“ Robin & Batgirl: Gotham's Sweethearts ”
Pairing: Dark Jason Todd x Fem Reader Part 2
Summary: He didn't expect to see someone like you. It was annoying at first, you were annoying. But he don't know when it start to change. Maybe this feeling was there since the day you smiled at him for the first time...
Warning: Teenagers in love.
Note: English is not my first language. Hope you enjoy!
Wayne Manor was too much. Too big, too clean, too quiet. Jason hated it. Or, at least, that’s what he told himself as he followed Bruce through the front doors.
It wasn’t just the size of the place that bothered him. It was everything. The warmth that lingered in the air, like someone actually lived here instead of just passing through. The way the walls didn’t feel like they were pressing in on him, like they used to in the cramped, crumbling apartment he used to call home.
Jason’s fists clenched inside his jacket pockets as he stepped further inside, his boots scuffing against the polished floor. He didn’t belong here.
He kept his head down, unwilling to meet Bruce’s eyes. This was temporary. A rich guy playing charity case with some kid from Crime Alley—nothing more. Jason wasn’t about to let himself get comfortable.
Then he saw her.
She was sitting on the bottom step of the staircase, her elbows resting on her knees, like she’d been waiting. Her head tilted slightly when she noticed him, and then she smiled.
It wasn’t the kind of smile Jason was used to. Not the fake ones people forced because they had to. This one was different. It was warm, reaching her eyes in a way that made something in his chest tighten uncomfortably.
“This is Jason,” Bruce said, his voice calm and steady as he rested a hand on Jason’s shoulder. “He’ll be staying with us.”
Jason stiffened under Bruce’s touch, his eyes flicking back to her. She stood, her movements light and unhurried, and walked toward him. Not too fast, not too slow. Just enough to make him feel like she wasn’t trying to crowd him.
When she stopped, she was close enough for Jason to see the brightness in her eyes. She looked at him like she actually saw him—not the kid from the streets, not the screw-up. Just… him.
“Hi, Jason,” she said, her voice soft and easy. “I’m Y/N. It’s nice to meet you.”
Jason stared at her outstretched hand. He didn’t move.
Why was she looking at him like that? Like she meant it? No one ever did that. No one ever meant it.
He almost turned away, almost muttered something rude just to get her to stop looking at him like that. Sweet, kind people like her—they never stuck around. They never meant it.
But she didn’t move. Didn’t pull her hand away. She just stood there, waiting, her head tilting slightly as if she were trying to figure him out.
Jason’s jaw tightened. He didn’t like this. Didn’t like her. Or maybe he didn’t like the way she made him feel, like she’d cracked open a part of him he’d long since buried.
But he didn’t want to seem rude either—not when she was just standing there, smiling at him like he was worth something. So, reluctantly, he reached out and shook her hand.
Her hand was soft. Warm. It felt strange against his, like it didn’t belong to the same world he came from.
“You’re going to love it here,” she said, her voice sure and steady.
Jason wanted to scoff, to tell her she didn’t know anything about him or what he’d been through. But when he looked at her, at the way her eyes shone like she truly believed what she was saying, the words caught in his throat.
“Yeah. Sure,” he muttered, pulling his hand back quickly.
She didn’t seem bothered by his tone. If anything, her smile grew wider. It was disarming in a way Jason hated—because it made him want to believe her.
“I’ll show him around!” she said, glancing back at Bruce before looking at Jason again.
Jason almost protested. He didn’t need a tour, and he definitely didn’t need her looking at him like that—like he wasn’t just another lost cause. But when she turned back to him, her eyes still warm, still full of something Jason didn’t recognize, he found himself hesitating.
“Come on,” she said, motioning for him to follow her.
Jason trailed behind her, his hands shoved back into his jacket pockets. He didn’t trust her, not yet. But there was something about the way she walked, the way she turned back to glance at him like she actually cared, that made him want to trust her.
And for the first time in longer than he could remember, Jason didn’t feel like he was completely alone.
Jason didn’t laugh. Not really. Not anymore.
He couldn’t remember the last time he had—not since before his mom died, maybe even before that. Laughter felt like something from another life, a luxury reserved for people who didn’t have to scrape by every day just to survive.
But somehow, she managed to change that.
They were sitting in the den. Bruce had called it a “common area,” but Jason couldn’t help thinking of it as some kind of museum with its pristine furniture and towering shelves of books. He didn’t belong here, and he felt it with every fiber of his being.
She didn’t seem to notice, though. She’d plopped down on the carpet next to him with a grin, cross-legged like they were at some middle school hangout and not in a billionaire’s mansion. She’d been talking, her words bubbling out as she shared some ridiculous story about a squirrel that had stolen Alfred’s tea biscuits earlier that day.
At first, Jason barely listened. He was used to tuning people out, especially when they were as chipper as she was. But her voice had a way of pulling him in, light and warm.
“And then Alfred’s standing there with the broom,” she was saying, her eyes wide with faux dramatics, “like he’s about to duel the squirrel. I swear, it was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.”
She mimicked Alfred’s stiff posture and the way he’d apparently shouted, “Out, you fiend!” at the tiny intruder. Her voice cracked at the end, and she doubled over laughing, her shoulders shaking with pure joy.
Jason couldn’t help it. The corner of his mouth twitched. Just a little at first, almost unnoticeable, but then her laugh hit him—a bright, contagious sound that echoed in the big, quiet room. Before he knew it, he let out a soft chuckle.
He tried to stop himself, but she noticed. Her head snapped up, and she gasped like she’d just discovered buried treasure.
“Was that a laugh?” she asked, pointing at him. “Did Jason Todd just laugh?”
Her mock-serious tone and exaggerated expression did something to him. The chuckle turned into a quiet laugh, and then it built—small and hesitant, like it wasn’t used to being there. She gasped again, clutching her chest like she was witnessing a miracle, and that was it.
Jason lost it.
He laughed harder than he had in years, his head tipping back as his chest heaved. It wasn’t a controlled laugh, either—it was wild, raw, and unfiltered. Tears pricked his eyes, and he tried to wipe them away, but every time he looked at her, still wide-eyed and grinning, it started all over again.
She didn’t even know what she’d done to make him laugh, which only made it funnier. She started laughing too, a little confused but clearly enjoying it.
“Jason!” she managed to get out between giggles. “What—what’s so funny?”
“I don’t even—” he tried, but the words were swallowed by another round of laughter.
Jason’s sides hurt, his cheeks ached, and for the first time in a long time, he didn’t feel the heavy weight he always carried. He felt… light.
When they finally calmed down, she was lying back on the carpet, staring at the ceiling with a big, goofy smile on her face. Jason was sitting up, wiping the last of the tears from his eyes, his breath still uneven.
“I don’t know how you do it,” he muttered, shaking his head.
“Do what?” she asked, rolling onto her side to face him.
He didn’t answer right away. He couldn’t tell her what he was really thinking—that she’d made him feel human again, even if just for a moment. That her laughter had warmed something inside him he’d thought was frozen solid.
Instead, he smirked and said, “Make a complete idiot out of yourself.”
She gasped, pretending to be offended, and tossed a pillow at him. But he caught the twinkle in her eyes, the way her smile lingered even as she rolled her eyes at him.
Jason didn’t laugh often. But now, sitting there with her, he thought maybe it was okay to let himself feel something good every once in a while.
“C’mon, Jaybird,” she said, her voice low and mischievous. “We’re ditching Bruce tonight.”
Jason froze mid-step, glancing toward where Bruce had gone, his figure already disappearing into the darkness. “What?”
“You heard me,” she said, tugging on his arm before leaping to the next rooftop. “Follow me!”
He didn’t know why he listened—maybe it was the way she said his name, like it was the only thing that mattered in that moment. Maybe it was the sheer audacity of ditching the Big Bad Bat himself. Or maybe it was just her.
Jason followed her, her laughter trailing behind her like music as she led him through Gotham’s skyline. They landed in a quiet corner of the city, far from the chaos, where a small ice cream cart sat under a flickering streetlight.
“Seriously?” Jason asked, raising an eyebrow as she handed him a cone.
“Seriously,” she said, already taking a bite of hers. “Even vigilantes deserve ice cream.”
He rolled his eyes but took a bite anyway, the cold sweetness melting on his tongue. It was stupid, he thought, standing there in his Robin suit, eating ice cream like a kid. But when she smiled at him, all he could do was smile back.
They walked a little farther, finding a spot on a hill overlooking the city. Fireworks were bursting in the distance, painting the night sky with flashes of color. She plopped down on the grass, patting the spot beside her.
Jason sat, feeling oddly out of place in the quiet. His lips twitched into a small smile, and he glanced at her, unsure what to say. Her face was close, too close, and before he could think of something snarky to deflect, she leaned her head against his shoulder.
Jason’s eyes widened. His heart was pounding so hard he was sure she could hear it.
He didn’t know what to do. She was so close, and her warmth seeped through his suit, chasing away the chill of the Gotham night. It wasn’t like she was heavy—she fit perfectly there, like she belonged.
Jason swallowed hard, staring at the fireworks as they burst in bright reds and golds. His mind was racing, but for once, the chaos in his head didn’t feel so loud.
He liked this. He liked her.
“You’re blushing,” she teased softly, her voice carrying a hint of laughter.
“Am not,” he muttered, but he didn’t pull away.
She tilted her head, looking up at him. Even in the faint glow of the fireworks, her smile was radiant. “You know, you’ve got really pretty eyes, Jaybird.”
Jason’s heart stuttered. Pretty. No one had ever called him that. He didn’t know what to say, so he just smiled, the corners of his lips quirking up despite himself.
Her voice broke through his thoughts, soft and full of affection. “You’re smiling, Jaybird.”
Jason hadn’t even realized he was. He let out a quiet chuckle. “Guess I am.”
He looked back at the sky, the fireworks reflecting in his wide green eyes. They were beautiful, he thought, but not as beautiful as the girl leaning on his shoulder.
It was beautiful. It was warm. It was lovely.
Just like her.
For the first time in forever, Jason felt like he could just exist, no walls, no armor. Just a boy sitting under the stars, sharing a moment with someone who made the world feel a little less cruel.
And for that, he was grateful.
Jason’s knuckles ached as he drove his fist into yet another thug’s face. He could hear Bruce’s gruff voice somewhere behind him, barking orders like usual, but he wasn’t paying much attention. The adrenaline was too loud in his ears.
She was right beside him, quick and agile, taking down opponents with ease. Jason always marveled at how graceful she was in a fight—like it was a dance she’d perfected long ago.
But then, suddenly, she wasn’t there.
It happened so fast Jason didn’t even notice at first. He swung at another thug, but when he turned to check on her, she was gone.
His heart skipped a beat.
“Batgirl?” he called out, scanning the chaos around him. His voice cracked slightly, but he didn’t care. “Where are you?”
Bruce was still fighting, his focus unbroken, but Jason couldn’t ignore the knot forming in his stomach. She wouldn’t just leave. She never left.
“Batgirl!” he shouted again, louder this time.
Nothing.
Panic surged through him as he darted between the scattered thugs, his eyes darting to every shadow, every corner. What if something had happened to her? What if she was hurt—or worse?
His chest tightened.
“Dammit, where are you?” he muttered, his voice barely audible over the sounds of the fight.
And then, out of nowhere, she appeared.
Jason froze, his breath catching in his throat as he looked up. She was descending from above, hanging upside down from a rope like some kind of acrobat. Her mask couldn’t hide the playful grin on her face.
“Looking for me, Jaybird?” she teased, her voice light and carefree, as if she hadn’t just given him a heart attack.
Before he could respond, she leaned down and kissed him.
Jason’s eyes widened, his brain short-circuiting as her lips pressed against his. It was quick and unexpected, and his face went red hot in an instant.
When she pulled back, she was still grinning. Jason, on the other hand, was a mess.
“What the—why—what were you thinking?” he stammered, his voice an awkward mix of anger and embarrassment. His cheeks burned, and he could feel the heat rising to the tips of his ears.
She laughed, a soft, melodic sound that made his heart race even faster. “Oh, calm down, Jaybird. It was just a kiss.”
“Just a kiss?!” he spluttered, glaring at her through his blush. “You—you can’t just—”
He reached up to push her away gently, still too flustered to think straight. But as soon as his hand touched her shoulder, the rope snapped.
Jason’s heart dropped.
“Y/N!” he shouted, reaching for her, but she was already falling.
She hit the ground with a thud, and Jason was beside her in an instant, his hands hovering over her like he wasn’t sure what to do.
“Are you okay? I’m sorry! Dammit, I didn’t mean to—are you hurt?” he rambled, his voice filled with worry.
She winced but gave him a crooked smile. “I’m fine, Jaybird. Just bruised my pride a little.”
Before he could argue, she leaned up and kissed him again. This time, Jason didn’t freeze.
He kissed her back.
It was clumsy and hesitant, but it was real. Her lips were warm and soft, and for a moment, the chaos of the world around them faded away.
When she pulled back, she was smirking again, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “So, did you like it?”
Jason groaned, his blush returning with full force. “Shut up,” he muttered, looking anywhere but at her.
But even as he helped her up, his lips twitched into the smallest of smiles. Bruce could handle everything else for now. Jason was exactly where he wanted to be.
The city stretched out before them, Gotham's endless sprawl of flickering lights and distant sirens. Jason liked it up here on the rooftops, where everything below felt a little less suffocating. The air was cooler, and the stars—hidden as they were by the smog—still seemed to fight to peek through.
She sat beside him, knees hugged to her chest, her mask discarded so she could feel the breeze. Jason was talking, half-joking about how one of the Joker’s goons had slipped on a banana peel during their last fight. His voice carried a rare lightness, a softness that only came out when they were alone like this.
“You should’ve seen his face,” Jason said with a grin. “It was like he’d just realized his whole life was one big punchline. Priceless.”
He chuckled to himself, but then he noticed she wasn’t laughing. She wasn’t even looking at the city. Her gaze was fixed on him, a soft smile tugging at her lips, her eyes shining with something he couldn’t quite place.
“What?” he asked, eyebrows furrowing. “What’s with that look?”
