I was replaying Minecraft story mode. It was supposed to be episode seven, but things were a little… different.
The team and I went in the manor, finding LDShadowLady, DanTDM, and StampyCat. I knew we were supposed to be finding Cassie Rose, so I led everyone around, trying to find her.
We came into the room that would later be the one that Lukas was tricked by the white pumpkin. Knowing the secret, I immediately punched the picture frame, revealing a startled Cassie Rose.
We chased her through the secret tunnels, eventually landing in a large room that had a river. Cassie Rose did a villainous monologue, and Petra stayed right by my side, protecting me.
Outside the game, I thought to myself about how I’ve always been exposed to Jesskas in the fandom, but this was why I loved the Jesstra ship. They aren’t as lovey-dovey, but they still care deeply about each other and would defend the other with their life.
I paused the game and wrote down a ship dynamic thing like the one I saw on Tumblr, about the smart popular girl and the brooding tough girl. I think I wrote it with a blue SmartBoard marker, because it was really hard to write down neatly.
I came back to the game. Cassie Rose kept going on her spiel about how she was greater than all of us and was going to trap us all here while she went to freedom. She was cut off by a skeleton standing in the river that shot her in the face.
Lukas pulled off his elaborate skeleton costume and yelled at us to run. We ran outside, and saw a second huge dark oak wood manor floating in front of the one we just came out of. It was on a one-block-thick plain about three blocks off the ground, and it was incredibly tall.
Lukas and Petra stayed back to guard while I explored the place with Dan, Lizzie, and Stampy.
We went down a winding spire, and Lizzie shrugged and told us that there clearly wasn’t anything here, and we should go back. Stampy agreed, as the entire manor was giving him the creeps. I wasn’t having it though, and I broke the north wall, revealing a secret office room with the Warden sitting at a desk, waiting for us. We all tackled him.
He surrendered immediately, and I broke the wall behind him, revealing a huge room with a giant unfinished nether portal. It had iron bars framing where each block should go. I suddenly remembered seeing a strange enclosed room outside when we were entering the manor, this must’ve been it.
Dan, Lizzie, and Stampy told me to finish the portal. I was in creative mode now, and tried to add obsidian to the unfinished parts. Something told me this wasn’t right.
The Warden was calling out the word “blue” repeatedly, and I eventually came over to ask what that was all about. He just told me “blue” again, and I stared at him. He sighed and told me to use warped tree logs. I finally realized that this was a puzzle, and went back to work, but not before placing polished andesite all around the hole that led to the portal room. I didn’t want the Warden jumping in and ruining everything.
The obsidian I had placed changed to warped planks once I held it in my hands. I kept placing, then decided that polished andesite wasn’t enough, replacing it with obsidian. The Warden said “yup,” as I replaced it, understanding my caution. I thought for a second, then placed bedrock outside the obsidian to make extra sure he couldn’t break out. He said, “yup, thanks for that.” Then I finally went back to placing.
I had worked my way to the other side of the portal before I heard blocks breaking behind me. Then, the Warden zoomed into my line of sight and swung three times at me, killing me instantly.
I respawned outside with Lukas and Petra, who asked me what happened. I told them that the Warden killed me, which was weird because I was in creative mode. This wasn’t how the game was supposed to go.
Since Cassie Rose had messed with the plotline, I decided that I would, too. I donned my elytra, along with Petra, and we flew behind the original manor. Right behind it, the world ended, and there was a layer of oak planks one block beneath it, barely enough for us to squeeze through.
Petra and I flew back through it and found the spot where the climax of the story was supposed to happen, the pit filled with Endermites. There was a large hole in the wooden planks, lined by red nether bricks, that went down to the room where Cassie Rose kept the real flint and steel. Petra and I agreed to come back later and take it, then storm the floating manor.
We went back and explained the plan to everyone, everyone being Dan, Lizzie, Stampy, Lukas, and about a hundred random people that were in the original manor, apparently. Everyone was on board, and we gathered our weapons.
I went back and stole the flint and steel as everyone else marched outside to confront Cassie, who was floating in front of her manor. Apparently she had admin powers now. She laughed at us and flew inside, and we chased her.
In the floating manor’s ginormous living room, Cassie’s own army waited for us. We clashed.
I had an unenchanted netherite sword, and it took three swings to kill a person. That wasn’t very good, considering how almost everyone else had more powerful weapons. Even so, I held my own, killing Cassie’s soldiers left and right.
I found a person that had a stiff wrist, but a sword that looked like an enchanted gold katana. I killed him, then took his sword. It was enchanted with Wrist II, which assisted with the user’s wristwork. Even with this enchantment, the other guy was not very good at moving his sword.
I attacked a nearby soldier in full plated armour, and the sword cut through it like a hot knife through butter. They dropped immediately.
I clashed swords with another person, and their sword became horribly dented after hitting mine. I struck their sword again, bending it further, and then killed them.
My army was doing well. We were steadily gaining the upper hand. Then, I spotted Petra, cornered by four people. Technically three, as the fourth one was unarmed and a few feet behind their comrades, gloating. I killed the one in the back, and that brought everyone’s attention to me. I gestured for Petra to run, and she did.
One of the fighters, who resembled something of a small giant, started stomping, causing sonic damage. I mimicked him, jumping in sync with my more powerful sonic attack. This killed the other nearby enemies, and eventually the giant.
The battle came to a standstill, and I met with Luna from My Little Pony at the kitchen table. She told me that we were losing and we needed help, and she knew where to find it.
She took out some sort of kit and explained that she would call the creatures that little ponies feared. The horrible creatures from folktales, like Discord and a harpy. She started singing Confrontation of Jekyll and Hyde, and they started gathering in the kit. I noticed that they all looked like plastic toys, and a good chunk of them resembled my dragon figurines. I pointed this out to Luna, but she didn’t seem to care.
More and more toys started to appear, and I noticed two Discords who were identical, except for the shape of their eyes. I knew that his right eye was red and his left was yellow, but it was harder to see on one of them. Less so on the other, and his eyes looked more angry.
Eventually, I got impatient and grabbed one of the toys, a harpy, and threw it across the room. Everyone had found a hiding spot by now, terrified of what Luna was summoning. Once it hit the ground, the harpy came to life, and attacked our enemies. I tossed another toy, the Discord with the angry eyes. He came to life, growing larger and ready to kill.
I looked back at Luna and told her that I didn’t think we needed this many, there were barely any enemies left. She couldn’t stop at this point, and I even noticed Nightmare Moon in the pile. I wasn’t expecting Luna to want to summon her of all people.

There were two paths in front of Shrub, and neither looked good.
The first path was to refute it. But she layed it out so clearly, there was obviously no changing her mind.
So she chose the second. She grabbed a tendril of corruption out of her pocket and tried to wrap it around Gem, but the wizard broke that easily. So she leapt at her instead, but was beat down easily, until Gem had her tied, trapped behind her nether portal in her little magic cave.
"I cast a spell on the area before you came." Gem explains. "It was meant to try to pacify you and make this easier for both of us."
"So what?! What are you going to do with me? Sell me out to the others?! Kill me?" She hisses, her act completely dropped at this point.
From her expression you could tell Gem was expecting something like this, some kind of change in personality. But clearly not this harshly.
"Shrub, I want to help you. You've been corrupted... I'm sure I can make a potion to set you free." Her tone was kind, gentle and genuine, but Shrub didn't care. Her whole plan was not only threatened, but destroyed, by one measly wizard.
"No one can help me. I am Xornoth, Gem. He controls me. He took my people, my world, my family, and then he took me. There's nothing left to save." Tears had formed in her eyes, and it was unclear what kind of Shrub was there.
"Alright..." Gem wrote a few notes in her book, before returning her focus to Shrub. "Well. I'm going to go work on some potions, and do some research. Maybe there's some information on how to undo all of this." And then she was gone.
Everything was in ruins. Shrub was distraught, buried in so many conflicting emotions. So she didn't care at all when Xornoth made his way back to the front of her mind, took over, and teleported his way out of the binds the gnome had keeping her down, and right behind the wizard, working peacefully.
While Shrub obviously didn't know how to work the corruption, he did. He easily used it to bind her and then took her to the Undergrove, into a secret hidden area off of her underground tunnel that even Shrub herself was unaware of for the moment.
He tossed her into a corner, using his powers to make her weak and unable to break out, and too weak to try any attempt to fight him.
He removed the corruption from her eyes, and she stared at him for a while, seeming to search for any of the gnomes features.
"You won't find any hint of her." He grunts, saving her the time.
"Shrub..." She starts weakly, softly.
"Shrub isn't here right now. And even if she were she would not listen to you."
There were subtle tears in Gems eyes but she glares at the demon. "What did you do to her?! Where is the real Shrub?!"
Xornoth grins wide. "Well now wizard." The corruption and darkness dissipates from the gnomes body, and he's left standing as Shrubs normal form, eyes glowing red. "She's right here! I am Shrub. She works for me."
"You know what I mean. The real Shrub." She snarls, trying to get up but stumbling from the weakness he caused her to have.
The gnomes body laughs, the demon laugh echoing through the room. "It's funny!! You don't even KNOW the real Shrub and yet you're willing to fight for her!"
The wizard continues to try to stumble up and towards him. "Because I know she's good! Shrub is a sweet, funny, kind little gnome."
"Or so you think." He adds. "All this time you've only seen a facade. You've never known the true personality of Shrub. And you never will! Have fun rotting!" He blocks her in, leaving her weak, powerless, and alone, left to cry, able to be heard by no one.

Reblogging myself to add the following:
Go back and re-watch the intro to his first episode. He is literally the embodiment of "SQUIRREL!" every few seconds; distracted by anything and everything.
And, with just that 'ditsy' (AKA: scatterbrained) teaser, so much more of that intro actually makes sense now. The panic about the spiders is canon to his origin, so that already made sense, but watching this again you can really see he's leaning into that 'ditsy' headcanon, especially with his offhand mention of "while I may not always have the sharpest instincts".
Transcript behind the cut:
[excited gasp] Some ruins!
Ooh… what have we here? Some kind of old mine, maybe?
sounds of zombie groaning and drowned gurgling
[slightly-worried intake of breath] Or a dungeon of some kind? Perhaps I should be a bit better geared up first…
[brandishes axe at the catacomb entrance] Setting foot in a catacomb, not for the first time, my friends!
[spots a cute grey cow] I'm really going to have to come to terms with the fact that I will need to kill some of these cows. But right now… they're just too cute!
[spots giant airship] Oh my goodness, what is that?! Is that some kind of airship?!
[spots woodland mansion] And a woodland mansion!
[spots ruined nether portal] And a ruined nether portal! Oh my goodness, there's so many THINGS!
[looks up at airship again] What? Seriously, what the heck?!
[runs past woodland mansion, in the dead of night] Still, I have a destination in mind, and my destination is a little beyond the woodland mansion here. As long as nothing's about to pop out of this forest and kill me.
[spots a cave and runs into it] Ooh, maybe I can take shelter in a cave? Grab a couple of torches? Yes! Okay, perfect! Let's grab a little bit of coal here, and I don't know if we're going to find any remains of ancient civilisations in this cave; it's always worth a try... and look! [he digs up some lapis] Haha! A deposit of some local minerals! [he digs around some more] Although there does seem to be precious little else around here. Or maybe I'm just not that good at archaeology yet. Nope! Alas, it seems like I'm barking up the wrong tree. Just two lapis from this place. But who knows? Maybe we're just digging in the wrong place…
Coal, at least, I know how to extract, and potentially a little more efficiently than my fellows. While I may not always have the sharpest instincts, I've always had an abundance of luck. [canon to his origin: he has natural fortune 2]
[runs through the forest at night, arrows pinging behind him] Ehhh, this luck might be about to run out! OH GOD, that's a woodland creeper! Ohhh, yikes! Haha!
[swims through a river, examining its underwater banks] Oooh! There are some very interesting minerals down here, BUT THERE'S A TRIDENT-FLINGING DROWNED! Haha! I definitely am not equipped to deal with him yet.
[chased by a spider: canon to his origin, he's terrified of these and takes double damage from them] And the local spiders aren't all that great either. [shudders] Heurgh, no! No thank you!
[swims through another river] Then we are getting a little closer to the site I've been looking for.
[at dawn on the shore, a spider comes at him] Aaaah! NO! [smacks it with an axe and jumps back] NO! [smacks again with the axe] Oh god! [smacks again] NO! [spider dies]
[breathes a sigh of relief] Well, at least the sun is starting to come up [breathless] and I can regain my composure. What a lovely little beach! But, around here, an abundance of resources.
[opens his backpack, takes out some bread] Looks like it's time to probably have a little breakfast.
[digs up some copper from the shoreline] I'll take a few mineral samples from the local area. I'm always happy to have some copper!
[spots a ship in the distance] Oh my goodness. There's a corsair ship! Right off the coast of the island that I wanted to go to! But.. it kind of looks like they're leaving? I shall make my way up on the other shore, and cross my fingers that I don't merit their attention.
[spots pillager outpots behind the ship, almost completely sunk into the water] It seems like they've tried to establish an outpost here, and [laughs] not had the smartest idea of where to build it.
[spots a huge ocean monument] But beyond there, that may be where the true treasure lies!
For now, I shall be content to rely on my knowledge of geology, and search the local area for some iron. There are even deposits of calcite and deepslate on the surface here! [an otter wanders by, glancing up at him] And… the local fauna seems [laughs] very cute!
[goes back to watching the ocean monument] But if I am to beat them to the punch and investigate what's going on out there in that ocean monument, I shall need a field office. A place to work from. A place to keep my notes and research. And… potentially a place to hide from the spiders when they come out at night. So, you know what? It's time to put these tools to work!
Pix - "I've decided, canonically, I'm a bit ditsy."
Scatterbrained archaeologist? That is SO perfect.

