We Want That one
This is a Satine/Cody/Obi Wan of a flavor that I have not seen before and hope to see more of. It takes a bit there but I think it will be worth the wait.
At the end of the mission to Mandalore, Obi Wan decides to stay with Satine and leave the Jedi Order. Now it is important to note this is done with Qui Gon’s full and loving support.  In this one Qui Gon is not a raging asshole with many issues and trauma (Melida/Daan happened and after it did both Qui Gon and Obi Wan were required to go to therapy-both separately and together- before they were allowed to go on mission together again). Also it is important to note that in this one ‘Will of the Force’ is not an excuse Qui gon uses to do whatever the hell he wants. The Force does actually have OPINIONS that it will share with specific Jedi (There is no tie to power, abilities, position, or previous messages for who will get a specific message. There is a tie, though not complete because the Force has other measures that mortals cannot comprehend, between who is making the decision the Force has an opinion on and which Jedi gets the message).  The Force did let both Obi Wans and Qui Gon know that it fully supported Obi Wan leaving the Jedi to be with Satine.
So Obi Wan returns to the temple to formally leave the Order, get comm codes for people he wants to stay in touch with, and his remaining things from his room.  He is allowed to keep his lightsaber and encouraged to keep his login to the Temple Archives so he could keep learning.  Six months after he returns to Mandalore, he and Satine marry with his Jedi friends and family in attendance. A year after that their son Korkie is born. He and Satine take up the mantle of Duke and Duchess and balance each other well.  Though Satine remains a pacifist, she does not begrudge her husband not being one and the addition of Obi Wan lessens the power of some of her more odious advisers. At some point within the first few years Death Watch attacks and through a series of strange and unfortunate (for Death Watch) both Satine and Obi Wan simultaneously defeat Pre Vizsla and win the Darksaber. They both take on the title of Mandalore jointly and unite the clans. The stabilization of Mandalore goes largely unnoticed by the republic (Including Sidiuous and Plagieus, they both just kind of assumed that everything was going as planned)
Now we come to the Naboo mission, a few years down the line. There is little change to the start, save for the places where we are missing Obi Wan. Qui Gon still ends up, with Padme, on Tatooine and helps free Anakin. The High Council is still leery of Anakin and accepting him. Qui Gon is still adamant that this child must be trained. Padme is still tricked into calling for a vote of no confidence. There does come a change when Qui Gon meets up with Padme again as they conspire to return to Naboo. Qui Gon gets an idea and puts in a call to someone he is sure Padme should talk to immediately. When the call connects, greet the pair on the other end as Duke and Duchess Mand’alor.  The man, Obi Wan, sighs deeply and turns to Padme, and in the driest tone she had ever heard goes, ‘I apologize for Qui Gon. He thinks he’s funny and no one has ever been able to disabuse him of that notion. We can be either called Mand’alor, or duke/duchess, you do not need to call us both’.
Qui Gon explains what is going on with Naboo and Satine immediately goes to Padme, ‘Oh, you poor thing, we will get you some humanitarian aid immediately, right dear?’  to which Obi Wan agrees.
Something about the way Qui Gon is now looking amused and mischievous and the way that Satine had said that left Padme, for all that she was a bit on the naive side when it came to galaxy politics (As evidenced by the fact that she did not realize slavery did exist until she faced it directly and that she did really believe that doing what was right drove the Galactic senate), with the belief that there was something more going.
They leave Coruscant and are met, just before reaching Naboo’s system, by a ship full of Mandalorians led by Obi Wan.  He apologizes that Satine could not be there as well, but they tried not to be off planet at the same time, just in case, and Obi Wan was better for this.
Also as soon as Obi Wan saw Anakin, he felt the immediate and nearly irresistible urge to adopt him (Both the Manda AND the Force had opinions here), only the knowledge that he did not know whose child it was and the fact that Satine would kill him for adopting without her stopped him.  Obi Wan did take a moment to ask Qui Gon why there was a small child going into a warzone.
Eventually they got down to business. Obi Wan explained that, since Mandalore was not part of the Republic, they could not send an army to help with the Trade Federation’s illegal block (particularly since, officially, no one knew about it).  However, if their old friend Qui Gon (Qui Gon good naturedly protested the ‘Old’. In the same dry tone as earlier, Obi Wan said that they all knew that Qui Gon had been there at the start of the Republic (i.e 25,000 years old), there was no need to lie. Then Obi Wan winked at Anakin, making the boy giggle) happened to mention that Naboo was experiencing a crisis and Mandalore chose to send humanitarian aid, well that was not declaring war on a Republic entity. Of course they would also have to send a security force with their aid workers (Never mind that each aid worker is also a commando) there might be pirates or other dangers along the way.
Blockaded though Naboo may be, the blockade was not meant to hold up to a platoon of Mandalorians (sorry a group of Mandalorian aid workers with their security escort). They get to the surface, though liberation would take more firepower than they had immediate access to (particularly since they people were dying, thus a time crunch) so Padme negotiates with the Gungans to take back their planet. By the way, as soon as the Mandalorians and the Gungan warrior meet they get along like a house on fire (to the concern of more than a few politicians later). Our core group heads to the Theed palace to end things, while the Mandalorians and the Gungan begin the liberation of the camps (Made easier by the fact that the Naboo had not just been waiting to be rescued, many had been working from within the camps to make things as difficult for their occupiers as possible. At least two of the camps, upon hearing that liberation was incoming, promptly rushed their guards and were in the process of tearing the droids apart when the Gungan/Mando liberation team arrived. It may or may not have done more for Gungan/Naboo relations than anything Padme did).
Obi Wan does go with Qui Gon to battle the Sith. He goes armored, made specifically so that he can fight like a Jedi in it. He also goes armed with the Darksaber and a slugthrower (Obi Wan did indeed bring a gun to a lightsaber fight). While there is a little fighting, long before they reach the power reactor, Obi Wan drops back far enough that he is able to shoot Maul in the knee and they capture the Sith.  Anakin does end up taking out the shield generator (though the ship he ‘accidentally’ acquired was from the Mandalorian ship- where he had been told to stay for the battle; most of the mandos were a little alarmed at the 9 year old in the space battle but making heart eyes at the fact that the was able to hotwire one of their ships to do it).
After the battle Obi Wan calls his wife and introduces her to Anakin, Satine promptly asks ‘when are you bringing our new son home so we can say the adoption vow?’.
The High council arrive, more willing to admit Anakin (though still reluctant) to find that it is a moot point because Anakin, with Qui Gon blessing (as the Force only said that Anakin needed to be Jedi trained, Obi Wan can do that) was going to be adopted by Obi wan and Satine. Everyone is in agreement that this is actually the best solution (I want it clear that this is not a slight against the Jedi Order, their rules and restrictions are there for a reason and they would have taken Anakin in, but they could all sense that he was ambivalent about it). Everyone parts ways, with a light reminder to Obi Wan Jocasta Nu is waiting semi impatiently to read his most recent paper comparing Jedi historical Force traditions and Mandalorian historical Manda sects (The Manda and the Force both are and are not the same thing).
As soon as Anakin is adopted, Mandalore has an excuse to go after the Hutts (Frankly some of the more aggressive Mandos were getting restless). Due to the way Mandalorian adoption works, adopting a child effectively adds all of childs relatives (that the kid wants to claim) as the adopters relative as well (essentially adopting Anakin makes Shmi family). Family trees get very complicated on Mandalore very quickly (also all new ways to define relationships).
There are some changes we should acknowledge before going any further. Obviously Anakin growing up as the oldest son of the leaders of Mandalore has some difference (Korkie-Then aged 5- was ecstatic, he had specifically been asking for an older brother for two years), for all that Obi Wan is also training him in the ways of the force and the Manda. Also Shimi is living with them now.
There are some political ramifications that come from what could, in the loosest sense, be the Mandalorian invasion of Naboo (as some politicians privately call it) and the fact that the Gungan cities become a prime vacation spot for Mandalorian warriors. It never really goes anywhere, since doing so would mean acknowledging that the Trade Federation also invaded Naboo.
Padme wanted Naboo to cut ties with the Republic, she was fairly disgusted with the interaction with the senate which was highlighted by how differently the interaction with Mandalor went. This was never going to be allowed to happen (Palpatine’s status as Chancellor depends on Naboo being part of the Republic). This combined with Palpatine's (and other politicians) reactions to the Mandalorians that saved her planet, the continuing mistreatment of the Gungans by some (but much less) Naboo humans, and an unfortunate accident that left Padme as one of the sole survivors of her family mean that Padme does not become a senator. Instead when her term is up she, many of her handmaidens, and the other survivors of her family all move to Mandalore where they maintain a close relationship with the ruling family.
Padme and Anakin start dating when Anakin is 20. Their relationship is very much different than it was in Canon. For one, they had been friends for years before getting together. They were also not each other’s firsts (both having had romantic/sexual relationships with others prior to getting together). They are also not trying to squeeze too much into too little time as they try to hide from their friends and family, or justify to themselves their quick marriage. Frankly the lack of a war or a secret massacre putting strain on their relationship also helped.
Satine, Obi Wan, and Shmi never put any restrictions on how long they should be together before getting married, nor could they but it is important that they did not even try. They did highly recommend that, before any action that could be legally binding or have long lasting consequences (like kids) that the pair take at least one trip to the outer rim in a two person ship (the equivalent of taking a road trip together).
Anakin and Padme get married when Anakin is 22.
The Clone Wars break out a year later, in much the same way as Canon though obviously with different people in place of Obi Wan, Anakin, and Padme (Everything about the Clone Wars and the Clones is pushed back by four years. The setback is mostly because Maul was captured instead of bisected. Palpatine needed to be more careful for the first few years to make sure his cover was not blown). Though Count Dooku is the leader of the Separatists, he is never revealed to be a Sith.
Mandalore remains largely neutral, though they register an official complaint (that absolutely everyone involved knew would go nowhere) that Jango Fett’s, a Mandalorian, progeny were being effectively enslaved in the GAR. The Republic is able to produce paperwork signed by the late Jango Fett where Fett relinquishes any claim to any clones created using his DNA with the exception of a single unaltered clone (Boba), thus denying the clones automatic Mandalorian citizenship.  Privately Obi Wan contacts the Jedi and tells them that any GAR Clone that wishes to not be fighting for the republic will be welcome on Mandalore, where they can get assistance setting up and where being armored (and thus hiding the most recognizable face in the galaxy) would be perfectly acceptable.  The Jedi do find a way to start funneling clones that want to desert toward Mandalore. Oddly enough it actually decreases the amount of clones that want to leave, there was something about just having the option that made the clones feel like they could stay to protect people, instead of being effectively enslaved to the Republic (and it is indisputably true that innocents are being harmed by the CIS).
Mandalore does send ‘humanitarian aid’ and their security escorts to any planet that wishes for help. Ryloth annexes itself to Mandalore after the fifth time the Mandalorains were instrumental in repelling yet another CIS invasion before the GAR could arrive (The Twilek of Ryloth do not begrudge the actual soldiers of the GAR. They do understand that it is a big galaxy, they can only protect so many places at once, and the various battalions do not actually get to choose where they are being sent. However they do blame the Politicians of the Republic for the war going on).
Somewhere in the first year of the war a group of Mandalorians find Boba Fett. This group, who had long been close to Obi Wan (and had in fact been part of the group going to Naboo), clock the 10 year old with Jango Fett’s face putting himself in dangerous situations and forcibly bring him to Mandalore,  where Korkie goes ‘Free little brother. For Me! Don’t mind if I do!’ and adopts Boba into the family (for the rest of his life Boba will maintain that there is some form of Captive Syndrome happening, but eventually Boba accepts it).
During the second year of the War several representatives from the Republic are sent to Mandalore, in theory to encourage Mandalore to join with the Republic for the war but several are also secretly on Palpatine’s payroll and looking to destabilize Mandalore or at least their ability to send people to protect other planets (which is making it difficult to extend the war). They are escorted by Qui Gon Jinn’s battalion (an amalgamation of the 212th and the 501st), accompanied by Qui Gon’s new Padawan Ahsoka.
The representatives were given the biggest run around that was politically feasible (Which is a lot, every member of the ruling family, their closest advisers, and the escorts are all little shits who knows how to pull off ‘we’ll piss you off and you can’t do anything about it’) led by Boba, who still does not like Jedi very much; even he understands what happened was a battle and not an attack so does not want to be around Qui Gon. Qui Gon and his troopers are greeted like family.
Satine and Obi Wan, as soon as they catch sight of Commander Cody, go ‘Ooooh Pretty’ (Satine had developed a limited Force Sensitivity after carrying Korkie, enough that she could perceive Force presences and both thought Cody’s force presence was the most beautiful they had ever seen). Qui Gon, who had to suffer from a year on the run with Smitten Padawan Obi Wan and smitten Protectee Satine, immediately recognizes the looks in both their eyes and decides he is too old for this shit. He ignores all of it to go play flirt with Shmi (neither he nor Shmi are actually interested in each other and they know it. Qui Gon has not been attracted to anyone other than Tahl and in this one Shmi is very much a Lesbian. They both enjoy flirting and are glad they have someone they can do it with without giving the wrong idea).
I am torn between if I want Padme and Anakin to immediately do the same thing to Rex (‘oooh pretty’), or if I want Anakin to look at Padawan Ahsoka and go ‘oh she’s little sister shaped’ and immediately try to adopt her (Between Anakin and Korkie rampant big brother instincts, the logical consequences of Satine and Obi Wan having a healthy sex life, and the Mandalorian adoption gene- Satine comes by it honestly, no is sure how Obi Wan managed to inherit it- the ruling family of Mandalore has something like 15 children; Anakin is still the oldest).
The negotiations start and the Duke and Duchess of Mandalore absolutely insist that Commander Cody be there through every step of it. It is in part because they are being little shits toward the representatives(all of whom had been vocal in the belief that the clones were not sentient) and making them flinch whenever one or the other goes ‘And what do you think, Cody, dear?’ It is also so the Duke and Duchess can flirt, heavily and obviously, with Cody the entire time he is there.
Cody is a bit baffled, since he is not usually the person drawing attention (both for dehumanizing  reasons and Cody is oblivious reasons), but does enjoy the flirting. He also returns the interest in Obi Wan and Satine. Three of the eight representatives began to ask his opinion on their own somewhere around day three.
At the two week mark, working in tandem, Obi Wan and Satine spring the trap that they had been weaving since the beginning (Cody had been warned what they were doing, and they made sure he was in agreement-which he would have been even if he had not been attracted to the other two, just for the benefits to his brothers). For two weeks they manipulated the representative, and in turn the senate, to get those representatives an unprecedented amount of power in treaty making (Since part of the treaty process, particularly with something like a senate involved, is ratifying the treaty in which the negotiators take it back to the people in charge to agree, there is a vote and all that). Basically anything these representatives agree to is binding, law within the republic, no restrictions on what they can agree to. No one in the senate realized that these eight now had that power, that they had given them that power. Now Obi Wan and Satine led the representative around by the nose until they were agreeing to all sorts of things. Things like the clones of Jango Fett, and clones in general, would be recognized by the sentience of their species (with which comes all kinds of rights and responsibilities on the part of the senate to clones). They also convince the representatives to seal the new treaty with Commander Cody's hand in marriage (incidentally making all of the Fett Clones Mandalorian citizens). It should be noted that the reason these representatives agreed to that was that they, personally, would receive the bulk of the bride price for Cody (the final price was actually higher than the republic bought him for in the first place, Cody was very proud).
In addition Mandalore does not quite join the republic, the agreement is to take control of the GAR to fight for the republic. It is worded in such a way that the Jedi are given a choice (thus they can send the children home), a number stay with their battalions but some are also able to be called back from the field. The GAR naval officers, the natborns, were to be replaced by Mandalorian officers. The few officers that wished to would need to sign up with the Mandalorians (there were a few that wanted to continue serving with the Clones). One of the concessions from the Duke and Duchess was that, though back pay would be handled by the senate, pay for the GAR going forward would come from Mandalore(the reason that the representatives agreed to let Mandalore take over the GAR, they felt quite proud of themselves). Without knowing it this also derails the Orders on the chips, since Palpatine is no longer in the chain of command, no matter what title he does or does not take.
Three months after the Chancellor’s office stopped being in the loop for the war, the CIS and the Republic sue for peace. Sitting across from each other on a neutral world but publicly broadcasted throughout the galaxy are Count Dooku and Chancellor Palpatine with Mand’alor Obi Wan Kenobi there to mediate. Dooku and Palpatine have too much on each other to reveal that the other is a secret Sith (not without the assurance of victory, which they do not have).  They are forced to play this as if they are both well meaning leaders trying to do what is best for their people, as neither has an army backing them any more (The GAR is now Mandalorian and they have destroyed the droid army). Obi Wan wants to get home to his spouses (Satine was pregnant again, while they would love any and all children equally, Obi Wan was hoping that the little one would be born with Cody’s features).
I cannot emphasize enough that Obi Wan does not know he is sitting with two Sith who, if they thought they could get away with it, would kill him and subjugate the galaxy. He honestly does think that the other two are doing their best (He knows as a leader himself that sometimes a leader will make unpopular or not understandable choices for the betterment of their people-because they had bad information or because of their own prejudices).
Two Sith are forced to negotiate a peace they do not want because not negotiating (or stalling) would be so obvious as to give them away and if they are exposed now the entire plan is for nothing.
They are not down and out yet, but it is not far off. Their plans are derailed, and the person who did it never even noticed.
And I think that is the ending both of them truly deserve.

