Meeting you for the first time even though you’re shy
Edit: I added vampire Bella because someone said I should
Carlisle
- You got into and accident and broke your foot
- He think its cute how you wont make eye contact with him and you mumble
- He instantly feels a connection to you and wonders if you also feel something
- He’s scared that he’s going to scare you
- He wants to make you feel comfortable around him, he wants you to trust him enough and let yourself out
- He admires how you try to be brave even though you’re shy
- You have a stutter? He loves it
- He wants to tell you everything about himself immediately but knows you might run if he does so he stays away from the topic
- He’s mysterious, checking up on you when you don’t know he’s there.
- the night after you left the hospital he stood in your room watching you sleep to make sure you were alright
- He kept watching over you intently until your foot was fully healed, even then he still was there
Esme
- As her eyes land on you she wants to immediately bring you into a tight hug
- She met you while she was helping out at the school
- She asks if you’re lost because you’ve been wandering the halls for the past 15 minutes
- Has the sweetest laugh when you quietly ask her where a class is
- She introduces herself and walks you to the class, speaking to the teacher out in the hall so you don’t get into trouble

- He sat beside you as you waited for a doctors appointment. He was visiting his father.
- He used his gift to calm you down and talked to you
- You wondered why you felt so calm around him
- After your appointment he was still there, waiting for you
- “I hope you don’t mind me waiting for you. You seemed so nervous I just wanted to make sure everything went okay.”
- He gave you his number in case you ever wanted to talk
Rosalie
- You worked at a café across from the salon she went to
- She was a regular, you liked how she always ordered the same thing so you didn’t really need to talk to her
- She compliments you a lot
- She ends up giving you her number, saying how cute you were and how she wants to take you out sometime
- She likes how flustered she makes you
Emmett
- He goes on runs (human runs) past your neighbourhood everyday
- One day it starts raining and he asks if he can stay in your house until it stops
- You reluctantly agree, you end up hitting it off
- You watch your favourite movies and end up having a great time
- It becomes apparent later that he likes you
- You like to call him a big teddy bear
Bella (As a vampire)
- You got into a little trouble with her dad, what did you do? Just a little, teensy weensy crime. Nothing major
- Charlie thought you and Bella would be good friends so he introduced you to her
- She wonders how someone as shy as you could do a crime, even if it was little
- She admires you from afar and when you’re together
- She’ll take you anywhere you want, you remind her of her when she was human and she wants to protect you at all costs

To the ever growing list of dead adult women in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Catherine Madison, Jenny Calendar, and Joyce’s friend Pat so far, with at least three more significant names to come over the next three years) we can now add Faith’s first Watcher. This character never officially gets a name, but she’s called Diana Dormer in the Go Ask Malice tie-in novel and I’ll use that name too just to avoid typing out “Faith’s first Watcher” repeatedly. ‘Diana’ has zero lines of dialogue and appears on screen for zero minutes (which is pretty bad even by the standards of this show) and after this episode she will never be mentioned by anyone again, but nonetheless I think she’s a very interesting character.
Even if Faith’s arc in Season 3 wasn’t fully planned out from the start, Faith, Hope & Trick establishes quite a lot of what her character will look like going forward. In particular, we see signs of what she’ll later self-diagnose as a “problem with authority figures” in her initial enthusiasm about the possibility for “having fun” now that she’s “Watcherless and fancy-free”, and in the first of a handful of hints about the circumstances of her pre-Slaying life (“my dead mother hit harder than that”, she tells a vampire mid-fight).
And we also see, at the end of the episode, that this posture of tough self-sufficiency that Faith assumes is something of an act: that her Watcher’s death has actually had a huge impact on her, one which she’s been trying and failing to suppress since before she arrived in Sunnydale. It’s surely not a coincidence that we have a scene of Faith hurriedly packing and preparing to flee town this episode which mirrors the scene of Buffy doing the same thing just last episode. After all, there was a part of the quote from Revelations I omitted earlier: the problem Faith has with authority figures is that “they end up kind of dead”.
What was Faith’s Watcher actually like? The show doesn’t think to tell us; the writers simply don’t care. All we know about her from this episode, other than that she’s dead, is the vaguest of suggestions that she was older than Giles (since, on seeing Giles, Faith comments that she hadn’t “known they came that young and cute”) and perhaps that she was in rather better standing with the Watcher’s Council (Diana, after all, probably was invited to the retreat, or how else would Faith have known about it?). We also know that Faith blames herself for not being able to protect Diana from Kakistos (“I was there […] I saw what he did to her [...] I tried to stop him, but I couldn’t. And I ran.”).
I think those scraps – a dead, possibly abusive mother who, we’ll learn later, spent a lot of time “enjoying the drinking and passing out parts of life”, and a dead Watcher she wasn’t able to save – explain a lot about how quick Faith is to bond with practically every adult who spends even five minutes making the effort. From Joyce in this very episode (“your Mom’s really cool, huh?” she tells Buffy within minutes of meeting her, her loyalty bought by a plate of food and the promise of a second soft drink), to Gwendolyn Post in just a few episodes’ time, to the Mayor himself in the second half of this season. Faith has a problem with authority figures, in that she really desperately wants one in her life.
One last thought.
Something I hadn’t really considered before – and which I’m not sure the writers thought through either – is that Faith knowing about the Watcher’s retreat (and assuming Giles would be at it) means her Watcher must have told her she was going to the retreat herself, presumably sometime shortly before she died. And at this point, even assuming she was Called soon after Kendra died, Faith can only have known Diana for a couple of months.
So at some point soon after meeting her, and only shortly after finding out about being a Slayer, Faith’s Watcher must have had to sit her down and tell her that she’d be leaving the country for a bit, to go and hobnob and kayak and socialize with the other Watchers in England, and that Faith would have to look after herself again for a little while. I can imagine Faith playing it tough, like it was no big deal. Other kids might be scared, but not her. She can take care of herself, after all, can’t she?
And then her Watcher died, right in front of her eyes, and it turned out that she couldn’t.
Still, this episode at least ends on a positive note. “The Council has approved our request,” Giles tells Buffy at the end of the episode. “Faith is to stay here indefinitely. I’m to look after you both until a new Watcher is assigned.” Things have been tough – as Buffy notes, Faith had “a lot to deal with” – but she’s got somebody else to look after her now, so everything’s going to be fine forever.
… right?

PROPAGANDA
MARWA (WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS (TV SERIES)) (CW: Mind Control, Domestic Abuse)
1.) okok so a major character (nandor) uses a genie wish to bring back the 37 wives he had when he was human (he’s a vampire who was turned in the 1400s but is alive in the modern day) to pick his favorite to live with and settles on marwa. she’s established as someone who’s passionate about science and mathematics, but nandor uses his genie wishes to essentially mold her into his perfect woman like a doll, from changing her hair color to making her not want to go to the night market with him to making her like all the things he likes. this culminates in him LITERALLY TRANSFORMING HER INTO A BRITISH MAN NAMED FREDDIE and that is her send off from the show. the treatment of her is disgusting i’m sorry for ranting i love wwdits but honestly the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth
2.) WHERE TO START my god. Marwa is introduced into the story as one of a crowd of women who are interchangeable to the man summoning them, WHO IS HER CANONICAL HUSBAND but he gives less than half a fuck about her, which is played for laughs. The writers made it completely unclear whether she is a real person or basically a magical simulation with no inner life and did not bother to clarify that at any point. Her plotline consists of her husband using magical wishes to modify various aspects of her body and mind and the writers never explore whether she is aware this is happening or not, much less how she might be experiencing it. It is a terrifying psychological horror story from her perspective but we are not given any insight into her perspective so who cares I guess!! For example, he wishes for her to have a rounder ass and then wishes that all of her preferences align perfectly with his own, so that she’ll stop nagging him about wanting different colored flowers at their wedding than him. There are SEVERAL more examples. Her experience of having all of her desires replaced with her husband’s desires shows up only for jokes, plus one moment that is used to confirm that her husband’s real love interest is one of the other male leads in the show. (I ship the two male characters, I’m not complaining about that, but like COME ON SHE WAS A HUMAN PERSON ONCE AND SHE IS LIVING IN A HORROR MOVIE AND THIS IS WHAT YOU’RE DOING WITH THAT???) THE WORST PART is that when it’s time for her to exit the story because her body and personality have already been essentially replaced by magic and she is now a boring toy, she is LITERALLY PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY transformed into a random British man so that her husband can have that guy as a love interest instead of her. She (he? It? Again it is never NEVER explored whether Marwa is like, alive inside this British man’s mind somehow? Or if she was ever really alive in her body?) moves to England to be in love with the original British man she was based off of, so basically her twin. This is also played for laughs. Her entire personality and body are not even killed off with like a death scene but literally ERASED FROM REALITY AND REPLACED WITH A COPY OF THIS SHITTY WHITE DUDE.
3.) (Context: Nandor is a vampire who has been alive for a while. When he was human he had 37 wives. (Btw some of the wives were men but that’s besides the point.))
She was brought back to life (along with a couple others) via Djinn wish just because Nandor wanted to have a ‘wife’ (some of the ‘wives’ are men). After being deemed the ‘best wife’ by Nandor she is the only one left alive. It is clear the entire fourth season that Nandor doesn’t care for her much and she is only there because Nandor wants to be married to someone. He ignores her wants and interests the whole season. Via another Djinn wish Nandor makes Marwa like everything he likes so she is more agreeable with him. Later on, he meets another character’s boyfriend named Freddie. Nandor basically falls for Freddie immediately and via Djinn wish, wishes Marwa to be exactly Freddie. :| With that wish, Marwa is effectively gone. She now looks and acts like Freddie. The two Freddies meet and after freaking out a little (and some magic) they get along because they like the same exact things. By the end of the season both Freddies are sent off to never be seen again. Also, Nandor has some extra Djinn wishes so he could’ve turned Marwa back but he didn’t.