Her smile faltered just a little, but the warmth in her eyes didn’t fade. She took a deep breath, like she was bracing herself for something. “I love you.”
Jason froze.
Her words hung in the air, delicate and powerful all at once. His mouth opened slightly, like he was about to say something, but nothing came out. His brain stalled, caught between disbelief and a rush of emotions he couldn’t quite name.
“I—” she stammered, her cheeks flushing as she looked away. “I didn’t mean to just—forget I said anything. That was stupid, I—”
Jason reached out and grabbed her hand, his grip firm but careful, stopping her mid-sentence. She looked back at him, her eyes wide and uncertain, and he turned toward her fully.
“We’re going to get married,” he said, his voice steady, his eyes locked on hers.
Her mouth opened slightly, confusion flashing across her face. “W-What?”
“I said, we’re going to get married,” Jason repeated, dead serious. His jaw was set, his tone leaving no room for argument.
For a moment, she just stared at him, her lips parted in surprise. “Jason, that’s not—you can’t just say stuff like that—”
“You love me,” he interrupted, his voice softening, though his grip on her hand didn’t waver. “And I…” He hesitated, the words catching in his throat. “I love you too. So yeah. We’re getting married.”
She blinked at him, her face caught between disbelief and something he couldn’t quite name. And then, to his surprise, she laughed.
It started as a quiet chuckle but quickly grew into something brighter, freer, filling the cool night air. Jason couldn’t help it—he laughed too, the tension breaking as the sound bubbled up from his chest.
“You’re ridiculous,” she said, her voice still tinged with laughter.
“You’re the one who said it first,” Jason shot back, his lips quirking into a smirk.
She shook her head, her smile wide and unguarded as she wiped a stray tear from her cheek. “You scared the hell out of me for a second.”
“Good,” Jason said, though there was no edge to his words. His grip on her hand softened, and his thumb brushed against her knuckles almost absentmindedly.
As the laughter faded, the night grew quiet again. Jason glanced at her, taking in the way the moonlight softened her features, the way her hair caught the faint glow of the city lights.
In his heart, he made a silent promise.
He’d protect her, no matter what. Not because she needed it—she could hold her own better than anyone he knew—but because she deserved it. She deserved someone who’d fight for her, who’d stand by her no matter what Gotham threw their way.
Because he loved her.
And for once, Jason let himself feel that fully, without the usual fear or doubt creeping in.
“Hey,” she said, breaking the silence. “You’re staring at me now.”
Jason smirked, leaning back on his hands as he looked back out at the city. “Yeah? What about it?”
She smiled again, and this time, Jason felt it deep in his chest—a warmth that he knew he’d carry with him for the rest of his life.
She nudged him playfully, rolling her eyes. “Okay, Mr. Future Husband. Tell me this—would you ever kill for me?”
Jason’s expression softened. He didn’t even have to think about it. “Of course.”
She looked at him, her teasing grin slipping into something more thoughtful. “Really?”
“Yeah,” Jason said, his voice quieter now. “I’d do anything for you.”

Hi young butch here. I’m 22 and live in a pretty bigoted area. I’m non-binary on top of my butch identity. Do you have any advice on staying safe while also standing firm and proud in your identity as a butch lesbian?
I live in the Midwest and I have been out in my community a long time. Being a working part of the community goes a long way. There is value in making yourself known and valuable.
I have always been involved in helping with local events like parades or celebrations. I support local businesses and I smile and say hello A LOT. Remembering other people makes them feel seen and it then makes it harder for others to "hate" and if they are uncomfortable in my presence, a smile and a nod can go a long way to diffusing that tension.
I do have the privilege of being an extrovert but also being perceived as a man of first glance so in passing most people just don't even notice they are seeing a butch lesbian. Also, the women of my area and I kind of share the same fashion sense because many are farmers or union factory workers, or at least work outside at some point of their day.
When I am out and about I now hold an air of confidence that I belong in my community as a butch woman. I feel no need to get upset when called "sir" or to be overtly pushy about my sexuality. Making sure people I interact know I am friendly and really just getting on with my day at the feed store or Dollar General helps them to, at the very least, not put much thought into my looks or sexuality.
Anyone looking at me long enough to realize I am not a man probably know they are looking at a butch lesbian and a little smile and "hello" allows us all to just keep moving in our day.
It is not easy for everyone and I am aware that I hold extravert privilege. My best advice is to love who you are and dress as you are comfortable and let that confidence be known with eye contact, cheerful acknowledgement and kindness when you feel tension rise.
True bigots are going to hate even if you make their day better while the majority of people are not bigots but just not used to things outside the status quo of their straight life.
Be aware of your surroundings. Say an authentic hi to those you interact with and be confident enough to know not every side eye and smirk is out of hate. And even if they are, you know you are a valuable and belong in the community in which you live. Don't let haters take that knowledge from you.

my boyfriend's a vampire | ( fem!reader ) fluff + soft hours. established relationship headcanons wc 1.6k (library) + (request)
one. who gained an inevitable infatuation with you because of your uncanny resemblance to a past lover he had hundreds of years ago. you were walking home late at night, lost in your own world while completely in tune with whatever music blasted through your headphones. you were so distracted that you wouldn't even realize a mugger chasing you. highly unsafe, he thought.
it seemed like easy prey to him, he didn't even pull out his usual over the top techniques, he just followed closely behind until you were in a more secluded area. his footsteps got quicker and quicker, and he got closer and closer, until he was barely a wisp away. he grabbed your shoulder, whipping you around. you let out a shrill scream in return, both of you stuck frozen in place. you trembled in fear, while his grip on your shoulder loosened, and fell to your elbow. "mon cherie?" he quietly whispered. your face so familiar, those same plump lips that he missed so much coated in a sticky gloss, your hair the same length as the last time he saw you take your last breath, and your scent carrying solemn memories. you came back to him, at last.
your wide eyes looked at him in fear, your figure physically recoiling away from him the more he stood frozen in shock. your visible discomfort snapping him out of his trance. "oh, um—yo-you dropped this." he muttered out, revealing the lip gloss in his palm that he had snagged from your purse without you noticing. you quickly accepted it before scurrying away, your head whisking behind your shoulder a few times to make sure he wasn't following behind, yet as soon as he saw you slow down your pace, he began to follow you until you reached home.
two. who is your personal shadow. wherever you go, he's not too far behind. always closely analyzing your every move. not in a scrutinizing way, but with pure fixation. after seeing you pass in such a horrific way centuries ago, the simplest tasks keep him infatuated with you. he'll watch you fix a pb&j as if you're completing a once in a lifetime mission. "you don't have to watch me write my essay, matt." you quietly murmured, your eyes remaining trained on your computer screen, even as warmth creeped up your neck from the pressure of his gaze. being caught in the act as well as the simple mention of his name made him shy away from your peripheral vision, resorting to floating behind you. "you just move with such eloquence, mon amour. i can't help but stare." he'd admit quietly, the brush of his lips tickling the lobe of your ear, a small smirk making its way on his face at the sound of your quickening heartbeat.
three. who doesn't sleep but will cuddle you from sunset to sunrise. he knows how important it is for humans to get their sleep, finding that it keeps them healthy and from going completely insane, he ensures that you follow a strict sleeping schedule. usually, when nighttime falls and the moon makes an appearance, he has little to no acception of you staying up past a certain time. only every now and then will he let you bend the rules, but it's very rare. he wants you to maintain the best health possible and will take every measure to make sure you keep it. after having a particularly vicious nightmare one night, matt swore to stay close to you even when you're asleep. you tell him that he doesn't have to do it but he continues to do so anyway, finding comfort in a routine with you, yet never admitting it. always saying "oh, please. the best sleep you get is when you're with me."
four. who is hesitant to feed on you when he starts to get hungry out of fear of hurting you. you've offered plenty of times and each time he's turned it down without an argument. it's not like he doesn't want to, because he absolutely does. hearing your blood rush in thick streams through connected veins has been the main reason on why he's so hesitant on keeping you close, yet he still continues to. even when it drives him mad. albeit pouty, that he won't drink your blood, you've offered animals in the woods behind your house, but he simply refuses to ever feed on animals, having too intense of a fondness for them, you'll sometimes catch him talking to them but you never question it. his hunger only satiated by mutilating muggers and sleazy men in the dead of night when you're fast asleep, always making it home in time to clean himself up and sneak back into bed without you noticing.
five. who lets you dress him in todays' fashion and will unwillingly be your test dummy for wigs and makeup. as time went on, matt grew out of his outdated blouses and followed suit on whatever fashion was popular. he didn't dive too deep into the trends, only wearing what he liked and assumed was more fitting. pilgrim shoes weren't exactly today's fashion and it hadn't been for years. his once colonial style had slipped into a more business casual flair. you liked his style, but you also liked to persuade him into a pair of baggy jeans every once in a while. when you weren't doing that, you were using him as a mannequin to style your wigs on or as a test dummy for new makeup looks. "princesse, this isn't even my shade."
six. who communicates to you telepathically. he's not really one for words unless he's writing them down, and he made that known so you wouldn't be put off by his silence. yet it did startle you when he randomly started to communicate with you telepathically. it became a habit for the two of you, sometimes being in completely separate rooms but still managing full blown conversations with each other. there has been a handful of occasions where you've introduced a friend to matt in your head and not out loud. it's a handy way to communicate, you just have to find a healthy balance.
seven. who writes you love letters. not being that big of a talker or one for boisterous romantic gestures, matt resorts to writing you love letters. everything he feels but can't say has been transferred onto delicate pieces of paper. there are piles and piles of letters addressed to you, some delivered to you, others kept locked away. the ones he keeps locked away are letters that no lady should see. they're shameful, white sheets being stained with red ink as he explains every primal desire that haunts him whenever he sees you, feels you. sometimes he'll go back and re-read said letters, flustering himself at how feral he sounds. he will never let those sheets of paper ever see the light of day. the other letters, the more light-hearted and sappy ones, he'll fold up and put them in different places for you to find throughout your day. under your pillow for you to read before you go to bed, on the fridge door handle, wedged in a flower bouquet, etc.. they can range from a short 7 word sentence to a 1200 word document. all of them oozing words of love.
eight. who loves your obsession with his fangs. he always watches with a fond smile as you cuddle close to him and poke at his fangs. "they're so sharp.." you'd mutter, gently sliding the nail of your finger down one. he'd jokingly bite at your finger as if he'd actually bite it off, making you retract your finger in fear with a shrill squeak, his laugh at your reaction making you laugh with him. with his sharp teeth he makes good use out of them, opening bottles, slicing through bags of chips, cutting fruit, carving pumpkins, etc.. he also likes to do a stereotypical vampire kiss where he dips you down and playfully bites your neck. never hard enough to draw blood, but enough to tickle you.
nine. who turns into a bat to avoid arguments. every time he senses one of your conversations starting to go left, his walls start to build up. sometimes he feels cornered and doesn't know how to react in those situations, he never did even with a millennia of experience. so, his go to mechanism is to turn into a bat. 'bats can't talk so you can't be mad at him' not to mention, how utterly adorable he is in his bat form, hanging in the corner of the roof, all bundled up, his doe eyes warily peaking out past his wings. he knows exactly where to hit the weak spots and will take advantage in his favor. he won't leave his bat form unless the situation is really upsetting/serious to you or until you've calmed down.
ten. who can't lose you again. he knows as a human that your time is extremely limited and precious. but for you, it doesn't have to be. everytime he hears you complain about abnormalities that only humans go through he suggests the idea of turning you. "you know, you wouldn't have to go through any back pain as a vampire." you laugh it off, underestimating how completely serious he is. matt has already dealt with the loss of you one time and he refuses to go through it again. being without you changed him for the worst, so, he'll take any and every measure possible to keep you around. even if it means turning you into a vampire while you're at your most defenseless.

you’ve been by buck’s side for as long as you could remember. from scraped knees and childhood pranks to the rollercoaster of adulthood, he’d always been your best friend. the two of you were inseparable, a bond forged through years of shared triumphs and heartbreaks.
no matter what life threw at him, and there had been plenty, you stayed.
it wasn’t always easy. buck’s tendency to charge headfirst into situations, consequences be damned, often left you picking up the pieces. but you didn’t mind. he’d do the same for you without hesitation, and that’s what mattered.
you’d always have his back, even when you knew he was wrong. of course, that didn’t mean you’d let him get away with it. you’d tell him exactly what you thought once the dust settled, but only after making sure he knew you were in his corner.
the firehouse was quieter than usual that morning. the buzz of conversation and movement had faded, leaving behind a quiet that wasn’t quite still. strained, like everyone was holding their breath as soon as evan stepped foot in the building.
buck had walked into the kitchen with his jaw set, his bag slung over his shoulder, and his firehouse blues perfectly pressed. he was here to fight for his place back on the team, back in the field where he belonged. but it wasn’t going well.
“buck, you’re still on blood thinners,” bobby said, his voice firm but tinged with concern. “i can’t in good conscience let you back out there. it’s too risky.”
buck’s face was a mix of frustration and annoyance. “bobby, i’ve done everything you’ve asked! the physical therapy, the psych evals, the check ups. i’m ready! you know i am.”
from where you stood, you could see his hands curling into fists at his sides. the passion in his voice tugged at your heart, but you knew bobby wasn’t going to budge. the captain’s concern for his team often manifested as unyielding protectiveness, and buck was no exception.
when bobby’s gaze flicked to you, silently asking for support, you pushed off the counter and walked toward the brewing storm.
“hey,” you said softly, stepping between them and placing a hand lightly on buck’s arm. his muscles were taut beneath your touch, and his eyes burned with frustration as they met yours. “buck… let’s take a minute.”
“don’t,” he warned, his voice tight.
you gave him a look. one he knew too well. it said you weren’t here to argue, but you weren’t backing down either. turning back to bobby, you said, “look, bobby, i’ve seen how hard he’s worked. he’s been pushing himself every single day to prove he’s ready. can we at least acknowledge that?”
bobby’s expression softened, but his stance didn’t change. “i do acknowledge it. but acknowledging it doesn’t change the fact that his body isn’t ready for the risks out there. this isn’t about effort. it’s about safety.”
buck let out a frustrated sound and ran a hand through his hair. you could see the argument building in his mind, the stubbornness that had been both his greatest strength and his biggest flaw since you’d known him.
