woah semi future au magolor and sailor designs???

uh yeah. Magolor finally forms a bond with the lor and becomes its captain for realsies this time

he spends his time exploring and studying magic/dark matter/gem apples and if their power can be safely harnessed

he also just goes on side quests a lot. he may be reformed but he will still do a lot for a quick buck lol

he’s mastered his dimensional magic as well, which is why his cape looks like that :>

on the other hand, sailor is the new captain of the halberd and leader of the meta-knights. most of their job is taking down monsters but there is the occasional rogue wizard to stop from destroying the world or unleashing dark matter (huh, sounds familiar…)

they are usually very busy with work but make an effort to visit dreamland frequently in order to stay close to everyone. she’s always been a little distant from the rest of her family but i think she opens up a bit more after she, Bandee, and Kirby all start taking leadership positions. gives them something to bond over

by this point meta has retired from fighting completely but he’ll still give sailor advice when they need it. she appreciates having someone around who knows just how tiring a job it can be, and he’s very proud of her

oh, and one more thing

yea i let them get married. what are you gonna do about it? /silly

they don’t get to see each other much because of their jobs but they’re a thing

Idk man but as a person whose primary source of outsized flinch responses was an environment where everything had to be sunny and fluffy and harmonious all the time at least on the surface (and this meant you were never allowed to make anyone uncomfortable by questioning the status quo, or processing grief or complexity except in the most rigidly policed and specified ways, or pointing out injustice), the idea that anything vaguely upsetting isn’t fit for public discussion or consumption and should be relegated to shameful dark corners plastered with the equivalent of long term nuclear waste warnings because Think Of The Trauma Victims feels uh. throwing up bc the first thing i saw when i woke up is a post from some person REBLOGGING someone else's fic and ranting about how the characterization is terrible. i had a look at the person's blog and they had several posts about other characters, basically just ranting about how people who characterize them certain ways are awful and wrong and should stop posting their content or wtv. and obv the first and last interaction I'm going to have with this person is blocking them, so that they don't have the opportunity to reblog one of MY works and tell me that MY fanfiction is wrong. but how was this supported? how were there people in the notes agreeing with their sentiments?

there's a difference between extremely problematic content that isn't properly tagged, and characterization preferences. it's actually fine to reduce characters down to a few personality traits, it's actually fine to reject source material. please let people write what they want. and don't reblog it with unsolicited criticism 😭 if you prefer something else for a character.... WRITE IT YOURSELF <3

every so often I come across a piece of fiction where Character A expresses to Character B that Character B does not truly love them, because if you really loved me, you would have abandoned that belief you have, broken that rule you have, given up this way of life you've valued since before I ever came into it, I'm not even saying you have to do it always but you should do it for me, I should be the exception, and if you won't then you don't love me, you never have!

and I find myself thinking wow, how cruel is that, to declare that you must be the singularly most important thing in someone's life at all times, that they must be willing to abandon everything they believe in for your wants or their love isn't real, how cruel to say they must abandon a part of themselves for your satisfaction, to declare that the way they do love you is so insufficient as to be unrecognisable because it isn't exactly what you want

and then I go to engage with the fandom and everybody thinks Character A is unquestionably correct in all ways and Character B is a terrible person

Hello <3 yes totally, reblog is ok :) reblog is the fact to share the post so it appears on your dash & blog (so the original poster is still the one appearing on the post, it's like a retweet for twitter :3).

A repost is the act to create a full new post while using the content of someone else so it can be a problem if the person didn't have the consent of the original poster/creator.

I hope it's clear enough, don't hesitate to come back with more questions about tumblr if you're not sure of something :) and good luck with your artworks, I hope people will reblog it a lot to spread it so you'll be able to have more visibility here <3

i keep going back to read sparklecare thinking i'll like it but i just...don't

maybe i'm silly but it feels very flat? I still have no real grasp on the characters or attachment to them, I have vague ideas of a few of their main traits but not much else. I'm aware the entire comic is basically vent art, it does just read like a child's fanfic though..not to be insulting to fanfiction, but it does have a certain style or writing or joking to it. I don't dislike it either, but the writing and characters just don't vibe with me, i don't have the words to adequately explain why though
