Huh, great question!

There are definitely some aspects that you would need to keep in order for him to be an antagonist in the show, like him being a neglectful father, but there are a few things that you can change.

I would like it if so many people weren't akumatized because of him. Off the top of my head I can really only think of Style Queen, as one that Gabriel didn't just go out of his way to piss off, she just kind of already hated him, from what I can see. But there are definitely more like her. I think that he should be a bit more open to the public, and not so cold around everyone. I'm surprised Alya never figured out his identity, because I'm pretty positive she never actually let go of her theory of Adrien being Chat, AND she teased Mari about a double life in I think it was Simon Says? So like she's really the only brain cell here. "A cold, evil man, who is so rich he has time to slack off? Jackpot!"

See, if Gabriel is really famous, but then so many people are akumatized because he pissed them off, it's not making him look very good. He should only be cold and neglectful to Adrien, and all friendly with everyone else, so that nobody really suspects that he could be cold and mean and the shitty father that he is. Really adds even more depression for Adrien. Like, if he wants to talk to someone about how mean his father is to him, no one will believe him. "Gabriel Agreste? He's always really nice when I talk to him, what do you mean?"

I think that's really the only thing you can change about him, if I missed something let me know. Of course, the audience still has to have little or no respect for Gabriel, as he is the main villain. He kind of has to be stupid, like in Evolution, iykyk.

Welp, anyways, thanks for asking! I'd never really thought about making any changes to Gabriel's character, so this one made me think.

I think the best thing about Oblivio as an episode of Miraculous was that we SAW what Adrienne and Marinette COULD be like if they were aware of how they felt for each other (I’m not saying they find out each other’s secret identities, but like, how Adrien assumed that he liked Marinette because of all the Ladybug pictures on his phone, and because she was apparently Ladybug, and how Marinette assumed that she liked Adrien because of all the photos of him on her phone).

It was the perfect example of how their relationship (as a couple) would be like once they can get over their respective “obsessions” (y’know how Marinette is always a total mess around Adrien - MY GIRL IS TRYING SO HARD THO WE’VE HAD SOME GOOD MOMENTS FAM - and how Adrien - specifically as Chat Noir - is always flirting with Ladybug and often causing problems during Akuma fights).

IDK I WANTED TO RAMBLE ABOUT MIRACULOUS THINGS, cuz I agree with anyone who says that Adrien, and Marinette should have a relationship of some sort with another person (Kagami, for Adrien - Luka, for Marinette), so that they can move on from their respective crushes as it were.

Honestly, completely forget about that one, but that’s because there’s always been a sort of “group” that have that opinion with that sort of guilt trip of, “well, Lukanette’s not awful/maybe I’d like it, if only it wasn’t for the stans,�� and everyone sort of blends together on that front because it’s all kinda same-y.

Personal opinion: I’d just rather judge a ship from the viewpoint of the ship and not the people around it, because it doesn’t feel fair to the ship itself. Same with characters, like “I hate Adrien, and I hate his stans... but separately, and one doesn’t influence the opinion of the other.”

I get that not everyone can do that, but it makes me completely lose any interest in their opinion on the subject because it’s influenced by an outside source that has nothing to do with the actual content.

(also, “toxic fans” lol the word “toxic” has just lost all meaning to me at this point because it gets thrown around so much/easily)

I had such a weird dream about the final episodes of MLB and like...oh bboy

It just went like...

So basically for some reason there are like a bunch of akumas destroying paris, and LB and CN are the only ones left along with some other people. But everyone is getting like....akumatized and shit

And then while Chat Noir and Ladybug are trying to figure out how in the diddly darn fuck they can get all the akumas, bc it's not only the ppl getting akumatized, there are akumas EVERYWHERE, so they gave to be careful bc they are feeling so freaking scared and anxious, it's just a lot.

And then while they're fighting Natalie in the peackock thing, she taunts CN by telling him that his power is to destroy, he can't do anything.

Not only that, but before CN had been having a bit of a breakdown bc he felt like he couldn't help or be part of the team. So natalie's words were just...they were a lot.

