Harry Potter Headcannons
1. I think Harry is short, (or shorter than most people think,) I know most people think he’s tall because James is tall but Harry grew up with the Dursleys, in the first book it’s said that he was always small and skinny for his age he has the build of a seeker, which is small. Although I do believe he gets stronger and more muscular in the later books I think that due to the neglect and abuse at the dursleys hands he would still be small.
2. He’s a fast runner and climber, I believe this because of the mention of ‘Harry hunting’ in the first book, I haven’t read it in a while but I believe it says that he often ended up in trees, while some of this can be attributed to magic like how he got on the roof of his school, I think he learned how to climb to get away. He can outrun everyone in his year and has freaked people out when they see how fast he can climb trees and walls.
3. He sleeps like he’s still in the cupboard, this one is a little more sad but I think he still sleeps curled in a ball, he spent 10 years in the cupboard and I think he never really grew out of that.
4. Another thing about the cupboard is I think he find comfort in small dark places, (reminiscent of a cat,) the cupboard was always a safe place that only petunia could reach properly therefore he couldn’t get hurt.
5. I also think that once he got Hogwarts he found cupboards, closets, and other small places to hide in that he could go to to calm down. While looking for these places he found more secret passages.
6. He takes walks around the castle at night under the invisibility cloak, he enjoys the freedom that he never got in the muggle world.
7. Relating back to number 4, I think his animagus form would a cat, no real reason other then I think it fits him, although I have read fics where he is a fox and I think that’s a good one too.
8. He’s touch starved and love getting platonic cuddle time with his friends, I think the golden trio is very affectionate towards each other so they are often found in a pile in the common room. I also think Harry and Luna are affectionate to each other, they know each other in a way that’s different than their other friends and I think that’s cute.
9. Harry and Luna feed the Thestrals together and I think sometimes Theo (Nott) joins them.
That’s all for now, feel free to add input

dark fic
911 words, @wolfstarmicrofic
Study sessions usually went predictably for Remus. Some thick kid would ask him a question, he’d pretend to care, they’d leave happy. The only reason he did them was to boost his credit; by being a werewolf, he automatically had none.
He was in the middle of a session with Sybill (she was struggling with her Charms NEWT, and he had no idea why someone so oblivious would even continue with NEWTs), when Sirius sauntered in, claiming he was bored.
Smirking at Sybill, Sirius threw himself into Remus’s lap, and began laving his tongue over Remus’s throat, eyes fixed on her as electrifying storms brewed inside them.
He kept his gaze on her lips as he grinded against Remus, and his heart swelled hearing Remus laugh when her mouth fell open, tongue lolling out as if she were in a trance.
“You bitch,” Remus whispered in his ear.
But then Sybill began speaking. Her voice was quiet and eerie, yet solid and firm. “James Potter is going to die.”
Sirius froze. Remus pushed him off and turned on Sybill. “The fuck?”
“James Potter is going to die,” she continued, deaf to their confusion. “He will be betrayed by one of his dearest friends. Dog. Wolf. Rat. One will betray him. James Potter is going to die. He will be sent to his grave by the one to rat his secret out.”
Sirius finally got his voice back. “IS PETER THE TRAITOR?!”
But her trance-like state had vanished. She blinked at them, eyes huge behind her glasses. “Huh?”
Sirius leaned across the table to grab her tie. “IS PETER THE TRAITOR?!”
She stuttered. “I don’t know. What are you—”
“Sirius,” Remus pulled him back. “I don’t think she can remember her prophecy. But yes, the traitor’s Peter. The rat’s the one who rats James out.”
“Oh.” Sirius turned around and slammed his mouth onto Remus’s. He opened their lips to murmur, “We need to kill him.”
Remus nodded, and sucked the words deeply into his lungs as he kissed Sirius even harder.
They were going to kill him.
- - -
The glint of the knife Sirius was sharpening matched the glint in his eyes and the glint of his grin. Remus kissed him, knife in between them, blade honed on Peter.
- - -
They crept out of their bed in the dead of night. Remus opened the curtains of Peter’s canopy, while Sirius towered above the sleeping boy, drool falling from his gaping mouth as his snores permeated the air.
Peter may look innocent. But he was a killer. Sirius didn’t look innocent at all. He was also a killer.
But he didn’t mind being a killer, because he was doing it with Remus. They were killers together, beautifully barbaric and barbarically beautiful.
Together, they raised their wands, and cast the spell to force Peter into his Animagus form. Rat. He squeaked at them, curling into himself as his small, beady eyes widened at the knife in Sirius’s other hand.
Peter tried to transform back, but Remus and Sirius held the spell, wands fixed on him. With his free hand, Remus grabbed Peter—
- - -
“What are you doing?!” James cried, flinging his curtains open.
Sirius kept his wand trained on Peter, now squirming in Remus’s hand. “Saving your life.”
“How is this saving my life?!” James rushed to try and pry Remus’s fist around Peter open.
“Because, James.” Remus simply stretched his arm out of James’s reach. Sirius smiled. He always knew his Moony’s height was an asset.
“We love you,” Sirius finished. “Now, let us kill him for you.” He raised his knife to Peter’s head, poking out of Remus’s fist and twitching horrifically.
“What the fuck?” James stared in horror. “Put the knife down.”
Sirius hummed. “I don’t think I will. I only want you to live. You’re my brother, and I’ll do anything for you.” He grinned violently. “Especially killing.”
“Mm, yeah,” Remus smiled. “We love killing almost as much as you, James.”
James was speechless. He lunged for the knife in Sirius’s hand. Sirius had to drop it in order to punch him away.
They both looked over James’s body, sprawled across the floor. Remus nodded appreciatively. “Mean left hook.”
Sirius looked at him adoringly. “Thanks, Moons.”
Remus’s gaze softened. “You’re lovely.”
Sirius smirked. “I know. Now let’s kill him.”
But as he crouched to pick up his knife, the direction his wand was pointing shifted.
- - -
Peter sunk his teeth into Remus’s hand, and Remus yelped, letting go of both Peter and his wand.
Peter transformed back to his human form, grabbed Remus’s wand, and Obliviated him. Remus collapsed next to James.
Sirius growled in outrage, moving to plunge his knife into Peter’s throat with such momentum that it was easy to dodge. It sank through the wall, and in that time, Peter aimed Remus’s wand at him, and cast, “Obliviate.”
His three friends lay unconscious next to each other.
He’d get revenge for this.
He’d be nice to James. Give him a way out of this cruel world.
He’d punish Sirius. Get him locked up. Dementors would be a nice touch.
He’d scar Remus. More than how the wolf did. Remus would be abandoned and alone for the rest of his life.
- - -
Next morning, James woke up and rubbed his aching skull. “Did we drink too much last night?”
“Yeah,” Peter replied quietly.
Sirius frowned. “Why is my—”
Remus slapped a hand over Sirius’s mouth. “Why’s there a knife in the wall?”

I'm here and I'm saving you. What are your Rosekiller headcanons? 😜
thanks for saving me :]
Okay okay, I'm so glad this one isn't just an nsfw request because I have so much to say about them just in general.
Barty and his anxiety - Evan always stills him with a simple touch; whether it's picking at his nail beds, or fucking with his hair, or tapping his fingers, Evan always reaches over and offers his hand and squeezing it is all Barty needs to relax
Barty and Evan watch disney movies together - it's one of the things they bond over, everyone around them always thinks they watch horror and thrillers, but nope, it's those adorable nostalgic animations for them
They both hate sports - but don't be surprised to catch them at a sports bar on football Sunday, all dressed up for the 'team' - all the strangers around them think they're serious but they're actually just making fun of everyone
Barty is a night owl, and Evan is an early bird - but when they sleep together, Barty finally can finally fall asleep, and Evan finally doesn't mind being awake
In everyone else's eyes, Barty made the first move, but the truth is Evan was pining far longer than Barty was, he just didn't know how to tell him
Now for 'canon adjacent' headcanons:
Evan used to sneak into Barty's bed every night after Regulus fell asleep - they used the excuse of Barty's nightmares, even after he stopped having them
Barty would low-key stalk Evan, following him to the places in the castle he knew he would be, signing up for the elective classes he knew Evan chose - Evan isn't stupid, he knew it, but he also low-key liked it
Regulus knew they were in love wayyyy before they ever admitted it to themselves - they'd be cuddling and close and when Regulus would make a snide remark they'd be like "stfu we're just friends", Evan would literally have Barty laying between his legs, kissing his forehead like "nah for real - just friends", in fact, they'd be making out and Barty would say "We're just practicing" when Regulus rolls his eyes
Barty's patronus was something so random - an otter probably, and Evan's was a wolverine, and it wasn't until they became animagus' that they realized they had each other's forms
Evan took Barty's place in the mission to the Ministry where he was killed by Moody, going as far as to impersonate him under the mask, and locking him in a room at the Rosier manor; Barty never forgave himself for being unable to stop him - and when the news came the next day, Barty was never the same
Sorry for ending on an angsty note lol oops

Secret Boyfriend | R.B
Paring: Regulus Black X Lupin!Fem!Reader
Summary: Keeping secrets seem to run in the Lupin family but one of the two twins has a bigger secret than the other can imagine.
Pitter-patter could be heard inside the Gryffindor Common room. The Scotland weather never really seemed to make up its mind during the period between winter and spring. Nevertheless, it brought a calming atmosphere to the red and gold common room. The five Marauders sat in front of the fireplace, speaking to one another. Remus, Y/n, and Sirius sitting together on a couch. James on an armchair, and Peter sitting on the ground in front of the sofa.
“So, Little Lupin.“ James drawled, “When are you getting a boyfriend?”
Remus chuckled, quickly putting an arm around his twin sister, “Hopefully, never.”
“Maybe I already have a boyfriend, and you lot just don’t know.” Y/n snipped as she elbowed her brother in the ribs slightly, “Oh, come on, paws!” James exclaimed teasingly.
Paws was Y/n’s Marauder name. Her animagus was a Siamese cat, which resembled her personality quite well if you asked Remus. Y/n was quick-witted, independent, intuitive, curious, and affectionate when comfortable. She and Sirius were known to flirt all the time but recently - meaning a couple of months - they hadn’t done it at all. Perhaps Y/n was actually avoiding his flirtatious remarks. Nevertheless, Y/n’s animagus was a direct correlation with her personality.
“Yeah, paws, you’ve been neglecting me recently. I’m not too happy with it either.” Sirius added with a fake pout, “Oh hush it, you two. Leave my sister alone. She’s got no hidden boyfriend.” Remus defended, looking at his sister.
“Right, Y/n?” Remus coughed, and she jumped out of her daydream, “Mhm! Of course.”
Conversation went on as usual. They began discussing new pranks, but Y/n’s jumper pocket felt heavier than usual, knowing what’s inside. It was a cream-colored envelope with the Black family crest as a seal. Y/n knew more than anyone that Sirius wouldn’t be happy to see the familiar logo, but this wasn’t from his parents. It was from his little brother, and Y/n was anxious to give it to him. So when James, Remus, and Peter went upstairs, Y/n pulled him aside before he could leave.
