we're missing Liam Kosta in this club viciously tonight friends
#mass effect: andromeda#liam kosta#i just stumbled upon an old fic i half-wrote#and re-reading it.... i had this man call my girl Ellie (Elliot) 'El' and 'baby' with every second breath#and they had such fun silly STUPID banter even in steamy situations#that romance; it really felt like such a natural friends to best friends to lovers#no apprehensive 'figuring you out' period no 'what's your deal' my man just woke up waved at a random chick and that was it#and i just keep thinking about how many times i've heard happy old couples say that they met like that#well. not in the andromeda galaxy after 600 years of cryostasis#but the “I saw her from across the room” type of instant connection stories#i know they're unrealistic. I do. and i know it's uncommon in reality for something like that to work#but “I saw her; said hi; she said hi back; and i knew instantly that she'd be my best friend”?#that just sounds like his wedding vows tbqh with you#i remember that fic idea i had#“and down goes the sky” i called it#and it was mostly platonic with this one romantic scene at the very end#that would have just been the two of them sharing a cigarette on the ramparts outside the vortex#and i'm still sad that i never ended up writing it#maybe someday still#maybe i'll replay mass effect in whole and write it#if the next game ever does end up coming out

i’ve finally been able to collect some of my thoughts on the tour! under the cut if you want to read my yapping
- First of all we were really far away like almost all the way in the back of the balcony. We could still see the stage obviously but i couldn't really see their faces :( if i was doing it again i'd sit closer lol.
- The dolls were incredible. they really did all that
- Our conspiracies were toilet, clothes, tour bus and wedding which now that i've seen what the other ones are, i think was a pretty good combination. Tour bus was actually crazy like.. I mean i'm not too surprised that it was true but i AM shocked that they actually confirmed it! Like what!! I didn't even know about that conspiracy beforehand so yeah i was gagged
- They yapped for a minute about pizza. Phil hates cheese but loves pizza WHY it’s because pizza tastes like its own thing. One time dan PRANKED him by getting pizza with GOAT CHEESE on it and phil hated it. (phil’s wording lol, it wasn’t actually a prank) Also they said the best pizza they ever had was here in boston! And it had soy sauce on it apparently
- “Doesn't matter babe” did happen, i wasn’t sure if i heard it right but i was like “did he just say that?” i figured it was just part of the script but apparently not. I witnessed phistory
- They said “wang” so many times they LOVEDD the fact they were in the wang theater
- The fight was so funny i borrowed my friends binoculars for a minute so i got to zoom in on them slap fighting like 5 year olds and phil choking dan with a cable. why are they gay
- I SCREAMED when sister daniel came out like that was taylor swift levels of screaming from me. I knew that would happen but seeing her in the flesh was something else
- I appreciated how real they got. I think they balanced it with humor just the right amount but still went deep into stuff!
- the song was AMAZING it’s still stuck in my head and i’m gonna need that on spotify as soon as the tour is over. it was so clever to have it be from either perspective and the lyrics honestly made me cry!! but it was also such a banger!!!
This was kind of a schrodingers hard launch. They’re being open and honest about their relationship, but they also realize that a lot of the fun of the phandom IS the conspiracies and reading into things and the teasing. We have fun with it and they have fun with it, if they tell us everything then what’s left? It's like a sitcom that loses interest when the big will-they-won’t-they couple gets together. There’s a mutual understanding here, and the mysteries and intrigue are such a big part of the fun that we’re going to keep doing it. At least for now.
overall this show made me feel so happy to be part of the phandom. our parasocial relationship with them has been a rocky one, toxic at times, and at one point we thought it was so over but we are SO BACK. THEY LOVE US and WE LOVE THEM and we kinda need each other!! i’m so excited to see where they go from here.

Security Breach: Valentine's Day Headcanons! 💌
The Glamrocks & The DCA x Reader l SFW
I've never made a headcanons list before so bear with me, also yes I know I'm two days late
Glamrock Freddy ˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗
Omg he
is baby
Has been looking forward to celebrate this holiday one day and is so happy he met you!!!
When he first heard of the holiday he was so excited for it and gossiped about it constantly with Chica
Asking for advice from several friends and even staff members, he was repeatedly told to just 'treat your partner,' so that's what he did!
Lots of hugs all DAY he is the best hugger in the Pizzaplex, and he's so warm. He will also be carrying you around everywhere bridal style if that doesn't bother you, he just loves physical touch
he's holding your hand the wholeeee time <3333
Freddy would offer to take you to dinner with him, but since he can't leave the Pizzaplex you would be going to one of the restaurants in the mall. He's an old fashion lover boy he loves the classic date style
He has the staff bots catering for both of you and they're all dressed up with cute bows
or if you don't want to eat out in one of the restaurants he would happily eat dinner with you in his room
Ofc he's traditional and brings the bouquet and a note card full of adorations for you <3333 ending it off with 'love you forever and ever'
and if you gift him flowers he will instantly make room for it on his dresser and try to preserve it for as long as possible, always looking at it during his days
and if you give him a note he'll be a gushy mess and give you so many hugs and kisses, and will keep the note forever (and keep the more to come) in a hidden box in the storage room. Can't have staff coming to throw something as important away!
now if you two aren't together already he's going to be a mess
gets you a plushie thatsohappenstobehimself because he thinks you would like it <3 it's special addition too for valentine's day with pink accents and when you squeeze it it says 'I love you bear-y much!'
will be serenading you all night with songs
Glamrock Chica ˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗
literally one of her favorite holidays
not only is it pink but it's also about YOU, her favorite person
since the pizzaplex is covered with her favorite color she's already ecstatic, and would love to just wonder around with you to see all the decorations
She would offer to go to dinner with you but the twist is she's cooking
girl knows how to make anything you ask
AND you can help and it'll be fun and cute and she'll get so GUSHY the whole time
but you'll also probably end up making pizza
the pepperoni is heart shaped <33 and so is the pizza, and all the cooking supplies with be valentine's day themed with hearts and pink handles, and she'll have a pink apron that says 'please kiss the chef' or something like that, with a small quote on the pocket that says 'be mine' with a heart and an arrow through it
once you finish your dinner she'll have a selection of treats too, specifically chocolate themed
shopping, you both WILL be going shopping
she would want to do matching couple outfits, or just several outfits and take millions of pictures with you all over the pizzaplex
one of them with be you both sharing a pocky stick and then another with you both kissing and AHHH
chica would want something to match with you to wear all the time, maybe a bracelet or a necklace, maybe an earring, something to think of you while you're away
the date will probably end with you both baking whatever pastry you like, but there's a good chance it'll be chocolate cupcakes!
of course she'll have a handful of valentine cupcake decor for it, with hearts as the sprinkles and cute wrapping
you both can hand them out to the other animatronics as gifts and then go back to her room and cuddle :3
will be singing your hearts out too, most likely to ABBA while dancing around her room
it's got sleep over vibes and she'll give you some pink pajamas
Now if you give her a gift she'll read the card out loud all happy and smiley and pin it next to her mirror to see it every morning <3
she'll give you a plush at the very end of the night of herself, and since she's already pink the plush will have reds as accents instead of the greens, her earrings are heartssss. And when you squeeze the plush it says 'You stole a pizza my heart!'
This is becoming a trend as you can tell
Roxanne Wolf ˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗
isn't too excited on valentine's day, or at least acts like she isn't
she says it's too 'mushy' and the whole romantic aspect of it is just super overkill
but
when she says she's 'no romantic' but will be racing around the tracks leaving marks in shapes of hearts
she's spoiling you, will get you anything you want
already has flowers and a love letter, and as cool as she acts the love letter is actually really sappy and cute
also gives you a plush of herself
its got her green hair tip pink instead with pink claws, and when you squeeze it it says 'you make my heart race!'
won't even ask if she can take you on a date she already knows it's a yes, who could say no to her?
will however ask you what you want to be doing, not really sure herself. She may be confident but she has no idea what she's doing
now IF you two weren't together already and she was wanting to ask you out for Valentine's Day, it would be a struggle with her ego getting in the way, but HER having to ask? Come on she's Roxanne Wolf
But also at the same time everyone should be swooning over her, so there's no way you would say no
Right?
but then she realizes she's still cool, who gives a fuck, and will ask you out on a date
you both will be doing some gaming to bond over, ofc you will be doing Roxy's Raceway first, and she even lets you winnnnn
She even gives you your own personal medal
but after that you both will be at the arcades playing co-op games togetherrrrr
with all the tokens you've both won you both definitely are going to the Prize Counter
if you get anything Roxy related her tail is wagging but DON'T point it out
would rent one of those karaoke rooms to sing with you, trying to not show off in the process
it'll be ten times funnier though if you can't sing, you both won't be able to stop giggling
to end the day you both will go to her room and do each other's makeup while in each other's laps
You know that one meme of the two girls doing each other's makeup? It's that
Roxy will go over all the Valentine's Day cards she got from all her fans, and you can tell it's giving her such an ego boost by how happy she looks and the way she wags her tail
and you both get a good laugh at how wild some of them are too
Montgomery Gator ˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗
Monty's similiar to Roxy in thinking Valentine's Day is a mushy holiday, why go all out with heart eyes at you, he already does that everyday
but, he kind of wants to do something for you when he sees how excited you are about it the week before
He's the type of guy that writes down every anniversary and has a plan and knows what to say and knows what he wants to do to surprise you but then the week it's there he forgets
And then feels really bad about it because he's a last minute planner
HOWEVER if it's your first Valentine's Day he's stressing for weeks
Never would he have thought he would care about this holiday, and by this much, but he does
He has to ask Freddy where he got his flowers because he's been trying to figure this shit out for ages
he doesn't know what he's doing but he's gonna act like he knows what he's doing
won't ask you directly at first if you want to have a date but instead throw a show for you instead, at his own stage at the golf course
and then after that offer to golf with you
while not directly asking you to be his valentine
But he let's you win a few games too
then coughs grabs the flowers he got for you, along with a plush of himself. And also your own golf club with your favorite colors and his signature on it with a heart, he says its not a heart though it's just a random scribble he did on accident
DON'T LAUGH AT IT he's already not great at this sentimental stuff but he's trying!
the plush also is special addition with a pink mohawk and pink shoulder pads and when you squeeze it it says 'you rock my world!'
will be hanging out with you for the rest of the day, mostly asking you what you want to do, secretly wanting to have a dinner but not saying it
maybe next year
seeing you this happy makes him want to go all out next year, so long as he remebers
ends the night with you two in his room and, now that he's more comfortable and confident with how the day went is singing sweet nothings to you while you both cuddle
And if you give him a card oh man. He's oddly silent at first which worries you, but he quickly tries to hide the grin he has and hides his head, looking away as he wraps an arm around you
He keeps it hidden in the storage room behind his green room along with the items he's collected from you, safe and secure to make sure it never gets damaged
oh yeah he's definitely going all out next year
Glamrock Bonnie ˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗
he's a flirt
would def want to just do regular activities with you, but WILL be taking one of the karaoke rooms for you both to sing your hearts out
isn't copying Roxy they both had the same idea and will see each other and Roxy WILL be talking to him later about how he's a copy cat
and of course bowling, you two HAVE to do that
mf will try and get you flustered while acting oblivious, he'll try and show you how to bowl and caress his hands over yours
man's wanting to shop too, trying on outfits with you is such a fun experience
just everything he wants to do everything with you, it doesn't matter
does have a small dinner planned and will eat in Bonnie Bowl with you
you both will be getting ice cream served as well
also that personal stage of his, he's singing sweet songs to you
he's sitting with his legs over the stage and a guitar in his lap and he's just a smooth talker he KNOWS what to say to make you flustered and red
his flowers aren't as over the top as others, with just a smaller and simpler bouquet, but he gets the flowers you like
along with chocolate that aren't valentine's day themed but easter themed
no reason why, he just likes the shape of them
Now if you give him a card he's secretly trying to not stomp his feet in excitement, reading it loudly for others to hear and embarrass you, even if he's turning pink from it
the plush he gives you has him in a pink outfit, and when you squeeze it says 'you make my heart leap!'
The Daycare Attendant Sun ˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗
sun makes you
so many crafts you don't understand
wasn't able to get flowers but DOES make some craft flowers for you in one giant bouquet, full of your favorite flowers
and if you give them flowers Sun will keep it in their room, before finally deciding to scrap book them by pressing them forever
and the card they give you is so intricate hand-made card for you too, with glitter and hearts and even paper cut outs that pop out when you open it!
of course sun would have a million scrap books, several all about their favorite and only valentine <3
you both will most likely spend your day in the daycare since they aren't exactly allowed to leave
you both will be making valentine's day themed crafts but also take TONS of pictures for their scrap book (and you can even make your own scrapbook too to take home)
will venture out to the theatre however to put on a few funny shows and even listen to the staff bot, just for sun to complain about how this isn't COMEDY
sun will eventually just take over and make their own show just for YOU and it'll be the funniest shit
will give you the biggest plush they could find of themselves, to then realize there's no valentine's day special edition with the big sizes, so they grab you a second smaller one instead to go along with the big one
instead of the yellow it's pink, and when you squeeze it it says 'You brighten my day, Sunshine!'
both sun's and moon's plushies cupid themed with a bow and heart arrow since they both can "fly"
The Daycare Attendant Moon ˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗
breakfast in bed :3
isn't as into valentine's day as Sun but that's maybe because they never really receive a lot of cards that day
but when they do Moon just shines so bright and will read the cards they get to you
now since things have to be dark to spend valentine's day with them you both make it work!
movie night and cuddles, the wholeeeee day
you both have the entire theater to yourselves
although the DCA doesn't do theatre anymore they have saved videos of pervious shows that they show you
and if YOU give them a card it will go straight to their heart and will have it pinned up in a private area just for them to look at
will crawl away and come back with some handmade gifts, with flowers of course of course
and a plushie that has a red outfit instead of the blue, and when you squeeze it it says 'i love you to the moon and back' sobbing
and, if you can convince them, you both can go through the VIP exit and stargaze together
and once you've gone back to work you will find several love cards hidden all around your work area that they hid the night before
it takes you FOREVER to find them all, ranging from your desk to your locker