Not only that but their powers just don't last that long, so they have the stress of getting as many akumas as they can. Also it wasn't just ppl getting akumatized?? It was also objects for some reason? And it's like tf? How can a fire hydrant be SAD?! SIR?!

And so he thinks about letting go of the miraculous and shit...

And for some context, before this happened (imma take out the mermaids that were in my dream for some reason lmao)

And then I think Marinette knows she's Chat Noir... something weird happened when the episode of Lies was happening, like for some reason Adrien erased everything wrong he did with Kagami, and then they both met this one woman who has been akumatized bc Kagami broke her flower thingie and she was a bridesmaid but in the end they fixed it and she wrote them a letter. Along with Kagami. But then for some reason later Kagami and the lady (who turned out to be Marinette in disguise or smth? Idk it was a weird dream) get a bad feeling and HM wants to akumatize them, so he looks for the letters to have the Butterfly go in. But them Ladybug figured it out, and whole Adrien as Chat Noir was having the letters kk his pockets, LB took them and destroyed them so the akuma couldn't get them, and so CN was like really mad with LB.

And so later after the whole thing they like go to Marinette's house but Adrien is still chat noir. I think everyone knows who he is now? So then he is feeling very down, and Marinette makes her parents go upstairs or smth, and while she's baking with him she's trying to cheer him up about his powers and ladybug, but Adrien is just so sad, so she just says fuck it and transforms in front of him and Adrien is like N A N I?!

Anyway skip to a bit later and then they're fighting Natalie and LB has to leave CN on his own to help this one person I think, and when she comes back he's akumatized.

And before I think LB managed to trick him with another LB to like...help her? But now CN ain't taking any of that shit so he's just. He's just going for it.

And then he sort of like kills her or smth? But then he goes and asks Natalie: would father have let us get married (for some reason??? But just imagine he's saying stay together, with Marinette i think? -no one except him knows her identity-" and then natalie is like yup so CN is like OH MY GAWD WHAT HAVE I DONE AJDJDJD and then I woke up

So like...it was literally the end of the world and I was about to panick bc i was switching between being LB and seeing as another perspective? Anyway it sounds stupid lmao but ISTG there were butterflies EVERYWHERE and the sky was so dark and gloomy, and everyone was suffering from being akjmatized, and there was so much pressure bc one touch from an akuma and you were gone and ufff

ML Desperada Babbles

Mkay so, this episode has me feeling all mixed up. So this may be a bit wordy.

I enjoyed seeing Luka and Marinette hanging out like they did in the very beginning. It was cute to see how he let her played his guitar a bit. (cool how Alix and Mylene are kinda catching on to Marinette’s feelings for Luka.)

Adrien and Kagami hanging outside their busy lives is nice to see as well. They were pretty cute too, acting sly to do what they want instead of abiding to their strict schedules.

But it all kinda goes down when Adrien and Kagami come down to where everyone else was. Marinette spastically moving away from Luka to go up to Adrien and Kagami kinda hurt not gonna lie. Especially when Kagami sorta calls out Marinette when she mentions Luka is her boyfriend. Marinette panicking when she does, it feels off. Or wrong, because I feel like she’d usually say something. Like when Manon asked if Adrien was her boyfriend, she went through “yes! No!... maybe??” Because she has a strong desire to be with him but knows she isn’t.

With Luka, she knows they’re not a couple. She has some feelings towards him yes, but not as strong as her feelings for Adrien. Since she was ready to distance herself from the others to be by him. So when Kagami calls Luka her boyfriend I feel like her reaction was a little off for her character. I think her nervously denying it would have suited better.

Not only that but what also bugs me about this scene was the fact it was in front of everyone. It’s not like Kagami was all that quiet as she said that. Pretty sure at least Adrien and those sitting on the couch nearby would’ve heard what she said. And since Marinette is good friends with all of them, I’m pretty sure they know she isn’t dating Luka. So why she’s frozen for an answer eludes me. (That and how no one corrected Kagami by saying they’re friends.)

Kagami holding onto Adrien’s arm defensively felt odd to me too. Just cuz from what we’ve seen she doesn’t seem like the type to do that. Idk I guess it felt a bit like a Chloe or Lila move. I found this odd but overall it doesn’t bug me that much.

