I tried my hand at the Cryptid Kel design by @okavara ! he’s such a goober, I love the thought put into him. Like the progression of his uh ailment lol

I took a few liberties but I’m really pleased with how I did :)

OKAY?" After recieving the note while long exhausted, he takes the note and giftbasket inside to his room, and doesn't even bother climbing into bed. He just sets the basket on the floor, curls around it, and falls asleep, knowing that he has friends that care about him.

if i was gonna request kerf art..... maybe kel and kerfur reuniting after the "kidnapping" event? when I got that myself, I got so god damn tense and worried but he was fine when it dropped kerf out in the river I ran to the front door like my spouse just came back from war it was so OUUUGHHHHHHHHH the relief i may or may not have put the "will you marry me" in the next report after that

oh the tenseness of seeing kerfur's dot reappear on the radar after frantically trying to figure out where they could be, checking the camera, and seeing they're right outside the base like nothing happened

So I've been meaning to ask but I kept forgetting! But: do you have any reason why dr kel is now a Cryptid? Or was he always like that?

Thank you, anon, for the compliment! And thanks for asking! I absolutely have a reason. It involves furfur, cannibalism, the black fog, and kinda the black wisp too, technically. And a lot of other angsty stuff. I’m writing a whole fic about it, current wip is 12k words for chapter 1 and the unfinished chapter 2, at 5k words, brings it up to 17k words as of now. Hopefully the finished result will break 20k, I can see that happening pretty easily, as chapter 2 is probably going to be about the length of chapter 1, if not longer. I want to at least have chapter 1 out by Christmas time! That would be quite good I think. I am very excited to share it when it becomes finished! But all good art takes time and I don’t want to release anything half-baked. Here's a teaser!

when you finally have the resources to build omega kerfur, despite the manual clearly stating to only use one, you can't bear to discard the motherboards of either of your beloved base kefurs, whom you affectionately called sun and moon... so you do the sensible thing: ignore the instructions and plug both of them into the ai chip

despite their cracked, glitchy screen, eclipse is as helpful as their components. the ability to get hashcodes for you is all the better, giving you time to explore the skies and mysteries surrounding your new temporary home
