I thought exactly the same thing. I think he really took the time to calm down and think about the situation before posting something. I think he really wanted to send a subtle message, hence the interesting selection of photos. I see this as a way to show his separation from Ferrari (and perhaps even his lack of confidence in them). The photo "forza Charles" could say that. Especially since it's something that has been said a lot on the networks and in the comments on Ferrari posts. "forza Charles" and no longer "forza ferrari". For me it's also a way to show that he believes above all in himself and that he knows that he cannot necessarily count on Ferrari. It is confirmation of 'I can only count on myself and I distance myself from Ferrari. Especially since Charles was the number 1 fan of “Forza Ferrari”. It also shows that he has support without needing Ferrari, that there are people who believe in him before believing in Ferrari. The last photo is the most interesting and if I were Ferrari I would be worried 🤣. It's not a good sign when their 'predestined 'posts a photo of himself between the Ferrari door, with one foot outside, especially when he's used to sending messages via his Instagram. In their place I would be afraid because for me it reflects Charles' state of mind. Between the two, between wanting to leave and staying but no longer being afraid to leave if necessary and being ready to do so. For me too it's a little threat, a message to say 'don't test me, I could really leave, I'm really thinking about it'. It also shows that he reads what is said and that he sees all the people who tell him that he deserves better and that he should leave. And let him show that he thinks so too. For me this is a significant post, as has been pointed out, he has never taken so long to post even after a bad race and his captions are increasingly short, and without reference to the team. For me it's a warning that says "I'm ready to leave if necessary." Of course this is just speculation and interpretation. This is my opinion which may be totally wrong and there is nothing very profound in the post 🤣🤣🤣

yeah! that was my first thought - it seems like the reflection of his mood (the rain helps significantly) and it seems like a threat.

Honestly,my favorite type of yandere content involving Silver is mostly Lillia 'convinces' MC to date him.

Like Silver gets rejected after confessing cause Mc like them as a good friend/brother. It's not longer after MC comes up to him says they were wrong, and they do love him.

Can't decide if Silver would be suspicious or if he thought MC was probably just nervous about the idea of dating him. So they stsrt dating, but Mc seems more awkward and stiff about it. Silver could mention this to Lillia, and next thing Silver knows, MC is trying to relax more around him.

I’m gonna be honest, when I was writing the yandere headcanons for Silver I went “Is this even yandere???” I was re-reading some of the points and they didn’t give any yandere vibes, only regular headcanons.

I was trying to find ways to ‘intensify’ the ‘yandere’ in Silver BUT IT WASNT CLICKING— IT WAS SOO OOC FOR HIM THAT I WAS SO FRUSTRATED. It was giving “The math AINT mathing here” vibes 😭

Let’s be real here, Lilia is not afraid to use extreme measures to make his lil’ bat happy.

And what better way to make Silver happy than bringing a most certainly regretful, magicless, and defenceless prefect back into his son’s arms where they belong? How about them apologizing for rejecting him and that they would be more than happy to be his lover? Singing praises to him and chanting ‘I love you!’ over and over again like it would save theirs and a certain feline-beast life?

Oh wouldn’t that be the cherry on top for his dear son and future daughter-in law?

“Oh Silver! What do you mean they’re nervous when they’re with you? They’re probably just soo happy to finally be with you, son! It’s just a symptom of being in love~ 🥰”

Lilia saying that to Silver while staring directly at you, making sure that you’re not doing something to contradict his words.

In Silver’s case, I think he would be suspicious at first. Like how could the prefect switch up their emotions so quick? And why was his father involved as well?? He didn’t tell him the bad news yet.

He would definitely be concerned about how much the prefect was trembling in his arms. Are you okay? Are you sick? Poor dude was so confused.

He sees how much the prefect smiles— or at least tries to smile— in a calm and almost loving way. But it seems so forced? Silver tries to make you budge, asking you if you’re alright and if there’s something wrong.

He also notices that whenever you’re in the room with him, his father will also be in the room with y’all as well. Almost like he’s watching over something— or someone.

Lilia menacingly watching the prefect, making sure that they don’t say anything to ruin Silvers happiness and yours ig: 😇😌😈😈

You, literally just wanting to get out of there because you don’t like Silver like that and it’s gross bc Silver is like a brother to you: 😟😟😰😰😰🤢🤢😀😀

All you can do is try to reassure him and you’re fine and just soo excited to be with him and not hide your undying love for him anymore.

Maybe after all the reassurance from both yourself and Lilia, Silver will finally relax. He can finally just be happy that you love him back and he can finally show you how much he loves you.

What happens if Silver finds out what actually happened? Well it depends on how soon.

If it’s early on then of course he’ll help you out and talk to his father. He loves you but doesn’t want to make you miserable.

But…if it’s after all of the conversations and convincing from his father and you…Wouldn’t it be okay for him to be a little selfish at that point? I mean, you did say you love him soo many times already. Wouldn’t it be so cruel to tell the truth to someone who’s soft and pure-hearted like Silver? To say that you don’t actually love someone who would beg on his knees and cry for you to not leave him?

