I love the idea of humans being space orcs. I’ve always wondered about the potential differences between Hylians and Humans some of my ideas include:
Humans are heavier than Hylians (they have bird-like bones)
Hyrule is the lightest of the links since is half fairy (personal hc)
A hit that would break a Hylian’s bones, just majorly bruises a human
Reader can carry multiple small links or a bigger link
They are limited by the size of the Link being carried, not weight
Reader is shorter than Time (personal hc), so it’s a little awkward carrying him in smaller spaces
Can double carry (piggy back one Link on their back, carry another one on their front) easily
Will carry both Four and Hyrule, going through portals and after since they both get sick (personal hc)
I feel like Twilight would initially be the Link most resistant to being picked up, shaped as a Hylian or Wolfie, when they are first picked up. They just freeze for a solid minute or two before relaxing. He loves it after that.
More resistant to weather (heat & cold)
Have iron stomachs (compared to Hylians)
Humans can eat pretty much every plant and not get sick unlike their Hylian counterparts
Can easily eat Hyrule’s cooking, it may not taste as nice but it’s still edible
Wild pouring in Gordon spice is still palatable, like eating a dorito (not really spicy, just adds flavor)
As a population, humans expand faster (more fertile, pregnancy is shorter than Hylians)
It’ll blow their minds if you have 2+ siblings
I mean, is there even a large Hylian family (I think once I saw a family with 3 kids once?) (imagine if they saw the show 19+ kids and counting)?
Resistant to magic, but also can’t use any
Hyrule’s magic healing does nothing, good thing humans don’t get injured easily
It’s okay Rulie, it’s not your fault
Humans heal slower than Hylians (since in Wild’s world they can eat and instantly recover)
Hylian metal is thin compared to what humans use
I don’t know why, but I just imagine it like thick aluminum foil, very pliable, but resistant to cuts and stabs
Could you imagine human!reader finding a dent in Times armor, and just smoothing out the dent with their bare hands
Four is probably swooning in the background
Also shows how dangerous their enemies are compared to humans
Earth doesn’t have Hylian monsters, all of Earths monsters are just evil/bad humans
Wind is astonished you can swim against the tide with ease
Their Hyrule’s ocean currents are 1/2 as strong as Earths
Think of Hyrule’s stormy oceans as swimming in a strong lap pool (you know those small long skinny pools with a current so you can swim straight in them and go no where?)
To end all of this, could you just imagine, the Chain and human are fighting a group of monsters. Human’s sword breaks (one of Wild’s), so human throws the sword away, they look defenseless so the monsters target the, all Links are freaking out, so what does human do? They start punching, kicking, and decking every monster in the face. Turns out humans are Hylian One Punch Man (/men?). Their punches are lethal if it hits the right spot. Link (all of them) is dumbfounded, how are they that strong? Are our monsters weak to them? How strong are their monsters? They don’t have any?-well it makes sense,if all humans can do that then they clearly eradicated them all!
Sorry for taking all of your time and spamming you with my thoughts, I just love, love, LOVE, the idea of humans being space orcs to Hylians!!!
AHHHHH I cant believe so many ppl (like 3?) are into the humans are space orcs to Hylians AU :’)
erratic bits i wanna add on to ur incredible list u got going on here

☆
I SUBCSCRIBEEE TO MAMMAL BASED HUMAN ANATOMY VS. AVIAN BASED HYLIANS
like how tf else u livin in the sky?? lol
or riding all those birds and creatures, like ofc u weigh on avg exactly 8 apples lmao (btw i got this from botw, where someone tested how much Link weighs for game physics and it was about 8 apples i think)
smth about u being a game nerd boy, may or may not be that fit, and yet goes to take a blow for a Link that had them all wincing, only to walk away with a nasty bruise like,
yes pls be impressed by me literal versions of Link from Legend of Zelda, along with now being real life heroes who have literally fought evil itself and won <3333
would literally start flexing my (nonexistent) muscles like LMAOO
that's going straight to my head ngl
like can u imagine the amount of times you have to resist just sweeping a Link up to princess carry them around?? like poor boy you've always done the princess carrying, allow me 🫴 (gentlemanly bows with hand out for him to take) LMAO
Gay tension thru the ROOF one time u playfully did this lol
some of them rlly out here trying to find a reason not to be picked up like??
Twilight: look u can pick me up, but im too big compared to you so it just wont work out…
You, seconds away from ur dream of picking up Twilight Princess Link, not about to stop now: SO WHAT ur bigger than me? All the more room to get a good hold on you babieee >:)
and Time,
Time: i have armor on, and im taller than you. itd be awkward, i can just lean on you until we can splint my ankl-
You: u think the little details gonna stop me? cute, get on my back rn. 😐
on another related carrying Links note,
BRO U BEAT ME TO IT!!
I thought as soon as I posted other ask abt this abt how Rulie/Four get sick and how others have had to carry them before,
but with you here??
Rulie and Four are livvinggggg >>>
so if we go on bird hylians theory, they actually have a higher body temp (bird base contribute to burning thru food quicker too? birds have a higher metabolism too right? would make more sense with how they consume food a lot for both healing and bc they hungrier more often than humans)
so u know that feeling of being nauseous, laying stomach down on the cold bathroom floor or smth and suddenly all ur problems are solved?
Hyrule and Four getting carried by u, their lovely Guide become physical, after portals ^^^
getting carried by u/physical affection from u is by far the best thing to come out of you becoming physical, all links have secretly decided lol
so unlike previous posts, if we’re being more true to humans are space orcs/australians tumblr side, i think I've heard over there abt eating/human diets being radically different a lot!
like how originally caffeine/capsican (the spicy part of peppers) was poison, or kept animals from eating that plant bc that was their defense,
then humans came along, said, “hm, makes my mouth tingle, more energy, i like it.”
and then made coffee, energy drinks, and a million spicy dishes/snacks worldwide lmao
anyway the Links are scared lol
esp after u talk abt stuff like this, or try Goron spice
my fav scifi idea thing i ran into somewhere was how these aliens gave their human meat to eat, human got curious (which, human curiosity a whole different beast of a post to get into, so many ideas)
and tried to gnaw on bones, like u do with stuff like ribs u know, and then broke the bone, found the marrow tasted great, and then the bone was so flimsy/broke down so much that they ate it too lol
So now, imagine the Chain did that to you LMAO
Four/Wild/Wind are fascinated by ur bone/jaw strength, Wars/Hyrule/Sky/Twi are mildly horrified but cant look away, Legend and Time are surprised but also at the stage of just acceptance of ur human bullshit lmao
unrelated to above, abt the fertility thing
one side of my family is super big (mom is 1 of 5, one of which is her identical twin) then each of them had about 3 kids, then some of my cousins are now having their own 1-2 kids, along with some of my adopted cousins thrown in/somebodies stepkids or like divorced situation where they sometimes show up to this side of the family, like 💀
Chain want to hear everything about ur family ngl if ur in a situation like this lol
the absolute shock on their faces after u tell them about twins/triplets/quintuplets/etc. existing lol
Bro, the amount of things I could talk abt with magic resistant reader pros/cons, like have u ever seen that in animes before? where it'll have a character who can negate stuff?
its so OP, it might just be worth not being able to use their magic much in hyrule
so i included that gif bc a scenario i can totally see happening that i didnt get to include in other posts is a guardian firing a laser at you and it just,, bounces off
or gets kinda absorbed, like maybe you got the equivalent burn of like touching a hot pan, stings for like an hour then is gone by the end of the day
Wild would literally not let go of you or let you out of his sight if he saw that happen poor thing ToT
Guardians were already so tricky for the Chain, esp black blooded (robots have blood? unclear)
then ur ass shows up all heat resistant to their world, and ur slow ass gets got by the beam, everyone’s horrified and poor boys are regretting you ever getting a physical form, bro you think your dead-
and then u just sit up, chest kinda burny, but just like described above, not even a real burn
even better, the guardian takes out ur weapon and u just have to like, square up to a guardian ASFHLJSL-
tbh most battles ur absolutely set,
u got magic resistance, so like wizzrobes who are all magic-based do nothing to you, u can literally punch ur way out a situation, as long as u keep ur guard up ur good, but even if u get hit physically, like u said, bruises at worst, bc at worst in a battle you'd get a broken bone
maybe if something had the strength to like, sever a limb, a step up from broken bones, then they manage to actually bruise u badly + cut you or smth
so basically ur biggest challenge in battles is working up the courage to get into them LMAO
like u know that thing from Oot with the bloody hands and shit?? dead hand or redead or smth?? skulltulas???? (esp if u have phobias related to it, like having arachnophobia like me for skulltulas💀)
Chain: Charge! cmon Guide!
You: I got your back girl! …from over here!
ur so perfect for fighting and ur biggest obstacle is just how fucking terrifying fighting that shit irl would be 😭 😭
the Links don't give u battle advice really, they instead just have to encourage you so you'll be less afraid and can fight LMAO
(makes sense to them tho bc ur world doesn't have these same monsters, most of them tbh would've had a harder time relating before this adventure, bc now they get to a new hyrule with entirely diff monsters they can relate more lol)
(Oh, and yes. Four is honest to god falling in love with you all over again seeing you sharpen edges of swords by pinching ur fingers, or dipping ur hand in lava casually to help the harder metals soften, or smooth out dents in armor. Time may have also felt some type of way the first time you reached out and smoothed a dent right in the middle of his chest.)
☆
could've said SO much more, but my ideas sometimes go too quick for my fingers to type, so this was all i could catch for now
dw ill never shut up about this AU so ill prob get them all out eventually, GOD i wanna write a male!reader fic with this so bad
but i keep forcing myself to at least finish 1/3 fics im updating rn before i launch into another lol
TYSM for this!!
I LOVE hearing ppls idea abt this AU, esp if u include male/gen neutral reader, like just take my heart ig <333
Sorry abt the late reply btw!! :’(
Peace out Daicinia,
🌙

It had been a rough few months, no doubt about that. Somehow, I survived. Made it to the solo camping trip I had been thinking about for months. It's nothing I haven't done before. Even the trails and campsite are familiar. Still, it had been a few years and I was itching to get away from the city and all the noises it pounds into my head.
I head down the backroads, the pine trees growing thicker the further out I get from the city. At first I pass a lot of cars, mostly traveling into the city. But after a while, when the trees are so tall I can't see over them, so thick I can barely see through them, I'm the only car on the road.
I see the sign for the campsite and turn, heading down the dirt path to the small parking lot about a half mile in from the road. There are a couple of other jeeps and trucks here, one of them belonging to the park ranger who sits inside the small welcome center/general store. I head inside to use the bathroom, the last little "luxury" I give myself before spending a week away from everyone.
"Hi mis- Autumn! Haven't seen you for what...3 years?"
I smile at the man behind the counter, giving him a little wave. "Hey Jay! You're still working here? I thought you'd have retired by now." I grab a couple of bags of the beef jerky they have on sale. It's made by a local farmer and I can only get it here.
Jay chuckles. "Next year. Maybe."
"Don't push yourself too hard, Jay."
"Oh! Mary had her baby! Course she's 3 now."
"Oh really? Damn, 3 already?”
Jay looks at me pointedly. “Well that’s what you get for taking so long to come back and visit.”
Before I can answer, the bell on the entrance door jingles out and Jay glances over my shoulder. “Afternoon, sir! Can I help you with anything?”
“Just a trail map, thanks.” His voice is a little raspy, like he hadn’t used it for a while. I turn to point to the map stand but am momentarily frozen.
This man is gorgeous.
Tall, short blonde hair, slightly longer up top. Military or ex military judging by the cut and the way he holds himself. But his eyes meet mine, slate blue and what was I saying?
Jay pinches my arm. “Show him the maps, Autumn.”
I force a small chuckle to Jay, quickly pulling my arm from his pinching fingers and walk towards the blonde man and am hit with the scent of pine, leather, and old spice. Normally I would not be into the latter on a man but the way it mixes with his natural scent is going straight to my head. And other places.
“Here,” I somehow manage to walk past him and grab a map from the spinning holder, turning to hand it to him. The man takes it, his eyes twinkling before he gives me a quick wink.
“Thanks, darlin’.” His eyes quickly flick down my body, or maybe I’m imagining it?
“You check the weather before coming, sir?”
His eyes are on mine still for another moment before he turns to address Jay. “Yeah I did. This isn’t my first time camping.”
Jay nods. “Military?”
The man chuckles. “Vet. Am I that obvious?”
Jay shrugs. “Not exactly. I just know people. Well, as long as you know what you’re in for. Shouldn’t be too bad but just make sure to stay warm. Not sure how long you’ll be here but if ever a blizzard alert comes up, you come right back here, ok? There’s a small cabin out back that’s open to campers 24/7.”
“Thanks.” The man takes his map, declining Jay’s offer of a bag. He glances back over at me. “See you later, darlin’.”
Fuck. Me. “See you!”
It takes me the usual couple of days to make it to my favorite spot, but I breathe a sigh of relief when I break through the trees, the breathtaking view of the mountains and lake spread out before me. It feels like coming home.
