[21] When they’re sick, would they want others to visit them, or they would rather prefer not to be seen at not their best?

Noa prefers to be left alone whenever she's sick. She's usually seen at her best; strong, confident, perfect. And here she is, weak and pathetic! (at least in her eyes). Her hair is messy, she didn't bother to get dressed out of her pajamas because she was way too tired, and she's leaking snot everywhere. Why the hell would she want people to see her like that?

However, if someone does decide to visit Noa, despite her strictly telling them not to (looking at you, Hugo-), not only is she going to be angry, she's going to feel incredibly embarrassed. She might even try to hide herself from them the best she can (like hiding under a blanket while saying "Don't look at me, I'm disgusting!" She looks fine, of course. She's just being dramatic because she feels gross lol).

But if they refuse to leave, she'll (begrudgingly) let them keep her company (especially if she secretly enjoys it, hint hint). Not so much let them take care of her, though. She can do that herself.

[37] How would they spend a lazy day when they have nothing specific to do?

If she has a day when she has nothing specific to do (and she rarely does. She's a pretty busy woman), she usually spends it painting!

While she is a rather logical and analytical person, she does enjoy the finer things in life, art being among them. Though, her art focuses a lot more on technique and realism, rather than self expression. (Think Roman art. A study of anatomy and the human form).

It's also one of the only times where she's seen 'dressed down' (but not really? She still makes an effort to look sleek and stylish, just in a much more casual sense). A black turtleneck sweater, covered in paint splotches here and there, plaid pants, and black flats. No one can see her since she's doing this in her own penthouse, but she feels better knowing she looks presentable.

If she's not in the mood for painting, another option for a lazy day is to spend it reading. Specifically mystery and suspense novels. She really enjoys trying to figure out the big twists and endings, even jotting down notes in a journal while she reads. Most of the time she's able to figure it out way before the author can reveal it. But sometimes her normal thinking process can lead her to be wrong about a book's ending, simply because she ends up thinking way too much about certain details (when the author clearly wasn't thinking enough about it. And they're the one who wrote the damn thing!)

And when that happens, she gets so disappointed and annoyed that she starts insulting the writer and/or the characters. You might hear her say something like "T'es bête comme tes pieds !" (you're as dumb as a rock!), or "Quelle nouille !" (what an idiot!). She's still going to keep reading it the whole way through, but all she's going to be thinking about is how she could have written it better.

[55] How long does it take for them to make a new place feel like home, and what do they need for it?

Quite a long time. She likes things in a specific way, and does not handle things changing all that well. Although she can adapt well to fast-paced situations, it's different when it comes to her living space or a place where she's suppose to feel comfortable.

For example, if Noa were to spend the night in Hugo's apartment, she would be very awkward and tense about it (even if he tells her "make yourself at home". She's not used to sleeping there, so it's going to be hard for her to relax). I'm talking making sure she doesn't dirty any of the carpets or the furniture, making sure things are put back in the exact same places they were in if she ever needs to move something (almost to make it look as if she was never there in the first place), sitting upright with perfect posture, etc.

The same applies if she ever needs to move to a new place. Just overall being tense about it and acting as if she doesn't live there.

To make herself feel at home, however, she needs her own space, or things that feel like her.

Like a cozy spot where she can read that's not her bed. Even if it's just a corner of the living room. As long as it has comfortable blankets and a reading light, she's happy. Her own mugs/teacups (even for Hugo's place. She might use his once or twice, but not all the time).

A whole cabinet in her kitchen reserved (and filled) with all kinds of tea, especially her favorite ones.

Some splashes of color throughout the space, particularly purple. Maybe some flowers or artwork decorating the walls. She's a very stylish person, and where she lives reflects that. It can't be too dull or boring.

Things like that.

She'll get used to it after a while. It just takes some time for her to adjust.

I love Chiyo- and I kind of headcanon her as a Witch of the Woods (Sands???) archetype- a bitter old woman who has sacrificed too much, experienced and committed more atrocities than anyone can imagine, and who knows the truth about what lies in the hearts of men to live among the villages anymore.

In my AU she's got a pretty dark backstory. Back in time when Villages were just getting established, women weren't allowed to be shinobi in the same capacity as men. There was too much warring and death among the clans to risk women, so they were only ever allowed to serve as spies or medics. (Chiyo started off as a medic).

And like any military/fascist dictatorship, serving the state was more important than anything else- so women who were kunoichi were given missions to steal and return with powerful bloodlines. Even before villages, this was a common fear among clans (which is why so many of them have protective measures and inbreed/arrange matches very carefully).

Chiyo was one such woman, who took a X-rated mission in her youth because she was told it would 'serve her nation'. There was a powerful bloodline whose Kekkei Genkai could harden sand to something akin to Steel- something Suna very desperately wanted.

Chiyo succeeded in her mission, but despite the veneer of 'serving your nation', when she returned, she was considered, in her words, "Just another whore."

