why is gene's song kinda making me emotional..... like this show is usually 50/50 on if it actually wants to take gene's songwriting ability seriously but in this episode its so clear how much he LOVES music and songwriting and how talented he is at it. he has trouble with focus and commitment sometimes but thats never an issue when it comes to his music and he'd happily spend an entire afternoon writing a song from start to finish (even skipping out on dinner) because he was so hyperfocused. love how much respect they give gene in this episode tbh

I LOVED THIS EPISODE 😭😭💕 i dont think it'll be as widely popular as some other episodes this season but as a gene fan and an artist this episode really resonated with me. the ending sequence was actually really beautiful (gives me the same vibes as "your heart's not broken its only growing" tbh) and i loved gene's song and all the different costumes they put him in for his dreams!! tina and louise's subplot was really cute too. very enjoyable episode if you're a gene fan or just a casual viewer who wishes he got more focus. he's SO SWEET and so passionate <3

WE CAN FIX THIS. can leave u more susceptible to dust (bcuz ur closer to the floor, where dust gets) and thus activate allergies. this can be avoided by regular cleaning of course but just be careful cuz yknow when u sweep the floor around bed, clean the bed right after too cuz who knows how much dust or whatnot had gotten stirred up and landed on the bed. n

i live in the philippines and the weather is often very humid and wet here and if where you are is also very humid then BEWARE BEWARE BED ON FLOOR MIGHT GET MOLD. mattresses are big chunks of usually absorbent material and if it's on the floor it is Not getting as ventilated as a bed on a bedframe (since air can pass under and around it easier) and if ur not checking ur mattress regularly, funky stuff can grow compleyely unbeknownst to u.

But There Are Obviously Good And Great Floor Sleeping Arrangements

im no bed expert or whatever but based on my general knowledge and experience, what makes Mattresses not suited for the floor is the fact that theyre Chunks, and Chunks tend to absorb things around it and keep it inside to create all sorts of problems and evils. to battle that, Chunks generally should be elevated via bedframe just so they have more surface area to breathe instead of absorb.

so Chunks dont do great directly on the floor. but yknow what does? MATS!!!!! FLAT PLANES!!!!! examples!! banig (philippines), tatami (japan), and probably MANY MORE BUT THESE R THE ONLY TWO I CAN REMEMBER AT 5AM WHEN IM WRITING THIS RESPONSE

these r not Chunks these are Planes and also by virtue of being made from Dried Materials (palm leaves, rice straw, etc) and also built for asian climates (tend to be humid and wet for significant portions of time) theyre less likely to absorb and create problems. obviously theres still Upkeep and Cleaning involved but in general, yknow, still better

tldr: modern mattresses are not engineered for a bunch of the problems that the floor can pose. [[ bunch of random Neo headcanons & some other random stuff for him that i’ve been sitting on for a while. these are under a r/m just bcuz I’m gonna be rambling a bit... i got Neo Metal Sonic on Da Brain

There are absolutely tells to his ‘disguises’ whenever he’s transformed himself into someone else (usually for deceptive purposes); whilst Neo can copy lifeform data, this does not extend to their personalities & memories, meaning often times, his mannerisms will be different to the person he’s shapeshifted into, & he might not be able to answer anywhere near as many questions as the ‘original’ will.

In addition to the last point, another pretty easy way to tell if you can get close enough is... Try lifting him up. Yeah, its stupid, and easily foiled (he doesn’t like being touched), but obviously, Neo is a robot, & a heavily armed one at that. Whilst he has the abilities to be very quick & nimble, as per his abilities... He’s NOT light, whatsoever. Just drop him into a body of water and he’ll sink. (...Don’t do that because when he inevitably climbs out he will certainly kill you)

Neo does not have to be in direct contact with someone to trace/copy their lifeform data (as per Sonic Heroes). There is a sort of perimetre/limit to how far he can copy someone from, though. Copied lifeform data entails; ability to copy someone’s appearance via shapeshifting (like he does with both Sonic & Eggman) & the ability to copy more or less all of their abilities (to reference Heroes again, he’s able to use Chaos Control multiple times during the Overlord fight which is something exclusive to Shadow in the games iirc? I’m gonna assume he can do it in Neo form as well, though I’m pretty sure it does require an emerald which. right now he doesn’t have, lol).