“let’s go,” you said firmly, tugging gently on his arm. he resisted for a moment but then sighed heavily and followed you toward the locker room. the silence between you was heavy, broken only by the sound of the door clicking shut behind you.
you turned to face him, crossing your arms. “alright. let’s talk.”
“what is there to talk about?” he snapped, pacing the small space. “bobby doesn’t trust me. he’s treating me like i’m fragile, like i’m–”
“like you almost died?” you interrupted gently. the words made him stop in his tracks, his eyes darting to yours.
“that’s not fair,” he said quietly.
“isn’t it?” you countered, stepping closer. “buck, you were struck by lightning. do you even realise how lucky you are to be standing here right now? and you’re still recovering. i know you hate hearing that, but it’s the truth.”
“i’m fine,” he insisted, but his voice lacked the conviction it usually held.
you reached out, placing a hand on his arm again, this time to steady him as much as to comfort him. “you’re getting there, buck. and i’m so proud of you for how far you’ve come. but you’re not invincible. you can’t rush this just because you feel ready. your body needs time.”
he looked away, his jaw clenching. “i just… i need to be out there. i need to feel like myself again. this… sitting around, waiting… it’s killing me.”
“i know,” you said softly. “but you know what would actually kill me? if something happened to you because you pushed yourself too hard, too fast. buck, i…” you hesitated, your voice catching. “i can’t lose you.”
his eyes snapped back to yours, and for a moment, the weight of your words hung between you. slowly, his shoulders sagged, and the fire in his eyes dimmed to a simmer.
“i… i just feel so useless,” he admitted.
“you’re not useless,” you said firmly, stepping closer and wrapping your arms around him. he stiffened for a moment before melting into your embrace, his forehead dropping to your shoulder.
your hand moved to the back of his head, “you’re far from it .” your fingers threading gently through his hair, while your other hand rubbed soothing circles on his back.
“you’re one of the strongest people i know,” you murmured. “but being strong doesn’t mean you have to do everything on your own. let us help you. let me help you.”
he let out a shaky breath, his arms tightening around you. “you’re always here for me,” he said, his voice muffled against your shoulder.
“always,” you promised.
for a long moment, you just held him, letting the quiet of the locker room wrap around you both. eventually, he pulled back, his eyes red but determined.
“okay,” he said. “i’ll wait. for now.”
you smiled, reaching up to brush a stray tear from his cheek. “that’s all i’m asking. one step at a time, buck. we’ll get there. together.”
he nodded, a small, grateful smile tugging at his lips. and for the first time that day, the tension seemed to ease.
he lets out a long breath. “you know,” he said, glancing at you with the faintest smirk, “you could’ve just said i’m being an idiot and saved us both a lot of time.”
you raised an eyebrow, walking with him toward the station doors. “oh, trust me, i was tempted. but i figured the heartfelt speech would sink in better.”
buck chuckled softly, shaking his head. “you’re too good to me.”
“don’t get used to it,” you teased, nudging him with your shoulder. “next time, i’m letting bobby do the talking.”
he laughed, a little more genuinely this time, and for the first time that day, some of the weight seemed to lift. as you stepped outside, you gave him a sideways look. “just remember. you owe me lunch for this.”
“fine,” he said, grinning now. “but i’m not sharing my fries.”
“deal,” you replied, grinning back.
it wasn’t much, but it was enough.

the way you love
pairing: george russell x reader
summary: loving george russell is as easy as breathing sometimes, especially with the way he loves you. loosely inspired by stardust by zayn. (2.8k)
a/n: welcome to the first of four holiday fics! i'm hoping to post one a day until christmas eve, so stay tuned :)
Maybe you should’ve waited inside for George to pick you up.
Granted, you haven't been out here long, and you know he’ll be here soon, but it’s cold. Frigid wind whips your hair around your face, scraping over your skin harshly.
You nuzzle a little deeper into your scarf in a poor attempt to protect your cheeks.
The two cardboard cups clutched in your hands do help a little with the biting cold. One for you, one for George, both filled to the brim with steaming coffee from the little shop down the street from your building.
They’ve rolled out their holiday cups today, as noted by the festive little scene printed across the sleeve. It makes you smile, and you think George will probably like it too.
George’s sleek car pulls up in front of you with a gentle rumble not long later. You’re expecting him to be smiling when he gets out, but when his head pops over the roof of the car, he just looks concerned.
“Blimey, have you been waiting out here the entire time?” He exclaims incredulously, rounding the front of the car quickly.
You barely have time to nod before he’s easing the cups out of your grip. Only once they’re secured into cup holders inside the car does he grab your hands, bringing them up to his mouth to breathe a little warmth back into them.
“Didn’t want you to have to wait on me,” You say, as if it’s any excuse to have been standing in the freezing cold. Really, you just wanted to see George as soon as he came to pick you up. You’ve just seen him only last week, but it feels like forever.
“Darling, it’s freezing,” He reasons. He’s smiling now, despite the attempt to keep his firm composure.
You frown. “I missed you.”
He kisses you instead of answering, short and sweet, but still bursting with affection.
“Hi,” You say softly, nuzzling deeper into his broad palm after he pulls back an inch or two. His thumbs swipe over your cheeks, bringing some more much needed heat back into your skin. You won’t tell him, but your nose had been starting to lose a bit of feeling.
“Hi. I missed you too,” He replies, fondness dripping from his tone.
“Yeah?”
“Of course. Longest five days of my life.”
That makes you grin even harder, pushing forward for another quick kiss. “Mine too.”
“Glad we feel the same.” He looks very pleased. “Shall we get a move on? We’re a little early, but I know how much you hate being late to things. I even told Alex to expect us early.”
You’re set to head to Alex Albon’s Christmas party in a little bit. George goes every year, but this is the first time you’re going too. You’re excited, nervous, and a little bit scared at the prospect of finally getting to meet all of George’s friends at one time. You've met a handful of them individually, gradually, George happily introducing you as his girlfriend every time, but never in such a large social setting like this party.
You aren’t quite sure what to expect, but if the ones you haven’t met are anything like the ones you have, you’ll be just fine.
“And what did he say about that?”
“That Lily is relieved someone competent is coming round to help out, so I’d say he’s pretty okay with it,” George says, chuckling. “C’mon, let's get you out of the cold.”
You allow George to help you into the car, letting out a comfortable sigh at the blazing warmth of the car interior. George has always liked to keep your shared spaces running hot despite your wishing for the opposite, but for the first time ever, you’re actually grateful for your boyfriend’s temperature preference.
“Nice, isn’t it?” He teases as he climbs into the driver’s seat, nudging at your shoulder. “See, I told you you’d come around someday.”
“Only because it’s cold as shit outside,” You huff, rolling your eyes playfully. “I got you coffee.”
“Thank you, darling. Though I wish you hadn’t sacrificed your health to do so.”
“I know you had another late night yesterday, thought you might be tired. It’s fine, really, I didn’t mind,” You insist, shaking your head.
“You’re very sweet,” George says softly, leaning over the center to press a kiss to your cheek.
You’re not sure what comes over you, but you turn at the last moment so he catches your lips instead. He lets out a noise of surprise, but has no hesitation in kissing you back happily, slipping a hand around the back of your neck to pull you closer.
You kiss and kiss and kiss until your lips start to tingle, and even then, you’re reluctant to pull away. There’s something intoxicating about kissing George that makes you want to do it forever.
“If we stay here any longer, we might actually end up being late,” George murmurs. He blinks at you, long lashes fluttering open and shut slowly. His breath fans across your skin on every exhale, cologne invading your senses until all that surrounds you is him.
“That would be bad.”
“Mm, awful,” He agrees. Still, he doesn’t make any attempt to pull away, perfectly content here, hiding away with you in the coziness of your close proximity. His nose drags along your cheek, lips following the path until he reaches the corner of your mouth.
You exhale shakily. “Alex and Lily are expecting us.”
“They are.”
“So we should go.”
“I mean, we don’t have to…” George trails off, letting his head tilt to the side.
“Yes, we do. Someone roped us into helping with party prep.”
He sighs rather heavily, handsome features screwing into overdramatic annoyance. “Starting to regret that right about now.” That makes you giggle. “Alright, fine. Let’s get this over with so we can go home.”
“There’s that holiday spirit!”
The drive over to Alex’s is fairly short. It actually takes more time to make yourselves presentable and not at all like you’ve just been making out in the car, before making your way up to Alex and Lily’s. George has brought presents for both of your friends—a watch for Alex and a bottle of perfume for Lily, he’d informed you in the elevator, bought by him, but a gift from the both of you.
The door swings open with a blast of music and the smell of something delicious not seconds after you knock. Alex stands just behind it with a gracious smile on his face and a flute of something bubbly in hand.
“Hi, welcome—oh, thank god you’re here,” He breathes. Then he stops, stares at the two of you for a few moments, as if he’s studying the both of you. A knowing smirk quirks his lips right after. “George, you’ve got lipstick on your chin, mate.”
George’s hand flies up to his face, rubbing furiously. His cheeks have flushed an embarrassed pink at his friend’s smug observation.
“I’m just kidding. But it was funny to see you panic,” Alex snickers.
“Ha ha, hilarious. Maybe I won’t give you this gift after all.”
Alex takes both boxes eagerly, tucking them under his arm with a wink. “Come on in, friends.”
The flat is decorated tastefully—festive, but not gaudy. You assume Lily had done most of the decor rather than Alex.
Speaking of—
“You’re here!!! Thank god!” Lily exclaims, barely paying George any mind before she whisks you away, chattering away immediately, wanting your opinions on everything from the appetizers to the seating arrangements at dinner. You cast a helpless glance over your shoulder at your boyfriend, who merely gives you an amused wave back.
You do what Lily tells you needs finishing up until the rest of the guests start to make their arrival. Most of the other drivers are in attendance, save for a few who’d opted to spend the holidays home with their families. Charles and Carlos are here, Lando and Oscar, Yuki, Pierre, Zhou and Franco, to name a few.
The bundle of nerves in your chest starts to unravel as more familiar faces trickle in, and you’re able to catch up with a couple of them. You’re chatting with Kika and Pierre about what’s new with Simba when a hand touches the small of your back.
Instantly, you know it's George. His touch is the only one that sends butterflies through you. That’s never happened with anyone else before, but with George, you feel alight with a certain energy every time.
You lean back into him on instinct, tilting your head up to look at him. His cheeks are slightly rosy, hair still perfectly coiffed, save for one curl that has escaped to hang over his forehead. You reach up to brush it back and he smiles, sliding a hand around your waist.
“So sorry to interrupt, you lot. Just wanted to pop in and see if anybody needed a refresher on their drinks,” He offers, though his gaze rests solely on you.
“Thank you, but we’re good, mate,” Pierre replies, as Kika shakes her head to decline too.
George says your name, lips lifting into a small smile as he juts his chin at your nearly empty glass.
“Thank you, Georgie,” You say gratefully. “Don’t forget to—”
“Make it sweeter? Yes, I know how you take your drinks, darling,” He hums, kissing your cheek quickly before retreating with your glass.
“You’ve trained him well,” Pierre teases, winking at you.
“I think he was born that way,” You admit.
That isn’t a lie. According to George’s sister, who you’d had the pleasure of meeting a few months back, he'd always been very kind, very caring, even when he was young. It’s one of the many qualities of his that has you falling in love with him a little more with every passing day.
George leaves you to your own conversations after bringing you your drink, but you see him periodically throughout the night. He always looks like the life of the conversation, talking animatedly, listening with rapt attention when he’s not yapping away.
Even as he’s listening intently, it’s like he can sense you’re looking at him, because he finds you almost instantly, sending a smile or a wink your way. That’s another lovable quality of his—knowing where you are even when he’s not with you. Like you’re two magnets being pulled towards each other at all times.
The more you chat with everyone else, one thing becomes obvious. George talks about you a lot. Not enough to be obnoxious, but he's mentioned you to many of his friends.
Charles knows you’ve been looking into learning how to play the piano because George had asked him something about which pianos were the best. Yuki offers up a few cooking tips because George had mentioned you wanted to try your hand at a new dish. Lewis congratulates you on a big project you’d finished at work a while back, telling you that George had been singing your praises in the garage right after you'd called.
If you look back at it, George has always been one of your biggest supporters.
Always wanting you to call him whenever something big happens because he can’t be there all the time, always doing things for you when he’s away so you never for a moment feel like he's not thinking of you. Sending you flowers, ordering you food from your favorite spot in Monaco even though he's a thousand miles away because he knows it’ll make you smile. Even just texting you a picture of something he saw that made him think of you.
George makes you feel so, so loved, all the time. Like, wherever you are in the world, no matter, everything will be okay because you’ve got him. You could be on some far off deserted island in the middle of nowhere with nothing but the land to live off of, but if George is there with you, it wouldn’t be all that bad.
Sometimes you wonder what your life would’ve been like if you’d never met him, but you never get far with those thoughts. You can’t even imagine what life would look like without George Russell. And honestly, you don’t really want to.
“Ready to head out?” George’s voice draws you out of your thoughts, and when you refocus, he’s right in front of you, holding out your coat. For a moment, you can only stand there, blinking back at him like you’ve just laid eyes on him for the first time ever.
He falters a little under your intense staring. “Darling? Are you alright? You look like you’ve just seen a ghost.”
“Sorry, yeah. I’m fine, I’m just…tired, I think.”
“Let’s go home then. Stay the night at mine?”
“Duh,” You say. Your obvious tone makes George chuckle a little bit as he helps you slip into your coat.
“How silly of me to even ask.”
After finding your hosts to thank them for the great evening and subsequently being invited for a game of doubles padel with them one of these days, you're off.
“I don’t have any skin cleanser,” You say suddenly, just as George has pulled onto the main road.
“What?”
“At your place. I don’t have my cleanser, the one I always use before bed.”