Then when her son didn't manifest the bloodline- it was worse, but Chiyo was happy because that meant her son was HERS. (This is when she met Enji, and he saved her son's life at great cost- so Chiyo owes him a blood/life debt.)

Then the war came, and they needed women to fight so now serving the nation meant something different, and Chiyo became a full fledged 'shinobi' and turned her healing towards poison and death- especially when she had to fight the Salamander.

Then she sealed Gaara and that was the atrocity straw that broke the camel's back and she dipped out Suna and retired to an oasis. She's still a healer, but adamantly refuses to serve shinobi.

hi guys! unfortunately for now, if it wasn’t obvious i have decided to leave garoujo . . i’ve just not been feeling very great here anymore & as much as i have such an attachment to this blog, it’s become not fun again as it’s beginning to affect my mental state. i’m not going to deactivate for now it will be left here as an option & an archive! i may eventually private eventually but until then it’ll stay.

i’ve made a new possible blog that could be an option after a well needed break from here, but i won’t be publishing the url publicly because i feel like i need a proper fresh start and a clean slate if so. mutuals can still dm me to ask for the new url (ive followed a few already but i’ll still be logged in here to make sure i don’t miss anyone if u ask) but its mostly just a personal one for the time being. also if you happen to come across it on your own eventually, please respect my decision to have it remain completely separate from this one.

i appreciate all the kindness & support that’s been shown to me during my time on this blog despite how much it’s been through. i also want to apologise to anyone who’s ever gotten a negative impression from / of me on here or been roped into any drama surrounding me, i hope we can all just continue to enjoy our time here while we indulge in our silly little hobby!

Got so mad seeing a forced marriage plot for the 20th time that I got up to draw a design specifically to put a veil on him

wrote a whole post and lost it so this will be the abridged version but has anyone ever written an au where shannon has a hot mamma mia summer and hooks up with buck and eddie and then oh noooo she's pregnantttt so she tells them both and they all decide to like be friends and just get a paternity test after the baby is born. but then shannon has like a rough labor and chris is in the NICU so they just forget about it for the immediate future they're like okay that doesn't even matter they just focus on shannon's recovery and getting chris healthy.

and suddenly chris is four months old and technically buck has his own little shithole apartment with four roommates while eddie and shannon are dating and living together but in practicality eddie and shannon barely spend any time together and buck stays over on the couch all the time and he and eddie have become Buck And Eddie and they both love little baby chris so much that they don't really Want to do the paternity test anymore because once that happens their little bro parenting arrangement will fall apart and one of them will have no claim to their beautiful baby boy...

meanwhile shannon has never been more stressed in her fucking life and she wants out. everyone keeps saying that it'll get easier and she sees buck and eddie both settling into parenthood and enjoying it but she just feels like she's in a cell and the walls are closing in. at the moment she's the only one on the birth certificate and she's acutely aware that buck and eddie could both just dip if they wanted to but she can't. so she starts pushing the paternity test issue and they both keep making stupid ass excuses to put it off and her and eddie's relationship is a fucking mess and she wants OUT.

so finally she's fed up with it and she goes and has the test done without telling them. and when she gets the results back she updates chris's birth certificate and she knows that she should tell them but well. now that she's faced with having to tell the guy who's dedicated his entire life to christopher for the past six months that actually he doesn't need to be here. she thinks she understands why they didn't want to get it done. and now that eddie's name is on the paper next to hers she thought that the anxiety and the trapped feeling would let up but it doesn't. if anything it makes her feet itch more. and she tells herself well eddie can do anything he needs legally. and buck will probably stick around and help even though he's not the father. so they don't really NEED her christopher will be fine and buck will have an excuse to stay and she and eddie won't have to keep playing pretend.

so eddie wakes up the next morning to a crying baby, an empty bed, and a fresh legal document with his name on it.

Muggle college AU where Harry sneaks into tom’s dorm room (after making sure to drug tom’s water earlier ofc) and takes pictures of him while he sleeps and posts them online. because god fucking dammit, Tom riddle is the most annoying RA that could possibly exist, and he wants a little bit of light revenge.

Harry realizes that “light revenge” may have gotten out of hand around the same time he started stripping Tom, and suddenly he was balls deep in both Tom riddle and a felony. The gravity of the situation did nothing to prevent Harry from taking a video, even though it was just more evidence that could be used against Harry.

Have you considered (yes, I just realized it was part of the initial ask, but I've been dwelling on this for years, man): Not only does Joyce find out that Jonathan helped Nancy cheat on the boyfriend he DEFINITELY knew about, but she also just found out about the photos through Steve's upstairs bedroom window. Photos that could not ever be claimed as accidental. Now, Joyce has been holding a bit of a grudge against Steve since he broke her boy's camera. Jonathan only told her that Steve Harrington got pissed off and busted it, not why. And then Steve went and fought with Jon and her son got arrested while that rich boy got off scott free. That just reinforced her grudge, especially considering the stress she was already under at the time. But then she finds out it wasn't just Steve being a bitchy popular jock, but that her boy was also being a creepy dick. And she recalls that Steve not only apologized for breaking his camera, but that he replaced it, too.