All of the expressions he makes on his visor are entirely conscious decisions. If he doesn’t like you, chances are, he’s going to keep that dead stare & will very rarely emote at all. But if he does, he will make an effort to ‘express’ more in his face (or, well, just the eyes), specifically around organic companions. He understands that emotional tells are more important to organics than to other machines.

Speaking of machines! Neo is far more likely to get off on the right foot with other robots. He’s far, far more conversational with other robots- even enemy ones. He also talks to robots that can’t respond verbally to him (i.e they don’t have a voice chip, or something else)- but that may just be because he likes the sound of his own voice. He does just tend to be more friendly immediately.

He’s currently trying to get one of the Metal Sonic’s that were left behind at the Mystic Ruin’s Eggbase (Final Egg; Neo’s current active location) to become functional again. The other Metal Sonic model is missing, & its pod is smashed; its assumed it was probably stolen before he had arrived there, or may have regained power itself and broke out. Neo doesn’t know, and hasn’t bothered tracking it down. (The Metal Sonic in question; it appears to be part of the Silver Sonic line or maybe a prototype...? idk I haven’t played SA1 in literal years but I am tempted to do something with this)

Also. Neo wants a chao. Neo wants a chao because I want him to have one. No, but for real, he wants one to study. They’re decendants of Chaos after all! Although he stole Chocola & Froggy, one being a descendant of Chaos, and the other having direct contact with them, he thinks there may be more information to gather from them... So. He wants one!

Neo’s base form (which is just normal Metal Sonic) is often only activated upon low charge. Although Neo can go weeks without requiring to recharge, this can also be forcefully activated if he’s sustained significant amounts of damage. It’s a sort of safety killswitch to protect himself and give him enough power to escape a dangerous situation.

Neo, in his current state, is also nowhere near as powerful as his peak. He does talk hot shit, for real. He’s certainly stronger than regular Metal Sonic, but is very much more defeatable than ever & it is something he is keenly aware of. Without direct contact to the Doctor, its a struggle to repair himself. He takes advantage of his stature & reputation to intimidate others out of trying to fight him, and often times he’ll only strike as a warning shot... That is not to say he should be fucked with. He’s very much capable of winning a fight. But he doesn’t go out of his way to do so.

...... Also just found out via Neo’s Sonic wiki page that he also has lightning powers??? Which I initially assumed he didn’t have/had to get it from some kind of source. So. I guess he’s an electrokinesis user too? Idk? Will think about this one a bit more bcuz it kinda took me out of left field HFDJKH

I prepared this one in a libreoffice doc this time hooray for structuring

My main thesis for Chesed as briefly touched upon in my netzach post was this: "Activist Burnout."

i actually went wayyy overboard on uh. just lobcorp itself without LoR, so I'm cutting this particular post off with his Core Supression so I actually post something. But. I do have more. Also I feel like this is mainly recap instead of digging but you may like it anyway? Maybe? Dunno.

"I'm just gonna rewatch his LobCorp scenes to refresh my memory," I said, making this post entirely about LobCorp

The lovely brainworms anon even put this into context of Lobcorp's main symbolism, which I have transcribed from an eaten ask for reading ease.

"It makes sense as well based on the Kabballah, (Disclaimer: I am no expert on the subject matter and am only using what knowledge I've managed to scour on the internet.) Chesed is supposedly the Sephirah of loving kindness whose mercy and compassion balanced out by Geburah the supposed Sephiroth of strength and justice. The two of them needing each other to balance each other out lest  they each go too far. Geburah by going on a rampage and wanting to punish the abnormalities even at the cost of employees. And Chesed as you said, falling into despair, guilt, and activist burnout by putting the blame for things way outside his control onto himself."

