I went to the video linked and found a sad update from Krause from 2017-ish or so:

"I haven't made an update video since this video. I haven't known what to say. most of my subscribers know what happened. but I will make a video soon. I had so much anger and hurt I didn't want to make a bad video upset and say things I might regret and I've suffered with alot of depression over the last year because of what happened. so I have just waited. but two weeks after I brought Benji to the sanctuary he suffered a massive stroke and passed awY. he was homesick and refused to adjust. he just wanted to be with me. i will make an update video soon. but if you want to check out Benji's videos. he was such a kind soul. for one of the top predators in North America he was so lovable and so happy and just made me laugh every day of my life with the funny things he did. he was an amazing little guy. i miss him alot. thank you andrea. I'm just so glad thT I have all these videos to look back on. for several months I couldn't watch any of them because it was just too hard seeing him happy and playing with my other animals. but now I watch him everyday. just to look back and remember what joy he brought me. I'll never forget that experience with him."

Hanbin literally tops. Not only is he the leader of the group but has a confident personality. Never seen him do dance challenges with female idols where he is shy, he's mostly confident and would most probably won't even mind confessing his love for you. It doesn't matter if you say it back, as long as he's said it—he feels the wait off of his chest. But if you do say it back, he'll pamper you with kisses.

#02. MATTHEW . . . ✦

Although he seems shy and all cute at first, he seems the type to love-love. Would fear rejection but would also not be able to keep his feelings inside himself and will for sure spill the tea all out. He'd probably say the first ‘I love you’ when it had been just a week and though this might seem like a red flag to some... he just genuinely loved you and couldn't help himself from saying it out to you.

You'd be stupid if you'd expect a leo to be shy in a relationship. Sure there would be times when he'd be the one shy and hiding his face but when it would come to saying ‘I love you’, he won't miss the chance to say it first. Don't mind though, if you give him enough consent he might even lean in to kiss you on the lips.

Eh eh eh... Gyuvin is a playful one and though he's not the type to say it first. He might practice saying it in front of his mirror but even so, he will only say it if it's been over a few months and you two still haven't shared the ‘I love you’s couples were normally supposed to do. He will try to be romantic but will end up sounding awkward and frustrated, so much that you'd have to ask to make sure that he was in the right mind when he had said that.

He's shy (so babygirl coded aghhhhh). Even though he has kissed in a kdrama, boy would be more shy than his members. He would hope that you would eventually say ‘I love you’ to him first but when you were just as shy as him and maybe even more, only then will he agree to take the lead and say it. Will bury his face in his palms and won't look at you until you do say it back or else it'll be a embarrassing moment for him.

He won't say it first even if he can and wants to. That is because he wants to know if you will ever say it first. But again, when he least expects it—he’ll be shy upon hearing an ‘I love you’ directed at him. That too by the one he loves so much. Trust me or not, I'm not putting Yujin at last because he's the maknae. It's because as a pisces myself I can relate to Yujin at times. Even on the boys planet, he was shown as the sensitive and shy typa guy. Which I strongly believe is so close to his real personality. He will NEVER. I repeat. NEVER EVER say I love you first. He's too nervous and shy for that.

drinking "a little" had turned into a lot, although that didn't come as a surprise to anyone. 

osamu had brought plenty of soju from onigiri miya but in case it hadn’t been enough for the nine of them–or more like since at least three of them planned to get blackout drunk–atsumu and oikawa had shown up with even more.

omi was satisfied with one cup he hadn't even finished, listening and talking to a slightly more tipsy akaashi who was ranting about the stupidity of some of his most recent assignments. kenma was nowhere to be seen; he had decided after a couple drinks that it was time for him to go back home, and she couldn’t blame him.

bokuto, oikawa, and the twins were the rowdiest bunch and by far the ones who had collectively already finished off six bottles, with no signs of stopping anytime soon. she had drunk slightly more than she intended to, but she wasn’t anywhere near as bad as the four boys who were practically falling onto each other. 

at some point, she had slipped out of her chair onto the concrete below and suna had ended up there too, both of them maintaining that they were only slightly tipsy.

only slightly tipsy, but tipsy enough to make bold moves, on both of their parts. she had stretched out her legs in front of her, close to the warm fire osamu and bokuto had taken nearly an hour to get started. but it had been worth it, she supposed. perhaps she also shouldn’t have worn shorts in the middle of fall, but it made the heat of the fire feel all the more better. she watched the flames flicker and leap out as if trying to escape the barriers confining it to a pit. she had been so mesmerized by it she almost didn’t notice the hand wrapping around her legs, just under the back of her knees.

she tore her gaze away from the blaze to watch his arm pull her legs up and over onto his own. “you’re too close to the fire,” he mumbled. his hand still rested on her legs after he had moved them, and she didn’t mind his touch. instead, she took her own opportunity to be gutsy, letting her head and upper body lean against him while he began to trace circles over her skin.

at some point she’d run a hand up into his hair, tracing her own patterns lightly onto the back of his head. he responded to her touch, letting his head fall back and eyes close while she continued to stare at the ground, vision blurred and unfocused.

slowly, she tuned into the slurred, noisy conversation of the boys beside her.

“ushiwaka wasn’t even that bad, y’know, ya just had to get used to his big left hand,” atsumu’s voice is the first she hears before it’s followed by a snarky laugh from oikawa.

“oh sure, maybe for your team and loud-ass band. but not everyone’s ego relies on a stupid hand motion to make them go silent. there's no one we hated more than shiratorizawa but it’s not like we ever told anyone to boo them.”

“okay well…maybe that was the difference between your team and ours,” osamu argues

“despite my ‘stupid hand motion’ we still beat his team,” atsumu follows up, “and we had sunarin to match their crazy red-head blocker. and kita.” the mention of their old captain makes both the twins sigh, “man, he really saved our asses, didn’t he? we had a good team.”

she turns her head up slightly to look at suna, not even bothering to hide the fact that she's admiring him, “y’know, i never realized you volleyball players paid so much attention to each other. it’s cute.”

he’s still leaning back into her touch, her hand still in his hair, but he opens his eyes, looking at her from the corner of them with a smile on his face, somewhere between amused and curious, “what’s that supposed to mean?”

“do you have anyone you hate?” she asks, giving him an innocent smile back.

he looks forward again, thinking for a moment before answering, “hm, probably that one kid with the swim goggles. you were there, right? our second year, during the spring high tournament? he was all lanky and annoying, wore an orange uniform…i hated tendou too, just too much energy for me.”

she sees atsumu lean forward in his chair from her peripheral. “tendou! that’s what his name was. you just hated him because he could keep up with you~”

when suna scoffs, she feels the way her skin pricks up at the sound. she can’t stop staring at him; it's been that way since the first day she saw him, and the thought sends blood rushing into her cheeks. “no he couldn’t,” suna retorts and her face only gets warmer when his eyes slide back to her once more. “you were there for our games, always had your little camera on me. could he keep up with me?”

the words get stuck in her throat and her heart skips a beat when he mentions her camera. she’s embarrassed he noticed how often she took pictures of him, and it makes her want to cover her face with her hands, being under his gaze. but before she can think of a response, she’s saved by a hand ruffling the top of her hair and she looks up to see someone standing above her, “omi?”

“it’s time to go home, it’s getting late,” he says, stepping back so that she has room to stand up.

“where’s akaashi?” she asks, slowly getting up and stretching her arms, suna following her shortly after.

“went home,” omi answers, “he didn't drink that much, so he’ll be fine, but i’m more worried about you two.”

“what about the alcoholics?” she giggles when atsumu’s head immediately perks up.

“who ya calling an alcoholic?? we’re not drunk,” he professes, but his slurred words betray him.

omi rolls his eyes at the blond’s response, “i’ll come back for them. i wanted you guys to get home first since i can’t manage all of you at once. and if one of them goes missing while i’m gone…good riddance.”

“we can’t do that!” she laughs, “bokuto’s too good for the world…and i need osamu, he’s my boss. but I guess you're right. if the other two disappeared...well, it would be okay.”

she sees the way atsumu’s brow twitches. “hey! we’re important too,” he yells, waving a hand that’s intertwined with one of oikawa's, whose nodding in agreement profusely.

“okay fine. then all of you get up,” omi orders, watching the group of boys freeze, sharing a look of concern.

it takes several seconds for all of them to successfully get out of their chairs without falling back again, and bokuto and oikawa stay holding onto each other to remain upright. she ends up linking arms with suna while omi leads the way, and he doesn’t seem to mind.

their dorm is closer than hers and they walk there first, all four of the drunkards stumbling through the doorway and collapsing onto their couch or floor as soon as they open the door.

omi gives atsumu–one of the boy’s whose opted for the floor–a pointed look and kicks him lightly, “at least get to your room. get off the floor. you’re disgusting.”

