Today was the annual ‘bring your kid to work day’ on the marvel set, the filming of Endgame had been taking place for a few months and finally a date had been set for all the actors to bring their kids with them for the day. You had managed to avoid all the previous meetings, saying you needed to study or that you had a headache. You had met most of the cast on a few occasions by now, that wasn’t the problem, it was the amount of people that caused the hair to rise on the back of your neck. You were also the oldest kid, being in your early teens while the rest were toddlers, it’s not like you could hang out with them. You had tried so hard to get out of this day, but your mom pushed every problem aside. She even moved the dentist appointment you made yourself to next week so you could come to set, you just didn’t want to upset her by saying you’d rather not go.

You arrived at 11:30am and most of the cast had already arrived for the day. You stuck close by your mom as she said her hellos and just politely waved when they acknowledged you. “Come on sweetie there’s a few new people I wanna introduce you to” Scarlett said as she pulled you out of her trailer with her. You stuck closely by your mom as the two of you made your way through the set. “Y/n this is Chris Pratt, Chris this is my daughter” Scarlett said introducing you to yet another Chris “ah the little Johansson, pleasure to meet you” he said as he extended his hand “hi” you mumbled shaking his hand in greeting. “Oh there’s Joe, I just need to speak to the director hunny I’ll be back in a minute” Scarlett said as she began to walk away “wait can I come with you?” You called after her “I won’t be long y/n, I think Lizzie’s around if you want to find her” your mom called back.

You wanted to run after your mom but your feet were stuck to the ground. “So” Chris said awkwardly “how old are you y/n” he politely asked “14” you mumbled shyly, scanning the room for any sign of someone safe, preferably your mom. “I think Scarlett will be back in a second, sorry I’ve gotta run to makeup, it was nice meeting you” Chris said excusing himself from the awkward situation. You felt your legs begin to shake as you continued to search the room for your mom, a few cast members flashed you small smiles but you just ignored their gazes. “Hey kiddo” a voice called from behind you, you thanked the stars when you realised it was Lizzie. “Hi Elizabeth” you quietly said as she led you to a nearby couch “you waiting for your mom?” She said “and you can call me Lizzie by the way” she bumped your arm. You nodded politely and began biting your finger nails.

Lizzie attempted to make some small talk with you but as she figured it was more of a one sided conversation. “Lizzie!” Scarlett beamed as she came back over to you both “its great to see you” she said as the two said hello with a hug. You allowed the two a brief catch up while you came to your mom’s side, the anxiety finally subsiding. “Alright sweetie I’m not needed for a little while so you wanna go back to my trailer?” Scarlett asked you “yes please” you said. The two of you said goodbye to Lizzie and made your way back to Scarlett’s trailer. You held on tightly to her hand as you danced through the crowds. “You ok y/n?” Scarlett said when you grabbed her hand, you simply nodded. “Hey talk to me little bear” she cooed as she opened the door to her trailer.

“I’m sorry” you whispered as your mom led you towards the couch “there’s just a lot of people here that I don’t know” you mumbled. “Oh sweetie” Scarlett said as she cuddled up with you “I’m sorry I should’ve realised it might be too much for you” she said. “I don’t mean to be like this, I’m sorry” you sighed “hey stop apologising” Scarlett said as she gentle brushed your hair from your face “there’s nothing wrong with being a little shy you know” she cooed. “How do you do it, all the people you have to talk to?” You asked, avoiding her gaze. “Well I guess I’ve been doing it for so long I don’t really think about it anymore” Scarlett said “but I still get nervous sometimes. I know it probably looks like I’m really outgoing but it’s just part of my job, I’d much rather be curled up with you all day” your mom said, lifting your chin up to meet her gaze.

You leaned into Scarlett’s embrace and gently closed your eyes “love you mama” you said as you buried your face in her neck “I love you too my little bear” Scarlett kissed your forehead. Your nap was short lived as your mom gently shook you awake “baby I’ve gotta go makeup do you wanna come with me?” She asked. You groaned as you tried to pull her back to cuddling you “wanna stay here with you mommy” you mumbled sleepily. “Me too sweetheart but mommy has to work” Scarlett said giving your tummy a soft tickle “you can sit with me the whole time I promise, even on mamas lap if you want too” your mom teased. “I’m not a baby” you pouted “well you’re my baby” Scarlett said as she helped you to your feet. “My shy little baby, you know I wouldn’t want you any other way than yourself” she said as she kissed your forehead. “Mom don’t be so soppy” you laughed.

RIPTIDE!!!!! - really long animated series

not an anime though, no matter how much grizzly wants it, it would be an animation style where the characters could have very clearly different nose, face and body shapes, really pushing my riptide nose agenda here sorry, each episode would be like 20-40 minutes long and instead of coming out in seasons there would be massive gaps in between episodes, from 2-6 months long, to leave time for writers and animators to get stuff done (massive team of animators btw, i feel like it would be pretty successful)

literally nothing else they could be, just really well made, well performing comics (i’ve already talked about this before you can stalk my talk tag if you really want to find it lmao), the comic company making them would be keeping well away from movies n shit btw

BLOOD IN THE BAYOU!!! - i hate to say it, i really do…

bitb would be a really long really good 80s horror book with strong homoerotic undertones, a satisfied fanbase and lots of active members in the community making fan comics, films, writing, theories and art ect… until well after the book came out……….. and then it would be made into the most egregious and awful live action movie you have ever seen, the most awful casting (like chris pratt as officer dudes….. throws up) and even worse sfx, oh yeah and the characters would be ruined and the story would become so butchered it wouldn’t make sense, they would do some shit like cut out becky so kian just kisses some random lady (removing both a really good and well written character and a layer of kian’s character that i think is super important) and make rolan really be an evil bug spy the whole time so rand has to kill him to save the town also add in a whole new sub plot that never existed like the rand family is secretly a long line of bug alien hunters or something fucking stupid like that and the entire fanbase would murder whoever thought re-writing the story was a good idea (ahaha can you tell ive been through something like this before ahahaha, character morals and motives being removed and whatnot ahahahhahahaha.)

Pratt teases his future in the Marvel and DC worlds.

Over the years, Chris Pratt has lent his talents to a wide array of projects, from Parks and Recreation to The Super Mario Bros Movie to the Jurassic World series. Following the release of last year's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which ended with a title card teasing that his character of Peter Quill / Star-Lord will return, fans have wondered if another Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance will be on the horizon. Additionally, with Guardians writer-director James Gunn now co-leading DC Studios, there have also been plenty of theories suggesting that Pratt could follow him to this new franchise. While speaking to ComicBook about his work on The Garfield Movie, Pratt argued that either option is equally likely, and that he could very well end up appearing in both superhero sagas.

"Well, it probably make more sense that I would be Star Lord again," Pratt said in our interview, which you can check out above. "But anything is possible, and especially with James over at DC. Maybe there's something that would be right over there. Maybe both. How about both? Let's do both. I think it's 100% both."

Is Chris Pratt Joining the DCU?

Gunn has already teased that a number of Guardians of the Galaxy cast members could end up joining the DCU, although no roles have been cast thus far. One popular fan theory has been that Pratt might play Michael Carter / Booster Gold, who is set to get his own exclusive Max series. In a 2023 interview with Rolling Stone, Pratt addressed that possibility, and admitted that he would be open to it in the right circumstances.

"If James thought I was right for it, then you know that I would have to consider it," Pratt explained at the time.

Today, the school will reopen after the summer break. For Y/N, school reopening means having to cope with to of her least favorite teacher - Professor Pratt . Who teaches two of her favorite subjects.

