When you're so fanon and yaoi dimorphism rotten, you go "hey guys, what if canon Jiang Cheng? I want canon Jiang Cheng!" jc stans truly don't like Jiang Cheng, lmfao.
Anyways, look at Wang Zhuocheng talking about Jiang Cheng because no one understands him better than this guy does.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rabid dog Jiang Zongzhu, you turly are a pathetic loserman.
ok jiang cheng renaissance time. back to basics. hard-edged steel-grade-dignified turning-up-his-nose jiang cheng who spits venom takes names and doesn't care to be outwardly soft because it was never his strong point anyway. a jiang cheng who's gruff and starts fights with anyone who'll try him, yes partly because he's standing up for his sect but at this point it's mostly because he just likes to yell and incite fear and he doesn't need a noble reason to be a bitch he can just be an argumentative asshole because he wants to be and he's got the flourishing sect to back him up on it now.
i want him to be in the wrong sometimes and never sorry for it. i want him to use a nasty tone and not give a fuck and not change himself because he's already succeeding as the person he is and hell if he'd lower his head to anyone for old luxuries like closure. time was his closure. he's done, he's mean, he's allowed to be. he was born full of barbs, grew up full of barbs, and flourished full of barbs. if he feels fulfilled and satisfied as he is, why should he ever change? he can fix his problems in his own way. he can find peace without sanding down his edges. he likes his edges. so what? so what? who says his happiness is wrong just because he doesn't fold and become sweet and gentle upon finding it? he'll do whatever he wants and that might include making you cry and never apologising for it. so what? so what? that's jiang-zongzhu to you.

Holding out hope that the writing in veilguard will get more bearable but rook saying to lucanis that it's "not nice that Spite hurt him" and he "shouldn't accept that it’s fine bc it wouldn't be ok if a person did that" like. That is a demon. Built off a single emotion called SPITE. Rook I am finding it really hard to believe that u have lived in thedas for more than 30 seconds.
#wow the demons which are one of the consistently evil forces in these games did something bad#hey players do you know that that was not nice#ok thank you. do u think I am 4#dav spoilers#veilguard spoilers#dragon age the veilguard#also grinding my gears that everyone (including dalish elves???) just immediately accept the evanuris are evil/have come back#like the first person to not immediately believe it is the first warden and honestly he is the only character so far I respect#like maybe if this was like inquisition and a huge hole in the sky/rifts opened everywhere#but it seems like nothing like that happened but everyone somehow magically knows about the ritual and instantly believes everything rook sa#the more I think about these things the more annoyed I get#guys did you know being a leader means u sometimes need to make hard decisions... varric taught me that in my ma15+ game#i am enjoying the combat at least lol and I like Bellara and want to see Babylon so I'm in it for the long haul#why does everyone have a gun to their head making them nice though like it's so painfully out of place sometimes#and being able to only say the same thing but in a slightly boring slightly funny or slightly serious way is driving me insane#like I seem to be the only one who had no problem w the limits on dialogue in inquisition but this is driving me insane#Mourn watch rook what if you were somehow boring and nice. yay thank you bioware#ALSO rook stop talking and forming opinions without me getting to choose what u say like no I don't want u to day we have to save that perso#ok I swear I'm done now.. I need to go back to writing my thesis instead of grinding my teeth about this game#this is all coming from an inquisition enjoyer as well (sorry) but like so far I have found nothing I enjoyed about inquisition in this game#maybe if the inquisitor and Ghilan'nain are cool latee on I can focus on that (big maybe)#I am only early on still (just met first warden) so there is still time... i guess..

#Alright lil blog update. Running the reblogs queue again tonight (yay!). Been procrastinating it for like? four months now?#I'm not going to fix the order anymore in a crazy pattern that only I can see. And like the point as always been#“it's only for myself‚ because I like seeing the posts all ordinately lined up ☺️”. But it does start being a problem when.#It actually blocks me from reblogging alltogether. Or makes me end up with 978 posts in the queue and 15584 in the drafts#(lol) (yeah)#Anyways had to write it down publicly because last time I said “screw it I'm not going to post in order anymore”#I lasted exactly one (1) day#Mmmmmmmmhhhhhhhh#I need to make space in the queue so I've set 20 posts in the night / morning for the time being.#Probably going to tag less because again. the posts are piling up. Sorry everyone#So like... After this string of disappointing (and possibly irrelevant?) updates. Feel free to unfollow me etc. etc.#(Mututals included? I really hold no bad feeling I know I post a lot. I don't care about mutualism if we're friends we're friends)#Have a nice day / night!!!#random rambles#Btw for anyone wondering my previous queue lineup was 4 fanarts / 2 other category posts / 4 fanarts / 2 other category posts etc.#(other category could be like. gifsets together. analysis together. textposts of approximately the same length together etc. )#And fanarts had to be coherent between each other for characters / composition / oftentimes color palette#Anyways. Winning over ocd today 💪💪#(I say as I didn't pick this month specifically because the second half of the year starts together with it. Anyways)#ManBreakingChainsMeme.png#Edit: Just remembered this all started because I accidentally hit shuffle queue two or three weeks ago#When it happened I had a mental breakdown and cried for two hours but looking back. Maybe it was really godsent

#this post brought to you by: me#i. applied for a preapproval letter for a mortgage yesterday. and spoke to a realtor to start finding me houses#i want to move several states away which further complicated things. but the houses there are CHEAP#like under 100k for a 2 bedroom move in ready#anyways i got approved for 80k with a 20k down payment. and im FREAKING THE FUCK OUT#and because i got that pre app letter i have a loan officer calling me today to talk#and we literally work at the same bank so i can SEE that hes active and hasnt read my message#even though its been 45 minutes. KEVIN MESSAGE ME BACK. IM NOT GONNA BE ABLE TO FOCUS UNTIL I DO THIS CALL#AHHHHHHH S C R E A M. it might happening!!!! i might be finally.mov8ng out in a few months!!!#i mgiht be a HOMEOWNER by the end of the year#i have been saving money for this since i was. 16? 17?#ive had a good well paying job since i was 18.#AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH#once i have a house then i start job searching in that area. and start getting really serious about LEAVING my very good job#which is soooo scary. this job was supposed to be my lifelong career. but then everyone fucking moved to other states and left me behind#so theres no point staying here.#i might never have this kind of job security again.#but also my realtor said that theres a lot of bank jobs in that area so maybe itll be easy to find something#on the fence on if i tell my parents that im Making Moves right now#on one hand its hard to not talk about it becuae im STRESSED TF OUT#but on the other hand when i tentatively mentioned the state i want to move to#richard started yelling and swearing el oh el#might be better to wait and avoid the tension as long as possible?#but also i dont know how they can stay angry when its literally my best option#the other places where my friends live either have 0 opportunity and high housing prices. or are even moe liberal than where im going#idk. why do half of my problems come down to “my parents will be mad” like im a 12 year old or something. shit fucking sucks#this is why i want to get out of here#also it feels weird and bad to talk to my friends about how stressed i am about buying a house when all of them are stressed about#not being able to make rent or something. my problems feel like a brag in a really odd and shitty way. but hey!#if this works out maybe ill start being stressed about how im going to make my mortgage payments! :') yay!