“Padfoot, wait.” Y/n called, and he turned back, “What's up, paws?” Sirius queried, turning to face her.
She sighed and pulled the envelope from her pocket, “Please, read this. It isn’t what you think it is despite the seal.” Y/n stated, handing him the parchment.
“Where did you get this?” Sirius asked as he opened the packaging, “Regulus.” Y/n’s answer was firmer than expected.
Nonetheless, the letter inside seemed essential to his fellow Marauder, so he opened it. Inside he was met with his little brother's prominent handwriting. The black ink treaded so seamlessly across the brown paper. Y/n remembered watching him write it at his desk, desperately trying to collect his thoughts while his hand shook relentlessly. She couldn’t do anything but sit from his bed and watch. Regulus needed to do this alone.
After reading, Sirius slid the letter back inside its packaging, “Well, it’s his fault.”
“Actually, it isn’t.” Y/n quipped, “Listen, Sirius, Regulus is trying. He really is.”
“You would know this how?”
“Because we’ve been friends for a long time.”
“Oh really?” Sirius questioned sarcastically, crossing his arms, “Since when did you and Reggie become so close?”
“He began tutoring me in third year for Potions.” Y/n answered, “You couldn’t have asked Remus?”
“No. “ Y/n shook her head, “Slughorn wanted Regulus specifically.”
“Well then. Full moon tomorrow, hope you’re prepared.” Sirius chirped as he began walking up the steps to his dorm, “I’m always prepared.” Y/n replied to essentially no one.
She sighed. It was apparent Sirius didn’t want to believe what Regulus had written. It would’ve been hard on anyone. But Regulus wanted it to come from him instead of Sirius finding out. Since Y/n’s third year - Regulus’ second year - she felt attracted to him. He always made time for her. It wasn’t until their fourth year when she realized it. In her fifth year, they made it official. Regulus Black and Y/n Lupin were a couple but hidden beneath an invisibility cloak.
Seventh year wasn’t easy. The upcoming war, her brother's lycanthropy, N.E.W.T.S, and Regulus getting the dark mark. Nothing seemed to be working in her favor. Books didn’t even seem to please her anymore. Her eyes wandered while she began to daydream about anything rather than reality itself. People began to notice how lost the girl appeared.
Especially her brother.
Study sessions with her weren’t the same. Some days her eyes would appear glossier than usual as if someone put a coating of lip gloss over them. Maybe they were rimmed with a pastel pink seeming tired and unhappy. The tremors in her hands were hard to ignore as she wrote with her quill. If there’s one thing Remus Lupin was good at, it was being observant; however, there wasn’t time, and he didn’t have the patience to deal with this right now. The full moon approaching meant that Remus’ patience tolerance was down to about none.
There was one thing that brought her clarity. Regulus Black. The Gryffindor common room was always a warm and welcoming atmosphere. In contrast, the Slytherin common room was cold and damp, but it brought her comfort because of the person inside. Y/n padded quietly inside of his prefect hallway, which was beside the Slytherin common. She walked into his bedroom, which was dark.
No candles lit. Just dark. Regulus always felt comfort in the dark, but it wasn’t dark because of that. It was dark because he was absent. Y/n peered over to his desk, where letters sat from his mother and some cousins. Andromeda seemed to try and reach him, but the letter looked unopened. There was one that caught her eye. It was Remus’ handwriting, and it was from him. It was also opened. Y/n knew she couldn’t stay all night. The full moon was due to rise in just two hours.
Picking up the parchment, she began to read:
“ To Regulus Black,
You need to step up. I get it. Sirius has been disowned, but he tries to make an effort. Can’t you see that? Sirius really needs you, and I know that you miss him too. This whole stubborn game of not wanting to talk to each other has gone on long enough.
I know what it’s like to argue with a sibling, and it isn’t pleasant. Suck it up, swallow your pride and talk to Sirius. You don’t have to ultimately make up, but please, he’s trying.
From, Remus Lupin. “
Y/n swallowed down her anger. Who was Remus to get involved in their affairs? If Sirius and Regulus didn’t want to interact, that was their problem, not his. It infuriated her. But she didn’t have time to babble around. Y/n pointed her wand at her and became a cat. Perks of her animagus being allowed at Hogwarts, she could roam around freely without suspicion. Quickly she sprinted down to the Whomping Willow, where she was met with her three Marauders in human form. Y/n transformed back.
“Where were you! I was worried sick!” Remus scolded, “Nowhere, but we need to talk later.” Y/n answered.
They got Remus in the shack and changed into their animagus forms. A stag, a rat, a dog, and a cat. The dog and the cat had the most interaction with the werewolf. Sometimes the dog and werewolf would cuddle up beside each other, whereas the cat would sleep on its own along with the other two animals. The following day Y/n and Sirius lugged Remus up to the hospital wing. Y/n sat beside him the entire time while the other three went off. Sirius and James were off to Quidditch practice. Peter was off to see his girlfriend in Hufflepuff.
Y/n tapped aimlessly on Remus’ hand, “M- Morning.”
“Morning, Moony.” Y/n greeted, “How are you feeling?”
“Phenomenal.”
“Sorry.”
“What did we need to talk about?” Remus questioned, and Y/n tilted her head, “You said we needed to talk before going to the shack.”
“Yes, I did. Um- uh- did you send Regulus a letter by any chance?” Y/n stammered, “I did. Why?”
“I saw it.” Y/n replied shortly, “You saw it?” Remus repeated incredulously.
She nodded, “How did you see it?”
“Regulus and I are friends. Sometimes we hang out in his dorm.” The words seemed like nothing as they rolled off her tongue, “You hang out in the Slytherin dorms? Is that why you always know the password so we can do pranks?”
“Of course.” Y/n chuckled, “I use my privilege to its advantage.”
Remus began to get up but grimaced, causing Y/n to jump up to help him. Gently she eased him to a sitting position. A new scratch on his cheek and multiple on his arms. It’s evident that the cat and the dog had to stop him. The thin scratches on his arms were a cat's nails. The thicker scratch on his cheek was a dog's nails. Remus looked down at his arms.
“I’m sorry.” Y/n muttered, “Not your fault, paws. Who was it this time?” Remus asked.
“Prongs. Apparently, you wanted Prongs.” Y/n answered, and he kissed the top of her head, “Thank you for stopping me.”
“Anything for my brother.”
“Just like anything for our Moony?”
Y/n laughed, “Yeah.”
Paws began to tap on his hand again, until a voice echoed through the hospital wing, “Y/n?”
“Y/n?” The voice called again, and Remus quirked his eyebrow at his sheepish sister, “Y/n!”
Suddenly a black-haired, grey-eyed, pale figure was beside her. He didn’t realize what he was doing until he had already kissed the top of her head worriedly. Y/n turned pink at the affection and the embarrassment of it happening in front of her brother. Remus coughed, and the male stood straight.
“Regulus, what a surprise.” Remus retorted, “Didn’t think you’d ever visit me in the infirmary.”
“Remus, please-“
“I wouldn’t.” Regulus snapped, “Then why are you here?” Remus inquired.
Regulus’ hand was playing aimlessly with the ends of Y/n’s hair, “Moony….” Y/n began at a whisper, “Regulus is my boyfriend.”
“This-“ Remus pointed at them both with a laughing smile, “Is funny.”
“Nice prank, paws, but it isn’t going to work.”
Y/n sighed, “It isn’t a prank, Rem.”
“We’ve been together for about two years now.” She confessed, and Regulus stiffened, “Friends, my ass.” Remus scoffed bitterly.
“Remus, please-“ Y/n began, “No, please just leave. We can talk about this later when I’m in the right frame of mind. Because if you don’t leave, now I might throw a punch.” Remus replied.
She sighed and reluctantly left with Regulus trailing behind her. Y/n didn’t want to cry. It was pitiful. Regulus never had a good relationship with Sirius since Hogwarts, yet he didn’t seem to care. Thankfully, after building the Marauders Map, she knew every little crevice and hiding spot. Pulling back a tapestry, she sat down on the cement floor. Regulus doing the same beside her. Hesitantly he pulled his arm around her shoulders, pulling her into his chest.
“This is pitiful.” Y/n chuckled bitterly, “I’m sorry, Reggie.”
“It isn’t pitiful. You and Remus have a close relationship. It’s okay to be sad about him telling you off.” Regulus replied, placing his chin on the top of her head, “Sirius and I are different. Don’t compare you and Remus with us.”
Y/n nuzzled into his chest, “I saw the letter Remus sent you.”
“I- I saw the way he spoke to you, and I’m sorry.” Y/n stated, “I hope he comes around.”
“I do too, love.” Regulus kissed the top of her head, “ I do too.”
It was quiet for a moment until two figures pulled back the tapestry, “Oi! Get off, little Lupin!” James exclaimed, and Y/n sighed, “Sirius, James, please just leave.”
“What are you doing with my mate's little sister, Regulus?” Sirius interrogated, “Comforting her. She needs me.” Regulus retorted, tightening his grip on her shoulder.
Y/n stood up and pulled Regulus with her, “Come on. We four need to talk.”
The four of them walked into a broom closet. It was a quiet walk. Eerily quiet. It brought shivers down Y/n’s spine at how silent the walk was. The tension was so thick you couldn’t cut it with a knife. The pressure felt like sludge. It was thick and mush. But when Y/n opened the door, the lot of them walked inside. James and Sirius stared expectantly.
“Regulus and I have been dating since my fifth year.” Y/n began, and Regulus intertwined their hands.
“Little Lupin!” Sirius exclaimed, “You weren’t lying when you said you had a secret boyfriend!”
“You scandalous little thing!”
“I can’t believe this.” James stated after running his hand through his hair, “How did Remus take it?”
“Not very well.” Y/n replied, “He kicked me out of the hospital wing when Regulus showed up. “
“He’s- He’s not in the right mindset, though. He’ll come to. I know he will. He has to.”
Sirius’ eyes softened, “Moony will come around. It might just take him a minute.”
“Regulus.” James called, and grey eyes stared at him, “Y/n is a Marauder.”
“I know that.” Regulus interrupted, “She is my little sister as much as she is Remus’” James continued.
“And mine!” Sirius added, smiling brightly, “Y/n is our little sister. The lot of us depend on her. We can’t, and we won’t have her heartbroken.” James explained sternly, suddenly looking a lot like Mrs. Potter.
Regulus’ cheeks flushed with pink, “I love her, I really do. I don’t plan on breaking her heart anytime soon.”
“You’re gonna be my sister-in-law!” Sirius squealed, hugging Y/n forcefully, almost knocking her over, “Oh, little Lupin.” He cooed.
“You’re all grown up!”
They laughed, and Sirius kissed her forehead, “Take care of him, will you?” He whispered so only she could hear, “Of course.” Y/n smiled.
“Alright, alright, I’d like my girlfriend back,” Regulus replied, taking her away from Sirius’ arms.
Sirius gulped, “How’s mum going to take this, Reggie?”
“I don’t care.” Regulus retorted, “Mums gonna have to deal with it.”
The smile on Sirius’ face was brighter than the sun, “Oh, Reggie!” He wailed, pulling Regulus into a tight hug.