You were sitting beside your best friend and it was the 3rd class of the day, which means, History. The first two classes were amazing. The teachers were nice, no homework given, no overloading, nothing. So, you were in a good mood. That was until you checked the timetable. History. Shit. You looked at your best friend, hopelessly already annoyed, just by realizing that history means you have to cope with Chris Pratt. Your history /english teacher (unfortunately ).

Y/B/F/N : Come onn Y/N!!!!! For God's sake. It's just one goddamn class!!

Y/N : Why is it always, me?? I mean, why in the nine realms is the teacher of my favorite subject so damn annoying and a complete asshole?!!He's the worst!!! Argh!

Y/B/F/N : It's okay, dear. Everything would be fine. You know I also hate him as much as you do.....

You sit in one of the front desks, face down and covered with your hands. Suddenly, you hear some heavy footsteps. As you were sitting in the front you had to stand up as to show respect to the 'amazing' (not) teacher.

Still you didn't look up, just stood in your place. You could feel your bestie's eyes on you but you simply sighed.

Teacher : Good morning, class. Please, sit down.

Immediately your head snapped up. This voice couldn't belong to that jerk of a teacher, no. It sounded so calming, a perfect, british accent.

Looking up, you saw a devastatingly handsome man standing in front of you. He looked like as if his face was carved by the God himself. He was tall, above 6 ft. "Nope! It's not that dumbass" you thought. You exchanged glances with your best friend, confused about what this handsome man is doing here.

Teacher : I am Tom Hiddleston and I will be teaching you English and History from now. You can call me Mr. Hiddleston or Professor Hiddleston.

The man said with a friendly smile and nod. The whole class greeted this adonis. You were still a bit shocked, but extremely happy.

Professor H. : Would you all like to you introduce yourselves? I'm new here and thus, don't know any of you?!

Whole class : Sure!

Professor H. *pointing to a boy who was sitting at the corner *: We can start with you, young man.

The boy introduced himself and so did the rest of the class and now it was your turn.

Y/N : Hello, professor! My name is Y/N Y /L /N and my favorite subjects are History and English. I like to draw.

Professor H. : Oh, that's great!Hope you enjoy the classes. *smiles and you return the gesture *

The whole class was amazing, the way he spoke was so passionate and his sweet and polite nature was a cherry on top. You were really grateful to God for finally listening to your prayers and providing you a better teacher.

*A few months later *

You had established a friendly teacher - student relationship with your favorite professor, Professor Hiddleston. You were the best student of his class and he was proud of you.

That day you got the notice that the Headmistress is assigning a few students with the position of a teacher's assistant.

The next day, you and your best friend were called to the principal office.As you entered, you saw your principal, Professor Hiddleston and Mr. Jeon Jungkook, your science professor . Both you greeted them and stood there. God that man was looking so amazing that day (as always) Mr. Jungkook was also looking great, but he was your bestie's. My apologies you’ve probably been asked this many times already. What’s your view point about Hellena Taylor asking people to boycott the new Bayonetta game? Do you think consumers will listen to her or do you think people will buy the game regardless? How do you think her employers and the investors will take this news of her speaking out?

Two things to preface this with, for transparency:

I have no real interest Bayonetta or related properties, and wasn’t buying Bayonetta 3 regardless of the boycotting thing. So I don’t have a dog in this fight either way.

I don’t know shit about voice acting and actual VA pay rates. I just know people like Troy Baker are exceptions and not the rule, and that anime dub and video game actors seem to get fucked over the most frequently — esp. since copies of games sold don’t seem to grant royalties like other media does. So I’m assuming $4,000 USD is absurdly, ludicrously low for a title like Bayo unless someone gives me a point of reference.

That being said I think Hellena Taylor is completely within her right to say what she said and ask for a boycott. I don’t know how to effective it’ll be given that both Twitter and gaming in general is inherently full of brainlets that will miss the point entirely and/or create discourse that is tangentially related at best, but I totally think she’s in the right for speaking up and I’m tired of voice actors being mistreated. I think it’s fucking insane that Chris Pratt can barely quarter ass an iconic video game character and get paid millions because he’s a “celebrity”, but professional voice actors more often than not get peanuts in comparison. And way more mistreatment to boot.

I don’t know if VA’s are represented by agencies (like, say, models or something) or anything like that, so I have no idea how an employer like that would react in this situation. Assuming she’s being fully honest, I don’t see how this would affect her getting future jobs. But I know voice actors get fucked over a lot and that the industry as a whole is frequently very dodgy, so idk.

As for investors…. Idk. Nintendo is backing Bayonetta to keep it as an exclusive or whatever, sure, but Platinum Games as a whole has been kind of a financial disaster in recent years. So I don’t know if/how this will affect PG itself or any investors. Keep in mind, though, that PG is also dealing with the commercial disaster that was Babylon’s Fall with Square Enix as well, so I can’t imagine current/potential investors are particularly enthused in regards to giving them money right now.

What I find confusing about this is like… if you were only going to pay the original actress $4,000, why the fuck would you then go and hire Jennifer Hale? To my knowledge, Hale is far more famous and has a shitload of characters under her belt. Maybe I’m missing something, but I’d assume Hale would be way more of an expense than Taylor.

However, all that being said, I completely disagree with the point Hellena Taylor made in her third (I think?) video. If they brought Jennifer Hale onto the project as the new voice, then Jennifer absolutely has the right to call herself Bayonetta’s current voice actor and add that to her credits list even if she isn’t the original actress and didn’t create the voice. She is absolutely allowed to sign merch and attend cons and whatever else representing that role. That’s what a fucking ‘portrayal’ of a character is — it’s really ignorant to think otherwise and pretty gross to potentially send hate in the direction of a colleague.

Like. I hate that Kiefer Sutherland replaced David Hayter in what will most likely the last Kojima-lead Metal Gear game. I hate that Lani Minella got replaced as Nancy Drew by a relative newcomer after 30+ games since 1998. But to say that Kiefer Sutherland and Brittany Cox essentially shouldn’t take credit for their work because they didn’t create the character/voice for the character from the start is really fucking dumb. Being the original isn’t necessarily the be-all and end-all portrayal of a character, either — just look at Dante from DMC. The third voice actor is considered the definitive one in that case.

Banshees is nowhere near my favourite movie and I have a few complaints especially the way I think the script is a little to robotic for me but I think Colin brings a subtelty to his performance that balances a level of pathos and absurdity of the situation while still weirdly being happy-go lucky and introspective that is not easy to do. In the same way that paul mescal who delivers a performance that while small, is still profound in the way he combines his minimalism and physicality to be able to convey the emotional state of that character. Sometimes smaller performances dont get the appreciation they deserve.

I think saying anyone can do what colin does is a bit of reach for example neither chris evans or chris pratt or leonardo dicaprio could do what colin does. I agree that his character isnt very exceptional or radical different but colin adds the uniqeness and charisma to that character that only colin could really bring even if I dont like the film I can see what hes doing as an actor. (Also shout out barry who always delivers)

In the same way austin as elvis was able to be both extravagant and add a level of humanity to elvis something I felt rami malek or taron egerton (though I loved rocketman) failed to do which is capture the human aspect of the characters they were portraying. Despite my love for austin he would not be able to do what colin does in banshees its a different type of acting that he hasnt mastered at all (as of right now) in the same way colin couldnt do elvis.

