Enjoy this thing I wrote, I like to write things just for myself and reread it when nothing else is entertaining me. Was just reading and went huh, beautiful angst.
Backstory on it since I most likely won’t share more… it’s an abo thing, Steve & Eddie hooked up and this is a month later. It’s in Steve’s POV and he’s being comforted by his mom who’s a good parent.
~~
“Oh Stevie, no.” She whispers and pulls him tight against her, “Sweetheart, baby, you do not need to be sorry. You and Eddie just weren’t careful, and it’s okay. I still love you and will always support you, ok? Whatever you decide”
He doesn’t answer and just cries into her chest. He sobs and listens to his mom whisper in his ear, telling him how much she loves him and everything he always hears when he’s upset.
Expect, he doesn’t actually hear her. Not really. The machine is off, the thing is no longer against him. But he can still hear the beating, the heartbeat.
The baby’s heartbeat.
His baby.
Eddie’s baby.
~~
Even in my own personal fics I gotta put angst in it. Ya know a smart person would write alllll the fluffy shit just to read or write before bed. Oh no, i decided writing angst and fucking depressing things. What is wrong with me hahaha

September ushered in a peculiar kind of unease, a restlessness that only settled within the corridors of high school, unbeknownst to Adam. The weight of impending change hung in the air, a feeling that clung to him as he navigated the familiar chaos that came with being a teenager.
It began with a murmur, a whisper weaving its way through the complicated tapestry of gossip. The news was illicit, news that would shatter the simplicity of his teenage years. Adam's ex, Emma, a figure exiled to his past, was harboring a secret that would bridge their worlds in a way he never anticipated.
The autumn breeze carried an unusual tension as Adam found himself standing before the door of Emma's house, a place he thought he had left behind in the remains of the failed relationship. She had called him about two hours ago, telling him that she had needed to talk to him immediately about something very important. He hesitated for a moment, hand poised to knock, before the door swung open, revealing Emma's worn expression.
"Adam," she greeted, her eyes avoiding direct contact, as if unable to meet the weight of his gaze. They hadn't talked in a couple weeks, since they had broken up.
"What's going on, Emma?" Adam asked, sensing the gravity of the situation even before she spoke.
A heavy sigh escaped her lips, laden with the weight of the secret she carried. "We need to talk," Emma murmured, gesturing for him to enter.
"Yeah, figured." He sighed. He didn't know if he was able to trust her after all the lies she had told him over the span of their relationship. This may be one of her ploys to somehow get him back.
He went into the familiar home as she guided him up to her room anxiously and his mind was racing. What could possibly be so important that she couldn't text him, or tell him over the phone?
They reached her room and he sat on her bed as Emma paced anxiously, the rhythm of her steps echoing the gravity of her secret. Finally, she turned to face him, her eyes brimming with vulnerability that he hadn't seen in a while.
"I'm pregnant," she confessed, the words hanging in the air like a storm about to break.
Pregnant? Her words hung in the air for a few moments as he looked for any sign of deception in her expression. But no, she looked like she was about to break down in front of him. The room seemed to close in on him, and he could feel the weight of the past and the uncertainty of the future colliding.
He couldn't even process it. "What?" Was all he could mutter.
Emma's gaze wavered as Adam's single-word response lingered in the room. The weight of the secret settled between them, an unspoken acknowledgment of the life-altering reality they were now forced to confront.
"I didn't plan for any of this," Emma continued, her voice shaky. "I never wanted it to happen."
Adam's brow furrowed as he tried to process the mix of emotions swirling within him. Anger, confusion, and a distant sense of responsibility danced on the edges of his thoughts. His head was spinning with questions.
"Why now?" he questioned, the frustration evident in his tone. "Why didn't you say something sooner?"
Emma's eyes welled with tears, and she seemed on the verge of unraveling. "I didn't know how. I was scared, Adam. Scared of your reaction, scared of what it would mean for both of us. I mean I have school and-and I can't have a kid right now."
The room felt suffocating, the air heavy with unspoken accusations and the weight of their shared history. Adam's mind raced, torn between the desire to understand and the lingering mistrust that had defined their past.
Adam's jaw tightened as he absorbed her words, a tumult of conflicting emotions churning within him. "Scared?" he repeated, a sharp edge to his voice. "You think dropping this bombshell now will magically make things less complicated?"
He didn't want to sound like an asshole but he couldn't help it. All she was thinking about was her future, her life and nothing to do with what his dreams, the ones he's had since he was younger. How could he go into the NHL with a kid and unstable ex?
Emma's tears flowed freely now. "I never meant for it to be like this. I just... I needed to tell you. I can't do this alone, Adam."
He rubbed his temples, trying to alleviate the growing tension. "You should've thought about that before. Now, what? What do you expect me to do?"
She reached out tentatively, as if seeking reassurance in the midst of the storm. "I want you to be a part of this, Adam. Our child deserves that, at least."
He takes her hand and his gaze softens as he heard her voice. Our child sounded so sweet, but he didn't want to go through what she put him through again.
He sighed heavily, a mixture of frustration and concern etched on his face. "Emma, you can't drop something like this on me and expect everything to be okay. We're not together anymore, and I can't just rearrange my life because of this."
Her eyes pleaded with him, desperation evident. "I know, but I can't do it alone. I need your support, Adam. We created this life together."
He pulled his hand away gently, creating a bit of distance. "Support? Emma, you've never supported my dreams. You made me doubt everything I did. I can't risk my future for this, not when I don't even know if you're going to stick around."
As the room descended into silence, the air seemed to crackle with the tension of unspoken truths. Adam's mind, however, echoed with the memories of a relationship colored by manipulation and emotional turmoil.
He couldn't shake the vivid memories of countless arguments, where Emma would twist his words, making him question his own sanity. Her subtle undermining of his dreams and aspirations left a trail of self-doubt that lingered long after their fights and maybe relationship had ended.
Emma's manipulation often took the form of subtle remarks disguised as concern. Every success he achieved was met with a backhanded compliment or a comment that subtly belittled his accomplishments. Her words had a way of eroding his confidence, making him second-guess his abilities. Was he even that good of a hockey player? Was he as smart as everyone would tell him?
She played on his insecurities, subtly exploiting vulnerabilities he hadn't even acknowledged. Emma's behavior manifested in controlling behaviors, whether it was telling him who he could spend time with or subtly isolating him from his support system. The gradual corrosion of his social connections left Adam feeling increasingly dependent on her for validation.
Emma's manipulation extended beyond words or fights; it was their daily interactions. The constant emotional rollercoaster left him drained and disoriented. Adam had become used to walking on eggshells, terrified of setting off another emotional outburst.
Adam found himself grappling with a mix of anger and resentment. The secret of her pregnancy now added a new layer to their complicated history, one that threatened to entangle their lives again.
The heaviness of the past hung in the air, a palpable reminder of the emotional scars that had yet to fully heal. The silence in Emma's room mirrored the unresolved scars of their relationship, leaving Adam to confront the challenging path that lay ahead.
He thought he had ended this relationship for good but now, he truly couldn't leave. Knowing that if he wouldn't stay, she would raise the baby alone and he would live forever with the knowledge of his kid somewhere with her. If they were to be together again, even just to raise the baby, he would promise that he would try to shield the baby from his mother as much as he could.
Emma's eyes brimmed with tears as she pleaded, "Adam, I'll change. I promise. I never realized how much I hurt you until now. I want to be a better person, for you and for our child."
Adam hesitated, his gaze flickering between her tearful eyes and the haunting memories of their past. The room seemed to close in around him as he grappled with conflicting emotions.
"Okay, Emma." He sighed. She let out a sob of joy, bringing him in for a tight hug.

