asking to place lipstick marks on 'it'
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
seventeen x reader 18+, nsfw, svt down bad warnings: suggestive content, love making wc: 1.0k author's notes: such a CRAZYY thought to have, so i decided to do it :) but i cant believe it took me this long to finish writing this (read: uni is kicking my ass). anyways, wouldn't say i'm very satisfied with it, but i really hope you guys like it!! also, special thanks to @simpxxstan for giving me ideas for a few members
Tumblr media
➼ choi seungcheol
very interested in the idea. would get so excited for this. would ask if he can select the shade of lipstick and runs to your dressing table when you agree. but most likely would end up buying a new set of lipsticks because the shade he wants 'is not there' (it's an excuse for him to buy you a new set). by the time you're able to finish your mission, you're over three rounds and he's a sweaty, moaning mess. neither of you sleep that night.
➼ yoon jeonghan
would become so smug when you suggest it?? like full on smirk on his face and just goes, "if you wanted me to fuck you, you could have just said that." but will eventually agree when he sees your boba eyes and gets excited seeing your excitement. will probably squirm and whimper because of the sensations at first, but the sex later on is crazy.
➼ hong jisoo
confused eyes. looks so adorable you end up smushing his face and kissing his lips in fondness. man is actually so clueless at first, but then ever more confused when he realizes what you meant. becomes beet red until you promise him it's just for fun and not necessary until he's okay with it, hearing which he quickly agrees cause if you're gonna have fun, why would he not indulge you? would become so adorably shy when he sees the result. makes you cum with just his fingers and mouth as thank you.
➼ moon junhui
mindblown by your idea. becomes so excited; it's like a child waiting for candy. so endeared by you that he ends up making you smooch all over his face. then he starts kissing all over your face. the lipstick marks meant for his dick end up on your faces, but neither of you could be happier than at this moment. slowly turns into a gentle love making session.
➼ kwon soonyoung
you ask him in a very usual way, but it's only after he accepts that you realize this is a great opportunity to tease him. asks if he can record it (because he's very amused by this idea) and searches for the perfect lighting and angle while you prepare. thinks he's so prepared for it, but starts shaking and pleading the moment you start kitty licking his tip. by the time you're finished, he's panting and wanting for more.
➼ jeon wonwoo
you ask him while he was gaming; he leaves the game so fast you wonder what went wrong. but then he goes and picks up a random shade of lipstick and pulls you in between his knees as he manspreads on his gaming chair. holds your hair as you work on him. hours later, the lipstick and your clothes lie forgotten by the bed.
➼ lee jihoon
wants this whole event to occur in his studio. literally agrees when you offer to come to the studio for it. he'd be acting so nonchalant but you can clearly hear his heart racing in his chest and his ears going red. also likely to voice record the whole thing with your consent to use as 'inspiration' later (will use it to get off during desperate times).
➼ lee seokmin
another one who'd get red. very shy. "woah where do you even get ideas like these?" as he goes wide-eyed and still manspreads on the couch to invite you in. goes weak in his knees when he sees you make eye contact with him as you look up from between his knees wearing a shade he considers sexy. you have to abort the mission because he ends up pushing your face few many times.
➼ kim mingyu
GIGGLY MESS. you don't understand what he's been giggling about ever since you proposed the idea, but you're currently down on your knees in front of his naked body and he just cant stop giggling??? when you ask him about it though, he says he's way too endeared by this whole task and wants you to kiss every inch of his body. so, an hour or so later, you're panting, straddling a happy mingyu who's entire body is covered with lipstick stains. time to make a new folder in your gallery.
➼ xu minghao
lowkey becomes concerned about you. he already suspected you were upto something when you approached him with a cheeky smile, but he never thought it'd be this... wild? almost instantly rejects until he sees you get down and look at him with such hopeful eyes that he cant resist. still finds it weird as you mark him, but gladly indulges you. takes photos of it (without you knowing,,, or so he thinks) because you are the artist, and he ends up liking the art a little too much.
➼ boo seungkwan
lowkey judges you first, before highkey agreeing to it. it's one of the "how dare you make stupid decisions and do them without me" moments. judgmental most of the time: "is that the shade you're choosing? it doesnt look good on my skin tone," "the lip shapes arent perfect, pucker them a little more," etc etc. after lots of advice and nagging, you finally finish the job. you get up with a satisfied smirk as you look at his pretty pink cock and his spent form.
➼ chwe vernon
deeply contemplates it. quickly nods when you say, "it's for the art" and asks for some time. leaves. comes back saying "okay, let's do it." when you ask him where he went, he goes "i had to be clean and ready." waits for you to prep for it, but almost cums then and there when he sees you naked, wearing only his favourite shade of lipstick. by the time you could finish the task, he's lost all his marbles and begs you to ride him. finishes with his cum painting your chest and stomach.
➼ lee chan
turns red as a tomato. one moment you suggest the idea, the next he has to physically pull his head outta the gutter because his thoughts escalated into something else. and no matter how hard he tries to deny that he was indeed having very mature thoughts, the blush creeping to his cheeks screams the truth. asks somewhere in between if he can mark your chest with his lipstick marks, and honestly? who are you to resist? by the end of the night, he's spent and at your mercy and you havent yet completed the task.

i'm still tempted to make a meta-ish post about emmrich's romance with a grey warden rook because it's honestly been so fulfilling and everything i wanted from the game.
from emmrich being excited to meet a rook from such a venerated order - and one who has been to the anderfels no less, to learning that little emmrich admired the statues of warden heroes and daydreaming about griffons in flight. a timid child, growing up on those heroic stories.
to emmrich being absolutely horrified about learning what being a warden entails, how both davrin and rook suffer at weisshaupt, so close to an archdemon. how wardens die like any other.
to emmrich being even more shocked to learn that becoming a warden hero has a price. they have to give their life to slay an archdemon.
to emmrich being infatuated that a brave grey warden, facing down darkspawn in the distant anderfels, would be interested in him.
to emmrich bringing up the calling in his romance, how he fears for them dying, even though he firmly believes he will still go before them.
a grey warden rook, who has seen so much worse things than what others in the lighthouse startle at when they meet emmrich and get to know his and nevarra's customs.
and a grey warden rook, who fears death, who fears the calling, but finds comfort in emmrich's beliefs, in how he views the journey of the soul and death.

「 ᝰ.ᐟ entry 07: COLLAB STREAM ⭑.ᐟ 」
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Hello, guys! How are you all doing today?” you greeted your fans with a bright smile, adjusting the mic as your avatar waves at the screen.
The chat exploded with messages, colorful usernames scrolling past.
"Glad to see you're all doing well! I'm doing pretty good, too," you said with a laugh.
“Scaramouche will be joining the stream in a few minutes, so please behave and be nice, okay?” You giggled, knowing full well that chaos will be inevitable once he shows up.
chaelvskumi: what are we playing today, kumi? :D
“We’re playing Twin Realms today! It’s Hoyoverse’s newest game—super hyped about it!” Your voice practically bubbled with excitement as you adjusted the game screen on stream.
Before you could continue, a familiar voice cut through the light-hearted atmosphere.
“Are you always this loud, or is it just a special treat for me?” Scaramouche’s sarcastic tone made you freeze for a moment. He had entered the stream.
“Oh, you’re here already,” you deadpanned, turning toward his avatar on the screen—a smirking, cocky character that fits him so well.
“No shit, you let me in,” he replied flatly.
The chat erupted with lmao and omg it’s starting already as the banter kicked off.
“Shut up, Scara,” you shot back
“No thanks,” he said, the smugness in his voice palpable.
You sighed dramatically, “Chat, why did I agree to this collab again? Remind me, please.”
teapotenthusiast: Because you love us suffering.
kuniixfan: lol suffer
zuhakiss: this is a bad idea 😭
scara4ever: scara please marry me
“See? Even chat knows this was a bad idea,” you muttered, switching tabs to load the game.
Scaramouche hummed in mock agreement. “Bad idea for you, maybe. For me? Free entertainment. Watching you struggle is the highlight of my week.”
“Oh, you’re gonna regret saying that when I beat you in every realm today,” you shot back with a smirk.
“As if,” he scoffed. “Let’s see how long you last before rage-quitting.”
“Oh, it’s on.”
The game loaded, its dramatic opening music filling the stream, accompanied by stunning visuals. Aether and Lumine appeared as the starter characters, standing side by side in a glowing field of starlight.
“Wah! It’s Aether and Lumine!” you exclaimed, leaning closer to the screen. “They’re finally together after all that drama, huh?”
“It feels... weird,” Scaramouche replied, his tone more thoughtful than usual. “Seeing them together like this. We only ever get one twin while playing genshin.”
Chat buzzed with excitement.
onittobuto: justice for the twins!!
aetheriswife: hoyoverse finally giving us what we deserve 🗣️‼️
st4rryoi: they look so pretty!
“Well, it’s about time,” you said, cutting through the chatter. “I hope they stay together for the whole game—none of that tragic separation stuff.”
You refocused on the screen. “Hey, come here. I think we need to stand on this platform together to trigger the cutscene.”
“Tch, so demanding,” he grumbled, but his character moved begrudgingly toward yours.
“Oh, shut up and stand still,” you shot back
The two avatars stood side by side on the glowing platform. A dazzling beam of light engulfed them, and the screen began to fade, signaling the start of an cutscene.
Tumblr media
sorayaz: are you ever gonna stream not faceless, kumi? :3
You chuckled nervously, glancing at the chat. “Honestly, I don’t know yet. I still feel a bit anxious about streaming with my face, so... yeah, I’m not sure.”
“How about you, Scara?” you asked, turning the question on him. “Are you ever gonna do a face reveal?”
“I don’t know,” he replied casually. “But I probably will at some point. Still, I don’t really care about that. They should watch me for my gameplay, not my face.”
scaraswife: ithought you’d quit streaming after showing that... face of yours 💀 how are you still going lol?
You froze for a moment, unsure how to respond. “Oh... uhm—”
“If you don’t have anything nice to say,” Scaramouche cut in sharply, his tone colder than usual, “exit this fucking stream. You’re embarrassing me.”
The chat fell silent for a few seconds before erupting:
chaelvskumi: you tell them, scara
kumiluvr: who the hell was that? can someone ban them
beigguangsolos: LMAO THAT’S WHAT YOU GET 💀
saetoru: dw kumi, they're js insecure bc you're pretty
“Anyway,” Scaramouche continued, brushing the comment off like it never happened, “if anyone else feels the need to act stupid, save us both the time and leave now.” You bit back a laugh, shaking your head. “Well, that’s one way to handle it.”
“What? I’m not wrong,” he said