Beware the Beast
Pairing: Yandere!Philza x Reader
Request: Maybe some yandere!philza headcanons? You don’t have to!
Word Count: 2k
Warning: yandere, swearing, talk about kidnapping, depression (kinda detailed on that aspect)
A/n: I accidentally turned this into a story- i really need to stop doing that. But I just couldn't resist! Also sorry if Phil is OOC. And this isn't proofread. We die like men here. Can be perceived as platonic or romantic.
This man has lived many years, lost so many loved ones. He’s getting tired of this cycle. It’s truly exhausting. You start to care about the world less. After a while, you start to see too many similarities in things, making it hard to look at. So he starts to close his heart to others. It’s just easier that way, for both parties. Saves him from the heartbreak and them from… well, him. He also stops caring for himself. After all, he’s literally immortal. Nothing can kill this man, so neglecting some self care routines every once in a while wouldn’t hurt…
But this becomes such a bad habit of his. He barely cares for himself after a while. It’s hard to find the energy when it isn’t going to matter in the end. Nothing matters anyways. Every action will always prove fruitless in the end. So what’s the point in doing something so... small if it takes this much energy? If a past version of himself saw Phil now, they’d be disgusted. Telling him to just get up and care for himself. Come on, you’re immortal. Nothing can kill you. Just do this.
He’s a mess when you two meet. His platinum-blonde hair was mostly neat, a little shaggy. It was obvious that he just got himself cleaned up a bit. One can only do so much about deep eyebags, dull hair, and lifeless eyes on such short notice.
You were introduced to him through Ghostbur. Phil was overjoyed that Ghostbur was making more friends. Though much less pleased when Ghostbur insisted that he’d bring his new friend over to meet Phil. Oh come on Phil, you’d just love them. They’re so nice! What tortured Philza more than his first interaction with you? His conversations with Ghostbur about you. He’d just prattle on about things you and him did, about how much fun you two had and how nice you were. Always nice.
And you were nice, an absolute sweetheart. But much too perky for Philza’s liking. You two had been chatting for quite a while when Ghostbur silently leaves you two together. Well, you’re chatting. Phil is just listening to you, hoping that you’d leave at any moment. Some topics were brought up; they were mostly some small icebreakers to get acquainted more.
When your past was brought up, you’d always paint this fucking picture-perfect past. So peaceful. God, the envy he had of you, of the peace you experienced in your life- He felt bad for it, honestly, he did. But he just wished he could’ve had even a fraction of the prosperity you spoke about. For someone living in the DSMP, you had a relatively easy and steady life. No war, no major or sudden loss or anything of that sort. A perfect life.
After that, you just kept coming back. Why? Why are you coming back? Are you here to taunt him for the life he lived? For the life he’ll never have? Is some god sending you as a punishment? A living example of everything he gave up, had to leave behind. That’s what he believed, anyways.
That was far from your intentions. You saw how he was in your first meeting; jumpy yet dissociating from reality. An oppressive, glum aura seemed to just emanate him. So downtrodden and dead inside, yet so obviously alive on the outside. It hurt to see him like that, as you went through something similar. You had no idea how long he’d been like that, but you decided that you’d help him in any way that you could.
You tried to make it a daily thing. Everyday you’d go to Phil’s house around midday to afternoon. You two would talk for a bit, but you’d couldn’t help sprinkling your questions in. Have you eaten yet, mr. Philza? Have you had water today, mr. Philza? Have you preened your feathers, mr. Philza? Have you bathed today, mr. Philza?
Your questions irked Phil. Everyday, without fail, you’d come and talk to him. It’d be small talk at first; what the weather was up to that day, some light politics, Tubbo’s new adopted son. Small. Yet you’d always bring up his self care. He was a fcking grown man. He could take care of himself. What’s worse? You’d pester him to care for himself in that instant if he even showed a small sign of negligence. And you’d stay the entire time, making sure he did everything. And then you’d always add “mr. Philza” on the end. It was a sign of respect, yet it upset him so much. But he couldn’t exactly pinpoint what it was.
Though it was annoying, it got him in the habit of caring for himself. It was only to stop your pesting! That’s the reasoning. The only reason. It wasn’t because you’re congratulating and giving him treats when he remembered to care for himself. Or you petting his wings… Those were only bonuses! He swears!
It becomes more steady as time goes on; you go and visit Phil, you talk with Phil and see if he’s caring for himself, and if he was, you’d reveal a delicious treat from within your enderchest. You two would talk while munching on the food, having fun sharing what your pasts were like. Well, more like yours. Phil didn’t really talk about his.
But he still seems so cold, disinterested. Even with how long you’ve been going over for. Like he’s only listening to what you’re telling him. If he’s even listening. And seeing how he interacted with others like Techno and Ranboo, it really disheartened you. He was so much more lively with them, more natural. Loud laughing and silly little antics. It only took a few small, insignificant depression episodes for your self doubt to finally debilitate you. Though it only really affected your contact with Phil; he was a big insecurity of yours.
So you start to distance yourself. You were hurting and saw yourself as a bother to Philza. It would’ve been better if you just didn’t try to talk to him anymore. He’d be so much happier without you bugging him all the time. All of this sudden, open time gives you much more empty hours. There was nothing to do. So you did what you could; you went out to make or strengthen friendships. It was so nice. You never realized how everyone on the smp was so nice. Maybe they weren’t as bad as Phil was making them all out to be…
Philza was upset the first day you weren’t there. You were such a steady element of his day. You were like the very air he breathed; it was extremely hard to live without you. He never noticed before how much he needed you. Yes, he knew that he really enjoyed you, saw that you were a pillar, a constant in his life. He came to enjoy your visits, but hadn’t realized how dependent he became because of them. It was day three when Phil started to worry about you. Why hadn’t you come to talk with him, like usual? He’s taking care of himself, just for you, just like you kept insisting he do. And he made you some cake.
He knew he was acting odd, lovesick even. His love for you was toxic, extremely so. It wasn’t healthy, yet he couldn’t care less anymore. You were like his nicotine to a smoker; he couldn't live without you being in his life. His everyday life. So after some debating, he finally went out to look for you.
Traversing the nether wasn’t too bad, but still a tedious walk. He was stuck in his mind the entire trip there, wondering where you could be and what you could be doing. Maybe you got caught up in making something. A redstone project? That’d be pretty cool. Or maybe moving? No, if you were, you’d have told him. But that didn’t stop him from speeding up just a wee bit. Just to make sure you were actually still on the smp.
His mind was racing, thinking of any possibility of what you were doing. And his mind eventually hit something that absolutely terrified him; you could be sick, injured, or dying. It felt like the world just fucking stopped. This was a sudden loss of contact and you still hadn’t come to talk with him. So that… that means there’s a high probability of you being in danger.
He ran the rest of the way to the main part of the smp. When he came out of the portal, he frantically looked around for any sign of you. For your house. Then it hit him; he had no idea where you lived. You only mentioned it being cold where you lived, just like where he lived. So that most likely meant Snowchester. He started running toward the cold nation
On his way to Snowchester, he observed his surroundings. A little bit. He had to get to you, keep his eye on the prize. And he was glad that he looked around. There you were, on another part of the prime path.
He was overjoyed to see you, especially doing so well. Soon he came to a stop. Just floored by the fact you were there, in front of him. Frantically he tried to view you as best he could, looking for any sign of injury or illness.
Now he couldn’t come across as clingy or desperate. That wasn’t how you knew him. You know him as Philza; the kind but a mild social recluse. Not really going out to others unless he needed something or he was needed.
So he walked over to you, trying his best to look nonchalant. Like he wasn’t just desperately searching for you a moment ago. He called out to you and guess what happened? You started to walk away. He was stunned. Did you just ignore him? No, you must not have heard him. It was kinda windy out at the moment.
Logically he did the best option, following you. He had no clue where your destination could be. You were going to a different area of the smp than he had been. My how the smp changed since the destruction of L’manberg. He knew it changed, but it seemed so much bigger than what you described.
He didn’t exactly pay attention to where you were indirectly leading him. That was until a flash of movement caught his attention. Snapping out of it, he looked to see what could’ve been going on. Who could’ve been there. And what he saw before him was a terrible sight.
Quackity stood by your side, animatedly chatting with you. Phil was confused as to why you were talking to Quackity of all people. You two recently talked about how Quackity was problematic and arrogant. If you knew that, then why were you talking to him?
Awkwardly he watched you. Not within earshot, but where he could keep an eye on you and Quackity. And Quackity was looking at Phil too. His eyes spoke volumes; Quackity wasn’t pleased that Phil was there. Boy was that sentiment shared. It was tense between the two, yet you still seemed oblivious to what was going on.
Then Quackity said something, putting his hand on your shoulder and leading you somewhere else. But gave one last look at Phil, one that just spoke “fuck off”. Phil wished he could’ve told Quackity the same. To get him away for you.
Quackity’s action sparked a thought in him. A reason as to why you hadn’t come to talk to Phil; Quackity must’ve kidnapped you! Yes, that’s why you hadn’t come. It makes so much sense. Quackity knows you and most likely knows you talk to Phil.
With how easily you tell Phil of the people you’re talking to, he doubts that the behavior would just change. But that’s what must’ve gotten you in so much trouble; you were too trusting, too kind-hearted. You gave Quackity a chance and he was stealing you away, imprisoning you. You needn’t worry dear, he’ll rescue you from that foul man.

Yknow what? Let's try a lil trope I've seen surprisingly VERY little of in this fandom. (And by little I mean 1 fic)
Bodyswap.
Let's do uhhhhh
Clingyduo.
I think Tubbo should be reminded of the fact that Tommy exists and Tommy.... Well let's not pretend that he's doing well anyways so what harm can waking up as your estranged best friend in the fucking arctic commune that he's apparently living in do? Also gives him a chance to spend some time with Baba again.
Baba my beloved.
I'm officially back so I'm about to go through some of the old prompts I got here in the inbox, I'm not taking anymore though, 'cause they're kinda long to do.
You're right, there really isn't that much body swap in this fandom, is there? No role swap AUs either. It's peculiar.
Tubbo's morning was going great! He made breakfast for himself and Michael, then he played with him a bit, before leaving him with Ghostboo to go meet up with Techno for a tea.
That certainly wasn't a friendship he'd expected to develop after the Red Festival, but the universe always did have a way of surprising him. Normally the surprises weren't quite as positive as handing him the best defense he could hope for on a silver platter, but he wouldn't complain about it, that was for sure.
He started feeling sick as he climbed the stairs to Techno's front door. He was incredibly dizzy and nauseous, just like he got when he was so invested in his work he forgot to eat. He had breakfast though. He sat down for a moment, hoping it was just a wave of fatigue that would pass soon, that seemingly wasn't the case. His sight blacked out for a moment, and he found himself folded in two and retching on all over the floor.
That would definitely lower Techno's propriety value.
"Hm. I didn't think I hit you that hard..." a familiar voice spoke up in a tone Tubbo didn't recognize. It was light and playful, but also there was something wrong with it. It was like walking into a house and finding everything moved just one centimeter to the left. Just enough to be noticeable but not enough to make it impossible to ignore.
"Tommy? You're really out of shape" Dream. That was Dream. His hand was touching Tubbo's hair, tangling itself into them in a motion that was almost soothing, and, for just a moment, Tubbo pretended it was Ranboo there with him, consoling like he would any time Tubbo woke up screaming with half of his body ablaze with phantom pains. "Tommy, my Tommy, you truly are a mess without me..." but Dream had to ruin it.
Tubbo swatted his hand away. He stumbled away and got to his feet and, finally, his brain registered what Dream just said. "Tommy? I'm not Tommy!" he was sure it was his mouth that moved, and yet it was Tommy's voice that came out.
"... Did you hit your head when you fell over? Well, that's fine, amnesia could be fun-" before the man could finish, Tubbo turned tail and ran.
He needed time to think, time to figure this out. He needed somewhere calm, somewhere protected. He immediately turned right at the Community House, booking it for the portal. He could hear Dream behind him, calling out for Tommy and promising him death and immortality all in one breath. Tubbo ran faster.
Miraculously, he managed to make it all the way to Techno's cabin without slipping once. Dream had seemingly stopped following once he left the Nether, but he didn't trust that, so he didn't slow down once.
He was out of breath and terrified and when he saw his own body just chilling snuggled in Baba's tight embrace he decided he could add anger to the list.
"What the fuck. You leave me to get chased by the guy who threatened to kill me and just dip?!" he yelled, marching up to who he could only assume was Tommy now trapped in Tubbo's body.
Tommy looked up blearily. He seemed tired, exhausted really. "I mean, he did kill me and you had no problem leaving me with him..." he was bitter but there was also an undercurrent of resignation there as if he already accepted that his argument wouldn't be listened to so he didn't bother putting too much effort into it.
"I didn't abandon you!" Tubbo yelled once more. He knew as the words came out that they weren't true. He hadn't really spared a thought for his best friend in months, not even as Dream broke out, not even as his little family was reunited and he was offered a safe haven by the guy who freed Dream in the first place. Even just to say he assumed Tommy would be alright would be untrue, as that would imply he thought about him at all.
"Right, well, don't let me inconvenience your cushy little life here. I'm sure once Dream finds out I'm in this body he'll drop you as fast as you dropped me" Tommy got up, to Baba's great displeasure, and he walked away. He bumped his shoulder hard against Tubbo out of pettiness when he passed by him, and, surprisingly, it hurt. Only inside though.

