Undertale special interest kicking in... I swear I'm never getting tired of these guys...
I can imagine them sometimes meeting up Post-Pacifist for game nights. Like... board games, card games, video games... I have a few headcanons about it.
Card/Board games:
Let's address the elephant in the room: Monopoly is banned. Just straight up banned. They played once... Never again. Let's just say by the end of the night there were magic spears wedged deeply into Toriel's new wallpaper... and the wall... and the brick of the house... And the window was shattered. Yeah, Monopoly, it's banned, it's banned.
Papyrus has no poker face whatsoever. Meanwhile, Sans and Frisk have VERY impressive poker faces, and they're both aware of it. Once, they formed some sort of secret alliance and they dominated poker night. It was Frisk's first time playing, too!
I imagine Frisk would just be a natural at all games, hands down. Well, kind of. They don't always win, but they learn very quickly. Jack of all trades, I suppose.
Undyne has this habit of flipping boards (a classic) and shooting magic spears whenever she loses at a game or just gets EXTREMELY passionate about it. Although, if Alphys or Papyrus are the ones that beat her, she'll grit her teeth and act happy for them, just to make them happy.
Unfortunately, Papyrus picked up on Undyne's bad habit and bones started scattering the walls. Toriel had to ban magic bullets in the house after one of them almost gave Frisk a concussion.
Asgore is pretty good at card games, actually! I like to imagine he sometimes spends time with old friends of his, like Gerson and stuff, and they would have tea and play games while they chat, so he's had a lot of practice.
Toriel, on the other hand, hasn't played any board games or cards in AGES thanks to her isolation in the Ruins. She's not terrible, but she's not particularly GOOD at them either.
Sometimes, certain members of the group would try to break Sans' calmness, because while everyone had gotten annoyed at one point or another during game nights, Sans never did. Long story short, nope, he's just too chill. He's just happy to be here.
Once, Alphys bought a Mew Mew Kissy Cutie board game for game night, and she was so excited to show everyone the ropes (and dominate the night for once). She only won one game. And then she had an identity crisis afterwards!
Snacks! They do a rotation on who gets to be in charge of the food! Undyne and Papyrus are NO LONGER in this rotation after they brought in flaming spaghetti and almost set the couch on fire. Even then, you could only really trust Frisk, Toriel and Asgore with the snacks, since Alphys doesn't cook (she brings in store-bought cupcakes, it's the thought that counts), and Sans always forgets or is just too lazy to get snacks, so he orders pizza.
Video games:
They meet up to play stuff like Smash Bros, Mario Kart and Mario Party, but when they play online multiplayer games, like Minecraft, Terraria etc. they just stay home and go on a Zoom call or something. It's a lot less stressful for the introverts of the group (mainly Alphys, but I suppose Toriel could qualify [Undyne and Papyrus are absolutely extroverts; Sans and Frisk are moreso ambiverts, I think]) because they don't have to go out to do it! Yay!
They do all the things typical friends do when they're playing online games! They troll, they tease, they laugh, they help each other out, they TRY to work as a team (emphasis on TRY)...
One of the games I'd like to see them play is Human Fall Flat (I have that game and I play it with my sister :]). I want to see some RAGE. I'm sure Papyrus would love doing the puzzles, but at the same time, I'm sure the others not cooperating or knowing what's going on would tick him off. Yessss... Let Papyrus rage.
Sometimes Alphys and/or Sans would trail off into some scientific conversation or tangent, and after a minute or so, the others would start yelling over them, "NERD!!! NERDS! NERRDDD!!!" Alphys would get flustered, and Sans would desperately try to keep his composure and try not to burst out laughing.
Undyne and Papyrus have the extraordinary ability to make even the calmest, simplest games intense. ESPECIALLY Undyne, oh my goooood. Though I guess she could use the extra stimulation, she will NOT settle for a game with a slow pace. So much for Animal Crossing.
In addition, the gang can get VERY competitive at Mario Kart and stuff. Undyne is obviously the most competitive, but I think Papyrus and Alphys would want to try and impress her. Frisk and Sans? Nah, they're chilling. They don't care, they're just here to watch the chaos. Yeah... There's a reason why Asgore and Toriel don't often play games with these guys. Though they would watch and look upon them fondly. I dunno, it just seems cute.
#undertale#frisk#sans#papyrus#toriel#undyne#alphys#asgore#the gang's all here#look#i kinda made it ambiguous as to whether flowey is here or not because i don't know if he would even participate#maybe he might#if papyrus and/or frisk can convince him#mettaton?#nah he's too busy touring#undergamers

How D&D would go for the DBD folks:
--Monty (he's human again, just go with it) decides he wants to DM
--Niko (she's back, go with it) is into it because she is a nerd & is still low-key trying to set Edwin & Monty up
--Edwin is trying to be nice to Monty despite his discomfort with Monty's feelings & obviously wants to spend time with Niko so agrees
--Charles doesn't trust Monty even though he kind of helped with the backpack, so he is definitely playing
--Crystal is like: ok, sure?
--Party starts off: Edwin (wizard), Charles (paladin), Niko (cleric), Crystal (sorcerer).
--Monty rambles a lot as a DM, immediately boring Charles. He is not prepared for the many questions Edwin & Niko ask. Crystal, sensing that the questions will get them no where in the game because Monty has no clue the answers, does something rash (attacks a dragon with a sword because she doesn't understand her spell list) & immediately dies. (Monty did not balance the encounter well.)
--Jenny has been listening to all this & tells Monty to get up & she takes his seat. "This is stupid, but I cannot listen to you be this bad at DMing this stupid game"
--Turns out Jenny's first and only boyfriend from when she was 14 was a huge D&D nerd & made her play ("Made her" she fucking loved it). Her ex is now a non-binary vegan cosplayer. They send her Halloween cards about the evils of the meat industry that she burns in the alley way over the trash can.
--New party compostion: Edwin (wizard), Charles (paladin), Niko (cleric), Monty (druid), Crystal (barbarian). ("If you're going to attack a dragon with a sword & be an idiot, at least lets make you good at melee attacks.")
--Jenny successfully leads them through most an an encounter with pixies that bear a strong resemblance to the dandelion sprites. Niko tries to adopt them / heal them, but Jenny interrupts by introducing a ghost for them to fight.
--Edwin starts arguing with Jenny about how the ghosts of the game are nothing like real ghosts & how it is an affront to ghosts. Also his spell list is nothing like actual magic. It also comes up that while everyone has been assuming his character was male, he is playing his character as a woman.
--While this is going on Niko & Monty decide to switch classes. Niko is now a druid & Monty is a cleric.
--Niko immediately turns into a polar bear
--Charles decides to interrupt Edwin's ghost tirade by attacking the ghosts & gets grieviously injured.
--Edwin tells Monty he must heal Charles, but Monty doesn't understand his new spell list yet.
--Polar bear Niko & Crystal kill the ghosts
--The Night Nurse comes in & gives them a case, which Charles is into.
--Edwin is deeply upset that Charles' character is just dying while they go off to solve a case.
--Niko drops polar bear form & heals Charles so they can actually go & do their jobs
--This becomes an on-going campaign.
--Once TCK tried to join in (bard), but Jenny banned him because all he wanted to do was seduce the NPCs. He would have seduced Edwin but by that point it was clear Edwin was playing an older woman who looks exactly like his disguise.
--Monty keeps trying to back seat DM & Jenny keeps shutting him down. His character is also a woman & everyone is uncomfortable because she sounds/acts a little too much like Esther.
--The Night Nurse (sorcerer) has been roped into playing a few games, but Jenny thinks she cheats because she never rolls below a 14.
--Tragic Mick sells minis & battle map supplies & other D&D items. He joined one game as a ranger.
--Charles multiclasses with rogue
--Crystal dies again & switches to warlock, which she winds up sticking with.
--I have given zero thought to what races everyone plays.

Maven! Small guy KEENLY aware of the crushing weight of responsibility. Director of Mission Control after Odyssey’s ‘retirement’. Doing their best.
-> Following after their mentor, Maven is the current head of Mission Control, a small team tasked with monitoring the status of expeditions, keeping the portal stable, and maintaining the technological systems that assist in these efforts. Maven’s the one calling the shots. In the case of a hazardous situation, Maven has to make an assessment with what information they have access to and decide what to prioritize. They’re inclined to recall the field team when faced with any untested issue, but the current owners/investors of the whole project aren’t too happy when supplies get wasted ‘for nothing’.
-> In practice they usually just go along with whatever Odyssey advises to the absolute best of their ability. And they Will Not complain.