Finan wouldn't say he was drunk. No, he would say he's ‘Tipsy’. He was alone in his room at the inn, sitting at the creaky wood table, drinking the ale the over friendly woman left him. He couldn't go out to the alehouse and drink with others. The weather outside was bad, the wind was loud and so was the rain and thunder. He couldn't drink with uhtred, sihtric, Osferth or you because you all had retired to your rooms. Getting some much-needed rest.

They had rode into the town earlier, having to stop because of the weather. Uhtred wasn't happy about losing another day of riding but he knew his men and you needed the rest. Finan was tired all day but couldn't fall asleep when he laid down. So, he resorted to drinking, not the smartest idea, but he needed something to do. And the more he drank and the louder the thunder got, the more he thought of you.

You wouldn't say you were afraid of the thunder. You just aren't fond of the loud noises. You tried to sleep but you couldn't find peace in the sound of the storm. So, you just laid in the surprisingly comfortable bed, your eyes not leaving the lit fireplace. Your eyes were struggling to keep open and every time they would close, and you felt yourself drifting off to sleep, only for the loud thunder to wake you up.

It was only when the thunder quitend when you felt yourself drift off again only to be awakened again. But this time it wasnt by the thunder, no it was from someone knocking on your door. Your eyes fluttered open, and you let out a frustrated groan that was covered by the sound of the rain. You sit up and fling the warm blankets off your legs, your bare feet touching the cold floor as you rush to the door. You unlock it and swing the heavy wood door open.

In front of you stood a grinning Finan, clad in green sleeveless tunic and brown trousers. Finan’s eyes lit up when you opened the door, and he couldn't stop his eyes from raking over your body. You were leaning against your door, dressed in a large white blouse that stopped before your knees, the top string of the blouse untied. Finan quickly brings his eyes back to your face, his cheeks becoming flushed at the sight of you.

“Are you okay?” You question him, emphasizing you. You watched with tired eyes as he slightly swayed before leaning against the door frame. He definitely has been drinking you think to yourself.

“I’m a tad bit tipsy” Finan chirped, his hand coming up to scratch at his beard-covered chin, his eyes not leaving yours. “Just a tad” You repeat his words as you tilt your head, the look on your face showing that you did not believe him.

“Just a wee amount” Finan chuckles, bringing his pointer finger and his thumb close together in a pinch; almost touching. You felt your lips twitch up in amusement at his actions, he was cute when he was tipsy.

“What are you doing here Finan?” You ask with a tired smile.

“I wanted to make sure you are okay, i know how much ya hate the thunder” Finan smiles, a hint of worry in his eyes. He could tell that you didn't get any sleep from the tiredness in your eyes. While he was silently worrying about you, you were silently freaking out by the fact that he remembered your fear and checked on you.

“I’m okay, jus tired that's all” you said with a shy smile, hoping that he wouldn't notice how flustered you are by his words.

“Well, if ya ask nicely, a handsome Irish man is more than willing to join you in your bed” He flirts with a coquettish wink, leaning closer to you. His eyes subtly looking over your figure again, he had to stop himself from putting his hand on your waist and pulling you close to him.

“Well, if you find one, send him my way, will you?” You bantered with a teasing smile, leaning closer to him as well, your blouse moving as well; showing him a clear view of your collarbone that he just wanted to lean down and press kisses against. Finan hides his smirk at the sight and brings his eyes back up to your face.

“Well, you're just breaking my heart, gorgeous” Finan says with a dramatic gasp as he rests his hand on his heart. You rolled your eyes, but you couldn't stop the smile that spread across your face from his dramatics.

“Are you gonna let me in?” He says with a small smirk after a few moments of silence between the two of you. Finan’s eyes raked over your face silently begging that you would let him in.

“You're not drinking my ale Finan” You joke as you step to the side letting him in. Finan laughs and steps inside of your room mumbling ‘no promises’. You roll your eyes again and close and lock the door before turning around to face him.

You watched as Finan walked towards your bed, sitting down and leaning against your headboard. His eyes scanned over your room, it was almost identical to his, but your bed was far comfier. His eyes stopped on your side table, specifically the wood cup that was on it.

“One no more drinking and two get your nasty boots off my bed” You sigh in fake annoyance as you take the wooden cup of ale out of his hands, he did not need any more ale. Finan groans and tries to reach for the cup, but you move your arm away and the cup out of his reach. You send him a pointed look before turning around and walking over to the table by the fireplace to set the cup down. Finan’s eyes shamelessly follow your figure.

“Why do you sound annoyed?” Finan groans, annoyed that he had to sit up, he pulls off his boots, letting them drop onto the wooden floor. His eyes watching as you walk closer to him, standing at the end of your bed.

“Because you're annoying me” You tease him as you climb into bed and under the sheets. You lay on your side facing Finan, watching as he gets under the blanket and lays on his side, facing you.