Hermit DSMP Swap AU: Part 4
... Skeppies- not in his house... he was in his mansion. Now he is in a mine. That’s not normal, or shouldn't be normal. Who knows what’s normal really. “I reject normal,” He muttered to himself before turning and yelling down the mineshaft “Baaaaaad... Very funny Bad!” He started back down the mine shaft, Bad had to be hiding around a corner up here somewhere. “How did you do it?... Bad?” No response “Bad! Stop hiding already, I know you’re there.”
Wait, what was this. Skeppy stopped and squinted at the mineshaft walls. He’s a literal diamond, Skeppy knows a thing or two about rocks, and this was a rock he had never seen before. The whole wall was made up of large patches of this dark scaly stone. He knocked his knuckles against it, his diamond skin barely scratching it. “What the hell?” He said and was disappointed when Bad didn't interrupt with his typical ‘language.’ This gave him an idea. He cursed louder. Still silence. Skeppy frowned. Maybe Bad really wasn’t there.
“Well, I'm leaving now. Last chance.” Still nothing. There was a sinking feeling in Skeppy’s chest. Bad wasn’t there. If this wasn’t a prank then what was this. Skeppy hurried down the mineshaft wasting no time in finding the ladder and climbing out into the sunlight. He exited the little house at the top only glancing back down the mine shaft once through the glass floor. He came out on the edge of a bay, mountains and trees behind him. There was some dirt scaffolding laid out in a massive square across the water, and a nether portal and some chests could be seen on a tiny island in the distance.
He blinked at it for a minute and then Skeppy did what he always did when he didn’t know what to do. He started yelling.
“Hey yooo! Anyone, there!? Anyone out there?! Hellooooo, I’m talking to you!?” His voice echoed back to him and the water lapped softly against the beach. Skeppy scowled “Well, if you don’t want to be friendly then I’ll just leave. How about that? You hear me? I’m leaving, never returning. Not coming back.” He shouted for the benefit of any hypothetical hiding onlookers as he marched into the forest and started climbing the hill.
The forest quickly thinned and the hill became more of a cliff, and soon he was climbing over rocky boulders and through flat patches of blue-green grass with the occasional grazing sheep. He came over the next hill and stopped short. The mountain dropped off in front of him and in the plain below looked to be some kind of a village. He squinted; a collective of houses built around what looked to be some kind of pole.
He heard a bleating sound behind him and turned just as something white with horns rammed into him, knocking him off the cliff and sending him tumbling down the rocky slope, head over heels, till he slid to a stop at the bottom. He looked up at the blue sky and groaned. If he wasn’t a literal rock, he would have been covered in bruises. As it was he still felt like shit.
“Well look at what the goat dropped in.” Someone laughed. Skeppy tilted his head back to look behind him, everything upside down. A man in a red sweater cast his shadow over him.
He smiled and the corners of his eyes creased, his shadow growing as a pair of wings spread slightly behind him “Hey there, you seem new, welcome to Boatem town.”
“Uuuuu... hey there?”
“You just gonna to lie there, buddy?” He laughed again, reaching out a hand.
Skeppy blinked and shook his head rolling over and taking the offered hand as the man helped him up.
“By the way, I’m Grian, whatcha doing out here?”
“Skeppy, and I, with my excellent sense of direction, was exploring and definitely not lost in any way. I know exactly where I am. And I’m definitely not the victim of some unnamed prankster” He said, starting to walk towards the village and looking around. They were behind a big mossy house.
“Oooh, a prank you say, I’ve got to hear this.” Grian said, following. They walked around the house into the village center, a tower of boats hovered in the middle over an ominous pit.
“Naaah it’s boring really,” Skeppy waved his hand dismissively as he stopped near the edge of the Boatem hole and peered over. It went all the way down to bedrock, like L’manburg. “Huh... interesting...”
“Ah, yes. That is the Boatem hole, we're planning on opening it up to the void at some point.” Grian explained.
“The void? Wait, you can do that? That sounds awesome. Imagine the pranks you could pull with that” Skeppy said his curiosity getting the better of his caution.
“I know right, Scar’s already fallen down there several times,”
“Hey Grian, who’s your friend there?” A man with in a maroon coat and a tinny hat said coming over. When he came closer Skeppy noticed a long scar running diagonally across his nose and face.
“Hey Scar! Speak of the devil,” Grian called out to the aptly named man. “This is Skeppy, he’s absolutely not lost.” Grian quipped, smiling, his voice full of sarcasm.
“You’re lost you say,” Scar said his voice full of all the honey of a car salesman. Skeppy would know, he used the same honeyed tone when trying to talk Bad or Techno into something that probably wasn’t going to end all that well for them but would be absolutely hilarious to watch.
“Not lost,” Skeppy quickly corrected.
“Well even those who aren’t lost are trying to get somewhere. I’m sure you wouldn’t object to us sharing a shortcut or too.”
This man was good. Skeppy didn’t want to look too desperate though. Just add a bit of hesitation sprinkled with some skepticism, that should do it “Well... I suppose a shortcut sounds like a good idea. I am heading for the Badlands, know a faster way to get there?”
Skeppy was met with vacant looks, the car salesman gone. “Actually I have no idea where that is,” Scar shrugged sheepishly “How about you Grian,”
Grian shook his head “Nope... now that I think about it, how did you get on the server anyway,”
“Um... I... I think, I think I just spawned... It’s hard to remember honestly, it’s been so long.” Skeppy frowned at the strange question.
Grian and Scare glanced at each other in shock. New players weren't born, they were spawned, but it was very rare for players to spawn for the first time in a community server. Usually they spawned in a private server and then moved into a community when they found one that worked for them.
“Oh!” Skeppies eyes went wide with realization then horror. If a diamond could blanch, Skeppy was the closest thing to that. “...This isn’t the Dream SMP, is it?”
“Oh dear...” Grian Muttered, “That’s not good.”
---
TFC had been mining. Now he was standing in the middle of a quartz building. That wasn’t normal. His connection to the server had always been a bit glitchy. Maybe this was just another instance of server glitch. He had been frozen in place for days, lagged out, and even defended. Teleportation could just be added to that list. And it wasn’t all that bad, it’s not like it dumped him in the middle of the ocean or lava. As it was, it seemed like he was in someone's starter base.
He walked down the stairs and out the glass front doors. There were pools of water to either side of a walkway and the yard was cluttered with large colorful statues. A muffin, a duck. Goodness the hermits were already at it with the pranks this season.
He walked around the statues and came to the front gate of the grounds. A long wooden path lead off in one direction, and wrapped around behind the mansion in the other. A large red multi story building loomed in the distance. The hermits really had gotten busy.
It was always nice to see what other people were making but he needed to get back to his mine. He took the path following it around the back of the mansion. The path dropped off suddenly. He jumped down and landed with a grunt before taking some bread out of his pocket and munching on it as he rounded the corner of the quartz building's foundation.
He faltered as his eyes fell on a massive blackstone building looming out of the sea, two imposing lava infused towers book ending the walls at either side... And he had thought the Red build had been big for early game. This was definitely too big for early game... even by hermit standards.
He slowly walked closer. Beyond the Quartz house was mostly just an open field until it reached the water. As he got closer he noticed his pickaxe suddenly become unnaturally heavy. It felt strangely like Mining Fatigue. What would a Guardian be doing out here? He returned his pick to his inventory. TFC had seen a lot of things in his time, and this thing felt off.
“Pst..”
TFC jumped and looked around for the source of the noise.
“Over here,”
Now he noticed the footprints in the ground and a floating potion bottle. That sounded like Etho.
“Etho?” TFC queried.
“Yeah, it’s me. Here drink this, I can explain later,” Etho said, shoving the potion into TFC’s work calloused hands.
TFC looked down at the bottle of bubbling silver liquid for a moment before uncorking it and downing the liquid. He trusted the young man with his life.
---
Sam started up from his chair in the dark room where he had been flipping through the prison's security camera feeds, lit only by the glow of the computer screens. He expanded the outside front camera feed to full screen and rewound the feed. A strange old man he had never seen before slowly approached the beach by the prison then just disappeared. Who the hell was that and why did he take an invis potion.
Sam scowled. “Not on my watch,” he muttered, summoning his trident from his inventory and marching for the exit.

Dream SMP Recap (February 9/2021) - New Lands, Sapnap’s Visit
It wouldn’t be the Dream SMP without emotional whiplash, now would it?
As tensions between Puffy and Ponk have escalated, Karl takes Sapnap and George with him on a journey to a new land to live in, starting a brand new country to house his library.
What was at first a fun time building the library quickly turned serious, as Sapnap decided that now was the time to pay Dream a visit.
---
VOD LINKS:
Ponk
Tubbo
Jack Manifold
Ranboo
Captain Puffy
Foolish Gamers
Karl Jacobs
Sapnap
Badboyhalo
---
- Ponk is angry at Puffy’s arson from yesterday. He asks Niki for advice on what to do. She says she would burn a house down in revenge.
- He also speaks with Foolish.
- Ponk destroy’s Puffy’s mushroom house, leaving her homeless again.
- Ponk also gets a tour from Warden Sam of the prison. Not to visit, just to be shown the mechanics.
- He tries to run up the guards’ spiral staircase but when Sam attacks him, he backs down. Sam is irritated at this.
- Ponk and Sam have an argument about tridents.
- Later, Sam tells Ponk that every friendship goes through fights occasionally, and he forgives Ponk.
- Ponk continues on his Valentines’ Day plans.
- Ranboo accidentally kills Jjjjjjjjeffrey with sweeping edge. Mr. Krabs adds insult to injury.
- Tubbo does an abstract bit.
- Ranboo kills several more pets. He is not having a good day.
- Puffy finds out about the destruction. She’s upset.
- Realistically, she should get retaliation, but she doesn’t know if she should even bother.
- Foolish comes over to where her house used to be, and Puffy says she knows about Foolish’s involvement earlier. She thanks her son for trying to save her house.
Foolish says he was too late, but Puffy replies that it only mattered that he tried.
- Karl comes online with plans to move his library. Sapnap arrives as well and Karl tells him that he has nothing to his name on the server except the library.
The llamas in Party Park have begun to unionize, and though cleaning up L’manhole would be the responsible thing to do, they are definitely not going to do that.
- George comes online as Karl dismantles the library.
- They start walking down the path to look for an area to build their new country.
Sapnap: “We lost our best friend recently. He’s in prison.”
Sapnap also notices that the Community House has been rebuilt, but...it’s not the same.
- George performs a special ceremony at Spawn.
- They set off, heading out past Spawn in that direction.
- Sapnap gets concerned that they’re heading out so far. He doesn’t want to get too far from the prison.
- They make it to the flower forest biome past Alyssa’s Barn.
- Karl decides on a nice little cliffside to build the library in. He sets down a rule for the other two: a flower that is picked up must be placed down again.
- Sapnap is the protector, as resident tough guy.
- Captain Puffy visits the Temple of Undying to admire Foolish’s building. Foolish helps cheer her up.
- Sapnap reveals that he’s brought Beckerson and Mars with him. They can be the country’s most prized possessions. The oldest pets on the server.
- They plant and grow the first red-spotted mushroom. Karl deems it sacred and unbreakable.
- They repurpose Alyssa’s Barn for mushroom growing.
- They shelter from the rain under the sacred mushroom.
- They start building.
- Bad magics his way over to help with the building. Karl explains that the mushroom is sacred. Bad compares their country to a fungal growth.
- As they’re building, Karl tells Bad that in a perfect world, everyone on the SMP would join this country. There’s no duel citizenship. Everyone can join (barring Skeppy)
Bad is appreciative of the invitation.
- They continue building. Foolish arrives to assist!
- A pillager raid comes through and Sapnap kills them. As he does so, a white horse wanders by. Sapnap declares it their special horse. It can be their Horsecretary.
- The building continues!
- Dream joins VC and viewer wars break out between Sapnap and Foolish as Dream encourages everyone to try and get their viewer counts to be equal.
- Foolish heads back to his beautiful, stunning, gorgeous summer house to show on his stream.
- Sapnap gets a bright idea to go to the prison and visit Dream.
- Sam joins the call and Sapnap tells him he’s trying to get through the prison portal.
- Sam asks if Sapnap actually wants to visit Dream, and Sapnap says yes...
-
--- SAPNAP’S PRISON VISIT ---
-
- Sapnap tries to get into the prison and asks Awesam to let him visit Dream.
- Awesam agrees. Sapnap isn’t sure if he was ready, or if this is the optimal time, but he ends up going through.
- Sam asks the questions.
This is Sapnap’s first time visiting.
His residence is in a new place that he and Karl are creating.
He believes Dream is deserving of being locked up.
Sapnap: “We used to be best friends...”
Sam: “’Used to be?’”
Sapnap: “Yeah, I dunno...where we stand anymore, it’s kinda...yeah.”
Sam: “What does that mean?”
Sapnap: “Well, I dunno...I don’t know if he’s the same anymore. I don’t know if he’s the Dream -- my Dream anymore. My best friend.”
- Sapnap reviews the waivers
- They start making their way through the prison. Sapnap is nervous.
- Sapnap signs the other two waivers.
- They reach the lava wall.
Sam: “Good luck getting him to talk.”
Sapnap: “What do you mean? ...Is he not talkative”
Sam: “Something like that.”
- Dream’s cell walls are spotted in crying obsidian.
Sam: “And Sapnap?”
Sapnap: “Yeah?”
Sam: “I hope that you’re the one.”
- Sapnap enters the cell.
“...Hello? Dream? ....You okay?”
- Dream is silent, holding the clock. He hands Sapnap a book that says: “I am not talking.”
- His clock is now labelled “DO NOT BURN”
Dream: “you took so long.”
Sapnap: “You hurt a lot of people, but...you hurt specifically me...took me a little bit to decide to come and see you...”
Sapnap: “You’re better than this.”
- Dream looks at his clock, turning away from Sapnap.
Sapnap: “Once upon a time, we were best friends. If you’re gonna talk to anyone, you can talk to me.”
- Dream turns back to Sapnap, now holding the clock in his offhand while he writes in the book.
Dream: “im on strike”
- Sapnap asks what for, then if Dream is okay.
- Sapnap asks why the cell looks so run-down, with the crying obsidian dripping everywhere.
“it was a security measure.” [The crying obsidian]
“ill get out one day.”
- Sapnap insists that Dream has to stay locked up.
Sapnap: “I love you man, but you gotta stay here...this is where you belong for now.”
- Dream hands him the book.
“i spend days i broke the lectern i was making a portal and he did this.”
- Sapnap says that he can’t try and escape. He misses Dream, Sapnap says that they can be friends, that he can come and visit, that George can come and visit, but he has to stay here.
“Please don’t try and escape.”
- Dream runs over and throws the clock in the lava. Sapnap is worried that he’ll make Awesam mad and make things worse for himself.
“eventually.”
“eventually.”
“eventually.”
“eventually.”
- Sapnap repeatedly tells him no.
Sapnap: “If you try and break out early...you know, you only have one life left, okay? And...I don’t think it’s gonna be Tommy. It’s not gonna be Techno, Dream...If you break out of this prison, it’s gonna be me who takes your final life. And it’s not because I have any resentment towards you or anything --”
Dream moves towards the lava but stops.
“-- But it’s because this is where you need to be, Dream.”
Dream’s head turns towards Sapnap and he takes another step towards the lava.
“You have to stay here, okay? We can still be friends, I can come and visit you, but you need to stay here.”
Dream moves back to the back of the cell.
“can you pass a message”
“he stopped visiting”
- Sapnap asks who
“ranboo”
- Sapnap asks what message
“:)”
- Sapnap says he’ll pass along the message.
“thank you”
- Sapnap asks if, if he passes along the message, Dream will behave. If he’ll stop acting up and throwing his clocks away.
Dream finally speaks, though it’s barely a whisper.
"Yes.”
- Sapnap says he’ll visit Dream more, and asks if he wants George to visit as well. Dream hands him the book again.
“yes and tell the warden i need a new clock”
- Dream signs the book.
“thank you for visiting me” is the final message.
- Sapnap says he’s ready to leave. Sam tells him to stand in the water.
Sapnap and Dream stand in the water together and they die by the potion together.
- Sapnap tells Sam that he spoke, and that he said he’d be better. That he needs a new clock. Sam is exasperated.
- Sapnap asks how long it’s been since he spoke to someone else. Sam says it’s been quite a while.
- When’s the last time he saw someone?
- The last person to visit him was Ranboo.
- Sam asks if he told Sapnap anything else. Sapnap says no.
- Sam kills Sapnap with Warden’s Will, sending him to Spawn.
- Sapnap comes back to the prison. Sam lets him through the portal.
- Sam explains that he just thought it was strange that Dream would talk to Sapnap, and had to “make sure.” Sapnap says it’s fine and leaves the prison with his things.
- Ranboo joined the game.
- Sapnap whispers to Ranboo that he wants to talk. They meet at the Community House.
Sapnap tells him about the prison visit, saying that Dream doesn’t seem the same. He doesn’t even talk now. He tells Ranboo that he was told that Ranboo was the last person to visit. He asks if Ranboo remembers anything about his visit, anything off.
Ranboo, of course, doesn’t remember much.
- Sapnap gives Ranboo the message:
:)
- Ranboo freezes and goes silent, then runs away into the Nether. Sapnap is confused.
- Just as Sapnap is ending stream, Ranboo sends a message in game chat written in Enderman.
Doomed are those who try to run, for it always catches up eventually :)
---
Upcoming events remain the same.
Bad also mentioned that he has an upcoming lore stream that he’s scheduling, though it involves a particular person whose schedule makes them difficult to get a hold of for it.