Thank you brainworms anon, you are very smart. Though because neither of us are jewish (which i presume from your disclaimer) I'm not the person to go in depth on that particular aspect, but rather take this as confirmation that a major aspect for Chesed is compassion, and an overabundance of it.

Now then, what is activist burnout? A definition I could find courtesy of alive magazine was “when long-term activism-related stressors deteriorate activists’ physical or emotional health or sense of connectedness to their movements, impacting their effectiveness or abilities to remain engaged.”

Another source lists symptoms as

"Exhaustion: Feeling emotionally and physically drained

Cynicism: Having negative associations with the work that once seemed so important

Inefficacy: Doubting self-worth and lack of activist achievement"

The first even notes that prolonged trauma in these environments can even lead to PTSD.

So, why am I saying specifically activist burnout, and not regular burnout?

Because Carmen's crew were activists, easy. Daniel came from a place of privilege as a citizen of a Nest, but recognized the unfair conditions of the world around him and sought to change them for the better through Carmen's great project. The setting of the City and associated Wings is once again a potent satire of the most extreme capitalistic society possible, thereby drawing attention to how the less murdery version affects us in the current day. Of course they're activists.

However, by the time of LobCorp proper, we see all these aforementioned traits. We can see how tired he is from his design alone, as the only Sephirah with bags under his eyes, and always clinging to a cup of coffee to get started in the day.

For the second point, from his second story section onward it becomes clear that he is disillusioned with LobCorp's work. He has an attitude of "why bother wasting effort being mean when it'll be over soon enough" from Chesed's very first interaction with X. He says himself that he's feigning niceness though; he's utterly distanced himself from everything, seeing all of it as "wasted effort" because this cup of coffee went cold a long time ago.

He doesn't see any worth in what he's doing. At all. It seems like he has really low expectations for everything, and acts accordingly. This includes the manager; only when they actually fulfill his tasks does he seem pleasently suprised. In his third interaction, he mocks Angela's meaningless speech of "contributing to something better"

Now the last point is where we get spicy. "I hadn't even developed a taste for coffee back then. Should I say I developed that taste after learning the bitterness of life?"

From flashbacks, we see that during the early days, Chesed was extremely passionate. But, every measure he took failed, courtesy of Angela's sabotage (later revealed to be all in the name of the script). His efforts were doomed to failure in the first place, because human sacrifice wasn't collateral damage to be avoided, it was a necessity.

Chesed has a rather unique position as Sephirot of the Welfare Team. It's literally his duty to help the employees and keep them safe. Unlike most other teams, he directly confronts how death can be minimized, and thus has the greatest awareness of how unavoidable it really is.

"It's a good thing that everyone has such clear-cut assigned roles. It makes it easy for them to be faithful to their task with no unnecessary contemplation or distraction."

"Lady Angela does a very good job at keeping everyone in check in her play. Anytime someone tries to rid themself of their assigned role... Well, she becomes merciless."

Again, his position in the Welfare Team is what allows him to contemplate all this at all, combined with the fact that we know Chesed is already much smarter than he first appears. From his theatrical metaphor, we can even glean that he either came to the conclusion of a script himself, or managed to glean it from Angela's actions. The other Sephirah simply do not have the space to think about it to such a degree.

Angela tells him the truth about how LobCorp creates its energy not only because Chesed was already onto it, but because showing a passionate young man that his every goodwill is useless and will be sabotaged is the best way to break him.

(Another youth broken by the sharp jaws of capitalism~)

We only do things efficiently. Be happy you have this job at all. Just drink some coffee, you'll feel better.  "What's the point of it all?"

By the end of it all, he just gave up. If he went against Angela, if he told the employees the truth, she'd just kill them. And it will be his fault.

During Chesed's fifth segment, we actually get to see his relationship with Gebura, as touched upon by Brainworm Anon.

