Fanfic prompt:

the bunny legend twist is really funny

And considering how both the twilight curse and the darkness induced curse in link to the past work differently

The twilight curse turns you into your most innermost animal (in the case of link and people consider that it has something to do with the triforce that makes link different ) or just straight up turns you into a ghost (like literally the rest of all hyrule)

But considering that the curse found in the dark world specifically says that it is a reflection of your heart and therefore already works differently than the twilight curse as you can be a monstrosity with no real limits other than how Messed up you are

Wouldn’t it be beyond messed up when legend picked up the twilight shard but his innocent rabbit appearance just didn’t happen

Because it just triggered his dark curse

Like for all he says he finds it annoying it probably would hurt a lot more to realize that this soft vulnerable part of him doesn’t reflect who he is

At least not anymore

The curse in link to the past can turn you into a monstrous beast more often than not

Like that must hurt to end up a dangerous jaded beast

the messed up rabbit equivalent of one because the appearance of a predatory rabbit in many media signifies the loss of innocence as it twists into pure violence against what hurt them once

(Interestingly enough a white rabbit with red eyes is usually the symbol for it or one who wears a rabbit skull on its head instead of a face )

So let him be a little nightmare and hate himself as he takes the form of a monstrosity once more (fucked up were rabbit legend my beloved)

And like that would essentially be a feedback loop for him because the more he hates how he looks the more it would reflect on the outside

The worse it will get for legend because he hates even more how he looks

And it shows again

Being a bitter, snarky very confrontational lil guy… legend probably would dial up the self destructiveness pretty fast even if he is fighting not to be a monstrosity (feedback loop my beloved would work against him every step of the way)

Meanwhile twilight has to watch in horror as legend turns into a snarling creature thing and runs off full monster mode

Like twilight just turned around and the first thing he sees is a…”thing” that probably is legend

Then legend freaked the hell out and ran into the woods in fear of what he just turned into

And twilight realized that being a wolf of rather average size is not something to complain over

So Wolfie chase it is

And when he gets to him it only seems to get worse because this is going into melted eldritch horror territory by this point

...and he still has the ability to talk like a person and is being self deprecating about it

Legend be like : “I am such a monstrosity …”

Twilight: “no no it’s alright”

Legend : “I miss my uncle”

Twilight: “oh, that’s deeper than I wanna go”

And also they probably have to get the chain not to shoot at him or else it probably would get even worse than it already is

Or get sky… but for that he needs to drag legend out the cave he crawled in and leave him unsupervised

And it very much isn’t going great in the slightest already

Linked Universe Sick Headcanons (bc I'm both stressed and bored and could use a pick-me-up... pls feel free to comment so i have something to distract myself with)

Wind: Downplays or denies everything. Hide symptoms if he thinks being "found out" will bench him from the adventure. Doesn't get sick that frequently, though. Something something pirates citrus vitamin C etc...

Wild: Like Wind, but also kind of ignores his symptoms? He's the type to go, "Yeah, my guts feel like they're turning themselves inside out but it do be like dat lol"

Time: Is unnecessarily dramatic/grouchy for minor things, if he has the ability to be. Otherwise he's more of a stoic, "fight through it" kind of sickie. clutches my beloved lactose intolerant!Time headcanon to my chest and hisses

Sky: Gets knocked flat on his a$$ by any kind of illness. From the slightest sniffle to the worst flu, it all hits him the same. He's particularly susceptible to respiratory illness. Or any illness, really.

Twilight: Hides it or fights through it, but if he thinks he's an infection risk for his brothers, he will 100% self-isolate. And be a lil mopey about it. Sickness doesn't go away when he goes Wolfie, but doesn't get worse either.

Four: Just like Sky, gets absolutely debilitated. By anything and everything. But he's good about taking potions and letting his body rest when he needs it. Also, each color takes a symptom when they're split.

Hyrule: Just with his more medieval/tragic timeline and all, I think he fails to understand germ theory. Is unfamiliar with the concept, so he lives with an above average incidence of illness and doesn't even know it. He is an incubus of plague. Chronic sniffles. Love that for him.

Legend: Kiiiiind of an ass when he gets sick. He just kind of operates with a certain level of pain, so when it's even worse he is just that much more grumpy. Usually resolves himself to just ride it out, though.

Warriors: The most dramatic mf in the entire Chain. In the entire kingdom of Hyrule, even. Tends to get really grossed out by his or his brothers' symptoms. Total germaphobe.

And yes, you will see all of these during Feveruary. Get hyped, friendos.

I swear I genuinely meant for this to be a quick sketch, nothing fancy, I put it in my Garbage Sketchbook and everything, but I just couldn't help myself 😩 It's Wolf Siblings!! And Twilight taking care of Wild!! There's no way I could resist such a wonderful prompt

Sky what's wrong with you, you aren't innocent and I know that you tried to rizz up Peatrice once and why you trashed that letter on the toilet? On a soft side, did Groose really named the surface Groose land?

For Wild: Can you be less reckless (4th wall here) playing your game and you immediately walk into danger without a second thought (ignore the countless deaths you have got in your game)? What's something that you did miss from your Hyrule? Is Kass still around?

For Twilight: What's your favorite dungeon you have done? Do you still use any of the items of the dungeon? And why the hell an Oocca??

Sky: Although yes, Groose really did name the surface "Grooseland." He still tries to argue for it sometimes, but most for fun now.

Wild: No, I miss the towns and people, and Kass is still around. He's mostly in Rito village now with his family.

Twilight: Probably the Forest temple for me, mostly because the environment itself wasn't trying to actively kill me. I do still use most of my items, except for Oocca, she went back to the City in the Sky after my adventure.
