Later that night, Sam finds himself pacing in the kitchen, trying to summon the courage to follow Dean’s advice. The idea of asking you out feels like standing at the edge of a cliff, heart pounding and unsure if the leap will end in flight or a crash.

“You’re overthinking it,” Dean says from the doorway, arms crossed as he leans casually against the frame. “Just do it already.”

Sam glares at him. “Could you not?”

Dean smirks but holds up his hands in surrender. “Fine. But if you wait too long, you’ll miss your shot.”

Sam groans, running a hand through his hair. He grabs a bottle of water from the fridge and takes a deep breath. Before he can talk himself out of it, he heads to the library, where he finds you exactly where you were earlier—feet up on the couch, headphones back on, and nose buried in the journal.

This time, though, he doesn’t linger at the edge of the room. He clears his throat, and when you glance up, he flashes you a small, nervous smile.

“Hey,” he says. “Got a minute?”

You pull your headphones down, giving him your full attention. “What’s up, Sammy?”

He shifts awkwardly, his fingers gripping the water bottle like it’s a lifeline. “I was, uh, wondering if you wanted to… hang out tonight. Just the two of us.”

Your brow quirks, a teasing smile tugging at your lips. “Hang out? Like a date?”

The question catches him off guard, but he nods, swallowing hard. “Yeah. Like a date.”

Your smile softens, and you close the journal, setting it aside. “I’d like that.”

Relief floods him, and he offers a lopsided grin. “Great. How about we make dinner? Together?”

“Sounds perfect,” you say, standing and stretching. “But just so you know, I’m rubbish in the kitchen.”

He chuckles, the tension in his shoulders easing. “That’s okay. I’ll take the lead.”

A short while later, the two of you are in the kitchen, chopping vegetables and debating the proper way to season a sauce. Sam works with practiced ease, and you do your best to follow his instructions, though you can’t resist sneaking tastes or cracking jokes to keep things light.

“You’re surprisingly good at this,” you say, watching him stir a pot with effortless grace.

He glances at you, his cheeks faintly pink. “I had to learn. Dean and I didn’t exactly grow up eating gourmet meals.”

“Still,” you say, leaning against the counter, “you make it look easy.”

Sam shrugs, a shy smile playing on his lips. “It’s nice to share it with someone.”

Your eyes meet, and for a moment, the air between you feels heavier.

After dinner is ready, you settle in the living room, plates balanced on your laps as a movie plays softly in the background. You’ve both kicked off your boots, and somewhere along the way, you ended up leaning against him, your head resting on his shoulder.

“This is nice,” you murmur, your voice barely above a whisper.

“Yeah,” Sam agrees, his hand resting lightly on your knee. “It is.”

When the movie ends, neither of you moves. The warmth of his presence, the way his fingers trace absent patterns over your leg—it’s all too comforting to break.

“Sam?” you say after a while.

“Yeah?”

You tilt your head to look at him, your lips curving into a soft smile. “Thanks for tonight. I needed this.”

He smiles back, his hazel eyes warm and tender. “Me too.”

Before you can overthink it, you lean up and press a gentle kiss to his cheek. His breath catches, and when you pull back, he’s staring at you like he can’t quite believe you’re real.

“I really like you,” he says suddenly, the words tumbling out in a rush.

Your grin widens, and you tug him closer, your foreheads touching. “Good,” you whisper. “Because I really like you too.”

He kisses you then, slow and sweet, and it feels like the world has finally clicked into place.

That night, as you both clean up the kitchen and settle back on the couch for another movie, it’s clear that this is just the beginning of something good—something real.

How I feel about this character

uh i mean he’s cool i guess.

no all jokes aside there are very few characters that are doing it like him.

he’s the leader of one of the most elite teams in the FBI. he’s a wet cat. he’s the epitome of traditional heterosexuality. he’s a boy kisser. he’s cold and distant. he loves his team more than anything in the world. he’s the next best profiler after gideon. he’s a massive idiot and a dork who collects coins. he’s got the skill level of a sniper/marksman. he does most of his team's paperwork so they can focus in the field. he’s no nonsense and straight laced. he seriously considered using web shooters at the FBI. he frequently catches an attitude with his boss, bigoted cops, and generally people in higher positions of power than him (and they just kind of take it). he has enough connections to get the italian government to revoke diplomatic immunity of a vatican priest. he's on a first name basis with the attorney general. he's kind of (at first) an absent father. he's a single mother of 6. he killed a man with his bare hands. he's so unbelievably gentle. he’s a white guy in a basic ass suit. he serves unprecedented levels of cunt.

what i keep coming back to is how much he cares. he cares about victims, he cares about unsubs (the ones that had justifiable reasons for being the way they are), more than anything he cares about his team.

the lengths he goes to to protect them or even just let them know he's there for them. he doesn't raise his voice, even when he's furious and when they lash out at him, he just absorbs it. aaaaaaugh. even roy, who hates his guts, he still cares about and still tries to make nice with for the sake of his son still having a grandparent in his life.

long story short i love aaron hotchner for all of his fucked up ways, big wet eyes, and self sacrificing demeanor.