Star Wars OCs 💫
Astra Jade Cordage 🏹
Tumblr media
— Name: Commander Astra Jade
Age: 42
Relationship Status: Single (Taken later on by her Clone husband Captain Rex <3)
Planet Of Origin: Naboo but now lives on Coruscant
Specific Species: Human
Occupation: Pilot
- Works for the Jedi Knights and plenty of otherwise leaders in the outer rim of the space centers.
- Pilot, Commander Jade. She is always flying Jedi, Royals, Council members, Prisoners and etc to places. Astra tends to be on the field for work and or behind a panel on a ship calling orders if she’s told to stay behind. But she’ll always find a way to make her mark!
- Friends with Obi Wan Kenobi since they were younger, kinda like a little sister to Obi Wan. Partners in crime in a way!
- Anakin’s friend and mother figure to him. She is also Padmé good friend and works for her on occasions.
- Astra has had a crush on her friend Obi Wan Kenobi for a few years and I mean who wouldn’t??? I mean, hello?! The man is gorgeous and a very skilled Jedi! However it wasn’t in the cards and Astra believed attachment should be allowed for everyone. She agreed with Master Qui Gon’s idea on attachment very much that she figured out Anakin and Padmé were in love, and she quietly encouraged it. She smirked always seeing them smiling at one another.
- The female pilot moved up in ranks and explored her placement in the center of the Coruscant. One day she was told about the clones themselves and met some of them, they were kind, smart and determined. Two caught her eyes, Rex and Cody. Yes they were similar in factual statements and facial expressions but different in mindset. Cody reminded Astra of Obi Wan in a way a few ways while Rex reminded her of Anakin.
- She fell in love with Captain Rex after they saved each other’s lives and had to go undercover on a mission as spouses to return a few stolen items. Little did they know they would become spouses in real life, breaking a few rules and falling for one another. There are many ideas she loved about her husband, Captain Rex from his sass to his humorous way of telling a story and his loyalty to his crew. But one of the things she loves most of all is that he can be a bit of a bad liar, the type of under circumstances of course.