I get to work setting up my camp, fire and tent good to go, my food hanging from a bag in a tree. I managed to find a place with a good fallen log, perfect for sitting on or against and close enough to the fire so I can keep warm. The wind blows through the nettles of the tall pines around me, the cool, misty breeze coating the exposed skin on my face. I take a deep breath in and out. I really missed being here.
I do turn on my high powered radio to listen to the weather report twice a day, making sure nothing unexpected is coming. There’s something the weathermen are looking at, but they don’t think it’ll be anything. Still, the temps are sure to drop in a couple of days and there may be a bit of snow. I’m prepared for it, but it’s still good to know.
A couple days later, I’m about a half mile from camp, walking along the trail near the lake. So far, I’ve seen a couple of deer and a ton of birds. I’m stopped, leaning against a tree trunk to take a quick break when I hear the sound of footsteps on the path ahead. I know I’m not the only one camping, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t instantly on alert. Another couple of seconds of hearing the sound and I know it’s human. From around the curve of the path emerges the man from Jay’s, his pack full and looking heavy. He sounds a little winded and had obviously been walking for a bit. I straighten myself and wave to him.
“Hey! Fancy seeing you here!”
The man glances at me and smiles, the same one from the shop. “Hey…Autumn?”
I nod. I tell him my real name. “But Jay’s been calling me Autumn since I first came to this trail.”
“Let me guess. It was during Autumn?”
I chuckle. “Jay is original.”
He comes closer, but stops several feet away, breathing heavier. “I’m Will.”
“Nice to meet you, Will.”
He nods to me. “Same.”
He still doesn’t move. “I don’t bite, you know.”
He cocks his head, confused, but then seems to piece it together. “Oh. Well, I didn’t want to freak you out by invading your space.”
I’m fairly positive if this man wanted to take me down, he could’ve done that, several feet away with a pack on or no. “Thank you. That’s…unexpected. And kind.”
“Don’t other people do that?”
I shake my head. “Not really.”
“Oh. Well they should.”
I shrug. “Maybe….but Will, you can come closer. It’s alright.”
He raises his eyebrows. “You sure?”
“Yeah, why?”
He remains rooted to the spot. “You don’t think I’ll take advantage of you?”
I snort. “I’m fairly positive you could’ve done that already, Mr. Military. Don’t threaten me with a good time.” What the fuck did I just say?
I swear I see the tips of his ears turn pink as he chuckles, shifting his weight nervously from foot to foot. “A good time it would be.”
He comes closer and I gesture towards my bag which is resting against a log. He takes his own off and sets it beside mine, shrugging and stretching his shoulders a bit. “I really should’ve taken a break before now. Gettin’ old sucks.”
I chuckle, my eyes roaming down his arms, the flannel on his shirt hugging his biceps in all the right ways.
“You look in great shape to me.”
His eyes meet mine and we stare at each other for several moments before I blink, shaking my head a little to rid myself of the not at all PG thoughts I was having.
“So…are you trying to make it back to that cabin before the weather moves in?”
Will clears his throat, giving his own head a little shake before crossing his arms across his broad chest. “That was the plan.”
“Have you listened to the weather station today?”
He furrows his brows and I melt. “No, why?”
“The uh..storm? Is moving a little faster than they thought. No way you’ll make it back to Jay’s cabin before it starts to pick up.”
“Shit.” Will sighs, bringing his fingers up to pinch the bridge of his nose. “I really thought I’d be able to make it but my leg was acting up.”
I can tell he’s not used to this, needing breaks. He seems like the kind of guy that just pushes through the pain. Until it pushes back.
“Come on. You can stay with me.” I push back from the tree and lean down to get my pack, swinging it up on my back. When I look back up at Will, he’s staring at me, eyes wide.
“What?”
“Did you just invite me to your camp?”
I adjust the straps on my shoulders. “Yeah. Let’s get going so that way we aren’t stuck.”
“You trust me?”
I click the last strap into place across my chest before I look at him. “I thought we established that I do.”
He studies me for a long moment, his eyes moving between mine and I swear he glances down at my lips. “You sure you have the space?”
I shrug. “May be a little bit of a squeeze but temps are dropping anyway. We can always find a way to get warm.” What did I just say?
A small smirk spreads across his beautiful face. “I’m sure we can, darlin’.” He leans down and grabs his own pack, situating it on his back before he gestures to me. “Lead the way.”
Talking to Will is easy, comforting almost. He tells me about his time in the army, Delta Force, and his brothers, including his real life brother Benny. A golden retriever of a man if I ever heard of one. He asks me questions about my life and listens intently, actually interested in what I have to say. Before I know it, we’re back at my camp. Will stops for a moment, staring out over the lake at the mountain behind it and whistles. “You found a hell of a view.”
“Thanks. It took me a couple years to find but now it’s like home.”
Will helps me start a fire and get food cooking, laughter and conversation flows just as easily as before and I find myself gravitating towards him, physically. But he also seems to be scooting closer and closer until our legs are nearly touching. Snowflakes start to fall, coming in faster and thicker.
“We should probably get the sleeping bags set up before it gets hard to see,” Will suggests, his breath puffing out in tendrils in front of him.
“Good idea.”
Will gets the outside of our little camp ready as the sun starts to dip and night comes. We manage to get in the tent before the snow really starts to come down. It’s a little bigger than a one room tent, but we’re still pretty snug in here now that there’s two of us. And he’s so fucking broad. I shift my sleeping bag over a bit more and Will slides his down next to mine. He looks between our bags and then up at me, his eyebrows pulled together in slight concern.
“What is it?” I ask nervously.
“It’s…nevermind.”
I punch his arm and have to choke back a scream at how firm it is. “Just tell me.”
He chuckles while he dramatically rubs his arm. “Ouch,” he smirks as I roll my eyes. “But we should zip our bags together. For warmth. It’s about to get pretty cold.”
“William Miller. Are you asking to get in my sleeping bag with me?”
He shifts nervously, his ear tips turning red. “No! I uh, that’s not… I mean, it’s basic survival. I didn’t mean.. I don’t want you to think-”
I laugh then, cutting him off. “Chill out, Will. I know how you meant it. You’re a nice guy. I just like watching you blush.”
He rubs at his face. “You’re dangerous.”
“How dare you, good sir. I am a lady.”
He snorts and I swear under his breath he says “I bet you are.”
We get the bags zipped together and slide down in them, trying to leave as much space as we could between us. After several minutes of us shuffling around awkwardly, Will chuckles.
“You wanna be the big spoon or the little one?”
My laughter rings out in the tent joining his, tears streaming down my face at this brilliant tension breaker. “I’ll be little,” I choke out. I turn around, facing my back towards him. I feel him scoot closer and heat instantly rushes through my body, pooling between my thighs. Can he hear how my heart is about to beat from my chest?
“Is this ok?” Will’s breath fans out over my neck, goosebumps erupting in it’s wake.
“Uh..I uh…y-yeah. All good. Is it uh, close enough? For survival, I mean.”
Will clears his throat. “Uh, well I mean. We should probably be, uh, closer. To stay warm. For survival, of course.”
“Well if it’s for survival, scoot as close as you want.”
He makes a choking sound but shifts closer, his body molding to mine. I can feel his hand hovering, unsure of where to place it. I reach back and take it, gently placing it on my hip, trying to ignore the heat that immediately ignites, flowing down between my legs. The wind blows outside, the tent rustling with it. I shift my hips a little and Will’s grip on my hip tightens, his fingers digging into my skin. And I can feel something else pressing against my ass and I swallow hard.
“You’re going to have to stop moving around, darlin’. Please.” He chokes out the last word, sounding restrained.
I take a deep breath. “What if I don’t want to?”
His grip tightens even more and I know I’ll bruise if he keeps it up. And I don’t care if I do.
“I’m trying really hard to be respectful, Autumn.”
I glance over my shoulder at him. “Don’t be respectful then.”
A quiet growl emanates from him. “What are you saying?”
I make sure I have his gaze. “Be disrespectful. If it’s permission you want, you have it.”
He watches me for a long moment before I feel him shift, his arm that’s not gripping my hip sliding under my neck. He twists his wrist, sliding it down to unbutton my shirt, his hand finding it’s way down my shirt and under my bra, gently swiping his fingers over my nipple. But at the same time, his other hand slowly moves from my hip, pulling my leg up and over his own, his hand gently teasing my skin as he pushes it under my pantline and between my legs, another groan when he feels how wet I am. I gasp as he nips at my shoulder.
“You’re so fuckin’ wet, Autumn.”
I try to respond, but instead a moan escapes me as his fingers start to play with me, gentle circles with alternating pressure as all my blood rushes between my legs, that fire igniting rather quickly.
“Will, I’m gonna…” I’m not entirely sure what I say as I come, my leg twitching as my body soars, pleasure radiating out from between my thighs, spreading throughout me.
“Feeling warm?” Will speaks deeply in my ear, nibbling a little on my ear lobe.
I nod, my head flying already. “You didn’t even take my clothes off.”
He chuckles against my neck. “I told you I was respectful.”
Surprising even myself, I reach behind me and grab him over his pants. He grunts but pushes against my hand, no doubt relieving some of the pressure. I turn my head towards him, my lips barely brushing his. “Please, Will.”
His eyes are like a storm at sea, blue and wild, darkening. “Tell me.”
I take his hand and push it between my legs where I was growing wetter by the second as I push my hips back, grinding on him. He grunts in my ear. “You gotta stop doing that or I won’t be able to hold myself.”
My hand, still over his, pushes his fingers towards my entrance, his thick fingers circling me, heat and anticipation swirling around me. “D-don’t hold yourself back. Fuck me, Will. Please,” I’m not above begging at this point, his finger continuing to edge me along. But then he’s pulling his hand out of my pants, trying to sit up but struggling because we’re in a sleeping bag.
“Take off your clothes before I rip them off.”
That command went straight through me, my fingers moving quickly to take off all my clothes, tossing them out of the sleeping bag. Will does the same on his own, starting his own neater pile outside of the sleeping bag. I lay back down, assuming he’ll want the same position. His fingers skim across my side, watching the goosebumps pimple up. But then he pushes my hip down, turning me on my back as he slides over my body, my legs opening as wide as I can to give him space. He’s heavy, fuck he’s so much bigger than I thought as he presses against my clit, hot and pulsing. His eyes find mine, a dark twinkle in them as he leans down, pressing a gentle kiss to my lips. I part them and he slides his tongue inside, the kiss quickly heating up as he starts to move his hips. He slides himself over me, back and forth across my clit, swallowing my moans. My fingers dig at his back, silently begging him for more. The pressure is so intense, so much, that if he doesn’t fuck me now, I may just pop. Or go insane.
Then Will gently takes my wrists, pinning them on either side of my head. His hips shift and with a confident stride, he pushes into me, my head pressing back into the pillow as I feel the pleasant burn, my body stretching to accept him, all of him. He pulls his hips back and pushes in, this time with a little more force and I feel a jolt through my body as he hits some spot at the back of me. I whine as Will continues to fuck me, slowly but forcefully, heat coursing through me. And then, I snap, crying out his name as I squeeze around him, my entire body lighting up and carrying me away from myself, my release made more intense by being pinned under him, unable to move away from the intense pleasure.
Will’s breaths are heavy, panting out with restraint, like he’s holding himself back. He kisses me again, hard, nipping at my bottom lip before pulling back and out, but before I have a chance to feel too empty, he somehow flips me on my belly, my boobs pressing into the sleeping bag as he arcs my hips up just enough for him to slide in easily, my body greedily taking him in. He lays on top of me, his arms over mine as he laces his fingers with my hands. The weight of him both on and in me sends heat right back between my legs. He bites at my neck and shoulder as he fucks into me, deeper and harder with every thrust until I’m coming again, screaming his name into my pillow as I feel his hips sputter, Will whining in my ear as he spills inside of me. His body slumps against mine, both of us trying to catch our breath. Eventually, he slides off of me and to my side, turning me and pulling me to his chest. He nuzzles in my hair, wrapping his arms around me again, one massive hand holding a boob.
“Warm enough?” Will whispers in my ear.
“Mmm..” I respond. “You didn’t tell me you could fuck, Will.”
He chuckles and kisses my neck. “I’m restricted by this sleeping bag, darlin’. I did the best I could.”
The whine that escapes me is loud. “I’d love to see that.”
“Well when I’m done with you after this camping trip darlin’, you’re going to need some time to recover. And then I plan on showing you exactly how my fucking is.”

One Hell of an Unpopular Opinion #03
Characters like Barbie Wire, Chaz, Crimson, Octavia, and Stella only exist as plot devices to garner sympathy for other characters. _______ I knew fully well that Chaz and Crimson were going to merely be plot devices for Moxxie the more I watched Exes & Oohs. And sure enough, Chaz was killed at the end of that very episode and Crimson is yet another wacky cartoon villain that the narrative expects for you to take seriously. Both of these characters existed so that the audience could gain sympathy (or at least pity) for Moxxie being raised in a Mafia family and having been abused as a child along with being betrayed by his ex-boyfriend (who also happened to be Millie's ex-boyfriend for some reason.) Other than Moxxie's Mafia family upbringing making zero sense the more you think about it, Viv has basically done this exact backstory before in the form of Angel Dust (with the whole mobster backstory who was also abused by his father.) However, the Exes & Oohs episode and title actually stems from one of the HH mockup episodes that was originally about Charlie and Vaggie coming across Charlie's ex, Seviathan (yes, that's what Viv named him), and his sister, Helsa, while they were at a dinner party.