Angela herself says that "Gebura has failed to control her enmity, and has now lost her way." Chesed's kindness had made him unable to act, unable to rebel for fear of consequence. Despite saying he doesn't care for the welfare of employees, who else could it be for? "I hope you continue to rot until the day you die, succumbing to your fears like the servile bastard you are," says Gebura, hitting the nail on the head while also being very mean.

Gebura goes hard in the exact opposite direction. Chesed is consumed by fear, but she won't let herself be afraid. Ever. She'll confront everything head on, she'll punish each and every Abnormality as much as she can. The flipside to this is that "lack of fear" doesn't just mean for herself, but also for others. Her initial task as Kali was protecting others, and by refusing to show fear and setting her focus on raw strength, she accepts any casualty, completely contradicting her initial mission. But that's a topic for another post.

From the wise words of Brainrot Anon:

"But the way both Geburah and Chesed both grow into being healthier more balanced versions of themselves makes my heart swell with happiness in knowing that all our hardwork in LC did pay off when it came to helping our friends."

Indeed.

Speaking of growing into a healthier version of yourself, we have arrived at the turning point!

"Everyone has their own battle in this place...," he says after Gebura storms off, "But I can't seem to shake off this feeling that I'm the only one who just observes this situation from afar, not taking any action."

Wu oh! We've finally arrived at the self loathing! In a way, this is both completely out of his control, and a prison of his own making. Angela's sabotage was a delibarate effort to break his spirit, and yet Chesed himself tried to distance himself from the harsh reality as much as possible.

This dear statement shows us that his unique position, the most aware of the truth of LobCorp amongst the Upper and Middle Sephirah as well as seemingly unable to do anything about it, was eating him up inside.

Flashback to Garion. She tells him flat out, it doesn't matter whether he opens the door or not, because Garion will just do it herself if he doesn't. Eerily similar to the exact previous moment of Angela asking Chesed to lower the Qlipoth Detrrence. Hell, it's both about setting the Abnormalities free!

Daniel doesn't resist, because he has no choice, right? Resistance's all pointless, right? Daniel was consumed by fear, the same way Chesed was.

His core supression, his rebellion, is about taking the reins back into his own hands, about moving past the burnout and actually acting again. To him, every word of praise for his cowardice was just another pile of guilt. And the manager kept fulfilling his tasks, kept reducing casualties, kept showing him that its possible to act and to succeed!

"I don't want to undertake dirty work for Angela's show, or be a puppet who gets praise and applause from everyone. Nor do I want to be your "aide" who can't do a single thing. All of this has been a series of shame for me. Manager, this shall be my rebellion against you and Angela."

He was sick of taking a step back, of letting the shame pile on and on. We also see a bit of survivor's guilt from Daniel, regretting he was the only person who survived the initial attack from Garion.

Making this post, I'm seeing that Chesed's story is about how one gets burned out, and how one breaks out of it. How too much compassion results in guilt, and that with enough external pressure, compassion is discarded because of fear. You can try to change the world all you like, but the world will chew you up and spit you out. If you let it, that is.

"Why did I never come to the realization that I myself could be my own saviour?"

"I'm still afraid, manager. I'm still unsure if I can truly fight back against the fear I may face in the future. But I've decided not to run away, at the very least."

Chesed's Seed of Light is called "Those who are Faithful and Trustworthy." He reevaluated who he should really believe in, whose orders he should really follow, without just giving up and rolling over. In the end, if he decides to place his trust in the manager, it's of his own volition.

In a way, my initial grasp of his character may have been lacking..... I mainly focused on the first half of it, without touching upon the important aspect of reconcillation and regaining the passion thought lost. Only once he starts believing in his work again does Chesed not only act but feel like he is kind again.

One thing I may have mentioned about Chesed in regards to LoR, is that he still distances himself from other's suffering... but I don't think it's a bad thing as it was in LobCorp. It's all about the scope. LobCorp was something Chesed was directly involved in. A lof of "What if Daniel tried to resist Garion? What if Chesed tried to resist Angela?" and in the case of Chesed vs Jae-heon, the Library is the thing Chesed decided to place his trust in, which Jae-heon tries to destroy. Them standing in direct opposition leads Chesed to fall back on the attitude of "why waste effort being mean?"