Sena Morgana 🫐
Tumblr media
Full Name: Kira Sena Morgana
Age: 34
Planet Of Origin: Alderaan
Specific Species: Human
Occupation: Ex-Jedi
Relationship Status: Single
- Kira was part of the Jedi for a while. She was gifted with being Force-sensitive, so it was given that she joined in on the world of it all.
- She was skilled.
- Partaking in adventures, teaming up with Ahsoka, Anakin, Obi Wan, Astra and the rest of the gang. It was a rather large group of people.
- She adored it. A lot. The people she met, the ones she saved and relationships she made across the galaxy. Being a rather gentle soul to many.
- Until she was met with the truth of the Jedi. They only carried about themselves and who they can save, not how they can save someone. Love wasn't ever the card for their line of work either, and it hurts
- It started with problems they had with Anakin and Ahsoka teaching abilities, with her having to defend both of there friends. It was a fought battle, she hated.
- Secondly was during a fight on Coruscant, having almost lost Astra in battle and the a lot of other Jedi didn't bat an eye.
- Thankfully she was alright!
- And lastly, when she met a certain rebel on Mandalore, he was an solider in protection of Duchess Satine Kryze. It was handsome, loyal and kind. Her heart fluttered, having not understood what that feeling once was until she realized it was..lust.
- One could say it was love she felt. But Jedi weren't allowed to love, they were never given that chance to do so. The part of made it harder to resist that feeling was, that he liked her too.
- Sadly, he died trying to save The Duchness..
- Sena was tired of fighting, feeling at odds with other people where she almost lost friends and never getting a break to go home. Just be herself..
- So that became to final thing, Sena was willing to take chance and make a change to put down Jedi rode in exchange for simpler set of clothes.
- In result, Sena made a deal with Sentor Organa a friend of her, to work with him and stay with leads. Still being near her friends and help out when needed. To her surprised, he quickly accepted to idea, having missed her and wanting her back home on their planet.

