Hello! Can I please make a request for some heavily angsty headcanons for Vergil about his s/o being Mundus' daughter and her also being Nero's mother?
Absolutely!
Vergil x Mundus's Daughter!Nero's mother!Reader headcannons
-Because of the stuff your dad (Mundus) put him through, Vergil was very wary of you when you first met, which was likely in Hell.
-He gave you the cold shoulder most of the time, not wanting to get involved with someone related to his greatest tormentor.
-Through perseverance and by trying very hard to demonstrate how you're not going to hurt him, you managed to prove yourself to Vergil, convincing him that you're not like your father and that you only wanted to help him escape.
-Obviously, your dad knows everything that goes on and was aware of your attempts to make Vergil open up to you. He didn't care at first, thinking you were just having some fun with the half-demon, but then he saw how your relationship was becoming more and more serious, and heard you talking with Vergil about leaving.
-It's an understatement to say he wasn't happy about the idea of you leaving, and threatened to kill Vergil if you kept contacting him.
-That was the last straw for you, and so you decided you would escape from Hell with Vergil. The journey was difficult, and both of you got injured along the way, but you made it in the end.
-After taking a few days to rest, recharge, and recover, you guys ended up drinking too much alcohol to forget the pain and eventually spent the night together. This is how you got pregnant, but you didn't know about it until much later.
-You thought that you and Vergil could go find a nice, quiet place to settle down, hopefully keep out of the public eye and maybe even get married if you were lucky, but your father, Mundus, had other plans.
-He sent some of his servants after you, convienently chosing the middle of the night to do so, forcing you to flee without even getting a chance to say goodbye to Vergil.
-You thought you could explain what happened later, when you returned, but the demons chased you out of the freaking country, and when you finally lost them, you were lost too.
-By the time you managed to sort yourself out and secure passage back to where you and Vergil were staying, he was gone. Though you didn't know it, he'd woken up in the morning, assumed you'd worked up to this point just so you could get in his pants and run away. Hurt, he immediately began packing up and left as well.
-You never got to tell him about the mortal danger you were in thanks to your father, and he had no idea about the son you were now carrying.
-Sadly, you'd hardly get any time to spend with your son either, because once he was born, your impatient jerk of a father (now a grandfather with the advent of Nero's birth) sent his demons after you again, and you were forced to leave him with an orphanage while you fled for your life, distracting the creatures from your son's existence.
-Orphanages shuffle kids around a lot, so by the time it was safe to come out and get your son back, he'd been transferred so many times, no one could remember where he went, and after years of searching, your last lead was found to be an orphanage that had burned down in a tragic accident; all records were destroyed.
-You would never have a happy family reunion until Nero was all grown up, and even then, there were misunderstandings, accusations, and a lot of explaining on everyone's part.
-Vergil was still very hurt, and for a while, refused to believe what you were saying was true. Nero was mad at you for abandoning him when he was a baby, even after you explained yourself, and gave you silent treatment for weeks. It seems that no matter what you do, the boys just won't give you a second chance. In Nero's case, the shock is damaging, and Vergil has carried resentment for years.
-There really may be no saving this family.

Concept: Atsushi with looser morals.
Atsushi was raised in an environment where the kind die first. A place where he was taught the only person you can trust is yourself.
Atsushi learned how to survive a point system that never rewarded him. He would do other kids chores, take their punishments in exchange for food.
He was raised in hell and it meant that he learned to survive by any means necessary.
Atsushi stops Junichiro and passes his entrance exam because Dazai and Kunikida were kind to him. They gave him food, shelter and saved him when no one else ever has.
He doesn’t get involved until they’re put in danger. In his eyes he was paying them back for it and the job was completely unexpected.
Obviously Atsushi accepts because where else was he gonna go with no qualifications and an ability he can’t control.
He does pay Kunikida back for the 30 bowls of tea on rice even if the other says he doesn’t need too.
As if not paying his debts ever felt like an option to him.
Atsushi doesn’t think he’s a good person. He follows the law because the Agency (sometimes) does. He helps protect the city because the Agency does.
And working with the Agency gives him shelter and money so that he can eat and thus live.
Atsushi doesn’t think he belongs with them. He’s a coward and in the end he only really looks out for himself. In his eyes he’s not a good person.
Definitely not someone worth their kindness nor their belief and trust.
When the Port Mafia comes for his bounty he runs off without a second thought. He only comes back because Kunikida calls him to come help with the clean up.
Atsushi just silently sweeps up debris dodging the questions demanding to know where he was.
He doesn’t get why they don’t just sell him out. Sure they can clearly handle the Port Mafia but the bounty would be useful to them all.
It’s not like he’s worth keeping around. Certainly not for Dazai to let himself get kidnapped for.
He’s just another ungrateful mouth to feed as the Heasmaster would call him.
And he’s not wrong because Atsushis whole life has been spent trying to survive to his next day that actually being able to live his life feels weird to him.
He doesn’t really know how too. He had no dreams ot aspirations. He never thought he’d live long enough to escape the orphanage.
Maybe he should just hand himself over? Take the cash and dip while the others use his wage for something far more useful.
Maybe find someone worth keeping around.
But Atsushi doesn’t.
Because as times go on he starts to realise that not only does the Agency care about him. But that he cares for them too.
He likes watching Dazai and Kunikida bicker. He feels a sense of comfort when Yosano asks if he’s okay. When Ranpo tells him that he did a good job.
But the real kicker is when Atsushi meets Kyouka because all his instincts scream that he should run.
But he doesn’t.
Because Yosano is counting on him to protect the trains civilians. And he doesn’t want to let her down.
Kyouka Izumi is not a civilian.
Kyouka Izumi has a bomb strapped to her chest and has killed 35 people and will probably kill him too.
The Agency might be disappointed if he took her out but they’d understand.
But Atsushi has no reason to save her, for god’s sake he can’t even save himself how can he possibly help her?
So why does he look into her eyes and see himself. He sees a survivor, he sees someone who won’t fight him back because living was never an option for her.
Well who decides that?
Who decides whether or not if a person deserves to live or die? He didn’t think he deserved too and yet he was saved.
To live your whole life thinking such a thing…isn’t living at all. Atsushi wouldn’t wish such a thing even on his worst enemy.
“I don’t want to kill anyone else”
He moves without a second thought and the next thing he knows is he’s in the Agencies infirmary.
“Why did you bring her here?”
“I don’t know! Because you told me that we help people. And she…she needed help.”
He can barely understand it himself and yet the look Kunikida gives him is both exasperated and proud.
“So you finally admit it then. Hmm, I’ll speak to the President and we’ll go from there.”
“Admit what?”
“That you’re a member of the Armed Detective Agency. You’ve finally accepted that you’re one of us.”
Oh.
Oh he did, didn’t he?
And it felt right.
And so Atsushi makes himself a promise.
That if the Agency wants him to be kind then he’ll be kind. If the Agency wants him to fight then he’ll give it everything he’s got.
If the Agency wants him to sacrifice his life he’ll do so without question.
Because Atsushi doesn’t know how to live for himself so he’ll live for them.
And if they care for this city and all those within it then he’ll treasure it.

HIII OH MY GOSH THANK YOU FOR TAKING MY REQUEST!!!! i was wondering if you could do a scenario where reader was harley sawyers kid and came back to the factory in there teens and have an awkard reunion with there dad (You dont have to do this but if you do take you're time also sorry for asking twice i thought i forgot to add teen in there but if i didnt just ignore this)
I legit think the doctor should go die like again tbh🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩❤️❤️❤️❤️⁉️😍😍
Doctor Sawyer who reunites with his kid
Tumblr media
Okay well don’t you just have the funniest family history!!
What happened was, when Sawyer found out he got his gf/wife pregnant(or jst a random lady idk😭) he was very mixed about it. Yes, he had thoughts about being an actual father, he knew he couldn’t help raise a child..in an orphanage WHERE THEY TURN THEM INTO TOY MASCOTS MIGHT I ADD?
So he was saying this in the kindest way possible, he was like
“No thank you.”
And she was like,
“Okay you ############, you’ll never see your child ever again then.”
And then she broke up or divorced him and took you into her custody, raising you as a single mother.
As you grew older you obviously wanted to know more about your father, but all she’d say was that he was a deadbeat and chose his job over his family. Which, you could understand her frustration but I’m reality, you wanted to know more than what he did wrong. What was his job? What’d he do that was so important? Was he a cat or dog person?
So once you were in your rebellion era/chapter/point in time(teenage years) you decided to dig deeper into the whole situation and go through everything your mother had owned to see if you could find any clues about him.
A few pictures of him and your mother were all you found but one photo had something you couldn’t miss.
It was him in a scientist coat with a name tag that said “Harley Sawyer, scientist of Playco.” Playco? Like where Huggy Wuggy came from, where Poppy Playtime came from? He worked there?
Honestly you’re kinda like a horror movie protagonist because the next thing you had planned was to go to Playco.
“20 bucks you won’t do it.”
“Bet.”
Boom. Now you’re at Playco, and searching for your dad. You eventually heard about the rumors of what happened to all the missing employees there but you couldn’t care less, all you wanted to know was how your father was. Or to know if he “died” with those employees or not.
And that’s where the start of Chapter one begins<3
Everything was normal(well as the chapters go), you “killed” Huggy Wuggy, you killed Mommy Longlegs, Catnap, Miss Delight, then you meet Doey. You think he talks and babies you way too much. “But you’re still just a child.” Plz shut up bro-
Then returning back with Poppy, she and Doey talked about the doctor, and they mention the name Harley Sawyer. They want him dead. And they want you to kill him, obviously you said you wouldn’t do that. Because you’re just the sweetest lil son/daughter ever<3
“Why not?”
😐
It’s not like you’re about to tell them that he’s your FATHER. They’d probably would also not like to know that also but anywho. You decided to not let your pride down and reluctantly agreed to kill the Doctor.
So much for being the sweetest ever.
But oddly enough, you’ve actually haven’t seen the Doctor or talked with him yet, only his minions Baba and Yarnaby.
Walking down the hall you used your Grabpack to open the door, you walked through it and suddenly felt something grab you. It was a robot figure with their head as a TV and it grabbed the back of your shirt, holding you so you had to face the voice that was speaking to you.
“Out of all the beings in this world it had to be you that has ruined these creations. My very own child.”
“Huh..?”
“You’ve grown so much from last I saw you, which, was when you were a mere baby. Yet I can’t help but feel angered by your presence here.”
“You're her husband? You’re going to kill me?”
“I would if it was any other child scurrying around this facility like a rat. I have no shame. Yet, I’ll let your mother do that herself. She’s treating you well, yes?”
“Mhm.”
“Good, now leave. Do not come back, and leave Poppy and Doey behind you in your life. Pretend this was all a dream. Goodbye Y/n.”
The last thing you saw was the robot throwing you out into the hall and the door slamming shut, that was awfully awkward. You smacked your head in realization to everything, how he openly admitted that you were his child. And how you couldn’t think of anything meaningful to say.
But should you listen to him?
Literally hope this isn’t dog water, readers just an insecure teenager fr

