Quer incluir pessoas não-binárias na língua portuguesa? Priorize o respeito à linguagem pessoal!

Um texto lembrando que “incluir pessoas não-binárias na língua“ significa também lembrar que somos pessoas com nossos próprios conjuntos de linguagem escolhidos por nós porque são os que nos representam melhor. ↓

Há uma certa tendência de falar sobre “linguagem neutra” ou “linguagem não-binária” em círculos preocupados com questões de justiça social atualmente. Uso os termos entre aspas porque eles tendem a ser usados mais ou menos como substitutos para neolinguagem: isto é, a existência de palavras que se encontram fora dos gêneros gramaticais impostos pela língua padrão.

Geralmente essas discussões são em torno de usar alguma forma de neolinguagem como linguagem neutra/genérica, que aqui vou definir como a linguagem que deve ser utilizada para pessoas/seres cujos conjuntos de linguagem pessoal são desconhecidos e grupos onde presume-se que membres usem conjuntos de linguagem pessoal diferentes. Então, por exemplo, ao invés de alguém usar o/ele/o como linguagem neutra/genérica, como na oração “aqueles alunos chegaram atrasados“, alguém poderia usar e/elu/e, como em “aquelus alunes chegaram atrasades“, i/il/i, como em “aquils alunis chegaram atrasadis“, ou qualquer outro conjunto envolvendo neolinguagem.

(Conjunto de linguagem se refere a uma espécie de gênero gramatical, mas é um termo mais flexível por ser compatível com quem quer misturar gêneros gramaticais diferentes. Conjunto de linguagem pessoal é um conjunto de linguagem que deve ser utilizado para se referir a alguém, e então é possível dizer que tal alguém “usa” certo conjunto ou certos conjuntos de linguagem. Mais sobre isso aqui, aqui ou aqui.)

A utilização de neolinguagem como forma de linguagem neutra/genérica é bem-vinda por muites. Isto porque essa combate a ideia de que um conjunto de linguagem geralmente associado com masculinidade e/ou com ser homem (o/ele/o) deva ser o padrão, e também por oferecer uma alternativa mais fácil à inclusão de todes sem que tenham que ser feitos contornos para que o uso de a/ela/a ou de o/ele/o seja mais justificado (como em “todas as pessoas“, “minhas amizades” ou “alguém que trabalha com pintura” ao invés do uso mais problemático de “todos“, “meus amigos” ou “algum pintor“).

A integração de um gênero gramatical que se propõe a ser neutro dentro da língua padrão é um passo à frente tanto em relação a facilitar essa questão quanto em relação a fornecer um conjunto de linguagem pessoal visto como neutro mas amplamente aceito. Este pode assim ser usado por pessoas não-binárias que só querem ser referidas de qualquer forma neutra/genérica ou para se referir a crianças que ainda não desenvolveram suas próprias preferências de linguagem pessoal de forma que não impõe a elas conjuntos de linguagem binários de forma geralmente cissexista e diadista.

Porém, o foco único em padronizar um gênero gramatical neutro muitas vezes deixa de lado a necessidade mais importante de não maldenominar pessoas cisdissidentes e/ou inconformistas de linguagem. De fornecer o respeito básico do uso de pronomes, artigos e outras partes de um conjunto de linguagem que cada pessoa quer que sejam utilizades para si, assim como quem usa a/ela/a ou o/ele/o e possui certa aparência aceitável dentro da sociedade cissexista tem seus conjuntos de linguagem respeitados.

Concordo que o uso de o/ele/o como linguagem neutra/genérica deva ser evitado. Porém, também não acho que isto seja um problema maior do que outras expressões problemáticas comuns no dia-a-dia, como o uso constante de xingamentos capacitistas de forma extremamente casual, de termos racistas para descrever pessoas, culturas, grupos étnicos ou afins, da utilização de termos neutros para descrever grupos marginalizados como gorde ou gay como descrições negativas e por assim vai. Eu defendo o combate a qualquer forma de linguagem opressiva, mas acho ainda mais importante evitar e acabar com formas de violência mais diretas contra pessoas marginalizadas.

Só que o que vejo em debates acerca de qual deve ser o novo gênero gramatical neutro ou se deve existir um novo gênero gramatical neutro é uma falta de consideração com pessoas que dependem de neolinguagem não (só) como uma forma de expressar inclusividade, mas (também) como uma forma de ter conjuntos de linguagem com os quais não se sentem maldenominadas; de ter conjuntos de linguagem que sentem que as representam quando os conjuntos dentro da língua padrão se mostram insuficientes.

