hi 👋🏼 what happened to jayce in your content creator au? i haven’t been able to read it yet but….. he has so many scars!! i’m so curious how he got them as a twitch streamer

he worked as a blacksmith for a couple of years before the pandemic hit, and also just gets a lot of them from the personal projects he works on during some of his streams! he's real clumsy sometimes and doesn't really wear the proper equipment (he's usually shirtless for most of it lmao)

some of them are also from the car accident he was in as a child that killed his dad

(SK AU, /gen question) how did Jayce go from losing everyone he cared about to targeting people who wouldn’t be missed? obviously you never need reasons/justification for fanworks/AU logic, i just think it’s fascinating to imagine what it would take for a character to go to extremes and having trouble picturing that leap for him. would be curious to hear your thoughts! as an emotional killer i could imagine him targeting rude/controlling people but attacking say a homeless person? it’s too cruel; my brain can’t compute. unless maybe he always had a suppressed urge to hurt/control? or just wants to burn the world back as long as long as he can because it’s the only relief left? and targeting people who won’t be missed is the best way to keep going/avoid sitting with the guilt/grief? AKA “in for a penny, in for a pound”??

the way i imagined it was sort of like the last theory you mentioned! he has trouble controlling himself whenever his mental drops and targeting people who wouldn't be missed is kind of a "quick fix" while he hones his skills and builds up to going after those who caused his downfall.

he does feel really awful about it afterwards every single time (i can imagine the sort of "i'm sorry, too" energy he gave salo before pounding him to dust in canon to apply here, genuinely apologizing for what he's about to do)

after he meets viktor he sort of stops going after random people though and is happy to focus his efforts on the people viktor wants to hurt