The two brothers smiled as they hugged each other. Regulus sleeve slipped up, and James stepped back, pulling out his wand. The two Black brothers pulled apart, and that’s when Sirius saw it. The dark mark on his brother's sleeve. Y/n stiffened as Sirius lifted his sleeve up further to see it clearly.
“Reggie…”
“Sirius, please, I didn’t want it.” Regulus pleaded, “She- They- Please.”
James watched intently at them. Sirius’ eyes had filled with tears as he embraced his younger brother. For the first time in a long time, Regulus felt protected in his brother's arms. James walked closer and joined them. Hugging both Black brothers as close as he could. James Potter, the man who never stops giving. They pulled apart, and James took Reggie into his own arms.
“You need anything, you come to me, okay?” James informed sternly, and Regulus nodded, “Ye- Yeah.”
“Remus and Y/n always come for the holidays. You won’t be alone.” James stated smiling, “My parents already have one Black; they won’t mind another.”
The Black brother smiled, “Thank you….”
The days went on, and Regulus still avoided the Marauders altogether. Remus glared at him from the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall. Deep emerald green eyes were flashing at the grey ones that sat at the Slytherin table. Until Y/n jabbed him in the ribs, taking his attention away from the younger Black brother.
“Remus.” Y/n scolded, “Stop it.”
“I think you’re too hard on him, Moony.” James began, “He loves your sister. Maybe talk to him.”
“No.” Remus snapped, “You guys can accept this, but I can’t.”
They didn’t push any further. Y/n and Remus had been distant from each other. It was weird to watch the twins who were typically attached at the hip to be so - abroad. Regulus didn’t like that he was now the cause of their fussing. After all, they were the reason Sirius and him were on speaking terms now. So Regulus and Sirius made a plan. It involved them being locked in a broom closet, and so it happened—one night after dinner.
Remus was shoved into a cupboard, not by his own liking either, “Come on, Sirius! This isn’t funny. I have prefect duties to do!”
“Actually, someone else has taken them over.” Regulus informed, and Remus whipped around, “What are you two doing here?”
“Remus, explain it to me.” Regulus began, “Why you don’t approve of me with your sister.”
“Because! You’re a bloody death eater! You probably forced her to be with you.” Remus exclaimed.
Y/n scoffed, “A pureblood forcing himself with a half-breed? Doesn’t seem likely.”
Remus ran his hand through his hair, “Okay, he’s still a death eater!”
“I was forced!” Regulus exclaimed, “They strapped me to a chair and embedded the mark into my forearm. You don’t think I wasn’t thinking of her the entire time?! I was scared out of my mind!”
“The entire time, all I could think about was ‘How is Y/n gonna take this.’” Regulus admitted, “My heart aches for her. I didn’t want her to be scared.”
Remus’ green eyes turned soft, “Does she accept you? Does she love you? Do you love her?”
“Yes, Remus. I love him for who he is. James offered him a place to stay at the Potters.” Y/n replied, “And yes, I love her.”
Tears filled her eyes, “Remus, please. I don’t want to lose either of you.”
Remus held out his arms, and she walked right into them. He placed one hand on the back of her head and one on the small of her waist. Holding her close to his heart, rubbing his thumb through her hair. Regulus’ grey eyes stared at the two siblings before him. Remus’ heart softened at his crying sister. He never wanted to hurt her, ever.
“Paws.” Remus began as he pulled away slightly, “Does he make you happy?”
Y/n sniffled and nodded; Remus wiped her cheeks, “Okay.”
“Does he know you, for you?”
“Mhm.”
Remus turned to Regulus as Y/n parted with him, “Where’s paws favorite place to be scratched?”
Regulus chuckled, “Behind her ears.”
“Take care of my little sister.” Remus pleaded, “Please, Regulus.”
“Of course. I wouldn’t expect any different.” Regulus answered.
Remus walked forward and put out his hand. Hesitantly Regulus shook his hand. Grey eyes met green ones. Remus couldn’t help the smile that placed itself on his face. Without hesitation, he pulled Regulus into a tight hug.
“Take care of my sister, and I’ll take care of you.”
“Always.”

FALLING
HPhogwartsmystery - Talbott Winger x Reader
Author‘s note: This is supposed to be a one-shot but since there aren’t many stories about Talbott x reader I’ll be posting 2nd and 3rd part (if you’ll be interested).  Also English isn’t my first language so sorry if there are any mistakes.
Wordcount: 1200
Pairing: Talbott Winger x reader / MC / Y/N (your name)
Tumblr media
I first became aware of Talbott Winger thanks to a coincidence. Back than I had never imagined that this boy could get under my skin so quickly. I could say it all started thanks to Tulip.
It was a normal day. I came to the Great Hall and saw Tulip standing with Barnaby at the very end. The sight of the two of them together was more than unusual, so I decided to investigate.
”Hi Y/N. Barnaby and I were just discussing Talbott Winger.” Tulip greeted me. When I asked who he is the answer was “a Ravenclaw who keeps to himself.”
”They also say his dad is a vampire, and his mum is a mermaid!” Barnaby joined the conversation with a disturbing look on his face. Looks like I'm not the only one with strange rumors circulating around school. What actually caught my attention was the fact that he’s attempting to brew an Animagus Potion. Since the first lesson with professor McGonagall I have dreamed about becoming an Animagus myself. Maybe if I talked Talbott into brewing an extra Animagus Potion for me, I can finally fulfill one of my dreams. Not to mention how much easier it’d be to sneak around school in animal form…
”He’ll shut you down.” Tulip crushed my completely bulletproof plan. ”It might be best to ask around about him first…“ Suggested Barnaby. Since it was a good idea I started asking about Talbott everyone who was still in the Great Hall. Unfortunately, he was sitting a few feet away from me, and as I found out later, he heard everything.
”If you want to know something about me, just ask.“ He says as soon as I sit across from him. He took me by surprise. Not knowing what to say I blurted out the first thing which came to my mind: ”How did you know I was talking about you?“
”My hearing is almost as good as my eyesight.“ He asnwers without any emotion. ”Besides, I’m used to people talking about me.“ How can I relate to that… I decided not to beat around the bush and straightforward asked if he was brewing an Animagus Potion, however he denied it. His cold response told me not to push any further and with a quiet sorry to bother you, I got up to leave. His next sentence stoped me. ”Is it true you sneaked into Filch’s Office?“ Not wanting to incriminate myself, I lied. ”No. Why? Do you want to get in?“
”I’m collectong things for a mutual friend of ours.“ He vaguely answered. ”We have a mutual friend?“
”You’re probably surprised I have any friends at all…“ Did I just hear a hint of pain in his voice? ”No, not really. Everyone has friends and with everything I’ve seen at Hogwarts, nothing surprises me anymore.“ I shruged with my shoulders to seem like I don’t really think much of it, but in reality I secretly hoped my answer will comfort him. I don’t know why, but I don’t want him to be sad. ”We’ll see about that.“ Talbott said. A little smirk appearing on his face.
”What do you mean?“
”Let’s go Y/N L/N. You can show me how you definitely did not sneak into Filch’s office.“ And just like that I fell into a trap called Talbott Winger. With each passing day I wanted to know more about him, what he likes, what is he doing. When I was able to conjure a smile on his face, it was the best feeling I had experienced. Much better than when we won first Quidditch Cup. But… He didn’t saw me as a friend. Not until I pushed him into allowing me to help find his lost necklace. That’s when he finally admited, he sees me as a friend. As someone he can trust and rely on. When I heard him say these words, my heart made a few somersaults. In that very moment I realised I don't fancy him anymore. I have totally fallen for him.
                                                       *******
One particular night I couldn’t fall asleep. I decided I’ll tire myself out by going on a fly around the castle. After putting on a sweatshirt and shoes, I shifted into my animagus form and flew through the open window. After flying for several minutes I noticed a very familiar looking eagle heading fot the owlery. With a graceful movement of my wings I change direction and follow my new friend. When I land, I transform back into my human form, but Talbott still remains in his animal. He is resting on one of the loose perches, looking at me curiously.
”I couldn’t sleep.“ I answer his silent question, taking a few steps forward, shortening the distance between us. His feathers shine beautifully in the moonlight. I couldn't resist the urge to touch his plumage. I lightly touch the side of his wing.
”Your feathers looks really beautiful.“ I whisper into the dark night not entirely sure if I didn't cross the border. His pupil narrows in surprise. His body gets surrounded by a yellowish glow, and I realise too late that he is transforming back into his human form. Surprised, I don't have time to dodge and within a second I find myself face to face with his firm chest. His pleasant scent immediately surrounds me, and I realize that I am absorbing it voraciously in an effort to remember it. He must have noticed. This got awkward really quickly… With a shy sorry i take a few steps back and look up at him. His look took my embarrassment to a whole new level. He was covering his face with his hand, furiously averting his gaze. Is he blushing?
”Did you…“ His voice was a pitch lower than usual. After clearing his throat he looked down at me. Yep, he was definitely blushing. ”Do you really think that?“ I felt my cheeks begin to burn. ”Yes… I do.“ I honestly answer unable to look him in the eye. The last time I confessed my feelings it didn’t go exactly well. Thank goodness I erased his memories.
”Do I look good only in my Animagus form?“ He asks. Something in his voice forced me to look at him. He was serious. He needed to know. The request in his eyes told me I have to tell him the truth. Now or never.
With a shaky breath I compose myself. ”No. I think you look very handsome every time I see you.“ After hearing my response his cheeks darkened with deep red. A mischievous grin curls his mouth into a smile. Why does he looks like he just won?
”Good to know.“ He simply answers lovering himself to my heigh. He tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear with his hand, looking directly into my eyes. His hot breath tickled my lobe. ”I think you look absolutely gorgeous yourself.“ And with that, he transformed back into an eagle and left.
The heart impetuously beats for the boy who just gave her hope.
”Falling in love with him I hadn’t expected. But being in love with him is something I couldn’t stop even if I tried.“

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DARLING @crazybutgood!!!!!!!!!!! I remember the first time I saw your origami and was blown away by your talent and coolness. Frankly, I'm still blown away by your talent and coolness but now it's that + how kind and awesome a friend you are. I'm so lucky to have crossed paths with you and straight up #blessed to have gotten to work with you on Pictor. Aside from how much love I personally have for you, you're a freaking light in this fandom, and we are so lucky to have you❤️
I wrote you this fluffy thing for your birthday, inspired by a bunch of Wolfstar you reblogged circa early June and the @liquidluckdrabblechallenge prompt facade.
'The Talk'
Wolfstar | Rated T | CW - sexy | 677 words
“No one tells you about all the strange things that happen once you become an Animagus. Alright, we weren’t formally educated, and maybe if we had been, we would have known… For me, nothing changed at first. Gravity kept pulling me where it had since I was eleven–to Moony’s side. Every room I walked into, my eyes would search for him. That was nothing new.
But then things got weird. I couldn’t sleep until I heard Moony’s slowing breaths at night. Except for Wormtail’s snores, all other noises faded to the background. All but the rhythmic, calming beats of Moony's heart as he fell asleep. Then his smell, so strong in the morning when he woke… His unnatural need to be up at the break of dawn was my only mercy fifth and sixth year–I’d have to wake up at the same ungodly hour he did to rub one off before class.