Now, do I think Chaz and Crimson could've had the potential to be good characters? In all honesty, no. Especially not Chaz. The guy is a harmful stereotype of pansexual people and how, "They'll sleep with anyone," which no, they won't. I'm not pansexual myself but that thought process is as gross as it is fucking stupid. The only person who I've seen even re-writing Chaz has been Loves Art23 (I mainly know her for YouTube videos being critical on Hazbin Hotel + Helluva Boss along with other shows like the disaster known as High Guardian Spice) and I think she's done a fairly good job so kudos to her for making him work. Personally, though I'm scrapping him as that gives me one less character to worry about when re-writing HB. Crimson would have to be heavily and I mean HEAVILY reworked/re-written in order for him to make any actual sense. That and I'm tired of every character having some variation of the same daddy issues in the Hellaverse. Which means he's also gonna get axed from me. Moving onto the ladies I mentioned, let's start off with Barbie Wire.
Having been foreshadowed since the pilot of I.M.P. (as seen when Tilla was still Barb's and Blitzo's older sister rather than their mother) Barbie Wire was an anticipated character by fans for years! And then her actual appearance finally happened in Unhappy Campers, an episode hated by practically everyone who saw it, and no one really cared about her showing up, other than the fact that the writers thought that having her seduce a BARELY legal adult would make for a good joke, when in reality, it only made everybody uncomfortable and several people dislike Barbie because of it. Sure, near the end of the episode she had that "emotional" scene with Blitzo that wants the viewers to feel bad for him and Barbie before she left but in the long run it didn't matter as fans barely even talk about it because of how uneventful it truly was. So, with that out of the way, would I keep Barbie Wire around for a rewrite of HB? To that I say, yes! There are several paths Barbie Wire's overall character could go in. If you're mainly sticking to canon, then what you have to work with is a former circus performer who lost her mother in a fire caused by her twin brother that left his own best friend to rot and be disabled for the rest of his life. It's very likely that this very fire, caused her to be out of a job and probably even homeless for a bit which could explain why she ended up becoming both a drug attic and a drug dealer. Homelessness is one of the few things that nobody wants to experience. It causes people to be filled with a sense of overwhelming loneliness and desperation as many of them either believe that there's nothing they can do or they do anything and everything that they can to get out of it even if that means resorting to crime. If you wanted to have her be loosely based on canon instead, you could make it to where she never learned about who started the fire and actually stuck with Blitzo well into adulthood. Have her become one of the members of I.M.P. and later down the line have her learn through someone like Fizz or maybe Cash (her and Blitzo's father) what actually went down that day. Have her be rightfully pissed off at Blitzo for screwing over multiple people along with being the one responsible for killing their mom. Anyway, let's proceed onto Stella and her daughter Octavia.
As much as the narrative wants me to hate Stella with a burning passion cause she hurts Stolas, I can't do it for multiple reasons but I'll list my top three. #01.) Stella's just as (if not even more so) stuck in this arranged loveless marriage as Stolas is. #02.) If the man I had no choice in marrying not only cheated on me with a man from one of the lowest classes in all of Hell but IN OUR OWN HOME & SHARED BEDROOM NO LESS? OH, FUCK NO!
#03.) This woman had to spend 9 months having to nourish and care for a baby inside her stomach that she had with a man that didn't even want to sleep with her. On top of that, she had to have become pregnant with Octavia when she was a young adult since current day Stolas and Stella are only in their mid 30s. I need you to let that information sink in.
In short, I can't hate Stella for loathing Viv's pathetic self insert bird twink with every fiber of her being.
Having said that, would I have Stella in my HB rewrite? Well, considering that I plan on keeping the war that happened in the bible that caused Lucifer and several angels to fall from grace, one of which being Stolas. Kind of. Allow me to elaborate, I would keep Stella as Octavia's mother but I wouldn't have her marry Stolas. I'd have her be a surrogate mother that way Stolas still gets an heir and Octavia could still exist. Speaking of Octavia...
We all know that she exists to make Stolas look like a better person as several stans of this show love to say how much of a good dad Stolas is when he isn't. He neglects Octavia frequently in favor of Blitzo and only pays attention to her when she's gone although EVEN THAT doesn't last long as shown in Seeing Stars where HE KNEW Octavia was missing on Earth but rather than ACTIVELY look for his daughter, what does he do? HE SITS THROUGH A STUPID LIVE COMEDY SHOW CAUSE BLITZO IS PERFORMING! HE COMPLETELY SIDELINES HIS OWN DAUGHTER IN FAVOR OF A LIVE COMEDY SHOW!
God, Octavia deserves so much better than to have a dad like him. I'm keeping Octavia for my HB rewrite so that this poor girl not only realizes how much of a bastard her dad is but eventually gets the found family she deserves. I don't plan for it to be through I.M.P. though. In closing, the characters of this show deserve to be better developed but especially the women in them.
_______
That was a long one to get through cause it's been on my mind for a while. Thank you all for reading through it and bye for now everybody!

Guessed it on the nose
At last, the Kink!Husk fic is here! Angel tries to get Husk to admit he has the kink. Sequel to a previous fic of mine (https://www.tumblr.com/sneezingfetishftw-fics/744412486700285953/done-tagging-zensations35-since-you-were-like), but you can understand this one without reading that one.
Angel Dust had been warned there might be lingering aftereffects of the sneezing powder. So he couldn’t exactly be too surprised when he got back still a tad congested. “Husk, baby, I’b hobe!”
Husk greeted him at the door, concern flitting across his features. “Are you alright? You don’t sound too great.”
“Excuse you, by voice is egseedigly sultry,” he replied in a voice that was indeed lower than usual.
“You know what I mean,” Husk responded, feeling Angel’s forehead. Normal temperature, that was a relief.
“I’b fide,” he insisted, grabbing a tissue and blowing vigorously. “Just a little congested from work today.”
Husk raised an eyebrow. “What did they have you do, crawl around in a dusty closet?”
Angel laughed. “Something like that. Anyway, I’m back and…” he froze, breath hitching a little. He felt Husk’s eyes on him, perhaps just a bit more intently now. “Het’CHIEW!” Did Husk’s ears perk up? Maybe for a split second, but they were back to normal again. “I’ll be fine, I promise. How about we just relax with some cuddling on the couch?”
“That sounds great.” It barely took any time for Husk to begin purring. Usually it was a bit further into their cuddle session before he got that happy.
Wait a minute. Angel Dust thought back to earlier today and replayed Husk’s behavior for the last few minutes. Was it possible? Unlikely perhaps, but there were definitely signs. But then how hadn’t he noticed them before? To be fair, signs are much easier to find when you know to look for them. Angel hadn’t even heard of a sneezing kink until today, and now he was starting to suspect that Husk might be into it. But how would he know? There’s no way Husk would just outright confess - the man was far too guarded, especially about things this intimate and embarrassing.
Husk hadn’t woken up yet, so Angel took the opportunity to send a text to the person he saw earlier. “Thanks again for yesterday! Can you tell me a bit more about what you like about sneezing, and also what it’s like to be in public and try to keep your kink secret?”
“Sure! But there’s gotta be a reason you’re asking lol. What’s up?”
Angel sighed. He supposed that was a fair question. “I think my boyfriend might have the kink? Not sure though, I wanna test the waters.”
“If so then he’s a lucky man, your sneezes are incredible!”
Angel laughed. The idea of being someone else’s “type” for sneezing was so silly but hey, who was he to turn down free arousal?
After some discussion back and forth, Angel was armed with plenty of ideas. He put the first idea in action while making breakfast. Husk was in the bedroom getting dressed, and Angel was in the kitchen making eggs, using a bit more pepper than was really necessary. This suggestion had come with the caveat that pepper would probably just make his nose burn and no more, but Angel knew from his own experience how sensitive he was to spices. And sure enough, his nose was tickling. “Hah’TSCHHH! ITSSCHH! TCHIEW!”
Husk stumbled out of the other room, one leg still not in his pants yet. “You alright over there, Ange?”
“All good, Husk, just got a little carried away with the pepper. Sorry if I startled you.”
“Ah, don’t worry about it. Least I’m definitely awake now.”
If the angle had been better, Angel would have had an easy way to check if Husk was enjoying this, but unfortunately the pants were pulled up before Angel could get a good look. Still, the fact that Husk had practically come running from the other room had to count for something. And the way Husk kept glancing at Angel from the corner of his eye as if hoping for more.
Later, he felt a sneeze coming on and he tried stifling it, pinching his nose with two fingers. “Hhhh’gnxt!”
Husk looked at him like he had three heads. “What’d you do that for?“
“It’s pretty late and the bar can get kind of echoey - I was just trying to be quieter so I didn’t wake anyone up is all.”
“Screw the rest of them,” Husk replied fervently. “Take care of yourself. That looked like it hurt.”
“It did, yeah.” No more stifles, then. “Thanks, Hu-hu… huh… Huh’TCHIEW! Husk. Thanks, Husk.”
Husk smiled. “Much better.” Hmmm, yeah, Angel was adding that to the list of “evidence that Husk is totally into sneezing”.
His next opportunity was a fortuitous one. Charlie brought him hand soap as a gift, offering that “everyone deserves to smell nice, and I’m guessing your hands could get quite unpleasant after work.” It was a nice sentiment, but peppermint really didn’t agree with him. Specifically, with his nose. Normally he would have flat out refused, but this time he had a plan.
Right before he and Husk went to get intimate, he went to wash his hands as usual. But this time he pulled out the soap he’d been hiding for this occasion. It only took one good sniff and soon his hands were no longer clean. “Heh’ITSCHH! TCHHH! Hit’CHIEW! ATSCHHH! Heh’huh’hih’HitSCHIEW! Heh’IT’shue! Heh’it’SHUE! Hah’TCHH! Hetschh! Itschhhh! Snff….”
Husk made it to the bathroom just as the fit subsided. “Woah there Angel, what happened?”
“Ugh, id’s the soap,” he pointed weakly. All that sneezing had taken a bit more out of him than he expected. “Forgot I was allergic to peppermint.”
“Let’s get that off your hands, then,” Husk said gently, taking the soap. Angel didn’t catch where Husk put it, but it didn’t look like Husk was taking it to the trash. Another addition to the list then, for sure.
He came back a moment later, as Angel was washing the soap (and snot) off his hands. “Ugh, sorry I’m such a mess,” Angel said.
“You are not a mess, Angel. You are beautiful,” Husk said, gently lifting Angel’s chin.
“Thanks. But I did still make a mess…” He gestured toward the mirror coated in spray, and the wet patches on his own chest.
Husk chuckled. “I suppose you did. We can clean that later. How are you feeling?”
Angel rubbed his nose. “A little sniffly, but otherwise ok. Not sure how long it’ll take the effect of the peppermint to fully wear off.”
There was a pause, and Angel could see Husk’s mind working, probably doing a cost benefit analysis in his head. “No worries if you’re not up for it, but do you think you have the energy? You know, for what we were about to start?”
“Sure, but I should warn you… I can’t promise I won’t start sneezing again.”
“Don’t worry about it,” he replied. “I’ve dealt with worse,” he added, almost as an afterthought. Maybe to cover up his enjoyment? This whole incident was the strongest evidence of all.
Angel had thought that sneezing during sex would give him more proof that Husk was into it, but in reality it was impossible to distinguish moans of pleasure about sex from moans of pleasure about sneezing. What he did know was that the one time Angel had accidentally sneezed on Husk, the man had carried on enthusiastically as if nothing had happened. So that actually did count as more damning evidence, although all it proved for sure was that Husk wasn’t disgusted by Angel sneezing on him.
By now, Angel was quite convinced that Husk was into sneezing. The only problem now was how to get him to admit it. Right before sex would have been the obvious time, but Husk hadn’t said anything then. He could offer to dust the place? No, Nifty had that covered. What options were even left? He turned over the question in his mind, but nothing came up.
A few days later, Angel woke up with a raging head cold, and a plan emerged. After Husk had had plenty of time to fuss over his symptoms, he went into another room and placed a call, making sure Husk was still in earshot. “Yeah I’m free today. How about… Heh’ITCSCCH! Haha, yeah, you’re welcome. How about this afternoon? Ok perfect, see you then!”
“Going somewhere?” Husk asked, entering the room.
“Oh, yeah, just a quick work thing. I should be back pretty soon.”
Husk stared at him. “You are NOT working today.” It was not an observation, but a demand.
“I’ll be fine, I’m not even that sick.” A few stray sneezes immediately undercut that point.
“You are not working today. Whatever it is can wait until you’re feeling better.”
“Ok, but actually it can’t. That’s, um… kind of the whole point.”
“What?”