Talvez isso pareça fútil para pessoas binárias – especialmente cis – as quais possuem gamas enormes de formas de encontrar validação interna e externa para suas identidades de gênero. Porém, no caso de pessoas não-binárias, muitas vezes a linguagem pessoal é uma das únicas formas que temos para buscar euforia de gênero ou combater inseguranças em relação a não sermos vistes da forma certa. E maldenominação não deixa de poder machucar só porque uma pessoa trans está deixando de ser referida por um conjunto como ê/elu/e ou ly/ily/y ao invés de a/ela/a ou o/ele/o.

Enfim, quando alguém diz que deve existir apenas um conjunto de linguagem válido que inclui neolinguagem e que o resto das possibilidades não presta, isso é um ataque muito mais direto a pessoas inconformistas de linguagem do que o uso de o/ele/o como linguagem neutra/genérica. Quando alguém diz que a única importância da neolinguagem é a formação de um gênero gramatical neutro a ser incluso na norma padrão da língua portuguesa, isso exclui de forma bem mais direta a existência de pessoas que usam neolinguagem em seus conjuntos de linguagem pessoais do que o uso de o/ele/o para se referir a grupos com conjuntos de linguagem pessoais diferentes.

Pessoas não-binárias que não usam (apenas) a/ela/a, o/ele/o, -/-/- ou algum conjunto específico envolvendo neolinguagem já existem. Eu estou entre essas pessoas, assim como outres que conheço. Nós não vamos deixar de existir quando/se houver um gênero gramatical neutro incluso na língua padrão, até porque já nos identificamos usando conjuntos de linguagem pessoais que diferem dos padrões da língua sem aguardar a permissão de ninguém. Nem todo mundo quer expressar neutralidade e/ou indeterminação com a neolinguagem inclusa em seu(s) conjunto(s) de linguagem pessoal(is). Mesmo quem quer expressar tais características pode não estar confortável com os elementos do conjunto escolhido como neutro por qualquer entidade.

A diversidade dos conjuntos que contém neolinguagem não é um problema teórico que pode ser resolvido caso seja decidido um gênero gramatical neutro na língua padrão o mais rápido possível. É uma realidade que precisa ser considerada em qualquer proposta de reavaliação de como se ensina a língua portuguesa de forma que inclui neolinguagem.

Antes de querer debater sobre a inclusão de um gênero gramatical oficial novo, é importante levar em consideração a questão de não impor qualquer conjunto de linguagem em quem não quer ser referide com o uso de tal conjunto, e isso inclui qualquer conjunto de linguagem visto como neutro/genérico. Se a proposta é incluir melhor pessoas não-binárias na língua, é importante não agir como se apenas um dos conjuntos de linguagem usados pelo grupo existisse.

Entendo querer debater sobre qual conjunto é mais adequado como neutro/genérico, levando em consideração questões como a facilidade de ensinar ou de entender o conjunto e o quanto ele parece visualmente ou sonoramente algo “mais masculino” e/ou “mais feminino” do que neutro. Tais discussões podem ser interessantes e saudáveis.

Porém, a partir do momento onde são circulades mentiras sobre o quanto outros conjuntos são inacessíveis e/ou ataques/chacota contra elementos neolinguísticos usados por outras pessoas como parte de seus conjuntos de linguagem pessoal, isso deixa de ser apenas uma discussão teórica sobre a inclusão de um gênero gramatical neutro na língua padrão para também impor de forma violenta quais tratamentos pessoas não-binárias podem ou não podem aceitar para si mesmas. E isso a sociedade cissexista já faz; não precisamos de “aliades/camaradas bem intencionades” para isso.

Corrupted Memories, Part 1

An excerpt from my setting, written entirely to try to inspire myself to return to writing for it. This is not a happy story. -Junebug

Exomilia was gorgeous this time of year.

The vibrant glows of its aurora bathed the capitol in waves of colors, turning an already festive city into a glowing hub of activity. Not even the projected view from the cockpit of Aluni's personal ship could dim the colors as it drifted down through the atmosphere.

Al–ni turned away from the cockpit as his pilot brought them down towards the towering skyscraper that was the headquarters of the company that sponsored the planet's colonization—Exomilia Solutions. With them at the helm, Exomilia had turned into a cement hellscape. There's nothing left of the land under it, the sprawl's gonna kill the rest. People are going to suffer and the suits are gonna laugh and take their entourages off-world and leave them all to die. Even me.

The hydraulics of the landing ramp hissed as it opened, allowing more of the vibrant colors into A––ni's slitted eyes. Even with the slight ache as his eyes adjusted, he straightened his loose shirt and held his feathery antennae high in a smile as he stepped down the ramp.

Awaiting him on the landing pad was another Dopteran, dressed in a sleek suit that caused the puff of gray fur on his chest to frame his head like an extra collar. His lower pair of arms uncrossed from behind him, spread wide in a happy greeting. "A–––i, it's wonderful to see you back here safe and sound!"