For me believability is weird criteria (for determing good acting from bad) because I only think that criteria only works when we are talking about biopics. Brendan fraser delivers an amazing performance but in no way is it believable as the whale a very exaggerated depiction if not fat-phobic. Same with michelle yeohs performance its not meant to be beliveable its abusrdist and michelle is able to play along with that absurdity (in a million different ways) but you are still able to connect with her primarily because the relationship dynamics that exist in that film are grounded in reality. (but I could write a 20 page essay why her performance is literal perfection and how she should have already won an oscar )

If we are talking about something that is absurd then its not expecting you to view these characters as believabe but finding a way to connect with them through the unbelivable shit happening around them.

what is "notworthy acting"? What is your determining factor?

Well, "noteworthy" just means something of note....something interesting...something that really grabs you... So, when I say someone's acting is "noteworthy" , I just mean that it commanded my attention, it stood OUT to ME, it was something that stuck with me for a long time... it was interesting, or even riveting. It's almost to the point where I can't even imagine anyone else in that role. That's what I mean. 😊

Someone's acting can be "good", but not really "noteworthy" (imo) to the point where it makes me say, "WOW... that was really good." 😳

For example, I personally thought Colin was "good" in the "Banshees of Inisherin" but it wasn't a performance that made me think, like "wow...he should DEFINITELY get a Best Actor nomination for this". Like I said, I've seen him do even more riveting acting jobs in other films. Jmho 🤷🏾‍♀️

For example, Viola Davis's performance in "Fences" was noteworthy to me. It really wowed me. I can't even imagine anyone else in her role. It stuck with me long after the movie was over.

No I totally agree that smaller performances, or subtle performances don't really get a lot of appreciation sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE subtle performances. I felt like (yet again, I'll use Viola as an example) did very good subtle performances in "Fences", "Doubt", and even "The Help", where you can just tell something is bubbling underneath, but she's TRYING to keep it together and hold it all inside until one day she just EXPLODES with emotion! So, I have absolutely nothing wrong with subtlety in acting!

First of all, Idk why people keep downplaying Marvel actors and their acting ability like they can't act. 🥴 They CAN act! Just because they're in Marvel films doesn't mean they can't act. They're believable in their roles right? People always look at it as fluff, but it's still acting.

Anyway lol.... I won't go far as to say that neither of them could do subtlety in a role like this because I don't really know that for sure. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Sometimes you don't really know what an actor can do until he's given a certain role. Did ANY of us think that Zendaya could play a strung out drug addict while she was on KC Undercover?? I know I sure didn't lol! 😅

So I'll never say never when it comes to actors, because sometimes they will surprise you. Plus, I've seen Chris E in other films aside from Marvel, and while he's no Denzel or Tom Hanks, I think he's done enough serious films to prove that if given the right role, he might be able to do a subtle acting job pretty well. I actually thought he was pretty good in "Defending Jacob". Jmho though.

With the Banshees movie, all I meant by saying that anyone could have done Colin's role was that they could have put another good Irish actor in the role, and I wouldn't have missed Colin's performance. There was nothing that Colin did in other words that made me think another actor would have had a very hard time filling his shoes. That's basically all I meant. I didn't mean that he did a bad job in the film (he didn't!), I just meant that I didn't see anything about him that stood out to the point where I was like: "Oh no....nobody else could have done that role but him".

Not at all! To me, someone being "believable' in their role just means, am I believing what you're selling me onscreen. That's literally it. It doesn't just apply to biopic films, or for films where someone is playing the role of a historical figure. "BELIEVABLE" means, is what you're portraying onscreen coming across as GENUINE to me?? When you're crying, does it seem believable? Do I feel your pain? When you're angry onscreen, do I believe your character is really feeling what you're putting out there? That's ALL "believable" onscreen means to me. It has nothing to do with how you look, what you're wearing, who you're playing, etc. It's basically, do I really believe you are your character? Are your feelings and what you're saying coming through onscreen and it's believable to me? Or does it just feel like you're just "acting"? I think Colin was believable in the role. In fact, I said that the first time! LOL 😅 I really believed he was feeling what he was feeling. I think you think that just because I didn't feel like his performance was as good as Brendan's or Austin's that I hated the movie or hated his performance. That's not true at all! I already said that I thought the movie had a strong cast, and that Colin did a great job, but I've seen better from him. That's all. The movie just wasn't that life-changing for me, that's all lol.

My thing with Brendan's movie "The Whale" is that I actually really DID believe his character's desperation and despair. BUT, the WAY the film is shot (you're right) made it seem "off" somehow, and I think that's why to you it probably felt like it was exaggerated. I felt it too. It was almost like watching a train wreck. It definitely made me feel some kind of way, and it almost borderline made me wonder how those who are obese might view the film?

I think Darren could have done things to make the storyline or just the way the film is shot so that it didn't feel sooo "over-the-top"... I don't know what else he could have done, but to me the issue wasn't with Brendan's acting (it was quite believable to me), but the way the movie was shot made it seem like it was almost forcing you to feel a certain way, and I don't like feeling manipulated in films lol.

MOVIE REVIEW

I will criticize “ Passengers” movie.“Passengers" is a actually science fiction-romantic film directed by Marten Tyldum and starring Oscar winner Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence. And It tells basically the story of what happened on the spaceship “ The Avelon “, which set off from Earth to a planet called Homestead 2 with 255 crew and 5000 passengers, after being hit by a meteor.

Norwegian, Marten Tylum has made many successful films. Such as Jack Ryan, Counterpart, Defending Jacob, Last Days of Night and The Imitation Game: Enigma. And with that film, He were awarded “The Capri-Hollywood Film Festival Best Director”.

There are two main characters in the movie. One is a girl Aurora Lane who is a journalist and writer (Jannifer Lawrence) and the other leading character is Jim Preston who is a mechanical engineer ( Chris Pratt). These two people are trying to go to a very distant colony called Homestead 2 on a spaceship which is called “The Avalon “ with five thousand passengers and two hundred fifty five crew which, lasts one hundred and twenty years. Aurora, Jim and other passengers are put to sleep in specially designed "sleep capsules" in order to continue their lives in a healthy way for these 120 years. However, in the 30th year of the journey, although this spaceship is resistant to external damage, while passing through the Asteroid belt, a meteorite collision damages the ship, and as a result, this causes in a malfunction in which Jim Preston’s wakes up 90 years before He is supposed to on time. One day, after a year alone, Jim notices Aurora, who is a beautiful girl. As He is so bored of being alone , decides to wake her up. As time goes by, Jim and Aurora begin to get closer. However, when Aurora learns that she was woken up by Jim, she is greatly disappointed and things begin to change like never before.

In my opinion, if we don't consider it as science fiction, it is a pretty good and a very moving film.It is a captivating film that including drama and romance but as I said, Unfortunatly, I cannot say the same for the science fiction part. There were also minor logical errors, such as there is only one auto doctor for 5000 passengers. This is just an example, there are many more. And finally, my least favorite part is that the movie ended in a very ordinary way. The ending could have been more remarkable in my opinion. As for the features that I liked are: The plot was very good, that is, unlike the popular movies on the current market, the plot was original. The visual effects were so beautiful, it felt like you were in the movie. Also, I found the harmony of the actors very successful, in terms of both in type and character. Since the two are already Oscar-winning actors, you feel this in the movie and the movie reaches even higher levels.

If you don't keep your expectations just like a science fiction movie, you will like it very much. Otherwise, frankly, you may be disappointed. My rating for the movie is 7.5/10. If you want a movie with an original plot, good actors, and neither a complete science fiction nor complete love movie, this movie is for you.