CW: Infertility (Coming from my own experience just...with a uterus.)
Thinking right now about Steve who wants his own family really bad, but finds out he's 100% infertile.
He only finds out after a failed marriage. His first marriage. Has a beautiful, wonderful, just absolutely incredible wife who accepts everything about his past—stuff he won't talk about and otherwise. Yet, the one thing they knew for certain was a definite in their relationship was children. However, for some reason (that I don't have), his wife rejects the idea of adopting children. So they try. They try and try and try.
Eventually, they get their eggs and sperm analyzed. Her eggs are healthy, her uterus is fine, no complications associated with her ovaries.
Steve, in his next visit, finds out he's infertile. It's not genetically caused. His parents were very fertile, just decided to have only one child. And—maybe due to some Upside Down bullshit; bat bites being untreated, injuries being too traumatic—his sperm production and his sperm vitality are completely destroyed.
He's devastated, of course he is. Brings it up to his wife. They agree to go their separate ways because this was something they both wanted, but now can't have.
And then he just floats about for a while. Quiet and disheartened.
He goes back to Hawkins and bumps into Eddie. Now, I'm thinking, personally, that this isn't some romance story. They're strictly platonic in this scenario (for now).
They get to talking and somewhere in the conversation, Steve's infertility comes up. Eddie tries to gently explain to him that there's other options to have children. "Foster care," he says, "it's where I was for a while. You can adopt from an orphanage, from a hospital. There's always the option for surrogacy, y'know. A lot of different"—
"Eds," Steve interrupts, "I appreciate this, but I...I don't want to talk about it anymore. It hurts too much to think about."
"Sorry," Eddie apologizes.
Steve just shakes his head, resigned. "It's not your fault," he murmurs, "guess I'm just upset that my body doesn't work the way it's supposed to."
"Not everybody's works the way it's supposed to, Steve."
"Yeah," he whispers, "but I was sorta hoping my own would."
There's a lull in the conversation. A long while of just silence and a cigarette being passed and the gentle rustle of trees around them. Outside, in the Forest Hills trailer park, staring down a set of rusted swings.
"How do you think I should handle this, Eddie?"
"Hm?"
"This...this body issue. What am I supposed to do about it? I'm, like...like grieving over nothing."
"You grieve, Steve," Eddie answer simply, "you get angry and you cry. That's all you can really do."
"I don't want to be angry, though. I want...I want to be happy. I want my dream to come true! I want"—he sighs and swallows and looks on ahead of him. To a place he once visited constantly when he still lived full-time in Hawkins, not just passing through. Out on a town that he once called home, a place where he couldn't be the person he wanted to be. Couldn't get what he needed.—"I want to love my kid in a way I never got."
And Eddie looks to him. To his profile. Shuffles closer, cigarette out on the porch. Arm wrapping over Steve's shoulders, tugging him in. "I know," Eddie whispers, "I'm sorry, Steve. I'm really, really sorry."
"It's not your fault, Eds."
"It's not yours either."
He keeps staring out. To a place that was hopeful. Where his dreams bared new. When things seemed reasonable and he could face everything head-on and knew exactly what he wanted for himself. A future of laughter and soft lullabies and hugs warm enough to soothe the world.
There'll be other chances. But not now. Not when he's like this.
"I know," he merely mutters, "I know."

Snake in the Garden
Tumblr media
Summary: You know Wesker is bad for you, but you still can't pull away from him. (Albert Wesker x reader)
Word Count: 1.8K
Notes: I stayed up to make this, I got tumblr ON MY PHONE BROWSER since I’m away from my computer and fought someone’s Mac, so here is todays post, even though I’m back from a Halloween party and tireddd. It’s a few more resi ones to round out this last week, it’s crazy that we are nearly done with this month. Warnings: manipulation and reader isn’t explicitly female but I do use a reference of reader being like Eve but it’s not strictly a gender thing more like a role thing?? Anyways enjoy my work and I’ll tidy up the last few if I need when I’m back at my PC. Much love~!
━━━━━━━━━━━━━༻❁༺━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
When you were a kid, you had always been taught by the orphanage directors to make good choices and stay out of trouble. The church next door took care of your lessons, teaching you values such as to be good and kind, and to resist temptation.
So how you ended up with Albert Wesker was completely beyond you.
Yet you couldn’t stay away, a moth to a flame. If your old church director could see you now, surely he would pull you aside and make you do bible study. But you were grown now, an adult who could make adult decisions. And Albert just so happened to be yours.
You were on the ship with him currently, while he plotted his domination of the world. You knew it was wrong, knew that his plan for the future was wrong. You weren’t very religious anymore ever since leaving the orphanage, but you couldn’t help the rhetoric that swirled around in your head.
He pretended to be a god, talked of a new age. He sat on this ship in safety as if it was an arc, while it was primed with enough virus to kill the rest of the world. Clad in his leather, gloves covering his hands and glasses over his eyes. He was the furthest thing from a god, apart from the power. But his power came to him unnaturally, a cold and eerie strength that made your skin crawl when he came close.
He was the devil, if there was a narrative, but your heart couldn’t convince your mind of that. Every time you saw him your heart fluttered disgustingly in your chest, making your pulse race. When he stopped his work, the endless scanning of documents and monitor screens, he had such a charming smile that chased the words “I think we should break up” right out of your throat. It was the way that he pressed against your back to see what you were doing, the warmth from his chest that settled into your back and relaxed your muscles instinctually. The way that you missed how his breath hit the back of your neck and fanned against your cheek when he pulled away.
You couldn’t pull away, despite how badly you wanted to. You lay awake at night, tossing in the bed that’s big enough for the two of you yet always only occupied by one.  When you wake you’d try to leave, struggle against the invisible ropes that he had wound across your heart before tightening them the next day.
“What are you up to?” You ask softly one night, wrapping your nightgown over you tighter. Your feet are clad only in thin slippers, making the chill from the ship seep into your feet. He has his back turned to you, monitors flickering with life while he stared leant forward, chin on his interlocked fingers. He hums slightly, chair spinning silently so he can look at you from the side.
“Working.”
Of course he was. He was always working, his newly enhanced body requiring very little rest. If he needed rest he would sleep in his chair, office door locked. However you still caught him in the rare occasion sliding into place next to you, arm curling around your stomach when he didn’t think you’d notice.
“What are you working on?” You ask, padding to his side. You don’t know why you decided to seek him out on a restless night, normally trying to pry yourself as far away from him to escape your heart that ached so badly for him.
“Nothing that you need to be concerned about, dear heart.” He murmurs, calculating with his gaze. “Why are you out of bed?”
You shrug. “Just couldn’t sleep.” You murmur. He hums, uncharacteristically warm. When you come to his side he snakes an arm around your waist, an action that makes alarm bells ring in your head but also makes your skin burn with excitement.
You hated the way that he had you around his little finger. You knew it, he knew it, and yet it was still a game that you both played day after day. You felt shame at the way he had trained you, starving you of affection then showering with so much that it made your heart clench. The way that your eyes would now follow him when he walked past you, to see if he would glance your way or pretend you didn’t exist. Just when you were getting run down, just when you thought that he had forgotten about you, he came back with sweet words and a softer touch.
His fingers dug into your side, dimpling the flesh with the leather of his gloves. "You should go back to bed, Dear heart" he says, voice a low rumble. His breath fans past your ear, making you shiver. "You'll get cold if you stay out here for too long. We don't want you to get sick now, would we?"
Albert always had a habit of doing that. Soon after you had both started dating, a shotgun romance in itself, he had begun getting interested in your health. Taking a look at your medical records and doctors appointments soon morphed into him conducting them himself, stating that he didn't trust other doctors with something as precious as you. That morphed into him dictating what you could do and when you go could out, Wesker worrying that you could get sick, or hurt, or something would affect the delicate balance of your system.
Precious.
That was the word that he would use when he did give you the time of day, hands stroking over your skin with rough palms. Palms that had killed and executed and committed sins that would have God paling on his throne, suddenly ghosting over your skin like you were glass. He made you feel more fragile than you were, and some days you really did feel that way.
Some days you felt like you were getting sick, despite being healthy the day before. It would be the worrying of Wesker that put the seed of doubt into your mind, suddenly displaying a symptom that he had listed earlier that morning. As soon as he caught sight of it he'd send you to bed or keep you in one of the many rooms on the ship dedicated for you, always soft and comfortable and luxurious.
It was a contrast to the bleak and military interior of the rest of the ship, a contrast of how he treated you. When you had his attention, you were royalty. When you didn't, it was like you were just another staff member.
Yet you still shake your head, half in response to him and half in shame that you let him toy with you like this, that there was a part of your heart that was so deeply in love it wanted to forget everything that he was doing. "I won't get sick," you mumble. "I'll go back to bed soon."
He raises his eyebrows above the frames of his glasses. "Are you now? What are you going to do in the meantime then?" he purrs, his voice a soft timbre that resonates through your bones. You shrug and the hand gripping your waist tightens.
"Can I stay with you?" you ask quietly. You didn't know yourself why you were seeking him out, only that your brain buzzed at the idea of staying with him a bit more, to have his eyes trained on you.
He sighs through his nose and shakes his head. "I'm afraid this work is too brash for you. Come, let's go back to bed." He pats your hip, and you look at him hesitantly.
"Both of us?" you ask softly, making him chuckle.
"Yes, both of us. I could use some time to lie down. I'll stay with you till you fall asleep if that is your concern.”
He slides you off of his lap, standing and pushing his chair back in. With a gloved hand on your back he guides you back to your bedroom. Your heart races and your head feels light at having him this close, like a drug coursing through your veins.
Your bedroom is dark, lit only by the lights from outside and a single lamp by the bed. Your sheets were tangled from the way that you had kicked them off, soft folds rippling down the side of the bed. When you crawl onto the surface, more excited to sleep than you had for ages, he bends and removes his shoes before dragging the sheets back onto the mattress.
You get situated in bed and turn the light off, sickened at yourself for getting this close to the man again. The man that wouldn't let you leave, wouldn't let you go ashore alone, who wouldn't trust you doing things you had done by yourself before meeting him. The man who had destroyed cities, taken lives, manipulated innocent people and was actively doing it still. But this was the same man who had wooed you with sweet words and false promises, who had approached you about your research into genetic structuring and played the part of a perfect crush. Tall, handsome, smart.
If the old sisters from the church could see you now, curled in the arms of a mass murderer with your heart content, you know they would be hanging their heads in shame. For following someone who was convinced that they were above mankind, but told you those words in a tone so honey coated you could have believed them to be truth.
You let those few tears you produce drip into the pillowcase, exhaling and closing your eyes. If this story was written in the Bible, you know that Albert would consider this place the arc, a safe haven in the destruction of the earth.
But you knew better.
You knew that this was the garden, with its soft beds and easy to fall into luxury, yet boxed in by high walls that were forbidden to cross. You were Eve, peaceful in the garden but curious of the world outside you. You wanted Albert to be Adam, the counterpart to Eve, but still you knew better.
Wesker was the snake that slunk down from the trees and whispered into your ear, soft and buttery sweet. Who told you honeyed words from lips that dripped with venom, eyes beady and always waiting for an opportunity to strike. You knew this, you knew better.
But every time you felt yourself recovering from the isolation of him he drew you right back, and you sank your teeth into that apple once again. You let his honeyed words wrap around your brain in a pleasant fog, completely unaware that he had sunk his fangs into your neck.