The fire was heating the room, protecting the two of you from the cold of the storm. The rain was getting heavier, and the wind was getting louder. You flinched and closed your eyes at the loud clap of thunder that startled you.

“The thunder won't hurt you ya know?” Finan said in a comforting tone, his eyes looking over your tired face. Your eyes flutter open, meeting Finan’s brown eyes and before you could say anything he's already talking.

“I wouldn't let it,” Finan whispered in a surprisingly soft tone.

“Oh? You're gonna fight the thunder for me?” You whisper back with a smile. Finan brings his hand up and tucks a strand of your hair behind your ear, his warm but rough hand brushing against your cheek, leaving goosebumps in his wake.

“I would fight anyone for you, you're worth fighting for” he declared in a serious tone, his eyes not leaving yours. You wanted yourself to believe his words, but you just couldn't, not only was he tipsy he also was naturally flirty, he said sweet things all the time.

“You're only saying this because you're tipsy” you sigh with a frown, averting your eyes from him to look down at the sheets. Finan frowns and brings his finger under your chin and softly tilts your head up to look into your eyes.

“I promise to you I'm not that tipsy, trust that my words are true…because they are,” he promised sincerely. He watched as you opened your mouth to say something, only to close it because you didn't know what to say. You honestly didn't expect this to happen.

“I care for you y/n…so much. I was in my room, and I couldn't stop thinking about how I wanted to be in here with you, telling you that you were safe and that you didn't need to be scared because I would protect ya…i want to be here for you y/n, always.”

“I know that it might be hard to trust my words, but I promise to ya that the ale just gave me the confidence to tell you how I feel” he said in a joking tone, starting to get nervous at the fact that you haven't said anything. He would like to think that he was prepared if you kicked him out of your bed and room, saying that you did not feel the same way, but he knew deep down that that would hurt more than any wound he could suffer from.

“Finan…i…” you mumbled; you truly didn't know what to say. You have known Finan for years, years of his sweet talking, his flirting, and years of having to tell yourself that he didn't mean it. That he didn't want you, but now he is here. Laying in your bed telling you all the things you have been wanting to hear.

“You don't have to say anything if you're not ready…i just wanted you to-” Finan’s words get cut off when you lean forward and capture his lips in yours. The shock he felt from the kiss caused him to pause but he quickly kissed back, moving his hand to your waist and pulling you closer. He deepens the kiss when he feels your hand slide up to his nape, softly tugging at his hair making a grunt escape from his lips.

Finan smirks in the kiss and softly nips at your bottom lip before slowly pulling away from the kiss. During the kiss you somehow ended up leaning against him, your leg draped over his middle. Finan opens his eyes to see you already looking at him.

“Whoa gorgeous, i could get drunk off these lips” His voice was husky, his thumb rubbing over your bottom lip. You giggle at his words and kiss his cheek before laying back down, your head on his shoulder and your hand on his chest, absentmindedly fidgeting with his cross.

“I taste better than ale huh?” You say breathlessly with a smirk as you tilt your head to look at him. The fire and the moonlight peeking through the window was giving you the perfect view of Finan. He was so beautiful, you remember telling him that once, that he was beautiful. You were drunk and Finan had laughed and brushed it off, little did you know that he was freaking out on the inside and that that was all he thought about for the rest of the night.

“Ohh way better love” He laughs, his hand under the blanket resting on your bare thigh draped over his middle. If the amazing kiss the two of you just shared didn't have his heart beating out of your chest, the sight of you definitely did. You were nestled into his side, your beautiful eyes looking up at him, your lips still plump and red from the kiss. You looked so pretty like this.

“I care for you, Finan” You whispered, you watched as a wide grin spread across Finan’s face. You really did care for him; you have for a while now. With your words you gave Finan your heart.

“Just promise that you won't regret this in the morning” you mumbled as you looked up at him, Finan sensed the worry in your tone, and he pulled you closer and looked down at you. He didn't like the sadness in your eyes, especially when this was supposed to be a happy moment. Finan leans down to kiss your forehead.

“The only thing I regret is that I didn’t tell you sooner” he promises as he looks into your eyes, his hand on your thigh tracing random things on it leaving goosebumps. You tried to move your leg, trying to get away from the tickling feeling, but Finan doesn't let you, he just grabs your thigh and squeezes it gently.

“I promise y/n” he whispers in the shell of your ear, his lip brushing against it. You giggle at the ticklish feeling and hide your face in his neck making him laugh. God you were so cute he thought. You closed your eyes and felt yourself relax in his arms.

“The thunder seems to be gone” he said after a few moments of silence between the two of you. You were so caught up in your thoughts, all of them being about Finan, that you didn't even notice.

“You kept me safe” you joked as you snuggled closer to him if it was possible. Finan smiled and kissed your forehead. He would always keep you safe in any situation, you meant so much to him. He was so thankful that he found the courage to tell you how he felt tonight, because he didn't think he could have handled another night of you not being his and vice versa.

“Always”

How were BBC Sherlock shippers so rancid about a WOMAN who wasnt even in the SAME SHOW?????

