It's almost like the twisted sense of familial ties and never being able to change the way they saw one another is the core struggle of Calebmc. It's almost like Caleb himself says this exact thing during his "I'm tired playing this game of house" rant.

It's almost as if their entire relationship is founded in being so closely bonded to one another to a point that they can still fall for each other despite the situation they were placed (and found comfort) in. It's almost as if Calebmc is an exploration of codependency founded in trauma, love that transcends modern societal morality, and cherishing the one person you have ever known unconditionally in every way you possibly can while you still have time.

If you cannot handle the canonical themes that are being presented, that is understandable and the exact reason the eng translation has given people who would be uncomfortable with this the "childhood best friends" trope. But to go around and harass and demonize those who enjoy the canonical aspect of Calebmc is ridiculous, immature, shortsighted, and chronically online behavior.

I'm not gonna do this organized headcanon style, we're just gonna ramble to get all the thoughts out and then I dunno maybe I'll organize it all as drawings or something later okay? So.

First of all Yandere caregivers as just a concept alone Fascinate me. I looove the Yandere trope, the possessive, the clingy, the manipulative, it's always so so so so fun and something about tying it up with Agere is just sooo good, more people should do that.

For Gaster, I think that being Yandere manifests as this sort of... Pet-like endearment to us? The player is, like I said once, like a Lab Rat to him.. but like a Lab Rat the scientist got attached to and roots for?

He wants to build you an enclosure you can have fun in, one you don't want to leave, one where he can keep watch over you, keep you safe from harsh reality of your own world...

No one else in the game matters, who they are and what they want. What matters is you, his dear player, his darling little one, and all the fun you have, doing whatever it is you choose to do.

I'm soooo back and forth on if he's even directly interacting with you or if this is pure observation adoration. Cause I looove art of Gaster cupping the soul in his hands, tender and safe despite the large holes they could easily slip through. I like the mental image of him tucking us into his pocket as he paces around the lab, or allowing us to wonder his desk as he works

But also the ever present, ever watching eyes as he explore the enclosure he made us. Like mice in a maze, he cannot assist us, only watch as we find dead end after dead end. Only when we reach the exit can he finally reward us, tell us how proud he is, how special we are, how wonderful we've been.

I think both could work and probably in the same timeline, just one before the other I suppose. I love both dynamics a lot, just one is more canon-aligned than the other dfgdfhg

Lief Anders of the Explorer Au also known as "The Anders who lived." Due to the fact that his other self dies heroically while protecting Jade and Lief during trollstice (the same one that took Branch's grandma)

This version of Anders gets to grow old and as he does his vocal chords get worse so he chooses to primarily use sign unless he really can't.

Mr. Anders gets there before Floyd and stays to help both of them, then during the escape Floyd blames himself for not going back for Clay who never makes it out of the tunnels. Branch is just a bit more well adjusted since Floyd came back and he has a stable father figure (no shade to JD or Floyd in the main au they just were also struggling so it hindered their ability to help properly)

Branch is also copying Floyd's bangs a bit and failing XD

The two have a good relationship with Mr. Anders who continues to be the Dad who stepped up as he starts a foster program for young trolls who are in similar situations to Branch.