“then you’ll have to help me,” atsumu whines, turning his head to look up at his captain.

omi clicks his tongue, practically glaring at the blond before looking back toward her and suna, the both of them waiting patiently by the door for omi's instructions. he frowns at them like he’s thinking something through before he speaks, “maybe i should’ve dropped you off first, y/n. i don’t think it's a good idea to leave all five of these dumbasses alone when they’re so wasted. right now or overnight.”

“i can walk her home. i’ll keep her safe,” suna’s quick to respond and his words make her heart beat faster, but she tries to blame it on the alcohol. maybe it’s making her more sensitive to everything he says.

omi seems to ponder it for a second before he sighs, “you sure you guys can get there safely?” she nods vigorously along with suna, the both of them looking like toddlers being trusted to go play outside. “take out your phones,” he orders, and they’re quick to follow his command.

“i'll make a group chat between us three and kenma. text it if you guys need help, and one of you let me know when you get home, got it?”

“got it!” she chirps, suddenly feeling energetic. “thank you for letting us go, omi!”

he only nods with another sigh, running a hand through his hair as he turns back to look at the mess of knocked-out bodies in front of him while they close the door behind them.

the walk to her home is short and peacefully quiet, but as they cross a street, she feels him link fingers with her, keeping her from walking off too far. only their pinkies are wrapped together, but she looks at him with a surprised smile that he returns before they walk down the sidewalk, swinging their connected arms back and forth dramatically.

kenma opens the door for them when they arrive, his switch in one hand and a raised brow as suna follows her inside. “i’m going back to my room, text me if you need something,” kenma tells her before quietly disappearing around the corner.

both her and suna collapse into chairs at the kitchen island, a pulsing ache slowly starting to take over the initial buzz of alcohol in her head.

“i should head back,” suna speaks up after a brief break.

her heart drops at the sentence. for some reason, him leaving right now feels like the end of the world, “it’s late, you can stay here–in my room or on the couch. it’ll probably be easier so that omi has less to handle, anyway.”

he weighs his options for a beat before looking at her, “if you don’t mind, that’d be nice.”

“of course,” she smiles, holding his gaze, “you’re always welcome here.”

“thanks,” he returns the smile, “i can sleep on the couch.”

she tries not to let the disappointment she feels show on her face. it’s not that she wanted to sleep with him, but just sharing a room and having him there with her during the night would’ve been enough. but she doesn’t dwell on the thought. she was getting her own hopes up, taking his good nature for something it wasn’t. just because he walked her home didn’t mean he returned her feelings; any good friend would do that. she stands up from her chair, his eyes following her, “sounds good, i’ll get you a pillow and blanket and let omi know.”

kenma and y/n have a very close sibling dynamic in which they fight with each other all the time but are also always secretly there if the other needs help <3

osamu and y/n were hanging out at a park putting together a plan for everyone to meet up before texting the gc to see if everyone could make it

when they were in highschool (this will also appear later lmaoo), atsumu also asked y/n to pretend to be his girlfriend because he was having problems with his girlfriend at the time and although he could've asked someone else, he did it to try and get y/n to fall for him

everyone minus atsumu and osamu pitched in to buy a quick cake and gift for the twins <3 y/n and omi both also already had aditional gifts for them because they knew the twins' birthday was coming up

while osamu and bokuto were trying to get the fire started, they accidentally set fire to a spot of grass on the ground and oikawa screamed before omi stomped it out

when y/n went to get suna a pillow she barged into kenma's room and was like "he doesn't want to sleep in my room 😭😭😭" and kenma's was just "😐😐"

I THINK EVERY DRUNK PERSON IS DIFFERENT and i just didn't feel like trying to make intentional typos or anything in yn's tipsy texts bc it felt like it'd be too much so i'm sorry 🙏

“I don't think I've seen those plants before, my slate isn't recognising them either…”

“Must be something unique to legends Hyrule then, they must've just vanished before your time.”

He’s still focused on whatever is growing above us, although I could've sworn we were just standing under pines. Ones that are common in his home, is there something I’m missing here? What is he focusing on so intently? Is there somethin- 

“You’re looking at the mistletoe? Does it really not exist in your hyrule… I guess that means the traditions doesn’t exist either then, does it?”

“Tradition?”

“So I’m right then? It doesn’t?”

Why does he seem a little ashamed by that, his ears have drooped and he doesn’t want to look at me. Is he that used to always knowing about plants or is it that he’s worried about having lost his memories about it. 

“to be fair wild, I'm not entirely sure it exists in hyrule anyway. might just be something from my world.”

“what kind of tradition is it, do you miss it at all?”

“hmm, well it's mostly just fun… depends on who you're with really. Want me to show you what it is?”

he's perking up a bit now, still a little down but that should change in a moment seeing as he's nodding. 

“You sure? you don't even know what it is and you wanna go through with it?”

“You’re not making it sound like a good thing… Twi isn’t going to lecture us for this is he?”

“No, no of course not. Not unless he’s got a secret crush on me anyway.”

Before he had a chance to respond, I already had a hand on his collar pulling him toward me. If he wants to learn about the mistletoe then what could possibly be better than experience. I’ve been wanting to kiss him for a while now too, so it’s a perfect excuse. His lips are so soft, incredible considering how he lives the shrine must’ve had some permanent effects after it all. Kissing him is awkward to say the least, the mixture of him being caught so off guard and the fact he’s frozen solid leads to a very quick attempt at a quick peck on the lips. 

Until it's over, and I've pulled away from him. It'd be a lie if I said I wasn't mildly disappointed by how little he reacted, maybe I was reading all the signs wrong and he simply didn't care for me like that. I should have given him more of a hint to what I was going to do, if he doesn't like me then it was simply cruel to force him to kiss me.

“I - sorry I didn't - I made you uncomfortable I should've told you what it was. I'm sorry link.”

“That’s the tradition then? Pressing your lips to someone elses?”

“Not quite - it’s to kiss whoever you’re standing under it with but I didn’t want to overwhelm you with...hu-!”

The disappointment must’ve shown on my face, or he just… did he just want to kiss me again? This time he’s the one taking the lead, holding my face so gently in his hands sliding his fingers slowly into my hair. The fact that he’s likely never kissed anyone makes it more clumsy, gently and softly he’s trying to find the best way to do it and I’m loving every second of it. Even despite it being the most uncertain kiss I’ve ever had… it’s taking my breath away simply how much care is going into it. Drawing a soft gasp from me too with how he’s biting faintly on my lips. 

Everything has to come to an end eventually though, as he pulls away with a smirk and the cutest blush I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I’ll have to devote a lot more of my time to flustering him from now on, there’s no possible way that I could go without seeing that at least once more in my life. I would rather the shadow simply kill me than be condemned to that fate.

“ - It was amazing link. Would you… if I asked would you do it again?” That seemed to be the final thing to fully overwhelm him, with his face going from being softly dusted with blush to being a scorching crimson while he’s trying to shy away in his own hair. omg i’m super sick rn to the point i had to be sent home but like it just reminded me of fragile reader sm 😭 like fragile reader was def sick before it was really bad. like isolated flus and colds that dottore was always able to fix up medicine for. it must have been so jarring the first time he’s never been able to find a solution for it.

also i js realized that akademiya segment would not realize that reader is sick until he gets shown that they are. like he probably only carries memories of healthy reader so when prime shows him reader so they can be taken care of he looks like this:

AHH 💌 ANON I HOPE YOU'RE FEELING BETTER BY NOW :(( *hugs* make sure to rest a lot and take it easy okay? But yes Dottore definitely (begrudgingly) took care of you during the Akademiya whenever you fell sick (under the premise he wanted you to hurry up so you could help him with his work again, but in reality he genuinely wanted you to get better, he's grumpy and always contradicting himself like that.)

No one likes being sick, especially not you as you hated the feeling, but at least you had your Zandik to concoct his own little medicine and remedies that somehow worked far better than the other stuff. Perks of having a genius boyfriend you guess. The cuteness is also a mega bonus. He's still his grouchy irritable self when you're sick but like... in a good way? For example, if you try to get up to do chores or whatnot, he'll force you to go back to bed (verbally and physically are both possibilities.) On those days when you're too sick to get out of bed and do basic tasks, he'll help clean you, feed you, change your clothes, etc... you feel bad because he's doing all this work while mumbling how he told you to be more careful, but deep down he doesn't like to see you so defeated so he doesn't mind. Although this is his first time taking care of someone (he doesn't even take care of himself sometimes) it may seem a bit lackluster in the beginning but he grows into it. (He's still not cooking though.)

But YEAH when the numerous medicines he whipped up did not work he was thrown in for a LOOP. Like all of a sudden, the routine he's held for so long is broken? He's lost, he's confused, he's annoyed and he's frustrated (at himself, not at you) for being unable to make you better again.

ALSO OUCH... well it really depends on when actually he cloned the Akademiya segment. I always hc he cloned him after you fell ill, like i guess the age when Pierro recruited him in the desert, but mhm... cloning him before gives me angsty ideas. Akademiya Zandik segment thinking everything is normal, and that the one person he cares about is alright but... then he sees your sleeping body and well it takes a few moments for it to click and for him to realize those memories are nothing more than in the distant past...