Martin Freeman of BBC Sherlock insulted Elementary and specifically Lucy Liu in the press. He straight up called Lucy Liu a "dog" in an interview APPARENTLY as a joke, because calling female actors ugly is hilarious. Benedict Cumberbatch was more measured about it, but he still said he was cynical about Elementary because it would lose the "male friendship" dynamic, which of course Johnlock shippers used against Joan Watson fans. Even the lead BBC Sherlock actors got in on the yaoi victimization of Joan Watson... 😔

she wasn't even in the same SHOW as the yaoi I've been convinced she deserves to win the entire poll. I was a Johnlocker but I did watch the first season of Elementary and it was fine????? It was totally okay????? Especially in hindsight given how hard Sherlock season four flopped. Also Lucy Liu is a queen and deserved zero vitriol for *checks notes* playing a character???? A fucking fictional character???????? Oh my god we were all SO mean to this show and we (or at least I) thought it was like The Good Fight™️, like we were defending BBC Sherlock against copyright infringement and straightwashing and Jonny Lee Miller's bizarre scarf, (it wasn't a good scarf I do stand by that) but then Elementary didn't make Holmes and Watson a couple either???? And also it didn't insult its audience constantly etc etc we've all seen the Hbomberguy Sherlock is Garbage video. This is really long sorry hashtag justice for Joan Watson.

she gets treated in-canon the way fandoms treat female characters that Threaten an m/m ship. it's like, "oh why don't you go sit in the corner and be pretty, misa, while the Men have intelligent conversation and pretend they aren't ten seconds from fucking each other, doesn't that sound nice?" it's infuriating. and MAYBE it's better now but i remember her getting treated the same way in fanfiction too, like we all need to do just as badly by our female secondary characters as fucking tsugumi ohba, but with the added insult of making her be alternately oblivious of the relationship between light and L or actively trying to sabotage it—incompetently, of course, because god forbid misa be allowed dignity or moments of cleverness.

she's one of the first characters I think of when I consider old school fandom misogyny. The annoying bitch and clingy crazy gf allegations were AFTER HER ASS. She's also a lot more intelligent than people gave her credit for, but most seem inclined to take the Very Biased word of our unreliable, narcissistic narrator and his homoerotic arch nemesis and claim that just because she's bubbly and into romance that she's also a complete moron. Which is blatantly untrue. Everyone was afraid of Misa girlbossing too hard. Killing people and devoting yourself to the deranged twink of your dreams even though you know he'll never love you back??? Having a hardcore goth aesthetic and being so Hot even literal Death Gods are into you?? God forbid women do ANYTHING!

Not only is she the victim of yaoi culture, she is the victim of early 2000s misogyny by an author that wanted to introduce a girl character because he knew his male rivals were getting too homoerotic. She is a goth bimbo icon who portrays what I think is one of the few callouts for stan culture and what parasocial relationships can do to both the stan and the idol. The fact that she is a toxic fan of Kira and also hot, funny, sociable is tragic in its own way, which I think the author did try to touch on but was too misogynistic too really get through. Of course, she was reduced to villain status by the fandom and anime alike because she got in the way of the supposed romance in their psychological horror anime.

Any chance you would be willing to expand on the Impulse and Grian confrontation? Or how their own reunion may go when Grian returns?

(I totally didn't go and binge a lot of their videos together once I read that ask and realised I hadn't watched a lot of their interactions.)

Ohhhhhh man.... Okay so i havent mapped this out beat for beat, but i do know this: Impulse sat on what Martyn told him for several hours before finally bringing it up to Grian in person. He was real conflicted about it too-- yknow when you just have that crystal clear certainty that the thing you're afraid of is true, and you dont want to acknowledge it?? He got real close to just. Deciding he wouldnt ask. He didnt want to know. He was genuinely a little scared of the answer.

But he did eventually bring it up later that day, because the theory wouldnt stop gnawing at him-- and he had to know for sure, so he could call Martyn back and tell him it was stupid, theres no way Grian would do that to anyone, let alone them, and Grian had sworn backwards and forwards that it wasnt his fault.

I think that quiet confrontation was fully just them, alone, at Grian's base-- the sun setting at their back, and Impulse telling Grian what Martyn had said in that awkward half-chuckle suggesting clearer than day what a ridiculous concept this was, right?? But Grian froze, and Grian didn't reply, and when Impulse-- dread sinking in his gut like an iron weight-- pressed further, Grian did not deny it. He said absolutely nothing, because that was it. The game was over. Someone had finally found out, and all his borrowed time was for nothing.

One of these days, i want to write out that confrontation, because i have this crystal clear image of Impulse taking a step back, voice wavering as he asks-- begs-- for Grian to tell him Martyn's wrong.

Grian never does.