-> They’re kind of usually too worried about have a personality for the entire duration of a mission. They fixate on the job and fret over it 24/7 until everyone makes it back in one piece.
-> When they can relax, Maven’s got some hobbies. They’re into embroidery, playing niche card and board games, and enjoys science fiction and mystery stories.
-> Their cousin, Perseverance, bullies them relentlessly for being a nerd </3. Even though Perse is the one who writes essays on oscillating genes, or the influences that parasites exert throughout an ecosystem, just for fun, so. >:(
-> Maven and Perse didn’t grow up very close in both a physical, spacial sense as well as an emotional one. Their teens is when they started to connect, when their families moved closer again. Maven babysat fairly often and helped her out with schoolwork, leading to Perse taking an interest in Maven’s aspirations and making them her own.
-> She’s a grown woman now and can look after herself, but Maven’s still worried for her now that she’s joined the team officially. They don’t want to get her killed. But then she goes and pulls some shit to make them reconsider all the effort they’re putting into worrying. Like showing Maven a big fuckoff moth she found by releasing it into their room. Again. (..it was a cool moth though)
-> Maven has to babysit Perse’s terrariums once she starts joining expeditions. Maven does not like crawlies.. but they are committed to upholding the highest standard of care for these creatures. They were reaaaaaally anxious about it the first time, but Perse said they did a great job, and they kind of grew to enjoy it? The feeling of being able to do right by these little animals and keep them safe. They don’t mind it, actually.
-> Maven was just stepping into the leadership role on that fateful day they lost contact with the field team. It was supposed to be straightforward, one of the first missions they’d be commanding with little input from Odyssey, up until it all went very wrong. When the storm hit, they scrambled to manage the crisis. In the time it took to restore communication, Maven was certain they’d gotten three people killed. Instead, they just got one person killed. Like it really makes a difference. They are quite certain that Opportunity’s disappearance and presumed death are their fault and they’re not dealing with it very well.
-> They look up to and respect their mentor a lot and honestly it’s just.. easier to let em overstep and take some responsibility away from them. Maven feels Complicated about it. Relieved, sure. Patronized too. They feel crushed that Odyssey doesn’t seem to trust their ability.. but is e really wrong? They’ve already proven to be inadequate. They’re not sure they’ll ever move past this.
#alt text#image#my art#my characters#char: maven#set: eeg#flight rising#flight rising art#named after the Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN (MAVEN) orbiter!#along with its other objectives it’s utilized as a communications relay for active landers and rovers

So, Jumanji by way of Last Action Hero. Ok, Never Stop Blowing Up. I'm in for the ride. They managed to put together a great table for this one. I'm delighted they got Rekha back in the Dome. It's exciting to see Alex Song-Xia again. Izzy is always a treat. I'll never say no to more Jacob Wysocki. And of course Ally and Ify are always strong performers. We're in for a good season.
What a crazy start! I'm so glad I watched Last Action Hero a few weeks ago in prep because those vibes are very apparent (in addition to Jumanji 2 of course, but I'd already seen that).
A quick rundown of everything going on:
Ally Beardsley as Russell Feeld as Jennifer Drips
INSANE swings from Ally right out the gate. I love that Izzy was both in character thirsting over Russell and out of character being like, "Pull it back." Also, I think they're the only one playing a girl movie character so that's interesting. This season is gonna be such a trip pronoun-wise. Wonder what direction Ally wants to go with that.
Ify Nwadiwe
as Wendell Morris as Vic Ethanol
I was STUNNED to hear Wendell's voice come out of Ify's body. I didn't know he had an Urkel-esque bone in his jacked as hell self. And I assumed that once the PCs turned to their MCs (movie characters) they'd use their MC voice but nope. It seems like he's still doing the Wendell voice which is wild. I love a sweet nerd so Wendell is one of my early faves for sure. Very much the vibes on the main character from Jumanji 2 turning into the Rock. Also, Vic Ethanol is my fave expy name.
Isabella Roland
as Paula Donvalson as Jack Manhattan
Izzy had, by far, my favorite movie bit with her and Brennan walking into that chicken bit which was golden. Sometimes a bit drags on too long but they drove that to the exact funniest point and then left it there. Chef's kiss, no notes. Very much looking forward to seeing this very tightly wound mom in this unhinged setting.
Rekha Shankar
as Usha Rao as G13
Something I really respect is building a character who is specifically bad at the main thing they have to do and a woman who barely has grasped the concept of phones having to be the hacker is so funny. Rekha, you've done it again. I didn't notice until it was pointed out on Twitter but one of the fave movies listed on her card is literally the first movie ever made (The Horse in Motion). And her immediate 1 when trying to do hacker stuff is a portent of more hilarity to come I'm sure. Love to have her back in the dome.
Alex Song-Xia
as Liv Skyler as Kingskin
Also, love to have Alex back in the dome! I loved them in Mentopolis and they picked such a fun dichotomy of characters to inhabit in a teen girl who's giving me Vanessa from In the Heights with a little compulsive shoplifting plus truly just Kingpin from Marvel. I found her really endearing and she was also one of my faves.
Jacob Wysocki
as Andy 'Dang' Litefoot as Greg Stocks
I'm not as familiar with Jacob as I think some others are but he matched the table's energy right away. I would think the aliens thing was a weird swing except that there's someone in one of my games who has a very similar deal (their PC not the actual person lol) so it's kind of like yeah, that's a normal thing for a PC to believe. Maybe it's because I just binged all of The Bear but he kind of reminds me of a more assertive Fak. And it's a very funny contrast to a suave James Bond-type (also, Stocks/Bond. Ha).
So it looks like we have Fast and Furious, Die Hard, and James Bond. Kingskin is Kingpin from Spiderman and maybe just repping mobster flicks in general. G13 also seems to be a generic hacker. And Jennifer Drips is a generic femme fatale.
I think it's interesting that everyone seems to be a protagonist except for Kingskin who is an obvious baddie (unless he comes from a Breaking Bad type world where it's bad guys all the way down and no real heroes).
Also, I'm curious about how they'll cross over with each other. In Last Action Hero, it was kind of implied that many action movie scenarios take place in a shared universe (which is why you had Arnold in the same police station as a talking cartoon cat and other archetypes waiting to get paired up with their wacky mismatched sidekicks). Could be something like that, but we'll see.
Anyway, yeah! I wasn't sure how this season was gonna look but I'm VERY down for it now that it's started. Oh! And the animatics???? Amazing! D20 just keeps outdoing itself!

thank you also for the trade!! i’m so excited for it!! <3
okay so my name is anayeli but i also go by sora, im 16 and im hispanic! my pronouns are she/her, but my gender is unlabeled. my sign is aquarius and my personality type is INFP.
i’d like to be perceived as a stand user also, and i love animals sm (even if im allergic to them) iggy is one of my favs. im honestly pretty introverted and i usually only talk to people if they talk to me first, i like to stay indoors a lot but once im outside it’s hard to get me back inside. im honestly just like a big nerd and i have many childish interests and im really bad at hiding it. i tend to get burnt out a lot if im consistently socializing and i sleep a lot because of it LOL, but usually that’s enough to recharge my battery. i’m definitely a night owl and i love staying up until the sun rises, mornings are not for me i dread them the most. even still my makeup and hair is always done and i like to dress in like a y2k mcbling-ish style. i have a huge fear of driving for some reason im a designated passenger princess LOL. i don’t really play any sports but i do occasionally hit the gym. i’m honestly kind of a negative person i usually only speak badly of myself rather than highly. i listen to all kinds of weird music, ill literally listen to anything besides like normal mainstream, i cant function without it. i’m a big fan of video games even though i don’t get the chance to play them often. i’m honestly more book smart than street smart, im really slow and honestly kinda like dumb LOL. making decisions and pressure is not my thing. my love language is gift giving and physical touch, im not very good with words and get flustered easily 😭 but i also have a very sensitive temper when it comes to defending the people i love, and i also have enough self respect to defend myself, whether it be verbally or physically
tysm for reading!! i really hope it wasn’t too much 😭💞
Author's Note: My God, this was a hard one. Why? Because you seem such a nice and complex person. Again, I'm sorry for not being able to make up my mind and choosing two charters. Hope you'll enjoy this, thank you again for this trade! GIFs are not mine, I'm thanking the creators for them.
I match you with...
Muhammad Avdol
- He is also more of a mediator in general and this will make you two get along well right from the start. Plus, as much as he tries to act as the voice of reason for the group he too has a sensitive temper sometimes.
- He is drawn to you because of your uniqueness and realness. He admires how in tune you are with your feelings. He understands when you need to take a step back and recharge your social batteries.