JUNE 11, 2021
──
Summer arrived quicker than either had expected and soon enough Emma was in third trimester. In the sterile confines of the white hospital room, Adam stood witness to the arrival of their daughter. It was a moment of transformation, where the happiness of newfound fatherhood collided with the stark reality of uncertainty. Emotions played on his face, he had no idea how he was going to deal with any of it.
But as soon as tiny newborn baby laid in his arms, all the worries and uncertainty had faded into background noise as he held her with all the care in the world.
In that moment, everything else seemed to fade away. The worries, the uncertainties, the complexities—they all became distant as Adam cradled his daughter. Her tiny features, scrunched face, and the weight of her presence overwhelmed him, he couldn't help but tear up. She was perfect in every way. In that moment, he promised he would never let anyone hurt her in anyway possible.
He felt a surge of love, a protective instinct that whispered promises of care and unconditional devotion. The uncertainty that had clouded his thoughts seemed inconsequential in the face of the profound connection forged with this tiny being.
"She's perfect," he whispered, his voice barely audible in the quiet room. The fragility of the newborn, the embodiment of a shared history and a future full of unknowns, stirred something deep within him. All he knew was that he loved her more than anything even if he'd only held her for a few moments.
Emma, watching Adam with a mix of exhaustion and affection, couldn't help but smile. "She's got your eyes," she remarked, a tender note in her voice. His pretty, big blue eyes. The first thing anyone ever notices about him.
Adam nodded, his gaze fixed on the tiny features of his daughter. "Yeah? Well, she's got your everything else," he added, a gentle chuckle escaping him. The weight of fatherhood settled on his shoulders, but in that moment, it felt like a privilege.
The room seemed to shrink, focusing solely on this new family unit. The soft whimpers of the newborn, the beeping of the monitoring equipment, and the distant sounds of the hospital—all merged into the backdrop of a moment that felt suspended in time.
Emma looked at Adam with tired yet contented eyes, a silent understanding passing between them. The room, once filled with the tension of labor, was now a cocoon of familial warmth.
Emma whispered, her voice hoarse from the exertion of childbirth, "She's beautiful, isn't she?"
As Adam and Emma marveled at the beauty of their newborn daughter, the hospital room's door creaked open, and Adam's parents entered with a blend of excitement and nervousness. His mother, a mix of emotions painted on her face, rushed forward to embrace Adam.
"Oh, Adam, sweetheart, you're a father!" she exclaimed, her eyes gleaming with unshed tears of joy.
Adam smiled warmly, hugging his mother. "Yeah, Mom. Meet..." His words died on tongue when he realized they hadn't picked out a name for her yet.
"We haven't decided on a name yet," Emma adds quietly as she yawns.
"What about Paloma? Like your grandmother. It's perfect, just look at her."
Adam's eyes met Emma's, and for a moment, a silent agreement passed between them. Paloma—the perfect name, a homage to his grandmother, a symbol of heritage and a new beginning. They exchanged a nod, and Adam turned back to his parents.
"Paloma," he said, a smile breaking across his face. "Her name is Paloma."
The decision settled like a warm blanket, wrapping around the newborn with a sense of identity. Paloma, their little dove, had found her name in the embrace of a moment filled with love and the promise of a shared journey ahead.
──
Adam's frustration simmered beneath the surface as he and Emma found themselves ensnared in yet another argument. The air in the room crackled with tension, a silent precursor to the storm that was about to erupt. Paloma, blissfully unaware in her crib, slept soundly, while her parents grappled with the unresolved issues.
"I can't keep doing this, Emma," Adam muttered, his jaw clenched. The weight of unresolved issues hung heavily between them, each word an echo of past disagreements. "We need to talk."
Emma, her expression defensive, crossed her arms, a subtle defiance in her stance. "What's there to talk about, Adam? Everything's fine."
A bitter laugh escaped him with the weight of their shared history. "Everything's far from fine, and you know it. Paloma needs stability, and you can't keep pretending that everything's okay when it's not."
Emma's eyes flashed with irritation. "I'm her mother, Adam. I know what's best for her."
Adam's jaw clenched, frustration palpable. "You barely spend time with her but refuse my help. Every time I ask you to be a part of her life, you find an excuse. This isn't fair to Paloma, and it's not fair to me especially when you dragged me into this in the first place."
Paloma stirred in her crib, a subtle reminder of the fragile peace that hung in the balance. The argument, a reflection of their complicated past, loomed over them, threatening to unravel the delicate threads that held their connection together.
Emma's gaze hardened, and she retorted, "I didn't force you into anything, Adam. You were a part of this too, remember?"
Adam's frustration escalated, his voice sharper. "I was a part of it because I wanted to be a father to Paloma, not because I wanted to be stuck in this cycle with you. I can't keep watching you push me away, I wanna be apart of her life-"
She scoffed, a bitter edge to her tone. "You act like I'm the bad guy here. I'm doing my best, Adam."
"You dragged me into this," he continued, a sharp edge to his tone. "I fought to be a part of Paloma's life because I wanted to, but you make it impossible. This isn't about us anymore; it's about her. You need to step up and be a mother, like you'd wanted to almost a year ago when you decided to have her."
Emma's eyes narrowed, defensive walls fortified. "I am her mother. But you don't get to dictate how I should do things. I have my own life, Adam-"
"And Paloma is a part of that life, whether you like it or not!" Adam yelled, the frustration in his voice reaching a boiling point. "I can't keep covering for you, Emma. My mom asks where you're at and half the time, I don't even fucking know. You can't just show up when it's convenient for you and disappear when it's not."
Paloma's soft cries began, the room filled with the sound of her distress, a reflection of the anger surrounding her. Adam's frustration transformed into determination. "I won't let you keep hurting her with your inconsistency, especially when she's old enough to remember. If you can't be a constant presence in her life, then maybe it's better if you're not a part of it at all."
The words hung in the air, a heavy proclamation that seemed to mark the unraveling of their already strained connection. Emma, caught between defiance and vulnerability, met Adam's gaze with a steely resolve, setting the stage for a tumultuous chapter in the story of Paloma's fractured family.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: Jake Seresin x Shy!Wifey ➳synopsis: Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, The Seresins were preparing for a birth to announce ➳warnings: pregnancy, child birth, c-sections, a little bit of trauma, Jake's family, a dash of angst. ➳Word count: 5.5k Opposites Attract Masterlist | Hangman Masterlist
➳ note: no, this isn't the fourth installment of the Opposites Attract world, I am still working on that (cause idk where I wanna go with it) but MERRY CHRISTMAS YA FILTHY ANIMALS:)
Tumblr media
Since Jake was little, he had always loved Christmas. His mother always went all out, pulling out the boxes of decorations the second the last plate from thanksgiving was clean and put away. She would spend the next week decorating the house from head to toe. Garland, pine cones, lights, candy canes, and Christmas trees covered the house. Each room had its own sort of decorative vibe to it, and had its own box that went with it. Jake’s four older sisters could care less about decorating, but Jake was a momma’s boy and would spend hours helping his mom hang ornaments on trees.
That same love for Christmas followed Jake throughout his teenage years and even to adulthood. His first deployment was over Christmas and he somehow managed to get a small Christmas tree on board and set it up in his room. He could remember his first Christmas with Y/N, and fell even more in love with realizing that she too, had the same love for Christmas. They went all out buying their own Christmas tree, and setting up their own Christmas traditions. Their Christmases seemed to get even better when they had kids.
This year though, instead of going to Texas like they usually did, Y/N had invited Jake’s parents and sisters to San Diego for Christmas Eve. However, Jake  didn’t know that was Y/N’s plan and had already invited the Dagger Squad over for Christmas Eve as well. It sent Y/N into a bit of a panic as she looked down at her eight month swollen belly, but she put on a bright smile and said:
“The more the merrier!”
But now, she was slowly regretting saying that, as she looked at the house full of guests. Jolene and George had arrived on December 22nd, because Jolene wanted to help get groceries and wrap gifts for her grandkids. George would have cared less about being there so early. The next to arrive was Jake’s sister Andrea, and her husband Kyle and their kids, and Jessica and her partner Emily showed up on the 23rd, staying in an AirBnB near Jake and Y/N’s house.
“I thought it wasn’t supposed to be this hot,” Y/N groaned as she sat down on the back patio watching the kids play with their cousins.
“It’s not even that hot,” Jake’s twin sister, Hillary said. Hillary and Y/N hardly got along, but Y/N tried to remain civil towards her.
“Do you need anything, sweetheart?” Jolene asked, walking out to the backyard. Part of the reason why Hillary didn’t like Y/N was because she got along somewhat well with Jolene. Jolene was almost exactly how the song described; red hair teased to the high heavens, pale skin, and electric green eyes just like Jake’s. Y/N was surprised that at least one of her kids didn’t have red hair.
“I’m good, thank you, Mrs. Seresin,” Y/N smiled.
“Oh baby, you have carried five of my grandbabies now,” Jolene smiled, “You can call me Jolene.”
Y/N blushed and nodded as Eli ran up to her and climbed on the couch. He cuddled into her, pressing his face into her bump. She smiled and ran a hand through his messy blonde hair.
“What have you been doing, baby?” Y/N asked her youngest, as of right now, son.
“I gotta take a break,” He sighed and flopped his arms out dramatically, “Can’t keep up with Alex and Tyler and Ella and Derek and Joanie and-”
“Hard being the youngest, isn’t it,” Andrea, Jake’s eldest sister said, “Tyler and Joanie aren’t being mean are they?”
“No Auntie Drea,” Eli shook his head, “My legs just little.” Y/N giggled and Eli climbed back off the couch and ran towards his cousins.
“Gosh he reminds me of Jake,” Jessica said and sat down next to Y/N, “What about these two? Who do you think they’ll be like?” Jessica placed her hand gently on Y/N’s bump.
“Maybe if she found out the gender,” Hillary mumbled and sipped her wine.
Y/N brushed off her comment, “I think they’ll be like Jake. I think they all take after Jake in some way.”
“Especially Ella!” Andrea shook her head with a laugh, “That girl reminds me so much of him. She even has his little half smile. And those dimples! Gosh, they are twins.”
“Gossiping about me?” It was as if Jake had heard them say his name and he leaned over the couch. He placed a kiss on the top of his wife’s head, “How are things?”
“She’s been complaining about the heat,” Hillary rolled her eyes.
“You would be too if you were carrying twins and ready to pop,” Jessica said defending Y/N, “Besides, momma deserves to be comfortable. Can’t imagine what it feels like having your house bombarded like this during the final weeks.”
“It’s because she’s a trooper,” Jake came around the couch and sat down next to his wife. He put one arm around her and his hand went to her bump. He rubbed it gently and bent down to place a kiss on it.
“How is fixing up the nursery with dad?” Andrea asked and Jake sighed.
Over the years, Jake had slowly started to patch up the rocky relationship he had with his father. After the birth of Eli, Jake had realized that George had hardly ever wanted to see his grandkids or talk to them, and it hurt Jake. His sisters told him that it wasn’t just Jake’s kids that George didn’t gel well with, it was all his grandkids, but Jake didn’t see it that way. George was always so kind and caring when it came to his sister’s kids, but was kind of cold when it came to Jake’s brood. So, Jake sat down with him and talked to him about how it hurt him and George had apologized.
“Trying to tell me how to put a crib together, like I haven’t put together three in the past ten years,” Jake rolled his eyes, “It’s fine. He’s inside, probably complaining about me to mom. Which, I don’t care about anymore.”
“Well that certainly changed,” Hillary mumbled. And Jake glared at her, “What? You used to care so much about Dad’s opinion and approval of you. Everything changed when you met. . .”
Y/N shifted in her spot and looked down at the tea mug in her hands. Jake clenched his jaw and pulled Y/N in closer to him. He knew of Hilliary’s dislike for Y/N and couldn’t figure out why. All Hilliary ever said was Y/N was just too different than Jake, and it would never work. Jake thought it was maybe because she wasn’t at his wedding. But then again, no one was really at the wedding since they just did it on a whim. His mother and other sisters were a bit upset about it, but they forgave him for it seeing how in love Y/N and Jake were.
“This has nothing to do with Y/N,” Jake said, “I’m too old to be begging Dad for his approval. It’s his loss for being a jerk and not wanting to get to know his grandkids.”
“It is, Jake, and I’m sorry that he’s being like that,” Andrea said sincerely, “He’ll come around someday. Maybe once he has another heart attack.”
“That’ll be the damn day,” Jessica laughed, “I’ve been with Emily for over fifteen years and he still asks about how we’ve had kids.”
“Science has not caught up to the old man,” Jake shook his head.
“He’s still ordering things from infomercials. . . you think he’s understanding how in vitro fertilization works,” Andrea added and all four Seresin kids broke out in laughter.
— — —
“I don’t want to wear tights!” Ella pouted and Y/N sighed.
It was Christmas Eve and the house was already filled with members from the Dagger squad. Bob was the first to arrive like always, this time dragging along his girlfriend Maggie. He was bringing her over for the first time, and thought a perfect time to meet the whole Dagger Squad would be at Christmas. Christmas with nine aviators and their families was an interesting event. Every year they got too drunk off of Fireball and spiked Eggnog. Everyone knew that Christmas was a make or break, those who could hang with the squad got to stay.
Jake was already down stairs with the boys, being the best host like his mother taught him to be. He was mixing drinks and creating laughs at the built in bar that he so badly had to have in the house. Jolene was getting along great with Penny, Y/N’s mom Clara and Sarah Kazansky (who Jake and Y/N always invited her and her kids to Christmas).
“Ella, you have to wear tights with your Christmas dress,” Y/N tried again to get her six year old to put her white tights on. She wanted to try and cover the large scrapes on her knees from falling off her skateboard last week, but Rooster told her she looked cool and now she was against covering them up.
“No!” Ella crossed her arms over her chest.
“Fine then, I’ll tell Santa no gifts.”
“Santa’s not real. Uncle Fanboy told me last week.”
“Dammit,” Y/N mumbled under her breath and made a mental note to talk to Fanboy about ruining kids' dreams, “Please. Put your tights on.”
Ella shook her head again and Y/N gave up on trying to put tights on her, knowing that this battle was one she was not going to win. Y/N waddled down the stairs slowly as Ella ran up to her dad, Uncle Rooster and Fanboy. Jake picked up the girl and spun her around in a circle. Rooster couldn’t help but chuckle at the exposed scrapes on her knees.
“Wasn’t winning the tight argument?” Jake asked as Y/N made her way to the kitchen.
“No, and I’m not fighting with her anymore. Even pulled the Santa card, but someone,” Y/N looked at Fanboy, ''said he’s not R-E-A-L.”
Fanboy whistled as he picked up his drink and got off his barstool, going to both Payback and Stella. Jake chuckled and set Ella down to go run off with her cousins and friends. He moved to stand behind Y/N, running his hands over her very tight bump and frowned.
“Are you having contractions?”
“No,” Y/N said, “It’s been like this all day. And my back is killing me. I put the band on to try and help but it’s not.”
“Maybe it’s back labor,” Rooster said, casually sipping his drink. Y/N glared at him, “Hey! Remember the last time you said you weren’t in labor?? Yeah, Floyd ended up catching that crotch goblin.” As if he knew he was being talked about, Eli ran by with a can of whipped cream in his hand.
“Who the hell gave him that,” Jake said, and went to chase after the three year old. Y/N looked up to see Javy and Payback with smirks on their faces.
“I’m not in labor. I still have three weeks to go,” Y/N said and grabbed a glass of lemonade, “This isn’t like last time and I am not about to ruin Jesus’s birthday by having twins.”
“Would beat the bible story,” Rooster smiled and Y/N rolled her eyes. She walked towards the living room where some of the other women were. She sat down next to her mom, who was deep in conversation with Penny and Jolene about something. Dragon was sitting on the other side of her and tapped her arm.
“What’s with Ella’s knees?” The Trace girl asked.
“Her and Alex were seeing who could go down the hill at the park the fastest. Ella took a tumble and now refuses to wear tights,” Y/N said and Dragon stifled a laugh.
“God she’s like Bagman.”
“You didn’t tell them it was dangerous?” Hilliary asked and Jolene scolded her, “What? Ella could’ve gotten seriously hurt. I mean, Eli just had a cast on his arm like two weeks ago.”
“They’re kids,” Jolene said, “Kids get hurt. They break bones in the morning and are running in the afternoon.”
“Oh boy do they. One time Y/N was. . .” Clara fell into a story about how Y/N and her brother Thomas got into a scooter race around their cul-de-sac and crashed into each other, resulting in both breaking their wrists.
The rest of the night went along without a hitch. Jake and George had spent all day cooking up two turkeys and a ham for dinner. Jolene, Andrea, and Jessica cooked most of the sides. Y/N tried to help, but Jolene had told her to sit and watch, not wanting her to do anything too strenuous. Even though they had cooked tons of food, people still brought dishes to share. Y/N was slightly overwhelmed by the amounts of food on her kitchen counters. But she knew how the Dagger Squad was, and knew that almost every single thing would be gone and they would happily take leftovers home.
Jake had gotten the kids plates and set them at their own table off to the side of the main dining room. That was one thing that Jake had added when he built the house. He had put in a big main dining room that would then open up to a smaller dining room so for dinners like this, the kids weren’t completely shunned to another room and out of sight. He hated that growing up, how the kids were always in another part of the house, out of sight out of mind. Javy, Payback and their wives also liked the idea so they could see their children as well.
Y/N let out a slow breath as she pushed the green beans around her plate and rolled her shoulders back. The pain in her lower back was gradually getting worse, and she tried to push through it with no complaint. Jake had been watching her the whole night, seeing as she asked her mother several times to rub her back for her. He knew that this was probably the early stages of labor, but Y/N was stubborn. Hell, everyone knew how stubborn she was, the birth of Eli Seresin proved that.
“Babe,” Jake whispered over to her, putting his hand on her thigh, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” Y/N said, her voice shaky.
“Are you sure? Are you having contractions?”
“No,” Y/N said, and squeezed his hand, “I promise, I’m not having any contractions.” Jake nodded and leaned over to kiss his wife. She giggled into the kiss, and pulled him in close.
“Really?” They broke apart, both looking like two teens that had just gotten caught by their parents, but in reality it was just Hilliary giving Y/N a glare, “Is that how you got into that situation?”
Y/N looked down at her swollen belly, and ran her hand over it. Jake had had enough of his sister’s sly comments towards Y/N for the past few days. He knew how much the things Hilliary said bothered Y/N. He had spent one too many nights comforting her while she cried and asked why his twin sister hated her. He respected Y/N’s wishes on not confronting his sister, but between his dad being on him for different things and seeing his wife cower under his sister’s glare, Jake had enough.
“What is your problem?” Jake asked and Y/N felt her heartbeat start to rise. She felt all eyes snap to both of them as Hilliary looked like a deer in the headlights, “You’ve been a bitch this whole time.”
“Jacob!” Jolene scolded.
“He’s not wrong,” Andrea mumbled, taking a sip of her wine.
“I haven’t done anything to her,” Hillary pointed out, “Just pointing out that not everyone wants to see you two making out at the dinner table.”
“That was hardly making out,” Jake scoffed, and rolled his eyes, “God, Hillary! You’ve not had a single nice thing to say about Y/N since you met her! She’s been nothing but nice to you!” Jake yelled.
“I don’t have to be nice to her!” Hillary yelled, “She hasn’t done anything but stay at home, shoot out kids, and munch off of our-”
“Oh,” Y/N gasped as she felt a sudden rush of warmth between her legs. She looked down at her chair and then back up at Jake who’s jaw dropped. Clara was thankfully sitting next to Y/N, and grabbed a napkin off the table to try and cover up the wet spot on her dress. Rooster and Bob stood up from their spots and ran over to the other side of the table.
“Fucking great,” Hillary grumbled, “And now she’s turned Christmas all about-”
“Would you shut up for a damn second!” Dragon yelled at the Seresin girl, “Are you okay?”
“Sweets,” Jake said, and grabbed his wife’s hand.
“It’s early,” She looked at him frightened, “Oh god.”
“I’ll get the car!” George spoke up, and Jake and Jolene both looked at him in shock. George Seresin never had anything to do with his childrens’ birth. In fact, Jolene didn’t have him in the room during a single one of her four kids’ births. He sat in the waiting room until it was over.
“Her bag is upstairs by the-”
“I got it!” Jessica said, and ran towards the Seresin bedroom.
“Val, Maggie, help me take the kids down stairs,” Stella said, standing up from her chair and over to where the kids had noticed the commotion at. There were little sounds of protest as the women corralled the kids down to the basement, but the second that Fanboy stood up and said that Santa was on his way, they all cheered and followed him to the basement.
“What do you need?” Jake asked his wife, as Rooster rubbed her shoulders as she started to feel contractions.
“I’d like to change my clothes,” Y/N let out a breath, “But I want to get to the hospital first.”
“Are you gonna shoot out these two on the floor like Eli?” Rooster asked and Y/N glared at him, “Hey, I just want to be prepared in case I gotta catch a kid again.”
“You didn’t even catch the last one,” Bob said and Y/N let out a groan.
“Dad’s out front with the car,” Jessica said, walking back into the dining room, handing Jake the go-bag, “We’ll stay here and put the kids to bed and everything.”
“Thank you,” Jake said, and helped Y/N to her feet.
“Oh, they're gonna hate us,” Y/N groaned, “We won’t be here to open gifts.”
“I will record it,” Andrea said, “And Kyle promised to dress up as S-A-N-T-A. They will be distracted. Now, go have these babies.” Andrea kissed Y/N’s cheek and then hugged her brother.
Hillary was standing in the corner of the room as she walked Jake carefully guiding his laboring wife to the car. She never thought that the argument was going to lead to her water breaking and that fact that her nieces or nephews were going to be born early. Hillary let out a gasp as she covered her mouth with her hand. She knew the dangers of having babies early, she was a nurse for christ sake, and she knew the dangers of having twins early. Hillary somehow found it in her to run after Jake and Y/N, catching a glimpse as Rooster shut the car door and George pulled out of the driveway.
— — —
Y/N let out a small scream as she braced her hands on the bed, swaying back and forth gently as she worked through a contraction. Clara was rubbing her back, and Jake was holding her hair back in case she were to get sick again. Y/N was used to contractions and going through labor without pain meds. She had Eli on her bedroom floor, totally unmedicated. But these contractions were the worst she had ever felt and she was waiting until she could get her epidural.
They had been in the hospital for a little over four hours, and it was officially Christmas Morning. Andrea had sent Jake a picture showing the three older Seresin kids were asleep in Jake and Y/N’s bed. Jake had also sent an apology to the Dagger Squad group chat, but they were all more excited to find out if they were welcoming two boys, two girls or one of each into the family. Jolene and George were sitting in the waiting room, both of them not wanting to leave their son and his wife, both too excited to meet their grandchildren.
“God it hurts so much,” Y/N cried and Jake looked over at the contraction monitor, “Momma.”
“It’s almost over,” Clara said, rubbing her daughter’s back. She had been there twice before to see her give birth and it never got easier to see her daughter in pain.
“Jake, can you find the doctor?” Y/N asked and Jake nodded, running to the nurses station, “Where’s dad?”
“Getting more ice chips,” Clara answered, and Y/N started to move to sit back down on the medicine ball. Clara grabbed a hair tie off her wrist and tied Y/N’s hair up in a bun, “Do you need water?”
“I need a fucking epidural,” Y/N groaned as Jake walked back in, the anesthesiologist and their main nurse, Vera, behind him, “Thank god!” Jake laughed as the nurse handed Y/N the paperwork and the anesthesiologist walked her through the steps of the epidural. Even though Y/N was having twins, she still wanted to do a vaginal birth, and both her midwife and OB agreed to make that happen the best that they could.
“We’re going to get you positioned on the bed,” The anesthesiologist said. Jake, and Clara helped Y/N sit on the side of the bed, Jake standing between her legs like he had done for the first two kids. He ran his dull fingers over her hair, scratching at her scalp lightly. Clara stepped out in the hallway, giving them some privacy as James rounded the corner.
“Babies time?” James asked and Clara shook her head.
“Getting drugs,” Clara said, “You know. . . these are our last grandchildren.”
“I have faith in Carson to stop being an idiot,” James said, putting his arm around his wife, “Until then, yes, these are our last grandbabies.” Clara laughed and James kissed her forehead.
“Deep breath, Y/N,” The doctor said and Y/N sucked in a breath and squeezed Jake’s hands as the needle went into her back. She felt that same warm sensation she had felt before and let out the breath she was holding. Jake kissed her forehead, and whispered words of encouragement as they got ready to place the epidural needle in.
Y/N closed her eyes as she felt the needle prick her skin. Jake held her hands tightly as Y/N let out a slow breath through pursed lips, and counted down the seconds until it was over. She felt her body relax a bit as the needle was removed from her skin.
“All done, you should feel it start to set in soon,” The doctor said, and Jake helped Y/N lay down on her side in bed.
“Need anything else, Y/N?” Nurse Vera asked and Y/N shook her head, “You’re dilating at a good rate. Going to have some Christmas Babies.”
“Yay,” Y/N said, giving her a smile. Jake squeezed her ankle, and rubbed her calf.
— — —
It was about fifteen minutes later that Y/N started to feel weird. Jake had gone to the bathroom, leaving Y/N alone momentarily. She blinked her eyes a couple times, feeling her head start to swim and her hands tingle. Something was wrong, something was very, very wrong.
“Jake?” Y/N called out to him, and tried to pull herself out of bed, but was too weak to even raise her arm up. Jake had just walked out of the bathroom, and his eyes went wide. Her color was gone, and he could see a thin layer of sweat all over her body.
“Sweets, talk to me, what’s wrong?”
“I-I-” Y/N felt out of breath as she tried to reach for Jake but couldn’t even move an inch. Jake reached for the call button, pressing it rapidly. He cursed, and ran for the door, going to the nurses station.
“Something is wrong with my wife,” Jake rushed out in a panic. The nurses at the desk quickly got up and followed him into Y/N’s room, as alarms started going off.
“Baby B is in distress,” Nurse Vera said.
“Her heart rate has dropped,” Beverly, Y/N’s midwife said, “We need to move. Call up to an OR.” Beverly hit a button above Y/N’s bed, and a swarm of nurses and doctors came in, pushing Jake out of the way to get to Y/N.
“Jake!” Y/N called out to him. Nurse Vera grabbed the oxygen mask from the wall, and put it on Y/N’s face. Other nurses and techs got Y/N’s hospital bed ready to move towards the operating room. Jake tried to get close to her, but another nurse pushed him towards the back of the room.
“Ready to move,” A tech said and Beverly nodded. Y/N looked around the room, her vision becoming blurry both from tears and from the blood rushing out of her head. She tried to reach her hand out towards Jake.
“Jake!” She yelled a little bit loud.
“You’re okay! Just breathe! I’ll be right there!” Jake called out to his wife. Y/N kept her hands on her belly protectively as they took her right down to the operating room. He tried to follow them out into the hallway but he was stopped, “Get your damn hands off of me, and let me go with.”
“You can’t go with her, I’m sorry,” A nurse said, “You need to go wait in the waiting room.”
“The fuck I am!” Jake yelled as Clara and James ran around the corner.
“What’s going on?!” Clara asked, “Where did they take her?!” If there was one person no one wanted to piss off it would be Clara Y/L/N.
“Your daughter’s heart rate dropped and the twins went into distress,” The nurse explained, “She’s being taken back into an emergency c-section. We will update you when we can. But I’m sorry, you can’t go back with her.” The nurse turned on their heel and went towards the direction they took Y/N without any further explanation. Jake ran his hands through his hair and pulled at the ends of his blonde locks. Clara let out a soft sob as James pulled her into his arms and kissed her forehead.
“Let’s go wait,” James said, and put a hand on Jake’s shoulder.
James had slowly become more of a father figure in his life than his own father ever had. He always knew what to say, and gave Jake comfort in moments like this. Jake nodded and wiped a tear from his cheek, as he followed his in-laws out into the lobby. Jake’s own parents had left to go and help Andrea prepare things for Christmas morning. He sat down in an uncomfortable leather chair with a sigh.
Jake looked around the waiting room and saw that it was pretty much empty except for a few people. Most people were probably asleep in their beds, holding onto their loved ones as they prepared for an exciting Christmas Morning of opening gifts and spending it with their families. Jake’s lip quivered as he thought about his family. How his wife was all alone and vulnerable, being cut open and having their last babies delivered. He wanted nothing more than to be laying in bed, surrounded by his five kids and his wife in matching Christmas pajamas that were way too hot for anyone to stay in for too long.
Jake put his arm on the armrest of the chair, and leaned his head on his fist. He knew this was going to take awhile, so he thought he might as well get comfortable and wait. He slowly fell asleep, and dreams of future Christmases with his family filled his mind.
— — —
Y/N sucked in a deep breath, well as deep as she could take, as she started to wake up. She wasn’t sure what had happened and everything was a blur. The lights were bright and she kept her eyes closed, as she tried to sit up, but let out a loud groan. It felt like she had done about a million crunches, and her hands went to her belly, finding that where her bump once was, was now a large scar. Tears started to fill her eyes as she tried to fill in the blanks on what had happened.
“Sweets?” Jake called out softly, his hand going into hers. Her eyes opened and she looked at Jake, “What’s wrong?”
“Where are my babies?” Y/N whimpered out.
“They’re okay,” Jake said, running a hand over her hair. She looked better than she did when they whisked her away. Her color was somewhat back, and her eyes looked more alive. She tried to push herself up again, but Jake gently pushed her back down on the bed. He took the remote for the bed, and sat her up a bit. She whispered out a thanks, and then pointed towards the water cup on the table in front of her. Jake grabbed it and helped her sip from the straw.
She gently pushed the cup away from her, “What happened?”
“Your heart rate dropped,” Jake said, “And it caused the boys to go into distress. They took you for an emergency c-section. Everything went okay, they are resting down in the NICU.”
“Boys?” Y/N quipped, “I have two boys? We have two boys?”
“We had two boys,” Jake smiled and Y/N returned it with one of her own. He leaned forward and kissed his wife, “I’ll go get Nurse Vera so you can go see them.” Y/N nodded and Jake went to go find the nurse.
It was the most painful experience ever, getting from the bed to a wheelchair so she could go see her newborn twins. Jake pushed her down the hallway, going ever so slowly to not hit anything that would jostle Y/N’s body. Clara and James were currently in the NICU nursery, making sure that somewhere was there for each of the twins. They had let Jolene and George know that they had two more grandsons to add to their family.
“Alright, you ready?” Nurse Vera asked as Jake wheeled Y/N up to the door of the nursery, “We’re going to have you guys do skin to skin, each of you will take a twin, and then switch. We want you to try and see if they will latch.”
Y/N nodded and Jake pushed the chair into the room. She gasped seeing the two incubators in the otherwise bare room. There was a rocking chair in the middle of them.
“Do you want to sit in the rocking chair?” Vera asked and Y/N shook her head, “That’s alright. We will start with baby A.” Vera put on a gown, gloves and a mask. Jake stood behind Y/N’s chair and watched as Vera carefully took the newborn out of the incubator, “He is four pounds seven ounces, and eighteen point four inches. He’s your little one. Jake, I'm going to have you untie the back of Y/N’s gown and pull it down slightly, exposing her chest.”
Jake nodded and did what Vera instructed. Y/N felt a bit vulnerable, but then Vera placed the baby against her chest, and Y/N felt tears in her eyes. Vera draped a blanket over Y/N and the baby, to keep them both warm. Jake gently caressed her shoulder and looked down at his son. He could tell that he had her nose but his green eyes, and Jake could see the faintest color of red in his hair.
“Maxwell,” Y/N said and looked up at Jake, “Maxwell Glen Seresin.”
“I love it,” Jake said, and kissed the top of her head.
“Alright Jake, take a seat in the rocker please, and strip the shirt off,” Vera said and Jake sat down in the rocker and took his shirt off, “This is Baby B. He is five pounds ten ounces, and nineteen point two inches long.” Vera placed the baby against Jake’s chest. Jake immediately tilted his head down to sniff the top of the newborn's head. His heart clenched a bit, realizing that this was the last time he’d ever get that newborn baby smell.
“Jasper Thomas,” Jake said looking at his wife, “What do you think?”
“I like it,” Y/N said, rubbing her son’s back, “Jasper and Maxwell,” She sighed and looked at Jake, “Merry Christmas, baby.”
“Merry Christmas to you too,” Jake smiled, and then looked down at his son asleep on his chest, “This is the best Christmas ever.”