“This person has a sneezing kink. They want to see me when I’m all sick.”
Husk stared. “They want to see you… they want you to… what?”
It hadn’t escaped Angel’s notice that Husk had avoided saying the word “sneeze”. Twice in fact. Guilty! “It’s no big deal, I just have to hang out with the… he… heh… het’SCHH! Them and sneeze for a bit, then I can come back right home to you. Easy money, and I barely even have to do anything!” He grinned.
“You are not working today,” Husk insisted for the third time. Only this time, it sounded a little more like begging.
“I don’t see what the big deal is,” Angel continued, determined to wring the confession out of Husk through sheer stubbornness. “I won’t be gone long, and it’s not like I’m so sick I need bed rest.”
Husk frowned, trying to come up with a rebuttal. “Can’t I just want you to stay with me? Isn’t that enough?” The frustration was clear on his face.
Wow, an admission of feelings! Not quite the confession Angel was waiting for, but progress nonetheless. “Of course you can, Husk,” Angel said, taking his hand gently. “I’m just confused because you’ve literally never given me this much pushback about going out before. Is there something you want to tell me?”
“No,” Husk said a little too quickly. “There’s nothing.”
“Oh, but I think there is,” Angel replied, a smug grin forming. “Is it possible that you’re jealous?”
“Of what? I’ve never had a problem with your work before.”
“Therein lies the question,” Angel returned, pacing. “Whatever could have poor Husker all worked up?”
As luck would have it, Angel felt a sneeze coming on. He leaned into all the hitching breaths, taking note of Husk’s laser focus. And then, the urge faded away. “Ugh, the sneeze went away. Such a shame, isn’t it?” Husk remained motionless. “Hmmm, I know what to do. Stay here, I’ll be right back.”
“What? Where are you…”Angel returned with the soap, which he had found underneath the sink as he suspected. “Angel, what are you doing? No!” But it was too late. Angel took a deep sniff, maintaining firm eye contact.
The effects were as intense as they were predictable. Countless sneezes barreled their way out of Angel for what felt like eternity but was probably more like ten minutes.
“Now then,” Angel said, staring directly at the bulge that Husk could no longer hide. “Are you sure there’s nothing you want to tell me?”
Husk sighed, knowing there was no way he could prolong this. “Ok, fine. You win. I like it when you… when you… goddamnit why is this so hard to say? I like it when you sneeze. And that’s why I want you to stay home today. Happy now?”
“Of course! I believe I have an appointment to cancel then, since it’s been replaced by time with my won… wuh… uh… uh’TSCCHH! My wonderful partner.”

Am I Fu**ing Insane !?!
A multi chapter adventure in Astarion's mind
Chapter 2 - +As if I had been kissed by mint leaves all over+
Rating: eventually Explicit but just a lot of mind tease so far.
Word count count: 2.3k
Pairings: Astarion X OFC Tav
AO3 link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/54356776/chapters/137824306
I have a quite serious praise kink. Which also means compliments in the forms of tags and/or comments might very well spur me to write and post more
Teaser:
In an exasperated sigh he breathes in again and all the effort he put into keeping lucid since he got back into her room is crashing down upon him. The nauseatingly spiced mix of wine and flowers assaulting his senses once again, and her breath caressing his face as he just now realises he must have leaned in without thinking. *As if she’s not been a damned little inconvenience already!* But that’s when she begins stirring and the image of the moment when he was just that close to her a few hours prior, flashes in his mind again. Her warm fingers on the back of his neck as traitors ready to find a spot to bury a dagger *I should know! I’ve played this game before, you hussy! better than you ever will!* Those fingers seemingly trying to grasp at him just before a soft whiff of that intoxicating scent escaped her lips when she hummed, barely intelligible: Stay.
Chapter Two - *as if I had been kissed by mint leaves all over*
Notes: *Astarion's Thoughts* +quotes from her journal+ "audible dialogue" -remarks-
aul iasa nha tho is Elvish for "in vino veritas", otherwise said "In wine there's truth" or the general idea that people are much more guileless when intoxicated.
He must’ve read those pages so many times that it’s surprising how they have not been worn out. And the fact he doesn’t technically need to sleep surely hasn’t helped the surprise quickly turn to addiction.
*How could I have not noticed?!*
The tightly kept book gave him more access to her mind, her actual thoughts, that any connection the worms might have forced them to share, and that’s likely why everyone promptly agreed to stay out of everyone’s business for the time being. And it wasn’t quite like he meant to break that deal, he was just severely unprepared for what he had found in that insignificant shiny little volume. All handwritten. By her.
Along with the odd note of information gathered during the last few days, the pages were filled mostly with just her reflections, clearly never intended for eyes that were not her own deep ones, eyes he never felt lingering on him more than the time it was necessary to be called for duty, to be addressed as politely as an accidentally forced companionship put them together. And he was supposed to know, to see, to read people and understand how to play them as if fiddling with an instrument he himself had built from scratch! The countless souls he alone had enticed and played every key, including -especially- the dark, heavy ones. Then how could he have missed the eyes she had been looking at him with? How could he have missed the intention? How could she have walked this earth without a tenth of the time he had and compete with his own ability to mask and dissipate any impression of sentiment or feeling?
He started to genuinely wonder if there could have been a mistake, perhaps she had been keeping the little metallic book for someone else *and yet I saw her and her damned quill on it! I saw her unimpressed and vacant eyes!* while clearly less than a day ago her thoughts must have been so focused on him they should have burnt a hole in his back:
+I cannot cope with the heart rending clench, from my stomach to the tip of my hair, diffusing a cold, quivering heat as if I had been kissed by mint leaves all over in just a moment, every time his voice pours, like honey, into my ears+
He found himself catching breath he didn’t need for hours, disgusted surely by the idea that she kept him in her mind so often, yet compelled to scrutinise every single line, with no chance to concede that even just one word she spent on him could have gone amiss. He had dozens of pages to commit to memory before sunrise, now that his plans toward individual freedom had suddenly fallen apart. There was no tadpole solution, no way to charm and dominate the worms, nothing to guarantee he could remain himself while still feeling the warmth of the sun on his skin.
*Nothing to guarantee the warmth of her skin if her thoughts get consumed until there’s nothing left of her*
And he has to shake his head physically from the thought because *why!? Why would she be the issue now!?* when he has his own thoughts, his own brain to worry about, his own survival as the only thing that has kept him unnaturally alive for over two centuries, well before she was barely an idea in her parent’s minds!
His arm pulls back and the book’s metallic cover hits the door he’s still sitting against. He should be throwing it with such force that would destroy that little insignificant piece of paper conjuring all kinds of soft, enticing visions, while none will help with their shared issue: they are all on borrowed time.
+it was a good delusion of power, as if anyone could really be just... So mature for their age... But that's another story, I don't like the stories of my memories, read in hindsight…+
And that’s what froze him in place. She doesn’t spell it out but just reading the words pulls his stomach just the same, he knows that feeling, the lulling comfort that the idea of pleasing a tyrant and taking each beating as a compliment will do. His eyes close and this time the little precious book is brought to his chest, just where his heart last beat all those centuries ago. And his tintless eyebrows furrow, his usually graceful traits tighten in what is almost a grimace, teeth clenching as his head shakes once more, but this time it’s because his own memories made stories out of his delusions of power, when no matter the amount of sacrifices he brought back every night, neither his body nor his mind were spared the abuse and humiliations from his cruel Master. Cazador’s looming body flashes behind his tightened eyes.
*Fourth: thou shalt know that thou art mine.*
The rules of his master played like an obsessive charm in his head over and over, and then it’s kinder, it’s easier to embrace what felt like the only power he had, seducing and pleasing whilst hoping for the lesser beating.
It does not matter that air is not needed now, because the sharp intakes cut through his lips and down to the bottom of his lungs, and his lips pull almost as if from muscle memory and like he so often did before. To please and appease him, to make the punishment shorter and numbing his own mind for longer.
And all of a sudden it all stops. His arms feel as if they are strained by efforts he does not recall, the heavy door behind his back certainly not as comfortable as the bed in front of him and
*oh yes, the little useless book*
The book that gave him no more freedom he had the night before. He would throw it mindlessly but his hand finds a way to just leave it to rest on the floor, while with an agile movement he’s back on his feet, and in a moment he’s theatrically falling on the bed, face hitting the pillows first, and a long unnecessary breath empties his lungs with the last remnants of something that reminds him of mulled wine and flowers.
—-----------
The noise of boots outside snaps him out of his trance just when the last of the candles must have burnt out as a swirl of smoke still rises in the otherwise darkened room. Voices muffled behind the door tell him his companions are only now getting to their beds which means not much will be expected of him that morning.
*Thank fuck!*
His arms move the pillow around to bury his face onto it and hoping to fall into trance again when a deeper sigh rises from his chest, and he knows. He knows what he has to do to avoid any consequences to befall upon him. Never before a sleight of hand has failed him so spectacularly and now he's not only stuck with the merry fellowship of warmbloods ignorami
*no closer to understand and control the worm in my head*
but now with the knowledge that their pretty, little accidental leader has had her eyes fixed on him way more often than he ever realised.
*Shit… does she know?*
And with that thought he rolls on his back, the crook of his elbow sheltering his eyes and with a final exasperated sigh he pulls himself up. Even in the darkened room he can see the metallic cover trying its best to reflect whatever resemblance of light it can catch. His long, delicate fingers pick it up and he finds himself almost laughing at himself
*You thought this was going to be your freedom and now you're just more chained to her them*
Of course he's just stuck being a monster, what did he expect? He gathers the book in his hands and not far, discarded by the door, he finds the small lock, the mockery of having to use his lockpicking skills to put it back together does not escape him.
Once the lock is back in place there’s only one thing left to do. His resignation has almost taken over if it wasn’t for that tinge just at the bottom of his stomach that wishes for him to destroy the book, destroy the room and have splinters find their way under his skin so that maybe, hopefully, the pain will take his attention away from the spectacular failure he is.
*serves me well for conceding anything to hope*
In a flash he’s out of his door, gliding through the shadows. The corridor should simply bow to his graceful presence as he approaches her room. Again.
His hand pushes the door slightly and in a moment he’s in, this time making sure the lock is turned just to avoid any sudden interruption, and within a few seconds his senses are assaulted once again by that scent that makes him feel both a drunkard and abstinent by necessity more than choice. A sigh is the loudest noise he allows himself to make as he exhales: the less he has her scent in his lungs, the easier it will be to ignore it.
Her breath is deep and regular which gives him information enough to carefully reach for her bedside table where her bag was discarded, and indeed, it’s still there waiting for him, half open. The little book still in his hand and he’s just about to place it back there
*Like absolutely nothing ever happened*
And in that moment he realises, as soon as it’s back, it’s gone. His one window to her unadulterated thoughts is gone. The one access he has ever had to someone, anyone’s actual idea of him that wasn’t serving a purpose or trying to extort something from him. If her behaviour had fooled him so completely then it was reasonable to consider the possibility she never intended to act upon any of her reflections, and the book held so many he found himself cursing the fact his elven life ended earlier and lasted much less than his immortal one, before he could learn how to commit to memory more enduringly that the last few hours perusing the little tome allowed him.
*nasty little tease! letting my mind slip that far back!*
His head shakes slightly and a bitter smile pulls the corner of his lips. There’s no point crying over spilled milk again. His hand doesn’t even touch the bag, but the book is back in it, as if it never left. With his body crouched next to bed he can see the look on her face, the look of someone who has really been peacefully resting for the last few hours, completely and utterly unaware about how she has taken that peace almost directly from him: he should have rested, he should have gone hunting and the mere thought reminds him of that dry, stinging feeling in his throat. But instead of satiating his hunger, gaining any ounce of strength back, any semblance of mortality, he just wasted the entire night on that vexatious little book that she guarded so intensely for absolutely no reason.
*Nothing no one of value in it!*
*As if she’s not been a damned little inconvenience already!*
But that’s when she begins stirring and the image of the moment when he was just that close to her a few hours prior, flashes in his mind again. Her warm fingers on the back of his neck as traitors ready to find a spot to bury a dagger
*I should know! I’ve played this game before, you hussy! better than you ever will!*
Those fingers seemingly trying to grasp at him just before a soft whiff of that intoxicating scent escaped her lips when she hummed, barely intelligible: Stay.
And she might just have given him an excellent solution. Out of that image it finally dawns on him:
*For all she knows, I have never left*
As if the mystification of the last hours had never happened, he can just slip back into the flirtatious role that she last remembers, and at that, he whisks himself up and his leg gracefully drapes over hers so that in the next moment his body is now behind hers, without so much as a breath *or heartbeat* skipped on her part. She wanted him to stay didn’t she? In hindsight it’s just like they say *aul iasa nha tho in vino veritas*. And now her tipsiness really reads as someone’s infatuation, he had confirmation from her own well guarded thoughts, her fingers and heart committing words to paper that would have kept being nothing but denied by the demeanour she carries herself with, except for last night.
