They could have solved this sooner if any of them bothered to look at a calendar
Hear me out
Ninjago doesn't have the best track record with dates (Wu's lifetime...) and I don't expect DR to be any better at it. But rewatching the season I realized the fact that when Lloyd narrates, he mentions being "alone for weeks" and, in the carnival, recalls not being around many people in a while, nailing down how he was secluded to the monastery during those weeks he woke up alone. This is fine, typical Lloyd behavior, just that when Nya encounters Cole, he says years. Lloyd has no reason to lie, he doesn't have to make it seem like he was less time around so if he is not lying, and he truly was weeks alone, while Cole spends years lost after the merge? What happened?
And Nya and Kai! Kai woke up early enough, and in the bounty! to be able to map and travel a big part of the new land and try to find his way back, we don't know his side, but considering he pretty much arrived and then left again, had he entered the monastery before? I do believe he was longer out, awake and traveling. Nya also mentions having traveled before encountering the cranglings-- and she was on foot, she's resilient and strong, but for how long can you travel unknown terrain without a vehicle and survive it.
The idea of time getting messed up is plausible, other than reality coming undone and messing up every physics law-Cole is hanging out with what seems to be a kid formling, whose realm is confirmed to move differently time-wise, how could two different time progressions reacted to each other? How did that affect dates? Growing rates? So interesting.
I want to know if dr is planning on going somewhere with this, if not, then it'll be one more concept I'll rotate in my brain like a skewer, its such an interesting concept to me
Its also free trauma for the ninja! Win-Win

Ooo okay after that I gotta say I am super interested where Nya goes in this AU. Is she mostly just resentful of Kai (he's her brother AND wants to stay out of this Super Cool Destiny that she wishes she was apart of) or does it affect her friendship with the other ninja (I'm assuming outside of Lloyd) too?
Also was NOT expecting Zane to wait Multiple Seasons to drop the "guess what Im a robot" lore. What makes him hold off, and what would make him finally spill the beans?
She's resentful of the boys and shes mad she's resentful lol. it's a lot of feeling excluded, forgotten, and consistently underestimated. Kai still sees her as his little sister in need of constant protection. he doesn't want her to fight. it was his job to make sure she would never be put in danger. he coddles her despite the fact she doesn't need or want it. He thinks there are things she just can't do. Jay sees her as more of an independent woman, but he takes Kai's cues on this. he doesn't want her fighting either. Cole knows nya is smart and capable but shes not part of the prophecy, so why needlessly endanger herself? this is their job. they're the ones who have to handle the pressure and the pain that comes with it. he doesn't think she can't, he just thinks she shouldn't have to. Zane feels similar to cole but he won't stop nya or stand in her way when she wants to do something. She says she's going to do *insert crazy dangerous thing here *? Zanes like "Okay here are the odds of success and exactly what you'll need to be able to pull this off" cuz he's wise enough to know he won't be stopping her lol. this makes kai and jay very upset with him. Pixal encourages her in every aspect of it all. go crazay. i'll help you build your own mech suit girl. iron man style. lloyd takes his cues from kai and wu, so if nya asks to help him with something he tends to err on the side of "No, i can handle this." (which also comes from feeling like he needs to prove himself as the green ninja)
Zane holds off on telling them he's an android because... well, he's weird. he's offputting. he's strange. he is always 'other.' and because of that, despite being homeless for years, he has never found a place to call home. he doesn't fit in. he is never accepted into the group. when the others finally start to include him... he's not going to do anything to jeopardize that. he's protecting himself. he doesn't see a way where this revelation won't change their attitude towards him.
he would have never told them if not for an injury that made it impossible for him to keep it a secret any longer

hi. if you’re reading this that means it’s my 21st birthday. I had this idea and had to write it down immediately (it’s may 29th. see y’all in just under 6 months) so. yeah. enjoy. happy 21st birthday to me!
The GX Cast In: What they would order for their first legal drink at a bar
DISCLAIMER: blair is excluded from this one cause I can’t fathom her being an adult rn. all characters are considered to be of legal drinking age for the purposes of this post. I do not condone underage drinking. drink responsibly and always call for help if you or a friend are displaying symptoms of alcohol poisoning.
Jaden Yuki: I have determined that Jaden doesn’t like whiskey, but if it’s mixed in something he might be okay with it. a rum and coke would be his go-to. on the rocks, he can’t drink warm liquor.
Chazz Princeton: straight vodka. i have a working theory that the more trauma someone has the better they take shots. (this is not a healthy theory, to be sure, but Chazz certainly qualifies as an observable subject.) he will spit out any food that contains the tiniest amount of carrot but pounds vodka like a champ. he’s definitely tried to do the whole lime and salt thing but found he prefers the burn. I just want him to be okay :(
Dr. Crowler: wayyyyyy back in the day, a very hot, very gay bartender gave him a shot of raspberry schnapps on the house because he “looks like a raspberry schnapps kinda guy”. keeps a bottle of it in his office for feeling nostalgic. atticus has gotten into it more than once, with zero evidence left behind.
Syrus Truesdale: the fruitiest goddamn cocktail you’ve ever seen. there’s a bendy straw and a paper umbrella. probably served out of a pineapple. he does not want to so much as SENSE the alcohol
Alexis Rhodes: whiskey sour. asks for the lemon on the side and squeezes the juice directly into her mouth.
Atticus Rhodes: margaritas, plural. unironically sings “gimme one margarita ima open my legs” the entire time and has to be physically restrained in order to stop him.
Zane Truesdale: he can’t drink, he has a heart condition. however: him and atticus buy cheap wine from the liquor store on oct 31 and sit somewhere outside as the clock ticks over to midnight, making the switch from atticus’s birthday to zane’s. they toast. life is good. zane has palpatations immediately and never drinks again.
Aster Phoenix: wine aunt energy. exclusively drinks wine, but alternates between white and red. his palate changes depending on what he ate. for his twenty first birthday, he probably had steak (s2 fishing incident had me rolling on the ground laughing), which pairs well with cabernet (I think that’s a red) so he’d get red wine.
Yubel: technically has always been legal drinking age? regardless, the strongest whiskey you can find. Jaden dislikes whiskey, though, so has only ever gotten him to take one shot of it. collects the little shooter bottles. it’s really cute to see them all lined up.