Him. Him. He who colonized this world and drained it of resources. He who decided to break this planet over his knees and leave it so ruined a single beat of his wings would shatter every structure on its surface. A–––– still couldn't figure out what project or reason needed every ounce of the planet's resources. It ate at him like a starved nymph in Exomilia's streets.

He– Mirel grinned at him, antennae high and jaws slightly flexed in that awful way he did it. Like a feral ancestor in Doptera's jungles, ready to strike. "You could not have picked a better time. If you'll look towards the streets, we have a situation on our hands."

He looked.

A flood of people were leaving the headquarters and its surrounding buildings. Even with the aurora, he could make out all the colors and patterns and wing and antennae shapes of a fair number of Dopteran subspecies. All of them, walking and flying away from Solutions, from their jobs. From Mirel.

––––– curled their antennae and splayed them in confusion, and hoped it was enough of a show. Inside, they couldn't have been happier.

"Didn't a festival start under the aurora?" they asked with only a glance a Mirel. "I know that's... more than usual, but wouldn't they be leaving to take part around this time anyway?

"I know you have your... fascination with them." Mirel's tone was low. Cold. They could hear a hint of a growl as it escaped his throat. "And without you, I doubt that festival would have cropped up."

Dopterans were a predator species. Hunters. Every muscle in –––––'s body told them to flee to run run run, run this time, he won't catch you, get it out out out, get it out! Their twin hearts trembled in panic.

Mirel rested his upper right arm on their shoulders, and that festering grin returned. "Of course, it does motivate them. And with those implants gaining popularity, they could keep track of every event, isn't that right?"

No, no, no, not again, not again, not again–

<I'm getting an increase in brain activity.>

"Genius little things you made, –––––. Truly genius."

<Clamp down on that code, we've almost got it.>

"But, I would like to solve this problem, this lack of work. And I think you'll love the experience."

The implant activated. Every thought in their mind burned away as pain filled every neuron from their bones to their chitin. Half the crowd screamed as they were wiped away. People fell from the air. ––––– collapsed to their knees and screamed with them as static rimmed their eyes.

<Get a handle on it!>

Mirel stood above them, his jaw spread wide in a hungry sneer. Blood-blue light bathed his maw. "You never were loyal to me, to Exomilia, or to Solutions, were you, –––––?

"But you will be. You'll be perfect."

En lo más árido del desierto más árido hay un poblado llamado la Terquedad. Ahí, la realidad se precipita rápida en paisajes indescriptibles y el agua es una forma de la arena que hermana al lugar con los territorios marinos.

            Se trata de una versión de versiones en la que el líquido vital, corriendo, volviendo, revolviéndose, simula travesías por dunas pobladas que, también al revés, están contenidas en los espejismos. 

            Nómada en rotación, construyo desiertos artificiales, constelaciones de arena, sed en las páginas: una flor en una oda en una urna en la arena de un desierto en un libro. Todo al sumergirme en mi bolsa de mano.

First new 2023 car hits the track as the Alfa Romeo begin C43 shakedown in Barcelona

Alfa Romeo have become the first team to hit the track with their 2023 car, with the new C43 turning laps at a shakedown in Barcelona on Friday morning. Valtteri Bottas – about to begin his 11th season in Formula 1 – was behind the wheel of the car in the morning, with team mate Zhou Guanyu also set to take it for a spin later in the day, as he prepares for his sophomore campaign in the sport. BARRETTO: Can Alfa Romeo go out on a high in their last year in F1 with Sauber? While it is the same driver pairing as last season for Alfa Romeo, it was a winter of change for the Swiss based squad. Effigie de la lune, je me suis baigné dans le nocturne. Portrait de la naissance, j'ai trempé les doigts dans le liquide de la nuit, pensant naïvement pouvoir effleurer les étoiles. Ayant soif des astres, j'ai plongé ma tête dans l'eau, rempli mes poumons de matière noire. Je ne pouvais dès lors percevoir mon reflet.

Un univers contenu dans un océan de zéros et de uns, des galaxies codées dans des gouttelettes. Chaque personne représentait un corps céleste. Des étoiles, d'une nuance propre à chacune, parfois multiples, binaires. Certaines même des constellations, ou des nébuleuses. Il y avait des planètes aussi, telluriques ou gazeuses, proches ou lointaines accompagnées d'adelphes dansants autour. Rarement ai-je aperçu des trous noirs.

Chaque personne représentait une noyade.

