Thinking about a future point where Camila and Vee + Luz and Hunter are starting to get used enough to each other for everyone to have a Noceda family dinner together that gets thrown off when Camila realizes she has no idea if witches can eat human food. Only for Hunter to be like "Well, I'm half human so it should be fine" and Luz tenses up, Vee doesn't buy that for a second, and Camila files away "humans and witches can reproduce" as something to worry about Later

one of my fave perennial headcanons about hunter is that he actually IS more predisposed toward liking human food because of his ortet -- in the most extreme version of this, he only realized that food tastes Good after he enters the human realm. would be very cute if in this AU he has just been stealing n munching on bits from luz's meals forever (she takes extra specifically so he can "steal" and feel sneaky about it), & upon finding out the 'half-human' thing, he's just like ohhh. that's why.

luz tenses up anyway. hunter has always smelled weird to vee, but she's been kind of like "well, i don't know enough about powerless witches to dispute it. maybe they all smell kinda like freaky death energy"
