This guy was ecstatic when he found out his new teammate was going to be from space, scout is really into comics (even tho he can’t read) so his imagination went wild when Ms Pauling announced that he’d be fighting alongside what he considered an alien

Once you arrived he was in awe, he thinks you’re the coolest person on the team solely because you’re from another planet.

But he did quickly recognize that you weren’t use to like, anything on earth.

I like how you write darven I think their relationship is sooo interesting with Darcy being extremely toxic towards riven. I feel like if riven had never gotten with Darcy, and just went straight to musa, their relationship would’ve been much more healthier, but since Darcy was rivens first serious relationship (imo) I think it probably rlly warped rivens mind of what relationships are supposed to be like. And also just how he views himself. (Also I noted that you are also a fellow tears-in-rain enjoyer 😋)

That I am, lol. Hers is actually the first rewrite I ever read! The fact that it's from the guys POV is just sugar on the cream. I do think Darcy having been Riven's first girlfriend (listen, from the character alone I could come up with a myriad of exes for him, but the fact remains that he IS only 17, so the same way I don't accept Bloom having had a serious relationship on Earth before Sky, I don't quite see Riven having exes either) really fucked up his way of looking at relationships and his and Musa's suffered for it, but I also think he's riddled with enough personal drama that they'd manage to make it nice and messy even without Darcy's help. However, the WAY his relationship with Musa is affected with Darcy greatly differs depending on the way it worked. In my usual verse, I actually think it heightens the miscommunication to the 100s because while Musa expects Riven to read her mind basically, Riven LITERALLY IS USED TO HIS GF DOING EXACTLY THAT. Not only that, he's used to just *knowing* what she wants bc she sends him actual palpable telepathic signals. I think several times there was a situation where he extends his palm towards her and she's like "???" and he's like "????" and she's like "?????" and only then does he realize he didn't ask her to hand him the water, he just thought it in his head. Also, some funny shenaningans like the mind conversations in How I Met Your Mother, when they're sending each other signals and are like "hell yea he/she gets it" but they actually had completely different conversations lol. However, if Darcy was outright abusive, then Riven is way worse, way more secretive, and has preemptive bouts of anger because he's pushing back automatically because he thinks he's gonna get pushed. And if Musa is angry about something, he manages to escalate the situation to the nines because instead of just recognizing that his girlfriend is angry and yeah that happens, he thinks he's like, this close to physical violence. Moderation is not something he's familiar with lol. Also, I think he has slight manic episodes where he pretty much disassociates from all issues they may have- and Musa feels like she has to go alongside with it because hey their relationship is turbulent, she'd be crazy if she didn't go along with it when he's actually agreeable, but actually he's the only one actually riding the high and she's clinging along, burying some of the issues that are bothering her until she explodes. BUT I still think they can and will work as a couple and she's the reason why I gave Riven love for music (Darcy's ballet thing came after just to bother Musa, it's there FOR Musa) and the love for music scene. He's not a performer nor does he want to be, but he gets it. And it's the stuff that they just naturally get about each other that keeps the bridge standing while they're working through all the shit they do not get. Because lets be real, these 2 dumdums don't get themselves. How can they fully get each other? And speaking of Riven getting it, I actually bet he was on Melody several times for concerts prior to season 1. As a dragonrider, I actually think he can get tickets for free, backstage access, you name it. (which is ironic bc with his Androsi stipend he absolutely can afford the tickets, but it's always like that isn't it. The rich get it for free lol. Assholes.)

i dont think ive seen anyone rlly discuss this yet but one scene im still miffed they took out was the hellhound attacking percy during capture the flag (after the showdown between clarisse and percy). this isn’t so much a gripe for 1-to-1 accuracy but rather what it represents. least important to most important (in my opinion):

1. percy’s powers are forced to fully manifest. his displays escalate, from percy making the fountain grab nancy bobofit, to spraying clarisse in the toilets, then finally to heal himself. it makes sense that his displays should escalate in response to his opponents, instead of a repeat of clarisse and gang trying to bludgeon him.

2. the chapter where it happens is when percy starts realizing that chb is not a perfectly safe haven and the gods arent all that (“i could begin to understand luke’s resentment…”). clarisse may be holding a monumental grudge against him; but the hellhound is pre-meditated, murderous intent, and it requires scheming and betrayal from someone inside/affiliated with camp. because chb is no longer a place where percy can just blend in as unclaimed and hide forever, poseidon is essentially cornered into claiming him, and the quest is inevitable.