Jonathan’s been scared of his mom before, for good reasons: when he was seven and broke a vase after she’d told him to stop running in the house, at eleven when he lied about his grades, at fifteen when he snuck out for the first (and only) time.

Every time she gets really mad at him, she gets quiet.

She’s been silent for a solid ten minutes. The only words she’d spoken had been to Murray, to tell him to leave. She’d been quiet then, too, then just stayed silent.

“So here’s what I thought the story was,” she starts, and Jonathan wants to dig a hole to China and bury himself. “I thought Nancy and Steve had broken up, then you and she had gotten together. I thought he broke your camera because he got mad at you for who-knows-what. I thought he fought you, antagonized you, until you couldn’t hold back anymore. I thought I knew you. I thought I knew the son, the man, I raised, would never sleep with a taken woman. Would never hide in the bushes and take pictures of someone else’s property or body. And to think she’d been half-naked…” Joyce shakes her head, leans back in her chair. Considers the knife still clutched in her hand and very carefully places it down next to her plate. “To think that I thought he’d been acting like Lonnie. Worse than Lonnie, even, which maybe wasn’t a fair comparison for a teenager, but I thought I knew my son.” She shakes her head again, stands, picks up her plate and silverware. Doesn’t look at Jonathan when she says, “I was partially right. Someone was acting like Lonnie. It just wasn’t who I’d originally thought. And to think I held onto a grudge against him for years.” She purses her lips, steps back from the table. Whispers the next line. “You need to think very, very carefully about your next move. I don’t know if Steve’s forgiven you. If I were him, I don’t know that I would.” She steps back again. “While you think about it… well. Forgive me if I need some time to think about it too. After all, you also lied to me.” She tilts her head in thought. “If memory serves, he replaced the camera he smashed. I feel that bears remembering when you think about what to do.” With that, she turns and makes her way to the kitchen.

And Jonathan? He feels about as small as a gnat. Even smaller. Nancy’s trembling next to him, hand over her mouth, and he’s not sure he should reach out. He’s not sure she’d want him to; not sure he wants to. He does, though, grazes the back of her hand with a fingertip. She chokes, looking at him with wide, tear-filled eyes, and he helps her up, helps her out the front door and into his car, gets in and starts driving without thinking about it first.

He realizes most of the way there that he was driving to the Wheelers’. Walks inside with Nancy when they get there, all the way up to her room. Silent.

“We need to talk,” Nancy says, and Jonathan nods even as he feels like the rug’s been yanked out from under his feet.

Fighting monsters was easy compared to this.

Before we call anon rude because let’s see it from their perspective, imagine getting an entire feast to eat. That can be pretty hard to start with so much that’s going on, but if they start with one thing they know they’ll like (aka one character they like) that can be the start for them leaping to other characters to finish the story and the bigger story. I struggle the same way to start book series if I don’t have at least one character that drives me to read it, it’s all about what can be the hook to push them through. Sounds like the anon is neurodivergent (just a guess) so they might genuinely not see it as rude and see it as a solution to even play the game to start with.

Btw absolutely adore the game, the complex and rich characters making them all so unique is amazing. The art is so pleasing to the eyes I love it!! I’m waiting for it all to get out at once so I don’t get too impatient. Shae however interests me the most, which routes will have the most lore for them? Will there be routes that give more lore in general based on decisions you make or do they all share the same amount? (I mean general lore not just Shae lore)

Apologies; we are not trying to accuse any asker of being rude! We are simply explaining our perspective as the developers / are trying to broadly encourage folks to dip their toes into other areas of the story outside of the main route(s) they're interested in, especially considering some routes will be made available sooner than others, and these other routes will likely contain additional scenes/lore of everyone's fave(s) regardless! We want to give each main cast member an equal amount of love (and lore) regardless of their overall popularity, so our goal is not to tut-tut anyone for having strong preferences for one character over the others, but rather to explain that you may be surprised by how much *more* you learn about your preferred characters in the other routes. That's all!

For Shae... Well, they were a foot soldier for one of the worst periods of the War. Lore wise, any other story that touches on the War will likely have content relevant to them and their experiences. ^^

unsure how to word this but there is something about having ocs with unsavory events happening in their past where it's like. talking about it, even when asked, seems almost gratuitous and inappropriate. and i'd much rather describe it through the oc themself and/or draw Them saying it. which is like. fitting for the subject matter? like of course its weird to talk about somebody else's business...!

and falls back into humanizing em/exploratory writing and development where u consider the impact of words said/words unsaid/HOW those words are said etc etc