*And isn’t it going to be a delight to coax the truth out of her own lips, when I already know I have her protection, before I even had a chance to persuade her so*
That is the first time the realisation dawns on him: no matter how well she hides her feelings, he is already under her skin, there is nothing that he can’t convince strangers to give him, the knowledge that
+he’s on my mind, really almost all the time+
And *oh! What a terribly applicative concession!* He knows, before he even thought to strike, that he will hit the target in the perfect bull’s eye. The attainment of that awareness almost lets him enjoy, for the first time, fully, completely, the exhilarating aroma that she emanates, because in due time, understanding how that little precious tome has opened her mind, her actual mind, to him, he now knows.
Before he has to ask.
He will taste her.
Because she already says yes to him in every thought of hers he occupies.

Dream a little dream of me
Tristan Thorn x reader
Notes: This is my first time writing for Tristan. I hope I've done him justice. But when @itwasthereaminuteago sent the ask, I couldn't say no. Thank you for the ask, hun 💜
Warnings: None. Pure fluff, although there is very little spice sprinkled over it.
Days like these were your favorite. Nothing much to do, but you got to spend it with your favorite person in the whole world. Ever since childhood, you and Tristan had been inseparable, doing everything together. Even if it was something as simple as laying in the grassy fields together, watching the clouds drift by. There wasn’t always much to do in Wall, but you did quite enjoy watching the clouds, dreaming.
“Doesn’t those skies look like someone kissing?” Tristan points excitedly at another small cloud formation. You can easily see it, nodding in agreement.
“I do see it. Reminds me of a dream I had a few nights ago.” You smile at the memory, still remembering one of the best dreams you’ve ever had.
Out of the corner of your eye, you see Tristan look at you with a wide grin. “I also had a dream like that, but I want to hear yours first.” Teasingly, he pokes at your side. “I want to know who can make you smile like that.”
You don’t even dare answer, cause how do you even tell your best friend that it was him you dreamt about? His mouth against yours in a passionate kiss. His hands exploring parts of your body you only want him to touch. Your skirt pushed up over your hips, Tristan’s fingers traveling up your inner thigh towards-
Shaking your head, you try to seem indifferent, knowing very well how red your face must be. “It’s nothing. Tell me about your dream instead.” You smile, doing your best to lie convincingly.
“If you insist.” He frowns a bit, probably not buying your poor excuse. But he doesn’t push it, just getting more comfortable in the tall grass as he looks up at the sky. “I dreamt I kissed you. It was at the harvest dance, and we’ve had too much ale. You asked me to dance and then… I kissed you.”
”You… dreamt about kissing me?” You can barely form the words, let alone believe them. For years, you’ve had a small hope that one day Tristan would realize that Victoria didn’t care about him. Not like you did. In fact, you had been hopelessly in love with him, but he never saw it because of her. But he dreamt about kissing you, so that must surely mean something. Right?
Tristan turns to you, a small nervous smile forming on his lips, those perfect pink lips you’ve dream about kissing more times than you could count. “Yeah, okay, so what if I dreamt about kissing you?” He shrugs, pushing up onto one elbow, looking down on you, one finger swirling around in the grass. “Don’t we all do that to our best friend?”
Just when you think he can’t get any more adorable, he has to look at you like that. His beautiful hazel eyes, so innocent, so oblivious to the desire he awakens in you.
“No, Tristan.”
“No? What do you mean ’no’?” He smiles nervously, swallowing hard as you look deeply into his eyes, wondering if you should just give hell to it all and finally kiss him. There’s nothing you want more, but you’re afraid he’ll never look at you that way again. But wouldn’t you rather know now if he feels the same, than spend more years wondering?
“I mean… I’ve never dreamt about kissing Clara. Or Yvette. But…” You look away, just for a moment, trying to settle your nerves. Here goes nothing. “I’ve dreamt about kissing you too, Tristan. But not-”
You pause, feeling like you’re on fire under his gaze. Tristan gently takes your hand, the warmth of it bringing your gaze back to his. “Not what?”
“B-but not as a friend.” You breathe out, looking into his eyes as his mouth drops open. He just stares at you, unable to form any words. Maybe he’s shocked, maybe he just doesn’t know how to tell you he doesn’t feel the same. But before he can regain his thoughts, your hand flies up to cup his cheek gently. “I think… I know… that I’m in love with you.”
When he still doesn’t answer, you fear you blew it all. But all you can think about is blurting it all out, getting it all on the table.
“You don’t have to say anything. Or even feel the same way. I know you’ve always been in love with Victoria, but she really isn’t good for you.” You ramble, unable to stop again, too mortified in yourself to even look at Tristan. “You deserve someone good. Someone who loves you. Not someone who just-”
His lips on yours stop you. It must be a dream, but it’s not. Tristan is hovering over you ever so slightly, one hand cupping your cheek so gently almost as if he fears you might break. His hazel eyes find yours and in that moment, it is as if time stands still.
“Truth is” He finally speaks, smiling nervously as he tries to find the right words. “It’s always been you. For as long as I can remember, it was you in my dreams.”
“But… Victoria?”
“Let’s be honest. Your father has never been fond of me, knowing you deserved better. And…” He pauses, stopping you gently when you move to make a rebuttal. “I always knew you were too good for this place. That you’d leave Wall one day. You’re destined for more and I won’t be the reason that-”
This time is you stopping his ramble with a kiss. This one deeper and more passionate than the first. Timidly, his hand moved to your waist pulling you a little closer. It’s not much, but the feeling of his body against yours make you feel on fire, every part of you screaming for more. Just as you move to deepen the kiss, Tristan pulls away, resting his forehead against yours.
“Trust me, love, there’s nothing I want more than…” He stops, grinning from ear to ear. “But I won’t give your father another reason to dislike me. Let’s do this right. I… I wanna court you. Properly. If you’ll have me.”
With tears swelling in your eyes, you giggle, still unable to believe this isn’t a dream. “There’s nothing I want more.” Peppering him with soft kisses to his cheeks and lips, you feel happier than you’ve felt your whole life. Sometimes dreams do come true.

Just saw your answer. Can I ask, why do you love Haikyuu, All for the Game, and Throne of Glass? I think those 3 media are unique (because they're so different from each other) and I love to read your writings.
Hey! :)
Of course you can ask!
I know, they're all super different; it's weird.
Starting with Throne of Glass - I love the growth of the whole book series a a whole? In both the characters but also the writing itself.
You can really tell that SJM was young when she started writing it, and I think it's fun to see how her writing evolves with time.
(Fun fact - I couldn't finish the first one when I picked it up the first time. I thought it was horrible. I gave it another chance after reading ACOTAR though, and everyone is right: It does get so much better. Now I think it's cool to compare the writing in the first book to the writing in the last one.)
I like the storyline, and I LOVE the characters. I think every single character is well-rounded. They're flawed and they all learn and grow.
I also have to say that by now, I prefer ToG to ACOTAR because, well. The first three books were great! After that it felt like they solely existed for smut purposes. Not that there's anything wrong with that - it's just not my cup of tea.
In Throne of Glass you did have some scenes that bordered on spice, but it felt fitting. Like it was there for a reason - a natural continuation of the characters becoming intimate with each other both physically and mentally. It didn't feel like there was smut just for the sake of it being there, if that makes sense?
In general I just felt like the characters and their interactions and relationships felt very natural to me.
As for All for the Game - I mean.
I was part of the fandom when we were still 20 people and a cardboard cutout, you know? There were very few of us, but we loved those books fiercely. And as there was barely any fan-content out there at the time, we had to go out and make it ourselves.
I met some people in that time that I will never forget - people I wish all the happiness in the world for, even if we don't talk anymore.
I also met one of my best friends through those books. Now imagine - this was almost ten years ago, and this year, she officiated my wedding.
So those books will always, always be special to me.
As for the story itself - I had no idea what I was about to read at the time. Someone on tumblr recommended them to me and she generally had great taste, so I tried them. I mean, if she had told me I was about to read "Sports Manga Goes to America And Also The Mafia Shows Up" it might have stayed on my to-read list forever.
It does sound pretty ridiculous.
But this whole theme of all these damaged kids coming together and having to figure things out together, and helping each other heal?
That kinda gets me everytime, and Nora did it especially well.
It was like, never once was an issue talked about like it meant nothing. People tend to handle trauma like it comes with an expiration date, you know? Like there is just a certain point after which you're expected to be over it.
Well, some things you don't get over. Ever. And they get easier to deal with, with the right tools. And the right people. But that doesn't make them lesser-than. I think that's a theme that just spoke to me.
Also, I mean, the whole relationship between Neil and Andrew. I mean. Yeah. Perfection.
As for Haikyuu - which is perhaps my oddest choice, and also my latest obsession...
I went into expecting nothing. I knew it was a sports anime that people talked about a few years ago, and I always meant to check it out, but never got around to it.
And then it was on Netflix, and I thought, hey, y'know what, I haven't watched any good animes lately.
Look, I didn't go into it expecting to cry because Hinata managed to receive a stupid ball. I didn't expect to cry because of "thanks for getting me into volleyball."
I may have expected crying about "It's time I became an ace. Period." if I'd known it was coming, but I DIDN'T SO THERE'S THAT.
Thing is, I cannot, for the live of me, think of a single character I don't like. There are characters I really wanted to not like (I'm so sorry Tendo, you deserved better) and characters I am still midly annoyed by (look as hilarious as that snake guy was he was just in too many scenes, okay. I had the same problem with him that I had with the one guy from Laketown in The Hobbit 3. You know which one I'm talking about. Like three main characters DIED and you didn't get to mourn them because apparently an executive decision was made to underminde that tragedy by forcing a guy to wear a dress and expect the audience to laugh at that.
It's been years. I am still bitter.)
(Ahem.)
But yes, I just love every single character so, so much. They're all so intricate with their own desires and flaws and dreams and ways of thinking. I rarely even liked a main character as much as I love Hinata.
I love the relationship each team displays among its members. I love their dynamics. I love the dynamics the teams have amongst each other.
Ah - another scene that had me choking back tears. Daichi's and Kuroo's hug. I mean. After all those "I'm going to break your hand"-handshakes?? Yeah, there were tears.
Haikyuu might not have the depth that for example Throne of Glass has when it comes to its plot, but that's not necessary - it wins in other aspects.
I'm telling you that when I'm having a Bad Day (capital letters necessary), Haikyuu is a show that will cheer me up. Sometimes it doesn't need much. Sometimes a few dorks with a volleyball will do. It's just a very feel-good show - or a feel-good manga series of course.
So I guess, maybe these three things aren't completely different - they all overlap in the part that matters most to me: people finding each other. Strangers becoming a team, a family, and choosing to help each other through life.
Found family, man. That will never not get me.

shoutout to my three friends who are equally unwell over trigun and infinite blue. this one's for u. it's so so incredibly niche but the ones who get it, get it. taking some inspiration from the current obsession and throwing some faves in to spice it up. tobias, rory and dear reader just out in some post apocalyptic western landscape fighting for their lives against a notorious gang of gunmen. very very loosely inspired by the vash, wolfwood, and meryl dynamic. insert blood and thunder from 98 trigun soundtrack here. anyway enjoy the result of my late night brainrot and screaming over tasty fanart. cw for guns and some mild violence !
The sun sat high over the rolling dunes of sand, bearing down heavily on the unfortunate souls traversing the uneven ground. This time of year made that unforgiving heat feel all the more powerful as it threatened to burn the exposed arms leaning atop the side of the oversized car. Tobias had one arm resting where the window had once been and the other lazily sitting on the steering wheel, barely moving it as the car sped across the dunes. The car wasn't all that old, but it had seen its fair share of gun fights and fast escapes. There had once been a time when all of humanity wasn't on the brink of extinction, not fighting tooth and nail just to keep its cities from falling to ruin. But those times were no longer. Now, bands of desperate individuals were wreaking havoc and robbing innocents for all they were worth. Wanted posters were plastered over tavern walls, countless bounties out for whoever could drag their bodies back—dead or alive. Tobias' face had long been drawn to perfect likeness over the browned parchment. The bounty he'd amassed for himself, however, was not for pillaging and stealing from the bar owners who housed him on long journeys nor did he use his gun for unjust means. Rather, Tobias had garnered himself somewhat of a Robin Hood-esque reputation; he stole what had already been stolen and gave it back to the people. But when those who had stolen not only money, but also power, found themselves reaping the benefits of their greed, their first course of action was to bring down the man responsible for their shortcomings in whatever way possible. For anyone else it might have damaged their spirit, but Tobias cared too much for his cause to let a bounty on his head sway him. Especially now that he no longer travelled alone.
Months ago he'd been a lone soul going from town to town with little but the clothes on his back for company. Until he'd met you. A city native confined by circumstance who saw his freedom as a symbol of hope. All it had taken was one quiet conversation under the moonlight, aided by Tobias' slight inebriation, for you to be taken under his wing and brought along for the ride. His way of living brought uncertainty and risk; danger and threat becoming a constant friend looming over your shoulder. But you wouldn't change anything for the world. Not when it took you to the most remote corners of the planet. Even if that meant driving across the desert in the middle of summer with a broken cooling system. Tobias had tried to fix it once, but somehow made it worse. Since then, you'd taken the executive decision to ban Tobias from any kind of technical repair work. It was for the best. So long as the car held up long enough to get to the next town over, that was all you cared about.