[Read the rest below the cut!]
Oh, shut it, Ron. You need to know these things! I was absolutely hopeless, my body so far ahead of my heart, and my brain reduced to a useless, bloodless mess since all the blood in my body decided to focus on my cock. And fucking Moony, with his prefect badge and that studious, ‘over-all-your-nonsense, Sirius’ façade… I felt like I was going mad.
And it only got worse. Especially after full moons when I’d come back from being Padfoot–high on the adrenaline of running in the woods beside Moony, far ahead of Prongs and Wormtail. But Moony would be destroyed, physically and emotionally. I felt this need to lick him–not like that, Hermione. Okay maybe yes like that, but also to heal him, and wrap myself around him, and tell him he was perfect. I think that’s when it hit me, when I realized I loved Remus and Moony; the man and the wolf.
I’ll spare you the story of how we, erm, got together. But I will say that it felt like it took ages for us to realize what our animal forms always knew: we’re soulmates. That’s the thing, you think becoming an Animagus is just this… new skill. Like learning a Patronus. But it’s not. Your Patronus may show you who you love, but your Animagus will show you who you’re meant to be with. The animal within you will push you to them, and if you fight it, you will go mad.” Sirius looked at them sternly. “Is that a risk you’re willing to take?”
Hermione’s turned her nose in the air, obstinate. Nothing would keep that witch from pursuing a new bit of magic. Ron looked proper scared, and Sirius cheered internally for getting a third of the trio to see sense. And Harry… the expression in his eyes was unreadable. Like he wanted to know but at the same time didn’t. Sirius could work with that, he’d get to him later.
“What are you telling them now, love,” Remus said as he walked into the room, five cups of tea floating behind him.
“Oh just telling them the story of how we got together,” Sirius responded with a grin.
Remus shuddered, “Please tell me you skipped the inappropriate sniffing…”
“ALRIGHT, we’re leaving!” Harry announced loudly, and the trio rushed out of the kitchen and into the Floo.
“Well done, you,” Remus purred.
“Does my parenting turn you on?” Sirius asked smugly as he moved to straddle Remus and settled on his lover’s lap. “Oh! It does!” he said with a predatory grin as he wiggled on top of Remus.
Remus whimpered and pulled Sirius in for a kiss. “I can’t help it, it’s the wolf,” he said with a grin.
Sirius laughed and kissed him back, sweet chaste kisses delivered in rapid succession. He loved this man, this wolf. Yeah, becoming an Animagus was risky stuff. But for Sirius, it had been absolutely worth it. And if he had to go back, he’d do it again in a heartbeat to share his life, his body, his future and his family with Remus John Lupin.

Ragged voices licked his ears. Three different ones overlapped in a cacophony of hissed whispers and dooming laughs. From where he stood in the middle of his cell, Sirius could see a silhouette standing in the open door. Open, because there was no way he could escape. Three Dementors floated in a circle around him, so fast he could barely tell them apart. Black smoke, a burning smell and shadows whirled under low hoods, bringing him to his knees.
The man in the door curled his lips in a terrible grin. The Dementors were his and with each mind they broke, with each soul they ate, the wizard gained a sense of pride and morbid joy.
Sirius knew it. He knew the man, back in his school years - how far they seemed now! But Sirius also knew he was delusional. The Dementors bow to no one. They have no law, no caretaker, no master. Only their purpose.
Continuing to swirl around his frail body, sinked in to a third of what it used to be, bony edges poking out through dirty thin layers of clothing, the Dementors closed in on Sirius. Flashes of memories flew before the Animagus' eyes. James' empty ones, still open in a silent plea for his sacrifice to be enough to save his family, his brown hair dipped in his own blood, body angled in an unnatural position with his hand stretched forward above his head as if reaching for his best friend. Lily's tears, yet to dry and evaporates, stained her too pale face, the red of her hair sprayed around too lively; no blood pools formed around her lifeless body, laid on its belly as it fell onward, as if leaping away from her son, so the baby won't have to see it. And finally Harry, his godson, crying in his crib, a brown-red crust shaped like a lightning forming on his forehead; his green, small eyes, swollen, puffy and trimmed with red followed his godfather as the man turned his back on him and ran outside.
Sirius cursed loudly, beginning to shackle the chains trapping him in place in case he tried to escape the daily visit of the Prison Warrant and his guards. But the now twenty five years old has stopped trying to run a long time ago. What good would it be? There was nothing - no one - waiting from him out in the world. No, Sirius trashing around the cold, dirty dais, snapping the metal biting in his wrists, bruising his effervescent skin and almost cracking his bones as well was his attempt to run from his own mind. If he could just wipe the haunting memories away with a shook of his head, a twist of his back or punching and kicking the thick walls.
Fragments of thoughts he wasn't sure belonged to him invaded his mind. "Your fault. Traitor. Another Black." And, worst of all, one pained howl, a desperate scream in the night. Sirius wasn't sure if he heard it, or the dark creatures around toyed with him, but Remus' wild, feral yell of pure hurt reverberated inside the bars of his mind. The young wizard shut his eyes closed tightly, hoping to brush away the sound, the voices. Failing to do so, he released a scream of his own, only a hint of Padfoot, the big, black dog, his alter ego, printed in it.
The thirty four years old man yanked up. The bed sheets were soaked in his sweat, the blanket throwed on the floor. Sirius passed a shacking hand over his face, feeling the hot air leaving his mouth in short breaths, than big inhales with no exhale, the burning of tears on his warm red cheeks and the running nose. His lips felt sewed together all of a sudden, as chill after chill entered his body, cooling off his face too quickly.
It was just a nightmare, he knew. He escaped Azkaban, has been a free man from over a week already. But Sirius Black couldn't let the twelve years in prison go. The things he saw there, what the Dementors showed him day after day, carved their way in his brain, refusing to leave. Yes, he may have been wrong: his family and living friend welcomed him back. Harry was warming up to hid godfather, Nymphadora Tonks was eager to know her uncle, Andromeda even reached out, sending letter after letter and Remus - well, Remus hugged him tight and apologized for believing that filthy rat's lies. The werewolf spent his days, from first ray of sunshine until the last drop of sunlight. But the nights he went home. The nights when ghosts came to play, wounds teared open and pain leaked like blood from Sirius' heart, Remus was gone.
He tried to remember a time they didn't share a bed - before Azkaban, of course. Not in a sexual way, though it came to that in the late years of Hogwarts too. But simply for the comfort they each found in the other. It started in the second year, Sirius recalled.
Four twelve years old boys in a room seemed like a receipt for disaster. In a way, it was. After finding out their friend's secret, James, Sirius and Peter decided to sneak in the herbology cabinet, get Mandrake leaves and become Animagus. Seeing as they got away with it, the four created their enchanted map and become the Marauders, messers Prongs, Padfoot, Moony and Wormtail, waltzing their merry way through Hogwarts.
Not everything was merry and joyful, though. And despite their reputation, the wizards could be grave and serious when need be. Like one night, when Sirius woke them all up with his cries. The grey eyed boy stood on top of his bed covers, knees drawn to his chest, hands tangled in his shoulder length hair. He leaned back and forth, trembling. Front teeth bit in his lower lip to prevent him from making more noises as silent tears rolled down his face.
The other three boys thought Sirius saw a mean spirit, the haunted glassy look in his eyes only proving their theory further. But no danger threatened in the shadows of their room. No monster lurked in the darkness.
James was the first to get up and surf his way to the pure blood. Remus followed closely behind while Peter watched everything from the safety of his bed. Sirius' episode truly spooked him.
"Padfoot, mate, what's wrong?"
"Nothing. 'm sorry. Go back to sleep."
James and Remus changed worried looks at the sourness of Sirius' voice. Their friend would usually be the epitome of confidence, yet now he seemed to desperately try to shrink and disappear. But it was late and they were tired, so the boys decided with a swift nod that they'd pick up the subject in the morning and climbed back under their covers.
Remus jolted awake. Two out of his three best friends were sound asleep. Sirius still stared at the wall in front of him, breathing jerky. Due to his fine, superior hearing, the werewolf discerned the Black boy's muffled whimpers, sounds that kept him from sleeping.
"Sirius, why are you so afraid?" Remus whispered.
" 'm not afraid, Moony. Sleep."
"Can't. Werewolf remember? I hear you trying to not cry. You can cry, you know."
"I know." Sirius said in a tone that clearly showed he doesn't. With a sigh, Remus threw away his blanket, slipped his feet in his shoes and trailed his legs over the dorm's brick daises until he reached his friend's bed. The brown haired boy signed Sirius to scoop over, which he did, to both wizards surprise.
Later, when talking about that night, Padfoot admitted he was too tired, too shocked and too lost in his mind to think and only acted on auto pilot.
Remus brought the blankets to cover them both, still seated as they were. "Do you need a hug?" Sirius hesitated before answering, but eventually he nodded twice, a quick movement as if the boy was ashamed to admit it and wanted to pass unnoticed.
But Remus smiled softly and wrapped his hands around him. Sirius clinged onto his friend. The warmth of the gesture, the cozy closeness of a settled, stable body, a person that cared deeply about him and only him as a being, set the restrained tears free. Remus held Sirius until his body stilled and he could feel no more tears soaking his pajamas.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
Sirius swallowed, but the words demanded to be spoken. "Yes."
"Alright. I'm gonna ask you questions and you can answer with yes or no. It's your choice if you want to elaborate. Sounds good?"
"Yes." Sirius said and for a moment his usual, ironic self showed up.
"Was it a nightmare?"
"Yes."
"About your family?"
With a shudder, the grey eyed boy forced out another "yes."
"Your brother?"
"No."
"Your parents, then. Did they - did they do something to you?"
"Yes." Remus' arms tighten around him and he clunged harder to his friend as well. In the safety of the Gryffindor dorm, shared with his most trusted peers, comforted by the scarred boy he became an Animagus for, Sirius stumbled over his thoughts. The dream weighted heavy on his mind, but he didn't know how to let free of those horrible images that haunted him. Not images, memories. Sirius feared that if he said anything they'll become real. Not that they weren't, but they happened in the past. Talking about them, invoking them, would feel like living through them again.
And yet, part of him wanted to talk. He needed someone to know. Sirius couldn't be sure why. Maybe to hear that it was nothing, that it was ok and he shouldn't be such a weak ship. Or maybe to hear it was normal and he wasn't alone. That is how parents love and his didn't hate him after all. Or just to show someone how broken he were, hoping to be picked un and patched.
So, speaking slowly, but evenly, Sirius retailed his nightmare to Remus. In his sleep, the twelve years old boy was hanging some muggle posters in his room: bands, promo for concerts, normal things a boy his age would own. He smiled broadly, music turned on quite loud, muggle music, when his parents bursts in. Walburga and Orion both yell, but Sirius can’t understand what they’re saying. It’s pretty clear they are very upset with him, though. And the reason couldn’t be more obvious.
“Sirius Orion Black!” his mother shrieked. “Ungrateful, worthless child! You are a stain on the family’s name.”
