Sword Through the Heart - A Greek Romance
Chapter Two: Beneath the Surface
As the battle continued to rage around them, Themistocles and Leonidas found themselves locked in a tense stalemate. Their swords moved with a fluid precision, the clash of steel reverberating through the air as their eyes remained locked in an unrelenting challenge.
Their movements were calculated, each one a testament to years of training and experience. Leonidas' shield bore the scars of countless battles, while Themistocles' armor was adorned with the marks of his strategic prowess. It was a deadly dance, a struggle for dominance that transcended the battlefield.
Amidst the intensity of combat, a sudden lull provided a temporary respite. Their chests heaved with exertion, and their eyes bore a glint of mutual exhaustion. For a moment, they stood facing each other, a silent acknowledgment of the raw power that crackled in the air.
"Tell me, Themistocles," Leonidas said, his voice gruff as he wiped sweat from his brow. "What drives a man like you to stand against the might of Sparta?"
Themistocles' gaze held a hint of intrigue, a glimpse into the complex web of his motivations. "I fight for the vision of a united Greece, a land free from constant strife."
Leonidas' brows furrowed, a mix of skepticism and curiosity in his expression. "And do you truly believe that's attainable?"
Themistocles' voice was tinged with a touch of earnestness. "I do. I've seen the power of unity in the face of danger. We could achieve greatness together."
Their conversation was a strange interlude in the midst of battle—a momentary escape from the bloodshed that surrounded them. There was an odd connection forming, an understanding that their rivalry was built on more than just blind hatred.
The distant sound of a horn echoed through the air, signaling a temporary ceasefire as both armies retreated to regroup. In the stillness that followed, Themistocles and Leonidas found themselves standing side by side, the weight of their weapons no longer a barrier between them.
"I never thought I'd find common ground with a Spartan," Themistocles admitted, a trace of bemusement in his voice.
Leonidas grunted, a hint of a wry smile playing on his lips. "War has a way of forging unlikely alliances."
As the sun dipped lower, casting long shadows that stretched across the battlefield, the two rivals shared a moment of camaraderie—an understanding that beneath the armor and the enmity, they were both men driven by conviction. And as the ceasefire ended and the battle resumed, their blades clashed once more, each strike a testament to the complexity of their relationship.

I learned recently that the male (mlm) equivalent of sapphic is ACHILLEAN and gods it just feels Right, imma start calling myself achillean
Gay? Not quite. I am gay in the same way Achilles was gay: disastrous, twink-y, dramatic, loyal, doomed by the narrative but so full of rage the gods had to stop him unless he'd fell troy before it was supposed to fall, therefore almost breaking fate, and so fucking gay
Im achillean, i dont care, this motherfucked deserved having homosexuality named after him, he truly did, all he did was bitch, pout and slay and love patroclus, he deserves this

Part One
Apollo’s scream ripped through the air in a way that made the sky seem like it had frozen. Helios stumbled, faltering in his movements as he heard the God scream.
“Apollo?” he asked cautiously, before following his eyes down to the boy. “Oh no.”
“Uncle, please!” Apollo screamed as He nearly fell from His chariot, desperate to be able to catch the mortal who has stolen away His heart. “Please,” the whisper fell on deaf ears as He saw the boy shatter against the waves, skin turned back to marble, scattered through the sea.
“No,” the word was stuck in Apollo’s throat as His body trembled, tears building up behind His eyes. Him, a God, crying over the death of a mortal? He knew how His father would see this, but He couldn’t help Himself.
The sky grew dark as Artemis faltered in Her own mission, feeling Her brother’s anguish. No, something happened to Him. Something so powerful that it felt like She was being gutted. Helios was with Him though, so She resigned Herself to finishing Her duties before finding Him to ask what happened. He was safe- at least physically.
Helios didn’t say anything as Apollo cursed His uncles, His father, the Earth and Sea Themselves. He just softly nudged Him forward, letting Him take the chariot back onto its path. Helios wasn’t overly fond of the God, but he could see that he was grieving. Even Gods, he supposed, could learn to love.
Apollo wiped tears from His eyes, a lump in His throat that made it difficult to breathe. He has dug His nails so hard into His palms that ichor had begun to spill. Pooling and dripping down His palms to dot the bottom of the chariot.
“He was the one sending the offering,” Helios finally said, looking at Apollo for maybe the first time ever with soft eyes.
Apollo couldn’t speak. All He could do was nod as His lip trembled. His chest heaving. His nails digging into His palms as He guided the chariot across the sky.
“For what it’s worth, I’m sorry. He seemed like a kind boy,” Helios said in a low voice that felt like it made the sky rumble with thunder.
“I would have given him ambrosia if he’d asked. Anything to have him for a day,” was Apollo’s soft hearted reply.