am i insane for saying the whole team? poly bau has a special place in my heart. i think he should get to have several boyfriends and several girlfriends. and his boyfriends are boyfriends and his girlfriends are girlfriends and they're all just happy.

hotchley before the divorce was so sweet :( i have such mixed feelings though because i can see how both of them would be frustrated with the other.

jessica brooks. im being so serious she stepped up in a way that very few others did. her offering to look after jack after hailey dies, staying with him when hotch gets called away, defending him against roy. also their banter is wonderful they r sooo siblings to me.

him and garcia are a very close second. obviously her and morgan are It but we gotta start putting some respect on him and garcia because

My unpopular opinion about this character

i mentioned this in someone else’s ask about unpopular HCs but i dont think he’s this #daddydom character in bed that people write him as. (disclaimer, headcanons are headcanons and im not bashing them, this is just what i think)

i can see him being dominant in bed (tho im a sub!hotch truther) but i dont think he’d go in for sadism or degrading or anything like that. given his childhood abuse, i cant imagine he’d enjoy hitting his partner or making them cry (even if it is consensual). in the show, he's very overtly gentle, especially with the people he loves.

i also dont think he’d enjoy a big age gap relationship with a subordinate either (i also see this being floated around). my man is a stickler for the rules and if theres a fraternization policy, i doubt he’d break it. im aware i sound like a massive hypocrite bc i ship him w the team but im mainly talking about x reader pairings here.

i was actually gonna put a different headcanon here but i saw a stepdad!hotch x reader fic and i,,, just,,, no. again write whatever you want but he Would Not Fucking Do That lmao.

Summary: Deku and his newly official boyfriend Shinsou are enjoying a peaceful afternoon together until a particular insect tries to foil their plans. Luckily, Shinsou is determined to take the wasp down...and keep Deku right where he wants him at the same time.

A/N: I wanted something cute and fluffy, and who do I go to when that happens? My OTP ShinDeku of course! I love these boys so muuuuch, and I love writing silly, lighthearted fics with them. Enjoy! 💖

It was quiet. And warm. And peaceful.

There were no villains attacking. No training sessions. No loud classmates (though of course Deku loved them all very much). It was just him and this blanket in the grass under the tree, basking in the warmth of the early summer sun and the breeze that cooled his face.

Fingers brushed his, tentatively lacing together.

Deku smiled and turned to look at the boy beside him, sharing in this moment with a soft smile of his own.

Shinsou. His Shinsou.

After all these months of hedging, seeing how they felt about each other, and figuring out if they were serious, it was official. Deku and Shinsou were dating. Dating! Proper boyfriends. The thought still made the greenette’s chest feel warm and fuzzy.

“This is nice,” Shinsou said so softly it was almost a whisper. He clearly didn’t want to ruin the moment.

Deku hummed in agreement. “Yeah, it is.” Then, because he was feeling bolder now that they were official, he leaned over and kissed him tenderly, squeezing his hand where their fingers laced together.

Shinsou brushed his free hand over his cheek, his thumb caressing Deku’s cheekbone in that way that the smaller boy loved.

Deku loved a lot of things that Shinsou did. He was beginning to feel that he just loved Shinsou in general, but…maybe it was too soon to be feeling that way.

Still feeling emboldened, the greenette shifted closer, intending to gradually wiggle his way on top of his boyfriend for more kissing and enjoying each other’s company, but he let out a squeak of surprise when Shinsou beat him to it, rolling him onto his back and loosely straddling his hips, smiling down at him mischievously.

Deku blushed furiously and giggled. “Oh, hello~”

“Hi,” Shinsou murmured, then went back to kissing him, and Deku braced his hands on his shoulders, content to take whatever was offered to him.

Until a buzzing noise snapped him out of his trance.

Shinsou pulled away, frowning with concern. He had to have felt the way Deku tensed up all of a sudden. “What’s wrong? Is this okay?”

“It’s fine – it’s great! I do want to, but I hear a…” And then he saw it, hovering dangerously around Shinsou’s wild hair. “There’s a wasp!”

“Hmm?” Shinsou, amazingly, hadn’t seemed to notice until now. He turned to face the creature head on, then gave it a bored look and waved his hand in its direction. “Shoo.”

Deku gasped. “You can’t just shoo it! They’re not like bees, they’ll sting you just because they can! Because they’re mean!”

“I’m meaner than some dumb wasp,” Shinsou replied with a smirk, shooing it again as it got closer a second time. “I can be downright villainous, if you haven’t already heard the rumors.”

Deku rolled his eyes. “We’ve been over this. You’re not a villain—”

“To humans,” Shinsou emphasized. “I definitely can be to bugs, though. Especially wasps that won’t let me love on my boyfriend.” He swatted more forcefully this time. “Begone, demon!”

When the wasp again moved in, looking angrier this time, Deku moved to sit up and help. “I’m sure there’s something in the basket that can help—”

“You stay put,” the purple-haired boy demanded gently, poking his ribs to emphasize his point. “I’ll do battle this time. You do enough fighting, Izuku.”