"It's too hot," Tobias whined, leaning his head to rest atop your shoulder. You could feel the car jolt with his movements, hitting a slight bump in the sand. If it weren't for the fact there was no one around for miles you might have panicked a little more. Tobias' driving was a little less than careful out in the middle of nowhere.
"Hey, eyes on the road. Sand. You know what I mean," you said with a playful push against his head. Tobias sluggishly dragged himself back up, a sulking pout on his face as he scowled at you.
"If you let me fix the fans maybe I wouldn't be almost collapsing in the car. I don't see you volunteering to drive in my stead." His tone was light and teasing, not really meaning the words he said. He just knew it'd spark a reaction.
A bemused laugh left your lips, watching Tobias reach for his sunglasses. "First off, collapsing? Sure thing, bud. Secondly, the last time I offered to drive you told me off and made me sit in the back seat. Only got yourself to blame there."
"Because you had just gotten shot! You were bleeding out and insisting on driving! What did you expect me to do?"
"You said no driving then so I'm just doing as I was told," you said, folding your arms across your chest and closing your eyes. Tobias sighed, admitting his defeat. He might like to push back sometimes, but he really he was rather soft at heart. He liked your company more than he cared to admit, even if that meant being the one to drive uneven terrain in the scorching heat.
An hour later and your destination was finally in sight. The town stood like an oasis under the afternoon sun, the promise of food and, hopefully, fresh water an irresistible temptation luring you in. By the time Tobias had parked up under a shaded canopy and got out to make a point of stretching his legs, you were eager to see exactly where he'd taken you to. The town was another new venture to add to your list, its buildings and architecture looking similar enough to everywhere else you'd travelled that it felt familiar. Though it certainly seemed livelier than the previous destination had been. It wasn't quite a thriving city, but there was still life here. Still the teeming buzz of humanity clinging on to its home. Curious eyes followed you walking side-by-side with Tobias, some going wide in recognition and others scrutinising you both for intruding on this peaceful little town. There was no telling how situations like this would go. Either you'd leave unscathed with no one looking to take Tobias' bounty for themselves, or there'd be guns shooting from all over as you made a run for the car and made your escape. The last few escapades had been mostly uneventful, but there was no room to let one's guard down. Especially not when there was a stranger shrouded in a cloud of smoke leaning against the wall of a busy sounding bar. Dark sunglasses rested atop his nose, and his hair was a bright shade of red despite being muted in the shade. You could feel his gaze even as you looked away, as if he perhaps knew something you didn't. It wasn't a nice feeling.
"Hey, Tobias. Don't be obvious about it, but there's a guy over there looking our way. You think he's trouble?"
Tobias spared a glance, the concern in his face turning to a grimace. "Yes. But not the kind of trouble you're thinking of. Come on." Tobias reached for your wrist, pulling you in the direction of the mysterious stranger. Your attempts to ask for any semblance of clarity were ignored, Tobias' grasp warm and unmoving.
Up close, the stranger looked even more displeased. Someone had clearly pissed in his cereal this morning—if the deadpan look of repugnance was anything to go by. "Brave of you to show your face here," he drawled, the toothpick between his teeth moving with each word he spoke.
"Why? You looking to try and break it?" Tobias asked, an easy grin stretching his face as he leaned against an old and rusting motorbike.
"Not at all. Looks like you want to break my bike though. Move your ass." Whatever relationship Tobias held with this man it was certainly not friendship.
"You sure it's worth caring that much about this thing? Looks one wrong move away from falling apart."
The stranger looked almost bored as he uttered, voice completely toneless, "You're right. And I'm looking right at the wrong move in question."
You watched as Tobias' face dropped its lazy smile and jumped to hold an arm over his chest. "Settle down, boys. I'd prefer to not have to coddle Tobias for getting his ass kicked five minutes after arriving."
The stranger scoffed, raising an eyebrow as his eyes fell to yours. "Good luck with that. You know what kind of bounty your friend has over his head, right? And that the man who's hellbent on having him killed lives in this very town?"
Your eyes went wide, head snapping to see Tobias looking meek. He'd kept that one quiet. Before you could get any kind of explanation, the stranger looked elsewhere, tutting as he gestured for the two of you to follow him. Wariness stayed your steps until you felt a reassuring hand at your shoulder. Tobias might not have a gleaming friendship with this stranger but he clearly trusted him. And that was enough for you. For now, at least.
He'd sat the three of you in the corner of the bar, tucked away to preserve whatever privacy you could garner. There was enough bustle and energy to hide your voices under, with no obvious lingering looks from particular patrons. It seemed you and Tobias were going to have to play it safer here than you'd first thought. From what the stranger, whose name you now knew to be Rory, had said, Tobias' reputation here was notorious. The common people of the town knew him for his true intentions, having been first aided by him long ago. But equally there were many out for the bounty—not to mention the personal vendetta a local leader had for him after Tobias had not only stolen a good portion of his fortune from him, but also played a hand in making a public scene mocking him. Needless to say, those who disliked Tobias, really despised him. And would do almost anything to see his head in their hands. Such an outcome wouldn't exactly be ideal, so you could only hope it wouldn't come down to that. Stealing glances around the bar didn't offer much insight as to whether the wrong individuals had recognised Tobias. The revelry all seemed normal enough. But there was no telling how the day might turn. It was, after all, still bright and busy enough outside that he would be easily recognisable in the daylight—even if the crowds might help conceal him.
"Look, if I were you I'd get yourself out of here as soon as possible. Before you draw any more attention to yourself. News travels fast here," Rory warned, fingers playing with the glass at his hand. He hadn't taken a sip of the misty water. It was probably for the best.
"You worry too much, Rory. That's all in the past, I'm sure no one remembers or cares for something so trivial." Tobias laughed, waving off Rory's apparent concern. Rory scoffed, readying to quip back at Tobias' easiness when a piercing shout brought all chatter in the bar to a close. If it weren't for the remnants of Tobias' laugh, you could've heard a pin drop with the stunned silence that fell. Another shout sounded—a command to fight. The peace had well and truly shattered as your eyes landed on the group of men weaving through the bar tables.
"Tobias," you uttered, moving to rise from your seat. "Time to move."
He raised a brow, nonchalance smoothing his features. "Don't act guilty and they won't come for you." As soon as the words left his lips, a call of his name set Tobias' eyes wide. "On second thought, I think I've had enough to drink here."
Rory scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Look at that, I was right."
"I don't care who was right or wrong, I care about not getting my head blown off," you grumbled, eyeing up the best possible escape route as your pursuers came ever closer. Gaze landing on the window, you saw Tobias already running to jump through the small gap, his legs getting caught on the window frame and sending him tumbling onto the dusty sand below. For a wanted man, he wasn't exactly the dastardly delinquent that the rumours might have painted him out to be. He wasn't quite so talented on his feet as he was with a gun and it didn't exactly help with making a swift escape. In a split second, you and Rory shared a look of exasperation with your companion before following suit and climbing through the open window, landing on your feet in a manner much more becoming than Tobias had. It was then, as Tobias finished dusting off his shirt that the first gunshot sounded, glass shattering along with it. You needed to find cover, and fast.
Rory called for you and Tobias to follow him, leading you both through the backroads of town. Gunshots and shouting could be heard coming from the bar, but there was telling where others might by lying in wait. Your hand was resting at the hilt of your gun, ready to pull it out at a moment's notice. It had taken some getting used to, wielding a gun and shooting to defend yourself, but with Tobias at your side it became less and less scary each time. He never shot to kill. Only to deter pursuers or injure them at most, but only as a last minute resort. A gunshot fired, deflecting off a broken lamp post. One quick glance was enough to see that you had company. You readied your gun to aim, delayed only by the sight of Tobias already sending a bullet in their direction, knocking your pursuer's gun out of his hand.
"Got a plan, Rory?" He shouted, the three of you picking up the pace.
"I don't know, get out of here alive, maybe?!" An excellent plan, really. One you hoped to follow. Even if it was easier said than done. Rory slowed his pace, crouching behind the wall of a worn-down house. He'd avoided the busy clearing and managed to buy a few moments to plan the best route of escape.
"On the count of three, I want you to charge out there and shoot. Keep their focus on you. But don't die. Or get injured. I don't want any of you bleeding out on my bike."
"I'm sorry, did I hear that right? Your bike? You really think all three of us will fight on that thing?" You asked, incredulous. Rory's motorbike had looked like it'd seen better days. It barely looked like it could support one person let alone three.
"It's all just a means to an end. I start up the bike, we find whatever rundown motor you drove to town on and we get out of here."
Tobias shrugged. "Works for me. Do first, think later." He reached a hand out for your wrist and bolted with no hesitation. The gunmen shouted Tobias' name, calling for reinforcements as they aimed. The crowds had since dissipated and the townsfolk all seemed to have hidden away in their homes or in the shadows out of harm's way. The last thing you wanted was for anyone to get caught up in this unnecessarily. Your back was at Tobias', taking aim to disarm anyone in Tobias' blind spots as he did the same for you. You were a force of nature, an unstoppable duo completely honed in on the task at hand. Soon, the revving of a motorbike echoed from across the way, Rory's bright red hair gleaming under the sun as he tried to get it started.
"Don't tell me it's given up on you now!" Tobias called out, laughing under his breath as he leaned closer to you. "Hey, you got this. We can take these guys easy." Before you could eke out a response, Rory's motorbike surged forward and he soon reached you and Tobias. Bullets reflected off the rusting metal, Rory only stopping for a quick moment to reach an arm around you and haul you up onto the back of his bike. Instinctively, your arms wrapped around his shoulders as he pulled away.
"Uh, I think you're forgetting someone."
Rory shook his head, flinching as a bullet scraped by his cheek. "Shit. That hurt. But he'll be fine. The man never misses. And he's not about to get himself killed today. I'm just getting you to the car so we can all get out of here safe and sound."
"You'll be pleased to know our car isn't rusting and falling apart. Unlike this bike of yours."
"Don't complain, it's gotten us this far," Rory quipped. Although, as if on cue, a bullet struck the rear tyre and created a nasty puncture that had Rory swerving to try and regain control. The pair of you skidded across the ground, quick to draw out your weapons and recover from the mild throbbing of pain. The car was so painfully close. There was just a few feet between you and the promise of freedom. Tobias shouted for you to run, his feet moving so fast yet so gracefully it was almost like a choreographed dance. Heeding his command, you made for the car, leaping into the driver's seat and pulling forward as fast as it would let you.
"Get ready to fish for a Tobias," you instructed, eyebrows knitted with focus. It was almost cartoonish the way you slowed the car for Rory to open the door and reach out to grab Tobias, yanking him backwards and with a force you hadn't expected from his appearance. Tobias let out a yelp as he tried, and failed, to regain his footing, landing atop Rory's lap in the passenger seat. Rory closed the door and yelled for you to hit the accelerator. If it weren't for Tobias' near maniacal laughter, you'd be teeming with stress as more bullets came flying at the back of the car, the rear windscreen cracking as you escaped.
"That was the most ridiculous thing I've ever witnessed," Rory announced, voice as expressionless as his outward appearance until the realisation set in that Tobias was still sprawled over his lap, one leg hanging out of the broken window. "Get off of me. Now."
"Would love to. But unless you want me to kick them in the head trying to climb onto the backseat, we're stuck like this," Tobias sang, leaning his head to rest on Rory who looked like he was half tempted to throw Tobias back out of the car.
"Get used to it, Rory," you called out. "He's like this 24/7."
"Can't wait." Tobias only smiled brighter up at Rory while your eyes flickered between them and the sand dunes ahead. All danger was long gone in the distance, already becoming a fading memory. With how content Tobias seemed to be, it looked like whatever business he'd had in town was either not important enough to risk being caught again or had already been seen to. A small part of you suspected he'd only wanted to return in the first place to find Rory. You didn't know exactly what kind of past they shared, but the two were clearly important to each other in some way—even if Rory looked like he might eat a fistful of sand before he admitted it. Still, the new addition felt right. Even if it'd come with no small degree of danger, this all just felt like the perfect beginning to another new adventure.

*bare with me because I'm doing this on my laptop and I have not figured out how to use emojis on here:(*
It took everything in me not to go off when I first saw that ask. Laur gave you grace because you might not have had bad intentions but I honestly do not care because most of what you said did not have to be in that ask.