Sword Through the Heart - A Greek Romance
Chapter One: A Bitter Rivalry
The battlefield sprawled beneath the scorching sun, an arena of chaos and destruction. The clash of weapons and the agonized cries of fallen soldiers were the symphony of the damned, but amidst the madness, two figures stood out in stark contrast. Themistocles, the cerebral Athenian tactician, faced off against the indomitable Spartan King, Leonidas.
Their eyes locked across the expanse of blood-soaked earth, a silent exchange of promises laced with violence. Armor gleamed in the harsh sunlight, a testament to their formidable might. Each step forward carried the weight of their shared history, a history filled with conflict, power struggles, and an unshakable enmity.
As their swords met, the metallic clang reverberated through the air like thunder, their strength colliding in a dance of deadly intent. Dust kicked up with each movement, swirling around them as they circled one another. This wasn't just a battle between armies; it was a battle of wills.
"You Athenians and your silver tongues," Leonidas spat, his voice dripping with scorn as he deflected Themistocles' strike. "Always scheming, always plotting."
Themistocles' lips curled into a tight smile, a mixture of irritation and amusement in his eyes. "And you Spartans, so rigid in your ways, you'd think you were made of stone."
Their swords clashed again, a symphony of fury and skill. The tension was palpable, the air heavy with animosity that had festered for years. As they fought, sweat dripped from their brows, mixing with the dirt and grime that coated their skin.
Amidst the fury of their battle, a strange kind of understanding began to emerge. Each parry and thrust revealed a glimmer of respect buried beneath layers of hostility. It was as if they were two sides of the same coin, bound by fate to clash.
The sun's rays shifted, casting long shadows that stretched across the battlefield like skeletal fingers. The battle had been fierce, but now a quiet moment settled over Themistocles and Leonidas. Their eyes locked once more, a flicker of something unspoken passing between them—a recognition of the strength and resolve that fueled their rivalry.
"Until next time, Leonidas," Themistocles panted, his chest heaving from exertion.
"Indeed," Leonidas replied, his eyes narrowing as he readied for another onslaught.
With a final, thunderous clash of swords, they parted, their rivalry undiminished. The sun sank lower on the horizon, painting the battlefield in fiery hues, and as the dust settled, their legacy as bitter rivals remained etched in the annals of history.

"We All Know How The Story Goes"
[Greek Mythology, Apollo x Icarus]
Masterlist
Warnings: Angst, Hurt/slight comfort(but mostly not), sad ending
Word count: 609 words
A/N: Thank you to my friend for getting me back on the icarusxapollo train, even though you aren't on it yourself...?
Icarus loved the Sun. He had yearned for it all his life while he was stuck in the Labyrinth, paying for the sins of his father. He wanted to see the outside world, the people, the temples, the kingdoms, the Sun. But he flew too far, too close, in the glee of finally having the chance to see all that he had prayed for, in finally being able to bathe in the sunlight he had dreamed of all his life.
And the Sun loved back. He adored this innocent, fearless mortal who lived in such a cruel place. He loved his bravery, his loyalty, his heart, his yearning...
The world didn't deserve the bright mortal, but it got him anyway. So the Sun watched the mortal hope to leave his prison and make that same world a better place. The Sun heard when the mortal talked to him even though he couldn't see the celestial body. Icarus talked about how he imagined warmth from the Sun felt like, how it would shine and make everything else do the same.
The Sun loved the wishes and on days the beautiful son of Daedalus was saddened and hopeless, that maybe he would never see the above, the Sun would send some of its warmth through the cracks of the labyrinth, some light, and once the Sun had convinced the Wind to send him a breeze. It always made the mortal smile.
"Thank you." he would whisper to the Sun, "Thank you. One day, I will thank you while basking in your light."
The Sun waited for that day, for it had plans to confess to the mortal of his own yearning.
When that day came, the mortal and the Sun were so excited! They would finally get to see each other, who doesn't get excited when they finally see their beloved? The Sun held its breath as the mortal's father perfected the wings that would allow them to leave their prison. The mortal was so excited as he adorned the wings. They were flimsy but enough for their purpose. The mortal didn't doubt his father, so the Sun tried not to either.
He requested the Wind's help once again, this time to help its most loved. And the Wind, owing the Sun a favor, blew through the labyrinth, guiding Icarus's flight as he ascended higher and higher. The wings flapped with a delicate rhythm, the wax and feathers trembling just slightly. But the Sun, high above, was watching—its heart swelling with anticipation. It had waited for this moment for so long. The mortal, who had once been lost in the dark, was finally escaping into its light. The Sun could already feel the warmth of their meet as if it could already embrace him from above.
But the mortal, blissful in his newfound freedom, did not yet understand the consequences of such a love. The Sun had given him everything it could, sending its warmth, its light, its guidance—but it had not shown him the danger that came with proximity to its flames. The innocent mortal’s heart was pure, his joy so full that it blinded him to the screams of his father's caution.
For people don't know something very important, Icarus was not the one who loved Apollo most fiercely. It was Apollo who loved his Icarus so much, Too much.
Why is Icarus's happiness in his few seconds of freedom taken for greed instead of delight? Why is "Do not be too greedy." the moral of Icarus's story? Why is not "Be careful with love because sometimes it can destroy you"?
Why isn't it "The Sun's love is dangerous for mortals to have"?
Maybe we don't know the story after all.

❤️Happy Valentine’s Day!❤️
The bounty hunters make their debut!
In order we have Piano Keys, Beetle, and Javy Dohns! Them and their story were/are being written by me and my friend @x-eightball and they’re very dear to our hearts. They were based off of that one tumblr post way back when about how a cowboy, a samurai, and a pirate could have hypothetically met because their time periods over lapped a little. We took the idea and ran with it, so now we have a trio of disaster queers trying to simultaneously dodge the multiple governments that are after them and their mental issues.
