i am doing a single (one! 1!!) line from kind of love in noteblocks and this is why I was never a musician why is this so hard 😭

I got the actual noteblock redstone structure set up months ago and ever since then it’s been a matter of getting the right notes and this time I had to draw out a diagram of a music bar in an art app, look up what note minecraft noteblocks start on, and then sketch out roughly where each note is by ear/memory, THEN tweak the minecraft version (using debug to see which specific note my blocks are set to) and tweak my artistic representation in turn- 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

techno being creeped the hell out by Sam’s deal bc Sam is Sam and he like, has eyes, versus Dream’s autonomy copium and aggressive this-is-fine-I-am-in-control-isms that are the only reason why he’s survived as long as he has, FIGHT!

c!techno giving lukewarm takes like 'it's a little weird this dude kept you locked up in his house for so long, man' and c!dream is just, 'yeah, okay, but it could've been worse and maybe if you look at it this way, it was actually better than the prison because i stopped burning myself in lava because there was no lava so technically'

and techno is just covering his head a little and going, 'chat, is this guy for real'.

early manhunt!Dream is such a little guy, he's having so much fun being silly. The games are much less serious in the 3 hunters series, so he takes on a Bugs Bunny-like trickster role.

Dream treats the audience as part of the game as much as the hunters, where we're his accomplices and confidant to the next devious play he's got up his sleeve.

late manhunt!Dream is a much more focused persona. He's more stressed, quiet, and is utterly vicious to a hunter separated from the pack to make them panic.

The audience isn't really acknowledged anymore, merely a camera hovering over his shoulder that acts as pressure more than confidant.

(There's an interesting pattern in manhunt fics where Dream's personality is one of the two)

i feel tbh like i'm sorry dream but it was obvious nothing was going anywhere since a while i know why he wanted to try but this wasn't worth it

oh hi! Yeah, but I understand why he did. Dream has said over and over again he just wants people to talk to him if they have issues, and he also did I guess tell tubbo he’d be on stream with him, so I think it makes perfect sense WHY he went for it.

however I also personally think it was a bit of a waste, since well I felt like it was clear he wouldn’t change his mind and neither would his audience. But if Dream says he got something out of it, I’m happy for him! And we should fingers crossed get a new video soon which should help everybody move on (“soon” lol)

Honestly, I think my full take away from all of this is that it literally would have been a better use of everyone's time, and a lot more fun, if Dream had decided to go on the stream and do fake omega discourse like we do when people try to start stupid shit. Literally nothing Tubbo has brought up was worth this.
