I got like four hours sleep, Cody is apparently sick again and can't see the vet until 4:45, my mum asked my uncle to help me move without asking me first which has kicked up a whole bunch of awful memories, and I have a stomach ache because I'm so stressed.

But I am finally getting some assignment work done.

#i know the last few days of inactivity have been because of burnout/recovery from the house hunt and Christmas #and also a hormonal flare #and not because i was being lazy or anything #but that doesn't stop me being frustrated about it #and feeling like i was being lazy #im pretty sure my uncle isn't going to call me because hopefully he realised my mum was trying to be helpful without asking #I really do appreciate her thinking of me because she knows im incredibly stressed about my assignments #but i explained to her that i think him being there would be much worse because he'd want to be in charge and he's quite chaotic with moves #and tends to break things and will also throw things out without asking #and i like to be very organised and in charge during a move #and so it wouldn't be a good time #moving is very triggering for me (he actually helped my mum in the move that is one of the triggers)#and id rather pay for a moving truck than put myself through reliving that again #i also have friends who have offered to help too and i trust them much more than family #because they're the ones who have been there for me every time i've moved #i've even gotten to return the favour sometimes which makes me very happy #fuck im so worried about cody #he's an old dog i know #but i just want him to be okay #fuck the worst thing about stress like this is ive survived like mortal peril #but apparently cant handle normal people stress #booooooo #sorry for the whinging im just very overwhelmed rn

Jason doesn't say that he loves Bruce, but he spends some extra time preparing rubber bullets when they are on the mission together, and tugs him away when they accidentally stumble across the dead family in the Alley of Crime.

Jason doesn't say that he loves Dick, but he knows when his brother is close to the meltdown, so he musters some courage to appear in his doorway, pretending that he needs some company, because Dick would never admit that he himself needs someone to have his back.

Jason doesn't say that he loves Tim, but knowing how overworked he can be, and how little he cares about his nutrition or the mess in the house, he sneaks out in his apartments to clean it up and prepare food in various lunch boxes, for the week.

Jason doesn't say that he loves Damian, but he drags him around the "unbecoming, childish and immature" places, because Damian is still a child, who needs to have fun, but he is too shy and too unexperienced to admit it.

Jason doesn't say that he loves his parents — all of them, Catherine, Sheila, Willis — but he makes sure to visit their graves and speak with all of them a little.

Jason doesn't say that he loves Gotham, but he makes sure to use money he has on anonymous donations here and there.

Jason doesn't say that he loves the Alley of Crime, but he does his best to protect it as the Red Hood and often volunteers to teach kids some basic educational stuff as Jason, earning being called "Big Brother" on the streets.

Jason doesn't say that he loves himself... Because, honestly, he doesn't.

But when a little ghost of second Robin sometimes visits him in his sleep, Jason teaches himself not to be mean and spends time with the boy, reassuring him that it was never his fault.

Jason Todd doesn't know how to say "I love you" to people, but when someone finally tells it to him, he breaks down crying.

He can't remember the last time someone said it to him.

finally at that age where i'm thinking i should get a tattoo. not bc i feel strongly about it, just seems like a waste not to. i've got so much skin i'm not using

#feels so selfish like. all this skin what am i saving it for?#open to design suggestions! (please make me regret this offer)#maybe some deep sea horrors. a pretty watercolor of a gulper eel #once saw a person on the subway with various Skeleton Tattoos on all their limbs #i respected their commitment to the theme #but more than that i respected how all the skeletons were engaged in Activities #dancing in a ballgown. juggling its own (and two other???) skulls. swordfighting. being a mermaid skeleton #ANYWAY. the only reason i haven't already gotten tattoos is i just couldn't be bothered #i'm old enough to know i don't have any strong-but-potentially-temporary feelings driving me towards it #aesthetically i prefer decorated to non-decorated surfaces. but i'm not artistic or thrilled with commitment #honestly it feels like sheer laziness. indecisiveness--nay. immaturity!--that i HAVEN'T gotten a tattoo yet #letting all this blank canvas go to waste. tut tut i need to grow up and be an adult and get a tattoo sleeve already.#really i've put off my responsibilities long enough #(in fairness i DID at one time have 18 different piercings)#(but i took most of them out bc they interfere with wearing headphones and/or shoving my face in my pillow during Sleep Time)#(i only kept the nape piercing bc oddly enough it ended up being the most convenient. and the least painful to get now i think about it.)#(neck piercing? no problem. normal pair of earrings? #theresbeen some hiccups like the first month i started to realize my work drive was 90% fear based #so ivehad to develop like actual work schedule and discipline thats not just 'everyone will hate me if i dont'#but its been working! now getting stuff done actually... feels.... good?#instead of like throwing water over one fire only to run to the next one #like before nothing was ever satisfying. i was always just running around panicked #now im like. okay this is what i have to get done today. yay! i finished it! now i go to bed. okay now its the next day #the only other thing ive noticed is ive become seemingly like. more. autistic acting.#like i get More fixated on my special interests now. i can think about something for hours straight instead of getting guilty and thinking #'oh im being greedy im being lazy with my time i should be doing something productive'

does anyone have tips for people trying to stop being chronically late to everything in the world that aren’t weirdly judgmental and aggressive or flat out lies

#when i tell you every single resource i’ve ever found or tried to get through or anyone i’ve ever asked #has been just so. mean about it #not even intentionally #not always at least #but there’s so much inherent shame tied to being late to things or being a person who used to be late to things #that i don’t think people can untie that from their ‘helpful tips’#it’s all ‘i used to also be a lazy uncaring piece of shit! you don’t have to be a horrible wretched loser anymore!’ and it’s like. okay.#you see how that’s not helping. right.#making me feel worse about it is NEVER helpful. i promise you i already have tortured myself over it FARRR more than any ‘on time’ person #ever had #this has been a comic i’ve been stewing on for ages as well but. well there’s of course the shame #idk it’s something that people are always despicably mean about bc fundamentally people who have never struggled with it #see it as a personal choice to be late #and as something one needs to just ‘try harder’ to fix. and that if you don’t #you inherently don’t care about other people’s time or even other people in general #and that feels horrible! it feels really bad!!#i mean i’ve got it from EVERYONE. disability allies. other adhd folks. disability resource offices #it’s something that nobody ever cares to acknowledge or try to accommodate for #bc time blindness and exec dysfunction are NEVER taken seriously as disabilities. they’re always always viewed as a personal failing #and i’m sick and tired of it. bc all this does is make people struggling with this Hate themselves #and worry endlessly that maybe they Are selfish and actually Don’t care about anyone else #there’s a bit too much here to keep in the tags i should really do the comic for adhd awareness month

miscellaneous gideon related doodles ive been doing over the past few days bc my brainrot has set in and its unfortunately terminal. some things:

so ghost-eyes sticks around in gideons life, as do the other prison buddies of his. theyre actually a shockingly good influence. despite being willing to commit crimes whenever, they bring a sort of temperance to gideons more. insane thought processes that stops him from doing anything TOO horrible these days. ghost-eyes especially is his hench-uncle. hes a good egg

also some older gids doodles... he wasnt sure if the pines would ever want to hang out w him after the events of that summer but time smooths over some things. hes capable of being normal around her now but he'd be lying if he said he didnt still have a little flame in his heart when it came to mabel

also do you think he ever just remembers something he did as a kid and is like Hey What The Hell Was That About. because thats the funniest mental image to me. sitting up in bed and going 'ten years ago I made a giant robot'
