I know you’ll probably never read this — but I know in my heart that I need to write it regardless.

amynchan - I am truly sorry for what I’ve done.

I was stupid, and impulsive, and immature, and insensitive and completely and utterly wrong to disrespect your boundaries and make you feel so uncomfortable.

I misread the situation and thought we had successfully reached a better understanding, but I fumbled at the last minute and ruined everything when I tried to start a new conversation with a different topic.

I did not mean to overwhelm you and betray your trust the way I did. I want that to be clear, but I make no excuses for my behavior regardless. I should have stopped then and there, but I acted on impulse in attempt to salvage things, and ended up hurting you as a result.

Words can never properly express the shame and regret I feel about what I did. I wish I could turn back time and undo what I did, I wish I had understood your boundaries better and not made my terrible mistake — but I cannot change the past.

I offer you my deepest and most sincere apologies, but will not ask you to forgive me if you do not want to.

I will understand completely if you never wish to speak to me again — I will respect your wishes and your privacy.

I will always deeply respect and admire you, and will value your advice until the end of my life, and probably even after that.

Remembering one time my family and I were on a flight, and my aunt told us that she and her family had first class. I was upset, but I did try to be a good sport about it. She told me first class had cool drinks and karaoke, and I was Very, Very jealous but trying so, so hard to be a good sport about it. X'D

Then, when we got on the plane, my family and I got into our seats, then my aunt and her family passed us to get into the seats further in the back. I was Very Worried, and I asked what happened to first class. My aunt said she used the karaoke too much and got kicked out. Thing is, she was smiling, so I thought she was just OK with that sequence of events. I felt bad about being jealous and was silently upset for a bit about it.

It didn't even occur to me that she was pulling my leg until years later. ^^;

I was 14.