Hi! That talk ab what does and doesn't fit in ur personal canon (idk if that's the right word for it?) made me realize that I don't think I've ever seen you talk about Sandy on here! I lowkey forgot she was a character lmao. Where does she fit for you? (Does she fit? And if she does, could u give us some hcs on what you think her relationship with Soda was like?)
HI! Omg ok, this might be kind of long because I have LOTS of thoughts!
So in my head I have two sort of versions of my personal canon, and one is what I think actually would align with canon, and one is what I wish/gaslight myself into believing would work in canon.
I will say that I don't like Sandy as a character- but then again, as readers we're not supposed to. That said, I think she's an important character, and the fandom trashes and discredits her without really thinking about a) what she adds to the story, b) how realistic and common her plight of an unplanned teenage pregnancy that occured out of wedlock in the 60s was and what the consequences for her would be, c) keeping the last point in mind, how decent of her it was to not lie to Soda about the kid being his and to not accept his proposal when he insisted he didn't care (keep in mind that canonically Soda was so in love he was willing to marry her anyway). In a sense it can be argued that Sandy saved Soda in a way, or at least saved his future. I'm not saying she's a great person, of course she isn't but she cared enough about Soda to tell him the truth and not to trap him in a marriage with a baby that wasn't his when that was an option and her alternatives weren't great (the book says she went to stay with an aunt in Kansas or something- whether you believe thats actually where she ended up or not is up to you, personally I think it's likely she ended up in a religious led birthing house where she gave birth and the baby was taken away from her and adopted out, or alternatively kept her baby and lived as a social pariah while her child was looked down on for being a bastard) . I think too that it's important to keep in mind that Ponyboy's narration- PARTICULARLY about his views and portrayal of Soda- is biased. Ponyboy is fourteen. He and Soda are close, and he knew Soda loved Sandy but he clearly didn't have a good understanding of their relationship (for all we know, Soda and Sandy could have been going through a rough patch) and Soda may have loved her but might not have been a great boyfriend (we know Ponyboy puts him on a pedestal). Again, I'm not trying to excuse cheating, but Sandy is a character who was in a really tough situation and did the best she could considering, and I think people like to hate on her because they like to pretend that teen pregnancy isn't a real and prevalent issue in underprivelidged communities (and because Hinton's writing shows a lot of internalized misogyny but that's a rant for a different post) because it takes some of the 'fun' out of the greaser world- but Sandy is an important character because she forces readers to acknowledge that hard truth, and sit with it, and be uncomfortable, even if they hate her. It's interesting too, because Steve says that Sandy either had to go to kansas and dissapear or get married and her parents wouldn't let her marry a seventeen year old kid. But Sandy herself was a seventeen year old kid. Yes, it's good Soda didn't end up marrying her, but it's bleak that that was even considered as an option for her. Marriage at seventeen- even if she (and her parents) did accept Soda is a huge commitment, and likely would have ended with them resnting each other and living life barely making ends meet. To me, it's likely had Soda and Sandy ended up together, that they would have turned into Two-bit's parents (one ran off, one working to death) or Steve's (cyclically resentful, violent, and remorseful by turns). To me, the whole Sandy situation was a shallow echo of showing cycles of poverty and abuse in a novel that is so preoccupied with conflicts taking place in the moment. So yeah, I don't particularly like Sandy, but I think she is an incredibly important character in the novel, and I wish we'd got at least one scene with her actually present- then again, hearing about the whole issue through Ponyboy who hears it secondhand is an important framing device for how we see and interpret her character, and an interesting narrative choice. (Rant over lol)
In my fun little universe that I wish was canon, Stevepop is a thing, but Soda only realizes his feelings for Steve once his relationship with Sandy ends. In this universe, things go down the same way, but Sandy was never as interested in Soda as she feels she SHOULD have been, so she tried to force herself to like him and it just didn't work, and she ended up cheating as a way to ensure things would end and she'd have a good excuse, because Soda was always willing to talk through fights and if she broke up with him without a reason people would think she was crazy. At the time, Steve and Evie were an item, butweren't actually into each other (I will push my Steve and Evie as each others beards agenda until the day I die, because Steve is gay and Evie is aroace even though she didn't have terminology for that in the 60s, and they cared about each other.) ANYWAY in my canon, Sandy goes to Kansas and Steve and Soda figure their shit out, and Evie is so happy for Steve and offers to keep fake dating him so he and Soda can avoid suspicion, but Steve says no thanks so they stage a super elaborate breakup mid class one day because neither of them studied for the history test and this was as good a strategy as any to get out of it. Once Evie storms out of the class in fake tears, she calls Sandy (because that girl is still her friend and Evie doesn't turn her back on friends) and find out Sandy had a miscarriage, but she's found a job as a hairdresser in Kansas and she doesn't want to return to Tulsa and the rumours she know will follow her around, but she's as happy as she can be given the circumstances. Evie gives her updates on the town gossip, and promises to visit if she gets a chance. Sandy doesn't ask about Soda and Evie doesn't bring him up, and there's a silent consensus that they never will. Meanwhile, Soda hardly thinks about her at all anymore except with an occasional bittersweet smile that Steve knwos from a mile away and also knows how to distract Soda so that he isn't think of hher anymore. In the end, Sandy is just someone Soda used to know, and Soda is a stranger Sandy met once. The end.

Family Formation Part Seven

13 hours of labour later, a 56cm, 8lb 5oz, white-haired, sparkling blue-eyed bundle of love was laid in your arms. Exhausted, sore, and sweaty but so full of endorphins it all seems trivial. Satoru had been by your side for the full 13 hours, refusing to eat because you couldn’t, laying behind you supporting your back and giving endless encouragement and finally catching your long-awaited baby boy. You had made a list of names throughout your pregnancy and the second you both laid eyes on your son, there was no other name needing consideration, Akio was perfect.
Satoru had cried (a lot) when his baby boy was put into his arms for the first time as Shoko stitched him up and cleaned him. You had point-blank refused to have anyone except Shoko deliver your baby, which was a smart choice given that this child was the amalgamation of the strongest sorcerer and a sorceress wielding one of the most powerful innate cursed techniques- plus, she was your best friend.
After his first bath and being wrapped in the blanket your great-grandmother had made, Akio was settled into your arms as Satoru went to announce the arrival of his darling boy to the people in the waiting room.
He came in and asked if you were ready for visitors and as tired as you were, you couldn’t wait another moment for Akio to meet his family. Your mom was out of the country and rushing home as you were in labour, dropping all sorcery diplomacy and running to her daughters’ side.
‘Let them in one at a time ‘toru.’ You say as he opens the door and calls in the person who you wanted him to meet first.
A spiky head of raven hair appears in the doorway. You smile and tilt the bundle in your arms to face him. “Gumi, I’d like you to meet your baby brother, Akio Ryu Tadashi Gojo.”
Somehow despite the 9 months’ notice, Megumi seems completely shocked.
“Holy shit, he’s real.” He looks between you and Gojo, who laughs a little at the reaction.
“Yeah kiddo, he’s very real. The bruises on my hand from your mom’s squeezing are the painful proof!” He says, waving his slightly blue wrist.
“Shut up, mom did all the real work. Are you okay? Is he okay? Do you need anything?”
“We’re both fine sweet boy, I’m sore but I did just push out a human so I’m sore. Come closer, honey. He wants to see you.”
Megumi grimaces at the thought of your pain, and also with the awkward teenage boy reaction to childbirth. He slowly moves closer, as if him moving to fast will cause the baby to shatter like glass.
“He looks like you, mom.” He says.
“You think? He’s got your dad’s colourings.”
“Nah, he’s too pretty to look anything like dad.”
You let out a huff of laughter as your husband acts out a wound in his chest on your other side.
“Do you want to hold him?”
“Uh… okay.”
The nerves have spiked in him so you scoot over to make room for him to sit on the bed beside you.
“Okay so put your arms like this, and make sure you hold his pretty little head.” Satoru says as he lifts Akio from you and places him into Megumi’s stiff arms. You smile at how cautious your husband is, you’ve been raised surrounded by children and babies so this all feels like second nature to you.
“Hey ‘lil man. I’m Megumi. I’m your brother I guess. I’m gonna show you some really cool stuff when you grow up, and make sure your dad doesn’t turn you into a clone of himself.” Megumi says to the blinking eyes of the baby he holds. You can tell he doesn’t know what to say, so you wrap you arm around your two sons.
“Megumi is gonna be the best big brother, he can show you his shikigami and show you all the cool music and read you the best books. He’s gonna keep you real safe too.” You say.
There’s silence for a minute as Megumi just looks at the baby.
“Tsumiki would have been so excited about you. She was – is, my big sister. So I guess yours too. I hope she meets you someday.” The slight hitch in his voice shows that holding his baby brother is making him realise how Tsumiki must have felt.
“You will meet her, Akio, and she’s gonna love you so much. Just how she loves Megumi.” You kiss the side of his head, and Gojo squeezes his arm around the boys broad shoulders, for once Megumi leans into him and doesn’t push him away.
“Eh, Nobara told me that you give gifts to the baby when they’re born. So I made something. It’s in my bag on the ground if you wanna grab it.”
Satoru leans down and opens it and freezes. He turns to you and pulls out a book. He sits on your other side and lays the book on your lap for you both to see.
In Megumi’s beautiful tidy cursive, on the cover, is written ‘Your Family’ and ask you open it you see photos he must have taken of you, Satoru, himself, Tsumiki, your parents, Yuuji and Nobara, Shoko and Nanami, Yaga and in one photo, in the corner you notice Geto, smiling with his arm around Gojoy, you had both discussed that you would raise your kid to know about his Uncle Geto as the man he was in high school, before the world became too much for him. Yaga makes an appearance too, along with Utahime and the second years. There’s wedding photos from you and Satoru’s big day, ones you remember Shoko taking in high school, photo’s you’ve never seen before from your pregnancy, ones of you and Satoru on missions. You realise that there’s an ‘introduction’ to each family member on each page and you begin to sob reading them.
“Oh shit, I didn’t know you’d cry.” Megumi says, panicking he’d upset you.
“Oh no sweetheart, it’s happy tears. I love it so much, it’s so beautiful. I can’t believe you did this, he can keep it forever now. Thank you, darling boy.” There’s tears in Gojo’s eyes too, behind his small sunglasses as he sweeps you 3 into a hug in his long arms.
“Um, it’s okay, I’m glad you like it. Figured he’d need a roadmap to navigate this mess.” He smirks. “Are you gonna let the others in?”
“Should we FaceTime Yuuta?” Satoru asks.
“No it will be 3am for him, we’ll ring him later. Akio’s not going anywhere.” You say, making sure your newest stray child gets his sleep is important.
“Satoru, godfather next.” You say and Satoru opens the door and waves his hand.
In walks Nanami, suit jacket draped over his arm and glasses tucked into his pocket.
“Akio! This is your Uncle Nanamin!” Satoru joyful waves between the two of them, and the tick in Kento’s jaw makes you laugh, he walks over to you on the bed, Akio now back in your arms and Megumi on the armchair beside you, Satoru standing just staring at his son.
“Congratulations, Y/N, Satoru. You did wonderfully. Was he a healthy size?” Nanami asks, practical as ever.
“8lbs 5oz and 56cm, he got his father’s height.” You say, looking at your towering man.
“And his hair and eyes, but he definitely looks like you, Y/N. He’s too cute to look like Gojo.” He says.
“Is everyone going to say that? I – am offended.” Satoru says pointing at Nanami. You laugh and you hear Megumi snort.
“Kento, we were hoping to ask you a question now you’re here.” You say, looking to Satoru, wanting him to ask.
“We were hoping that you wouldn’t just be Uncle Nanamin, but maybe you would be godfather Nanamin?” He says making a theatrical gesture towards the baby.
For once, the smile on Nanami’s face isn’t hidden.
“I would be honoured, Akio. But please, call me Uncle Kento. I presume Shoko is the godmother.”
“Godmother and doctor who delivered him.” You nod.
Nanami lifts a box from behind him.
“A gift for my godson.” He hands it to Satoru who wastes no time in opening the gift and goes “Wow! That’s so cool!” before he shows it to you, it’s a beautiful wooden box with ‘keepsakes’ engraved on the front.
“Oh Nanami, it’s wonderful, thank you so much! I love it.”
“Of course, shall I let the next guests in?”
He turns and calls in Yuuji and Nobara, who push past each other to get through the door first and you can hear the bickering.
The both gasp when they enter the room.
“Sensei! Y/N! That’s a baby!” Yuuji exclaims and Nobara’s mouth hangs open.
“Great observation Itadori.” Megumi smirks.
“No it’s just like – wow, you made a whole person! Well like a small one but still a person! It’s crazy!” He almost jumps toward you and stares through big brown eyes as Nobara skips toward you.
“Oh my god Sensei he’s so cute!!! His tiny hands!! And feet!! And nose!! What’s his name?? You’re so amazing Y/N!” She says. These two are definitely a different speed from the other two visitors in the room.
“His name is Akio.” You smile.
“Are you okay Y/N? Did it hurt really bad? Is there a way we can help?”
“I’m okay, Yuuji, and the pain was worth it.”
A mouth appears on Yuuji’s face.
“Hmph, the Gojo spawn has arrived I see. You’re stronger than I expected, woman.”
A chorus of ‘shut up Sukuna’ echoes across the room. But you look directly at his cheek and say,
“Thank you, Ryomen.” He sneered and retreated.
“I got you these Y/N!” Yuuji’s smile takes over his whole face as he hands you a huge bouquet of peony roses.
“I remember Gojo was talking about how they’re your favourites but the flower lady laughed when I asked for penises, and Nobara really died laughing so she told me they’re called Peonies.” You and Satoru burst into hysterical laughter at the thought of Itadori asking a florist for penises.
“They are my favourite, thank you honey, they’re so beautiful. Nanami, would you mind putting them in some water for me?” You say and he takes the flowers from Yuuji and you give him a kiss on the cheek.
Nobara whisks out a huge gift bag and says,
“I went shopping and bought some cute baby clothes! Look at these dungarees, they have tiny lions on them!” She shoves the bag at Satoru who nearly tumbles at its size, proving she went way overboard.
“You two are both so sweet, thank you guys. You’re both gonna make great babysitters.”
They both squeal and move to sit on the arms of the chair beside Megumi.
The next people to come in were the second years, Inumaki saying ‘Tsuna!’ As soon as he saw the baby and giving you a thumbs up and pat on the head. Panda began crying because the baby was so cute and small, and Maki immediately asked how you were, telling you she is amazed by your strength and how great you are for delivering a whole child. Toge and Panda had pitched together to buy Akio a stuffed panda and a jellycat riceball. And Maki, in very Maki fashion, brought diapers and wipes. Shoko came to the door next, returning from a rest after delivering your son.
“Mei Mei’s crows just dropped these off, they’re from Utahime and her.” You smiled taking the bags from her. Utahime was on a mission at the moment and couldn’t make it down to see you, but had sent you a beautiful card congratulations you and saying she was happy Satoru could do something right, and a beautiful box of postpartum beauty supplies, stretch mark cream and cooling eye patches included. Mei Mei also sent a card, with a set of the most expensive looking matching satin pyjamas for you and Akio.
Yaga also dropped by, clapping Satoru on the shoulder and whispering, “Well done, my boy.” To him, you knew this meant a lot to Satoru.
Your family had already given you your gift for your son, a cutting from a tree from your family home that your great great great great grandmother planted when her first child was born, using your families innate inherited technique. The tree bloomed soft blue flowers year round, no matter the weather and always seemed to faintly glow at night.
The Gojo clan, they had sent the Gojo heirloom silver rattle which Satoru had once owned as a child. Your mother was due to arrive the following day, and you knew she would be spoiling her 3rd grandchild rotten and you too when she arrived. She loved Satoru, and he loved her, so she was going to stay with you both for a week to help you both ease into the life of new parents, and Satoru couldn’t have squeezed and hugged her tighter when she offered.
After another half an hour, Satoru notices you yawning, with Akio asleep in his arms.
“Okay momma is tired everyone it is time to leave now! You can all come back and fawn over how cute my mini me is some other time.”
After everyone wishes you goodbye and a final kiss on the head for Megumi, who you send back to his dorm with a quiet thank you again for the book, you, Satoru and Akio are left in the peaceful room surrounded by keepsakes and your peonies now on the table beside the bed.
You scoot over to let Satoru into the bed beside you, and he places Akio in the crib beside you both. He squirms under the blanket, careful to be very gentle with you, knowing you’re still tender and aching. He wraps an arm gingerly across your stomach and presses soft kisses into your hairline, you tilt your head up and kiss his soft perfect lips.
“He’s really here, our little boy.”
“Thank you, Y/N. You’re so incredible, I’m in awe of you, I never thought I could love anything as much as I love you and the kids.. Thank you for giving me a family.” He says, pointing to the handmade book beside you both.
“Thank you for making it possible, you deserve the world, ‘Toru.”
And with that, you both curl up, drifting off in each others arms listening to the soft breaths of the baby beside you.

