I still think the inquisitor should have been the main character for veilguard and that is a hill I will both die and kill on.
To have the balls to say in an interview that the inquisitor feels personally responsible for what Solas has done then introduce a completely new pc for the game... Audacious.
In a dream world, there would be a new game plus where you play as inky doing the same shit as rook but with a slightly different flavor as rook. Get the best of both worlds.
That way those whose inquisitors retired fully with/without their romanced companion can keep that canon for their inky. But then those whose are still very much active in the hunt for Solas can also keep that canon.