Jesse Anderson: fruity cocktail for a fruity bitch. he’d order a sex on the beach, but it would go something like, “I’d like a, ah… ha, alrighty then. A s-sex on the… you know what I mean!”, followed up by Chazz saying, “oh my god he’d like a sex on the beach. jesus.”
Jim Crocodile Cook: not much of a drinker, but he’d also love the fruity cocktails. he would order a strawberry daiquiri. frozen. he’d also do a shot for the hell of it, probably of cheap vodka, and spend the rest of the evening wondering how everyone else is handling that stuff so well.
Axel Brodie: straight fucking gin. no additives, no garnish, no nothing. just axel and a shot glass. somehow never shows signs of being tipsy.
Adrian Gecko: beer. he thinks it makes him look relatable. unironically a beer drinker. probably PBA.
Bastion Misawa: he orders a shot of “your finest whiskey, barkeep”. sniffs it first. takes a little sip. “oh, goodness. no thank you.”

would u ever rank ninjago ships? it'd be cool to see :3
Ranking Ninjago ships is so silly, actually.
Yes!
These are my personal rankings, so- please be considerate of that!
Dragon Rising spoilers! Kinda!
(Pr*shitters DNI, also if you don’t like Cole/Geo, you may leave or you can stick around and read my other ratings, I guess)
-
Ranking system:
S-tier
A+-tier
A-tier
B-tier
C-tier
D-tier
F-tier
-
Geode/Lostshipping (Cole/Geo): S-tier. Alright, so this may be an unpopular opinion, especially because it has the fandom weirdly divided- but I do really enjoy the ship. They’re so soft with one another, and they act very domestic. I mean- Cole and Geo show multiple times that they’re affectionate: holding hands, hugging, and just looking at each other with the most lovesick expressions I’ve ever seen a Lego character have.
Not to mention they literally basically have two adopted (three, counting Bonzel) children. They’re literally found family, and it it the most adorable thing ever. Cole literally does everything for Geo and their little family- protects them, cooks for them, and comforts them.
And… guys… Cole literally confesses that he needed Geo to realize his true potential. Their elemental powers formed a HEART. If that ain’t gay, I don’t know that is.
-
Wyldfyre/Roby: S-tier. People got so mad over this happening, and it’s genuinely hilarious. Wyldfyre, from my recollection, is a teenage girl- and yes, she may have been raised by dragons, she may be tom-boyish and hotheaded- but that does not exclude her from having teenage-girl feelings.
And not to mention their dynamic is adorable. A tech-obsessed boy and a girl who doesn’t really understand tech but admires his nerdiness anyway. I mean- come on- they literally roar at one another. They match each other’s energy, and I really enjoy it.
Also, they are just silly- Wyldfyre literally got over one of her fears for the sake of Roby. Two dumb kids in love, let them be.
-
Glaciershipping (Zane/Cole): S-tier. I personally also really like this one. Maybe it was the color dynamic with their gis or really just their little bits they had throughout the seasons (before Dragon Rising). Growing up, this was one of the big ships of the fandom, and I’m pretty sure it still is? Nonetheless, early seasons really peaked with these two.
Banter really makes up a lot of their dynamic. When the silly robot man and silly Earth ninja bicker it’s like watching a married couple. And really, they’re both just big dorks who share a single brain cell with one another (Zane always has it).
The Rocky Dangerbuff and Snake Jaguar bit really drove the point home, because they’re literally so stupid (/affectionate) it’s adorable.
-
Pixane (Pixal/Zane): S-tier. Oh my goodness, this ship is actually the most adorable thing. Zane and Pixal- for some reason- have such a special place in my heart. Perhaps it’s the way they sacrificed for each other- the way Zane willingly gave half his heart to her. Their banter- their love- the way Zane jumps into Pixal’s arms.
Their dynamic has always been so cute. Nerdy idiots who fall deeper in love the longer they’re together. In Dragon Rising, Zane is literally so desperate to have her back- it’s honestly so sad- but it’s so sweet that he cares so much about her (Ninjago, this is my plea to bring Pixal back).
Not to mention, they’re one of the only canon couples in Ninjago who get a good dynamic (other than Jay/Nya).
-
Jaya (Jay/Nya): A+-tier. Alright, to explain myself here. The only reason I knocked Jaya down from S-tier is solely because some bits in their dynamic kinda threw me off- and of course, there was that weird love triangle thing that they- for some reason- went through with (Ninjago, what was that).
Otherwise? They are an adorable couple. Jay and Nya work well together- Jay being a bit nerdy, and of course, at first, nervous- and Nya who has always been on the more confident end. They are Yin and Yang. As they grew, their understanding grew, and overtime, they started to go from that awkward couple phase to really being in love. And of course, like all good couples in Ninjago, apparently, they sacrificed for one another- risked their lives- and stressed when they were apart.
I genuinely miss that dynamic in Dragon Rising. Jay needs some sense knocked back into him (/lh).
-
Bruiseshipping (Cole/Jay): A+-tier. This one was another very popular one in the fandom as I grew up. And, again, dropped from S-tier solely because the few off-points the two had.
While the two are known for their bickering and their fights, it’s stated multiple times that they’re best friends (and friends to lovers trope sits amazingly with me). Cole and Jay would clearly do anything for each other- and probably play-bully their way through it. One defining feature of their canon interactions is how they always have different outlooks, or completely agree on a matter- and it’s always hilarious because they’re similar in the most different ways.
Otherwise, it’s a good ship. They could work.
-
Oppositeshipping (Kai/Zane): A+-tier. I believe they’re also called Peppermint (haha, red and white), but I personally think the opposites attract dynamic works well between these two. Hotheaded and levelheaded, brains and brawn, fire and ice.
I think I started liking this dynamic a bit more in the middle-seasons of the original Ninjago franchise, when they really started building the dynamics between the ninja. Kai and Zane have always had their banter, and their contradicting view points, but at the end of the day, they have each other’s back. And, of course, they do have their on-screen sweet moments.
(This also applies to the Ninjago movie, I love their dynamic there as well.)
-
Lavashipping (Kai/Cole): A-tier. Ah, I can’t remember if this one was ever very big in the fandom. I mean, I’ve seen fanart, but of course, it’s hard to tell with other popular ships.