What's ur fav piece of trivia for every* character?

(*or at least as much as you can recall off the top of ur head)

my favorite trivia for characters is usually just whatever i think is funniest so just keep that in mind. that's not always the case but you might see it become a pattern. oh the other thing is whatever is most soul-crushing so yeah.

Ichika - either the fact her name comes from how her parents met (because i think it's really sweet) or that she accidentally discovered miku when she was watching videos on her dad's tablet and opened a recording of a miku concert

Saki - she used to listen to the song Time Machine when she was in hospital (at Ichika's recommendation) to remind her of family and friends. It's the in-universe reason why she is featured on the cover. This is actually one of my favorite facts in the game overall.

Honami - she is surprisingly good at flirting

Shiho - not one I've posted before, but in Run! Sports Festival! she couldn't bring herself to throw any of the balls in the ball toss because they had cute animal designs on them

Minori - she once passed out because Haruka wished her happy birthday.

Haruka - she likes penguins because she thinks the way they waddle is cute and she likes how round a lot of penguin merch is

Airi - she followed all of Shizuku's campaigns and bought all the magazines she was featured in when she was still a member of Cheerful*Days. She insists it was just research.

Shizuku - either that she usually has a thermos of miso soup on her to eat after practice or archery club or that she isn't good at texting. i haven't posted either of these before

Kohane - again one I haven't posted yet, but her favorite photo she's taken of Count Pearl is one of Pearl eating mice. the rest of VBS are surprised that she isn't squeamish about that sort of thing (i dunno what they're talking about that sounds like a very cool photo).

An - the possible symbolism of the black stripe on her new school cardigan. hello to the person who submitted that i am still not over it.

Akito - in Cinema he's the only person to sing solo during the first two choruses, the others don't get solo parts in the chorus until the end of the song. i think about this one a lot actually

Toya - he can't swim

Tsukasa - he's the comedic relief and there's a lot of really random shit i know about him because of that, so my favorite fact about him is whatever will have the most impact in the moment if i were to mention it out of nowhere. for a less vague answer, this one although i consider it to be one of my worst posts

Emu - she's very good at replicating cartoon faces. i like this one because it raises a few questions about whether the L2Ds are still exaggerated or if she just looks like that and no one questions that she actually has a cartoon face. what if project sekai ends with them all becoming self-aware.

Nene - either the fact that she thinks the forest has good graphics or that she called rui's mom "auntie" when she was younger because i think it's cute.

Rui - i like a good reference and i appreciate that he sometimes references famous people and media.

Kanade - she's left handed. i also like that her family name was made up specifically to contrast with the rest of N25.

Mafuyu - either that it's shown one time that she can see ghosts and then it's never brought up or referenced again, or that the "mom's cooking" listed as her favorite food might refer to the bunny-shaped apple slices her mother would make for her when she was a kid. i also like the detail that her eyes being two-tone is because she inherited the eye colors of both her parents.

Ena - twitter user. also despite loving cheesecake, she doesn't like cheese. girl what the hell.

Mizuki - they started out editing by making AMVs for a magical girl anime they liked. Amia comes from the name of a character from that anime. also did you know they put ice cubes in noodles because of their sensitive tongue. ice cubes.

Kotaro's favorite food is strawberries but he doesn't like strawberry flavored things for whatever reason

EARTHSPARK SEASON 2 SPOILER'S

So, this is just my opinion, based on the 9 (10) episodes that have been released.

Nightshade was not developed. Ok, I'll just deal with it and move on, they're one of my fav char's list, but they still cute and genius so im fine with it.

Hashtag has gained more development. I really enjoyed watching her, there wasn't much of her in the first season. More than satisfied. I really liked her new altmod, it’s beautiful, stylish, the Hashtag are great

Cosmos was shown only for a couple of minutes and forgotten, very disappointing. Where did he even go? Maybe I missed something, I don’t deny it. Let's just move on.

We got more Skywarp and Novastorm. And by more I just mean more, there was no revelation or experience at all, there was just more. Okay, that's fine with me, okay. Im just happy with fact they are here at all lmao

The Twitch and Spitfire arc is GREAT. I mean, she's GORGEOUS. I really liked it, especially the fact that Twitch beat Skywarp, lol. Okay, jokes aside, Twitch really grew up in this arc, I really liked her more, she's grown-up a little, my lil girl

The twist with the fact that titan was expected under the city, I liked it too. The titan herself is very beautiful and wise, I will wait for her in future episodes, it’s too early to say anything more clear, but at the moment I’m in admiration

Now let's get to the part I don't really like. Another thing's was quite acceptable, but that was somewhat disappointing

DESEPTICON RELATIONSHIPS.

I don't want to say that there were no interactions among the Decepticons, but I didn't get enough of them. I don't have enough Starscream, Soundwave, Novastorm, Breakdown, I DID NOT ENOUGH ANYONE AT ALL. I fkng needed an episode before the betrayal where they showed us the relationship between the Decepticons, Autobots and Terrans. But they showed us four or something dmn pictures and retold it, not even a two-minute flashback, I’m completely disappointed!!1!

I mean, we weren't even given a FLASHBACK. This is kind of crazy. Just like what Starscream's arc fell into.

I know he never said he would be good. I still like him, I understand his actions, but IT SEEMED TO ME THAT AFTER SEVERAL YEARS (?) IN PRISON, he finally rethought something. I didn’t expect the level of Armada, no, that’s foolish i think, but I expected that they would show more of his motives, more of why he does this, because now I have the impression that he has not changed at all and has rolled back to the state before the first season, like WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS BRO. No, of course, this could be connected to Emberstone, but Starscream didn’t seem to touch it, at least they didn’t show it or i missed something.

(I know Starscream loves Cybertron and everything of it, but it’s been showed on IDW, they don't tell something about it in earthspark. Starscream here just wanna home for him and Decepticons, but for some reasons he doesn't even try to hear Shockwave's opinion about going back to Cybertron and I wanna MORE information about it)

At first it seemed to me that the Decepticons have quite a good relationship, and Starscream is a good leader, but now I think that the others will simply kill him or just kick out as soon as they find him, after what Starscream did. (although I think there is a chance that they will understand and accept him, given Shockwave's words that "Starscream couldn't handle the weapon and lost his mind" or something like that)

BTW Earthspark is still a cool series and I'm looking forward to the continuation. I really love it. Everything written here is written on emotions after the first viewing, do not take it close to heart.

Even after all this time I still can't describe how good this scene is and all the steps needed to get to it.

From the beginning of the episode, Toralei was so committed to the new relationship she built with Clawdeen, joking, laughing and studied the whole werewolf/werecat rivalry (how ironic, right?). And then we are shown how prepared Toralei is about defending her friendship with Deen, confronting her mother in a way that has never been shown in the series (shame on you Toralei, a puppy offers you comfort and you adopt it in such a short time).

Another interesting thing is the fact that Catarina forces Toralei to choose between taking the werewolf necklace or siding with her enemy (because you know she doesn't care if they are friends). In my opinion, this was her way of saying “you are choosing between me or wolf girl, because there will be consequences.”

and although Toralei seems distressed by the conversation (she is her mother after all) in the next scene she is completely willing to help Deen. This kitten really entered this friendship with her heart, she believes what she said, Clawdeen is her friend. From the beginning of the episode, this was never a doubt for her. However, on the other side we have Clawdeen who is cautious, mainly because of her friends, but let's be empathetic, they just want to protect her (and it's not like Toralei has never done anything to harm them). She wants to believe it, but it's not that simple when everything around her says it's a bad idea. So she makes the safest decision, leaving Toralei out because it's easier to have things under control when she knows what to expect.

As we get closer to the end, Clawdeen decides to give the necklace to Toralei instead of Clawd and at that moment we have one of the scenes that melted my heart the most. Toralei is not only surprised that Deen is trusting her, but she also doesn't seem to believe that she deserves that trust, "after all everything she's done” she wouldn't blame Clawdeen for not trusting her. And then we have one of the most powerful lines Toralei could speak:

"Thank you for forgiving me, for believing in me"

Validation is something very important for Toralei, her entire career in the series was in search of validation, whether from her mother, her superiors and even the other students at the school. Toralei needs to be seen constantly because if she catches attention at least someone will see that she exists. But when Clawdeen sees her and believes in her, it validates her feelings and Toralei holds on, holds on tight, because validation means Clawdeen cares.

These two have built a very strong bond and even though the creators don't intend to focus so deeply on their relationship, it's cool to theorize these details because it gives depth to the characters. I'm looking forward to seeing their evolution in the second season, I want more cute and very gay moments to freak out

What do you think about the fact that Aegon was shown to be a rather loving father and kind king in the first episode?

From what little I've seen, he just seems interested in his son because... well he's a son. Nothing more. Not to mention being his heir.

He seems to not care enough about his daughter.