“You should be ashamed of you. As much as I am for being your father. Well, say something. Look how upset you made your mother!”
“Sorry,” he’d try to say, but his voice would break, too small to be heard by the angry adults. Which only worsened their state. Sirius watched frozen in terror as Walburga took her wand. Only his head seemed to be able to move, and he was shacking it vigorously, wiping his cheeks with it. The young wizard tasted tears on his tongue as he repeated the same words over and over again “no, please, ‘m sorry!” It did nothing to help.
Remus stayed in his bed that night.
°•▪︎~▪︎•°
The moon shone mockingly on the window. Last night has been a full moon and Prongs, Padfoot and Wormtail failed to properly contain Moony. It happened quite a lot in their first days as Animagus. As normal, they got better over the years, the four boys falling in rhythm like an oiled machine. By the time they reached excellency, though, mistakes happened. James, Peter and Sirius thought less of it, but Remus took it badly.
As he laid in the dark, blanket drawn to cover his head as he hugged his knees on the side, the young werewolf tried to remember what happened last night. What if he killed someone? What if he will next time the boys won’t be able to restrain him? Is it worth living like this, a danger to himself and the ones around? What if he hurts his friends?
“I can hear your mind working from over here y’know?”
Remus straighten up in shock. “Padfoot?”
“Well, it’s not the Fat Lady. What’s on your mind?”
Remus shrugged, but Sirius wouldn’t stop pestering him until he poured his deepest fears and doubts.
“You won’t”
“How do you know this?”
“You won’t, Moony,” Sirius said more firmly this time.
“Alright.” Remus clearly didn’t believe him and his worries still troubled him as he turned to lay back down. He heard footsteps, then felt the mattress shifting as another body climbed over his bed covers. “I know because I am Sirius Black and you are my friend.” Less than an hour later, both boys were sound asleep.
Sirius slept in his bed that night.
°•▪︎~▪︎•°
It became a tradition. At first, they'd wait until one of them woke frozen in pain and panic, then they'd stay together and talk silently until they could sleep again. Later, Sirius and Remus would wait until James and Peter were out to decide who's bed to sleep in, knowing one of them - or both - ought to need the comfort.
The man kept trembling. His sobs caught in hiccups, leaving him out of breath. He did it. He left Harry for revenge. He practically made the choice for James and Lily, selecting Peter as secret keeper. His brother died and instead of mourning him, Sirius rejoiced bitterly in his cell - until he found out how he betrayed the Dark Lord.
He was just another Black. An evil presence in the world, despite his efforts. Gryffindor or Slytherin, it mattered not when his genes crafted him. Sirius tried so hard to be good, brave, loyal and the only thing he managed was to disappoint everyone. He was a nuisance and a burden and the a stain on the world. It'd be better if his sorry, useless existence would be wiped off the surface of the Earth.
Such thoughts clouded Sirius' mind when a light knock pulled him out of his head. "May I come in, Padfoot?"
The man almost broke at the nickname. Only one single person now would know to call him that. The weight of the realization hit him and another wave of tears carried the air from his lungs.
Receiving no answer, Remus kicked the door open, worry written all over him. The werewolf was panting and sweating from running, eyes wide close to terror. "Padfoot!" Seeing his oldest friend's state, he rushed to his side and hesitated only a moment before drawing him in for a hug.
"Nightmare?"
"Yes."
"Azkaban?"
"Yes."
"Dementors?"
"Yes. They-" Sirius gulped, shame tightening up in his throat. He was a thirty four man, for Godric's sake! And yet he cries like a baby. But the path he and Remus trailed off to, simple questions, any type of answer, so familiar and soothing he couldn't stop. "They tortured me. Showing me their - James and Lily's - death over and over. I left Harry, Moony. I stepped inside the house, saw that beautiful, brave child, suffering and I took off after bloody Pettigrew!" Before Remus could say a thing, Sirius continued, teeth so barred that words barely spitted out. "I heard you screaming too. I don't think that was real, but it sounded so broken, Moony. Twelve years, over twenty four full moons alone. 'm so sorry. It's all my fault."
Remus inhaled sharply, pulling Sirius even closer to him. He rubbed circles on his back, leaning to whisper in his ear "It was not, Padfoot. I should have trusted you more, star. If anything, it's my fault for spending so much time alone. So much, in fact, that it seems I neglected you, our agreement."
“It was my fault.” Sirius insisted.
“No,” and not letting him time to argue, Remus added “I know so, Sirius, because I am Remus Lupin and you are my... friend.”
Sirius pulled away only to find a reluctant smile playing on Remus' face. His body reacted before his mind could process its moving. He moved on the right side of the bed, still avoiding the other wizard's eyes. "Why are you here, Remus?"
"I couldn't sleep either. Thought to check on you as well. And good thing I did. You looked..." The professor didn't know how to finish that sentenced. Hollow. Empty. Dead. Scaringly close to death, in fact.
"Merlin! Thank you, Moony. You don't look bad yourself."
Remus chuckled. "Are you feeling any better?"
"No. You?"
"No."
Both men laughed. A bitter sweet sound passing through silence, taking with it any sign of discomfort that existed.
"I'm glad you came."
"Me too."

Severus Snape being an awesome teacher and human being
Au Volant - Elsa & Emilie
He makes sure to let students work on their own when they brew Amortentia. They only have to pass in a list of things they smell and he draws little smiley faces on them because he knows a lot of kids are very insecure about their feelings. (Once a kid passed in a list that just said, I’m sorry Professor but it doesn’t smell like anything, and on their paper Severus drew an ace and aro flag and a time for the student to be at Mcgonogall’s office that weekend for tea, along with a smiley face and an O grade.) (The student was Newt.) (Hailee’s just read, People are gross and if I fall in love with one I want you to kill me, to which Severus responded, Valid, and drew her a picture of a turtle.)
He makes fake batches of Felix Felicis and gives one to every student secretly before their O.W.L.s and N.E.W.T.s so they feel extra confident going into the test but aren’t actually cheating.
He knows his area is Potions, but he teaches defense spells to students who come after class or report bullying anonymously. Severus Snape does not fucking stand for bullying in his classroom or outside of it. If you dare to pick on one of his students, he will burn you so hard with his mere words that you will wish you were dead. Do not fuck with Severus Snape’s kids.
On parent-teacher day, he drinks different batches of Polyjuice Potion to imitate certain students, all of whom hide away in their dorms after drinking a fine batch of invisibility potion. He then follows these select parents around and endures their horrifying, demeaning remarks about their “failure of a child” so his students don’t have to. He makes sure to give these students glowing praises to their parents when it’s his turn to offer feedback (after making up an excuse to go to the bathroom as the student), and takes mental notes of the parents’ most prominent criticisms so he can be sure to compliment those parts of his students during their next assignments (and also just because).
He brews sleeping potions for students he knows stay up all night studying and sometimes slips it into their drinks if they refuse to take it willingly. He then gives them back their (usually almost flawless) tests with the note that if they want a full O they need to sleep more.
He invites kids he knows don’t have many friends to have dinner and lunch and breakfast in his classroom whenever they’d like. He tries to make friends with some of them too, hoping to make their lives a little less lonely than his was.
He keeps an eye out for abusive home situations. He does his best to come up with excuses for those unfortunate students to stay at Hogwarts over breaks or to visit often over the summer. He tries to find them friends that will help them the way James helped Sirius and Regulus, and speaks to Mcgonogall about opening a home for these kids on campus. He does his best to be the parent he knows these kids don’t have, and is open about his own horrid past in hopes of getting some of them to fess up so he can help them better than he can without hearing it explicitly from their mouths.
He uses his Pensieve to collect happy memories of and for his students to reflect on when they need to and they sit in the corner of his classroom. (Among them are his wedding day to James and Lily, the day Harry was born, a couple playdates with the other Marauder children, Sirius and Remus’ wedding day, studying with Remus, pranking James with Sirius, Sirius and James asleep cuddled together with Remus on the couch in ugly Christmas sweaters, his son and many nieces and nephews playing dress-up, reading with Hermione and exploring with Luna and Newt, dancing with Draco (he likes to dance but was always ashamed to do it at the Malfoys), going on long drives with Regulus, the Blacks’ funeral (Regulus and Sirius performed a very gay stripper dance on top of their graves, it was beautiful), and many, many more.) Sometimes he can see his saddest students watching them and smiling, and their sad eyes twinkling make him smile.
He brings in a box of small kittens, puppies, and bunnies one day and lets them wander around the classroom. Some kids start crying because they haven’t felt this loved in years. After an incident with a bad potion and a rainbow puppy, he stops bringing them all out during class, but they’re there on the weekends and whenever a student needs to hug one (or borrow one, much to Mcgonogall’s chagrin).
He works to break down House biases and help students develop inter-House relationships and friendships. He wants every student to be proud of their House and not to treat anyone differently because of theirs. He creates (with Dumbledore, Sirius, and Regulus’ help) an annual House Pride, in which every student dresses up in their House colors and has their nails and skin painted and everyone is smiling and laughing and waving flags with their House emblems in the air. Even the teachers get in on it.
He stresses the importance of friendships, communication, and choices. He urges students not to make his mistakes by treating their friends well, talking about their feelings even if they’re ugly, and making the right choices in life for you and your loved ones, even if those choices are hard. He invites Lily in to talk about this too sometimes.
He sends out his Patronus every night to wander around the school. Often it comes back to him with nothing, but sometimes he can hear a student crying through it. He’ll instruct his doe to sit with the student until he gets there, and then he’ll walk around the castle, pretending to “accidentally” happen upon the crying student. He’ll sit with them until they’ve calmed down and listen if they want to talk and then take them to their dorm, bidding them goodnight and get well soon.
He gives students hugs when they want them. He didn’t want to originally, but Harry would greet him every class with a hug, and then one day Draco came in crying and attached himself to Severus like a sloth, so he patted him on the back and continued to hug him. Not long after, Hermione couldn’t figure out a potion and burst into tears out of frustration, turning and burying herself in his chest. After Luna wrapped her stick arms around his neck for no reason, Severus just accepted his fate and let his students hug him.
A lot of first years get scared in the hallways, since the staircases move and everywhere is incredibly crowded and they are oh so very small. Severus will often hold the hand of the most anxious ones for the first few weeks and walk them to class. Eventually they become more confident with the castle and themselves and stop needing it, but the occasional sixth year will slip their hand into his just because sometimes.
He walks around campus with students sometimes. He can tell when they’re nervous or sad or angry and he takes them on walks around the outskirts of campus and lets them vent. He also teaches them how to throw curses at the Whomping Willow just because (it’s for Remus but nobody’s gonna say it out loud).
He teaches students how to walk dramatically (as he should). He puts on student drag shows in the Great Hall with James’ help (who always kisses him way too enthusiastically because of it) and Dumbledore’s permission (so long as he gets to be the finale). The students work with Sirius on their drag looks and Sirius and Remus both join in the drag show for the opening act. Sirius’ job is to design and create the students’ looks while Remus tells them they look pretty and tames their stage fright. Severus just sits in the audience smirking while Lily screams in delight. (Regulus also shrieks with excitement eventually, though he does usually spend the first half trying to look disinterested.) (Peter’s job is to get the cookies and sweets (and underage alcohol).)
