love the idea of the Avengers adding new members but being stingy about rooms so the OG Avengers each get their own but Bucky and Loki are forced to share one under the guise of it being 'healthy interaction'

To socialise or not to socialise, that is the question.
#Looked at two places I could move out to & they are complete opposite vibes in terms of socialableness#Both have roommates ofc but one gives me a lot more of my own space & it seems like I would barely have to interact with them at all#So I'd be left pretty much completely alone. Which is usually the dream#And ngl knowing the other people there would keep to themselves & have no interest in knowing me is especially relieving#Given the whole thing that pushed me to move out in the first place#The other has extremely small & cozy vibes. Owner's stuff all over the place#By cozy I do mean cluttered#The girl I met with there (not the person I'd be renting from) gave me a tour for five-ten mins#And then the next 30 mins-60 mins we spent chatting over tea#Someone more sociable than me might call it instant bestie vibes#Which. Has been something I've kind of very much been missing/yearning for irl I will admit#& from the sound of it the person subletting has the same vibes with her#She says he's 'interesting' and 'I'd like him'#From the combination of her description and the clutter I'm getting eccentric professor vibes#Which is generally a good vibe to me#But I am even more skittish of renting from someone t#Too sociable#After prev landlord#Though I want to trust othet tenant's vibe check. Because it might actually be very nice to have some kind of real life friends#It's also a very different kind of sociable than prev landlord#She was 'chatty and gets you to open up easily' sociable & it sounds like the other guy will be approximately the same#& also 'repeatedly assures you can ask her to stop if she's being too much' sociable. Which is always a relief#Meanwhile prev landlord was 'wants to know why you're not relaxed & tells you you should be without doing anything to help you be' sociable#'gets very pushy about finding time to talk/hang out' sociable#'teases you for being awkward' sociable#None of which were the real issue with him of course. But they didn't help & I can't help but see them as red flags in retrospect#I'm currently leaning towards 'to socialise' because it was a very cosy vibe & I do feel starved of irl friendship just a bit#But it could either be very good or very bad#& I don't want to risk very bad again#Anyway. This has been missives from a pizza shop I ducked into to charge my phone before I go back to being lost in a snowstorm