And this even if fans of Aegon II try to exaggerate his gesture like "oh it's so cute he checks his daughter without touching her so as not to disturb her, and probably also because she doesn't like touching him like his mother", whereas... he just checked if it was his son because he can't tell the difference seeing his daughter from behind (although she has a pretty specific hairstyle that might help his guess...).

Also I've seen a lot of defender Aegon II in mode, no one can be sure whose back child is, but the fact is that he didn't pay any attention to the girl when he saw that it was a girl (and also... believe me, I have seen mothers with their children among other children who looked like theirs and even from behind they could generally recognize them... even if they are girl and a boy twins).

And others actually say that "oh it's adorable Aegon II is able to tell the difference between his children !!!" Once he saw the kid face to face ? Because once again, he quickly checked which of the two children it was ? So how is he capable of making a real difference between his son and his daughter if he has to see them face to face to do that ? You know, most parents know how to differentiate their children from the front, even if they are twins... What it so like it's some kind of feat for some people ? WTF ?

Then like I said, once he saw that it wasn't his son, he didn't really seem care about this kid.

(And people still try to say that this scene and the one with the boy is proof of Aegon II being a real good father to Daemon... Daemon who at least showed interest in his daughters by learning the high Valyrian to Baela, saying that Pentos was his and his /children - so his daughters' - home, and that he collapsed on the beach when baby Visenya died, not to mention that he was visibly excited by the birth of his children, whether with Laena or Rhaenyra. That he actively defends his step sons alongside Rhaenyra. And that in addition to seeming proud to present Aegon III and Viserys II, he had a real gesture of affection for Viserys II, running his hand through his hair and trying to console him when he cried, but hey... I guess it's all worth absolutely nothing !)

And besides, he doesn't even know where his son is now. Like his son is having lessons and he doesn't even know it ? WTF ?

Not to mention the looks the servants give each other when Aegon II is there ? They are clearly afraid of him ?

So basically what this scene shows is that Aegon II can't tell the difference between his son and daughter from behind, even though they have relatively different hairstyles.

That once he realizes that it is not his son once he has seen her face he shows no interest in his daughter and is only interested in his son, of whom he ultimately does not even know not only the latter has lessons, things that are nevertheless elementary.

(Besides, people who think it's a great sign of love that Aegon II can tell the difference between twins may simply not think it's because he's so much more interested by the boy that he can actually tell him apart from the girl from the front ?)

He doesn't understand Helaena, and the maids are obviously afraid of him !

Oh yes, what a wonderful father, brother / husband (I also remember that he said Helaena was an idiot in season 1) and individual !

So sorry, but the whole nonsense that Aegon II is a loving father will still be bullshit to me.

He's clearly still the same disgusting person in my eyes and that won't change.

As a reminder that Alicent has plenty of moments where she seems / or try to be tender with her children, and that doesn't stop her from being a horrible and hypocritical mother to them. (While for Daemon, I remind you that we have no canonical proof in the show that he is really a bad father. On the contrary he seems completely correct, despite Rhaena's words, and all the cut scenes or the script original supports this, and so the word of Laena about Daemon trying to do his best. Aegon II and Alicent, on the other hand, in addition to their canonically horrible behavior towards their children unlike Daemon who does not have this kind of behavior, well they have nothing positive in relation to the relationship they have with their children add in the scrips to counterbalance all this for example...)

And as for being a kind king, I haven't seen the whole episode yet, just parts for now. I'm waiting to finally see it in full before giving a real opinion on it (if I have the courage... because normally I had planned to wait until the end of season 2 to watch the episodes in full). But I'm willing to bet I won't feel that way either.

Loki S2 Review

I rewatched S2 and I liked it even more on the second watch. I'm giving it a 6 out of 10 in average(8 for the finale). Since I didn't post a review week by week like for S1, I'm just going to talk about the main things I liked/disliked

The Improvements & Things I liked:

The pace and the narrative's tone and framing have changed. While the pace drops sometimes, these moments aren't as boring as S1. Meaning you don't want to constantly check when it's going to end(like you know, S1 and especially 1x06). The narrative is neutral and doesn't villain code Loki and hero code others. It doesn't turn Loki into a clown, a punching bag or someone who deserves humiliation(I guess they've done enough of that in S1). On the contrary the characters are shown as flawed people, with Loki being the most moral, considerate, logical and heroic amongst them.

They stated bluntly in episode 1, that what TVA used to do, were atrocities. That they were killing numerous innocent people who had a right to live their lives as they chose.

The characters were three dimensional, likable or tolerable despite their actions in S1. They showed remorse for the things they had done. Although the way the narrative chose to go about it in S1 still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It shouldn't happen to you for you to realize sth is wrong. But at least it was shown that the characters weren't slaughtering people mindlessly and some of them deep down knew it was wrong. Although the fact that they still did it, because of the "greater good", and "woe is me! It's not a comfort it's a burden" attitude about it is repulsive.

Loki using amazing magical stuff and DID YOU SEE THE GREEN MAGICAL GLOW IN HIS EYES?*incoherent screaming*

No Romance. It was unnecessary and rushed in S1. This time they focused more on Loki needing friends and that was definitely a better choice imo and what they should have gone for in S1 too.

Sylvie's actions and personality framed as what they were. She wasn't put on a pedestal as this amazing different FeMaLe version of Loki. She was framed as a flawed character with wrong and right actions and beliefs.

Loki and Sylvie's talk in the pie land, about change, hope, fixing what's broken and being gods. That sigh before Loki saying "We are gods" with all the weight of the world on his shoulders. Wonderful acting.

The ending and its epic soundtrack.

Topics & Things That Could Have Been Handled Better:

The Topic of New York Invasion

"Sometimes a rage builds up and you just gotta let it out. Do you remember that time I was so angry with my father and my brother, I went down to Earth and I held the whole of New York city hostage with an alien army? Tried to use the mind stone on Tony Stark? It didn't work so I threw him off the building. It wasn't tactical. I lost it"

On the surface it looks like Loki's saying that's why he attacked New York and probably most people accept this without a second thought.

But the context of the scene matters. We see during the interrogation Mobius loses his temper. He was worried about Loki getting angry, but he was the one who loses his temper and hits Brad. Loki tries to calm him down by sympathizing with him to try and see what caused his behavior. It's the same thing he did for Thor in the first movie, before coronation and after it, while Thor was nervous and angry. What he says about New York while isn't the whole truth, it also isn't untrue. He was angry with Thor and Odin but as we know his anger and thoughts were influenced by the scepter. We also know Loki doesn't like to talk about his time with Thanos or being tortured. Instead he uses a half-truth, sth that is in character for Loki.

So the scene can be rationalized by this analysis but it's still annoying that this analysis is even needed. They should have been clear about the scepter's influence especially when mcu confirmed it.

Loki thinking about Thor's change as being a weakness. While both Thor and Loki were groomed and taught to consider being soft as a weakness, that wasn't Loki's true feelings. At least I don't think someone who prefers words and magic-that are considered a weakness in Asgard-over brawn thinks like that. His goal in the first movie was to goad Thor into fighting him. So the line should have been sth like this: "Asgard taught us being soft is a weakness, so I used that against Thor to goad him into a fight. I said he's gone soft…"

Plotholes and things that weren't explained.

Why Loki and Sylvie weren't sent to their original timelines like others? And why neither of them showed any interest in seeking their family? You're telling me Loki wants to see these people he knows for 10 seconds more than Frigga or Thor? OOC.

Sylvie's sudden mastery of magic since 1x06 isn't explained. She didn't know much, but then suddenly could do everything Loki did. I mean I can headcanon that her and Loki linking their power taught her some things but these sudden developments without any explanations are annoying.

Loki's genderfluidity. No mention of it at all. Although I believe that no representation is better than bad representation. And you should leave a topic alone if you don't understand it, otherwise you're gonna mess it up. Because bad rep can be more harmful. And so maybe it was a good thing mcu let that one go. But they could still fix it with some shapeshifiting, explaining its difference with illusions and Loki confirming that he is comfortable in her female form.

Loki's clothes. It's probably not that important in comparison with other issues but I really hate that beige suit. Why Sylvie who doesn't even want to be Loki and wasn't in Asgard since childhood changes into an Asgardian outfit for a fight and not Loki? Yeah I get it. It was because of the last reveal and transformation and finding his identity blah blah blah but at least they could have gave him his old Asgardian clothes or he could change the suit's color ugh

Criticism & Things I didn't like:

The ooc moments for Loki in some comedic scenes. Especially in episode 5. While the character has a comedic potential, it's not based on clownery or clumsiness. The best humorous moments for Loki are the ones where he outwits others, use sarcastic language or he is being outwitted despite his careful plans.

Certain emotional stakes aren't clear from the start. The audience know that saving TVA is the right thing because it protects all the freed timelines but they don't know why they should care? Or more accurately why Loki is so emotionally invested in this goal. That gets answered in episode 5 and while Loki's talk with Sylvie is a good emotional scene, the fact that it's stated so late in the story, makes the first few episodes boring when it comes to saving TVA.