He turns into his snake Animagus form sometimes without warning when his students aren’t looking and just slithers around the classroom scaring the crap out of people. His favorite students are the ones brave enough to pet him. Harry and Newt are the only ones brave enough (and allowed) to wind him around their shoulders. Severus and Harry sometimes have conversations in Parseltongue.
He invents spells to help with dyslexia and other learning disabilities in his spare time. When he’s done with that he plans to try looking into some cures to mental illness. He’s thinking possibly a potion that treats PTSD by replacing traumatic memories with pictures of puppies, unicorns, bunnies, cats, and parrots. What do you think?
He tries hard to come up with solutions and modifications to his lessons for students with ADHD. He often talks to James about what the best steps to take are because James has ADHD. (So does Sirius, but his insecurities are bad enough that he won’t talk about it with anyone but Remus and James.)
He plays the violin sometimes during tests and uses Sonorus to make it echo throughout the classroom. Occasionally he cancels class and just plays until most of his students fall asleep. Those who want to work on extra work can, but he tries to keep their stress and general teenage angst to a minimum. (Though he encourages the emo phase.)
One of the first things he does after the Prank is get to work on a lycanthropy solution for Remus. After a couple years he invents the wolfsbane potion, but it doesn’t quite do the trick. Eventually he manages to figure out the cure, and when Remus finds out he cries so hard he can’t breathe right for days. (Sirius also cries. So does James. And Peter. And Lily and Regulus and Mcgonogall. Seriously, everyone cried and everyone hugged him and Severus tried to get away by transforming into his snake form but toddler Harry just grabbed him and refused to let go, so that didn’t work.) (He also helps Remus become a wolf Animagus when he asks almost a year later.)
He teaches certain kids Occlumency and Legilimency after school. It’s strictly for kids he knows come from abusive homes, whether they’re open about it or not, so they can tell when it’s going to be a bad night and get away or protect themselves. He teaches Occlumency for those who need to hide things from their parents (like Sirius and Regulus used to) and Legilimency to all, just in case. He focuses on stealth and untraceable versions of the craft to earn the kids as much time and protection as he can.
He figures out how to remove the Dark Mark from his own arm after the war. The next person he calls is Regulus, whose he also removes. He writes down the entire process and when the war starts up again, he keeps an eye out for students suddenly wearing long sleeves. He speaks with those he does find and helps them to make the right choice and join the right side of the war, starting with removing that horrid tattoo. (Draco bawls uncontrollably when Severus removes his.)
When they do the lesson on Veritaserum, he’s extra careful to make sure students don’t test it, especially on themselves or their friends. It, along with Amortentia, is the most guarded potion in his stash. The only times he uses it is when a student from an abusive home is too scared to tell him what’s going on, in which case he finds them somewhere private, asks them if they’d be okay with it and if so which teacher they want to be there to ask the questions (usually Remus, Sirius, or himself), and then administers the potion and leaves or begins to ask yes or no questions. It’s helped a lot of kids escape their families.
He tries to ease trepidations about himself early in the school year, since he’s aware he can be intimidating and the rampant stories regarding his time under Voldemort (though entirely as a spy) do not help. His friendships with Remus and Sirius often serve to alleviate students’ fears though, as they tend to tell embarrassing stories about him from their own Hogwarts days that make him seem more human (and make him want to strangle them, but that’s neither here nor there).
Every year, he works with Remus and Lily to arrange Muggleborn Pride. It’s an incredibly popular event with tons of Muggle inventions and artifacts floating through the air over students’ heads. At any time they can reach up and pull one down to study it. Many students dress as their favorite Muggle icons and characters. Because of this, Muggleborn students are more comfortable being who they are than ever before. (Some have even reclaimed the word Mudblood by setting up mud pits during their Pride.) (They also have more Slytherin Muggleborns now than any other time in recorded history.)
He tells Regulus’ story to every class of students, to teach them what true bravery is and how love and family, even if not blood, can change the course of history. Regulus survived his encounter with the Horcruxes and worked to destroy them and eventually Voldemort, but now lives away from the public eye in a secluded part of Muggle London. He and Severus are friends and visit often, and Regulus will occasionally come back to Hogwarts to say hello to his brother and mum (Remus), but for the most part he keeps his life intensely private. He allows his family to tell his story because he wants other kids to know they are not alone and that there is a way out, and that you are not a bad person for things you did in your childhood. Severus does his best to do it justice.
He has incredibly loud arguments with Dumbledore until he finally agrees to implement sex ed as a mandatory class at Hogwarts. Severus works with the other Marauders on the curriculum and they try to include multiple angles and identities in their lesson plan. At first they try to trust Remus with it, but Remus doesn’t go anywhere without Sirius who is less than tactful and Remus himself has some deadpan sarcasm and a lack of shame to rival James Potter’s, so. They try Lily. She can’t stop giggling. Finally they beg Regulus to come back and teach it. He’s surprisingly… perfect for the job. (He steals parenting books from Amir, that’s his secret.)
When James visits, everything becomes chaos for a bit. While he mostly hangs out with Sirius and Remus and causes trouble with them, he certainly seems to enjoy sitting in the back of Severus’ classroom and bothering him during lessons. The only way to get him to leave is to turn into a snake and wind himself around his shoulders, which makes James shriek and sputter and run away (James has always had an irrational fear of snakes; odd that he married one then, innit?). But when James isn’t causing chaos, he’s following Severus around adoringly and grabbing at his hand, whispering jokes in his ear and kissing his cheek. Despite all of the times he’s a pain in the ass, there are always these little moments that remind Severus why he fell in love with him in the first place (entirely unwillingly and with much stubborn pride on both ends, but, well. It is what it is and they got here eventually, so that’s all that matters).
When Lily visits, everything is calm. She reigns all of the Marauders in and forces them to have picnics under the tree where they all used to do homework. She often holds Severus’ hand and dances with him there, turning his insides to useless goo. She’s always full of laughter and fairy bells, and though she makes every student question their priorities and life decisions, she’s a favorite of them all. Not a day goes by that someone doesn’t pull him aside and say, “You’re a lucky, lucky man.” (Or, in James’ case: “Fuck, love, how’d we bloody manage that?” (Severus just shrugs. It’s not like he knows.))
He helps kids with autism feel more like they belong. He also works to educate non-autistic students how to better socialize and respect those who are, and takes extra care to dispel myths about autism and its causes, effects, and characteristics. Lily helps when she can.
Above all, Severus tries to give his students the education he never had. Anything he can provide for them he will. He’s been given a second chance and by Merlin is he going to bloody use it.

Twilight lullaby
This is my participation for @drarrymicrofic "Lullaby" prompt. Hope you'll like it 🥰
Wc : 1080
The mission went wrong and Harry knew it the moment he woke up in the middle of nowhere. He didn't know how he could have been in a forest, and the night time didn't help him to see something recognizable. He tried to get up but something also went wrong.
The last thing he could remember was the bright light of the curse. Ron had told Harry to be careful but this time he didn't listen and went into the hideout. Harry huffed and started to walk around the trees, he had to go home. He had to tell Draco he's alive. He had to..
How can I tell him it's me?
Harry growled in frustration, his tail whipping the ground angrily. He started to run until dawn. He was tired and hungry. His magic wasn't working, even the wandless spell didn't work. Harry kept walking even though his paws hurtings and his body was sore and tireless. But he couldn't sleep. He didn't even try to. Harry couldn't sleep alone. Not in 5 years. Not since the war.
Hermione was so desperate by his sleepiness that she asked for the best healer she knew and of course, it had to be Malfoy. Harry wasn't up to giving his sleeping problems to the git but after many attempts, Malfoy found the miracle cure. Music. Not simple music. Draco's music.
After that day, Harry went to Draco's cabinet to sleep, and then they bonded. Only after a month did they move in together. Now, it was the first day he wasn't home. The first day he was alone. Without Draco.
Without thinking he started to howl the song. Their songs. And with that, a bright golden ghosty wolf appeared in front of Harry. At first he thought he turned mad. Or was too tired that he could see things. But it wasn't the case because the wolf started walking and then stopped, making sure Harry was following him.
After four day Harry finally arrived around the cottage.
Home.
The ghost wolf bowed a single time before disappearing in the twilight sky. How he managed to know where Harry lived was a mystery but the ex-Gryffindor was thankful.
When he approached the house there were no lights. The environment didn't feel safe. The shadows were more dark, the house looked so big and the twilight colour didn't feel like a blessing but more like a curse. Harry turned around the house to find a way to enter but no opened door or windows. Like if he could enter through a window with this body anyway. This time he could look at himself through the reflection in one of the windows.
A big black wolf, with a light mark on his forehead. It was a lighting scar.
This will follow me in every form.
Harry huffed again and decided to wait in the garden. His eyes started to sting and his paws were bloody by the night and day of the walk. Like a good wolf, he started to lick the wounds then did his bath by licking his fur. It was like he had always meant to be a wolf, it felt so natural to do that. Maybe his animagus form would be a wolf. Something like Sirius animagus. Or Remus' curse.
I have almost all marauders traits now.
Harry's tail whipped happily. That's what he thought until he heard the knowing sound of someone aparating.
Draco!
Harry got up and started to go to the front door. The ex-Slytherin was there. Harry thought it was his chance and barked instinctively, like a dog welcoming his master.
But the effect wasn't what Harry wanted. Draco turned around, his face distorted by surprise, fear and anger.
"What the fuck?" Said Draco, branding his wand to Harry. "Get out of here you stupid beast !"
Harry jumped on his side to dodge a spell. Never in his life he thought Draco could possibly hurt an animal.
Well, he almost had Buckhead killed.
Remembering Harry. But even now that Draco was a healer, he never meant harm to anyone. No one in years.
What did happened?
And then he saw. The eyes. Red and teary eyes.
"Oh Draco, Darling. I'm here!" But all Harry did was barking.
Draco jumped again, threw another spell before getting inside his house and locked the door. Harry tried to follow but a Protego Totallum made him back away.
Harry whined. All he wanted was to take his lover in his paws and tell him he was there. He was there.
"I'm here Darling!" Bark Harry. But nothing changed.
The night came quickly and now Harry didn't know what to do. He was home but his lover didn't even look at him, the doors were closed and he knew he wouldn't be able to sleep again.
Maybe he'll set up the lullaby tonight.
Hoped Harry but at a certain moment, all the light went off. Draco went to bed. No music. Harry whined again.
Then he howled.
And again.
And again.
Without noticing he's doing the lullaby. It was like even the wind joined him in concert. Suddenly the light in their room went on and the shadows of Draco passing by the window made Harry stop in his tracks in wonder.
Draco opened the window in hurry and looked intensely in the wolf's green eyes. Harry barked again, his tail whipped in the air, pleading for the blond to recognize him.
"Harry..?" Whispered Draco.
Harry heard him and barked again.
"Yes! Yes! It's me, Draco! Look at me!"
Draco stepped back and Harry whined a little until he heard the piano. Then the Harp.