Des années, décennies écoulées à n'avoir pu que brièvement remonter à la surface. L'abîme, par la force du quotidien, était devenu mon chez-moi, ma finalité. Moi, lune — je me sentais si éphémère face à vous. Et malgré mes pensées passées, je ne suis inférieur. Je ne suis objet qu'en physique. Je ne comprenais pas, ne pouvais concevoir que nous étions semblables. Comment l'accepter quand la mélodie affirmait antonyme? Comment accepter qu'elle venait de vous?

Ayant soif de conscience cette fois-ci, j'ai embrass�� l'éther.

J'ai aluni. Je me suis vu.

Le miroir qui reflétait lui-même un reflet, qui cachait en son centre l'astre de la nuit. La lueur empruntée m'a redonné vue, la face cachée m'a enlacé.

Par conséquent, je vous ai vu, vous aussi. Les planètes, les trous noirs, les astéroïdes, les comètes, les étoiles. J'ai senti l'air retrouver mes poumons. J'ai mieux compris vos atmosphères, mieux saisi votre énergie, mieux senti votre chaleur, mieux touché votre lumière. Nous nageons ensemble.

So now that we've finished the Mochi Mayhem Event, it's time to talk about the Paldean Legendaries in the Muse Universe. No, not gonna update all the old posts since I'm lazy...y'all just get a once a generation Legendary Update post any DLC...

Ogerpon, the "Loyal" Three, and Pecharunt are all from Crystaland. Pecharunt probably came about due to some corruption in the Crystals effecting a peach, thus the Poison Type (having a world of full magic with Pokemon can explain so much). It then empowered and enslaved other Pokemon to create its retainers. However, they broke free of its control after the Crystals were purified and all went off to other parts of the Region.

Meanwhile, Ogerpon was a shy lil' creature that just lived near Foresta. Still debating having a cute friendship between her and Kaeli.

On the other front, we've got Terapagos. Which was recently summoned as of this writing (Jan 2024) and its origins before that are unknown. Scientists in Northland were trying to make portals to other dimensions and accidentally got this. Escaped and ended up in the derelict Karloon Shrine. But its power is slowly leaking out and in July there will be a huge explosion of power to coincide with ANOTHER experiment which creates a series of underground tunnels of crystal. Which will begin allowing Terestalization in my muses' world.

The experiment that is going to go wrong in July will also bring forth all of the Paradoxes. One past and one future in each region, with them holing up in specific areas. Do note that the Paradox Swords and Paradox Beasts count as "one" for this case as I could not separate them, though both groups are not in the same region. The underground caves also house a ton of them, and a bunch were spit out in the island where my muses' Warrior Academy was on.

In fact, when this happens, they're going to be at an aluni event with their kids (most of whom are in school already) and many of the children go on an adventure with various Paradoxes.

The list... Koraidon and Miraidon have made their homes on Mt. Stavery in Elemen. There's a lot less of them than the other Paradoxes, but still more than one like in the game proper.

Great Tusk and Iron Treads live in the Gayas Island Caves under Linze in Westland.

Brute Bonnet and Iron Hands live in the Dankirk Dungeons in Northland.

Slither Wing and Iron Moth live in the Alive Forest in Crystaland.

Sandy Shocks is in the Karakka Desert in Manaland, while the Paradox Swords are in the route between the Empire's Northtown and Southtown in Manaland.

Iron Thorns is in the Abandoned Mines while the Paradox Beasts are in a forest north of Terazzi in the Lens Alliance.

Scream Tail and Iron Bundle live in the Death Mountain Caves in Hyrule.

Roaring Moon and Iron Valient live in the Phantom Hill Caves in Lakeland.

Flutter Mane and Iron Jugulis live in an Abandoned Factory in Soshen of the Southern Island Alliance.

I don’t know what the largest college protest in history but my vote for the most significant was the take-over of the President’s office at Columbia University in 1968 by the Students for a Democratic Society, which led to the replacement of the Hegelian historic gestalt of dialectical synthesis with the critical historic method of Post Modern Historic Deconstruction, which led directly to the continuation of the generational school yard food fight of the Boomers that resulted the current debate between competing fallacies of the McGovern Democratic Nixon haters versus the toxic Nazification of the Reagan Conservatives composed of the Hollywood John Birch Society and Pat Buchanan and his Plumbers aluni that surrounded Reagan after his assassination accelerated the corrosion of his consciousness by Alzheimer's /

The entire university system made this shift. The SDS believed it had won a spectacular victory and the liberal agenda advanced momentarily under that misapprehension, the problem that any analysis or policy decision will favor Fascism, structurally. GHW Bush, Clinton and Biden understand this, For me, the jury is out on Obama because of his University of Chicago business model, and Shrub was clueless to the bureaucratic treachery of Cheney, but he and Obama prevented the mortgage crises cause by the Nazification of Supply Side economics from blowing up the economy and actually improve the elements necessary for Obamacare.