kicking my feet giggling at the winter performance rehearsal dynamics of neji antagonizing the class for their own good, ignoring his own issues; kisa being the concerned angel who flocks to the people who need help in response, ignoring her own issues; and mitsuki flailing at trying to be a good senpai and using his kisa and neji radars as a crutch to figure out what obstacles to remove so the class can finally give him and kisa space to work out their problems (of course, this does not happen. so he's forced to improv onstage as rukiora. oh the irony of mitsu being a very private person, forced to resolve his personal relationship issues in front of an audience)

Winx au(S3)
here's season 1 with the initial notes :3
Now onto season 3!
This time we start with the group returning to NRC. Well, on their extra days there they played around with Sebek's enchantix and reported everything to Trein.
Poor man just massaged his temples. Spirits can have headaches apparently. :'3
To ease up the work, Idia was helping out Sebek with coming in terms with his enchantix. The situation really wasn't giving any motive to be happy about it, so Idia is helping him navigate through his new powers.
Meanwhile, Epel did have a heart to heart with his grandma, who was very proud of him, but also warned him to be careful. He didn't want to worry his grandma, so Epel took more of the meditation route like Sebek as the rest decided to focus more on their new acquisition: the captured prince Mangor.
It would be no surprise that after they returned, the prince was given missing, which did put the political world on fire. While they were missing, other students had their wings cut off as well. Suspicions were thrown towards the group, but the prefects trusted Idia when he said they were on a remote village, taking care of Epel's home and sick grandma. He even had a few photos and things he brought from there, including some apple tea which helps Idia calm down his ongoing headaches the group causes. He needs it a lot and thankfully Marja was kind enough to give him the recipe. :'3
So at least the prefects had the group clear of suspicions. Which was great!
But the pixies return. And the group has to sneak out again using the zodiac blade. Apparently the pixie village was facing grave problems. The tree of life was getting weaker by day and the village was losing it's power due to it. New pixies cannot be born due to it.
At the tree of life, Epel tries to connect to it. So far so good, but Epel is faced with an entity that knocks him out of the connection. While Epel thought that they only fought in mind, he was shocked to feel a cut made by the entity on his cheek, telling to the others that something is corrupting the tree of life and that they need to save it.
But what about the yet to be born pixies? They were supposed to come today. Ortho did confirm that he could feel the presence of multiple very young souls inside the tree. Whatever is poisoning the tree, is also holding hostages the baby pixies.
Deuce brings up his blade. While he did do some research here and there, there was a spell that he could use to see unseen things. That was the gemini spell, but Deuce has yet to come in control of it. For now, the best they could do is relocate the pixie villagers further from the tree, to prevent the poison from affecting them that much. Already the tree made a whole aura that made the pixies dizzy.
But since NRC seemed to come more peaceful after Mangor's trapping in the magilock box. The pixies didn't really take no for an answer, they simply decided to straight up move their village to NRC.
Well... Explain that to the headmaster. :'3
The boys agreed to let the pixies temporarily move in there on one condition: do not tell anyone about their involvement with the tree of life. By making Ninfea promise to not say anything about this, nor the pixies are allowed. To assure this, they make a magic binding, which will break if the promise is broken.
So yeah... NRC is swarmed by pixies. Fun times. :'3
It's a lot of chaos in the first days. Like pixies were literally everywhere and NRC Students either found out that they are bonded with some pixies while others just want the damn things to not eat their lunches.
Of course, Crowley finally accepted to integrate the pixies until they sort out their village problems. Just... Please don't steal the cafeteria food anymore. :'v
So now our group at least don't need to hide their bonding pixies. But now there's the abundente of pixies. Eleanor does note that Sebek is quite changed, certainly a new power was brimming in him. Sebek did say that it's a secret, but now their mission is to heal the tree of life and save the pixie village.
Trein presents them with the possibility of connecting with the tree and fighting the threat from inside: the all doors temple. A temple that hosts ways to anywhere one wishes. From the omega dimension to even relix or the golden kingdom. The only way you can't go to a place is if the place is cursed or it needs a special key to unlock access. Even so, the temple will show you how to gain access, only if you please it.
Meanwhile, Idia confronts the group about the pixie situation. Apparently he got a bonded pixie too: Ray-Ray, the painter pixie. An odd bond, but the pixie is fairly young and it likes to stay in Idia's hair.
Ray-ray turns out to be Bishop's older brother, which explains why bishop is so small compared to the other pixies. Ortho thought that his pixie didn't talk much when in reality, it was just a baby.