synopsis:
IN WHICH—you, although faceless, are a very famous streamer known as KUMI. you were streaming as usual, playing games and interacting with fans. but when you're about to exit the stream, you accidentally pressed the wrong button that led to you opening your cam and showing your whole face to your audience. this wasn't supposed to happen, no ! so you panicked and quickly ended the stream. numerous screenshots circulated on twitter, which broke both the fans and the internet. this reached a certain someone, SCARAMOUCHE, your rival in streaming. when the said boy saw the trending photo, he almost fell off his gaming chair. because—lo and behold! KUMI was actually [name]?! now who is this [name] in his life, if you may ask? she's the girl that scaramouche has been admiring from afar in real life! quite shocking, right? have i told you that he’s also been sending you anonymous love letters? oh well...

averyjameson headcannons •。ꪆৎ ˚⋅
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n : i'm backkk did you miss me?? after games untold i've been needing more of them so why not just do it yourself? anyway, tell me if you want to be added or removed from the tag list!
tags : @your-mommy-ems @arqbella @reminiscentreader @x-liv25-jamieswife @inmyheaddd
@alwaysthefangirl @clarissaweasley-10 @off-to-the-r4ces @annamatix @lyrakanefanatic
@123letsgobestie @hathorneheiress @midiosaamor
avery isn't (usually) the jealous type but jameson definitely is so anytime any guy she doesn't know talks to her he makes sure that he's always there just in case
not in a political way (it's definitely political) but they watched the election results together and raged the whole time
we all know that jameson's love language is touch but it also means that he does NOT care where they are, he's always kissing her and hugging her
he's always also holding her hands and fidgeting with them
they do the wordle together and always guess it together in like 3 tries because they have ultimate smarts when they're together
he thinks that she's the prettiest cutest person ever so he's always taking candid photos of her just reading or doing random stuff because he thinks she just looks so pretty
on the opposite side of things she's also always telling him how pretty she thinks he is
speaking of the photos, he's her personal photographer and takes all of the GOOD photos of her too
they're super good at getting gifts for each other so they're always trying to "out-gift" each other for their birthdays or the holidays
she always plays with his hair or gives him head scratches while he's falling asleep on her
he insists on always tying her shoes for her
this has been said so many times but avery has a bunch of nervous habits like tugging at her hair, picking at her nails or her lips so even if they're arguing he'll grab her hands just so she won't
when they start sleeping in his room he lets her add her own touch to his room and changing it to how she likes it
one of her favorite quality's about him is his smile and his laugh
one of their favorite things to go into those photo booths that you see in the mall so every time they see one they have to do it until they have a collection of them
he always watches her while she gets ready
he likes surprising her with vip concert tickets for all of her favorite artists
he's always getting himself hurt, not particularly big injuries but things like cuts and bruises and occasionally more but avery HATES it
jameson thinks it's adorable whenever they get invited to movie premiers and events and avery gets excited seeing all of the important people that she's "seen on tv" even though she's on tv all of the time
he watches all of her interviews and gets happy whenever she talks about him or there's a question about him

A list of things that bother me about Dragon Age: The Veilguard Part 2
I already touched on a few things that caught my attention and personally irked me about the game. After getting through some more of it naturally a few more points have come up. Though I think they are not really new aspects but more concrete examples of what I had touched on last time.
Without further ado, let's get into it.
!Spoilers below the cut!
The dialogue is repetetive and at times contradictory
Like I already discussed last time the dialogue is bad, to express it in the simplest of terms. As I progressed through the game I stumbled upon a glaring example for what I mean.
In the questline where you infiltrate a Venatori meeting there is a part where Neve in disguise and in company of Rook and another companion gets a Venatori to admit that Elgar'nan was present but not Ghilan'nain. For some inexplicable reason Neve turns around and repeats this twice as if Rook wasn't present.
But moving on.
I stated in my last post that the game feels the need to state the obvious. This is what I mean. It makes the dialogue feel like a rough draft that was incorporated into the game without further polish.
As of its contradictory nature two examples come to mind.
In Harding's companion quest you meet this dwarf of Kal Sharok. His dialogue is stoic, no bullshit straight to the point and passionless. Which was fine. But after several minutes of him being that way they get to stone statue Valta who speaks in these misteryous riddles and suddenly he switches to this unserious tone of "Oh that weird statue, we never know what she's saying, ain't she funny." (I'm paraphrasing here). I was confused for half a minute because of his sudden change in attitude and left wondering what his characterization is supposed to be now: serious or quirky?
Same thing with Taash's whole story. This is especially upsetting because I feel like they could have done such great work with it.
Instead it suffers so much from several inconsistencies that I felt sorry for the VA because they actually did a great acting job.
Taash has a coming out scene with their mother where they reveal they're non-binary. Ignoring the usage of modern terms in a medieval-ish setting, the conflict about their gender makes no sense.
The writing wants you to believe Shathann is not okay with her child being non-binary but she never actually expresses such a thing. Actually Shathann sort of had an inkling that Taash was no ordinary woman ("Behaves more like a man...") and she never passed any negative judgement on it. When Taash told her this she even tried to understand by categorizing their identity into qunari vocabulary she knew (remember the term aqun-athlok?).
I get how hard it is to have an overly critical mother and the feeling of not being good enough but that was not what Shathann was about in that scene and it did Taash so dirty because they looked more like an entitled teenager than someone suffering from trauma and perfectionism.
Some old characters are mischaracterized
It's Scout Harding. I mean Harding.
I was really excited to have her as a companion in the new installment but they sort of butchered her character that I found myself annoyed everytime she opened her mouth.
And this is because they make her sound so immature. Really think about it. DATV somehow makes Scout Harding sound younger and more childish than she was in DAI despite the fact that she is supposed to be a whole decade older in DATV than in DAI.
I don't know what direction her VA recieved while recording but everything was pronounced so slowly and extra clear that it seemed at times that Harding was either talking to a confused elderly person or a child.
She herself uses expressions not fit for her age. The most jarring moment was when she called the Blight in D'meta's Crossing 'weird' and sounded like a teenager who has stumbled upon furry art for the first time on deviantArt. This pattern pretty much continues throughout the game. And it hurts so much.
Also Morrigan. She at least still uses her even for DA setting standards antiquated vocabulary but she is too happy and cheery and friendly.
Morrigan is not a nice person to those she does not know and like personally. But to Rook she was so nice despite having met them for the first time.
The Morrigan we have come to know love/hate should have been more snarky or at least more neutral in her demeanor.
The Venatori
I don't know why they are still a thing honestly. I was under the impression they have lost all footing after the death of Corypheus. Why would they follow the Gods of the people their country systemically abuses anyway?
Bonus: Why would the Antaam for that matter, as the qunari are so notoriously arcanophobic that they leash their mages, sew their mouths shut and literally call them "dangerous thing"?
Solas' spy network and agents
What happened to them? Where are they? Shouldn't he have a small army? Why weren't they used as the gods' agents instead of the Venatori? Surely, Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain would have an easier time simply controlling Fen'Harels elven army after imprisoning him in the fade.
The Chantry
It is just not present. Sure there are some Chantry buildings but there is no discussion of faith. In all previous DA games the Chantry has had a constant influence that could be felt everywhere. Faith was discussed and explored from various angles and perspectives, ranging from ultra conservative to progressive. But in Veilguard it's not there.
Why are we not exploring the Tevinter Chantry more? Why doesn't Emmrich discuss the nevarran Chantry, who follows the Sunburst Throne in Orlais, in regards to the Mournwatch, their necromancy practices and magic? Why was he not affected by the mage uprising that started in Kirkwall? How does he deal with faith and the Chantry? It is simply never mentioned.
By all accounts, this game avoids delving into the world like the plague.