Important that they are not romantically involved yet because Will still hasn’t fully gotten over Mike’s outburst. Jonathan is still wary of Mike despite Will forgiving him

Romantic tension is rebuilt over the following episodes

During the climax of main plot there is a Byler kiss (maybe Mike does it to save Will or vice versa)

Also side non-byler details: all the other gay characters get to actually call themselves gay or lesbian, and Robin gets a girlfriend. Mike gets more character development other than “boyfriend guy” and Eleven decides that she doesn’t need a man, or anybody.

As much as everybody's justifiably railing on Chris Pratt for his acting, after watching the new trailer I honestly don't think Anya Taylor-Joy is a very good fit for Peach either. The problem isn't that they're bad actors, it's that they are not voice actors. When I hear Anya's or Chris's voice I don't picture Peach and Mario, I picture two regular adult people who wouldn't stand out in a coffee shop. Which isn't the point of animated movies and voice acting! ESPECIALLY with Mario! This is supposed to be a movie about cartoonish characters in a video game fantasy world saving the day, and their voices should fit with that theme. That's why Charles Martinet's Mario voice works so well, because it makes sense for what Mario is supposed to be. This trend of giving voice acting specific jobs to non-voice actors who have no experience with this kind of work is detrimental to animation and film! It is removing job opportunities from people who have spent their lives learning this craft and handing it over to a celebrity with no experience just because they're famous. The beauty of voice acting and animation in general is how you are completely creating a character. The whole point of voice acting is that you don't point to a character in a film and say, "hey, that's Chris Pratt" the point is that people will point to the charcater and go "oh, new character!" This movie is more and more frustrating to me the more I realize how much it feels like a money grab exclusively because of the casting. The animation, the music, and the effects are all completely perfect for a Mario movie, but so many of the acting choices feel like someone just rifled through a list of "100 most popular celebrities" and chose whoever was vaguely similar to "average white man voice" or "average white woman voice". No matter how popular these people are or how good they are at acting in front of a camera or on stage, they can not voice act.

Which Chris? - Chris Evans x Reader

“So (Y/N) you’ve now worked with all the Chris’” the interviewers says making you laugh.

“Yes and oh my god it’s been hell” you laugh, Scarlett laughing alongside you.

“They’re difficult aren’t they?” Scarlett chuckles.

“So I thought we’d play which marvel Chris” the interviewer suggests.

“Oh let’s cause some tension” you laugh knowing how competitive they all got.

“Okay which Chris is most likely to get more drunk” the interviewer asks.

“Oh I don’t know, i mean Hemsworth does drink more” you say thinking out loud.

“But he’s Australian so he can hold his liquor” Scarlett points out.

“Yeah its more like who’s the lightweight?” You laugh.

“Evans” you both say at the same time making the both of you burst out laughing.

“I mean he’s not a lightweight but” Scarlett laughs.

“But compared to the others he is” you reason.

“Okay which Chris is the funniest on set?” The interviewer asks chuckling.

“Oh god that’s another tough one” you say looking over at Scarlett.

“I mean they’re all funny in their own way” Scarlett says shrugging her shoulders.

“What do each of them do?” The interviewer asks.

“Well um Pratt is kinda lot of his jokes are similar to his character on parks and rec, hems-worth just cracks bad jokes and puns all the time” Scarlett explains.

“Yeah and Evans he doesn’t really crack jokes but he’s just really goofy, like its just his personality” you continue.

“Okay final question which Chris is the hottest” the interviewer asks.

“Evans” you answer, far far too quickly, you didn’t even need to think.

Scarlett looks over at you smirking “i said that way to quickly didn’t I?” You say holding back a laugh.

“Just slightly” Scarlett chuckles.

“Hey what can I say it’s the goofy personality” you laugh.

You and Scarlett did a couple more interviews before you were free to hang out with the rest of the cast. As you walked in you could see Evans looking over at you with a shit-eating grin. You wondered for a moment whether he’d seen the interview where you said he was the hottest Chris but he couldn’t have since he would have been in his own interview.

“What you smirking at?” You ask poking him in the side making him giggle.

“Nothing, just in a good mood, can’t I be in a good mood?” He laughs, you narrow your eyes at him suspiciously.

“I don’t trust you” you say shaking your head.

Chris laughs grabbing his chest in faux pain “you wound me” he smirks making you roll your eyes at him.

“Hey we’re gonna go get some drinks, you guys wanna join?” Hemsworth asks walking over.

“Yeah sounds great” you agree, Chris also voicing his agreement.

The entire cast made their way to the hotel bar, everyone looking forward to let loose after a long day of press junkets.

You were sat at a table near the bar chatting with Lizzie and Scarlett each of you a glass of wine in hand. All exchanging stories from the interviews you’d just completed. Discussing which interviewer was the best and which was the most annoying.

“Evans what do you want?” Hemsworth calls out from the bar grabbing your attention.

“What? How are you already on your next drink?” Chris laughs holding up his half full beer bottle.

Hemsworth just chuckles shrugging his shoulders.

“God Hemsworth you make me look like a lightweight!” Chris exclaims shaking his head.

You look over at Chris in surprise, did he just reference what you’d said in the interview. If he heard that had he heard everything else?

He meets your gaze smiling over at you before turning his attention back to Hemsworth telling him that he was good.

“You alright there (Y/N)?” Lizzie asks chuckling at you.

“Yeah I’m fine” you say clearly your throat and taking a few large gulps of wine.

You catch Lizzie and Scarlett exchange a look smirking over at each other.

“What?” You ask.

“Nothing” Scarlett says with a winning smile.

You raise a brow at her trying to work out what she was hiding.

As the evening went on cast members slowly left going back to their rooms for the night. As more people left those that remained gathered together all into one booth.

Chris sighs as he sits down beside you in the booth. His arm stretched out behind on on the back of the booth.

“You alright?” He smiles.

“I’m good, you?” You chuckle.

“Good, glad Hemsworth is gone now don’t have to try and keep up with him” Chris says taking a swig of his beer.

“Don’t want anyone to think I’m a lightweight” he smirks side eyeing you.

You bite your lip shaking you head as you looked down at your lap before gathering yourself and putting on a smile.

“Now who would think that?” You laugh.

Chris shrugs his shoulders “overhead it, but I’m not too bothered especially since they thought I was the hottest Chris” he smirks.

You groan out load dropping your head back in embarrassment.

“God how did you hear it” you ask still cringing.

“Went to the bathroom and heard you guys doing the which Chris thing, so of course I had to eavesdrop” Chris smiles.

“Oh god, I’m sorry” you groan shaking your head as you apologise.

“Nah it’s cool, if it helps I think you’re the hottest too” Chris says smiling over at you.

You look over at him in shock. No way did he think you were hot. Impossible. He must be drunk.

“How much have you drank” you laugh.

“Only a couple, and I think you’re more than hot. You’re amazing, clever, hilarious I could go on and on really” Chris smile his arm moving off the back of the booth and around your shoulders.

You look over at him completely shocked. There was no doubt that you had of thing for Chris, he was easily your favourite person on set.

“I’m uh- sorry- just- having a hard time wrapping my head around this” you stutter clearly your throat.

Chris chuckles looking over at you with a warm smile. His hand starts slowly rubbing your shoulders and you feel your heart flutter.

“Well let me help” he smiles before leaning in and gently kissing you.

You squeak in surprise before melting into the kiss, not really believing the Chris Evans, the Chris Evans, America’s ass was kissing you.

“Did that help?” He smirks.

All you can do is nod your head your brain not functioning properly. You only thought being that Chris freaking Evans likes you and just kissed you.

