why is lestat's turn of events more truthful than louis'?? like, no doubt about it that louis is an unreliable narrator. which he also does admit to himself, he is very aware that he is speaking from his perspective and he doesn't know everything and time does change memories and views of those memories.

but why do so many people in the fandom believe lestat over louis? why is he automatically more reliable and truthful than louis?

one of my absolute favorite things that we need to talk about more is the absolutely fed up look on louis' face s2ep8 when he tells lestat he's going to be with armand.

that man did not want to be with armand and was hoping lestat would throw one of his typical fits, and when he didn't, louis (also insane) realized that, fuck, well now he's gotta commit to the bit.

rewatching s2ep2, I've just realised (or at least theorised) something —

during the coven hunt at the end of the ep, when Armand and Louis each have a cigarette as they talk, Louis dips his head as if waiting for someone to light his cigarette, right?

I always thought 'oh he's doing it out of habit'

but even though we don't see Dreamstat, what if he was there in Louis' mind and Louis was waiting for him to light it?