I personally like this one- not as much as others- but their dynamic is cute, and they have their moments. Kai is always seen as protective, and Cole is a defender. So- when something happens to one or the other, they tend to panic. I can’t remember the season name, but the best example I can think of off the top of my head is when the Oni take over Ninjago and cover it in a dark fog- and Cole falls inside of it. And of course, there’s those scenes where the two hug.
They have a lovely dynamic. Fire/Earth, it tickles the brain.
-
Technoshipping (Jay/Zane): A-tier. If I’m not wrong, that should be their ship name (I actually had to Google and look at Reddit to find anything about it). Much like Lava, I think this ship is good.
For a long while, Jay was a big technology nerd- and oh? Who was his muse? Zane (/j). But, no, the two have their banter, and the silliness between tech-wiz and sentient robot is always hilarious in my mind. And of course, they do care a lot for each other. Not to mention the short where they literally perform a music act together- and Jay spins and dips Zane moments before that.
I put this in A-tier because, of course, there’s better ships in my mind- and the two have had their own disputes.
-
FrozenGear (Dr. Julien/FORMER Master of Ice): A-tier. I’ve seen fanart of this ship, and I ADORE it. It’s such a silly concept, and I love the idea that the Former Master of Ice fell in love with this scientist- and gave their robo-son his elemental abilities.
I don’t even know if that’s their ship name, I’m basing this off of a ship wiki.
But, all and all, it would explain the reason why Zane was gifted the element of Ice.
-
Dareth/Ronin: B-tier. I put this here solely because I’ve always viewed this ship in more of a crack ship kinda way. It’s silly, and of course, they banter.
Dareth and Ronin have their bits where them dating (even in an on/off) kinda way makes sense- I mean, hell, the two argue like a couple and they’re always goofing off.
Otherwise, I’d say the ship is a solid one, some people like it more than others.
-
Lloyd/Akita: B-tier. I was heavily debating where I’d even rank this ship, solely because I have no strong opinions on it. But, in the end I chose B-tier. While not being a ship I think about, it’s one of the only good ships I’ve ever seen with Lloyd- after they started getting along, anyway.
I suppose I can see why people ship it, but it was only a season thing- and we haven’t seen Akita again- so it’s very likely she was a one-off character to have, solely because Lloyd is tragic (/lh) and needs a new love interest every few seasons to build trust issues.
-
Zane/Frohicky: B-tier. Before anyone says anything, it’s solely because of their dynamic. I like this ship a bit, and I think that they’re a silly duo. Frohicky, after all, is a very caring individual, and is always trying to make sure Zane is okay/comfortable.
And there was that scene where the two sat together through Zane’s identity crisis after losing his look-alike competition.
They’re just cute.
-
Samuraishipping (Pixal/Nya): B-tier. It’s not a bad ship. They have a welcoming dynamic with one another, and a similar interest in technology.
In scenes where they work together, it’s often expressed that they work well, and build off of each other’s abilities, enhancing a singular creation further. Not a ship I obsess over, but a ship that lingers in my mind sometimes and makes sense.
-
Arin/Euphrasia: B-tier. Again, another ship I don’t think often about, but I think they could be a really good duo- bot teenagers figuring out their elemental abilities and learning what they can do.
I also like their playful attitudes and lighthearted humor- Arin being a little more clueless than Euphrasia, of course.
But, they would be cute.
-
Plasmashipping (Jay/Kai): C-tier. I know some of you might get mad at me for this ranking, but truthfully, I never liked this ship all that much. It was very popular in the fandom (up there with Glacier) but, I never found the full appeal.
Of course, they have their bits and banter, but I prefer their silly dynamics in a goofball friend way. But if you ship this, go right ahead- they do have their moments when they’re shippable.
Solid ship, just not for me.
-
Garmadon/Vinny: C-tier. This is another one I always kinda viewed as a crack ship- I really don’t know when or how it spurred into being something that I saw maybe… three pieces of fanart for? I personally thought it was silly.
There was that moment where Garm asked Vinny to help him become good- maybe that started it? I dunno, but I do think about that season sometimes and giggle a bit.
-
Zane/Nya: C-tier. I don’t know if they have an actual ship name, but oh well. I don’t love this ship, but I also don’t hate it. It’s an interesting appeal.
Personally, I think their dynamics are alright, they tend to chat and banter, but they’ve always felt more friendly towards one another to me. I do enjoy their moments together on screen, their little side-rambles. They’re both nerds.
-
Kailor (Kai/Skylor): C-tier. More of you may get mad at this, but I never liked this ship. Didn’t hate it, but still, didn’t like it. It felt forced, and it was incredibly awkward. It almost felt like they were trying to get all the characters a s/o, because at that time, Pixane was established- and I can’t remember if Jaya had started or was being hinted at.
It improved some- and then it just wasn’t touched again. Felt like a crush rather than them actually falling in love at any point- which was probably the idea there. I can see why the ship is popular, but it’s not my cup of tea.
-
WolfCat (Sorra/Jordana): C-tier. They’re one of those dynamics I feel could work. Especially if it’s enemies, to friends, then to lovers. I am ranking this C-tier, solely because their dynamic has only been explored to a certain extent- showing their problems with one another- and of course, Jordana trying to break away from being possessed.
If they’re explored more, I feel this ranking could rise higher on the list.
-
Lloyd/Morro: D-tier. No. Just… no. While it’s not the worst possible ship, I still think it’s one of the weirdest. And at this point, I don’t even know what to say about it- other than Morror is a spirit who possessed Lloyd. I think they’re represented to be around the same age, but still… it’s such an outlandish ship because… Morro has been dead for… years.
I know at some point the fandom liked it for god knows what reason. But, I’m really starting to think people like shipping Lloyd with antagonistic characters.
-
Conya (Cole/Nya): D-tier. Again, another big nope from me. I know some people ship it, there was that whole love triangle thing- but throughout that entire bit, Cole really just felt like he was competing with Jay. For shits and giggles.
And Cole and Nya’s dynamic always felt more like best friends to me- like, they care about each other, but not in a romantic way.
-
Conia (Cole/Vania): D-tier. I can’t see this one really at all, but it’s not F-tier material. Vania’s and Cole’s relationship felt platonic- Vania seemed innocently curious about the ninja.
They just seem like friends who have one another’s backs, and they call when the other needs a pick-me-up. Good friends.
