actually i am going to go on that tangent: as a pet dog owner with little pet dogs i actually do not mind my dogs being scared sometimes. i don't need them to be one hundred percent confident all of the time - in fact i'd rather they aren't. fear is logical and serves a function. what i do care about is how my dogs deal with that fear.

neither luna nor troja are particularly confident dogs. they both get spooked and respond with apprehension to things they haven't seen before and can't wrap their minds around (and their minds are umm limited). but their primary fear reactions are also to just? step back and seek support? so.

So I went to a circus tonight, and the ringmaster had this 6 year old on stage with him. And hes going like,”hey you believe in magic? What was your favourite act?”

And this kid goes “Oh i liked the elephants!” (Theyre person-controlled puppets cause they wouldn’t be able to get real elephants in a theatre.) but like, they’re not advertising that. It’s part of the show. Shut up. Yk, that kinda thing.

So, they got the elephant foal puppet out and like shes patting it and shit and the elephant goes off again. And this kid straight up turns to the ringmaster and says, No joke, ”there was a person in there!!” when I say everyone in that theatre died right then and there