Mand’alor Kenobi (Duke Kryze)
Obi-Wan leaves the Jedi, marries Satine, gets widowed and ends up as Duke Kryze.
Two alternative endings:
1) Jango Fett resurfaces and returns to Mandalore; or
2) After the war, Cody and his brothers receive an offer for repatriation from the Duke.
Obi-Wan leaves the order for Satine—and for Mandalore, ravaged by a civil war that never truly stops.
During his mission to Mandalore, Obi-Wan not only keeps Satine alive but is invaluable in consolidating her power. However, the hostilities never truly cease, the political situation is a powder keg, and at the conclusion of the Jedis’ mission, Satine sees how it’s Obi-Wan who’s holding the tenuous peace together. She asks him to stay and he leaves the order—not only for Satine, but for Mandalore and her people whom he feels the conclusion of their mission leaves hanging.
In the following months, everybody is running ragged trying to keep Mandalore together. Having already proved his worth as a negotiator/mediator, Obi-Wan quickly rises to a lynchpin position in the new government. Despite his background as a Jedi, his actions during the clan wars have earned him the respect of the more traditional warrior clans and he’s seen as a more moderate option to Satine’s extremism. Tl;dr: instead of treating Obi-Wan as arm candy, Satine puts him to work and inadvertently puts a lot of political power in his hands. What can you say? Sizeable and/or politically influential fraction of Mandalore’s population/clans likes Obi-Wan better than Satine—or perhaps, finds Satine more palatable with a warrior partner.
To prevent her fragile and fractious government from splintering further (and to put an end to the talk about republic agents), Satine and Obi-Wan decide to make their relationship official and marry. Half of it is because they truly care for each other, but half of it is to consolidate the political power and marry the separate factions within their government together. They have irreconcilable differences of opinion when it comes to politics, but they both want what’s best for the people and that’s a unified leadership that’s not fighting with itself. So they have screaming matches in private, but pull together in public.
Stuff happens, Death Watch kills Satine (with or without the involvement of the Sith)—and New Mandalorians/Sundari/Mandalore unites behind the widowed Duke Kryze.
SO: That’s either a plot or a setup for the erstwhile Mand’alor Vhett to resurface, with or without an army of clones, a galactic war, the return of the Sith, and perhaps a political marriage that may finally unite Mandalore.
Perhaps:
- Obi-Wan grieves his wife, he truly does. But in the aftermath, he hardly has the time. And in retrospect, he has to wonder if half of the reason why achieving compromise always seemed like an uphill battle wasn’t because he spent half of his time fighting Satine and trying to moderate her extremism to something more palatable to the clans.
- In the aftermath, Obi-Wan may or may not finally succeed in putting down the Kyr’tsad and winning the Darksaber, which may or may not go a long way in convincing the remaining traditionalist and Kyr’tsad clans to get in line.
- Any Sith coming to take a piece of Mandalore or its Duke may find they’ve bitten off more than they can chew.
- Korkie Kryze may or may not be Satine and Obi-Wan’s son. Or maybe he is Satine’s baby nephew—Obi-Wan and Satine may still end up adopting him, depending on who else is left.
- Bo-Katan Kryze may or may not survive Kyr’tsad, but regardless, a Death Watch lieutenant is not going to be accepted by the people. She may get a seat in Obi-Wan’s council to placate Kyr’tsad loyalists, but she has no shot at getting the rule. Tbh, Obi-Wan would absolutely be the type to adopt his late wife’s feral terrorist little sister.
- Obi-Wan ends up adopting a full squad of feral murder children, in a true Mandalorian fashion.
- Jinn may or may not be alive; Anakin may or may not be his apprentice or have taken refuge on Naboo after his death; Obi-Wan may or may not be carrying a grudge towards the Sith for killing the man who raised him. And then killed his wife.
- The idea of marriage is probably actually first put forward by the clans who dislike Satine but find Obi-Wan acceptable. That would be a compromise solution: they’d accept Satine’s rule, but with the moderating influence of Obi-Wan as her husband.
- Actually, wasn’t “Ben” a nickname that Obi-Wan was originally given by Satine? He might then go by “Ben Kryze” after his marriage.
- Mand’alor is the sole ruler → before and during the Clan Wars, Obi-Wan is titled the duke. After he’s unified Mandalore under one sole government, he’s the Mand’alor.
- Timeline fuckery: instead of 15, Obi-Wan and Satine are ~20, early 20s. Young, but not teenagers. Satine may be a few years older.
- Jango may think he’s coming to Mandalore to oust the hu’tuun Duchess’s Jetii widow, only to find said widow to be a) the most mandokarla verd he has ever met, and b) more widely supported than he himself ever was. There’s no ousting the Duke now and if Jango were to kill him, he would only succeed in making him a martyr and uniting Mandalore further in avenging him. Jango… deals with these revelations. Well—he tries.
ALTERNATIVELY: After the war, Marshal Commander Cody and his brothers receive an unexpected offer of repatriation from Duke Kryze of Mandalore, who was tragically widowed during the war.
And perhaps:
- The offer may or may not be unexpected: if the Sith decided to go after Mandalore, there’s no saying what the Mandalorians might have discovered and whether their Mand’alor might have taken a proactive approach to the threat.
- The second dark sabre wielding Jedi Mand’alor might be something of stuff of legends—or nightmares—in the republic space/among the clones.
- Jango Fett might not have wanted the clones, but apparently this Duke Kryze does. If he is to be believed, Fett might have been the vode’s dar’buir, but according to Mandalorian law, there is no such thing as a dar’ad. Whether Jango Fett ever called them his sons or not, the mere fact of consciously partaking in their creation is enough to make them recognised as such in Mandalorian space.
- And so, here in Cody’s hands is an offer of citizenship for all of his vode; colourful pamphlets about various welfare and retraining programs; and apparently, a seat in the Duke’s council for the aliit’alor Vhett.
- Cody is torn between crying from relief (an end to the indeterminate arguments in the senate between citizenship and decommissioning?) and justified suspicion (a no-strings offer of home and sentient rights for all of his brothers? Too good to be true).
- Mandalore’s famous warriors have been decimated first in the clan wars and then in the galaxy wide conflict, which has left Mandalore in a more precarious position than may outwardly seem. The offer is not purely altruistic (Mandalore would be gaining an army of millions), even if Obi-Wan does also see it as justice. To Cody who’s been waiting for the other shoe to drop, this feels like relief. This, he can understand. What’s honestly more confusing is the Duke rushing to explain that acting in defence of Mandalore is something that’s expected from every citizen, not just the vode. Moreover, if someone can not or chooses not to fight, they are not forced to do so, simply expected to do their part in another way.
- And if the clones want to ply their trade as mercenaries? Well, it’s a time honoured profession on Mandalore—of course they may. As it happens, in the aftermath of a galactic war, there’s no end of work for hired guns. This may… upset the struggling republic. Any vode that decide to seek work in republic space keep their buckets tightly on as they may or may not be recognised as sentient, still—and other Mandalorians do so in support. Not all of them may *like* the clones, but treating other mandalorians as lost property? Not cool.
- Culturally, I would absolutely see Mandalorians as the sort of a culture that would not only think that their children are their future, but also that their people are their strength. The republic might see millions of vode as mouths to feed and bodies to house. But Mandalore? They see millions of trained warriors the republic doesn’t seem to want anymore and think “the greatest prize in the galaxy, up for grabs”.
- If Obi-Wan went on the offensive, he could declare that the vode are citizens of Mandalore by birth and the republic better stop treating Mandalorian warriors as expendable slaves or else. He can’t, of course. But it doesn’t stop him from wanting to.
- If Jango Fett dies as in canon, Obi-Wan’s family of adorable murder children might or might not include Boba. If the kids don’t kill each other, Obi-Wan will go down in history as Mand’alor the Unifier. This sort of adopting the offspring of your slain enemies is not ethically unproblematic btw, but on the other hand, I could see how the practice might fit in the Mandalorian culture.
About politics & war:
- Point of contention: Satine wants to exile the traditionalists to Concordia, there to fight each other to extinction in a pointless battle for dominance (canon, what the fuck?). Obi-Wan wants to unite Manda’yaim, not divide it further. This point alone, if he manages it, would win him points over Satine. So: instead of all traditionalists exiled, Obi-Wan manages to wrangle a shaky alliance of New Mandalorians and moderate traditionalists. Not necessarily the same bunch as Haat Mando’ade though there might be overlap.
- Satine, meanwhile, would be happy to import agricultural products from Concordia to the biodomes of Sundari. That’s a mess from an economic and food security standpoint. Again I ask: canon, what the fuck? You exile the unwanted parts of your population and then rely on them for food production? That’s not actually a realistic plot point, maybe scrap it and write something that provides actual political tension that doesn’t make caricatures of any sides/characters.
- Actually, the New Mandalorian policies in the preceding years are probably a large influence in the development of the extremism of Kyr’tsad. (Canon—wtf, I might be tempted to terrorism if my government unilaterally exiled large fractions of the population?)
- During the clone wars, Kyr’tsad still allies with Dooku and the Sith. The civil war, which had been on a slow simmer, boils over again. In the fighting, Satine is assassinated. Obi-Wan is not only the best but practically the only option to succeed her and keep the precarious alliance of New Mandalorians and moderate traditionalists together.
- It’s a long and a bloody fight against enemies both at home and in the shadows; fought with guns, with diplomacy, with fixing the deep divides in their society, and hunting the shadows fuelling the flames. Obi-Wan proves himself the same military genius and negotiator as he did in canon. He’s decisive, ruthless and compassionate.
- And eventually, he manages to defeat the leader of Kyr’tsad in single combat, wrangle the warring clans to the negotiation table, hunt the Sith, and unite Mandalore. And that’s how the Mandalorian civil wars and the Clone Wars tie together at the end there, and how Obi-Wan emerges from those wars: with united but weakened Mandalore, a dead wife, and a couple of orphaned foundlings. Victorious, but grieving. The erin on his armour long since painted over with black and gold (which he has earned many times over now, avenging his wife and his people). While the rest of the galaxy is reeling from the aftermath of the war, the republic shaken to its foundations, the separatists defeated but but still seceding, the weakened republic unable to hold onto CIS territories.
- This is the man Marshal Commander Cody meets. This Mand’alor, who seemed to have emerged from the funeral pyre of his wife in the image of the legends of old, reforging the Mandalorian empire anew. But still: just a man, victorious but grieving; with a core of beskar, but a heart so full of light it makes Cody’s teeth ache. Cody: Himself one expendable clone among millions, defying his fate and rising to lead armies to victory or ruin. And yet, a man fresh out of a war that has decimated his brothers and broken his faith in the galaxy.

playing around with an incorrect quote generator and came up with some gems
Ahsoka: Why are you late? Obi-Wan: A technical error occurred, causing an unexpectedly long bout of unconsciousness. Ahsoka: Overslept? Obi-Wan: Overslept.
Ahsoka: I am the most responsible person in the group. Obi-Wan: …You just set the kitchen on fire. Ahsoka: Yes, and I take full responsibility for that.
Obi-Wan: Ahsoka, why are you crying? Ahsoka: This book is so sad!! Obi-Wan, picking it up: But this is my diary-
Crosshair: What, in the name of sanity, have you got on your head? Tech: It's a fez, I wear a fez now. Fezzes are cool. Wrecker: *snatches the fez, throws it in the air* Crosshair: *shoots it*
Tech: Do we have any orange juice left? Crosshair: *pours the remaining juice into his cup* Crosshair: Sorry, we’re all out.
Crosshair: There’s no “I” in team, but there is one in pizza. Tech: So, you’re not going to share? Crosshair: I’m not going to share.
Omega: We’re kind of missing something guys. Echo: Cohesion? Crosshair: Teamwork? Tech: A general sense of what we’re doing? Hunter: And Wrecker is not here. Echo: Oh, and that, yeah.
Hunter: This is a judgement free zone. *Pulls out a knife the size of his forearm* Hunter: And I mean it.
Echo: Are you mad? Hunter: No. Echo: So sharpening your knives at 3 in the morning is just a hobby?
Fox: You are the love of my life and I would do anything within reason to make you happy. Riyo: I would be happy if you ate, stayed hydrated and got a reasonable amount of sleep. Fox: I said within reason, Riyo. How about I murder that guy? Riyo: So murder is in reason but proper self care isn't? Fox: Well, duh. What kind of question is that?
Fox: Hey, random question, what are your favorite flowers? Riyo: Peonies, why? Fox: Riyo: Were you going to get me flowers? Fox: Riyo: Fox: ᶦᵗ’ˢ ᵃ ᵖᵒˢˢᶦᵇᶦˡᶦᵗʸ
Fox: Riyo and I are no longer dating. Riyo: Fox, that’s a horrible way of telling people we’re married.
Satine : I want to kiss you. Obi-Wan, not paying attention: What? Satine : I said if you die, I wont miss you.
Satine : I’ve been dropping them the most insanely obvious hints for like a year now. No response. Obi-Wan: Wow. They sound stupid. Satine : But they’re not. They’re really smart actually. Just dense. Obi-Wan: Maybe you need to be more obvious? Like, I don’t know… “Hey! I love you!” Satine : I guess you’re right. Hey Obi-Wan, I love you. Obi-Wan: See! Just say that! Satine : Obi-Wan: If that flies over their head then, sorry Satine , but they're too dumb for you. Satine : Obi-Wan.
Satine : I think I'm falling for you. Obi-Wan: Then get up.
Cody : You have an impressive pain tolerance. Obi-Wan: Thanks, it's the trauma.
Cody , holding an unconscious Obi-Wan: Oh no. Please don’t be dead.
Obi-Wan: You know what? Let’s give it a go. What’s the worst that could happen? Cody : Humiliation, embarrassment, fire, explosions, collisions, tears, nudity and death.
Obi-Wan: Turns on the kitchen light Cody : Sitting at the table, eating bread Obi-Wan: It’s four in the morning. Cody : Turn the light back off.
Rex: Are you alright? Ahsoka: Short answer or long answer? Rex: Short? Ahsoka: No. Rex: Long? Ahsoka: Nooooooo.
Rex: I found a note in one of my old word .docs that said Note to self: Get revenge on Ahsoka. Rex: Except I couldn't remember what I was supposed to get revenge for. Rex: But I trusted my own judgment, so I went with it. Ahsoka: Hmm… I don't know what you were supposed to get revenge for, either. Rex: I can only assume you got what was coming to you. Not 100 percent sure, though. Ahsoka: Well, whatever I did, I guess I deserved it. Rex: Let that possibly be a lesson to you.
Rex: My goal is not to be the best, but to inspire someone enough to one day surpass me. Ahsoka: YOU CAN'T JUST SAY THAT EVERY TIME YOU BEAT ME AT CONNECT FOUR!
Rex: I'm going to ask you to be respectful. Ahsoka: I will politely decline.