-
Lloyd/Harumi: F-tier. Oh my god. There are so many reasons I personally DESPISE this ship. For starters, and the most obvious reason- she tried to kill him. Multiple times. Some of you might say she had a redemption arc, I DON’T CARE. She- first of all- was manipulative. Secondly, I know she had a rough past that she blamed on the ninja but… where was that their fault? Third of all, she played with his feelings repeatedly.
Oh, and- I don’t know if anyone even begins to remember this- but in Sons of Garmadon, Garmadon literally adopts her. Calls her his child and everything. I don’t know if people forgot that, or if it’s dismissed as nothing- but guys. GUYS. He adopts Harumi.
And I think it’s easy to say that she gave Lloyd trust issues- major trust issues. Dude literally has trouble trusting princesses over her.
I just want to take this ship and burn it in a fire.
-
Lloyd/Ras: F-tier. Listen, I’ve seen maybe two people ship this, and no offense to anyone that does- but SERIOUSLY. Ras is a whole ass manipulator, for one- secondly, he’s another antagonist- three… He has also tried to kill Lloyd.
Ras is an entity of mind games, and Lloyd is an insomniac trying to live up to his Uncle’s standards. That doesn’t mix.
-
Lloyd/Any of the other ninja: F-tier. Get the fuck out. One, even if he aged up, he’s still mentally younger then they are. Two, they’re all basically his older siblings. Three, it’s GROSS.
Lloyd has only ever acted like a younger sibling towards the other ninja. The other ninja protect him like a younger brother. I will throw hands.
When I get the motivation, I’ll probably do another rating list like that with other forms of Ninjago ships (like side characters and what-not).
If you all have any ships you wanna see me rate, you can send in an anonymous message, or you can comment! I’ll get around to it :)
And they can’t be fucking weird- thank you.

Some of the physical disability rep in me and @romeave-wives-club's rewrite because lets face it the lack of disability rep in MCD is unrealistic and even in MYS it was still "how do you know so many people and not one of them has a physical disability??"
[this isn't all of it, but it's some of it]
So, excluding the two entirely new OC characters because look they may be self inserts but Aph herself was one
Zane in both MCD and MYS has troubles with his balance, so, walking stick. In MCD he has this fancy and sleek one, while in MYS it's covered in stickers and paint and no that's not a pinkie cake sticker what do you mean. He's blind in one eye, in MCD it was from a relic incident and in MYS it's the infamous snowball incident. He finds it too much of a hassle to have it uncovered, that fucks with his perception of things more than it helps. He's also immunocompromised in MYS, which I thought was canon but now that I'm thinking about it it was never said in canon that he still gets sick a lot.
Laurance was partially blinded upon his return to the overworld, while Ungrth took the blunt of the void burns- he got a nasty one covering his entire left eye. It healed, slowly, but it left his vision severely blurry and hazed over with a dark-tinted film. He pulled a Zane, covering it with his hair or an eyepatch, for a while. But eventually that stops, and he adjusts to it the best he can.
Aaron was fully blinded when his village was wiped out, he was also very soon after turned into a werewolf. He can make out levels of light if the change is extreme enough, but that's about it- lets his hair cover his eyes, or a blindfold, just because the light tricking him into seeing movement was more of a hinderance in battle than a help. (Post S6 in MYS he's also blind, and either has a white cane or a service dog (or both) to help him around)
Post MYS S6, Travis is an ambulatory wheelchair user! He switches between his wheelchair and crutches, but if he's out and about he's probably in the wheelchair.
MYS!Aph has a walker, when she first got it she went over to Zane's house arms filled with stickers and "dragging" my OC along and the three of them had a hangout of just decorating their mobility aids
They're both background/more minor characters unfortunately, but both Nana's sister Shi and Blaze's sister Adira are deaf!
Some additions
Aaron has died 10 times over and will not stay in the ground, he has some form of chronic pain and will probably join the mobility aid crew at some point
Hayden uses a walking stick because yes
also there's a plethora of mental disabilities ranging from learning disabilities with Blaze's dyspraxia, all the meif'wa being autistic (this comes from the theory of cats not being able to be diagnosed with autism because they're all autistic, and you can pry this out of my cold dead autistic hands), dissociative disorders like MYS!Gene with chronic dissociative amnesia and Travis with DID
and more!

hi bee my buddy bee! can you kinassign ninjago characters to some wttt characters? like which character is like who. i havent watched ninjago since i was a little kid,, so i cant remember much but id love you to tell me about it :^]
the absolute delight I felt when I saw this ask was incredible. I had a long car drive this afternoon (well, as of the time of posting, yesterday) and thinking about this ask was the perfect way to spend it. of course, now it's time to write down all those thoughts. this is going to get LONG. (if you want to hear about ninjago, then, heh, you came to the right place.) I'll put it all under a cut. first, though, you are absolutely wonderful and thank you so much for this ask :]
gonna go in order of when I thought of them. which means, first up is my favorite ninja!
--
Nya - Rhode Island
the most obvious reason for this connection is the mutual hot headedness. they are both so quick to anger, and both tend to hold grudges for far longer than is normal.
but it's more than that. both of them feel an urge to compensate for what they perceive as a disadvantage. for Rhodey, of course, it's his height. (he is, as always, very self conscious about his height.) for Nya, it's her gender. I mean, she spent four seasons being excluded from the other ninja for her gender, and for plenty of the other seasons, she was still pushed to the sidelines. of course she has a little bit of internalized misogyny. (side note- I do think that's why she seems so determined to not enjoy traditionally "feminine" things. because she thinks it makes her weak. I'd actually love to write a fic where she goes on a girl's day out with Pixal and Skylor and learns to respect feminity and start dealing with her internalized misogyny. but anyway.)
last thing for this duo: Nya is, of course, the master of water, and Rhodey is the ocean state. it's just perfect
--
Kai - Ohio
the best description I've ever seen of Kai was something along the lines of "he's not hot headed so much as he is reckless and in a bit of a rush." Ohio is much the same. he's called the Florida of the midwest, but he can't quite reach the levels of chaos that Florida sets. he's just... reckless and in a bit of a rush.
beyond that, both of them are definitely comic relief sorts of characters. both are goofy and a little airheaded, and both are pretty intense in a very amusing way. still, both are very friendly and like to be around people (even if they tend to be somewhat overbearing, and tease people more than they might like)
and I would be remiss not to mention their mutual pyromania. that's half the reason I thought of them as a duo so quickly.