“Good, now how about we go get dinner sometime and you can tell me what other things I’m better at than the other Chris’” he smirks

hey maddy, question for you. i’m curious of your thoughts on why taylor is pushing this jake agenda so much? besides the fact that she’s insane… she could have pushed all too well in similar ways for red tv without so many directly jake comparisons, because that inherently ruins his reputation & fucks him/his career over, which seems unnecessary from her end. i don’t care about his reputation obviously, but i’m just grappling with why she would create all of these specific jake comparisons to feed the narrative when he was a beard.

the short answer is because she needs her taylor's versions to be an unprecedented success and she will use whatever marketing strategy gets her the most engagement and subsequently the most sales/streams.

if you've been following the news surrounding scooter/shamrock you can see the effects the success is already having, and she's only two albums in. this is less about getting back at supposed exes and more about making a strategic point in the music industry. i'm not discounting any of her felt experiences that inspired the album, nor her emotional response to her life's work being sold out from underneath her (both are absolutely valid), but the fact is she's used these men to sell her art since day 1 and it's always worked, so reusing that strategy to make this point (and also have some fun revisiting everything!) is a genius girlboss move.

what i do genuinely find soooooo insane is the way she has managed to get her fans to affiliate certain songs/lyrics/items/whatever with these guys despite not once having said their name out loud. all she has to do is write a lyric about something she wore/did in a picture she knows the fans have seen to make them think that's what inspired the lyric, to make it real. and there's no way to verify if that's actually what inspired it or whether it's a very strategically placed red herring. because it gets people talking, it gets people theorizing, and she gets to relish the fact that we'll never know which "clues" are real and which ones aren't, she gets to spin all these stories like a protective web around herself so everyone has a version of The Truth but only she knows the real truth. it's literally what makes her theee most fascinating pop star to me.

i also think people may be overestimating the damage that this does to his reputation or whatever, like ultimately 1) there's no like, actual proof it's about him, 2) he's so far removed from it now that he probably doesn't care and all he has to do is like, not go on twitter. and 3) as if film studios give a fuck about what taylor swift may or may not have written about a white male actor. his career is literally not in any danger, it'll be twitter jokes for a month and then everyone will move on to the next chris pratt faux pas, rinse repeat.

ᴀᴜᴛʜᴏʀ ꜱᴘᴇᴀᴋꜱ ➢ wanted to start this idea but never got to write it, hope it gets love since it was fun to write and i just enjoyed it in general

every time you and the cast would wrap up a movie was great because it meant you guys would have interviews and press tours to attend. for you, the games and trivia games were the ones you all really enjoyed because it just would be chaotic.

still it would a great time, you got along with everyone so no drama would surround you guys which was a good thing when you work with other actors. when you first started working with marvel, you hit it off with mackie at first, during captain america: the winter soldier.

your publicist makes sure you had time to move things around so that you could make it the live event with the rest of the cast.

you and sebastian were together but didn’t live with each other since you two were still waiting for the right time to move in together. anthony would tease you guys, saying you’re both married but not being committed. all jokes aside, you two did love each other but time would take it’s course and you would be happy soon enough.

when you arrived surrounding to the Los Angeles press junket, you met a few co-stars back stage. obviously you saw all the girls—with you adored. when you saw your boyfriend, you ran sneakily behind him before scaring him slightly. he jumped back from his seat where he was talking to anthony and letitia about something.

anthony looked up seeing your face, “you finally showed up. he was getting worried.” he chuckled before getting up to hug you while you hugged back letting go to see letitia and greet her as well. you turned to sebastian seeing that he was wearing something remotely similar to your outfit.

he wore a black and white stripped jacket which you wore one like that but it was a tad different with a matching skirt. he eyes you up and down seeing what you were wearing this time, letitia gawked at the couple matching even if it was accidentally. “you guys look so cute.” she squealed rapidly pointing at both of them as they both chuckled.

anthony hummed, “huh. what’s up with matchy matchy?” he questioned them as sebastian shrugged honestly not getting how they would of done that. the man obviously thought she looked gorgeous in that skirt and jacket so it didn’t bother him at all. “i think you look beautiful.” he admired you as you blushed and buried your head in his crock of his neck while thanking him.

anthony rolled his eyes until the russo brothers came telling everyone that it was time to start the family feud game and start the live broadcast. you walked towards everyone, where the russo brothers went to place you all in teams: blue vs purple.

anthony and joe did anything to keep mackie and seb from the opposite teams to not create that much chaos or to create it which didn’t matter. you went on the blue team with chris, scarlett, letitia, anthony and bautista. then the red team consisting with benedict, zoe, mark, chris hemsworth, pom and sebastian.

you greeted your team waiting for them to start as you made small talk with anthony and dave as you were in the middle of both of them. once the russo’s started—it was all chaotic from that point. “why don’t the blue team introduce themselves.” joe spoke looking at the blue team.

everyone from the team would get and when it got you mackie, he just was being a fool but so hilarious whenever he spoke. “i’m anthony mackie, i’m a libra.” bringing up his sign for anyone. “I’m y/n y/l/n.” you would smile when it would get to you.

the other team would do the same, then making the russo’s to explain how the game would work and all the rules. once you all got the hang of it, chris and zoe ended up being the first ones to make it and compete against each other. “which infinity war character would put on the best concert?”

zoe getting it first because pratt was slow, said his character which she got right being the first one on the answer board. benedict would repeat zoe’s answer not understanding the concept of family feud as the whole blue team would tease him on that. “good answer!” anthony laughed making you look up and chuckle as he defended himself.

“i’m english! whoa, stop.” joe explained it the english man and he looked relieved after he got the idea, getting the right answer again. when it got to sebastian he said dr. strange and got it correct then getting close to three strikes when it was at zoe.

the russo’s giving out clues and hints didn’t make the blue team wasn’t pleased because it was too easy for them. “what! you cheatin, you think steve harvey would give a hint?” chris would yell out to joe then you would agree with him. them all laughing at chris getting annoyed but not in a serious manner.

you would see that they would go and talk and you stopped them as they weren’t exactly playing the right way. “wait? you guys can’t confirm.” you spoke up pointing at zoe trying to talk to pom and the rest of her team. joe would confirm that, that would be true.

zoe trying to get another clue but the blue team interfering with her telling her no more clues. “okay, you know what. basta. i’m going to say rocket.” when her and benedict got them wrong it would be time for the blue team to steal.

chris would pull you guys together to confirm he answer but mackie kept repeating where their clue was—you would remind him that you thought that was the clue. “what? no, that’s their clue! who producing this?” you would look over to see them talking about who to pick. “well if it’s a guardian... then who did we already say? we said drax, already said star lord, we said rocket. so groot?” you implied.

letitia nodded when chris still wasn’t sure if that was the answer looking at the camera trying to get an answer from the fans. “feed me the answer. mackie says it groot but i don’t trust mackie—yes, you do!” mackie would say.

“i say trust him—thank you!” you would say making anthony hugging you when sebastian would glare at him making him laugh out loud looking back at him. letting go and telling joe that, they picked groot for the answer. “do they say groot for the win?” joe asked making the board ding causing the blue team to cheer for the win that they just got.

the next question being who would they take to prom... as letitia would take your answer, you’d have to figure on out when make chose his answer. “as much as i don’t like him. and his great hair.. uh bucky.” anthony paused. obviously getting the right answer and it being number one. anthony would look at sebastian but he would shake his head getting flustered.

it was your turn and you couldn’t say anything because you honestly had no idea, “alright y/n, you are up.” you hummed trying to see if you could think of someone on the spot. “look around.” they would try to help you to get a answer, anthony looking at you grinning.