“The one in the little green bottle?”
“Yeah.” You frown, slumping back in your seat. In hindsight, it’s really not the biggest deal in the world, and you’re not sure why you’re making it one. But for some reason right now, you’re focused on it.
“Lucky for you, your wonderful boyfriend bought a bottle just in case this happened. He figured you’d probably forget it one of these days.”
“Is there a reason my wonderful boyfriend is referring to himself in the third person?” You giggle, shifting in your seat to face said thoughtful boyfriend. George’s cheeks are flushed a little pink.
“Yeah, I thought it was a little weird too. Anyways, there’s a bottle in the bathroom cupboard.”
“Thank you, Georgie. You’re always so thoughtful.”
“Y’know, you could just move in with me. That way you won’t have to worry about not having things at mine anymore.” He doesn’t take his eyes off the road as he speaks, but you can see his Adam’s apple bob as he swallows nervously. “You’ve already got loads of stuff there anyways, why not just bring it all? You wouldn’t have to drive across the city every time you come over, for one.”
“I barely drive to yours anyways, you know. You always insist on picking me up,” You tease. George smiles, but you can tell he’s serious about wanting you to move in with him. You sigh, squeezing his hand. “Babe, I’d love nothing more, but…I could never afford to live with you.”
“I’m not going to have you pay rent or anything like that, darling. I wouldn't ask that of you.” George’s nose wrinkles, like it’s absurd of you to even think about it. “Just your company would be more than enough, honestly. Make the place less empty, more like…home.”
You can already imagine it. Falling asleep next to each other every night, waking up tangled together every morning, getting to come home and unwind with each other after long days. Breakfasts and afternoon teas and dinners you’d make together in George’s massive kitchen. Your stuff mingling with his in every room of the place.
Maybe you’d adopt a pet together one day, one that could keep you company every time George was away for races.
“Okay,” You say softly. You’ve already convinced yourself. “Let’s live together.”
George pulls to a stop at the red light, taking the opportunity to lean over into your space and kiss you gently. “Let’s do it, darling.”
Taking the next step in your relationship seems daunting, but George will be there to soothe any anxieties you have. He always is.
“Oh no! We forgot about the coffee.” He frowns, plucking the still full cup out of the holder suddenly. Then he shrugs, taking a giant sip of it. “Cute cup.”
“George, it’s cold!” You exclaim, tugging at his sleeve. “Just throw it out when we get home.”
“It tastes fine!”
“It’s probably stale.”
“I think it’s delicious.”
“You’re so weird.”
He chooses to ignore the muttered quip, letting a giant grin stretch his lips instead, eyes gleaming with excitement. “You called it home.”
“Well, it is now, isn’t it? Or will be soon enough.”
“Sure will. I’m thinking we move you in tomorrow.”
You chuckle, shaking your head at his enthusiasm. “I have to get out of my lease first. It might take a while too, my landlord is kind of an asshole.”
“I’ll give him double whatever you’re paying right now to let you out of it early. No, triple.”
“I don’t think he’d appreciate bribery, but he is a Mercedes fan.”
“Paddock passes and VIP club access to Monaco next season, done.”

Hi lovie! May i request something? Can you write angst to comfort with simon or john? Love me some ex to lover or just like another chance romance where the boys are grovelling teehee
Of course I can, angel!♡ I hope you like this, I'm so sorry that it's late. I really wanted to make it more angsty at the beginning and sweet at the end so enjoy.
What Remains ₊˚⊹♡
Warnings: angsty, simon being a bit of a prick tbh, fluff at the end.
The dreaded knock came late—sharp and deliberate, breaking the silence of your small apartment. You weren’t expecting anyone at this time, but the minute you opened the door and saw him standing there, everything froze.
Simon.
He looked the same, but so different. The mask was gone, but his darkening aura stayed the same. He didn’t say anything; he stared at you like he wasn’t sure you’d let him speak.
“What do you want?” you said, voice harsher than you expected.
“I came to talk,” he muttered, his voice low, almost hesitant, “To apologise.”
You let out a harsh laugh and crossed your arms.
“Talk? Now? After you walked out of my life without a word? Months, Simon. Months. And now you want to talk?”
“I know,” he said quickly, his tone defensive, as if bracing for impact.
“I know I fucked up.”
“Fucked up?” You stepped back, gesturing wildly, “No, Simon. You didn’t just ‘fuck up.’ You destroyed me. Do you even get that?”
He winced, his lips pressing into a hard line. “I left to keep you safe. I didn’t have a choice.”
“Oh, don’t give me that bullshit,” you snapped. “You always have a choice. You just didn’t want to deal with me, so you made the easiest one. Don’t pretend you did it for me.”
His head snapped up at that, and for the first time, you saw something crack in him.
“You think it was easy? Leaving you? That it didn’t tear me apart every time i thought about it?”
“Sure looked easy from where I was standing,” you fired back. You knew it wasn’t like that, but you had lost it with him now.
“I was trying to protect you,” he said, voice harder now, colder. It was like he went back to who he was in the field, merciless and cruel.
“Do you have any idea the kind of shit that follows me? The kind of danger I drag around? I left because I didn’t want you caught in the crossfire. You know I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if anything happened to you.”
“Protect me?” You let out a bitter laugh. “That’s rich, Simon. Did you ever stop to think about how it felt on my end? Not knowing if you were dead, alive, or just done with me? You didn’t protect me. You abandoned me.”
That word hit him like a slap. His jaw clenched, and something in his expression shifted, turning darker. “You think I wanted to do that? That it didn’t fucking kill me to walk away? I was trying to do the right thing.”
“Yeah, well, you failed,” you shot back. “Congratulations. All you did was prove I meant nothing to you.”
He let out a sharp, bitter laugh. “You think you meant nothing? Christ, I couldn’t stop thinking about you. I thought about you every fucking day. Do you know how many times I wanted to pick up the phone? To come back? But I couldn’t.”
“Why? Why couldn’t you?” you demanded, your voice breaking. You didn’t want to get emotional with him but you couldn’t help it.
“What stopped you? What could possibly be worse than what you did to me?”
Simon’s voice dropped, “Because I was scared, alright? Scared I’d lose you for good. Scared you’d get hurt because of me.”
You stared at him, the weight of his words hitting you like a tidal wave. For a small moment, neither of you said anything, just stood there in the wreckage of everything unsaid.
“You broke me, Simon. You left me with nothing. And now you just show up, expecting me to forgive you?”
“I don’t expect your forgiveness,” he said, his tone softer now, the fight draining out of him. “I just… I couldn’t stay away anymore. I had to try. Even if you want to slam the door in my face, I’ll take it, but I needed you to know I’m sorry. For all of it.”
You felt your resolve cracking, the anger giving way to something else—something just as painful.
“You don’t get to do this to me,” you whispered. “You don’t get to come back like this and try to undo everything I’ve been through.”
“I know,” he said gently. “But I can’t let you go without a fight. Just because I left doesn’t mean I don’t love you anymore.”
Your arms hung limp at your sides, the weight of his words crushing you. You couldn’t tell if you were angry at him or just upset.
“I know I’ve been a prick, baby, trust me I know. And I hate myself for ever doing this to you. I wasn’t thinking properly. Fuck, I just- ”. He sighed and rubbed his eyes.
He looked… lost? Like he didn’t know how to fix this, and it tugged at something deep inside you, even through the anger.
“Simon,” you said quietly, your voice softer now.
His hand dropped, and he looked at you, the raw emotion in his eyes catching you off guard. “I’ll spend the rest of my life making this up to you if you let me,” he whispered. “I just want you back. Please.”
The sincerity in his voice broke you, and you couldn’t even get a moment to second-guess yourself.
“One chance, Simon. That’s all you’re getting.”
Guys i fear this is one of the best things i’ve written (my favourite). And it’s actually proof-read because i could be asked to get the grammar correct!! So proud. Thank you anon for this lovely, lovely request `౨ৎ~

TEEN SIMON RILEY TROPE
cut bench!simon riley . 16 years old
______________________________________________________________
What a great first job, your parents promised you. Working at your local pizza joint!
That’s what you thought, as well. Most of the workers there were two or three years older than you, besides the shift runners in their early twenties, and of course, your manager.
The second you had turned fourteen your parents decided you needed a job, needed some responsibility. So they made you organise your walks to work and a carpool - usually with the friendlier shift runner or delivery driver - so you could get home after those four hour shifts you hated.
Since being trained to deal with customers, you’d been put on sauce bench - the name speaking for itself. You stood at a bench and sauced pizzas for hours at a time.
The only positive of this was your position in front of cut bench.
This was because more often than not, Simon worked there, cutting pizzas with - not always precision - but definitely something.
Not that you’d ever exchanged more than a few words with the sandy-haired sixteen year old, but you had certainly exchanged glances. It was pretty much old news every time his eyes snagged on yours as he walked in to start his shift.
He was always fashionably late, in stark comparison to your infallible earliness, and you had the pleasure of watching as he slouched in, eyes tracing up and down your form in that apron and skinny jeans you always wore.
He barely ever chose to speak to you, unless you both were working a late shift and were alone in-store. It didn’t help that you seemed to stumble over your words whenever he opened his mouth within a two-meter radius of you.
You’d heard about Simon’s multiple girlfriends. He wasn’t a very faithful guy.
So you tried to stay away, at least for as long as you could.
Until he hitched a ride home in the same car you had lined up.
When he opened the door and plonked himself down in the backseat beside you with a groan, you sat up fast, boots scraping on the car’s floor mats as you subconsciously tried to make yourself appear smaller. Oh, God, this is so embarrassing…
Simon turned slowly, his eyes meeting yours for a long moment, before he muttered his address to the driver.
You couldn’t help but stare, his angular jaw and dilated brown eyes always a point of interest. He looked much older than he was, due to the fact one of your shift runners kept offering him cigarettes he couldn’t refuse.
He said, after a very awkward silence, ‘Pretty busy tonight, huh?’
You sighed, nodding. ‘Fuck - it was awful. Never want to sauce another classic crust in my life.’
Simon snorted a laugh. ‘We should swap. I don’t fancy cutting any more pizzas. Ever.’
‘Me - cut bench? And I’ve heard the stories of your time on sauce bench, mister. I don’t think our managers would be too happy.’
‘Pfft. I’m still good at everything in store.’
‘The way John talks about you, I’d hope so.’
John was one of your shift runners, a friendlier but short-fused man in his early twenties.
For another five or so minutes, you sat in silence. Simply trading glances, until the car stopped. You had pulled up two streets over from your own house, within comfortable walking distance - you assumed that was what the driver had intended until Simon’s door opened and shut.
You gave thanks to your driver and clambered out of the car as well, calling out to Simon. ‘Hey - I live a few streets down from you.’
He turned, tilting his head. ‘You gonna walk home? At ten o’clock? This street is sketchy as hell.’
You flushed. ‘Um…’ you really hadn’t thought this one out.
‘C’mon. I’ll walk you home. What’s your address?’
You mumbled out an answer and he fell into step beside you. Slowly, surprisingly easy conversation came, until you realised you’d basically bumped into your front door without noticing.
‘Well…’ you tried awkwardly, but Simon cut you off suddenly.
‘Can I get your number?’

heyy! may i ask for vocal term ver of svt meeting your friends? 👉🏼👈🏼 (btw i am the same anon who asked for the performance team ver of it hehe)
svt + meeting your friends (pt 3)
➔ requested || reaction || vocal unit
➔ warnings: none || 0.8k words ➔ notes: fluff ; heya! i hope you liked the performance unit version of it; it was fun to write, so i hope other people love it, too. here's the vocal team version of the same prompt. please reblog if you enjoyed! i love reading all of the comments. thank you for sending in my last request!! :)
JEONGHAN: he was just going to drop you off and head home, but your friends needed someone for their pick up basketball game—just until the last person of your friend group got out of traffic—and they heard that he's pretty athletic. "just a little," he allows, stretching his limbs. he doesn't have to stay, but he doesn't have much else to do at home and this is the perfect chance to make a good impression on your friends. everyone goes around quickly introducing themselves in a circle, and that's all the team-bonding they get before finding positions on the court. for the first game, you and jeonghan are on opposite teams, so he takes it easy, jogging around and making simple plays to get a feel for his team's rhythm. it's so laid back that it annoys you, the one who knows what he's capable of. respect you and your team enough to put in effort? he gives you a cocky grin. sure. when his team huddles during the break, he tells them his plan and your best friend whistles lowly. "I mean...they did ask for it," they say with a shrug. the second game immediately puts him on his team's good side and your team's bad side. maybe he'll make a better impression off the court.
JOSHUA: posted in part 1!
JIHOON: they know that he's famous, but man, are all celebrities this effortlessly cool or is it just him? he's not doing anything in particular, and in fact, he's quite friendly; he made sure to shake everyone's hand with both of his when they introduced themselves, and he said that he's lee jihoon, as if your friends haven't seen his name plastered on billboards across the city. he doesn't talk too much about himself, preferring to sit in the background, but the way his simple t-shirt stretches around his shoulders, the way his pushed back sunglasses act as a headband for messy black hair, the way he puts his arm on the back of your chair and leans in to share a menu...hot, humble, and sweet with an unmistakable aura. you really snagged a good one. and when you ask for the check only to find out that jihoon's already paid for the table? you whirl around and level him with a look, but one of your friends, the one across the table from you, laughs. "dude, I thought you looked suspicious on the way to the bathroom. did you even go?" hot, humble, sweet, rich, and generous. they'll keep an eye out next time to prevent him from paying in the future, though.
SEOKMIN: it takes him a long time to meet your friends, and they're getting antsy. but no matter how much they pester you about seeing the golden retriever boyfriend himself in real life, even jokingly accusing you of hiding him from the world, you can't do anything because he's refusing to meet your friends. it's the reason he gives for not guesting on lee mujin's show...he doesn't feel like he's good enough, and there's so much to unpack in that simple admission. that's why the first meeting inside a newly opened bakery and cafe is entirely accidental. you see the nervousness in his posture as soon as they recognize you and wave. then they turn their gaze to him, and he reaches for your hand, clasping it tightly to his side. "hey guys," you say, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze. "this is seokmin." there's something in the glint in your eyes that reminds them to play nice. luckily, this is the icebreaker needed to get him comfortable with a planned second meeting that goes so much better. he doesn't wander from your side, but he fully participates in the conversation, and your friends conclude that you're right. they do need sunglasses to look at his mega-watt smile.