Trampolinist - Part Two
Part summary: You encounter a few strange teenagers, discover blown-up ruins, and find out about who caused them.
Warnings: mild anxiety, thoughts of murder, blood, threats, lots of swears
A/N - I got a good few requests asking for a taglist for Trampolinist, so here it is! Just ask and you shall be added!
@lemonmochitea
@dad-ee-drea
@victoria-a567
Also, this is non-canon compliant, but only by a bit. I may change a few small details.
Hope y’all enjoy!
(Also, if you can find the movie reference I put in here, then kudos to you!)
——
A lingering curiosity sits in the back of your head for the rest of the week, not quelled by any amount of Bedwars or Skywars, which leave you exhausted in the evenings.
Even your dreams hold inquisitiveness.
How lovely.
Eventually you have to go back to your home world to check on your animals, repair your tools and the like. It’s tedious work, but nothing you can’t handle.
Boredom eventually sets in.
It’s unnerving. You never get bored of combat, of competition between your fellow players and teammates, but here you are, eyeing the list of servers on your grid.
Only two people are on the server at the moment, their names not available for whatever reason. You’d prefer to pop on when there were no people online, mostly to scope out the server, but you’ll take only having to deal with two people.
Hopefully they’re adults and not kids that recently learned to use portals.
You stick your pointer finger out, curl it like you’re dragging it down a wall; a ripple starts where your finger lands, slowly following its path downwards. It rips a hole through the fabric of woven servers, creating a direct link to the Dream SMP. You just hope that no one attempts to close the portal, as opening one in the first place takes a good deal of energy and effort.
A sight of spruce trees and misplaced dirt greets your vision through the rip in reality.
An odd spawnpoint, but whatever. You’re not one to judge.
In the corner of your eye, where chat normally sits, a message pops up.
TommyInnit: who the fcuck
TommyInnit: what
TommyInnit: NEWY PERFHSAON
Ranboo: ah yes, perfhsaon
TommyInnit: shut the fuck n up
You chuckle at the messages rapidly crowding the chat, watching them fade idly while trying to find a way out of the really weird spawnpoint, which is, for some reason, walled off by a combination of dirt, wood and stone haphazardly placed down, as if in a hurry.
Your efforts do not go unrewarded as you spot a section of the wall that sits lower than the rest, low enough to climb over if you try hard enough.
Perfect.
Feet hit the ground rapidly as you get a running start towards the wall, scrambling upward after you jump. You fall almost immediately off the other side.
“Ouch.”
“That looked like that hurt.”
You glance upward to meet heterochromic eyes, red and green contrasting with the curious face split in half by its black and white sides. A tail flicks behind the person as their crown slips a bit down their head.
“Wh—the fuck?”
The figure laughs at your reaction, offering a gloved hand out to help you off the ground. Hesitantly, you accept, being pulled up easily, and that’s when you realize that he’s a lot taller than you thought.
“Jesus, you’re tall,” you comment idly, brushing yourself off. “Thanks, by the way.”
“No problem. I’m Ranboo.”
You introduce yourself with your tag, which elicits a hum of recognition from him, much to your pleasant shock and surprise.
“You’re the person that Dream invited, aren’t you?”
“In the flesh.”
He laughs at your quip at him, smiling with sharp fangs exposed to the midday sunlight. No point in judging a person on their (potentially, anyway) monstrous features.
“Well, you probably need a tour—“
He’s quickly interrupted by a loud “hey!”
“Oh great,” you mutter, crossing your arms. Ranboo looks a bit sheepish at your cocked eyebrow and slightly irritated expression, scratching his bi-colored hair.
“That’s Tommy. He’s uh… well, Tommy.”
A teenager wearing a red and white shirt and jeans with battered sneakers comes sprinting out of the nearby forest, coming to a halt just in front of you.
“New person!”
“Yeah, and what are you, the gremlin that got fed after midnight?”
The kid sputters out a few protests against being called a gremlin, sprinkling a good few swears in his jumbled sentences that mostly consist of rambles.
When Tommy gets his bearings, he eyes your tag, squinting at it suspiciously before his eyes widen in recognition.
“You’re the bastard that beat the shit out of me in Bedwars! Get ove’ here—“
One of Ranboo’s arms shoots out to grab the lanky teenager with ease to stop his potential assault on you. You just brush your nails off on your shirt.
“Oi! Lemme a’em!”
“No, Tommy, remember what Tubbo said?” Ranboo lectures, tail flicking in annoyance, eyes trained on him. “Remember?”
“You’re one to talk about rememberin’.”
Ranboo cocks an eyebrow.
“No punchin’ people we don’t know unless they’ve hurt us…” Tommy grumbles. “Can ya lemme go now?”
Ranboo agrees, letting go of his shirt and summoning a journal and quill to write something down in, muttering that he’s almost out of ink.
“Anyway, how about that tour now?”
You smile at him.
Maybe you’ll like this place.
——
“...and this is L’Manburg… or what’s left of it, anyway. It’s still being rebuilt.”
“How’d it get destroyed?” you ask him. “It takes a lot of TNT, Withers and dedication to destroy a city this big.”
I should know.
Tommy eyes Ranboo.
“Hey, it’s your city. I’m not explaining it,” Ranboo defends against the wordless accusation. Tommy exhales with a groan and begins his explanation.
“Wil-Wilbur, my brother, went a bit insane a few months back, blew it all up with Technoblade’s help. Wil’s… well, he’s dead.” Tommy sounds indifferent about the death, much to your surprise.
You nod absentmindedly, setting your eyes on a slightly obscured poster that flaps in the wind. When you get close enough to pin it down it reads:
Wanted: Dead or Alive. High Treason, Inciting Violence, Unlawful Use of Explosives, Extreme Terrorism.
Reward: See Authorities
Below that is a well-painted picture of a man you somewhat recognize, wearing a red cape, a crown, full enchanted Netherite armor and carrying an axe that seems to shimmer in the light.
Technoblade. You’ve had a few run-ins with him playing Bedwars and Skywars, even teaming up with him a few times. He always seemed nice enough, and certainly a damn good sword fighter. He always knew when to run and when to stand and fight, when to attack and when to defend.
“What did he do?”
Ranboo starts to speak, but Tommy interrupts him.
“Blew the rest o’ this place up. Bastard ran after that.” Tommy all but spits the words out of his mouth, like they’re acid or venom. “Fookin’ coward.”
Well, I wouldn’t call ‘knowing when to run’ cowardice, but we’ll pretend I agree, child.
“No one knows where he is now,” Ranboo adds. “Except Phil, of course. But he’s pretty much silent about it. Won’t give up a word of information.”
Shouldn’t be that hard to find one man, you muse to yourself. Bet I could.
“Well, I’ll let you know if I find anything out,” you lie with a smile plastered on your lips. “Y’know, as a sort of gift to you as the newest member of the server.”
Hah, as if.
“We’ll hold you to that.”
You nod and say your goodbyes, walking towards the central nether portal while keeping an eye out for an ender chest so you can get some of your stuff. You know the admin will take your elytra away if it so much as comes into contact with the server’s air, so you decide not to risk it.
Spotting one, you make a small noise of triumph and dart over there, grabbing the shulker with your stuff in it, transferring it to your inventory with a practiced ease.
Armor adorns your figure, enchanted Netherite striking an imposing silhouette against the blackstone beneath your feet. You twirl your sword with a grin.
Now to find Technoblade.
——
Turns out, finding a piglin hybrid is not easy.
You scoured the Nether for any sign of him, any trace of fabric, of a broken pickaxe, hell even a piece of iron he may have held. The ability you hold as a Jumper not only allows you to jump servers, but also allows you to find people if you have something of theirs.
Nothing. Zip. Nada. Zilch. Zero. Nil. Absolutely jack shit.
How can one man be so difficult to track down?
Just as you’re about to give up, a barrage of curses at the tip of your tongue, a glint of iron catches your eye.
Odd.
Hopping over a cluster of Netherrack and scaring off a few baby Striders, you see a small circle of iron sitting in a pile of red dust, looking dented and beat up.
You huff and brush the dust off of it, titling your head to the side when it reveals itself.
A compass, pointing in one direction, working even in the Nether.
Standing up, you pocket it and head to the nearest portal, jumping through to the other side only to grab the compass out of your pocket as you walk to who-knows-where. It still points in the same direction as before, only moving when you do.
An irregularity in the metal against your hand inspires you to flip the compass over to look at the back.
What lies there makes you smirk.
Technoblade’s cabin. Phil’s compass.
This might be easier than you initially thought.