3. the hellhound tells us just how dire the stakes are even while percy is esconced in chb—the lengths to which the antagonist is willing to go in order to draw out the war between zeus and poseidon, to kill anything standing in his way. the hellhound tells us how dangerous kronos—AND LUKE—are, a point that is underscored by the following chapter describing the iconic (TO ME!) horse and eagle dream… which is something they also took out.

for comparison, in the show, capture the flag ends with annabeth pushing percy into the water so he heals from the injuries dealt to him by clarisse. so to me its not as impactful and, in an on-brand move by the tv show, severely diminishes the stakes of situation, so instead we get chiron horse-splaining the whole situation rather than actually feeling the consequences of it.

you could argue that the show version does achieve points 1 and 2, just differently��or not to the fullest degree, depending on if you agree with me or not. point 3 though is what irritates me particularly. it’s the show’s take on defanging luke. i could understand removing the scorpion because yeah it’s feasible that kronos would try to take a softer route with percy and recruit him.

but removing the hellhound, which is the murder situation where you could actually still make luke not entirely at fault for the situation (kronos threatened him, kronos foresaw that percy would be in that spot but luke didnt, etc.) is basically just. absolving him of any actual moral reprehensibility in the show. which i dont like. luke’s character is one that i def agree can afford to be made more sympathetic, especially since in tlt-som hes quite a cardboard cutout villain (likely bc rick didnt know fully yet his plans/vision for luke), but the show just swings in that opposite direction, almost as if it’s too afraid that it will be too complex/polarizing for its audience. as a longtime luke fan its insulting; and as a pjo fan it’s quite worrying, because if they miss the point of luke’s character, high chances are they miss the point and spirit of the series entirely.

to conclude, this is not to say that this scene, or any singular scene at all, is the make or break for me, or for anyone at all (though i think the lotus casino scene/episode may be a close placeholder for that lol). however, it is, in my opinion, one part in a very long string of show retcons that swap the source for something worse or with less heart.

he swoons when you rock up in your work clothes and your heels (red lip optional but it would be so cunty i fear), and does his best not to smirk while you sit through listening to this fucking awful excuse for a father complain about how his son is an angel and would never do anything wrong and your daughters are feral and should be expelled with a raised eyebrow and folded arms, because he knows you're about to tear this arsehole a new one. you do, but in a lawyerly way; you literally pull handouts from your bag for everyone like "email transcripts from the past six weeks, detailing the problems your supposed angel of a child has ben causing my eldest daughter, beginning with a note from their class teacher to apologise for the bruising dylan came home with after he deliberately pushed her off a swing set and to inform us he would be duly disciplined in class, and hopefully at home too, as the email had been sent to you and your family as well. the rest of the transcripts are emails from myself to the class and head teachers, explaining that dylan has since been scared to go to school due to further bullying, and asking if something could be done about this rapidly escalating situation. i don't necessarily condone my younger daughter's actions, although i am proud of her for standing up for her sister, but if you had bothered to deal with your child's behaviour before now then she wouldn't have had to resort to violence to stop her older sister being targeted". the headteacher is (rightfully) mortified, the man is IRATE, and matty's not sure he's ever fancied you more in his life. and then he has to rescind that, because the man tries to pull the "oh, i'm sure my son's only acting like that because he fancies her!" card, and you just say "children learn behaviours, though - you implying that your son equates affection with violence also implies someone in the immediate family thinks so, too. in that case, maybe best to get social work involved. i'm sure they'd be very interested to hear that" - he's spluttering out denials (which don't sound too convincing), and you just stand up and say "i think we're done here. we'll speak to elena about her methods of tackling injustice. and i hope your son's bruising isn't too severe - we can testify from dylan's that arnica ointment helps, though. have a good weekend" and grab matty and leave. he keeps it together until you pick up the girls and take them home, and then he distracts them by putting spongebob on before he pulls you into the utility room and just kisses you until you're lightheaded; he pulls away like "i love you i'm in awe of you and you're so hot that if i don't go down on you in the next two minutes i might die. i'm not even kidding like you ended that stupid cunt. in my mind, i think that pico and bf started dating a little bit before the shooting. like a lot of people hc, i think bf was absent that day (either cuz he was sick or he was just skipping, idk lol) either way, bf knew pico both pre- and post-shooting, and was kind of there for pico's um. decline. they would get into trouble together, escalating into actual genuine danger, etc etc.