I WANNA KNOW THE HISTORY BETWEEN JAGGED AND LUKA’S MOM!!!!!

They seem to have a sorta soft spot for each other. Hell their interaction and implications of some sort of past relationship threw her kids for a loop. Idk if he’s their dad, I don’t think so. At least I hope not cuz that’d be a weird af set up. Especially since Luka has stated he’s a fan of Jagged, and also wears/has Jagged’s merch. If his mom had a rocky past with the singer I feel like she’d say something about Luka’s admiration for him. But seeing as that’s not the case I’m assuming that he isn’t their father.

Ooohhh mmmyyyy GAWD MARINETTE!!! I’m sorry but she irritated me when Jagged asked her if she new any good guitarist. And she suggested ADRIEN?! Like I get it you’re in love with him but REALLY???!!! Even Adrien said he was more of a pianist than a guitarist. Jagged even ASKED about Luka, who’s carrying a fucking guitar with him!!!! And she just goes, “Oh you’re right! Luka can you give him your guitar?” Like WTF?!?!?! Everyone’s reactions to that was a fucking MOOD.

And sweet Luka, my dear precious boy. You’re either blissfully unaware or you have a lot of patience. And I’m almost certain it’s the latter. Seriously, he’s just too chill about this. Which I’m not sure if that’s good or bad.

I just wished we saw him slightly hurt over Marinette’s actions. He tries to get close to her by teaching her to play guitar, he sees how she’s a bit sad when Adrien and Kagami laugh and hold hands. And tries to cheer her up by saying how it’s nice Adrien found someone who he can get out of the house with. Ya know? And NOT get in trouble for it. Only to then have her to run to Adrien when he sees her and Luka together.

Sure maybe he can play it off by her just going to offer them a drink. But later when Jagged asks for her help to find a guitarist; only to hear her say Adrien’s a good guitarist even though they all know he plays piano. He just stood there like, “o.o?” You mean to tell me he wasn’t at least a LITTLE bit offended? to add insult to injury; the girl he likes asks for him to give Adrien the guitar?! And he simply says, “if you’d like Marinette.” Then happily hands her his guitar?!?!

Literally EVERYONE, Adrien included, were dumbfounded by this. Marinette didn’t deserve to be proud in her choice. Thank goodness for the villain crashing in at that moment.

Luka’s mom is a spitfire. I love her calling out Jagged for doing what she knew he would do. Kagami instinctively protecting Adrien is something I love and support. Please let her make friends so she can be like this with others and NOT just the guy she likes. Like seriously she was ready to fight when she saw an opportunity. Rose sacrificing herself for Juleka yesssss. More content of these to lovies as a couple please.

Gawd fucking Marinette realizing she shouldn’t have given Adrien the guitar? A little to late. And even then I’m sure she only said that because he’s a target now. Not because he wasn’t suited for the job.

Luka is truly sweet cuz his willingness to help Adrien after all that. Bless.

(Yes I know he sees Adrien as a friend, but come on!!! Couldn’t he feel at least a little pain after how Marinette acted? Just a bit?)

Not only was he willing to help Adrien, but he was willing to put himself in harms way to aid Ladybug. So selfless. Even underground he and Adrien were ready to fight. These boys, too good sometimes I swear.

I really want Marinette and Kagami to have a better relationship. Like Luka and Adrien’s. I just liked how throughout the attack Luka and Adrien were both helpful/worried for each other. I just need that with my girls ya know. No more conflict or fighting. Just let them support each other and be friends.

Plagg being slightly offended that Adrien wanted to use another miraculous is cute. Especially cuz he tries to be more mature in telling him how it’s a bad idea. Instead of saying something like, “um, excuse me??? You already have a miraculous! And the best one to if you ask me.”

But love struck Adrien can only see this as an opportunity to get Ladybug to like him as Adrien; not as Chat Noir. Even though this isn’t the time for that!

Good lord I still can’t get over his costume.

But I will say seeing Adrien happy ladybug laughed at his joke for once makes my stupid shipper heart happy. But then it kinda dies when Ladybug says they don’t need Chat Noir now that she has Adrien. Then goes to saying how they be lost without Chat Noir, woman make up your mind.