live streams | matthew gray gubler x fem!reader
this is sorta long but like not really. i started this at 5 and ended at 7. BYE ASF IVE NEVER TAKEN THAT LONG ON A PIECE. ENJOY READING DARLINGS <333
“matthew! you wanna live stream with me?” i rarely live streamed as i didn’t really know what i was doing but i got the hang of it as i went on. matthew always stayed silent when i did live stream not wanting to give away that we were dating or that we were even hanging out. as far as the fans know we were just friends.
“are you sure? i was just about to go to the living room so i don’t bother you.” matthew wasn’t very ideal with the fans knowing that we were together as some of them can be really rude when they even hear a rumor of matthew possibly dating someone.
“yeah, come on. it’ll just be two friends hanging out and doing a little live stream.”
convincing him was difficult. he kept thinking about how people would figure it out and all that jazz but after a while it worked. i helped set up his area beside me, leaving space in between us so we could move our mouses without bumping our hands.
i notified people on my instagram and twitter that i was going to be doing a live stream with matthew. matthew doing the same. i laughed as he said that he wasn’t going to do so.
“hey guys!” matthew gave a small wave and smiled at his camera. “wait.. what are we playing?”
“oh! i forgot to tell you before we started. we’re playing minecraft!”
i let out a giggle at matthew’s face at the games name. “what is that?”
“a game. i already have it downloaded on your imac.”
“why? i don’t play that game and how did i not notice?”
“because i play it when i use it. you not noticing is so weird because it’s literally right there.” i reach out and point to the bottom of his screen. matthew lets out a small ‘oh’ and pushes me off.
“do you want me to join your realm or do you want to join mine?”
“you can call all the shots. i don’t even know how to play this stupid game.” matthew grumbled as he watched me. i send him a small smile and start a new realm. “don’t i have to like friend you or something?” i shake my head. “nope, i already have you friended.”
matthew nods at my words and looks at his screen. “do i click this?” i nod and he presses the button to join my realm.
i immediately ran over to the trees and started to get some wood. matthew looks at me as if i’ve grown two heads. “uh.. y/n how do i move?” before i can help him he starts pressing random buttons. “no, matthew!”
he ends up clicking a button that allows him to see his skin. “oh! oh, wow! hey, look i’m rumple!” i smile as i remember spending hours working on that skin for him. “i know. i made it for you.”
i lean over and teach him how to move, jump, run, crouch, hit, and mine. the last two things were basically the same thing but it was easier to teach him that way. teaching him how to craft, open his inventory, drop stuff. and scroll on his hot bar was the easiest thing he learned. as i’m doing this matthew says small comments. “matthew, shut up!”
“i didn’t do anything!”
***
“matthew! get out of my house! make your own house!”
this had been an on going battle with him. he wanted to live with me and i insisted that he live alone. “but y/nnnnnn we’d save more space for more builds if you just let me live with you!”
matthew had a way of always getting his way. no matter what is was that he seemed to want, he’d get. i guess it was part of his charm.
“fine-”
i get cut off by matthew cheering and jumping out of his chair to hug me. “but you’re sleeping in your own room not next to me.” his cheering dies down at my words. “what? why not?” he pouts but i refuse to give in. he’s already lving in my house for god sake.
“y/n pleaseeee. i won’t steal your stuff or anything.”
i shake my head and continue building my house making sure to add another room for matthew. he continued to beg as he helped build the house.
“okay! you can sleep next to me! now quit yappin’.”
a huge smile took over his face as his minecraft character made his way over to my room and placed his bed next to me. i couldn’t help but smile at him as he did a little happy dance.
***
“y/n i swear to god if you take that dog.”
“you’ll what? there are other dogs around gube! this is my dog, i found it first!”
“no! the others ran away you go find them. i refuse to run around to find them when one is right in front of my face.”
i smirk as i start to give the dog bones. matthew catches on and tries to give her bones but fails. hearts go above the dogs head after i gave her three bones. “ha!”
matthew hits me and my dog starts to attack him. “what the fuck? y/n help me!” a loud laugh rumbles through my body as i sit her down. “guess you better run and go find those other dogs before she kills you.”
he turns to me and pokes my side. i smack his hand away not taking my eyes of the screen as i was trying to get my dog back home safely. matthew turns back to his screen and starts his “quest” as he called it to find the other dogs that ran off.
***
we’ve been on the live stream for a good three hours and matthew was starting to get the hang of it and so far we haven’t had any slips ups on us dating.
in those three hours we had found diamonds, made a farm for both crops and animals, made a roller coaster, tried to make a small cafe but gave up and just made a fishing shack. we were now going to the nether.
“gube, are you sure about going to the nether? this is literally the first time you’ve ever played this game.”
“yeah but i’m basically a god at this game now.”
“oh please. you’ve died at least a hundred times.”
“nuh uh! you are such a liar! don’t lie to the people.” matthew winks at the camera and i roll my eyes. “you can be such a boy sometimes.”
i grab some food, my bucket filled with water and three extra buckets, and my bow along with some arrows.
“can i light it?”
“be my guest.”
matthew takes out his flint and steel and lights the portal. “woah, it’s so pretty.” he stares at the now purple portal in awe. i jump in and the nether starts to generate. “wait till you see the actual nether.”
he doesn’t say anything when we’re in the nether and i start to think he thinks it’s ugly. “um.. matthew? you good?” he doesn’t respond as he just keeps looking around. it wasn’t until i punched him in the shoulder that he snapped out of his trance.
“what?”
“you alright?”
“yeah, yeah. it’s just so beautiful. almost as beautiful as you.”
i snort at his cheesiness and start to walk around.
things were doing just fine until a ghast found us while we were making our way towards the nether fortress. both matthew and i screamed as the ghast made a noise. it shot at us. luckily, we had made a small platform before entering the nether fortress.
“how do i shoot it back?!”
“hit it back with your sword!”
it knocked down matthew. “oh my god! babe, i’m gonna die!”
i didn’t even notice that matthew had called me babe while we were live as i was trying not to die. “i died lol.”
a laugh came out of my mouth as matthew said lol. “oh! i killed it! my love, you better get your ass back here right now!”
i start to mine down and run over to where i saw a ghast tear fall. “look! i got a ghast tear!” matthew’s character came running up behind me. “you want it?”
“no, you killed it. plus, i don’t want a memory of that stupid thing. it killed me for no reason!”
“it’s a mob.. it doesn’t need to have a reason to attack you.” matthew lets out a whatever under his breath and starts to make his way back to the nether fortress.
***
“okay guys thanks for watching!”
“yeah, she really appreciates it when you guys tune in and watch her die half the time.”
“matthew! i didn’t die as much as you did and we only played for like three fucking hours!”
i read some of the comments that were popping up. some of them were ‘bye’s’ and the rest were just freaking out that we were dating. my eyes widen a bit at the comments until i realized that matthew had called me babe and i had said my love when the ghast was attacking us.
“gube... cats out of the bag.”
he looks at me for a second before looking at comments and scanning through them. “well, looks like i can kiss you on camera now.” my laugh gets swallowed by matthew as he presses his lips to mine.
“okay. bye guys! have a good night!”
“byeee!”
i click off the stream and turn to matthew. “i thought you didn’t want our relationship to get out?” a smirk comes across my face. “yeah, but there was no way on backing out on that one.”
“you’re not mad?”
“what? of course not! why would i be? i finally get to show you off, though i did want to keep you to myself a little longer but it’s cool.”
i smile at his words and kiss him again. “i’m going to make coffee. can we watch charlie and the chocolate factory?”
“hm. whatever you want princess.”
i press a small kiss to his nose before running off to get the pot started.

Face Reality (Part 1)
Title: It’s Better This Way (but then why does it hurt?)
"Really, it was Ranboo’s fault, he figured, because if he hadn’t been so stupid, surely he wouldn’t have clung to a business relationship and blown it out of proportion. It hurt now, but he hoped that the pain would dull. He hoped that now he had gotten away from everyone who he cared about but never cared about him, that he would be able to find peace.
It was better this way.
Then why did it hurt so much?"
Part 2
Masterlist
His hands were shaking in the cold, or from stress, he couldn’t remember which one. Maybe it was both. His hands were shaking, his head was pounding, and the comfort room that he had built so carefully did nothing.
His pets did their best, but there was nothing to be done. He was too far gone at this point, and the tears welling in his eyes couldn’t be stopped. There was nothing that could be done to stop his breath from becoming faster, there was nothing that could be done to stop the soft endermen warbles from leaving his throat.
Well, maybe one thing. But it was impossible. There was no way that he would be calmed down by anyone, not when he had overheard what they’d said. No one would hear him and hold him in a warm embrace to comfort him, no one would bother to find out just how messed up he was.
No one was going to take the time out of their stupid days to help him. He just wasn’t worth it, in their eyes.
Ranboo buried his face into the fur of his dog, hoping that his tears would be absorbed rather than hurting him. He didn’t want to deal with more than he already was, it would just add unnecessary complications to what he was about to do.
He stayed sitting for a while, admittedly, but once his noises had quieted and his shaky, suppressed sobs had stilled to slight hiccups, He stood up. His legs were unstable, but he walked, leaning against the wall to reach his chests.
He filled his inventory with as much as he could carry. He left anything that he could easily get again, he got all of his pets standing, and then he clambered up the rickety ladder. It was dark, and only one lone light was on in the cottage that Ranboo stared at longingly.
It’d be so easy to reach out.
Ranboo started walking towards the cottage, but he didn’t stop. He kept walking towards the portal, only pausing when he heard the telltale sound of a door opening.
“Ranboo, is that you? What are you doing up?”
Oh, Phil.
He didn’t turn around. He didn’t want Phil to see his puffy eyes, his wavering smile. “Oh, I was just going to see if I could find any mobs, get some experience. Chat with some endermen if they don’t get scared. Don’t worry about me!”
It was spoken with such obviously faked cheerfulness that Phil must’ve known he was lying. He had his pets on him, why did he need a parrot to go mob hunting? He didn’t turn around, surely that was suspicious.
There were so many things wrong with his alibi, but if Phil noticed the hybrid’s voice cracking with sadness, he didn’t say anything. Why would he? He just gave an “Okay.” and shut the door softly.
Ranboo let out the sob that he had been holding in, stumbling forward and away from his home house. He could find a nice place, rebuild. Find peace.
Then why was he so sad? Was it because he had thought he had finally found people that cared about him? Was it because he had thought that he could finally be himself, and not hide who he was? Was it because all of his hopes amounted to nothing, only serving to crush him more? Was it because, with all of the people in this forsaken land, he was still lonely?
He remembered to take a deep breath, although it was probably closer to a sharp inhale, as he trudged through the snow and to the shimmering portal to the Nether.
He didn’t know what it was, but something in him made the Nether seem so unappealing that he just sat in the snow for a little, thinking. It would be dangerous for his pets, and he didn’t want anything to happen to them...
At the end of his train of thought, Ranboo gathered his pets and started walking to the coast. He didn’t know why, until he was staring down through the water at the stone of a Fortress.
Should he?
It was with startling clarity, then, that he remembered what his people had said to him when he wanted to reach the overworld.
“You can go, if you so wish, but it is a land of evil. You will find no comfort there. You will come back to us, crying, and will know that we were right. You can go, but be prepared to be faced with nothing but sorrow and pain. Do you want to go, child? Then go, but never come back. We will no longer want you here. We will have nothing to offer but a turned side.”
As Ranboo stood in the sand, looking down, he pondered on those words. Would they accept him if he pleaded long enough? If he cried enough? Would he find peace in the land that he had been so eager to leave as a naive child, only to discover that the way back was sealed?
He remembered the fear that he had felt knowing that the choice was permanent back then, but would it be now? This wasn’t the same place he had emerged.
He made a split-second decision, diving under the surface and ignoring the stinging of the water on his face that made him wince. He landed on the cracked stone, not surprised that there were torches everywhere. What did he expect- humans to not meddle in business that wasn’t theirs? To leave what was peaceful alone? Not the humans he knew. No, they only knew war and manipulation.
He wandered the halls, looking for the portal, patting his pets occasionally as they followed him. He almost wanted to leave them here, but he couldn’t ensure their safety. Not with humans. They were better off with him.
Ranboo almost laughed at that. Nothing was better off with him.
Eventually, he found the portal. It was in a room that had clearly already been found, but the portal wasn’t lit. The space in the middle was filled in, and it looked like someone was using it as a table. It was a good thing he knew who, but his heart still burned with rage at something so important being disrespected and demoted to something as domestic as a table.
Time passed in a way that he couldn’t quite grasp, but at some point in his contemplation on whether it was worth it, he heard a noise from the hallway. He didn’t move, because he figured he knew who it was.
He was wrong, of course. Just like he always was.
That didn’t mean he had no clue who the being was when he turned to look. He had seen this god, many years ago when he was a child.
“You want to go back?” The voice wasn’t natural, but it seemed similar to the one that haunted him in his darkest moments.
“I’m thinking about it.” Ranboo responded, sitting down on the cold floor.
“You realize you need me to light it? How were you going to get there?”
A heavy sigh passed through the hybrid that looked so small there, on the stone. “I was going to cross that bridge when I got to it.”
It was quiet, but the deity took pity on the child. “I’ll do it.”
“What?”
“I’ll light the portal for you. Help you get back. I can’t promise they’ll accept you back, and I’ll have to close it once you’re gone, but I’ll help you.”
Ranboo scoffed. “Don’t try to be all buddy-buddy with me. I’ve got nothing left to offer back for it.”
It grew dark, as if the being was sucking light from the nearest sources. The black aura around it grew, as its wings fanned out. “Don’t mistake my duties for kindness. You got out, I’m getting you back in. You are going to be just as alone in there as you are out here, it makes no difference to me.”
“Maybe it’ll hurt less in there.” Ranboo whispered. Then, “Light it.”
In a split second, it was done. The black expanse of starry night beckoned him, so Ranboo stepped up to it. Before he entered it, though, the god spoke again.
“If they come looking for you, I’ll let them in. Maybe you need someone to find you, show you they care.”
As Ranboo ushered his pets into the portal, he straightened to his full height and stared the deity in the eyes, ignoring the sudden urge to attack. “Don’t bother. They’ll never look for me.”
And, just like that, he was gone.
The god gave a slight chuckle as he moved to put the portal back to as it was, only the ominous purple particles giving any clue as to what had just happened. “I don’t know what they’re doing to these kids, but it’s a good storyline. Maybe the script’ll be even more angsty. Ranboo is carrying that, though. Maybe they won’t even use Pandora’s Vault- but you never know.”
And, just like that, it was quiet in the tundra again, the first hints of dawn clinging to the skies. In the distance, a shack lay abandoned, and the people in the cottage slept peacefully. They didn’t know why, but their dreams that night were of a land with pitch-black skies and flying cities.
They spared it no thought. It was just a dream.
______________________________________
Ranboo emerged from the portal, and was greeted with silence, just as it was with the silence of the snow. His soul felt torn, part of it glad to be back, one hating it.
He held his head high as he carried his pets to find his old home. Maybe they hadn’t destroyed it, yet. Maybe they had so little faith in him that they knew he’d be back.
The island he was on seemed so... dead. Empty. No endermen were there.
Ranboo pushed down the feeling of unease that he had. Now was no time for being sick. Not when he needed to travel over the void.
He found the hidden pathways that all the inhabitants of the End used, feet moving almost mechanically as he found the city he needed. His old home.
When he entered the old house that he had been given, off the side of one of the bigger buildings, he was greeted by one enderman. He was startled by the sudden interaction, but then the other started talking.
“Hello, child. We knew you would be back. You’re later than the books said you would be, though.”
The garbled speech surprised Ranboo, and he struggled to remember the tongue that he had once been so fluent in.
“I am. Where is everyone?”
The enderman gave a short little scoff. “Gone. Packing. We’re leaving the city. We knew you’d be back and want no part in it. You’ve fallen far, child. You have forgotten our language, you embraced the overworld as your own, you smell of humans. We said that we would not accept you back, and you dared test that? You are on your own, and have searched for comfort in the wrong place, hybrid.”
The way that that word had been spoken hurt Ranboo, as if he wasn’t worth as much because of his heritage. He kept his tears at bay, getting his pets to sit down in their new spots.
He didn’t register the enderman teleporting away, but when he stepped into the city he got no comforting welcome, he got no pitied hugs, no one offered him words of advice. They all walked past him, humming, as if they didn’t see him. As if he didn’t matter. As if he was invisible to them as they abandoned their life-long homes to get away from him. No arms circled around him to hold him as he broke, no one gave him the attention that he needed so badly, that he had traveled so far to try and find.
It was then that the tears fell again, finding a new path down his face as the old ones had scabbed over. They burned him, but it didn’t matter. He was even more alone now.
“Please,” He cried. “Please, I’m sorry. Please, I just want a home.”
There was no answer to be spared for the boy.
“Please, I’ll be good, I’ll be quiet, I’ll gather stuff for you. Please, I just want someone, please-”
There was no one to respond to his call.
“Please,” He warbled, letting the enderman part of him come out more. “Please, just answer me.”
There was no change in the crowd of lanky, black bodies that gave him a large berth. There was no comfort to be found in those long arms. There was no love in the screeches.
The sobs that racked his body didn’t stop for hours and hours, maybe more, because the sky was no good judgement of time. It was just a dark expanse, almost as unwelcoming as all of the failed versions of family that Ranboo had searched for.
When he looked up next, the city was abandoned for good. It was just him, alone, with no one but his pets to cling to for sanity.
He stayed sitting on the vaguely dusty ground for a while, numb. He’d lost three homes, in just a few days.
As much as he wanted to beg to go back, beg on his knees that he was wrong, beg and plead and hope that someone took pity on him, He knew he couldn’t. He knew he didn’t belong where the sky moved and had colors, he knew that no one would take pity on him, he knew that no one actually cared for him.
He had to face reality. No one cared for him, they only used him for as long as he could provide something to them, no matter how many things he gave, no matter how many times he searched for even a semblance of a family.
As he trudged back to his small little house and tried to sleep, hoping his dreams would take him far away from where he was, or better yet not even wake up, he was only haunted by the words that had caused this whole thing in the first place.
He hadn’t meant to eavesdrop. He really didn’t, but as usual, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

