Considering tattoos became fashionable between European aristocrats in the late 19th century and Tsar Nicholas II himself had a massive dragon tattoo on his right arm (that he got done during a trip in Nagasaki in the early 1890s), it's not completely anachronistic to imagine Dmitri Karamazov as having one or multiple tattoos.
Do whatever you want with this information, I'm just saying.
#I feel the need to justify this knowledge of mine because I do hate monarchies but#I have many tattoos and I find the history of tattooing very interesting#many people think that back in the day in non-indigenous cultures tattoos were only a prisoners and sailors thing but no!#tattoos have always had artistic/spiritual/cultural value across the world and regardless of the time period#we have direct proof that humans have been getting tattoos since the Bronze Age how cool is that#anyway as for the tsar there are pictures of him with his sleeve rolled up where you can see the tattoo#and he talks about it in a diary of his#he said the tattooing session lasted from 9 pm to 4 am and while he liked the tattoo#he said going through that experience once discouraged him from ever getting tattooed again (lmao)#he wasn't the only tattooed member of the Russian royal family either#for some reason this piece of lore popped up in my mind again after years so here it is#the brothers karamazov#dmitri karamazov#mine

So I think my perception of Grian's reasoning for enabling the horrible Jimmy ecosystem and also my perception of his character as a whole has been turned on its head completely and I feel really bad for him after watching Kingdom of Valor and it's like bad roleplay but it's. it's done things to me and I've never ever felt this much for Grian not even in my sadboy Grian Desert Duo phase. I don't know what to do about this
SA word under cut
Episodes 6 and 10 (like the entirety of it) for context. :( . :(. But like major warning if you watch those episodes, especially 10, because um they didn't use any disclaimers
#what the fuckkkkkkkkkk man what the fuckkkk hello#dont talk to me#Grian will never be the same to me again. Like everything makes too much sense now esp with Jimmy but at what cost#dont want Grian to kill himself anymore but at what cost...#like obviously its a completely seperate and abandoned thing but it makes so much fucking sense#from the perspective that Grian prioritizing his wellbeing over anyone else's is why he enforces the ecosystem#just so no one else including potentially him can take his place. Not so much putting Jimmy down as it is him protecting himself#he is still very awful but. I feel bad for him he might be a little bit of a son now I fear#Grian repeatedly saying he'd kill himself and shit. what the fuck#cw sa#cw suicide#tw suicide#tw sa mention#tw rape mention#and they made the conscious decision to put a new skin on him of him being bloodied and his clothes ripped and in um specific ways#and I could so easily see Jimmy in that same situation like that is just alternate universe Jimmy right there#and the two guys with him. his FRIENDS. who he cares about. are just joking about it nonstop and hitting him. help him. Help him#and they have this whole diary about a previous victim who's named Jimmi like hello. what a wild fucking coincidence#most unintentional abhorrent foreshadowing ever just to torture me specifically even though I've seen kingdom of valor only now#kingdom of valor#ok bye dont talk to me#tubby art

i can't imagine how difficult it would be to grasp the idea that you owe so much to a man who you've never properly met or spoken to, yet he saved your life and sacrificed his own to give you another chance with the last person he had left. i wonder how often garroth thinks about aaron
#minecraft diaries#garroth ro'meave#aaron lycan#idc what you say. hes sensitive about the subject of aaron too especially when talking to aphmau#because he learns in time how much he meant to her and its like. yk. aaron died saving him#and he takes it as a blessing#and its another drive for him to prove himself. hes not going to fuck up again. he is not going to let the sacrifice of a man go to waste#he visits the makeshift bodyless grave on his own too sometimes#and he wonders why.

Here's the real question I gotta ask myself.
Of those I imagine have their swords sheathed at their hip, which ones, aside from Laurance, do the thing where they casually rest their wrists against the hilt of their blade while resting all their weight on one hip and making a very good point and/or emotionally devastating someone with a few simple words?
#it's an entire vibe#I know SOMEONE on here knows exactly what I'm talking about#there's absolutely zero question about Laurance he definitely does it#but do Travis & Garroth?#if Garroth does it then does Zenix do it because he's copying Garroth?#Dante's out of the question#he wears his katanas over his shoulder like Leo (TMNT 2012)#I think Zane would be all about proper posture so he portrays the exact image he wants to be seen as so probably not unless he's very#casually threatening someone like when he told Aph he'd invite Garroth's supposed lover out to a picnic just the two of them so he could ge#to know his brother's lover better - somewhere isolated where if anything happened no one would hear a thing not that anything would ever#happen - and then asked her if she'd like to go on a picnic sometime literally the next sentence#That was a Moment#dropofsunlightextras#mcd#aphverse#aphblr#garroth ro'meave#mcd rewrite#aphmau minecraft diaries#minecraft diaries#mcd garroth#aphmau mcd#zane romeave#zane ro'meave#mcd zane#mcd laurance#laurance mcd#mcd dante#travis valkrum#mcd travis