a lot of it was kind of shit considering well again. the problems. but ofc it wasnt all bad they loveddd each other and shit. ew! get a room. also they made shitty mixtapes together <3 (bf mainly rapped and pico produced (dj aspirations) but he would also rap too)

when it comes to darnell and nene, i honestly dont rlly think them and pico were friends before the shooting? that part is debatable to me, but in my mind i think they kinda knew each other, but they only really became close after the shooting due to being the only survivors (including bf)

i dont rlly think bf was friends with darnell and nene? i mean considering how chill they were with carrying a hit out on him lmao. i imagine they didnt really hang out a lot; they probably only interacted with each other when pico was around

i don't think they outright hated him or anything, but they probably kinda saw him as "that naïve lil twerp that pico's dating." like they would sorta rag on him when he wasnt around ("what do you see in that idiot p?" and pico would be like "shut up guys it's none of your business")

a big thing for me is that i think pico viewed boyfriend as sort of separate from darnell and nene, and i think the main reason is because bf is the only one of them who didnt experience the shooting firsthand - he's the only one of them who's still "innocent"

basically, pico views himself, darnell, and nene as being part of this fucked up world that includes all their trauma and crime and stuff, and pico does not view bf as being part of that world. he's "pulled" bf into that world via association

that's why when they break up (in my hc) pico tells bf to get away from him but continues to hang out with darnell and nene. they're already a part of that world (they're "just as bad as him") but bf "isn't like them"

either pico told them the truth about the breakup OR he lied and said that bf initiated it ("he finally got cold feet") or something bcuz he felt guilty about it

Since I realized y'all def don't know the story

On black Friday they divided our breaks a very particular way to ensure everyone got a break while also making sure we were properly staffed for the crowds. When going to clock out for mine I pressed the wrong button by accident (picked the wrong kind of break) so I would need to get a form from the office to make sure I got paid right and all.

I step on the escalator to go downstairs after my break, realized I forgot to grab a form, and since I was like. 3 steps down. I thought I could manage sprinting up. I could not, and slammed my knee into a step. The escalator stopped bc of a safety feature and I limped down to my coworker (who was also my work bestie). I told her I didn't think I'd need to go to the hospital bc I really did NOT want us to be a person down on black Friday, but one look at my knee and she was like. Bro you probably need stitches.

By some fuckin MIRACLE there happened to be a nurse in my section just as this happened and he noticed I needed help, so while my mil drove to the mall to take me to urgent care he cleaned up my knee and stuff.

I had to get 8 stitches and I needed my mil there to comfort me (hubby was at work and I didn't want them to leave even if they could) but I ended up being the one comforting her bc she ended up getting queasy looking at things 😅 which I mean. Was a good distraction in the end.

I gotta address this in case my mutuals or followers see the "callout" against me, which was literally just a rant saying how "we hate u omg ur so stupid and poopy >:c" made public for some reason? it was personal drama and if they didn't @ me I would have never even seen it. I won't be naming anybody cuz I don't care about them, I just want my mutuals to know what this is about.

1. quick background

this is regarding my ex friends. I had a conversation with one of them about a month ago that escalated into us ending our friendship. it would appear that they have been struggling to get rid of me for months now because they thought I was annoying and obsessive. If you know me, you know I have adhd and other issues. I'm paranoid and very insecure abt things. this is all true and I am fully aware that I had moments where I was either weird or maybe too obsessed with something, but that's rlly just something I can't help. I get fixated on things. If they told me that certain things I said or did were really upsetting I would have done my best to stop talking about it, because I cared about these people a lot. Everything they had issue with could have been resolved if they just told me outright what was bothering them. We could have dealt with this months ago.

I repeat. I am fully aware that I made mistakes. However, I couldn't have done anything about them because I wasn't told outright that I was upsetting anyone for a long time.

2. Response to the "callout"

Why make such a personal issue public. What good did you get from making a post abt me that literally had no reason being public for random people to see that don't get half of the story, and put reasons that were just insults, insults that completely disregard the fact I'm paranoid and have severe RSD. literally why did u do that? Saying you hated me since April is honestly so gross because I knew something was wrong but when I would ask about I'd get responses like "oh it's fine!". I was lied to for months.