Of temptations and fantasies... come true – Naoto Tachibana x NieceReaderKisaki!
Tumblr media
The account of the life of the Kisaki couple who were happily married was wonderfully complemented by a precious newborn. Truth be told, they both went through a lot of conflicts and problems during the early years of their marriage but they both worked hard to do better for each other. Kisaki Tetta and Hinata Tachibana, sooner rather than later figured as the example to follow in their circle of friends as the couple most in love, only Tetta could put stars in Hinata's eyes and only Hinata managed to get some visible emotion out of Tetta.
They were meant for each other, they learned it over time and from that point on they could only fall more in love with each other every day.
Knowing that about marriage, no one was taken by surprise when the news of a pregnancy came out and they could be seen more than content and happy, they were the happiest couple that their acquaintances and friends could see.
It was an enlightening, new stage that united the Kisaki couple too much.
━━━━━━ ꒦꒷♡꒷꒦ ━━━━━━
Hinata adored her new stage as a mother, her baby was simply the most precious baby that could exist and her heart melted every day to see how her husband lived with, in her husband's words, "the most beautiful princess in the universe" in such a way tender and fatherly. He could glimpse how Tetta strove for her daughter, and for her, how even when he came home exhausted from her work he still cared for her sweet angel of hers and talked long and hard with her. Before, he considered it impossible to fall in love with someone every day, but Tetta achieved the impossible and even did so years after their courtship began, which culminated in a happy family.
She had never imagined having a family to love unconditionally but Tetta had been the one for her and he was perfect, not for other people but for her and her precious baby he was the perfect husband and father.
Her life over the years became peaceful and comfortable, she could not help but smile proudly when she saw the photo that was above the fireplace every time she entered the house (she can still clearly remember in her teenage courtship years when she was not Tetta's girlfriend having told him a detail of one of his dreams, and said dream was of having a house with a fireplace because he imagined himself in front of it with the family he would choose and he still remembers the response of his friend at that time "whoever I loved you, I hope you what you want so much Hinata', he had said it so matter-of-factly without even looking her in the eye because he continued outlining the homework maps for both of them because she would fill them with color because he wasn't good at it) a photo of their house where they came out everyone in your family; she sitting on the porch of a rustic cabin where her husband was next to her sitting one step below with their sweet baby girl in her arms and both smiling at the camera leaning on the front of the dark green off-road jeep. That had been the most disastrous but perfect vacation that she could remember she had had as a family, and if they had had vacations in luxury hotels, even though it seemed to her and her daughter sometimes something very expensive and always receiving the same response;
“My family will always have the best”
It was endearing how Tetta made an effort for both of them and she also placed herself on her part, as a teacher and right hand of her husband in her company. They both wanted to give her a comfortable, comfortable, warm life with everything her daughter needed from unconditional love to her basic needs. Never forgetting to make her feel loved, part of her family and that she had people to trust her, hers two parents of hers who would adore her with her soul but she would have the sense when necessary. None wanted to repeat their parenting patterns, because although they were not the same, they had the characteristic in common that they never felt completely confident or safe at home.
It was a promise when they heard the first beats of her daughter's heart.
A promise they kept out of love, not commitment. And Hinata could only record in her memory memories of her family, from the mundane ones where her husband fell asleep with his sweet angel on top of him sleeping, both so disheveled as a result of the total cleaning of the house and still perceiving the aroma of food. landlady dancing in the air to where they went out to dinner like every month well dressed at a restaurant where they knew their daughter would make faces at such small food only to smile big when she saw her favorite burger with all the accompaniments her stomach wanted.
Simply put, her life was what she never managed to dream awake or asleep, and who least expected it gave it to her with open arms and a warm heart.
And at that tiny moment, at that moment when she saw her husband still wearing his pajamas and frowning (because he always forgot his glasses in the mornings when he had nothing to do) carry her daughter with one arm while they both cooked , both silently admiring as the bacon sizzled in the skillet over medium heat and their daughter; [Name] in her hand holding the spatula just the same in pajamas with the same frown. Hinata crept closer before surprising them both by hugging them before kissing Tetta sweetly on her cheek and her sweet daughter on her little nose.
"I love you more every day my loves"
And if Hinata hadn't fallen more in love with her family, when she saw them smile it was the signature of her life sentence.