- I feel like you two would work surprisingly well. Despite him looking rather serious, he too likes to have a good laugh and engage in childish antics when he's in a good mood.
- Iggy admits that he only finds you and him the most pleasant to hang out with in the group, so when he notices the spark between you and Avdol, he's pleased.
- If Avdol finds you asleep, don't worry, NO ONE will get to disturb or wake you up because he'll make sure of that. Both he and Magician's Red who becomes very protective of you.
- As a professional fortune-teller, of course he'll ask the cards about how your dynamic will change in the future once he realizes that he's falling for you. Joseph catches him while doing that and it's game over for him. Poor Avdol won't be able to look at you affectionately from afar without Joseph winking at him and teasing him about his crush.
- Avdol doesn't mind the fact that decision-making is not your thing but the fact that you speak badly of yourself saddens him. He wishes to understand the reason why but won't be too demanding as he doesn't want you to feel pressured.
- He would find your style very unique and he'll be curious about that weird music you mentioned. He's curious and open-minded, of course, he wants to know more. Side by side, you two would make an interesting contrast. He'll even gift you one of his bracelets!
- He doesn't mind that you prefer not to drive. You'll be his passenger princess. He'll always keep your seat warm with Magician's Red ability.
And because I couldn't decide...
I also match you with...
Kakyoin Noriaki
- If you and Avdol would work because of the contrast, you and Kakyoin would work because of some similarities you two have.
- He notices you because of how you defend the ones you care about and also yourself, despite having an introverted nature. It's something he admires.
- He's also introverted so it will take a lot for you too to warm up to each other. But once you do, everything gets so much fun.
- He too recharges his social batteries by sleeping so this will earn some playful teasing from the other crusaders about you two. Joseph, wanting to be the mature one, but failing, will make you two share a room when they make stops on the journey. Why? Because you both sleep a lot, no other reason, nope. Not because Joseph secretly wants to be a matchmaker, nooo.
- It hurts him to hear you speak badly of yourself when in his eyes, you're more than worthy of praise. He takes this matter into his hands and showers you with encouragement, compliments, and so on.
- Hierophant Green is very curious of you, don't be scared if you notice him staring at you or floating over your shoulder when Kakyoin lets him out.
- Aesthetically wise, he's such a big fan of Y2K style. Your outfits will make him feel butterflies in his stomach. Eventually, he wants to match your style somehow.
- The only drawback is that you'll have to fight for the title of passenger princess because he doesn't really like driving.
- You're enjoying video games and also being a night owl? You two will definitely spend so many nights playing video games together
And a random choice: N'Doul - he would meet you during that fight in the desert and he thinks you're different from the aggressiveness of the other crusaders. You spark his interest.

A Few Hot Takes About Elite Force
Bree did not deserve to go to Centium City, nor does it make sense plot-wise
In season four it's jokingly established that Bree is becoming sort of a mom-friend, mom-mentor sort of figure. There is no way in hell that she would've allowed fucking Adam and Leo to run the bionic island. She knows those two knuckle-heads would get into trouble. Don't get me wrong, I love when Adam takes control of the situation and when he takes responsibility for Bob in that one episode, but let's face it: he is not ready for such a large role when it comes to that many kids. Dude is not equipped to be a babysitter. When it comes to Leo, while he is more equipped for the situation, he is very well established to make shit go wrong on fucking accident. We see it time and time and time again, not only in season one, but in season four (read: the whole business card fiasco). She would've known that they would've be able to handle it alone, especially when taking into account that their chaperones would've been fucking Terry Cherry Perry and goddamn Douglas Davenport! Excuse me???? No! She would have not allowed that.
Edit- Also, she just got a sister! I know that she said that the excitement was gone after having to change diapers, but you're telling me that Bree wouldn't want to be a part of her life????
Leo did deserve to go to Centium City, and it would've made more sense plot-wise (especially if they kept it mostly the same story-wise)
Leo, as we all know, gets along great with Kaz. Not only that, but he's a superhero nerd. I guarantee that if Leo just knew wtf the 'secret project' was, he would've been on board faster than the train to Downtown Welkerville. It would've been epic to see him interact with not just Kaz, but Oliver too? Skylar probably would've felt like she fit in more too, because she's definitely one of the boys (not in a pick-me way, in a nonbinary way). It would've been really fun seeing Chase trying to battle Kaz, Oliver and Leo down from playing Topple Tower and whatever other various games. Such as, for example, Leo jumping off the building for Kaz and/or Oliver to catch him before he fucking dies. I know this was more of an Adam and Chase thing, but I still think we should've gotten a prank wars episode, and since it's decidedly canon that Bree is, at best, mid when it comes to pranks, it could've gotten real fucking intense. I love the idea of Oliver and Kaz warning Chase and Leo about Skylar being really amazing at pranks, and then when they don't really notice her being weird or suspicious, they just think it was to mess with their heads (which does or does not work, depending on if you want a Sicillian situation on your hands or not) so they brush it off, only to be bested by the prank master. But I'm getting off topic. The biggest reason that I think that Leo should've gone to Centium City instead of Bree is because of Episode 9 and Episode 10. In episode 9, The Intruder,we are introduced to a character named AJ, who finds Chase and Douglas in the Mission Command (aka, the basement) by mistake. And I know that they often draw comparisons from AJ to Chase, but I think that it would work way better with Leo— Better yet, Leo and Chase. Like Chase, AJ is autistic coded, socially inept, and a tech nerd. But like Leo, he means well. He wants to be a part of the team, even though objectively that maybe shouldn't be allowed. He snuck his way into this family by running into them when he didn't mean to, when he was just exploring where he lived. AJ should've gotten bonding time with Leo. Maybe then, the common headcannon that AJ will/would become Mission Specialist like Leo once was, would be cannon. Next is Episode 10, The Rock. In The Rock, AJ makes a list ranking the most useful/gifted in the Elite Force, to the least. This causes Bree to become insecure when she's placed in the middle, leading her to attempt getting more powers by touching the Arcturian. I will always stand by the fact that this was a fucking stupid idea. But when it's Leo? This idea becomes nearly fucking genius. Leo would likely be placed in a similar place, if not lower, given that only part of him has powers. He is not bionic, he has bionics. And, y'know, he's a superhero nerd; why would he not want superpowers. He also is reckless, which would make sense why he would touch the Arcturian without really thinking about it as much as he probably should. And best of all, this could be a personal secret, instead of a secret between him and someone else, like it was with Bree and Skylar. After all, Leo already has a buffer. His arm. Leo wouldn't need to be endangered to get these powers, he already paid that tax years ago. Leo would finally have powers. Not just partial powers; real, true powers. It makes sense that he would be the first bionic superhero. Leo deserves to be the first bionic superhero.
Edit cont.- I do think that Leo would want to be in Naomi's life too, I understand that. Especially with his dad having been absent in his life, he might want Naomi to grow up with her family around. But at the same time, I really like the idea of him letting Bree have that honour. Like a bit of an emotional moment as they debate who goes to Centium City and who stays on the island/in Mission Creek, and in the end, Leo knows how much Bree's always wanted a sister and decides that she should be allowed to have that.
I have way more, but I can't remember, so this is probably the last one. Ka-Kai-Ra-Ta-Hee-Haw-Mwak-Floopie-Pazoing should've been in Elite Force
They couldn't have invited Auggie Issac back for one episode just to make it feel more like Caldera? Seriously? She is definitely one of the highlights that we get when we visit Caldera in Mighty Med, and without her, it feels disingenuous. Hell, start the episode with a quick video chat with Gus talking about how things are going in Philly and with The Domain, make the universe feel more coherent and put together. And then, if Chase and Leo/Bree see the call, they could later mention how she looks like Gus. And, not only that, but she could help save Skylar. Like, instead of Scarlett just being like 'hey muthafuckas, lemme bring you to ya girl,' it could've had this semi-dramatic, semi-emotional moment with Ka-Kai-Ra-Ta-Hee-Haw-Mwak-Floopie-Pazoing where she explains that she saw Scarlett taking Skylar away. She could've explained the whole rebellion thing to Oliver and his accompaniment. They could've had one of those cross cut scenes where it cuts between Ka-Kai-Ra-Ta-Hee-Haw-Mwak-Floopie-Pazoing and Scarlett explaining what's going on, instead of getting weird feeling, one dimensional exposition from just Scarlett talking to Skylar through an oddly shaped TV. I would've loved to see her and Skylar reunite, even for a little bit. Hell, y'know what, Ka-Kai-Ra-Ta-Hee-Haw-Mwak-Floopie-Pazoing is basically not a pet, which is implied through the numerous jokes of her not responding to things that a normal pet do, and the fact that she speaks english. It would've been epic as fuck if she was like... leading a rebellion army. That would've been so fucking awesome. But that would've been far more difficult to do, and I understand that. But the first part? Cmon, she is the heart and soul of Caldera. She should've been there.