dandelion’s incredible reluctance, and near-fright, to mention kaer morhen by name is somewhat endearing to me. we as the fandom throw around the name so easily, and it’s also home for geralt and ciri, so its name doesn’t carry so much weight.
but in dandelion’s case, it makes sense to fear mentioning it, for it was the site of the massacre… best to not let anyone hear its name… it’s kind of nice to think that dandelion has a degree of self-awareness, when something is as important as this
and also, some part of me just thinks that dandelion with his vivid imagination listened to geralt offhandedly talk about his childhood here or there, and… whatever were mundane facts or sepia-tinted friendly memories for geralt, made dandelion’s expression drop and his innards twist. so he conceives of kaer morhen not just as “the witcher’s keep in the mountains of kaedwen” but “that place where my best friend endured child abuse for eighteen years”
#like… i imagine dandelion has a dysfunctional family relationship too to put it lightly#but as far as the subjected mutations and trials and intense physical training#idk why i think i’m just projecting but#listening to your friend talk about his abusive childhood like ‘oh yeah and then we fell asleep to the ache of our muscles [nostalgic sigh]’#the pain of loving your friend a lot and realizing just how much hell they’ve been through#geralt recalling some memories to dandelion and then all of a sudden#‘dandelion? what’s the matter with you? hell you look as though you’re about to be sick’#dandelion like… 😨#dandelion wanting badly to take on geralt’s pain ✌️ well we got there by time of contempt and baptism of fire#this was brought up for me again when preston holt and geralt were talking in crossroads of ravens#where holt is like: ‘i bet your earliest memory is…’ and geralt is like ‘there was this boy…’ and holt is like ‘yeup’#and though they acknowledge it’s fucked up neither of them are as horrified as they probably should be 💀 because it’s known and familiar#this is also why dandelion is horrified by his suicidal inclinations#yennefer shares them so she is more like ‘ok well don’t do it on the carpet’#this is ciri aka chickened out of suicide attempt and her two parents aka failed suicide attempt and daily suicidal ideations#now i’m not saying dandelion would never kill himself but i mean not during the saga. after half a century is published he could do whatever#the elbow-high diaries#i think the whole ‘recluse from society in an isolated monastery’ thing is already abuse in dandelion’s eyes#the fact that the food is plain = abuse to dandelion lbr