As a final note, I find his Core Supression incredibly ironic, as all Core Suppressions are, since his is damage amplification. He's not hurting Angela or the manager, just the employees. Maybe that's why he needs to be supressed in that case in the first place. Well, it's always darkest before dawn, and every Sephirah is most batshit before enlightenment.

Hi, could you rank the seasons in order of couples/pairings who had the most chemistry and the best development? My order is s5, s3, s2, s4, s6, s1. Isi and Sascha could have been something but they're unsinkable bcuz the season sucked and everything suffered as a result of it. On a lighter note, Kiki and carlos would be my no.1 if they had their own season.

ooo okay, this is a really good question!!! also love how you didn’t even add s7 to your list skdkskd they’re that bad <3 first of all, i’m not gonna rank based on chemistry because development and chemistry i feel like are two VERY different things and chemistry is a really hard thing to measure… not to mention i do genuinely believe that all the druck couples have really good chemistry, even including sascha and isi, and that’s not necessarily a reflection of my personal feelings of the couple or even their development, but on the actors and their chemistry irl lmao

now, for a ranking of most to least developed:

s5 - honestly i think spiderwitz might be the most well-developed couple in the entire skamverse skdkek and maybe that’s a little biased but i also genuinely feel like nora’s season as a whole is one of, if not THE, most well written season in the skamverse as well. i truly don’t have any complaints about s5 or spiderwitz as a couple. like just everything from the mystery boy set up building that anticipation to when they first meet, to nora kissing him for the first time and him not letting her because he can see she’s hurting (also that episode literally being called cold kisses???), to the rooftop scene after and them having their REAL first kiss after, and then her pushing josh away when she feels numb and him!!! refusing to let her!!! and her telling josh she doesn’t feel anything for him anymore and saying she’s just gonna hurt him and him saying he’ll take it 😭😭😭😭 AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE “I CAN FEEL YOU”/MINUTE BY MINUTE SCENE!!! god they’re development and story is just truly so beautiful i love them sm

s6 - okay i realize you put them much lower on your list, and while i do get that to a certain extent and they would likely be lower on mine if we were talking about just their specific season bc i do have my issues with some of the way things were handled in s6… they are higher because of the additional development we got for them in s5. s5 did a great job of setting up fatou’s season and the kieutou plotline, and i do also think that in s6 they had some pretty great development throughout as well. it was just really beautiful to get to see them grow, especially kieu my and how she went from brushing off their new years kiss to climbing fatou’s roof to get to her like :’) and then we also get background s7 cuteness and who could ask for more 😌

s3 - they’re an evak, so kind of my default they tend to be well-developed hskdjd but also druck’s version of s3 is very different from the og and i was really impressed with the way they did s3! obviously i don’t love what they did with david’s outing, but beyond that i do really love the decision to make him trans and i loved the way that their story specifically was handled! they’re one of my favorite evaks and i absolutely loved the fact that their development in s4 basically just included them being happy in the background rather than some unnecessary drama skdkdkd

s4 - again, they’re a yousana, it’s kind of a default that they’re well developed. i loved the introduction of mohammed in the special episode, and just all their little moments throughout the season as a whole. they’re such a sweet couple, and the reason they’re lower isn’t because they’re less developed so much that the others are more developed since we got more time with all the others (😐)

s2 - dude i just don’t like noorhelms sjdkskd like i think druck’s s2 is one of the better ones, not because alex is necessarily better than william, but because they took the original plot lines and made them fit in a way that made more sense? like having kiki explicitly say that she doesn’t want mia dating alex and then having mia RUN TO HIM?? and then kiki finding out and her being so rightfully upset?? like it was actually really well done and it made mia more of a flawed character than noora, who was supposed to be seen as perfect in a way. that being said, i just really don’t love the way that they were developed because like with any other noorhelm, falling for someone who did and is actively doing such horrible things to your best friend (especially alex dude, like he said REALLY shitty things to kiki when they were “dating”) does not make any sense to me. also the fact that they were actually like a relatively okay noorhelm after their season and they still got a breakup out of nowhere doesn’t sit right with me either even if we’re not counting post-their season skdkekd