Nonetheless, the group were on a search for the all doors temple, which means Axel did have a map for it... But Axel admits that the map in question was recently stolen. Harlow said that he was missing one of his magician hats. Brosky and Eleanor also said that they heard other pixies have items stolen as well. And unfortunately, all of them knew well enough who was the culprit: Tabinet, the thief pixie. A quite obnoxious pixie that steals things for the host of it. Tabinet returns them in a few days unscratched, but it doesn't mean it is not inconveniencing the other pixies. Tabinet is a great guard tho, because unlike other pixies, Tabinet steals from threats mainly and makes them go away after their stolen goods.
But where was Tabinet? The group had an idea that perhaps their resident thief would know about it.
But Ruggie seems to have never heard of Tabinet. Even more, his bonded pixie, Dinna, is the donut pixie. Ruggie says that this is so far his favourite pixie and he's so glad that Dinna is his bonded pixie.
Even so, Ruggie introduces the group to the rest of his fairy group: Jade, the fairy of corals, Kalim, the fairy of rain and Azul, the fairy of the deep sea. They each had their own bonded pixies, but none of them heard of Tabinet, although their pixies did perk at that and found it no surprising that they are looking for Tabinet.
Thankfully for them, much to Idia's internal horror, Floyd breaks in to visit his twin, Jade. Floyd was quite the pelicular fairy, the fairy of the water stars. It was quite the wierd power, one which Floyd faced difficulties in controlling it, hence sometimes he would flood his dorm. His bonding pixie, Melanie, was the pixie of ballet, a quite poise and polite pixie, who fortunately has the answers of where Tabinet is.
This takes us the group to pay a visit to Floyd's dorm, where the rest of his group members are found: Jamil, fairy of reptiles, Riddle and Silver, fairy of dreams.
Sebek is a bit awkward with Silver, but Silver's bonding pixie was the rooster pixie, while Jamil's bonding pixie was the chef pixie.
And when realisation settled in, Ace sure got a hearty laugh out of it.
Riddle was very apologetic and figured out that they must be looking for the things that Tabinet, his bonded pixie, stole. Oh it was a mess for the redhead who tried to contain the chaotic pixie while also returning the stolen items. But in the end, Axel retrieved the map and the Requix squad were ready to embark on a new mission.
But even so, Epel does ask why Ruggie and Floyd's groups were not of 6. Usually the students get sorted in groups of 6. Idia explains that not every student manages to pass the year. Many first years fail the end of the term exams and so, get expelled. After the 2nd year, the teams merge together 2 by 2, leading sometimes to groups of 7 or even 10 students. It was a harsh system, but it got only the best out of the best. There were no 2nd chances in the 1st and 2nd years exams after all.
But now, their main worry was finding the temple. With Axel's map and using the pixie chaos as a cover, the group used again the zodiac blade to travel closer to the said place.
Unfortunately the temple had a barrier. And was on the top of a mountain full of stairs. None of them really wanted to climb all those stairs. They tried to transform, but it was futile. Apparently that magical barrier prevents them from transforming. Only Sebek's enchantix worked so now he rubs it in Ace's face. Guess Ace deserved it for teasing Sebek about the sparkly skirt. :'3
Guess what, climbing the stairs seemed not enough for the goddamn temple. The stairway was littered with all kinds of vicious creatures, which split the group up in 3 duos.
Sebek ended up with Epel and the pixies, continuing to climb the stairs. Ortho and Deuce fell off into a river flowing out of the mountain and Ace with Jack were thrown off into the goddamn forest.
With Sebek and Epel, the pixies try their best to fend off the monsters alongside Sebek's spells. But even so, they needed a better plan, which Epel was trying to make.
Epel takes the initiative and remembers how his village used to fend off bigger predators that would come out of the woods. They wouldn't attack. It was the love for nature and the earth that allowed the village to thrive without big needs of modernisation. The predators were be sent back by kindness.
So Epel tries this out. He tries reaching out to one of the beasts. Really, Sebek was ready to blast it off with a lightning strike, but Epel reassured that everything was alright, the creatures were just very confused.
And yes, it turns out that kindness was the answer. The creatures were complying slowly and warmed up to the idea that these guys mean no harm. The pixies actually find out that near the stairs, these creatures have nests or homes where most certainly they would not want intruders.
And Epel feels his own powers pulsing through. All the creatures of nature serve the earth after all. And him as the fairy of earth can feel if the creatures themselves bring harm to it, which these ones don't.
So Epel and Sebek continue their stair journey. They hope that at the temple, they could find a way to get to the others and gather up. Sebek tho, does note that Epel's scar seemed to bubble out with some sort of energy. Epel only admits that he feels tired, so Sebek resorts to carrying him here and there, when Epel didn't insist that he could walk on his own.
Meanwhile, Ace and Jack are lost in the woods. They at least we're out of the barrier aera, which had them able to transform and use magic again. They had an idea where they had to go, but they theorised that if they happen to fly through the barrier, they would end up falling and breaking some bones the least. So they kept a low ground, sometimes raising above the trees to see where they are headed.
Their problem arises when they stumble upon a swamp. They needed some way to pass it, since in the trees seemed to be lots of birds and clearly they couldn't swim through that.
So with a small convergence spell, the 2 take some fallen branches and make a raft.
And while sailing through the swamp, Jack and Ace just talk. Jack started to feel like whatever they do, the one behind Mangor won't stop at all. They needed to know who is the mastermind. Who allowed Mangor to reek havoc in such way. Ace does gruff out that maybe it's the same person that poisoned the tree of life. Jack doesn't rule out that possibility, but even so, he is a bit skeptical. That would mean that the person they are truly after aims for something.
But their little brainstorm session is cut off when they encounter carnivorous plants. BIG plants, ready to eat them. Jack's attacks could only do so much and freeze them for some time, while Ace managed only to push them and make some distance. Even so, their raft was sunk and the 2 had to rely on flying very close to the water as to not get tangled in the upper vines.