UGH GARROTH HAS BEEN ON MY MIND LATELY BUT MAINLY HIM IN MY REWRITE which i REALLY need to organize one day but. i feel like aphblr appreciates hearing about rewrites a lot so. ill just ramble a bit.
i accidentally made one of garroth's core themes in the rewrite fatherhood.
firstly, he was the most positive male figure that vylad and zane had in their lives. as he got older, he felt more and more protective of them, he didnt want them becoming like his father, the same man that garroth is the splitting image of. he cant repeat the sins of his father, he has to make them better.
but then vylad literally dies and zane becomes an evil priest. so great. he failed.
and then he has to be in an arranged marriage?? not cool. so you know, he fakes his death, so does his arranged marriage fiance, and now theres a huge war, and hes hiding in a run-down village with the help of his former friend from a neighboring village. and he becomes close friends with the lord's secretive wife. she doesn't go out much, she much prefers to stay inside and read her books.
and one day, it blossoms into more.
garroth hates this. a secret relationship with the lord's wife? but, he loves her. and she loves him. their nights are filled with conversations of guilt.
and then, she tells him that she's pregnant.
they stop seeing each other, she hides her pregnancy from the village, her husband is enthusiastic. he's unaware of what's going on, and nine months pass and their child is born, the citizens of phoenix drop blissfully living their lives, not knowing a future lord had just been born. an illegitimate child.
garroth can't care for his son, and he never even learns the name. she stops visiting him, and it hurts him.
but althroughout this time, a young man named zenix came across phoenix drop. probably around eighteen years old, no more than twenty. scarred and traumatized from something he never told garroth about.
and so, garroth takes him in, and treats him like a son. he trains him to become a guard and garroth feels content. he's finally succeeding at this. he's helping someone become a better person! he's an important figure in someone's life!
and during this joyous period of his life, the lord is killed, and his wife is missing. the village was never told about the child, and chaos erupts. garroth and zenix must take control of the town as people begin to leave. garroth mourns the son he never got to connect with.
one day on patrol, a lady runs into the village, seemingly insane and claiming that a weird hooded figure was watching her and so she chased them. garroth and zenix helped her out, and out of the kindness of her heart, decided to repay them by completely helping the village out. this lady who barely even had any memories, who couldn't read or write that well, who was still learning about the history of the world, had taken the struggles of the villagers and put them into her heart, channeling their frustrations into constant work to rebuild the broken village.
it's going well, until, all of a sudden, a villager is attacked in the night and is near death. she saves him, and garroth decides to investigate what happened.
and then he is shot.
by his "adoptive" son.
pain of all types soar throughout garroth's body. he failed again. whatever he did with zenix, it wasn't good enough, and this was his karma.
and yet, he lived. and the knowledge of his failures followed him around as he tried to do any action for months. he hoped it would get better.
then one day, aphmau discovers a child at her door. a baby, one that can't even crawl yet. she discovers a note; his name is levin. she cares for him and brings him around the village, and garroth, in spite of his previous failures of being a father figure, vows to help the woman he loves raise a child, that unbeknownst to him, is his own biological child that vylad saved.
garroth has his suspicions as levin grows, but brushes it off and takes it to be a coincidence. he helps zoey, an elf aphmau had become close friends with, raise levin when aphmau went on her journeys. he taught him how to call aphmau mom!
aphmau has a journey one day and that day turns into weeks. garroth and laurance, his closest friend, search for her and discover she has adopted a ghost child and found another guard. a guard the similar age of zenix.
garroth is hesitant, but warms up to dante, and he and laurance act like father figures to the young guard without intending to. it comes naturally for garroth; laurance just follows his lead. and of course, garroth helps with aphmau's new child. he's making a difference again, he's helping!
and then, an illusion fools him and he falls into a depression. it hurts. he shouldn't be like this, he is supposed to be strong. he is the head guard. yet here he is, letting his emotions get in the way.
he wouldn't mind if laurance and aphmau got together, but to see them do so in private? knowing very well his feelings for both of them? it hurts. they must know what they are doing, there is no other way.
a mysterious lady comes by and offers to help garroth. over time, his memory becomes blurry until he ultimately blacks out. he lacks any autonomy now and attacks laurance. he causes his closest friends to be transported to a dangerous alternate dimension... all because of his own emotions. and to make matters worse, that lady wasn't just someone to help. it was someone hired by zane. the first person he failed to save.
the lady is killed and laurance's words cut through the spell cast on garroth. he has no idea what is happening, but he knows its his fault. he did something bad. and when a portal appears, he urges for them to go on as he fights off zane. he couldn't leave zane there; someone had to stop him from escaping, becoming more powerful, or even achieving what is basically immortality.
the minute that passes in the dimension until his rescue is daunting. flashes into another world where he reunites with aphmau give him hope, but they stop. and he loses his faith. there is no more zane could gain from being in this dimension, if anyone were to open the dimension, they would easily be able to attack him, no unprepared person would dare to do such a risky thing.
and so, he lets zane hit him. a deep cut in the back causes garroth to scream in pain, and he's close to dying.
aphmau returns. she heals him in their world, and he lies about his intentions, and returns to fighting his brother.
little does he know, laurance and aphmau had a few too much to drink one night recently, and made decisions they regret. they won't dare to tell him until much later, they can't risk hurting him, especially in such a vulnerable moment.
the guilt eats them alive. it is worsened by laurance's growing shadow knight urges. they're becoming borderline uncontrollable. its a living nightmare. he can't imagine hurting aphmau, no. he loves her. and he realizes that if she keeps worrying about garroth, she will hurt herself.
he comes to a decision.
he finds a way to open the portal and saves garroth, but costing the lives of himself and zane in the process. garroth is unconcious; he sees a glimpse of laurance, but is unaware of his death until he wakes up. he doesn't believe it, he wants to run, but he can't. his body aches. he's trapped.
aphmau visits him once before retreating to her bedroom for the next few weeks. they both go silent. they couldn't imagine losing laurance, yet here they were.
as garroth gets better, zoey allows for people to visit him. and there, he sees dante for the first time.
he's gotten much older.
there's barely visible wrinkles and blemishes on his face. someone he viewed as a son has aged beyond garroth and it's hard to handle. was this how laurance felt?
and then he sees levin.
he gets it now, this was his son, and he missed his life too. he failed. it hurts all too much, how dare he let his emotions get the best of him. if he had just talked to someone, maybe everything would be okay now.
aphmau eventually drops the news to garroth once they both got better that she's pregnant, and laurance is the father.
he's not mad.
he's broken over the news.
not over the fact that the two people he loved the most got with each other, but the fact that laurance will miss out on seeing his own child grow up, the same way garroth had done with levin.
garroth makes another vow to aphmau. he promises to help raise laurance's kid. he will be there for them.
he won't fail this time.