I saw you post about Seafarers, but to me, your finest work will always be Fifteen Notes to You, reread all of it the other day and... yeah, it still hits like a fucking bullet train.
I genuinely don't think it's possible to capture Mono's descent into insanity better than you did here. It reminds me a little of The Last Weekend from the anthology Inside no.9, in that, you know, both from the story itself and the context it exists in, that it won't have a happy ending, but the humanization of the characters just forces you to cling to hope that something will go right. But that rarely, if ever, happens in The Nowhere.
FNTY... Now THAT'S a name I haven't heard in years...
Thank you so much!!!! I'm super grateful to see folks still enjoy my old stories :)it seems to be the general consensus even among my friends that FNTY is the best complete fic I've put out. Reading thru the comments, I remember one of a person who told me that it made them cry - and the comment made ME cry LMAOOOOOOO😭
I'm very proud of it myself as it was not only my first published fic, but my first multichaptered fic I ever completed as well. Though I am a slow writer (SEAFARERS CHAPTER 5 IS IN THE WORKS😭), for FNTY it was never because I had excessive trouble figuring out what to put on paper - especially never when in regards to the letters themselves. The most troubling parts were the in betweens, funnily enough.
Mono and Thin Man come very naturally to me when writing. I think it may be because I tend to interpret them as having very big feelings... like myself, I guess. And since the story itself is short, I suppose that I managed to make the thing itself feel like there are many big feelings in a tiny box. I will admit I got emotional myself a couple of times... then went on to edit like nothing was wrong LMAOOOO like this is how I looked writing and then editing vvv
For Seafarers, the emotional payoff has yet to come, and it will be different -- considering we have World's Most Emotionally Constipated Woman and Our Strongest Soldier (the PTSD has yet to hit because she's still actively experiencing the horrors) as the protagonists this time.
Six and the Lady are both considerably harder to write for me. I had my chance to write the Big Feeler at the very beginning because the stakes there were skyrocketing from the getgo, but now things have gotten considerably more... silent. The feelings are there but they're all kept in. OUGHHHHHHHHH
I also can't wait to introduce more stuff; I've been writing down concepts for shadow magic and powers, how the Maw works, the various things the Lady of the Maw has to look after to keep it afloat... and the Ladies. Look, I'll say that I'm really happy with what I'm doing with Teapot and Rascal. And with Teapot in general. I really like the characterization I pulled out of my ass LMAOOOOOO and the DESIGN... ok so I'm willing to share a couple of the Teapot's I've doodled
(She's genuinely very silly [read: sick in the head]... i gave all the Ladies some nice additional details because. Ik the point is that they all look very similar but I love designing outfits fuck it this is MY au i do what I want)
So right now I have a suspicion that Seafarers will hit better when it's finished and can be read from beginning to end. Since it's longer (I plan it to be... around 15 chapters? A bit longer if the events require it to be.), there will be more time to let the stuff brew until it reaches its climax as intended.
#carols.txt#Seafarers (Lady Mom AU)#ftny#my writing#{HELP IM SORRY YOU DID *NOT* ASK FOR ALL OF THIS#i went off the rails...#anyway. thank you SO much#so so much#all i can say is the grind never stops and i always strive to get better#seafarers is a different genre so i dont expect it to draw the same reactions out of people but im sure it#will find its crowd👹#again off the rails but i remember peeps commenting that they liked my characterization of the Lady and that had me twirling my hair#giggling like omggg.... fr.... really... thank you! i know her personally and intimately#you could say carnally#HELP#shes so nice to me i would bake her the uncooked beans in the cans ... shes my baked bean (she's high)#INFKDKGMGH#someone send help for six because at this rate she'll lose her mind before the whole 《ladyfication》 process is even beginning}

1.37 Mutual Understanding
[It's morning and Cece groggily makes her way to the living room, yawning]
Johnny: Good morning!
Cece: AHHH! You scared the shit out of me! I thought I just heard Lexie leave?
Johnny: She did. She got up early to run some errands before class and she said I could stay a little longer if I wanted.
Cece: Wait, you slept here last night? I didn’t know.
Johnny: Yeah, not on purpose though. I dozed off and she didn’t want to wake me since I was sleeping so well.
Cece: Hey, I’m your sister, not your mom. You don’t have to make up an excuse for why you slept here. You’re an adult, you’re allowed to sleep with your girlfriend. Just as long as I don’t have to see or hear it.
Johnny: I know, that’s really what happened, though. We haven’t even done anything yet.
Cece: Really? I’m surprised with how much time you’ve been spending with each other.
Johnny: I guess I’m just waiting for the right moment.
Cece: Aw, that’s kinda sweet. Especially for an 18-year-old guy.
Johnny: Well, I really like her so I don’t want to mess anything up. And if I’m being completely honest, I’m a little nervous about it.
Cece: Oh? Have you, like, done it before?
Johnny: Yeah…I mean, a few times, but I'm not exactly experienced. I've only been with a couple of girls. Ugh, I can’t believe I’m actually talking to you about this. You’re not going to run your mouth to Lexie, are you?
Cece: No, I won’t say anything, I promise. I learned my lesson from last time. I’m glad you’re talking to me about it, though, because I can relate to being inexperienced. I’m actually demisexual myself.
Johnny: I didn't know that, but I guess I don't really make a habit out of asking about your sex life.
Cece: Yeah, it's kind of awkward talking to you about it, but really, there's nothing for either of us to be ashamed of. Everyone should be able to set their own boundaries when it comes to sex. Do you think it's just nerves, or is there more to it?
Johnny: I don't know. I definitely want to take things to the next level with Lexie at some point, but it's not always easy for me to put myself out there like that. I know people think teenage guys are horny 24/7, but I think I really have to trust someone first.
Cece: Yeah, same. Unfortunately I've had more than a few guys give me a hard time about it. It would probably be a good idea to talk to Lexie about how you’re feeling though. Who knows, maybe she’s nervous, too.
Johnny: I guess you’re right. I’ll bring it up next time I see her. I'm sorry you've run into so many assholes. So what’s up with that guy you’ve been hanging out with? Do you have feelings for him?
Cece: Ben? I don’t really know. I enjoy spending time with him and we have things in common. I guess I’m keeping an open mind about it. I just don't want to get disappointed again.
Johnny: It’s nice that you found someone new to hang out with regardless. You seem pretty happy. Wait…did we just have a moment of mutual understanding?
Cece: I guess so! Maybe we aren’t that different after all.
Johnny: I knew my charm would rub off on you eventually.

1319 - Day 3
In Henford-on-Bagley a new member of the Dayle household has arrived... Claire Bennet is Leonards bride-to-be, his father arranged this marriage for him a couple of years ago and the wedding will take place in a few weeks.
Claire has been sent by her parents so the two can get to know each other a bit before they are wed. Leonard is still not happy about it. Once again, Leah overhears a discussion with his father.
Leonard: "I never wanted this, you know that."
Ferdinand: "And I don't care how many times i have to tell you - I do not care. This is for the family. The land that you will own one day. Pull yourself together, boy. And I don't want to see you sniffing around that maid anymore. If your fiance's parents find out about it when she goes crying to them about it and this whole thing blows up in our faces, you will be the one responsible."
Leah is scared to hear this... the situatin could cost her her position here... as much as she likes the advances of Leonard, she cannot indulge him any longer. But its seems like Leonard doesn't care. He seeks her out again and again.
Leah: "Leonard, this has to stop now. I heard you and your father today... It could cost you your marriage... and I... I don't want my brothers to suffer for this either."
Leonard: "I just can't keep away from you. Let me spend a bit of time here... I can't stand the sight of Claire. She's insufferable. Nothing interesting to say."
She sighs.
Leah: "Okay. Just..... go when you hear someone coming, okay? I think your father will kick me out of the house if he sees you around me again."
Leonard: "Not if I have anything to say about it."
While Daniel spends a lot of time at Dresden Farm with Annabeth, once the fields are cared for he comes home to his siblings and Evan's family. He also still has to take care of the plants in their fields.
Sometimes Ian comes out to help, but he's never been very good with planting. Daniel always makes some time to play with him, though. He loves his siblings - even though he doesn't spend as much time as he used to with them.
He tells Eve about the improvements he's done to the house.
Daniel: "But I still need to have a reliable food source, I haven't managed to build a stove yet... or a pantry."
Eve: "A pantry? Do you plan to move soon, Daniel?"
Daniel: "I.... I don't know. I think I will eventually."
Eve: "Can I come, too? And Ian? I know we have a really nice home over here, but I miss our land. It's been so long since I've been there... I would like to see it."
Daniel: "You can come over when I'm staying the next time, okay? Perhaps you can bring Ian, too, if he manages the long walk."
He realizes something that night... He really wants to move back to his old home. There's lots of painful memories there, but lots of good ones, too. Perhaps there will be even more memories to make. And why should he not take Eve and Ian with him so they can do it together?
A few days later, he finishes to more beds, one for Eve and one for Ian. His mind is made up, but he still needs to talk to Evan about it. And also build a pantry so his siblings will be well fed.
Annabeth is excited when he tells her about it.
Annabeth: "I think it's a great idea. Your siblings would love it if they could spend more time with you. I remember Eve, I think... but it's been a long time."
Daniel: "But I still need to finish a few things. I don't think I will have the means to move until next year."
Annabeth: "You don't have to hurry, do you? There's plenty of time until winter harvest, it's not even Christmas."
Daniel: "You're right... I just want it to be... well, I don't want Eve having to think about what happened here last time she was home."
Annabeth: "It's going to be fine, Daniel. Even if she is sad sometimes, she will be home, right? And you will be here to take care of her."
Daniel: "Yes, you're right... again. Thank you."

"The things that I do, you think that I do them because I'm a good person. I do them because it would hurt too much not to."
"It hurts. All this. Everything I see, everything I hear, touch, smell. The conclusions that I'm able to draw, the things that are revealed to me."
"You helped me when I needed help. I won't forget it."
"I've thought long and hard about it and, after many, many hours, I've come to the most wretched of realizations: you are my friend."
"Well, I confess to being surprised that this has escaped my attention."
"I have what some may call a strong personality."
"Sometimes, without meaning to, I can bend others to my point of view."
"You are, in your own way, a lonelier man than me."
"The great love of my life is a homicidal maniac. No one's perfect."
"I don't have enough caffeine in my system to understand you right now."
"What is existence but the absorption of and the reaction to the data that the universe presents?"
"That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard you say, and I've known you a long time."
"Justice is like an orgasm; it can never come too late."
"My behaviour was inexcusable, and I do apologize."
"I let myself in. I hope you don't mind?"
"I've always been willing to go to great lengths to protect my family."
"How much do you really know of my father?"
"Spies don't have motives; they have orders."
"If I've learned one thing over the past couple of years, it's the importance of making amends."
"The past is the past; I wish to move forward."
"Ask yourself; when you were a boy, could anyone have parented you?"
"You're not a cop; you're a citizen with delusions of grandeur."
"Perhaps it's best that I don't hear the full explanation."
"I don't think that either of us is a fool."
"You don't care for my father much, do you?"
"You are one of the best liars that I have ever met, and that's saying something."
"You seem angrier than I'd expected. May I ask why?"
"Respectfully, I don't like that theory."
"You can never just drop anything, can you?"
"It's been a long time since you've enjoyed any intimate contact."