❝INHERITANCE❞|part1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
MASTERLIST -`✮´- Marriage of Convenience; JJ Maybank x Kook!Reader
Summary: The rebellious child of a noble family, the last hope, the one meant to carry on the family name. Your grandfather’s health was failing, and though you were expected to inherit everything, he had pulled away from you completely. Now, there was only one condition for you to receive his inheritance; to get your life in order, stop coming home late at night, give up drinking, and, of course his last wish—a marriage.
Warnings: kind of daddy issues, mentioning losing parent
selly's note: I'm so excited!!! hope you like it💗💗💗

Parties had always been intriguing. For some, they were an escape from life; for others, a lifestyle. They were places where you’d run into everyone you knew or didn’t know. You always hoped they’d play good music, and when you walked in, you loved that moment when most eyes turned your way. Feeling their gazes, being the center of attention, being talked about—that was power. You couldn’t live without attention. Sure, everyone enjoys a little of it, but you craved it every moment.
You loved dancing wildly, drinking, and letting loose at parties. It was one of those rare times you’d truly disconnect from everything. Laughing crazily with your friends, getting close with a guy—it thrilled you. It was as if the world were ending and you were going out with a bang. Live fast, die young, right?
You were meant to live each day like it was your last. You were here to enjoy life, and you had no intention of stopping—because you wouldn’t stop. Today could be your last day.
It wasn’t just a behavior; it was a way of life.
And you were in love with it.
The future could wait; you had more important things to do now—like being young.
You loved the label of “party monster.” Even while listening to The Weeknd, you couldn’t help but imagine yourself in the scene. You didn’t think you could live without partying—not at this point.
Most people didn’t matter much to you. Usually, you enjoyed drinking and hanging out with people your own age, soaking in the party vibes, watching people cannonball into pools, the beer pong games, seeing everyone try to drink from kegs. You loved being young.
No lie, you loved everything that came with youth—guys, the fun, the parties, sex, the yacht parties…
Even if you didn’t always prefer getting drunk, your body wasn’t exactly used to it. Strong drinks got you tipsy fast. Most times, you ended up having friends drop you off at home, or you’d wake up at some guy’s place you’d hooked up with. It didn’t matter. You never felt ashamed of one-night stands. Sex was just a part of life. And though you didn’t always like sneaking out quietly, you still did it.
Sticking around and getting emotional wasn’t your style. You hated the “What are we now?” question. You’d rather jump off a cliff than hear it.
Sometimes, though, you’d wake up at home, only to face your dad’s and grandfather’s disapproving stares. Most mornings, you’d stumble down to breakfast looking like a mess. Even after washing your face, your mascara and eyeliner would still smudge, the headache hitting hard—you looked fucked, no doubt.
But you were just a young girl who partied.
You might come home late, drink, be out most of the week, and practically treat the house like a hotel, but hey—at least you didn’t do drugs. That was an accomplishment, right?
You were just a girl.
Hanging out at the golf club didn’t interest you. You thought it was ridiculous, even though you were part of the Kook crowd. With so many things to do, golf? Really?
There was only one reason you’d stay out under the sun that long—tanning. Nothing else could keep you baking in the sun. Ever.
Most people at the golf club weren’t there for golf anyway. They’d wear their best outfits, spritz on perfume, do their makeup, and show up just to flaunt themselves. Some were hoping to score a date for the night, others looking for a potential spouse. The place was swarming with people trying to show off their wealth, a live version of a dating app. You hated it.
Waiting in line for a guy?
You wouldn’t even look at someone who wasn’t interested in you from the start. Your guy had to be loyal. Chasing other women while pursuing you? Eliminated. Eyeing three other girls in the same room as you? Out. Walking alongside you and your best friends on the same beach? All three of you would kick him to the ass.
You never needed it. Your family name was known, and everywhere you went, you stood out. You didn’t need to make yourself known or put in extra effort to catch people’s attention.
You were already valuable. The brightest jewel on the island. The shiniest diamond.
You were noticeable even on the path you walked.
Still, your love life wasn’t exactly successful. You weren’t sure if it was by choice or if the guys on the island were just idiots. Either way, you always knew most of them were after your family name—maybe to get into the company, or for the benefits it would bring to their own families. It was always a letdown.
Looking back, you were grateful. Those experiences taught you something, and you were now certain none of them were worth a second thought. Your exes were terrible. Thank goodness you hadn’t given any of them your virginity.
One had been worse than the others. But at least he was handsome—and muscular, tall… Too bad he’d left the island.
You were never treated as the “heir” they wanted. Before you were even born, they’d wished for a boy. They’d wanted you to be a son. It was insulting. But you just preferred to think of it as saying, 'Too bad, bitches—I’m a girl!'
Thank heavens.
As a kid, you always wanted a sibling. So did your parents, especially a son to carry on the family line. But when your parents plans conflicted with God’s plans, there’s no telling what might happen.
Before you could have a sibling, you lost your mother. She was in the same car as your dad, and he was the only one who survived. When he refused to remarry, you were left as the family’s only grandchild.
No, you weren’t a boy. But you were still the one they had to trust to carry on the family line. You’d take over the company someday; you’d be the boss. They’d always made that clear. They let you be a kid for a while, but the moment you hit adolescence, the serious talks started. Because of the family’s public image, they always expected you to be polite and courteous. You were, of course.
But over time, these expectations became stricter, and as you felt more pressure from your family, your need for freedom grew.
As much as you loved the party life, you’d take over the company one day. That ambition was in you—it was just a matter of time. And until then, you’d live it up.
Who said girls can’t carry on the family name?
You were living proof, like millions of women out there. You had plenty of time before taking over the company, and for now, you were enjoying the moment. Future you could deal with the future. Why would you worry now?
At this age, you and Jada and Aaliyah were way too busy partying.
It had taken days for you all to decide on a birthday dinner over a party, if we’re honest. It was Jada’s 20th. It was a big deal, and you’d discussed a lot of options. But finally, she decided on a quiet celebration with her closest friends instead of a big party.
The reason was simple.
Her family had just bought a new home, and they’d made it clear they wanted no parties for a while. Jada was on board with that anyway. She didn’t want people throwing up on her new couches or couples making out all over her place.
Besides, she realized you could manage with a small, private party of your own.
First, you’d talked about doing it on a yacht, but Jada didn’t want to risk throwing up on a boat after drinking, not to mention the fear of falling overboard while drunk. It was very much something that would happen to her. She couldn’t stay stable on anything that moved.
After a lot of back-and-forth, Aaliyah came up with the idea of a dinner. She told you both to leave the details to her and picked the spot. Jada was thrilled.
She felt like she was getting a surprise party—although she knew it’d be just the three of you and was fully aware of the plan, she still acted clueless. Even on the way there, she acted like she had no idea why or where you were going—as if it wasn’t her birthday.
But neither you nor Aaliyah broke character. You both played along as if you were headed to the yacht. It became a little game between you.
“Girl, I swear—kisses to the chef won’t cut it! I need to go back to the kitchen and fuck him. If a man cooks like this, I owe him at least ten kids,” Aaliyah said, cracking you both up. Thanks to her, you had the best seats with a full view at Figure Eight’s top restaurant—prime Instagram Story material.
As you took a sip of your white wine, Aaliyah cleared her throat. You turned to her, smiling.
“Girl, you’ve lost it. What if the chef is, like, 54?” Aaliyah scrunched her face, and you joined in, pulling a face as Jada raised an eyebrow. She seemed incredulous. She took another bite before saying anything.
“You two are fucking idiot. Hugh Jackman’s 56, and I’d get in his bed in a heartbeat. I’m ready to be his personal whore.”
She had a point. If the chef looked as good as Hugh Jackman in his fifties, maybe he deserved a look, especially considering guys your age were nothing to brag about.
But still—the idea of dating, let alone sleeping with, a guy old enough to be your dad? That made you feel pretty gross. Just thinking about it made you cringe.
It was nasty.
Unless, of course, it was Hugh Jackman. For him, you'd practically sign up to be his broodmare.
After Jada threw out her little example, the silence stretched, and she looked at both of you with a smug grin. She’d laid down her final word. Period.
Spending time with these girls? Honestly, the best.
Aaliyah, right beside you, let out a dramatic sigh, catching your and Jada’s attention. When she put her hand to her mouth and dropped her fork, the two of you exchanged puzzled, worried glances. Was something wrong? But just as you started to feel real concern, Aaliyah moved her hand and started talking. “I cannot believe I forgot to tell you!”
For a moment, you were seriously worried about her, but quickly you realized that what she’d forgotten was merely a juicy piece of gossip. Which, for the three of you, was life-or-death level serious. If it wasn’t something major, there’s no way she’d be reacting like this. You dropped your fork, grabbing your wine glass as you turned to her. Jada followed suit, shaking her head with a hint of annoyance. “Girl, you’d better mean this in a good way, or I’m throwing you over the railing. You just freaked us out.”
Aaliyah tucked her hair behind her ears, her face breaking into a huge grin. She knew she was holding gold. This might just be the gossip of the year.
After clearing her throat, she looked at the two of you with sparkling eyes. “First off, I heard this from my mom. The whole island doesn’t know yet, but soon enough, everyone will. So we’re like, one of the first. Do you realize how big this is?” Aaliyah took a deep breath, savoring your expectant stares. She was clearly pleased at how primed you both were.
If she held back any longer, you were about to discover telepathy.
“You guys know the Rodolp's, right? They have a son our age, Harry. Apparently, Mr. Rodolph has been coming home later and later, and eventually it came out—he’s cheating on Mrs. Rodolph.” Gossip-wise, you were unimpressed. Who cared about middle-aged infidelity? Cheating on your wife of forty years was just... gross.