The more I learn about Civil War politics, the more I'm convinced that Lincoln's most impressive and useful leadership trait was that he never let his pride get in the way of doing his job.
Other people in Lincoln's position would have come to Washington with something to prove. They'd have resented the insults and tried to disprove them. They'd have tried to seize power and credit, rejected help, spent a lot of time trying to reach a certain level of respect.
Lincoln's response to, "You're just a backwoods lawyer with no executive experience who makes too many dumb jokes," was pretty much always, "Yeah. And?" He had no interest in petty personal power plays. He had a country to run. There was a war on. It didn't matter what people thought of him so long as the job got done.
He was aware of his personal shortcomings and was always willing to accept advice and help from people who had more knowledge and experience in certain areas. He presided over a chaotic Cabinet full of abrasive personalities who thought they were better and smarter than him, but he kept working with them because they could get the job done. For example: Stanton was absolutely horrible to him when they were both working as lawyers. Just incredibly mean on a personal level. But when Lincoln needed someone to replace Cameron, he swallowed his pride and appointed Stanton as Secretary of War, where Stanton proceeded to be mean to everyone in the world, but he whipped that department into shape and kept it running efficiently through a very chaotic war. Pretty much no one except Lincoln would have been able to put up with that. He could put up with people who were personally difficult if they could do the job he needed them to do--which he was only able to do because his own ego didn't get in the way.
Lincoln's example is a prime demonstration of how humility isn't underrating yourself--it's being so secure in your own abilities and identity that you don't need to attack anyone or defend yourself to prove your worth. He knew his shortcomings, but he also knew his strengths. He was willing to give other people credit for successes and take blame upon himself for failures if it kept things running smoothly. He was secure enough in his own power that he could deal generously--but firmly--with people who tried to undermine him. In a city full of huge egos, in a profession that rewards puffed-up pride, that levelheaded humility is an extremely rare trait--which is what made it so impressive and effective.
#history is awesome#presidential talk#so i went to a teeny backwater thrift store today#their tiny history book section just happened to have an old lincoln biography#i opened to the page about the cabinet#which describes the situation like 'seward was calling himself premier and lording it over everyone'#'blair was causing problems everywhere'#'welles was insulting everyone in his diary and especially hated stanton grant and seward'#'and stanton hated absolutely everyone in the whole wide world'#and as i was reading this i was internally kicking my legs with excitement and cackling with glee because this is the good stuff#i don't know why but i love these horrible petty men#they're like a bunch of raccoons fighting over territory in a dumpster fire it's so great#i read the whole chapter right there in the store#and it impressed upon me yet again how impressive lincoln was to put up with all these guys#(the writer was a bit simplistic and made a lot of these guys come off as worse than they were)#(like he made seward sound like a complete incompetent when he was a pretty good secretary of state)#(he had some grandiose ideas but the man deserves a lot of credit for keeping england out of the war)#(but for a one-chapter summary of these guys it wasn't exactly wrong and it was a ton of fun)#i very much did not want another book especially another american history book#but it was only fifty cents and i have a pouch full of spare change#and the writer's style was so much fun that i decided to take the book with me#i don't plan to read the whole thing (i'm sick of lincoln bios) but it's fun to dip into for things like this#and i had to talk to you about it