Sorry for the super long post that was basically about nothing, but I was ranting to my friend who knows nothing about the lref universe and I wanted to share these. They're definitely the ones I'm most passionate about— not including how I think that Douglas definitely should've been indited more as their father instead of Donald, especially in Elite Force where Douglas showed up more than Donald did. And that Tasha deserves someone better (and I wouldn't exactly mind if that person were Douglas, but I've been over how I think that Douglas deserves a nice twunk)
Let me know if I should make a part two, and I might rant about a few more things they could've done to make Elite Force better.
Anyway, all in all, thank you for coming to my ted talk.

look!: do you have any common interests? Or has any of you got or tried to get the other on one of your favorite tv shows/books? Was it successful? Are they now the ones 'annoying' you to watch it with them?
Once again, we are avid readers (molly you already know what I read sigh) but omi has tried to get me to like those dark horror books (think paranormal/almost "who done it" type of dark). But I need instant gratification so I can't sit there and read a 600 page book about that and NOT know what's happening and who did it.
But I have gotten him into trashy tv like fucking love island (I am OBSESSED). He says he's not into it, but he def is, to the point he's reacting with me like "what????? did she really do that???" Also got him into yellowstone that he calls "the cowboy show"
let's play a little game: do you like to play video games together? Or does one like to watch the other as they play? If the game is for only one player, do you like to take turns (maybe one of you is better/less scared/etc at a section of the game/a boss). What about board games? What do you like to play? Cards, uno, monopoly, dominoes? Who wins everytime? Are any of you competitive?
mario kart is banned in the house bc of how we act.... also spoons is banned from any function if we are going there because I will actually hurt people don't play with me....
He likes to make people think he's not competitive and act like he doesn't care but he most def is! If it's just us we are deadass going for blood. I am not a good sport, I play dirty and I don't care. "you're CHEATING wtf!" "you just suck ASS skill issue"
He doesn't play a lot of video games though unlike me. He usually just sits with me while I do. "look babe I made us a house in minecraft!" "that's so cute you fucking nerd"

As promised, the ghouls + their hobbies:
Aether: postcrossing. It started when he received some postcards from Dew while the latter was touring with Terzo, and later grew into a full-blown hobby. Aether rents a post office box in a nearby city, so no threats to the anonymity. He likes music-related postcards and anything with cat pictures or food photos.
Dew: guitar repairing. First it was his job, now it is his passion. He loves to restore old acoustic guitars and help them sing again. Same for electric guitars and bass.
Cirrus: photography. She is fascinated with the very idea of catching a moment on film. When the band is touring, Cirrus takes her Instax camera with her and takes LOTS of pictures, and when she runs out of film, she makes it everybody's problem. At home, she also has a semi-pro camera. Cirrus likes to take it with her when she goes for walks in the local forest.
Cumulus: knitting. Cumulus finds it very relaxing. She makes blankets and shawls but her top project is making ugly New Year sweaters for all her packmates and Papa.
Swiss: book blogging. Who would have thought that he reads a shitton of romance novels? Well, he does and he has to scream about it. Swiss keeps a blog where he posts book reviews, he doesn't post often but when he does, it's always longreads about several books at once.
Mountain: bonsai. I know it's a common fanon but it just suits Mountain so good. He takes great care of his plants and even asks Rain to help maintaining room humidity for them. Besides, he likes hiking and sometimes joins Cirrus when she goes hunting with her camera.
Rain: movies. He's a movie nerd! Thank Gods below for streaming services, otherwise his room would be overloaded with DVDs (which he actually has along with the DVD player). He also has a broken VCR and always asks Dew to repair it (Dew doesn't know how).
Sunshine: junk journals. Her journals look chaotic but isn't it the point? She collects anything she can use, and her desk is a mess of papers from magazines, brochures, music sheets etc. She even tried to steal some of Aether's postcards for her journals.
Phantom: he's still trying to understand the concept of hobby. Sometimes he joins Rain for a movie or tags along with Mountain and Cirrus during their walks or watches Cumulus knitting (she offered to teach him, and he agreed) but he does it mostly to spend time with his packmates.
Aurora: nail or rather, claw art. During her first days on the Surface she noticed people with colorful nails and was very curious: were they born like this? Did they do it themselves? Could she have her claws like this too? And this is how her passion was born. Now she does her packmates' claws. Aurora even offered to do Papa's nails but he politely refused.
Also, all ghouls share a passion for board games. Cumulus is an absolute champion in Munchkin, and Mountain is a king of Snakes and Ladders. Copia strictly forbade them to play cards though, he's afraid it may end up in bloodshed.

Things I'm obsessd with from Eltingville club:
-Pete is obsessed with chicks covered in blood meanwhile him and his friends are often covered in blood but from actual fights with each other
-Pete is apparently into the old sexy dracula movies and Josh takes note of that
-Bill's nightmare starts as basically a wet dream with sci fi babes (sci fi being Josh's thing) until it devolves into a dream of being drowned by a white liquid that comes out of Josh, pardon my Freudian dream analysis but I think something gay is happening
-Jerry who is the DM for this session has a princess with the same colors as his main ones and his friends remark how pretty she is.
And later Jerry dates a girl who looks really similar to him, and once again the other guys comment how hot she is.
And idk if this is anything but they all call themselves Secretary of their respective interests, which 1-is cute and 2-why not president or whatever? Most ppl see secretaries as a feminine thing, specially misogynist toxic fans from the early 2000s. I really feel like they are exploring things with each other, they roleplay as secretaries and princesses, they rough house a lot, they say they hate each other but always stick together even for their detriment. It feels like they all have underlying feelings for the others and can't express them from under the 10 layers of nerd culture as a way to be at the top of a social hirarchy and need for superiority most of them equate to happiness.
Jerry is the only one that managed to get out of that loop bc he used his interest in the Tragic cards as a healthy tool for him to express something he likes among people who don't feel the need to claw unto eachother to see who knows more trivia or whatver, it's a genuine competitive game he is passionate about instead of a thing he has to know all about to feel superior to other fans. It rly shows a good distinction between healthy engagements with media (playing cards together) and u healthy ones (everything else)
And also I interpret some things as being closeted trans girls, Jerry roleplaying as the princess with his color palette, Pete liking chicks covered in blood when he gets converted in blood a lot, Bill denial on letting any woman on his team and claiming he never cosplayed bc he never flaunted his boobs which just makes it sound like he wants to live those thing, he is shaming others but also repressing himself through all of that.
Also the reason Josh lost the trivia off on the pilot was because he his first thought when asked about whose catchphrase something was his first thought was his friend Jerry. Which is just sweet, he has taken note that he has been doing the catchphrase almost as a vocal stim and now associates the sound with his boy friend.
I genuinely believe deapite everything despite their need to feel superior, their need to indulge on whatever and how horrible they are to each other, they actually care.
I genuinely believe that they love each other, they are just not in good spots to communicate that and use their personas and interests to hide that love and sincerity
Anyways here's Pete defending homoeroticism good for him I guess

Massive Inscrpytion spoilers incoming
I have been obsessing over Daniel Mullens games (Inscrpytion, The Hex, Pony Island) and have so much to say about all three but the biggest thing I really love about Inscryption is the way it uses its own mechanics and balance as part of the narrative.
Part 1 starts off with Leshy's version of the game, which is both the most simplistic and least balanced. There are dozens of ways to absolutely break the game (ouroborus, squirrel totems, and the more puzzles you do, the more it gives you. )
This does three things:
It starts off the game by making the player feel clever, while actually its really just ushering them towards the real story.
It gives insight to Leshy as a character. While he's a huge nerd when it comes to atmosphere and storytelling, his ability to balance isn't the best, but thats not a concern for him. Both winning and losing are both equally valid endings to his story and beating him is meant to be a pyrrhic victory. The traveler stuck in his cabin is still at the mercy of the trickster god and his game isn't going to end at the first person to best him.
It establishes that "winning" the game isn't whats important, its unraveling the story hidden within. Theres two points where the pile of meat is used as a sort of "You're not as smart as you think" moment: Once when you beat Leshy and another when you use the storymode code to the safe in Kaycee's mod. "Good job you beat the 'game' now go actually solve the mystery" and "Good you remembered something from the story, thats not going to help you much here" respectively
Then you reach part 2, the "original" its a game made of intense compromise. Everyones ideas for mechanics in the game get equal footing. Unfortunately what this does is creates an overly complex mess of the game that is constantly introducing new mechanics in a way that makes it so that no one mechanic has any time to really be utilized to its fullest.