“I can see it on your faces. Hold on. Apparently, the person he’s seeing is someone our age.” Now that was interesting.
You turned fully to her, a mischievous grin growing on your face. “Girl, you’d better give us more. I’m dying of suspense here.” Jada nodded in agreement, pointing to you as she puckered her lips. “Right on the money, babe.”
“Do you remember our last year? That term when we mostly had classes together? Biology class, with Liliana. Apparently, Mr. Rodolph is fooling around with Liliana from biology. And it gets even worse—Liliana and Harry are dating. The guy is cheating on both his wife and his son, with his son’s girlfriend.”
Aaliyah was a fucking queen.
You and Jada were on the verge of screaming. If you’d been at home, you two would’ve been shrieking your heads off, but since you were in a restaurant, you both had to clench your teeth to avoid an outburst. This scandal was going to be the talk of the town for months, and thank heavens it had come your way first.
“Damn… Double homicide.”
Leaning back with pride, Aaliyah pointed to herself, clearly reveling in her role. She looked like she’d just swept every major award.
Best Gossip in the Game.
That award was hers. She deserved it.
After that, things settled down a bit. You went back to eating as Aaliyah filled you in on the divorce proceedings, how Harry was firmly on his mom’s side, and any other spicy detail she had on the Rodolph's situation. Jada blew out her birthday candle, and you handed over your gifts—she was thrilled. With a designer bag in one hand and a diamond necklace around her neck, she struggled not to scream from excitement, kissing each of you about a thousand times.
The rest of the evening felt like the perfect girl’s night. You laughed, gossiped, had a blast—until the food was gone and the alcohol intake was way too high.
No one expected to get that drunk. You were pretty sure Aaliyah had promised to only have a little, yet you were positive she had polished off a bottle herself. Jada? She didn’t even pretend; she kept saying it was her birthday and she was entitled to it. She wasn’t wrong.
At one point, Jada even contemplated going into the kitchen to hunt down the chef. She nearly got up but couldn’t decide if she should carry her new bag or stick with her regular one. She added something about 22 or 52 looking no different in her eyes.
And you? Every moment with these girls was priceless. You were making new memories to look back on, imagining them as your kids’ honorary aunts, and then as their kids’ aunts too. Best friends for life.
None of you stopped drinking. You egged each other on, shot after shot, until you lost count.
At the end of the night—you were all completely hammered.
How you got home, who paid the bill, who drove? No clue. You opened your eyes the next morning in your own bed, with a throbbing headache. You felt as if you hadn’t had water in forty-eight hours, and your stomach was burning. You wanted to just lay down on the cool floor. Hangovers like this were the worst.
Sitting up, you reached for your phone. The group chat was lighting up with notifications. When you opened it, you saw that Jada and Aaliyah were already awake, talking about just how far things had gone last night. Jada was still going on about the chef. You’d really gone too far.
It was supposed to be a normal dinner, celebrating Jada’s 20th birthday. A night to hug each other, share some love, then go home—naturally, you’d gone way beyond that.
After reading about Aaliyah getting scolded by her mom, you set your phone back on the bed, unable to deal with more notifications with your throbbing head. You’d text them back later. As much as you loved the wild nights, you hated the mornings after.
To snap yourself out of it, you headed to the bathroom for a quick shower. You were sure you reeked of alcohol, which you absolutely despised. Smelling bad was practically the worst thing you could think of. You had to smell good, always. The shower didn’t take long, and after you got out, you brushed your teeth and went back to your room. You wrinkled your nose at the lingering smell of alcohol.
You opened the windows, threw on some casual workout clothes, and as you brushed your hair, you couldn’t help but think how much you loved being a girl. The self-care, the hair products, all the creams… how do guys even go without this stuff?
What the fuck do they even talk about? How do they survive missing out on all this?
You couldn’t. It was baffling.
Once you were done, you left your hair damp and headed out of your room.
As you were about to enter the living room, three men in suits caught your eye as they exited. Instead of finding your dad and grandfather seated as usual, you noticed your father standing by the window, gazing out over the view, while your grandfather was settled in an armchair, tapping a pen rapidly.
"Good morning," you said, hesitating slightly. Things were always tense in these situations—you were used to it. They didn’t approve of your lifestyle. They might even consider it… unbecoming. And you got it to an extent, but the tension was draining. You’d always hated it.
“More like good afternoon, dear.” Your grandfather’s voice was gentle, but you sensed the sarcasm. He wasn't pleased. Classic.
Just as you were about to respond, you saw your dad turn away from the window. He rubbed his face with his hands, his eyes settling on you with a look so intense it ignited a spark of dread in your gut.
What the fuck was going on?
“Would you like to sit down?” Your grandfather’s voice broke the gaze you held with your dad. You immediately took the seat across from him, catching a hint of a smile on his face. Yet it wasn’t warm. It was an unsettling grin, one that made you feel… uneasy.
You did not like this. Not a bit.
Your dad moved to stand between you and your grandfather, arms crossed. But now he wasn’t even looking at you.
“You never understood.” Your grandfather’s voice cut through, and your brow furrowed. You hated this strained atmosphere. You wanted to get up and leave. But you knew you wouldn’t.
"I’ve tried to help you understand; your father has tried. You’re twenty years old. What are you even living for?”
Okay, now you were officially starting to worry. Your grandfather’s tone, the whole approach—he seemed to be trying to soften the blow. And that, somehow, was even worse. Right now, you hated everything about this.
“You used to be a kid with straight As, despite those odd habits of yours. You didn’t want to go to college; we let it slide. You carry yourself with a confidence that can only come from knowing you’ll always be cushioned. No lie, it’s true.” His smirk widened as he placed the pen down on the coffee table and leaned back.
You’d rarely felt fear in your life. With your father and grandfather behind you, the family name erased any need to be afraid. Your last name was its own protection.
You’d always known that whatever happened, you’d come out fine. That’s why you’d never been scared.
But now? Now your body was nearly trembling. This wasn’t like the usual lecture about your carelessness, or how thoughtless you could be. It was always that same song and dance. But today, they’d taken it somewhere new.
You couldn’t help but be scared.
“So we expected, at the very least, that you’d learn from your mistakes. But it’s clear that’s not happening. You need something to wake you up—a push. And we’ve found one. Until you prove yourself, you won’t receive even a single percent of your inheritance.”
What?
Did he just—did he really just say you were cut off?
As if you didn’t carry the family name? As if you weren’t his grandchild? There was no one else in line for this inheritance. If he left it to your dad, it would still go to you eventually.
So, just because you were young, he was really taking away your rights? This was your birthright! What you did—it wasn’t some rebellion, wasn’t meant as a statement. You didn’t act this way because—
This was your birthright…
Your grandfather started coughing suddenly, his frail body rattling with each hack. Your father moved quickly to his side, and you got up as well. But he raised his hand to stop you both. A helper came to wheel him out of the room, his chair squeaking slightly on the floor. Watching him leave, you replayed his words in your mind, trying to make sense of it.
It was impossible. This was your birthright! How could he just strip it from you?
“You’ve gone too far,” your dad spoke, fixing you with a look that felt like a fireball about to explode. You wanted to lash out, to yell, to demand that this decision be taken back. But the words didn’t come.
“You came home last night like a disaster. Do you know how hard I had to fight to keep him from cutting off your credit cards?” He shook his head, his voice rough. “You’re going to fix this. You’re going to restore your image in his eyes, because right now, you are anything but the girl he wants you to be.” Your hands went to your wet hair, squeezing in frustration. You wished this was all a nightmare, that you were still sleeping.
“What do you want from me, Dad? Should I become some kind of church girl?” Your voice had risen without you realizing it, and you quickly quieted down. You hated feeling cornered, hated this situation, hated everyone—everything.
And those credit cards… if they were cut off, there’d be nothing left for you. And now, losing your future inheritance entirely? It was catastrophic. It wasn’t like you wanted your grandfather dead; you loved him, outdated as he was. But this felt so unfair… You hated every bit of it.
“If that’s what it takes, then yes!” Your dad’s voice snapped you back to reality, his tone so firm it reminded you of being ten years old, on the verge of crying because you hadn’t gotten your way. “Your grandfather is ready to leave the money to the government, do you understand? No—look at me. Let this sink in. Money, property, the company—everything. Fix this. He got married at twenty. It’s practically a miracle he hasn’t lost his mind with you staying out all night, bringing home God knows who. You’re going to fix this, understand?”
You found yourself nodding automatically.
The way he was using this inheritance as a punishment was disgusting. Leaving it all to the government—now that was a nightmare. You did not want that.
“Can’t you… Can’t you change his mind?” you asked, voice low. Your father gave you a look like you’d just spoken in a foreign language. He took a few quick steps forward, disbelief on his face. He was furious that you still seemed unwilling to accept this reality.
“Do I look like I haven’t tried?” His voice was hard, his expression angry. He was holding back to avoid drawing attention. Neither of you wanted this conversation getting back to your grandfather. “If you want the money, you’re going to stop spending your nights out like some fool. Yes, actually, a church girl wouldn’t be a bad idea. Hell, maybe even get married if you need to, I don’t know! Just make him happy! I’m not the one causing this mess!”
Your hands pressed against your head as you closed your eyes, feeling the weight of it all. You tried to think. Even if you did all of this, how did you know your grandfather would ever change his mind? Maybe he’d never truly approve…
When you opened your eyes to speak, you found an empty room.
Of course—your dad had left.