On the topic of Raphael and him "being bad in bed".
Okay I'm only ever going to talk about this at length once and then never again. I've been avoiding talking about it until now because bringing it up always just seems to keep this topic in circles and it becomes an endless pit of nothing.
First of all, I know most of the time (like maybe 70% of the time) it's for the lolz. I get it. Hell, Raphael fans will be the FIRST to quip about this.
BUT
For those taking it seriously one way or another... It becomes such old hat VERY fast.
Those who use it as a jab towards Raphael havers are... Kinda dumb. Because it's like... Okay, and? You act as if somehow negates the entirety of his character somehow just because "HAR HAR HANDSOME DEVIL MAN IS BAD AT SEX" and it's so... vapid and boring? Also it seems a lot of people keep thinking "bad at sex" = JUST that he finishes too fast and nothing else but they seem to forget that the player character came up with that insult on the spot (rather than seeing it as a commentary about his pure selfishness and where it stems from). Haarlep is also a bias source. There's a semblance of resentment from them AND they're a damn incubus. EVERYONE'S terrible in bed in comparison (have you seen Tav? Little shit just lays there like a sack of potatoes during the Haarlep scene). This isn't me saying "Oh it means Raphael is terrific in bed because Haarlep's word cannot be trusted". HELL, no. Quite the opposite, actually. I'm saying "okay... What can I glean from that set of information?"
I feel like this goes for Raphael havers too who have this conversation. I feel like many tend to fall into this trap of odd desparity when they realise that "oh no our magnificent hot man is bad at sex" and somehow treat it as if it's forever a caveat and somehow negates the ENTIRETY of Raphael as a complex character. My first reaction when I got this information during House of Hope was laughing and then going "mmm that's so interesting and adds such a great layer to this already amazing character. Where else can I take this to". In fact, House of Hope as a quest does SO much in adding all these tidbits that make Raphael not just another boring, all knowing, god like, ineffible character. It made me love and appreciate his character even MORE. instead of going in circles and lamenting in how this is somehow "the worst thing ever", I think it's way more fun to explore it and delve into where the root of his narcissism and self esteem issues come from. The dichotomy and complexes of his character. There's SO much to talk about there and yet we're still just stuck on "haha devil man is a bottom and bad in bed" (which is another ridiculous thing btw because people seem to misconstrue bottoms as JUST being submissive. Y'all need to be more open minded 😂).
Apologies if this came off as ranty/condescending maybe. But it's coming from someone who's just minding her own business but have to see a variation of that line CONSTANTLY in the notes/tags on my art/gif posts and as I said... It gets so old REALLY fast. Like please be more imaginative than this, I beg of you. 😭
#bg3 raphael#bg3#baldur's gate 3#I'm definitely missing on some thoughts here but I'm typing this while starving and tired#Aaaand I won't talk about it at length ever again because again#It's SO boring as a topic holy god#The dude is a goldmine of endless directions and topics and themes#We could talk about his childhood - his existential crisis of his upbringing and being half mortal and devil#We could talk about about his obsession with absolute control and freedom and power and want of that in the hells#We could talk about the myriads of ways he and Tav could continue their odd relationship if they went Team Raphael route#We could talk about his diaries#We could talk about his endless dichotomies and why it makes him such a well rounded character without giving away too much#We could talk about his obsession with the arts and literature and how much of a nerd he is for it#But no#All we talk about is his goddamn prowess in the bedroom... And that's a damn shame#Bg3 thoughts#There's the new goddamn Chains of Asmodeus out too... There's SO much we can talk a out concerning Raphael and all that new info#Come on now

Sometimes you just find quotes from historical figures that make you go "yeah, they may not have been particularly the best person ... but the specific thing they point out right there, big mood"
#this is from one of Erwin Rommel's letters to his wife during the French campaign#I kinda started reading more history books again since I got one for my birthday not long ago#but it's also a state I find myself in way too often these days and I don't think it's healthy💀#i'm in this picture and i don't like it#I wonder though if he meant he was genuinely fine or more in an 'this is fine' meme way😭#but now that I think about it this is also kinda Firmus Piett core😭 he's not canonically married but he might write that stuff in his diary#how do i tag this#erwin rommel#history#quotes#random#selnia talks#but yeah just so you know whenever I'm being a bit inactive or distant#it's probably because I'm once again relating a little too much to how Rommel felt on May 11‚ 1940