SEUNGKWAN: he's professor boo of kpop for a reason; he's got room in his pretty head for all sorts of niche information, so of course, he's been filing away facts about your friends over time. when he actually meets them, he ends up bringing the perfect gift. "oh wow," your friend says, gaping at the bag he handed over. "I've actually been eying this for a while but didn't tell anyone! how did you know?" he shrugs as he kicks off his shoes at the door. "it just seemed like it would suit you," he says easily. the world can't sing his praises enough. there's a reason why so many people love him and invite him everywhere. he uses the information he's collected to perfectly navigate conversations: what topics make people light up and lean forward in interest? what topics should he avoid to prevent awkward silences? deep down, he feels like he has to make a good impression because you chose him and he wants to prove to everyone that he deserves you, even though no one is thinking that in the slightest. (in your eyes, it's him that deserves more than the world can give him.)

Part 2: Home Again
𖧹Satoru Gojo x fem!reader
𖧹Fluff
𖧹0.8k
𖧹Masterlist
𖧹Part 1
The house hadn’t changed much.
The same white picket fence with the stubborn gate that would always get stuck if it was closed to hard. The old oak tree in the front yard still stood tall, its branches stretching wide like arms welcoming you home. Even the worn front steps still creaked under your feet as you climbed them.
Home.
It felt strange. Familiar… yet distant.
You hesitated, your keys clutched tightly in your hand. The chipped paint on the front door still bore faint scratches from when you and Satoru carved your initials there one long-forgotten summer. You traced the faded marks with your fingertips, heart aching with memories you couldn’t quite push away.
With a deep breath, you unlocked the door and stepped inside.
The air smelled faintly of cedar and lavender, just like your mother used to keep it. Sunlight streamed through the sheer curtains, casting golden streaks across the old wooden floors.
Everything looked exactly how you remembered.
Exactly how you’d left it.
The next few days passed in a quiet blur of unpacking and cleaning. You dusted the shelves in your bedroom, rearranged the furniture, and sorted through boxes of memories you weren’t ready to face.
But no matter how much you tried to stay busy, the silence was deafening.
Satoru.
His name lingered in your mind like a familiar melody. It had been years since you’d last seen him—since you left.
You wondered if he still lived here… if he ever thought about you, the way you couldn’t seem to stop thinking about him.
But thinking about him now was pointless. You were only back for six months. Temporary. Just long enough to help your parents settle their affairs and run the old bookstore before moving on.
That was the plan.
Besides, he had probably moved on, met a nice girl and settled down. Right?
It was three days later when you finally decided to take a walk around the town that held so many of the best memories.
The soft afternoon breeze tugged at your jacket as you wandered through the familiar streets. Everything looked the same—the coffee shop on Main, the flower shop with the faded sign, the small park with the rusting swings.
Your steps carried you without thought, drawn by the familiar rhythm of the place you’d once called home. You walked slowly, your fingers brushing against the brick walls and wrought-iron fences, memories surfacing with every familiar sight.
You passed the old bakery where you and Satoru used to split pastries after school, and the corner where he once waited for you every morning, hands shoved in his coat pockets, pretending he wasn’t watching the street for your arrival.
Your heart clenched.
Everything felt frozen in time—everything except you.
You paused by the park, watching the gentle sway of the swings in the breeze. The sight tugged at something deep inside you, bringing back the sound of laughter and stolen moments from a lifetime ago.
You could still hear his voice—teasing, soft, familiar.
You shook your head, trying to push the memories away. This was why you’d stayed away for so long. The past still clung to every street, every corner, every breath of wind that swept through this quiet little town.
And he was still there. Everywhere.
You could see him standing on the corner where your family’s bookstore sat. You could see him leaning against the wall outside the theater as he waited for you to pick a snack, dramatically huffing and sighing as you tried to decide if you wanted Skittles or Sour Patch Kids this time.
It was easy to imagine him walking next to you as you approached the park where the two of you had some many firsts. It was the place you first met, the place you had your first kiss, the place he asked you to be his girlfriend and kissed you for real.
You turned away quickly, making your way back toward the quiet comfort of your childhood home. The sun was beginning to set, painting the sky in soft hues of pink and orange, casting long shadows across the familiar streets.
Maybe tomorrow, you’d visit the bookstore—your parents’ legacy, your second home.
Maybe tomorrow, you’d finally stop running from the past.

PUNISHABLE—soldier boy x catholic boy part 2
find part one here ⤷ part numero uno
warnings; religious guilt and themes, power dynamics, somnophilia, degradation and humiliation kink, jerking off to underwear (i think my boy has a fetish for that, ben lock your underwear drawer), handjobs, jerking each other off, blowjobs, (not lasting even a minute because first time blowjob, ben being a little shit about it) wc: 5.5k
“you’re such a fucking perv,” benjamin continued, his tone light, almost conversational, as though discussing the weather. “jerking off into my underwear like some desperate little bitch. did you think i wouldn’t notice?” he pressed harder, his hand gripping you through the fabric, and you couldn’t hold back the quiet whimper that escaped your lips.
“liar,” he sing-songs, his tone dripping with regalement. “you act like such a good little saint, all those prayers, all that piety—s’just a cover for the filthy little pervert hiding underneath.”
after that night, you couldn’t look at benjamin the same way. the memory of his hands on you, his voice low and coaxing, lingered like a brand burned into your skin. it churned in your gut, twisting and gnawing until it felt like your insides were corroding, eaten away by the acid of shame. each time you saw him—his easy smirk, the casual way he draped himself over the furniture, the faint smell of him that hung in the air—you felt your stomach turn, the shame rising thick and bitter in your throat.
you couldn’t stay in the room. the air felt too close, too full of him, his presence pressing against you like a weight you couldn’t bear. so you fled. the small catholic temple on campus became your refuge, though it offered no comfort. it was little more than a cramped chapel tucked into an old building, the stained glass faded and chipped, the pews scarred with years of scratches and carvings. the faint smell of candle wax and incense clung to the air, mingling with the scent of mildew from the damp stone walls. the temple became a tomb, and you were the corpse, rotting from the inside out.
you spent hours there, more time than you did in class or the dorm. you’d sit in the shadow of the crucifix, its weathered wood warped and splintering, staring up at the lifeless eyes of Christ as if begging him to look back. the silence was oppressive, heavy and suffocating, but it felt right—like the weight of your sin, tangible and inescapable. you sat for hours in the shadow of his body, staring at the weathered wood, splintering and warped, as if waiting for him to come alive and condemn you. his hands were outstretched, pierced and bleeding, his face frozen in agony. you imagined he looked at you with that same pain, that same accusation, and it broke something inside you.
you tried to pray, the rosary beads dug into your palms, leaving angry red marks that faded too quickly to feel like real penance. you clutched them tighter, grinding the crucifix into your skin until it almost bled, muttering the Act of Contrition until the words blurred together, but the guilt remained, festering like an open wound.
o my God, i am heartily sorry for having offended Thee... the words came out cracked and hollow, meaningless, swallowed up by the suffocating silence of the chapel. …because i dread the loss of heaven, and the pains of hell... but it was too late for heaven. ...but most of all because they offend Thee, my God...
the guilt felt like chains around your chest, tightening with every syllable, dragging you down into an abyss you could never climb out of. …who art all good and deserving of all my love. You didn’t deserve his love. you didn’t deserve anything.
you took to kneeling on the cold stone floor, refusing the comfort of the pews. the sharp bite of the stone against your knees felt like punishment, the only tangible way to feel the weight of your sins. sometimes you stayed there until your legs went numb, until the pain turned into a dull ache and then into nothingness. other times, you pressed your forehead to the ground, curling into yourself like a body at a wake, wishing the earth would swallow you whole.
your whispered prayers became desperate, broken things, half-choked with sobs you tried to silence. “i’m sorry,” you’d mutter, over and over, your voice cracking. “God, i’m so sorry. please, forgive me.” but no forgiveness came. only silence.
at night, you dreamt of fire. the memory of benjamin played on an endless loop in your mind: his hands gripping you, his voice low and coaxing, the heat of his breath against your skin. it burned you from the inside out, an inferno you couldn’t escape. when you closed your eyes, you could still see the smirk on his face, the way his gaze had locked onto yours in the mirror. “such a pretty mess.” the words echoed in your skull, a taunt, a curse, a brand seared into your very soul. you felt it sinking into your flesh, carving itself into your bones. you’d wake up gasping, clawing at your skin, trying to scrape it away. but it was always there, a stain you couldn’t wash off.
you thought about confession, about spilling your sins to the priest behind the screen. but the idea of speaking the truth aloud, of hearing it in your own voice, made your stomach churn. The words “i touched myself, i wanted him, i wanted it” felt too filthy to utter, even in the privacy of the confessional. so you stayed silent.
the darkness festered inside you, growing like a sickness. you began to wonder if this was your punishment—not the fires of hell, but this slow, quiet decay. a part of you hoped it was, because it meant God was still watching, still listening, even if only to damn you.
and yet, no matter how much you prayed, no matter how deeply you knelt, the memory of benjamin lingered. his touch, his voice, his scent—they wrapped around you like chains, dragging you down. you were no longer yourself. you were a sinner, a vessel for guilt and shame, rotting in the shadow of the cross.
each day bled into the next, the hours merging into a haze of suffocating monotony. time slipped through your fingers like sand, gritty and coarse, leaving only the weight of your sins behind. the chapel became your entire world, a dim, crumbling sanctuary where you sought absolution and found only torment. you avoided your dorm, your classes, even the dining hall—anywhere benjamin might be. the thought of facing him, of seeing his smirk twist into something cruel or indifferent, made your chest seize.
still, he haunted you.
he was in every shadow, every flicker of light that danced on the stone walls. his voice lingered in the back of your mind, a low, mocking drawl that you couldn’t silence no matter how many Hail Marys you whispered. and the worst part? it wasn’t just shame you felt.
in the deepest recesses of your mind, where the guilt couldn’t reach, a darker truth festered. you wanted him. you still wanted him. the memory of his hands on you, the sound of his breath in your ear, the warmth of his body pressed close—it didn’t just torment you; it consumed you. late at night, you found yourself replaying it all in your mind, over and over. your body betrayed you in the quiet, a burning need rising up that you couldn’t suppress no matter how tightly you clutched the rosary, no matter how fervently you prayed for absolution.
the shame was unbearable, searing hot and cloyingly thick, but it wasn’t enough to stop the betrayal of your own body. your cock ached, straining against the fabric of your sweatpants, a constant reminder of your weakness. you rolled onto your side in your bed, clenching your fists, digging your nails into your palms until they left crescent-shaped marks. you whispered prayers under your breath, begging for the ache to subside, for your body to stop betraying you. but it didn’t.
it never did.
and then there was benjamin, sleeping across the room. the rise and fall of his chest, slow and steady, filled the small space with a rhythmic calm that only made your torment worse. the soft sighs he gave in his sleep, the way his hair fell across his forehead, the way his lips parted slightly as he breathed—it was maddening. you hated him for being so effortlessly beautiful, for existing in a way that made it impossible for you to look away.
your hand found its way to your cock before you could stop it, the need too overwhelming to resist. you pressed your face into the pillow, biting down hard to stifle the shameful sounds threatening to spill from your throat. your other hand clutched the rosary still tangled around your wrist, the beads biting into your skin as you stroked yourself, slow and deliberate, trying to stay quiet.
your eyes stayed fixed on him, on the faint glow of moonlight that traced the curve of his jaw, the soft shadows that played across his face. each breath he took seemed louder than the last, each shift of his body under the covers like a whisper meant only for you.
it was wrong. it was so fucking wrong. but you didn’t stop. you couldn’t stop. the crucifix above your bed seemed to watch, its lifeless eyes boring into you as if condemning every shudder, every gasp, every sinful thought. you imagined Christ’s agony, his blood dripping from the crown of thorns, his body nailed to the cross for your sins—and here you were, defiling his sacrifice with every stroke, every filthy thought. it should have stopped you. it should have made you fall to your knees in repentance. but instead, it only made the guilt more unbearable, the shame more suffocating, until the pressure inside you broke. your lips moved in silent prayer even as your strokes quickened, the contradiction tearing you apart. "forgive me, Father," you whispered, your voice choked and broken. but even as you begged for absolution, your body craved release.
your gaze flicked to benjamin. he had shifted in his sleep, one arm flung above his head, his shirt riding up to reveal a sliver of skin. the sight made your mouth go dry, your hips bucking into your fist as a low, shuddering moan escaped you. you imagined his hand replacing yours, his voice a low, mocking drawl coaxing you to give in. the thought alone sent a jolt of pleasure through you, your breaths coming faster, more desperate. “ben,” you whispered, the name slipping past your lips before you could stop it. the sound felt sacrilegious, an invocation of something dark and forbidden.
the beads of the rosary dug deeper into your wrist, the pain grounding you even as your strokes grew frantic. pre-cum slicked your fingers, the wet sound obscene in the silence. the shame was suffocating, a thick, rancid weight that settled in your chest, but you couldn’t stop. your gaze stayed fixed on him, on the soft curve of his jaw, the soft fluttering of his lashes. the ache inside you swelled, sharp and consuming, until it was too much to bear. your body convulsed, thick spurts of cum spilling over your hand, your hips jerking against the mattress as you bit down hard on your pillow to muffle your cries.
the shame was instant and suffocating, crashing down on you like a wave. you froze, your body trembling as the reality of what you’d done settled over you like a shroud. benjamin stirred, a soft murmur escaping his lips as he shifted again, his face relaxing back into the peaceful stillness of sleep. you watched him, your heart pounding in your chest, and the weight of your sin crushed you.