Your DILF!Gale AU - I'm vibing hard. You might not have thought this far ahead, but do you think John meets Gale's daughter and if so how does it go? I can see John being terrified, but he's also just a big kid himself.
Also squeezing in two asks for one: what is Kitty Gale up to these days?
Tumblr media
Thank you for these questions, I’m really enjoying this AU! 😁
John meeting Gale's daughter
Yes, of course they meet... eventually. Gale is very hesitant to bring any new person into their life. He’s protective of his daughter and doesn’t want her to get attached to someone who might not stay.
Bucky, too, is a little intimidated. He’s great with children, so he has confidence that he would get along well with her, but he never really had to meet children where it was crucial to be liked by them. In addition, before Gale, he never had a long-term relationship that seemed to work out, so it's a lot.
So, for several months, Gale juggles a double life, sort of - being a dad with his daughter and being Bucky's partner, but never both at the same time. It tears away at him, he’s always guilty for "neglecting" one or the other.
He’s not keeping the two secret from each other though. He talks to Bucky about his daughter and shows him photos and videos, and after some time, he also tells his daughter that he’s dating someone. She's excited about it like kids can be, without seeing the possible complications. She wants her dad to be happy, and she also sees this as an opportunity to have a new person to play with.
Gale introduces them at a fair. He figures it's casual enough, but it also gives opportunities for Bucky to interact with her. He coaches Bucky excessively beforehand on what she likes and what she doesn’t, and asks him not to kiss him in greeting just this once so as not to overwhelm her.
Needless to say, Bucky and Gale’s daughter are thick as thieves from the start. They have a lot of fun going through the attractions and eating cotton candy. Bucky wins her some kind of stuffed animal on a game. When they leave, Gale's daughter sits in the car, but Gale lingers with Bucky a little bit. They exchange a few words, then Bucky gives Gale a kiss goodbye.
During the drive home, Gale asks his daughter if she had fun, and she tells him all her thoughts about Bucky. She likes him a lot... but she tells Gale that she thinks Bucky is shy because he didn’t want to kiss Gale in front of her. As Gale flushes bright red, she continues unaware, telling him that he should tell Bucky he doesn’t have to be shy.

#psychonautssecretsanta2024
ho ho ho! it's the middle of november! that means, once again, it's time for the secret santa! last year went off without a hitch (if you just ignore how my main was shadowbanned for sending out the giftee assignments, which caused me to finally make a side blog lol), so i'm back once again with this event i've happily hosted since 2016.
hate to beat a dead horse because this is the same shtick as last year and the year prior, but i'll be tremendously busy in december. i will be more hands off and ask that all participants follow the timeline. without further ado, here's the timeline along with the rules!
TIMELINE
the application will be open from 11/15/24 starting at 4:00 P.M. PST and close on 11/25/24 at 11:59 P.M. PST. if you miss the sign up period, please message me immediately because i will begin pairing people up promptly.
between 11/27/24 through 11/29/24, i will send out giftee information to the account/username (twitter or tumblr only) that was provided, so please keep your eye on your dms. if i can’t reach you on tumblr, i’ll send an ask asking you to open your messages to everyone. that way, i can pass along your giftee to you.
as always, 12/15/24 is the check-in day. i will be going around messaging people asking for progress updates. this doesn’t have any specification as people work differently, so if you haven’t started, that’s also fine. it just helps me know where people are in their progress, or if they might need an extension. if you want to reach out first, that helps me mark you down faster!
speaking of extensions, please let me know before 12/22/24 if you will need an extension. life happens, and i know that from experience, so don’t hesitate to reach out. also, if you believe you’ll need to drop out, please let me know before 12/22/24 as well, so that i can find another santa for your giftee. you will still receive your gift!
gifts are due between 12/24/24 through 12/28/24. please tag your giftee, and use the hashtag psychonautssecretsanta2024, so that i can keep track of who posted. (of course, in addition, you can always use the relevant game, character, and pairing tags!) i’m very excited to see what everyone will create!
for those who asked for extensions, and for the santas who took on an extra gift if someone dropped, those gifts are due between 1/4/25 through 1/8/25.
RULES
adult/minor pairings and incestuous pairings are not allowed. requesting them in your application will result in you being removed from the event entirely.
keep your content PG-13/keep the t rating of psychonauts in mind. nsfw material is not allowed in order to be inclusive to everyone. to clarify, please do not request nsfw material that is graphically sexual or violent in nature.
be respectful of your giftee’s wish list, and do not share them. over the years, i have mostly partnered people based on similar interests in characters, pairings, etc., but there will always be different interpretations of aforementioned characters, pairings, etc.
i mentioned it in the above form, but please don’t give me any usernames that are for ao3 or discord to prevent any confusion. this event is also NOT associated with any personal secret santa events on any discord. this is strictly for tumblr (and maybe twitter).
not really a rule, but any received questions about the event will be answered and added to the reply section.

