I saw the Australian production of Dear Evan Hansen a couple of nights ago! My first time ever seeing it live after years of obsessing over it. I was losing my mind entirely, it was incredible.

Speaking of the Master or thoschei and 70-80s rock, I again have to make it clear just how freaking much Pink Floyd's Wish you were here album fits these two freaks. Like, The Wall, the story of a sensitive man turning into a fascist leader because the safest place you can be is behind your wall, that's the Master's ultimate album. But Wish you were here? with its sorrow and longing for a connection in a lonely crowd, inspired by the friend you watched collapsing into madness while you chose your own path? That's just too insanely freaking fitting. Like, fuck's sake, tell me this is not the summary of everything the Doctor tries to tell the Master:

I will never make this because it would be for an audience of one (me) but ever since reading "If we Were Villains" (story about serious drama kids in college who perform shakespeare and deal with a murder) I have been entertaining the thought of a crack fic crossover with High School Musical The Musical The Series where the staff decides they will no longer put on shakespeare after the tragic accident that happened at Thanksgiving, because Shakespeare plays would only increase the tension and drama. So they hire Ms. Jen who decides their spring play will actually be High School Musical (which exists in the 90s in this universe) and it ruins the vibe so much that everyone gives up on being dark and mysterious because they're universally pissed at Ms Jen for making them learn choreoraphed basketball dancing.

see my take is that i dont condone caits actions at all however she matches vis freak too much to not ship them in my eyes. and also i feel like the show wanted to give more depth & time to cait's "redemption" arc but it was so rushed that we never actually got to see that arc of cait realizing the consequences of her actions. i think its something thats implied to have happened off screen given the way caits already challenging ambessa but we never got that backstory so we dont actually know what was going through her mind or what led her to change her mind about ambessa.

lacey games is crazy 'cause it's like, here's rocio going through a hard time, like a ROUGH time, and here's her friend, who ignores her. who pushes her off as weird and coocoo,so rocio suffers alone. she's hurting, and they have this project about a girl, and her adventures. and in this moment she is someone who's grown up hurt so she shows kids the way she sees the world, the way shes been hurt and how they could be hurt too. so lacey grieves, and lacey is killed and lacey is hurt , and lacey feels just like rosio does and -

Digitalised + coloured + redesigned version of my Suiren and Vaatu sketch from two days ago, as promised!!

Coming up with Suiren’s design was a very long process of trying and failing because after you’ve drawn 9+ different versions of one character, the creativity starts to run a little dry, but I’m actually really proud of this one, she looks absolutely adorable <3

(Also yeah I did mostly just scribble Vaatu’s pattern because who has the energy to draw the all out accurately. Not me, that’s who, I’m chronically tired. People who draw him on the regular have my utmost respect. He’s still a funky little guy though :D)

and not only that, rex/marshall was portrayed as the one in the wrong amongst a season of television that didn't do anything but suck its own dick for ten episodes. this entire season has been horrible, abandoning all hope of telling a good story in favour of celebrity cameos. look, it's eugene levy! look, it's ron howard! yeah, they don't have anything to do with the actual story but isn't it just so cool that they agreed to be here (because we offered to pay them enough)?! the bad guy is going to be a nobody btw because we have to protect our precious celebrity idols from ~the crazies~ i guess.

honestly, we should have seen this coming when they made the villain of season 2 a struggling young woman who came from rock bottom trying to make a life for herself in a major industry - oh wait, that's the exact same fucking thing they did here. fucking bullshit show.