“So, now that we have a base and we have a plan, who are we going to invite to join us?” That gruff voice was Techno.
Base? Wasn’t their base just their cottage? They had another one?
A softer voice. Phil. “Maybe Niki? She seems pretty against L’manburg now.”
Techno scoffed. “She’s making some land with Fundy, I think. We’ll have to see how that plays out, keep an eye on them. My voices are saying Ranboo, what do you think about that, Phil?”
“Ranboo could be a good choice. We’ve been kind to him, and he’s useful with all of the gifts he’s been giving us. The memory issues might be a problem, though.”
The pig hybrid hummed, before speaking again, “Wait, we could use it to our advantage! Tell him he’s part of it, get him to go feral on whoever we need him to, drop him off at his little shack, and he forgets. It leaves us clear of the blame, it’s perfect!”
Ranboo felt as if all of the air had been knocked out of his lungs. Techno wanted to get him to join their… whatever, and get him to be violent? Phil would refute it. He had to.
“Hmm, maybe.” Phil said. NO, Phil, no, please, don’t agree- “Actually, yeah, that could work really well. He’s got ties with Tubbo, ties with Dream. He can get in places that don’t trust us. Plus, if he keeps giving us gifts, it’s definitely worth keeping him around. Large profit.”
They laughed a bit, and Ranboo slid down the door that he almost opened before catching wind of their voices. He pulled his knees to his chest, ears still picking up their conversation no matter how much pressure his hands put on them.
“The only problem is I hope he doesn’t get attached. He’s had a rough time, but I’m not sure he’s aware that this is a professional relationship to benefit each other, not a familial one.”
At those words, Ranboo stood up, and teleported to his comfort room. It had been a while since he lost control of his teleportation, but he couldn’t help it. He didn’t even register which one said that.
He had thought that this was his chance, his hope for a life that didn’t kick him down all the time. He guessed not, though, if he was nothing but a means to an end, a money giver, a source of information and nothing else.
__________________
He needed to face reality. Phil wasn’t a good father to his other sons, what made him think that he would be a good one to him? Techno wasn’t a brother, he only cared about anarchy, and if Ranboo was the way to get it, why would he mind housing the hybrid?
Really, it was Ranboo’s fault, he figured, because if he hadn’t been so stupid, surely he wouldn’t have clung to a business relationship and blown it out of proportion. It hurt now, but he hoped that the pain would dull. He hoped that now he had gotten away from everyone who he cared about but never cared about him, that he would be able to find peace.
He didn’t expect to have to find it alone, on a floating island surrounded by nothing but darkness, with nothing but his fading memory and a vague sense of direction connecting him to the family that never saw him as more than a weapon.
It was better this way.
Then why did it hurt so much?

okay. so i’m gonna answer the question of why i’m a c!tommy apologist.
the tl;dr of this whole thing is i’m technically a c!benchtrio apologist, i’m a child and c!tommy was a child (so was c!beeduo obviously) when i first started watching the dsmp (during the bedrock bros arc), so i felt i could connect more to c!tommy cause y’know teenagers. i feel like the fandom is just really mean to him as well, like J E S U S guys, that’s a traumatized kid. if i have to send myself to the dsmp universe just to get this kid a happy ending, i’ll find a way to do it.
now, onto my actual rant here (warning: i am going to get H E A T E D at some points):
point number one: i’m a c!benchtrio apologist. i want you to guess why.
is it because:
a) i’m a teenager myself, and benchtrio were also teenagers around the time i started watching (wow, a teenager gets more easily attached to the characters that are around her age? shocking, never been heard before-(obvious sarcasm))
b) i find their stories/lore interesting
c) i find the characters relationships to one another interesting
d) one of the characters is basically an enderman and endermen are among my favorite mobs (plus i relate to the character a little)
or e) all of the above?
did you guess ‘e’? if so, you are correct!
point number 2: i started watching the dsmp practically right after the exile arc. during the bedrock bros arc, to be specific.
i practically witnessed the direct aftermath of exile. i saw how bad tommy was doing. now, granted, i only ever heard what had happened be referred to tommy as ‘manipulation’ at the time, but trust me, i have learned since then that it went further than just simply ‘manipulation.’
now, even back then, with my limited knowledge of what had happened, i could come to what should be the pretty direct conclusion that c!dream was bad and that c!tommy (while he did make some mistakes) didn’t deserve any of what had happened to him. BUT APPARENTLY THAT’S A HOT TAKE, FROM SOME OF THE BS I’VE SEEN.
you see, while i am an apologist for c!benchtrio, i can admit when they’ve made a mistake. i can say “yeah, they weren’t (completely) in the right here.” where i start having a problem, however, is when one of those characters does something that’s kinda wrong and then basically gets forced into a traumatic experience that haunts them for the rest of the series.
AND YES, I’M REFERING TO EXILE WITH THAT.
during my time here, i have learned that the story of “c!tommy burnt down c!george’s house and that’s why he was exiled!” isn’t really accurate. this is for a couple of reasons:
1) c!tommy and c!ranboo actually accidently burnt a few blocks of c!george’s house due to a prank gone wrong and even tried to fix it before leaving (another thing i should add is that basically everyone else on the server has griefed and pranked people and have practically got away unpunished)
and 2) it’s been implied (at the very least, if not confirmed) that exile was planned by c!dream before this.
so yeah, you can see why i get heated over stuff like this. i try not to reblog discourse surrounding lore and just very subtly try to tell people my opinion on certain stuff in canon (discourse just. brings my mood down so i don’t like reblogging stuff regarding it). but at this point, i’m just ranting.
the first actual clip of a lore stream that i watched was from the lore stream where c!techno and c!tommy doing the hostage situation in l’manberg. it was from the part of the stream that i have personally dubbed “The Portal Confrontation”. what’s The Portal Confrontation, you may ask? well, some of y’all can probably guess from the name alone, but it’s the part of the stream where c!tommy and c!techno are approaching the nether portal to go back to the cabin, only to run straight into c!dream. it’s still one of my favorite moments even to this day (and despite the fact that my opinions on c!techno sure have changed since then. basically, i still find his lore interesting and i still enjoy cc!techno’s streams/content but. sir?? that’s a whole traumatized kid????). it was also this moment that firmly cemented for me the fact that i’m not a c!dream apologist (look, he’s a cool villain and that makes him one of my favorites cause he actually scares me and gives me dread. it’s just. you really didn’t have to do any of what you’ve done. you could’ve been normal. but no. you really went and just. did all that, huh? also, please stay as far from c!tommy as you can get, please and thank you-)
now, i could keep going on about my feelings, but i think that this sums it up pretty well.
for anyone who sees this post, please do not start discourse. this is just me ranting a little about my feelings on c!tommy.

OH SHIT I FORGOT I FORGOT TO DUMP ABT MY S3 SOREN WHOOPS
OKAY SO first of all I want to say that the biggest reason I think he'd be the final boss is because of the fact that he's literally called the Builder of Worlds in the intro of "The Order of the Stone" like. hello? sounds a little more impressive than "The Redstone Engineer," "The Rougue," and "The Warrior" imo. also, he has a book in every world in the Portal Hall + Fred's Keep, meaning that he's been to all of these seemingly impossible places only available to powerrful people (the Old Builders and the Admins). how else in the world would he be able to get to these places without being powerful himself?
also, the command block. holy shit where did it come from? you can't craft one (there's no proof Ellegaard's would've actually been crafted), so where did it come from? my answer: Soren spawned it in as a way to show off his powers without seeming like he did it on purpose. he tells Jesse that initially, the Order did actually rough it out on adventures, but once they found the command block, they began to use it and rely on it more and more. this begs the question: if Soren's so powerful, why would he go through the trouble of using it? for that, let's look at his past
in my s3, it's explained that Soren created every world, and had 3 children who created the dimensions. "The Sun" created the overworld so that the inhabitants of the worlds could live happily in the day, "The Moon" created the Nether for the adventurers of the worlds, and "The Star" who created the End for ████████████████. these three were dubbed as "The Creators," and they worked together when creating the dimensions, and sprinkled in a litte bit of each other's dimensions in each other ("The Moon" made the nights filled with monsters and filled the End with loot to entice people to journey through the dimensions, "The Sun" made glowstone/shroom lights in the Nether and made end rods in the End to show that no matter the outlook, there's always light (they also made chorus fruit in the End so that people would have something to eat), and "The Star" made the Endermen available to every dimension so that way they'd ████████)
after that, he dedicated admins for every world who would use the dimensions to sculpt the worlds how they saw fit, make/remix mobs, and add their own blocks/mechanics/etc, but most of them became corrupted, ran away, or killed. because of this, he wanted to wipe everything and start again, but he wanted to give his worlds the benefit of the doubt and so, he decided to explore them, hidden amongst the common folk
in every world he traveled to, he was alone, scrounging for resources, not able to use his powers so that he could experience life the way the people who lived on the worlds did. it was... humbling, really. not using your powers is a nice way to really feel alive after getting what you wanted with the clap of your hands for thousands of years. he ended up running into the Old Builders soon after they had formed and joined them (hence the book A Man Voyaging Forever from his time alone). it was with them that he researched and created the redstone heart (hence The Redstone Heart in Harper's lab).
he actually watched The Games (and occssionally participated in them), but once Hadrian and Mevia began to become corrupted, he and Harper dipped to Crown Mesa, where after some time, PAMA happened, and he dipped because PAMA chipping him would be catastrophic. once reaching the world where "A Portal to Mystery" takes place, he began to occasionally study enderman and followed them around, observing them in their hauntings (hence Walking Among the Enderman). unfortunately that world was difficult to really observe them because the world prefered to spawn zombies at any given chance, so he dipped again.
when he made it to Sky City, Benedict was incredibly useful to his research. he befriended Isa and asked her only for the endermen spawn eggs, and in return, he would give her information about mobs that he had acquired over the years so she could know how to get/use the best drops mobs had to offer (hence Habits of the Endermen, whixh he gifted it to her once completed) the only issue was that he couldn't fully observe them in the overworld and thus, he dipped.
that brings us to the world of Fred, Xara, and Romeo. he had joined The Oasis and befriended the admins (although they didn't know who he actually was) and was actually very close friends with Fred. Fred inspired Soren to break the cycle and start a permanent life here (hence A Brave New Enderman), but after Fred died and the world was bedrocked over, he tried to dip again, but was horrified to find that the portal he used to get there was gone. turns out when the Old Builders got to that world to kidnap competitors, they broke and replaced the portal so that it would be on the surface. with this, Soren began a quest to find the portal.
however, once he got to the surface, he had nowhere to start, so he went adventuring again to search for clues. turns out that when you don't adventure for a while, you get rusty, and he almost got seriously injured during a fight with a hoard of spider jockeys. but just when he thought he was going to get seriously hurt, someone (or rather, some people) jumped in to help. these some people where Gabriel and Ivor. the two had become adventuring buddies because Gabriel was the perfect fighter and Ivor was the perfect brewer and enchanter, and they worked really well together. Soren was invited to join the two due to his extensive knowledge of the world, and because he had the ability to be a great member physically once he got back into the swing of things. soon, Ellegaard and Magnus joined the team, and they became the "Stone Age" (this name was changed after the Ender Dragon encounter because they needed something that sounded cooler). at this point, he was quite truthfully happy
but then came the command block. Soren had always carried it as a fail-safe, but when the group began to take on more dangerous challenges and almost fatally wound themselves, he began to use the command block. he had planted it so that it had seemed like it was discovered, but he knew the truth. and with that, he began to use it. not because he wanted the easy way out like Ivor believed, but because he didn't want lose any more of his friends.
that brings us to s1. with Soren losing Magnus/Ellegaard and seeing the destruction and pain he himself had caused because of his command block, he did what he knew best and ran away, leaving his only friends to fend for themselves.
now let's talk about season 2. Ivor doesn't know where he is, but my s3 explains that Soren's lack of an appearance in s2 is because of the fact he was once again trying to run away from his problems, but he still doesn't know where the portal to the portal hall is, and was just roughing it out once again by himself. that is, until he encountered a very particular enderman that doesn't seem to be under the control of the Ender Dragon. despite this new companion, once he's heard about what happened to jesse and the admins, he realizes just how badly he set up the worlds and is back to thinking about wiping the universes clean and starting over, and now, his plan is already underway (hence why the au Jesse shows up in the first place)
now, you may be wondering "how does that make him the final boss?" well, it's simple. before he becomes the last boss of the series, there's another adventure right before it that involves "The Sun," "The Moon," and "The Star" that takes place as the first arc of the game. by the time that arc is finished with, the universes that are being wiped are getting closer and closer to the world he inhabits, making Jesse the only one able to stop him and save the day