--
Cole - Loui
this one's pretty straightforward. they're both very relaxed and down to earth (cough cough master of earth cough). they're both loyal to a fault. although reasonable on their own, if they have the right partner, they can be quite chaotic. for Loui, that partner would be, of course, Florida. for Cole, it could really be any of the other ninja in the right circumstances- but the first to come to mind is Jay. (or maybe Kai. it depends.)
they also both love food. for Loui, this manifests more as making and sharing food. for Cole, it's more so... eating food. (he has tried, countless times, to cook for his friends, but it never goes well. Zane has all but banned him from the kitchen.)
--
Faith - New York
interestingly enough, this is the only pair on this list where I thought of the state first, then came up with a connecting ninjago character. now, Faith is a very minor character, so just so you know, she's a dragon hunter in season nine.
she and York both have massive anger issues, and tend to take them out physically (either by yelling / making general sounds of annoyance, or by kicking things around). they're both quite gruff, pretty no nonsense, don't take crap, etc. neither of them are very friendly, but they're competent, and useful to have around. good people at heart, but it takes a while to get to that heart.
--
Harumi - Nevada
this started as "they're both attractive and they know it." both absolutely have the potential to be villains. it's realized for Harumi, but for Nevada it's more of a theoretical "what if they got bitter at their unfair treatment and to 'fix' things they burned down the entire nation." they're both good actors, and good liars.
the biggest reason I kinassigned them, though, is because in the end, they'd both follow orders. for Harumi, this happens in season fifteen. she always seems to end up in a spot where her freedom is dependent upon doing what's told of her. as for Nevada, well. we've seen it in their joining the table video. they literally have to do what Gov says.
--
Jay - Cali
both of them will talk your ear off if given the chance. I feel like both tend to feel like outsiders, both are desperate to be liked and feel like part of the team, and both are kinda losers (/aff).
Jay is very quick to share what he's feeling, and his attitude is very much "if I think it, you hear it." Cali is this way too, in a sense, though usually it's more facts and correcting other people for Cali. but the main point is that they're both certified yappers.
--
Pixal - Iowa
I absolutely love both of these characters, and both of them are very underrated. they both tend to blur into the background, and they're far too easy to ignore. (which makes sense for Iowa, since there are fifth states and Ben can't exactly give all of them all of his attention, but Pixal? come on, ninjago writers, you can at least pretend to care about her existence.)
however, when they do show up, both of them are genuinely very nice, both are dedicated and detail-oriented, and if given the chance, both can be quite sassy. ("every part of me is annoyed!" is a Pixal line that lives in my head rent free. I love her.)
--
Wyldfyre - Massachusetts
when I started this list, I told myself, "no dragons rising characters," in a useless attempt to not be writing till the sun goes down. but come on. this is just too perfect. both of them are energetic and kinda rude and very impatient, both of them are loud and obnoxious at times (/aff), and both of them are far too eager to start a war.
the real thing though? both of them care so, so much about their family. for Mass, that's the northeast (especially Maine and New York come to mind- "no one gets to kill you but me" is an iconic protective Mass quote). for Wyldfyre, that's Kai and Heatwave. (side note- Kai and Wyldfyre are The duo ever, they're so cute together. if you don't know who they are, I want to be clear, it's like a father daughter dynamic ((Wyldfyre is WAY younger than Kai)), and it's hilarious.)
--
Skylor - Arizona
both are hot, though with Arizona it's temperature, and with Skylor it's, well, look at her. also don't tell me Ari wouldn't have hair just like Skylor's. he would love that long red ponytail look.
also, both are very dangerous. Arizona has his rough terrain and all the animals and cacti that want to kill you, and Skylor has super op powers (they had to change the conditions of her powers in the later seasons because otherwise there wouldn't be any drama- Skylor would just win the war all by herself). however, despite what they could do to either hurt or help people, I think if given the chance, both would be totally chill and, I dunno, run a noodle shop for the rest of their life. and y'know what? love that for them.
--
Zane - Alaska
ok, last one, finally. I at first saw the connection between these two that they are both very cold. they're both quite reasonable and intelligent, not to mention large and basically indestructible. (has anyone counted how many times Zane has died so far? seven, maybe? and he's still kicking!)
in a bit deeper sense, though, they're both outsiders. for Alaska, this is, of course, due to geography. for Zane, it's because he's a nindroid, and despite his best efforts, he doesn't quite understand what it's like to be human. they are different in that Alaska tries to avoid the others and Zane tries to understand and be a part of the others, but nonetheless.
--
alright! this is far, far from a comprehensive list. I didn't do all of the characters- hell, I didn't even do all of the main characters. but that is all of the strong connections I can make between characters, and besides, I think this post is long enough haha. this was so fun to answer, thank you so much for asking this, you are incredible <3 /p

The magical slab of meat i call brain decided to connect some dots and i wanted to share.
This is going to be a bit of a prediction/theory about the future of both Jay and Pixal in dragons rising.
Starting off with Pix:
We know, that she was not with the original team during the merge, whiles still remote controlling the bounty. My guess is, that she was off in her mech, helping smaller villages like jamanakai, while the main team was protecting ninjago city. Maybe, instead of waking up somewhere in the newly merged realms afterwards, like the rest of the ninja (excluding Zane and his weird cocoon), she was actually lost to the merge, shoved into one of the pockets of nothing-space, between dimensions. This is the only way i could explain, swhy she hasn't found the others yet, as she is a technological and overall genius. It is however likely, that she will return, instead of being retconned out of existence, as she was directly mentioned and missed by Zane and season 1 and dragons rising at it‘s heart still is a children's cartoon, designed to sell toys and they wouldn't make one of their most liked characters disappear.
This is, where Jay and the administration come in. Before the release of part 2, when all we knew about the administration came from leaks in magazines and on versions of the lego website, many theorised Pixal to be the leader/founder of the administration, due to it seeming quite secret agent-y. I have seen some people still follow this theory now, and i understand why, but i think in the bureaucratic mess, the administration actually is, she is more likely to stab a printer with a paper jam.