But when you done that yourself? He is relieved, he would be scared that you are maybe afraid of him? Maybe he did something wrong..? Like lets be real, he is a serial killer, he wouldnt blame you. Ofc he would never say that out loud. But when he sees your body, he doesn't feel any diffrent about you - no matter what you were hiding. If you were insecure then he would be way nicer to you, showering you in kisses..maybe even more close activities..because he loves you for you.

☆ Homicidal Liu

Doesn't mind that you cover your body a lot, and doesn't really mind when you showed him - dont get me wrong, he loves that you feel comfortable and trust him that much, but he never wanted to push you. Also! Even if he finds you really attractive, then he is is in relationship with your for your amazing personality. But when he sees you? Man, I mean he doesn't complain. You are still the prettiest person he has ever seen! No matter what were you hiding - if it was just some insecurities or deformation! He would place kissess all over your body and complement you even more often (is that even possible??).

☆ 'Ticci' Toby

Curious boy!! There is a high chance that he actually aksed you about it..or! He didnt even noticed, he just..dunno, were with you and didnt thought about it. Why are you always so covered head to toes? Are you a spy? Maybe a magic creature? What are you hiding silly..? If you finally show your body and explain, he will be even more in love! Like you are such a dummy, he loves you anyway - no matter if you actually were hiding something like deformation, or if you were insecure. He would kiss all your bad thoughts away! I totally see Toby saying all this lovey-dovey stuff, he would be your number one supporter!

☆ Eyeless Jack

He noticed the way you always dress in a lot of clothes, no matter the weather..or how you try not too look into mirror whenever you pass them. Jack sense that something is wrong, and that you hiding something. He propably thought that its all becasue of him - are you scared? Disgusted? Maybe you didn't feel safe with him? The situation were killing you both, so he was so relieved when you told him the reason! Jack is a grown ass men, and no matter what were you hiding, he doesnt care. Like come on, he is literally a demon, there is no way you could scare him away! He would be even more clingy to you, caring about your well being and always put you first.

☆ Ben Drowned

Ben can be a huge tease about how you dress, he would make a lot of this sex related jokes, so it wasnt easy to you. No worries, he loves you a lot, you are his bestfriend and partner..but he was wondering what is wrong. At first he thought that its just your style (he doesn't judge, he is a ghost himself!!), but you were always covering your body so he got more suspicious. But when he finally sees your body? When you finally tell him what was wrong? He was glad you cared so much about him, that you were so trusting. He wouldn't make a big deal out of it - like oh, you look pretty..now wanna play with him? Ben made you place already..(this place is definitely his arms tho!)

☆ Laughing Jack

Jack is really touchy, he just clings to you like koala and its hard to make him stop. So its pretty obvious that he noticed how you were a bit distant sometimes, always making excuses and stuff. He was pretty miserable because of that, you are his S\O ..he wants you to feel safe and comfortable around him.. So he start asking a lot of questions, most of them were pretty random, druing normal conversations. But he waited..and it was totally worth it - he immediately hugs you and give you a lot of kisses! He would spend hours and hours praising and worshipping you..no worries, he has all the time in the world!

ISO advice.

I've written up some notes on how I want my discussion with my landlord to go. I have two options.

1) for the sake of keeping things as stable as possible, I've made a plan that relies on lying to cover my own ass and maintain the state of the home as it is, ie, to tell her that the reason I initially contacted her last month hoping to plan a phone call between us (things were too busy for both of us until now) was out of concern for several issues in the home directly relating to [Pins Girl] but thankfully the issue has resolved itself. I think it would be in my best interest to vouch for the new girl, and to pretend that she hasn't been living here off the record for over 6 months. However, I must confess: I am a terrible liar. It causes me discomfort. My speech becomes stilted unless I convince myself that a lie is the truth, or I simply choose the path of omission. I can do that with enough preparation. I certainly have had the the time to do so and have been preparing myself. That's easy. However my landlord is a lawyer. I have a great deal of respect for lawyers and women in general– and when it comes to her concerns irt this house, and the people who live here... I understand completely. Does that mean I'm prepared to screw them all over? Absolutely not. But I have to think of what's best in this situation. I intend to go into this with the explicit intention of, most of all, establishing a positive rapport– that's my primary goal, because i sense a growing animosity between those in this home and her (and I don't want to be put on the losing side....... which..... would almost inevitably be that which currently has zero lawyers on it)... I've been on the observing side and the recieving end of this animosity here... and I know that their issues have little to do with her, or this house, and are ideological in nature. They all perceive hostility where there is none. The unemployed FTM has mentioned 3 times (at least that I've managed to overhear) that he takes offense to her contacting us via her work email because he sees it as an "intimidation tactic". "Are you insane. That's literally just her email you god damn goof. "She loves to just FLAUNT that she has this big swanky lawyer job, and she wants us be afraid"– of what? Oh maybe of evicting us because you've put yourself in a position where that's possible. Amazing. I dont perceive a woman with an education and a JOB as a threat but I could see how that might hit hard to a lazy misogynistic NEET. This woman has stated in her most recent email that she would as much as possible like to prevent the adding and removing people from the lease willy nilly so as to avoid this place becoming a revolving door for just whoever feels like being here since that's a situation that she reasonably knows could lead to a goddamn nightmare housing scenario.