AZULA (AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER) (CW: Child Abuse, Ableism)
1.) Azula was totally screwed over by the writers of both the show, and its post-canon comics. When this fourteen year old abuse victim isn’t being portrayed as weirdly adult, she’s having her charecter massacred to make her precious older brother seem like a good guy for shoving her in an asylum. My girl deserved better than to be an extremely negative portrayal of mental illness who only exists to be a prop bad guy.
2.) I think everyone else has said it better than I can, but I’ll add that in the comics she’s shown to be heavily suffering from trauma and mental illness and she’s treated like she’s crazy and evil for having those issues, when her male relatives are supported
3.) Everyone hates for doing pretty much the same stuff zuko was doing pre-redemption (also the way people talk about her is so ableist)

Happy STS! What would it take to push your characters onto a villain arc?
Happy STS! I love this question, I’ve been thinking about it ever since I saw it :). Let’s see how many characters I can do this for
Belladonna: I feel like she could go one of two ways. If she becomes too close with Cassiopeia and lets Cassiopeia manipulate her too much, that’ll definitely send her down a very dark path. But, on the other hand, if she completely loses control of her life and gets relegated to Narcissus’s wife, I think she’ll go down a very different dark path. In the first, she’d become a tyrant and a lackey of Cassiopeia’s, always secretly hoping for love she’ll never get. In the second, she’d be a political schemer bordering on a terrorist trying to undermine Narcissus’s authority and influence.
Cassie: If Cassie was cornered and had nowhere to run, and she was pushed to fight without anyone having her back, she would be a terror. I think she could genuinely become one of the stations’ most terrifying criminals if her back was up against a wall (also in the terrorism direction).
Nellie: Nellie would be hard to push to a villain arc. She’s a very kind woman. I think if Rhys was murdered, that would push her into becoming a much darker version of herself, and while the nobles she’d be punishing would deserve it, she’d still be terrifying. Don’t piss off the woman who prepares your food :)
Narcissus: You’re telling me he isn’t already? He’s absolutely in his villain arc due to not addressing his numerous problems.
Ricinus: Again, already doing it, mostly because he was a little too close with his anti-human-rights, pro-horrific-human-experimentation grandfather. Don’t name your kids after war criminals folks :)
Goldenrod: Once again (I have a lot of villains). Hers is out of entitlement and a desire to get back what she lost from leaving Second Station.
Cassiopeia: The central antagonist herself. Cassiopeia went down her villain arc because her parents favored her and treated her like the superior child while letting her do whatever she wanted because she wasn’t the “problem child.”
Stellaris: Honestly, he’d be pretty hard to push to a villain arc. He believes fundamentally in being a good person to other people, even if he’s bad at it. I feel like he could definitely get framed as a villain by society at large, but I think his actions would primarily be frowned upon rather than outright villainous.
Rhys: I think the only thing that would push Rhys to a villain arc would be if someone killed his daughter. Rhys loves his daughter, although he knows he’ll almost never see her. He’d hurt someone who hurt her in a heartbeat.
Sel: If it would keep him alive and keep him from suffering, Sel would go down a villain arc without too much conflict. He wouldn’t want to, but Sel will do what he has to to protect himself.
I’ll give you a few Pirates’ Roost characters as a bonus :)
Merry: He’d be pretty hard to make into a proper villain but he could take some nasty revenge if someone hurt his ship or his crew. Especially Malcolm. He’d be terrifying.
Malcolm: Honestly he’s been on the edge a few times. If he hadn’t had support over and over again, he probably would be a much crueler person than he is today. I actually have a planned arc where we meet a character very similar to Malcolm who didn’t have that support and became a much darker person - his name is Floren.
Tatum: Tatum has kind of had theirs already - we meet them in the middle of it. Tatum would be a villain if someone made them, with leverage over them or their loved ones. In the case we see, Captain Jetti was holding their life-saving medication over their head. They don’t want to be a villain, but they will if it’ll save them.
We do also see a character named Len do a full villain arc in the later part of the Pirates’ Roost. She’s a vampire noble turned pirate and she’s… not exactly the best person. Power goes to her head a bit :)
Anyway, thank you so much for the ask! Lmk what you think or if you have any questions

I'll wait for you (wait for me)
for @thefreakandthehair's spicy six spring challenge :)
ao3
Steve, surprisingly, has never minded Eddie’s driving. The first time the kids had told him Eddie was driving them somewhere he’d nearly panicked, but then he’d beaten them out to the quarry and had to listen to the little twerps complaining about how Eddie ‘drove like a grandma’ the whole way there.
He’d asked about it, and Eddie had just given him a wry smile and cracked a joke about ‘precious cargo’. It had made something flutter in Steve’s chest, and he’d brushed Max’s claims about Eddie’s driving off. In fact, he doesn’t really consider it again until April nearly six months later, when he finds himself calling Eddie from the pay phone across the street from Moretti’s Tires.
“Yeah?” Eddie says when he picks up. Steve groans.
“Is that how you answer the phone?” he asks.
“Oh, sorry - Munson’s Murders, you pick ‘em we brutalize ‘em.”
“That doesn’t even rhyme,” Steve says. “Wait, no, I only have one more quarter, can you pick me up?”
“Oh, sure, where are you?”
“The mechanic on Elm,” Steve says.
“Vinny’s? I’ll be right there, hold on,” Eddie says. Steve can hear him moving around before he hangs up unceremoniously.
“Rude,” Steve mutters. He looks back inside - the guy running the place is gone again.
Fifteen minutes later, Eddie’s van rolls up with music blasting out of the closed windows. Eddie doesn’t move to get out, so Steve just walks around to the passenger side. He tries the door and it won’t open, so Eddie pushes it from the other side.
“Sorry about that,” Eddie says, turning down the music. Steve hops into the van. “It’s a little sticky.”
“It’s fine, man, how’re you?”
“I’m alright. You need a ride back here when it’s done, or?”
“If you don’t mind? He said it’ll be a couple days.”
“Shit, good luck with that. Vin’s kind of an asshole, he might take longer.”
“Well, he’d better have it done by next Friday, I’m - we’re - I’m supposed to meet Rob in Chicago.”
“Yeah? Big date?” Eddie grins.
“Didn’t she beat that joke out of you yet?” Steve asks waspishly.
“Oh, come on, it’s funny,” Eddie says. Steve narrows his eyes.
“Anyway, she’s got a long weekend and I’m supposed to go see her.”
“I mean,” Eddie pauses. Steve looks over at him - he has one hand on the wheel and the other dangling in front of the armrest, and his eyebrows are furrowed. He’s wearing a cropped shirt under his jacket, and Steve can see the angry red scarring that hasn’t faded yet. It’s on his face, too, but Eddie only complains that his sides are still hurting. “I could drive you, if it’s not ready.”
“I couldn’t ask you to do that,” Steve says.
“You didn’t,” Eddie looks amused. “I’ve got shit I can do for however long you’re there -”
“We were gonna stay until Sunday night,” Steve says. The idea of sharing Robin’s tiny apartment with Eddie has Steve tapping his fingers nervously. “I’m not sure Robin’s place is big enough, though -”
“I can stay with my friends, we’ve got shit we can do for a weekend.”
“I’ll pay for gas?”
“Hell yeah, I’ll call Sam. If your car’s out of the shop by then I’m still coming with, though. Vampire rules.”
“I - what? What are you talking about?”
“Once I’m invited in, I’m in,” Eddie says. He makes some kind of weird ghost sound and wiggles his free hand around in front of Steve’s face, eyes still locked on the road.
“Sure, sure. Just - we can still hang out, some of the time. If you want to.” Steve doesn’t know if Robin’s told Eddie about herself, or their real reason for going to Chicago, but he’s sure she’ll be happy to hang out with him a bit if she has the chance.
“Sounds good! I’ll get you Friday morning?”