"Will needs better-coping mechanisms than putting his dick in her..." I'm not going to argue with your opinion, however, I think some of you have forgotten the "fiction" part of fan fiction. It is literally fiction, its only purpose is to bring the creator's imagination to life. Y'all have to stop going into everything as if it's supposed to be real and relatable to you. Yes, there are going to be relatable elements that resonate with you and those moments are amazing, * you should cherish them by mentioning them to the writer in a reblog :' *, but that doesn't mean they're supposed to think or act the way you would. So, please remember this the next time you're reading a fic :)
"yeah it's great but communication is better." I'm excited to tell you how wrong this is (pertaining to Will and the reader's relationship ofc) because I've gushed about it to Laurie in a reblog! Will is a man of few words and throughout most of the parts what you see as regular sex scenes is actually Will communicating with the reader! It's unique to them. It's easier for them to understand what the other is thinking or how they are feeling through physical touch! We see their conversation through their pace when they are feeling rough and fast or soft and low. I haven't gotten to pt. 9 but almost always Laurie still gives us an insight into how they communicate with words! I could talk about this for hours but that isn't the point of this ask :)
Now with all of that being said, the first half of your ask was irrelevant and could have been kept to yourself or a friend if it bothered you that badly lol. You could have sent an ask saying, "I never want Breathe to end!" or "How many more chapters of Breathe are we going to get because I never want it to end?!?" and she would have loved that, but instead you decided to be an asshole :( #dobetter
Now my dear Laurie *que emoji* I am so proud of you and everything you've accomplished with not only "Breathe" but also the other stories you've so graciously shared with us!! despite this bad apple the rest of us know and appreciate how hard you work and all of the thought, care, and passion you put into your creations! You handled that anon like a true girl boss, but I don't like when people shit on my home girls so of course I had to put in my two cents :) Anywaysss I hope you have a great day girlie pop!!
Oh my dear Ray 🥹💗 you are so wise and kind and eloquent with your words.
I don't need anyone going to bat for me but please know I appreciate it all the same. I could've responded very differently to that anon but it wouldn't have done anyone any good.
I am over the moon that you continue to recognize all of the things I subtly weave into my series. You hit the nail on the head again with pointing out that the main type of communication and love language between Will and Reader is physical touch. I always strive to come up with a healthy mix of spice and emotion in my smut scenes and I am on my knees thanking you for clearly seeing that time and time again 🫂💗
This situation has only made me realize how incredibly lucky I am to have such amazing supporters and friends and am feeling emotional (in a good way!!) that you and so many others appreciate what I do here with my smutty silliness 🥹💗
(Cue all the emojis!)

lxvi. Beauty and Her Beast
<<Previous || first arc || second arc || third arc || fourth arc || AO3 || Next>>
Shirayuki was counting out coins to pay for the herbs when Kiki moved.
Suddenly she stood between Shirayuki and the crowd, with the apothecary’s counter at their backs. Shirayuki caught her breath, pulse quickening at the forewarning of violence.
She glanced towards the herbs arrayed behind her — their vendor looking around in confusion — there were pepper dusts and sneezing agents and many other irritants that would cause enough discomfort to hamper an enemy, but how to warn Kiki or any of the bystanders?
It wasn’t worth the risk of harming her friend, or other innocents, by accident.
Instead Shirayuki gripped the lacing of her hood and prepared to run.
...
She was just tall enough — she peeked over Kiki’s shoulder and saw the source of the disturbance.
A tall curvy woman with gleaming hair stood grinning at them, barely an arm’s length away. She set both hands on her hips, showing off her ample figure and also showing her empty hands –not that they would be far from grasping a weapon, should she hold it concealed somewhere about her generous sash or the wide belt beneath it.
Her posture bespoke confidence, but not a threat; Shirayuki felt herself relax fractionally.
...
Kiki, however, kept her guard up. She had not drawn her weapon —to do so would risk inciting panic in the crowded marketplace, to say nothing of the legal action that might follow if she could not show proper cause — but she maintained a fighting stance, angled with one foot back, and she rested her hand on the hilt of her sword.
When the woman didn’t speak, only smiled, Kiki shifted as if to draw her charge away.
“Wait,” Shirayuki broke out suddenly. “Kiki, wait—we know her!”
The stranger, now recognized, crinkled her eyes into crescents of delight. “The lady remembers,” she purred.
Kiki made no gesture of assent, only kept her gaze fixed on the other woman.
...
Indeed, it was not likely that she could have forgotten such a face, under such circumstances as Shirayuki now recalled — the inn, the dinner, the teasing, the empty bed, the dark manor, the crash in the trees, the open wound.
Had she forgotten, though, that key point — the most important detail?
“Kiki,” Shirayuki persisted. “She knows Obi!”
“Ah,” said the woman, with a knowing tilt of her head. “So you’re the one he’s running from.”
. . .
Kiki bought them all drinks at the tavern: cider, hot and spiced.
If Torou would have preferred stronger stuff, she made no mention of it, kept her complaints to herself.
Traces of wildness clung to her, even as they did to Obi, and Shirayuki looked at her with mingled hope and yearning.
Torou was the closest link to him that Shirayuki had found in what felt like an interminably long time, the nearest chance they had of finding him.
For the moment, however, she was playing coy.
...
“Mmmm…” Torou drained her mug. “You do know how to eat, you knightly people! Ah, but what’s happened to your friend – the tall handsome one? Now, him, I wouldn’t have minded seeing again…”
“He is unavailable,” said Kiki, impassive.
Torou heaved a sigh. “Too bad…but what would two fine ladies like yourselves want with a ne’er-do-well like that Obi?”
She winked.
Shirayuki looked back steadily. Without blush or stammer, she said, “He is my husband.”
...
Torou, for all her arts and all her experience, could not keep her composure so well.
She blanched.
“Your… you mean…” Her mouth opened wide, hesitating between a laugh and a gape of astonishment. “You mean… he tied himself down to a —”
“I was a royal pharmacist of Clarines,” Shirayuki said, proud and erect. “He was my guard.”
...
Torou lapsed into silence, staring at her. Occasionally, her angled auburn eyes darted to Kiki, as if to probe at the knight for explanation, but Kiki remained as unreadable as if she had been wearing a visor.
At last Torou said, low and gravelly, “So he was yours… and you lost him.”
...
Kiki’s eyes narrowed fractionally; the air between them chilled.
Shirayuki only shook her head. “He left,” she corrected Torou gently, and her voice was suffused with sadness.
Kiki laid a hand on her shoulder, not shifting her gaze.
...
Torou slouched in her seat, regarding the pair of them. She didn’t like to discover a new angle in a game she had thought she knew, a line of thinking that cast all the rest in a different light.
Obi’s reception at the inn felt more personal now, knowing that he had behaved that way out of some sense of obligation to another woman.
She prided herself on breaking down such petty objections.
Besides, what was there left for her to gain, since Obi had taken himself out of the game entirely? He was boring now — no good to anyone.
...
She might have left then, made her excuses or simply slipped away and left them none the wiser—but there was just one more factor to consider.
Obi might be useless, but he was definitely in danger.
The knight was competent, and the lady was the key to it all.
If Torou wanted to find him, she would meet with no better chance.
...
She surveyed the two women again, appraising them: slight and fine-featured; one sweet, the other sharp.
Obi’s wife — his wife! — had the eyes of a child, wide, open, clear.
She was unremarkable in looks, Torou thought, but for the tendrils of brilliant red that curled like flame at the edges of her hood.
...
Obi had always liked playing with fire, but this time he had shut himself in a furnace.
...
Torou had all but made up her mind by then, but transparency and decision were not in her nature.
Rather than declare herself, she threw out a lure.
“I see, how very sad, and that’s why you came this way then…but of course you know that he isn’t here.”
...
She might as well have teased an icicle for all the reaction this produced from Kiki, but Shirayuki took the bait.
Leaning forward, she fixed Torou with her luminous eyes. “Please, if you’ve seen him–if you know where he is, please tell us. I would be so grateful.”
...
Not much of an appeal, but Torou had her own reasons for playing along. “As it so happens, I was thinking of going that way myself,” she mused, tapping her chin.
She paused, casting the other women a sideways glance. “Is it a good idea, though? He left, you say… then what good is it to me, if he won’t be happy to see you?”
The hit sank home.
Shirayuki’s gaze dropped, and she tucked her chin.
...
Kiki’s eyes were boring into Torou, but neither spoke — it was for Shirayuki to answer.
At last she drew breath and said, “I just want him to know — I want to tell him… not to leave because of me. He should know that…”
She raised her head.
“...that I want us to be together.”
Something in the simplicity of this touched Torou, beneath all the layers of cynicism and self-interest.
Her mind flashed back to what had rekindled her interest in Obi in the first place — that something different, an indescribable change that cast him anew.
Here it was again, in this slip of a woman.
Torou didn’t know what it was, but it spoke to her.
...
With more sincerity than she would have thought possible of herself, Torou replied, “If that’s the way of it, then follow me, and I won’t say no — but I will say you’re headed the wrong way.
“He’s gone east.”

2wink Week 2023 Day 1 - Nostalgic
A Quarter Past 2am [AO3 or keep reading below]
2wink | one-shot | 1.4k words
Though the size of his palm had changed, the portion of chocolate chips stayed the same. As if what Hinata had used as a child, with palms barely big enough to grab any sort of meaningful handful, was Yuuta’s preferred amount of chocolate. Or maybe it was what nostalgia tasted like. Or: Hinata makes Yuuta hot chocolate when he can't sleep.
a/n: yayy first 2wink week post!! this is an old fic i posted a few months ago but since the day 1 theme was nostalgia i feel morally obligated to post this here. i hope you enjoy!
@2winkweek
It was 2am.
Hinata didn’t fall neatly into being a night owl or early bird by any means, but this was definitely too late for him to be up. It would be one thing if he had just woken up from sleep and decided to get a glass of water before going back to bed, then it wasn’t “staying up”, it was an interruption to his sleep. If anyone walked into the kitchen at this hour and saw him, that was what he'd tell them. If there were even other people awake right now.
No, there definitely were. There were plenty of weirdos living at Ensemble Square.
Also, he like, totally did not snoop on his phone to see that Yuuta was active on social media right now. That would totally be violating Yuuta’s privacy. But it wasn’t like he was hiding it. Okay, well, he wasn’t posting anything, but it said his status was active! So, if he really didn’t want people to know then he’d turn that setting off.
It didn’t really matter.
Hinata already had a saucepan warming up on the stove. Milk and cocoa powder set to the side, waiting on standby to be added in.
Yuuta’s lack of sweet tooth normally deterred Hinata from making something like this, and he knows countless spicy alternative recipes for other meals. He had even gone out searching for spicy hot chocolate recipes and begging Niki to teach him how to make them properly because while he had mastered the art of adjusting sweetness, mixing and matching spice wasn’t as intuitive to him.
And even with the special training, his spice palette was unsatisfactory, but it was probably better that way. Yuuta would hate it if Hinata was invading on one of his key personality traits. Even if, no, especially, if it were for Yuuta’s sake Hinata did so.
Hinata hovered his hand over the pan, heat seeping through his fingers, and decided it was warm enough now. He poured the milk in first, the white 2% of it all covering the bottom of the steel pan, with the cocoa mix following right after. He whisked them together with a practiced hand, muscle memory that knew a repetitive whisking motion used in most cooking, yes, but also this particular movement for this particular hot chocolate.
Everything about this recipe, routine, ritual, was ingrained in him, from his fingertips that spread the mix, to his arms that whisked the pan, and to his feet that had taken him out here to the kitchen in the first place. It might as well be a piece of his soul.
It was pointless to wonder how much of his soul is dedicated to Yuuta. Sure, he tried nowadays to be himself, Hinata Aoi, through and through. Whoever that was.
The more thought-provoking and less existentially-dreading exercise was to scour through the pieces like a web and decide which ones didn't end up linking back to Yuuta in some way.
Most of his hobbies started from a need to improve himself, not for his own personal self-satisfaction, but for Yuuta’s sake. Gardening was his one non-performance based hobby, but even that started as a way to save on groceries at home and grow the peppers his brother liked that hurt his wallet just a bit too much.
A drop of milk splashed out onto Hinata’s arm as he whisked, drawing his eyes back into focus on the warm brown color [verb]ing in the saucepan now. He set the whisk down, feeling the beginning of a cramp in his hand but ignored it to reach across the counter and grab the sugar. He didn’t need to use a lot; Yuuta usually liked something a little sweet when he couldn’t sleep.
It took only a few seconds for the sugar to dissolve and for Hinata to grab a small handful of chocolate chips to scatter in the pan like saccharine hail. He started whisking again and tried not to dwell too much on the memory of a much younger him, one before all the growth spurts and near-constant sibling bickering, one that had his little brother fully rely on him. Though the size of his palm had changed, the portion of chocolate chips stayed the same. As if what Hinata had used as a child, with palms barely big enough to grab any sort of meaningful handful, was Yuuta’s preferred amount of chocolate. Or maybe it was what nostalgia tasted like for him.
Some things change and grow, like how Hinata wasn’t a child anymore, but other things remained the same, routines built into the soul like a code for design.
It was a quarter past 2am, and while the oncoming footsteps were soft, trained to be light on the floor at night, they were wearing slippers, not socks. This was a public building after all, and the twins weren’t living at home anymore.
Yuuta rounded the corner into the kitchen, and Hinata spied the stray hairs sticking up at the back of his head from tossing and turning in bed. The hunch of his shoulders could be mistaken as stress to anyone else that saw them, but Hinata knew his brother’s heart and behaviors, and not that he carried stress but a chill. It took a lot for him to finally drag himself up and out of bed, away from the warmth and comfort of his blankets.