Kisaki Tetta never imagined himself a father, but now as he kept his daughter company after picking her up from school at the supermarket, looking for the shopping list for her birthday and at the same time for her uncle's welcome, watching how he spoke to her without Neither fear nor fear (as he remembered his parents) warmed his heart in a way that success in any of his goals gave him and he felt complete, comfortable.
"Dad, what's this guy's name again?" questioned the young woman, stopping before closing her black pen with an engraving of their respective initials and cherry blossoms on the black surface of the pen, a gift from her father in the form of a joke but that I love along with her digital tablet " I don't remember it at all and that sucks."
Tetta just smiled amused and reached from the shelf for the package of spices that her daughter was pointing at with her finger with perfectly made nails in a color that she remembers buying from you on one of her trips that was her favorite before throwing it into the shopping cart. He could only smile imperceptibly thinking that at his daughter's sixteen years he really thought outside the 'norm' according to your age, the same one that he had memories of listening to you complain at length with his circle of friends, all according to his wife as 'elders' but she was a part of all of them and her daughter.
"His name is Naoto Tachibana and he is your uncle on your mother's behalf" he answered pushing the cart with the figure of his daughter advancing next to him reading the small notebook in his hands analyzing the shopping list that his mother had given him before going to school so that when you left they could go shopping together, because in his wife's own words he didn't know how to shop. Tetta did not feel offended at all, he knew how to cook wonderfully but making specific purchases was a problem because according to his logic the more expensive was better when, sometimes it was not like that and he was not willing to make his mother go buy something again annoying "If I remember correctly, he had to complete a few years working in another region as a police officer before being in his current position"
[Name] just hummed in response not caring much about this specific guy's life, not when he saw her mom being disappointed in her when she always canceled on her birthdays, vacations and/or special occasions. It was only clearly interesting because he was in the branch that he wanted to take and study, just that and nothing more.
"It doesn't take away from the fact that it's still annoying, we won't go to dinner like we always do because of him" the young Kisaki muttered slightly indignant just as she caught the freshest vegetables in her hands and deposited them in the shopping cart, which suddenly little was filling up "Mom had already chosen our outfits to combine and go to dinner, it's certainly something unfair, don't you think so dad?"
The older Kisaki just sighed, he certainly felt annoyed about it because his reservation was given to his friend; Hanma Shuji and his wife, it was better than him being wasted. But Hinata was glad to finally be able to see him again, and it was what mattered more she would not lie to her daughter hiding her opinions or thoughts from her. She wanted to form a strong person who would not keep her opinions for the good of others, even hiding them from loved ones, and she had to lead by example.
"I would say that it is more annoying than unfair, those reservations although I can get them back is not the same and your mother is happy with this visit"
"It doesn't take away the annoying thing about this matter, dad"
“I know daughter, but you can ask him about the police academy and the process to go up in it, don't you think? She can even give you gun handling lessons later on.”
With annoyance [Name] I just say before putting the list in his pants pocket and going for the last one, it would be a new night but definitely not a good one.
The good thing in [Name]'s eyes was that her mom would cook and she cooked deliciously.
(…)
The day went by as normal except [Name] found herself stuck in the kitchen helping her mother cook her uncle's, father's, mother's and her favorites. But it was nice, everyone in the family cooked and spent time together. To then go to her room just two hours after her uncle got home and even though it was annoying, she just ruled it out since it was just someone who only heard stories about her mother and a certain lack of interest on the part of her father. So the little she knew about her left her completely adrift, and certainly disinterested in her simple existence, so once she was ready, she left her room making sure to leave her pajamas ready. Crossing the corridor with light steps with a better spirit, he greeted her parents who she saw through the double doors of her room from one side to the other looking for clothes or selecting objects from the dresser and both answered the greeting with a slightly tired smile.
Time passed very slowly that the firstborn of the Kisaki-Tachibana couple did not notice since she was extremely concentrated with her calligraphy practice on the special leaves.
Such was the abstraction of the young woman that she lost herself in the practice of it; slowly sliding the brush firmly and carefully over the special sheet, to the point that when I hear the bell ring I jump into place violently throwing black ink on the sheet and on her face, at the same time that I hear her father's request to open the door but not before seeing who it was. With a sigh and trying to relax, he stood up, tearing the pages from the special notebook, splashing more ink in the process, but he went to open it anyway, but not before standing on tiptoe to look through the peephole, catching the sight of a tall man in a suit and hair. man with a relaxed air standing at the entrance of the house. [Name] really felt confused upon seeing the man, and so she activated the microphone coupled with the doorbell, inhaling in anticipation before speaking firmly but softly.
"Good afternoon, who is it?"
Outside the Kisaki house was Naoto Tachibana who, ignorant of her niece, was waiting patiently for the door to be opened but a soft and firm voice emerged from the microphone, it was an almost hypnotic voice that dazzled her ears in an almost impossible way and it was captivating, but he didn't recognize her. She could remember a voice of such caliber and before she finally answered she caught a glimpse of the door being flung open by her sister; Hinata, behind him, stood a young woman with arms crossed and an innocent but dazzling look of hostility and distrust. But she still managed to look cute even with black spots in certain areas and she tried not to smile, she had a feeling that if she did, the young woman would be furious.
“Naoto! What a joy to see you after such a long time” she exclaimed full of happiness before urging him to enter the house pointing out the pair of slippers completely to be inside the house “We have to catch up, my husband is answering a call. [Name] please take care of him for a few minutes while I come back or your dad comes down”
Naoto observed how you affirmed your mother and perhaps he was guided by something that he really did not know he was feeling but that ran through him, and because she did not move, she only saw him with attentive eyes, but he only took the handkerchief out of his pocket and with He delicately cleaned the tip of the upturned nose of what he supposed was his niece.
"Is it normal for you to have paint stains?" Naoto questioned, amused, gently taking the minor's face, holding her chin between his index fingers and thumb, feeling the smooth and slightly cold skin on his fingertips to clean the paint or ink stains, striving to remove the stains, leaving a perfectly clean complexion “There you are perfect and clean”
With a pout [Name] she just quietly thanked her uncle and left for the kitchen when her father came down from her, feeling self-conscious and slightly embarrassed at the first meeting.
For Naoto, that meeting was extremely pleasant, although Kisaki didn't quite like him, he saw how he adored his niece and sister, so he behaved politely. But meeting her niece was a complete pleasure, learning about her and her hobbies, her tastes, and what he wanted to study.
Was nice.
━━━━━━ ꒦꒷♡꒷꒦ ━━━━━━
After the first meeting, Naoto began to be present in the life of her sister and her family. According to her own words, she had to make up for a lot of lost time with her first and only niece, which in one way or another made [Name] feel special. . So they both started going out together, taking short trips and sharing quality time and the Kisaki couple had time for themselves without neglecting her daughter.
It was a win-win.
[Name] as time went by she saw her uncle a little more deeply, far from the conception of annoyance or hostility, now it was nice to spend time with him, she felt special and unique when she was the center of his attention but she supposed it was to be expected. Everyone would feel special to be the center of someone's attention, right? All of her friends answered yes, that she was normal and her best friend even more so.
And the last nail that closed the coffin of his normality was at his seventeenth birthday party, his celebration was made especially by his uncle that covered a whole week that tied with a business trip of his parents, so it was like a ring to the finger. Clearly her parents didn't forget her birthday but it was a small and warm celebration (which [Name] adored with her soul) that her Uncle Naoto might not be able to attend, which made the young Kisaki completely infuriated with the same bad mood that vanished. in a matter of seconds when he received messages from his uncle explaining that he was preparing his gift and surprise for his birthday enlivened with some photos where [Name] could see his uncle's arms, the same arms that he found himself looking at too much; she could clearly see the veins highlighted in her skin and the lean muscles of her arms, the same arms that she could carry without any problem.
Everything was wonderful.
The gift he received was a complete tour of the police agency that was strangely slightly empty, the same for which only the two of them wandered around the entire place in which the young woman was curious, they asked more than a thousand questions to each person who she saw on her way dazzling those who conversed with her.
Everyone praised what a good guy Agent Tachibana was.
Naoto certainly enjoyed that surprise, just seeing his niece enchanted and fascinated by everything, questioning and being curious almost like a feline that had the prey of her taste imprinted on her eyes. The only thing that he didn't like was how a certain sector of the Agency paid more attention to her sweet niece, admiring her body for more than the necessary time, and that infuriated him. His little niece was someone who was aware of everything but was distracted and fascinated by the talk of someone from the agency's intelligence, so at that moment Naoto, without much mediating his actions, hugged her from behind, surrounding her shoulders with a hug. arm languidly feeling her shudder and the delicate ecstatic whisper.
Nobody suspected anything when more than half of the agents were fired.
That tour only further fueled [Name]'s desire to start in the police force and be like her uncle.
"I want to be like your uncle" the younger one squealed excitedly hugging the older Tachibana once they were in the underground parking lot of the agency "It's so cool and interesting, even the paperwork seems amazing to me"
Naoto could only smile at his niece's happiness, but feeling somewhat disturbed by the softness of her chest and how with those innocent and bright eyes they admired him from below, almost with genuine adoration and how her plump lips caught his attention so much, even more so with that sticky chocolate gloss.
The rest of the surprise was the stay in a five-star hotel on the outskirts in the middle of nature where her parents would meet them.
Little did Naoto know that this week would be her utter undoing.
━━━━━━ ꒦꒷♡꒷꒦ ━━━━━━
"Hold the weapon well" the older Tachibana instructed with a firm voice, standing right behind his niece.
[Name] breathed in and out carefully before steadying her right hand on the butt of the gun and her left hand for support, feeling her uncle's larger and more experienced pair of hands on her waist and hips next to her leg between her own. adjusting his posture.
"Well done my girl" praised the eldest before directing his hands towards his niece's firm grip on the weapon before only positioning them well and strongly inhaling her aroma so kind and sweet for her perfume, I blinked slowly and with a soft whisper spoke then "Now"
And as if that were an order, the minor repeatedly pulled the trigger, hitting every important area on the shooting range dummy, culminating with a shot to the head that earned her a hug from behind.
"You have done it perfectly" and said praise was enlivened with a delicate kiss on the one hundred of the minor.
Just a family member loving his family.
That had been your eighteenth birthday present, a shooting session with your uncle and your dad's gun, the same gun that Naoto blindsided because it had your initials engraved on it, which was just an emblem of what you were. heiress.
And you just slipped under your uncle's skin in a devious way.
━━━━━━ ꒦꒷♡꒷꒦ ━━━━━━
At nineteen [Name] had become, in Naoto's eyes, a simple and plain temptation; a well-formed body due to the arduous training she decided to undergo before entering the academy, coupled with the constant study of the disciplines that were required as a requirement, and she was beginning to show herself as a strong and independent woman.
It was a delight to her sore eyes.
He could still hear his brother-in-law's anger when he witnessed disrespect towards his eldest daughter, which he knew would bring serious consequences and perhaps he used the power he already had in his hands to ignore some other human loss, after all scum like that would only return reality the disgusting things they spit out and benefited the rest.
It was a tacit agreement between the entire corporation of her brother-in-law and hers.
Maybe that's why she was so defensive when she felt her dear niece hang on her arm so beautifully, how her breasts pressed against her arm and she behaved like a sweet bride on an outing. with her partner. Naoto pinched himself every time he thought that, he was inappropriate and taboo. But he couldn't help it she was perfect in her eyes her attractiveness of hers, elegant in the dazzling youthful radiance, playful, flirtatious and overly intelligent, she allowed no disrespect towards her person let alone none vexation of her
She was the woman of his dreams, the same woman who was also his niece.
Naoto had given fundamental importance to each birthday of his niece and spared no expense for her total enjoyment, did he want some craving at midnight? She didn't have to leave the house, he himself sent it to her, she wanted to go shopping for clothes but none of her friends could go with her? Not to mention the departure was scheduled, did she want to feel what it was like to hold a weapon in her pretty hands? He allowed it only if he was guiding his smooth and delicate hands in how to handle a weapon, was his sister limiting him and forbidding certain things? He talked to Hinata without problem manipulating to his liking and way to make her feel comfortable (he knew that his brother-in-law would do the same because as much as they both loved Hinata he had some archaic ideas), he wanted to talk to someone at midnight ? Through her cell phone, her number was always available to you and if he was there in person, he had no problem with going for her and taking him for a ride in the car, did he have any questions that he was embarrassed to ask someone else? He could answer it without fear. And he himself noticed his complete willingness to spend time with him.
"Does this dress suit me Naoto?"
And I loved how his name emerged from your lips, affectionate and flirtatious alike, always playing with him. Naoto really controlled himself well but seeing you in a beautiful dress that accentuated your figure and exposed one of your legs just stunned him in the best possible way.
"Is it a dress for your graduation sweetie?" questioned the older Tachibana adjusting his pants uncomfortably.
While the young Kisaki, with her gaze fixed on the mirror, moved looking for each angle to admire how the dress hugged her figure, observing out of the corner of her eye how Naoto adjusted his position as he sat on the sofa in the large fitting room where they met and at the same time accommodated his pants, were actions that he caught out of the corner of his eye that perhaps communicated to him that it was not just a merely one-sided attraction.
"Yep, I want to see from now to see the price-"
Before the younger one could finish, the older one approaches her with silent steps from behind, covering her smaller figure with his larger body, admiring her reflection and with careful hands adjusting the neckline properly over her breasts. Actions that made the minor blush because she could see the image of her voluptuous chest with rigid and hard nipples that were seen through the fabric thanks to the lack of a bra, all because of Naoto's larger hands that seemed to cover the entirety of her legs. her breasts.
"I'll buy it for you love" Naoto assured whispering into her niece's ear, savoring the sweet aroma of her perfume and her shampoo on her skin, everything about her smelled delicious.
She was the forbidden fruit that she wanted to devour.
"N-naoto it's not necessary and-I-"
Certainly the older man enjoyed making his niece nervous, it was a game of cat and mouse that he enjoyed in the best way. Although it was more like playing with a somewhat lazy cat for a while.
"I want to do it, you asked me to accompany you to the prom and the least I can do is consent to it, don't you think it's beautiful?"
Naoto admired how his sweet girl only nodded her head before hugging him to hide in his chest, and she couldn't ignore how nervously she moved her hips, highlighting her well-formed ass even more, she felt disgusting but that sensation subsided when she felt the [Name]'s warm breath against her neck and a timid kiss on her skin, I slowly savor the texture of her lipstick and the firmness of her grip.
"Thanks dude"
Just as the illusions rose they fell, being a few days away from the prom.
(…)
Naoto hadn't attended her own prom because she really didn't like social events but she would do it for her, even more so when she found out from her that her "friends" were planning to prank her and her friend so her Her mere presence had scared them away from the graduation ceremony where their precious girl looked her best.
And right now hours had passed since the ceremony, being now in the ballroom, it was more than obvious and expected that Tetta, being what she is, would reserve a private table for her eldest daughter and her only friend for what she was now at the table watching as the rest danced or made disfigurements (more than one made an uncomfortable face), the youngest was leaning on his shoulder with the slippers removed from his feet (he had them on his side) and you played with the thread that you managed to loosen from his suit, while his friend drank.
Time passed slowly to the point where some were already asleep.
Except for the friend of the younger Kisaki, who, being under the influence of alcohol, stopped to look at the scene in front of him; Her best friend was leaning against her uncle's side who absentmindedly played with the edge of her dress, they were both a sensational couple and in her eyes they both had feelings. In her drunken stupor I thought it safe to say, I was doing them a favor.
"They make such a cute couple!" the Hanma boy squealed excitedly smiling at the couple unaware of his best friend's panicked face "It's a relief that [Name] is also sooooo in love with you Naoto, he talks about you all the time and actually wants to work in the police like you for you. Even in art class, ta has drawn many times but she always stains your face with oil paints at the end…mooooo she's a great artist I see her being a forensic cartoonist"
Before Naoto could properly process the information suddenly received, she felt the warmth of her alien body leave and only saw a blur run out of the falco where they were. It all came out in a matter of seconds for the Hanma boy to be knocked unconscious by alcohol.
Seeing how the younger one came out without shoes, the older Tachibana picked up her slippers and left behind her. Naoto chased her for more than half an hour avoiding unfunny people and security guards (all from Tetta) until in the back garden she heard low sobs, almost dreamlike due to her low and almost angelic volume. She followed the sound until she saw you with your back sitting at one end of the bench, hugging your knees, apparently because of your hunched position. Her heart was destroyed as they left your soul in your tears so she silently sat on the other end of the bench leaving your heels in the middle.
"Do you think I'm filthy Uncle Naoto?" questioned the youngest barely managing to speak in the middle of her crying.
Naoto knew that it was a very vulnerable and delicate moment for both of them, because she couldn't lie to herself that her heart didn't beat wildly when she heard your feelings and she let go of that limit, what should happen would happen but it would never hurt you.
"So we're gross together don't you think?"
That simple sentence gradually stopped the crying of the minor who carefully weighed her next words.
"R-Right? You're not just being nice because of my feelings."
"That would mean hurting you and I would never dream of hurting you, it just happened" Naoto began, looking at the garden of the living room, some lights scattered across the grass giving the illusion of fireflies and he remembers taking a picture there, which is his new wallpaper "From a moment to moment you were the nicest person I could live with, you understood me when I didn't, you are understanding and kind. Little by little you slipped into my heart, I can't imagine not loving you [Name] but the decision and the one you take anyway I will love you, yes?"
And the warmth returned Naoto felt his niece lean on him while holding her hand tenderly, you felt the nerves leave his body.
"I want you to be with me, please. Live by your side every first time"
After that sentimental talk, they both began to talk more, to focus on both of them to the point that it was already midnight when a guard told them that it would take half an hour for the dance to end. [Name] helplessly pouted but appreciated the information and when she was ready to put on her heels Naoto was kneeling before her with the heels in one hand.
"I feel like a princess Naoto" the youngest said between giggles watching how Naoto adjusted her heels properly at home and got her dress ready "And do you know what it takes?"
"That-"
The youngest sealed her lips with those of the oldest, entrenching her hands in the other's neck. Naoto still on his knees felt the slightest hint of her niece's shy tongue and that was the beginning of the end of her, urging her to get closer to her, he held her against hers and kissed her for real; exploring her tender mouth with her tongue, and sullying her lips. Before separating and hiding his niece when he saw some boys go by.
"Let's go to the car love"
Neither of them knew how he had managed to get to the car, let alone drive, but they did; they were in an empty parking lot both in the car with the seats folded back. Naoto firmly held her girl's wide hips against her own, feeling part of the pants soaked in the lubrication and her squirts, she still savored on her tongue the clear sweet taste of her squirt directly in his mouth. she.
"N-naoto"
Just when she was about to get real fucking and not rubbing like animals, a cell phone rang. The older Tachibana fed up turned off the cell phone next to his girl's and threw them on the floor of the car to focus on the voluptuous breasts to suck and eat.
"It's only the beginning angel"
It took a few more minutes to get to her apartment, the light from the house projected an almost celestial halo over the skin of the minor, she looked like an angel in full sin; she was leaning against the kitchen counter with her back arched and a cock deep inside her her dress still crumpled at her waist. They had finally managed to get condoms and a better place.
"V-very sensitive N-naoto" the younger yelled trying to get her to leave her clit alone but she only received harder and firmer caresses "F-feels very good"
"I thought that was a lot for you?"
And the work continued, the younger felt her orgasm knotting in her body to go all over her and with the way Naoto fucked her, he only made her squirt and sob in need, they were just about to return but the older man's libido was greater .
Until they felt fully satisfied and although the minor will fix herself up as much as possible she still seemed disheveled and disheveled, but there was no other option and they had ignored more than ten calls.
The way back was full of tender and somewhat suggestive kisses, but they arrived just at dawn at the Kisaki house where, the moment the door was opened, Hinata wrapped her daughter in a hug asking about her well-being, if anything had happened. happened, if she had fun and because they arrived so disheveled but he pulled her towards the living room where they would talk about their night.
That left Naoto right in front of Tetta's judging gaze, who with her gaze swept him from top to bottom finding many signs of the obvious but he wasn't the saint to say anything.
"If you make her suffer, they will only find your head"…

Tumblr media
“Good morning, Jose, how are we feeling today?”
“Hey Doctor Kerner,” Jose sighed, moving on the bed, “I feel like I’m going to explode.”
The woman laughed as she sat on her stool, “Welcome to the late stages of pregnancy. My husband said I was the worst.”
“I think anyone around me would agree,” Jose couldn’t help but laugh, “My emotions are bad enough without adding in the fact I’m always uncomfortable.”
“Well, let’s take a look and see what little miss up to,” Doctor Kerner replied, grabbing a pair of gloves, “Have you had any contractions that you know of?”
“Nothing consistent or powerful. Maybe one or two in the last week?” Jose replied.
“Well you aren’t dilated and I’m not seeing any signs of your body getting ready for labor,” Doctor Kerner informed Jose, “I think this little girl is okay with staying for a little while.”
“Thank god, I’m not ready for her to be out here yet.”
“Is Lieutenant Bradshaw behaving? I can have a talk with his Captain, I know him very well,” The Doctor rolled away on her stool.
“I-How did you know about Bradley?” Jose questioned.
“Off the record now, but the women on this base talk a whole lot. Bradley Bradshaw was the catch of the base, until you came along. Not to mention my husband and his old wingmen gossip like teenage girls,” Doctor Kerner laughed, “I also have a soft spot for him, my husband and I knew his parents.”
“You knew Bradley’s parents?” Jose questioned, fully sitting up now, “He doesn’t talk about them a whole lot.”
“Goose and Carole,” She smiled softly, “My husband, Ron, went to the Academy with Goose, of course he was just plain Nick Bradshaw then. Carole and I became good friends over the years. Somehow the boys managed to be at Topgun at the same time. Ron was in the air the day Goose died. It wrecked him for a while. Wrecked all of them really, especially Maverick. I think that poor man still carries that day with him.”
“So your husband was a pilot too?”
“A backseater actually, like Goose, only Ron flew with Tom Kasanzky back in the day, better known as Iceman. After Goose, all of us did our best to be there for Carole and Bradley, no matter what. We lost touch when Bradley was in high school though, my Ron and sweet Carole got sick around the same time. Ron’s been gone nearly ten years now.”
“What was his callsign?”
“Slider,” She smiled at Jose, “Moral of the story, Bradley is a good boy…or man. He’s a good man, between him and Seresin, I think you and your baby are going to be well taken care of.”
“I’m not worried about that, more worried about how spoiled she’s going to be,” Jose remarked, “But thank you for the talk, I think I needed it. Jake and Bradley want to set me up with some girls so I have more than just them and Phoenix. They said I need a mom friend too.”
“I think that’s a great idea,” Doctor Kerner agreed, “That’s my full medical opinion. Now get out of here, you and baby Wilson are all clear.”
Later that night, Jose found herself in Bradley’s Bronco, headed towards his ‘Uncle’s’ place. Jose hadn’t met the great Pete Maverick Mitchell yet, but that was about to change. She was also going to officially  meet his girlfriend, Penny, who owned The Hard Deck, and her daughter Ameilia. Bradley smiled as he told her about the young girl, stating that he felt very much like a big brother towards her now.
Jose couldn’t help but be nervous, and it seemed like her baby seemed to feel that too. Because the littlest Wilson wouldn’t stop moving around and kicking. Jose grunted a bit as she shifted in her seat again, hoping to get into a more comfortable position, but the baby just kept kicking and punching at her.
“Is she moving a lot?” Bradley questioned once at a stoplight.
“God,” You groaned, “She won’t stop. I’m glad she’s moving, but she genuinely won’t quit.”
He laughed a little before putting a hand on her bump. In return the baby kicked right where his hand was. He smiled and moved it over a little, only for her to do the same exact thing. Anywhere he moved his hand, she would either kick or punch it. While Bradley was having a great time with this, Jose was grunting with every movement.
“You like playing that game with Bradley, don’t you?” You groaned, poking your stomach, “Maybe do it a little bit more gently. Mama is not the best punching bag.”
“Sorry,” Bradley was quick to say, pulling his hand back, “Forgot it isn’t comfortable for you.”
But Jose just reached for his hand and put it back on her stomach, letting her smile show, “I didn’t say I didn’t like you playing around with her. Just that she needed to kick and hit a little softer. I’m glad she’s responding to you.”
Bradley looked over and couldn’t help but smile at the woman next to him. Every time he thought he knew what she was going to do or say, she kept surprising him. She handled all of his far better than anyone could’ve imagined her to. It made his chest feel almost too small for his heart. For a second, he wondered if this is what his dad felt like towards his mom. He hoped that it was true, he hoped Goose felt a fraction of what Bradley felt for Jose and her daughter.
“If you want to go at any point, just let me know,” Bradley told her as he pulled in front of a small house, “They’ll understand, I promise.”
Jose nodded, squeezing his hand before reaching for her seatbelt buckle. She wasn’t sure about meeting three new people at once, but she trusted Bradley. She knew that he wouldn’t bring her to meet people that weren’t worth knowing. She had to trust that they would be just as great as Bradley.
He led her to the front door before knocking a couple of times. A middle aged woman with dark wavy hair answered the door, automatically pulling Bradley in for a hug before turning towards Jose. Her smile was warm and inviting as she got a good look at her.
“You must be the Jose we’ve heard so much about,” Penny then hugged Jose as tightly as she could without squishing her or the baby, “It’s so good to finally meet you honey. Come on in and sit down, I remember how uncomfortable I was on my feet when I was this far along.”
Jose blushed, “It’s awful really. I have a bowling ball attached to my stomach.”
“I‘ll get you some water,” Penny offered, “Pete! Amelia! They’re here.”
A man rounded the corner. He was shorter than Jose expected for a man of his legend, but seemed more than happy to see Bradley. He hugged him, patting his back several times, before turning towards Jose.
“I’m Pete, but almost everyone calls me Maverick,” He extended a hand, “It’s good to meet you Jose. Dinner should be ready soon.”
“Alright, let me get her settled, okay?” Bradley laughed, putting a hand on Jose’s back to lead her, “The munchkin has been really active and kicking the living shit out of her. Partially my fault.”
“Of course it’s your fault,” Another voice joked from the living room.
Bradley sighed, “Jose, meet Amelia, Amelia meet Jose,” Then he shot the young girl a look, “Play nice.”
She stuck out her tongue, “I’m always nice, birdbrain.”
Jose laughed, nudging Bradley with her elbow, “Huh, Birdbrain, I like that. Fits more than Rooster.”
“Hey! Birds can be smart,” he defended himself, helping her sit down.
“Sure they are,” Amelia snorted.
Bradley glanced around before flipping the younger girl off. She only laughed and returned the favor, narrowing her eyes at him. He told Jose that he was going to help Maverick with dinner, before disappearing out of the back door in search of the older man.
This left Jose alone with Amelia. The younger girl eyed her carefully, looking her up and down. Amelia leaned back into the sofa, stretching her arms out along the back with a sigh.
“So, you’re having a baby?”
“Uh,” Jose looked down at her stomach, almost wanting to laugh, “Yeah, a girl. She could come any day, really. But the plan is to keep her cooking a little while longer. At least another month.”
“I’ll babysit,” Amelia shrugged, “You know, if you need anyone. I’m good with kids. I babysit some of the little baby base rats.”
Jose smiled, “I’d like that. As long as your mom is okay with it.”
“I would love it,” Penny spoke up, “In fact, I insist that you let us watch after that baby every now and again. Seeing as you’re apart of this family now, whether you like it or not.”
Jose smiled. When was the last time that she really felt like she was a part of a family? Her mom sure as hell didn’t give her much of a family feel, not since it was just them and her mom was hardly there for her. Mrs. Seresin tried her best, but the relationship with her husband and some of the daughters made things difficult. Michael was her family once, but then he turned on her.
“I like that,” Jose admitted, “I don’t have much in the way of a family.”
Penny smiled almost sadly, “Well, you do now. And you’re welcome here anytime, with or without Bradley.”
“Thank you, I really appreciate that,” Jose replied honestly.
“And if you ever need any help with the baby, you can call me anytime. It’s been a while since I had Amelia,” Penny told her, “But I still remember a thing or two. It helps to have someone who’s been through it all before.”
Jose nodded, “I’ve been told. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your offer. I’ll take you up on it, I’m sure.”
“Good,” Penny smiled, “Now, let’s go eat. The boys should be finished with dinner.”
And just like that, Jose had more of a family than she ever had. Four people, aside from Jake, who genuinely seemed to care about her. SIx people, including Jake and Natasha, who genuinely wanted the best for her and her baby. And her baby. Her sweet little girl who would be joining the world sooner rather than later. Her daughter, all hers, hers to love and cherish, hers to protect. Though she was scared to death, Jose couldn’t wait to meet her.
She couldn’t wait to see what she would be like. What color her eyes and hair would be. Would she have dimples? Or freckles? Even if she looked like Michael, Jose would love her endlessly. Jose simply just couldn’t wait to meet and hold her little girl. And she certainly couldn’t wait to introduce her to her new little family.