Ive been thiking a little about some things:
1.- I dont remember if one of the Rules of Prismo's Wishroom was that you have to arrive on your own to get a wish or you could be invited, but even if thats the case they could still have Farmworld's Enchiridion (because here there is no backstabbing that ends with the book destroyed) to open a portal so Simon gets his wish the right way.
2.- Talking about Farmworld, I cant imagine how Finn, who has been living with a magical snow mom for a couple of months/years by now, would react to seeing a magical ice version of himself in Crossover.
3.- Continuing with Farmworld, we assume that both that and the regular timeline advance at the same time, so if they go into the multiversal adventure with Finn still being a Teenager, that would mean that Farmworld Finn would also be a Teenager when they arrive. But that could open another story, maybe they find him after his parents and brother died/left for some reason and he is on his own with normal Jake and Bartram, maybe when he meets his future wife AKA Huntress Wizard.
4.- If you think about it regular Marceline its indeed stronger than the Star we saw on canon because while the Star has the powers of all the Vampire Council, Marceline has that +VK pure vampire soul. Also idea, this Star was raised by The Empress instead of the VK, because she was the one who wanted to create an Empire on Stakes and in this AU maybe she trained Marceline to take down VK and get the throne. Also that opens the chance to have Betty saying "Empress! You're a bad Mother!"
answering in sections again:
1. I don’t think it’s ever specified if you have to arrive naturally or if you can be invited when it comes to making a wish — the only rule I remember (and there may be others that I forgot, so feel free to correct me if I’m wrong) is that you can only have one wish per person. as far as I know, Magic Simon should be able to make his wish when he’s first invited to the wish cube in order to explain the Snow Queen situation. however, if you do have to get there naturally and you can’t be invited if you’re making a wish, he’d probably just tell Finn, Jake, and Marceline what he was doing so they could help him collect the jewels and open the portal with their own enchiridion.
2. Finn would probably be very weirded out by Ice Finn, and it would also make him consider the whole Snow Queen situation even more. He sees this version of himself who’s absolutely destroyed by the crown, and then he turns around and sees his mom, who’s just… kinda senile and obsessed with her husband. I feel like that’s gotta mess him up, to know that the crown that made Betty obsess over Simon, also turned Finn into a monster in a different reality. if he talks to Snow Betty about it later, she’ll probably be able to explain the way the crown corrupts and what she was like at the start, as well as Ice Finn’s motivations for doing what he’s doing (because it’s not purely malicious, Ice Finn clearly talks about keeping everyone safe with his ice and trying to protect them), but that will be have to come later since they’re pretty busy avoiding the interdimensional cops when the two Finns meet.
3. you are right, and I actually didn’t consider that before, but I definitely should have. in that case, Farmworld Finn probably still has his wife (could be Huntress Wizard, Phoebe, or even Rosalinen from the Puhoy episode) and might have already had Jay, maybe? but probably none of the either children, and Jay would still be a baby, as would Little Destiny. I think Magic Simon and Snow Betty & co would probably still follow someone out to the crater, but in this case it’s more likely to be Farmworld Finn showing them that the crown is already destroyed, at which point they find the Jewel and decide to use it to find another version of the crown, and then Scarab shows up and they gotta book it real fast. Magic Simon may be way more powerful than he has any right to be, but nobody wants to risk him or anyone else getting put in one of those eggs if Scarab manages to hit them at the right moment. Farmworld Finn runs as soon as Scarab arrives, specifically because the Ooo gang told him to and because Magic Simon immediately started having a wizard showdown, and Farmworld Finn ain’t getting involved in wiz biz.
4. you’re RIGHT, she IS! and you’re also right about the Empress probably being the one to take a front role in raising her, because it seems like the VK is definitely following Empress’s plans here. Snow Betty would definitely yell at her and probably chuck a rock at her head, which I doubt would do anything but it would certainly make Snow Betty feel better. Marceline and the Star also get to have a showdown while Vampworld Bonnie watches and realises that maybe perhaps she has a bit of a crush on this alternate Marceline. just a small one. maybe actually a really big one. regardless, I think that VK is still the one with the crown and is ‘in charge’ of the empire, but he’s a little senile and it’s really Empress pulling the strings and mildly grooming the Star as her replacement if she or VK ever falls.

Ghost Helpline Part 12
Zatanna had told Batman her misgivings about the demon girl. Her aura made Zatanna feel small, and dirty. As if she was covered in a layer of dust she could never scrub off.
Her eyes, Zatanna had never seen a demon with golden eyes before. Red and blue, even green but gold? Gold felt like an omen.
The girl reeked of death magic. It was brutally strong. It reminded her when Batman had contacted her about the Lazarus Pit. His expression when she told Batman spoke volumes.
And what the girl got in payment spoke even louder.
Zatanna’s father always had warned her demons were evil.
—- —- —-
Black Canary was busy strangling her husband as Batman went over the minutes.
“Our cameras were unable to pick up much of anything Batman, sorry.”
“It’s fine I remember the demons explanation well enough. First-“
“I CANNOT Believe you could be so stupid! Oliver ! What were you thinking!”
“Sorry sorry!”
Superman pulled a grim smile, “Canary please tell some sense into the man later. If this has taught us anything is that we need to be more prepared.”
“Right we will talk about this later Oliver,” Canary released her husband onto their seat, fuming and lovingly worried.
The green archer picked him self up and turned to the blond magician currently drinking himself to death, “Hey what do you think was up with Konstelacio? Poor girl wasn’t looking too hot.”
Dinha will always admire her husbands caring nature but god sometimes she just wanted to shake him.
Barry released a sigh, “So it want just me then! She really didn’t look to good! She was even acting differently! Want if she hurt? Or in trouble?”
“Bear calm.”
John shuffled threw a stack of paper on Vampire Fog. Bloody hell, for the price of this information the kid really hadn’t asked for much. But the rest of them weren’t going to see it that way.
“She’s -“
“Are you serious? Are you lot seriously worrying about a demon? After what just happened!” Zatanna really couldn’t understand these guys sometimes it was sweet but also incredibly naïve.
“Hey now it was my choice okay I signed the contract with her. We need this cure, ten hours of my life isn’t much in comparison! And I know that so can all of you just stop!” Oliver could understand why they were upset he could. But why couldn’t the see that the girl had cut them some slack… again! In a room of self sacrificing idiot it wouldn’t have been hard to sell her an entire life. Or if her interest in Connor was any indication an entire soul.
“Everyone just hold your bloody horses okay! She’s probably fine looks like she’s got a bit of teleportation sickness that’s all, a magical equivalent of dehydration really. Some rest and food and she’ll be right as rain in no time.”
John said as he fumbled around for their copy of the contract, which was another thing demons typically didn’t let you keep a copy.
Barry vibrated in his seat. Robin, Nightwing, Kid Flash and Superboy (Jon) walked into the meeting. Barry couldn’t concentrate ‘teleportation sickness’, was she teleporting too much? Were … were they hurting her by summoning her? ‘Rest and food’? Was she not resting ? Not eating? What do demons eat? Barry felt his best friend put a hand on his shoulder, and welcome the boys. Right they could talk about this later…. may be Diana would understand.
“Fucking hell,” John was internally screaming as he looked over the contract, “Well then Arrow looks like your contract is air tight- however there is one vague loophole. And a kind one at that.”
Canary shot up in her seat, “What is it?”
John continued, “In the case that contractee cannot fulfill this request another may do so but only at the acceptance of both parties.”
The contract went on for several more pages, goddamn what nutter even wrote this shit?
(Ghost Writer did and made Konstelacio carry around several with her at all times.)
“Wait wait wait,” Wally zipped out, “What happened ? What contract?”
Dinha was too upset for this, nodding to Diana before Oliver opened his mouth to down play the whole thing.
“Well what happened is-“

// Diana wanted to give the girl the benefit of the doubt, she wanted to get to know her. To hear stories of Pandora and make a new sister. So when Diana saw Konstelacio’s entrance she was worried, “What do you want as payment? I’m sure we can work something out.” Smile Diana don’t scare her, she looks hurt.
Konstelacio looked about the room, Diana hid a smile she really hadn’t thought this threw. Well it was alright, Diana tapped absent mindedly on her sword maybe she could convince a trade for sword lesson? A trip to paradise island? May be Hal was right and they should offer a pet ?
The demons eyes flicked between Flash and Green Arrow. Left, right, left, right, left, left, left. “Him,” she pointed at the archer, “I want him.”
The Amazonian got into a defensive stance. No one was taking her friend.
“No!” “No way!” “Arrow no!” “Stop!”
“Hold on hold on now,” John approached the circle, “You can’t expect us to hand over one of our own. You can find someone else to eat.”
“I don’t want to eat him!”
“You want his soul then?”
“Not really I just want him, I try not to dabble in souls too much. It’s too much work.”
“Too much work? Then what would you need a person for ? Humans are really boring you know, lots of work and needy!”
The demon pouted, “I don’t care I want him!”
John pat Oliver on the back as he nodded to Diana mouthing “play along”.
“Oh well I guess I tried, oh well GA say your goodbyes! I’m sure your wife will miss you very much old friend.” He shook his head sadly, “We will have to call your son. Well then girl how would you like to-“
“WAIT!” Konstelacio wobbled, “You’re married.”
Dinha rushed to Oliver’s side as if to shield him, “Yes he is.”
Oliver picked up on the act, “Yes here she is my better half.”
A look ran across the child’s face, “Well then I can’t have you then.” She stared to breathe a little harder.
“What about me?”
“Superboy!”
“If you don’t care about souls then it shouldn’t matter that I am a clone and I’m not married.”
Hera Conner no! What is he-
“Who said that!!!” The demons face began to shift in color, anger steaming out of every pore.
“What?”
“Who said that you don’t have a soul because you’re a clone? You have one! You have one I see it!” She begun to clench her hands into the skirt of her dress, “Where you like it or not, clone or no clone, Superboy you were meant to be here.”
“Oh I -“
“Forget it. I don’t want you anyway. I need the archer,” she begun to pace the inside of the circle, “But I can’t break up a set!”
She turned to face them, “Ten I want ten hours of your life.”
“Deal.” //