3. clearing up some accusations

I didn't send any asks to any of these people since I blocked them a month ago. I haven't looked at any of their blogs since I blocked them a month ago. I literally didn't do anything to them for a month. all I did was make 1 vague post and my friend said "ugh I hope he dies". How did they see this vague post if they weren't stalking my blog. And I honestly don't care what my friend said cuz what u guys r doing is way worse lol.

also I've been accused of being fatphobic by someone for saying their bf can get better taste. I said that cuz they joke kin gerard way who has a puke fetish oh my god. also this was said in private dms that were leaked in the server AFTER I had blocked all of them. if they're allowed to make a "callout", I can vague and talk abt this in dms.

The first time you meet this sneki boy, you were quiet and reserved. War council had just ended and you were named as a princess of the Oda forces. You were super socially awkward, and anxiety was slowly starting to creep in, as the curious warlords started to surround you. It wasn’t until Mitsuhide had pulled you away in a teasing manner to save you from the crowd that you finally started to calm down. He had noticed this new little mouse had been on edge since arriving. However, he didn’t suspect you of being an assassin or spy as, during the whole council, your hands shook, and you could barely speak up against Nobunaga’s demanding and commanding tones. 

Mitsuhide had found you incredibly amusing from the first moment you walked in, you caught this foxes eye. He didn’t know if it was the innocence or naïve purity that just seemed to radiate from you, but for some reason when he was looking at you, he found that he simply couldn’t look away.

It took all of one day for all the warlords to officially drop all suspicions of you. You were just such a sweetheart how could they not instantly love you and feel the need to protect you. You had started helping a few of the maids that first morning after you were named princess. You didn’t want to be a freeloader, so you worked hard to earn your keep and soon, the maids were fighting over who would get to work with you cause all of then just loved and adored you so much. 

You got annoyed with Hideyoshi when he first found you helping the maids, as he was 100% started micromanaging you. You lost you cool and raised your voice at him, TBH Hideyoshi didn’t think anything of it, but it wasn’t until you had pitched up at his manor an hour later to apologize for being so rude to him that he realized what a sweet and sensitive person you truly were. Of course from that moment onward you had gained yourself a big doting brother.

All the Oda forces agreed that you were too sweet and naïve for your own good, so Mitsuhude was assigned to give you princess lesson to prepare you for your new life as Oda princess. You were super excited when Mitsuhide had told you that he was going to teach you a variety topics such as economics, politics, history and self-defence. You even managed to impress the sneki boy, by getting all the questions correct on the first test he had handed you. You had found that first test incredibly easy as you were a bit of a history buff, and all the questions had been based on Nobunaga’s history. This low key shook the sliver kitsune a little bit, as this proved that not only were you pure and naive but you were also super smart. You kind of reminded him a little bit of Mitsunari, a cleaver professor with their head in the clouds. 

Mitushide praised you for your ability to pick up on concepts quickly and work diligently as a student, “I dare say little one, you are the best student a teacher could ask for.” You spend masses amount of time with sneki boi, and through that time you realized just how sweet Mitsuhide truly was, although he was a massive tease leaving you a blushy mess almost every day after lessons with his teasing comments. And naturally, the more time Mitsuhide had spent with you, the more in love he fell. It was also noted by the fellow warlords that, Mitsuhide always wore a soft gentle expression when it came to you, and in your experience he had been a kind gentle patient teacher. SO naturally you found yourself more and more drawn to this mysterious man.

Through all the time spent with the kitsune, you found yourself opening up more and more. He was one of the few people that got to see your playful side. You now would make the puniest, corniest jokes he has ever heard, leaving this kitsune in a fit of laughter mid-way through a lecture. Not only that, but he loved loved loved your competitiveness side. 

This side of you slowly started to surface after the 3rd or 4th self-defence lesson when you started challenging the kitsune to rematches whenever he would pin you down, ultimately beating you in your little makeshift sword fight. Boy oh boy, don’t even get me started on the shooting lessons, once you were able to fire the rifle, you were straight-up challenging this boy, the best marksmen around to a shoot-off. “Come on Mitsuhide, the first one to get 100 bulls-eyes in a row wins, and the loser has to buy tea.” Needless to say, you always lost and even though every day you would make that exact bet, Mitsuhide would always insist on sticking you for tea and lunch as reward for being such a good student. 