"Yes! Our song! It's our lullaby!" Bark Harry.
He howled in rhythm until Draco went out by the door and ran toward the wolf.
"Harry ! Merlin Harry!" He hugged the beast who was literally bigger than any other dog they knew.
"I found you! You're not dead! I found you!" Draco's tears made Harry's heart clenched in despair. "Oh Harry, Ronald was so worried when he lost you ! I was worried sick!"
Harry barked but it was weak, he couldn't really understand what was happening around him anymore. His mind started drifting away, his body seemed even louder and the music was relaxing.
"Oh Harry, you didn't sleep at all?" Whispered Draco while petting Harry's head. "Sleep my love, I'm taking care of you."
And then Harry finally slept. In his lover's arms with their lullaby.

💜 for Rosalyn with maybe Duncan
(I hope you don't mind me adding a random barnago fankid that only exists in an AU 🙈)
Rosa opens the door to the artifact room with a sigh. "What is it now-"
And though Rosalyn was expecting trouble, rarely Oberon called anything an emergency, those usually came from Teddy, the scene is a tad weirder than she had expected, on the corner of the room sat a boy with a pumpkin over his head with two unevenly sized holes for eyes and only his loose Ravenclaw tie and white skin for characterization, yet she didn't have to ask to know who it was.
In the centre, her cousin paced in the constricted space, coming to a stop when he sees her. "Oh, great, you came- Why you have a toad on yer head?"
"I was taking him out on a walk when I received your owl."
Oberon pokes the toad who seems to be sleeping, gripping her hair for stability. "You take your toad on walks?"
"Is that Rosalyn!?" The boy exclaims, the German accent clear even with his voice muffled by the pumpkin. "I can't believe you called her!"
"Well, well, I'm glad I'm welcomed!"
"I said I called help! You're often the one with these types of ideas, I thought you might have an idea on how to solve it."
"Seriously, Obby? It's such a silly spell, I bet you can undo it yourself!"
"The problem is, this isn't Melofors! If that was the case, I could just smash his head against the wall and it'd all be fine-"
"Excuse me-"
"-but this dumbass is wearing an actual pumpkin!" He finishes knocking on it. "Which he made near indestructible."
"How?"
"I adapted a shielding spell, I can teach you later if you get me the fuck out of this!"
Rosa knows it'll be for nothing, but for her amusement takes the fruit and shakes it just for the fun of it. "Indeed, it's stuck."
He waves her hands away. "What a keen eye!"
"How did you get it in there in the first place?"
"I shrunk my head and waited for the spell to wear out while inside the pumpkin, otherwise it would slip out."
"May I ask why you did it?"
"I wanted to see if I'd be able to make a helmet combining a breakable pumpkin and a shielding spell. And it worked."
"Can you ever use your head for something reasonable? You could change the world, but nooo."
"Will you bully me or will you help?"
"Can't you just shrink him again?"
"I dinnae ken what spell he used to make this thing indestructible, but it's also working as a barrier on him. Just look."
Oberon takes a stance perfectly before performing a Flipendo that deflects from Duncan's chest and hits the wall above their heads with a smoke stain. He also tries an Incendio that ends in mere sparks.
"See? Nothing."
"Awesome right!? I'd keep this on forever, the problem is I can't eat, I can't perform spells for some reason, and oh, I am close to suffocating."
"Perhaps, we should just allow natural selection to do its job, don't you think?"
Oberon takes her arm. "Rosa, please. Flitwick must cry at night because of him and this week was going so well..."
"I'll give you all the candy I get from Hallowen!"
"You hate candy."
"And I could give it to anyone else!"
She rolls her eyes.
"Please, Murk, think of something, it's starting to get slimy and gross in here."
She taps the toad on her head with a laugh. "That's it! Slimy and gross!"
"Ha, I don't like the sound of that..."
"Me neither."
"What's more slimy and gross than your animagus form, huh? The octopus must be small enough to fall through."
"First, I am offended, second, that's a great idea." He rubs his hands together. "Okay, Onion, hold it for me."
Oberon does so with a eye roll and within a heartbeat they watch him fall to the ground with a blobbery sound, the brown octopus almost camouflaged against the wooden floor. The scene is bizarre as they watch him turn back into a boy, head covered with remnants of slimy pumpkin guts.
"Ha! It worked!"
She holds her hips and looks at her cousin. "See? Us Gryffindors aren't as stupid as you claim."
"I never said Gryffindors were stupid, if I did mum would have some things to say."
Duncan wraps his arms around her, kissing her cheek loudly and making pieces of pumpkin fall on her. "You're the smartest, Murk."
"Get off me!"
"C'mere! Let me thank you!"
She hold out her hands. "Keep your promise and that'll be enough. Ugh, you get me some good candy."
The two Ravenclaws watch as she walks out, taking her toad in her hands checking if any pieces of guts had fallen on it.
"Thanks for not telling her it was me who called," Duncan says.
"You played the part quite well. But maybe you should just be sincere, lassies like when you consider them important."
"They do, but not when you have yourself stuck inside a pumpkin!" He taps Oberon's cheek. "Oreo, you might have the face but I have the technique."

Remus Lupin X Reader: Whispers
Tumblr media
Summary: What happens when a late night study session leads to some alone time with your crush.
Word count: 1,6K
Being at Hogwarts was something truly amazing. You would never be able to deny that. Nevertheless, being in your fifth year was proving itself rather challenging. This was due to you and your classmates taking your O.W.L.S, which would be a big factor in what you would do after leaving school.
Another part of the equation was that your friend group were delinquents, more than once you had caught yourself wondering how you had befriended the Marauders. For one, they never seemed to care very much about their academics (except for Remus who seemed to be the only one who understood you were in a school rather than a playground) whereas you cared about your grades immensely. However, this didn’t mean you were only obsessed with succeeding, like any other teenager you couldn't help but want a taste of being rebellious.
This, you had concluded, was the reason behind your unlikely friendship with the four boys.
You were currently sitting by the window in the boy’s dormitory (you had sneaked in with the help of James invisibility cloak) rereading for what felt like the eighth time the same sentence in your Guide to Advanced Transfiguration. You had all been studying since the moment you had set foot out of your last class, which had ended around three o’clock, in a rather futile attempt to cram as much studying as possible before the dreaded exams. Your eyes left the page for a second to rest a bit before trying once again to understand what you had been reading for over an hour now. However, the moment they had left the page you knew they would not be returning to their previous destination too soon. For the scene they had caught was much more interesting.
Peter was slumped onto one of the bed pillars trying and failing to keep his eyes open for more than a couple seconds, to his right James’s head was leaning onto Sirius’s shoulder his glasses threatening to fall at any second and then there was Sirius whose mouth was open wide and letting small snores escape occasionally.
The scene made you give a small chuckle before turning to point out to Remus the iconic moment he was missing, only to see that he himself was also sleeping quietly. His face on one of the many books you needed to study. You couldn’t help but smile. You had always liked the caramel haired boy a bit more than the other three, which you felt would always be seen as nothing more than friends. Remus on the other hand was quite a different story. From the moment you had laid eyes on him in your third year you knew you were in big trouble. You stayed watching him sleep for a few minutes before deciding to close your book rather forcefully in an attempt to make yourself known. It had worked quite well, causing Peter to not only wake up but turn into his Animagus form from the fright, Sirius had hit James on the face due to his closeness causing James to wake up holding his cheek in his hand, a very confused look on his face.
“I think we should take a break. We won’t get much work done if none of us can stay awake.”
“You are a bloody genius.” Sirius, who had now fully awake and wasted no time to get back to his flirty self, said coming close towards you and kissing your cheek lightly.
“Of that my dear Padfoot, I was already aware.”
“God I’m hungry.” Peter announces rubbing his stomach
“When aren’t you hungry mate?” James replied, causing you all to laugh.
“How about you three go down to the kitchens and ask the house elves for some food.”
“And what if they refuse?”
“They won’t, but if by a miracle they do just say I sent you. They seem to like me a lot for some reason.”
“Can’t really blame them, Love. You’re an angel.” Sirius said, leaning his head on your shoulder.
“Well, your angel is hungry and in need of food, so... off you go.”
Sirius gave a sigh but got up and headed to the door where the others were already waiting, the invisibility cloak in hand, still slightly asleep.
“What about Remus?” questioned Peter just at the door.
“Oh, let him rest. He’s had a rough month with studying and his furry problem.” You replied looking tenderly at the boy's sleeping form.
With that, the boys put on the cloak and slipped quietly out the door leaving you alone in the quiet dormitory. Since Remus was out like a light and the others would take a while to come back you decided to clean the place a bit in the hopes it would help you all to concentrate better. You had been picking up used books from the floor and placing them in the bookshelf when you heard a small grunt from the desk in which Remus slept. There was no doubt in your mind that his current position was not only horrible for his back but also rather uncomfortable. You put the books left in your hand onto James' bed and headed to the desk.
“Rem?” you questioned, receiving only a small grunt in return.
“Remus love, come on let’s get you to bed.”
At the mention of bed, Remus raised his head a little, opening his eyes slightly to look in your direction.
“Hi.” You said quietly
“Is it time to get up?”
“No love, it’s still too early for class.” You replied looking at the clock that now read 2:05.
He lowered his head back onto the table taking your response as an okay to keep sleeping.
“Rem come on. You can keep sleeping but let’s get you in bed first. Okay?”
He nodded slowly before raising himself from the chair, leaning onto you for help and directing you to his own bed. The moment you arrived. He fell dramatically onto the mattress. You gave out a small laugh before raising his feet and covering him with the red sheets.
Maybe it was the lighting the moon was making into the room or perhaps it was the fact that you had never seen him in such a vulnerable position, but your heart could not help but beat slightly faster at the pure sight of Remus. His hair falling onto his face, the light scars on his shoulder and face reflecting in the light. It was at that moment that you knew that you were in fact in love with him and nothing in the world would ever change that. You wanted nothing more then to kiss each scar on his face and knowing that perhaps this would be your only chance you reluctantly did so. You began with the one on his cheek so that if he by any chance woke up it would be easily be taken as a friendly good night kiss, although that was never going to be its true meaning.
Remus did not move at all when your lips touched his skin ever so lightly, so you kept going, kissing each scar until there was only one left. A small cut just on top of his lip. You thought that if maybe, just maybe, you kissed him on the lips your mind would stop wondering what it would feel like. However you were very mistaken, for the moment you removed your lips from his you wished you had kept them there a bit longer.
Seeing as Remus had not shown any signs of waking up you put your lips to his ears and whispered what came to your mind every time you saw him.
“I love you Remus Lupin.”
You got up to resume placing the scattered books into their rightful place when you felt a firm grip on your wrist. Turning to face the hands owner and mentally cursing yourself for having been stupid enough to believe he would not have heard your declaration.
“Do you really?” Remus, who was now very much awake, asked.
“I don’t know what you mean.”
You hoped you could spin it into looking like in his sleepy state Remus had imagined you confessing your feelings. Rather than facing the inevitable rejection you were about to receive.
“So, you’re going to tell me that you didn’t just kiss me and then tell me you loved me?”
