“Wait, so, Captain Marvel is like, three?”
Said hero pauses as he nearly passes by a cracked door, creeping slightly closer despite it being more than a little rude to eavesdrop. All of the gods were insistent, which he could say no to, but Billy was giving him the equivalent of puppy eyes, which they all knew he was weak to.
He? They? Marvel was technically an amalgamation of the past champions, currently split between six beings, though nowhere near equally. Billy was and would be the chosen champion- pure of heart to be able to resist the Gods’ bullshit- but he had chosen a team himself, which honestly Marvel approved.
“What the fuck do you mean by that, Hal?”
He didn’t move from the corner, head tilting slightly at Green Lantern’s and Green Arrow’s words. Billy, not physically there, not really, wiggled down from his shoulder, passing through the wall like a ghost invisible to all but him.
Well, him and the Gods, but Mercury’s words were muffled, nearly silenced by Solomon at the moment, so he was probably attempting to wax poetic about Flash again in a way that little ears shouldn’t hear.
“I mean, Marvel mentioned he was created three years ago, right?”
Ah. Marvel had meant that the newest Champion had been chosen, but well, he supposed that the team didn’t have all the information, as Solomon pointed out. And he was pretty sure that Billy was mostly in control at that point- it could get confusing with the hive-mind but not-hive-mind. It was hard to explain to those not apart of it.
But they had to go now, Fawcett called, and it wasn’t like Billy could leave it for long. Chances were nothing would come from this anyway.

I’ve seen multiple posts/heard multiple ppl say that coop will die in fallout and like….i mean. Yeah probably tbh. and i think that absolutely makes sense. This man lived an entire life before the bombs. he was ready to retire early to a ranch and raise his daughter and spend the rest of his life with his family and just. Fucking chilling tbh. he was good. He was happy. he was ready to just ride that happiness out until he died of old age.
his goals now are to find out what happened to his kid and dismantle the system/corporations that blew up everything he and everyone else had or could have had. and then he’s done.

#niche joke maybe?#unclear how many millennials and elder gen z are familiar with moorish decorative arts#but this is the theatre at New York City center#described in the show program as ‘1943 neo-moorish’#I think theatres need to start having themes again why did we stop doing that#I’m not saying we should randomly model them on landmarks of other cultures#because it’s so fucking weird#like the garde arts center in CT is vaguely Egyptian and it’s like??? that’s a choice#but new build theatres are just like neutral spaces#which I understand completely you don’t want to distract from the production happening onstage#but surely there’s some middle ground we could reach!#some kind of neo art deco revival could be lovely#especially as more and more art deco theatres are getting restored to their historic designs#I don’t know if theatres are this way in other countries but I’m assuming that the American trend at the turn of the century#was influenced by European theatrical tradition#I’ve seen color plates of concert halls and opera houses#so I’m pretty sure our heavily themed theatres built 1900-1950 are a translation of that#unfortunately I don’t really have a knowledge base for American theatres older than that because I haven’t really been to any#well wait that’s a lie I’ve been to ford’s theatre in DC#but I don’t think there was much that stood out stylistically to me I think it was just very bog standard federalist#which isn’t the period most people associate it with because of Lincoln#but I don’t know off the top of my head when it was built and that is likely a modern design choice anyway#this has been another episode of ‘I have approximate knowledge of many things’

rotating Halone in my brain case tonight fellas
#as much as she is a deity of Ishgard and has been shaped by the Dragonsong war over the centuries#there is still this deep connection to death because of war#the victorious dead. all is equal and free in death#she is called The Fury#I dunno I just. there’s something about eyrie praying to her to carry the souls of the innocent that were ravaged by the calamity#even though they are not warriors. they are not makers of war and yet they were quite often ishgardian people#there’s an element to war that includes taking care of the injustice of slaughter. the death of the innocent#even if the calamity was not a war#idk eyrie has always carried a sort of affinity to Halone#even though I haven’t nor plan to workshop much of a religious tradition for their village#it exists I know that much but it’ll be important when it is inportent#they came out worship of Halone out of an environment so saturated in it and they found comfort in the routine#of the practices and that turned to more purposeful worship#they don’t have much a thought towards religion but they are generally kindly and respectful#even being someone who has killed that which people consider to be deities#on Several Occasions#correction: they do have thoughts but they avoid thinking about it too hard bc it hurts their head#oc: eyrie kisne

Very jazzed about my shirt sewing progress. One shoulder seam binding/reinforcement is completely done and the other is pressed and pinned in place. After that’s sewn, all I have to do construction-wise are finish the underarm gusset seams, add my already pressed side slit reinforcements, do the cuffs, and hem the bottom edge of the shirt.
The shoulder binding strips really should have been completed earlier, but I had to rework things a little after mucking them up a early on. At least my slightly modified method of attachment works alright, though it won’t be quite as sturdy.
I’ve also done some experimenting with dorset wheel buttons in preparation for the final finishing bits. Considering that I started this project around the end of 2019 or 2020, it’s satisfying to see the end in sight.
#I got overwhelmed and then very busy with finishing my degree#I haven’t been actively working on it for three years straight#ego sum art#my blather#alas I need to cut new cuffs#I want to do a wider button closed late century cuff#based on a dated extant example in the v&a#and the cuffs I have cut are an earlier very narrow link closure style#it’s fine this is legitimately the first time I’ve sewn an entire garment#kitchener’s stitching a sweater notwithstanding