He really enjoyed spending time with you and would absolutely insist on holding your hands whenever the two of you were on your way to the tea house together after your lessons. “I can’t have my clumsy little mouse tripping and falling now can I.” Every day without fail, he would say that to you as he wraps his big hand around your small one, while leading you to your favourite tea house.

The two of you would talk about everything and anything over tea, these topics ranged from you making stupid jokes, to talking about random topics such as philosophy and psychology. Either way, Mitsuhide loved to spend time with you. He would always listen to and hang on to every word you said, storing every word in his memory. 

You were his precious little mouse, and he knew you were an extremely sensitive creature. If anyone dared say a single bad word to you or make you sad, they would face the wrath of this very protective kitsune. Like one time, one of the visiting daimyos had talked down to you for accidentally bumped into him. You were busy cleaning the windows when you accidentally lost your balance and bumped into him. He was so disgusted that a mere maid had touched him. He started yelling at you and insulting you, this escalated to such a point that he even had his hand raised ready to hit you for getting dirty window water on his shoes. That’s when sneki boi decided to intervene. Mitsuhide legit stood protectively in front of you with his rifle pointed at the man’s heart, with the full intention to shoot. “Golly me it appears like you are quite the troublesome little mouse, my dear.” He then turned his sharp gaze towards the daimyo “I do suggest you apologize to the Oda princess, lest you want to answer for your crimes directly to Nobunaga.” The man simply scoffed and walked away. Mitsuhide then turned to you and enveloped you in a warm hug while kissing the top of your head, “Are you alright, my dear little mouse?” Mitsuhide looked into your beautiful eyes and gently took your hands in his, “Come little one, I have something I wish to show you.”

The two of you walked hand in hand to Mitsuhide’s manor, Mitsuhide led you out into his garden, where you saw something so beautiful you could cry. The garden was filled with flowers and candles and in the centre was a table set up, with a feast laid out op top of it. 

Mitsihide had told you that night that he was hopelessly in love with you. He was overjoyed when he had discovered that you like him, was also a hopeless romantic and that you had an incredibly poetic, romantic way with words. You handed him a letter in which you had expressed your feelings for him in the form of a beautifully written poem. You were actually intending to leave the poem on his desk as a way of confessing your feelings. This instantly melted sneki bois heart into a giant puddle and he couldn’t help but pull you in for a sweet kiss. 

After diner Mitsuhide had led you deeper into the garden where a fluffy blankie was sprawled out on the grass, he guided you to sit down and the motioned for you to lookup. Above you, a thousand stares were shooting across the sky in a big meteor shower. Mitsuhide pulled you into his arms and kissed your cheeks as the two of you watched the sky. He always remembered every detail you had told him about yourself, so when you revealed that you loved the sky and the stars, he knew he had to incorporate this rare meteor shower in your date somehow. 

This had sparked a new tradition between the two of you, to stargaze and spend the whole night in deep conversation. These nights were full of love and affection as Mitsuhide would pull you into his lap and just hold you there for hours and hours as the two of you talked and watched the sky

Of course sneki boi also had a bit of a spontaneous side, and would take you on exhilarating trips around Nobunaga’s territories. They were mostly missions but after you had nagged Nobunaga to give you permission to go along on the missions, you and Mitsuhide would finish the official work asap so that the two of you cuties had plenty of time to enjoy yourself in the new environment.

Mitsuhide loves everything about you from your slight messiness, to your love of learning new things. He also knows that his sweet little mouse sometimes needs some space and alone time and will be sure to give you as much alone time as you need to recharge. He knows that you will seek him out when you have had enough of your own company. He will always welcome you back with outstretched arms when you have had enough alone time, and shower you with endless amounts of affection.

Whenever you are feeling insecure or worrying about the future Mitsuhide is right there by your side, whispering words of affection and reassurance in your ears. He makes sure to remind you every day just how perfect you are and just how much he loves you. 

Often you can be found in sneki boys lap with your head resting comfortably in the crook of his neck as he soothingly strokes your hair. Don’t be surprised if this sneaky kitsune drops a few kissed on your nose, cheeks or lips during these quiet and peaceful moments, just as a way to convey how much he loves and adores you.