And Ace has enough of this. He saw that the plants seemed to have a stone core, so he decides to yank one off. And what better way than to get it from the one that was attacking Jack from behind. Pushing him away, Ace inevitably gets eaten by the plant. The plant tho, dizzolves into nothingness as Ace Gets out victorious with the stone in his hand. This allows Ace to use the stone against the other sentient plant and thus gain 2 stones and no more plants that want to eat them.
Jack congratulates him on this, but before anything, Ace himself changes, gaining his enchantix.
His first reaction: 'I GOT A SPARKLY SKIRT- wait those are pants'
Oh Ace just knew the rest will make fun of him. Jack tho, decided that both need to continue on with their journey back. This time, knowing that enchantix doesn't get affected by the barrier, Ace and Jack can raise up more and count on that Ace could catch Jack if they pass through the barrier. Far more easy now! :3
As for Ortho and Deuce? Both were taken still by the river. Once out of the barrier, the 2 tried to transform, but their wings got too wet, to the point they couldn't fly out of there.
Ortho manages to grab on the last second on a more sturdy rock, holding onto Deuce as well. The river was quite powerful and a bit more and both would've fallen into a waterfall. It was certainly a tight situation. Deuce tried to use his blade, but the weapon only weighted them down to the point Ortho used a spell to tie them up to the rock as to not fall.
Except that the more he uses the spell, the more Ortho grows dizzy. He used way too much light spells lately and even with gloomix, he couldn't really make up in good time. Deuce noticed that and tried to tell him to let him go. He could improvise something to save himself.
But both knew the fall would be too fast and harsh for improvising time.
So mustering more energy, Ortho tries to push against the river, enough to get at least Deuce close to the side, so he could catch on it and climb out. Deuce tried to make a spell to catch Ortho and help him to the edge too.
But already Ortho passed out due to his dizzy spell and he was taken by the river straight into the waterfall. Deuce tried to run after him, but he didn't really make it in time. Only when his wings were dry completely, Deuce was able to fly towards the bottom of the waterfall, which fell into a lake, to at least find Ortho. Maybe he still had time and could save the latter.
But his hopes seem to be answered when he gets poked from behind by someone. That someone was Ortho, with his very sparkly enchantix. He looked shaken up, but even with that, he still smiled at Deuce and told him that this 'swim' they took was surely something Ortho doesn't want to repeat. Deuce just agrees with it and together they try to find and head back to the temple mountain.
The group meet up all on the stairs still. God there were a LOT of stairs. But even so, Epel had a laugh at Ortho and Ace for having sparkly 'skirts'. But at least now they could fly and not climb the stairs until they drop. Sebek admits that he had a very wierd cycle of Epel climbing the stairs and then Sebek carrying him.
Bishop and Harlow sure af were greeting their bonded fairies with cheers for their new enchantix. Ace admits that from now on, he doesn't want to see a salad for as long as he lives. Ortho and Deuce just have no desire to get close to a river and Jack really just wants to go back to their dorm and sleep.
Reaching the top, the group is faced with the temple itself. They expect it to be a bit more grand. Not just a small wooden house. There was even the question of how tf does that thing even resist. It looks like it would colapse even with the slightest breeze.
Even so, they get greeted by a talking bird. The bird seems to welcome them inside for a cup of tea. Being tired on main, the group immediately accepts, but mention that they are in a hurry.
Even so, stepping inside immediately has the group finding themselves in another place. A gigantic round room, in the middle of which a fountain was found, the liquid flowing inside it being glossy and pearlescent, yet still transparent. The hall itself was decorated with mirrors in various frames and the roof was reflecting the clear sky from outside.
The bird transforms in a woman, presenting herself as Diana, the temple keeper. And indeed, she gives to the group some nice warm berry tea and some place to sit down and rest.
Despite being the temple of all doors, surprisingly, the group notes the lack of them. Diana does crack a laugh out of it, telling them that a door can be anything. Weather is it's literal meaning or a great opportunity, a door can't only have one form and one sense.
She admits that she looked over them all this time. Since they passed through the barrier she knew why they were here and their mission. Jack does ask if this is why she welcomed them so warmly, to which Diana confirms it.
In truth, the tree of life affects the forest of here too. The magical creatures took refugee in the mountain here, using the barrier as a sort of protection from the corruption that is plaguing the earth. The pixies explain that they had to move their people far away from the tree too. And since trying to give a diagnosis, Epel was visibly weakened.
Diana does put in everyone's tea a small healing spell, hoping that at least this would help them out a bit. The group ask her if it's possible to use this temple as a way of entering the core of the tree of life. Diana confirms that the tree of life has inside of it a whole different dimension, where magic is born. Pixies are born from there in relation to a fairy's magical powers. So when a fairy loses their magical powers, their corresponded pixie dies, weather they were bonded or not. As for the dark side, as a witch taps into their powers, the tree of life increases the power in the sources of dark magic the witch can aquire. Despite that, the tree maintains a balance, hence why a bonded pixie may be born earlier or later than when the fairy first transformed and also the sources of dark magic can spread or decrease.
The fact that the tree was under the influence of some sort of corruption, it's poisoning it's powers and reeks havoc through the magical nature. At first, it may be just the forests without much outside influence, but slowly, this chaos would affect all of the magical dimension and magic will go hairwire.
Jack speaks for the group and asks if by chance, there could be a cure for this. Diana admits that she doesn't know much, but she believes that if there is dark magic overcoming it, then fairy dust could be used against it. The downside is that it must not be used too much, otherwise the balance might tip the other way and create more problems.
Finally, Epel, after he seemed in a somewhat better shape, asks if by chance, they could be granted access to this place. If they wanted to find a cure, they needed some way to return here quickly. Diana this time denies it, as this temple forbids any way of teleporting in it, rather only out of it. She is willing to keep in contact with them tho.