you wiped your hand on the sheets, bile rising in your throat as the reality of what you’d done sank in. you whispered a broken prayer, the words cracking in your throat, and vowed never to give in again. but deep down, you knew the truth. you would.
the shame should have stopped you. it should have dragged you to your knees, should have compelled you to throw open the chapel doors and confess everything—every sinful thought, every wretched desire, every stroke of your hand that mocked the sanctity of your faith. and yet it didn’t.
the guilt had only festered, growing into something dark and rotten that you couldn’t contain. and now, hidden beneath your blankets in the suffocating quiet of your dorm, it had led you to this. benjamin’s underwear was clutched in your trembling hand. you’d stolen it—there was no other word for it—plucked it from his laundry basket earlier that day when the dorm was empty, your chest pounding with adrenaline and revulsion. you had told yourself you wouldn’t do anything, that you just wanted to hold it, to feel the weight of him, the scent of him.
but now, here you were, your cock throbbing in your palm, slick with pre-cum as you wrapped the soft fabric around yourself. it was warm from your grip, but not nearly as warm as you imagined it would be if benjamin were still wearing it. the thought sent a shiver through you, your hand tightening as you began to stroke yourself again, this time slower, more deliberate. the waistband of the underwear brushed against the sensitive head of your cock, and you bit down on your lip to stifle a groan.
in your mind, benjamin wasn’t asleep in his bed across the room. he was here, standing over you, wearing nothing but the underwear now wrapped around your cock. you imagined the way it would cling to him, the fabric stretched taut over his hips, his cock outlined against it. you imagined the heat of him, the weight of him pressing against your palm as you slid your hand beneath the waistband, your fingers brushing against his skin.
you imagined him smirking down at you, his voice low and mocking. "you couldn’t help yourself, could you?" he’d say, his tone dripping with condescension. "you’re so fucking desperate for me." your hips bucked at the thought, the motion jerking the fabric tighter around your cock. the shame clawed at you, hot and suffocating, but it only made the pleasure more acute, more overwhelming.
you closed your eyes, the image of benjamin vivid behind your eyelids. you imagined his cock hard against the fabric, slick with his own pre-cum, mixing with yours. you imagined the way he’d groan, low and guttural, as your cum spilled over the fabric, soaking it, staining it. your hand moved faster, the friction of the fabric almost too much, almost unbearable. the scent of him clung to your skin, faint but intoxicating, filling your lungs with every breath. it was wrong—God, it was so wrong—but you couldn’t stop.
"ah—fuck, ben," you whispered again, the word slipping out unbidden, dripping with need and desperation. the sound of his name on your lips sent you over the edge, your body convulsing as your cum spilled over the stolen underwear, thick and hot and endless. for a moment, you couldn’t move. the shame was immediate, cold and biting, sinking into your chest like a blade. the crucifix on the wall seemed to loom closer, its lifeless eyes staring down at you in silent condemnation.
you looked at the mess in your hand, at the fabric now stained with your sin, and bile rose in your throat. you felt filthy, wretched, unworthy of the air you breathed. but even as the shame suffocated you, even as the bile threatened to spill, a darker thought twisted its way into your mind. you imagined slipping the underwear back into benjamin’s laundry basket, unwashed, unclean. you imagined him putting it on, feeling the dampness against his skin, not knowing—never knowing—that it wasn’t his sweat, but yours.
the morning light filtered through the blinds, casting golden streaks across the room. you pretended to sleep, curled beneath your blanket as benjamin stirred in the bed across from you. your body felt heavy with the lingering weight of guilt, your stomach churning as the events of the night before replayed in vivid, shameful detail.
you could hear him moving around—footsteps padding softly across the room, the faint rustle of his laundry basket as he dug through it. your pulse quickened, a sick sort of dread rising in your chest as you realized what he was doing. you squeezed your eyes shut, your breathing shallow and uneven, your entire body tensed as you waited for the inevitable moment when he would find it. the underwear, his underwear. covered in your mess.
the sound of fabric being shifted stopped abruptly, and for a moment, there was silence. your heart pounded in your ears, so loud you were sure he could hear it, but you didn’t dare move. “fucking hell,” he muttered under his breath, and your stomach twisted into knots.
you risked the smallest glance, peeking through your lashes just in time to see him holding the underwear up, his brow furrowed as he inspected the faint, crusted stains on the fabric. your breath hitched, panic clawing at your throat. he knows, you thought, the words ringing like a death knell in your mind. but then he shrugged, tossing the underwear onto his bed. “guess it’s just detergent or something,” he said to himself, his voice casual, unconcerned.
relief flooded through you, hot and dizzying, but it was short-lived. because then, to your absolute horror, he began to undress. you turned your face back into the pillow, your entire body trembling as you tried to feign sleep. but no amount of self-control could stop the way your breath quickened, the way your cock stirred traitorously beneath the blanket as you listened to the soft rustle of his shirt being pulled over his head, the faint thud of his sweats hitting the floor.
and then, the sound of him slipping on the underwear.
you couldn’t see him, but you didn’t need to. the image was burned into your mind: benjamin, his toned body half-dressed, the stolen underwear hugging his hips, clinging to him. you imagined the fabric pressing against his cock, damp and sticky with your dried release. “shit,” he muttered suddenly, a note of irritation in his voice.
and then, benjamin turned. you quickly shut your eyes, feigning sleep as your heart hammered in your chest. the sound of his footsteps grew louder, closer, until they stopped right beside your bed. “you awake, perv?” his voice was low, teasing, but there was an edge to it that sent a shiver down your spine.
you didn’t move, didn’t so much as twitch, praying he’d lose interest and go away. but instead, benjamin chuckled softly, the sound vibrating through the quiet room like a taunt. “yeah, that’s what i thought.” you felt the blanket shift, a slight tug as he pulled it down just enough to reveal your growing bulge. the cool air hit you, making your cock twitch beneath the thin fabric of your sweats, and you cursed yourself silently. “look at this,” benjamin murmured, his tone dripping with amusement. his palm pressed harder, rubbing against you through the fabric. you bit down on the inside of your cheek, struggling to suppress the gasp threatening to escape.
“can’t even keep it down in your sleep,” he said, palming you through the fabric. “what were you dreaming about, huh? was it me?” you wanted to die. you wanted to disappear, to sink into the mattress and never resurface. your hips shifted involuntarily, just slightly, into his touch. it was instinct, pure and pathetic, and you hated yourself for it. and oh, benjamin didn’t miss it. “oh, you like that, don’t you?” his fingers curled around the outline of your cock, stroking slowly, teasingly, as if to prove his point. the friction of your sweats and the heat of his hand made your entire body tense, a shudder running down your spine.
“bet you’d like it even more if i used my mouth,” he mused, his voice laced with cruel amusement. “or maybe my hand. would that make you feel better, freak?” your breaths came faster, shallow and uneven, as his hand moved with deliberate, maddening slowness. you could feel the heat of his palm, the friction of your sweats against your sensitive skin, and it was driving you insane. “you’re such a fucking perv,” benjamin continued, his tone light, almost conversational, as though discussing the weather. “jerking off into my underwear like some desperate little bitch. did you think i wouldn’t notice?” he pressed harder, his hand gripping you through the fabric, and you couldn’t hold back the quiet whimper that escaped your lips.
benjamin froze, his smirk audible even before you opened your eyes. “oh,” he said, dragging the word out, his voice dripping with mockery. “so you are awake.” you couldn’t help it; your eyes cracked open, just barely, and you met his gaze. his green eyes were bright with amusement, his smirk sharp and predatory. “figures,” he said, his voice soft and cutting. “couldn’t even keep up the act, could you?” before you could think of a response—or even move—benjamin’s hand moved again, his strokes deliberate, slow enough to make you squirm. you hated him, hated yourself, hated the unbearable heat pooling low in your stomach, but most of all, you hated that you didn’t want him to stop.
and then, to your shock and mounting arousal, he slipped his fingers beneath the waistband of your sweats, his touch hot and unforgiving against your skin. benjamin’s smirk only widened as his fingers curled around your bare cock, stroking with a firm, teasing grip that made your breath hitch. he watched your face, his green eyes sharp with predatory amusement as he took in every twitch of your features, every shudder of your chest. “look at you,” he murmured, his voice low and taunting. “so fucking hard for me. bet you’ve been dreaming about this for weeks, haven’t you? jerking off into my underwear, imagining my mouth on your cock.”
the words sent a fresh wave of shame crashing over you, burning hot and stifling in your chest. the guilt churned, twisting your stomach into knots even as your hips bucked into his hand, completely betraying you. you felt trapped between the two warring parts of yourself—the part that wanted to resist, to run, and the part that wanted nothing more than to give in, to let him ruin you completely. “you know what your problem is?” ben said, his grip tightening just enough to make your vision blur. “you’ve been holding back, keeping all that tension bottled up. you’re so fucking repressed it’s almost sad.”
your throat tightened at the accusation, the words hitting a nerve you didn’t even realize was raw. he wasn’t wrong. every day spent in the chapel, every whispered prayer for forgiveness, every shame-fueled confession—it had all built into this. the weight of your own guilt loomed heavy over you, wrapping around your chest like a vice even as benjamin’s touch ignited a fire deep in your core. “you probably think this is a sin, don’t you?” he whispered, leaning in close enough that his breath was hot against your ear. “some terrible, shameful thing. but you don’t look very sorry to me.”
his voice was like a devil on your shoulder, coaxing you further into the abyss. your lips parted, a faint, broken sound escaping as his hand moved faster, slick with precum now, the obscene sounds of his strokes filling the air. “you’re not gonna pray your way out of this one, baby,” benjamin murmured, his tone mockingly sweet. “but don’t worry—i’ll take care of you. all you have to do is let me.” before you could process what was happening, he dropped to his knees, his smirk softening into something almost reverent as he looked up at you. the sight was enough to steal your breath—benjamin, kneeling between your legs, his hands on your thighs as he tugged your sweats down just enough to free your cock completely.
“fuck,” he muttered, his eyes darkening as he took you in. “look at you. so hard, so desperate. you’re fucking dripping, sweetheart.” you wanted to deny it, to shrink away from his words, but the evidence was undeniable. precum beaded at the tip, glistening in the soft morning light. benjamin’s thumb swiped over it, smearing it down the length of your cock, and you couldn’t hold back the broken sound that escaped your throat. he gripped your cock at the base, his hand firm and unyielding as he guided it toward his lips.
the first touch of his mouth was almost too much. his tongue flicked out, teasing the tip, before he took you in slowly, inch by maddening inch. the heat of his mouth was overwhelming, soft and wet and perfect, and your hands clenched the sheets in a futile attempt to ground yourself. “ben—” you choked out, your voice cracking as your head fell back against the pillow.
he hummed around you, the vibration sending sparks of pleasure shooting through your body. his eyes flicked up to meet yours, sharp and teasing, as he took you deeper, his throat constricting around you in a way that made your vision blur. “relax,” he murmured, pulling back just enough to speak. his lips were slick and red, glistening with saliva and precum. “let me take care of you, sweetheart. just let go.”
you wanted to. God, you wanted to. guilt clawed at your chest, sharp and suffocating, as your mind flickered with memories of whispered sermons and fire-and-brimstone warnings. this was wrong. every touch, every flick of his tongue, every obscene sound he made was a nail in the coffin of your soul. but benjamin’s mouth was so hot, so wet, and his hands gripped your hips with a strength that kept you grounded, kept you present. “you’re thinking too much,” benjamin said, his voice low and commanding. “stop fighting it. just let me make you feel good.”
he didn’t give you a chance to argue, his mouth enveloping you again with a renewed determination. his hands gripped your thighs, holding you in place as he worked you over, his pace slow and deliberate, savoring every moment. you barely lasted a minute. the pressure built too quickly, the heat coiling tight in your stomach and shooting down your spine. your breaths came faster, shallow and desperate, and you tried to warn him, tried to pull away, but he wouldn’t let you.
“don’t you dare,” he murmured, his voice muffled around you. “i want it. cum for me.” the command was your undoing. with a choked cry, you shattered, your hips jerking as you spilled into his mouth. stars burst behind your eyes, your entire body trembling as the release hit you like a tidal wave. benjamin didn’t pull back, didn’t flinch. he took everything you gave him, his throat working to swallow it down, his hands steady on your thighs as he held you through the aftershocks.
when he finally pulled away, his lips were swollen, his smirk impossibly smug as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. “damn,” he said, his tone full of mockery and amusement. “came so fast i barely got started. guess all that religious repression really does a number on you, huh?” you buried your face in your hands, your cheeks burning as fresh waves of shame crashed over you. But benjamin wasn’t done.
benjamin didn’t hesitate, tugging his sweats down in one smooth motion. the sight hit you like a punch to the gut. he was hard—thick, flushed, and straining against the fabric of the underwear you’d stolen just last night. your stomach churned when you noticed the faint, crusted stain near the waistband, the humiliating evidence of your lack of control.
“unbelievable,” benjamin said, his lips curling in disgusted amusement as he ran a hand over the bulge. “you actually came in my underwear.” he let out a short, derisive laugh, holding the elastic band out so you could see the stain more clearly. “for this?” He shook his head, the smirk tugging at his lips making your stomach flip. heat rose to your face, shame and arousal twisting together into a nauseating cocktail. you tried to look away, but your body betrayed you again, your cock twitching faintly despite the raw, overstimulated ache still pulsing through you.
“oh, no,” ben said, his voice dropping into a dangerous, low timbre. “don’t you dare act embarrassed now. not after everything.” His green eyes locked onto yours, sharp and unyielding. “you’re into this, aren’t you?” you shook your head weakly, your voice caught in your throat, but benjamin wasn’t buying it. “liar,” he sing-songs, his tone dripping with regalement. “you act like such a good little saint, all those prayers, all that piety—s’just a cover for the filthy little pervert hiding underneath.” before you could muster a response, Benjamin grabbed your sweats and yanked them the rest of the way down, leaving you completely bare beneath him. his gaze swept over you, predatory and hungry, and your stomach flipped at the way his lips curled into a smirk. “you’re hard again,” he pointed out, his voice thick with amusement. “didn’t even give yourself a minute to recover, huh? you really are desperate.”
benjamin stepped back just enough to hook his thumbs into the waistband of the said stolen (and stained) underwear, dragging them down his legs with an exaggerated slowness that had your pulse hammering in your ears. when his cock sprang free, flushed and leaking, your breath caught. “Jesus Christ,” you muttered without thinking, the words slipping out before you could stop them.
