DO keep in mind that physical touch is something super personal to Cleave. He's never really let anyone preen his feathers before if at all.

His back especially is off-limit when it comes to touches even as casual as a friendly pat or a gentle stroke.

PRE-RELATIONSHIP

Steb noticing a few pin feathers on Cleave and motioning towards them to Cleave who just shrugs and says he can't quite reach or see some parts of his back and head. Said he usually just hopes the casing breaks off naturally if he cant reach them.

Imagine Cleave's surprise when Steb offers to help with it and Cleave, while hesitant at first, reluctantly agrees to it.

Cleave is tense as ever with his back facing Steb but eventually as Steb works on breaking those keratin casings off of him he can't help but realize how intimate this feels.

The gentleness and care Steb is showing just from this alone. Always careful to check and make sure he's not hurting him or causing any discomfort. The accidental touches that, for the first time, Cleave didn't mind.

This was probably one of the few times where Steb completely shuts him up. Cleave's face probably became a few shades closer to his feathers.

Steb snapping a finger in front of Cleave to get his attention. Essentially letting him know he's done and Cleave staring dumbly before quickly mumbling out a thanks but not quite meeting Steb's eyes for the first time.

Cleave would rather die first than admit that he enjoyed it and would love for Steb to help preen his feathers again.

IN A RELATIONSHIP

Steb helps Cleave with preening his feathers whenever he sees Cleave fumbling with them on his own. Cleave more than appreciates the gesture and it's when he's most relaxed.

Cleave eventually working up the courage to ask Steb for help directly when he's struggling.

Plus Cleave likes it when Steb does it so gently and lovingly.

It is kinda funny seeing people talk about Seungmin lately because he definitely has gotten more bold and confident for sure. He's also just getting opportunities to be perceived as an individual on his own as well for the first time in a while but it's still jarring to see people be like Aw he was always such a quiet goodie two shoes little nerd and it's like...... he was the one to leave and seek out his own vocal coach and blatantly talk about it, which of course lead to I.N and Lee Know also doing the same, he was the one to go on bubble and tell off sasaengs who used to camp outside their old dorm for invading members privacy but also because it effected other residents and staff at the complex, something that i'm certain upper management wouldnt have been happy about, and he wasn't curt or nice about it either. like he's never actually been a wallflower, he's always had a pretty strong backbone and seems to stick to his principals, its not really new.