s1 - okay heaaaaaaar me out: i think these two are also extremely well-developed in s1…. it just doesn’t end in a relationship and that’s why in terms of a relationship, they’re lower skdkekd and if we’re were talking about the show as a whole, it would be number two baby, because i jonas and hanna are my favorite joneva because of how they’re developed the rest of the show skdkskd like the scene where he gives her her nose back in s4??? tears!!! but yeah, as it stands in s1, their relationship was well developed, but it obviously ended in a breakup (rightfully so, it makes sense for the way things WERE developed)

i KNOW i technically answered this in the prev ask, but i mean, this IS a ganondorf blog and it’d be rude of me to NOT talk even more about him. oot ganondorf ultimately has my heart as like... my Very First Ganondorf(TM). i am an oot child, it was the first zelda game i played, and while i barely even engaged with the story bcuz i was terrified of the monsters (including the stalchildren, legally could Not play as child link bcuz of that) and only rode around on epona all day, the nostalgia is what rly gets me. the dramatics of the organ as u ascend the tower (which btw on the subject of my fear, oot was the first game i played to completion when i was like, thirteen, in terms of Game With Scary Evil Monsters And Battle Mechanics), the fact he decided he was gonna grow out a majestic mane bcuz why not, the very obvious theatrics that his young, evil brain whipped up in his gothic ass castle he was like fuck u hylians with ur fuckin white castle symbolizing purity n shit, im gonna make this castle look tight as FUCK and float over LAVA bcuz we arent pretending anymore about being all uwu perfect n good!! my good dude may not have the profound lore and depth of ww ganondorf but he makes up for it in ~*PRESENTATION.*~ i also consider tp ganondorf to be a direct connection to oot ganondorf in terms of like. edgy goth and his dramatics are included in this.

13. zelda game w/ best character design?

honestly i feel like i can’t answer this SUPER well bcuz i havent played a ton of zelda games to full completion. tp and ww i got SO close but then we moved, and our tv is broken, and i am Not figuring out how to hook up my wii to my computer, imma just wait until they inevitably released on switch. ss i literally am still at the first temple sb needs to hold my hand thru that game bcuz i cannot find myself excited to play. botw makes me delighted in how there is time-based behavioral patterns for the npcs like majora’s mask, but the designs arent rly thrilling. saying mm feels like SUCH a cop-out, esp since so many npcs were lifted from oot and reused, but the designs make the brain go brrrrr.

im not letting myself say majora’s mask in this one. HMM it’s hard tho bcuz the Most Bestest(TM) atmosphere in the games are time-specific. like blood moon time in botw? chilling. the fuckin giant octorok in ww? literal nightmares haunts me forever. i know atmospheric usually means like ~nostalgia~ or ~romantic~ or just general Aesthetic(TM), but it is the creepy shit that rly sticks with me DFGHKJFD like ganondorf in oot, stopping his organ playing, to whip around dramatically and flip back his cape in total silence as he faces link? So this is my opinion on how I interpret Confession's lyrics.

Keeping in mind that Jongin himself and Chanyeol wrote the korean lyrics and they made the song gender neutral and didn't specify any gender while the demo was explicitly (hetero) sexual I think this song is about a rupture/falling off in a relationship and Jongin wants his partner to confess all the burdens and not keep bottled up to himself.

These are the lyrics that made me think it's not a first time meet up but it's about a already established relationship

And then the speaker confronts his partner about things left unsaid/ lies and that they have cracks in the relationship

And its bcuz the other changed and has secrets so the speaker wants him to just trust him and confess

So then the speaker encourages his partner to trust and confess bcuz he will still love him even when he is not perfect, even when they're aren't always happy, when there are problems etc.