I mean any man who spends ten years with a woman, doesn’t marry her. And then goes and dates a girl just getting out of her teen years as he enters his 30s is obvi a very emotionally stunted man.
They dated for about 8 (almost 9?) years IIRC... 🤔
Like I've said before, marriage isn't for everyone.... 🤷🏾♀️ I already listed some Hollywood couples who have NEVER married, and are well into their 60s by now (some older) and are doing just fine.
I'm not making any excuses, but Austin's mother died due to cancer pretty early into his rlshp with Vanessa, and he's talked before about how he dealt with depression after that ordeal.
I actually think that he still suffers from depression from time to time, even now tbh. This is just based on some things I've heard him say, and things I've picked up about him. Having dealt with depression (and anxiety) myself at certain points in my life...Sometimes you can just sorta sense some things about ppl.
So do I think that he has some emotional things going on sometimes? Oh yea, I def do. He was very interested and was asking Janelle Monae for the number to the Emotional Coach that Janelle uses after Janelle mentioned during the Actors on Actors interview how much it helped Janelle. So yea for sure, I def think Austin goes through some emotional things, and there might be some things he's still not emotionally worked through yet. I mean, that's just life sometimes. 🤷🏾♀️
Honestly? I think the V breakup was probably for the best.
Think about it.... V met a younger Austin when he was just about 15/16 years old.... And then 5 years later, they begin to date... Then, not too long into the rlshp, his mom gets sick with cancer and then she dies. 😔 Then, about 2 years later HER (Vanessa's) dad dies.... 🥴 Again, these are all stressful events... 🥺 And keep in mind, he dated V all throughout most of his entire 20s.
If you are having issues in the rlshp, or maybe the two of you have grown into two different ppl, then there's nothing wrong with breaking things off. In fact, that's actually the best thing to do imo. Yes, it's painful, but it's better to let that person go and allow them to find someone else who might be better suited for them, and someone who might be better suited for you as well. 🤷🏾♀️
Maybe he knew he wouldn't make a good husband during that time. Maybe he needed to feel like he was really autonomous and stable in his career, and not just V's arm candy. And maybe (just maybe!!) Vanessa was sweet, but just not "the one" for him. That is so shocking I know lol, but it could be the truth? 🤷🏾♀️ There are so many things we just don't know that could have been going on in the rlshp. Either way, she seems happy and engaged to Cole now, so in reality, maybe Aus did her a favor! 😄
Re: Kaia....
I've already said ad nauseam on my blog that I'm def not a fan of the age she is compared to him either, but hey, they aren't children. 🤷🏾♀️ It's not like he knew her prior.
At this point, what else can fans do but wish them the best and K.I.M.?
I really don't think this rlshp is any endgame rlshp. Seriously.... Y'all they just seem like they're having fun and enjoying a rlshp. Not every rlshp is meant to be FOREVER. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong! Oh well 🤷🏾♀️ I'm only saying that as of rn, I'm not seeing it.
While I'm not too keen on his dating choice atm, at the same time, I honestly think he needed to date more ppl since it seems he hasn't had but one serious adult rlshp in his entire 20s. 😔

Fox Curio's Floating Bookshop: Ch. 12
Previously on:
Roost is a-buzz with gossip about the events from the Tent of Living Stories. Rabbit bookseller Espuma is forced to endure a bad sales pitch (lol). Nikki came in and revealed her intentions to leave Roost for good and move somewhere in the middle course. Mr. Down explained Roost's lack of academic excellence. Espuma spent all their hard-earned money at Roost's shops. Basically, a lot of small things.
DAY TWO OF BUSK: Hearing from old friends
Weather: J, K (Hail all day)
The day came up dreary, odd for so late in Bloom. The days are getting longer and warmer, so a little cloud cover once in a while isn't too bad. The white sky and hail do mean, however, that the customer base was rather thin.
I took advantage of the quiet to make myself tea, have a seat and think. I reflected on what happened that night by the River with my cloaked figure and the child. In the flurry of activity, I heard many rumors of the tale, mainly from people who hadn't even been present. Most thought he was to blame, and more than one person attributed the child's rescue solely to Rex.
Clearly the cloaked animal saved the kid. But it still left me with questions. How did he discover the child? Why were the children being called to the water? Why did the cloaked animal need the book on the Deluge?
My first customer of the day was very happy and seemed almost excited about the change in the weather.
"Do you think Brimming is coming?" he asked earnestly. "I don't like it on the River after all... This is my first year here and I'm ready for it to be over!"
"Well, it sure isn't for everyone. I'm just getting my footing myself," I smiled. "I gotta say, though... There's still a whole month left before Brimming comes. It's only just about to be Burn." He laughed at that, and asked for his book of poetry. I recommended a great collection I first heard about in Rueberry.
A small badger woman (small for a badger anyway) came in later, looking for a book on art and design. She told me she was a weaver and in particular made rugs with beautiful designs. She gained inspiration by looking at art from other creators and artisans. She was very charming and I asked if I could buy a rug from her someday.
I began to oil the till and the clockwork, both to keep busy and because I hadn't done it in a while. A young couple came in, giggling and in love. One was a frog and the other a toad, both women. They whispered to each other and ducked into an aisle to conspire. I could tell instantly, though, it may not have been obvious, that they were in love. I became wistful, remembering my past romances. People from back home, and the handful on the River.
It was easy for me to jump into intimate relationships, but much less so for me to truly build a connection, to let myself be carried away by emotion. I became lonesome and resolved to write to some of the people of other villages.
The turtle salesman came back in.
"Oh, why, hello! How are you today, little lady?"
"I'm still not a lady."
"Oh, that's right! Well, I'm Vinny the Man, and I've got a deal for you!"
I sighed.
"Right here, if you'll look at this invention from the top engineers in Thistle Down university, an automatic tomato-slicer!"
"Autom-"
"Yes! As you can see, any salad you make will be instantly elevated by completely uniform tomato slices, and what's more, it takes no time at all! If you will just lend me a tomato, I can demonstrate for you."
"I don't have any tomatoes."
As with the time before, my gentle refusal seemed to take all the wind out of his sails. He tried to keep going for a minute before resigning and leaving once more.
Other than these few, It was mostly empty. A few people stuck their heads in, a few made purchases, but it was by no means a full day.
Ava Bird came later in the evening, and I was surprised to see her since she'd told me riverstriders tended to travel most of the year round.
"I'm assigned with Roost-duty during the end of Bloom!" she answered. "Since this town has no post office, I deliver letters and packages and then wait a few days for them to send outgoing mail. It gives me a break, too."
"Well, what brings you here to the shop?"
"You've got a letter from Rueberry!"
It was from Goz, the teen echidna at the music night on my last day in Rueberry!
"Dear Mx. Espuma,
I wanted to write to you because we only got to meet a few times when you came to town. I didn't really get to tell you everything I felt, so I put it here. My family is pretty big and they are busy with everyone else. I'm the oldest and my best friend frowned in the River last Brimming, so I've had a lot going on in my head lately. The music night made me remember that other people are alive and looking for peace in their hearts. Please write me back, because you are my hero for bringing this to my life. I'm going to put on music nights of my own, although it won't be as good without you.
-Goz"
I was touched to hear from them and to learn about their struggles. I decided to write back and I put some cheesy parsnips to cook to have with Ava between writing my letter. While they baked, I wrote to Goz, thanking them for their letter and encouraging them in their music journey. I recommended they ask Jamie for help, since he helped me so much with the first one.
This was also my first time making a proper meal on the River. I had all the ingredients, and the flavor seemed to be good, but cosmetically my cheesy parsnips definitely left a lot to be desired.
Ava was pleased to wait, since she typically was in quite a hurry.
We were eating and chatting when the topic came back around to Ava's family back in Thistle Down. Her daughter, Pluma, was 6 years old, and Ava always struggled with motherhood.
"My wife is Cindy Diver," she told me, "and we met when I was starting my career in Port Imes. She's from Thistle Down originally, but I'm a portie. Anyways, she loved our nomadic lifestyle for the longest time, until she wanted kids. Well, I was head over heels for her, I mean, just twitterpated. So I agreed to settle down in Thistle Down. Could not be farther from Port Imes, but I'm a riverstrider, so what's distance to me?
"I was off work and she was fishing for a while, but sedentary life was killing me, so I started work again when Pluma was three." Ava sighed. "You know, I wanted a family with Cindy. I was a wife more than I am a mother. But Cindy is a mother more than a wife. So I feel like I'm letting her down, and Pluma at the same time."
I decided to tell her about my parents. They split up when I was young. Both of them were more husband-wife than they were father-mother. So when they split up, it was like the family had simply dissolved. They tried to go back to their lives before each other, except now suddenly I existed. And so I went to live with my grandmother.
Ava teared up a little and said Pluma means so much to her, and she's putting all her spare energy into being a good mother for her.
It was an invigorating chat! I asked her to stick around, and I wrote another letter to Ebenezer, to maintain contact with someone.
I wrote:
"Hello, Ebenezer! I'm writing from Roost, just one town over. Things are busy here, though the cliques and secretiveness is definitely in full force." I described what happened with the child in the River. "How are things for you, dear friend? Tell me about your life, your friends, your work. I hope we meet again soon." I thanked Ava for her patience, and she thanked me for the meal, and she flew off into the rain with two letters in tow.

I got my lab results, and not surprisingly, many of the numbers aren't good. I suspected my TSH was elevated, and it turns out I was right. Fortunately, it's just barely into the double digits at 10.34. I'll start taking my multivitamins daily. The question is, what's responsible for that? Is it connected to my gastro issues or something else? It explains why I've had some hypo symptoms but not why I'm having trouble falling asleep or why my weight is down a few pounds. Maybe I'm starting to lose muscle now that I'm getting old.
Surprisingly, my T4 was never tested, but that's always been normal. Liver and kidney function are fine, but my RBC and hematocrit are up a bit. That's easily explainable by dehydration. Sometime after getting back from the lab yesterday, I became very lightheaded and my blood pressure crashed to 100/59 because I was dehydrated.
My glucose was 107, and I'm officially pre-diabetic with an A1C of 6.0. Tom was as high as 6.2, but he's been pre-diabetic for over a decade, so hopefully, neither one of us will actually cross over into being diabetic. I still prefer happiness over misery, but I'm going to do my best to find a good balance to help keep me out of the diabetic range without killing myself and feeling overly deprived of anything.
Weight loss is out of the question with the way I have to cut my calories so low to compensate for my thyroid issues, and I don't want to spend the rest of my life hungry, grumpy, and adding to my fatigue. But I can eat healthier and lessen my sugar intake. The thing is that I'm not that big, I already eat healthy most of the time, and get more than the recommended 150 minutes a week of exercise, so I know it's mostly a genetic thing. My mother had it, her father had it, my sister has it, and I'm sure there are others too. Skinny athletes can get diabetes. Still, I've got to try to get it under control because I know I wouldn't be able to tolerate diabetes medication. I'm way too prone to side effects for that. I've heard all kinds of nasty things about diabetes medication, so if I can barely tolerate medications that rarely give anyone trouble, I can just imagine what I would be in for on diabetes medication. So I'm not going to put myself out and make myself miserable, but I'm going to do what I can to improve my health, including going back to strength training a couple of times a week, even if that means I have to squeeze myself into a crowded lanai to get at the Bowflex in 90-degree weather.
Last but not least, my total cholesterol, LDL, and non-HDL were through the roof. I was surprised to find my triglycerides were normal.
While I'm on the subject of medical stuff, every now and then I look up the reviews on some of my old doctors out of curiosity. My old ENT, whom I loved so much, is still widely hated, LOL. One woman even claims she mishandled something when working on her daughter's tonsils, which left her unable to feel her lower lip, and how the doctor won't take responsibility for malpractice, etc. Others say she's not “warm and fuzzy.” LOL. She started off on the serious side with me but quickly became one of the most friendly and personable doctors I ever knew.
I got the incense sticks I ordered today, and I can't say I'm that impressed. They're so old and dry it's almost like they’re blank sticks. Some of them I can smell, but half of them just smell like smoke. I ordered some hand-dipped patchouli through Walmart. Haven't gotten the incense matches yet.
The safety pins didn't hold the sheet snug on the waterbed, so we ran the straps we were using before underneath the bed frame, and we'll see if that helps keep them a bit taut, though I don't think it will.
My lovable but naughty little rat pulled the eyelashes off one of Bailey's eyes, so now we're looking into a suitable glue so I can put new eyelashes on her. Tinkerbella loves climbing the closet shelves, and the doll was sitting on it. She could use new ones, though, because the old ones were kind of bent out of shape with all the moving we've done over the years.
The honker announced that his daughter’s pregnant and his grandson was on the way. Good for him, and good for me too, hopefully, because now maybe she'll skip coming to Florida next winter and using his truck so he can annoy me more often with the motorcycle. I don't know how far along she is, but I would think that for most of the time he's down here, if she wasn't at the end of her pregnancy, then maybe she wouldn't want to travel with a kid so young.
The only dream I remember last night was owning a gas car again and being too broke to fill it up.
I connected ChatGPT to OneDrive and asked it to correct a 36-page story that had 12 chapters but it only corrected part of it. I ended up with just 5 very small chapters and 7 pages. So it's great for current stories and journals but not projects that are already done. It might have done a better job if I fed it one chapter at a time rather than uploading the entire document.
It's not really worth redoing old stories, though. At least not right now. I like how I can tell it not to omit swears or change them and it doesn't. I also like how I can tell it to put the current day, date, and time for when I copy it in Word since Word doesn't automatically timestamp entries like the blogging sites do. I have to add italics, though.