Bless plagg, rubbing it in Adrien’s face each time they fail. He told you it wasn’t a good idea. But boy was Adrien STUBBORN. Like rrrrreeeeaaaalllllyyyy stubborn. Like 25,913 times kinda stubborn. That is a kind of persistence I did not know existed. He played himself hard and got hurt just as hard. He felt so defeated when he finally decided it wasn’t a good choice for her to choose him. I’m glad to see he wasn’t salty about it when he suggested Luka to be the snake miraculous holder.

Considering Desperada comes after Silencer, guess it makes sense that Luka’s transformation sequence has a lot of hand movements. Which is a recall I did not need. (Silencer was just.... not my fave ok.)

I wonder how many times Luka had to go back in time. I’m sure it was WAY less the Adrien though.

I've actually been planning a fanfic where Kagami is the main focus. I figured since you've been taking about Kagami a lot recently, I wanted to see if you had any writing tips about her. How would you write Kagami like she was in Riposte?

When I look at Kagami in Riposte, I see someone with focus and who doesn’t waste time. She came in, win or lost, she left. She doesn’t waste words or energy. Some people thinks she’s mean, and sometimes she is, but ultimately it’s because she doesn’t hold back. She tells the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help her fucking consequences. The closest thing to her holding back is her saying nothing at all.

She’s also not looking for romance. Romance might hit her one day, but it’d creep up on her until she has an “oh, no” moment. Who her target is is up to you obviously.

And my head canon is that Kagami is only ever taken by surprise when faced with genuine kindness. She’s rich and from an influential family and with an overbearing mother she’s been taught since birth to be wary because everyone has an angle. She can sniff out a liar or in-genuine person in a matter of seconds. So when someone thanks her with their whole heart or does a favor with their whole being or apologizes with absolute sincerity, she’s completely frozen. (based on how dazed she was when Ladybug checked on her)

In my head, Kagami has admiration for people that can command a room but still be kind. Adrien is halfway there, there’s nothing false about him reaching out a hand to help someone out, but he’s the type of “kind” her mother warned her never to be - someone who gets taken advantage of. Part of her wants to take him under her wing and help him recognize people that appreciate his kind heart and people that are just using him. And of course, this could bloom into something more as Adrien teaches Kagami to let her guard down and let those real kind people want to come near her.

So that’s the Kagami I would write. She’s blunt and abrasive, but not unkind. She doesn’t leap to conclusions and likes to collect all the facts before offering advice. She is confident and respects confidence but deeper down is drawn to warm nice people. And she wouldn’t magically be in love with Adrien the next episode we see her in gawd

“R u k??” He asked and concernedly helped lift me up but I was so heavy because he doesn’t eat a lot cuz he’s a model and my leg gave way cuz I was rly injured and I fell on top of him. I was so embarrassed. But then Alya pulled out her iPhone X (not spon lolol) and started taking pictures. Adrien blushes like soooo much and I wanted to crawl into a hole but I didn’t because I needed to go get my bag from the window school cuz it flew in there and tikki was probs so worried!!

“Oh my god I have 2 go Adrien I’m sorry!!” I called as I rushed in 2 the school. I ran to the classroom and immediately checked 2 see if tikki wasn’t dead.

Tikki didn’t move and I started crying.

“Oh my god Tikki u can’t go liek this I luv u so much I can’t be ladybug without u”

“Oh my gawd yer ledybug??? My buggy pal???” Adrien sauntered over and grabbed my porcelain skin. “I luv u”

It was 2 years later. I found out Adrien was chat noir and now we were married. I was so happy 2 be with him and we were in luv even more than before (if that was even possible) and one day when Chloe was being super mean Adrien told her to shut up and now Adrien was cut off from his dad and he lived in my room with me and we were so happy.

NaNoWriMo, Day 1

Today was Tuesday, and that meant one of three things was going to happen:

Maria was going to have a very bad time, because American History would be devoted purely to working on the group project due at the end of the term, and she would have to do all the work, again.

Maria was going to have a normal bad time, because History would be divided between lecture and the project.