Before bringing all the points together, lastly there is Jay and his department. There have been a lot of theories regarding who will find him, ranging from Cole (absolute chaos, as he tries to make his friend remember who he is) to Nya (ANGST). Then there is his department, the department of realm reassignment, which from a storytelling perspective seems a lot like a Chekhov's gun. It's main function in season 1, was to give some exposition about the mechanics of the merge to Arin, as well as giving him hope, go find his parents again. Then there is also the part with the Jay receal, but to our current knowledge, that could have been done with any other department as well.
So here's my theory/prediction, taking all this into account:
During the merge, Pixal was lost to the void between dimensions and disappeared. At some point after Arin's visit, a team of teleportimg agents once more comes upon a pocket of nothing soace, containing a person, that person being Pixal. However, her nindroid form keeps her from entering the kind of stasis we saw other people being reassigned to other realms in and she escapes. This is where the Chekhov‘s gun comes into play. As the department of reassignment is where she is likely brought after being found, that is also where she escapes from. On this escape, she bumps into Jay, maybe on accident, maybe she sees him and tries to get his help to escape. However, she soon realizes his memory loss. After multiple failed attempts to restore his memory and getting him to help her escape, she does that thing Nindroids can do, where they project holograms from their eyes, and uses it to show Jay a compilation of his best moments, as well as his past with Nya, including possibly his true potential, the rooftop scene from skybound in the version, that ended up happening, the scene from seabound, where he nearly sacrifices himself, charging the bounty and finally his farewell to Nya at the end of that season, as well as her memorial. This could both hell restore his memories, as well as giving new viewers pf the series a recap of important events featuring him and Nya, so those can be referenced in more detail. After this, Pixal and Jay try to escape the administration, maybe with a new and upgraded samurai X mech, releasing as a set in that year and eventually reunite with the rest of the team.
So anyway, that is my theory of how these two loose ends might be resolved, looking at both past seasons and a general storytelling and marketing standpoint. This is of course just a theory and likely way off, from what is actually going to happen, but i thought i might share. As a closing word, i would like to show the process behind this post

The 'Ro'meave' brothers and the 'Ro'meave' family at large.
First of all I have qoutes around Ro'meave as the brother as they are called the Ravensborn brothers in my rewrite despite their last name being Ro'meave-Ravenscroft (both names coming from their father.)
Vylad is the only Ravensborn brother to not have the family name as his father a man native to the Enki islands gave Vyladimir his name. (Yes his legal name is Vyladimir.)
The Ro'meave and Ravenscroft families are extremely important to the history of O'Kaisis and Ru'aun. And when the families connected it was a massive deal as the two families are extremely affluent in O'Kaisis.
When Aphmau MCD (now named Ayla) and her crew dismantled the kingdom of O'Kaisis forcing them to stop being a monarchy as Lady Irena commanded many times during his lifetime decades ago.
The Ravensborn brothers, excluding Vylad live in the largest city in O'Kaisis when the Ravenscroft Manor resides in the city of Ravensborn (where the name of the Ravensborn brothers comes from)
Vylad and his father moved to Pheonix Drop to get Vylad a better education. And while Vylad is smart enough to go to O'Kaisis prep with Zane he refused the offer and went to Pheonix Drop High School the largest public school in all of Pheonix Drop (which is a big deal as Pheonix Drop is a popular town even if it is small as it's the resting place of Irena, not O'Kaisis (which is upsetting to the people of O'Kaisis)
Garroth goes to Pheonix Drop High to annoy his father and also because in O'Kaisis prep he was constantly being bothered and talked too which made this awkward Football player not want to go anymore.
Zane goes to OKPS (O'Kaisis Preparatory School) Zane is a high priest in training and is a part of a sub-section of the Jury of Nine that has members in training. Zane has visions/prophecies but their mainly about his own life and his friends and he even remembers all his past lives. (MCD; Kaii & IRENA ERA; Zander)
Zianna is a saint and loves and takes care of all her children, including Vylad as much as possible (and Garte hates it)
That's all I have for y'all today but I'll probably do a character sheet including art and character details. Also feel free to ask questions as I have so much more to say when it comes to O'Kaisis and the Ravensborn brothers and characters personal struggles.

Dragons Rising spoilers below
I've seen mixed opinions on Arin, specifically the selfishness. And some people are saying stuff like "He wants his parents back that isn't selfish!" And thats true, wanting your parents is never something thats selfish. What IS selfish is that you'll make everything about yourself, and completely disregard the fact that other people are missing their families too. It's not just Arin that lost his family/loved ones it's multiple people.
Even Nya can be used in this example (and Zane) they've both lost a loved one. And even when Nya "finds" Jay, she prioritizes the mission because she knows it's important to the world. Now you could argue saying "Nya is a grown adult and Arin is a kid" Arin is about 16-17 and when the Ninja first started about they were about that age and all I can really say is to just look at Kai's development from the beginning.
For Sora lying to Arin, I think in the moment she shouldn't have told him, but once they reached the monastery she should've. But her character doesn't like to disappoint others so she was fearful of that, but even when he confronted her she told the truth and didn't lie. But linking that with what Ras has been telling Arin, it's one of the reasons why it's annoying (no offense) when the "Arin isn't selfish" people are ignoring this. Arin is only with Ras because he can lead him to his parents, and despite the fact that Ras has endangered their lives on multiple occasions(even trying to split them up) and was sided with someone who was using dragons for fuel.
Then you move onto the training bit, where Ras inadvertently trained Arin on how to properly do Spinjitzu,(theory) and I've seen people talking about how when Arin does it fully it has red streaks because he's forcing it and it'll likely hurt him somehow in the future. But back onto the training, Lloyd had said multiple times he doesn't think he'll be a good master and Arin kept pushing that onto him(and excluding the fact he doesn't even see the Ninja as people more so idols and still saw them as such till this season).
Then moving on when Master Wu said he caused the merge (which he could've said that he did because he couldn't prevent it, me and a friend actually talked about that) Cole was in shock and Arin's immediate thought was "wow they can't even believe Master Wu would do something like that" No Arin, Cole was in shock because he didn't expect that. And you told Lloyd this information when he's fighting the enemy, and when he said he'll deal with it later that didn't mean "I won't believe this information you've given me" it's a "I'll digest this information AFTER we defeat the enemy" and even Zane says it's a lot of information to process. This entire time Arin was just being selfish and unempathic.
The only thing I can praise him on was the whole detective thing he has going on, which was good, but overall was selfish the rest of the time. What makes it a bit frustrating is that Arin being a character thats written selfishly isn't a bad thing, he can have major character development and seeing a main character like this is really cool to see. But trying to erase that crucial part of his character is silly.