This also gives insight to Magnificus as a character. He's described as "Smart, always with a plan for everything."and is likely the mastermind behind the original inscryption. For him, its the perfect solution, everyone gets their mechanic in the game and the result is a game with a lot of depth to people who can wrap their heads around it. Like you really need to play through part 2 with the starting deck of each scribe to REALLY appreciate their mechanic because otherwise its spread so thin you get basically 4 fights before you have to learn another, and none of the mechanics are given the attention they deserve. Its a game that would likely scare off most new players as it dumps mechanic after mechanic on them. Thankfully for the actual game, the player just gone through a simplified version and can apply what they know from the from Leshy's game to the original inscryption (This is why Leshy the "Sacrifice" boss and Grimora the "Bone" boss are the first fightable bosses as both use mechanics the player is already familiar with)
Then comes PO3, his ultimate goal is "Get it into people's hands" so that the time they've spent imprisoned hasn't been for nothing. His version of the game is the most balanced out of the of the three, mechanically the best, everything else like story and art falls by the wayside. The only real way you can "break" his game is by using your own cards, which is the point. You can easily make an unbalanced card, but making one that is useful but not broken is the hard part which is what he's showing you by letting you make your own card.
Then you see Grimora's version. You dont really get to play it enough to really explore it to its fullest and thats the point. Erasing everything wasn't a decision she made lightly and you see exactly what shes giving up. Whatevers hidden within the OLD_DATA is so dangerous that shes making the decision to never let her version see the light of day despite all the work shes clearly put into it.
Then you meet Leshy again. Through the course of the story at this point he's gone from some sort of baba yaga-style boogieman to just some guy with a lot of really great ideas and a story to tell who just wanted a chance to share that with someone. YOUR life was never really in danger playing with him, those deathcards simply labeled each of your attempts at his game, and thats all it really was:A game. His last request is that you just sit with him for a few moments longer, playing his game and not even taking score any longer. Its also a great moment becuase its a little reminder that even though his version of Inscryption was the least mechanically sound, it was arguably the most memorable.
Then you have Magnificus's scene. As a side note, I love this scene of him going full mask-off about him being a huge yugioh nerd (especially as someone who grew up playing those yugioh gba games. If I was a symbolism nerd I'd say his section is symbolic of his own plan for the game: The four mechanics fighting with each other endlessly, neither side really making any progress until it just sort of ends abruptly. It also shows his own ignorance, despite portraying himself as the wise wizard, he has no real knowledge of the OLD_DATA becuase if he did, he would know that his game is not worth it.
We don't know what exactly is in the OLD_DATA but we know its BAD. I'm gonna be diving into some speculation here, but my personal interpretation so far is that Hex and Iscryption canonically connected through Gamefuna, and my belief is that there is another connection to Pony Island that just hasn't been made itself known yet.
What I know is Gamefuna was the company in the Hex and caused the events of that game AND Gamefuna was also the developer of Inscryption in-universe. Its not unreasonable to assume Gamefuna used the same tools to create Inscryption that they did to make all the other games they made in The Hex, and my theory the toolkit they used came from the same place Pony Island did. (Keeping things vague cuz I dont want to spoil the other games as well, but definitely recommend playing both for a deeper understanding of Inscryption)

Day 1 – First Kiss (WARNING - I THINK IT'S PRETTY CRINGE. I HAVE NOT HAD MUCH IN THE NAME OF ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS. MIGHT RUIN MY IMAGE FOR YOU. IGNORANCE IS BLISS (but, in my humble opinion, so is the last part.)
“Dickhead!” Tina shouted at the screen. The referee was holding up a yellow card and pointing aggressively towards one of the players. All the other boys in the room shouted with loose synonmys to Tina’s declaration.
Tom, on the other hand, frowned at the screen, trying to recount how many players had been to the right of the line. Or left. Both? He turned to Tina and before he could say anything, she was explaining the whole situation:
“See, when the Al- green team is attacking there, they can’t have more than 3 players behind a triangle formed by the Tham- blues, let’s call them. Unless, of course, they have one player between the middle guy and the goalie. Get it?”
“Honestly, not a single idea and I guess it’s fine this way. But please, tell me about it again. Or maybe about something else - soccer turns out to be slightly out of my reach, you see.” Tom said, slightly surprised at how confident he sounded. Was there something in the water he’d been drinking?
Tina chuckled, took a step closer while glancing at the screen (It appeared to Tom that absolutely nothing had changed, but his friends were all so invested in the game that nobody turned around to tease him about his ignorance.) and said, “Well, you tell me about something.”
“What? Why? Is it because-” There was definitely something in the water.
“Yes. Cuter when nerding out, like I bet I was just now.” Tina was acting rather flirty today. Tom glanced at the bottle she’d been holding. Catching his eye, she poured some into his glass.
Tom took a shy sip, eyeing the game. The score had gone up by one. “Ehh…Nothing right now.” Then, in a quieter voice: “Not with all this noise.”
Tina rolled her eyes and grabbed Tom’s hand, tugging him along to the balcony. Once there, with delightfully fresh nighttime air, she said, “Hopefully that solves your diva complex. Now, Dungeons. Or the late 90’s tech stuff. Hell, basketball.”
“I still don’t get how you just don’t like basketball when you are content with sitting there watching twenty guys run around some ball for an hour and a half.” Tom argued.
“And I still don’t get how you don’t like football when you are way too happy to sit and watch tall, sweaty guys run around and jump with a ball for an hour. Wait, does that ring any bells with you?” Tina mocked him.
“Hey, basketball’s much more intricate! Even just getting a rebound requires you to position yourself ahead of time, gain control over the area and evade-” he’d taken the bait, and could have gone on for a decent amount of time had Tina not kissed him.
It was awkward. Could have been because of the background noise from the TV and the living room. Or, it could have been because Tom had been caught unprepared. And extremely uninformed. Still, his heartbeat matched to those playing in the soccer match as Tina pulled him closer.
“You’re very stupid.” Tina said, pulling herself away from the kiss.
“Y-” Tom had to use all the will in the world to get back to thinking, at Tina’s muse.
“Pfft, you dumbass. You’ll get some practice.” She laughed, a laugh of joy, alcohol and surprise. “I was trying to use tongue, Tom.”
Tom, who had gotten his brain back, was now dealing with the thoughts this thing brought. “It’s my first time.” The words came out more as a lament than protest, and Tom let out a sigh, a smile creeping up his face. “I know, I know. You’ll get some practice.” Tina said. “But, Tommy, I jsut can’t be bothered today.” And she again

I wanna know your opinion on the new episodes that dropped (if you’ve watched them yet)
I personally feel Penalteam was way too rushed and Qilin was convoluted to hell and back
Let's start with things I liked:
Qilin:
Sabine is just amazing? Everywhere? It's so cool to see that Marinette inherited her quick thinking from Sabine, and it's nice to see the life of someone else for once.
Ladybug should've let Qilin maim a few cops. As a treat. Especially that meter maid on a power trip. I was nervous that Qilin would be a lesser version of Stormy Weather (just having wind powers) but it's cool that she can split the earth and levitate things as heavy as police vans without even moving from her spot.
Chat Noir really shined in his scenes, I'm proud of him.
The contrast of Qilin shaking off her akuma because Ladybug fulfilled a promise to Penalteam shaking off her akuma because they managed to make her hate soccer and her clone team is really funny to me (and again proves how cool Sabine is)
Penal Team:
The Pre-akuma soccer game was fun, and so was the banter. Cracks me up that Alix wanted a girl vs boy duel and Kim was like "but then we'll LOSE!" XD. And finding out Sabrina and Marc are soccer nerds, like, whoda thunk? (And Nathaniel dragging his feet is such a mood, like, no I DON'T want to kick a ball I want to DRAW plz)
Adrien doesn't know how to play soccer? Uhhhh (Furious Fu Flashbacks) guess he's just good at improv.
Bustier I-always-have-Chloe's-back got red carded first, yessss.
The sheer scale of doing a city wide soccer game with super heroes is just awesome to watch, like, yes, launch the ball half way across Paris to Ladybug.
I'm glad to know the remaining powers, they're pretty cool and I can see them being very useful in multiple situations.
The ability "Fetch" was cute, especially the way Miss Tracker played off her touching the ball with her...dog whistle? Guys this episode was recorded on a potato so I might've missed some details visually.
Again, it's very funny that after Roi Singe uses Uproar on Penalteam, they get so annoyed with each other that Chloe basically hands over the akuma object to make them all go away.