And for a tester, she presents to them the fountain. She takes in a bottle some water from it and pours it over a mirror, using a spell to show them inside the tree of life.
Of course, they could pass through the mirror, but this portal holds oh so long. They would have to be fast until it closes and they would be trapped in there.
And looking through the mirror, the group could see a whole other world. Gigantic flowers, floating islands, lakes and rivers of pure sparkling water, yet all were slowly conquered by a dark energy, turning the delicate vines into thorny messes and the clear water into some muddy substance. Stepping inside for a second, Ace tried to use a bit his fairy dust. It was fairly new, sure, but it was meant a shot.
For a few minutes, the affected ground seems to have healed up, before being engulfed in dark corruption again. Ace only returned back quickly and Diana closed the portal.
The fairy dust couldn't simply hold that much. They had to go and deal with the root of the problem.
So they ask Diana for one more thing: allow them to take from the magic liquid that creates portals. She does indulge in that and each of them takes enough for one portal. This will allow them to create one without coming back here. All they could promise is that they will do their best to fix this before using their library marks to go back to NRC.
Cue a lot of stress. Either from the pixies or from the classes and secret mission. Spring was bearly starting and the group was very out of it. They try to search for a way to weed out permantly that corruption on the light side of the tree of life.
So while doing research in the library, Deuce comes across the fire roses. Magical roses, whose unique flame can burn anything permanently. They can be extinguished by water or a small spell, but their damage lasts forever. So far there seems to be no cure for it, but what it was discovered was that these roses were very volatile to being combined with spells.
So the group figured that if they combine fairy dust with the fire roses, they could use them to create a permanent barrier in between the 2 magic sides of the tree.
Meanwhile, Idia fainted. Like man just passed out when Ortho told him that he got enchantix. He didn't specify how, nonetheless Idia figured out that his brother had a near death experience or even actually died to get enchantix. Currently Ortho, Bishop and Ray-ray woke up Idia and tried to explain the whole thing to him.
Idia fainted again. Like really man couldn't catch a break. :'3
Back to the main plot, Deuce recognised the fire roses as those special roses deep in the Heartslabyul garden. Those rose bushes were sorrounded by water and no one got to even water them.
So he and Ace venture after class to get them. Except that they find someone else in there.
That was Riddle, who was tending to the said roses. And he seemed quite down, even so, he took a bit to notice Adeuce. When he did notice them, Riddle seemed to jolt and try to ask what they were doing in here. Adeuce too act awkward and try to make an excuse that they were just looking for a quiet place to stay.
Riddle doesn't really question it. Heartslabyul gardens are usually quite obnoxious. But he welcomes the 2 to stay, just not next to the roses, they might get hurt if they get too close.
Ace does ask what's up with the roses and why Riddle doesn't get hurt by them. And Riddle explains that he is a fire fairy. His power draws from the fire roses. Unlike the rest of his family that were nature fairies with healing powers, Riddle was a fire fairy. He did come in terms with it, gaining his charmix, but still, he cannot shake the feeling that it was something wrong with him, just like his mother told him.
And Ace speaks his mind yet again. The ginger just straight up makes Mrs Rosehearts a heartless bitch if she is telling her own son that something is wrong with him just because this is his power. He was a prefect for heaven's sake! And his powers allowed him to not get a scratch from a flower that makes irreversible damage. So Ace just pokes Riddle's forehead and tells him: 'get. Your. Shit. Together. And. Ditch. Your. Bitchy. Mom.'
Deuce really thought that Ace would be done for then and there on how red Riddle's cheeks were, but the redhead just burst out laughing. Like sure, that's what Trey and Che'nya also told him, but no one was that straightforward with him. He would gloss over the fact that Ace basically cussed out his family because he found it funny.
So Riddle plucks out a seemingly innocent rose. Adeuce gasp when they see the rose's petals turning into pure fire. Riddle explains to them that if the fire rose isn't tied to the bush, it will catch the said magical fire that does irreversible damage. Hence why you need some powerful spell to keep it at bay, because it's burning fast. And as an example, the rose turned to ashes on its own, which Riddle let to spread around.
For now, he just leaves them to meditate in there, but he warns to not mingle with the fire roses. For now, Riddle had to find Tabinet and see if that pixie stole things again or something.
So Adeuce are left with the rosebush and a new problem: how tf will they get the fire roses if those things get on fire the second they are plucked out. They went back to report to the others. So they needed a plan to take them out and conserve them.
Meanwhile, Epel was dealing with bad sleep. Ace was the one who helped him through it as a fellow bad sleeper. Epel does ask how enchantix feel and Ace really doesn't know what to say. It's wierd. That feeling when you thing that's the end, but apparently you suddenly find the strength to continue. Sparkly pants that look like skirts aside, it was a transformation that it's cool, but it's a somewhat taboo over how you gained it.
But Ace reassures that no one is prepared for it. It just comes, it's all about the spur of the moment. Not just 'oh throw yourself in front of danger for funsies'. It takes courage and the reality that this isn't as simple as just getting a detention or expelled. They could actually get hurt beyond repair or even die. And to think that this could happen to the others because he didn't take action in that moment, makes Ace want to push forward and be there. They are a team. It didn't even pass a year, but already they were all into this so deep that somehow, Ace feels like he knew everyone all of his life already.
But despite that, Epel seems to appreciate how deep Ace was. This does gain a puff out of the other and back to bratty Ace, which gets himself a light punch in the side from Epel. Ace joked that he thought Epel hit harder than that, but nonetheless, he got back to sleep, telling Epel to do the same.
What he didn't know was that Epel actually meant to hit hard. And that his wound was significantly spreading. No one out of the others knew about it and Epel wanted it to stay that way. Brosky warned him that he won't be better if he hides it, but Epel was going to endure it. He cannot let his condition hinder their mission. Not when they were on time limit and the tree of life was on the line.