And then jong/in does a very clever metaphor. He says "you don't need no makeup" in its literal sense that the other person is so beautiful bare faced but also he doesn't need no makeup meaning the other doesn't have to pretend in a relationship, doesn't have to put on masks and facades when he's with the speaker. This is made obvious by the fact that he also says "let it all go don't mind it".

And ofc the lyrics that sold me on the fact that it may be about ksoo are these lyrics

We all know ksoo has one of the best poker faces in the game, is elegant and classy and has a deep voice . Maybe the poker face can be applied to other people he has been involved with but not the deep voice.

So yeah in conclusion taking into account how rocky kaisoo's rlship has been and what they have gone through and how much both of them have changed especially ksoo I think this is about them confronting all of those things. And not a hookup song.

This is ji's first lyrics as a songwriter so it is pretty important and impressive that so many meanings can be contained here. The lack of gender specific pronouns is also amazing. When you compare it with his other solo song spoiler which wasn't written by him and was very explicitly about hookups. The fact that ji changed it is amazing. The fact that no one but kaisooists even pay attention to this song's lyrics instead of erigoms who thrist over and pay attention more to someone else's English lyrics of the demo is NOT amazing but its telling 👎👎

This is just my interpretation based on the translation. If the nuances don't come off from Korean and if it's about completely something else then 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. We should keep a lookout for ji's solo album and if he has written any lyrics there. It may be interesting what we find.

1: explain why you ship huelet bcuz ummm i want u to talk about them. 2: what was your first ship, and what fandom is it from? 3: what is the most underrated ship, in your opinion?

Okay this is gonna be long bear with me

1. Okay so as specifically you know I ship Huelet because you started shipping it and i was like ‘oh huh that kind of slaps’ akjdhfajdd. BUT ummm god i just. I love their dynamic because. I mean obviously both of their characters revolve around being a ‘nerd’ right. Like they’re both the fact-havers and the book-readers of their respective trios. But also the ways in which they differ are SO interesting to me bc I definitely think Violet has a much looser approach to facts and rules while Huey very much likes to stick within very defined boxes and lines. Like, Violet would say that whether or not to use the oxford comma is a case by case basis and depends on the flow of the writing, which would drive Huey INSANE because he has an itemized list of situations in which it is okay to omit the oxford comma but all other situations you MUST HAVE IT or you’re WRONG. And the way those two perspectives clash means they would literally stay up until 4am arguing about the most specific and niche bullshit, and drive EVERYONE else at the sleepover INSANE, and then at the end they would be like ‘great debate.’ It’s just like, they can match each other on that intellectual debate field in a way that nobody else really can, and that’s very rewarding for both of them, even if they can get very frustrated with each other akjsdjadshgfasdk. Also I just love Huey being really intimidated by Violet and getting insecure that she wont like him and all that and then Violet being like ‘nah you’re cool actually.’ It’s just really sweet.

2. This one’s kind of arguableee but I think it has to be the love square from Miraculous Ladybug? I was involved in the ML fandom very very early on way back in like 2015 or whatever and it was the first fandom I ever really joined, and obviously that was the ship. I don’t write for it anymore and the show’s gotten kind of hit or miss (I still really enjoy watching it--its a comfort show for me--but like it has some writing problems) but I just love all the dynamics. It also really taught me that you can make romance just SO fucking FUNNY and I think its a big reason why I write the kind of things I write, being rom-coms based on misunderstanding and mutual pining and comedic dialog. I definitely owe a LOT to that fandom and that ship :’)

3. I’m gonna stick with DuckTales for this one, and... hm. That’s hard actually. Most of my ships are pretty popular, mostly because I don’t really have many ships for this fandom, so like... Actually. It would probably be huey/violet/boyd. I think thats a really really cute poly ship but obviously since it’s a poly ship you dont see a ton for it, and it often gets overshadowed by the more popular splits of huey and vi and huey and boyd. Which, to be honest, I deifnitely ship those two more than the poly ship, but I still think that its one of the most underrated in my opinion because its still very good with all three of them.