Dungeon Meshi: The RPG
#Dungeon Meshi#laios touden#marcille donato#chilchuck tims#senshi#animation#game dev diary#Please give a huge hand to my coding partner#who labored for over two weeks to figure out how to implement reaction animation for the battle icons.#You may also notice that I updated the battle portraits from my previous post! New and (mostly) improved!#The death screens were not changed because I didn't think they'd get used for this video.#But Chilchuck getting one-shotted and leaving due to this being outside of his pay? Accidental comedy gold.#The full sprite (I didn't realize the bottom third would be hidden) says: “NOT PAID FOR THIS”#And yeah he's smoking. He gets a smoke break as part of his contract. Let a guy have his vices. He's teetering on a divorce.#Dungeon Meshi would be a fun rpg in theory but it would need to have immersive mechanics like cooking and foraging.#And hunger and fatigue and other status effects.#A slightly more lighthearted fear and hunger sort of game.#But that is for some other fan to do. This is just a fun tech demo for us to learn RPG maker!#So...with this mini-project concluded#we now have a foundation we can pass over to our actual game!#Next game dev post will be some game assets (probably busts and battle icons for the main party)#And after that! Most likely some more sprite sheets (I have made a few more since my first attempt)#Thank you for everyone who has been rooting us on since I started talking about this project. It means a ton B'*)

kai parker is so ethel cain coded specifically family tree (intro), and family tree.
here’s why:
he was the prodigal son turned pariah, cast out by a family that worships its lineage while letting its rot seep into the roots. he’s the black sheep born under a curse of silence, his existence a scar across their bloodline. his sins are their sins, and they have exiled him not for his evil, but because he wears the mask of their darkest truths too openly.
kai is the cain to their abel—damned by birthright, blood marked on his forehead, driven into exile to wander the wastelands of his own making. he is the boy who killed his family to escape them, but the irony burns bitter: he carries their voices in his head like ghosts, whispers of what he was supposed to be and what he became instead. his hunger for power is the desperation of a starving man clawing at the ruins of a house that never let him in. he doesn’t just want to destroy his family; he wants to devour their gods and spit their broken bones back at them.
like jesus rejecting his father, kai denounces the family that cursed him, the coven that deemed him unworthy, exiling him as a siphon witch, a parasite in their eyes. but no matter how far he runs or how loudly he screams, he cannot escape the blood that binds him to them.
the rejection fuels him—his rage at being cast out, at being made the black sheep and abomination of the family. yet deep inside, where he refuses to look, there’s an ache—a child’s hollow grief for a love he never received, for the mother’s blood that still pulses through his veins. he carries it with him like a wound that festers, a reminder that no amount of violence or cruelty can ever cleanse the filth of what he is, what he was made to be. he is the sum of his family’s sins, the dark echo of their legacy, and no matter how much he tries to wash it off, to transcend the label of “abomination”, it clings to him, dripping from his fingers like the lives he’s taken.
anyway! thank you for coming to eepwtf’s ted talk, i could go on about this for ages.

andrzej sapkowski in the witcher presents his reader with many curious and refreshing takes on the fantasy genre, such as "what if dragons were good" and "what if elves were incels"
#i joke it's more like what if the ethereal being had angsty mournful man feelings#that he has feelings but can't work through them because#overemotionality is considered base and human so he's basically been bottling all of this for centuries#the elbow-high diaries#plus that his only purpose was really to be with lara and now she's gone and so what does that make him#i'm not getting all MRA lmaoooo what i'm saying is that there needs to be two to make a baby so he was one-half of that#and destiny didn't work out as planned so ... this is all that's left#reading ch 5 of lotl for the first time: THIS IS SO MESSED UP WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO CIRI!!!#reading ch 5 of lotl again and again: my god EVERYONE here is so messed up and SAD. well except eredin#eredin is like cool im gonna go fight a unicorn#'what are you talking about he wanted to kill auberon?' but not in a very intelligent way he was like to ciri 'so you wanna... kill him?'#imo book eredin is kind of a meathead and it's kind of refreshing with all these 4D chess players around