I’ve officially lost my will to live so here is an in-depth analysis on Star Wars sexuality’s and by “in-depth” I mean this is longer than I originally expected.
To be clear, most of these(minus a few) are headcanons. I’d love to hear your own headcanons in a CALM and RESPECTFUL manner lol. Headcanons are personal opinions and these are mine but again, I’d love to hear yours. I’m open to updating this list.
Obi-Wan: Obi actually is a semi-confirmed queer character. His bisexuality was briefly hinted towards and at the end of the day it very easily could be written off but it’s definitely more confirmation than anyone expected. Again, headcanons are just that. HEADcanons. They are personal ideas therefore are not canon though with his queerness being hinted towards it’s easy to simply accept it but it’s also easy to write it off. Most ppl choose for it to be 100% canon since again, it’s open to interpretation. I am one of these ppl lol. He’s also mentioned to possibly be asexual and I’m semi on board with this. Asexuality is a spectrum but in my head Obi-Wan is either all in or all out(that’s what she said) and as an asexual person I’m going to try and separate myself from him as best as I can. I’m bi, enby and ace but my asexuality is something I don’t talk about often so I won’t go in depth on it but note that my views are way different than other aces but they also could be the same. Huge spectrum. So here are some ideas, not really married to any:
-He’s just. A wh0re. Completely
-Slut in theory but not in practice
-Gives off wh0re energy but is just ace
Idk he canonically flirts with all his enemies which could be seen as slut in theory but idk I can’t imagine him being completely ace at the very least. Positively demisexual? But VERY much so, probably has only been w Satine *cough*Cody*cough* but that’s it. Idk this one I don’t rlly have a set idea on
JUST REALIZED I WENT OFF OH OBES LMAO SO UHHH SPEEDRUN
Ashoka: baby gay. Anakin has one of those “I’m proud of my lesbian sister” shirts. Currently trying to find a “I’m disappointed that my brother can’t hide his forbidden romance plot line” shirt(also getting one for Obi)
Anakin: straight but with Padmé he takes it up the as-
Also he’s been with exactly no one else BUT Padmé I’m sorry he’s a simp
Padmé: zero evidence but she’s bi (bi wife energy plays in the background)also unrelated but a total girl failure every girl failure needs her boy failure
Maul: unlike Padmé I’ve got SO much evidence but also not rlly. In headcanon town I like to think he’s got a thing for Obi but in a canon mindset that’s impossible. Unfortunately my man would kill Obi if he got the chance which he has and just failed but fanfiction exists for a reason❤️❤️❤️
Luke: not a prequel character but I just had to add him bros a TWINK
Cody: Also out of nowhere but I mentioned my love for Codywan up there so ummmmmmmmmm gay

Obi wan is a a poor guy who falls for strong, fiery people like Satine and Cody.
Satine is his first love, his "first marriage". Satine, being strong and dutiful but at the same time a bit more romantic, unlocked emotionally repressed and anxious Obi wan.He never got over her death. He not only loved her, but respected her as a person a great deal. His love for her had the warmth and the passion of youth as well.
Cody, in my scenario, is his "second marriage". It's a long lasting relationship, unlike the first one, that matures with age and time. Cody may not be a sweet talker, flirty or gift giving, but he gives Obi wan exactly what he needs other than love: a loyal partner, who is also brother in arms, stability, practicality, a shoulder to cry on, patience ( keep in mind that Obi wan has been dealing with post traumatic stress disorder since the events on Mustafar ), loyalty ( even when he wrongs Obi wan, he always comes back ).
Obi wan would canonically give up the order for his first love Satine, prefer dying to finding out Anakin turned dark.
His lightsaber, his *life*. The" life" he thought of turning to the dark side when Satine died ( his vision of killing everyone involved in it ), the one which got literally buried along with Anakin's one ( their lightsabers ).
But with Cody, he could live. Cody first knew him as what Obi wan always has been: a Jedi. And he not only not wished him to be something else ( like Anakin often did ) but it was actually possible for them to be life partners ( unlike Satine who died ), exactly as they were.
For Obi wan is always forgiving ( Cody's betrayed him, not wholeheartedly but still ) and Cody is a practical man that can make a guy like Obi wan feel safe, calm and happy.
And Cody never doubts him. Only one day he felt low, when something happened and he got reminded that Obi wans love for Satine and Anakin ( different types of love actually) was unmatched. That night he wondered what it would be like if Obi wan loved him at least close enough. Till Obi wan came back and announced to him something like, he would stay at this said awful place permanently if needed because Cody had duties there.
Cody's heart warmed up enough to never ever question Obi wans love again.

obi-wan kenobi- better man
summary: you watch as obi-wan has moved on from you but you can't help but still have feelings for him.
obi-wan x gn!reader
warnings: none
word count: 705
....
You tried not to stare.
You really tried for your sanity but you couldn’t help it, your eyes stayed glued to them.
You watched as your fellow Jedi, and former partner, Obi-Wan Kenobi hooked a finger under Duchess Satine’s chin and pressed a loving kiss to her cheek while she closed her eyes and smiled.
Your heart clenched at the sweet gesture.
You remembered a time when he had acted that way with you.
You watched the way the duchess scrunched up her nose with delight and laid her head against his chest.
It was so unfair.
You tried so hard to hate him after he had told you that one September night that he needed to focus on being a Jedi Master and helping to train Anakin instead of being with you but you just couldn’t
You had initially believed him when he said he wanted to focus on work. But you knew that wasn’t the case when you saw him a few weeks later, trailing after Satine like a lovesick puppy with his cheeks scarlet.
You remembered when he used to look at you like you were the most beautiful thing in all of existence.
The way his blue eyes lit up and sparkled every time you walked in a room.
Now you watched as he looked at Satine that way.
You tried so hard to hate her but you just couldn’t.
Satine was so kind to you, always greeting you with a smile when you came to her planet, and treating you with respect. You had always admired the way she ruled Mandalore with such grace and poise.
And you knew that if she had known that you were previously with Obi-Wan then she would’ve stayed far away from you because that was the type of person she was. But Obi-Wan had made it clear that the two of you would be secret so you honored his wishes.
Your hands shook as you averted your eyes from the happy couple.
Sometimes in the middle of the night, you could still feel him, your body would tingle from the ghost of his fingers on your waist, his lips on yours.
“I’ve never loved somebody as much as I love you,” Obi-Wan’s voice snapped you out of your clouded mind as you felt your heart shatter at his words.
Oh.
He had never told you that before.
He had never even bothered to tell you that he loved you.
That day he ended your relationship you had told him you loved him and you’d never forget the horrified expression on his face, his jaw slack as he mumbled “I’m sorry,” and then left you alone, heartbroken, and full of tears.
And still, after all of that, you still loved and missed him.
You stood up abruptly, wiping a stray tear that had slipped down your cheek from the memory.
Your heart pounded in your chest as you started walking away at a fast pace.
You needed to get off Mandalore and bring more distance between yourself and Obi-Wan.
“Y/N?” the voice of Obi-Wan filled the throne room.
You shook off his voice and continued walking to the ship that you had gone on with Obi-Wan.
Your steps became quicker as you peeked your eyes and saw that both Obi-Wan and Satine were following you, concern evident in their eyes.
Hot angry tears streamed down your face as you approached your ship.
Commander Cody sat at the edge of the ship with his helmet off as he slightly dozed off.
“Let’s go,” your voice was angry as you awoke him with a jolt.
You didn’t mean to be rude but your emotion was taking over your entire body.
“But General Kenobi-”
“I don’t care, Commander, let's just go,” your voice cracked.
The commander took one look at your puffy eyes and trembling lips and nodded before immediately rushing over to the cockpit and urging the ship to life.
Once the ship started moving in the air, Obi-Wan and Satine appeared on the launchpad looking up at you.
You stared down at him and slowly shook your head at him before sitting down.
It never would have happened if he was just a better man.