Option 2) If I say Hey [PG] put us in some real hot water and is now jumping out of the pot and leaving us to deal with it, and now we're all in a position where we now have to choose between getting this unbelievably messy person (true and it wasnt an issue to anyone but the hazbin hotel cokehead basement dweller but this girl is planning on moving into the room next to mine as soon as PG vacates..... hellish.) put on the lease, OR, having here here off the record and potentially putting us at risk of eviction and totally screwing all of us over. Since I am of the understanding that while what they are doing here with the new roommate is technically legal, according to ontario tenancy law, that despite it going against the lease, she has no grounds to evict us over this. My understanding of this is very little but the upstairs people are very intelligent and seem certain that nothing will come of her pursuing any legal action based on us having an additional roommate here that isn't on lease. I doubt how true this claim is. I could propose that since the true Problem Tenant is moving out in 3 days, that in exchange for having me on the inside to update her on quite literally anything and everything she needs to know, she consider..... idk. Not adding the new girl, for starters, since she is a certified Problems Tenant. And then, if she really wants to find something to evict over... she would have me on her side to get that done and over with so long as she agrees to keep me out of hot water when all is said and done.

So yes I could either lie my ass off and chit chat as though I always intended it for this conversation to not be more than me establishing a line of communication for the good of both parties– or I could propose a sort of covert deal with the landlord. And if she does choose to pursue evicting the others--- maybe, at the very least, she will trust me enough to let me keep living in peace in my little bedroom sanctuary. Maybe I'd even get to have some sort of input on who else gets to move in. My god. We could get rid of all the horrific bullshit decor. Make this place look nice for once. Holy fuck. Yeah fuck these people think about the long term gains. Is it selfish? Yes. But think of the beautiful possibilites. This is a gorgeous home. I could even fill her head with the idea of my tradie dad doing some pro-bono renos and tell her all about how he built an entire basement in my parents house out of what had initially been a bug infested yearly-flooding concrete tomb. Sure it took him until 3 years ago to even start doing all that and it just kinda sat there in its shit state for 15+ years but I mean... he didnt have the money til he got a good job. Then dude just went and built an entire bathroom out of scratch. The place looks fantastic. Well.... that's a thought. He'd do it too. Dude loves a project. BUT I'm getting ahead of myself. LOL.........

In about 2 hours, I'll have to make the right call. So. Advice? Am I crazy? AITA?? Ontologically Evil? These people will be utterly fine if they have to vacate. That's just the reality of the situation. And yes. The landlord has pre-emptively agreed that this conversation will stay between us. Hehe

Thoughts. okay so the total drama drama drama drama island special is interesting mainly bc of team e-scope but im going to take a moment here to ramble about his dynamic with other people here,,

(oh and i didn't have anywhere really to slot it into the other post or segue into it here but dodgebrawl as a Moment demonstrates how [this AU] noah can play the social game, just in a very very different way than how it's normally seen.

he knows what he's doing is going to bother his team and incentivize them to vote, i'd say in this au he even plays up the cockiness and makes veiled personal slights against specific people

(mainly those who would be annoyed enough to vote him off, see: heather, justin, leshawna, cody/trent to some extent if he said smth about gwen? < and gwen herself in that scenario. and to another extent beth, since hes playing up his outright mean traits, which would make lindsay vote with her. i dont think he would do anything specific to/with owen or izzy, since he may see izzy as too volatile and owen too genuine)

in the opposite way of whats expected, sure, but it is a social play. he can pick apart what these people are and what they show and push at it to achieve his own ends (and maybe its even some sort of way for him to regain control in this fundamentally uncontrollable situation he's found himself in; he can be the punishment in foucalt's imagining, to a much smaller degree))

so his teammates,,, do not like him tbh. his flagrant display during dodgeball and everyone being pissed at him after the fact is true in this AU, just coming with different motivations. even after the fact when the frustration of everyone fizzles out, hes still majorly offputting because of his detachedness, and deliberately makes his shown traits very unpalatable to experience in person combined with that.

the only two exceptions are izzy and owen respectively: owens mostly coming from a place of genuineness and im going to say while he wouldnt be able to verbalize it, in some manner owen would clock noahs behavior as a defense mechanism. maybe in the sense of 'hes just scared to open up to people!!' or something similar, but he definitely has a lot more faith that noah really isnt that cold and flat.

[*]izzy feels much the same -- except maybe it comes off more to her as strategic. izzy can act, and might recognize that in noah. if you wanted to you could write this in as to why she was eager to swap teams in the first episode, but it wouldnt change that he does get eliminated and thats all she sees of him until the special -- which, her intrigue in his lacking and the fact that it apparently wasnt strategic to get him further in the game, could help explain why she picks him in the team-up.