Evanuris and Spirits Part 2
Evanuris and Spirits Part 1
I'm going to expand more on topic here, like I did on this reddit thread because it is fuuuun. This is also me just completely theorizing things because it is fun, but I also didn't explain my thoughts in my initial post.
Another person commented on Reddit that they thought that the Evanuris were more complex spirits and that DAV confirmed this; however, I don't remember this but the idea of that they could be more complex spirits is fun to me because spirits are represent emotions and there are different "levels" of emotions so to speak.
We have our Reflective Emotions (emotions that require more thought), Routine Emotions (our day-to-day emotions), and our Reactive Emotions (based on survival).
The idea of some spirits being more complex also is interesting because it also plays into the idea of more complex emotions. For example, happy and excitement are similar emotions, but one is more high energy than the other.
We experience different types of emotions, each serving unique roles. Reflective emotions require deeper contemplation and introspection, routine emotions are the ones we experience daily, and reactive emotions are immediate responses rooted in survival.
The idea that some spirits are more complex is intriguing, as it parallels the concept of layered emotions. For instance, happiness and excitement are closely related, yet they differ in intensity; excitement is a higher-energy state than happiness--but one can argue that excitement is still a form of happiness.
We also see hints of this complexity in the game, where some demons we encounter are more nuanced than a typical rage/despair/desire demon.
So, take Wisdom for example:
Tumblr media
What if a Spirit of Wisdom could be formed through various experiences, emotions, or interactions with other spirits/the world? There could be multiple pathways leading to wisdom, with this being just one possible example.
Now, let's turn our focus to the Evanuris - for the sake of this post, I will only focus on her. I might break down my thoughts about the other Evanuris a bit later though.
Mythal: Benevolence (as confirmed by Morrigan)
[Justice] + [Compassion] = Benevolence
Fairness + Integrity = [Justice]
Love + Empathy = [Compassion]
Benevolence is a virtue that embodies kindness and goodwill, often driving acts of charity, care, and support for others--it's more than just kindness. Benevolence is active and purposeful, driven by a desire to make a positive impact on others' lives, which is where we might see the manifestation of Justice.
I think it could be more than just if X is corrupted, it must be corrupted into Y.
Some may see this as a retcon of the lore, but I view it as an expansion. Much of Dragon Age lore is presented through only a few perspectives, and when it comes to spirits, the Fade, and other similar topics, they have historically been demonized and regarded as dangerous. This fear likely obscures a great deal of knowledge, suggesting there is much more we don’t know.

It's A Man's World
Chapter 5 (Batter up)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: To clarify, I do not own the rights to any pictures or names used in this story, except for Sierra Riley. All other rights and names belong to the NFL and MLB. Additionally, some characters are inspired by the game MLB The Show 24, which includes fictional characters. The title of the book is inspired by the song "It's a Man's World" by James Brown and Betty Jean Newsome, for which I also do not own the rights. All rights are held by Warner-Tamerlane Publishing Corp. and Unichappell Music, Inc. Enjoy!
If you had told me 10 years ago that I would be playing for the Atlanta Braves, I would have told you. You're lying, but here I am. After the draft, I had to fly to Florida for spring training, and then when that was over, I flew to Atlanta to sign my rookie contract, which is $380k for my first year plus a 2 million signing bonus. Then fly to Cincinnati for my first game for the season. Safe to say I've had a crazy couple of weeks.
Oh and how fitting that Joe is throwing out the first pitch since its Reds opening day.  So it's really true what they say. It does come full circle.
I walked out from the clubhouse into the away dugout. I noticed Joe in the batter's box swinging a bat at baseballs as they fired out the shooter and must I say he looked damn good while doing it too.
Ok, time I come clean about something. Do I have a crush on my best friend Joe Burrow? Yes. Am I scared to tell him? Yes. Why? because if I do I'm going to make a complete fool of myself and I just do not want to risk that and possibly losing a friend.
But friends don't text each other every day for random things or have late-night phone conversions like they used to when they were in LSU together. To sum it up over the last couple of months Joe and I have slipped back into our old ways and not that I'm complaining I just wish we were more.
I noticed Joe had finished and might as well say hello. I walked out towards home plate catching the tail end of his conversation “I'm so proud of her…to watch her play in college I knew she was big league bound and now she's here.” I heard Joe tell my teammate Austin Riley, a third baseman.
“There's the woman of the hour!” I hear Ja’marr call out as I make my way toward the group, my heart racing with a mix of excitement and nerves.
I shake my head, feeling a bit overwhelmed. “Stop! I'm done crying for today,” I reply, my voice tinged with a slight whine, reflecting the emotional rollercoaster I've been on.
Ja’marr looks at me with a supportive smile. “How do you feel? Are you ready for this?” he asks, his eyes filled with genuine concern. I nod slowly, trying to muster a confident expression despite my jitters. “I feel ready; I’m just trying not to overthink everything,” I admit, forcing a nervous smile.
“Sis, you’ve got this in the bag!” Ja’marr encourages, his voice steady and reassuring. “Don’t let them cloud your mind—just play your heart out, like you do every time.” His words resonate with me, pushing back the self-doubt that threatens to creep in.
“Ri, you’ve worked your ass off for this moment,” Joe chimes in, giving me a playful nudge on my shoulder. “You’re going to absolutely kill it today! And we just happen to have front-row seats to witness your brilliance.” His enthusiasm and belief in me fill me with warmth and motivation.
Nodding, I accept their words with a grateful smile, feeling a rush of confidence. “Thanks, you guys! That really helps. But now I have to ask: what the hell is this?” I say, gesturing pointedly at the Cincinnati jerseys they are both proudly wearing. They burst into laughter, clearly thinking they could charm their way out of my noticing their blatant team allegiance.
“Hey it was a gift from them but believe me I would wore yours if I could” Ja'marr gives his excuse. I turn to Joe waiting for his.
“I'm from Ohio.” he gives the most obvious answer—typical Joe.
------
Against all odds, Joe delivered a flawless pitch after the pregame festivities and the stirring national anthem. I could feel the excitement coursing through me—this was my moment, my MLB debut.
As they called my name, I heard Joe and Ja’marr erupting with cheers from their private suite through the crowd their support only boosted my confidence and set the stage for what was about to happen.
I locked in my focus, ready to face the pitcher. He glanced at the runner on first, then turned his gaze to me and wound up for the throw.
The pitch came rushing straight at me! I instinctively jumped back, narrowly avoiding it. “One ball, no strikes.” But that wasn’t a mistake; he wanted to rattle me. Too bad for him—I’m not easily shaken.
I reset myself, gripping the bat firmly, ready for the next challenge. The pitcher checked the runner again and delivered another pitch.
This time, he made a crucial misstep—an offspeed pitch! I saw it coming, and without hesitation, I swung with all my power. The crack of the bat was electric, and I sent that ball soaring out of the park. A home run on my very first hit! 2-0, baby! Now that’s how you make an unforgettable debut.
-------
We won only by the skin of our teeth 5-4. I had just changed out of my away uniform into some sweets and a hoodie when I heard a knock on my locker room door.
“It's open” I shout, not feeling like walking to the door.
The door opens and Joe pops his head in “Hey can I come in?”
I waved my hand “Yeah come on”
He steps in closing the door behind him “Getting ready to head out just wanted to say you looked great out there today” he compliments.
“Thanks, I had to show off a bit, you know. Oh! I meant to give this back to you, but everything just happened so fast,” I said, remembering his chain that he gave to me to wear on Daft Night. But I never did give it back to him. If I remember right, I was in my gym bag. Bingo pulled it right out.
I went to hand it back to him be he stopped me “Keep it Ri”
“Huh?” I said making sure I heard him right. This boy is crazy.
Joe cracked a little smile “Keep it...believe me I've got plenty”
I looked at him to make sure he wasn't joking “You sure cause this is worth more than my signing bonus” I joked nervously.
He smiled and nodded his head “Yeah I'm sure think of it as an ‘I knew you would make it’s gift”.
I smiled “Ok no take takebacks Burrow,” I said putting back in my bag.
“What are you doing when you leave here?” Joe asked suddenly. I shrugged my shoulders. “It's still early so I'm not really tired. Might just chill back at the hotel. Why what's up?” I answered taking a seat on the bench.
He looks at me for a second then slightly shakes his head. “Some friends of mine wanted to go out to eat and all but Ja'marr had to leave soo…”
“You want me to go in his place?” I finished the sentence for him.
This is not anything new. I went to a lot of Joe's events as his plus one back in LSU. And he did the same thing for me.
“Yeah but if you want to call it a day I understand” he quickly says.
I shake my head with a laugh “No I'll go with you, Joe. Plus it would be nice to get a breather before tomorrow's game” I said, opening up my suitcase.
“Give me a few to get changed and I'll be right out”
Joe raised his eyebrows “You really could go in what you have on” he said nonchalantly
Is this boy out of his mind? “Joe I'm not hanging out around people I don't know in a hoodie and sweatpants,” I said looking at him all upside his head.
“Yes, you can cause one where only going to Texas Roadhouse. Two you just finished a hell of a baseball game and have a right to wear this. And if someone has a problem with it then we can go and have our own dinner” he says the confidence just flows out as he says it.
My stomach should have not tightened up but I just love how protective this man is. Biting my lip not knowing what to say except “Alright let's go”
-------
Joe was walking me up to my room after that impromptu hangout session with his friends which by the way all amazing.
“Yeah I'm definitely paying for this tomorrow,” I said feeling like I was ready to pop.
Joe gives out a small chuckle “Yeah that makes two of us”
I give him this funny look “You got time to burn it off, Joe. I on the other hand have to play a game tomorrow” I said pulling out my keycard for my room. “Fair point Far point,” Joe said not disagreeing with me
Stopping in front of my room “This is me” I said turning to Joe “Thanks again for inviting me” I said suddenly nervous as I looked at him and his features pretty blue eyes, dirty blonde hair so silky you could run your fingers through it and not get tangled. To some it up this boy was fine.
His voice knocked me out of my thoughts “No thank you for coming. I owe you one for this Ri”
Yeah, a date.
“What’d you say” I saw Joe's eyebrows raise..Did I say that out loud could have sworn I said that in my head.
“I didn't say anything,” I said quickly shaking my head trying to avoid this conversation at all costs.
“Nah, Nah you said something. What did you say?” he asked stepping a little closer. Looking the other way with a blush on my cheeks “I said a date” I repeat my words still not looking a him.
He stood there with the biggest smirk on his face “I still didn't hear what you said say it again and this time” he paused to gently grab my chin “Look at me”
Soaked absolutely Soked straight through.
Unable to move I said it again looking straight dead in his eyes “A date. You owe me a date”
Joe nodded his head and let my chin go “That's what I thought you said” he said stepping away from me. “Ok, how about this. If you get to the World Series which I know you will I'll take you on a date” he said proposing a challenge or more like a bet. “Ok and if I don’t,” I said waiting for the catch no pun intended.
“Then I still take you on the date’