gn! Reader I no warnings I not proofread | can be read platonic and romantic
Alucard
Tumblr media
The two of you go way back, with him being the one who turned you in the first place. Maybe that's the reason it felt like a personal insult to him that you're wasting your powers on literal prey.
For ages he's repeatedly both scolded and taunted you about this contradiction - especially since he had to save you countless times when the humans you initially helped would turn on you.
Eventually you decided to become a traveler, aiding people in need wherever fate brings you. Humans tend to find out you're not one of them if you remain stationary for too long, so there wasn't really another option.
Since the invisible bond with your master preserves, you were always connected even when far apart. Truth be told, it was entertaining to watch your pathetic little attempt at keeping some sort of humanity from a distance - but he still constantly whined about you visiting him too rarely these days.
It's not until he got wind of a powerful vampire slayer making his way towards a small village you resided in, that your paths would cross again. But instead of having to step in he witnessed all of the townsfolk defending you against the attacker, even though they were aware of your demonic origins.
That experience changed his opinions on mankind drastically. In a way you made him realize that all vampires inevitably tied to mortals and in order to survive, you need to coexist one way or the other. Only because of you he started respecting them enough that his first encounter with the Hellsing organization turned out like it did.
Nowadays he's still working up the courage to ask you to join their ranks as well, but we all know he's too proud to admit his misjudgement so easily. Will come around eventually, though.
Anderson
Tumblr media
Usually his mantra is 'kill first, ask later', but when he first met you, it was impossible to fight since you were surrounded by so many children.
He's seen horrible things over the years that made him dread what you were planning to do to those innocent kids, determined to save them from your fangs. But when he secretly followed to your lair far on the outskirts of the town, he interrupted a perfectly wholesome moment of you tending to the orphans you were fostering.
The children vehemently refused to get away from you, clinging to and pleading for your life. After doing some digging amongst the townsfolk he learned that over the years you've spent here, not a single child in your care went missing. Quite the opposite, they are all flourishing. Much to his surprise the whole town even seems to be aware of what you are, but still considered you one of them.
Of course his deeply ingrained hate doesn't suddenly disappear, but this is such a huge clash of his two worlds that he can't bring himself to kill you in front of the children that love you so dearly.
So he waited, wary for you to slip up, find a moment of carelessnes to reveal your true nature to him. But that moment never came, your kind actions going against everything he thought to know about your filthy kind. And the longer he's among you, the more his aversion gets replaced by mutual admiration.
At some point he'll insist you and the children live with him at the orphanage incognito, under the pretense of surveilance or research purposes - but we all know what this truly is about

I'm not dead whoop- Just lost motivation and also didn't really have time. I don't know if I'm now fully back, but here have this one-shot... And a Mink (Ink MK) X Reader is in the making as I'm publishing this one-shot. c:

