I can’t articulate it, but it gets to me that, outside of Spock and I think Tuvok, being logical and regulating emotions isn’t something that Vulcans are shown to just endure, the same way they endure lower temperatures for other species, or higher oxygen for other species, or anything else that has to be incredibly uncomfortable at best to painful at worst that they just endure

The vibe I get from it is that a majority of Vulcans enjoy it, they like being logical, maybe they didn’t get a choice in being logical as kids, but unlike the select few like Sybok, they don’t seem to be resentful that they were raised like that at all

This isn’t just something they’re all forced to do now to prevent their emotions from causing their species’ end, dedicating themselves to logic brought them inner peace

QBLR QUARTERLY WEEK 2!

Minecrafters grab your pickaxes, and catch up on the QBLR QUATERLY! What's up guys, update just dropped! It sure is something to try and decipher, huh. We've got pages of new stuff to go over, so let's catch up on all the events and mishaps that happened on the server this week!

Desnay finishes his base, and Perrito has a concert!

A new emote touches the server, it's the purple guy stand emote. Surely, nothing can go wrong with that emote and so many creatures around.

Smashing last week's record, Cheez logs a total of just under four full 24-hour days on the server. It has been up for 9 days. Does this man sleep? Eat? Stretch maybe?

All this just in time for a special server event! The dark magician who clears dropped items every 15 minutes gathers up all the creatures running around the island, and distributes them to groups of carers! This goes about as well as you'd think for a server of people in the prime age to develop baby fever over a voxel egg.

And for folks who would rather remain childfree, no need for concern! Planned Parenthood opens a clinic on the server where both reproductive health and world hunger concerns can be addressed. Any unwilling parents can pick up an Abortion In A Bottle free of charge!

Of course, there are plenty of folks who have other ventures going on, including the theatre kids' first outpost on the server, and some autistic minecraft behaviors. No, I mean some really autistic minecraft behaviors. This is impressive.

The theme of this week's builds is farms! A lovely community farm where everyone on the server is coming together to create a seed vault and garden that anyone can take a seed from if they're missing a plant.

And of course, there are plenty of new seeds and plants found and collected by the several intrepid world border expeditions! All four borders were reached this week. The border is 30k x 30k in length and width.

If you thought there was only one server event this week, you'd be wrong! Due to timezones and lag reasons, a second creature event was planned and held a day after the original! This event came with complementary drugs!

With two creature events down, the creatures start settling into their new homes and bonding with their new carers. Some creatures are kept in utmost safety, and others partake in activities that perhaps a creature should not be partaking in. As of yet, there are no family vloggers on the server, so that's a win.

While Nightmare Stalkers are nightmarish as the name suggests for the first few nights of having such vulnerable creaturess around, they quickly become nothing more than a regular nuisance. As such, traps and poisons to dispatch them swiftly are set up around the server.

But wait, there's more! That's right it's a third creature event batch! The final group of creatures are assigned carers and begin to settle in.

With all these creatures now assigned, a creature task system begins to be implemented, and carers take photos of the tasks with their creatures to earn tokens. These tokens ARE valuable.

Otherwise, all the creatures begin to make their mark on the world, with players also building many important venues and farms for the server. This includes the server's XP farm, a mob farm designed for lag easing while still providing XP.

And, of course, there are shenanigans aplenty with creatures and residents alike, including picnics, pole dance classes, abyss exploration, and the birth of G-dzilla.

And the second week of the server is aborted peacefully.

hey! thank you for checking up on me, this was really sweet!

i SWEAR i did not die. i just got a bit busy doing SladeRobin Week (which i will finish so help me god-) as well as things in my real life. i'm still trying to find the balance of like. fandom creation and working. i am very lucky to have the living situation that i do rn, but it is the sort of schedule where i do have to be ready to watch a baby at really any given point so. it's a tricky balance right now, but i'm going to be active here again! maybe not as many asks answered a day as before, but i want to try to answer like, a few a day and whatnot.

i also think i got briefly overwhelmed, in that i got more asks faster than i answered them. which is the opposite of a problem and something i'm very lucky for! but it did make it difficult for me to keep up and know what to answer next. (this is *not* a discouragement to sending asks! i love them all and pls send as many as you want! i just am a little slow sometimes so i appreciate the patience! <3)

A little something in regards to all the bullshit swirling around concerning Moonbin's passing— the assumptions, speculations, and rumors surrounding COD and autopsy findings.

[A/N— long text post ahead containing personal ranting, personal perspective; but if inclined, please read thoroughly and to the end]

IMPORTANT PSA—

ALL THESE PEOPLE SAYING THAT “WE’RE JUST FANS" or that “ITS NOT OUR RIGHT TO KNOW, ITS PRIVATE"… and blah blah blah.

LISTEN—… L I S T E N…

we know. okay? WE KNOW.

but— moonbin… was an INTERNATIONAL CELEBRITY. he had and still has, millions… millions of fans and supporters. when you are a celebrity, a very large part of your life is exposed and displayed to the public. being the sweetheart that we was, he made deep connections and bonds with his fans. so, it's not about being nosy, or feeling entitled to know, or even wanting to see his autopsy results… it's about closure. it's about clarity. and its giving that to the people that loved and adored him, and actuallyed cared about him not only as a celebrity, but as a person; a human being. we just want the truth— so what if it exposes his company for negligent health care?! if it was due to preexisting health conditions that moonbin, himself, chose to not share with his fans/the public, THEN… it's his family's choice to share that, or not.

i read several different comments, and there is one that wrote out a suspicious timeline, leading up to his passing— prior to going to thailand, he fainted or passed out on the 7th of april. when this happened, he was not admitted to the hospital for any medical checks or tests. he proceeded with grueling schedules for 12 days, afterwards and passed on the 19th. he could have been sick then, and further complicated the sickness. so, more than anything… we just want clarity and for the confusion, assuming, and speculating to stop. it's not about entitlement, or invading privacy! its knowing the truth about someone who brought you happiness, that you genuinely loved, adored, and cared for. people just need to be respectful of others that are closer to moonbin than they are (i.e. family). TRUE fans are NOT the ones spreading the rumors.

if you go back to the very first news article you read about the news, when it happened, “suicide" has ALWAYS been associated with his passing. from the very first headline, it read, “ASTRO'S MOONBIN PASSES AWAY; SUICIDE". or even “ASTRO MOONBIN DEAD BY SUICIDE". so, from the very beginning, that's how it was associated. people take the police's statements as facts, because they're a figure of authority, right? so, even if the articles read, [“… he was discovered by police in his apartment dead, by what they suspect is suicide.”] it's still assumed true, since it's the police. this is what was published and released to the public from day one, so it's all that we knew… from day one. now to hear, that theres a possibility that it isnt true? people will automatically try to figure out the truth.

so, if you'd like to point fingers, there you go. stop fighting with one another, stop shoving your opinions down one another's throats. assuming is a human trait, because we, as humans, like to be aware of what's coming, or be aware of a situation that could be shocking or surprising… we seek closure, and seek answers for peace of mind. just dont force it on others who dont agree or perceive what you, personally are perceiving. period.