Anyways I hope I didn't make anyone angry with this post, and if I did that wasn't my intention to. There's also probably A LOT of spelling errors I didn't see so I apologize for that. And Im open to discussion! If you haven't already make sure you drink some water to stay hydrated and have a lovely day!

Something that's always bothered me about Mystreet (and especially the later seasons once we start focusing on werewolves and their lore and stuff) was how the racism aspect was handled.
I think on paper the werewolf racism wasn't necessarily a,, bad idea to include this since it's a very real topic and this could have been a good instance of explaining this kind of thing through metaphor/allegory (although whether its inclusion was a good thing is also up for interpretation imo. Personally I think you could include it but you would need to be extremely conscientious and knowledgeable through research about how to tackle this in a realistic and respectful manner). I just feel it's so weird that werewolves are the only ones who seem to get hit with the racism button and no one else does?? Meif'wa don't, witches don't, demons don't (at least in Mystreet) so why is it only the werewolves? (oh hey Jess' not so blatant werewolf fetish what are you doing here?)
And what constitutes actual racism in this universe? Are there slurs? It seems to be implied a few times when werewolves get upset being called 'dogs' or anything similar. And I think 'furry' could be read as one too? And it seems like 'cat' could also be one for meif'wa (although that was mostly a thing from a Halloween special mini series that was a zombie movie parody with magic cats so idk how canon it is). But meif'wa aren't considered as much of an issue as werewolves in-universe which,, okay??? Why?? Surely there's a stereotype about them scratching stuff up all the time?? If there are stereotypes about werewolves shouldn't there be some for meif'wa? And Zianna, when meeting KC, says that she's heard meif'wa are "so easy going". Couldn't that be considered a micro-aggression in some contexts? But no one says anything about it? It was so weird. Also I'm pretty sure Zane called KC "kitty" once or twice which again,, wouldn't that also be considered a micro-aggression??? I feel like I'm going insane
Like there's so many instances of Aphmau using terms or doing things which other werewolves find offensive (like calling Aaron alpha which,, I'm not touching that with a 39 1/2 ft pole) but meif'wa being called kitty or other variants are fine?? This also isn't helped by the fact that the meif'wa literally have no culture or lore development whatsoever.
Also the fact that race fetishes exist in Mystreet is,, a very fucked up choice. Why was this decidedly a thing for Sylvanna?? It's so weird and uncomfortable and she does this IN FRONT OF HER HUMAN BOYFRIEND ERIC. It felt so distasteful and just should've been excluded entirely.
Also none of this is helped by the ACTUAL racism present in Jess writing (especially with KC bc holy shit she was a hot mess) and other stuff which I honestly can't name off the top of my head but it sure exists :/
TLDR: why was racism included in this Minecraft roleplay YouTube series to begin with it's weird as fuck

MARCH 2ND, 2024
A POLITICAL RENDEZVOUS at THE CLOISTERS
FINAL PART
The auction is over. The winners are announced. Guests leave the venue either celebrating, or cursing the Cloisters for all they're worth.
The protest outside the venue caused some disturbance — including making it hard for Abel Rousseau (@abelrousseau) and Alan Dietrich (@alandietrich) to leave the premises, getting trapped by its chaos —, and it ended with a few pairs of wrists in tight handcuffs. In the list of names you can find Sebastian Sideris (@sebastiansideris) and Vanja Janko-Pagonis (@vanjajanko-pagonis), who were arrested by Rowan Halliday (@chiefhalliday) and Flynn Halliday (@flynnxhalliday).
The Democrats rounded out the event with a whopping $171,600 worth of donations through the auction, despite the mysterious disappearance of the garland style diamond necklace — which had been been purchased for $30,000... but ultimately stolen by Zane Saxena (@zanexsaxena) before it could be to its new owner. Across the isle, Republicans ended the auction at $91,650 worth of donations.
Coincidence or not, the same results were reflected on the cover of the New York Times the very next day — with the Democrats leading the polling numbers by 5%.
EVENT WRAP-UP INFO
The roles assigned above are a reflection of the 'BY THE END OF PART 3...' prompt provided in the previous part. Please do read back in case you missed it! Points* were tallied by the admins and the characters with most/least bucks were given the plot points above — which they can do anything with from that! While those pointers must happen, everything else in plotting is up to you.
*The points which were taken into consideration were: Replies posted + challenges completed, excluding only auction wins as we wanted to avoid wealthier characters to have an advantage over the rest. Worry not, those auction points will still be added to your burnie bucks bank — they just weren't included in this particular in-character round up.
The hijacking of an auction item was purchased in the burnie bucks store by Zane Saxena.
In addition, Mathias Malkovich is the character who acquired the most amount of points overall during the event, with a total of 1720 points. As a result, the player will get to choose a reward as offered by the admins. Those options being:
Promotion to Senior Hitman — A level above the one Mathias currently holds, where he would then earn higher income, and be assigned to higher profile targets. (Alternatively, a different position within the Hitman realm, which can be suggested by the player.)
Get Out of Jail Free Card — What it says on the tin. Mathias may do one thing of his choice, be it a crime or otherwise, and get away with it with no consequences.
Always-Available Blame Key — One Blame Key which Mathias may use for anything, whenever he wants to; free of charge and that can be used without constraints of any events, plots, etc.
OOC INFO
PART FOUR out of FOUR. The event is now over.
Members don't need to drop event threads if they don't wish to, but we recommend trying to wrap them in a timely manner. <3
Members are also free to use the plot points featured on this post as talking points for future threads or interactions, if they wish to.
If you believe we made any mistakes or missed anything in tallying up points, please shoot us an IM and we'll work with you to make sure you get the rewards you worked hard for!