While the boys sat and digest what they just heard, Constantine finished reading over the cures recipe.
“Bloody hell are you kidding me it’s an energy potion!”
“What’s an energy potion?”
“The cure Z the cure to fucking Vampires Fog is fucking magic caffeine!! Maybe even real caffeine I dunno I’m not a chemist!”
Zatanna took the offending papers glancing over them. She stopped at some papers that were bound together the first page titled like a story book, “Hunting the Sun”.
“What’s this?”
“That is our historical insight to the disease, or at least some of it. No doubt Konstelacio has a better understanding on everything.” And more than likely has already chosen what side she’s on.
Nightwing stepped up to look at the little booklet with Zatanna, “So what is it what’s the story on Vampires Fog? I assume this might lead us to what caused the out break?”
Clark coughed as he stole a look at Bruce. The Bat was updating the files on the disease, he had an idea and as Clark recounted the explanation Konstelacio had given them he hoped that they were both wrong.
—- —- —-
// Clark watched as Oliver signed an agreement that would lead to an early grave, for being Superman he felt both powerless and grateful.
“Alright so first off Vampire Fog was not a disease released from Pandora’s box. The sickness was man made to eradicate their enemies.
The illness is meant to cause the infected to move and think erratically. Leading them to ether kill them selves or kill each other. If anyone survived this stage the next stage would put them to sleep rendering them defenseless.
One side says Vampires made it to level a kingdom in the aftermath of a botched marriage. Some sort of petty revenge.
Another side says the humans made it. The king was a zealot that refused to marry off his daughter to a kingdom of monsters. So when the wedding day came, the humans infected the whole city.”
After that the conversation had devolved and slowed. Batman didn’t ask any questions it was worrying, when was the last time he slept?
—- —- —-
“What the Boy Scout said, it’s a bloody sodding mess.”
Damian stopped to think about this politically, he stopped to think over all of this not like a Wayne but like an Al Ghul. It didn’t sit right with him, the occurrence of this disease and new information way too much of a coincidence. Someone must have planned it on purpose.
“So we have two completely different stories of origin so what ? We got the cure what does it matter whether the humans or the vampires made the disease?”
Diana fixed the young super with a motherly look, “Knowing about the past can help us protect the future. For example know we know that ether way the illness is something consciously made. Which means someone must have made it and released it on purpose.”
“Right now we just need to figure out why.”
“Tt- isn’t it obvious the vampire scum are behind this if humans are the only ones getting sick?”
Boston, visible thanks to John, stepped in,
”Actually a lot of magical creatures have been infected too! They are just a lot better at hiding it. Especially in the larger cities, word is a whole gaggle of vampires died not to long ago from it.”
Zatanna nodded her head, “It would explain why some creatures have been causing havoc in broad daylight- uh - In front of everyone. Magical creatures usually prefer to keep hidden. But if they were sick and could help it. They would rampage regardless of wether regular humans could see them or not.”
Hal thought about the hundreds of times he had to play mediator over the years. He thought of all the aliens and everything they would do to win. God he hated politics, “so ether a group of humans or vampires did this in order to play the blame game. The human group could easy point at magical creatures and blame them for being out of control monsters. Or vampires could be making everyone sick in order to blame the sickness on humans while also looking like the victim.”
The league talked over political moves as they passed the little booklet around. Batman had sent the magians out to gather information and Boston had come back with a lot of it.
The book finally made its way to Green Arrow, he flipped the pages and stopped at the drawing of a castle. It was an old European style with only two distinctive traits. A tower with circle windows and a circle on the entrance grounds covered in swirls.
// “My home! My castle! My kingdom ! Everything’s changed.”//
After the “fight” with the dragon, Oliver had done some detective work of his own. He needed to know more about this ghost and had found almost nothing. But looking at this drawing, he recognized that castle.
The archer looked up at Batman, his shoulders were hunched taking in and writing down every piece of information he heard. His face was passive and he didn’t even bother to look at his sons. Oliver thought about Batman’s distrust of Konstelacio and in turn Captain Marvel. He thought about what he had heard about the two leaguers fight, swallowed and decided to keep his mouth shut.
Batman didn’t need to know.

Previous Chapter | First Chapter
////////////////////////
“That…is the last time I ever want to fight birds, undead or not,” Astarion grouses, brushing at his armor. “Feathers, everywhere!”
Sable gives a very faint smile as they approach a crossroads. Low, crumbling stone walls line the way down several different roads, but Lassandra makes for a bridge that stretches over a small branch of the Chionthar River. They approach, and watch as the Harper walks right through what looks like a shifting, glowing wall of light.
Sable pauses before it, examining it curiously.
“This must be how they’re shielding this place,” Halsin says, approaching the wall on the right hand side.
“The question is, how are they producing such magic?” Gale replies, on the left. He reaches out and brushes his fingers through the light.
“Does it matter?” Karlach asks, looking over her shoulder. “Let’s go already, I hate it out here.”
Sable nods in agreement and steps through the curtain.
Immediately, the air feels lighter on the other side. The landscape hasn’t changed much, unfortunately, it’s still dead and twisted, but the shift in the atmosphere is a welcome one. It’s much less oppressive, there’s no feeling of being watched…at least, from things they can’t see. Several guards are watching them walk across the bridge warily, their hands on their weapons. More than one raise crossbows in their direction.
“You all! Keep your hands off your weapons,” a Harper woman calls. “Who are you?”
“Easy, Elifer,” Lassandra says, stepping in front of Sable and their group. “These people helped save our group out there. They’re here at our invitation.”
“You overstep, Lassandra,” the woman, Elifer, says with a frown. “You know that she is the one who decides who stays.”
“Well, she certainly sounds important, whoever she is,” Astarion murmurs. Sable resists the urge to elbow him. And also laugh.
“Come,” the Harper guard says, side-eyeing the vampire, “she’ll want to meet you.”
Casting a look around at her comrades, Sable starts to follow Elifer towards a large, empty fountain in the middle of the inn’s courtyard. They approach a woman whose back is turned to them as she speaks with another Harper.
And when Sable sees this woman, even from the back, she stops dead, her eyes widening.
“Jaheira!”
The leader of the Harpers turns around at the new voice calling her name, just in time to catch Sable, who’s thrown herself into her arms. “What-?!” Jaheira’s eyes widen in shock. “Sable! Sable, what are you doing here and not in Baldur’s Gate?!”
“T-The…the attack by the mind-flayers,” Sable all but sobs into the elder druid’s neck. “I-I got caught, Jaheira, and they…they…!”
Jaheira curses under her breath and wraps her arms tightly around the young elf. “Come now, little one. I know your road must have been long and painful, but now is not the time for tears,” she murmurs gently.
“She’s right, kitten,” Astarion says softly, stepping over and rubbing her back. “I promise, you can cry all you need later tonight, but-”
“Who are you to interrupt?” Jaheira snaps, glaring. “A vampire. What’s more, an infected vampire. Let me guess, you’re one of Szarr’s ilk, aren’t you?”
Astarion bristles, glaring outright at her. “Not anymore,” he all but hisses. “He will never control me again!”
“Perhaps not, but that tadpole in your brain will,” she retorts, and steps in front of Sable protectively. One of her hands glows green, and roots and vines suddenly grow knee-high up Astarion’s legs, trapping him where he stands. “I do not know how you all have kept your minds, but I cannot gamble on how long that will remain the case.”
“Jaheira, if I may.” Halsin steps forward, his hands up in a gesture of peace. “I am Halsin, recently Archdruid of the Emerald Grove. I am not infected, and I vouch for all of them.”
Jaheira studies him for a long moment. “Halsin. I remember hearing your name after the battle, all those years ago. We did not meet, but I have learned of your heroism, and your talent for healing.”
He smiles faintly. “You honor me. In truth, I only wish I could have done more, back then. It’s one of the reasons I am here now: to finally put an end to this curse. The other reason, of course, is helping these people to get rid of their parasite.”
“Wait!” A young voice calls out from across the courtyard. “Don’t hurt them! These are the ones who saved us back in the Grove!” Mol runs up, looking between Astarion, Halsin, and Jaheira. “Her, especially!” She points to Sable. “She saved two of my friends, one from some harpies, and another from a mad druid with a snake! I’d pretty much trust her with my life!”
Jaheira looks at Astarion sharply. “And this one. He helped?”
“Sure did! Well, against the harpies, anyway. Sable did the talkin’ with Kagha.”
“Of course she did,” Astarion says with a shocking amount of patience for him. “She leads us, so she does the talking, negotiating, that sort of thing. It’s worked out well, so far.” He smiles as Sable looks at him, wiping at her tears. “My kitten can put anyone at ease.”
“...Your tone is awfully familiar, vampire,” Jaheira says, her voice low, dangerous.
“It should be, considering we’re lovers,” the vampire replies with a smirk.
In the back, Wyll and Gale both smack their hands to their faces at the same time.
Jaheira tenses and opens her mouth, but Sable puts her hand on the older druid’s arm. “It’s all right,” she says softly, seriously. “I trust him. He hasn’t hurt me, and I know he won’t.”
Astarion’s breath catches in his throat. Sable smiles to him, soft and warm and something aches in his chest but it’s a good ache. He’s still getting used to the thought of good aches.
Jaheira sighs, but lowers her hand. The glow of nature magic fades, and the roots and vines retract, leaving the pale elf free once more. He immediately walks over to Sable and pulls her into his arms, laying his cheek on her hair.
Halsin gives a fond look at the scene, then clears his throat, drawing the other woman’s attention.”I believe we have much to discuss. I assume we have leave to stay for a time?”
She nods curtly. “For now, yes. But know this: if any of them start to turn, I will not hesitate to put them down.”
“Good,” Lae’zel replies in approval.
Jaheira glances at her in surprise, before she gives the gith a nod and looks back to Halsin. “Well. You are right, there is much to talk about. Get yourselves settled, and then…join me for a drink.” She turns and strides back to the Inn.
Astarion wants to ask Sable how she’s doing, but he doesn’t get the chance. Karlach all but trips up next to them, her eyes wide. “Soldier, you know Jaheira?! The Jaheira?!”
“I do not see what is so exciting about one woman,” Lae’zel says to the star-struck tiefling.
“Or why it’s so impressive that Sable knows her,” Shadowheart adds, crossing her arms.
“Jaheira is an absolute legend!” Karlach says earnestly. “Years ago-over a century now-she was part of a group that saved Baldur’s Gate from Sarevok, a Bhaalspawn trying to drag the city into a war.”
“Oh, yes, I remember,” Astarion muses. “Chaos gripped the city. You could barely turn the corner without finding a corpse. Fun times.”
“My mum used to tell us stories about them,” Karlach continues, “the legends who protected the city from evil. She said Jaheira was a powerful druid. Tough. Adamant.”
“Not was,” Sable murmurs. “She still is.”
“And you know her! Come on, tell me how!” Karlach begs.
“Perhaps now is not the time, my fiery friend,” Gale says softly, almost putting a hand on Karlach’s shoulder before pulling away. “Sable seems like she needs a moment. Besides…” He points off towards a building across the courtyard, where they hear the unmistakable clang clang of a hammer hitting metal.
“Holy shit! DAMMON!” Karlach cries, and all but sprints toward the smith.
“Thank you, Gale,” Sable says to the wizard, who smiles to her softly.
“Not a problem. Come on, everyone, let’s go get rooms! I for one am going to relish having a proper bed!”
“Chk, you are too soft, wizard,” Lae’zel says, but follows the man into the building. Shadowheart follows. Wyll heads after Karlach, wanting to know if he could help.
Halsin pauses, looking at his fellow druid. “Will you be all right, Sable?” he asks softly. “I can stay, if you need me.”
“I have her, big man,” Astarion replies, giving her a gentle squeeze.
“I know you do,” Halsin soothes. “But…well. If she needs anything, just call. I’ll come running.” He picks up his pack and heads into the inn.
“Honestly. As if I don’t know what you need,” he grumbles. He presses a soft kiss to her forehead, then bends and scoops her into his arms. “Come on, my kitten. We’ll go find a moment of peace and quiet.”
“Thank you. I can walk, you don’t have to carry me,” she mumbles to his chest.
“I’m aware,” he replies, not making any movement to put her down. “But I have you. Besides, I won’t always offer something this, ugh, nice. So take advantage while you can.”
Her lips twitch faintly, before she presses a kiss to the bit of his collarbone that shows through his armor. “I never want to take advantage of you.”
That beautiful ache thumps in his chest again, and he huffs, but his crimson eyes are so warm. “You know what I meant.”
She can’t help but smile. “I do, yes. Thank you, Astarion.” Her eyes close, and she relaxes into his arms.
He finds a quiet corner of the camp, settling down onto a rock near the river, his kitten cradled on his lap. Everything is quiet, save for the gentle burbling of the passing current and the distant murmurs of conversing Harpers. He sits there with his lover, shielding her from anyone wanting to ask questions, letting her regroup.
He wishes, idly, that this was the end of the road, that he and his kitten had no more danger ahead of them.
He sighs softly. If wishes were dragons…