-Smiles widely at the camera that exists somewhere- Ah Grumbot, I’m so glad I remembered to add you in here.
@petrichormeraki
With the arrival of Mumbo and the bots, Grian and Tommy tried to introduce everyone to each other, but another message came in from Scar about doing paperwork with a mention that Iskall was there for the paperwork with Fundy. Immediately Mumbo flew off back towards the shopping district, Tommy barely getting the chance to cover Tubbo’s ears. Tubbee, who had also been brought down from the apiary floor, used Jrumbot as something to hide behind.
“Sorry about that. Iskall is just not the best at reading contracts and Scar likes to hide things in there for fun. If Mumbo hadn’t beat me to it, I would have gone instead since it’s quieter.”
“He forgot Tubbee doesn’t like fireworks.” Jrumbot spoke, petting the mob.
“Exactly. Your dad can be very forgetful in the moment.”
Grumbot looked towards Tubbo and then took a few steps towards him. “You act like Tubbee. You must be President Tubbo. It is nice to meet the whole of you.”
Tubbo, who was trembling a little bit even though the sound had been muffled, looked down at Grumbot. “Wh-what do you mean?”
“I didn’t tell him that part yet.” Tommy quickly explained to his nephew.
“I see. It is something from what your admin did. In creating your ‘canon lives’ he made it so when you lost one, a part of your being would be broken off and cast somewhere else. I am not sure what happened to your other part as I do not have that information, but one did end up within this bee as it first spawned.”
Tubbo looked at the bee in Jrumbots arms and then smiled. “Perfect. Always wanted to be a bee.”
Jrumbot looked between Tubbo, Tommy, Tubbee and Grumbot. “Is Tubbee my uncle then?”
Grian picked Jrumbot up. Grumbot had gotten more of the smarts since he was built to be a computer to answer their questions. Took a little more after Mumbo that way. Jrumbot on the other hand had originally just been made to help sell stuff and was created on the younger side, so he wasn’t as smart. In fact, he was more like Grian if his affinity for shears, especially near his one dad’s mustache was anything to go by.
“Well, Tubbo is your uncle’s friend, maybe even an honorary uncle at that. And Tubbee isn’t quite the same. Besides, I don’t think Tubbee will mind if you don’t call him your uncle.”
Grumbot walked over to Philza. “You are Philza Minecraft. Former king of the Antarctic Empire and my dad’s father, making you my grandfather.” He then looked at Techno. “You are Technoblade, former prince of the Antarctic Empire and also seem to loathe all forms of government. We will not get along.”
Techno looked down at Grumbot with a neutral expression. “Smart kid.”
“Grumbot, how did you know that about your uncle?”
“The mayoral reservoirs of course. He would have been a danger to the mayoral campaign if he appeared.”
Grian stared his son down. “Are you telling me the entire time you knew about Techno.”
“Not his location, but I was aware of his character and other general knowledge.” Grian looked like he was about to blow a gasket. “Of course, you never asked, so I didn’t assume you wanted to know.”
“Grumbot, when we get home, only your brother is getting a diamond.”
Grumbot stared at his dad before saying a single word. “Fuck.”
Tommy smiled. He had taught his nephew well.
With a break in the conversation, Tubbo spoke up. “Well, I mean Philza has sort of been acting as my dad.”
That immediately grabbed Grian’s attention. “Why?”
“Well, I’m not sure exactly what happened. One moment I was in the car with my dad, next thing I know, I’m in a box on the side of the road.”
“Your dad abandoned you?”
“What? No! He would never!”
“Hey G, might be like what happened to you?” Tommy suggested. There was a pause where everything was quiet before suddenly Grian changed to have six purple eyes. “Grian! No!”
Grian closed them and crossed his arms as best as he could while still holding Jrumbot. “What’s the point of being a Watcher if I can’t actually be one.”
“You almost killed everyone a few hours ago.”
“Dad almost killed someone?” Jrumbot asked, looking worried. Grian shifted him to one arm so he could pat his son and comfort him.
“Yeah, things got crazy for a bit. That’s why we wanted you staying in the hobbit tunnels. Did you at least have fun there?”
The question cheered Jrumbot up. “Yeah! We made more tracks for jousting!” Jrumbot continued to talk about what he and Grumbot had been doing when a message came in on the comms “Dad, Daddy wants your help with Scar.”
Grian sighed. “Well, I guess now is as good a time as any to get that paperwork done. Hey Tommy, where’s your nether portal?”
Tommy led everyone down to the second floor and through a nether portal. Though Tubbo had already been there with Fundy, the rest hadn’t and were surprised by the builds that were in the nether.
“How did you do all of this?!” Wilbur asked, surprised. “We barely had stuff like this in the overworld!”
“It’s actually not that big compared to last season. We use the roof more and everyone has their own separate builds.” Grian’s family tried to resist the urge to shake him and or kill him at how normal he was making it sound. “I’ll have to show you the upside down later.”
Though it took a few small bridges here and there, it was rather quick getting them all back to the shopping district. As the portal was right under the town hall, the group was greeted by music as they came through back into the overworld.
“Is he wasting it on paperwork again?!” Grian asked incredulously to no one in particular. “This isn’t going to help us at all!”
“It actually makes sense this time as there is the potential consideration of people from here and the smp moving between each other.” Grumbot explained, making sure to glare down his anarchist uncle the entire time. “All the proper forms would need to be done to keep Hermitcraft safe from people willing to destroy it.”
“I’m going in there.” Tommy spoke up, quickly leaving the others behind. Just a moment later, he walked back out with papers in his hand. “I think these mean he doesn’t want to see us right now.”
“What exactly is going on?” Philza asked.
At the same time, Grian and Tommy gave an answer. “Superfast build mode.”
“What?”
“Scar uses vex magic to help speed himself up to do lots of work in a small amount of time. Usually he uses it for building, but recently he’s also been using it for all his mayor work.”
“I… see.”
“Anyway, Grumbot, can you look at the paperwork?” Grian took the papers from Tommy’s hands and gave them to his son. The robot rapidly read through all the papers at a speed that could potentially rival Scar’s own current speed.
“It’s really bad this time. Paying him diamonds, work clauses, extreme zoning laws for temporary housing. You can only grow wheat and chorus fruit, I’m assuming that’s actually a mistake.”
Tommy smiled. “You wanna go in there and fix it.”
Even if they wouldn’t all admit it, the smp members all had a shiver go down their spines as Grumbot spoke coldly and his screen face turned red. “Very much so.” And then he walked up the stairs to the town hall.
“Is he going to kill your mayor?” Wilbur asked, but Grian shook his head.
“No, he only was that serious the first time they met after we finally built his body. It’s only ever near deaths at most. I’m actually wondering if we have more elections if everyone will let Grumbot run.”
“I certainly won’t be giving him permission.” Came Mumbo’s voice as he exited town hall with Iskall and Fundy behind him. “Artificial life or not, he is still considered a child. And Tommy has given him too many ideas. Scar might be exiled for a few days.”
Techno looked like he was about to speak, but was shushed by Philza.
“Techno, I know you don’t seem to like the government and all, but it works here. I’ve seen hundreds of worlds, so I know how it can all fall apart, but we have literally been doing this for years with not a single problem.”
“Grian.”
“With only one single problem.”
“Grian!”
“Okay, I cause the problems. Mostly. But Tommy helps me with that! But we only very minorly grief and even then it’s extremely rare. And we definitely don’t steal. It’s mainly harmless pranks like chickens everywhere or hiding something in your base that makes noises and you can’t find it.”
“Or secret base bros.” Tommy added in, making Grian look a little confused.
“Yeah, though we stopped doing that ages ago.”
“Or did we?” Tommy asked, somehow looking very racoonish.
Grian looked at his brother. “Okay, concerning, but we can talk about that later.” He turned back to the rest of his family. “In the meantime, I think we should have the discussion I think we’ve all been avoiding a little. Is it just going to be visits, or are you guys actually deciding to move here?”
“What do you mean? You’re not coming with us?” Philza asked, making Grian frown.
“No, of course not. No offense to your home, but it’s a bit of a mess and I’m not sure I could live there without losing my mind. I’m sure that eventually things will calm down, but I’m sure I couldn’t even make half a hobbit hole before it got messed with in some way. Visits are of course on the table, but I’m not going to be staying.”
“But you’ll just be by yourself again.”
“Um…” Tommy started to say, drawing attention over to him. “I’m actually going to mostly stay here. I know Dream is gone and Tubbo’s in charge now, but I just don’t think I can go back there just like that.”
Tubbo hugged Tommy and then Grian pulled the two of them into a hug with his wings. When Philza tried to take a step forward, Grian glared at him. “No. You were part of the problem. You don’t really deserve this right now.”
Mumbo went over to try and comfort Grian, but just ended up making him more agitated. Iskall pulled his fellow redstoner back then tried to change the topic. “So, Fundy, you said you’re Wilbur’s kid. That makes you Grian’s nephew, doesn’t it? That means you have cousins.”
“I do?” The fox hybrid asked before he was tackled by Jrumbot.
“Hi! I’m Jrumbot! Grian and Mumbo are my dads! My brother went in there to talk to Scar, so you may have seen him.”
“Yeah! I did! Wow! This is the best day of my life! I mean, other than the whole going to war part, but everything else was great! New family, hopefully a better server, and I got to hang out with Iskall!”
“That sounds amazing! I got to meet Tubbo! He’s just as fun as Tubbee!” Jurmbot said, happy to share about his day to a new face.
“They seem to get along just fine.” Iskall chuckled. The comment seemed to help Grian relax a bit and he reluctantly released Tommy and Tubbo from his wings.
“Look dad, I’m happy I found you after all these years. But you being my dad doesn’t change the things I saw you do. You sided with people, not ideas, and because of that you would change what you stood for on a moment's notice just to side with someone you cared about. But that hurt others you cared about at the same time. I’ve been hurt enough in my life. Tommy has too. Things here are safe and stable and even then we don’t always have the best days. I don’t normally curse, but it should get the point across. I am terrified of getting close to you right now and you finding a way to fuck up out lives.”
Mumbo and Iskall shared a look. While it might not get through to the newcomers, they had known Grian long enough to know just how serious he was being. They had both seen just how bad it could get for Grian and Tommy and how helpless they felt sometimes when trying to help the brothers.
Philza was quiet for a while before giving a simple understanding nod. “Thanks dad.”
“Well Grian, I’m sure that it’s been a long day for everyone. I’m sure people are tired and hungry and there’s plenty of paperwork to do. How about once Grumbot is finished, we head over to my Hobbit hole for some food.”
Grian smiled at Mumbo. “That sounds nice. Dinner with the whole family!”
Everyone was pleasantly surprised when they saw Mumbo’s hobbit hole. It was a much more reasonable size. They hadn’t seen Mumbo’s real base quite yet though, so they assumed this was it. It was still quite large from the bumbo baggins society expansion, but that meant plenty of room for everyone to sit at for a meal.
While there was plenty of variety, golden carrots were the most plentiful and they were gladly eaten for their high saturation. The visitors from the SMP tried not to stare as the bot children were given bowls of nether quartz and red stone to eat. It was hard to even comprehend how they were eating at all as their heads were just computer monitors yet somehow it just worked.
A cake was placed on the table as a joke for all the birthdays everyone had missed but they ended up actually singing. Following that, the dreaded paperwork began, though it was easier to handle now that everyone had a slice of the delicious treat.
While Philza, Wilbur, Techno and Fundy signed paperwork for simply visiting Hermitcraft, Tubbo signed one for visits and for residency. “Tubbo, are you planning to stay?” Tommy asked when he noticed the papers in front of his friend.
“Well… I would like to. This place seems so nice… but with me being admin now, I need to help the smp. But maybe I can have extended stays in the future.”
Grian looked at Tubbo sympathetically. “Tubbo, you don’t have to be the admin. I’m sure you can find someone you trust enough to move the powers to if you want to stay here.”
“But you made me admin.”
“You were nearby and I knew you probably wouldn’t do anything horrible as admin, but you don’t have to keep them. You are still a kid. You don’t need to keep that responsibility if you want something else.” When Tubbo didn’t look convinced, Grian sighed. “If you want, we can make someone else admin, and if it doesn’t work, you just call me over and I’ll take them away again.”
“Grian, there’s a good chance you could kill someone doing that.”
“And I wouldn’t regret it!”
“Yes you would.”
“Okay maybe.”
Mumbo just gave a very tired sounding sigh.
As dinner was wrapping up, Grian pulled Grumbot over to a side room. “Alright, you were able to help Tommy out with Tubbo and apparently you knew more about Techno than you were going to tell me.”
“That is true.” Grumbot answered. “But you two build me the way you did.”
“I know, and I really regret it.” Grian pulled out a diamond. “Grumbot, do you know anything about Tubbo’s dad?”
Grumbot took the diamond and then processed the question. He was silent for a few long moments, making Grian start to believe that there was nothing Grumbot could find on the man. But just as he was losing hope, Grumbot spoke again.
“He’s called The Captain.”