The main reason the emotional stakes aren't clear(at least for me), I believe is because most of the people Loki call them his "friends",  haven't done anything to either deserve his friendship or aren't close enough to be considered a friend. Let alone someone Loki tries to move heaven and hell to be with them, instead of for example trying to find his brother and family. It is an issue which again is rooted in S1 and carried to S2. What happened in S1 wasn't therapy or a healthy friendship.

However, Loki being loyal to anyone who show him an ounce of affection or him being moral enough to try to save people are in character for him and that's sth good about it.

The torture scene.

The trick Mobius and Loki pulled was predictable as hell. I didn't even doubted Loki in TDW, let alone here. And even though I didn't believe for one second that Loki's actually going to hurt the guy, and he wasn't shown enjoying it, I still hated that he went along with the torture idea Mobius had come up with. Especially considering the fact that he was a victim of torture himself and never shown any sign in canon that he would torture someone. So yeah I hated that scene.

And why that scene was even necessary? Loki could get into X-5's mind when they weren't in TVA. We know he is capable of it. He did it both through mind stone in Avengers and in TR. how else they were going to delve into Mobius' problem though smh

But alright let's say they needed a scene like that. Still the whole Brad believing Mobius is against torture, and Loki's the one who would be in favor of it, is so fucking ridiculous. Any way you look at it, it has always been TVA and Mobius who did any torture we've seen during the two seasons. The tortures that Loki endured might I add. Even in the previous scene, it was Loki who didn't hit Brad and only tried to intimidate him non-physically by acting as a villain. It was Mobius who hit him, who was shown more affected by Brad's insults. So logically the scene they had planned to fool Brad, should have been played completely the opposite way. By having Mobius do the torture. At least it was recognized that the torture idea was from Mobius and both he and Loki gave the credits for it to Mobius.

Verity Willis. Hunter B15 unlike the Verity in comics, doesn't have a close friendship with Loki or truth detector powers. Not having a good friend like comics Verity for Loki, was such a wasted opportunity in the series.

Mobius saying to Loki "You're a man of action...". That was such a stupid, unnecessary line. As if the main difference between Loki and Thor wasn't Thor acting before thinking, and Loki thinking and planning before acting. While Loki is also a man of action, he is first and foremost a man of strategy. The only plausible explanation imo is that Mobius said it to not feel useless in comparison with Loki and his skills.

"Thor's not that tall". Yeah, no. I don't think Loki's reaction to seeing Thor and Odin's statues would be that. Knowing his brother and family were murdered by the very same people he's working with now. Remind me again why he's considering them "FrIeNdS"? Someone really needs to explain the concept of friendship to Loki. Or rather the writers of this show.

And while we are at it. Let's talk about how Loki's past and identity issues were completely swapped under the rug as if they were all magically fixed and didn't matter anymore. As if those weren't the most important part of his journey. Another issue rooted in S1.

Final Thoughts(for now :D)

Season 2 was definitely better than season 1. Not perfect, and not for those who care about OG Loki's issues. They set him on a completely different path in S1 and they messed up any chance to actually delve into his problems. So in S2 we're having a character that we're supposed to accept has moved on from certain issues, and now tries to find what he wants and where he belongs. Still, I think that they listened to the criticism for once as they tried to fix some of the problems of S1. After many years it didn't feel like that the creators hate the character, or using him as a prop, or a plot device. It was a story about Loki. A bittersweet story for the god of stories.

“So that’s it then? You’re just going to roll over and let that dog have him?” Irina accosted Tanya back in her room, not bothering to keep her voice low for their guest that slumbered just down the hallway.

Tanya envied the girl for not just having Edward but also for being able to escape reality with sleep. Sleep was something Tanya dearly missed although she couldn’t remember what it felt like to be vulnerable in unconsciousness.

Her fingers rub at her eyes. “What do you want me to do, Irina? Edward has made it clear many times that he doesn’t want me. I’m exhausted of this. Let him have a mate that will drag him into danger. That seems to be what he wants.”

Like a caged animal, Irina paces back and forth further vexing her adoptive sister. “The audacity of him bringing that thing here. . . Our natural enemy. . . I don’t understand what’s going through the Cullen’s heads. Do they really desire the wrath of the Volturi? it’s like they don’t remember what happened to Sasha and Vasilii?”

“Enough Irina!!” Tanya exclaimed, startling the other. “It’s done with. I get the hint. I finally get the hint.” Her voice cracked but Tanya ignored it. “At least a wolf is better than a human. At least she’s from our world and won’t be easily killed.”

Irina’s red lips sneer. “You’re spineless.”

Already exhausted, Tanya snapped at her. “Get out of my room.”

She does so but not before slamming Tanya’s bedroom door to the point that the doorframe splintered.

Tanya sighed, finally allowing herself to sit down on her rarely used bed. Irina just made her mood even worse. But. . . Releasing Edward took a heavy weight off of her shoulders. Something she didn’t know she’d been carrying around for all these years. Maybe it was the fact that she’d never been denied by a man before. Not even other male vampires turned away from her advances. Edward though had always been a different story.

She wouldn’t lie if anyone pointed out that it hurt her pride. That and how could she not fall for someone like him? He was chivalrous, a real gentleman. Somehow through all the horror he’d been through, Edward still maintained the gentleness of a human soul. Incredibly rare among vampires, it was all the more endearing to Tanya. She could see a future with him. A mate to call her own. Edward never thought of her like that though.

Her eyes burned viciously with tears she could no longer produce. This was a long time coming but it was still painful. Especially having to see them together shy as they find footing in their new relationship.In that aspect, Tanya would admit that they were cute together in an odd way which made her feel even worse.

She'd never seen Edward like that after decades of knowing him. He was always calm and collected and annoyingly stoic at times. That flash of anger he'd shown her was alarming as was his helplessness toward the situations facing him. Her own life hadn't gone quite as planned. A young Tanya would have never guessed that she would be turned into an immortal creature that survived off of the blood of others. Life was funny that way. Even after being turned there were surprise twists that caught her off guard like Sasha breaking one of the Volturi's most important rules: not turning children. They still had no answer as to why Sasha would doom herself like that. She'd known it was illegal and the penalty was death. Not just her death but the destruction of the newborn she had created so flippantly. The scene forever clear in Tanya's memory banks. She still remembered the red eyes of Dimitri, Felix and Marcus. How after the execution of Sasha, the went after the immortal child Vasili. He especially would not be spared even if he was guiltless. By the law of nature he especially shouldn't exist. Even among vampires, turning children was considered an abominable act.

Edward was no exception to the game of fate.

Neither was that wolf girl.

Your sleep was fitful at best since you found it difficult to even relax enough to fall asleep. The predator in you would not be lulled, not when it smells adversaries in the same living space as you. Both human and wolf were somewhat grateful when the sun finally began to stream through the window curtains. You wouldn't have to keep forcing yourself into a sleep that was alluding you.

The electric clock that was on the nightstand told you that you had only been asleep for a handful of hours.

Brain already alert, you start washing up and attempting to look presentable. You were brushing out your hair when you smelled it: pancakes. A loud gurgle rips from your stomach and you can't remember the last time you ate. It must've been when Edward had stopped for gas and you got down to get some road snacks. Even that impromptu meal consisted of food that lacked nutrition.

Delectably tempting, you allow your nose to lead you outside of the guest room you’d occupied and into the hallway.

The second level of the grand Denali house was large to accommodate all of its occupants. Halls in the shape of a giant ‘L’ shape. Guest room was at the far end, closest to the staircase. Much like the outside of the cabin, the inside was fashioned with dark woods.

You turn when you hear someone making their way up the steps. Edward stops halfway up and smiles at you. “How did you sleep?”

Hating that exhilarating shyness his smile reduced you to, there was nothing you could do about the grin that spread across your lips. You lie and assure him you were well rested. Acting the part was easy for you considering adrenaline was pumping through you from the very moment Edward pulled the car into the long driveway that led to their hidden home.

“Kate’s made you some breakfast.” Edward gestures with his head downstairs.

As if in a reply, your stomach lets out a whiney growl.

Edward full heartedly laughs. You follow him down and into the kitchen.

Seeing a vampire doing simple domestic things was an odd scene to stumble upon. Kate was just setting down a plate with three perfectly shaped pancakes. Did they happen to have ingredients for pancakes or were they bought specifically for your visit? There was no reason for a vampire to have human food in their pantries and fridge. From what you knew about the Cullens, you knew their cooking appliances were simply for show.

Tanya has her back pressed against the fridge, watching her sister until you and Edward walk in.

”Good morning, (y/n).” Kate looks up at you with a pleasant smile. “Edward, we would like to speak to (y/n) privately.”

Worriedly he glances at you. You nod confidently and shoo him off with your hand.

Reluctantly he leaves you with them.

