The situation is very dangerous in Gaza

After the occupation fired shells and fire at our house, and we then saw death with our own eyes, we were displaced from the house and then to 5 places, the last of which was in the tents in which we currently live in tragic and complicated conditions.🥲

Our dreams have been lost, our house has been destroyed, and I watch my mother lose her life due to the lack of medicine, without me being able to do anything for her here. Life is difficult in the tents, and the drinking water is polluted.

In short, there are no minimum necessities for human life here. The situation is catastrophic and devastates humanity. Famine is intensifying, poverty is intensifying, goods are running out, and the danger of bombing is all around us.😟

I appeal to you and seek your help to share our story and our suffering through your pages, and to provide us with support and concern.🙏

I do think Asgard has some amount of farming and hunting. Most of the world has probably been constructed and their fruits and vegetables might not have originated there. But they can grow food and maintain themselves when need be. How big Asgard is and what the population is, is a little vague but they have plant life and animals. Thor destroyed the bifrost in 2011 and to be able to do that Asgard has to be able to maintain itself to some degree.

O.K. this is a super interesting topic, and I spend way to much time overthinking it XD

Because wether or not a country/realm can sustain itself completely depends on how the three economic sectors are weighted

Primary: involves the retrieval and production of raw-material commodities, such as corn, coal, wood or iron. Miners, farmers and fishermen are all workers in the primary sector.

Secondary: involves the transformation of raw or intermediate materials into goods, as in steel into cars, or textiles into clothing. Builders and dressmakers work in the secondary sector.

Tertiary: involves the supplying of services to consumers and businesses, such as babysitting, cinemas or banking. Shopkeepers and accountants work in the tertiary sector.

SO, the question isn't: "Does asgard have farming and hunting" and more: "Does their primary sector cover their necesseties?"

And that depends entirely on how much their primary sector produces and what it produces

The UK for exmple is dependant on for example wheat imports becasue the wether is to cold and to wet to be 100% independant ...

Now since Asgard is a warrior culture, like the Massai, I would hassard a guess and say that the propably mostly produce cattle related food

So, meat and dairy.

Which works with what we see from asgard, mostly mountains, which do not really lend themslefs to much of grain production.

Now, of course we can't really see what is happening in the valeys and we don't know how much of asgard is untouched nature and how much of it is cultural landscape

But the palace and it's surounding city seem sto be the only bigger settlement as far as we can see.

SO the rest of asgard coudl potentially be used for food production

But again, what is the rest of asgard like?

What is the soil like? acidic? basic?

Is there danger of regular flooding?

What is the rain like? to much? to little?

Does asgard have a sofisticated culture of water management or don't they bother becuse they can import?

What is teh wether like?

Hot and dry? Moist and dry? cold and dry? cold and moist?

How many harvests are possible per year? One? two?

-> In india you can harvest at least some things twice a year becasue of the climat

Now, the very steep landscape doesn't have to be an issue, I know that in south america the cultures used a form of vertical gardens to farm for food.

Something pumpkins very much lend themslefes too.

They also are good to transport ... unlike say ... tomatos XD, and good for storgae

Which of course is less of an issue if you can use magic ... if asgard has some sort of stasis fild then they can have big storage halls that can hold food indefinitely which would make sense for a warrior culture and measn after Thor destroyed the bifrost there is a big buffer of food until it is repaired again ...

The problem ultimately is that we know nothing about wether asgardians use old fashioned farming metods or modern once

If any of those buildings are actually "food factories" with every level being used as a garden etc ...

We also dodn't know how many calories an average asgadian eats every day ...

We don't know how the ecosystems work

For example on earth a natural density for deer is a densities of 5-10 per square mile

If you want more, you have to feed the so you have to farm and or buy crops in some way shape or form

Is it the same for asgrad?

How much game is naturalyl sustained by their foretsts? How much of asgard is forest?

Also, bigger question, have the nine realms specialised?

England for example forced Indian farmers to farm specific things

Like cotton, coffee, tea, indiogo etc...

Their ability to fee dthemslefes completely dependant on beeing able to sell these things and then buy food and new seeds for next season

Meaning, wenn England suddenly no longer bought for example indigo, because arteficial dyes had become cheaper and more available then using indiog ... those villages starved, because they couldn't eat the indiogo and they couldn't sell it.

So, has asgard made the nine dependant on the bifrost by doing something similar?

So for example nidavelier has no real food production, becaus ethey are suppose to concentrat on high tech and high end weapons, trading for food, while say Vanaheim, is a big producer of food like Ukrainia

Was that the reason for all those rebellions that broke out the second teh bifrost was gone?

Becasue food prices imidiately skyrocketed which tend sto make people angry?

In that case well done Thor, you safed Jodenheim, by fucking everyone else ...

SO yeah ...

ultimately very interesting topic, but saddly, since the MCU is very sloppy at world building, it leaves us with more questions then answers XD

Food of Asgard?

Watching some deleted scenes from Thor did make me thing about what Asagrd has for food.

What we can see from Thor flipping the table is the golden apples from the myths, but also the gourd, a lot of gourds.

Scattered on the floor there's a clearer shot of the gourds. But also some hard cheese, loaf of bread, grapes and pomegranates.

Volstagg here getting some risen bread and presumably some cheese. He has a cheese knife for it.

Behing Volstagg there's more grapes and loaves of bread, some apples, and either tomatoes or persimmon.

Also from later in the film we know Aagard has, wild boar, pheasant and beef/cows.

Volstagg gnawing on this, which seems pretty big for a pheasant.

So Asgard seem to have a bit of a difference in their agriculture then Nordic and Scandinavian would have historically had.

Fallout 76 Logistics

time to talk about some planing about the new Fallout game. health is a major fact in this game, there are Dozens of factors in this Game about staying alive.

Not being mauled by radiatet animals or shot by Molemen ir having your face melting from nuclear fallout. stimpack’s and Radaway can do only so much...

Dont starve:

Startingoff with the obvious, once you leave teh vault you are directet to a few draining ans basic quests... getting drinkable water and edible food. Starvation and hydration are major factors...

not only does a meal fill HP, they also grant a buff, for example added carry weight, ir a better ap regeneration... Water helps you stay alive, and keep your ap on its peak. wicth means. as soon as you pack out your C.A.M.P the first two things you should build are a cockingplace and a waterpump. thanks to teh fact yoru overseer leavs the plans at the camp she had for you to learn. water, cooking, sleepingplace and shelter are the main things you have to care for at your personal base of operation.

Carryweight:

as you begin teh game you are made out of Twinkamterial, weak and unable to stash alot of things on your at all time. so here a few small tips.

1: bare necessetys: just wear your armor and 2-3 guns. you dont need much more, along a Closecombat option. ( stack any amunition you dont need at your C.A.M.P.

2:Food/Drink: stuff spoils so no need to carry raw meat or veggies with you on yoru explorations. take cleaned or purified water and cooked foods with you, a dozen stimpacks and the chem’s you need. the less you have when you go out, the more you can haul back to your hidingspot.

3: Scrapping: you find quiet often workign benches on your way, any junk you picked up so far and dotn need sould be scrapped to reduce its weight. a few parts are way lighter than a whole dozen pipe pistols.

4: Powerarmor: you amy find a powerarmor on yoru way, if so. lucky bast*** you hit a jackpot. Even without a fusion core or any wearable armor the frame is a great tool. you may be slow but you gain aditional strengh to carry more stuff and once claimed you can just drop teh frame  with its weigth of 10 in your inventory. once claimed it cant be stolen if you abandon it in the wild.