[*i have soooo much to say about izzy in this au actually. but ill save it for a diff post]

and speaking of the team-up: team e-scope!!!! :0

my au my rules eva and izzy became really good friends on the playa; izzy isn't afraid of eva (and curbing her anger before it reaches a boiling point) and eva is physically adept enough to restrain izzy from Shenanigans that might be a little Much. but eva doesnt really?? know anything about noah?? but izzy insists on teaming with him for the special (and unbeknownst to her noah wasnt even planning to participate initially) so he must be some level of Not Too Bad if izzy wants anything to do with him that doesnt seem to be related to tormenting the guy

and she thinks hes Fine. apathetic and detached and unpalatable (but then again, everyone in their little trio really is to some degree), but can kind of understand izzys intrigue: hes still A Guy, hes just hidden behind 20 layers of non-substance that are so offputting from the first meeting it makes people steer clear of him.

now with tddddi comes two other pertinent details: the justin line, and the Thing With Duncan.

i personally thing noahs 'he's the anti-me' line is really funny in the context of canon but if you squint it kinda works here? wherein justin is non-speaking yet flaunts himself to be the center of attention and clearly shows intent and capacity to scheme (underdeveloped or no, see: awakeathon), whereas noah speaks a lot yet lets himself fade into the background, showing vague hints of the capacity to scheme but no intention or palpable ambition behind it.

^ am i reaching? maybe. the other option here is noah somehow has seen him in-person before on a modeling or red carpet kind of gig and dislikes him on principle because of it/its a jab at it (smth smth they are both opposite ends of the same industry? justin is the face of it in a manner where noah stays behind the scenes and out of sight)

and the thing with duncan,, hear me out here okay noah does his whole song and dance, goes up to him and patronizes him, and duncan retaliates. however, he curses like a sailor and in noah's head has ruined the footage, therefore instead of further retaliating and potentially invoking actual physical harm he just. doesnt react. at all. duncan looks up at him and hes just dead-eyed staring down at him -- and then he leaves.

^ the scene has been ruined, and everyone else is doing so much that theres no reason to play it up any more. duncan and him arent plot important like how heather and lindsay were, theres no reason for the crew to painstakingly edit his swearing out. they just wont let it reach the final cut. duncan is understandably very confused by this, but at that point noah was already gone to find eva and izzy again (< this is when the cast having a running bet that noahs and android becomes Not a Joke)

but life goes on!!! and in the worlds worst comedy of errors (for noah), izzy ends up dragging him along into the lake, thereby leaving him as a confirmed member of the next season.

^ noah is so angry at this. popping blood vessels. he argues with chris endlessly, straight frothing at the mouth at only having two days of real reprieve before he has to deal with the Same Shit again. and chris gets this, to some degree, but also knows that if theres no explanation for noahs non-appearance to hand the producers, theyll be pissed (since all things considered, noahs pretty damn popular among the fans)

luckily for him, courtney just filed a lawsuit against the show!! and since chris is busy running said show, the producers do not want to deal with it and are willing to hand off the case to anyone else -- hence, chris officially signs noah on as his PA, and noah takes over the court settlements and whatnot.

< though i do imagine the producers would see it as a 'get out of the show' scheme, and thereby push way harder for his involvement in WT as a result

but noah does get a break!!! for now, at least.

see maybe this is just me, but As A Character Designer Myself i think the rain code designs are some of komatzuzaki's best work yet. they're weird and campy and yet they work so well. i do think the characters' personalities shine through on first and second glances. I don't even usually like neon colors but I think the combo of bright neons with understated neutrals is so fascinating and memorable. no one else does it like this. a lot of the small details on the designs are actually packed with symbolic meaning (esp. yakou's - I'd love to see you unpack all that) and the overabundance of logos is evocative of the corpo-cyber-future setting. the rain code designs feel much more cohesive in terms of that setting than the DR designs do - which makes sense bc DR is more about disparate people being united by their circumstances - dialed to 11 in v3 where the designs are at their wackiest. but this ain't about her this is about rain code.

I love that characters you wouldn't expect (zange, fubuki, priest...) have weird facial piercings and tattoos. I love that the animal ears are never explained. I love desuhiko's tboy swag and yeah, the golden yellow and the dirty blonde and the neon yellow accents don't look great together - and I think the clashing colors work wonders to establish his personality. this kid dressed himself and thought it would make him look cool. you idiot. aphex's hat is stupid. zilch's ears are stupid. vivia's bandages-instead-of-clothes are stupid - and yet reading into that choice is very insightful. (he puts on a lazy air but if he was really lazy he'd just put on an oversized emo band tee instead of wrapping himself up like a mummy every day. he actually does care about how he comes across to people.)

there's a few videos about fashion YouTubers judging the DR fits, and at one point they brought in Yuma and shinigami and they hated yuma's outfit so much because it's dorky and they wouldn't wear it. but like!!! that's the whole point is that it's dorky!!!! his little trainee shorts. his stupid fkin bowl cut making him look like a little boy whose mom still cuts his hair. (which of course turns out to be a meaningful deception. his haircut influences how the audience and other characters see him to great effect.) and yet he has the coolest fkin shoes ever and when he puts his hat and cape on he's got such an iconic silhouette. teru teru bozu lookin ass /pos.