“Thank you for breakfast. I appreciate but you really didn’t have to.” You take the chair where the plate had been set in front of. Internally you were scolding the hairs on your neck that were stick straight up. The scent of unfamiliar vampires really did a number on you. You felt the smallest of tremors run along your spine.

“It was no trouble at all.” Kate waves you off and takes the seat across from you. Tanya stays put where she is but turns her body toward where you and Kate are sitting. “Despite all that’s happened with your pack and Laurent, we want you to feel welcomed. Edward and all of the Cullens have been are greatest friends for years.”

“Which leads me to apologize for how I came out you.” Tanya begrudgingly tells you. “You’re here on a mission of diplomacy and have done nothing but be polite.”

A moment was required to observe her and see if she really meant it. Tanya held your gaze in complete earnest.

“Thank you. I understand your apprehension though. As for Irina. . . I would say my pack regret killing Laurent, but we were just doing our job in protecting the humans of Forks.”

Tanya shook her head. “Laurent didn’t even stay with us for that long. Personally, I was never attached to him.”

“He spent enough time here to enarmor Irina.” Kate points out. “You and your pack were in the right. He was acting upon aggression.”

Pushing off the fridge, Tanya goes over to the table. “You have to understand something about the three of us though. The Volturi killed the woman who created us because she broke a tenant law. We all watched her head be wrenched from her shoulders. When they find out about Bella and Edward, they will come. The punishment will be most severe when they discover the wolves.”

“I’ve been told it’s not wise to get on the Volturi’s bad side.” You nod and put your first forkful of pancake into your mouth. Your tastebuds celebrate. “From what I understand though, is that the wolves the Volturi hunted centuries ago are different from us. At least that’s what the Cullens and Sam have decided.”

“They will not care of your origins. Only that you are natural born vampire killers. You existence still poses a threat to them.” Tanya grimaces. “And Irina. . . Well, we’re concerned what Irina might do behind our backs. We only hold so much influence over her. We fear that out of spite she may alert the Volturi herself about you.”

Kate says in acknowledgment “She’s always been the most stubborn in her convictions. We really do want to support you and the Cullens. They’ve helped us numerous times. It would be nice to return the favor.”

“Kate and I talked it over last night. We’ll do our best to change Irina’s mind but if she does end up going to the Volturi. . .” Tanya flinches at her own words, not wanting to speak them aloud. She didn’t want to entertain the idea of punishing her sister.

“We’ll figure it out if it comes to that.” Kate places her hand over Tanya’s and gives it a squeeze. They were as much of a family as the Cullens, you realize. Her placating hand was indeed enough to comfort Tanya for she smiles gratefully and nods. “And when the time comes to fend off the Volturi, we will be by your side.”

There was an overwhelming wave of relief that had you wanting to cry and laugh at the same time. No words could be found to express the depths of your gratitude. A few more allies added to your roster.

After breakfast there was still no sign of Irina but Eleazar informs you and Edward that Carmen was out in the woods with her to have a heart to heart discussion.

You and Edward would be returning to Forks the same day. Your adrenaline may have diminished after your talk with Kate and Tanya but you still missed home and longed to return to your furs. Even going a day and a half without transforming made your human skin itch. You’d have to ask Sam if that was normal and if he experienced anything similar.

To pass the time, Edward and Eleazar show you to outside their house and the natural beauty of Alaska. When the house was being built, they made sure to have it so hardly any trees would be knocked down. They wanted the house to be as immersed in the natural backdrop as possible.

Summer heat warms your skin, crisp air almost singe your lungs. You ran your fingers over the coarse bark of towering trees and close your eyes to listen to the regional birds sing. Even better was Edward next to you right in the sunlight. The skin of both he and Eleazar were illuminated by the sun’s light. Certain angles gave them the affect of glittering even.

Eleazar caught you staring, he smiles and explains the unique qualities of vampire skin. Their diamond-like skin reflected sunlight prismatically. There was still so much you were learning about vampires.

Another hour was spent just enjoying the outdoors. You climbed trees to get a better view, amazed by how fast Edward and Eleazar could scale them. Getting to the top was quite the experience. The sky above was the most gorgeous shade of blue with whisp of clouds dotted here and there.

Carmen was waiting for the three of you in the backyard. She smiles at the exhilaration that had been on your face prior to spotting her. “Did you guys have fun?”

Edward, at the mention of how they spent the afternoon, smiles. “Yeah. Really fun. Irina?”

She sighs and leans against the outdoor furniture. “I’ve settled her down but she needs more time. Right now she’s just grieving what they could have been had Laurent not been killed. There’s not many opportunities for finding a mate living here. Even before we joined them, they hadn’t encountered many male vampires that weren’t complete jerks.”

You guess since not many vampires congregate together that not all would be lucky like Carmen and Eleazar.

“We’ll keep a close eye on her though.” She says with a hopeful smile.

“Thank you, Carmen.” You and Edward accidentally say at the same time. Her laugh is so soothing that you don’t even feel embarrassed.

She actually embraces you tightly. “Both of you should get going, but I’m so happy that you were able to come (y/n).”

“Me too.”

Not that i mind but i wonder if some changes to the shown dynamic were purposeful? The ending especially showed a lot of Gojo's regard for Geto, it was very cute (although I did think that Geto's depressive state in it would influence anime-onlys to see him as this typical brooding teenager who is annoyed by Gojo... and also im still certain that Geto showing middle finger in the group photo wasn't really in character for him). The lyrics of the opening and ending also add a lot of context for sure!

Then in the last episode they did a great job of adapting Gojo's emotional reaction, going even further with the excellent voice acting, erratic movements and bleeding from clenching his fist too hard... And of course the ambiguous redness under his visible eye after the dream, i'm sure we aren't going to get any confirmation whether it's from tiredness or tears (or allergies, or artstyle) but the implication alone is enough.

But!! At the same time in that final episode they chose to downplay the scenes where Geto mentioned Gojo before defection. And they didn't erase those moments but instead chose not to show his face fully.

It's like... His last hidden warmth towards Gojo, only shown to the manga readers. I'm not sure what the animation team's intent might have been with this, but I have to say - to me the manga had felt more ambiguous in regards to their relationship, their emotional states and feelings remained mostly subtextual (and i don't only mean the romantic overtones but just specifically Gojo's attitude towards Geto in the backstory). Meanwhile the anime chooses to focus a little more on Gojo's appreciation for Geto, clarifying a lot of things on his end but leaving Geto's side of things a biiiit less apparent? Which might in the end be for the best in order to make the sealing moment unambiguous. As it is, it was easy to interpret Gojo's fatal hesitation as an understandable shock at seeing a person from his past that he had killed. One could imagine him reacting the same way to Toji, for example. This way, however, Gojo's feelings will be clear. Also, I do remember how before s2 a lot of people claimed that Gojo didn't care whatsoever, citing that as the reason he had missed all the signs and why he 'had no problem' killing Geto in jjk0 (as if he hadn't avoided it to the last possible moment). So I believe it's very important for the audience to see that Gojo absolutely did care, and their sincere friendship just wasn't enough to overpower the messed up world they were living in, at least not without Gojo understanding that the system required change (which he didn't fully get until after Geto snapped, and even then... haha...). This in my view makes for a more complex narrative than just Gojo being a narcissistic person without personal attachments? It wasn't a one-sided narrative, both of them really were friends and liked each other outside of just going on missions together, it just wasn't enough. Anyway yeah, it feels like the anime showed a bit less of Geto's POV when it came specifically to Gojo, but we got more of Gojo's emotions in return, so yay!

♡ Escape is very unlikely but let's say you do manage to make it out of the castle walls, there is absolutely no way you'd be able to make it out of the capital, let alone the kingdom. One of the first things she did when she decided you were her favorite maid she forced you to sit for a portrait so everyone in the kingdom could know your face, not that she told you that was the purpose, all she had said at the time was royals often had portraits of their favorite servants since they made such a big impact on their lives. Everyone knows your face and they all know they need to return you or they'll die. ♡

♡ The most likely possibility is that you believe you have escaped but are still in the forest within the palace because it stretches miles. She'll follow behind you at a leisurely pace for hours waiting for you to tire yourself out before she pounces and scoop you up back to the palace. Don;t worry she's going to take care of you but it's also great blackmail, you wouldn't want everyone to know that not only did you run away but you also made her nurse you afterwards right? Well then just give yourself over to her and she'll quell the rumors. ♡

♡ You screwed up big time, like this is a major fuck up, she's terrifying. She's extremely fit after years of chasing dragons as they were flying just to spear them while running. Chasing down her darling is no issue in the slightest, she'll have you back within an hour of you leaving her side. She's devastated that you tried to run but she's very delusional and she can find any reason to justify why you did it.