🎃Happy Halloween🎃 here's somes doodles and lore stuff about my Werewolf Felis/Vampire Graha au below
A bunch of lore facts
-Vampire Graha is a lot more like Exarch compared to Scion graha
-he’s very preserved and has a lot resentment towards himself being a vampire
-he lives in a lonely mansion in the middle of a cursed forest
-he refuses to drink human blood and only drinks the animals
-travelers would go through these woods to get to a trading city in the other side and would rather or have no choice but to face the dangers because the safer way is more expensive (which means they can’t afford guards or much protection)
Felis was a theif escaping authority and escaped into the woods, unfortunately she came upon a werewolf during the full moon and was nearly killed.
-Graha saved her and nursed her back to health, but couldn’t help her werewolf problem she eventually leaves saying she’ll find a cure on her own
-Graha did develop a bit of a crush on Felis during her first stay in the mansion and half wanted her to stay, but he accepted that she wasn't meant to stay.
-a few years later they meet again and she seem more hostile towards him and had a different look and attitude.
-she now lives as a lone werewolf in the woods and is abit of a menace attacking travelers and stealing things mostly food and clothes since she always damages her old ones.
cw: dead bird on the first page
made a short comic of their second meeting.

new fic teaser: Eve Ducell
When she was done obsessing over herself, Eve jumped out of her car and headed back into the Mystic Grill. Why not take a man before she leaves the city? She was hungry. She swayed her hips as she entered the bar, searching for her handsome victim of the night.
Her sights landed on a pretty blonde man sitting at a booth alone. His legs were stretched wide apart and his back rested against the chair. He possessed soft features; clean-shaven skin, a wide nose, plump lips, though his eyes beheld something sharp within them. His hand was stretched out on the table, his glass at the tip of his fingers. The man appeared to be watching the bar as she was.
Eve enjoyed the confident ones, the ones that think they’re above repricussion. Breaking them down was the most satisfying — and blonde men were her favourite. There was something about them.
“Hello,” she purred, sliding into the booth opposite him.
When he met her gaze, something glimmered in his eye. “Hello again.”
Her head tilted to its side. “Again?”
“Yes — am I that easy to forget?” the man asked.
“You certainly don’t look it, but I am very forgetful. How did you meet me?”
The man rubbed his face and chuckled to himself. “We met briefly at a Burlesque show in the ‘50s. Tell me, how is it that you’re looking even more delicious now than you did back then?” As he said this, his eyes wandered down to her body, lingered on her cleavage, then travelled back up at her eyes that were fixed on his.
Fuck, she thought. He’s a vampire. But she was here now, so she may as well have a little fun with him. She’ll eat later.
“Ah, so we didn’t sleep together?”
“Not yet.”
“You’re presumptuous.” she accused.
“What can I say? I know what I want.”
“You’re still here?” Both of their heads turned to the sound of the voice. There stood a distraught-looking Damon, glaring at Eve with a man she didn’t recognise standing behind him. “I thought you’d be long gone by now.”

Vampire Chronicles Verse Bio
Birthdate: March 16 , 1875
Abilities: Longevity due to dormant vampire blood
Before:
Wilhelmina Marie Murray was born to Alexander and Elizabeth Murray in London, England. Alexander was a German lawyer and her mother was an English tutor. Mina grew up in a healthy middle class home until her father disappeared when she was sixteen. She and her mother believe he was murdered, but others in the extended family believe that he just left, causing a huge schism in the family.
Unknown to everyone, including the muse, her father was a former hunter and was murdered by Dracula after his attempt to kill Dracula failed years ago. Dracula was wounded to the point of near death, and took years to recover. He hid the body and started keeping tabs on Mina and her mother.
Four years later, Mina, 20, is engaged to Jonathan Harker, an English lawyer who leaves for Transylvania to help a mysterious nobleman with property that he’d like to purchase in England. Of course, that man is Dracula. After witnessing some weird shit, Dracula keeps Jonathan as a bloodbag until Jonathan is able to escape. He’s found on the border of Romania , sick and babbling insanity. Mina goes to the border to get him back, and she nurses him to health and they marry.
Soon after, Mina’s best friend Lucy becomes ill with some sort of wasting sickness and dies in a matter of months. A specialist named Abraham Van Helsing is called to investigate and deduces through obscure text he’s an expert in that Lucy has been being transformed into a vampire. Unbeknownst to Mina, her husband, Van Helsing and Lucy’s three suitors track Lucy down after she’s been transformed and kill her to protect the victims she’s killing.
Dracula moves in on Mina after Lucy is dead. While her husband is sleeping next to her, Dracula forces Mina to drink his blood and consumes hers, starting the process all over again. Thralled into not saying anything, Mina suffers the same sickness as her friend, forcing the others to rush for a cure so she doesn’t suffer the same fate as Lucy. They deduce if they can kill Dracula for good before she can feed, she’ll be cured. They set off for Transylvania while Mina is rapidly turning and growing more and more thirsty.
They arrive in Transylvania just before Mina’s fully transformed. Van Helsing keeps her in a holy circle of fire, relics, and garlic when Dracula comes for her. Her husband tries to defend her but he is caught and murdered by Dracula, while she is helpless to leave the circle or save him. The others track Dracula back up to his castle where they kill him while he sleeps, behead him, sets him on fire, and spreads his ashes at a crossroads. Mina is cured, but she is now traumatized, a widow, and unknown to the others, miscarried her and Jonathan’s baby.
During
Mina is taken by Van Helsing to a hunting sanctuary that's disguised as a nunnery to help her train when he realizes that she's turned her back to society and wants to go into hunting. Mina becomes a monster hunter who specializes in killing vampires while they sleep. She learns quickly that holy water, garlic and the rest of the old rules were never something that worked. Dracula just pretended they did because he enjoyed the mind games.
By the time Mina meets any characters she is deeply traumatized by the things she'd one and incredibly lonely. She's also having to come to terms with the idea that vampires are sentient beings instead of chaotically evil psychopaths that she's been telling herself for years that they are (Though some still count). Her own fucked up morals may align a little too closely to her enemies for her own liking. Especially to the vampires that only kill criminals.
Happy Hunting!