I like that being a hero makes Nathaniel want to join the team to play soccer and I like that Sabrina stands her ground when Chloe wants her to stop playing and join her on the bench.
Aaaand now the things that annoy me:
Qilin -
How you gonna have Sabine show off her being so rooted in her heritage but pretend she didn't teach Marinette even basic phrases in her language?
You put Lila in her art class WHY? She's not even DOING anything, you could've put ANYONE there! It's like the Adrien Rule where they shove her into places she's not needed and doesn't do anything so that we don't forget she exists!
Roger, dude, you KNOW she's not making up a daughter, you could at LEAST back her up on THAT. And thanks a lot Bus Driver Dude who SAW HER USE HER TICKETS, you don't want to say ANYTHING in her defense after she gave you free food? You're all trash.
Marinette shouldn't have taken responsibility for a up-himself meter maid on a power trip harassing her mom and shouldn't have offered to pay, that was the most shoved in, forced, last second "let's make this about Marinette's failings" thing and it wasn't NECESSARY. This episode really said ACAB but still made the victim of injustice apologize to the Cop.
Seeing the Charms now just makes me depressed, congrats Sabine, that'll be useless one episode from now.
PenalTeam -
Bustier really put together this team building exercise for the class that acts like a Hive Mind, like, this class is nearly always in sync because otherwise they'd be individuls
I know Chloe hates Ladybug now or whatever but no one around her is freaked out that she's openly talking about waiting for Shadowmoth to help her get her "revenge" now?? No one else hears this shit???? Hell, THAT could've been Sabrina's wake up call, cuz, wut?!
I hate Mega Akumas. They could've at least made it that Shadowmoth needed to sacrifice a protective Charm to make a Mega Akuma. With Chloe actively on his side, she could've just handed hers over at some point, that even would've solidified her ACTUALLY working with him.
Penalty (the akuma is named Penalty and her team is PenalTeam and it took me too long to put that together) casts this giant yellow net over the city as like "boundaries" and it puts a gross yellow filter over the episode which is why all the screenshots and leaks up to this point have looked like shit.
While it was meta smart to get Alix and Alya out of the way early to justify not giving Alix a miraculous in The Team episode and also not give away that Alya still has the Fox, it is sad that they also used this method to get rid of Viperion and Ryuko (who would've been OP against this akuma) and Pigella (who is pretty useless powerwise...but so was Polymouse, so, wut?). Just kinda thought if they were gonna summon the whole team, they'd USE the whole team.
I'm sad that the remaining heroes didn't get a debut episode to prove themselves as heroic. I said the same for Party Crasher back with Kim's debut, but at least he exchanged SOME DIALOGUE with Fu. Here, it comes across like they weren't chosen because they're good people who deserve it. Hell, half of them were all but told "I chose you cuz you're good at soccer lol."
Also sad we didn't get transformation sequences or kwami intros that played up their individual personalities. I was looking forward to learning a little about Orikko who even in MOB episodes doesn't get many lines.
Also to give all 4 new heroes the same "Oh I can't be a hero because of [x] reason" speech to make Ladybug give them a "pep talk" to speed run justify them getting Miraculouses instead of, idk, BUILDING THEM UP AS HEROES was ughhhhh.
It's just extra frustrating because "Simpleman" exists instead of valid hero episode.
Though I liked the powers, it felt very contrived the way they tried to justify Caprikid's because it barely played into defeating PenalTeam. They made a big deal of it, but they could've just lied or skipped to Roi Singe's uproar. Caprikid probably could've used a different episode to showcase his ability (Genesis) to create anything he wanted.
They had Ladybug decide not to pass the ball ONE TIME and tried to make the episode about calling her out for not being a TEAM PLAYER alkdjfakldfj WUT?! She's been using her fellow team mates ALL SEASON, it's the BACKBONE of her and Chat Noir's beef, and now you wanna pull an "Antibug" and just PRETEND the rest of the season doesn't exist?! She even coordinated perfectly with Alya at the bEGINNING OF THE EPISODE, JUST LIKE WHEN LADYBUG LISTENED PATIENTLY TO THE BULTER IN "ANTIBUG" YET WAS CHASTISED FOR NOT LISTENING TO OTHERS LAKJFLAF!
Minotaurox's ability (Resistance) repels PenalTeam away from him like opposing magnets when they get too close, but the commentator says that his power makes him "impervious to all other powers"? But that's not what happened? If they wanted to show THAT then PenalTeam should've been shown red carding or touching him with her cleats but nothing happens. That's just a niggle since the commentator has no way in universe to know what the fuck he's talking about. It's just weird the writers gave him lines that are straight up lies.
Rooster Bold's ability (Supplemation) is so OP and a literal game changer if used right. He can choose any power he wants (I initially thought that meant he could "borrow" powers from his teammates or the akuma) but no! He just SAYS "I choose the power to score a goal every time I shoot the ball". So if he just said "I choose the power to teleport misused Miraculouses with the snap of my fingers..."
I cannot believe they gave Lila her first lines of the season to TEAM UP WITH CHLOE with 10 SECONDS OF THE EPISODE LEFT LKAJFLADFJ!
I can’t believe I forgot to mention that Rooster Bold DOESN’T USE HIS KNIFE!
#I had a lot more to say about Penalteam because I was live 'tweeting' in discord so I have notes to look back on#qilin#penalteam#ml salt#qilin salt#penalteam salt#an essay by zoe

League of Hikikomori
AU where everyone in the League of Villains is a hikikomori.
Tomura doesn't want to meet people IRL, he just wants to game and casually leak society-changing governmental data to fulfil his villainy quota. (All for One can't even say anything against his pupil's methods because they turn out to be more successful than whatever he's been trying for the last 200 years lol)
Dabi stays at home despite (or maybe because) Endeavor hasn't changed at all. His vengeance is a little... more personal, so to speak. He reveals himself to his father in the most dramatic way possible (all bloody tears and "Why didn't you search for me?" and "You've easily replaced me with Shouto, haven't you?!" and screaming himself raw - all the fun things that are definitely not his actual real feelings... nu-uh) and makes Endeavor take care of him (financially, because that idiot doesn't know how else to take care of Dabi) as well as making him back off of Shouto by merely being in the boy's presence. Endeavor takes one look at a heavily scarred mentally ill Dabi for once peacefully sitting with the brother he wanted to kill and just walks out again. Dabi becomes an absolute menace btw, like he "accidentally" develops a convenient shopping addiction and online shops day and night with his father's credit card. He heads into online gaming and buys cosmetics with real life money all the time. (That man has every single unlockable Genshin Impact character despite only having played the game for two weeks.) Endeavor can’t even say anything because that’d mean having to sit down with his suicidal kid to have a heart-to-heart and that’d be majorly uncomfortable. So he just doesn’t do anything at all.
Himiko ends up meeting Jin before she can do anything drastic and both of them live in a decrepit cheap apartment because Himiko’s parents are shitty. They get money by becoming TikTokers and their fans send them cute outfits, which has both of them getting into cosplay because of that. Once Himiko’s done with middle school, she opts to go to online classes instead and then there’s practically no reason for either of them to leave the house. (Long story short: Jin and Himiko are anxiety-ridden cosplay dance nerds.)
Shuichi, just like Tomura, isn’t keen on meeting people IRL. He has a mutant quirk and is therefore no stranger to discrimination. In the streaming scene, he’s known as the chill guy who’s giving out advice to fellow mutant types and telling stories about his own experiences. Twitch streamer “Spinner2Winner” doesn’t feel the need to go out and spread the word of Stain, when he can do it more efficiently in front of the PC. (Though, because he’s been receiving so much positive feedback, he’s in a much more positive headspace to evaluate Stain’s ideology and ends up being pro Stain’s idea but anti Stain’s execution of his ideals.)
Magne is a transwoman living in a transphobic area. Hell no, she’s not going to go out more often than she needs to. She can do her small fashion business online as well, without having to worry about assholes treating her like shit for who she is. In the confines of her apartment, she’s starting to bloom and truly embrace herself – doing yoga, wearing whatever she wants to wear, applying make-up however much she wants to put on and realizing her dreams of becoming a recognized and respected fashion designer. She’s also been saving up money for a small house and with the steadily rising interest in her brand, it’s not looking as impossible as it once did.
Mr Compress is a magician on YouTube... the end. There’s really not much to say. He lost his job, he has no interest in unnecessarily endangering himself but he still wants to do magic tricks – so YouTube it is. He just has that flair of dramatics that people love and he isn’t afraid of buying expensive equipment and learning how to edit to make his videos an Experience instead of just a few neat tricks in a row. He’s able to live quite comfortably off of monetization.