♡ If you're not dating then she'll allow you to roam a bit before she comes to fetch you, trying to not seem invested but still wanting to frighten you a bit. She believes you did this because she hasn't shown her devotion yet but she still isn't ready to fully show it so she hopes her tracking you will at least show you a small fraction of how she feels for you. If you're currently together then she'll come find you the moment you vanish from her side and might kill everyone in the immediate area. She thinks you only did it because you were scared of the future which is so cute, she could never stay mad at you! ♡

♡ Perhaps you ran away after you realized this was no longer fake relationship, that she was no longer pretending you were her darling or perhaps her families overbearing interrogation of your relationship was finally getting to you, either way it doesn't matter, the outcome in the same. You can't leave her, she's already put a curse on you that makes it so you trip if you get a certain distance from her so you can't escape. It's the first time she sees this particular curse in effect but it is one she's used often on intruders who got caught before she could see if it worked. ♡

♡ On the bright side you doing this convinced her family she really did care about you because her placing that curse in advance meant you two weren't just in a fake relationship. She's decreasing the amount you can walk away from her too because although she's finally convinced them to let her being heir, she doesn't want you to think you're allowed to wander just because the purpose of your relationship has been achieved, she won't say anything about it, she'll just laugh every time you fall on your face walking away from her and eventually you'll realize you're unable to get far from her. ♡

♡ Although she knows she is not worthy of you, that does not mean anyone else can have you and she will do anything to keep you by her side. She spoils all your best made escape plans, ruining all your connections at court keeping you in her chambers every night clinging to you and hoping you'll realize that you are a goddess and thus only your most devoted follower should be getting your time of day if you must give someone your time. Eventually you stop trying to plan your run away and just flee in the night since being smart was not going to work for you. This doesn't work either however. ♡

♡ Once she has you back in her chambers the worshipping is being kicked up 100 percent. She's doing everything for you so you will learn your place is above all those insects and you should not spare them a thought, your only task is to stay and allow her to love you as she is the closest to being worthy of basking in your radiance, so why don't you just marry her to make sure everyone knows she is the most devoted to you. ♡

♡ Much like Elisha, Abigail is a tracker however she has the added benefit of command a squad of knights who can assist in catching you. She would like to track you herself as that's what knights do in stories with their ladies who have fled but she can't exactly leave her post to do it when she has the knights who can do it just as well so she has no excuse for leaving her position. She won't explain to her knights why they're fetching you either. ♡

♡ If there's no prior public relationship the knights will assume they're fetching a traitor or a runaway prisoner so your treatment will be a bit harsh until she comes to "interrogate" you. She's fine with this as long as they don't rough handle you, she just wants you to feel a bit humiliated and realize that if you were her duchess you would never face this treatment. If there is a prior public relationship then they'll bring you straight to her and she'll send you to her families manor so they can properly train you. ♡

♡ Lmao no way you actually thought you could escape from her? The only escape is death and I doubt she would allow you to die, she'd just find something to revive you. She is rarely away for longer than a couple hours and she can sense when you've wandered too far from her cave. Beyond that to escape her you have to be faster than Elisha because even Elisha can't kill her. If The Dragon Slayer is slower than her then what chance does someone who isn't the chosen one stand? ♡

♡ For her this is a lovely game that she is playing with her mate. She knows you don't see it this way but dragons love to chase their mates, it's a bonding experience so she's thrilled. Please run again and again and again, she thinks you're just playing hard to get, you must know dragons love running after their mates, right? ♡

♡ Ainsley is very delusional but she also breaks from her delusions very easily so this was a very big mistake, baby girl. She finds you very quickly due to her high court position and when she does have you back in her arms you need to soothe her back into her delusions or she will begin to kill everyone you ever loved. She doesn't care how much she has to kill, she'll kill the whole kingdom so you have nowhere to run. ♡

♡ She's easy to soothe but there is an off chance that she also gives you a very pretty padded chain that allows you to walk around her entire tower but nowhere else, but she wouldn't want to resort to that because she wants to take you to court with her. ♡

Lost Rewatch S3 - Random Thoughts

As I've stated before, in stops and starts season 3 was quite cringe-y. Of course, we're still navigating high-quality storytelling waters but you know there's something a little wrong when writers admit to being in shortage of creative ideas by episode NINE (the much-talked about "Stanger in a Strange Land"). As a result this post might sound a bit S3-negative although, as I've just said, I'd never question the writers' command of the narrative. It's just that some stuff didn't really work out for me this time, that's all. I'll sprinkle-sprinkle some positivity too 'cause this season gave us all some mind-blowingly intense and beautiful moments, too. We can never forget those.

Starting off strong with our lovingly island-made love triangle: Jack/Kate/Sawyer that's not so slowly becoming a love square. Not a fan of how Kate and Sawyer got together, I'll be honest. Yes, the trauma of being kidnapped, forced to haul rocks and live in cages makes a human do crazier things, still... They put on a pretty dress on Kate and all of a sudden everybody goes "woa" (very 90's "chick flicks", didn't they have EYES before?), Sawyer is smashing rocks under the sun, sweating his own weight off but can't seem to resist the urge to look at her ass and kiss her, Kate herself is working her ass off (sorry for the pun, couldn't resist haha) and, well, the shots very much highligthed that by focusing on her ass... Guys, it was cringe to watch. And yes, the kiss was a distraction and blah, blah, blah. Again: cringe. All of a sudden Kate's madly in love with Sawyer which, you know, I'd have dug if they'd continued to show how their flirty relationship evolved instead of going from their sarcastic banters to extreme "I love yous" desperately screamed at gun point. Same goes for Jack by the way: for most of S2 Jack and Kate are on looser terms compared to the closeness of S1. after their kiss Kate's way closer to Sawyer because she chose him. Jack and Kate are not together and don't speak very much for, possibly, the whole duration of s3 and all of a sudden Jack's all "I love you". I don't see the crescendo of this love, therefore I don't fully buy it. Not gonna lie, the scenes were beautiful and very well-acted but these guys have spent weeks without talking to each other lol. They did the same exact thing in S2 as I've said before and I didn't particularly enjoy it in S2 so it's not like I wasn't gonna see it repeating itself in S3.

The majority of the flashbacks shown in this season are... how can I put it? Not au pair with the usual Lost-esque quality. Particularly not excellent, let's say, were the already mentioned "Stranger in a Strange Land", "Enter 77" and "I Do". Also, please but Desmond's and Kate's wigs in their flahsbacks are plain awful. Please stop.

Conversely, "Left Behind" was a fucking good flashback story. Kate-centric episodes are either meh or extremely good for me. I think she's one of those characters that when you find the right vein to write her, you write an incredbily layered, unbelievably complex character. When you don't, her character feels quite flat and it's a pity.

I might be in love with Juliet?! When I watched S3 for the first time in 2007 I deeply disliked her. Maybe I was too young to appreciate her character, she's not a clear-cut archetype like the other main characters are: more lived life helped me understand her better and now I'm deeply in love with her. I love how you can never predict what her little cute smirk means, she's a bit of a mystery but, unlike Kate, she's as such not because she has something to hide from her past (at least until now lol): she's enigmatic because that's who she is, she's very "torn-in-two" character. Love it.

I'm not liking all these dead women on my screen. Locke couldn't kill his father, couldn't kill Jack but he could sure as hell plant a knife in Naomi's back. The two persons guarding the submarine hatch had to be women and they had to die, didn't they? Of course, the mothers are dying on the island, of course the mob in "The Cost of Living" had to shoot just a woman, of course Bea Klugh had to be killed by Mikhail, of course "Tricia Tanaka is Dead". I was quite growing fond of Tom and was saddened by his death but I ultimately think that if they kept sparing white guys while killing off women and black people in general in the blink of an eye they'd have a real problem. Well, as a matter of fact they still do. They should've done better.

John's "shamanic journey" in "Further Instructions" is very offensive. Shamanic practices are serious things that must be done seriously. But hey, here's our "connected-with-the-island-lazarus-rising" white old man, let's have him enter a sweat lodge, prepare a slop of something so that he can have a vision and resolve this knot in the plot. No, thank you.

I don't agree with people bashing on "Exposé": I think it's a good episode. In fact, I appreciated the Other Losties' POV (Arzt you won't be forgotten!). The real problem is that it's just that: other, plot-unrelated people's pov, nothing really new was added and the characters were eventually killed off so what's the point lol? What I want to say is that it's a good filler episode and I enjoyed it but at this point in the series, filler ep for filler ep, I'd have preferred one that was "-centric" to one or more of the main characters. But hey, I get what I can and, all in all, good ep.

Now, I know that one of the main themes of this season is the impossibility of going back: it was very artfully written to lead us to the season finale's big reveal. Fine, good, intellectually I love it. Instinctually when in a story I see characters going from point A to B and then going back to point A in the span of the same episode or the following I... well, I don't take it well lol. It's a pet peeve of mine, really, but COME ON. It's a way to milk a narrative thread for all its worth. It's a way to buy narrative time without resorting to fillers. But sometimes you just need to let it go and come up with a better idea presto. I'm talking about Kate going back to find Jack as soon as she arrives at the beach. How in hell did Kate know that Jack was on the main island and not still on Hydra? And how did John connect the dots between the writing on Eko's stick and Jack's whereabouts? And why did the Others just leave their barracks, in which they had lived for years, instead of just killing Kate, Sayid and John? Come on. These guys have killed for way less.