And so, a lot of library research and experiments with small magical flames. And also so far, they discovered that they need to get a freezing time spell for this. So they ask Trein for this.
Except that what they want was a book from the forbidden section. It was forbidden, because the books were cursed and could cause lasting effects on them.
Despite that, they insisted to get one book the least, something to help them get the fire roses. Trein refuses, even more, he gets mad at them for it and forbids their access to the cursed books completely, hiding that section from them.
So the group decides to look into something they could use to pluck at least one rose. They get introduced to the bubble lake, a lake which conjures 'timeless bubbles' that stagnate time. It was an alternative than the freezing time spell, but it only made the whole operation harder.
Nonetheless, they venture in there, trying to get at least a bubble from it. Unfortunately for them, there was a reason why people didn't abuse of this place's power, mainly the sea serpent that was guarding the lake's timeless bubbles.
Taking it as an obstacle, Jack is the one that takes initiative, redirecting the group to split and aim for the bubbles, while he distracts the snake, using his snowy powers to slow down the creature. The serpent does put out a fight and manages to drag Jack in the water, from which a more physical fight escalates.
On the other hand, the group managed to secure a bubble, using magic to preserve it. Except that Epel's wound finally hit him again with a dizzy spell. Deuce was the one that holded onto him and together, the rest were trying to find Jack and aid in the battle.
Fortunately, Jack does get out of the water on his own, but with enchantix. Despite that, the serpent was very much still alive and ready to attack again, but the group fleed before the creature got the chance with the zodiac blade.
And back at NRC, the others confront Epel about his wound. Brosky rats him out in the end, explaining that since he gained that scratch, Epel's wound was eating away his power and energy. The others tried various healing methods, from spells to even fairy dust, but nothing seemed to quite work. Epel explains that the source of this has to be the same thing that poisons the tree of life. They had to get rid of that if they want to heal him up.
Now with newfound determination in helping their teammate, the others are ready to use the timeless bubble. Their problem was that they needed to sneak into the Heartslabyul garden.
Trein seemed to be pleased that they found an alternative way, so he presents to them the power of enchantix: miniaturising. They could use it to become small enough so they could hide while taking the rose. Trying it out, Epel had to stay at the dorms and rest despite his protests, while Deuce ventured into the garden in normal size, Ace, Ortho, Jack and Sebek as minifairies hiding in Deuce's pocket.
And as expected, they walk in on Riddle, who at that hour usually tends to the roses. This time Tabinet was there too. And another 2 guys, which Riddle addressed to as Cater and Trey. The redhead did spot Deuce and happily made introductions in between the 3, assuming that Deuce came here for some peace and quiet as well. These 3 were serving some tea and talking about recent events.
Deuce awkwardly joins in, listening to Cater ranting about the earthquake that caught him off guard in the forest. He was out there doing an assignment when the earthquake occurred. Trey does say that he knew that because he and Cater were in the same group, but Deuce does ask about it.
Trey mentions that there was an earthquake. Deuce probably was in his dorm room and didn't feel it as strong as the extra classes in the forest did.
Ace did sign subtlety to Deuce to lie and tell that most likely he was taking a shower when it happened and didn't feel it. Riddle admits that for him, the earthquake caught him at the lake and he fell in it. Ruggie made fun of him all the way back to school for that.
Cater does note that Deuce's face was awfully familiar. Trey confirms it, by asking Deuce that if by chance, he's apart of that 1st year group that made such a fuss at the start of the year. Deuce gets shy and confirms it, presenting himself as the fairy of the night sky. Cater happily introduces himself as the fairy of crystals while Trey is the fairy of sweets. Trey awkwardly says that he used to be a specialist, so he really doesn't have any idea how 1st year for fairies is.
Deuce is surprised that Trey was a specialist in the past. Riddle says that 'unfortunately' Trey got himself a bit of love and that love pushed him to unlock his magic and get a pair of wings. He currently was in the 3rd year, 2 years prior being a specialist.
Deuce decided to not question it. His main concern was getting a fire rose.
Riddle did notice that Deuce was looking at the fire roses bush, and he tells him to be very careful. Since that earthquake, the fire roses seem to be acting strange. He got out a few for today, yet they took a while to burn. And even then, the flame was weak. Riddle said that he felt the roses getting weaker, which prompts him to believe that something must've happened to the forest in here. He didn't yet know if other places outside Sage Island were affected.
Deuce just tries to toss down his jacket so the others could sneak out and approach the bush while he distracts the 3. Fortunately, it was getting dark, so Deuce used that opportunity to show the group about what he knew about the stars and the night sky itself. He did his best to make all of them face the bush with their backs, so Jack could go back to normal size and use the bubble to get one rose.
Except that Riddle felt a little itch. He tried to turn towards the bush, thankfully the others already were shrinked all again and Sneaking back to their dorm with the stolen rose. Riddle did brush aside Deuce and Trey's reassures and got up to check the rosebush.
What he didn't expect was to find wilted roses, which surprised him. The fire roses never wilt! They burn and turn into ashes, but never wilt. And rightfully, Riddle starts to panic. He could've noticed it sooner, if he wasn't that distraught. Deuce does ask Cater why is that bad that the roses are wilting. The ginger tells him that apparently some great magic is sucking out the roses's magic and if this happens, it means that other magical plants around are receiving the same treatment. The fire roses are like an alarm for such a thing due to how sensible they were.
Trey asks if they should call a student with nature powers or someone who could heal, but Riddle doesn't have any idea what to do. He didn't know what caused it and Tabinet was just trying to calm down the ferreting redhead. Riddle tries his best to connect to the roses, see what's wrong, but he got rejected.
Even worse, the roses burned him, which never happened before.
Trey and Cater try to get to him, but Riddle tells them to not do it. If the roses are affected, so it's Riddle's magic and the redhead doesn't want to hurt them. He needs a fire fairy or some sort of flame. Cater immediately knows who to bring and runs to get help.