Trip <3
Summary- Y/N and Matt go on a roadtrip and they pass the time by singing songs for the journey.
Warnings- just fluff :)
Tumblr media
Me and Matt were on a roadtrip, just us, to visit Vermont. I had never been before and Matt wanted to take me so he could revisit his childhood memories and tell me about them. Matt had booked us a lovely and cozy cabin for us to stay in. He was bouncing off the walls with excitement when it was a few days before we would be leaving. Matt had planned out what we would do to keep us busy on our trip. We were staying at the cabin for 5 days.
But right now we were loading all of our bags into the trunk of the car. I had definitely over-packed, but Matt's amount of luggage was even worse, he had 7 bags and one big suit case all for himself. Matt just claimed that he wanted to have all of the best outfit options depending on the weather that day. i just rolled my eyes. I was passing all of the bags to Matt so he could stack them neatly in the trunk so they wouldn't fall over during the drive.
"Baby, you don't need to help me. I got it." He smiled at me.
"But I want to help Matt!!" I whined.
"I know you do sweetheart, but it's cold out. Why don't you get in the car and queue some songs for the journey and put the heater on, hmm?" Matt suggested. I couldn't say no. I just nodded my head and skipped over to the passenger seat.
I was queuing some songs and I could feel the car shaking a little, I looked over my shoulder back at Matt. He was standing on one of his bags to get it to fit in the trunk.
"Are you sure you don't need any help?" I chuckled.
"Don't worry 'bout me, you just sit there and look pretty." Matt said through gritted teeth, he was getting frustrated at his organisation skills. I laughed once more at his efforts and then turned back around.
After a few more loud ruffling and shuffling, Matt closed the trunk and practically sprinted to the driver's seat. He leaned over the centre console and kissed me quickly on the cheek. I blushed almost instantly at the action. I turned to Matt and gave him a funny look, trying to compress my laughter on the tip of my tounge.
"I'm just so excited to be going on our first trip together!" Matt squealed. I was just smiling at his enthusiasm. Matt started the car and I played the queued songs. And just like that, we were on our way to Vermont.
We had flown into Boston with Chris and Nick, so the journey to Vermont would be shorter for me and Matt and it would be easier than driving from L.A.
We had been on the road for about an hour and I was growing bored. Matt was doing fine, he was occupied with the driving. I let out a loud huff and slammed my head onto the headrest. Matt looked over at me.
"What's wrong baby?" Matt asked confused.
"I'm bored." I groaned.
"Okay-" Matt paused. "Why don't we play a game?" I shook my head. "Umm, do you want to stop driving and get something to eat?" I shake my head again. "I don't know then baby!" Matt laughed at my stubbornness. "What do you want to do?" He asked.
I looked out the window to have a think. Matt tapped quietly on the steering wheel waiting for my response.
"Can we sing a song?" I nervously asked. Me and Matt hadn't really ever sung with each other before. I wanted to do it because that's what I did with my family when we went on roadtrips.
"Sure!" Matt smiled over at me. "Pick a song that I know though." He warned.
I laughed and scrolled through my phone looking for one specific song. 'Home by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zero's'. I clicked on the song and it started playing quietly. I reached over to the volume button and turned it up drastically. I looked over at Matt. He looked back at me, he was trying to recognise the song lyrics.
"Oh my god! I love this song! Great choice baby!" He reached over and held my thigh softly.
I had felt a bit nervous to start singing but when I heard Matt humming quietly, that gave me the courage to start singing.
We had reached the end of the chorus and the next verse was approaching.
"I'll follow you into the park. Through the jungle, through the dark. Girl, I never loved one like you." Matt sang softly.
"Moats and boats and waterfalls. Alleyways and pay phone calls. I've been everywhere with you." I joined in.
"That's true, laugh until we think we'll die. Barefoot on a summer night. Never could be sweeter than with you." We sung together. We were both laughing with each other. This felt really intimate.
"And in the streets you run a-free. Like it's only you and me. Geez, you're something to see." We both were in fits of laughter and quiet giggles, so we stopped singing. Matt turned down the volume a little bit. I looked over at him and gave him a small kiss on the cheek. I saw that he turned a slight shade of pink. I just chuckled quietly at his reaction. He looked over at me and had a wide grin on his face.
"I love you Y/N. This is going to be the best trip ever." He declared. I couldn't disagree with that.

I really really really wanted to enjoy this game... I was actually excited for it. I mean I've waited TEN YEARS!!!
And don't get me wrong technically speaking is a good game. It is a visually beautiful game, the fight mechanics as a mage are incredible, and several of the characters are really interesting.
But below the cut, hidden incase of inadvertent spoilers.
But... And I don't know maybe it's a vibes thing... It just feels like it's lacking something...
I feel like the first three games didn't shy away for the dark shit as much as this one does. They were messy. Every faction, every nation, and every person felt more real. No-one really felt entirely good or bad, the world was fucked up and peoples mindsets had been influenced by that.
I mean I was literally running around Tevinter as an elf... I literally picked to play as an elf because damn that should result in some drama in Tevinter... But so far... nothing... Not even an offhand comment from a random NPC.
the fact that slavery is a thing in Tevinter hasn't even been mentioned, let alone the complex social hierarchy or implied racism. I mean there was fantasy racism in the south, logically it should be far more overt here in a place who's entire economy is built on (mostly elven) slave labour? They'd probably not even see it as racism, it would just be a thing, a fact of life, just there. We sort of got a bit of this with Dorian in DA:I and his opinion made sense given his past, he explained it calmly, ot wasn't made into a huge thing, it was just casual comment during a discussion but it was there.
I don't know... I've not finished yet so I might change my mind but this just feels very sanitised.
There are also SO MANY unfinished plot points and disjointed lore snippets from the other games that I thought might at least get a mention, even a subtle nod, but I'm not holding it much hope for that now.
Also the others felt more like true RPGs... Not that I've ever been one to play in a "be awful to everyone and piss everyone off" way, but it was nice that the option was there.