It meant he gave up on sleep and decided to make the chilly trek without a blanket to the kitchen. And like any regular person, he would get a nice glass of water and then try once again to get some shut eye.
Being “overbearing” was a trait Hinata has yet to fully kick, and who says he should be rid of it completely anyways? He should always be able to spoil his brother.
Knowing Yuuta’s ‘I can’t fall asleep even after looking at my phone for several hours and switching which side I lay on so that my phone can keep charging because it almost died’ ritual is hardly a facet of being overbearing. They did share a room for years.
Hinata’s mouth twitched like he wanted to greet Yuuta, but maybe his brother’s eyes do look a bit more tired than usual (or maybe it was just eye strain. These kids on their dang phones..!). He kept quiet instead, and let Yuuta be the one to initiate any talking.
Yuuta paused when his eyes met Hinata’s, and he can see how Yuuta’s mouth is already forming words of interrogation for him. It took a moment for him to settle on his words, and they were less questioning than Hinata would’ve thought.
“... You don’t drink hot chocolate this late,” Yuuta said, walking to join Hinata at the counter.
Hinata didn’t respond, instead looking at the warm, light brown color of the hot chocolate in the pan. The perfect color. He turned the heat off for the stove with a click of the knob, and when he turned to grab a mug, Yuuta’s already beaten him to it.
Hinata accepts the two white mugs, the Cosmic Productions logo printed on the sides of each, that Yuuta hands him. He didn’t bother saying anything right now; if Yuuta wanted to press Hinata on why he was up so late then he could do that, but Hinata wasn’t going to open that can of worms if he didn't have to.
He poured the hot chocolate into both their mugs, steam rising as the liquid filled them. They would probably get stained brown, but that was on CosPro for deciding to get plain old white instead of a nice sleek black or something. Maybe they should’ve done a chrome color.
In the little momentary crease of Yuuta’s eyebrows as he picked up the mug, there was the lingering need to question how Hinata knew he was awake. Hinata can imagine the thoughts flitting through his brain as Yuuta tried to make sense of it. Was it a camera in his room? A parenting app installed in secret? Twin intuition? At least there was no need to question what comes after Hinata knew that his brother was awake, since this was a routine as old as they’ve been able to reach the stove by standing on a wobbly stool.
He had always been making hot chocolate for Yuuta to help him fall asleep. Hinata didn’t plan on ever giving up that level of care for him, because as long as it was impossible to beat up nightmares and bad dreams, then this would be all he could do to settle his brother at night.
Yuuta took the first sip, his face relaxing as he held the cup with both his hands, seeping in its warmth. It was a short sip, since it was too hot to properly drink right now, but his lips turned up into a small smile regardless.
“Thank you, Hinata-kun.”
There was no need to question Hinata tonight, not over this familiar hot chocolate that had comforted Yuuta countless nights before.
“No problem, Yuuta-kun~”

Jin-Mun. Any toxic fandoms/RPC you been a part of in the past? Tell us a story! :o
OH YEAHHHHH... there's a couple. (Which luckily isn't many considering my time I've spent in the RPC) But I'm unsure if I want to drop the fandom names or not? Just because one was so bad that I don't want the particular bad people I have in mind to find me.
There was this really bad RPC, let's just say it's basically a fandom for a cartoon. Like it was practically walking on eggshells when talking to people there. They'd really get upset at any little thing you said or do. Like I told somebody that I personally watch my weight and careful with what I eat and they got so upset with that??? That they blocked me???? And it was just so weird because it's like I told them I had a heart condition (hell, I barely even eat salt at that time) and like. It's my body. Why are they getting upset with what I want to do with my body?
I also had a muse who would actively mistreat my muse, but as soon as other muses came to my muse's defense, the mun got so upset and started saying how much it hurt them that their muse was being treated as a 'bad guy'. And that was just so weird because it's like. ur muse is actively abusing my muse who has done nothing wrong LMAO. And like their muse is canonically written as a bad person, too. Like if other muses started ganging up on DJ (which has happened) I wouldn't care, in fact - I'd find it funny. The bastard deserves it.
But that wasn't even the worst of it. The worst of it was when sb got mad at me for a writing with a particular partner. Like they would just make nasty, nasty, unbased claims about me on their blog. Which I didn't even KNOW they were posting all this until my partner went to me and told me about how they were being attacked. And then when I looked at the blogs they mentioned, I saw they were talking about me, too! And it was wild because I didn't even know who this person was. And they were talking mad shit about me behind my back but without even mentioning (@ - ing me I mean) me. At first, I started to wonder if I did do something wrong. But nearly a couple years later when I was in a different fandom, I happened to meet sb else totally unrelated to that fandom, and they brought up how they had a friend who was really nice to them, suddenly ghosted them, and then started talking mad shit about them behind their back. And that was all too familiar with my former partner (same thing happened to them with this person) - so I asked them if it was [redacted] and they were surprised I knew them. So, clearly this was a horrible person. I'm unsure if anything ever happened, but I really did hope their true colors were revealed to everyone. Because hoooo boy clearly it was somebody who just loved to hurt people and cause drama for the fun of it.
If I'm being honest, I probably blame that fandom for why I have a harder time talking to people ooc today. It's just hard without thinking you're gonna say the wrong thing, or if they're sb you can really trust, y'know?
As for other fandoms - I was apart of one that tended to have drama spiced into it every now and then... and while I didn't like that drama, it still wasn't nearly as bad as the one I just told you about now.

The One Where Naps Become More (pt.1/2)🍬
⚠️WARNING⚠️: internalized homophobia, Ross is an idiot, two idiots in love, spice in pt.2!!
Joey Tribbiani x Ross Geller
Pt.2
Desc: Ross and Joey are nap buddies. Ross has a problem with that.
Ross tossed and turned, groaning in frustration when he couldn’t seem to get comfortable. The events of earlier kept replaying in his mind, the embarrassment crawling through his chest like a snake.
He truly accidentally fell asleep on Joey, he was never one for soap opera movies. But Joey seemed too excited to turn him down. He could barely admit to himself that laying in Joey’s arms comforted him, and the rest of their friends witnessing it only made the pit in Ross’ stomach grow larger.
His train of thought was interrupted by a loud knock at his front door. He spared a glance at the alarm clock, which read 3am. He huffed and he quickly stomped his way to the door, ready to chew out those kids once again, when he opened the door to a sheepish Joey.
“Joey? What are you doing here, it’s 3am” Ross scolded, rubbing at his tired eyes. “I wanted to apologize for, you know….” Joey trailed off, pushing his way past Ross.
“Well sure, just let yourself in” He muttered, to himself closing the door shut with a twinge of annoyance. Joey had just sat there in silence, playing with his fingers. Ross had never seen him this serious before.
“I mean yeah it was a little awkward but it was alright, it was an accident anyway” Ross assured Joey. A guilty look seemed to gleam in the man’s eye as he continued to fiddle with his hands.
“What?” Ross pressed, his own nerves starting to flare up. “Well, you see, I kind of just let it happen? I know I told you that I also fell asleep but actually… I fell asleep a little later then you did” Joey admitted.
Ross felt his heart flutter, silence filling the room as he took a moment to process what Joey meant. “What are you saying?” Ross said softly.
“I don’t know man…! Look, all I know is that I had the best sleep of my life earlier, and I know you did too, so why….put that to waste?” Joey urges, his arms gesturing as he spoke.
“I mean…I don’t see anything wrong with it as long as it’s just two friends helping each other out” Ross reasons, trying to push his nerves away.
Joey let a nervous smile turn at the corner of his lips as Ross gestured to his couch. Joey sAt down and slowly laid across it. Ross stood there for a moment, trying to decide if this was really the best move. He found himself not caring.
Ross made his way over, securing his spot (his spot?? Come on now Ross) and laid his head on Joey’s chest, their legs tangling together.
He felt Joey’s heart beat accelerate, his chest tensing for a moment before ultimately relaxing. Ross shifted, getting more comfortable and pressed his entire weight onto Joey. He really didn’t mind. He found Ross’ weight grounding.
They sat there in awkward silence before Joey grew confident and placed a hand on Ross’ back. When he didn’t say anything, Joey started rubbing up and down his back, smiling to himself at feeling the shivers that zapped throughout his nerves.
Ross grew bolder with time and wrapped his arms around Joey’s midsection, firmly planting his face in the fabric of Joey’s sweater.
Joey kept his eyes focused on the ceiling, trying to ignore the warmth blossoming throughout his chest. He personally had always found Ross to be an attractive man, who wouldn’t, right? However, he never even questioned the feelings that prodded at him in the back of his mind when the other man was around.
He never questioned the bitter feelings crawling up his throat when he saw Ross with Rachel, Emily, or really any woman he dated. He just thought it was jealously from Ross not being around as much.
Ross, on the other hand, was in a different boat. He felt disgusted with himself. He always managed to shove those feelings he deemed wrong whenever Joey smiled, laughed, or when he was just in the same room as him.
Ross even found himself fantasizing about Joey almost every night. Jealously nipped at him when Joey bragged about bringing a woman over. He would never forget when he entered Joey’s apartment without knocking, catching him in his birthday suit. Ross had turned quickly and ran, having to adjust his pants as Joey frantically blabbered something about naked Thursdays.
Despite all of his personal feelings of disgust, he still found himself here, against Joey’s chest. He desperately tried to convince himself that he was just helping out a friend, the butterflies in his stomach betraying him.
His train of thought was interrupted when Joey suddenly started snoring. Most people would find this annoying, but Ross certainly wasn’t like most people. He almost felt a smile tug at his lips.
Ross decided that his feelings were a ‘tomorrow Ross problem’ and shut his eyes, letting the steady rise of Joey’s chest guide him to sleep.

Debito Fluff Alphabet - [T]hrill
Fandom: La storia della Arcana Famiglia.
Category: F/M.
Relationship: Debito x Female Reader.
Type: Fluff Alphabet.
T) Thrill: Whether he needs new things to spice up the relationship or prefers a certain routine.
~~~~~~~~~~
For Debito, all things in life are similar to games: he likes to explore and try his hand at everything, but without ever taking things too seriously, since he is the type to rather enjoy taking things as they come and go. If there is something new that presents itself to him, an opportunity to try something that is new to him, he will give it a go and go with the flow from that point on. However, if he soon acknowledges that he's not necessarily good at it, or that it doesn't work out for him, he won't try any further, and will leave it be; he's not the type of man who wishes to be the best at everything he does and will be content enough being skilled in what fits his area of expertise. Additionally, he's a man who thrives on thrill, no matter what aspect of life we're talking about: thus, this is something he brings into the relationship you have with him as well. On a daily basis, he will enjoy providing your couple with new things, new ideas, to spice it up, and so that neither of you may ever find yourself bored. He also appreciates and welcomes them when you're the one presenting them to him, as it shows him you share his perspective and agrees with him on the necessity to add some thrill to your relationship. Nevertheless, this doesn't mean Debito dislikes the idea of routine; if anything, there are some aspects of his lifestyle that follow a certain routine, and he wouldn't like to see them change. He doesn't appreciate change under specific circumstances: when it's decided for him against his will, when it's done too abruptly, and when it happens too often over a short period of time. While you may or may not share his vision of routine, you respect it and never try to force him into any new things or changes he wouldn't appreciate; the two of you are lucky enough to have found a lifestyle that suits both of you and allows you both to flourish.
Mini Scene
I opened my eyes slowly, surrounded by the sweet yet heavy scent of cologne floating around me. I had no idea what time it was, but judging by how little sunlight was peeking through the window and how tired I was feeling, I assumed it was early in the morning, earlier than the usual time I woke up to.
With sleepy eyes, I looked up at Debito, against who I was lying, and who was still peacefully sleeping. Our legs were intertwined, my warm hands were resting on the surface of his bare chest, with his head just above mine, his graceful face partly hidden by his hair.
Whenever I saw Debito this way, in those intimate moments, when it was just the two of us, I could never resist but grow filled with love and desire.
I gestured on the bed a little, pulling myself up to his face level, and leaned in to kiss him: a soft morning kiss, which I made last for a few seconds, taking the liberty to gently hold his face, grabbing the opportunity that he was asleep.
But as soon as I pulled away, my breath slightly shaky, the muscles of his face began to move, along with his limbs.
"Hmm... Bambina...?" He let out in a sleepy voice.
Keeping his eye closed, he kept on moving around while I was still in his embrace.
"What time is it?"
"I don't know, but it's early." I answered him with a smile.
With a groan, he blindly grabbed my face with both of his hands and brought it back in front of his chest as he pulled the sheets up.
"Hmm, why?" He started to whine. "Am I not a good boyfriend to you? What have I done to deserve being woken up so early?"
My smile widened as I giggled against his torso.
"Oh, so taking me out on a surprise date late at night is perfectly fine, but you're all grumpy when I wake you up just a couple hours early?"
"They're not the same thing, amore..." He said with an audible pout.
His hands on my back pulled me back up in front of him, in front of his face, with his amber eye now open.
"If I let you cuddle me, will you let me go back to sleep?"