Deku collapsed to the ground, giggling at the ticklish poke to his ribs. “B-But I don’t want it to sting you—”

Shinsou grinned. “It won’t.” Then he poked him again, repeatedly this time, switching to gentle scribbling within just a few seconds to hear more of his boyfriend’s bubbly giggles. “And I won’t let it sting you, either. I’ve got this, babe.”

“Shihihihinsou!” Deku whined, smiling and snickering at the gentle onslaught, torn between wanting to help with the wasp and wanting to lay back and let his partner take care of it – and him – like he promised.

“Back, evildoer!” Shinsou growled at the determined insect, eyes scanning their picnic remains for something to aid in his quest. “In hindsight, probably should have put the basket a little further away from us just in case.”

“It’s clohohohohosed!” Deku offered.

“Sure, but it still has leftovers in it – back, I say!” Shinsou somehow continued to swat at the wasp that kept coming for him while continuing to scribble and poke along Deku’s ribs and sides. He was so distracted with the battle at hand he didn’t notice he wasn’t encountering resistance from his boyfriend whatsoever.

The wasp went straight for his face, forcing Shinsou to fall off of his straddling position to defend himself. Before he could recover, Deku was lunging for the basket and grabbing one of their used containers.

Shinsou snatched it out of his hand and pushed him back down playfully, grinning as he hopped on top of him again and slipped his hand under his shirt to tickle his belly directly.

Deku squealed and arched his back, bursting into another round of airy giggles despite himself. “I’m tryihihihihing to hehehehelp!”

“Well stop it. I’ve got this,” Shinsou replied, winking to show he wasn’t entirely serious.

For a few moments, Shinsou swatted at the offending insect with the empty container, unsure how to make use of it in this situation but determined to find a way nonetheless. Then he managed a lucky hit and pounced on the opportunity, reaching for several used napkins in the picnic basket and using them to create a barrier between him and the stinger as he crushed the wasp once and for all, throwing it in the container and closing it up just to be sure.

Deku was propped on his elbows when Shinsou turned back to him, and after a long moment the greenette smirked and teased, “My hero~”

Shinsou lunged for him, grabbing his hips and tickling with 100% focus now, making Deku screech and toss his head back with happy laughter.

“I told you I had him,” Shinsou teased right back, his grip on his partner tight to ensure he didn’t roll away. “No wasp can stand up to my power!”

“YOHOHOHOHOU DIDN’T KNOHOHOHOHOW WHAT TO DOHOHOHOHO WITH THE CONTAHAHAHAHAHAINER!!” Deku shot back at him.

“Neither did you!” Shinsou laughed, straddling his thighs now to keep him firmly in place. “I figured it out, didn’t I? The wasp is dead, long live the wasp killer!”

“YOU’RE RIDIHIHIHIHIHICULOUS!!”

“What happened to ‘my hero?’”

“YEAH, WELL, LOHOHOHOHOHOOK WHERE THAHAHAHAHAT GOT MEHEHEHE!!”

Shinsou smirked and snatched up his boyfriend’s wrists, pinning them above his head and leaning in so close to his face their noses brushed. “Oh yeah?”

Deku squeaked, grinning despite his nerves, knowing he was screwed now but determined not to crumble. “Y-Yeah.”

“Feel like rephrasing that little sentiment, Izuku?” Shinsou’s free fingers traced along Deku’s hipline, making the greenette whine and giggle in anticipation.

“It’s t-true, though,” he managed, before being thrown back into hysterics with his arms trapped and unable to defend himself this time. He laughed and arched his back and tried turning his face away from his boyfriend’s evil grin, but Shinsou followed him wherever he went with kisses and gentle bites and teasing words that only made Deku feel even more ticklish.

It wasn’t quiet or peaceful anymore.

But with Shinsou, Deku didn’t mind even a little bit.

WELL!

Yes, I'm a sucker for "Morally grey one that will do anything for their lover and Sunshine one". And yes, on the former, it is because I love seeing how they are soft for their One Person. Will kill for that one person, hands on sight, they adore them desperately. Absolutely.

But on the latter, my favorite part is when the Sunshine snaps. When the one that everyone is like "hey he's such a nice guy, what's up" yeah when THAT ONE acts out, oh I love it. I always hate when the Sunshine one is like... I hate to say this, but people usually write them to be stupid or naive in such a dumb way. Like they have no feelings or can't understand shit except to be Sweet stupid and there to Balance the first guy. "Cinnamaroll" 🙄

Meanwhile, Sunshine is that way because they WANT to be, or because they're holding shit in. Like, my man from EEAAO- it's a choice to behave in this manner! And when they snap you realize, oh damn, there's a reason this guy is with the other one, and it's not because they balance! They're more similar than we could ever realize, they Understand each other. He too will do anything! They're both crazy! I love watching Sunshine figure out their emotions and go through it the same way the other one is going through it.

what's the origin of your blog title?: I have a taste for toxic characters, and i was hastily picking a url that would give me more anonymity. this old buzzword floated into my head from 15 yrs ago--I get a kick out of buzzwords that fizzle out so fast they become associated with a very specific point in time. I got the URL on an impulse and figured I could change it once I thought of the perfect url.... Meanwhile I've had plenty of asks and stalkers who themselves embody the old buzzword's meaning: the way a veil of anonymity emboldens hate and toxicity. I just wanted my veil to write porn, man.

favorite fandoms: impossible to say. too many factors.