Quick sneak peak of the thumbnails for the sims4 scar cc I'm currently working on!! I will have everything ready to release by the end of the week :D
#I was genuinely super surprised when I looked and found that no one had made phalloplasty scars for the sims4 yet#so I finally made my own#then I got super carried away and made a bunch of extra stuff lol#so in total I'll be releasing 3 sets of transmasc scars cc for the sims4!#They're all base game compatible and maxis match (I've tried to make them match the official sims4 scar style)#They work on any skintone !!#I have 7 variations of hysterectomy scars (a bunch of laparoscopic + 2 open procedure scar types)#7 variations of top surgery scars (double incision - keyhole - inverted T - fishmouth etc etc)#and RFF phalloplasty scars (both left and right hand options)#multiple transparencies for all variations (this will make more sense when I make the full release post lol)#I really wanted to also do ALT phallo scars but I wasn't able to find enough references to make something I felt was good enough to share#These are my first ever cc! For any horror fans out there that haven't read it yet: The Twisted Ones by T. Kingfisher is SO GOOD. I don't remember ever being so scared by a book
#the hollow places is also very good but it made me feel more like... fascinated than scared#the twisted ones actually has me like... i cant read it alone at night bc i get too spooked lol. i have to read it in bed next to my gf#and then i STILL get spooked. i spent all of last night in between dreams Scared Of Monsters Getting Me#until i woke up this morning and realized wait a second... that was in the book not real life#i am. so pleased by this. it is SO hard for me to find content that actually scares me anymore#and i love the authors voice too. the characters in each book have their own unique voices and both books have way different vibes#but even with that theres still some sort of just... essence that the author brings thats very present in both books and i really enjoy it#would definitely recommend both of them and i will DEFINITELY be checking out more of her books#rambling#edit: im looking at a list of her other books and two of them have a nonbinary mc?? hell yeah!!!#ive never seen a nonbinary person just casually represented in a non-lgbt focused novel. I'd probably be less stressed if I stopped my very much NOT funny tradition of having a bazillion things happening 'round me at the end of the year
#still waiting to see if my doctor is going to approve my blood work#still on talks with my bank to see if the plan gets approved and I actually get to own a place#still waiting for the agency to call us back about the place we saw tuesday and we'd be interested in#I also am going to be a... dunno the nongendered form of how I'm going to have a niece in less than a week#i'm working my ass off so i don't get sacked at the beginning of the year#planning a move + how it's going to work#how we are going to be asking for days off on both of our jobs considering it all#the conversation regarding companies pertaining light#water and all of the basic necesseties#which revolves around on the fact that I need to feign being a woman for all of them and keep accepting and signing forms under a gender i'#very much not bc here i don't get to be legally recognized as anything but the binary#and the mental inner countdown all of it brings bc since taking t i'm gearing towards a more androgynous look and therefore more difficult#to pass with each passing week#i REALLY want a break#and to probably pass out for a month#(and knowing that atop of it all i'm starting to burn out and I'm not being as good of a friend I should be)#fuck off mental gnome#ps to those that might be reading the tags#me trying to own a place is mostly due to a need since mortages are cheaper than anything these days and our lease is going to be up in a#year#and we know they will not keep the monthly payment the same if we keep leaving here giving that they've increased the amount twice already#so we need to move and we need to do it now whilst i'm still under 30#as banks offer aid to those that try to own a place under 30 and they look to the oldest of the couple#which would be me#I'm 28#soon to be 29 in -also- less than a week#can i have a fucking break xd#living and not leaving#not editing a single tag we die like fanfic authors who don't give a damn

i finished troilus and cressida today and no wonder they call it a problem play. honestly what was that
#tales from diana#text post#shakespeare#troilus and cressida#i wont say i didnt like it or i was disappointed#but that was really quite strange and i dont know what to make of a lot of it#and ive read several of the problem plays before in fact a lot of them are my favorites. the winter's tale/all's well/etc.#t&c was very strange. it was like it wasn't even written by shakespeare. it doesnt bear a resemblance in character and plot style#the writing is certainly shakespeare and in that it is beautiful. beautiful.#the characters are very very opaque though. that's a word i found someone use when explaining why it's one of the more difficult plays#yeah they do not have a lot of internality. theyre honestly kind of flat? at least to read.#im sure it's different in performance. i watched the trailer for the 2019 rsc production and THAT looked great#shakespeare is normally so good at lending depth to even the most minor of characters#whereas the motivations for a lot of the t&c cast are either very simple or somewhat unclear. or both.#it's a play i'd not recommend for the plot#but as i do have this broader goal of finishing shakespeare's complete extant plays in my 20s. yeah that's one more down#that was number 23 of 38. i have 15 more to go.#at this point there aren't a lot of well-known or famous ones i still haven't read#by far the most famous one i still haven't read is othello. which might be scandalous to admit#and twelfth night and much ado about nothing. and titus andronicus.#im planning on knocking down some of those next but the thing is i already kinda do KNOW those plays#i just havent READ them. in full on my own.#but also i ordered this morning. a book ive been trying to get forever#three tragedies by renaissance women#including elizabeth cary's mariam#jane lumley's translation of iphigenia#and mary sidney's antonie! so i have that to look forward to#as well as. always. a neverending pile of plays i already own. to be read. very exciting#ive read 6 shakespeare plays this year (2023). that's the most i've read since 2018 the year i got the riverside shakespeare.#wonder if i wanna break that record? it's october. i have time to decide.