5 6 7 10 for Star Wars violence 👀
OKAY TIME FOR THE VIOLENCE (I don't know how actually violent these opinions are but pretend I am Very Vicious)
5. Worst blorboficiation?
sdfsdifj REGRETTABLY... OBI-WAN.... I love the man but fandom characterizations definitely show some Popular Guy Character Syndrome where it's all about how sad and tormented he is and while I respect that as a lover of tormented men, it is certainly an experience when you're like, reading a CodyWan fic and Cody is comforting Obi-Wan through his tragic past like he's never gone through anything difficult in his life. Also some of Obi-Wan's fun edges are sanded off, he's more generically sassy but considerate of others feelings and kind, etc, and like. He's not UNkind. But this is a man that faked his death and did not tell his emotionally unstable best friend like that was going to do anything but drive Anakin absolutely batshit insane. He watched like ten clones in a row die without a reaction and then the instant a Jedi died they all had to stop for a funeral. He tried to get Luke to kill Vader WITHOUT telling him who he was. He's kind of an idiot and can be kind of an asshole. Let him hurt people's feelings! Let him be socially inept! He is a dipshit not a harmless weep blob!
(This ties in with my desire to see CodyWan fic where they straight up get in a fight but is not ENTIRELY connected to that)
6. Opinion on canon and/or fanon use of the secret child trope? Discuss.
It works for Luke and Leia and I think it should have stayed at that. I'm not a big fan of the Palpatine reveal for Rey but I didn't want her to be a Skywalker either, sometimes you want a main that is Just Some Guy, doesn't need to be a secret child of anyone. In fanon I just REALLY do not like it, partially because it's plugging in a blood relation where it doesn't need to be. The other part is that I have mostly seen it for Obi-Wan and Satine with that Korkie kid and with how utterly repressed those two are at each other I refuse to believe they ever successfully fucked.
7. What is the weakest piece of canon writing?
It feels like cheating to say the sequel trilogy mostly because I never finished it so a thing that I definitely finished and loved but makes no sense - AOC is not the strongest movie but ROTS was like, fully just a series of cool scenes stitched together to approximate a movie. And don't get me wrong, I adore the prequels. But the only one that I think succeeds as a Movie is TPM. ANAKIN'S FALL ESPECIALLY IS NONSENSICAL AS SHIT. Like the underlying motivations are there but they were not pieced into anything resembling a coherent narrative. You have a start point, an end point, and everything in between just kind of jumps around with I think the weakest point being the Tusken Massacre - it's treated more like a sign of Anakin's potential darkness than anything when like. That's a whole village. He killed a whole village and it never comes up again! Lucas apparently didn't consider it that big a deal!
It's to a point where I actually think the massacre can't be addressed from a fully in universe perspective, because there's no actual way to twist it around so that it makes sense for that not to be enough to Make Anakin Fall without breaking the already very loose rules of the universe. Most other Star Wars points I can figure out some kind of justification for how it works in world, but to explain how Anakin wouldn't fall here you just have to kind of confront that Lucas is both not a very good writer and also approached the Tuskens with an incredibly racist viewpoint given that he doesn't appear to see their deaths as fully Counting, unlike the Jedi younglings in ROTS. It's a plot choice that, if treated with the full weight it would narratively deserve, completely unravels the entire rest of the series, the only way to make the storyline of everything else WORK is to take it out or change it so much as to be an entirely different scenario, and I can't think of any other things that fuck it up THAT bad.
10. What’s a ship you've unwillingly come around to?
I think 'unwillingly' is overstating it (but then I rarely DISLIKE a ship, so there's usually not much Unwillingly about it) but I thought Tech/Phee was cute at most until everyone started being Like That about them. Now I want them to kiss and get married onscreen. I hope that she hits that every night. Phee deserves whatever she wants.
Also Anakin/Padme probably counts because I did not actually go into the clone wars watch WANTING to love Anakin but Whoops. WHOOPS. So that meant I got An Affection for the two of them in all their messy stupid as shit glory.

Sims 4 CC Update: Obi-wan's Mando Armor
AU where Satine survives because Cody noticed Obi-wan struggling for twenty minutes trying to get the Twilight to take off and managed to get aboard
Tumblr media
'General, I just want to talk-'
Tumblr media
'Can I ask exactly what you think you're doing here, Sir?'
'Death Watch has imprisoned the Duchess and staged a coup. You need not have followed me, Commander. I assure you, I am more than perfectly suited for this mission. As you can see, with this disguise, I'm invisible.'
Tumblr media
'Permission to speak freely, Sir?'
'Of course, Cody. You know you can drop the ranks, my dear. It's just the two of us.'
Tumblr media
'Alright. To put it mildly, your infiltration skills are dismal at best.
It took me less than two minutes to catch up to you after giving you a head start, you're hiding behind a dangerously short packing crate, and aren't even wearing a kriffing helmet on a planet full of blond people.'
'I do believe the Duchess has a red-headed sister-'
'Uh-huh. I know this is an unsanctioned mission. You swore you'd tell us if the council asked you to take part in another Hardeen fiasco.'
'Well yes, the Senate won't allow us to intervene. It's an internal matter, but I sense something much more nefarious than a simple coup at play here. There's a dark presence on this planet, something familiar.'
Tumblr media
'Dooku?'
'No...I can't quite recognize it...but if we break Satine out of prison and put her where she belongs-'
'So, you plan to remove the Duchess from the security of her cell with an unknown darksider on planet and no backup.'
'Well-'
'Right. Well the good news is that a High Jedi General recently went missing in neutral space, so we now have clearance to invade this planet.'
'What- who?'
Tumblr media
'Take one guess, Sir.'
'Put me- CODY! This was NOT the plan- where did you even find that helmet-'
'It was always the plan, Sir. You can have Skywalker and Tano brief you when they arrive with our respective battalions.'
Tumblr media
'They can't just-'
'Show up with an army to save one Jedi?'
'I- force, Mace will have my head. Very well. You can put me down Cody.'
'No.'
Tumblr media
This was definitely the vibe when Obi-wan came back and had to tell Anakin he crashed his ship after not even inviting him along and I'll die on this hill.
Tumblr media
Obi-wan's armor is up now for my early access patrons, and it will be public on March 17, 2023.

Note: If I were to start writing more than one fic, then I would need to stretch the updates for The Great War to once a month instead of once every two weeks, although I would keep updating it.
If it matters at all, Arcane Paths is the fic I could probably finish the fastest out of these 5 and either When Stars Collide or A Lesson in Murder Mystery would take the longest.
A Lesson in Murder Mystery
Cody is the new Engineering professor at the University of Coruscant and Obi-Wan is the long-standing English professor. When Obi-Wan is attacked one night, they both get pulled into a conspiracy surrounding the death of the late Dean and the deaths of several others connected to the University. The two have to work together to solve the mystery before whoever's after Obi-Wan finally succeeds in their mission.
When Stars Collide
After many years of war and many more years of tension, the Jedi and Mandalore finally decide to make peace. To guarantee that the still-fresh peace treaty will not be broken, however, each side must offer up one member of their respective groups to be married to each other. Manda'lor Jango Fett offers his heir, Cody Fett. The Council offers Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Some tensions cannot simply be put to rest by treaties, however, and both sides must learn to understand each other--or risk losing to an even greater enemy that threatens both sides.
Welcome to the Temple
Scientist Cody Fett and his brothers move to a small town in the middle of nowhere in order to investigate the weird shit that seems to always be going on there. A town the locals simply refer to as the "Temple." Things get a little more complicated for him when he starts dating the town's odd radio host, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and one of his brothers witnesses something and becomes a target of SithCorp.
A Sith's Sense of Humor
A very pissy and recently deceased Count Dooku decides that things just aren't entertaining enough in his reality, and the Son agrees. So, to stir the pot a little, they decide to send some of the Jedi into another reality to see what happens. There's only one problem... The spell hits all of their commanders instead.
Arcane Paths
A year prior, Magician Obi-Wan Kenobi woke up in a strange room next to a strange man with no memory to speak of. Now, he works side by side with the man--Cody Fett--in their small shop in the city and, although Cody seems to keep many secrets, things are nice...at least until Cody leaves and Obi-Wan is visited by two people. The Duchess Satine Kryze, who asks him to solve a mystery for her, and murderer Anakin Skywalker, who seems to be looking for Cody--or, at least, something Cody has.
During the investigation, however, Cody reappears and it starts to seem like the secrets he's keeping are connected to Obi-Wan's investigation...and the memories that he can't seem to recall.