OTP(s) + shipname: Michael Myers & Corey Cunningham (cunningmyers). it's a deep and fucked up bond, very dark and sexually charged. (Cue father figure 🎶) In my HCs I don't imagine anything soft, affectionate, or monogamous. it's pining and worship from Corey, dominance and dark energy from Michael and his monster cock. And when they kill together, god I love that.

favorite color: depends. My electronics & cases are blue, and I like to wear soft blues. also brown and olive green to wear. Black & salmon/peach: god tier combo.

Unexpected OTP Pairings ✨

❥ Okay I know Valentine’s Day was last week! Almost two weeks ago! But recently I’ve been wanting to branch out a bit with my blog writing, & writing prompts are something I love a lot! So, I’m trying something new & came up with a few OTP ideas! I hope you enjoy, thank you & have fun!

Former! Villain x Superhero

Not even a real villain, just some dumb person who steals things or who makes evil schemes that always fail. Kind of like Dr. Doofenshmirtz, & they’re actually really nice in real life! But when a superhero comes to stop them, they instantly fall in love! Seriously has heart eyes & doesn't pay any attention to the hero’s grand pre-fight speech.

Or doesn’t put up a fight at all, just hands them the stolen goods & escapes. Leaving Hero completely confused as the Villain they were supposed to stop didn’t even bother fighting, which is still good but they’re still confused.

After this, the Villain now decides to become a Superhero!! To not only impress their new crush but also because they've always really wanted to be one anyways! It was just the push they needed.

Cue them now running the streets in a completely different outfit trying their best to stop the bad guys! Usually, it doesn’t end well though: they’ll trip over the air & let them escape, or maybe just show up late to the fight & it’s already over.

It’s even worse when their Hero crush joins the fray, and then they’re really clumsy or just start sputtering like an old car. Their former henchmen, now turned sidekicks, try to console them as they lay on the couch completely embarrassed by their feats.

Oooooor, they are super confident & much better at being a superhero than they ever were being a Villain. Maybe this confidence goes to their head a bit & will literally try flirting with Hero on the battlefield! Hero gets a bit embarrassed sometimes & their other super-friends tease them about it. If this does happen, Hero might end up trying to run away from the former Villain in an effort to focus on their job. But it just ends up being really funny to watch.

Bonus: They have opposite powers or maybe one has no powers at all.

Dashing Thief x Friendly! Detective

I'm sorry this one is a bit short!

A notorious thief with a heart of gold who only ever steals from bad guys & acts more as a Robin Hood character than any. Hardly ever keeps anything for themselves; just struts around after dark on the lookout for anything suspicious. Not one person has been able to catch them & their identity remains a mystery. Would be cool if they were a nobleman/woman or had some kind of big fancy hideout. 

The detective is actually their friend/partner (maybe)! The good egg who actually sees the thief’s true intentions instead of just mucking around in a Halloween costume. Although they're pretty ticked at the way Thief does things, they usually keep their coworkers & the boss off Thief's trail. Maybe a newbie or an intern at the detective agency, determined to prove themselves on the field. 

Maybe they met as civilians & the thief switched to a disguise to hide from authorities, but bumped into the detective who was out on a coffee break. It was love at first sight for both of them, so cute! 😆 They do a lot of coffee dates now, but sometimes Detective overdoes it.....

One is the brains, and the other is the brawn. Together they can get any job done! The Detective’s coworkers find it strange how the Thief shows up more often when they're specifically on the job. The Boss is suspicious but sometimes finds them cute.

Often swing by each other’s places to not only hangout but help each other with cases or special kinds of info. If the Thief has any sidekicks, no doubt they’ll spill funny stories of missions gone wrong or close calls. 

Stealing each other's hats and impersonating the other one for fun, then cue a playful chase scene around the room! So cute!

Dragon x Wizard

I know some people like fantasy stuff!

A dragon is resting in their cave until they hears footsteps at the entrance. But instead of finding a grumpy old knight, they find a wizard! Maybe the Wizard was exploring the caves nearby or on a journey to the next town, but instead of feeling scared or angry, they started fangirling/fanboying over the dragon instead! 😆

Likes to ask them all sorts of questions & sometimes can’t stop talking. Now Wizard can come whenever they like & the two become friends!

The Wizard visits whenever they can, showing off all sorts of new spells or potions they've created. Even though it might not be as impressive as their fire, the Dragon still finds it cool & applauds.

The Dragon will always try to impress their wizard friend with tall tales of each piece of treasure. How they got it, where they found it, if they fought anyone over it, etc. But sometimes those stories are exaggerated…

The Wizard will be in absolute awe at the Dragon’s stories & can’t help but be a complete chatterbox about it. Asking more questions about different things like how their magic works, how they can fly with all that extra weight, or if they can learn a fire-breathing spell from them instead—

If the Wizard lives in a tower then the Dragon will visit just as frequently! Usually it’s in the early morning or during sundown when there are fewer people around. But if the Wizard lives in a town or city, it might take some time for the Dragon to come around. It’s not that they don’t care, but dragons are more solitary creatures. Either way, they enjoy each other's company & the dragon likes to ask questions about different thingamabobs on the Wizard's shelves.