#well I can no longer tease Keith for being/looking obliviously in love with his bff#I think I’ve mentioned before that a big part of the reason I’m going to Taiwan this summer#is b/c my best friend from LSE lives there#we met the first week of university and it all just went from there#(rare for both of us b/c we’re introverted)#anyway#after I moved to the US for grad school#and she moved back to Taiwan to work for a bit and figure out what she wanted to do her MA in#we started sending each other care packages#(before this we used to bring each other stuff back from home during breaks )#((we also meet on zoom every week for a few hours to talk + watch movies))#they’re pretty good sized boxes with (mostly) food and also books and weird t-shirts/clothes and all of that kind of stuff#we’re quite good at this point at getting stuff the other will like#(I always trawl Trader Joe’s for interesting things I think she’ll enjoy. she got me 5 different flavors of salted plum from an indie#company in Taipei because she knows I love ume)#we always put notes for each other in the boxes too#I send hers to her parents house because it’s easier to have packages shipped to there than in her small flat share in Taipei#and her mom (with her permission) sometimes opens them and takes out something for herself to try#what I didn’t know until today#is that her mom also takes out the notes to put on her desk so they don’t get lost#and she’s been hinting to my friend more and more over the past 2 years that it’s okay if she’s ‘not into boys’ and her parents will support#her no matter who she dates (which is very sweet)#now I’m coming in less than a week#and when my friend was visiting home this weekend she took her aside and told her#that she didn’t have to introduce me as her friend and she could openly say I’m her partner of 2+ years#which (again) would be very sweet#if I were actually her girlfriend#I’m not#and I’m having dinner with her parents at some point in the next few weeks#my life is a bad sitcom

just finished 12 season of bob’s burgers and i’m not ready for the movie not season 13
#i wanted to prolong this bas alas#i’ve seen some animation pics from the movie and it looks GOOD#also season 12 was really great arc wise imo it really had the kids address themselves and their behaviors which i adored#i love the kids a lot a lot actually and i love joining bob and linda watching them grow up#i love the moments louise decides she wants people to have fun#and i love when tina has moments where she realizes she doesn’t need the group of friends she’s built#but also she’s embraced their friendship as well especially with the boys#a whole episode where willingly hung out with and helped zeke is IMMENSE growth on her part ESPECIALLY when jimmy jr wasn’t even there#also while she’s still 13 and her crush on jj is still there she’s accepted him as a friend and has learned to treat that friendship nicely#and i love that she’s allowed herself the room to be mean to him too sometimes cause he deserves it whack him again for me T!#AND GENE my baby who is funny enough imo the most similar to bob#like all kids have some traits they’ve got from him and linda but gene reminds me of him in funny ways esp a younger version of him#i really believe bob would’ve been more like gene had his mother not passed and his father not gotten distant#but anyway gene’s seriousness and the way he behaved in the locker love mv episode stood out to me personally#but also the creativity that exists in them both and is expressed so beautifully with what they love#bob with his burgers and gene with his music#and then also tina with her writing and louise with her scheming#but also gene not being too clingy with linda this season is such a refresher cause that was getting too much too weird#and louise is my babh i could talk for hours about her actually#and then bob and linda and their evergrowing love for each other#and then for their kids who they want the best for and it’s starting to become obvious to them that their kids are gonna need them a lot#more often because this season and i’m gonna assume the movie and the next season are gonna introduce more insecurities into the kids’ lives#which isn’t to say they weren’t there before or weren’t insecure before but i think it’ll continue to be pointed out more#they’ve done a wonderful job of raising their babies to be as expressive of themselves as they want to but the world as we saw in the season#12 finale isn’t ready for that kind of expression and it’s gonna hit the kids pretty hard because they’re all weird and different and the#kind of weird and different the world chews and spits out so they’re gonna need to fall back heavily on their parents as well as their#circles which the show developed more this season#with tina and the kids krew and then gene with his growing friendship with courtney and alex and even peter#and then louise and her friendship with rudy and ollie and andy and jessica and millie#tag: bob’s burgers watch