so uhh. brocedes huh.
do they have any other lore?? AND OSCAR MET NICO BEFORE RIGHT if he’s known Lewis since he was five wait does it maths up? idk. brocedes haunts them forever. also did you mention jenson at all?? bc i can’t remember but to me lewis-nico-mark-jenson-seb comes as in 5 in 1 do not separate packages
Oooh, I had not considered Jenson. An oversight. I'll have to think about it.
Brocedes lore! (CW: discussion of death in childbirth)
Oscar never met Nico - note the dates of death in the fic were some fifteen years before the britcedes prequel, in which Oscar is sixteen. Oscar's known Lewis since he was five, so four years after Nico's death (about which Lewis has always been very tight-lipped).
So! They met as small children when their fathers were doing some diplomatic work together. They took an instant liking to one another and Keke and Anthony decided that the perfect solution was to marry them off when they came of age, sealing their alliance.
Lewis and Nico did not see each other too often during their childhoods, and went through a pattern of teenage "I don't want to marry him!" rebellion
But as soon as Nico was brought to England at 20, Lewis was completely besotted with him. Cue that scene in The Swan Princess where they spot each other grown for the first time, basically.
At this point Lewis is already the Duke of Brackley, as his father had passed of an illness shortly before.
By the time they were married, they were very much in love and people who knew the Duke had never seen him so happy. It was predicted that Lewis and Nico would have a long and happy life together and there would be lots of pups at Brackley.
They were mated a week after their wedding, and in the next heat after that Nico became pregnant. Everyone was very excited for them and it seemed the future of Brackley was secure.
Nico had a quite standard pregnancy, but in his last month started to become unwell.
Nico had been seeing the so-called "best accoucheur in England", who had brought his apprentice, a beta by the name of Sebastian. Both Sebastian and Lewis were uneasy about Nico's health as the birth approached, but the accoucheur believed all would be well.
Spoiler alert: all was not well.
Sebastian tried to step in to help, but the accoucheur prevented him, saying that nature would take its course.
King Christian had the man imprisoned for endangering lives needlessly afterwards.

Seeing some other users pop up who also have pots, and reading their past and current struggles has inspired me to write a little about my experience. (From what I remember anyway.)
Just in case, tw/cw pregnancy loss is mentioned.
My symptoms started right smack at 13. I had always been slightly heat sensitive but not enough to really think about it. Then I turned 13 and it was like I was burning constantly. But also, even when I was hot, my extremities would still sometimes be ice cold.
I fainted in the shower, daily. I almost always felt it coming beforehand. The sudden dizziness and weakness. It was my normal routine to feel that, lie down, black out, wake up, then resume my shower. (Usually 5-15 minute black outs)
I knew something was wrong, but I was a young teen. My thoughts were "too scared to address it" and "I'm just being a baby" and "What doctor is gonna believe a teenager these days". So I suffered through it.
It was horrible. My teen years were riddled with unnoticed tachycardic episodes brushed off as "you're out of shape" and "just push past it". Meanwhile i felt like i was dying.
I know teenagers biologically need more rest, but i was chronically fatigued and of course, "lazy teenager" label got thrown at me constantly. I tried to stay active, productive, but it got harder and harder. (Not knowing I also struggled bcuz of audhd but that subject is touched on in a previous post.)
When I really branched out into life and into the workplace at 18/19, it hit me that this wasn't going away. This wasn't a weird teenage thing i was experiencing.
I could work, but was significantly more exhausted than my coworkers and the only one ever to stop a lot, Cool down, rest. Drove managers nuts because "you're too young to be this way" was said to me constantly.
Through a few job changes in my early twenties it got harder and harder to work. Exhaustion. Overheating. Tachycardia. I fainted at work idk how many times during a really bad streak.
On top of pots brain fog, I'm audhd (which i didnt know until mid-late twenties) so my brain just doesn't brain for me and all I had going for me were labor jobs. That's all i had. That's all i knew i could do.... and i was slowly becoming unable to do that.
I didnt push to see a cardiologist until i got pregnant with my first child. I was terrified. That pregnancy exacerbated my pots and i thought that pregnancy was going to kill me. If it didnt, then giving birth would. My resting hr was regularly in the 140s/150s and i was fainting/near fainting all the time.
But i saw a dick of a cardiologist who nearly immediately dismissed me as a hysterical pregnant woman who just had anxiety. Even in our first consult appointment he was already very not hiding the fact that he wasn't taking my concerns seriously. Even after I told him these symptoms weren't just popping up during pregnancy. That it'd been most of my life. (In one ear out the other let me tell you)
I suffered horribly through that pregnancy not knowing i also had pots so my heartrate and blood pressure were bonkers whenever i went to appointments, not knowing that i only had high bp bcuz they'd check it after I'd sat down in the lobby, stood up, then immediately sat down in a room. Which as y'all know fucks hr/bp and all that without being pregnant. But we didn't know. And the only dr I'd seen, dismissed me.
I thankfully got through the pregnancy and all was well. My symptoms went back to pre-pregnancy intensity. Life, a loss in between, and another full pregnancy happened. This time my pots didn't overly act up. I only struggled bcuz that baby was a biggg one.
After recovering from my 2nd birth i thought for months about everything. My health. My life with my kids. How i was sick of not having answers. Sick of how that first dr treated me. So i told my primary all of this and she sent me to the same heart institute, but a different dr.
NOW THIS DR LET ME TELL YOU.
From the GETGO the vibe was different. He listened. Talked with/to me not AT me. Actually listened with the intention of listening and absorbing the information, not listening with the intent to say whatever he was already wanting to say and just waiting until i stopped talking (like the previous dr)
He took me seriously. After info dumping my 16 years of suffering he was already ready to get testing done and scheduled and i nearly cried when he left the room because HE LISTENED HE TOOK ME SERIOUSLY.
I had my testing done (tilt and breathing) and he saw me for the followup but they hadnt gotten the results back so he pushed the dept for the results and one hour after that appointment, he called me and said basically "yea you failed the test almost immediately and your results were consistent through the whole thing so I'm proceeding with the diagnosis of pots"
He explained the basic no cure but you can try xyz to help and you need to listen to your body when it's having symptoms dont ignore it to your detriment. All that.
I hung up. And cried all evening/night. Happy tears. Tears of relief. I got my answer. I was listened to. I actually got through it. But also tears of grief. For the girl who suffered. For the young woman who thought she was gonna die during pregnancy/birth.
I'd had (and still slip into sometimes) a harsh mindset of self hate for years. Why am i so lazy. Why am i so weak. Pathetic. Etc. It just spiralled all the time and pots + audhd is a shitty mix and to be approaching 30, with answers I've wanted and needed for half of my life.... I just... uff da! It's a lot.
I was diagnosed February of this year. So it's still kind of fresh for me. I'm still trying to find what works for me officially to navigate it. But I definitely am trying to give myself grace for all the years I thought everything was my fault. Or that I just wasnt trying hard enough.
I'm sure I've missed some things but my memory of my life is really patchy from audhd and trauma. But I think this covers the bulk of it and feels good to info dump about life when, for most of it, I bottled everything.

i tend to not want to essentialize hormones as like, 'estrogen makes you cry' and 'testosterone makes you Rage' (wrt medical transition), as opposed to like, 'people taking hrt have experienced xyz effects [and why is that?]', and i have a pet theory about that kind of sentiment which is that both are expressing basically the same thing: higher/more volatile emotions, because we forget—despite calling it "second puberty"—that teenagers are famously emotional. & it's not entirely because they're between the ages of 13 and 19, but bc their bodies are going thru significant hormonal changes. and just like menstruation/pregnancy/any other events that cause hormone fluctuations, puberty generally produces emotional shifts/mood swings/irritability etc.
i definitely think it could also be any combination of things like emotions that were repressed pre-transition (often for not being socially acceptable based on someone's legal sex/perceived gender) being able to come out as someone starts feeling more at home in their body, the trans person's own expectations of what emotions are "acceptable" to express (e.g. the way some transmascs on T position their rage as gender-affirming), hormones being known to cause emotional fluctuations, or hey, idk, there could be some essential biological feature of estrogen/testosterone that has more bearing than i think it does.
i'm just suspicious of putting too much emphasis on that aspect alone in part bc i did experience much higher levels of irritation/anger when starting T, that, if i hadn't known myself better, i might have attributed to T somehow Masculinizing my emotions.
what it did do was, for whatever reason, make my sensory issues way worse for about a year when i first started T, which had the effect of making me way more irritable. if i hadn't known i had sensory issues, i might not have been able to identify what was actually causing the increased irritability. and tbh i was afraid it would last forever, but i was/am going through puberty, and things fluctuate. after a while the increased sensitivity went away, and i'm not any more or less angry than i was before.
(also i think this could probably be compounded by the fact that people are more likely to talk about their transition experiences earlier on in their transition, potentially when their hormone levels are still in flux n therefore their experiences may not necessarily apply the same way (or at all) years down the line)

Oversharing on the Internet
Tagged by: @mistmarauder 🧡 (I can respond to these in a timely manner! Who knew? Though I always say waaaaay too much hence the readmore)
ONE: Are you named after anyone? My middle name was for my mum's great-nana I think? Maybe great-grandma and I only think great-nana because we only had a great-nana. But not my first name, no. But fun fact: My parents ONLY had one name for a girl. If my younger sibling had been born a girl they'd have been fuuuucked. (Also part of why I keep my name despite it being v much female-coded because like I earnt this. Also, like... it's my name. It fits me, thought I more often than not get confused seeing it written down because like that's my verbal name, Mayo is my written name.)
TWO: When was the last time you cried? Last week? Little sleep + stress of moving = lots of tears at random times.
THREE: Do you have kids? Nope! Don't have pets either. I wanna foster/adopt/support (probably older kids/teenagers) at some point but not for a few years and I absolutely do not want bio kids. Pregnancy freaks me the fuck out.
FOUR: Do you use sarcasm a lot? Fairly often? I can't even tell anymore tbh like I just talk, even I'm barely paying attention to what I'm saying half the time! Less so online I think (this is where people are like nah mate you do that here too) because it's definitely been misunderstood before - sometimes making me look very daft and I'm like I don't know you people well enough to say that that was what is called a joke
FIVE: What sports have you played/do you play? I never found one I liked apart from, like, bench-ball. The fact that there aren't (that I've found at least) casual places to play bench ball as an adult is a fucking travesty.
SIX: What's the first thing you notice about people? Their smile/laugh/sense of humour? I'm really bad with faces, but if someone laughs or makes a joke pretty soon after I meet them, I remember them a lot more easily. Online it's definitely like the quirks of their writing style.
SEVEN: What's your eye colour? Brown! Pretty dark brown too so like none of the "ooh it's got XYZ in it in the light" it has brown with hints of brown
EIGHT: Scary movies or happy endings? Happy endings - I am the biggest wimp with scary films. I was part of the "let's go hang in the kitchen with the leftover pizza/snacks" gang if horror films came on at a sleepover!
NINE: Any special talents? I'm not the biggest fan of cake, but by god will I make the best cake you've tasted. I can also do a good mix CD (less good at specific playlists because playlists it's just a big mess of great songs) and I can flick through to the right page in a book for a quote pretty easily - drove some people mad in English because people would be trying to find it for like five minutes and I'd just be like drrrrrrrr (idk how to write the noise for fanning through the pages) There!
TEN: Where were you born? At home, south of England (I'm very much Northern, being there for like two memories max one of which was falling asleep indoors doesn't count 😂). I can't remember if it was me or my older brother this happened for, but my mum went into labour in the middle of the night and woke my dad up and was like "The baby is coming" and my dear father went "If you still think so in half an hour, wake me up again" and rolled back over. Needless to say, he was not, in fact, allowed to go back to sleep. He also hates that story so we tell it as often as possible 😇
ELEVEN: What are your hobbies? Uhh I watch a lot of TV? 😂 I need to get more hobbies that get me outside tbh. But I podfic, I knit sometimes when I'm watching stuff and I play games when I watch stuff, I cook a lot, I bake, I like long walks on the beach actually I like reasonable length walks by rivers/green areas or along the promenade if I'm at the beach because sand (Anakin Skywalker was right and he should say it).
TWELVE: Do you have any pets? Nope! Just moved, but I used to help look after my friends' dog every so often - she's a black cockapoo called Luna and I love her dearly but she also made me realise if I do get a dog, I don't want a puppy. They are a lot of work. Which makes sense because they are literally baby
THIRTEEN: How tall are you? 5'7", please don't ask me for the metric - I haven't had to be measured in a while so I only know it in imperial. I wanna say like 167cm maybe? Does that sound right???
FOURTEEN: Favourite subject in school? English (Language over Lit) or French 100%. I always say that my optional GCSEs were all basically an extension of my skills in English (AKA bullshitting): Religious Studies (taught tbh as Christianity + a few other examples), French, Spanish (both still bullshitting just in another language), and Drama (absolutely bullshitting and also in my case scaring the shit out of an examiner because the plate smashed into lots of pieces that flew everywhere rather than just a few in a controlled space like it had in rehearsal)
FIFTEEN: Dream job? God I miss working in a cafe/events. But they don't pay the bills as well! Also like I would ideally want to do my current job 3 days a week and a manual job 2 but like without having to work lots of extra hours to keep on top of both, yk?
Tagging: @glaftwlet @emryses @snapshotmaestro @idyllic-idioms @alloverthegaf and idk anyone else who wants to do it! Brain empty can't remember usernames

