so i fell and hit my head on the sidewalk yesterday (0/10 btw would not recommend), and according to the printout the doctor gave me its suggested that while i'm recovering i 'give my brain a rest', which, lol yeah, way ahead of you there, obvs.

anyway, in between sleeping and watching old episodes of nova on pbs, i'm trying to determine what is the most boring, least mentally stimulating video game task i can perform that doesn't involve installing a later era assassin's creed game. so far, the winner is sidequests in the grasslands in final fantasy 7 rebirth. zzzzzzz

my personal headcanon for "out of the closet and now officially dating" hilson re: how they'd each identify is basically:

house: is bisexual, maaaybe uses that term every once in a while but mostly calls himself gay as an umbrella term. he especially enjoys doing this around straight people and then mentioning how much he loves boobs in the same sentence and basking in the confusion. also calls himself a fag bc we know he loves reclaiming slurs (and i think he would appreciate any word that has the potential to simultaneously upset both straight and queer people). mostly just refuses to settle on a label but feels confident in his attraction to both men and women

wilson: in contrast, this poor creature would love to be able to label himself but he cannot figure out if he's genuinely attracted to women or not. he's suffered extensively from comphet and he thinks his past marriages weren't real attraction, maybe? but amber . . . wilson feels so strongly that he really did love her and was sexually attracted to her. but all other signs point to gay! help!! he's so confused!!!

(he goes in logical circles for hours and greg "labels are stupid" house just rolls his eyes and kisses him and tells him it doesn't matter what he calls himself as long as he remains enthusiastic about sticking his dick in house's ass, but goddamn. wilson just really wants to know)

I think the funniest thing my mom ever said in her scandalization that David Tennant was playing (I know not technically but in her mind) a gay man was when I told her Crowley was in love with Aziraphale and she straight up responded

“No that can’t be true! Crowley did things with women that proved he was straight!”

And I am still. Trying to solve the mystery of what the fuck she meant by that because I can only remember Crowley having three meaningful interactions with women in the show