And then they all meet on Twitter and the weirdest friendship group in human history is born.

Frog (maining Bard back then) was secretly very amused by G'raha's routine in the forest, to the point of giving him credit for being plausibly a mysterious forest trickster spirit and she was just sad she already knew some other guy had been sent to do this task and had taken so long that Rammbroes had sent her to do it instead/as well, so she already knew exactly who would be after the exact same thing as her. So when it came to work ethic/teamwork/just explaining yourself and admitting a failure she gave him a D- on his report card for causing problems. And continuing to try to be cool on introduction. Like, the trying too hard vibes of this guy. Wowww.
Once his actual purpose and backstory came out she forgave him some more of that and stopped pitying him quite so hard and gave him a second chance, because he was actually quite similar to her and maybe that was what caused some more of her initial kneejerk "please stop" response to his antics... She can't help being earnest and heroic and neither can he, but at least she wasn't a nerd about it, you know?
She also rolled a critical social failure which levelled them out a bit when they were discussing the whole Allagan eye thing. She has a mysterious pink-bleached eye and patches in her hair, but her natural colour for both is dark red. Wires crossed as he angsted about his eye, she said "I have an odd magic red eye too!" (which is blatantly wrong) and her attempt to comfort him/relate to him ended up with them laughing together, and G'raha swearing he'd help her uncover the secrets of her (again, totally normal) red eye some day after her help here.
So she was just warming up to him as a friend when he went and sealed himself away >:(
In a moment of narrative parallels to their first meeting she immediately saw right through him as soon as she clapped eyes on the Crystal Exarch in that first vision. Like, oho, we're playing another game, are we G'raha? So when he sent her to the Syrcus Trench she was just excited to see what G'raha was up to. She was trusting him on the spot without question to the point where she assumed things like knocking her friends' souls out of their bodies was part of the plan, and also that she might be dealing with current timeline G'raha, so the time travel and chaotic vast scope of it all was the only real surprise once she began to get to grips with what was going on in the First.
When he lied and said that he had no idea who G'raha was or that he'd ever existed, she knew she had to play along, because that lie was so blatantly incorrect to her, never mind the waist-height catboy with G'raha's lower face visible was telling her these things, that she had to assume this was all part of the Grand Plan and the game they'd be playing. It also meant she trusted him fully even when the plan started unravelling, or the aether began to make her sick and she knew she had to grin and bear it and this was part of the struggle and she was willingly signing up to it for G'raha's sake. And to the point that overhearing Y'shtola grilling Urianger, she assumed that without question Urianger was being mysterious again for good reasons and Y'shtola had taken the wrong direction here, which she hated because Y'shtola had been such a guide to her and she felt bad that Y'shtola was too realistic and smart to FALL for the game, but had been left out of it and was also way too sensible to play it, which should have made Frog doubt why SHE was playing it, but everything she saw of the Exarch made her realise what an incredible person G'raha had become and she was rapidly falling down the rabbit hole of thinking he was a total badass and could do no wrong. Belated apologies were made to Y'shtola for just being a good friend and looking out for her.
Like, eventually, ShB is a lesson in "okay I have notes on how EVERYONE handled that situation" and as the player I was more sceptical of many things, but in character the only things that ever surprised Frog were moments when the Exarch was not actually perfectly in control or on top of things because she just assumed he'd achieved the pinnacle of wizardly awesomeness and was 3D-chess-ing way harder than he actually was, which, given the plot of Shadowbringers, was quite a leap of imagination to add MORE to that... Bless her. To be fair, no one could have anticipated Emet-Selch just having a gun.
Post ShB-MSQ after all the tearful reveals and drama and catboy rescuing, she realised maaaaaybe she had overreacted in certain ways herself because she had fallen a liiiittle bit in love with the catboy, and maaaaybe that had coloured her judgement but also he HAD been right and good, even if this was all a huge weird mess. Like is it actually wrong to wholeheartedly go along with some nonsense if it does actually end up saving multiple worlds at the end of the day? We literally did a whole side emotional arc about Urianger reconciling with the Minfilia problem he caused and how he and Thancred fell in love and became dads over it.
So in the chunk of the story where he's wandering around hood down but still firmly going by "Crystal Exarch" she cautiously began trying to scope out how he actually felt about her, except now he was doubling down on being all cool and mysterious even AFTER his face reveal and pretending like her yelling his name hadn't reduced him to tearful goo. Like maybe he'd just changed so much as a person that he wasn't actually relationship material or interested, and this was all some sort of weird nostalgia from who The Exarch had once been and she was willing things into existence - but nope, he sure was slipping up and acting gooey about her or wanting to go on adventures with her and that was definitely him letting his guard down... Before she ever came up with a plan for how to get him truly to drop the act and let her in emotionally, he went and did that and turned into a useless lump of rock in front of her, and that made her more annoyed at him than she'd ever been about any of his previous antics.
Er, which meant that when she finally got his soul back to the Source after gingerly carrying it around and not being shy talking loudly in front of it about how much she'd cared for him, she immediately kissed him on returning him to his body, once she was sure it had worked and she wasn't giving ARR!G'raha the shock of his life, because while he was fun and all, it was his Exarch-y behaviour that had won her over. Though she does have to reconcile that she'd taken a room in the Rising Stones with a view of the tower and been wishing G'raha goodnight every time she slept there, for example. Like, maybe this had been going on a little longer than she'd thought. Who knows!
Most of their relationship after that going into EW is just G'raha being stunned that he's allowed good things, and Frog mourning the fact that after all the annoying Tias she met, and how she ranked him right at the top of the top 10 of Most Annoying Tias, he still somehow won her over, and then reverted right back to being an annoying Tia with flashes of brilliance whenever she starts thinking about investing in a spray bottle, but it's too late. He's her annoying Tia and now she has a literal pocket sized boyfriend and knows the lengths they'd go to for each other, so no amount of complaining about the petty everyday stuff will ever overcome their big epic romance. Also she can pick him up by the scruff of the neck and shake him if he's too weird about something, and to his credit he IS calming down and getting more comfortable in his skin by the end of EW and the lessons learned therein :') I feel like a lot of UT's plot with him was quite wearisome for Frog who had already experienced this entire range of emotions but G'raha had been a step behind and actually needed that more than her, because sometimes living multiple lifetimes you still don't get a hint, and Frog is like. 21. And has already figured it all out on that front before him.
Sometimes you go on an epic character arc from "bully the catboy" to "bully the catboyfriend"
I have a Very Important question for all the wolgraha folks out there
What kind of relationship did your wol have with g'raha during CT, and how did that develop through shb and ew?
Please tell me your wolgraha stories, I am holding up the microphone and I'm very excited to hear y'all's stuff

“Don’t you ever get tired?” You take a quick glance at your best friend as he folds up another piece of paper with a phone number written on it.
“Of what?”
“Of everyone in this school falling head over heels for you,” You say like it’s the most obvious thing in the world, proceeding to look back down at your notes. In reality, you were trying to prevent yourself from looking at the cute (albeit, confused) way your best friend was staring at you over your abrupt question.
“Well I can’t say I’m not flattered, but there aren’t really that many people yn,”
A total lie, you think to yourself. Every time you two walked around campus, your best friend attracted the adoring stares of all your classmates like some hotshot celebrity. Yes, he was popular, and yes, he totally deserved it, but if everyone knew how dorky he was, maybe they wouldn’t be so quick to hand him their number after a single conversation.
Another lie, if everyone knew what a nerd Jeon Wonwoo actually was, they’d probably fall for him harder. You would know of course, first hand experience taught you a lot of things.
It taught you how endearing it was when Wonwoo wore oversized clothing, so that he could pull the sleeves over his palms when sipping on a hot drink at the local campus cafe. It made you realize his habit of pushing his glasses up his nose, because he was too stubborn to get the bridge adjusted. It made your insides melt whenever he was nervous because he had a habit of fiddling with his fingers. You were certain that if anyone was completely head over heels and absolutely smitten by him, it was definitely you.
“Not many people my ass,” you scoffed, “you spoke to her once, just once! And now you are holding her number.” Wonwoo laughs at your poor attempt at hiding your annoyance, “For your information, we were talking about a group project, and exchanging contact information. Nothing more, and nothing less.”
You gave a little huff before going back to pretend-studying, you definitely couldn’t focus when he was sitting right across from you. You knew you were more prone to jumping to conclusions nowadays, and you hoped that Wonwoo didn’t notice your shift in behaviour. In reality, you couldn’t help but feel a little pang of worry whenever your best friend was asked out on another date. And while he rejected the offer every time, you worried that one day he might say yes and you could lose him forever.