Tumblr media
It had been raining heavily when it happened. The harsh sound of a wood door slamming shut in front of a seventeen year old girl. She had just been thrown out of her house by her parents since she had committed a unforgivable sin in their eyes. She was being shunned, punished.
So there, she knelt in a puddle of rainwater outside her parents’ house. She replayed the events of the night in her head, remembering the looks of disappointment and utter disgust on her parents faces when she confessed. She begged her father as he dragged her towards the front door before throwing her out into the rain and slamming the door in her face. They had no daughter, not anymore at least.
In slight shock and disbelief, Y/n simply sat there for a couple minutes. She cried to herself because she honestly didn’t know what she was going to do or where she was going to go tonight. After some time, she rose to her feet and began walking wherever her feet took her.
She walked against the harsh winds and the cold rain, trudging through beside everything that just happened. She hugged her arms close to her for warmth and she kept her head hung low so water didn’t get into her eyes. She didn’t carry any of her belongings because she didn’t have any with her. She only had the clothes on her back which were now soaked to the skin.
It was dark outside, probably around ten o’clock at night. At the given moment, Eddie was making himself a little late night snack. He opened the bag of popcorn and proceeded to dumb its contents into a large bowl. His uncle was situated on the couch, flipping through channels on the television. He grumbled something about nothing good being on.
All of the sudden, there was a knock on the front door of their trailer. Both of their heads turned towards the door. They hadn’t been expecting anyone, not at this hour and not in this storm. Nevertheless, Eddie went across the room and pulled the door open. There, standing in front of him, was his girlfriend.
“Y/N?” Eddie asked.
He quickly took note of her state. Her clothes were absolutely drenched, sticking to her skin. Her hair stuck to her face, but it had been brushed away a few times so she could see where she was going. The skin under her eyes was red and puffy because she had been crying for so long. And the tip of her nose was pink from crying too. She said nothing.
“What are you doing here? It’s late and it’s pouring--” Eddie wondered. He was quickly cut off when she took a step forward and wrapped her arms around him in a desperate hug.
Just then, the tears came back. She squeezed her eyes shut tight in attempts to keep them from falling, but it was no use. Her body racked with sobs. She cried ever so softly and quietly.
“Hey. Hey,” Eddie tried to reassure her. “It’s okay. I’m right here.”
Without hesitation, Eddie ushered her inside his warm and cozy trailer. He closed the door behind him. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder in hopes of bringing her some sense of comfort.
In a second, Uncle Wayne had returned from the hallway with a brand new towel in his hands. He handed it to her. His face laced with a strong look of concern for her.
In response, Y/n quietly thanked him for the towel. She wrapped the towel around her shoulders, shivering softly. This helped dry her off a bit and gave her some warmth.
“C-Could I stay here for a while? My parents--,” Y/n almost couldn’t bring herself to say. “They kicked me out.”
“Yeah. Of course. You can stay in my room,” Eddie nodded his head. He figured it would be best not to ask questions about what happened right now. She was clearly distraught and she probably just needed some time.
Now, there was only one bedroom in the trailer. Out of the kindness of Wayne’s heart, he let his nephew have the room to himself. He slept on a folding cot in the living room. The system worked. Neither of them complained about it.
Eddie was changing the sheets on his bed since he hadn’t done that it the longest time and since he had a guest staying. While Eddie gathered the gross mess of dirty sheets in his hands, Y/n had shuffled to stand by his bedside table. She timidly grabbed the small opened box of condoms laying there.
Naturally, Eddie lifted his head to look at her. He saw that she was holding his box of condoms. His facial expression dropped in sudden realization. Hesitantly, Y/n lowered the box of condoms back onto the side table. She turned her head to look at him with tears streaming in her eyes. Everything was communicated so clearly with that one look in her eyes.
“Are you--” Eddie questioned. He took a step forward. He pointed to her. “Did I--” Eddie couldn’t speak.
Without saying anything to confirm or deny the accusation, Y/n went to wrap her arms around her stomach as if she were trying to hide the fact. She could feel the tears streaming down the sides of her face. She was so overcome with emotions.
After some time, Y/n had dried off. She changed into some spare clothes that Eddie had given her to borrow. She crawled into bed with the hopes of falling asleep and waking up from this terrible nightmare. Thankfully, Eddie was there to help her fall asleep. He simply brushed her hair down with his fingers and that seemed to lull her to sleep.
Once Y/n was sleeping, Eddie quietly exited his bedroom and closed the door behind him. He shuffled back into the living room. He found his uncle rearranging the living room, settling up another bed on the ground for his nephew. Upon hearing his approach, Uncle Wayne turned around to face his nephew. He looked at him expectingly.
“I—I got her pregnant,” Eddie choked. He had a build up of tears in the corners of his eyes, threatening to fall at any given moment.
“Oh Eddie,” Uncle Wayne said softly. He looked at his nephew with such sympathy in his eyes. He wasn’t going to yell at him or scold him like his father would have.
Instead, Uncle Wayne brought his nephew over to the couch in the living room. He helped him sit down with a single hand on his back for support. He didn’t want to ask any questions. He didn’t want to overwhelm him, because he probably was feeling an overwhelming sense of various emotions. So he sat quietly and waited for his nephew to talk to him.
Out of instinct, Eddie rubbed his hand over his face. He kept his hand over his mouth, reveling in the news that was just broken to him. He swallowed the heavy lump lingering at the back of his throat. He began to panic a little.
“I-I just don't understand,” Eddie began. He raised his hand in defense. “I mean, we were so careful every time. W-We used protection,” Eddie claimed.
His uncle only nodded his head understandingly. He had always been the more quiet type, more of a listener than a talker. He turned his head and looked into the distance. His nephew breathed a long sigh.
“You’ll get through this,” Uncle Wayne encouraged. He went to look at his nephew sitting beside him. He sent him a weak smile. “Both of you will,” Uncle Wayne added.
“I’m not ready to be a father,” Eddie shook his head.
“Most people aren't,” Uncle Wayne shrugged his shoulders. “But you will be when the time comes,” Uncle Wayne concluded.
That night, Eddie couldn’t seem to fall asleep. It wasn’t because he wasn’t sleeping in his own bed. It was more because he couldn’t stop thinking. The questions of “how did this happen” or “what are we going to do” kept coming up. And he couldn’t answer them.
Now, Y/n told him that she found out just earlier that day after having stolen a handful of pregnancy tests from the nearby gas station. She brought one of the pregnancy tests to show him for even more proof. And sure enough, there were two little pink lines on it.
For some reason, Eddie kept hearing the sounds of a newborn crying. He didn’t know how to take care of a baby. He'd never even held one before! Whether he liked it or not, he was going to have a newborn baby to take care of and provide for a couple months.
In that moment, Eddie decided that he was going to do everything in his power to make sure his girlfriend was cared for during the pregnancy. He was choosing to be there for her. He was going to provide her with all of her needs, whether that be food cravings or much needed back massages.
Even after the baby was born, Eddie was determined to pull his own weight. He thought about how he could take the night shifts and feed the baby a bottle. He'd figure out how to change a diaper. He wondered if there was a parenting book in the library that he could check out. No matter what, Eddie was going to take care of her and the baby.
During the early stages of the first trimester, Y/n had the worst case of morning sickness. Almost every morning, she was woken up by the sudden urge to throw up. She’d have to race to the bathroom just to yank open the toilet seat. Her stomach would contract violently as heaps of throw up came out of her mouth.
Despite the fact that it was around five or six in the morning, Eddie would always come in to hold her hair behind her head. He’d stand over her hunched figure sitting on the ground. Her hair was collected in a tight grip at the back of her head so she never had to worry about loose strands falling into her face. Sometimes, Eddie found himself rubbing her back in a reassuring manner and whisper encouraging words to her. He was in there every morning with her.
Over the next couple weeks, the word had finally spread around town. A large majority of the towns people were disgusted by the news, secretly calling her ‘a whore’ behind her back. And saying things like ‘that’s what she gets for sleeping around’ despite the fact that she had only slept with her boyfriend. And they didn’t blame her parents for throwing her out on the streets, thinking that she deserved it and maybe she’d learn her lesson.
Then there was a small minority of people who just felt pity for her. This group main consisted of the community who lived in the trailer park. They had heard that she had been thrown out by her parents. They felt bad for her. She was just a kid anyways.
The worst part was the high school. She had stopped coming to school since her parents refused to pay the monthly school bill. Now this only sparked rumors in the hallways. The vast majority of students figured that she had gotten pregnant, though they didn’t know by whom. This became such a talked about scandal that the principal had to address it at one of the school assemblies.
Whenever Eddie and Y/n would go out, it was inevitable that they were going to receive stares from people passing. Especially from women who were always trying to see if she was starting to show yet. Eddie always handed her one of his jackets and she used this to conceal her growing stomach from the world.
One day, there was a knock on the front door. At the given moment, Eddie was working on his campaign in his bedroom and Uncle Wayne was working. So Y/n went to open the door. She figured it was just one of the neighbors coming to stop by.
But when she opened the door, she was surprised to see Mrs Wheeler and Mrs Mayfield standing in front of her. They both wore the biggest and brightest smiles on their faces. And they each carried a large box full of miscellaneous things.
Behind Mrs Mayfield was her own daughter named Max. She had just started her first year of high school and it was their first year living in the trailer park themselves. In contrast, Mrs Wheeler came from the middle class suburbs. She had her own large white cookie cutter house, lined with perfectly trimmed hedges. It felt like such an odd thing, seeing those two women together considered their very different backgrounds.
“Mrs Wheeler,” Y/n acknowledged because she knew her daughter Nancy from school. “Mrs Mayfield,” Y/n added.
For a second, Y/n really didn’t know what to do. She looked between the two women, wondering what they could possibly want from her. She shifted her weight onto one side and just stood there awkwardly. Then she cleared her throat.
“Is there something I can do for you?” Y/n wondered. She quickly wrapped her sweater around her evident baby bump because she felt so self-conscious about it.
“We have some things for you,” Mrs Mayfield said. She gestured to the large cardboard box in her hands. “And for your baby,” Mrs Mayfield included with a gentle smile.
“M-My baby?” Y/n questioned.
“Yeah. Just a couple things that we collected from when we had little ones of our own,” Mrs Wheeler replied. She glanced at the other woman standing beside her.
“Mainly just clothing and toys,” Mrs Mayfield nodded her head.
"Of course,” Y/n was brought back. She placed her hand on her forehead. “Come on it,” she said while moving out of the way and opening the door a little further.
Together, Mrs Wheeler and Mrs Mayfield placed the two large boxes on the coffee table in the center of the living room. Then the two of them proceeded to sit down on the couch. They opened the boxes and started taking some of the contents out.
So Mrs Mayfield pulled out a couple newborn onesies. She claimed that Max was born much too big for the clothes she had so they weren’t even used yet. The only unfortunate thing was that she only had one daughter so there weren't any boy themed clothes. But Y/n claimed that it was fine and she was most grateful for them anyways.
Now Mrs Wheeler had much more baby clothes on her. Since she had two daughters and one son of her own, she brought a whole variety of options since they wouldn’t know the gender until the baby was born. She was even so kind as to give her a newborn and toddler car seat, stating that Holly had just grown out of her’s.
Then came the baby toys. With the help of all three Wheeler kids, they had assembled a small pile of old toys that they didn’t necessarily play with anymore. Nancy had decided to give away some of her stuffed animals, thinking she was a little too old to have those now. Mike gave away some of his little action figures, toy trains, and automobiles. And Holly wanted to give the new baby her old rattle, some building blocks, and pop up books.
All the while, Y/n was marveling at the adorable little toys and trinkets. She let her fingers graze over a few of them, realizing how blessed she was to receive these. Then she held up a little onesie to view, which only made the smile grow on her face. She thanked them for their generosity.
On the sidelines, Max was sitting on the floor next to the coffee table. She kept stealing glances towards the older teenage girl. She saw the baby bump peeking out from behind her sweater.
“Do you think you’ll have a boy or a girl?” Max wondered curiously. She kept a blank face, but she was beaming with genuine curiosity.
“I-I don’t know. I haven’t really thought about it,” Y/n confessed with a shrug of the shoulders. She folded some baby clothes in her lap, setting them off to the side. “Eddie and I-- we are both an only child,” Y/n explained.
“Have you thought of names yet?” Max mentioned. She felt the smile growing at the corners of her lips.
“No,” Y/n smiled back. “No, we haven't.”
That night, Eddie came into his bedroom carrying two bowls of ice cream. He sat down on the bed and went to lean against the headboard next to his girlfriend. He placed her the bowl of ice cream on top of her round stomach and it stayed there perfectly. He began eating his own bowl of ice cream.
“We really should come up with names, Eddie.” Y/n said. She discarded an empty notebook that she had been holding for the longest time. She had been trying to think of good names to write down.
“Here,” Eddie said as he placed his bowl on the bedside table. He proceeded to pick up the notebook and pencil. “I got a couple names in mind,” Eddie confessed.
He quickly scribbled down a short list of names on the piece of paper. Afterwards, Eddie handed her the notebook for her to read. He grabbed his bowl of ice cream so he could keep eating it. He stuffed a spoonful in his mouth.
“Really?” Y/n looked at him. “Ozzy is your first pick?” Y/n said with a slight scoff.
“It’s a good name! It’s different. It’s unique,” Eddie was honestly trying to make a case for this option. He really just liked Black Sabbath.
“I don’t think so,” Y/n chuckled softly. She looked back down at the list. “John is a good one. But did you only pick that name because of John Lennon?” Y/n wondered.
“Uh, just look at the next one,” Eddie tried to avoid answering the question. He pointed to the notebook in her hands.
“Kirk,” Y/n read. “What? Like Kirk Hammett from Metallica?”
“I was hoping to get away with these,” Eddie let out a loud sigh of defeat and had a smile growing on his face.
“I know you too well,” Y/n shrugged her shoulders. She noticed something on the list. “You don’t have any girl names listed here,” Y/n acknowledged.
“I couldn’t think of any,” Eddie confessed.
“Watch us have a girl,” Y/n snorted.
“Would that be so bad?” Eddie asked with a hint of seriousness in his tone of voice. He looked at her with such sincerity in his eyes. “Is any of this so bad? Us having a baby?” Eddie added.
“At first, I think I was scared.” Y/n confessed. She thought about her next words carefully, knowing that Eddie was depending on them. “But things have gotten better. I feel...happy and I am excited to meet our little one soon,” Y/n said with a small smile on her face.
With that, Y/n placed her hand on top of her bulging stomach. She rubbed her hand over it a couple times in a reassuring and comforting manner. All of the sudden, Eddie placed his hand over hers. His thumb brushed against the back of her hand.
A broad smile grew at the corners of his lips. He leaned forward to press a single kiss to the center of her forehead. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder, holding her close to his side. He used his other hand to rub her stomach. He smiled at the thought of his baby being right there and eventually getting to meet him/her in short due time.
“Me too,” Eddie spoke softly.
Now, several months had passed along in the pregnancy. Everything seemed to be in order for the baby’s arrival. The doctors claimed that the baby was healthy, suggesting that he or she could arrive any day now. Despite everything, Eddie was more anxious and nervous for when the time would come. He spent most of his days fretting over his girlfriend, checking on her every couple of minutes to make sure she was okay.
One night, Y/n was tossing and turning in her sleep for many hours. She wasn’t able to get into a comfortable position and she was having minor contractions. She began to realize that they were growing a lot stronger and a lot closer together.
Carefully, she hoisted herself into a sitting position on the bed. She went to tap on Eddie’s arm in hopes of coaxing him awake. All of the sudden, Y/n felt another contraction coming. She hissed at the tight feeling, squeezing her eyes shut and clutching onto her stomach. She couldn’t take the pain any more.
“Eddie,” Y/n said breathlessly as the contraction began to subside. “Eddie, I need you to wake up.”
“What’s wrong?” Eddie asked sluggishly. He rolled over to face her, trying to burrow his face back into the pillow so he could get some sleep.
“I-I don’t know what’s happening,” Y/n confessed. She began to breathe heavily to herself. “I think the baby is coming,” Y/n replied.
Upon hearing this, Eddie’s eyes snapped open suddenly. He went straight into panic mode. He jumped out of their shared bed, hurrying around the room to find some spare clothes. He quickly grabbed his car keys off the side table.
In the background, Y/n had shifted to sit over the side of the bed. Her hands clutched at the bed sheets as another contraction struck her like a ton of bricks. She had never experienced pain like this before.
All of the sudden, Eddie knelt down in front of her. He was holding her favorite pair of shoes in his hands. He carefully slipped each shoe onto her foot before helping her stand to her feet. He walked her towards the front of the trailer with one hand secured behind her back. He closed the door behind him before heading straight towards his van. Then the two of them drove to the hospital.
After nearly eighteen hours of labor, the two young teenagers became parents to a beautiful baby girl. She was quite small, later weighing at only five pounds and some odd ounces. It also wasn’t surprising that she came out with a head full of hair, curtesy of her father.
The newborn baby had released a loud cry of protest. She was quickly cleaned by the doctor because she was covered in this white substance and a little blood. They wrapped her in a soft blanket before handing the baby to the new mother.
With some hesitation, Y/n took the bundled baby into her arms. She held her close to her chest, not really sure what else to do. She brought one of her hands up to hold the back of the baby’s head because she remembered that newborns can’t support their own head. She tried to soothe the baby by whispering soft hushes.
Naturally, with a mother’s touch, the baby seemed to quiet down in her arms. She quickly found that she had forgotten all the pains and aches she had to endure in order to birth her daughter. She was so caught up in the moment that nothing else seemed to matter anymore.
On the sidelines, Eddie was looking down at the little pink baby with a blank expression on his face. He honestly didn't know what to think or feel in that moment. He stood there frozen for a couple seconds until he felt a few small droplets of tears running down his face. He didn’t know how long he had been holding them in for.
Those were some of the most genuine tears he had ever cried before. He felt an overwhelming surge of utter joy and happiness. His heart began to swell in his chest and was threatening to burst at any second. His lips tugged into the biggest smile ever.
In a shy and timid manner, Eddie shuffled forward in his place until he was standing right beside the bed. He leaned down a little so he could get a closer look at the newborn.
The newborn baby’s head was burrowing into the crook of her mother’s neck. The warmth of her body must have felt so comforting to the baby. She had fallen asleep, breathing the occasional snuffles of sound.
Hesitantly, Eddie reached forward to stroke the top of the baby’s head and brushed some of her hair. Then his finger moved to touch the swell of her cheek. He watched the way the baby leaned into his touch. And he smiled down at her.
“She’s so soft,” Eddie commented. He proceeded to touch her little feet, which were poking out of the blanket now. He really couldn’t contain his smile. “So tiny,” Eddie added.
“She’s perfect,” Y/n said breathlessly since she was still trying to recover from just giving birth. She released a long sigh. She felt the sudden weight of sleep threatening to take hold of her at any moment.
“You should rest,” Eddie suggested. “I’ll take care of her.”
As if on cue, Eddie brought his hands forward to take his daughter into his grasp. He held one hand underneath her head and the other behind her back to support her. He handled her very cautiously and carefully at first because he was afraid she might break. She was just so little and light.
When Eddie lifted his head to look at his girlfriend, he found that she was already fast asleep. He quickly directed his attention back towards the sleeping infant in his arms. He bounced her gently in order to soothe her.
He slipped his finger into her grasp, watching the way her fingers curled around his single one. He didn’t realize how small she was. Most of his hand covered her backside and her head was still too small to fit in the palm of his other hand. He spent so much time admiring all her little details from the mess of hair on her head to her tiny fingernails. His favorite part was her little pink nose though.
As Eddie sat in one of the chairs in the hospital room, he cradled his newborn daughter close to his chest. He was staring down at her, simply watching how peacefully she slept. For a brief second, Eddie could have sworn that he had seen the baby smile up at him which only had him smile back. He had never seen anything more pure and precious than that. And he absolutely couldn’t wait until she did it again.
WHAT’S HER NAME GONNA BE???

