#before there was barbie summer there was mamma mia summer and it was beautiful #i distinctly remember my mum and older sibling going to see it whilst i went to see narnia at the same time #and then they decided i would like it and it was age appropriate (i was just told to look away during lay all your love on me LMAO)#so we went back to see it and it rewired my brain chemistry forever #i have several memories of listening to the songs or talking about it with friends that year #and going on holiday and playing the soundtrack cd non stop in the car #and then we got mamma mia summer take 2 and it was just as good i saw it twice at the cinema and weeped both times #i literally subscribed to apple music so i could have the soundtracks easily accessible #(my 2018 replay playlist is the entire soundtrack album followed by a selection of other songs)#and i think we need that energy again!!!#talking

So, rewatching armandaniel scenes til the finale drops, I randomly noticed that when Armand apologizes to Daniel about them bringing up Alice rejecting his marriage proposal, he basically tells Daniel "Louis shouldn't have done that". As if only Louis went into his memories and read his mind.

Does that mean Armand didn't? I always thought this was him reading Daniel's mind, since he's the one who notices and brings it up first:

If he wasn't reading his mind, then how did Armand know Daniel was thinking of his own bad memories of France in that moment instead of Claudia's?

If he wasn't reading it off of his head...was Armand realizing and remembering? As if he was there?

Sure, the next part of him telling Daniel what Alice was feeling was suspicious too and we keep mentioning it since the episode aired. That alone is fishy and fuels all our Alice theories. But Armand basically implying he didn't go into Daniel's memories is crazy, then how the fuck did he realize where Daniel's mind was going with "France sucks"?

DIFFICULT QUESTIONS, DIFFICULT QUESTIONS. Serie A fans, Italians, residents of the lovely city of Genoa, I am asking you to pitch in here bc I am pulling things out of my ass!

I don't know if Luca Marinelli has a club he supports; he was born in Rome, but I don't want to assume Roma or Lazio just because of that! It's maybe a little more reasonable to assume Genoa CFC or Sampdoria for Nicolo, since he predates the literal country of Italy and might be more likely to have region-specific loyalties, but I also don't know anything about those clubs and their history! For all I know, Nicolo Di Genova supports a massively obscure Serie D club that hasn't existed since the 1960s and bitterly hates all other clubs for being Flashy and Modern and having bad ownership, I don't know!

(also sorry to any Juventus girlies out there, I truly cannot see Nicky as a Juve fan I just can't. I feel like he would be a bit of a snobby hipster about Juve's popularity and its marketing outside Serie A for some reason).

Random thought but I do think that fun can be such a good marker of whether or not something is healthy for you or even sometimes if it’s just good in general.

#of course not always! because we can be really blind #and stubborn #but also I mean over the course of time if something is still #fun #and it’s GOOD fun pure fun TRUE fun. the kind that bubbles up like joy and surprise and delight #and a bit of soda pop fizzle #that’s such a good sign that it IS good and it is good for you!!!#anyway I’ve been thinking a lot about investment in celebrities’ personal lives #and yes yes not a weakness of many but absolutely a weakness of MINE #I was thinking about how it often happened that at the height of an obsession of mine with a celebrity/their life it would stop being fun!!#And I would become absolutely miserable #because I was expending emotional energy where I didn’t need to be #and so I would have to draw way back. and when I did time would pass and life would unfold #and now it’s like—-I hope Taylor and Travis get engaged #it would be sooooo fun for me as a long time swift stan and care-abouter of Taylor’s happiness #and as a lover of romance and engagements #and also because engagements are front-facing in nature! they belong to the public a little bit!#in some small measure! so it would be appropriate to care and rejoice #and also I couldn’t take it very far or for very long until it was (again) no longer my business #but I guess my point is: fun is a good indicator of where that line is #it will stop being fun when it stops being relevant/personal/applicable/news I can actually participate in and rejoice in honestly #on another note sometimes in my teaching I will hear students discussing who I should marry #and it is—for a brief moment—so fun for me actually. it’s pure and funny and a reminder that THEY believe I could find romance #and should. and also if I were to take them seriously for a second. if I were to be like ‘hey can you guys set me up’#it would instantly become Not Fun anymore for them AND for me and that’s just !!!!!!!#idk i think it’s super important (and also super important to have a well-honed sense of fun I guess) (but that’s another conversation #ANYWAY #some THOUGHTS

#joe iconis christmas extravaganza #13th annual xmas #do i mean being floored like oh even to hear of it; do i mean that it happened; do i mean that joe iconis shared the whole scene asap?