Chapter 64
It’s difficult, though, especially with the specter of Cyrus breathing down Hudson’s and my necks. And why he wants us off the chessboard so badly.
I kind of have the same opinion about all adults in YA novels who are obsessed with teenage girls. Like… bro. Chris Hanson is here to see you.
Heather still hasn’t texted me since I told her not to come to Katmere for a visit, and that hurts even more today. I thought maybe she would break her silence to wish me a happy birthday, but she hasn’t. She is really pissed.
I know that Heather is barely a character… but still. It’s barely been a year since Grace’s parents died. Did it ever occur to Heather that her friend is going through a lot of shit?
It isn’t until much later, back in my own room with Macy, that I realize Hudson never gave me my second present.
Chapter 64 summary: Two days have passed since they escaped back to the school. In that time, in between cramming for finals, Grace worries about everything that’s going on recently.
She goes down to another study group in Hudson’s room, only for them to throw her a surprise party for her 18th birthday. Most of the chapter is glossed-over party stuff, which I’m not going to get into. Jaxon gives her the Klimt that was hanging in his room in the first book, and Grace says that it’s way too much.
Chapter 65
“This,” he snarls, right before he slams his mouth down on mine.
Chapter 65 summary: Grace aces two of her finals, but she still feels like she’s going to flunk her history test. Jaxon had promised to tutor her, but things have been feeling more and more weird between them recently. So she asks Hudson for help instead.
They meet up at the front doors, and he says that it’s so nice outside, they should go out and study instead. He gives her his jacket, so that she doesn’t have to go back to her room to get her own.
They go outside where they talk about history for exactly two seconds before they start fighting again. I don’t give a shit about what they’re fighting about, because I don’t give a shit about them.
Hudson goes to leave, but Grace stops him. He tells her that she’ll regret it if she doesn’t move out of his way. When she challenges him as to what he’d even do to her, he kisses her.
Chapter 66
They send flames racing down my spine, burning through my body. They melt me from the inside, turn my blood to lava and my knees to ashes and still it’s not enough.
Please let the record state that we got two goddamned pages about how kissing Hudson made her feel.
TWO.
FULL.
PAGES.
After another minute of squeezing, he opens his hand and, where there once was a chunk of carbon, there is now a diamond—and not just any diamond. This one has to be at least five carats.
You know what? Fucking fine. Vampires can squeeze a rock so hard that a perfectly cut and polished diamond comes out? WHY THE FUCK NOT.
“You’re very, very welcome.” His grin turns softer, more intimate, more…vulnerable than I’ve ever seen it. At least until he reaches for my backpack and says, “Now, about those Witch Trials…”
Chapter 66 summary: Anyway, after those aforementioned pages where they finally stop kissing each other, Grace says some stuff about wanting to get to know Hudson better. That she feels bad that he knows everything about her, but what little she does know is tied around his shitty father.
He says that he has a second present for her, and invites her to pick out an ordinary rock. She does, and then he squeezes the rock so hard that a goddamned perfectly cut and polished diamond pops out. THAT MIGHT AS WELL HAPPEN, TOO.
Hudson then reminds her that they should get back to studying for her history final.
Chapter 67
“I need to go home this weekend.” He takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly. “And I want you to come with me.”
Chapter 67 summary: Grace finishes with her finals. Outside of her last classroom, she runs into Flint, who was waiting for her. He invites her to go flying with him, which she does. Most of this chapter is nothing but “Plot? What plot? We’re on page 361/874.” Then in the literal last line, he says that he needs to go home that weekend, and wants Grace to come with him.

It seems to me that Olrox had been tracking down Julia for awhile and it was pretty abrupt from Richter. In his point of view it just seems bizarre that she’s sending him away across the sea to another country to a very distant relative. Julia is very short with Richter and just wants him on that damn boat away from the danger knowing Olrox is after them. But Olrox was only after her and probably knew Richter was hiding in those crates but only was there to kill Julia that’s it. Richter was only collateral damage as he had no vendetta against Richter at all.
He already got his revenge and could’ve killed Richter and ended the entire Belmont bloodline but didn’t. Instead he knelt to his level and talked to Richter like equals and tells him his reason for killing his mother and emphasized with Richter’s feelings and giving Richter a chance to grow up as an adult so if they meet again Richter can actually put on a fair fight with Olrox instead of Olrox killing a frightened and helpless child.
Back in the abbey I think that the vampire Messiah wants Richter in some way to further plan to devour the sun and wasn’t going to kill him but knocking him around because she’ll probably need him later. Mizrak is just an ordinary man with no special abilities and had a high rate of dying and Erzsabet was probably going to kill Mizrak because he has no use to her and would’ve dispose of him quickly if Olrox didn’t whisk him away.
I don’t think he’ll kill Richter and is pretty despondent in the end of season 1. He’ll probably go to the local pubs trying to think what’s his next move and crawl back to Richter because like it or not they have to work together and stop the cycle of vengeance.
Question
I could count the ways Olrox refuses to kill Richter, but I'm still on the fence if it's because of morality, a past mixed with sentimentality, or if it's manipulation.
The first seven minutes on YT makes it really obvious (and most commenters notice too) that he was waiting by the dock for them. That he waited for Julia to send Richter on his way. That he used a scare tactic on Richter to avoid a cycle of vengeance. That he empathized with Richter and let him go to the boat to Europe.
When he arrives in Europe, he doesn't go searching for Richter. In fact, the only time he does look for him is to deliver inside intel and a plan to stop the "vampire messiah".
However
In the finale, he ONLY saves Mizrak. This kind of points to feelings on Richter not being substantial, but circumstantial.
So, now that Olrox thinks all is lost... Would he be alright with killing Richter?