"Alright, I'll be heading home now."
"Make sure not to forget your backpack this time."
"Oh c'mon, I told you I was in a hurry yesterday, Pigsy! Anyway, see you tomorrow."
And with that, you put on your backpack and made your way over to the front door of the noodle shop. You were casually walking outside, humming a tune that's been stuck in your head the entire day... Until you noticed a little boy standing there, nude and covered in dirt, just staring at the noodle shop's bright light in awe. Confused and concerned, you glanced around the area in search for any possible parent looking for their runaway child. But there was no one even walking around the street. It was almost closing time for many people, after all.
When the boy still didn't move, you decided to take action. Slowly approaching the boy, you kneeled down to be more at his height. "Hey there, sweetie. How did you end up here like this? Are you lost? What's your name?" He looked at you, then back at the shop. Yet, he did not talk. Scratching your head in thought, you decided to approach the situation differently. "So, uh... Are you hungry? I'm sure I can let Pigsy take a bit off my paycheck for some noodles. I don't think he would turn down cooking for a kid in need."
Again, he just looked at you, then back at the shop. You sighed. This would be a fun problem to solve past closing hours. Extending your hand out towards the boy, you stood up. "C'mon, sweetie. Let me at least get you inside. I'd rather have you sit inside in the warmth than standing outside in the cold and dark once the sun is gone. I'm sure we can help find your parents."
This time, the boy looked at you, then at your hand. He hesitantly placed his tiny, kinda dirtied hand in yours and you began to slowly lead him inside the noodle shop's light.
Your boss was kind and helped you clean him up and gave him spare clothes, which looked a bit too big on the boy, then cooked up a meal for him. Sadly, you were unable to figure out what happened to him or where his parents were. You even looked outside the shop in the dark occasionally, trying to hear or see anyone who was looking for their child. But nothing came of it. Eventually, you found out the child's name and... It was really long. And since neither you or Pigsy could be bothered with saying it, you decided to nickname him MK. Your choice of the nickname was actually inspired by the legendary Monkey King, how he also had a really long name that got shortened for convenience as well.
A couple of days passed and there still was no parent looking for their child, nor was there any missing person report regarding a young boy with his descriptions...
You were basically taking care of MK during day and night, taking him home with you. At one point you suggested placing him in an orphanage, but MK only started to sob and cry, hugging your leg, not wanting to leave you. And being unable to say no, you accepted your fate. Hell, you even went the extra mile and became his legally adoptive parent with the paperwork you filled out, with Pigsy as uncle-figure of course.
As time went on, so did the years of development for your son. He moved out of your house and moved into the apartment Pigsy owned right above his shop, making him have a much easier time going to work. Meanwhile, you decided to travel through other towns all around the country, sending many little souvenir gifts and postcards over to Megapolis for MK to see, as well as keeping in touch with him through texts. And just a few years later, you heard news about various demons attacking your Megapolis, and how a boy called the Monkie Kid saved the city multiple times. Concerned, you started to travel back to the city, trying to get back as soon as you could to make sure your son and your former boss were alright.
To be honest, you arrived at a probably horrible time.
Looking at the city's skyline in the distance, you had to rub you eyes in confusion. Were you seeing this right? The city was partially covered in what seemed like giant ice shards... Did climate change really hit this area this bad the past years? It wasn't like it covered everything, but there certainly seemed to be a lot of icy remains. Shaking your head to regain focus, you proceeded with your self-proclaimed mission of checking on your son and your former boss. Cautiously making your way through Megapolis... the city seemed rather ruined. People were seemingly trying to get rid of any remaining ice as well as just generally trying to recover from whatever occurred. You were more confused if anything. What happened? Was this the aftermath of an attack of a demon you heard and read about in the news?
You then found your way back to Pigsy's Noodles. The noodle shop didn't seem to have changed at all. Upon entering, you immediately recognized some familiar and some unfamiliar faces. But the three you were most happy about to see were MK, Tang and Pigsy. You grinned, staying quiet as you leaned against the wall next to the entrance.
"MK! Order up!" Pigsy yelled out with a smile... It was certainly strange to see him smiling, but you weren't going to complain. Nice to know he was happier than when you left.
"On it, boss!" MK exclaimed as he swiftly grabbed the ordered bag. Though, as he turned to leave, his eyes spotted you... He froze, almost tripping over himself as he nearly let the noodle order fall in absolute shock. The boy simply looked at you with wide eyes... Before he started to tear up and seemingly hugged you at lightspeed. "MOM! YOU'RE BACK! I MISSED YOU! IT'S BEEN SO LONG!"
You chuckled as you tightly hugged him back, slightly tearing up yourself. "I'm home, sweetie..."
Of course, due to MK still having to go on his delivery route, he didn't have time to catch up with you just yet. However, you asked if you could join him on his delivery to catch up while he drove around. And of course, he happily agreed. Though, it was interesting to see where he went for those deliveries... The way he so casually delivered those noodles to so many demons with you... However, he was inhumanly fast at it. You were actually intrigued... What happened to your son while you were gone? Why was he suddenly so fast? Sure, he was a pretty hyperactive kid at least since you and Tang told him about the legend of the Monkey King, but this speed was new to you.
However, it wasn't until the last delivery where you were really questioning things. He had to deliver to Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King. At first you were under the assumption that he was supposed to place the delivery as an offering at his temple... You did not expect your precious baby boy to crash into a rock solid wall, apparently revealing the Monkey King's home on the other side, and creating a hole in the wall from excitement... Yeah, you definitely were missing out on major context here for sure. And if that wasn't enough, the legendary Monkey King himself was actually standing behind said wall and casually greeted your son as if it were just another day... Was this real? Didn't Sun Wukong supposedly vanish since he sealed the Demon Bull King? Was this a fake? You were actually internally freaking out at the sight of the legend himself from the stories. Though, you tried to keep calm and not squeal like a fangirl. He looked too real to be a human in a costume...
"Hey, bud!" Monkey King greeted MK before noticing you. He blinked at you in confusion. "Oh- Who's your friend?"
But before you could introduce yourself, MK hugged you excitedly from the side. "Monkey King, this is my mom! Mom, meet Monkey King!"
You awkwardly wave with a nervous, not sure if you were even allowed to be here. "Uh... h-hey."
"My mom and Mr.Tang are the reason I became a fan of your stories in the first place! She's a huge fan of you too!" MK said excitedly, which made you blush in embarrassment as you pursed your lips, mentally wanting to shut your son up from talking about you and your interests.
Monkey King couldn't help but snort at the dynamic you and your son have. He didn't even need his powers to notice the clear embarrassment and awkwardness you felt at your son's words. "Well, I'm glad to be able to meet the mother of my successor." The ginger-furred simian held out his hand for you to shake. You smiled awkwardly and hesitantly shook his hand, internally screaming that you were literally shaking hands with the Sun Wukong...
But then his words hit you and you looked at him and MK in confusion. "Wait a minute... Successor? Of the Monkey King?" You gave MK a slight glare. "He didn't tell me anything about that..." Your son laughed sheepishly, to which the Monkey King grinned smugly at him.
"Whaaat? You didn't tell your mom about how you can wield my staff and powers? And how you did a bunch of hero stuff?" Monkey King teased the poor boy. MK really just wanted to disappear right about now in fear of your silent rage.
"MK, I'm not mad that you didn't tell me... Well, I kind of am. But I'm mainly just worried about you and your safety, sweetie." You stated as you kissed MK's forehead. The way you handled MK seemed to very slightly stir something deep inside the Monkey King... He didn't know what it was, but it made him feel a little funny. It was a rather pleasant feeling... Just the way you talked with MK and treated the boy who was somewhat of a son to him.. Wait.
Actually- Nevermind, he realized something.
MK whined a bit, "Mooom, but I'm grown up already! I can handle some bad guys, even the big ones!"
"And I'm supposed to believe it how? Sure I've seen you running extremely quickly, but I haven't seen you use any actual powers- Besides you breaking the wall-" You paused. Then you turned towards the Monkey King and bowed a little. "I'm terribly sorry that my son broke your wall! How much would it cost to fix it? I-I'm sure I can cover the cost somehow-"
"Psh, it's fine, don't worry about it, Miss (Y/N). No need to pay for it. We tend to destroy walls surprisingly often during training. I can just easily fix it later myself if necessary", Monkey King cut you off. He then got an idea of how to prove it all. He placed his hands on his hips and grinned. "Well, speaking of training... How about your son and I show you what he can do already? We haven't been training in a while anyway, so it could be a nice refresher after everything that happened with the Lady Bone Deeeuuuuhhhh... Forget that part, actually."
You give both a confused and somewhat suspicious look. Now it was Monkey King's turn to laugh nervously. "Aahahaaaanyway- Let's show her what you've learned so far, bud!" He then grabbed you and MK and lead you outside to the cliffside of his home, where him and MK would usually chill and train at. And to give credit where credit is due, it did seem like MK learned quite a bit from his mentor. He even performed some of Monkey King's 72 transformations to show off his skills. Of course you were proud and happy for your son, but you were still a little worried about him having to face actual threats as the legend's successor.
That's when Monkey King started to act... strange, as MK would put it. He wanted to spar with the young boy, which was fine... But unlike their usual sparring sessions, this time his mentor was shirtless. MK immediately knew something was up because he has never seen him spar shirtless since there was no need. Monkey King never even break a single sweat during training. Nor did he ever overheat...
Meanwhile, you couldn't help but eye the ginger-furred monkey's physique. Despite being on the rather lean side, he did have refined muscles on him which were clearly visible due to the bright sunlight. Monkey King noticed your staring and only seemed to move more in a calculated way as he dodges MK's attacks. It was if he was showing off his body more, which made you faintly blush while he grinned... You thought he was grinning because of how easily he dodged MK's attacks with his staff.
However, Monkey King seemed so distracted and was holding back by showing off his body that he did not manage to block one attack from MK. The attack knocked the monkey to the ground due to him losing his balance in surprise. MK laughs victoriously at his mentor's defeat since the task was to land a hit. "Ha! I did it!"
Monkey King blushed a bit in embarrassment as he watched you hold back your laughter. He sheepishly smiled at his successor before using his tail to help himself off the ground. "Yeah, you sure did bud. Congrats."
Suddenly, your phone rang, capturing the attention of both of them. Looking at your phone, you noticed it was Pigsy calling. You sighed as you turned towards the other two. "I'll be right back, I got a call." You said before going a bit further away from them so you could be able to peacefully listen to what Pigsy wanted to talk to you about.
Meanwhile, MK just had to make sure of something. He raised an eyebrow at his mentor, grinning smugly. "Soooo... My mom...~?"
Monkey King blushed as he looked away, laughing nervously as he scratched his cheek. "Ahahaha! W-What are you talking about, kid? W-What about you mom ahaha-"
"You like her, don't you?" MK asks smugly. "You never take any clothes off during our sparring sessions, not even the smallest piece. Even when someone else is around... You even held back on your dodges to flex! This is the first time I see you trying to impress someone!"
If the ginger-furred simian had been drinking something, he would've either spat it out or choked on it as he tried to nervously laugh it off. "O-Of course not! Wha- W-What makes you say that? That doesn't prove anything! I just... felt like sparring like this today, okay? There's a first time for everything after all!" He tried to justify his actions. MK on the other hand just hummed, still grinning smugly. For anyone else trying to hook up with his mom, he would feel disgusted by it. However, the idea of the Sun Wukong, his mentor, legally becoming his father would be amazing. So, what else is there to do than for him to tease his probably and hopefully future dad? "...I don't like how you're looking at me right now." Wukong commented as MK simply continued to grin at him.
"Just admit it."
"...Admit what, bud?"
"That you like my mom."
"Oh- Ahahaha- Psh, I don't like her. I-I mean I like her, you know? She's nice, she's caring... But, I don't like-like her, y-you know? I-I, uh, just-" The ginger simian stammered nervously.
"Mhm. Sure..." MK's grin didn't fade.
After some awkward staring, Monkey King sighed in defeat. "...Okay fine, maybe... Just maybe I do like her just a tiny smidge more than I should for just meeting her today..."
MK chuckles as he leans against his staff. "So like, do you want me to play matchmaker and set you two up? I could get Mei and Sandy involved too in helping you get her to like you back."
The ginger-furred simian blinks at him in both surprise, confusion and embarrassment. He thought his successor would either just drop the topic or continue teasing him behind your back. Maybe he somewhat expected him to even resent him in a way for liking his mother... He just didn't expect him to willingly want to be a supportive matchmaker.
Monkey King nervously rubbed the back of his neck. "Um... How about without them- I just... don't want this to be a big thing since I just met her...?" That came out as more of a question than a statement. The young Monkie Kid happily looked at his mentor, seeing his answer as a clear-cut confirmation of the Great Sage Equal To Heaven asking him for help.
It didn't take long for a plan to be formed.
From then on, just to have both of you to get to know each other better, MK asked you continuously to come with him to Flower Fruit Mountain everytime him and Monkey King were training... And your son was an annoyingly persistent bean, so you usually were dragged away and over to the Monkey King's lair. Then, after every training session, his mentor would talk to you.
It started off simple, actually. You would usually ask about MK's progress as well as about what kind of trouble he's already gotten himself into while you were gone. Apparently the day you returned, MK and his friends had just defeated some ancient bone demon spirit and Megapolis was still recovering.
But then your topics became a lot more personal with each new conversation. While your conversations once were just about things regarding your son being the successor of the Monkey King, over the course of the next weeks, Monkey King would talk to you more about personal preferences. Soon, most of your conversations became rather personal between you two. And oddly enough, MK never once bothered you two. Which made you a little suspicious because MK would usually pester you about what you were talking about with someone else.
You actually became quite good friends with your son's mentor. And after some more time, Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King, the Great Sage Equal To Heaven, asked you out for dinner on Flower Fruit Mountain. You, a mere mortal human, of course were stunned. But also excited to basically go on a date with Sun Wukong himself. Though, it didn't take long for you to figure out that MK was helping out his mentor in hooking you up with him... Just the fact that he was not so secretly asking Wukong about his type right in front of you, to which the Monkey King was responding in a way that was describing you, was evidence enough. It was cute and amusing to see the legendary Monkey King so awkward and flustered that he needed the help of his successor though.
But, your first date was great. You could've sworn MK and Wukong's monkeys were helping him behind the scenes, but they never directly interfered or showed up. Either way, your second date was definitely something Wukong himself set up without MK's or the other monkey's influence, which you appreciated a lot.
However, your monkey boyfriend became a lot more bold in your relationship over time. He turned from awkward and nervous to the horny equivalent of his lip bite meme pictures... Beware of his bad pick-up lines and other advances, because those were the only things that really made MK regret helping him...
"Hey there, beautiful. Are you a peach? Because I want to get a taste of you-"
"Oh my god, Wukong."
"Whaaaat? I just love and a-peach-iate you, babe-"

