Stanley just, keeps tricking Bill. Because Bill would definitely massively underestimate Stanley and how far he’ll go to protect Ford (like in the actual show). We also know Stanley has the street smarts between the twins and could absolutely tell Bill is full of it.

And because Bill would absolutely loose his mind if he kept getting foiled by a snot nosed eight year old that isn’t even supposed to be here

i keep returning to the thought of being jing yuan’s deeply human—and thus flawed—beloved. while fickle in nature, you are wholeheartedly devoted to the luofu’s general, and have no qualms about your attachment in spite of the disparity in your lifespans.

the primary cause for strife within the relationship (in your mind, anyway) is you—specifically, your jealousy of those who warmed jing yuan’s bed during the long centuries before you even existed. any time you think about this, you jaw sets, and your eyes grow stormy.

but your anguish doesn’t upset the man in question; in all honesty, he indulges your hot-headed, possessive behavior. you’re spoiled beyond reproach—this much you can’t deny—and yet you are incapable of quelling the urge to turn up your nose and become moody when certain topics arise.

down to the second, jing yuan can predict when you will demand to sit on his lap and claw at his chest like a petulant kitten. perhaps—if you weren’t single-mindedly driven by blazing ardor and pride—you would cringe at how easily you fall into his trap. but it’s camouflaged with honeyed words and silken pleasure, and you can’t help but yield to his antics, weeping mine mine mine into his mouth, carving crimson ribbons down his back.

despite his military training, jing yuan isn’t cruel; he could never be callous to you, his heart. but he loves the mortal flame that burns so passionately inside you. thanks to you—and for the first time in centuries—he remembers what it feels like to be alive.

So I was just thinking of posting something glib along the lines of "How about Garak as part of Julian's found family rather than his love interest?" but then I started actually thinking about how that would work and immediately stumbled across the issue of Daddy Issues Everywhere--

And now I can't stop thinking about, like, Julian meeting this older lizard man who seems genuinely interested him and seeing him as a father figure, and whatnot.

But the trouble is, it seems that I cannot conceive of a universe where Julian is never attracted to Garak, and so you get this situation like a year in, where Julian's convinced that Garak's interest in him is fatherly - he asks how his work's been; he mentors him a little in spycraft, kind of; he takes him on family day trips to random Bajoran orphanages in the middle of the night...

And suddenly Julian realises he's got a crush on Garak. Like, a big one. And he's so ashamed of himself and freaking out and feeling like 'oh my god, Garak can never know, I can only imagine how taboo that is on Cardassia, oh no, this is The Worst'.

And meanwhile Garak is completely oblivious to this, because he believes he's had a lovely year of flirty lunches with his doctor and has no idea that Julian sees him as a father figure.

Idk how this resolves, but I'm sure Jadzia would have an absolute field day after Julian gets drunk enough to miserably confess his dilemma to her.

(Also I'm pretty sure Julian does not have a daddy kink in this, which actually makes it worse for him, because if he had a kink, at least he'd have an excuse. He's just so miserable. I'm sorry, I can't stop laughing at him rip 😅)