|| masterlist || kofi || whumptober ||
It wasn’t very often that Mav had a day during the week off, but since he was currently on thin ice with his new admiral, he was given the day off. Y/N was at school, so the house was unusually quiet for him. He was used to hearing her talk on the phone with one of her friends, or her playing music, or her tv on.
Maverick wasn’t used to having the whole day to do nothing by himself, so he decided to finally tackle the growing to-do list for his house. They had lived at this house for over ten years, and Maverick did what he could to keep up on repairs. Only thing was. . .Maverick was a pilot, not a repair man. The repairs only lasted for so long until they were broken again. It was one of the things his ex-wife, Jamie, complained about. That Maverick had too much pride to call an actual repairman.
“Fix the overhead fan in Y/N’s bathroom,” Maverick mumbled to himself reading the list, “Didn’t I just fix that?”
He grabbed his tools and headed towards his daughter’s room. He cursed her slightly, seeing the mess in her room. He wasn’t ever too hard on her about keeping a clean house like his dad was, but he told her that the mess stays in her room. Maverick stepped into her bathroom, and looked up at the ceiling where the fan was. He placed his hands on his hips as he inspected in, flipping the switch and hearing a loud clanking sound.
“That didn’t happen before,” Maverick winced and turned the fan off. He looked around the bathroom, seeing what he could find to possibly use to step up on to reach the cover of the fan, when he spotted something. He furrowed his eyebrows as he stepped towards the trashcan in the corner. His jaw dropped, and he felt his heart race. He quickly left the bathroom, leaving his tools right where they were, and went for his car.
There was one person in this world who knew Maverick better than himself, and that was Tom Kazansky. Even though he lived on the other side of the country, Maverick and Ice still kept in touch, sending texts almost every day and calling at least once a week (sometimes more if Maverick got himself in trouble). Maverick had learned to trust Iceman after their first mission in 1986, and Ice had become Maverick’s closest confidant. When Jamie left Maverick about ten years ago, and he was left to be a single parent, it was Ice that he called first. And right now, it was the same thing. Maverick sat on a park bench and dialed his number, waiting for the line to pick up.
“Don’t tell me you got yourself grounded again,” Tom’s voice sounded through the receiver.
“No, not this time,” Maverick said with a laugh, “How are things?”
“Good, kids are good, wife is happy. Now I know you didn’t call to talk about me. What’s up?”
“It’s Y/N.”
“She sneaked out again? I told you, kids do that-”
“I think she’s pregnant,” Maverick said, cutting him off, “I was going to fix something in her bathroom, and I saw the box in her trash.”
“Oh,” Ice said, “You talk to her?”
“I’m not even sure how to,” Maverick scratched the back of his neck, “They don’t really cover this topic in flight school.”
“No,” Tom laughed, “They don’t. I guess all you can do right now is ask her. She’s probably scared, and that would make sense why she didn’t say anything. You can’t jump to conclusions right now.”
“I just. . . I thought she would come to me with this sort of thing. I didn’t think she would be sneaking around and not telling me if there was something wrong.”
“Pete, there is no one in the world that girl trusts more than you. . . well maybe Bradley, but that’s different. She’s probably scared you will be mad at her. She’s not even out of high school yet, and her life is possibly going to change forever. She needs you now more than ever. So you can’t keep fucking up.”
“When did this become an intervention?”
“Pete. . . “
“Sorry.”
Tom sighed, and shifted in his desk chair. His blue eyes glanced at the picture of his wingman and his daughter. The little girl looked up at her dad with those same green eyes as him, “She’s all you got. Jamie ran off, you keep being sent to BFE for doing stupid shit. No wonder she hasn’t come to you about this. She’s spent more time alone in the past three years than she has in her entire life. You need to stop this reckless bullshit, and be there.”
Maverick looked down at his shoes and sighed. Ice was right. Maverick had been proving that he was still the same Pete Mitchell from 1986, who was the reckless flyboy. Maverick knew the only reason why he was still stateside and not overseas is because of Ice. And he knew that Y/N probably knew that too.
“Talk to her,” Ice said, “And be nice about it. Especially when she tells you who the father is.”
“Why would I get mad about that?”
“Cause I have a feeling it’s someone we both know,” Ice said, and then looked at the picture of a young Bradley Bradshaw and Y/N Mitchell, both with braces on their teeth, side by side on the front steps of the Naval Academy, “I gotta go. I’ll leave my phone on in case Y/N calls for help to bail you out of jail.”
“It was one time,” Maverick rolled his eyes. He said goodbye to Ice and hung up.
— — —
Y/N was a bit shocked to see her dad’s care in the driveway when she got home from school. Usually Maverick didn’t make an appearance until closer to dinner time. She noticed that the garage door was also up, meaning he probably attempted to fix something, and Y/N would have to either call a repairman or Bradley to come help fix it.
“Dad! I’m home!” Y/N called out as she walked through the door. She kicked off her shoes and set her bag by the steps. She walked into the kitchen, and jumped at the sight of her father sitting at the table, picking at his hands, “Hey. . .”
“Hey,” Maverick said, “Take a seat.”
“Are you leaving again?” Y/N said, her voice restricting as she tried to fight back tears.
“No, sweetheart,” Maverick said, hating that look in her eye. It was the same look her mother gave him when he would tell her that he was being deployed again. He had seen it a couple times in Y/N’s eyes and he hated it, “Please, sit. We need to talk.” Y/N nodded and took a seat across from him. Maverick let out a sigh as he sat back in his chair, and rubbed his sweaty hands on his jeans. He thought back to his conversation with Ice earlier.
“Okay, what is going on, cause you are starting to-”
“Are you pregnant?”
“What?” Y/N said, feeling her heartbeat in her throat.
“I saw the pregnancy test in the trash.”
“You went through my room!?”
“That’s what you’re concerned about right now?” Maverick said, “At least next time hide the evidence a little bit better. But you didn’t answer the question.”
Y/N clenched her jaw, and turned her head, not trying to let her dad see the tears in her eyes. She hated these types of conversations. She had them with Maverick before, when she got caught sneaking out, when she stole from the liquor cabinet, when she colored on the walls as a child.
“Y/N,” Mav said softly and she turned her head to face him.
“I’m sorry,” She gasped out and Maverick moved from his spot to wrap her in a hug. Y/N let out a sob as her father wrapped her up in his arms. He rubbed her back as she cried in his arms. He hated seeing her cry, it was one of the worst things a parent would have to go through.
“It’s okay,” Maverick said, “I’m not mad. I am more upset that you didn’t come to me about this.”
Y/N pulled away from her dad, and wiped her eyes, “I didn’t know what to do. I still don’t know what to do.”
“Well,” Maverick took a deep breath, as he sat back in his chair, and tried to remember all the reading he did about twenty minutes before Y/N came home, “First thing is, have you been to a doctor?”
“Just the free clinic on base,” Y/N mumbled, and fiddled with the sleeves of her jacket, “I might’ve used the fact that I know the commander of the pacific fleet as leverage for them to not call you.”
Maverick rolled his eyes, “Well, first thing tomorrow morning, we’ll get you set up with a doctor. I can ask some of my co-workers for recommendations.”
“I already asked Lieutenant Mills for a list.”
“Christine knows?”
“I had to tell someone! I didn’t know what to do. Swore her to secrecy.”
“Proud of you for using your resources, but I should’ve known. . . third? I guess,” Maverick chuckled, “Okay so, doctor, tomorrow. And then. . . we go from there. You graduate in a couple months, and then-”
“I deferred my acceptance to U.V.A. Going to community college for the first two years.”
“What about the father? Does he know?”
And that was the second conversation Y/N was trying to avoid. She wanted to hold out on having the conversations about the pregnancy and paternity of her child until her and Bradley had a chance to actually talk through what they were going to tell Maverick. Bradley promised that he would be there with her when she told Maverick, wanting to sort of act like a buffer in case things went sideways.
“Yeah uh. . .it’s-”
“Y/N!” Y/N closed her eyes at the sound of the one voice she didn’t want to hear right now. Maverick looked at her wide eyes as the front door shut and foot steps approached them, “I got your text about studying for the chem exam. You didn’t text me back so I didn’t know. . . when you. . .I’m interrupting something,” Bradley said as he walked into the Mitchell kitchen.
Y/N looked up slowly at her father, giving him a tight lipped smile. Maverick looked between the two of them, closing his eyes and letting out a scoff.
“At least its Bradley, and not some bum,” Maverick said, pinching the bridge of his nose, “You plan on sticking around?”
“More than you ever have,” Bradley said, and Y/N looked up at him with a glare, “Sorry. But yeah, I do. This is my kid too, I plan on being there. I’m not going to the academy anymore, so she’ll have me close by.”
Maverick felt the sting of Bradley’s words as he spoke, “Alright. I’ll let you guys get to studying. But, first thing tomorrow-”
“Doctor, got it,” Y/N said, reiterating her father’s words. Maverick nodded and kissed his daughter’s forehead before retreating down the hall to his office. Y/N waited a moment until she heard the door to his office shut, before smacking Bradley’s across the arm.
“Ow! What was that for?!”
“For walking into my house uninvited,” She then hit him again.
“Ow! What was that one for!?””
“And that was for bringing up him pulling your papers,” And then, she hit him once again.
“OW! WHAT WAS THAT ONE FOR?!”.”
“That was for getting me pregnant,” Y/N giggled and Bradley rolled his eyes. He brought her in for a hug, and kissed the top of her forehead. They still hadn’t talked much about that night, and neither one knew how to bring it up. For all they knew, they were still just friends. . . having a baby.
“Well, the hard part is over now,” Bradley smiled, and pulled away from her.
“Yeah. . . hard part,” Y/N said, and sighed, sitting back down in her chair as she watched Bradley go through her fridge looking for food.
Maverick sat down in his office chair with a sigh, as he looked at the family picture on his desk. It was of Y/N, Bradley, Carole, Goose and himself, days before Goose’s death. Jamie didn’t want to make the trip to California to see Maverick during TOPGUN. But Carole, being the saint that she was, made the trip with two toddlers so that Y/N could see her dad. Little did they know, that was the last picture they would ever take together.
“I wonder what you would say, Goose,” Maverick whispered to the picture, “Our kids having a baby together. I owe you both twenty bucks. Never thought it’d happen.”
He looked from the picture down to his hands as a tear fell from his eye. Maverick had felt guilty about what he did to Bradley, pulling his papers and making him have to choose a different plan for his career. But, it made sense now that Bradley was going to be a father. He had hoped that maybe Bradley could see where Maverick was coming from, trying to keep Bradley alive long enough to see the birth of his child.

An ask that came privately so just in case...
Note: English is not my language, so I hope you will be understanding of any flaws you find.
I tried n*s*f*w but nothing came out *shame on me* TToTT Maybe another time.
Tumblr media
I suspect the baby will be Bruce's because he calls dibs, being the alpha of the mansion and all that shit. 1000% sure they will have black hair XD.
It would surely be planned, as a way to tie yourself emotionally to them. Which is more or less confirmed by the fact that when you fled you lovingly raised the child, who unfortunately they couldn't manipulate to use against you.
The whole family would be delighted at the prospect of having a baby in the house, although as the baby got to this it more or less bothered some of them likes Jason and Damian actually. Half of the plans to kill the JL and many others would be half underway and the protections at full capacity for your safety.
They would actually be more careful on their patrols, they would follow stricter shifts and not all being out at the same time not to let you alone. In the end someone outside of the batfam would notice.
Your moods during pregnancy, which wouldn't be too good, are reflected in them, as the criminals of Gotham will quickly notice. Rumors on the internet that the Wayne are going to have or adopt a baby have spread like powder because, heck how many gynecology books these people suddenly read. Every part of your pregnancy was known better for them than for you (and you were the woman, damnit), between that and the money, you obviously never went to a formal medical appointment.
So, that you managed to escape after all the batfam found out that you were pregnant must have been divine grace + planetary alignment + unicorn blood + 20 years of age & 40 years of previous experience in a job + all the wizards of the world in your favor and go to know what else, a nice Joker maybe. ... let's say it was the Joker, for him gladly fucking the Bats. I can see it and so they took so long to find them.
I think at the reunion Reader would have a nervous breakdown. it was too unexpected. After 15 years of tranquility with her loved and happy kid... but you know, you never really have peace of mind in situations like this, it's a weight, an always tight noose in your throat with which you just learn to breathe despite. You can tell yourself it's not there and believe it for years... but it's there.
This because I bet that any teenager-wanna-be-hero would try not to worry theirs never-completely-healed-in-trauma mother by not telling her that maybe their not very well mind centered family could have discovered them and therefore her... Think about that. A kid, a young one who if hadn't told been told him anything by their mother, or if they hadn't asked idk would have lived in blissful ignorance and with a normal childhood. A kid who tries to help people, who chooses do it because yes. A child who knows that they weren't wanted but that still they are loved spite of everything, with that and their genes, they must be a great promise. The boy's tragic backstory begins on his 15th birthday and the first chapter is called Blame.

i also experienced childhood sexual abuse and was raped a bunch of times throughout my teenage years. i can relate to that aspect but knowing you went through childhood pregnancy is making me hurt for you so bad. idk you but i have tears in my eyes, im so sorry that happened. im sending you love ❤
I'm so sorry that you experienced that. No one deserves to be abused or assaulted. Thank you for being here. Being seen helps me, and I hope that it's beneficial to you, too.

I love your smut fics so what would happen if after a lot of... you know having fun there are some unexpected consequences *you know what I mean*
Tumblr media
Thank you anon🥺💖I’m glad you like them! I freak out a little when I post them! Here are some HCs of accidental baby acquisition:
I’m a sucker for them being oblivious idiots and stumbling into a full blown relationship. So at the beginning perhaps they haven’t defined the terms of whatever’s going on between them. Sure they fool around, but they haven’t spoken about it being *exclusive*. (Levi decides he’s monogamous, can’t deal with too many strings, so it’s just Hanji. But he knows Hanji lives by her own terms).
And when Hanji thinks oh fuck I might actually be pregnant, she bursts into his room and just- “LEVI! I’m pregnant!” She’s serious so he knows it’s not a joke and his face is- well he’s mortified. But he also sits her down and there’s silence and he asks “is it... Well not that it matters but... Is it mine?” And Hanji tells him of course it’s his because she hasn’t, well, hasn’t been with anyone else since. And Levi gets on one knee and promises Hanji he’ll stick around, raise the baby with her if she doesn’t mind. And she’s like “get up fool! Of course I don’t mind! I have no idea how to keep things clean!”
They go see Erwin.
Erwin fucking chews both their heads off. Like proper “I’m disappointed in the both of you. You’re adults acting like a bunch of teenagers.” And Hanji shoots back with a “but you’re always telling us to let loose and live a little!” And Erwin, at this point very exasperated, just throws his hands in the air, “I told you two to go on dates and make out not to fucking conceive a goddamn child!”
But it’s mostly performative anger because the next day there’s a huge hamper by Hanji’s door. It’s a basket full of fruit, chocolates, whisky (for Levi), two handmade dolls (courtesy of Nanaba), a pistol from Mike “idk what babies need” Zacharius, and a book on military history (“it has some pictures”) from Erwin “when I was five I was reading on the history of the walls” Smith. Levi decided none of them (with the exception of Nanaba and Moblit) can come near his kid.
Levi goes into full anxious dad mode. Poor bb is very anxious. Because he’s had such a rough childhood and Kenny raised him like a mutt and killing titans is one thing but raising a child? But Hanji tells him everything is gonna be okay “hey... We’re gonna struggle, that’s for sure... It’s gonna be one heck of a ride... But we have each other!” And Levi is so afraid of hurting Hanji that he refrains from really touching her. Until one day she’s like “c’mere!!” Grabs his hand and places it on her belly. “See! It’s okay! Baby’s the size of a bean now...” and from then he just takes every opportunity to touch her belly.
Fucking TALKS TO HER BELLY when he thinks Hanji is asleep. “Hey... It’s uh... Me again... Your dad...”
Hanji really tests Levi because she’s always up and about and even late in her pregnancy she’s waddling around conducting experiments and he’s like for the love of god Hanji please. Until Erwin had enough of seeing her tote her belly around and just places her on compulsory leave because it’s giving him anxiety.
The kids catch on pretty quick. And it becomes a whole group activity to try and figure out who the dad is. Many bets were placed on Moblit, some on Erwin, some on a mysterious husband back home. Until they start realising Captain Levi shadowing Squad Leader Hanji, following her everywhere, he doesn’t let her lift a finger. And it hits them. No way. “Yes way...” Hanji says one day when she overhears their discussion. “You’re right, Jean! We went at it a little too carelessly and Levi knocked me up! Which reminds me...” and she just launches into a whole thing about safe sex what not.
Jean thinks it’s not worth it being right. He just. Never wants to have this conversation or hear the words “went at it” and “Levi” in the same sentence ever again.
Hanji’s late night pantry raid (accompanied by Levi with his eye bags ofc). They always stumble upon Sasha and the two of them make the most disgusting meals. Levi steps in to cook because frankly, he’s done watching them suck at it.
That’s all I have fur now💖💖💖 plugging my smut fic here in case anyone wants to read💖💖💖