Cut From the Same Cloth - Hwang Yang-Jung x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
Follow up piece to: The Path to Redemption
Synopsis: When trying to break up a fight, Hwang Yang-Jung comes to your aid. As the two of get to know each other, you realise you're more alike than you think.
There were so many reasons why you’d decided to become a youth worker. You wanted to make a difference, wanted to give chances to the kids who would otherwise be overlooked. But mostly your desire to help came from a place of understanding, of knowing exactly what it was like to be helpless and alone at such a young age. You’d found yourself on the streets at only 13, and you’d had to grow up overnight. You were young, too young to be expected to face the hardships of life alone, and yet that was where you found yourself. With nowhere to go, and no one to turn to, you had to learn to fend for yourself, had to learn how to steal and lie and cheat just to survive. You’d spent freezing cold nights hunkered down in a doorway or huddled under a pile of cardboard in a dirty alleyway. You’d stolen cups of ramen from convenience stores, only to remember you had no hot water to cook them with, forced to eat the dried, hard noodles straight from the pack with tears in your eyes. You’d fought off men twice your size, had learned to defend yourself against those who wanted to take your meagre supplies, or worse.
You’d been given a lifeline by the orphanage, the kindness shown to you by the staff something you hadn’t experienced in many years. After three years of fighting tooth and nail to stay alive, theyd given you a place to stay, had given you the opportunity to be a kid again. It was why you’d chosen to stay, to attend college and train to be a youth worker. The orphanage had given you your life back, and you intended to spend the rest of yours paying them back for the kindness they had shown you. You loved working with the kids, showing them that it was ok to be vulnerable and scared, to teach them how to cope with the overwhelming feelings that came with being homeless. Even though all of the children in your care were safe, many of them struggled to adjust to life away from the streets. It hadn’t been an easy transition for you, and you understood how they were feeling.
Some would cry, some would have paralysing night terrors and others would lash out with violence. You’d taken a punch to the face a fair few times, but each time they lashed out, you made sure to treat them with kindness and respect. It wasn’t uncommon for fights to break out between the children either, disagreements erupting over food, water and even colouring pencils.
You found yourself in between two rowdy teenage boys, both far bigger than you in stature and weight. You weren’t sure what had caused the argument, but it had erupted into chaos in a matter of seconds. You could hear the cries of the younger children as they shrunk away from the violence, could hear the gasps of the older teens as they stood and watched the scuffle. “That’s enough!” you cried, trying and failing to push the boys apart. You were strong, but the teens were stronger, and you didn’t stand a chance. You looked wildly around the garden, hoping some of your colleagues would be coming to your aid, but you were entirely on your own.
The boys rained punches down on one another, your shouts for them to stop falling on deaf ears. You were getting desperate now, keen to stop the fight before someone did irreversible damage. “I said stop!” you yelled, shouting so loudly you hurt the back of your throat. Once again, your orders were met with non-compliance, and you were out of ideas. “ENOUGH!” The deep, thunderous tone of the voice behind you brought everyone to a standstill, including you. You turned to see Hwang Yang-Jung marching up the pathway, his face like thunder. “Do you think this is any way to act?” he demanded, staring down the two teens who had ceased their assault on one another. Their heads bowed, their gazes trained at the floor, they shook their heads. “No, sir,” they mumbled in unison. “Apologise to your teacher,” he said, his voice softer now, “and go and clean yourselves up.”
The two boys scarpered, as did the rest of the children, returning to their activities as though nothing had happened. Your breathing was coming thick and fast, exerted with the effort of trying to break up the fight. “Are you alright?” Yang-Jung asked, taking in your dishevelled appearance. Your face was red, your jeans and cardigan covered in mud. You still looked beautiful though, still lit that all too familiar fire in the pit of his stomach. “Yes,” you smiled, brushing off the worst of the mud and grass. “Thank you for helping. Were you here to see someone?”
Yang-Jung felt his face flush, laughing nervously as he ran a hand through his short salt and pepper hair. He’d come to speak to you, to finally ask you to dinner after weeks of psyching himself up. You spent every week at his restaurant, and yet you were always so busy with the kids that you never got to try and of his food. He wanted a chance to get to know you, to show you what he was capable of cooking. Yang-Jung wanted to give you a break, to let you take some time for yourself, now more than ever after witnessing the fight. “I uh… I wanted to ask if you were free tonight,” he mumbled. He felt like a nervous boy asking out his high school crush, his palms sweaty as he forced himself to maintain eye contact with you. “I am,” you smiled, “why? Did you need help with something?” “No! No, I uh… I wanted to ask if you wanted to have dinner with me… At my restaurant.” He could stop stuttering, couldn’t seem to stop stumbling over his words. The early afternoon sun made your skin glow, your eyes glistening as you looked up at him. “That would be really nice,” you smiled. “I’ll see you tonight.”
Yang-Jung had prepared a feast, sparing no expense when it came to creating the perfect meal for you. He could feel the nerves rising as he counted down the minutes to your arrival, putting the finishing touches on the dishes. You were a vision in a red sundress, the vivid colour perfectly complimenting your skin. He found it so easy to talk to you, the conversation flowing better than he ever could have expected. You were funny, and smart, and so full of passion for the work that you did.  Yang-Jung found himself constantly getting lost in your eyes, the melodic sound of your voice lulling him into a blissful haze. “So, what made you decide to become a youth worker?” he asked, pouring you another glass of white wine. “I was an orphan,” you admitted, taking a large sip of Sauvignon Blanc as you prepared to bare your soul. “I wanted to give something back to the place that helped me.” You told him about your time on the streets, about the things you’d been forced to do to survive. Yang-Jung had no idea you’d been through so much, had no idea you’d both experienced the pain of homelessness. As he told you about his time living on the streets of Seoul, you felt the air shift between you. Something had changed, the two of you brought together by the hardships you’d faced.
You wanted to take his face in your hands, to kiss away the pain that was evident in his eyes. Slowly reaching your hand across the table, you entwined your fingers with his, smiling slightly as the two of you swapped horror stories. You didn’t want the night to end, didn’t want to go back to your apartment alone. But it was getting late, and you had early start, and as much as you wanted to spend all night with Yang-Jung, you needed to get back. “I had a really nice time,” you smiled, both of you lingering by the door, neither of you wanting the night to end. “Maybe we can do it again?” “Absolutely,” he whispered, completely entranced by the way your face looked bathed in the light of the full moon. You were radiant, so stunningly beautiful and he wanted to pull you back inside, to kiss every inch of your body and make love to you on the table. You caught each other’s eye, smiling sheepishly as you both willed yourselves to make a move.
It was you who caved first, standing on your tiptoes to brush a soft kiss across his lips. Your gentle touch lit a fire within him, sending a wave of electricity through every cell of his body. He wanted more, wanted to pull you in and deepen the kiss, wanted to hear you moan against his lips, but something stopped him. “I’ll see you soon,” you smiled, climbing into the taxi that waited to take you home.
As he watched you leave, Yang-Jung could have kicked himself. He hesitated because he was scared, unable to admit that someone like you would want someone like him. The two of you may be cut from the same cloth, may have been marred by similar tragedies, but he still couldn’t bring himself to accept that he deserved happiness.
He had to figure out what scared him more: taking the first steps towards a relationship with you, or letting you go?