A World So Full of Inversions and Something Else
makes for a lot of wasted potentials
though maybe not wasted for all,
too many people get off on that.
it's still day one and we'll talk about care
health care and treatment, repeatedly denied and
actively blocked as a kid, routinely
for example I was taken to emergency room as a kid
at 13, gut pains and they went away but
the doctors recognized all the signs of abuse and I didn't
after all they didn't hit or touch me, but they were right all along and
they wanted to keep me, just for one night of course and
a couple years before that I was getting stitched up and a nurse said the same
but the doctor interjected that the parents were always right even when they're not
but he knew and I knew
that much at least
I remember quite clearly, my heart as well
the nurse said that's why she could never be a republican whatever
(it's a false paradigm in a cage with sinks aplenty)
other good points they had, positions, she was angered and stormed off
the two of us helpless, and disillusioned
never to be seen again
if only temporarily, see that's how it works
from the age of 3 maybe sooner
self-medicating had to come later here, bound to
learned, I bought a book on editing, just tonight, it looks old and good but
hopefully it helps me make me a better writer
how to write Gertrude had had the rhythms of life
far down better than Wu Tang not to slag but they were over rated
there was the golden era before, without and without modernities
did I spell that write
I'll mention care and self care again while I'm here a broken clock
it's not a clock as it doesn't tell time, it's just a noxious noise maker and
it has its hands
it carries over onto its owners or vice versa, keeping it around so long but
it tunes at christ mas oh the so little important happy things in life
so much is unrequited, then there's the wrong number woman whom
I've never responded to, but I do genuinely care I do she's
just not that very savvy, and the rest is something else
it has been over three years now and more and
it's not that the number is wrong but
that it doesn't belong to who she thinks it does
I'm under the impression some guy was looking to get rid of her and
she lives not far from him and looks for him there but
me I could say I'm somewhere else entirely but
there are mirrors in this world that don't show illusions and
the voodoo comes through in her voice, presumably ex smoker too
I hear the British are banning that or some such
in George Michael's finally year, go figure
every fire has its own desires which
explains the sun and middle earth and all the hells
hell fires sure are bright and shiny but their needs
they'll be met, somewhere along the way of time and
there's that doppelganger paranirvana too
which Kerouac drank himself to obtain
like wise he was quite wise
too much so for his own good or
at least everyone else's like Allen's
like later in life the cards he was carrying
nobody listened or heard nor really wanted to have it published either

dont take it like im trying to pressure u or anything i just wanted to say i miss ur art sm. like u were the first artist who actually inspired me to keep going with my art. at the time i was really depressed and s/icidal and discovering ur art and also marina thru u made me so happy, your art and her music always made my days better 💗💗💗 and i also miss being like 15 and being obsessed with total drama and everyone being active on here. sorry i just saw some total drama edit on instagram and felt nostalgic 🥺 anyway love u always 💗
WHY DID IT TAKE ME A LITERAL YEAR TO RESPOND TO THIS I'M SO VERY SORRY (IF YOU'RE STILL OUT HERE ON TUMBLR DOT COM) i haven't really looked at my askbox a ton the last couple of.............. years honestly oh gosh
you have no idea how much it means to me to hear this, THANK YOU!!!! (´;___;`) 💗💗 for as far as i know i've always been Just Some Person sharing my fanart online because of my love for the shows i was drawing, and it always filled my heart to the brim whenever people were able to find enjoyment in what i created❣❣❣ (˶ ◜꒡◝ ˵) and the thought i even INSPIRED you to keep going with art is more valuable to me than anything else!!!!!!!!!!! i really hope you are still making art and expressing yourself through it, it's such an amazing medium and i know for a fact everything you create has to be so wonderful!!!!! 🌞💝
ALSO I'M SO GLAD I GOT TO INTRODUCE YOU TO MARINA HEHE THE QUEEN!!!!! OUR QUEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 💖👑💖 i truly feel so grateful to know i was able to play a part/help with making your days better!!! you definitely brightened mine with this message❕❕ 🥹💙💙 it's interactions like these that honestly make me miss posting art online the most... it's such a shame i had a very unpleasant experience primarily in my last year of art school, which left me with an art block that lasted YEARS. i really felt like i had lost a part of myself back then because of it, which i've been slowly trying to rebuilt since, and i think i'm finally getting to a point where i've regained my ability to derive true joy from art once more! i've been thinking about uploading art again, i guess right now i also just feel kind of hesitant because of the rise of AI art & the chance that my works might end up being used to feed some computer program (as has happened to so many other artists, without their consent :( ) but we'll see!! cause i definitely feel inspired to start sharing more of my love for fashion online too, which for me at this point is very intrinsically tied to my art :D i'd like to get to a point where i can draw/design any piece i adore and then sew them irl as accurately to the original drawing as i can :>
"i also miss being like 15 and being obsessed with total drama and everyone being active on here" GOD I RELATE the old deviantart/tumblr days used to be so fun... well, i've heard they unfortunately weren't always fun for everybody (we were all teens with many feelings & opinions & not so much social grace), i think i'm somewhat "lucky" to have always been kind of a Neutral(??) party cause i honestly never truly knew what was going on between people and was just blissfully sharing my art... therefore i'm still able to look back at those times and remember them fondly 💙💜 i'm happy to hear it's the same for you!!! nostalgia is such a lovely feeling! AND we must always remember that there are still so many many more lovely memories to be made in the future that we have yet to experience (◍ˊ•͈ ᗜ •͈ˋ◍)!!!🎔
anyway, i hope you are doing well nowadays!!! I LOVE AND APPRECIATE U TOO, ALWAYS 💗💗💗💗
#thank you so much for sending me this!!!!#HUGS AND KISSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO MANY OF THEM#ask#Anonymous#happy tag#:D ♡♡♡♡♡#long post#OOPS

Catching the Red-Eye
Juice Ortiz x F!Reader
Request by Anon: I just saw a funny post that gave me a fic idea: Friend says “Our flight is at 3am so we could go drinking and then straight to the airport.” Y/N: “Sound like a great idea!” Narrator: “It was not a great idea.” Can I request a Juice x reader where she & her gf (maybe Tara or someone?) are coming back from a girls trip and Juice(&Jax or whoever) have to deal w/ whatever state they find their girls in? 😂😂
Warnings: language, alcohol
Word Count: 1.9k
A/N: I started a draft for this months ago when you first sent it in and then my computer deleted it. But I got back to it tonight because apparently my muse is only awake between 11pm and 1am these days 😂 I did tweak a couple little things from the original request but the idea of writing reader an Tara as friends just made my heart way too happy. I love them so much and I hope they have many adventures together going forward. I've missed writing slice of life stuff like this. 🥰 (Also I can't lie this made me want to write more fic for Jax and Tara. It's such a small glimpse of them here but god I mourn the missed opportunities of them just having normal relationship moments man idkidk)
A/N 2: My requests are closed this is an old one that's been sitting in my inbox for literal months. Unedited and unbetad as always lmao

It was the first time that you’d ever actually been drunk on a plane. For all the times you heard people talk about airport bars, and all the times that flight attendants had offered you cocktails, you had never really thought much about it. You were always on the go through the airport, always had a book or something to keep you company on the flights. You had never even been buzzed near a plane, let alone drunk and on one.
Apparently the missing ingredient had been traveling with Tara. You had no idea what you had been missing out on until you had it. All because of a trip for a hospital conference. The two of you had spent the better part of your week sitting through lectures and seminars. Sure, the information was interesting, and sure, you were both thankful for the opportunity. But after an entire week in a swanky resort it felt like the two of you had nothing to show for it.
Then to top it all off, your flight got delayed. So you and Tara were stuck at the airport with a few extra hours to kill. It wasn’t long enough to justify leaving just to have to go back through security, but it was too long to just sit there doing nothing. You had no interest in the book in your backpack, and the way that Tara was looking around the airport had you thinking she was in the same predicament.
Then she turned and looked at you, eyebrows raised and a little bit of a glint in her eyes. “You know,” she leaned on the armrest between your two chairs at the terminal, “since our flight isn’t until three now, we could just…” she shrugged casually, “hit one of the bars here and head straight to our flight afterwards.”
You chuckled, trying to gage just how serious she was. “R-really?”
She shrugged, “Why not? The plane has a designated driver. Plus,” she stood up from her seat, “I think we deserve something besides pamphlets and lecture notes for the week we’ve had.” She held her hand out for you to take. “Come on. Closest bar is just a few gates down.”
Despite knowing that it was most likely going to end in a hangover on a plane, you slapped your hand into hers and let her pull you up from your seat and down the hallway. The amount of laughter erupting from the two of you were the sure sign of an impending good time.
It was such a good time, in fact, that it was a just before midnight when your phone started buzzing in your pocket. You pulled it out to see who was calling at such a late hour. You half-stifled a giggle as you showed Tara the name flashing across your screen.
“I forgot to tell him the flight got delayed.”
Her eyes widened as she laughed, taking a sip of her drink before saying, “Oh. When you tell him, make sure he tells Jax.” She let out another laugh. “I forgot to tell him, too.”
You were laughing as you answered the phone. “Hey, baby.”
“Hey,” Juice had been confused the second he dialed your number, but the drunken lilt to your voice only made him more confused. “Are you good? We're at the airport and—”
“Promise me you won’t get mad?” you asked, still giggling.
“He better not!” Tara chimed in with a laugh before ordering the two of you another round of drinks.
Juice couldn’t help but to laugh at the fact that Tara was also drunk. After getting it together, he said, “I promise I won’t get mad. What’s up?”
“Our flight got delayed.” You laughed. “Until 3AM. We aren’t,” you took a sip of the drink that Tara handed you, “we aren’t gonna be home until morning.”
Juice sighed but he wasn’t mad. All the shit that you went through because of him being in the club, all the changed and canceled plans for a myriad of reasons, you more than earned this one. Tara too.
“You’re mad,” you said.
He laughed. “I’m not mad. Just, you know, don’t get carried away and miss your flight.”
You smiled even though he couldn’t see it. “We won’t.”
“Text me later with an ETA?”
“As soon as we board the plane.”
“Alright. I love you.”
You were beaming. “I love you too.” He was halfway through saying goodbye when you remembered, “Oh! Shit. Make sure you tell Jax! Tara forgot too.”
Juice laughed. “Yea, I think he might have figured it out by now.”
You heard Jax's muffled hello on the other end of the line, laughing before finally getting around to saying one more I love you to Juice and saying goodbye.
The rest of the night into the tiny hours of the morning flew by in a bit of a blur. There was a lot of laughing, a lot of drinks. If your memory served right there were a decent number of them that you and Tara didn’t have to pay for yourselves which always seemed to make a drink taste better. It was a great time, and despite the amount of alcohol in your systems you still made it to your flight on time. You even remembered to update Juice.
The two of you managed to get your laughter somewhat under control for the sake of the other passengers on the plane. You didn’t want to keep them up with fits of giggles so you dialed it down. It didn’t take long for Tara to drift off to sleep, but you knew that wasn’t going to be happening for you until you home and in your own bed. And, with any luck, curled up with Juice.
Not sleeping had the unique upside of allowing you to nurse another drink or two on the flight. Just enough to keep you buzzed, to stop you from getting slammed with a brutal hangover. You kept yourself perfectly amused on the relatively short flight home. A few hours on a plane seemed to go by faster than in the car. Being able to watch the sun come up while still having a buzz certainly didn’t hurt.
Tara woke with a groan when you nudged her shoulder after the plane landed. She shook her head at you, not opening her eyes all the way as she felt around on the floor for her purse. “This is why I don’t drink,” she grumbled.
You laughed as you stood up, slipping your backpack on your shoulders. “No, you don’t drink because we always have to be grownups.”
“If we’re both grownups, why am I the only one who’s dying?” she asked as she reached over and snatched your sunglasses off the top of your head and put them on.
“I stayed up,” you laughed as you walked through the airport towards baggage claim, “and I stayed drunk.”
She had to laugh at that. “Smart. I’ll have to remember that next time.”
“Next time?” you said with a grin as you pulled your suitcase and then hers from the carousel. “Hell yea.”
When the two of you stepped outside, Tara immediately let out another groan at the bright morning sunlight. You couldn’t help your laughter as you continued walking, looking for either your car or Tara's. She followed along behind you, trusting you to do the real scouting on her behalf.
It wasn’t long until you saw both Jax and Juice standing on the sidewalk, leaning back against the side your car. You waved to get their attention, picking up your pace, not caring about the suitcase rolling and bouncing along behind you. The second you were close enough, you let go of the suitcase and ditched it on the sidewalk in favor of running up and hugging Juice. You hopped up, wrapping both your arms and legs around him as you buried your face into the crook of his neck.
He laughed, the impact of your jump making him stumble a step but he still caught and held onto you. He hooked his arms underneath you, holding you as your legs wrapped around his waist. He hooked his chin over your shoulder, holding you tight for a moment before you let your feet hit the ground again. Pulling back, you kissed him hard on the lips, leaving the both of you breathless and somehow still laughing.
“I missed you too,” he said with a chuckle. He leaned into it as you cupped his face in your hands. “The trip was good, then?”
“It was great!” you beamed. “Missed you, though.”
“Looks like you two did just fine without us.” He paused, looking over at Tara who was leaning into Jax as he chuckled at her hungover state. “Well, one of you did just fine.”
Jax kissed the side of Tara's head. “Rough trip, babe?”
She shook her head. “The trip was great. I’m still dying, though.” She hugged him and kissed him on the lips. “Take me home so I can die in peace.”
He laughed. “Is this how I am when I’m hungover?”
“You’re worse,” all three of you replied in unison, laughing when you realized.
Jax rolled his eyes but he was laughing too as he picked up both your suitcase and Tara's to toss them into the trunk of your car. “Let’s get you party animals home.”
You immediately ran towards the front of the car. “I call shotgun!”
You were comfortably slouched in your seat with your feet on the dash before Jax and Tara finished settling themselves in the back seat. Jax had his arm draped around her shoulders, keeping her tucked snug against his side as she got ready to lightly doze for the duration of the ride home.
Juice reached over, resting his hand on your thigh as he drove. You interlocked your fingers with his, watching the scenery through the windshield and the passenger window.
Juice squeezed your hand. “How the hell are you not, you know, super fucking hungover?”
You were too busy laughing to answer the question, so Tara piped up from the back seat for you. “Hair of the dog,” she mumbled.
You laughed as you nodded. “Something like that. I just didn’t let myself sober up all the way.” You saw the way Juice peeled his eyes off the road to look at you for a moment and shrugged. “What? The flight attendant offered! Who was I to say no? Don’t worry,” you patted his hand, “when I wake up from my nap in a few hours I will be plenty hungover. By then Tara will be doing better than I’m doing now.”
Juice dropped the two of them off at Jax's. You said a lazy goodbye from the passenger seat, the exhaustion of the week and the all-nighter finally catching up to you. You were starting to close your eyes when Juice got back into the driver's seat. He looked over at you before he put the car back in drive, unable to stop smiling at the sight of you.
You didn’t have to open your eyes to know that he was looking at you. “Yea?”
He laughed quietly. “Nothing. I love you.” He leaned over the center console so he could kiss the side of your head. “I’m glad you two had fun. I’m even more glad that you’re home.”
You opened your eyes and looked at him with a smile. “You’re a sap, Juan Carlos.”
He chuckled as he backed out of their driveway. “You love me, though.”
You couldn’t deny that. “I do. But remember that you love me in a few hours when I’m cranky and hungover.”
“When you’re trying to bury yourself in all of our pillows and blankets?”
“And trap you there with me.”
“And all of your crankiness.”
You laughed, resting your hand on top of his on the console between you. “Exactly.”