They can both be pretty clingy but that’s sometimes a bit tough to handle because the poor wizard has to be extra careful, especially with pouring bottles or waving their wand around if they’re not even two feet apart. Doesn’t mind but sometimes will complain a bit if their partner won’t stay cooperate.

Extra Duo!

Since I loved the superhero one a lot I thought of another one: what if a Hero’s Sidekick & a Villain’s Henchman fall in love!

The Henchman does end up giving Sidekick any tips about their next plan. Cue the Villain throwing a tantrum in their lair wondering why the Hero is always one step ahead of them. 😅

They like to hangout in civilian settings together! Bonus if they found out their secret identities on accident lol

Extra Bonus if the Henchman or both villains become heroes at the end!

let's see where I ramble, huh? There is no plan here? This is mostly just season 1 stuff because that's where I am in my very slow attempt at fic writing.

They very much have a Lois and Clark vibe to me and that is one of my foundational OTPs, so.

She's too smart and sharp for almost everyone else she's ever met but that is in fact what he likes about her. He's deeply impossibly committed to actually being nice and kind and doing the right thing ALL THE TIME without any ability to tell how that's even more unusual than his superpowers absurd good looks and physical abilities and she recognizes that about him.

Ricky is not subtle about his crush on Esther, but he is completely respectful about it. He texts her whenever he has a thought, but that's because he wants her thoughts back, not because he's trying to make her think about him, if that makes sense?

I spent most of the first campaign being very 'she likes him back?' but not sure if I really thought that based on anything she was doing, or I thought that was how the story was being built/structured and it was just gonna... happen. And I was honestly fine with that because Brennan and Zac have such good chemistry, plus the aforementioned respect in approaching the relationship, so I was just gonna take what I got and be happy about it.

BUT on a rewatch (or transcript re-read on the wiki) it becomes increasingly obvious surprisingly early that she is INCREDIBLY KEYED IN ON RICKY AT ALL TIMES and it makes me *pterodactyl screech* a lot A LOT A LOT:

See how quickly she responds to all his texts every time! In group settings even if she hasn't said anything lately she'll usually answer a Ricky-question before anyone else can! She legitimately seems to enjoy figuring out how to rephrase things she's said that were too academic for him to follow!

Like, she's not just humoring him, she is in fact interested in how his mind works and the way he feels his way around information whether or not he understands it in at all the way that she does.

Usually not, obviously, but that doesn't mean his perspective isn't valuable to her.

And also funny, sometimes entirely on purpose, which is again a Lois/Clark thing because Clark is absolutely a bit of a troll about making terrible Superman jokes for no one except himself and eventually also Lois, and Ricky and Esther give me the same "we're in this nonsense together" vibes whenever Zac managed an especially good dumb-but-hilarious-and-not-actually-stupid Ricky line.

I guess what I'm getting at there is that, even beyond the quality chemistry and adorkableness, they genuinely enjoy each other's company, yk? They like each other even when there's an invisible barrier that the audience (and Ricky) can only sort of tell is there that prevents a deeper relationship/understanding during s1.

There's a really good line in a fic, tenets of devotion by fensandmarshes: "[Ricky] took his Oath of Redemption to the world; he took Devotion to Esther, he thinks, no matter that that’s not really a thing." which is I think incredibly accurate and is a thing I am weak for, the conscious deliberate explicit choice to devote yourself to a person because they are perfect for you (even if you are completely aware of their supposed flaws and weaknesses and humanity at the same time). THEY'RE BOTH JUST SO COMMITTED Y'ALL, I'M LOVE THEM.

While I have no problem with inter-party romance and am deeply fond of battle couples and all that stuff, I do think it's important that Esther is not an active party member, and while incredibly competent at it, is not explicitly designed for combat in the same way the PCs are, because despite his skillset, Ricky is pretty damn conflict adverse personality-wise, so it's nice his partner is a research nerd and not usually a combatant.

Because Ricky never wanted a blade. He accepted the Questing Blade but he didn't choose it, it chose him. (Obviously his weapon-searching-arc in s2 makes me feral. Someday I will manage fic about it, hopefully?)

This is a recurring theme in TUC actually, that except for Cody who is definitely the other side of that coin on purpose (sorry not sorry) most of the PCs and their primary NPC friends/relatives/whatever did not go looking for magic or power, but DID accept the responsibility once it happened. (This adds a nice depth to their relationship, the fact that part of why they're careful getting together is that sense of responsibility, so I'm including it here even though it's more about the setting/campaigns rather than Ricky/Esther specifically.)

They have not even been on a date and her curse is broken and they are immediately "let's live a dangerous life together" aka they are my favorite kind of batshit, 100/10, no notes

(I mean, obviously I have a lot of notes. I have all these things I just wrote down, and a fic about the almost-year before s1, and one about the campaign itself from Esther's POV, and a thing about Ricky cataloguing all the ways he'd broken the tenets of his Paladin Devotion Oath as part of his transition to Redemption, and a thing that takes place between campaigns that is mostly smut and crying for probably obvious reasons, and a s2 epilogue mostly about the proposal, (not currently anything during s2 unlike Esther's POV for s1, but I suppose that might change if I ever figure out the stuff that takes place before it), and possibly an AU where the curse wasn't broken before the final battle so when Ricky dies, Esther falls, and an entirely different Curse Breaking Thing After That, so.