Zaun AU - Viktor
This is the little AU that haunts me, where Viktor and Jayce both live in Zaun, and Arcane is actually about class struggle and oppression.
Here you can read Jayce's backstory. And in this post we'll tackle Viktor's.
VIKTOR AND HIS (TERRIBLE?) LUCK
- In this timeline, Viktor's parents died way earlier, while he was still a kid.
- It happened very soon after, or even right around the time when he had a falling out with Singed. Double hitting little Viktor with tragedy here.
- Little Viktor pointedly didn't go after Singed, even if it meant he ended up in an orphanage. There was not enough food, education, and definitely no good perspectives in life there, but it beat trying to survive on the streets.
- It was the mining company's orphanage. As in, they sponsor it and put orphans of their employees there (the life expectancy on the job is not that great, after all). And the orphanage raises the kids in the same trade. The new generation of miners with almost a sure guarantee of the job after they’re old enough to start working. Great system all around. Ha. ha.
- Viktor's parents were not miners, but he lived in the same gray infested district where most of them and the orphanage were settled, so he got sent there by proxy.
- He spent at least a year there.
- But Viktor couldn't just sit around, just be content with getting pre-trained for swiftly dying on the first month of work right after leaving that damn place.
- Viktor didn't really try to make friends, and got in trouble several times for breaking into the school after hours.
- Partially because he kept working on his own little projects in secret. Like a breathing mask that filters out or converts gases.
- There weren't many resources around for him to test and build his projects around the orphanage. So Viktor quickly turned to scavenging and stealing stuff he might need around the city. This took a lot of his free time and involved way too much walking around to be comfortable, but what can one do. Science can't wait.
But not everything he needed was easy to come by.
- Trying to build an efficient mask was proving to be difficult, and demanding on resources. Viktor's knowledge and his school's chemistry lab couldn't fully keep up with his ambitions on this one.
THE INCIDENT x2: THE COLLISION
- So when Viktor heard the whiff of a rumor that a reclusive scientist guy got settled in some warehouse nearby, the guy that looks suspiciously like Singed, he decided to seize this chance.
- The scientist in the storage facility was indeed Singed, and he had a bigger, well stocked lab in there.
- After spying on it for a bit, and with prior knowledge of some of his former mentor’s habits, Viktor figured out when and how he can get in there, and for how long he can stay in the lab without being noticed.
He made sure to be very careful, and not leave any evidence of his presence, or the fact that he's using the equipment and stealing things here and there.
(He thought he was being so stealthy and smart about it all, ohboy).
- Viktor was still in his pre-teens, very early teens here, btw.
- This went on for a few months.
- Until one day Viktor got carried away and overstayed in the lab. And got almost busted, when Singed came back, and with a bunch of mafia guys in tow.
- They spread out to watch the exits, and little Viktor had to scramble, hide in the cupboards, and crawl under benches without losing his cane, leg pain be damned.
- Because Singed and Silko just -had- to walk around the lab talking about business and their future plans and schedules. Silco tried to push Singed into moving the lab or letting Silco put more security around this one. Like, stuff keeps getting stolen from him here and there. Not a lot, but this wouldn't do.
- And Viktor was very careful and stealthy. He -almost- made it out without being noticed. But, again, there were armed mafia goons on all sides of the place.
- So they got him, like a little rat boy who overheard a lot of plans for highly illegal stuff, and brought him and his broken cane to Silco (and absolutely unfazed Singed).
OF FATHER FIGURES AND REBELLION (part 1: Singed)
- And, well. Silco couldn't let the boy go. Viktor's life was very much expandable here in the face of the bright future Silco was about to build. But, like, it was still a bit awkward. Boy is scared and angry and even has a little bite to him.
- And one (maybe even Viktor for a second) would think Singed would cover for Viktor. Pretend he's still the wayward protege. But that's a lot to expect from the guy. So all Singed managed to muster up with 0.00005 of conscience he had left in him was a thoughtful "You might want to keep the child" to Silco. "He will be of use".
("these words will have consequences" moment)
Singed: This will be a smart investment. Silco: I'm sure having a sickly but smart child around with bright ideas that are destined to waste away in the mines will not awaken anything in me. Singed: Singed: If you say so.
-
- With no cane (at first) and no safe place to go, Viktor couldn't really run away.
- And from the other side of this predicament – benevolently adopting a child, sorry, a future employee from the streets was cool and all, but Silco really didn't know what to do with a kid milling around his place and becoming meaner and meaner to the bodyguards with each passing day.
- So Silco avoided dealing or talking with Viktor for a bit, and then, bless his morally gray soul, tried to sneaky offload him on Singed.
Because the science child needs proper science education, and he's the best science guy around. And even familiar to the kid, too! So. Babysitting duty it is.
- Like, Viktor needed something to do. Had to be socialized a bit. When Silco got him a new custom-made cane, Viktor broke a couple of toes of the first bodyguard that spooked him.
(It was mostly an accident).
(That cane was too heavy and awkward to handle).
Singed: Thanks, but no thanks. He doesn't really listen to me anymore. Singed: Your problem now. Silco: >C
-
- Viktor was still stuck hanging out with Singed for a bit there, while Silco was busy with, well, business and having his adoption crisis.
- It was a lot of fun (No. No it wasn't.).
- Viktor was still angry with Singed about Rio, and also for working with some criminal guy now, and not caring much about (Viktor or) anything, really.
- Singed was really truly indifferent to all this drama, as long as Viktor didn't fuck up (on accident or on purpose) whatever he was working on. And even then, he'd just sigh and comment on the spirit of youth getting to Viktor's head or something.
- Because only the lack of experience could allow Viktor to waste time sulking around and wasting the opportunities life throws at his feeble feet. Right now, to continue the research Singed is interested in at the reasonable pace, he needs more funding and resources than Singed can or cares to muster up himself. He had the opportunity to get it all, and so he's here, trading money for results with Silco. For now.
If you want to keep on your goals and get somewhere with them and with your life, you've got to take the chances you get, and squeeze out the most out of them. Even if they might seem dirty and unappealing. Most times it still beats being buried in an unmarked grave.
- Singed will not wink wink nudge around this, he's a pretty direct guy. Viktor is lucky to be alive and have some possible future ahead. Singed doesn't care one way or the other, but it's very impractical of Viktor to wallow in all this "sold to one direction" suffering.
- This hurt to swallow, but still left an impression on Viktor.
- His relationship with Singed evened out over the next years, but stayed strained. From Viktor's side. Singed really, truly didn't care. He's focused and unbothered by any parental drama happening around him. Apart, of course, from his own.
- Singed did care for Viktor and taught him well, and even appreciated him as an occasional assistant and later as a fellow man of science. But ultimately Singed always was more focused on his own goals. He let the vague leftover opportunity for the gentle connection wither away. And Viktor with an array of vague and contradictory feelings about his almost father figure, that Viktor would not admit to have without significant pressure.
GROWING PAINS
-
Viktor growing up: Me being so sickly and in constant need for medical attention must be stretching my usefulness thin. Must not become a liability, must work even harder.
Silco, with several surgeons on call, pulling debts, and ready to bite heads off for top quality accommodations: *pins schedule for Viktor’s weekly massages on Viktor’s bedpost, tucks it in his notebook, sets up alarms*
-
Silco, actually touched by the efforts the child made to help him: ah, g-d dang it... Viktor, not sure what exactly from the things he did worked: o-o ???? ?? ? Singed, who just wants to work on his drugs in peace:
He's so not invested in all this. Leave him to hunt wolves and dissect lizards. He needs his recreational animal hunting for samples.
-
- It took Silco a moment to stop waving his new reality away, get Viktor a proper cane and generally figure out what to do. And at first he did it all because it is, you know, just practical.
- But, yes, Silco, you will not get away with letting the child grow like moss somewhere on the shelf until he starts bringing results.
You gotta figure stuff out.
- It's a trap. He will fall in and hit the ground hard.
Silco will memorise every single prescription Viktor has, and will have to regularly hunt the child down to make sure he eats. Because some pills have to go with food.
- They'll have a talk one day (just like the talk Viktor had with Singed). About taking what's needed to keep going, staying on top of your goals.
There's no point in sitting there and suffering. For what even? To feel superior? Over people who do not struggle like you are? Who are not in pain? Pfft.
- Silco will ask Viktor if he thinks he is the only one who knows what it's like to be unable to function without meds or aid. Of course, it is not to the same degree, but they both were poisoned by this city.
Much to consider for little Viktor. Many things to sit side by side in silence about.
- What do you think It'll be like for them to develop an evening routine of medical care? Silco takes his meds, counts out Viktor's, while Viktor measures Silco's shots. Viktor does his stretches, while Silco prepares him sweet milk.
-
Viktor, emerging from the lab after a week-long binge of working:
Tumblr media
Silco, appearing from the shadows behind his shoulder: ........Noticing you’ve missed your morning exercise 3 times already.... … .. .
Viktor:
Tumblr media
This will have consequences. (C) Silco.
Like, who's gonna be groaning and whining for another week while trying to get out of bed? Who's gonna need compress and a call to the masseuse? Hmh.
OF FATHER FIGURES AND REBELLION (part 2: Silco)
- In his teen years, Viktor got dragged through many chem-barons meetings and parties in the guise of a cup bearer- I mean secretary. Because Silco could trust only him with some sensitive documents and info.
- Vague hopes of raising himself a diplomatically suave successor crushed hard over Viktor treating these ventures like a cat would a bath.
- Viktor can and would ruin a trading deal for Silco just because he was taken (dragged, cursing and flailing) from his lab while some tests were still running.
Why was Viktor in the lab, when he was set to be ready for the business meeting 30 min ago? Dedication to the craft. Next question.
- Oh, you think you have it hard, Silco? Wait till his sister shows up, try to get her to behave. Will remember the good old days.
At least you can discipline Viktor by giving him, idk, a gazillion stacks of paperwork for a week.
- Silco didn't stop Viktor from pursuing academics and science, of course. Even encouraged it.
- He essentially encouraged Viktor researching and developing things that would help them in the plan of building up Zaun's strength and independence. Yes, sometimes it meant building weapons.
- Viktor wasn't really happy with doing this, but growing up with Silco he saw the value in what he was trying to do, and wanted to see their city free and independent one day, too.
- And when they'll get closer to that goal, when people will stop being trampled down and dying from neglect and malice of the privileged assholes, Viktor will have a chance to put his whole attention into working on his other projects. To invent things that will improve the everyday lives of people.
But for now it's revolution first, necessities later.
- Viktor still can tinker with his other projects, still slave over improving his mask design, and other biomechanical aids, research plants and all. He has all the funds he might need, Silco believes in everything Viktor does, 100%.
But, you know. Those things are designated to his free time. They are not the priority. Yet.
- An -yet- Viktor still felt the tension. The dissatisfaction. The pressure and constraints these expectations put on him. He believed in Silco's cause, of course, full stop with him. But it always felt like he could do more with his other ventures, if he was free to put his efforts into directly helping people right now.
- Silco understood that this tension existed, but somewhat underestimated it. He believed in Viktor's loyalty no matter how many arguments they had, and even with Viktor's various outbursts and "making a point" sabotages.
- Oh, the roundabout way of making weapons for one group so it will win (so your people will), and there will be no need to use weapons so much. *looks at Jayce in s 1 act 2*
- Oh, the later contrast of Jinxes weapons being very violent and destructive and painful, and Viktor's being more simple and efficient.
-
Viktor: *invents stunning bullets that can knock people out for various periods of time* Viktor: I am being so ethical c: Silco: *uses them to torture people* Viktor: >0
THE DEVIL ON THE BOTTOM OF THE TEST TUBE
- In addition to everything else, in this timeline Viktor was studying and invested in bioengineering.
- And he was (on and off) helping Singed with the development of Shimmer.
- Viktor wouldn't want Rio's suffering and legacy to be in vain. For it to be a berserk drug with terrible addiction.
- Viktor: I Will Fix This. For normal and noble and just reasons, that don't involve any projection or guilt. At all.
- Shimmer was developed as a healing and strength booster drug, and Viktor and Singed spent a lot of time ironing it out.
- Well, Singed worked on perfecting the desired results, that he (and Silco) needed. If one cares for the difference. (Viktor did.)
- Silco pushed for the earliest possible release of the product, Singed didn't care much, Viktor's opinion was sidelined a lot.
- The future consequences of all this were building up and up.
THE OVERVIEW
- This kind of upbringing left its mark, and Viktor grew up even more bite-y and stand-offish, and more ready to make difficult compromises with his morals if it meant getting closer to his own goals.
- That stayed the same – to help people of the undercity.
- I think it will be fun to have Viktor on the hot spot, spearheading the research to free his city from oppression. Have him choose compromises after compromises just for a chance to do it one day.
- To have Viktor's need to prove his worth and his right to be there grip him more strongly. His desire to show that he's just as capable, just as strong as everyone else. That he's capable of handling everything he was dealt and more.
- All of this will be stretching his control of himself and his life thin.
His insecurities and fear forced him into a role with few choices and many regrets.
- Since Viktor started to get better medical attention when he was still a kid, the condition of his leg is not as bad when he's in his 20s, and it doesn't deteriorate as fast. He still needs a cane and later a brace (maybe not the same one?).
- Because his leg is in better condition (and thanks to Silco getting him into regularly doing physical therapy and gymnastics) Viktor's back is doing better, too. He does need regular massages and to wear a corset (sometimes or regularly) to keep in this way.
- Currently, I am not sure if we'll need to keep Viktor's terminal illness in this AU. We know so little about it from canon, and there's enough going on narratively in the AU to keep it going.
It can stay as slowly coming to surface chronic condition caused by the gray. Viktor would have a weaker respiratory system, low oxygen levels in the blood (maybe need that supplemented sometimes). Have chronic fatigue. He'll be more prone to get colds and infections.
- I'll think about it more (and do share your thoughts if you have them), but so far I don't think the actual ticking timebomb (heheh) of it is necessary.

Okay so here is a little bit about the characters in my Ninjago au; life club:
Kai: works at the same coffee shop as Zane and Cole that Wu owns. His parents are dead and he mostly grew up in an orphanage, when he turned 18 he legally adopted Nya so that could live in the city and Nya could go to school and eventually college. He decided not to he to university (even though that’s what his parents wanted before they died) and instead work to save up money for Nya to go to school. He is the main bassist in the band and when we first meet him he is 18.
Nya: same backstory as Kai obviously. She’s a sophomore In high school (15) at the start of the story. She on the swim team and takes it very seriously. She spends a lot of her time studying but when she’s not she’s watching the band practice (well she’s mostly watching Jay)
Jay: at the start of the story he’s in high school and a junior(16). He sits next to Nya in French class and help her out because his dad is French. His parents own a secondhand shop downtown that they live above. Like the original he’s adopted. He doesn’t work at the coffee shop but is there most of the time anyway. He’s the backup bassist and backup vocals
Zane: He’s a double major in computer science and the culinary arts at Ninjago city university (NCU). When he has 13 his dad passed away, he had always talked about how he wanted Zane to get a good education so Zane used the money from his father to pay for a very prestigious boarding school. He lives in the dorms of NCU and has become good friends with Cole, he even help Zane get a job at the coffee shop he works at. He’s the drummer.
Cole: he is currently in the dance program at NCU after he got a full scholarship and is living on his own in a crappy apartment. His dad is a totally helicopter parent and was a military veteran so he wanted Cole to go into the military like he did. He trained him as a kid and was pretty hard on him but this backfired when Cole ran away to be a dancer. His appartement is petty far from the university so he has a car which is the band go to vehicle when they need to go somewhere bc of it bigger size. He’s the guitarist.
Lloyd: he’s a sophomore in high school and lives with his mom and uncle. His uncle Wu owns the local coffee shop Cole and Zane work at so he spends a lot of his time sitting around there playing games on his phone. His dad was in a very popular band when he was young but for some unowned reason right after Lloyd birth he disappeared. He’s the singer.
some of these(Coles) might fell a bit strange but that is mostly bc I just take the original backstory of the characters and replace fighting/ninja with the band/performing arts
Thanks for reading and sorry for all this text, take care of yourself <3