Deuce offers to try out something. He didn't really try it up until now, but he does summon his zodiac blade and tries to concentrate, summoning his sagittarius spell, which makes the blade made out of blue flames. Stars are made of fire after all. And while Deuce isn't that great at the pyrotechnics department, he believes that if he channels his saggitarius spell enough, he could make a convergence with Riddle and get him to not be rejected by the roses. It meant to be given a shot after all.
The redhead is skeptical, but Trey nudges him to try it out. More roses were starting to wilt and it was clear that the magic was drained out of them.
But even with the convergence, Riddle was again rejected and more weaker than before. It was clear that someone was taking control of the roses and blocking anyone from connecting to their magic energy. Trey resorted to carrying Riddle since his legs gave up. He insisted to get the redhead to a healer, but Riddle said that it would do no good. He felt how every firerose was losing it's magic and with that he felt more and more like he was losing his own energy.
Of course, Trey and Deuce panicked, since it meant one thing. Trey told Deuce to look over the bush while he took Riddle to someone who could heal him or something. Deuce really was left alone with the rosebush.
Deuce, on the spur of the moment, channels his blade for the gemini spell, plunging the blade in the ground and twisting it. The world turned in black and white and Deuce shakily let go of the blade, realising that he was in some alternative reality.
Looking around, Deuce saw the rose bush having some sort of dark parasitic plant engulfing it. Deuce had to transform, following the said roots that seemed to attack every plant around, strangling the magic ones.
And of course, Deuce tried to attack the roots, only for them to attack back. He tried to pull them from a plant and when he did manage, he realised the plant itself was turning back to a more healthy state.
Deuce tried to get out his blade, but that only got him back to reality and very tired. Nonetheless, the roses were wilting faster and Deuce, despite a better judgement, decided to use again the gemini spell, even if he should've at least told the others what he was up to.
But nope! No time to waste! Back in the black and white world, Deuce realised that the magic roots were actually in dark hues of purple, which meant that the hidden things he would usually not see or even touch in the real world are colored in here and able to be mingled with.
So Deuce tries his best to rip the roots of the roses first. When he did manage, he was faced with the roots going for him and trashing him around.
So in an attempt, Deuce tries to get those roots and vines to get after him, further from the roses, fighting them with everything he could. He realised that he could pass through the walls and his attacks could only harm the roots and nothing else. He couldn't use anything else as a weapon or to help him out, only his wings to fly and not fall through the floor. His library mark also wasn't working and Deuce could see other nature fairies rushing around. He passed right through them, just like the vines did also.
It was like they were non-existent, but even so, both could affect only each other.
Even so, Deuce had to find where the roots started to spread around. If he destroyed that, he could assure that the roots will take a while until attacking back the magic plants from here.
And to his horror, Deuce realised the malicious roots and vines came from the dark mirror, clearly a portal used for them to crawl out. There were a lot of them too and Deuce was mustering everything he could to make cuts in them and have them wilt and dissappear. There were unfortunately a lot.
He did manage to cut one of the bigger root points, wilting a good chunk of the roots sorrounding NRC, but he didn't have any time to cut the others because the vines finally got him by the wings and were slowly suffocating him.
Meanwhile, the others in the Requix club were looking for Deuce. They took their problem to Idia, who also didn't know where Deuce was. Instead he knew that his groupmate, Cater, was searching for Malleus to help out with the rose bush problem.
The others do rush into the Heartslabyul garden, upon Trey's permission alongside Idia, to find only Deuce's blade connected to the ground like some sort of key. But no Deuce around.
Epel did note that in the blade's reflection, he saw a black and white world and some vines wiggling around then dissappearing. He immediately grabbed the handle.
But Epel also dissappeared.
Seeing it as their only option of finding where Deuce was, everyone got one by one the handle and we're thrown in the black and white world too. It took a while to adjust and realise that by simply touching the handle again they won't go back.
So they searched for Deuce.
Meanwhile, Deuce was fighting for his life against the vines. They were retreating in order to deal with his last ditch efforts of surviving and cutting the other vines. That's when Deuce saw the others coming. They were not transformed and the vines immediately grabbed them, taking the group by surprise as they seemed to take some of their energy too, just like they did with the magic plants.
And Deuce grew enraged. So enraged that he mustered all the strength and energy he had into a massive explosion, freeing everyone, before Deuce ripped off the last of the roots with his bare hands due to the sheer anger and desperation he had.
Then he collapsed. Really he had literally nothing left in him. Even breathing was hard now at how little power he had left. For a moment, he closed his eyes and his breath came to a steady stop.
But... This gets him his enchantix. The others were very much confused by what happened, but Deuce promises to explain to them everything later, after they get back and heal the rosebush, by using the fairy dust.
Epel mentions how he feels a bit better now. As if the earth was suddenly healed. Deuce theorises that those had to be the vines. And if his theory was correct, they will have to pay a visit to the pixie village very soon.
But now he got enchantix, which means the group gets to make fun of his sparkly skirt. >:3
Deuce does go to visit Riddle once Cater comes with Malleus and ensures a clear coast. Trey did thank to Malleus for healing the fireroses with his dragon fire. The other students who got affected by the sudden nature weakening also thanked Malleus, thinking that he healed the whole garden.
Riddle tho, thanked Malleus formally, but the next day, he personally came to thank Deuce. When asked why, the answer was deemed simple by the redhead.
He felt Deuce's intervention. The roses told him that Deuce saved them and for that Riddle will be entirely grateful for. Deuce is in awe that the roses could speak to Riddle, but the redhead tells him that every magic user is able to communicate with or in their element. It takes some meditation, but Riddle suspects that Deuce could prove to have great potential. In fact, Riddle mentions that all of the 1st year group has potential. They just need to concentrate on it.
And this fires up Deuce to also raise the spirit in his team and go to save the tree of life.