“come on. imma look away cause you’re thinkin about me.” he would say looking the other way dramatically making you laugh then patting his shoulder clicking your tongue. “okay, i’m going to say uh... the falcon, sam wilson?” anthony grinning at you tilting his head while showing his bicep.

sebastians head rapidly going up when she chose anthony, “boo!” he booed putting a thumbs down and blowing raspberries at her direction. everyone laughing at his jealousy as you frowned feeling bad, “i’m sorry!” you quietly said as joe kept moving on. “alright facebook did you say sam wilson?” he asked the board and it dinged making anthony cheer at his name on the list.

almost finishing the questions, it was between mackie and hemsworth picking who would win in a staring contest. going around the purple team, they all started to get all the answer right and it went to seb. he looked around stoping at you and just staring, “i’m going with y/c/n.” you shook your head then waiting to see the answer. “did you say y/c/n, the sorceress?” he got that right making them all cheer.

they all go in a line getting all the answers right when seb was up again, “don’t screw it up bucky like you always do.” anthony yelled out making him stare up at him intensely, “what did you say to me—you heard what i said.” they kept going back and forth with each other.

you kept trying to contain yourself from laughing as they were so childish between themselves. “i’m gonna go with the falcon.” sebastian said staring at him continuously. when it came on the screen, you put your head down in disbelief.

the next round was you and sebastian and when you didn’t go up because you didn’t know it was your turn, joe told you to go up. you looked at him and walked to him. you put your hands in your pockets, seeing seb waiting for you. “oh oh. this is about to become intense, girlfriend vs boyfriend.” joe teased when you smiled and put you hand over seb’s.

you pulled away getting ready to answer your question and you probably knew it would work out because you hated being pressured. anthony russo looked at both of you and mentioned how you guys were matching, “you guys are matching, just noticed that—isn’t it cute!” letitia yelled but getting shushed by you.

“okay, which infinity war character takes the longest to get ready in the morning?” when he announced it you did your best to press the button by sebastian had quicker reflexes then you. you groaned watching him chuckle, “i swear my button is broken.” you complained but it was all jokes because you just lost.

“i think it works—mmh, no it’s broken. hurry say your answer.” you rolled your eyes wanting to hurry and leave, “downey. tony stark.” when the answer popped up you rolled your eyes, swatting your hand away. seb went over to hug you as you sighed but hugged him back anyway.

the ending was horrible because the opposite team won making you annoyed... you ended up having a good time with your friends. you walked passed all of them to use the bathroom and you went to open the door, you were tackled by some hands making you squeal.

you turned around to see sebastian and you sighed then when you composed yourself, you hit his shoulder. “don’t do that. i was about to hurt you.” he chuckled lowering his hands to your waist and pulling you close. “i missed you.” he mumbled kissing the side of your cheek. “we have to hurry for the press, then you can miss me even more.”

Sequel to "It Takes A village"

It was already october, time flew by, the boy's birthday party was being planned. It wasn't gonna be a big one, you were paying for the whole thing. And Chris was letting you use his house for it. He was also getting the boys, and I quote "The most amazing gift ever" he hasn't told you what is was yet. Though he assured it wasn't a living creature or dangerous.

Today Chris brought the twins out with him after their T-ball game. He was prepared to hide their faces if he sees paparazzi. Though the paparazzi have gotten photos of him with the boys. But on Halloween when both boys were in masks. Felix was Spiderman because he's obsessed, and Felix didn't want to match that year so he decided to be Emmett from the lego movie. Their faces were covered, identities protected.

Tom didn't publicly say anything but he thought it was adorable. But Pratt did tease on Instagram saying something along the lines of "ha now you know how it feels." Just joking around since the paparazzi did get a photo of his son dressed as Steve Rogers' Captain America. Chris (evans) just laughed it off as fans cooed over him taking his grandsons to a Halloween event at the library.

"Okay! Your mom sent us out to get your Halloween costumes. You both should be buzz for Halloween." Chris teased.

"No! But me and Flynn are gonna match!"

"The betrayal." Chris said dramatically. "Well lets find these costumes." Your dad liked offering to pay for literally anything to do with these boys. The only time you accept is for Halloween. Cause costumes ain't cheap, and sure you could make them but Chris offered so.

The three of them walked to the kid's section of, Spirit Halloween. Flynn saw a blow up dinosaur costume very quickly.

"I want it! Please Poppy?" Flynn pulled out the puppy dog eyes. Chris looked away knowing if he kept looking he'd give into his grandson.

"I'll ask your mom." Chris said texting you. That seems like the costume he should get your approval on. "But it's pretty cool. You'd probably win your schools costume contest though." Chris teased ruffling the kid's hair.

"But I don't wanna be a dino." Felix said pouting.

"Well how about, you can be hmm.. Thing one and thing two?" Chris suggested but both boys shook their heads. "Hmm well lets see you could be mike wazowski and Sully?"

"No." Flynn said.

"You could be Alvin and the chipmunks minus one?"

"That's just lame poppy." Felix said.

"Okay then what's your idea?" Chris said kneeling.

"I don't know." Flynn shrugged.

"Spiderman!" Felix smiled.

"No." Flynn shook his head.

"Okay I'll keep shooting ideas then, Zombies? No? Uhm let's see a dog and a cat? Seriously you'd be adorable! Uhm Tigger and Pooh?"v

"No."

"Mario and luigi?" He asked.

"Maybe."

"Okay lets see... Beavis and butthead?"

"Who?"

"Never mind. Let's just look around."

Chris hadn't notice a paparazzi taking photos of him when he was helping the boys buckle in. It also took him until that night to realize that Flynn and Felix's faces were out there for the world. They were able to get a photo of Flynn when he was standing by Chris while Chris helped Felix. Since Flynn's car seat is on the driver's side which happened to be the side facing the road. They get a photo of Felix but the boys are identical twins.

Only For A Moment: October + November [part one]

Note: Life is very hectic at the moment so this was edited quite quickly. I think I caught all the mistakes, but I’m sorry if there’s any accidentally left in.

The photo shoot the next day went amazingly well. After being out of work for almost ten months, it took me a little while to get back into the swing of it, but I hit my stride quickly once I'd settled in. It helped that I was working with people who made my job almost effortless. Sebastian and Anthony had such good chemistry and were so good at what they do that we got through the day with no hiccups and I had more than enough photos to give Marvel what they'd asked for ten times over.

When I got back to the hotel room, I was in a great mood and it was made even better by the surprise for Chris that I had with me.

"Chris?" I called out as I walked into our large suite. "I'm back!"

He lifted an arm to wave from where he was sitting on the couch, his attention still fixed on the football game that was on the TV.

"How was the shoot?" He asked. "How are Mackie and Seb?"

I smiled, knowing he was about to be very excited as I answered him.

"Why don't you ask them yourself?"

That question got his attention and his head shot around to see what I was talking about. As his eyes landed on the two men standing behind me, a grin burst onto his face.

"No way!" He laughed as he leapt up to join us. "Hey, guys!"

All of us - Chris included - had been tested several times over the last few days to make sure that we were all virus free. There was obviously a small chance that one of us could have picked it up some time after one of the many negative results, but I was fairly confident that was pretty unlikely as we'd all been as careful as possible so I'd invited them over for a few drinks. Our hotel room was big enough for us to all keep our distance anyway and I knew that Chris would appreciate the chance to catch up with his friends.

They both greeted Chris before Anthony looked around the room.

"This place is nice!" He observed. "Marvel must love you, you could fit my room in here at least three times!"