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED <3

so as it currently stands what's the order that your next gen oc's reach true potential
AS IT STANDS—
Lucina: Similar to the likes of Sora, Euphrasia, and probably Geo and Wyldfyre, she gets access to using her powers via The Merge, but doesn’t necessarily have her full/true potential (similar to Jesse now). And while her dual (quad?) power-wielding gives her a lot of options, she doesn’t have access to cool specific abilities like Lloyd (such as Master Building or his spoilerific NRG ability, along with certain abilities connected to Void and [Redacted]). She is therefore not counted here (because I’m not sure if/when/how she hits TP yet)
Also, reminder, Briar did not inherit an element, so she is also excluded
Anyway, the real list:
Finn: Unlike his mom who was the very last of her generation, Finn is the first out of his group. Reaches his almost immediately after he turns 14, due to a) High Elemental Attunement (like Jay) and b) not having very much holding his heart back anyway. (Quinn is particularly upset at how little he even had to try)
Cam: as mentioned in her baby posts, due to being “made of magic”, she can somewhat manifest her powers from birth, but she doesn’t have any real control over them. She gets full control/her TP at age 15, most likely after resolving some daddy issues she repressed as a kid (like Cole…oh the irony…)
Blythe: Blythe reaches his at 16, although beforehand he panics about never being able to figure it out since he’s been raised so differently from his parents and doesn’t know what his “role” is supposed to be. It then turns out that he is like his parents in one very significant way; he’s very protective of those he cares about, and earns his powers via throwing himself in front of the younger kids during a dangerous situation. (His is the only one I’ve actually thought out because hnnng the EMOTIONS!! And Kai being so proud T-T)9 )
Quinn: Quinn struggles to reach her TP due to some identity issues and frustrations with herself (hey, something she must’ve got from Nya) and also attempts to invoke her powers just from Outbursts (…also like Nya. And also not recommended!) Doesn’t reach hers until she’s 16…..and then very much proceeds to make up for lost time.
Blaire: they definitely hit their TP last timelinewise due to being significantly younger. However, Blaire reaches their TP at a much younger age than everyone else (similar to Chamille and Morro…and Skylor…), and getting TP before age 14 can lead to the Master’s body not quite being ready to handle all that power yet (hence why they’re always managing to hurt themselves and others)
Seven (maybe): *If* Seven ever inherited the Element of Ice from Zane, it would be out of necessity, and long after everyone else has had their TP, and then they themselves would have to reach TP too. Still on the fence about whether or not this actually happens (but the idea of an ice samurai is so tempting hnnnnng)

an idea for mystreet season 7
for the past two years i have been thinking over what a mystreet season 7 could look like. with the cast dealing with the aftereffects of starlight to the revelation that mystreet and diaries take place in the same universe there’s A LOT to deal with.
the general synopsis for what my rendition of a season 7 is this:
Upon finally recovering most of his long term memories and leaving behind his red scarf, Aaron begins to recall odd, out of place events mixed in with the rest of his life. So strange and bizarre that they almost seem from another time. Left unsure on what to do he begins to do his own personal research and ends up asking his ghost friend her opinion.
In the aftermath of Starlight, with the help of her head-mate Kim, Emmalyn’s memories of her life finally begin to slide and fit together. However, her years from being alive seem to be a scary parody of the past year; familiar faces and names litter her memories in all the worst possible ways and she can only think of one possible explanation.
Tumblr media
the storyline would be set a couple months after the events of Her Wish. after meeting alina something was triggered deep inside aaron and it brought back his memories from his past life. at this point in the story he’s in the healing process after starlight and his life in general (this man has a laundry list of diagnoses now oml). despite the everyday struggle of c-ptsd and easing back into every day life,, he is making big strides and has even recently began to take off his scarf from time to time. when it comes to his new memories,, he was more bewildered than frightened. his past life memories don’t make much sense to him but he knows they’re important in some way.
kim is also doing well,, although she feels very weighed down by emmalyn’s harsh shift in personality. she always tries to cheer her up but her head-mate only seems to have negative things to say,, or nothing at all. however,, once emmalyn recovers her memories from when she was alive kim begins to understand why she’s changed, but even with this new knowledge emmalyn still doesn’t let her in as she once did. kim just hopes that something good can come out of this reincarnation business.
now the storyline would be mainly centred around aaron and kim/emmalyn uncovering the truth behind their new memories and eventually coming to the conclusion that them and their friends were reincarnated (excluding kim and aphmau - i'll get to that another time). this leads them to first divulging their discoveries to aphmau and lucinda (being the people aaron and kim trust the most) before sharing this revelation to everyone else. the rest of the season(s) would be dedicated to the journey the cast go through dealing with this lowkey insane news and possibly trying to see if any of them can also recall their past lives.
upon their initial discovery,, aaron and kim get to properly know each other and bond as they kind of lose their minds together as they try to make sense of his and emmalyn's memories. stuck in the middle of this unlikely trio is emmalyn who has grown cold after fully regaining her memories. and there's a simple explanation for this: she suffered a lot. like,, a lot. she was strung along for the diaries cast's bullshit (she ended up in the irene dimension even though she had no involvement in laurance,, garroth and aphmau's drama) and more importantly, her husband died. brutally. and was killed by someone that everyone around her considers a friend: zane.
so yeah she's not doing so swell.
Tumblr media
a little tidbit to add here is that once aaron and emmalyn make sense of the situation and realise that them and their friends have been reincarnated,, they share stories and begin to construct a timeline. it starts from when irene/aphmau first arrived in phoenix drop until the final showdown against shad. aaron was a bit taken aback after hearing everything that happened after his sacrifice to say the least.
i have more to say but i’m tired

Random headcanon that popped into my head
THIS IS SO CUTE TO ME HDBAJNSHWNAN
I had this thought that when they feel strong emotions (excluding sadness) their element sort of idk how to word it like bursts out??
Like for example jay: imagine he has his first kiss or sum shit little sparks of electricity with go up and down his body until that giddy feeling subsides, with negitive emotions it’ll be the same but more intense
Kai: his body will heat up unnaturally or fire will spike up suddenly and go away in random places, with negative emotions it’ll burst out suddenly from his hands or just the air around him
Zane: his body will get super cold like Kai’s and with negative emotions it’ll sort of shield over him or spike up from his shoulders
Cole: idrk about him, honestly. Maybe like with negative emotions the ground will spike up around his feet.
Lloyd is even harder bc his power is green or something 💀 jk since its energy/life I think he would just glow. Like his body with have this ethereal green glow around it. It’ll be more intense and focused around his eyes with neg emotions
I also feel that maybe this would only be prevalent in the early stages of them gaining their powers. As they learn to control it, this would happen less but like in the first season when their mentality was more relaxed and careless about wielding their powers they would have elemental outbursts like this :3
Ty for coming to my TedTalk