So many notes.)

Some other platonic Ghosts pairings that weren't on that poll but I think are cool:

Alberta and Sasappis: They often play off each other in group scenes because they're both absolutely thirsty for drama, which I think is an interesting dynamic because while Sass gives me the impression that he really only cares about drama because he's bored out of his mind and just wants some excitement, Alberta seems like she's just... like that. I'd love to see more one-on-one interaction between them. Also I thought it was so funny when they were both brought in as the two people who could provoke Thor the easiest.

Alberta and Isaac: Pony and Bangs! The Crash episode and their amateur investigation was really fun. And the best part about it is how after Isaac confesses to stealing Crash's head, hiding it and then forgetting about it for months (truly the most evil thing anyone on this show has done, Isaac is genuinely awful in every way but he makes me laugh), Alberta is appalled for a moment and then Isaac is like "But it was fun to investigate together... right? 🥺" and she goes LOL yeah it was let's do it again sometime. They both suck. I Iove them together.

Flower and Nancy/the basement ghosts: The cholera ghosts mourning Flower when she disappeared was such a nice moment, genuinely. Now, like with most media I'm not here to complain, I'm just along for the ride the creatives decide to take me on, but if I could identify one thing I think was a serious writing misstep on this show, it would be the Nancy/Owls throuple fakeout - because Flower got upset on Nancy's behalf because she's her friend, but then she turns around and adds Nancy to the relationship even though she doesn't seem into her romantically, just kind of using her to punish Thor, which is not something a friend would really do? Idk, it was just a very confused moment, writing-wise (But Flower and Thor are still my OTP, be mad I guess) I would love to see the friendship between Flower and Nancy mended, and if that bridge is burnt then I would love to see Flower interact with the other named basement ghosts.

I used to follow you but I couldn't handle the hate and the negativity anymore. But still think you have a great blog.

Do you think you'll be able to go back to the way things were before if Tommy isn't in season 8?

Okay, look, I add that tag to everything I make that mentions the relationship because I'm not talking about it as someone who likes it and I want to give people the chance to not see that if they enjoy bt and still want to follow me. I tag things for people to block the tag just as much as I do so that people can find them. Most of those posts are me responding to asks. According to jet black code only 10 of those aren't asks. You think I'm posting too much hate and negativity? You have no idea how much negativity I filter. I have over 300 asks in my inbox right now. Some days I wake up to people calling me a bitch, telling me I'm delusional, that I'm just an entitled white woman who's just mad I don't get to fetishize Buck and Eddie, that I should just stop being here at all with much more colorful language, that I'm homophobic, that I could never possibly begin to understand the complexities of the bt with my tiny woman brain. Then I will admit I go a bit overboard the negative comments about them. Because I don't believe the relationship is anything groundbreaking but I keep getting hate about it and I am petty. But I answer to a fraction of to the shit I get and I have blocked people because they take things too far while hating on Tommy. A lot of those lately are reporting on the chaos that's been created in the fandom. It's an aspect of the show and I tag as anti because I am not a shipper. And I like getting those because I'm being attacked for not shipping them since April and I'm not gonna lie, I was feeling like I was losing my mind, I like talking to the side of the fandom who are not impressed with him. If, when he goes away from the show, people stop calling me names I will happily never talk about him again. I still make my sets, I write my fics, I make my videos, I write my metas. But I am also someone people like to talk about the relationship because I don't ship it and I won't take that away because we have nice discussions. Will things ever go back to the way they were before this mess? Probably not. But it will cool off on both sides eventually once Tommy isn't around. You can blacklist the anti bucktommy tag. You can blacklist "i really need a tag for asks" that's my ask tags. You can just search on tumblr as whole "otp: you don't need to pretend with me" if you just want to see my buddie stuff and don't want to follow me anymore because apparently I'm the only blog on that tag. When did you start writing?

Hm, I think I started writing ever since I was 9. It was at first just a little children's book. I've always liked drawing and writing, and coming up with crazy things, lol.

I loved taking Creative Writing class when I was 17, and that's when I also started writing my own original novel.

Writing fanfiction, I started about a year ago, with Hogwarts Legacy. I just had a couple ideas and decided to just give it a shot and write them. Now, I'm still writing HL fanfics and enjoying it so much :]

Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?

Ummm, I'm not sure. Maybe enemies to lovers as I personally don't think I can write that wonderful trope well. But I love to see it, like Zutara, lol.

Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?

No, as I write with my own style. I might be inspired by works of others sometimes, but I intend to make stories with my own take and my own way.

Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?

Well, if I write at my home, I usually do it at my desk! Per my name, I have some dragon stuff on my desk, lol, as well as a ceramic cup of pens and pencils and a lamp.

If I feel bored at my desk, I would move to the kitchen table or the living room, just to have a change of scenery. I also sometimes go to a coffee shop and camp there for a few hours while drinking mochas and such.