“close,” benjamin quipped, his grin widening into something wicked. “but i don’t think He’s gonna save you now.” he wrapped a hand around himself, his thumb swiping over the head to gather the bead of precum there. his gaze flicked to you, his smirk deepening when he saw the way your eyes lingered.
“guess i can’t blame you for wanting me so bad,” he said, his tone almost mocking. “look at what you’ve done to me.” he gestured vaguely to his cock, his hand stroking slowly, deliberately, as if to taunt you further. the heat of his body was overwhelming as he climbed onto the bed, his knees pressing into the mattress on either side of your thighs. the heat of his body was overwhelming, his cock hovering just above yours, so close you could feel the faint pulse of it. the sight of him straddling you, his lips twisted into that infuriating smirk, was enough to make your breath hitch.
“i should make you clean up your mess,” he murmured, his voice low and teasing, sending a shiver down your spine. “wouldn’t that be fair?” you swallowed hard, unable to respond. your mouth was dry, your mind spinning, every nerve in your body alight with tension. “but,” he continued, leaning down until his face was only inches from yours, “i think i’ve got a better idea.”
before you could process what was happening, benjamin reached down, his hand wrapping around your cock again. his grip was firm and confident, his thumb brushing over the sensitive head in a way that made your hips jerk involuntarily. then, to your absolute shock, he shifted, pressing his cock against yours. the heat of him, the weight of him—thick and pulsing beside you—sent a bolt of arousal shooting through you so intense it made your vision blur. benjamin hummed, clearly enjoying your reaction, as he wrapped his hand around both of you, his fingers curling tightly to hold you together.
“fuck,” he hissed through gritted teeth, his voice low and strained as he began to move. his hand stroked the length of both of you in a slow, maddening rhythm, the friction electric. the slick mix of precum made the slide effortless, each stroke sending sparks of pleasure shooting through your body.
your head fell back against the pillow, a choked sound escaping your throat as the pleasure built quickly, overwhelming you. benjamin’s gaze stayed locked on your face, his lips curling into a satisfied smirk as he took in every twitch of your features, every broken gasp that slipped past your lips. “look at you,” he murmured, his tone thick with mockery. “so fucking desperate. you’re not even trying to hold back, are you? just letting me ruin you completely.
you tried to shake your head, to deny it, but the words caught in your throat, tangled up in a mess of shame and arousal. your hips bucked helplessly into his hand, chasing the friction despite the raw ache of overstimulation. “s’not true,” you choked out, your voice weak and trembling.
ben laughed, low and derisive. “no? then why are you fucking into my hand like a goddamn slut?” his words cut deep, but the pleasure was overwhelming, drowning out everything else. the tension coiled tight in your stomach, building faster than you could control. benjamin’s grip tightened, his strokes growing firmer, rougher, as if he could sense how close you were. “pathetic,” benjamin said, his voice a low, teasing growl. “you’re gonna cum already, aren’t you? can feel itfeel how close you are.” he leaned in, his breath hot against your ear. “do it. make a fucking mess. show me how much you need this.”
his words pushed you over the edge. with a low groan, your body tensed, your release hitting you like a tidal wave. hot, sticky ropes spilled across your stomach and benjamin’s hand, the sensation so intense it left you trembling beneath him.
but he didn’t stop, his hand stroking both of you through the aftershocks, drawing out every last ounce of your pleasure. his own breathing grew heavier, his pace quickening as he chased his own release. “fuck,” he muttered, his voice tight as his hips jerked forward. a moment later, he came, his cum mixing with yours in a sticky mess across your stomach and his hand.
for a long moment, the only sound in the room was the sound of your ragged breathing. benjamin sat back slightly, his chest heaving as he looked down at the mess between you. “well,” he said, his voice laced with amusement. “guess you weren’t the only one who couldn’t hold back.” you groaned, your cheeks burning as you turned your face away, but benjamin only laughed, leaning down to press a kiss to your jaw. “don’t worry,” he murmured. “i think it’s cute.”

What a Lovely Way to Burn~
La Squadra x femme fatale!reader
MDNI
Content: Poly, Mother used as a nickname for reader, slight mommy kink for Melone, suggestive, casual relationships, implied sexual content, canon-typical violence
Intro
Part 1:
-relationships with each member-
“When you put your arms around me
I get a Fever that’s so hard to bear”
They’re your only companions at this point. The only human connection you get is through them, hence why you’re pretty physically affectionate with them. The only hands ever allowed to touch you are the ones that belong to your assassin co-workers.
-Formaggio calls you “Lil Mama”, a nod to his stand ability and your nickname as a founding member of the team. And he thinks he’s funny. “I said I’d take care of it, so relaaaax lil Mama~”
So cheeky…he purposely uses it when you’re in a bad mood too, just to irritate you further. He does actually respect you, but he’s always got a laid back and comfortable demeanor around you. You guys aren’t in any sort of official romantic relationship, but also a bit too cozy to be friends. You’re comfortable with him touching you, his lap is the perfect size for you and you’re happy to joke around with him since there is a level of trust between you. Sometimes when you get cold, instead of asking for a jacket you’ll let Formaggio very gently prick you with his stand and slip you into his shirt pocket instead. You both think it’s funny.
Sometimes you’ll stay at his place, or him at yours. He’s the guy you most frequently borrow clothes from, since he has the most normal wardrobe out of the group, and you like how large and casual most of his shirts are.
He’s one of the guys you’re happier to go out with, since beyond his sadism in his private life, he’s social and easy to get along with, and doesn’t usually cause trouble in public like some of the other boys might.
-Illuso uses “Mom”, and occasionally “Big mama” when he wants to be playful with you. He just rubs you the wrong way, he feels even cockier than the others, and no matter how often you humble or correct him he never learns and always keeps that smug smirk on his face. How often do you have to threaten to light his nice hair on fire before he learns to LISTEN?!
You know he wants your attention. Of course you’re part of the same team so you’d never go so far as to actually wish for any permanent harm to befall him (unless he was really, REALLY asking for it), but he’s at the bottom of the list of favorite co-workers. He’s the only member of the team strictly not permitted to touch you. You do not find him pleasant or enjoyable company at all, and Risotto knows to not send the two of you on missions alone, lest you finally snap and stick your flamethrower down Illuso’s throat. Though sometimes it’s a bit of a fun game to deny him the pleasure of a reaction. His turn to get annoyed when you just dismiss him instead of getting angry.
You’re beginning to realize he likes any type of attention, no matter if it’s positive or negative.
-Prosciutto: Considering how he often he uses “mammoni” as an insult, it’s not surprising he doesn’t use a variation of “Mother” as a nickname for you. He’d look like a Hypocrite and he would NEVER hear the end of it. He has a reputation as one of the meaner members of the team, so when he does decide to use it, it’ll be with a negative connotation. He tries to rein it in around you, but you’re not immune to his snarky comments and general rudeness. He likes when you’re tougher on some of the more unruly members of the team, like Melone and Ghiaccio…but he wishes you’d keep them all on a tighter leash. He considers himself responsible for teaching Pesci, so you need to stay on top of all the more experienced members. You’re too nice to the ones that don’t directly annoy you, even when they make fools of themselves. You in turn don’t know where he gets off telling you how to lead as second-in-command.
The two of you have a sort of rivalry. It might even be subconscious, but you think he believes deep down that HE should be the second-in-command, and not you. You do enjoy a good debate with him, he’s cute when he’s all pissed off at you, trying to correct your leadership style or whatever you’ve done that upset him this time. Often these arguments end in angry make out sessions, his grumbling still audible even while he’s definitely enjoying your lips passionately pressed against his.
He shuts up for a minute afterwards, suddenly at a loss for words…but he’ll inevitably complain about the lipstick stains you left all over him.
There always seems to be Some Sort of tension between the two of you.
He’s too rough, you don’t love when he touches you since he holds you too tight or comes off way too aggressive when he tries to invite you on a date.
You will be physically affectionate with him, but only when you’re either upset with your more preferred partners, or they’re not there at the moment.
He’s frustrating to deal with, so you’d never tell him how comfortable he is to snuggle with. He’s a bit tense, but his chest is almost always exposed, and super fun to rest your head against.
-Pesci: Of course you’re nicer to Pesci, he’s got a much more tolerable personality than the rest of La Squadra. Calls you “Mama L/n” like it’s actually a title, with time you’re able to convince him he has permission to use your first name instead. As much as you don’t love Prosciutto’s “tough love”, you know he has a point about how Pesci needs to toughen up to keep up with the rest of La Squadra.
But, well…a part of you likes that he’s the only one who doesn’t just kill without hesitation when someone superior snapped their fingers.
Though he’s a little Too timid most of the time for you to have fun with him. But you know he can get serious when a scenario calls for it.
Pesci has a lot of respect for you, as you’re a senior member of the team, and your tough but fair personality when you dealt with him.
Of course the others notice you’re kinder to Pesci than them, but they’d really be stupid if they didn’t see you just found his personality easier to get along with.
You often went on missions with Prosciutto and Pesci, not with the intent to protect the younger brother from his much too harsh older brother; you know Pesci is much tougher than even he knows. You actually go along to supervise the elder brother and that indiscriminately destructive stand.
Pesci is free to touch you, but he pretty much never initiates. It doesn’t help that someone seems to have told him you’re only being nice to him as a joke. What an asshole…you’re guessing it’s Illuso or Melone being jealous but it would be much more productive to just try and communicate with Pesci than beating up whoever’s trying to start some drama.
-Melone: GOD Melone gets on your nerves, of course he’s weird about you. It doesn’t matter how often you kick his ass or scream at him either because he LIKES it.
You still remember the first time he begged you to let him use his stand on you, he said something weird about how your “delectable, ideal assets” made you a suitable Mother for Babyface-
But he said it in front of the rest of La Squadra and [Everyone Disliked That] and you thought for sure after that verbal (and maybe physical if you’re Prosciutto and Ghiaccio) berating from literally all of his teammates he’d smarten up and control himself around you but…
You’re the ONLY woman he gets to be around frequently, AND you don’t run away from him either, so how is he supposed to be normal around you?! And you know he means it in a kinky way when he calls you “Mommy”…but you’ve learned how to use his pathetic behavior to your advantage.
You make great use of him, he completely bends to your will like a desperate simp. Often times he’s the one kneeling in front of you eagerly sliding your heels on your feet or painting your nails and even massaging your shoulders after a long, irritating day. He’ll do whatever you ask, because it means he might get to touch your skin and smell your hair and be close to you. You feel a twinge of disgust at the way he practically drools over you, and his comments about how wonderful your body is while he licks his lips often invite smacks or kicks from you, which only makes him more excited and insistent that you would be a PERFECT mother for a murder machine.
You can handle him though. As irritating and invading as he is, he has never crossed a line where you actually felt the urge to set him on fire. He has this weird fixation on your legs, so only when you’re in an especially good mood or don’t feel like fighting with him you’ll slide your legs over his lap when you’re sitting next to each other on the couch. You let him poke and prod and salivate over you as he pleases until he pisses you off or gets too excited.
-Ghiaccio: You understand him on a deeper level than most of his other teammates try. He’s angry because it’s the only emotion that gets results in his eyes. You get it. Sometimes the only things people pay attention to are yelling and violence.
You won’t catch him calling you any of those “Mother” nicknames, he finds it asinine and disrespectful. (“IF YOU’RE GOING TO REFER TO HER BY A NICKNAME BASED ON HER POSITION AS A SENIOR MEMBER OF THE TEAM AND THE SECOND-IN-COMMAND WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU USE “MOTHER”?! SHE’S AN ASSASSIN NOT A HOUSEWIFE! IF YOU REALLY HAD TO USE A NICKNAME FOR HER USE SOMETHING THAT MAKES SENSE CONTEXTUALLY! I MEAN HOW HARD IS IT TO CALL HER “MA’AM” OR “SIGNORA”?!?”-Ghiaccio.) Everyone kinda tones him out when he starts yelling about it, and you can try talking to him about how you don’t mind the nickname at all and EVENTUALLY the rants will go down in frequency but he will probably always tense with irritation whenever someone calls you “Mother” in any way.
Your stands are opposites of each other. His is a shield of ice. Yours is a weapon of fire. At first there was a lot of doubt over your compatibility on missions, but the two of you are a deadly duo. There’s something truly elegant about how you splay out along the back of his car, scorching to a crisp anyone bold enough to chase the two of you after an assassination.
You get along with him well. He rants, you listen. Your soft voice gently chiding him for overreacting actually calmed him down, much to everyone’s surprise. And if you have a problem, he’ll fix it for you, one way or another. There’s no hiding that he has anger issues, but he makes an active effort to keep himself more under control when you’re around.
You try to be physically affectionate with him, but it’s kinda awkward given how little relationship experience he has, and his general insecurity he feels around you.
He runs cold, he’s lean and sharp, and he cannot sit still for the life of him; whether he’s bouncing his leg or drumming his fingers against something or simply can’t find a comfortable way to sit. As soon as you try to lean up against his side you’re usually met with squirming and trembling, and he is SO tense. When he does try to hold you back, he squeezes too tight and for only very short amounts of time before he huffs and gives up and distances himself from you.
You assume he just really dislikes the physical affection, so you try to back off, since you value your relationship with him.
And that just makes him freak out. You’re not making efforts to snuggle or get close anymore…he worries he’s ruined a good thing, and he has no idea what to do about it.
He would rather die than try to verbally express how he feels to you, even though the embarrassment he’d feel if he found out he was completely misreading your relationship this entire time would kill him anyways.