The Cullens don’t value human life, or: Carlisle, honey, I’m so sorry
So, Carlisle is in a miserable situation.
He was forcibly turned into a vampire under traumatic circumstances, and became a cannibalistic demon. Against all odds he discovered that he didn’t actually have to kill people: however, he was still lonely. Fast forwards a few lonely years, he found a BFF and homoerotic academic in Aro, and spent decades trying to persuade him to his diet. Failed. Decided to travel the world in search of likeminded - failed.
There’s no one.
Fast forwards to 1918, Carlisle has spent centuries trying to get someone, anyone, to understand this seemingly simple concept. Don’t eat people, please, it’s literally the only thing Carlisle asks. And he’s still asking too much.
We know how history then unfolded itself - Carlisle was going to let the Masens die, as countless patients had before, and then Elizabeth Masen said “nu uh, not my son he won’t!”, and that was the kick in the butt Carlisle needed to create his own companion. Converting others had failed, but maybe a brand new vampire who has never known anything different and who looks to Carlisle for guidance will follow the diet.
And it works. Edward follows Carlisle’s diet. A few years later Carlisle repeats the experiment, now he’s in a coven of three vampires who are actually doing the diet. What a world. I’m sure he was walking around in a daze for a solid portion of that time.
The coven grows, soon Carlisle has a whole squad of vegetarians, and even a cousin squad. (Although since the Denali sister went for the diet because they wanted to have sex with the same men multiple times, I can only picture Carlisle’s delight upon finding them quickly turning into a thousand yard stare.)
Anyway, Carlisle has what he always wanted, let there be happiness galore.
Unfortunately, none of the Cullens actually care about human life.
Off the top of my head:
Edward left Carlisle for years. This by itself is a dealbreaker, he had all the love and support he could ever ask for, and turned his back on it because he’d rather kill people. Killing rapists wasn’t even his first instinct, at first he killed homeless junkies, since no one would miss them. He only turned to rapists because junkies taste awful. He turned back not because he learned the error of his ways, but because life wasn’t fulfilling. He has learned nothing: when we meet him in 2005, he would have eaten Bella and the Biology class if it weren’t for Carlisle, contemplates killing all the Quileutes, and in Volterra he would have gone on a massacre, again if it wasn’t for Carlisle. This guy doesn’t care about human life, and he never becomes a better person. He abstains from human blood for Carlisle, to feel like less of a monster, and because it plays into his superiority complex.
Esme makes it very clear she’s fine with Bella’s untimely death. She’d let Bella die to satisfy Edward’s thirst, or to keep him in Forks. Her vote for Bella to live has nothing to do with Bella, and she later gives Edward implicit approval to eat her if he wants. It’s additionally damning that Edward isn’t at all surprised by her behavior. She does the diet for her family.
Rosalie used not wanting to move to a new place and start over as an argument in favor of killing Bella. She later places her bet that Bella will be eaten in the meadow. She adheres to the diet better than anyone in the family, but she doesn’t actually care for the individual human life, not even when it’s an innocent girl. Her main reason for following the diet is that she wants to be as close to being human as possible, and maneating demon is about as far from human as you can get.
Emmet’s response to Edward having a singer is “Treat yourself, bro!” and when Bella’s becoming a vampire, he makes a bet about how many people she’ll kill. He could not care less. He follows the diet for Rosalie’s sake.
Alice lives the way she does because her visions told her that she should live with the Cullens. She cares about Bella because Bella is her barbie, and she treats her like an accessory rather than a person. When push comes to shove she brings Bella to Volterra, knowing what the Volturi do to humans who know the secret. She never appears to care about humans for the sake of humans, at one point we see her try to help Jasper control his thirst: “It helps if you think of them as people!”
Jasper’s gift is essentially a shock collar that made a human diet unsustainable for him.
Bella chooses vampirism, knowing that there’s a chance she’ll kill people. When told of Jasper and Emmet’s newborn Bella body count bet, she is not at all concerned. And the thirst is never a problem for her, she doesn’t have to struggle to stay on the diet. She eats animals because she’s a Cullen, Cullens eat animals. Duh.
(I know this is a bit reductive, I do have far more to say on each of these, but I’m trying to be a succinct person)
They’re not doing the human diet for altruistic reasons.
This is the thing that makes Carlisle a tragic character to me.
Loneliness is his whole thing, and all he ever wanted in a companion someone who shared his ideals, who would value human life as he does. What he ends up with is the Cullens, who all believe they’re amazing people for not eating people and morally superior (they won’t say it aloud, but- well they’ll absolutely say it aloud. And they do.) to other vampires, but they don’t actually care at all.
We see it in Rosalie, Emmet, and Jasper deciding to kill Bella in Midnight Sun, we see it in- well, I just wrote a bunch of examples above. We see it again and again, these people care about human life up until the second it’s inconvenient for them to do so.
And all Carlisle can do is live in intense double think denial where his family is filled with wonderful people who care about humans so much, but he also has to make them go to their victim’s funerals in a desperate, and very telling, bid to make them understand that humans are people.
The whole point of the Cullens is that after centuries of loneliness Carlisle finally has a family of vampires who share his ideals, but when they don’t actually care-
Well.
Carlisle, honey, I’m so sorry.
#i have a million asks in my inbox and tonight i'm answering none of them#shoutout to the person who asked me about whether Edward's interest in Bella will wane now that she's a vampire#that's a huge question requiring a huge answer with so many book quotes I scream just thinking about it#i'll answer you one day#some day#before covid is over#also i do have far more thoughts on jasper but i try to keep my posts short if you people can believe it#i mean i have far more thoughts on all of this#but i saw a post that just sort of set this whole thing off#carlisle cullen#alice cullen#edward cullen#esme cullen#rosalie hale#jasper hale#emmet cullen#bella swan#twilight meta#twilight#twilight renaissance