anyway yeah. i wasnt a fan of komatzuzaki's designs in the beginning but over the years ive come around. I'm a firm designer that a character design doesn't necessarily have to look good to be a good character design. I like it when they aren't afraid to make the characters look cringe - I love cringe. I eat it up. thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Even more perspectives! I think your take of 'bad-looking designs can be good actually' is a great way to look at Rain Code's characters. To put it simply, it's unique! 'Nobody does it like Komatsuzaki'-kind of campiness. Honestly, Rain Code's designs remind me a lot of Danganronpa 2's designs in terms of color. That cast is full of much brighter colors compared to the lesser saturation of DR1 n V3's cast colors. And it makes sense cause it's a brighter game overall in terms of setting and upping the ridiculousness of the killing game in every way! Rain Code sorta follows that with its own designs by crankin' up the neons to really ride the idea home that this game is wacky right from the get-go and it's a Resident Evil game in disguise! And y'know what Resident Evil loves to indulge in? Campiness! Rain Code wears its inspirations on its sleeve, and that's totally chill.

As a sidenote to your sidenote regarding Yakou's clothing details, I have actually written a bit about how he might perceive them, but I haven't yet written about what they could truly mean in terms of how they relate to him narratively. The meaning of the phoenix patterns are painfully obvious though heh. And I also greatly appreciate the recognition that Vivia really does care about his appearance despite his 'laziness'. His hedonistic lifestyle includes his own attire, wearing whatever he pleases no matter the effort! Like I've preached before, Vivia has the energy, he just prefers to use it only when necessary.

I totally agree that the revs have a drug class and iva sends them through the ringer. Sabo doesnt react to the drugs a lot, hes slightly loopy on weed and almost like normal levels of calm on heroin but everyone in the room is legit afraid of the idea of sabo on crack. Like bring dragon into the room just in case levels of calm.

Except sabo is completely normal on meth. Like Sabo is just normal Sabo when on meth they wouldnt think he wasnt sober if they'd not seen iva drug him. That somehow scared everyone more then if he'd lost his mind

But the aftermath is probably not great probably face down in a ditch sweating the works

Also iva put everyone through the genderbender wringer too, especially cismale soldiers and staff like it would do you well to learn a few things about being a lady

My friend sent me this song cause bleachblonde sampled it and like oh my god it's so fucking good I can't even begin to start talking about it just that riff with the room mic vocals AND THAT FUCKING CHORUS LIKE OH MY GOD NEVER A WASTE OF MY TIIIIIIME it's such a sad song and it really reminds me a lot of my past like when I was a Rochester indie emo kid at age 15 recording folk music in my bedroom but idk it's different it doesn't make me feel bad in the same way like listening to the stuff from back then makes me feel (like I'm going to slip back to that time period and fall into depression again.) good song tho

couture23/Remy cechovic/instagram_filter is one of my favorite artists with more good songs than I can remember but this one in particular sticks out to me, teks part is good but god Remy's verse with the delivery being so quiet and almost shy over such an emotive and dense beat with the lyrics "going from swingsets and basketball courts to being sat in a room, being told all the rules" it's so nostalgic and sad and just heartwrenching it just makes me want to cry

Lucy is another one of my favorite artists, his style is so unique and his like vocal style is so versatile it's crazy... his imagery and the words he chooses to use in his lyrics feel almost old timey in a way...idk really how to put it other than that but it makes me think of my old orthodontists office that I used to go to when I was 8 that was completely decked out in sea themed everything, just something about it... also I love the video with him throwing the minion plush around while singing :)

herstory is someone who I actually know on here as well as a super insanely talented producer and singer... I love all of his songs and stuff with the band los3r but this one in particular is super fukn good, the vocals feeling like a cry out over the guitar and just exploding into that last section I mean like come on it's fucking incredible

cg is another rly cool person I know from social media as well as a good rapper... the beat in this song feels really loose and like it's barely holding itself together it's really cool, the pluck sound I really love too lol... I also love the line "I feel like stewie griffin with the cool whip"

I don't even know where to begin with this song... the whole composition is so fucking insane and beautiful, the first part with the mp3 compression and click sound feels like what the first day of snow in winter always feels like 2 me idk how to put it... and the lyrics "don't take me home tonight, I'm not feeling right, stumbling towards the light" paint a very specific picture in my head that I've actually tried to draw before.. in late winter to early spring I went through an almost total mental collapse where I was constantly afraid and super fucking angry and suicidal and was having awful mood swings where I wasnt able to cope with living for much longer cause it brought me so much pain emotionally, and this whole song feels like what that kind of fear felt like...kinda paranoia but not really there's kinda anger in it but also feeling like you're alone and super vulnerable and it's just oh my god the part at 1:38 fucking chills down my spine every time I think it's my favorite song right now it's brutal and soul crushing and just too much to put into words...
