Whirld Islands

Recently I decided to try making foldable fans with my artwork and I actually had to create some designs specifically to fit the template.

Lugia my beloved, I will never get tired of painting it. This is the third and last one of the little set I made. I had so much fun painting the waves even though going over those swirls over and over again made me a bit dizzy at times.

Everything is done by hand in inks.

Realm of Distortion

Recently I decided to try making foldable fans with my artwork and I actually had to create some designs specifically to fit the template.

This Giratina here is the first one of the set! It's one of my all time fabourite Pokémon and I have drawn it so many times. Am I planning to stop? Unlikely.

Fun fact: when painting the scales I ended up going over them five times. Everything is done by hand in inks.

Innuendo Arts by Ma Yuan

Absorbing Li Tang’s (李唐) painting methods, Ma Yuan (馬遠), a Southern Song artist from Shanxi, created his own distinct style.

His painting departs from the usual rich in detail landscapes. Just a hint remains: an open contour, outlined in part. The scene in focus is elaborated; the rest faints into a barely marked space.