A Modest Proposal (Alcina x Fem!Reader)
Premise: You finally muster up the courage to propose to Alcina Dimitrescu. But will everything go as planned?
Note: Even though we technically don't know Alcina's middle name, I gave her Carmilla as her middle name in homage to another beloved Sapphic vampire! :)
Warnings: blood. Steamy scenes her and there, but nothing NSFW.
As you take the last steps towards your mistress’s chambers you have to stop for a minute and take some deep breaths. The other maids had taken to giving you concerned glances all morning. Your nerves had been so fraught that a plate had slipped out of your sweaty hands and broken. You didn’t mind the stares. To everyone else, this is just an ordinary day. Not for you.
Today is the day you are going to propose to Alcina Dimitrescu.
However, you have some errands to run first. For that you are going to have to ask Alcina, ironically enough, for the rest of the day off.
You steel yourself, slap your cheeks to banish any last nerves and knock on the door.
“Come in,” you hear an elegant, mature voice call.
Lady Dimitrescu is seated at her secretary, lining up accounts for the month. Her brow is furrowed in concentration. Upon clearing your throat, she takes off her reading glasses and when she sees you a smile bursts across her face that takes your breath away.
After a year and a half of courting, you could still not believe that this beautiful woman was your lover. You take in her laugh lines and dimples, her slightly puffy cheeks that she hated but you found adorable, her carmine lips freshly painted, and her blue eyes with a corona of gold around them that you found absolutely mesmerizing.
She takes your hand and kisses your knuckles. “Yes, iubirea mea, what can I do for you?”
“I would like to take the rest of the day off if that’s alright with you,” you say in a rush.
She blinks, surprised, but then smiles. “I don’t mind. After all, you’ve been working so hard lately. Have you cleared it with the head maid?”
“Yes-” Before you can say any more, in an instant Alcina has bent down and taken you in her arms with your back against her ample bosom. You feel hot breath on your neck and her curls tickle your ears as she whispers, “We could spend the whole day together. How would you like that, pet?”
You find yourself lost for words as she moves your uniform collar and begins kissing your neck. You lean back and sigh. Her perfume is intoxicating. She moves one hand to your hip and the other begins to peel back your skirt.
You would rather do nothing more than to make love to Alcina on your day off, however there are other matters more pressing. It takes great self control to take her hands off of you. A look of hurt crosses her face. You turn around and give her a chaste kiss and hold her face in your hands. “Forgive me, darling. I would love to but I have some errands to run. May I see you later? Dinner, the usual time?”
Her expression brightens and she kisses you deeply. “I’ll look forward to tonight then,” she says, tucking a curl behind your ear.
You can only nod and when you turn around, Alcina gives you a playful slap on the bum. You look back at her and she gives you a devilish grin.
Closing the door behind you, you can’t help but let out a chuckle. Alcina’s libido, it seemed, could never be satiated. As you take a step you wince and rub your behind. That woman honestly didn’t know her own strength sometimes.
You wrap your scarf around you as you leave the castle grounds. It may be the dead of winter but you find yourself sweating from nerves. The Duke catches your eye and waves you over.
“Ah, Miss Y/N! Just the lady I wanted to see. Your package just arrived.”
You feel your breath catch but nod silently. He turns around and begins rummaging around in the store. You turn around so as to not catch a glimpse of the Duke’s massive behind and you freeze. Alcina is at the window enjoying her morning cigarette. And she is staring directly at you.
You whisper to him, “Wait.” Alcina is still looking at you as she’s taking a drag off her cigarette. Smoke wreathes her gorgeous face. You give her a nervous wave. She waves back and then hears the phone ring. With a grimace, she puts out her cigarette and steps back inside.
You turn back to the Duke. “All right. It should be fine now.”
The Duke smiles and then presents you with a box slightly larger than a normal engagement ring box. With bated breath you open the box and behold the engagement ring that you have bought for Alcina.
Getting the ring had not been easy. When the Duke had told you the price for an engagement ring, especially a custom-made ring for Alcina, you nearly cried with frustration. After all, the main purpose of you working at Castle Dimitrescu was to send back money for your aging parents. When you and Lady Dimitrescu had first begun courting and she learned of your family’s financial situation she had offered to send them money herself each month so you didn’t have to work. However, your pride would not allow it. Any money sent back to your home, you wanted to come from your labors.
Getting enough money for your parents while also raising money to buy the ring had been a long and arduous process. You had begun taking up extra shifts to make up the money. There had been many nights where you had fallen asleep on the sofa with a feather duster in your hand and Alcina had to scoop you up in her arms and carry you to bed herself. But looking in at the ring within the box, you found it had been all worth it. The ring is beautiful, around 14 karats of gold inlaid with rubies forming the House Dimitrescu crest. You are sure Alcina would love it. It had taken time to get the exact measurements of her ring finger. While Alcina was asleep, you had taken her left hand often and studied her ring finger making sure the ring fit snug but not too tight. To get the crest right, you had taken to drawing it over and over again in your off time before you had a drawing good enough to show the Duke to have it commissioned.
You look up and grin at the Duke with tears in your eyes. “Duke, it's beautiful!” you breathe. “Alcina- er, Lady Dimitrescu will love it!”
He pats your hand as you slip the box into your apron pocket. “Not a problem at all, m’dear! Good luck tonight!”
With that done, you head back to the castle. You practically skip back to the gates, taking out the box every so often and peeking inside. Your joy dissipates when you realize what the next item on your to do list is.
Asking for Lady Dimitrescu’s daughters’ blessing.
When you walk in, you actually run into them getting ready to go out. Bela smiles at you as she adjusts Daniela’s cowl on her traveling cloak. “Y/N! Good to see you! Mother told us you had taken the day off.”
Cassandra pipes up, “We were just going out to go hunting! Want to come with us?”
“Actually I wanted to talk to you all about something,” you say as you look around the foyer for any sign of the girls’ mother. “Is there somewhere private we can all talk? Preferably somewhere your mother doesn’t frequent?”
Daniela’s eyes glitter mischievously. “Oooh, keeping secrets are we? Come on, I know a perfect place we can hide!”
Daniels leads the pack to the library. “Mother usually practices her singing around this time,” she says over her shoulder. “So there’s not a chance she’ll overhear anything you say.”
Sure enough, you hear Lady Dimitrescu’s voice singing an elaborate coloratura from upstairs. Perfect.
Daniela’s hands run over the panels in the wall. “Now where is it….Aha there it is!” Daniela picks up a loose panel on the wall and puts it to the side. She steps in and backons the rest of you forward.
There is no light in this room save for torches every couple meters. The room can’t be much more than 6 feet tall, so there was no way Lady Dimitrescu could fit in properly. “We used to hide from Mother here all the time as children,” Daniela winks conspiratorially at you.
Cassandra begins jumping up and down excitedly. “Now what’s the secret? Tell us! Tell us!”
You take a deep breath and then let it out. “All right...Tonight I am planning on proposing to your mother and-”
You are cut off by the girls’ cries of jubilation. Daniela runs over and gives you a big hug. Bela has burst into happy tears. Cassandra continues jumping up and down and chanting, “Bonus mom! Bonus mom!”
You can’t help but laugh. “Does that mean I have your blessing?”
“Of course!” they yell in unison.
Bela says excitedly, “The ring! Do you have a ring?”
Blushing furiously you nod and take out the black velvet box and open it. They “ooh” and “aah” and take turns looking at it before they finally relinquish it back to you. As you put the box back into your pocket, you say, “Well girls, I need to start getting ready. Please make sure not to do anything to arouse your mother’s suspicions. I want it to be a surprise.”
The girls nod their assent, but Cassandra interjects, “Do you need help getting ready? We want you to be looking your best for tonight!”
Everyone enthusiastically agrees and you can’t help but smile fondly at the girls. You may be closer in age to them, but ever since you had begun courting their mother, you loved them like they were your own children. “All right, if you insist.”
The girls cheer and Cassaandra takes you by the hand and leads you back to your room to get ready.
15 minutes before your meeting with Lady Dimitrescu you take a look in the mirror. The girls truly outdid themselves on your makeover. Daniela had curled your hair and it hung in ringlets over your shoulders. Cassandra had given you one of her dresses, a red column dress that was backless with a plunging neckline. This wasn’t the sort of thing you would normally wear, but you had to admit the silhouette was very flattering, highlighting your natural curves. The best part: it had pockets large enough to hide the ring box! Bela was on makeup duty, giving you wingtips sharper than Alcina’s claws and a smokey eye. You spritz on some rosewater perfume and head out. As you pass the hall mirror, you consider putting your hair up in a chignon but think better of it. Alcina had always liked your hair best when it was down.
When you are at the door to Alcina’s chambers you take a deep breath before knocking on the door. “Come in, iubirea mea,” Alcina’s voice purrs within.
You head inside and Alcina has her back turned on you, lighting the candelabras at the table she has set up for you two. “I’ve needed this, my love. You should’ve heard what that fool Heisenberg-”
She stops and stares at you. You can’t help but feel self-conscious as she takes you in. She finally sets the candlestick she was using to light the others back in the candelabra and heads purposefully towards you. She scoops you up in her arms and kisses you deeply, burying her hands in your curls. She breaks the kiss and strokes your cheek. “You look beautiful,” she says breathlessly.
You can’t help but blush at the compliment. “So do you,” you reply as she sets you down gently, praying she doesn’t hear the box rustling in your skirts. She takes your hand and leads you to your seat where she pulls out your chair for you. You take her hand that is resting on the back of your seat and kiss it.
Dinner proceeds as normal at first. You listen to her talk about her day, which takes your mind off the proposal for a bit. Then she puts it at the forefront of your mind when she says, “I saw you talking to the merchant this morning. Did you have anything special coming in?”
Your mouth goes dry. How do you respond to that? “Oh, no. He just wanted to chat. You know how he gets!”
Alcina purses her lips but nods eventually. “Indeed.”
Awkward silence settles over you for a bit. Then she begins talking again, this time ranting about Heisenberg and you almost sigh in relief. This is easy. You just have to listen and agree with whatever she says.
“And then do you know what that fool called me? He called me a ‘simp’ for Mother Miranda! I didn’t even know what that was. I had to ask my daughters and when they told me of course I was infuriated.”
“Uh-huh.”
“I mean, a simp? Me? Ha! Imagine! He’s just jealous because he wishes that he had half the devotion that I have for her!”
“Uh-huh.”
“Do you think I’m a simp?”
“Uh-huh.”
She glares at you from across the table. Damn. She’s caught you.
You stumble over your words trying to correct your stupid blunder. “I mean, no! Of course you’re not a simp! Where would he get that idea?”
Alcina leans across the table and takes your chin in her hand, forcing you to look directly into her eyes. “Am I boring you, pet?” she asks, a dangerous edge to her voice.
“Er, no! No, I'm having a great time!” you say, smiling stupidly at her.
Alcina lets go of your chin and settles back in her chair, crossing her arms. Her stormy expression can’t disguise the look of hurt on her face. “You were the one that suggested we meet tonight, darling. I can’t see why you would want to if you’re not going to at least attempt to be present with me.”
“I’m sorry, darling. I-”
She turns away from you, her large hat blocking her expression. “Maybe you should go.” She gets up and crosses the room to open the door.
No, no, God, no this can’t be happening. This is your worst nightmare. You can’t let her open the door, you just can’t.
You practically fall to one knee. “Alcina!”
“What?” she snaps, turning her head toward you. Her expression softens as she sees that you are down on one knee with the box open. Her chest rises and falls rapidly as she says so quietly you have to lean to hear it, “Draga mea, what are you doing?”
You had a big speech prepared for this. But everything else has gone to hell in a handbasket, so you might as well get it over with. “Alcina Carmilla Dimitrescu, will you marry me?”
Alcina just stands there and stares. The tears that had been building in her eyes now spill over as she kneels down to your level and gives you a passionate kiss.
You smile against her lips and break the kiss. “Does that mean yes?”
“Yes, my darling,” she gives you a watery smile and caresses your jaw. “Yes.”
With trembling hands you take the ring out of the box and slip it on her left ring finger. She lifts her hand and inspects the new ring in the chandelier light. The rubies catch the light, nearly blinding you with their brilliance.
“How does it fit? It’s not too tight?”
She beams at you, positively radiating with joy. “It fits perfectly.” She then rises and heads over to her dresser and opens the top drawer. To your surprise, she pulls out a red box with the Dimitrescu family crest on the top. She sinks to one knee and presents you with an old, but beautiful ring. It must have been passed down through the Dimitrescu bloodline for generations.
Your face feels hot and you feel tears welling up in your eyes. She gently takes your arm. “Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?” She wipes the tears that have already begun cascading your cheeks. “It is tradition for House Dimitrescu to propose with the family ring to symbolize the unification of two houses. I had been planning to propose to you next week. You beat me to it, you clever girl.” She takes your hand and slips the Dimitrescu family ring on your ring finger. It is slightly larger than your finger, but you don’t care. You couldn’t be happier.
Alcina takes you into her lap and kisses you passionately. In between kisses, she queries, ”All those extra shifts you took. They were all for me?”
“Yes, my love,” you say breathlessly. “All for you.”
She stands up and takes you in her arms. You wrap your arms around her neck as she deepens the kiss, exploring your mouth with her tongue. You can taste salty tears on her lips. She carries you over to the bed kissing you the whole time and sets you down gently. She kneels over you on the bed and you rest your leg on her hip. The slit in your skirt rises up, exposing your stockinged leg. After putting her hand gently on your shoulder, Alcina begins kissing your neck. You lean back into the cushions and sigh.
You hear a low moan in her throat, almost like a whine as she kisses your pulse point. You don’t say anything; you just nod. Soon enough you feel the sharp but familiar sensation of Alcina’s fangs piercing your neck. She holds you against her body and you bury your hands in her curls, causing her hat to fall off. Briefly taking her hand off your shoulder, she slaps the hat aside like it was so much rubbish. You take pleasure in every sigh, every moan, every exclamation you elicit from her as she drinks. When she finally stops drinking she wipes her mouth and gives you a seductive smirk. “Good girl,” she purrs.
Alcina’s mouth is on yours again as she undoes your halter while you unhook her garter. She breaks the kiss and cradles your face in her hands. “Te iubesc, draga mea.”
You take her hand and kiss it while saying, “And I you, Alcina.”
The two of you make love until the sun rises the next morning.