Adventurer's Log - 4
:( March 21st 2022 1:31am
It's been a long time since I've adventured. I didn't want to be alone, so I decided to do nothing instead, but in the end I ventured out on my own.
I was very unsatisfied with how the grass was growing in the sheep farm. Because of the rainbow order or the pens, I have plenty of red wool at my disposal, but I'm going to have to wait a long while more before I can say the same for my white sheep. I thought to track down more Enderman and kill them for their grass blocks, but it rained a lot, and even when it wasn't raining, I couldn't find hide nor hair of them. So I just contented myself to make several trips to the lighthouse with the red and white I had. Whenever I saw wild sheep, I sheared them too, so I got a lot of my white wool that way. I made about three trips back and forth to the lighthouse I believe. On the side I tried to fix my Nether Portals, but Whatever I did, it didn't work. They're still broken. It could be worse though. Anyway, I made a fair amount of progress on the lighthouses stripes. I also filled in the second levels floors. I'm not sure how to decorate it all though.
On about my fourth trip to the lighthouse, I was confident I knew the way without my map. Apparently I was wrong, because I found myself distracted by a shipwreck! I got some cool loot from it, some sorely needed iron, some Lapis Lazuli and some enchanted armor. I did die like three times in my pursuit of the loot, which sucked, but I pulled through. And it lead to even more cool loot when I kept exploring the area.
A little beyond the shipwreck, ended up at the spruce island I've found before (also on accident lol). I was still planning on ending up at the lighthouse at some point, so I turned right and traveled up the coast for a bit. I wasn't planning to get out of the boat, but I was passing a lot of coal, so I decided to just yolo it and mine some. I must have the worst best brain, cause after mining the coal, I discovered a secret chest hidden under the ore! Inside was a potion of water breathing, three iron ingots, some chainmail armor, a heart of the sea and a diamond!!! Not only was this SUPER surprising, but I'm so happy I found a diamond, because now I have all the ingredients to finish my enchanting table!!!
I explored a bit more on the way home, and found some new berries on the way too. I was chalk full of resources, so I wanted to make sure I got home safe. In the end I managed it, although I had a few close calls with some Drowned. At this point in my adventure, I've forgotten all about the lighthouse for now. I was just discovering that there was a lot more to this world than I let myself believe. And on top of that, these new islands are super close to my home island! I want to rally my friends and go adventuring with them soon. I spent the rest of my evening trying to map out some of the new nearby areas, as well as my own island. I love that all the hard work I've put into my home shows up on the map. It fills me with pride.
In the future, I hope to explore more of the surrounding islands with my buddies, and map them and gather resources in the process. I also hope I can track down some Endermen so I can steal their grass blocks and therefore help my sheep farm be productive. Finally, I hope to add more to the lighthouse Dovah started. Working on it always reminds me of him, so I love working on it.
I am sleepy now. Dogs are cute. Goodnight!

This is part 6 of the Comprehensive Analysis of c!Tommy and c!Dream’s relationship during the Exile Arc
Part 1 -  Part 2 -  Part 3 -  Part 4 -  Part 5
Here we go again. So, just to clarify: I honestly think that for the Mexican Dream stream almost only the parts where Dream is Dream and not Mamacita are canon, but I will check those other ones out as well for anything interesting. Drista’s stream however is like as vaguely canon as possible, so I will mostly give a general outline of it more so then analizing it bit by bit.
That said, a reminder that from here on out I will be only talking about the characters unless stated otherwise and that we will be talking about sensitive topics, so keep that in mind.
First stream we will be looking at is the infamous Mexican Dream stream: Tommy Speaks to Mexican Dream in Exile
Once again Tommy wakes up drowning, again just slightly further away from the coast in the opposite direction from L’Manburg. He also immediately takes off his armour.
“Wait, no, we don’t have enough friends to afford being angry at people” (by now even Tommy himself doesn’t value much his own feelings)
“So at the end of our last Dream smp stream, uh, we died [non canonically], but it’s okay because I got some of our things-” *Dream joins the game* *distressed noises* (I’m never not gonna point out Tommy’s reactions at Dream appearing)
Dream appears and immediately digs the hole for the armour. Tommy immediately gives it up actually apologizing for not doing it even before. Also right after this Dream investigates on wether or not someone visited Tommy while he was gone and he finds out about Ranboo.
“I’ve just been trying to keep you company” “Yeah, yeah, no, it’s been pretty nice” “We’ve became better friends” “Yeah, yeah, we have” (Dream and his ‘friendship’ agenda)
This is when they meet Mexican Dream who was just outside Tommy’s Nether portal. An interesting thing I want to point out is Dream immediately moving directly in front of Tommy when he notices him (probably got used by now to assuming a defensive position).
“We’ll make this place like home man...” (MD already making everything better)
“What did you [Dream] do to him man?” “No but he is my friend now, apparently- I think. You are my-?” (immediately starts questioning things with MD presence there challenging Dream’s)
“I’m your new friend man” “Oh, do you need me to put my items in a pit for you?” (...) “This is what Dream always makes me do, is this right?” (looking once again at Dream for approval in the last bit)
“Hey, wait, so now that you’re here do I even need to follow this man?” (talking about Dream here)
“Okay, wait, how do I know that this isn’t a Dream? Because I keep having Dream’s and shit. I’m like a hallucinator” (so we can add recurrent hallucinations to his ever increasing list of symptoms)
"Even though he may be naked and homeless- are you homeless? Do you need a home?” “I’m homeless man” (And this is why MD was a problem to Dream, he was more then willing to stay with Tommy)
“Oh no that guy [a squid] has committed suicide just at the sound of it! Oh that’s... I envy him” (he is now openly suicidal)
“I don’t like Mexican Dream, Mexican Dream is weird” (sure it’s not just because he admitted to wanting to move to Logstedshire permanently there Dream?)
“Alright, Thomas, come over here, come over here” *Dream starts following as well* “NO! NO! You stay the fuck away!” (this is why we love MD)
“You know actually, he is sort of actually borderline my owner” (I hate that there was a time were both Tommy and Dream thought this)
After this Dream swaps for Mamacita, so I’m really not sure how canon things are here... there is a scene where MD comforts Tommy while he’s looking at pictures of Tubbo and then Mamacita destroys all but one of them.
“I really miss my family man” “Oh I miss my- I miss my family too” (would his family be Tubbo for Tommy?)
Dream does swap back to being Dream for the last 25 minutes. And he proceeds to immediately takes one of MD’s lives. It’s technically his second life because the first one was from a creeper exploding.
“No no shoot me not them, [the pictures of MD’s friends(?)] actually shoot them. I definitely don’t have my confidence back” (Dream immediately setting him back on his progress)
Right after the kill Tommy asks if he can bodyguard Dream in hopes of keeping him and MD from fighting so that MD would be safe. It doesn’t work. Also pretty sure that Dream canonically decapitated somebody.
“Mexican Dream, I-I’ve had enough of you” (Dream immediately ging back to be terrifying right there)
Dream then takes MD’s third canon life. Of course, in true Dream style, he immediately ignores all the distress Tommy is in and moves on like nothing happened.
“You just killed my last friend” (I hate that he’s not even angry)
“So Dream, do I not have any friends left?” “What do you mean ‘you don’t have any friends left’? You have me!” (Dream is the only friend that Dream is willing to allow Tommy to have)
Also I want to point out how Dream keeps ignoring any and all accusations of having killed MD, despite having done so right in front of Tommy. And then he proceeds to try and convince Tommy that he died of a drug overdose (which is just yet another example of gaslighting there from Dream). He then proceeds to make Tommy burn his remains, despite Tommy opposing this quite a bit.
“I know I haven’t really delved into my health with you ever, because I know you don’t really care, but I don’t think I have really long left” (at least he is somewhat aware about Dream not caring)
“I thought maybe we could have someone move in with us today, no. No He doesn’t allow that. Which is fine! Which is fine because, you know, it’s his- his uh- his rules now”
Once again I want to point out that this truly is just a glorified kidnapping. Tommy not only is confined to a very small area and not allowed to keep many items, he also doesn’t get to have anyone move in his area. Dream doesn’t want him to have any company that isn’t him, going as far as to literally kill someone to insure it (not too different from what he was planning to do in the season 2 finale). Either way the stream ends on a very pessimistic note about Tommy not having the will to go on for much longer at this point.
Now let’s move on to the Drista stream: TommyInnit Speaks To Dream's Sister AGAIN
As I said I’ll just give a general outline for this one since it’s honestly barely canon as is, so here we go:
Tommy doesn’t start off drowning this time. Drista arrives and starts immediately being chaotic as usual. They mess around for a while in the Nether, start building a tower (Dream at one point tries to convince Drista that it was Tommy to have killed MD), get bored and mess around some more. Also Drista gives Tommy a bedrock block and writes “Drista” out of bedrock near Logstedshire. Then Drista convinces Dream to let them go back to the main Smp for a while (though we do see Punz trying to kill him for breaking the rules before finding out Dream had given his permission). Once in Dream Smp they meet up with Quackity for a little bit.
Also, Tommy, king of always being in character, constantly asks very uncertainly: “Are you sure that I’m allowed here? This feels wrong...”
They then spawn in a bunch of dogs and wonder around in the smp. After a while Techno gets added to the call and Tubbo starts kinda following them around (though Tommy thinks he has a hallucination). I honestly don’t think any of this is canon. Anyway after a while Techno gets a bedrock block as well and he almost manages to give a stolen Pigstep to Tommy, but it gets intercepted. After a while their time is up and he has to go back by Dream’s order.
“If you don’t see me again in this, you know, in this shape, I’m sorry. (...) Yeah, in this alive form on this server... you might see me you knoa a bit- a bit- I don’t know... maybe a bit ghostly” (foreshadowing to his death that never actually happened during the Exile Arc thankfully)
The stream ends with a promise from Dream that he’ll be there the day after.
Moving on to the last one for today, we have Quackity’s visit: Quackity Visits TommyInnit in Exile
So, Quackity decides to go visit Tommy to try (and miserably failing) to lift his mood by giving him gifts supposedly from everyone in L’Manburg (which are pictures).
“I’ve got no reason to live” (and we start off immediately in the most depressing way possible)
Also, while we’re talking about this stream I have to point out that Tommy has a lot of self-harming behaviours, mostly drowning himself and shooting himself with arrows. Which is rather worrying to say the least.
“Big Q I have very little will to live right now” (again he's very open about his suicidal thoughts by now)
“Forget about Tubbo! Listen, listen Tommy, there are so many things you can turn to when you’re depressed, alright?” “I’m not depressed... I’ve got Dream, I’ve got Dream, I’ve got Dream” “Dream?! (...) Who escorted you out of L’Manburg? Who escorted you out of L’Manburg? Who gave you 30 minutes to go to L’manburg? [In the Drista visit]” “I want Dream”
This is Quackity trying albeit clumsily, to break Tommy out of Dream’s conditioning, though by this point it was far too ingrained for anything to be effective. Also we can see Tommy asking for Dream when he is distressed, which is something that keeps happening during the Bedrock Boys Arc as well.
After a little bit they decide to build a church and a “gambling place”. Techno also joins them after a while. (Also, according to Quackity, c!Dream is canonically racist for killing MD, do with that what you will). Also why does Quackity have a flight or flirt instinct with Techno?
Tommy, sarcastically: “I’m fine, I’m okay, it’s not like I have canonical depression”. That is a fair objection in any and all conversations.
The stream end a while later with nothing else of note. It is very funny though, so do give it a watch if you feel like it.