What's going on in REAPTIDE???
youtube
Hey guys, just got the big video full of lore out and i'm VERY aware of how confusing it is so have a little loredump (all under the cut for you to read)
First things first, the setting:
Folkloric tales say that after the discovery of a reincarnation process (that basically consists in putting your soul into another body to avoid dying), the death rate of humans has significantly decrased.
But great mother nature knows how to keep things balanced, creating a predatory species to human to regulate their population: reaps (or fauches in french), an amphibian specie that is known for having two forms, a human-like form that is actually very pacifist and harmless to humans, to the point of behaving like them and integrating their society, and a wild form wich attacks on sight, aiming for the lethal parts that prevent the reincarnation process to happen.
Human-like reaps are most common in the UK, even though you can find some in western Europe, it seems the further they go from great britain, the higher is the risk for them to go feral.
They usually turn wild under stressful situations.
A lot of countries have to protect themselves from wild reap attacks, not allowing contruction and activity around shores and having military forces keeping the beaches safe on the daily.
All good? Now let's get to the story!!!
Tumblr media
On a bright, chilly may morning, on the normand coast, the coast guards, Victoire and Gabriel find two young reap girls in their human state, one exhaused, holding the other, who passed out, in her arms, though Victoire is hesitant to help them out at first, they decide to take the two to her home so that they can rest for a bit.
The one who's awake, Seren, explain to them that her and her friend Avery ran away from the UK to avoid being taken by the church that replaced the orphanage system there (called the church of the child of truth) and is preying on your reap girls first and foremost, their boat got attacked by a wild reap on the way to france and she had to swim with Avery in her arms all the way to the coast.
Victoire calls her higher-ups to know what she should do with the kids, she is told to take care of them at least until Avery wakes up, they'll see then, she isnt to pleased with that answer but rolls with it, however, she wants Seren to assist her in work, because she won't let her crash her house for free.
Seren quickly gets the hang of what Vic ask of her, keeping an eye on the sea, staying outside when the others investigates blockhouses to make sure they dont get attacked from outside, and stick with the group, she doesn't have much to do really, and it seems like Gabriel doesn't either because hes only carrying stuff around and following Vic, she's the only one who's armed in the group.
While the job itself isn't difficult, Seren still has trouble seeing the sea so close to her all the time, it's calling at a feeling roothed deep inside of her, she know what it is but doesn't want to think about it, it would only make her more of a burden for the others, who seem to be somewhat aware of it, Gabriel does his best to help her feel comfortable, but Vic keeps her guard up.
After a few days, Seren starts wondering about the relationship between Vic and Gabriel, since despite living together, working together and that one picture on the drawer where it looks like they were close as kids, they seem pretty distant with eachother.
She decides to ask Gabriel about it, since she gets along with him better.
Gabriel explains to her that the boy on the picture is not him, but the previous owner of the body he's inhabiting, Vic's little brother Gabriel (she reffers to him as Gabi), who he stole the identity of to run away from issues he had in a previous life, Vic is aware of the fact he is not her brother but lets him stay at her house under the conditions of helping her with work, like the kid does.
Seren tells him he's lucky to be able to restart his life from zero, she wishes her and Avery could abandon their problems, but even leaving the country isn't enough, he mentions the fact that once you've changed life a few time, it becomes kind of compulsive, feeling the need to leave everytime you mess up even just a bit, she understands he's saying that from experience, but doesnt pry.
After around a week, the crew is doing their daily patrolling, they've all become more comfortable with eachother, even Vic is starting to loosen up a bit, but the calm doesn't last long, a wild reap crawls out of the sea and charges on Gabriel.
It's been too much for Seren, she is stressed out, she is afraid, she is tired.
She gives up and turns wild, in a last effort to protect her friend, shredding the other reap to tears.
Vic looses composure for a few seconds, but she prepared for something like this to happen, once the now wild Seren is done with the monster, she shoots her, killing her on the spot.
Once at home, Vic calls her higer-ups to report the incident, she's fired, on the pretext that she din't handle the situation the way she should have, they don't elaborate.
Gabriel prepares to leave, he feels like he can't stay any longer, he says his goodbye to Vic and goes to seek another life he could switch to.
After his departure, Vic feels lonely and pointless, she goes back to the living room to discover Avery has woken up.
Here we go, that's all!! Hope you liked it!
Have this art of Seren as a reward

Endeavor - Intro/Headcanons
Tumblr media
Endeavor is a very underrated character.
yes he was an abuser, but he is trying to be a better father. and even though hen still gets mad and doesn't really know how to show his emotions he's still trying. As someone who doesn't have the best relationship with her father, and also as some one who is trying to be a better person I can appreciate that.
I feel like if somebody were to give him a chance, somebody that has little to no knowledge of his past or status he could actually have a stable and healthy relationship with such a person.
but that on it's own is boring so make it a reader who was just recently put in an orphanage as she was saved from her neglectful parents and has no other family. we'll keep her around the age of 4-15 as those were the years that endeavor missed the most with his kids.
now, how would these two meet? I have a couple ideas and I'll write a fanfic (or fanfics) for the most popular one. (there's a poll below for y'all to decide.)
option 1 : Bus stop
Tumblr media
reader is around 5,6,7 years old and quirkless.
so you and Endeavor have a similar morning commute at the same bus stop, at the same time, every morning. you go to school, and him to his agency. and while Endeavor never really cared for this, one morning you happen to forget your coat at the orphanage. (not that it kept you warm anyway.) the sight of a child in winter, cold and alone, practically pulled at his heart strings. a feeling overcame him I suppose, a need to protect and provide perhaps. and begrudgingly he got out a sweater, all warm and fluffy and lent it to you, grumbling something about giving it back to him later. now all snuggled up within the oversized cotton fibers of the sweater, warm and happy, all you could really do is mumble out a little thank you. Imma bout' to pull a grinch but Endeavor's heart grew 3 times that day.
Tumblr media
Option 2 : support hero
reader is 15 and quirkless but uses support items to help her if she needs anything.
you are the apprentice of his main support hero, a wild, spunky woman who spends her days drinking, drunk, or hungover. ( I mean... good for her.) and yes while she does teach you, she usaully leaves all the real work to you. at this point she's your apprentice. so when Endeavor comes it's not her that really helps it's you! you repair, you improve, you operate the rest of the support heroes, honestly he should give you a raise. and it's nice, having you around I mean, you just always seem to make his day better, either by showing him cat memes, or explaining your latest obsession to him, or just being your self. it's a talkative and optimistic x furious monster that will fight to the death for them dynamic or a brings instant noodles to share for lunch x uses his fire quirk to actually cook the instant noodles with his fire quirk dynamic.
Tumblr media
Option 3 : Dabi
more of a Endeavor-Dabi mix for the drama. reader is 4 and gets her quirk in the story. her quirk is a heightened version of shoto's quirk which I'll expand on if this is the fan favorite.
you are the product of Dabi and a fling he had when he was 19 or 20, and while he may not have the most money or have the money, he still tires to protect you and and make you feel as cherished and loved as one can. growing up he never really showed you what a hero was. all you need to know is that they are not good people but don't tell anyone that lots of people don't know that and might get angry. now this is fine and all, Dabi protects your innocence while also protecting you from the world that hurt him. but one thing he negelcted to teach you is who is a hero. because the description he gave you "people attempting to 'save' people and fight 'bad guys' using their quirks often with swarms of people around them." only applies to heros in action and/or heros that the public actually like. so when Endeavor is placed to patrol in a relatively bad neighbourhood (it's the best one dabi could afford HE"S TRYING C"MON) around the time kids go and comeback from school to make sure they get home safe is when he meets you. a little girl with white hair like snow and sapphire blue eyes that glisten with joy.
POLLS!!!
thx for reading!!! byyeee.

I have a weird but hopefully adorable ask!
RO reaction to receiving the news that they or MC is pregnant with Octuplets?
(For Elio, MC brings 8 kids home and says these are our kids now :)
Woof, Lord have mercy!
Cassandra: When the doctor reported that there was more than 4 heart beats in there... Girly was lightheaded for hours trying to contemplate. You can bet top dollar after this you both are not ever having any more kids, this is the first and last time.
Valeria: Laughs. Laughs in disbelief and wonder, she didn't even think that was humanly possible. I mean, she is a twin herself to having two or even three in one go was plausible but...8? Good Lord grant her patience, because you two can kiss sleep goodbye.
Tomás: Nah, my man definitely passed out for a few moments. Goddamn, 8?! That's insane, normally he would take majority of the 9 months wrapping his head around being a dad, but now he's gotta come to grips he is having 8 in one go? Yikes.
On the plus side however, he would prep like a mf. 8 hand-made cradles and adjustments were made to the dining table to he could fit all 8 of the little ones into makeshift high chairs. He is literally making a blueprint of the house and trying to figure out how he is going to fit them all into their respective rooms when they are older. He kinda wishes he had more money so he could afford to give them all their own rooms, he would low key debate asking his mom for some money but his pride ultimately would not allow it. He settles on separating them by gender for now, it would be funny af if he got 7 boys and one girl though. Heavens know that girl would be a such a daddy's princess.
-
Ludovica: I worry more on her health tbh, she would worry the whole pregnancy that she would miscarry. So by the end she is so happy they arrived safely and healthy, she honestly would be very overwhelmed by the number of them though. Vica would benefit greatly from having a small family but she would not complain to have all 8. She might make a case that you guys need to hire a few nannies though, she would be very involved with all 8 of her kids but it is all a bit too much for her though.
Aurelio: The best one out of all the RO's that is fit for this situation. He would still 100% throw up upon receiving the news however, goodbye freedom. He would shape up quick and allocate many of his spare rooms in his manor for his kids, no more overnight stays for any party guests that is for sure. He would hire one nanny, aka a governess, for the kids so that he can work comfortably and MC can have some help. His kids will all turn out 100% like him, read that one other RO as parent's ask to see what I mean by that. The havoc these kids will cause on the denizens of Romandi are unspeakable, however I feel like the home life would look a lot like 'The Sound Of Music' (my absolute favorite comfort movie btw) but how the family is at the end. Constant trips, fun games, and a huge loving family. The kids would also probably be similar to those kids from that movie. Putting frogs in people that they don't like clothes lol.
Elio: I mean... He would have questions as to why you suddenly decided that your shared apartment sized home should now be an orphanage. My mans would be shook but also not turn them out, he would at first want to find them all proper homes but I can see he would quickly get attached. He does 100% MC to find or have a job to support all of these kids properly, he would help (by being a house husband) but it would fall mainly on MC to figure out how are you both going to take proper care of these kids in the long term.