2,5,6,8 for codywan! 💛💛
sorry this is so late!! the ask list post is here!! (answering this backwards because. i want to)
8. what’s one way their personalities compliment each other?
i am not being dramatic when i say i do believe they compliment each other in almost every single way. they are always shown to be entirely in sync on the battlefield- or saving each other’s asses- and it’s for a reason!! they are both very goal oriented, smart, cool and collected people, but they both manage to be very kind and caring at the same time. and while they’re both similar, they aren’t exactly the same- where Obi-Wan prefers the comfort of negotiation, Cody prefers the heat of a firefight. when Obi-Wan gets distracted, Cody is there to get him on track. when Cody gets in trouble, Obi-Wan is there to save him. they are a constant perfect balance for each other, and they’re both quick to adapt to the other. this is why they work so, so well together; they understand how the other works on a deeper level than almost anyone else. they’re also relatively straight laced, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have their fun. Cody and Obi-Wan both love their little games and teasing and banter. Cody feels deeply comfortable around Obi-Wan, to the point of calling him ‘boss’ rather than ‘sir’ in the RotS novel. they are comrades in arms, and the love of each other’s life, and they compliment each other entirely perfectly.
6. when did they realize they love each other?
oh, this is a fun one. they both found the other hot right off the bat, but i think it took them awhile to get their romantic feelings sorted out. i’m a firm believer in ‘Obi-Wan fell first’, so i think he’d also realize he loves Cody first. he has more experience in this field, and would probably recognize some of his feelings from when he was with Satine. even with that, Obi-Wan is a repressed idiot at heart, so it wouldn’t be a super easy thing for him to come to terms with. it’d probably be something he kind of realizes, panics over, then goes and meditates to fully comprehend. he’d be super dramatic about it for awhile, but some of those ‘after the war’ talks they have definitely help his poor self confidence. it’d be a lot slower for Cody. his first priority will 100% be protecting his brothers, and the process to being able to letting himself have something (aka, a relationship with Obi-Wan) will be a long one. as soon as he realizes Obi-Wan is actually a good person that does care about his brothers, he’ll start feeling the deep respect that’s a staple of their relationship, and i think the love would start to develop from there. he probably realizes that he actually loves Obi-Wan when his thoughts about the man stop depending so much on his physical beauty and more on his personality and the fact that Cody doesn’t want to ever let him go. even after the war ends, he wants to wake up with Obi-Wan and spend his days with the man, and i think that’d be how he realizes. they both are absolutely devoted to each other, and they’d end up being acutely aware of each other’s feelings and the fact that they can’t do anything about it until after the war.
5. what is their love language?
both Obi-Wan and Cody are a combination of a few, but acts of service are absolutely the way they display their love in the heat of battle. the way they constantly save each other, always having the other’s back, ect, is all 100% acts of service. quality time is also one they really enjoy- hanging out together while they finish paperwork, meditating together, eating meals, all of that. there aren’t many ways they’re afforded to be able to show their love for each other when on the front lines, but these two would make frequent appearances imo. i think physical touch would also be one for them, but it wouldn’t be as common as other love languages. i’m absolutely insane over keldabe kisses for Mandalorians, and i 100 percent believe Cody would love giving and receiving them to/from Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan hasn’t been given much physical affection in his life, so he’d treasure this from Cody. it would make him feel so, so loved, and i know Cody would feel the same every time Obi-Wan lays a gentle hand on his shoulder or back as they grow closer to each other. i’m also very guilty of loving Mandalorian gift giving culture for courting, so i think they’d try and give each other little trinkets (mostly flowers or rocks from different planets they campaign on) whenever possible!!!
2. sleep habits
i think both Obi-Wan and Cody have really strange sleep schedule during the war, as expected (they sleep where they can when they can) but i definitely think they sleep better with the other around. they are absolutely bunking down together when they can, and i think the only thing they'd have to get adjusted to are the inevitable nightmares / visions. Cody is one of the most grounding and caring people in the galaxy, but he probably had NO idea what to do when Obi-Wan had his first nightmare-vision around him. he comes to realize that simply being around helps Obi-Wan, and depending on where they are, starts doing little things like bringing him water and rubbing his back to help. i don’t think Obi-Wan would like to talk about his dreams extensively, and i know Cody would respect that. i think Cody would be the same way with his nightmares. Obi-Wan is definitely more experienced in the emotional side of things, so i do think he’d take to Cody having nightmares in stride and wouldn’t have much problems helping him at all. Cody is a fast learner, though, so he’d have a whole system for helping Obi-Wan down extremely fast. on that note, i think one of the really good things about codywan is that Cody doesn’t make Obi-Wan feel weak for showing emotions and stuff. he makes Obi-Wan “emotionally repressed” Kenobi extremely comfortable, and Obi-Wan does the same for Cody. they help each other heal all the time, including while they cuddle before sleep.

I have a theory about Miramar, the name that Omega might have use while ahe Is in disguised, that It the full name of Mira Bridger, the mother of Ezra and i Hope that Tala Durith might be her Older sister because they are look alike, same nose, same color of skin excepted the color of their eyes, because Mira had Purple eyes and Tala had Brown eyes, and i have theory about Haja Estree that he might be Ephraim Bridger's friend. After the Battle of Endor, Haja came with Ryder Azadi, Jai, Mrs Sumar, Zare and Dhara Leonis came on Naboo to convince Ezra to return on Lothal that the boy refuse because he want to meets Lux Bonteri, Petro, Katooni, Ganodi, Byph, Gungi, Zatt, Vaash Ti, Rako, Bobby, Bene, Riyo Chuchi, Korkie Kryze, Lagos, Amis, Soniee and Mas Amedda before he return on Lothal that the people celebrate his return and acclaimed him like a Hero.
Omega too might had meets Rae Sloane, that the Imperial woman that Kanan Jarrus and Hera Syndulla meet her in New Dawn, or even Dosmit Raeh that Omega will name her daughter Rey, but a differents letter(I don't know that Basic would sound similar respect our earth language) After the Battle of Endor and One year before Ben Solo Born After the Battle of Jakku
I Hope that Omega was a friend for Ezra, After the Liberation of Lothal, because Ezra was a baby in Bad Batch and he didn't Remember her until 19 years later. I would like to see them in the heir of the Empire where Omega tried to convince Ezra to not worry about Ben before She will meets Dathan Palpatine.
Disney made a right choice to show us Ezra, Ben and Rey from 2014 to 2019.
I was fool because i was mistaken that Rey might be Ezra's child with Sabine Wren but i Remember that It was started when Obi-Wan meets Satine Kryze and before they will meets Ursa Wren before the events of Phantom Menace and It was started also where Obi-Wan Chase Jango Fett After he gets Clones, including Omega, Rex, Cody, Hunter, Crosshair, Tech, Echo, Wolff and Wrecker on Kamino that It was the idea of Palpatine and Dooku until Mace Windu kills Jango on Geonosis and before Sabine Born during the Clone Wars and before Ezra Born on Empire Day and i realize that Clone Force 99 was the true responsable to made the origin of Ghost Crew starring with Kanan and Hera before they were hidden on Naboo, where Padme Amidala and Palpatine were Born. I was fool to not learned about those characters even Rebels and Force Awakens were connected. And because It bring all until Exegol, the new Kamino After Tarkin destroy Kamino in the end of Bad Batch season One.
Clone Wars season three predicted all because Anakin will Hide Ezra and Ahsoka on Naboo with clone force 99 and Martez Sisters, that Obi-Wan told at Anakin to save Ahsoka while they were on Mortis and even the Father see a vision, then Echo gets kidnapped by Separatists, and the he gets rescue by Bad Batch, After Anakin and Ahsoka meets Tarkin(that Anakin sees a vision from Mortis were Tarkin will Blow up Alderaan After we saw Padme use the speed bike during her Chase against the Bounty Hunters on Coruscant, that Luke and Leia will use the speed biker on Return of Jedi) and then Anakin and Ahsoka meets Chewbacca in the end of Clone Wars season three, that they will meets again on Empire strikes back. We also see Padme and Ahsoka that they help Satine to defense Mandalore, if Sabine might have Born between clone Wars season two or three, and even we see the future of Ahsoka and Lux Bonteri when Padme sees again Mina the mother of Lux.
Rebels season three too predicted all because we see Ezra meets Obi-Wan and he almost find out that Anakin Is the Chosen One from the Last Word of Darth Maul and then Bendu reveals at the audience that Thrawn will be killed by Ben in the Mandalorian after Ezra and Sabine saves the Rebellion with the help of the Mandalorians people, After they learn that Maul Is dead and even Thrawn was anger for It, and you realize that Ezra and Sabine will take care of Ben. I Wish that Tech and Qi'ra should have here in this season because Sabine mentioned them but without to Say their names while She fight against Arihnda Pryce meeting Wedge Antilles, that they will team up with Lando to destroy Death Star II.