So, I love your DFTR au. I'm wondering if I'm reading into it too much, but while Moon doesn't share Sun's affinity for games, he seems to love to gamble. Having gambled on his (and by extension Sun's) own lives in Chapter 5 and then twice again in the very next chapter. He seems to leave a lot of things up to chance, stark in contrast to Sun's approach of planning out almost everything before he does it and I just thought that was incredibly interesting,
While all of my Moons (regardless of au) certainly love to gamble, DFtR Moon's habit of it stems most potently from pride. He "risked" his and Sun's life in chapter 5 because he sincerely doubted that y/n would actually do it (even though a small part of him wanted desperately to be proven wrong - hence, "Disappointing"), and him helping them in the most recent chapter is due to...ulterior motives, but is no doubt still connected to the belief that he is both smarter and faster than y/n and Devin in order to get out of any situation he might find himself in.
That said, a gamble made from pride is still a gamble. He doesn't consider the smaller risks a gamble at all, and the neutral risks offer only the smallest rush of excitement. As for the larger risks, where he actually has a lot to lose... I've been trying to avoid the phrase "passive suicidal ideation", but at the end of the day, that's what it is. He's ready to be done with all of this, revenge or no revenge. He's exhausted. Part of his gambling habit is the knowledge that one of these times he is going to be wrong, and it's not going to end pretty.

i'm going to take a break from being on here for a while, until the veilguard hate calms down or until i no longer care, whichever comes first. i went from being really excited to create in this fandom to being bitterly disappointed and unhappy in less than 2 weeks. if a character's mere existence makes you feel justified in platforming your bigoted opinions and being vicious to people who like them maybe try some personal reflection instead. it's honestly triggering to be under a constant state of anxiety that if i breathe wrong or act too excited about something i love the wrong person might see it and i'm going to get crucified for it, literally just because other people can't stand to see someone happy over something they don't like.
every time i think about taash now it comes with a wave of sadness and stress because i know that the fact that i like them makes me a target for bullying. you guys need to seriously get crucial. you're a grown adult video game blogging on tumblr, you do not have the right to be this up your own ass.
anyway i'm leaving to enjoy the game in peace and write my little fanfics for myself. mutuals who want to stay in touch can add me on discord @elminsters if you want, but i'm not really good at dming so don't expect much.

I haven't been super active because, bluntly, I've lost a lot of inspiration and motivation. Which to a lot of folks usually translates to I've lost interest but that isn't the case. I still love these games very much, don't start sending me stuff assuming otherwise. While resting is something I don't mind doing, even if I get kneejerk reactions that I shouldn't be, I'm unsure of how to keep this blog 'worth it' for folks following and wanting more from me, I can't really deliver on that.
I realized I only have two ideas I still want to write, however I feel no pressing urge to. I like the idea very much, when I talked to a friend about one of them, we were both super excited about it, but instead I just feel a lot of apathy towards actually writing it out. This apathy has turned towards other ideas now too, I can't think of anything that makes me actually want to write. I still love these character a lot, but I don't feel the need to make posts when others have said what I wanted but better, or to write about certain ideas really.
I don't know what my inspiration/motivation is tied to. A lot of you are very kind and are kind enough to leave some form of comment when I post something, and that makes me happy. So I think right now I'm just going through a depression spurt while waiting for the games to feel interesting again. A lot of sequel routes are coming out that I feel nothing towards, I rarely have the energy for events now (sighing forever how they turned my super anticipated event into a damn expensive ass story set), and I want more from it and I'm not getting it. Maybe it would be better if I had more favorites.
A part of it is that I've also been playing other games and preoccupied with that, like this weekend I banged out going through 4 different endings towards the silent hill remake, played a 'romance' horror game through the rest of the week, and then I thought way too much about my life and spiraled.
I think a lot of this would be pinned on seasonal depression, however I think its just that my life is slowing down again and so I'm reflecting a lot on what I'm doing (servers, blogs, irl, on top of trying to write)
I wish I knew what sparked my motivation/inspiration! If I could tweak it a little I'm sure I'd start wanting to write again, but it's likely going to be slow for a while. Maybe its best to unfollow if thats all you've been wanting, you can bookmark my masterlists or sign up for my taglist (both in pinned) so you can see when I am posting more stuff again. I don't think that's a bad thing.

Okay, newest discourse I've seen and want to share my opinion on... Mostly it's about Rook's companions. PLEASE be aware the are Spoilers for late game DAV below!
So, I've been seeing a bunch of people talking about how the companions don't really act like they care about you, because they aren't asking you how you are doing.
We've got some things to dissect here 😅 first off, not everyone's love language is words of encouragement haha. But on a serious note, even if it's true that they never asked "Rook, are you alright?" (Which, I'm pretty sure I got asked that by at least one companion...?) It doesn't mean they don't care about you. The more interactions and companion quests you do, the more you see that care come out.
Davrin asking you to join him for walks? He sees you need a break and fresh air.
Emmerich taking you to the gardens? It's probably the most relaxing thing he can think of.
Neve taking you with her to throw rocks, the thing she does when she needs a break and to clear her mind? She's hoping it helps you too.
Taash taking you to feed the birds? Again, something that helps them clear their head? Makes it easier to think? Also, their comment about you not knowing loss... Haven't you ever said something when you are angry that you know will hurt? Maybe that's how Taash sees you, or maybe they see the haunted look of grief in your eyes every day, and wanted to provoke you into getting mad and talking about it- exactly how they are apt to share their emotions. But Rook knows that comment isn't about them, it's about Taash.
Harding taking you with her to practice her new magic? It's something potentially fun and a little exciting, something brighter than the death and despair everywhere.
Tbh I'm having trouble thinking past romance stuff for Lucanis 😂 but like, making you food, he does check in on you, his quiet care in the way he would talk to you. I'll see on this second playthrough how much stays even when he isn't romanced.
Bellara taking you to check elven artifacts? You most likely have no idea what you are doing, she obviously just wanted you there. Now, it could be because she just wants support, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was hoping some knowledge of how to handle these artifacts rubbed off on you, and wasn't sure how to say that. She's obviously protective, and doesn't always know how to say what she wants.
Point is, sometimes it's words, sometimes it's actions, but they obviously do care. They also realize: you are the one leading this, the one with the most weight on your shoulders. They may be unsure how to actually ease that weight, and not just remind you that you have it.
It makes me really, really sad to see people say that they can't find it in them to care about the companions, because they don't ask you how you feel. Is their worth directly linked to your wellbeing? Is the only correct way of showing care or affection the way you prefer? I cried through multiple companion scenes because of the raw emotions they shared with me. Does that willingness to be vulnerable count for nothing?
Something I honestly appreciate about Rook, is there's a little bit we know for sure about them. You can decide their identity, if they're serious or joking, or optimistic or angry. There's room to fill your backstory. But the core of you is the same, and it's why Varric chose Rook: because you see a problem, you solve it. You see an injustice, you have to do something. Every backstory, you did something that saved lives or helped people and it got you in trouble; you know how to put others first, but without it breaking you.
There are a lot of similarities between Hawke and Rook that I see, the Found Family trope being the biggest. And you know, both families are maybe a little dysfunctional. But while there are similarities, it's unfair to compare how Hawke's friends approached their wellbeing with the Veilguard, because they are all, the protagonist and the companions alike, different people, who would handle and process trauma differently. And in a way that, whether the healthiest or not, kept everyone sane; though there are times when things could slip through the cracks.
My final thought is about Varric, or rather, his death. I saw people talking about how Solas couldn't have kept that ruse going if the companions had bothered to check in with you. Now, sure maybe no one ever said anything because they were concerned if it would help or not. You've been caught in the infirmary a couple times, talking to nothing: maybe that is what helps you cope?
But I think it is completely plausible that the magic Solas was using to make you think Varric was still alive, could also have been censoring outside mention of him. A lot of the time if Varric gets brought up in conversation by someone, they just.... Trail off? What if they said more, but Solas erased it for you? And the companions, well. If you don't want to talk about him, they won't force you. Same with anyone else, like Isabela. Solas is smart, he would know that the people around you would know he was dead, and may very well mention it in front of you. You think he wouldn't have something in place?
So yeah, next time something comes up that makes you go, "this is bad writing, I can't like this game, how can you like this game?" Maybe ... Look at it from another angle? A couple angles? Think about what could be happening offscreen? Or if you really just don't like the game or the characters... Why would you want to make others feel bad if they do? Not to be harsh, because also if you have things you don't like, that's valid and it doesn't mean you can't express yourself. But that doesn't mean nobody should like them.
Love you all ❤️