"It's not Marvel who loves me," I smirked. "It's Chris - he upgraded our room."

There was a goofy grin on Chris' face as our two guests 'aww'd' in tandem.

"That was too cheesy," Anthony teased. "But man, don't you love me too? Where's my upgrade?"

"I'll get you next time," Chris laughed. "But to be honest, I thought you'd be staying with Sebastian now that you two are a power couple."

Sebastian snorted out a laugh, but Anthony nodded his head.

"I know, man! That's what I said, but Sebastian still won't tell me where he lives!"

"Because you're so obsessed with my couch that I'm worried you'll steal it!"

"Shouldn't buy yourself a five thousand dollar couch if you don't want people to talk about it," Anthony joked, making Sebastian roll his eyes.

"It didn't cost anywhere near that much money. You've never even seen it, I don't know where you got all these ideas from."

"When are you two getting married?" I interrupted with a smirk on my face as they both turned to look at me, their confusion clear. "Sorry, you've just been bickering like an old married couple all day. I was wondering when you were going to make it official."

"That's what we should be asking you two!" Anthony turned it around. "When did this happen anyway?"

"April," Chris answered, sliding his arm around my waist to pull me close. "After a month trapped in a house with me with no other options, she was finally desperate enough to give me a chance."

"That is not what happened," I laughed. "It was more just the fact that being trapped in a house together made us finally have some tough conversations that we'd never had the guts to have before."

"Well, I'm happy for you," Anthony grinned. "And some people owe me some money because I knew you'd get together eventually."

"Wait, you were betting on us?" Chris asked. "With who?"

"Not me," Sebastian was quick to interject, but Anthony just shrugged.

"There was a bunch of us in on it," he admitted. "Downey, Pratt, Renner, Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, Lizzie Olsen, and I think even the Russos. Someone was keeping track of it, I'll have to make some phone calls."

"I don't even want to hear about this," I laughed, shaking my head. I wasn't at all surprised, they were a tight crew and there was plenty of downtime on set for them to get up to all kinds of antics, but I had no desire to hear who was betting on our situation. "So, shall we have some drinks? What does everyone want? I figured we could just order from room service."

After a brief discussion on the matter, we ordered several beers for the men and a bottle of wine for me. It arrived with impressive speed - no doubt a perk of being with a group of celebrities in a penthouse suite - and we all settled around the living room, trying our best to keep some distance between us.

We chatted and caught up, discussing what we'd done to keep ourselves busy through lockdown and when things might start to be more normal - the usual pandemic conversations. The boys were just delving into some sports discussions that were totally lost on me when I received a message from Lisa saying that Grayson was having a bit of a moment and asked if I was able to call. It broke my heart to think of him missing us so I excused myself and did as she asked.

He was crying when she passed him the phone and I felt awful, immediately filled with guilt that we’d selfishly decided to stay in New York for the whole weekend. We would have arrived home quite late if we left right after the shoot, but as I couldn't remember the last time that he’d stayed overnight with someone other than Chris or I, it suddenly seemed cruel to have left him for so long.

He was in bed already, but unable to fall asleep so I chatted with him for a bit before singing him the lullaby that I'd been singing to him since he was born. It worked like a charm and once he was out, Lisa took the phone back.

"Is he doing okay?" I asked, fighting back tears of my own. "Has he been like this all day?"

"No, no, of course not!" She assured me. "He's been totally fine, we've had a great time. He just got a bit weepy as I was tucking him in."

"I'm glad he's been having fun," I sniffled. "I hate to think of him being upset."

"He's just fine, sweetheart," she insisted. "This will be good for all of you. It's good for him to get used to being away from you two and it must be nice for you two to have a break."

"It is," I admitted. "It just feels selfish when he's upset like that."

"Well, sometimes even us moms need to be a little selfish," Lisa laughed. "And selfishly on my part, it's been wonderful having him here."

I smiled, knowing she had been quite excited about their little sleepover.

"We really appreciate you taking him."

"It's absolutely my pleasure. Now, I'll let you get back to whatever you were doing and I will see you tomorrow."

"Thanks, Lisa. I'll message you when we're heading out so you know when to expect us."

She assured me that they'd be home whenever we arrived and we said our goodbyes before I headed back out to the living room.

"Everything okay?" Chris asked as soon as I sat down.

"Yeah, for the most part," I sighed. "Grayson just got a bit upset at bedtime, I guess. He was crying and wanted to talk to me, but he's fine now."

Sensing I was feeling a bit emotional about it, Chris reached out and squeezed my hand as Anthony spoke.

"I was hoping you'd bring the little man with you. How's he doing?"

I smiled as a grin burst onto Chris' face. He went into a long, somewhat boastful explanation of just how good Grayson was doing, informing them of his extensive dinosaur knowledge and his impressive skills on his bike. It was heartwarming to hear the pride in his voice as he spoke and it was even nicer to see Sebastian and Anthony's genuine interest in hearing about him.

"They grow so damn fast, don't they?" Anthony commented. "One day they can hardly move and then suddenly they're practically BMX champions."

"Oh, no," I shook my head. "It took a good five months for me to allow him to take his training wheels off. He won't be BMX-ing any time soon."

"Well, I hear things are always scarier with the first one," Sebastian pointed out. "Maybe your next one can be the extreme sports star."

"Yeah, that's a good point," Anthony agreed. "When are you having another?"

I tossed back my last sip of wine before letting out a laugh at that question and side-eyeing Chris as I poured myself another glass.

"Did Chris pay you to ask me that?"

"No!" Anthony laughed. "But it's been, what? Four years? Seems like it's about time for another."

Chris snickered as he took a swig from the bottle of beer he was drinking, clearly feeling validated by Anthony's comments, but I just shook my head.

"We've been together for less than a year," I reminded them. "That's hardly long enough to start thinking about another baby."

"Sure, it is," Anthony shrugged. "Maybe not if the relationship is brand new, but you already have one kid, what's the harm in throwing another in the mix?"

"And we already know that we can work together as parents through complicated situations."

I shot Chris a look after his interjection because I really didn't think his friends needed to be involved in a discussion like this, but Sebastian chimed in as the voice of reason.

"It's more complicated than that though, isn't it?" He asked. "Babies are stressful and can ruin a relationship if you're not ready for it."

"Exactly! Thank you, Seb."

"What does he know?" Anthony teased. "He's never had a baby."

I rolled my eyes as I sipped my drink, trying to ignore Chris' smug face.

"If you're such a big fan of the idea, Anthony, why don't you have more kids?"

"More? I already have four!" He laughed. "That's more than enough. Hell, after being in lockdown with them, you could have one of mine if you're not ready to have another of your own."

"I think we're good with one right now," I insisted with a smile. "At least until we see where this whole pandemic thing ends."

"Alright, alright, that's fair," Anthony relented. "But just remember when the time comes, Anthony is a solid name. Or even Antonia for a girl."

"Actually," I smirked. "I do quite like the name Sebastian."

Sebastian barked out a laugh over Anthony's protests as Chris came up with a compromise.

"Sebastian Anthony Evans?" He suggested.

"Can you imagine?" I giggled. "Your fans would lose their minds. You'd have to raise him together, you could make a reality show out of it."

"That's a money making opportunity right there," Anthony grinned. "You just let me know when you need me to show up."

"As entertaining as that sounds, it won't be any time soon," I insisted before changing the subject. "What about you, Sebastian? How's your love life going? Any babies on the horizon?"

His cheeks instantly tinged pink at the attention being flipped onto him as he answered the question and Anthony’s teasing shifted to him.