Now that I've read as much as I can of dftr I have many thoughts and questions, so get ready...
At the early stages with the kids - Would Wanda become more 'normal' because she's distracted by her kids, maybe even making R a little jealous due to the fact she doesn't have all of Wanda's attention anymore?
I know you've said that R didn't want kids and wouldn't out right neglect them when it eventually happens but would there still be a moment of "wow this is my kid" for R? And at this point R realises the care they have for the kids or no? If it is like this I can see R aging another role of 'perfect parent' but she'd still need to kill someone to satisfy that craving... But also as the kids get older would R have a different place to kill her victims because she won't be able to do it in the basement any more
Another thing I'm curious about is R's friends - you mentioned Wanda killing them in the future (because they'd be the ones to turn R in) but right now as R and Wanda develop their relationship do the friends wonder how Wanda/R are even still together? But also as the relationship goes on they're like "oh R is as crazy as Wanda" because of how possessive R is (even with R's 'act' of being a normal person I feel like there will be moments where it slips and her friends see it). Or even the marks they've left on each other and the friends joke to R about her being "kinkier than they expected"
Either way I'm wondering - would the friends think, even with how weird the whole relationship is, that they're cute together and they're actually happy for R?
Like I said I have many thoughts but I think I'll leave it here for now 😂
Ok, let's go step by step!
About the kids, I believe that at least part of this I ended up answering in this post here. R would definitely have a lot of trouble really connecting with Billy and Tommy, but she'd probably really accept that they're an important part of her after they're a year old or so. She would indeed end up forcing herself to accept their existence for more superficial reasons (and thus unconsciously repeating her parents' footsteps), but to maintain the image of a good Samaritan with the perfect family they would have to be a perfect parent, and you can't do that when you avoid your kids like they're pestilent or some shit like that lol
So you can believe that yes, R will force herself to try for them… in a way. Which implies having to kill outside the house, and not keeping victims captive in the same environment where she lives with her family. Which means Wanda will get what she's always wanted: make R stop keeping other women in the house just for her own fun. Convenient, huh. Totally unplanned.
About R's friends, the fact that some of them will have to leave in the future is indispensable. As Wanda and R's relationship grows and takes on greater proportions, slips will happen and some heads will roll because of it. But yeah, the relationship from the outside is pretty weird, to say the least, for R's friends.
One day she was single and the next she'd been dating Wanda for a long time, but no one had even heard of her before. It's possible that R's social mask ends up falling off at times and she becomes overly possessive of Wanda while in public, but as Wanda has never really hidden how jealous she can be towards R and they know R as an extremely docile, good, friendly, kind person, everyone will always point out Wanda as the red flag of the relationship ("Y/n's such a good person, isn't she? I don't understand how she can date someone as problematic as Wanda").
It's been said before that R's friends don't really like Wanda's presence around because she's very territorial, but over time they would learn to deal with it (or at least most of them will… and those who don't won't be around long to question lol). After all, in public they just seem like an adorable couple, it's true. So while most people would find Wanda a little weird, they would learn to live with the idea that she will always be there.
About the marks on their bodies, R and Wanda manage to cover them very well most of the time and most of it is done in hidden places that only they will see. If any hickeys or scratches show up, it will probably only be mocked superficially as some "kinky shit" and that's it.

