6:30 am -

It was far too early for anything. You'd never been an early riser, but your husband never failed to wake up and make coffee, even while it was still dark out. There was a distinct smell of fresh waffles in the air as you groggily rubbed your eyes. "Mhm, love? What time is it?" Blinking a few times, you adjust to waking up, pulling your blanket over yourself.

"I made you a coffee, darling. And some waffles." Sungchan's voice was soft as he pressed a light kiss on your forehead. Reaching down, he turned on your bedside light. You look down at the plate on the table. It was a classic, something you've always enjoyed: waffles with syrup, cream, and strawberries served with a warm cup of coffee. Picking up the fork, you gently stab a stray strawberry, shoving it in your mouth.

You finish chewing, now fully awake before complimenting your husband. "Oh. That was delicious." Sungchan laughs, eyes crinkling at the edges, the kind of laugh that even after a year of marriage, you could never get tired of. "Hahaha, but love, you only had a strawberry!" Slapping his shoulder, you let out a giggle, teasing him that you'll get to it and there's such a thing called savoring.

The sky outside was less dark now, an almost light grey, blending into blue. The sun had yet to show itself, and you hummed happily as you took a sip from the coffee. He smiles, happy that you like the coffee, but he just wants you to try his waffles. "Do you want me to feed you?" The words spill out of his lips as though it's the most normal thing in the world. You raise your eyebrows at him as he picks the fork up, a perfect bite of the waffle in front of your closed mouth.

"Say ahhhh." You open your mouth, slowly chewing the waffle, savoring the bite. It had a homey taste with a slight hint of vanilla extract and butter. What you didn't realize, was the excess cream on the side of your lips. "Mhmph-" you finish the bite, swallowing it, before continuing, "Woah. Channie, I didn't know you were so good at making waffles!"

He lets out a laugh, leaning forward to bring his hand to cup your cheek. There was one thing about you that he absolutely loved about you: your moles. He swears that he believed it was true when you joked that you were kissed by angels and that’s how your moles appeared. There was one under your eye and one right beneath your lower lip. He knew there were more on various parts of your body, and he memorized each one as though there would be an exam on them any day now. That was months ago, and he still remembers where each of your moles are.

Looking into your eyes, he licks his lips, a little mischievous glint in his gaze. “Hm? Oh, love…it looks like you forgot some cream on your lips.” You feel heat rising on your cheeks as he captures your lips in his. He brings another hand to your cheek, so now both of his hands are on your cheeks. Kisses with Sungchan were always so gentle, yet filled with unspoken desire. You melted as he swiped his tongue past your lips, your mind becoming hazy. After what felt like hours but was actually minutes, he pulls away as you whine, wishing he could keep kissing you.

"Sorry but remember love, I have work." He gets up, smirking, knowing that you want more. The food on your table is most likely cold by now, but you didn't care. All you wanted was your husband back in bed with you. Making sure to give you one last kiss, he grabs his bag, but not before adding, "Be a good girl and wait for me. I promise I'll reward you as many times as you like when I get home."

I have been CHILLING this week post-Vengeance saga release! I managed to avoid debilitating stress and anxiety from the onslaught of fan stuff by simply avoiding all social media for the first two days, so it's been good!

However, I am now BACK, dumping my immediate reaction of the saga from a week ago. I thought I was ready. I was not ready. 600 Strike blew my mind. I was left staring blankly at my ceiling. Jorge please rest sometime, I'm begging you. The amount of talent beaming through my screen is exhausting even me.

Also, to every cast member and collaborator and behind the scenes person: y'all are amazing. Like seriously. I hope you all get a yummy drink and a cozy blanket and just. Bask in the satisfaction of a job well done. Hats off to y'all fr.

I havent sent any asks or comments in a while because I was fully burried by uni but here I am finally🥳 (I should be studing pharmacology at the moment but who wants to do that? Not me🫢)

AWW I HAVE SO MANY THINGS I WANT TO SAY. First everything you write is still amazing. I read everything as soon as I could. So many spectacular stories. Both the search verse and the new fic. I got to the point were I check immediatelly in the morning if you uploaded anything.

The GP and Max relationship is amazing in both and they are both so different but similar at the same time.

Im so excited for the deep dives you plan to do here. I think Im gonna separate my thoughts so its more manageable.

I didnt expect to enjoy fopa as much as I did. I was surprised how interesting and enjoyable their side story was, looking forward to reading more about them.

GP and Max’s relationship is beautiful. Max learning to trust GP and slowly realise that he is not a burden. Admit to himself that GP was the one who raised him and tought him not Jos. Realise that this is how it should be, that parents shoud care and listen to their kids. Aww soo good.

Charles’s and Max’s relationship is amazing as well. To see their teenage selfs (mostly Max) be oblivious while everyone expects them to get together in the future. Loved GP’s comments to his wife about the personal drama

Also I loved the last chapter. Max working through his trauma and telling Charles about it. Beautifully written.

Amazing how you write their relationships different but still very similar. Max is not the same person because he grew up in a loving home with GP but still he is the same in all things that matter.

Loved to dutch accent bit sooooo much. At first I didnt notice that he was speaking and then I went back to realise that the first thing GP heard was the word dad😫😫

Also Max and Charles still being connected by racing even tho Max cant race🤯 Him supporting Charles through is carrier, Charles wanting him on his team in F1 ahhhh so good. Charles immediatly recognising Max when he saw him driving.🥺 The hand massage🫠🤭

writing the Max and GP relationship to be just as meaningful but still different shaped on their experiences has actually been kind of hard, but I'm enjoying the challenge.

I am the conductor for the fopa train at this point. I'm not sure if anyone else really writes them? so I guess I'm holding down the frontlines of the fopa tag 🫡

the Dutch accent is so funny, because poor Max has been in the UK for like seven years at this point, he signs in BSL, he thinks in british english, but when he speaks he's got a dutch accent still 😭 him and GP keep getting startled by it. (max also keeps not expecting his voice to be as low as it is lmfao)