Maria was going to have a good time, because History would be 100% lecture, and the group project would wait until Thursday.

Needless to say, she really really hoped that possibility #3 was going to come through for her today.

She walked onto campus at 9, still bleary-eyed from the night before. She sworn she was going to stop getting so drunk, what happened? It was amazing how quickly she'd ditched that resolution.

“Yo, Taylor, wait up!”

She looked back. There was Adrien. “How’s it going today?”

“Awful,” she groaned. “You remember how I said last night was going to be nice and quiet and I’d go to bed early?”

“Yeah. Didn’t go very well?”

“No, it didn’t…”

He smiled crookedly. “That’s always how it goes, isn’t it? You say it, but then when it’s time to do it, it all just sorta falls apart.”

“Pretty much,” she said. “I ended up getting absolutely smashed and fell asleep at the kitchen table.”

“Oof. That sounds rough.”

“It was fun up until about 2, then I tanked, hard.”

“Well, at least you had fun?”

“I guess.” She opened the door to the History building. “I at least got my stuff for today done before I started knocking back shots.”

“That’s good,” he said. “I know Monaca’s gonna be doing stuff that we won’t understand if we didn’t do it.”

“Does that mean there’s no group project stuff today?”

He made an uncertain noise in his throat. “Mayyybe. Maybe not. I dunno. It’s gonna be something, but I don’t know what exactly.”

“It’s gonna be ‘something’? That’s specific. Very specific.”

He smacked her arm playfully. “Don’t knock me for not knowing. It’s not like she’ll follow the syllabus to the letter.”

“If she does, today is gonna suck.”

“I hear you, sister.”

They entered the classroom. The seats were empty, but Monaca was there at her desk, feet up, book in one hand, bottle of Snapple in the other. “Mornin’,” she greeted, not looking up from the book. “How was your weekend?”

“Saturday was okay, Sunday and Monday… ick," Maria said, sitting down. “I’ve had better days than those.”

“I didn’t really have much going on this weekend, so it was pretty meh,” Adrien said.

“Anything worth going into detail about, Maria?” Monaka asked.

“Not really. Sibling rivalry, too much to drink, the usual.”

“That’s a shame. Hope today goes better.”

“Me too.”

The rest of the class trickled in, looking various levels of tired and/or hungover. Apparently there had been some sort of party in one of the dorms or something. Whatever it was, it made her feel a bit better knowing she wasn’t the only one who’s head felt ready to explode.

When 9:30 hit, Monaca put down her book. “Okay, is everyone here?”

“No, we’re missing Jackson and Hannah.”

She let out a sigh. “Okay, well, we’re gonna have to start without them, I’ve got a full class’ work for you today.” She stood up. “So, let’s start with a question: I say 2050s, what comes to your brains?”

“Mazer!”

“Mazer.”

“Energy grid.”

“Mazer.”

“Teller City.”

“Energy revolution.”

Monaca smiled. “That’s what I figured. We had two presidents in the 2050s and a bunch of history happened, but most of us really only remember a few of the big things: President Mazer, Teller City, or the energy grid. I know you guys all had US History in high school, but the first half of the 21st century is a bit, ah, fuzzier in terms of analysis than the rest of the timeline. Then, of course, anything past ’64 is just too fresh off the presses to touch quite yet, and I don’t think I need to tell you why. How many of you were born before or during 2064?”

About half the class raised their hand, Maria included.

“Yup. Thought so. In general, if the people being taught about it were alive then, it’s better to avoid teaching it.” Monaca turned on the smartboard behind her. “2050s, however, are fair game, which makes me a very happy person, because that’s what I focused on when I was in college. So, this unit will be devoted entirely to going through the 2050s, with special focus on the details of what made the big changes possible. If you guys want to know what got the energy grid started, or why Mazer was so popular, or when Teller City became a hub, this is a good time to pay extra attention in class.”

“2050s 101?” someone quipped.

“2050s 202, thank you very much,” she said, grinning. “And, don’t think I forgot, anyone—”

Oh, no. No, no no no no.

Oh, and there was the rest of the class, groaning with her.

“—the group project is due on December 1st, last day of the semester. I’m going to be very generous, and give you the second hour of all the Thursday classes to work on it.”