Mad Hatter Junior AU Master Info
Well, I got hit with inspiration and I realized I never wrote down a master post of the AU with the updated info so here it is!
Heads up, it's kind of long XD
What is Mad Hatter Junior AU?
In a nutshell, it's an AU where Jervis Tetch gets an adopted son known as Henry, later on getting the full name of Henry Tetch. This AU is a big focused on challenges in parenthood, being a supervillain, living in Gotham, and Henry in his older years
This AU isn't limited to the BTAS version of Jervis, Ratter! Jervis has his own Henry, so does the 60s Jervis, classic comics, etc
Henry's design does change to reflect each Mad Hatter, however he will always have freckles, a gap in his overbite, and not looking exactly like Jervis
How did Jervis meet Henry?
After one too many defeats by Batman and Robin, Jervis decided he's going to have his own sidekick to do battle with!
Though this is much harder than he realizes because, well, who is willing to be his sidekick? Other villains can manipulate others through fear, money, etc. But what does he have to offer?
And well, he can't just go to an orphanage to adopt
However this all changed one day when he found Henry hanging around the train yards. Jervis just escaped from Batman and Robin, inside of the same train car he jumped in was the little kid
One that looked like him no less!
But before they could talk, Batman appeared and the two ran off
Well, Jervis ran, and Henry followed him
And this is when Jervis found out how scrappy Henry is. Throwing dirt at them, pushing levers to change the train tracks of oncoming to aim for the dynamic duo, and even throwing nails on the floor
After they escaped and Jervis finally can catch his breath, he noticed Henry was right next to him
But before he could shoo him away, Jervis had a realization
Henry could be his sidekick
After asking a few questions; he found out that his name is Henry, he is an orphan, not particularly talkative, and had nowhere to go
Sure, he had no idea how Henry looked so much like him, but he didn't care, his new sidekick was here!
So, he took Henry in and kicked off his plan of Mad Hatter Junior
How did Jervis do as a first time parent?
In a nutshell, it was basically this doodle
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, Jervis had no idea what REAL parenthood was like when he took Henry in
Henry was incredibly well behaved, not that talkative and getting a few words out of him was tough
But it was everything else that he wasn't expecting to take care of
Like, getting Henry a bedroom, feeding him, educate him, trying to make sure he doesn't fall into the hands of some opportunistic idiot, and trying to run his evil schemes while trying not to get caught by Batman
He was not prepared by all means and when everything hit him like a truck, yeah Jervis was stressed to hell and back
Finding a permanent base that Henry could safely live in was a challenge, especially with a certain clown running amok. He literally had to put Henry in a house he "legally" got outside of Gotham City
Then the other rogues who somehow found out about him and wanted to meet the little kid. Though some of them make his blood pressure go through the roof. Watching Harley bring a hyena for Henry to pet nearly sent him to the hospital from stress
But probably the worst is when Jervis had to go to Arkham and Henry can’t come with him
Now Jervis is constantly worried if Henry was able to escaped the police, made it back to the base safely, and if he’s going to be okay until Jervis can reunite with him
So far, Henry is doing fine and has always reunited with Jervis when he breaks out. But there is always the chance that he might not reunite with him
But things have worked out, Henry does have a semi-permanent place for him, Edward and Jonathan are educating him (if they're not in Arkham and under heavy surveillance), and plus he's talking even more!
How does Batman and the other others view Henry and Jervis?
Batman was at first very wary about Jervis having a son, especially since this kid is was from the streets of Gotham and was participating in Jervis’s evil schemes
But after seeing how happy Henry was and how well taken care of he is, he is a bit calmer. Though still wary just in case Jervis does something to hurt Henry
Some rogues like Edward, Jonathan, and Harley really adore Henry, since he’s really well behaved and excited to learn from them. He always says hello to them and refers to them as “Mister” or “Miss”
Some rogues are neutral about him such as Selina, Poison Ivy, and Scarface. They don’t mind him but they don’t really interact with him. And Henry keeps close to Jervis, talking only when needed to and keeping to himself
While others like Clock King and Lock-Up are not fans of him for various reasons. Clock King’s reasoning is that Henry unfortunately got the same time management habits from his father and is always late. Lock-Up despises him for daring to care for a rogue, aka Jervis. For this, Henry is at his worst around them and his bratty self comes out
What does Henry think of Alice?
Henry does not like Alice, at all xD
To Henry, he doesn’t see the same thing his father sees in her. He only sees a weird blonde lady that his father is interested in
But he still helps out in his father’s schemes to get her, since it makes him happy and he can spend time with his father. It won’t stop him from judging his dad though xD
That’s the info so far, I’ll update it as I get all my info together. Enjoy!

copy pasted but the summerized backstory and story arc of the fool i wrote out for some friends, artwork depicting Showstopper/Alec, who is the main character this is talking about that I've posted before, if your curious about this guy read under the cut
Uhhh i tried explaining abit better but im bad at that but if yer wanting elaborations would be happy giving em jsshjfjvvj
Tumblr media
Alan Warren a guy who was raised as a human in an orphanage sorta ordeal who was never adopted, had no connections really, either ignored any potential ones or other kids were unnerved by him, gets out at 18, Was always very theatrical and into the performing arts, always immersed in stage plays fanfic and general fiction of all sorts, so he becomes an actor and gets a drama degree probably During when hes around kinda 19-21 he learns hes a shapeshifter, Terrified at first, has an identity crisis, and deciding to ya know do a reasonable thing. Disappears from society entirely and moves into an old abandoned theater, People assuming he was kidnapped, people search for him but the case just gets shoved away, no one caring at the end of it all. There was no one in his life in the end.
He just kinda uses a New human alter ego (Alec Glen) to waltz around after, morphing it to his preferences after figuring that out and probably staring at fashion magazines he stole
In the end larps as a villain, he commits petty theft both for survival and just cuz He's pretty good untraceable thief too, he ends up getting fancy with it and leaving a calling card for flair
And, he's online friends with MysticColors (my oc Scarlette Younge), commissions her time to time, and eventually commissioned her to draw what she assumed was a persona, but was really his jester mode, aka the thing he uses as a default form to lounge around comfortably in, cuz she can draw realistic enough for him to try and replicate it proper.
She doesn't know she designed a body for this man whatsoever and he would be mortified to tell her And since she was really his only interaction they ended up becoming friends, surface level Fandom ones but still friendly Showstopper always talking to her daily cuz he has nothing else to really do, at least to just say hi to her
Few years later, a Private Investigator stuck working with the cops in the area finds a missing person's case, shoved away. Deemed a lost cause And she can't help but want to at least try to find the poor guys whereabouts, dead or alive
Showstopper eventually learns about someone taking his first human identity's missing person's case up again to try and find him, maybe from overhearing her questioning his old coworkers or smthn, and gains a superficial crush on her due to finally feeling like someone's looking for him,
(he can even ignore that she's kinda boring and that he's not entirely a fan of the famous detective trope! (He views people 2D-ish, he scripts everything out and etc etc, he needs some development in how he first views everyone)
He's pulling shenanigans (crimes) to get her attention, he ignores scarlette and kinda just abandons her in favor of a crush unintentionally, and eventually Amara DOES connect the two together on Alan and Show however she thinks showstopper kidnapped Alan. Kidnapped himself. And showstopper is Aware but he doesn't deny or agree cuz if she thinks he kidnapped himself surely she's more inclined to hunt him down
In his human identity, Alec Glen, he's been interacting with Amara occasionally in person befriending her and this is how he gets actual development, because Amara is willing to interact with an at first stranger albiet hesitantly before genuinely vibing with him but also willing to explain what she means cuz she's blunt and doesn't want this guy getting the wrong ideas and all
Eventually interacting with her he genuinely grows as a person, realizes he's been hurting his online friend this whole time, rushes away when Amara says something reminding him of scarlette, and it in turn endears amara to him abit cuz he rushed off worried about a friend seemingly which she can admire well enough and he reconnects with scarlette again, and finally thinks of the person behind the screen, finally curious about her, and in the end both scarlette and Amara help him grow enough he realized he fucked with Amara bad but is in a hole so deep he just can't get out
When he finally stops digging it and ends up stopping crimes for awhile it leads Amara to be genuinely frightened and she hunts him down, tldr he's willing to fess up, actively tsking at amara for pulling such a dangerous stunt, shes really lucky he doesnt WANT to hurt anyone here
He fesses up to all of it and admits he is Alan Warren, who she was looking for, as well as Alec Glen, the guy who ended up friends with her, he hasnt hurt anyone on purpose and always targetted bigger stuff (guy actively commissions a small artist so??? He has some sets of morals about this i guess)
The ending is Amara helping him get a support system and helping him since she can tell he isnt neccisarily a Bad Person, monster or not, he's the last addition to the monster found family she's been accidentally accumulating in the process of tryna catch him wjdbgVj
A bonus i like to imagine is he ends up meeting scarlette in person and its incredibly awkward for both people, cuz Alec is making it severely more awkward and if he wasnt scarlette would have found the shapeshifter commissioning her thing neat if alarming

Dashton human/single dad au
The Octonauts are a small environmental group that's part of a larger organization. Professor Inkling founded them and is their boss/connection to the larger parent organization (he used to work there). He stays in the office doing emails and budgets and stuff while some of the others go out into the field. Barnacles, Kwazii, and Peso are the main expedition team, with others tagging along now and then. They get samples, do animal rescues, and place trackers/monitoring equipment for the people back at homebase. Shellington is the resident biologist, Dashi is the data analyst, and Tweak is the engineer. Shellington and Dashi share a lab, but Tweak has her own space for all her machinery.
Shellington becomes an uncle and is absolutely enamored with Peri. After months of helping Pearl, and contracting a bad case of baby fever, he decides to get involved with the local Foster Care System. He sees it as a test to see if he does want to adopt.
Enter The Vegimals. They are octuplets that were left at orphanage when their parents realized just how much time and money eight kids was going to cost. Shellington was expecting one or two kids, but the social worker explains to him that he was one of the only people who said they were fine with any number. He's terrified but doesn't shirk the commitment he made.
Shellington is Going Through It as a single father of eight. He really does love The Vegimals, and they love him after a while, but he's starting to see why no one else wanted to take them. He has no time, no energy, and no money. He guiltily thinks about giving up and taking his name off the list of foster parents, but The Vegimals tell him stories of their previous homes. How no one wanted them even though they tried to be self-sufficient (why do you think they know how to cook) and if it didn't work out with him, the system would split them up. Shellington couldn't imagine being separated from Pearl potentially forever, so he keeps toughing it out.
But his performance at work is decreasing significantly. He's falling asleep at his desk, being scatter brained about important deadlines, distracted by a second freelancing job he got online, etc. Dashi and Inkling talk to him, and he confesses that he's at his wits end. As his friends, they promise to try to help. Inkling argues with the Board to get Shellington a raise and/or more time off. Dashi starts coming over and helps with laundry, cooking, dishes, and all the other chores that Shellington was meaning to do but never got around to.
Over time, it becomes clear that they both like each other but Shellington’s not in a place for a new relationship right now. The Vegimals love Dashi; they ask for her to pick them up from school or take them places and they secretly start thinking of her as their mom. Years go by and Shellington adjusts to the new busyness of his life and The Vegimals to the new stability of theirs. Shellington is finally happier than he ever was before. With the help of The Vegimals and the other Octonauts, Dashi proposes. Shellington cries and says yes.
And they all live happily ever after, the end.