So for the first time since you know him he tries to initiate some physical affection to try and rekindle whatever you had before. It’s awkward, he looks the complete opposite way from you the whole time because eye contact makes him uncomfortable as he slides his hand along the couch towards yours, clumsily tangling his slim, cold fingers around your much warmer ones. This was a good compromise. Hand holding worked out perfectly for you two, even though he found it So embarrassing to do in front of the others. They won’t tease too much though. Since he can kick most of their asses very easily.
-Risotto Nero: If you were the “Mother” of La Squadra, he was the “Father”. The two of you have known each other the longest; none of the others saw the progression of your relationship since it was from before they joined the team. If there was anyone who would really be referred to by the title of “boyfriend” it would be Nero despite nothing ever being said officially.
The closest thing to your actual lover, you and Risotto share an intimacy that almost came off as a couple that have been married for years: not particularly passionate or romantic, but you have a deep understanding of each other. Similarly to how you can calm down the other members of the team, he is the one who can calm you down. He’s not a fan of PDA (I mean. Just look at him-) but you’re an exception, so as long as you don’t get carried away and try distracting him with kisses in front of the others, you’re free to wrap your arms around his neck or sit on his lap whenever you want (within reason). Don’t expect him to always feel like touching you back though.
You don’t think anything of it anymore since you’re so used to it, but you are kinda a wife to him when you compare how your relationship looks with him than your other on again, off again “boyfriends” of La Squadra.
You’ve spent quite a few nights in his bed, his apartment is always open to you so you’re welcome to come and go as you please. If he comes home and you’re randomly in his bed he won’t be bothered at all, and just scoot you over a bit after he slides off his jacket.
He’s the only member of the team you usually sleep with as of right now. Sure you might kiss and snuggle a few of the others, and maybe you’ve shared some intimacy every once in a while with them, but what you have with Risotto is the most serious. He’ll indulge you occasionally, but honestly you’re just happy to have a companion at night, a familiar figure beside you in the darkness of the bedroom.
The other members have to wonder what it is about Risotto that does it for you. He’s so. Stoic. Maybe you like that lack of emotional intelligence? The truth is you always feel like you have to present yourself in a certain way in front of the others and in public, but Risotto? You can be more vulnerable with him. He never overreacts or judges. He’s a good listener, honestly. And he trusts you with serious tasks and classified information more than anyone else. You don’t let him down, so he’ll support you in turn. You both appreciate the equal costs and benefits nature of your relationship.

#I realize that...my mom has been doing a lot of soul searching#she's still much the same person as always#because change is hard#and staying the same is easy and comfortable#but I think I finally recognize an attempt#I recognize her realizing the way she's treated me my whole life#and while I think she'd deny it all if I ever brought it forward#I think she's come to understand it through her therapy#and probably through little things I say here and there about myself that are indicative of childhood trauma#I mean#she's even more open to the idea that my brother and I are both mentally ill and neurodivergent#the question isn't though whether I forgive her#because I'll never forgive her for ruining my life#but whether I'll acknowledge the fact that she genuinely tried to make up for it#I don't think she'll EVER fully break out of those old habits of hers#but can I accept and understand that her circumstances made her the way she is#and acknowledge that even if she wasn't an amazing parent#she was still just a person fighting her own demons#and deserves the credit as a human being for trying her best even when that 'best' was not good#can I find it within myself to do that?

still haven't moved on from zane in this episode (aka I hit tag limit again and am unhappy about it)
#alek insanity#not gonna main tag this but prepare for a tiny rant#home is actually really good zane characterization and its super cool to me how it holds up to this day#s1 characterization is very specific to me because the behaviors displayed by the ninja there (mostly) isnt bc thats how they really are but#its due to societal pressure. cole originally being more 'stone faced tough guy' -> 'down to earth' -> 'really sensible easy to talk to guy'#is because hes always been a sensitive guy... but he felt he couldnt express that true version of himself. thats the whole thing behind his#true potential. jay going from s1 -> s6 -> now is less of societal pressure and more teenager figuring himself out but it still applies. ish#seeing how much the ninja have changed or grown from then to now is amazing because back then they all wore masks. they didnt know each#other all that well. but theyve gained that comfortability with each other and also have grown and matured as people#some seasons / eps characterization for certain people im not a fan of (lloyds random misogyny arc in s13) but i mean the overall trend here#and then there is zane. zane in home was pretty dead on to how he behaves now (at least... when it comes to his faults?) and i dont want to#say people skim over that but i am the sf proclaimed n1 s1e2 fan and overthink every scene. zane's early characterization is some of my fav#for him period. he also goes through a ton of traumatic stuff and a ton of bad writing bouts but why he acts so 'weird' or 'distant' has#always been a thread sewn in. he changed so much he stayed the same in a way... if that makes sense. -> ohhh the ninja get mail and he#doesnt? oh he has no family? he quite literally walks away from that situation. oh the ninja are yelling in his face and asking whats wrong#with him? he literally walks away from that situation. he says its to follow the falcon but seeing how he apologized to them by not only#baking a ton of pies (cough... the food fight is what led to him leaving at first) but he also found them a whole entire new house.#zane is unable to truly value what he does for others. insert him in s11 saying he 'tried' to fufill his goal of protecting others.#everything he has ever done still isnt good enough. then the ninja tried to apologize and he didnt really... let them.#that one post about characters putting on facades and that facade being how people really see them. even in fandom. thats zane to me#the guy who lies about being upset and avoids his problems ran away after being yelled at? and he said he wasnt really mad? that is a lie!!#him being a ~360 when it comes to his character development is neat to me because he never hid behind a mask in the same way the others did#cole wanting to seem tough vs being really soft? kai wanting approval so bad he starts being selfish? kai isnt selfish usually!#he is self centered but that is a whole different thing. just wanting to fit in and breaking free of that. zane's true potential came in the#form of 'i finally know why i am not normal' instead of 'i will be my true self'. zane never pretended to not be weird#(instert book) states he literally didnt know why people got mad at him. he just existed and it was 'wrong'. the mask he hid behind was#avoidance. he was pretty open about how he actually was (most of the time). when he was upset he would audibly sigh and walk away lol#but for him saying he wasnt upset / saddened by the ninja... it felt like a moment of selflessness. if that makes sense. he blamed himself#for the monestary burning down. so he didnt deserve the apologies (ish) in the virtues of spinjitzu zane is shown as the generous one iirc#he puts the needs of others over his own. he will bear whatever burden he needs if others are happy. at that same time he doesnt allow

When it comes to hygiene tasks and self care with disability and chronic illness, its pretty much a constant case of: don't let perfect be the enemy of the good.
Basically: it's better to do something, than to do nothing at all.
TLDR: Just because you can't do something "properly" doesn't mean you shouldn't do it at all. Do it half-way. Do it shitty. Do it barely. Do it on a technicality. But do what you can. Just try, because doing something will help you.
If you don't have the energy to scrub your body with a sponge, just rub soap over your skin with your hands.
If you don't have the energy to wash your whole body with soap, just hit the places where sweat accumulates, or where you're smelliest.
If you don't have the energy to wash with soap AT ALL, just sitting in water is better than nothing. It will wash away dirt and oils.
If you can't bathe or shower at all, a warm wash cloth is your new best friend. If that's too much, then try bath wipes. They're a bit bigger than regular wet wipes, and a bit more heavy duty. They're designed to help keep bed ridden patients clean in hospitals.
If you don't have the energy to dry yourself after a bath or a shower, just put on a bathrobe and get into bed. If you don't have the energy to get dressed afterwards, just don't. It can wait until you can.
If you don't have energy to brush your teeth for two minutes, honestly, just a cursory scrub is better than not doing anything.
If you can't brush your teeth twice a day, brush in the evenings. It will help take away the build up of food from the day.
If you don't have the energy to brush AT ALL, honestly, just take a cloth and wipe the plaque off your teeth. Rinse with mouth wash after if you'd like. Something is always better than nothing.
If you can't floss twice a day. Try once. If that's too much, try a few times a week. If that's too much, try setting aside a day once a week as a goal. If you can't keep a schedule, do it when you're able to. Hell, I keep some floss next to my bed so that if I forget and don't have the energy to go get it, I can just reach over.
If you can't iron your clothes, don't bother. Wrinkles are fine. Wear jumpers over wrinkly t-shirts. No one will know, and honestly, most people won't even care. If it's really wrinkly and it's A Big Deal And It Needs To Be Ironed, here's my life hack. Step 1: take a spray bottle, and spritz the item of clothing (while you're wearing it is easiest) until it's lightly damp. Step 2: use a hair-dryer on the clothes until they're dry. It gets rid of creases like nobody's business, it's easier than lugging out the iron and ironing board, and you get to have nice toasty warm clothes afterwards.
If you can't fold your clothes, try just hanging them up. It's less commitment. It's quicker to do. Granted, you need to have the space in order to do this, but it is also good at helping you downsize, and lets you visualise exactly what you have.
If you can't put your clothes away, invest in a couple of laundry baskets, and then just keep your clean clothes in the baskets. You can then separate washed clothes into underwear, pants, and shirts baskets. You can just leave them like that. I'm giving you permission to never fold your laundry again if you can't. Just leave it unfolded. Who's going to care? Something is better than nothing. If you can, try to put those baskets into your closet so that you can keep the clutter out of sight, and give yourself a more restful environment.
If you can't separate your clothing out into different categories and wash them "properly" (whites, warm tones, cool tones, darks, delicates / switching between hot & cold washes / paying attention to laundry instructions on the label) then just don't worry about it. If you cold wash your clothes, colours won't bleed. Maybe gradually over the course of dozens of washes there'll be some changes in hue, but it's really not as high stakes as the One Red Sock In The Whites Turns Them Pink trope makes it out to be.
I've pretty much come to the point in my life where if a piece of clothing can't survive the washer and dryer, then it's just not meant to be. I colour separate my clothes, and if I have the energy/remember I'll take my bras and jumpers out of the washing machine to drip dry. But otherwise, I leave it to the universe.
If you can't separate out your recycling, then don't. If you have a large amount of rubbish you need to get rid of but the idea of separating it out properly is stopping you from doing so, then just don't worry about it. I know it's not ideal, but if you have garbage in your room/house and you need to get rid of it, please just get rid of it. Don't let the problem get bigger and harder to deal with. Don't let "doing something properly" get in the way of keeping your living spaces clean. Please. Give yourself understanding.
If you can't wash your dishes, get paper plates. Obviously, it's not ideal, but it is better that you eat food than skipping meals. It is better that you have a clean kitchen, rather than having dishes piling up and making it harder to look after yourself.
If you can't prepare meals for yourself keep making the tasks easier and easier. If you can't do recipes, then simplify. Use pasta sauce from the jar instead of making it. Eat canned soup. Buy food you can just stick in the oven. If you eat fish fingers and microwave veggies every night, it's better than not eating anything at all. It's better than having to fork out money on take-out. If you need ready-made meals, then get them. If you're literally just eating a raw cauliflower for dinner; 1) I see you, 2) me too, sis, 3) something is better than nothing.
These are the basic things you need to do every day to function as a person. They are your activities of daily living. Brushing your teeth. Bathing or showering. Using the bathroom. Getting dressed. Eating. Drinking. Sleeping. Keeping your environment clean. You don't need to do these things perfectly, but they need to happen in order for you to have a decent quality of life.
And it breaks my heart, because I know that so many disabled people can't do these things every day. I'm not saying this to guilt or judge, I'm saying that these are basic needs; you deserve these things. These things bring dignity. If a disabled person is unable to do these things, it diminishes their quality of life. It robs them of dignity.
If you need help to do these things, Its okay to ask for help. It's okay to need help. But if you can't get that help and you have to do these things by yourself -- or you just plain want to be independent and do it without help-- then don't hold yourself to standards you can't meet.
Don't let perfect be the enemy of the good. Doing something is always better than doing nothing. Even if it's not perfect. Even if it's not done well. Do what you can.
#lord knows that im still trying to pull myself out of the muck and into independence and dignity#i had to set a rule for myself that i need to wear clean clothes every day. and that i need to wear pyjamas to bed#that one's been hard. sometimes I dont have the energy to do it and i just stay in the same clothes for two days at a time#or i go to sleep in what i was wearing. but when i do follow that rule my quality of life is drastically better#not feeling dirty or gross goes a long way to making you feel more like a person#i also made a rule that im not allowing myself to look frumpy outside anymore. that means clothes that look nice#no more trackies and pj pants and all that stuff. i basically lived in perpetual pyjamas for four years and im over it#i still dress comfortably but the important thing is that i dress. i look put together. i wear things that make me happy#(and i didnt need to buy anything to do so. i just needed to start taking better care of myself)#and i stopped letting perfect be the enemy of the good. i started doing things shitty rather than not doing it at all#and the more i keep pushing with my ADLs the better i feel#what helps is now i dont have to contend with stairs and that has made a dramatic change to what im able to accomplish#ive also finally built up enough strength in my body that im able to go to the shops by myself. so i can buy things to make easy meals#and mum doesnt mind if i just put some things in the oven or air fryer for us for dinner.#i still cant really cook. i felt bad about that for the longest time. i didnt even try bc i knew what id make would be disappointing#or it wouldnt be up to the standards of what everyone else was making. i was so sick of feeling like a let down all the time.#now i just make what i can and my mum doesnt complain bc shes in the same boat.#and yeah. having help would be nice. it would mean id be able to do more than what i can do by myself.#and its great to see how far ive come. but im not a burden. and when i have the accommodations i need i can do a lot more#i do something rather than nothing and my life has dramatically changed since then. ive just gotten better and better.#chronic illness#disability#chronic pain#spoonie#one things for certain and thats that im never going to let myself rely on anyone else ever again.#i never want to be on the other side of that ever again. I don't want to be anyone's burden. i dont want that hanging over me#i do things by myself or i dont do them at all. and god fucking willing i'll never go back to needing as much help as i used to#i really didnt realise just how much of an obstacle living with stairs was in my life. it was the biggest barrier against everything#stairs stopped me from being independent. if i couldnt traverse them i just didnt go anywhere. my world shrank so much#and not having the proper wheelchair shrinks my world even more. im stronger than i used to be but im still severely limited in where i go