“The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away,” Maria said through her hands.

“You’ll be fine, guys, don’t be so dramatic,” Monaca said. “And besides, you got to pick your partners, so really, you should be thanking me.”

“Thank you?” Adrien said.

“You’re welcome. Now, 2050! Let’s get started with 2050.”

“So basically, 2050 was 2049, except somehow even more devoid of anything important,” Maria said to Adrien as they left.

“Yeah, pretty much,” he nodded. “But it sounds like things start getting interesting in 2051.”

“I really hope so, ‘cause I’ve been a good girl and not fallen asleep in this class yet, and I don’t wanna break my streak.”

“You’re a freakin’ nerd, Maria.”

“I’m a cool nerd, you jerk, and don’t forget it.”

“Mm-hm. Whatever you say.”

“See you in English tomorrow.”

“No, German, remember?”

“Same difference!”

She waved goodbye to him, and made her way back to the parking lot. Her phone buzzed in her pocket.

Thalia: hey loser before you come back you need to go grocery shopping

Oh, so that’s how it was gonna be today?

Maria: Hey loser, when you get out of bed, you need to get in the fucking shower like I told you before I left.

Thalia: I *did*. *Gawd*

Maria: Keep up the attitude and I will kick your ass into next Wednesday. Get in the shower, now.

Thalia: I already showered! jfc

Maria: Thalia, I will not hesitate. Get. In. The. Shower.

Thalia: I. ALREADY. DID.

Maria: If you’re lying I’m taking away your computer again.

Thalia: Im so fuckin scared

Thalia: it isnt like I *showered* or anything

Thalia: unlike what my sister thinks

Maria: Keep it up, Thalia. Keep it up.

Thalia: we need cheddar and we need ketchup and we need burger patties

Maria: I hate you.

Maria growled, shoving her phone back into her pocket. Why did little sisters have to be the most infuriating creatures on Earth?

She got in her car. “Tesla, I need to go to the grocery store before heading home today, remind me.”

“When would you like to go?” the car asked.

“No later than 15:00.”

“I will remind you at 14:00.”

“Thanks. Take me into the city, I have to meet up with John today.”

“Where are you meeting?”

“Down at that ritzy place on Columbus.”

“Giove?”

“Yeah, Giove.”

“We’ll be there in 15 minutes, with traffic.”

“Sweet.”

Giove was a nice Italian restaurant in San Francisco’s Little Italy. Maria saved going there for important meetings or special occasions. Today, with John… it was sort of both.

Thinking about it, it hadn’t been all that long since she saw him last. It was November 1st today, and she’d seen him in July. So that was, what, a few months? Not that long, in the grand scheme of things. John lived in New York, anyway, so getting out to see him wasn’t something they’d planned on happening frequently. When he’d called last week to suggest meeting up, she had offered to let him stay the night, but he'd declined. “Church stuff,” he’d said. Whatever that meant.

The fog was starting to burn off when she arrived, the sun shining through a small hole in the blanket of gray. It was still plenty cold for her taste, so she hurried inside and got to their table.

John showed up a few minutes later. He looked a bit better than last time: he’d gotten a neater haircut, and his facial hair was less unruly. He was wearing a button-up shirt this time, which was an interesting change. She wondered what he would look like in a three-piece suit.

“Hey there, Maria,” he said, sliding into his chair. “How are you?”

“Hoping to get rid of the last of my hangover with this lunch,” she said. “How about you?”

“The Hyperloop gives me anxiety, but less so than other modes of transport,” he said. “Other than that, nothing incredible is happening in my life.”

“That so?”

“Well, besides the obvious.”

“Right…” she said. “…I’ll get it out of the way, you and I are both thinking about election day, right?”

“Yeah,” he admitted. “I’m not looking forward to it. It’s going to be one of the closest in recent history.”

“Closer than ’64, do you think?”

He frowned as he thought about it. “On an electoral level, probably not, but popularly, it’s going to be very tight. It could go either way.”

“I’ve been trying not to think about it, but… it’s hard,” she said. “I turned off my WiFi in October.”

“Same here,” he said, laughing weakly.