What's your most effective way to muster up a muse?

I often listen to songs and think of which pairs or characters fit them. And even when I watch a show or movie, I find myself wondering what characters from HL would be like in it, hahaha.

So honestly...the most effective way is just me lost in thought XD. I have one interesting thought, then I keep following that thought, and it just builds up in there. And my creativity has me start to write it.

Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?

Family is huge in my writing. Whether it's blood family or - more frequently - found family. Also friends that are like family. And just being supportive and having healthy relationships. Wonderful happy love and fluff everywhere!

It doesn't surprise me, lol. I don't like sad endings or anything too depressing. I can't handle it, and I always want happy endings after many rough trials or trauma.

With Sebastian, I always have him redeemed when he's in a relationship with my MC Estelle. And she needed healing of her own too. And they just make each other so happy and they love each other so much. All the fluff for them and my other otps :]

What is your reason for writing?

It's mainly because I wanted to a certain story and didn't see it out there, so I decided to write it myself. In doing so, I hope that others enjoy the stories too.

Anyone that's seen the majority of my incorrect quotes or read some of my stories know I'm a huge shipper of Garrelda. I love them to bits, I'll forever captain that ship if need be, lol. So, when HL fics were still coming out, I didn't any (if at all) or Poppinis. I decided to give it a shot and write for those pairings, more of Poppinis at first. I loved Poppinis as a ship first before I fleshed out my take on Garrelda more.

In the end, I write stories that I randomly get inspired to write, and I just send them out there, not knowing if others wanted to read such a thing, lol

Is their any specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating?

Any positive comment showing love for the story just makes me so happy. Seeing them appreciate it always makes me smile. Those comments help me remember people do like what I write, and it's a nice reminder :]

How do you want to be thought about by your readers?

Eh, I don't know if there's anything I want to be thought about. But I guess a "provider" of Garrelda content, as I often write that pairing, especially with my recent on-going fic. Or just a "truly writing dragon", lol, as I keep sending out more stories for people to read in the HL fandom.

What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?

I think writing emotions and characters. I try to make the characters feel real, and I do my best in describing them so they're relatable to readers.

How do you feel about your own writing?

I feel like it's improving, which is great to see. But that makes me grimace about my first fics I wrote, as I know they can be a bit rough. But that's how it goes, and I do feel pretty proud of how far I've come, and I do like my writing more from time to time. I admittedly am still my worst critic, though.

911 has been on my dash lately and it's what I needed, I'm glad I started watching. Someone close to me is dying and the show has been oddly healing.

911 is definitely a soap opera, and the occasional Christian sentiments and acts of god probably hit better with Americans than with me, but it's a show with touching ruminations about life, death, healing, tragedy, love, family, and what it means to be an individual and part of a community. What we owe each other, and what we don't.

I'm in season 3 now and I'm pleasantly surprised by how queer friendly the narratives are. Henrietta has an amazing presence on the show, so too does Buck. (Some of the writers worked on Buffy and Angel and I do think it explains the character driven arcs, easy queerness, and quirky humour). I love all the main characters. How could I not? So much time has been spent filling them in and much of the Drama is used to say something greater about how to move through the Belly of the Whale rather than existing gratuitously to cause rifts between the characters. It's just... nice.... and a rare choice for a show.

The Queerness comes with a caveat, however, US shows are a bit predictable in how they write queer characters. Hen can be one of the mains but her wife can't. Michael and Josh can exist on screen as long as they are side characters and only mention their love lives once a season. Buck can have an incredibly homoerotic relationship with his best friend (Buck: best friend and codependent co-parent) but can only voice his sexuality in later seasons (even if he's very bisexual now and I'm only on season 3). Buck is a beautiful young manly man you see, we mustn't alienate the young men whose demographic he's supposed to represent (sorry for the cynicism).

Really though, 911's relationship writing is top notch except for when it comes to Buck or Eddie's love interests. With the exception of Buck and Maddie, their characters' best relationships are either with each other or with Christopher and I can see why Buddie is such a popular ship. It's more obvious, too, when the romantic storylines are as good as they are for the other characters (and I'm hard to please). It's like the writing is super thoughtful about why a romantic relationship works for everyone else but keeps forcing it with Eddie and Buck because they want the pretty young men to be with the pretty young women. Buck's best love interest was Abby because they were trying to explore why it worked even though it was obvious it eventually wouldn't, that was in season 1 and I don't see it getting better. Look, all I'm going to say is that multiple partners only work when all parties know they're in a romantic relationship. That way you can be honest and mindful about how committed you are. Maybe that's why their relationships don't work now. Buck and Eddie don't realise they're dating each other.

Anyway, thank you Tumblr for bringing this show to me at this time in my life. Also, if you're interested, my otp is Maddie and Chimney. Don't tell me if they don't work out or you'll make me cry.

Favorite thing about them: Her backstory,,, It's just a masterpiece, for me it's really the peak of bsd's writing. “We don't want your skill. We want that kindness of yours” and “You don't need a skill at all. There's real value in your sadness.” ueueueueueueue. In two chapters it made of a relatively flat character a complex and human one, and we love to see that.

