I wish we had more female characters like Eleanor Shellstrop. One of the most unlikable people you've ever met. Read a Buzzfeed article on most rude things you can do on a daily basis and decided to use that as a list of goals. Makes everyone's day worse just by being there. Dropped a margarita mix on the ground and tried to pick it up, only to get hit by a row of shopping carts which pushed her into the road where she was hit by a boner pill delivery truck, killing her instantly. Cannot keep a romantic partner despite being bisexual. Had a terrible childhood but will die before she gets therapy. Best employee at a scam company. Just the worst but also can't help but root for her to improve.

Absolute loser. Girl-failure. Bad at almost everything. Literally perfect female character.

I'm not in 100 years reading wind, so what's the nightstar stuff as well as the harelight execution scene?

The Nightstar Stuff is that they're constantly making it clear they KNOW that cats can lie about getting the 9 lives, they KNOW that a murderer can receive the lives, and they KNOW that StarClan has never rejected an evil cat before... but then they handwave it away because they don't wanna do anything.

Nightstar/Nightpelt gets namedropped six times and vaguely alluded to a dozen more, but it means nothing to the story. You could have just forgotten him entirely and the plot would happen the same way.

Most of this book is the leaders finding excuses to sit on their butts, but I really only need to share one exchange to demonstrate just HOW stupid this is,

"I'd like to think that the ancestors would speak up." A+ logic Squirrelflight. Just believe that reality won't happen. If you cover your eyes it makes the maneating lion bowling towards your face go away. Soblem prolved.

Everyone talks about Marina, Shiver, and Marie's singing voices, but in my opinion, Pearl has one of the best singing voices out of the idols. Yeah, she's mainly known for rapping, but her singing is PHENOMENAL. For such a boisterous gal, Pearl's singing is sweet and lovely. It ranges from adorable to beautiful. There are so many little moments in certain songs that have always stuck with me. I would post videos, but I don't know how to edit them. So, I recommend listening to Off the Hook's songs and paying close attention to Pearl's singing. Massive props to her voice actor, Rina Itou, for voicing her to perfection.

I think the better version of the Roy and Jamie fight should have been cut like canon except when they stand in front of Keeley's door all bedragled she should be like "you gonna tell me what happened? You fight over me?"

To which Roy says no

And Jamie gingerly touches his nose and says "ah, no. But he did come at me like Heath Ledger in that cowboy movie."

Keeley's going ?????? but invites them in. They all get around the table and sit down with frozen peas etc.

And Roy is sighing. Says "what Jamie is trying to say is we've been talking--"

"and doing better things with our mouths..."

"and we realized that while we... Both still have... strong feelings for you... We also have feelings for each other."

Jamie grins behind the peas. "Romantic, like."

Roy grumbles etc but doesn't deny that. So Jamie continues "so we thought, maybe, since we like each other, and we love you, and you have, in the past, liked both of us individually, maybe... Ah. Maybe you'd like us together?"

"the... Three of us?"

"yeah"

"yes"

"oh." And Keeley is sort of stunned because it still absolutely looks like they got in a fist fight and being propositioned a throuple wasn't something she was expecting. "But then... Jamie why is your nose bleeding and Roy's shirt ripped."

"he's clumsy" says Roy.

"Told you, kissed me like Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain, nearly broke my nose. Then I lost my balance, grabbed his shirt, and fell into a trash bin and got all icky."

"sorry about that"

"don't be"

And Keeley finally goes "okay! Well, since you didn't beat each other up like I thought you might've, how about you both get cleaned up and we can... Talk more?"

Which leads to all of them smiling or grinning in some way (because lbr hurt nose or not Jamie would be grinning like mad) and all hustling upstairs, which is where the scene ends.