MAIN MASTERLIST
Few days passed with the girl lying on her bed recovering from the wound that the fight gave her.
When she opened her eyes after have fainted in Kaz's arms, fear had been the first to come to visit her. Fear of being already tied at some bed on a ship, sold at the Shu that would have been more than happy to make experiment on her. She was scared that the temptation must have been too much for Kaz Brekker to have such a value grisha in his hands, but then she noticed she was in her room at the Slat and a rush of tiredness hit her making her sleep again.
The other times she opened her eyes someone among Jesper, Inej and Wylan was always at her side, changing the bandage and bringing her food.
Inej told her that her father, Jan Van Eck, was now aware that she was part of the Dregs, and she was under Kaz Brekker's protection. Everyone was aware she was a grisha, but neither Jesper and Inej seemed to mind her lie, maybe because they had secrets too, she though.
A morning a letter came for Kaz, a letter from her father.
Mister Brekker
we never had the occasion to meet, and you'll agree with me when I say that I wish to keep things like this. Voice is spread that you have my beloved daughter with you. I hope you understand that she is a danger for this city. I've sent her away many years ago with the only interest of protecting Kerch from her, but I see that I could have done things in a better way.
It is as a father that I ask you to bring her to me so that I can repair my mistakes. She is a danger for all of us if not under control, Mister Brekker, and I am sure you saw it yourself last night. She has to face a trial for her crimes and be sent where she can't be a danger for anyone anymore. If she doesn't come back in seven days, I should consider you and your Dregs as her accomplices, planning to attack Ketterdam and all Kerch using her power.
Surely a smart men as yourself doesn't want those kind of problems.
Hope to see my city safe again,
Jan Van Eck.
Inej had brough the letter at her in the afternoon, and in the evening the grisha girl was already planning her escaping from Ketterdam for the third time in her life.
She didn't want to leave Wylan, hell she had promised him they wouldn't split up ever again, but if her plan worked then he would have been able to follow her after few months. If the Van Eck siblings moved together they would have caught too much attention, and they had to do everything in secrets.
Wylan tried to convince her to stay. He was sure that Kaz would have helped her, Wylan was sure that Kaz Brekker would have sealed all Ketterdam to keep her save, and even if as her brother he didn't like her closeness with the Bastard of the Barrel, he couldn't deny that it was useful.
"I'm putting all of you in danger just staying here. If I go away father will have nothing to threat you with." she said putting her clothes in her bags. Seven days, she couldn't give her father the time to close all the harbours in Kerch. If she wanted to go she had to do it as soon as possible.
"Talk to Kaz! Let see what he says, please." begged Wylan grabbing her hands in his to stop her.
She looked in his beautiful blue eyes and saw hope. "You really think Kaz has the power to keep me here?"
Her brother smirked. "I think Kaz would tear apart this city to keep you save. Talk to him, keep your options open."
Dirtyhands would never fight a battle where he couldn't win money, but Y/n was willing to try. That night after dinner she decided she would speak with Kaz and see if he was willing to keep her.
"Let see what the great Kaz Brekker think about it." she sighed putting her arm around Wylan's shoulder and walking downstair where their dinner waited them.
Kaz Brekker sat in his office, in his gloved hands the red handkerchief and Jan Van Eck's letter. Before that morning the death of Van Eck had been one of the many he wanted to deal with for what he had done to his Fire Girl, but now his death had taken a shape, colours and many details that Kaz's was adding one by one.
Brick by brick, Kaz would take all his enemies down, and Y/n was more than welcome to take her revenger with him.
He went downstair at the second floor walking toward Y/n's room. He wanted to check how she was, and speak with her about how she wanted to deal with her father. He didn't know if she wanted his actual death, but he was just fine with torture.
When he reached the door and looked inside his blood froze. All her things were packed in three bags, all her clothes were gone from her wardrobe and none of her objects were around the room. Neither the little portrait of she and baby Wylan that she kept on her bedside table before falling asleep.
She is leaving you.
These words felt like a stab in his chest, like someone had taken the oxigen from his lungs. Would she, leave him? Yes. Y/n would find a better life everywhere out Kerch, it was reasonable that she was already packing. When she wanted to leave? Where she wanted to go?
He knew nothing about it and Kaz Brekker always knew everything. Especially of what happened in his Slat. But this time the girl was leaving him, again, and she hadn't had talked with him about it. She hadn't advised him. Did you really think she was going to live this life just for you? For a man who can't even hold her hands without hyperventilate? A man who can't give her the love she deserve?
The fear he saw in her eyes when she saved his life with her power wasn't because she was feared of his rejection; she feared that he would have send her out of the Dregs, without protection and away from her brother.
He stormed back in his office, anger filled his boody and what else? Disappointment? Sadness? He was angry with himself because he had been a fool again. He had let someone playing with him again, that's what Y/n had been doing. She had been toying with him. She had made sure to have a safe place where live, a job and her brother beside her. Every little nice things she did for him was just to keep him close, to keep Dirtyhands at bay.
Like a fury he threw everything that was on his desk on the floor with his arms. Documents, the handkerchief, the letters, were all on the floor but he couldn't care less. She wanted to leave? Fine. Dirtyhands didn't care.
A known shiver crossed his spine before he heard a knock at his door.
"What?" he didn't look up when the girl entered, too focus on something in the drawers of his desk.
"Wow, and I though to be the one who had a bad day." she joked looking the mess at his feet.
He didn't smile, or smirked. He kept his eyes on something she coudn't see. "What bussiness?"
What bussiness. Those words were the greeting in Ketterdam when two bussiness men met, but the grisha girl though that she and Kaz had passed that step. He must had really a bad day, and it could have been because of the letter...she though sadly.
Who knew what other problems her father had caused around Ketterdam to earn the attention of Kaz, to push him to hand her in his hands.
"My father...I don't want any of you to be in danger because of me." she said carefully walking closer to his desk. A glimp of red captured her eyes but the pain at her waist made her close her eyes for a second.
"I'd say it's too late for it, isn't it?" he asked coldly. She took a step behind, taken back by his coldness toward her. "You seemed to enoy keeping secrets, didn't you? Do you know how easier it would have been knowing about your being grisha months ago?"
That wasn't the boy who had brough her in his arms out from the gala. He wasn't the boy who fought beside her, spied beside her and saved her a couple of time.
"I am sorry, I truly am Kaz. But I know what is the price of being a grisha here...it wouldn't have been easy for me walking with a target on my back. I have done it my whole life."
He refused to look her in the eyes, and it was driving her crazy. Was he really that mad at her that he couldn't bare even the sight of her?
"You decided for yourself, a thing you tend to do often I see." she was sure he had never spoken to her like that, neither in his bad days, and Kaz Brekker had a lot of bad days. "You swore loyalty to the Dregs, to the Crows. If you can't trust us then you shouldn't stay here."
He had said the crucial words, and there was no going back. She wanted to leave, then he would make sure to let her believe that he didn't care. That he didn't care about not finding his hot coffee on his desk again, or that from that day on he wouldn't feel the shivers in his spine anymore. He pretended to not care about not seeing her anymore. She had left him once, he could survive it a second time.
"That's it? That's what you want?" she felt her voice dying in her throat. Was her mistake that big? You knew that once Kaz knew what you were he would have pushed you away like everyone else. 'No one will understand you as the other of your kind', Baghra once told her, but when she met Kaz she believed that her old teacher was wrong. Kaz Brekker had been her safe harbour when no one else would care about her, was she so easily replaceable for him?
"You would have leave anyway at some point, you said it yourself the first time we met at the Club. Today, tomorrow, in five years...I don't see the difference." he shrugged like he didn't care.
He doesn't, her mind reminded her.
"Alright then...I don't want to be of any trouble to you anymore..." she whispered with her hands behind her back. She hated how little she felt, but he was sendind her away. Kaz Brekker, the boy she'd die for. The boy who had let her felt hope again after years, the boy who made her laugh even when he surely didn't mean it. The boy in who she was willing to put the most important years of her long life, that boy was sending her away without looking back.
"Then go." he said fixing his eyes in hers. She could feel the sharpness of his eyes cutting her chest.
"Fine, then I'll just-" she stopped talking when her eyes landed on the red thing she had seen before. A red handkerchief. Her feet moved on their own will. Before she could register what was happening she had the red handkerchief in her hands, her eyes fixed on the three letters on it. W. V. E.
"Y/n don't-" Kaz stood up trying to stop her but it was too late.
"Why do you have my brother's hand-" she was confused, but then her eyes raised to the boy in front of her. His brown eyes, his dark hair and pale skin, and in a second her mind brough her a memory.
The little boy smiled standing before her. He was at the same height of her belly, but his eyes seemed older.
"I have still things to do, and people I need to find. " the last words said with rage.
"Take care of yourself, boy. Don't let the bad days winning your good ones, there is always light at the end of a tunnel; you only have to walk a little more."
And then another.
"What is you name little boy?"
"K-..." he stopped for a long moment thinking about it. He looked the girl beside him and even if he wanted to trust her he just couldn't after what happened. "Jordie..."
"J-Jordie?" she asked, her voice trembling. "I-...You are not him, aren't you?" he stayed silent, looking her like a statue. "You would have told me if you were him...Kaz you are not the little boy I met eight years ago, right?!"
Her voice raised squeezing the handkerchief in her right fit.
She saw him gulped before answering slowly. "Yes, I am."
She took two huge steps back breathing eavily. He had known me all along. "Why you've never said anything? That day when you approached me, you knew who I was and you offered me a...job..."
"Can you keep a secret?" she asked touching his shoulder with her own. The boy, whose name wasn't obviously Jordie, nodded looking her curiously. She smirked bringin her left hand on her right one and rotating them slowly. A flame came out from her right palm, little but still powerful; red and orange like the handkerchief she had given him before.
The boy's eyes shone marveled looking the flame on her palm. "You are a grisha!"
The truth hit her hard. She raised her eyes in his letting him see the betrayal. "You had always knew what I was. That's why you gave me the job...you didn't care that I was new, you didn't care that I was the girl you met when you was a child. You wanted an Inferni to work for you!"
Every words, every attention, every talk they shared were all lies. Nothing of what he said was true, Kaz Brekker didn't need a reason, he didn't need a reason to give a job to a girl new in town, but it was clear that Kaz Brekker always had a reason. She had been only too foolish to not understand everything before.
She thought she was good to keep a secret, but something like her power couldn't pass unnoticed to Kaz Brekker. She had been a fool to believe he didn't know about her power. It was the only reason he kept her in the Dregs since the beginning.
"An inferni would have been very useful, but you have proved to know how to do your job perfectly without your power. Now, if you want to go you are free to do so. Nothing bind you here." he said, his voice cold as death.
You bound me here, she wanted to shout. But it had been Kaz's plan all along. Making her believe she was different, making her believe he saw her.
"Nothing." she repeated before walking away from his office, leaving the boy alone with the loudly silent that filled the room, staring at the handkerchief that she let fall on the ground, the only thing that had always bound them.
***
The next morning Kaz woke up and knew immediately that something was wrong. He took his cane and walked downstairs to the kitchen where he heard people talking out loud.
"I swear Jesper, when I see him I-" Wylan stop talking in the exact moment Kaz stepped in the room. The red haired boy fixed his eyes on him and before he could understand what was happening Wylan was yelling at him with all the rage he felt. "How dare you coming here like nothing happened!?"