The best fucking line of the whole season is Charlie's: "It's the five best moments of my… sorry excuse for a life. My greatest hits. You know, memories. They're all I've got." Chills, literal chills.

"Flash Before Your Eyes" is a totally cringe episode. Everything feels exactly what it is: a set, a prop, a wig on the actor's head, lol. Twenty years ago I was still a naive girl fangirling over Desmond and Penny's relationship but now I know better. Des was a lot of a dick toward Penny, let's be real. He was obsessed with this "honor", with feeling "worthy" and totally took it out on her. She was right, he was indeed a coward. I wish they had given a different backstory to Des. Maybe it's because it's so similar to (re it's the same as) Jin and Sun's story but it didn't land for me this time. I don't see the same "epicness" in their love story that I'd first seen back in the 00'.

Eko's "Redemption-Not-Redemption" arc is the best thing of this season. I have no words to describe it so I'll just leave his final speech here. INCREDIBLE.

I ask for no forgiveness, Father. For I have not sinned. I have only done what I needed to do to survive. A small boy once asked me if I was a bad man. If I could answer him now, I would tell him that... when I was a young boy, I killed a man to save my brother's life. I am not sorry for this. I am proud of this. I did not ask for the life that I was given. But it was given, nonetheless. And with it... I did my best.

I myself don’t mind the carbon copy, I think he’s cute and somewhat charming, but what I don’t love is seeing the sudden bandwagon jump as always.

I have always side eyed fair weathered fans. Jumping to whoever is “hot” at the moment and then piling on someone else when they are “down.” I have no issues with carbon copy having his own fans - I just resent a comparison being used to put one down over the other. There’s no need for that. Especially when some are doing it on purpose to get a rise out of others.

I also have a feeling some people will be crawling back in the near future. I’ve always thought Ramen wasn’t meant to go the commercial route of big blockbuster movies and beefcake persona. I think his innate nature (at least publicly) has shown he tends to thrive when he follows his guns and picks a risky or unique project with a director that has a specific vision. I think this is where he will continue to find inspiration and return on investment.

If money isn’t an issue for him anymore, I think these smaller but more original/different projects may carve him a future in character acting that I think he still has a chance to succeed in.

He doesn’t need to be a top shelf A lister or even awards darling to do it. He is talented and he will find an audience somehow, I am sure of this.

Remember - art is subjective. And what makes a good movie isn’t necessarily how many awards it gets or how big the box office numbers are. If you are someone’s favorite actor in a movie they watch religiously and they can quote every line, or you are an actor whose opened a person up to a new genre or franchise simply because they enjoyed you on screen - then in my books, you’ve succeeded. I think Ramen has done that for many people in this world and I don’t think he needs to prove anything to anyone. I myself have seen multiple men wearing cap America tshirts this month alone (it’s 2024!) - white, Asian, Black, Latinx, older, middle aged, teenaged, child. Both Ramen and his friend Buldak (three guesses who I’m referring to 😉 AM) have created a legacy that won’t be going away anytime soon. Ten years ago, I used to mainly see batman and superman t shirts. I don't think all these new fans are just people who like comic books.

I actually think Chris’ career was heading out of the internet boyfriend for a while, and now here we are. I’ve tried to remain out of this discourse because I never want to yuck on someone else’s yum, but of course people want to push him and his projects on me, or want to talk about him, and eventually I do, and they don’t like it. When I’ve stated multiple times that the man does absolutely nothing for me in looks and I don’t enjoy his movies, and that’s being generous given his list of projects. Everyone has their time to come up, but his has been quick, since working on Top Gun. Almost like he has someone who wanted to invest in his career. Good for him. Now go away and create a new identity 😂

As you talk about the fair weathered fans, it just proves it was more about the looks and persona than about the talent. Which is fine, but we don’t have to kick him when he’s down to lift another up. I have been a fan of his since 2001. I became a fan for his looks, yes, and stayed because I enjoyed him. I enjoyed his body of work, meaning projects. I enjoyed his public persona, etc. You don’t stay a fan for over 20 years on looks alone. Although his looks to me are a bonus.

Chris’ career is fine, despite what some people believe. It is not of the height as it was when he was in Marvel, but neither is RDJ’s, Scarlett’s, or anyone’s. Marvel is a wheelhouse, and is in a league all of its own, so it’s silly to compare the two. However, Chris has had movies since Not Another Teen movie where he was the lead, and had a character name. It was a slow, but steady climb to his peak in 2018/2019. But he has officially announced three projects for this year alone. People don’t even know what he could be planning for 2025. He is an attractive white man that has a reputation for an excellent work ethic. He’ll be okay.

And you’re right. I would wager most actors aren’t A-List anymore. I seriously get tired of this conversation because it goes around in circles. But this age of celebrities are not the ones from the past. And that’s okay. Things change. As long as he is happy with his career and the way it’s going, and he’s being fulfilled it shouldn’t matter if he’s in huge box office successes.

Buldak! I love this!! I think the spicy ramen suits Mackie 😉 And you’re right. Superman was the superhero of the past. Now, it’s Captain America. Nobody can ever take Steve Rogers from Chris, or the fact that he was the face of Marvel for years. But I don’t even consider Steve to be one of my favorite characters. However, he was perfect for it, and nobody could have done it better.

The Sign - Ep 3

So much happened in this episode! (Although I might have missed something because half of the ep I was suffering from a serious case of second-hand embarrassment, because they were filming the series among ordinary people in tourist places and these people were staring and I was dying of embarrassment 💀).

I have to admit, jealous, stressed Phaya was great. I like a good portrayal of possessiveness and Phaya is good at it because he's not violent in his jealousy, just more worried ✨

It was good to see Phaya in a different environment, it turns out he lives in a palace and is an artist, like a prince. So this making out in red paint in a studio scene, it still COULD be Phaya/Tharn 👀

I really liked the fact that the series didn't drag on any threads. Ooooh mysterious amulet? Abbot: this amulet was given to you by Tharn 😀 end of story. My beloved Tharn, pretending not to want to be with Phaya, at the same time perfectly attuned to his mood and behavior. Always thinking about him and worrying about him 🥺 Tharn is visibly stressed, he wants to give in to Phaya, everyone around him is encouraging him to do so, but he is so afraid. I really liked their sparring scene: Tharn - stressed, tense, lashing out. Nervous and then sexual tension in this scene, Phaya relaxed when he finally sees Tharn and that he is fine, he doesn't push because he notices that Tharn is not himself, that he reacts differently. Phaya allows him to take it out on himself, also he knows that this is the best way to convince Tharn - by giving him a choice, an opportunity to fight, not making arguments and forcing him. Phaya won, he gained, not forced contact with Tharn. And it works, because Tharn is distracted from his worries, and he turns from a stressed little cat, into a predatory cat on the hunt (you can literally see the moment of his transformation and when the stress comes off him, replaced by something else 🔥). I love Phaya in this scene, how he controls himself and the situation. He could have led it in any direction, but he stopped because he had achieved his goal. Phaya is so cool, I love how pushy he is at the right moments and how he withdraws at others.

I liked showing their relationships with family and friends, I loved Tharn and Sand. "Aways finding excuses when I ask you about girls" omg girl lol. It's also cool that Tharn and Phaya are so cute together, but it gets me every time when they are like two bro dudes together lmao this is such a whiplash 😂

Team leader, please lead me 😍 Happy to see his pretty face, he's so strict and professional. I would love to see him in a relationship with someone.

Tharn…gosh, but he's SO BEAUTIFUL. I can't stop looking at him. This episode especially spoiled me, so many scenes, so many versions of Tharn, each more beautiful than the previous one, at the pool (I appreciate that he didn't have long shorts and that his speedos were red), with a wig, even slightly unkempt with his hair not perfectly done in the temple scenes, Tharn always looks like a million dollars ✨ (but I have to ask, isn't Babe standing on a box, or at least on his tiptoes, in some scenes? because that's so cute)

The Kiss - how is it, that it wasn't a full make-out session, but it was still one of the sweetest, most natural kisses I've ever seen? 💖 The chemistry between Billy and Babe and the fact that they clearly have no problems with physical closeness and intimacy, hm?

I like that Wansarat is shown as male, at least that's how I understood it. Wild theory time! Wansarat secretly met with Sakuna, even though he shouldn't (these are hostile deities?), Sakuna was punished, he could have died and Wansarat saved him by doing something wrong, maybe killing someone, for which he pays in subsequent incarnations. Wansarat may also have been promised to another serpent deity (Chalothon) who truly loved/wanted him and now this deity wants Wansarat back in the form of Tharn. End of wild theory time.

Phaya has completely abandoned all pretenses and openly says that he likes Tharn and kisses him in his own house. He's such a freak, I love him 😍