About an hour later, after our guests left, I found myself stretched out on the couch with my head in Chris' lap as he ran his fingers through my hair. It felt so good that I was resisting the urge to purr like a happy cat when Chris distracted me with a question.

"How was the shoot?" He asked. "I just realized that I never got an answer."

"It was great," I smiled up at him. "It felt weird at first after being away for so long, but Sebastian and Anthony are such goofs. It helped me relax and get back into it."

I felt his body shake as he chuckled, no doubt knowing his friends well enough to imagine the antics they got up to.

"I'm glad it went well. Maybe now there's more projects starting up, you'll start getting more job offers again and you won't have to go so long without doing it."

"Oh, I've had plenty of job offers," I admitted. "But most of them I'd have to travel for or they just seem too risky."

Chris was clearly surprised by that confession as I hadn't mentioned any of the proposals I'd received to him, but it didn't seem important when I'd never even considered taking any of the jobs.

"Why didn't you tell me about it?" He asked. "We could have worked something out and made it happen."

"Because I didn't want to accept any of the offers," I assured him. "I don't feel super comfortable flying around the country right now and most of them had pretty half-assed safety protocols in place. This was the first one that was close by and had a clear and thorough safety plan. Marvel wanted me for Wandavision too, but I would’ve had to go to L.A. and I didn't feel great about that."

Chris frowned, his fingers pausing momentarily in my hair as he mulled over my answer.

"I get it, that's solid reasoning," he nodded. "But I'm sorry you've had to make decisions like that. I know you love what you do."

"So do you," I shrugged. "So do a lot of people who are currently out of work. I've got it pretty good, I try to focus on that."

"Sure, but that doesn't mean you aren't allowed to miss things too," Chris insisted before letting out a sigh. "Do you ever worry that things won't ever get back to normal?"

As I looked up at him and saw the melancholy look on his face, I felt a wave of vulnerability wash over me.

"Not really," I admitted. "I worry more about what will happen when they do..."

"Oh?" Chris raised an eyebrow. "How come?"

"Well, don't get me wrong, I don't want anyone to get sick anymore and I don't want any more people to die. I want to see my family again and meet my nephew and I want Grayson to be able to go to school and make friends," I prefaced my statement. "But for us, it's been really nice. We've been able to figure each other out and build our relationship without anything else interfering and I just worry that when things go back to normal, it won't work."

The hurt that flashed across Chris' face made my chest tighten. I hadn't meant to upset him, but it was foolish of me to think that my doubts wouldn't be hard to hear.

"You don't think we'll stay together when the lockdowns are all done?"

"No, that's not what I meant!"

"Well, that's what you said..."

"I said it was something I worry about," I clarified. "And I do. It'll be a lot harder when we're both working again."

"It's one thing to think it'll be harder," Chris scowled. "It's another to think we can't make it work. Are you planning on running at the first sign of trouble?"

Feeling the panic bubbling inside me, I pulled my head out of Chris' lap and sat up so I was facing him. I did want to run away in that moment - his harsh tone hurting my feelings and making my defences bubble to the surface - but I reminded myself of how avoiding our problems had worked for us in the past and tried to stay calm and explain myself.

"I'm not going to run away, Chris," I assured him. "And I don't really appreciate the way you're speaking to me right now. You asked a question and I explained my feelings, but instead of wanting to talk through that, you're immediately getting upset. I'm allowed to have concerns and all you're doing right now is making them worse."

Despite my frustrations, I kept my voice calm as I spoke and it seemed to have the desired effect as the tension in Chris' body eased slightly.

"Sorry, you're right," he sighed. "I just thought we've been doing so well, I'm surprised that you still have doubts."

"We're just living in such a bubble right now," I pointed out. "When everything goes back to normal and we're both back at work more, we'll be so busy. Balancing that with making sure Grayson gets enough of our attention, it might not leave much time for us and that would strain any relationship."

"It'll be more of a challenge than it is now," Chris agreed, his words spoken cautiously as if they were carefully chosen. "But most parents struggle with balancing their relationship with time spent with their kids. We'll just have to make the effort."

"But we have more to cope with than most parents."

He looked skeptical of that claim.

"How so?"

"Well, you'll be away a lot once you start filming things again," I reminded him, knowing that his next project had plans to film in L.A. and Europe. "And you'll be surrounded by beautiful, smart, talented women who I pale in comparison to."

"That’s not true, but regardless, I won't even look at them twice." His voice was firm and for a moment I worried that he was annoyed again, but as he took my hand in his and lifted his eyes to meet mine, he just seemed sincere. "I love you, Whitney. I only want to be with you."

"I know, I do, I know that. I love you too and I trust you, but I guess it just still feels like you being in love with me is too good to be true."

"I don't think that you do know," Chris insisted. "I'm completely committed to you. I know it's only been a few months, but it's been some of the best months of my life. What we've been doing - you, me and Grayson just hangin’ out and being a family - it's what I've been dreaming of since he was born, it's what I've always wanted. I can't imagine a future without you in it, I don't even want to think about it. I love you and I love the life we're building together."

I felt my eyes grow glassy as he spoke, my heart melting at his words.

"Wow," I murmured quietly. It was a lame response to such heartfelt words, but I was trying to process everything he’d said and, after a moment of staring into his beautiful eyes, I choked out a laugh. "That almost sounded like a proposal."

Chris chuckled and nodded his head.

"I know. Even I wondered where I was going with that for a minute there," he admitted. "It wasn't, but it's all true. I'm in this for as long as you'll have me."

He lifted my hand up to place a kiss on my knuckles and I suddenly felt ridiculous for having any doubts.

"I feel the same," I assured him. "I really do. I don't want you to think that I'm not as invested in this as you are. I just like how things are now and thinking about it changing scares me."

"It'll be different, but we can make it work."

I smiled and crawled into his laps, letting my knees rest on either side of his thighs.

"I guess I've just been spoiled these last few months," I mused, pressing a soft kiss on his lips. "I don't want to share you with the world, I want you all to myself."

Chris chuckled as our foreheads rested against each other.

"You really are clingy," he teased. "I always thought I'd be the needy one in this relationship."

"Shut up," I giggled, pressing our lips briefly together again. "And for the record, all those sweet, wonderful things you just said aren't getting you any closer to convincing me we should have another baby yet."

Chris' head fell backwards as a laugh burst from his chest.

"Alright, alright, well, it was worth a shot," he smirked. "But seriously, that's how confident I am in us. It wouldn’t even scare me if we did because I know we can handle it."

I smiled even though I probably didn't share quite that much confidence in our future. I wouldn't bet against us, but I wasn't ready to bring a baby into a situation that might not be such smooth sailing in a few months.

"We have to think about Grayson too though," I pointed out. "He's had a lot to deal with the last few months, a lot of big changes. Throwing a sibling at him on top of everything else might be a little bit cruel."

"That's true," Chris relented, looking a bit defeated for a moment until a smile slid onto his face. "He'll be such a good big brother though. He'll be so excited to teach him everything he knows."

"Him?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow. "We're going to have another boy, are we?"

"Him or her," Chris shrugged. "I'd be happy either way."

I couldn't help, but smile at his enthusiasm. It was a nice thought even if it was clearly a more distant fantasy for me than it was for Chris.

"One day," I assured him. "I love you, Chris."

"I love you too."

With a strength that never ceased to amaze me, he then stood from the couch, lifting me up with him. I wrapped my legs around his waist, giggling at the impressive feat as he carried me to our bedroom where we spent the rest of the night showing some physical appreciation and love for each other.