Jesper had to put his arms around Wylan's torso to keep him from throwing himself on Kaz. "Last time I checked this was my Slat."
"And you find amusing sending people away, don't you?" Wylan spoke spitting venom from his mouth. "She needed help and you turned your back at her!"
Now Kaz needed few minutes to make his brain, still sleepy, working to connect the dots. It was clear that Wylan was talking about his sister, who seemed to have played the victim with her own brother.
"If you want to know, merchling, she decided her will herself. She came to me to let me know she was leaving." Kaz shrugged walking toward coffee machine. He didn't have the strengh to face an angry boy if he wasn't properly awake.
"As hell she did. She came to ask you what to do and you sent her away." Kaz let his words running in his head for a while, studying them one by one.
He didn't..."When she came in my office she had already decided." he refused to tell them he had seen her bags ready in her room, he refused to let someone know he cared.
"No Kaz, she didn't." This time Inej spoke, he hadn't even noticed she was there. "She wanted to leave to protect you from her father, but Wylan convinced her to slow down and come to you to ask what to do."
No, no, it was not possible. "When she came in your office she hadn't decided yet. You gave her the answer, Kaz." Jesper spoke keeping his hands on Wylan's shoulders, who now was sat on a chair with his face in his hands.
I would have noticed if she was asking me what to do. She had her bags ready...she came to me to tell me...his thoughs were running wild inside his head.
"That's it? That's what you want?"
Kaz tried to put his thoughs together. He tried to find a logic of what had happened the night before.
"You had always knew what I was. That's why you gave me the job...you didn't care that I was new, you didn't care that I was the girl you met when you was a child. You wanted an Inferni to work for you!"
No, no, no. Everything was so wrong again. He though she was going to leave him and he had let her believe that he had used her all this time. He though she was leaving him...that was the only thing he had needed to loose his mind.
"You didn't know..." whispered Inej surprised.
Kaz couldn't trust his voice enough to not break in front of everyone so he just shoke his head slowly looking the Suli girl in the eyes.
"What have you done..."murmured Jesper rubbing his eyes with his hand. "Alright, if you hurry you should arrive before the schooner leaves."
"Fifth harbour?" Kaz asked with raspy voice.
"Yes! Go!" said the Zemeni boy excited. "I love a dramatic romance."
He didn't let him repeated twice, ready to run if he had to he walked toward the door when Wylan's voice stopped him.
"Brekker, bring her back." Please, was the word the boy let unspoken.
He nodded before running toward the harbour. He took just his cloat at the door, leaving his hat behind. He couldn't let her leave again. He had to arrive in time, and if he didn't he would have swim until he'd found himself on the schooner and ask sorry to her for his infinity dullness.
"Alright then...I don't want to be of any trouble to you anymore..."
She wasn't a trouble, he wanted to shout in the air. She had never been a trouble, he was the wrong one. He was the twisted, crooked, problematic who couldn't stop himself from hurt her everytime.
"My father...I don't want any of you to be in danger because of me."
Even when she was the one in danger, she would think about him first. He didn't see it last night, too focused on accusing her of betrayal. Betrayal of what? She hadn't broken any vows she made. She wasn't bind to him, she own him nothing and surely Ketterdam did nothing to earn her protection.
Since the first day she had stayed on her own will, she had stayed beside him even when he pushed everyone away. That's what got under his skin, her perseverence. She kept fighting for him, she kept seeing good in him and the only thing he had been capable of was making her feel used and unwanted.
He saw the harbour and he barely noticed that he hadn't used his cane. It would have just slowed me, he thought already searching his girl with the eyes.
He owed her an explanation, he owed her a lot of apologies, and then she would decide if she wanted to stay. Kaz swore to everyone who was listening that if Y/n chose to stay in Ketterdam with him, he would have made sure to be worth her choice. He would fight everyday to go trought his boundaries for her, with her. He would be the man she deserved.
"The schooner for Os Kervo." Kaz asked urgently to a man. He knew Y/n, she would find a safe home in Ravka at the Little Palace where the grisha were safe and strong.
"The first one left this morning at four bells, the next it's at the berth twenty-four, leaves in half bell." the man answered.
Kaz didn't think twice and ran toward the schooner with his heart in his throat. Please, saints if you exist make sure she hadn't already left.
He felt pathetic. Never in his life he had ever prayed, but he though that if it gave him a chance to see her again that it was worth a try.
He arrived at the schooner, but looking around he didn't see her. She must be already on board, he though and without difficulty he went on the ship.
There wasn't many people, but from what Kaz knew the grisha girl could have been already in her room and there was no way to find her before that schooner left.
He felt a shiver in his spine, telling him that she was close, but he didn't know where to look. Right, left, he looked everywhere. People around him looked him worried.
She can't be gone, he kept reapeting in his head like a mantra.
"Came here to bring me back to my father?" a voice said from above him. "How much did he offer to you? Must be a lot to affront a grisha alone."
His heart missed a beat and when he looked over his head he though he might start to believe in saints.
She was there, perched on one of the boom. Her hood was up hiding her face like she always did when she was out of their zone. She was a wanted grisha now, and he felt a grip on his heart at the though that she was used to that life of a runner.
You are not alone anymore, Fire Girl, he though vividly.
"I thought you had decided to leave..." he said. It didn't sound like an apologize at all...Damn Saints, there were a bilions things he wanted to say her, and yet his throat felt dry when he could talk.
"I did." her voice was sharped as a blade and cold as ice.
He gulped, I deserve this. "I know..." He had a flashback of their first conversation at the Crows Club, and cold shivers ran in his blood. I will not make the same mistake twice. "I should have told you who I was since the beginning."
"Maybe if I knew I didn't have to hide my power you could have had your personal inferni sooner." it was his fault. He had let her believe that he wanted her just for her power, but it wasn't true. Kaz Brekker kept her with the Dregs because he couldn't bare the though of her being hurt or threated.
"Could you get off from that boom? Please..." the last word burned in Kaz's throat like fire. It wasn't easy for him to say out loud his feelings, but he knew it would have been the only thing to make her stay. He owed her the truth.
She scoffed and jumped, landing in front of him with the lightness of a feather. Crossing her arms over her chest she studyed him from under her hood, waiting for him to speak first.
You want me sto stay, you have to say it, her posture told him.
"I saw your bags in your room, I though you wanted to leave me, the Dregs. I would understand if it what you wish, but you have to know that I was angry. Angry because I though you didn't trust me. You had just packed all your things without talking to me first, I though...I though you..." said those words Kaz brekker, a voice said in his mind. "I though you used me as a protection, nothing else. And when you showed up in my office I though you were going to say me you were leaving. No question, no mouners."
She stayed silent for a bit, surely surprised by his words. He couldn't see her whole face from his height, and he needed to use all his self control to not take it and push it down.
"The only reason I decided to leave was because my father knew about you. I knew he would have used you against me if I stayed, and I couldn't put you in danger just because I wanted to be selfish." her voice had softened a bit, but it was still sharp as she was ready for any attack from him. "Wylan convinced me that you would have helped me, that you would have been willing to fight for me. But when I come to you, I find Dirtyhands planning my departure. And what I find out? That you kept me under your roof just because you knew I was a grisha."
"It's not true." he stopped her firmly. "I knew you were a grisha, but never in my head I though about using you for your power."
"Then what other reason to keep the truth about our first meeting from me?"
Now it's the moment. Don't let your shame eat you alive, put yourself together and take your Fire Girl back.
"Because I was ashamed of the man I became. Because if you knew who I was you would have seen that the little boy you met eight years ago doesn't exist anymore. You would have seen that I failed you..." saying finally those words after a year left him lighter.
She gasped softly. It's not true, I can still see that little boy right in front me... "No, I failed you. You were a child Kaz, you had no faults. I should've stayed with you."
She could see the surprise on Kaz's face when she spoke those words. She had time to think that morning, at the little boy she left alone in the streets of Ketterdam. The boy who had kept her secrets all those years and never blackmailed her.
"I don't think something would have changed. I chose my path." he said with his raspy voice. How many nights he had dreamt about that moment? When he would finally speak with her, when the little boy and the Fire Girl would meet again.
"Becasue no one was there for you. Beccause you were alone. But if someone would have taken care of you, if someone would have showed you another way, maybe everything would have been different." maybe you would have been different.
She wasn't disappointed in what Kaz had became, she knew that everything he did it was to survive at the Barrel. She was proud that he had found the strengh to fight and live; Y/n would change nothing of the man she had in front of her.
The captain of the schooner announced that they were ready to leave and Y/n took a deep breath. "You should go..."
"Come with me." his mind, his rational part stopped working. There were nothing to brake his tongue. "Eight years ago you asked me if I wanted you to stay with me, and I said no. Today I'm asking you to stay in Ketterdam, with me, with the Crows. We cant-...I can't loose you. Not again."
Her heart started to beat faster like a roller coaster. Was Kaz Brekker the one who was talking in front of her? The Bastard of the Barrel was asking her to stay with him. You are going to put him in danger, a voice in her mind reminded her.
She looked Ketterdam behind him, as she could see her father's house.
Kaz saw the shift in her face's direction, and immediately understood what was thinking that mind of her. He rose a gloved hand in front of him taking her by surprise.
"If you wish to go to Ravka I will not stop you, but if you give me a chance I'll try everyday to be the man worth to stay by your side. And I promise you..." he took a step forward making her gasp. "I promise you we will take down everyone who threat us and we'll make them know the real meaning of the word suffer."
That's the Dirtyhands I fell for, she though smiling brightly. She took his hand firmly feeling his fingers closing around hers. "Just one condition." He raised an eyebrow to say 'continue please'. "Jan Van Eck is mine, and he's not going to die until I say so."
She knew that Kaz wasn't the only one who had changed in those years, and there were no reasons to hide it. The grisha girl who lived in the shadows and the little boy who was scared would never meet again, both had died when the world had turned its back to them. Both had raised like phoenix and became stronger.
"The deal is the deal, Fire Girl." he smirked walking with her toward the berth. The schooner was already leaving and there was a little void between the berth and the schooner, so Kaz squeezed her hand and they both jumped. When their feet touched the berth he didn't notice he was laughing with her. Her hood was over her forehead and he couldn't hold it anymore, he stood in front of her with the steady hands of a magician and gently lowered it, feeling the hurge to see her smile again. "No secrets anymore."
"No secrets anymore." she replied keeping her eyes in his.
It was their promise to start from the beginning. Their past was a beautiful story to remember, but they would fight for their future side by side, and little did she know that for all the time she hadn't spoken with Kaz Brekker, Bastard of the Barrel. But the boy in front of her, with the light of hope in his dark eyes was the normal, simple Kaz Rietveld.
A/N:OH MY GOODNESS WE ARE HERE! This is the end of the story of our lovely, brave Fire Girl and our little, cute Kaz. I think I can cry... This is the chapter that most I love of the series and I think you can see why! Writing it was so emotional and still so easy, I knew from the first moment how I wanted their story to end and how I wanted to write it. I have many ideas for a future book with those two idiots, but in the mean time...would you like a bonus chapter where we are gonna see how they're managing they're "relationship"? Maybe where he tells her his real name...👀 but now tell me, what was the part that you most liked? Would have you made the same decisions as them? MY CHAT AND REQUESTS ARE OPEN SOO I'm gonna wait you there ;)
p.s. : who recognize the scene from an old tv series for young I took ispiration for the fight and the departure? 👀