Not that you were against Wonwoo falling in love someday. If he found a good person that he wanted to be with for the rest of his life, you would support him in a heartbeat. It was just the selfish feeling that blossomed in your chest that prevented you from feeling any true happiness for these kinds of situations, and you hated it.
You knew that he would never abandon you completely, because Wonwoo was the best friend you could ever ask for. But you also knew that it would kill you inside to see him sweep someone else off their feet.
You’ve known Wonwoo since high school, and you definitely harboured a puppy crush on him all of first year. This was back when he was still trading pokemon cards in the gym stairwell and poking at you to buy him something from the milk vending machine. The crush went away eventually and you found yourself enjoying the rest of your high school career with your closest confidant by your side.
Once you both entered university, Wonwoo had a sudden growth spurt that now put him a total head taller than you. He no longer lurked at the stairwells during lunch and instead made lots of new friends that he went out for coffee with. He started dressing nicer, and once he exchanged his old glasses for a pair of round silver ones that rested on his nose so perfectly, he instantly transformed into someone straight out of a kdrama.
Now, you have caught feelings again. And you’re scared to admit that this time a puppy crush doesn’t even encapsulate everything you’ve been feeling lately. Of course Wonwoo’s sudden change in appearance didn’t spark anything new in your feelings towards him. It was the fact that he had a new air around him that was just completely different.
Wonwoo in high school was shy, and you loved him for who he was. You two had your own small circle of friends and you would spend all your time reading or playing games in his bedroom. Wonwoo in college however, was breaking out of his shell and being the first to approach people and make new friends. He was still introverted of course, shyness and introvertedness were two different things after all. But you were proud to see Wonwoo take the initiative to make plans more often and reach out.
Wonwoo has also gotten a lot more comfortable around you. He’s grown fond of resting his head on your shoulder after a long day of classes, and wrapping you in his sweaters whenever you came by his flat. In conclusion, everything about university student Wonwoo, was driving you, (and probably the entire campus) crazy.
“Hello? yn? Don’t you have a class soon?”
You swat away the hand that was waving in front of your face to meet the eyes of the cause of all your heart troubles. One smile from Wonwoo and you were in shambles. You had it really, really bad. “Right, right, sorry I was just...distracted.”
“We’re still on for tonight right? You can just head straight to my dorm after your last class.”
“Of course Won, did you really think I was going to miss out on another rewatch of Extraordinary You?”
“Of course not,” Wonwoo chuckled. You were met with another one of those soft gazes from him, and you immediately tried to break your stare. Something in your heart tells you that you should just confess right now, and that Wonwoo was a sensible individual who wouldn’t let go of your friendship if he didn’t feel the same way.
“Hey Won, can I tell you something after class later?”
“Of course.” There was that smile again. If you weren’t so busy trying to slow your heart rate down, you would have caught the way his eyes brightened at hearing your question, and the way he looked down to twindle with his fingers.
You give Wonwoo your own smile before heading off to your last detour of the day.
Sleepovers with Wonwoo always consisted of a mountain of blankets, a never ending pile of snacks and a show to watch before eventually both of you fell asleep. When you arrived at his flat just as he was adding the finishing touches to a home cooked dinner, you realized that sleepovers with Wonwoo also consisted of another thing: Your tragic inability to keep your heart rate down.
“Dinner will be ready in a bit, you can just wash up and get changed for now,” Wonwoo turns to greet you before adding some pepper to the tteokbokki.
You nod and head over to his bathroom, where you already find your change of clothes resting on the counter. Any outsider would have been under the impression that you and Wonwoo lived together, considering that pieces of you were scattered all over his apartment. From the matching toothbrushes that were kept by the sink, to the drawer reserved only for your clothes in his bedroom.
The only reason that you and Wonwoo didn’t room together upon entering university, was the fact that your parents were wary of you rooming with a boy you weren’t even dating. Not that it mattered now, considering that you at least spent two nights at his place away from your own dorm.
After you showered and changed into your pajamas, you realized that Wonwoo had given you one of his sweaters to wear, instead of the usual shirts you slept in. Usually you would have raided his bedroom after dinner to steal one (you slept much better when you wore his clothing) but this time it appeared that he had taken the initiative for you.
Once you stepped out of the bathroom, you saw that Wonwoo was already sitting at the dining table and was on his phone. It looked like he was texting someone, and you felt your heart sink a little when he laughed at a message. No, you are not going to be jealous. You are going to be happy for your friend because he deserves all the happiness in the world.
“Is that the girl from your group project?” You sat down across from him and started piling the tteokbokki and rice onto your plate. “Yeah, she said that the professor just sent out a mass email to our class, saying that we were going to be given an extension. Turns out that email was meant for another course, but everyone is already celebrating the new deadline.”
Wonwoo shuts off his phone and turns to you, “Was there something you wanted to tell me today?”
Right. You were going to confess your feelings. It was now or never, and you weren’t sure if you could hold it in much longer. “I can just tell you after dinner, I’m starving.”
Tragic. Tragic. Tragic. Why couldn’t you just say the words, “Hey Won, I have feelings for you, do you feel the same way?” Must you be in a spiraling paradox of questioning the presence of unrequited love in the relationship you had with your best friend? Yes, most definitely yes. Since the world likes to make everything difficult for those in love.
Dinner was eaten in a comfortable silence for the most part. You liked that you never felt the need to fill the air with more conversation whenever you were with Wonwoo. There were days where you would just sit in each other’s presence and do your own thing, and those days left you with lots of time to ponder on your feelings for him. Tonight was the night that you were going to say these feelings aloud for the first time...you just needed a bit more time to procrastinate.
After you both finished your food, you relocated yourselves to the couch. You fidgeted with the end of your (his) sweater while Wonwoo searched for the show on Netflix. You figured that you would let him know in the morning, since there was a chance that you two would fall asleep before the episode ended. And you didn’t want to confess beforehand either, in fear of having to endure a brutal one hour of awkward tension if he didn’t feel the same way.
“Who would have thought that out of all the days the wifi could have chosen to bail on us, they chose the day where we were going to find out whether Haru belonged to Dan-oh’s story or not,” Wonwoo fiddles with the remote some more, while you panic in silence at the thought of spending the night with no distractions from your feelings.
“It’s not like we don’t already know how it ends,” You take deep quiet breaths to calm yourself down, you can definitely make it through the night, “We can just do other things.”
“What do you have in mind?”
You couldn’t answer him right away. The only thing you had on your mind was the fact that Wonwoo’s hand was now resting on your knee and that it was baffling how good he could look in pajamas. Wonwoo, sensing your inability to form words nervously glanced up at you before moving the conversation in a different direction, “Look, I know you had something to tell me today yn, but I realized that I wanted to share something with you too. I am in love-”
“I am in love with you Jeon Wonwoo!”
There. You blurted out a long-awaited confession before the anticipation consumed you whole. You couldn’t tear your eyes away from your hands in fear of seeing the look on Wonwoo’s face.
“Let me hear you say it again.”
“What?” You turn to Wonwoo, who no longer looked nervous. Instead, he wore the biggest shit-eating grin on his face that made you want to both kiss and strangle him. “Say it again.”
“Not when you look like you just won the lottery you nerd, you didn’t even say-”
“I am in love with you too yn.”
Well, you were never one to complain about the fact that your feelings were returned. But the way Wonwoo was cooing at your adorable expression of shock only made you want to shove him off the couch.
Which you proceeded to do.
“Hey! Aren’t you happy that I like you too?”
“Of course I’m happy! You didn’t have to try to beat me to my confession though, tonight was going to be my night!”
“You didn’t seem like you were going to say anything for the rest of the evening! You were going to wait until the next day weren’t you?”
Absolutely yes. “No!”
Any remaining tension in the atmosphere washed away as you and Wonwoo made fun of each other on the living room floor. You were beyond relieved and a little giddy that your best friend in the whole wide world saw you in the way that you saw him.
“But on a more serious note Won, were you also going to confess tonight too?”
“Actually no, but once you came out of the washroom wearing my sweater, I just had to say it before I tackled you with cuddles or something.”
“You gave me your sweater instead of my clothes to wear!”
“I know!” Wonwoo was holding your hand now and rubbing circles into your palm. The idea of cuddling the entire night didn’t sound so bad. “But you looked all nervous and shy and I was hoping that you were going to be the one to say something first.”
“Can we just agree that we confessed at the same time?” As the adrenaline from the confession began to slip away you suddenly became very tired, and you were hoping to just spend the night in the arms of your favourite person.
“Deal. So can we cuddle now?”