Least favorite thing about them: Nothing, she's great??? I can't think of anything.

Favorite line: There's no line that hits me in particular I can think of, but I really like the emotion / delivery of some of them. This one I like tons:

brOTP: Aaaaahhh I love her I want to see her interact with everyone. Older-sister kind of characters are ALWAYS my favourite. I love her dynamics with Ranpo and I like to think they have this sort of sibling complicity of two people who have known each other for a very long time and love each other deeply. I like her relationship with Fukuzawa, I like how explicitly protective he is of her, I'm glad she has someone she can trust who looks after her and makes her feel loved. (Actually, the Yosano / Fukuzawa relationship makes me emotional. Because Yosano was so deeply traumatized and broken and basically dead when he took her under his wing, and she looks so healthy and confident and serene in the canon timeline, it's basically a miracle; and the only way this could have happened is by having someone who deeply loved and cared for her, someone who kindly guided her through every step of rehabilitation. It moves me a little). I really enjoyed her interactions with Atsushi!! And I like to think Yosano and Kyouka would hang out, I feel like Yosano would be happy to sort of return the favour and help back a little girl who was able to slip out of the darkness just in time; I can see them have this kind of inter generational relationship where they go shopping together and chat about girl things.

OTP: I really like kousano!!! I feel like Yosano deserves her spicy pm love affair too ahah. I think it's got lots of potential for both fluff and angst, and I believe it's a cool relationship to explore for both characters!! I wish they'd meet in canon. When I first watched the anime I was low-key into ranposano, and though I don't feel very strongly about them anymore, I think it's a nice ship nonetheless!

nOTP: Nothing. Really I don't dislike ships pffttt.

Random headcanon: Something I don't think I ever brought up but that I firmly believe in is that whereas all the other ada members live at the ada dorms, Yosano, Ranpo and Fukuzawa have their own house where they live together. Fukuzawa took Ranpo to his home when he adopted him, and then Yosano joined them when they took her in because I mean, there was no way that they could leave her alone, right? So they've always lived together, and they are happy together, they never felt the need to change that. That's the real ada found family for me if there ever was one. Really like deconstructing the idea of nuclear family or of the fact that children can't live with their parents as adults while still being independent. Also it just makes sense? And it's heartwarming to think that Fukuzawa, the lone wolf with no friends of relations, now lives in a happy and lively household.

Unpopular opinion: Yosano existing isn't enough to beat the bsd being sexist allegations, I'm so sorry everyone I wish that was the case.

And this is a difficult question because it's complicated... I'm sticking to my belief that Sam and Dean are in a queerplatonic relationship, which would fall under the gencest umbrella. BUT some QPRs involve a sexual relationship so I'm very very open to weirdcest because it still feels platonic to me even if they have sex.

As far as wincest goes, I end up reading fully wincest fics a lot because 1) they take up the majority of ao3 tags centered around samdean and 2) they show off how weird the boys really are and more often than not, I can think of it as weirdcest in my mind.

So, am I shipping wincest? Not actively. You won't see me writing or drawing wincest. Will I keep reblogging wincest stuff? Probably yes. But I still prefer them being all platonic and weird.

So gencest-weirdcest is my OTP and wincest is maybe somewhere within my top 10 ships of the show or something.

On another note, I do identify with the term "wincestie" because I do love this part of the fandom. Everyone is so nice with each other ;; I'm very scared of stepping out of this space.

How I feel about this character One of my faves! I love him to bits, both him as a character and his role as a narrative device in the story, and he's absolutely one of the characters I get protective over. My other Silm faves can get bullied and misinterpret by fandom to hell and back and it's whatever, they can take it; I may block if someone's too annoying, but I will mostly just ignore. Maeglin, though? My hackles go up and the block button is engaged, on sight XD

All the people I ship romantically with this character If we're talking strictly canon? No one. (Maybe an OC to my exact specifications -- and I have a lot of those lmao -- post-canon, in a 4th Age/reincarnated setting? But I haven't really put any serious thought into it.) I can, potentially, ship him with Idril, if Idril is a very different version of her canon self -- more sensitive, intuitive, empathetic, and possessing far less of the qualities I find distasteful in her canon portrayal. Basically, the way @ruiniel writes it; if Rui is writing this relationship, I'm 100% running on board; blindfolded, too XD

My non-romantic OTP for this character Oooh, that's tough. Hmm. I suppose probably Celebrimbor, given their similar backgrounds/interests/story arcs, there's a lot to dive into there. I also really enjoy him with Maedhros and Mairon, but both of those are much more mentor/older brother/father figure types of relationships to me than as equals so they feel slightly different than what I would term a non-romantic OTP.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. One (1) nice thing. That's all -- even just one, that's free of other people's strings or fate or whatever you want to call it; just one to be his alone. Even the so-called "good" things that happen to him (going to Gondolin, rising in status, etc.) are riddled with tragedy and built on grief. Ideally, I wish he'd find happiness, but this is the Silmarillion so; let's not be unreasonable here XD

I've already ranted here in greater length about how I love that Kenjaku is a canon trans villain and how their queerness isn't the reason/motivation for their villainy, but I think just in general my favorite thing about them is the inspiration they give me for art.