Springtrap
Yandere
Male Reader
Part 1
Sitting in the black swivel chair, you spin once or twice before coming to a stop, grimacing at the feeling of sticky floors beneath your shoes. This place is brand new, how the hell are the floors sticky?
Actually, on that note, how is everything so covered in dust?
Sighing, your mindless fidgeting comes to a stop as the phone, just as dinky as the walls around you, begins to ring. You pick it up but put it back on the table, eyes drifting to the laptop and swing-out tablet. When you flip the former open, you note the four buttons, each relating to something you would have to reset when it comes time to. The latter has cameras that are scattered around, including a separate tab for vents. There’s an option to block off vents, which sends a chill up your spine as you glance to the big ass one at your side.
You decide to block that one off for now.
Humming, you familiarize yourself with the layout of the place, deciding to ignore the shadows that crept through your vision.
Your unenthused eyes scan and take in everything. The replicas (you had seen the originals, and they were permanently stained with both the smell and color of pizza sauce and lawsuits) that were in and around the office, as well as the little bobbleheads that sat on your desk of the animatronics, which were, for some reason, human? You boop the one who you assume to be Freddy, hearing the familiar squeak.
A small smile comes to your lips.
It was at this time that you realized you had completely ignored the man on the phone, but you couldn't really bring yourself to care.
The little drawings that were put up were authentic; not just anyone could recreate what a child's mind spits out and decides to draw.
That Freddy looks a bit fucked up.
The posters were cutely designed, and after getting the gist of what everything was and how everything works, you were on your phone the rest of the night.
When six strikes, you casually leave, giving the building a quick once over as you leave the doors, locking them behind you.
If every night is going to be like that, this is going to get boring.
-
He’s stuck.
This suit traps him like a rabid dog, eager to stay gripped onto his neck.
Still, things would be changing soon.
He can feel it.
He can feel it as a fresh breeze, the first in many years, hits his nostrils, sending a wave of euphoria through his system. The bloodied musk that hung in the dank room was not a pleasant one.
He can feel it as his body accepts this new host, more and more, until soon, quite soon, he will become one with his vessel.
Just as the animatronics before him did.
He ponders.
Why was he being freed from this prison of his own design?
Is he being taken somewhere?
…
Will there be a night guard to terrorize?
A grin takes to his broken lips as he ignores the pain and blood that comes from them. Oh, a night guard! Truly, that will be a sight!
He can't wait.
For now, however, he must play dead.
My, that voice that shouts with excitement from behind him…
It sounds so familiar.
"Bring the truck around!" He calls. "I found one, a real one! It's got the rips, the weird colors, and what I am going to assume is pizza sauce! Ohohoh man, I hit the jackpot with this one! Fazbear's Fright needed something, and here it is!"
His congratulatory tone made the man within the suit want to throw up. Finding him was nothing to be happy about; he is despicable, incapable of redemption, and an awful being.
And you know what?
That's just the way he likes it.
So to have someone happy to find him, especially for their own purposes?
He won't let it stand.
Yeah, if this place has a nightguard, he'll kill them without mercy before burning the entire thing to the ground.
Might as well make it fun for himself.
As light peeks through, clearly originating from a flashlight, he feels his pupils shrink, resisting the urge to let out a groan as his weak eyes ache from their decades of being in the dark.
"Whoahoh! This one looks gnarly!" The same man as before speaks, probably referencing the organs and tendons that were showing. "C'mon, let's get it up!"
His grin only grows as two people lift him onto a dolly, beginning the move.
Goodbye, saferoom.
And hello, Fazbear's Fright.
-
Humming, you walk into the building, skimming over the decorations once more before noticing something.
The papers that had fallen onto the ground from before, they had dirt on them. Not surprising on its own, but when they were in the shape of tire tracks?
You decide to follow them, using your memory of the cameras to guide you through the building, which was already rather linear anyway.
Entering the last area, you could see a rather dilapidated animatronic suit, with organs visible and its fur matted with blood. Real blood. The old Springbonnie suit was nearly green from how old and dirty it was.
Your eyebrows raise. "Is that guy just stupid or did he knowingly bring in a suit that has a dead body in it?"
Honestly, you didn't care. "Eh, whatever. It'll probably start moving when I start my shift… I've heard those rumors about the other locations." You turn, stretching, unaware of the eyes that followed you or the head that turned your way.
Damn, does he want to kill this one?
Well, he can think it over more soon. After the merge.
He grins again, feeling his uneven, gouged skin begin to flare with pain.
You exit the room fully, making your way back to the office with all the urgency of an ADHD-riddled person doing laundry.
Which is to say… not much.
You fall into the chair, cursing as the thin mesh cushion does nothing to protect your tailbone from the metal frame of the chair. The phone rings not a moment later, you picking it up and laying it on the table again, eager to ignore it just as you had done before. You stretch again, arms raising above your head as you begin to flip through cameras, finding the rabbit in the same spot it was in before.
You yawn.
Hopefully it starts moving soon, or else the entire reason you took this job would be unfulfilled.
You were bored, and you remembered this place from the times you had gone with your younger brother, who was now in his early twenties. You, however, were 28 years of age, with nothing better to do than 'investigate' the Fazbear's Fright that opened up. Still, if that rabbit has a corpse in it, it should make things more fun.
As you lazily flip through your cameras, you set it down and look to the side, seeing a rather dirty looking man with an eyepatch and fox ears. To his confusion, before he could lunge at you, you reach out and swipe a hand through his chest. You continue to swipe forwards and backwards, the incorporeal man stuck standing there until you leaned back.
"So, you're a ghost."
His mouth opens as if to retort, but he just gives up and leaps at you, you not even looking at him anymore. He closes his mouth halfway through the jump, and with an unsatisfied sigh, he disappears.
You continue flipping through the cameras, checking in on the rabbit a couple of times before shoving the tablet out of the way, opening the laptop to have it ready and sitting back in your chair.
You glance towards a shifting figure in front of the window, the hat and bear ears telling of who it is. He limps along, eventually falling beneath your view before seemingly phasing through the wall and leaping at you. You stare passively as he does so, him not completing the jump to instead stand in front of you, confused.
For shits and giggles, you wave your hand through his chest once or twice.
"Why… aren't you… scared?" He croaks, voice ruined from years of no use.
"Oh, was I supposed to be scared?" You genuinely ask. "Uh, sorry. If you do it again I promise I'll hyperventilate."
"Don't try to… lessen your survival chances…"
"Okay. My bad."
He sighs, and after annoyedly rubbing his face, he disappears.
You flip out your cameras once more, finding the screen obscured by static and a small error in the center. Lazily, you reset cams.
When your screen clears, you check the rabbit. He looks… strange. Like his body is evolving in front of your eyes.
To be honest, you don't give enough of a shit to watch a potentially world-changing discovery if it looks that gross. You aren't paid enough to, anyway.
At this pay grade, you even coming into the damn building is volunteer work.
You check your phone for the time, seeing a cool time of one in the morning.
"Aside from that science experiment gone wrong happening in the back room, it's still really damn boring."
However, it's still not boring enough to watch that transformation or whatever. That corpse (well, at this point, you kinda doubt it's dead) can do whatever the hell he wants with that suit. It's his body, not your business.
After another fifteen minutes of staring at a wall, you check the cameras to the sound of loud clicks and pops, now seeing a heavily scarred man with 1.5 rabbit ears in place of the suit. He takes one step out from his original spot, body heaving forward before he lifts himself up, looking up at the camera with a grin.
"Huh. That's new." You say, watching him jolt forward, continuing to take steps before relearning how to walk smoothly.
It only takes him a moment to rocket off.
"I doubt that's good." You mumble, beginning to flip through the cameras to follow him before playing a sound in the room behind him, making him pause. He turns, walking back with a confused expression.
Continuing to flip through cameras, you watch as the man, who you'll dub Rabbit Guy, wanders, seemingly having lost his focus. Hearing a sound to your left, you pay no heed to whoever it is, instead waggling your hand in what you would assume to be their torso.
"You're strange…" They say.
"Uh-huh. If you'd excuse me, I am currently working on keeping Rabbit Guy the hell away from me." Your voice is monotonous but sincere; you aren't trying to be sarcastic or mean, just trying to tell them the facts.
Glancing to the side, you see that it was a child, so you were waving your hand in his collar. "Oh, my bad. Does that… make you guys uncomfortable?" You ask, retracting your hand.
"No, we can't feel it."
"Huh." You blandly respond, playing the sounds to lead Rabbit Guy back to where he started, before resetting sounds as you weren't able to play them anymore.
It seems like Rabbit Guy is getting progressively more and more annoyed at being led back, if his attempts to move fast enough to avoid the sounds or block out his ears meant anything.
His body was responding to the sounds, not him.
It was then that he disappeared, so you check vents, finding him in one that led directly to the room beside your office.
You block it off, much to his annoyance, before yawning and sitting back as any thumps you hear from inside the vents come to a stop.
You find him standing in the room where he had entered the vent, irritated as he glares at the camera. Preemptively, you reset all, thankfully right as cams and sound go out.
Sighing, you lazily check through cameras, brows slightly furrowing as you look for him. He was completely gone, not in vents or in rooms. It really is unfortunate how many blind spots and shadowed areas there are.
When you hear the thumping of the vents, you search through them, only finding a stupid knick-knack laying on its side halfway in your sight.
Looking to your side, you peek into the vent, leaning down to see if anything was there. Your gaze meets Rabbit Guy's.
"Shit." You say, quickly switching cams over to this one and holding down the seal button.
Your eyes shift back to him, finding him way too close for comfort. As you lift your finger to let the gate close on the vent, the man (who was crouch walking) catches it, forcing it back up. You hear something grind that definitely shouldn't be grinding, and you have a feeling that that vent cover just might be broken.
Getting out of the vent, he stands over you, waiting for some sort of plea or… literally any response at all.
"So, you, uh… come here often?" You ask, leaving him genuinely at a loss.
"Wh- was that a pickup line?" His rough, baritone voice catches you slightly off-guard.
You weren't expecting something that was pretty much a zombie to have such a good voice, or a slight british accent for that matter. "Was it? Shit, more people've flirted with me than I thought."
"Really? That's all you can come up with before your death? I'd hate for those to be your final words." He lightly teases, leaning against the wall with a mean grin.
You look up at the ceiling with a vague smile, his eyes widening momentarily. "To be honest, of any place to die, I'd much rather have it be in a place where I know I'll reach the front pages than in some random alley."
His grin falls into a frown as he watches you turn to him, the smile still on your face. It feels strange.
He feels strange.
Why does a random night guard make him feel so…
So… comfortable?
You were calm, collected, not making any sudden moves or even attempting to exit the chair. Theoretically, the perfect prey, but not a satisfying kill.
If he even wants to kill you, that is.
“What’s your name?” He asks, watching as you spin to face him in your chair. You would be taller if you stood, but he would still have a few inches on you.
“Y/N. You?”
“I’m… William. Or, rather, I was, when I was well and truly human.”
“And now?” You ask.
“I don’t exactly have a name.”
“Can I still call you William, then? Well, if I live long enough to do so?” You ask, eyes moving up to meet his. Looking up at him like that… He wishes the hot feeling in the pit of his stomach would go away.
“...Fine.”
“I mean… are you going to kill me?” You ask, face not shifting as he glares down at you.
“I won’t kill you on the first night, you need to give me more entertainment.” At least, that’s what he told himself.
“Oh, so we’re both here for the same reason.” You blankly say, his face contorting from a glare to confusion once more.
“You’re here… for entertainment?” He slowly asks, answered by your nod.
“I’m certainly not here for the pay. This place gives like half of minimum wage but I can’t complain about it because the other part is supposed to come from tips. Somehow.”
“How do you even live?”
“Well, right now I’m on an paid leave due to some unfortunate deaths in my family. To be honest, I never really cared for any of them, but hey. I’ll take any chance for a break I can. Then I got bored.”
He huffs out a laugh. “So you went to another job on your break?”
“Listen, getting a month off leaves a man with little to do when capitalism has left me with no hobbies. Besides, this gives me a great excuse to continue avoiding people.”
His lips curl into an amused grin as he leans forward, lowering his head to be eye level with yours. "Well, you won't be avoiding me." He practically purrs, you averting your eyes at the tone he uses.
Why would he say it like that?!
His golden eyes follow you as you close the laptop's screen, enjoying your reaction. You…
He'll keep you around.
You're entertaining and friendly. Open, and… warm.
He wonders.
You're human, and fully alive. He's a revived corpse who merged with his vessel. You probably are very warm compared to him.
When he comes back to his senses, he notices you slowly raising out of your seat, hand outstretched towards him.
Well, might as well take the chance.
He grabs your wrist, looking down at you unimpressed. You quietly huff, falling back into your chair and forcing him to move away from the wall in order to not dislocate your wrist.
Well, his hypothesis is correct. You are very warm.
He feels the tightening in his gut, not wanting to let go but knowing that he will have to.
You, however, don't actually care either way. You begin your attempt again, this time with your left hand. Slowly raising out of your seat, you actually manage to stand fully up before he notices again, grabbing your other wrist.
"What are you even trying to do?" He asks, a light sneer on his lips.
"Well... uh, I was trying to… boop your nose? If you're bonded with one of the original suits, then I figured either you or Fredbear would have the sound effect."
He lets out a few short laughs, his sneer replaced with the same amused grin as before.
"I'm afraid neither of us have the sound effect. That only came about with the second and third generations of animatronics."
You hum, interested.
His eyes quickly scan over you, taking in your form. This position, practically holding you hostage… Needless to say, he didn't dislike it.
Still, he releases you as he catches you glancing at what he assumes to be a phone. Things have advanced quite far since he was trapped.
You turn it on quickly, checking the time. “Well, we have around an hour and a half before my shift ends, so…” Pausing, you check the time again. An hour and a half?
He steps closer, you glancing back up at him before leaning back as he leans forward, looming over you. “Tomorrow, you best make this more fun for me. I’ll greet you, but then I’ll head to the back. Try and stop me from getting in.”
“Uh, sure. Are you still planning on making the punishment for loss, uh, death?”
His eyes narrow in coordination with a widening grin. “That’s for me to know. You either figure it out, or you don’t. It all depends how well you play.” His gruff voice slightly echoes in the mostly empty building, you nodding in response.
“Oh, cool. Can I tell my brother about you?” You ask suddenly, him quirking a brow as he stares down at you, easily at least half a foot taller than you. He was always tall, but now that he’s in this new form, he grew to be somewhere from 6’6 to 6’8. You sit down once more, exacerbating the height difference.
“Feel free to. Just know that if he ever comes around here, he won’t be alive for very long.”
“I doubt he will. He’s always preferred Foxy the most because he has taste, but-”
“Taste? For liking that liability-strewn fox? You like him as well?”
“To be honest, I never really liked any of them more than the other. I was in my emo phase when I went to see them, so it was practically illegal for me to like anything. But Foxy had sharp teeth and a wicked lookin’ hook, so… I guess I did.”
He hums, clearly slightly annoyed.
“Are you jealous that I liked the fox more than the rabbit that isn’t even the same generation as you?”
“I really should kill you.” His irritated expression shows the truth to your statement.
“It’s okay, I’m willing to call Springbonnie my favorite.”
Now, William was confused. Your tone… you weren’t joking. You were being genuine about something as stupid as this? What is with you?
“You’re very confusing. I think you joke, and then I listen to your tone and you’re genuine. But still, I wouldn’t mind if you did so.”
“It’s not nearly as confusing as how time passes in this place. It’s been like ten minutes since I met you but the clock says like three or four hours have passed.”
“What? Really?” His brows furrow as he steps closer, finding another excuse to close the distance between you both as he leans over the chair, seeing you pointing to the screen. “How strange…”
“Yeah. It doesn’t seem like tomorrow’s hunt will last for six hours, then. Thankfully.” You sigh.
“What, do you not want to feel like my prey for six hours straight?” He grins, leaning over further until his arm rests on your shoulder.
You shiver. “Why do you have to say it like that?”
“Because it makes you react, obviously. It’s entertaining to watch you squirm from something as simple as... the tone of my voice.” Of course, in order to prove his point, he does exactly what he did before, lowering his voice a few pitches and upping the growliness of it.
In covering your eyes, you also cover your cheeks, which have gained a slight flush. “William, I am begging you. Please, please, please, stop talking like that.”
And, naturally progressing, he was left somewhat stunned by the sound of your pleading tone. There’s just something about it, especially as you say his name, that makes him want to…
...makes him want to chase, and capture, and possess forever.
You as his prized prey, and him as the hunter.
“I’ll use it when necessary.” He vaguely answers, watching your head droop.
“I’ll take what I can get.” You concede breathily.
He chuckles, hearing the chime of a bell, signifying 6 in the morning. "Well, I suppose I'll see you tomorrow, then. Don't keep me waiting."
"Asshole. I won't." You turn your head away from him, hiding the flush on your face, and stand up, stretching. "See ya, William."
He hums, eyes tracing your form as you stretch. It was a nice view, watching the button up shirt crease around your back as you stretch, clearly hinting at the muscle beneath. His eyes did drift lower once or twice, and that's how he figures out that damn, you have a really nice ass!
You begin to walk out, and he follows you with his eyes, watching you turn past the replica Freddy husk and unlock the door, exiting into the fresh morning. His eyelids droop, gaze slipping up as his lips curl into a wide grin.
“Y/N… I won’t kill you. Especially not when I’m presented with such an ample opportunity to make this into something so entertaining.”
Well…
Is that the only reason?
Of course, he knows it isn’t.
His grin falls, leaving him coldly leering at the aged panels above him before his sight shifts back to the room around him. As he exits the office, he glances at the stained and shaded glass of the door, not allowing much, if any, light in. He turns away, heading back to where he was originally.
As he walks, he lets his form shift, feeling his body grow to his previous monster rabbit self, the creaks of his metal joints loud in the silent building.
He ignores any shadows that creep in the edges of his vision, the specters traversing without sound.
“This is going to be… boring.” His voice, far rougher than before, comes out unfeeling and croaky. As he returns to his previous position, slouching over once more, he decides to use his old tactic to pass time; inflicting enough pain on himself to fall unconscious. It doesn’t matter if his dreams are infested with darkness, nor how much he suffers in them.
It was better than the boredom of sitting in one position with an unchanging environment.
He begins forcing his muscles to flex and strain within the suit and pull against the beams they have welded to, making him grit his teeth before the searing pain fades away, along with his vision.
Goodnight, Y/N.
-
“Yo.” You greet your brother, the man tiredly yawning as he ruffles his hair.
“Heya, Y/N. What’re you up so early for?”
“Well, I got bored and got a night shift job at this dinky little horror attraction opening up next week. I decided to tell you about what happened there before I head off to sleep.”
“You got bored during a break from your job so you… got another job?”
“Y’know, William said the same thing.” You say, your brother narrowing his eyes at you.
“A coworker?” He asks.
“Eh, not quite… he is the reason I stayed up to talk to you, though.”
He hums, walking around the couch you were splayed on with your shirt half unbuttoned.
“So, to begin my tale, you remember Freddy’s? The pizzeria with the animatronics?” You question.
“Yeah?”
“Well the horror place I went to is based off of that; it’s filled with replicas and a few actual things from the pizzerias of the past, but something came in tonight that was… different.”
“Which was?”
“An animatronic. One of the originals, Springbonnie. Granted, the suit was ripped to shit and covered in enough dirt to be green, but it was authentic. It even has the dead body! Well - not so dead body, but still visible.”
“Did you call the cops?” He asks, worried.
“Hell no! I’m not paid enough to give a shit about what could-or-could-not-be a dead body. Either way, he transformed into a human, which was rather odd, but-”
“Just to be clear, this rabbit had a dead body inside and transformed into a human, and you don’t question it?”
“No. Continuing on, he got into my office and then we talked for a bit, I learned that his name is William, time passed really weirdly, and then we struck a deal where I have to keep him out of my office or I'll maybe die.”
“You’re still going back there?! And ‘maybe die?!’”
“Yeah, he said the knowledge about whether or not I die from losing the hunt was ‘for him to know.’ I didn’t question it further.”
“You know, Y/N, sometimes it feels like I’m the older sibling. You’re fucking stupid.”
“I’m well aware.”
He leans over the couch, glaring down at you. “Then wisen up and quit that damn job.”
“I’m good. William is good company.”
“He threatened to kill you!”
“And? He hasn’t. Yet.”
“You infuriate me, gayboy.” He says, stepping away from the couch.
“Cool. I’ll sleep here for now, when you get back from work I’ll definitely be up.”
“Whatever.” He waves his hand at you, ignoring the middle finger pointing his direction from behind the couch’s back.