Idia does tell them that apparently forests all around the magical world are losing their power. The creatures run amok and everything is chaotic. It is only a matter of time until the nature itself will lose a great fraction of power. The nature type fairies were all deployed to try and heal or resonate with the forests, but so far, it was clearly a losing battle. Idia felt the death lingering around, so he advises that, whatever their plan is, to hurry up!
And with that, the group decide there's no time for classes. They ask of Idia to call in sick for them, their pixies also helping out with anyone who would snoop around their dorm, while they use the zodiac blade to go to the pixie village.
Brosky tho, followed Epel. The pixie insisted that Epel was not in a great shape and he will need his bonded pixie to boost his powers if he wanted to put up a fight.
Again, Deuce uses the gemini spell, but this time it's clearly futile as the roots all cover up the entire tree and their core is clearly not in the unseen world.
So summoning a mirror, the group use all 7 of the potion bottles from the temple of all doors, making a portal that will last for several hours, hopefully enough time for them to deal with the problem. Really none of them wanted to get stuck here or climb those goddamn stairs again for a refill. Although Diana was a great woman and a nice company... :'3
Epel tells them that the earth is crying for help. He could hear it's cries and it was deafening at this point, even more amplified inside the tree of life's dimension.
Ortho and Ace decide to stay behind with Epel, trying to protect the latter as not only did he not have enchantix. He also was weaker than the rest, only his insistence of him going too being the sole factor of his presence here.
But on the end, in there, they come face to face with the threat that was responsible for all that. An entity with the upper half a humanoid body, while the bottom were many roots, tangled and plummeted in the ground of this dimension's earth. The being presents itself as the seed of darkness, created by the all powerful Count of Nothingness.
And of course, a fight ensures. In the fight, Epel tries his best to use his powers, but they are weaker and weaker as he gets closer to the seed of darkness. The entity seems to only have eyes for Epel, saying that it was the last piece they needed to ensure complete control over the magical earth, poisoning it and sucking all of it's magic energy to later give it to it's master. Already it took roots since the autumn, presenting itself as the one who watched Epel, first when they went to the pixie village for the first time(back in S2). It was weak then, but now it grew stronger and could finally get another pair of fairy wings to feed on in order to reach it's final and unstoppable form.
At that, the others realise that Mangor most likely was under the Count of Nothingness's rule and clearly used the cut fairy wings to feed and give life to the seed of darkness. And now, the said seed entity is aiming for Epel, as his powers draw and manifest directly from the earth.
Epel was the true target all along.
And so, in a fit of rage, Epel responds with his best attacks. Yet what he does is only to feed more onto the said entity, who uses it's power to separate Epel from the others, who desperately try to reach them and put an end to this.
Compared to the others, Epel only had charmix and that was still leagues under enchantix. And if the entity was this strong, able to still hold them back for god knows how long, Epel knew that he had to do something, to weaken it.
And Epel is given an ultimatum. Willingly give out his power and his friends get spared, or put out a last fight and everyone will get eventually killed. It was a matter of seconds of cutting Epel's wings then getting the others, but because this entity had a mind of it's own, it decided to go a less troublesome way.
And Epel weights his options. Already he was weak, to the point that the seed of darkness had most of his power. But his friends were fighting for it and they all try to save everyone. That was their goal since they first meet up with Mangor.
And oh did this make Epel bubble with rage.
So at first, the seed of darkness is delighted when the earth fairy takes their hand, but slowly, they realise that Epel was getting way too closer, channeling more and more magic in his body. And that's when Epel gets to mention his side of the deal.
He will gladly give up his wings, but the price is that both of them will go down.
Cue bigass explosion! :D
Jack made a magic barrier to shield the group, but when they were safe and he lowered the barrier, they realised that the seed of darkness was wilting away and becoming ashes while Epel was nowhere to be found. Deuce tried to use his gemini spell, Ortho tried to locate his soul, but both came out with failure to do so.
Sebek begged the others, telling them that maybe maybe the failure was because they were in another dimension, but Ace was the voice of realism now: Epel was gone. They can't find him now.
But as Ace said that, he gets slapped by a plant. And that plant grows into a very big flower, from which Epel, with a brand new enchantix, emerges. He happily reunites with the group and they all had a group hug.
As for healing back the tree, using a convergence spell and fairy dust on the fire rose, the group manage to create a permanent barrier in between the light side and dark side of magic the tree upholds. Curious to see if it worked, the group thankfully heads back to the portal they made.
And it seemed like the tree of life was slowly healing itself.
Epel just lays down on the grass and takes everything in. He felt the earth slowly coming back to health and with it, he felt himself healing his magic too. He didn't have anymore wound and everything felt just right.
But it was even better when the others stretched down on the grass alongside Epel, making a circle with their heads in the middle, all still in enchantix. Ace cracked a joke about Epel's sparkly skirt, following the tradition of 'you have enchantix, now suffer through everyone in the group laughing at your sparkly ass'.
And instead of punching him, Epel bursted into a laughing fit, saying that even after they almost died in there, Ace still has the guts to make fun of him. Slowly, this laughing fit infects the other 5 and together they all just lay there, laughing and taking all in.
Brosky comes too and happily tells them that now the pixies can return to their village. Epel lets the pixie to rest in his chest and says that he did get used to pixies roaming the halls. Nonetheless, he promises that maybe they will visit sometime. Clearly not with a world ending problem like this one was. Jack points out that world ending threats is what brought them together after all. Sebek just says that for now, whoever was that count of nothingness, they will have to deal with them. Deuce does fire up and declares that they will woop that fucker's ass. Ace says that for now, their only worry was the finals exam, to which Ortho reassures that he could make an even more powerful concealing potion that will help them out.
And Epel just smiled at that and falls asleep, right there, on the ground, when everything was just great.
And that's when season 3 ends. A bit longer than the previous 2.