Hi!
I love all your work and I am very excited for the end of More Than Blood. Tol'ket is one of my favorites, so I was just wondering what little things about him that you know, but haven't made it into the SSTW'verse? If you want to share. Thank you! :)
Oh, Tol'ket, my man. I do love him. Funny how he has grown so fully into such a rich character when all he was meant to be was a human shaped wall for Obi-Wan to talk at (much like Cody in canon). That was all he was originally meant to be, but he grew a little, and then he had his fist interaction with Bo-Katan and his character development took off from there.
So, here's a few things from the deep Tol'ket lore that have either not been mentioned in the stories, or are only briefly touched upon (and a few out of universe facts):
In my head, he originally looked like a hybrid of Oscar Issac and Jason Momoa. His appearance was actually based on a character I played around with in an original story. But then @duchess-of-mandalore fancast him as Michael Ealy (this guy):
Tumblr media
and the image stuck. This is Tol'ket.
If you wonder what he sounds like (apart from a deep voice), he has a slight British accent (what I call a "Sundari" accent). It isn't as pronounced as Satine's or Korkie's (Lily, too, actually, in my head), but it's not as American, like Bo-Katan's (aka, a "Concordian" accent).
I think he mentions all of his siblings somewhere along the line. He is one of six, the third born. He had three brothers and two sisters. And, yes, they all died in the civil war.
Again, it was definitely discussed in universe, but he was raised by his grandfather, who had been a Protector at some point prior to raising his small herd of baby Tol'kets. The baby Tol'kets mother died of illness shortly after the youngest was born, and their father (their grandfather's son) lost it and left (or that was his nature all along and he just needed the catalyst to do it). Ba'buir Tol'ket took his only son's grandkids and gave them a happy home. Their father ultimately ended up on the Death Watch side of the war.
Tol'ket was raised in a farming community. Our man is a farm boy! I have a little headcanon that there are "ag domes" on Mandalore. Essentially domes like Sundari, but they're mostly big raised garden beds instead of cities. His family had a small plot where they raised crops.
Tol'ket's grandfather, a true Mandalorian, heeded to call of his Mand'alor (Adonai Kryze) and went to war. He ultimately believed in the peace Adonai talked about, and was devastated at the death of Adonai's wife. So, he wanted to help. His grandchildren tried in vain to talk him out of it. Instead, they all went, leaving their family farm, and joining up. The youngest was 13. Tol'ket (who is two years older than Satine) was about 18.
Tol'ket spent time with the Kryzes (the whole family) as a small boy, though he doesn't remember meeting either of the girls (he DOES remember Adonai, who was imposing). He went to a ceremony and party honoring his grandfather and his dedication as a Protector, and met the duke there, along with the duke's children (Bo would have been an infant).
Tol'ket's election as prime minister was won handily. While he doubted his ability to sway the people, he didn't understand just how respected he really was. He also had a natural instinct for campaigning, knowing just how to kiss babies and make people want to have a beer with him. But he also had good ideas and, having not been raised as royalty, fighting in and SURVIVING the civil war, and seeing life, first hand, from a variety of places in Mandalorian culture, his understanding of the people he served is very deep and dynamic. He's a GOOD politician. He is in his second term in MTB, and has potential for a third.
Tol'ket loves trying new food. He's eaten some strange things from all over the galaxy. But his favorite will always be space noodles (aka, space ramen). As a Protector, he was on a first name basis with the owner of his favorite noodle shop in Sundari. He tried to go as often as he could, but they also delivered to him a lot, since he's a workaholic. They still deliver to him....now as the prime minister.
His caf addiction is a serious issue.
He tends to be a worrier, though he hides it well.
He likes houseplants. He also pins lots of container gardening ideas to his space Pinterest board. He just doesn't have the time to do that. That being said, he can sometimes be found helping the gardeners in the royal gardens. He also pushes a lot of ag friendly and reclamation projects as prime minister.
He truly had never intended to get married of have children. He was extremely committed to his job as head Protector, and was totally fulfilled with that. Then that certain red head came along and changed everything.
He was one of the first people to respond to the call for people to join the effort to rebuild the Protectors. Obi-Wan admired the man almost from the get go, and hand selected him to be head Protector within the first two years of Satine's reign.
I could probably go on and on and on, but these are a few things we just don't get to talk about much in the story, but I think about A LOT. If you have more questions, I'm always happy to talk about him! (Or Aled, or Greer! Or even Isabet!).

Star War As Star Trek AU: I Still Don't Have A Coherent Plot Idea But Here's Quinlan
At first I thought I'd make our favorite psychometric Kiffar some sort of Garak equivalent. But then, I remembered something. Quinlan is a being of chaos who comes in, flirts, and leaves devastation in his wake. There is only one character in Trek who could possibly fit (that doesn’t have god-like powers anyway).
That's right. Quinlan's now the Lwaxana Troi of this AU.
He comes in, flirts platonically with Obi-Wan, makes Cody want to throw him out an airlock, helps Anakin almost blow up the warp core, and calls Rex "Mr. Fetch".
He's still psychometric, an ability that I'm planning to make a common Kiffar ability.
I want to say he's an important member of Starfleet Intellegence. Like, a Commodore or Rear Admiral. It's only Cody's love of proper procedure and respect for rank that keeps him from tossing Quinlan into the holodeck with the safety protocols off.
When Korkie comes into the picture Quinlan acts as fun uncle Quin, giving the kid advice on life and how to flirt. Korkie ignores most of this, because he has sense, and because his grandpa made sure he got the talk (Adonai was not going to let another generation of his family forget birth control exists — *cough* Satine *cough* — or that healthy relationships have things like boundaries and respect — *cough* Bo-Katan *cough*).
Quinlan’s version of “The Dark Pages” repressed memory is his great-aunt forcing him to hold his parents Guardian Badges and experience their murders psychometrically. (This is an actual thing that happened in Legends. Evil great-aunt Tinté was a horrible old lady.)
At one point everyone thinks Quinlan’s defected to the Confederacy, and Obi-Wan’s feeling all betrayed. Lots of “how could he do this?!” angst moments. Starfleet Intelligence interrogates him like seventy times because he was one of Quinlan’s best friends. Siri’s placed on temporary leave from her position at Intelligence, and Aayla’s promotion to Captain suddenly isn’t happening.
Then Obi-Wan gets assigned a mission to pick up a deep cover operative and a Confederacy defector and surprise! It’s Quinlan and Ventress.
The whole defection was an undercover assignment and the treatment everyone got was meant to sell the ruse. Starfleet got intel that Ventress wanted to defect, sent in Quinlan, and the rest is history. Except for those Confederacy ships priming weapons, maybe you wanna get us out of here Obi?!
Everyone on the Resolute notices Quinlan and Ventress are a lot closer than they should be, because they're about as subtle as a brick to the face and are constantly making out in crowded hallways. Obi-Wan tries to talk to him about it, but Quinlan's playing dumb and after the last 2 months Obi-Wan just doesn't have the energy. To borrow a Voyager quote:
Quinlan: How the hell do you know when we're having intimate relations?
Obi-Wan: There is no one on Deck 9, Section 12 who doesn't know when you're having intimate relations.

Hi! I have a question that I was hoping you would be able to answer! Obviously, anyone can simp for whoever they want to simp for, but do people not simp for Commander Cody only because of the Codywan ship, thus labeling him as gay? I personally don’t like the ship because: a) they are forcing his sexuality, which isn’t right, b) they make Cody’s entire personality trait strictly and obsessively Obi-Wan, which in theory, isn’t a good thing because Cody is Obi-Wan’s subordinate, and c) The Clone Wars didn’t show anything super special about Cody and Obi-Wan’s relationship that could allude to a romantic connection either…they were friends and respected each other, yes, but Obi-Wan didn’t treat his battalion with as much special favor as say, Anakin and Ahsoka or Plo Koon. I also think Cody is really attractive, so maybe I’m just reading too much into it 😂 thank you! (Sorry this is long-winded lol)
Hmmmm so this requires a nuanced answer. I will start by saying
1) I absolutely thiiiirst over cody. I specifically see him and write him as a truly excellent dom which you should read what I’ve written for him in my masterlist hahaha
More below !!!
2) I think people may not think about or be attracted to him immediately because he’s not a major focus of the show ? The clones in the show that are really featured are mostly 501st guys. We just know their personalities a little better and I think people tend to build off of them first.
3) I wouldn’t say it’s forcing sexuality exactly…because we don’t know any of the clones sexualities really. people sort of have freedom of expression to view him or any of the clones as whatever way they would personally like to interpret. HOWEVER…
4) one of the main reasons I critique the codywan ship is for the reasons you’ve stated.
Making him so obsessed with obi-wan that he has no other discernible personality traits is reductive and tbh boring ??? I don’t mind people thinking they may have liked each other (tho the power dynamics of Jedi general/clone commander don’t make me exactly comfortable in every circumstance)
I think Cody is his own person with his own very important internal values. Whether you’d like him to be with obi-wan or not….he needs to be viewed as having other traits besides just being with him. ALSO tbh I think Cody could do better LMFAOOOOO
I personally believe Cody was just very close with Obi-wan and that if Obi-wan were ever to have chosen a partner, it would’ve always been Satine.
Thank you for asking this. I’d say try to block the codywan tag or just avoid/scroll past if you don’t like it. And go by what I did…if you don’t see enough cody, you can try your hand at writing him the way you see him OR see if you can request more from your favorite writer!
He’s wildly handsome, very by the book, sometimes a little stern and I LOOOOVE that about him too🤤🥰