Your cheeks flushed at his words and being too embarrassed to look at him you directed your eyes to the floor.
“Hey, look at me.”
You shook your head saying no and tried to remove his grip from your wrist, however he was much stronger than you and your attempt was not working.
“Please.” He said softly
You could never say no to him when he spoke like that, and he was perfectly aware of it. You raised your red face to look into his eyes, hoping that he would be gentle as he shattered your heart into pieces.
“Did you mean it?”
“Yes…” you replied softly, while trying not to let the tears fall from your eyes.
“Good.”
For a moment you were not sure you had heard him correctly but then his lips were on yours and you were sure your ears had not deceived you. Remus broke the kiss, taking your face in his hand before looking into your eyes and saying.
“And I am in love with you.”
You were leaning in to kiss him once more when you heard a wolf whistle coming from the door followed by the sound of feet coming into the room.
“Told you Moony could get it, you owe me five gallons James!” Sirius declared, putting his hand out.
You smiled at your friends before pecking Remus on the lips once more.
What a perfect night.

A/N: so.. this is more of a character study on sirius & his dynamic with his family – i know this song is meant to be about a woman but it also screams sirius to me. i’m a sucker for romance so it’s a reader-insert. fun fact, i was almost done writing this when i realized i wanted it to be a wolfstar fic, but i was too lazy to change it, so just putting that out as a concept lol. let me know what you think & if you’d like me to tag you in future works!!

When Sirius first showed signs of his rebellious nature, Walburga wasn’t worried. After all, many children were incapable of sitting still in large gatherings, mouthing off to their parents, or incessantly teasing their younger siblings. “He will be kept in good company. He will learn,” Walburga would say to her husband. He often exasperated her, but there was no denying her immense pride. Despite his antics, even at a young age, Sirius displayed impressive magical ability and had a commanding presence – excellent qualities for the heir to the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black.
She worried only a little when he preferred to spend time with Andromeda, who was clearly becoming disillusioned with their family values, and Alphard, who Walburga believed was beginning to get a little too soft. Still, the Blacks were not raving lunatics. They were traditionalists, committed to upholding the high standards of Wizarding society. Sirius would not defy them, not when the weight of their bloodline rested on his shoulders, not when Regulus would never be able to stomach such responsibility.
On his first night at Hogwarts, Sirius didn't write home. It wasn’t until the morning after that Narcissa delivered the dreadful news to her mother. Walburga’s sister-in-law relished discussing this most recent embarrassment, as the family’s attention was now off her daughter’s courtship of a mudblood. Young Sirius, their direct heir, was sorted into the House of Muggle-lovers and blood traitors, into the House of Godric Gryffindor.
Blown apart by this development, Walburga turned to her younger son. She had no intention of repeating her mistakes and resolved to train him for the responsibility that should have belonged to her eldest. That way, if she was unable to correct Sirius’s behavior, she had back-up. Her legacy was secure.
During every subsequent holiday, she noticed that the damage was getting more-and-more irreversible. Sirius unabashedly consorted with infamous blood traitors and pathetic half-bloods. He seemed to dread seeing his family as much as she dreaded seeing how much of him she had lost. She tried; no one could say she didn’t. But she was too stern with him. He had inherited his flexibility, or lack thereof, from her. She pushed him too far away. Soon, he stopped returning home for Christmas. When he was sixteen, she spat at him as he closed the door to Number 12 Grimmauld Place one last time, without sparing her a final glance.
He never expected he would have to return. Offering up the property to the Order seemed like a good idea at the time – he hardly put any thought into it. That was how he made most of his decisions. His track record certainly proved so. When Remus didn’t have anywhere to stay, and neither did the newly-reformed Order of the Phoenix, Sirius knew that his family estate in London was not just their most ideal option, but also the only one they had.
He managed to enter undetected in his Animagus form with Remus. He had to hand it to fate – there were no extra security measures to keep him out. It was as if she anticipated his arrival. Swallowing, he absorbed his surroundings. Despite the eerie silence and decomposing furniture, it looked like an image straight from his memory. Sirius suddenly felt sixteen again.
What he did not expect to see, however, was a currently-sleeping life-sized portrait of Walburga Black in the hallway. Though now in his human form, Sirius growled inadvertently. She knew. She always knew that he would come back. She wanted to be there when he did. Unbelievable, he thought to himself.
Aware of Remus’s wary gaze on him, Sirius walked forward and began pulling on the frame. “Get off, you hag! Remus, help me get this off!”
Remus went to join his old friend in what seemed like a fruitless mission in his mind but came to an abrupt halt when the portrait, disturbed by her son’s grunts, awoke in a flash of fury. “Filth! Scum! Abomination of my flesh! You are no son of mine,” portrait-Walburga hissed.
“Shut up, just shut up!” He had not heard her voice since he was near a Dementor, reliving the worst of his teenage years. The visual made it much, much worse.
“Permanent Sticking Charm, it seems…” Remus said to appease his friend, pulling the withering velvet curtains over its towering frame with all his strength.
“This is torture,” sighed Sirius. “Maybe we can find another place.”
Remus refused to meet his eye. “For now, it is all we have, Sirius. If it was going to be a problem, you should not have offered it to Professor Dumbledore.”
Sirius frowned. “It’s all I’m able to do this time around. It’s not like I can go around trailing Death Eaters and infiltrating the Ministry with everyone else.”
“Hopefully, it’s only temporary,” assured Remus, though he was equally as uncertain about Sirius’s fate as a fugitive. “Try not to let this place get into your head, okay?”
Sirius Black was never good at keeping promises. He had three-and-a-half decades of evidence to back that up. In the weeks following, the Order settled in, consisting of many highly competent Aurors, half-a-dozen Weasleys, and an ex-Death Eater he could do without seeing. Sirius found himself never too far from alcohol, itching for more access. He longed to see Harry and to get away from his wretched house-elf, along with the constant, stinging reminder of his mother's existence.
But there was something else inside of him, something he couldn’t describe. It was an emotion that was egging him on. He felt it inside of him every time Kreacher muttered complaints about wandering red-headed blood traitor brats. It swirled in his stomach when his mother shouted scathing insults at the clumsy half-blood and filthy half-breed that took temporary refuge in the former pure-blood paradise.
Then she came.
She was new. She worked at the Ministry; many of his houseguests were incredibly fond of her. He recognized the innocence in her eyes. It was the same innocence that he had when he first joined the Order seventeen years earlier. It was the same innocence that differentiated every new member from every returning one – they had yet to see tragedy in its fullest form.
“Hello,” she greeted. She seemed strangely unperturbed by the fact that she was in the presence of an alleged mass murderer. “I’m (Y/N). I’ve been told this is your house. Thank you for playing host.”
“My pleasure,” responded Sirius. Involuntarily, he reached for her hand and kissed it. Suddenly, he became painfully aware of his hollowing cheeks, untamed hair, and liquor-infused breath.
She flushed slightly at the gesture. Black family habits die hard. Just because he chose to refrain from practicing them did not mean he had forgotten, nor did it mean that he wasn’t any good at them.
Walburga Black’s portrait watched her son fall in love with her. Sirius watched her watch him. There was no telling how she would react. Regulus was dead – it was up to him to preserve their family’s name and purity.
(Y/N) was witty and flirty and incredibly intelligent. He found himself feeling a decade younger as he enjoyed their banter and her overall easiness. Before long, she kissed him in his dimly-lit pantry, and he was too selfish to stop her. They would kiss in every corner of the house, hardly caring that anyone was watching, ignoring the ghosts living within the walls. For Sirius, (Y/N) was his greatest act of defiance. She was born to non-magic parents. As narrated by a disgruntled Kreacher to his now-helpless mistress, she was nothing but a “filthy mudblood.”
One night, weeks after the children departed for Hogwarts and the house was, as on most days, empty, he caught her staring at the Black family tapestry. Without making a sound, he inched behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. “Hello, beautiful,” he whispered, pressing a kiss on her shoulder. “Sickle for your thoughts?”
She leaned into him. As the days went on, she would tire easily. Still, she found happiness in Sirius as he did with her, and they both were old enough to know to reach for it in any capacity they got. “It’s nothing. It’s stupid. Let’s get to bed.”
“As much as I’m a fan of that idea,” he started with a smirk, “you look upset. Is it work? Fudge?”
“No, nothing like that.” Her fingers traced his blasted name on the wall. She looked thoughtful. “I’ve just… noticed something about you.”
“Oh yeah? What’s that?”
“The way you look at your mother.”
Sirius raised an eyebrow. “Well, it’s no secret that I hate her. I hope that’s not off-putting. You’ve seen what she’s like – it was worse when she was alive. I promise I’m a gentleman in general circumstances… for the most part,” he added cheekily.
She smiled tightly. “No, I get it. It must be terrible for you, being back here.”
“It is,” he affirmed. “I’ve got you, though. You make me happier than anything, love.”
“That’s the thing,” she uttered as if it pained her. Sirius could stare at her fiery expression for days on end. To be on the receiving end was strange. “I can’t help but think that you’re only in love with me to spite her. Like your feelings aren’t love, they’re just a culmination of your hatred for her.”
It took Sirius an eternity to process what she just said. Realizing that he was not going to say anything, she continued. “Believe me, I know you hate it here. But at the same time, you look so… satisfied. You’re hosting a bunch of blood traitors, half-bloods, and a werewolf in this place that was once the pinnacle of blood purity. You’re providing a haven against the bloody Dark Lord. And worst of all, you’re with a mudblood.”
“Don’t call yourself that,” interrupted Sirius harshly.
“It’s the truth. If you weren’t in this position, would we even be together?”
“Of course,” said Sirius. To answer this question, he didn’t even have to think. “I love you because you’re you. You’re beautiful and smart and make me laugh until my stomach hurts. You’re so good with Harry and you can put anyone in their place. You make me feel new again… God, that’s fucking sappy, but it’s true. I indeed hate this place and I hate her but… but if I let her dictate my choices, even when she’s bloody dead, then she’s won. I don’t want her to win. If I was only with you for your blood status, then I would be no different from my mother.”
She stared up at him, her eyes betraying a wave of emotions. She reached up to kiss him, tangling her fingers in his hair. “Thank you for saying all of that. Just hold on for a little while, alright? Soon, we’ll be out of here. We can have our own house – you, me, and Harry.”
He smiled at her sadly. It seemed too unreachable of a goal to him at the moment. “By the beach?” “Wherever you’d like,” she answered, leading him to his bedroom, his only sanctuary in the horrible house.
As they made their way towards the stairs, Sirius glanced at the tapestry over his shoulder, at the seven generations of Blacks behind him. He gently squeezed (Y/N)’s hand. For the first time in his entire life, he felt the weight of carrying his name lift off him. He’d done his part to corrupt his bloodline. It was time for Sirius to focus on himself in a way that the shadows of his past never allowed him to, even in his schoolboy days with James. Being a Black was a part of who he was, and even a disowned Black deserved his long-overdue happiness.

Tumblr media
As [y/n] felt her eyes heavy and starting to close as an instinct, she dropped her quill at the table and rubbed her eyes on the hardest way possible (without hurting herself, obviously) to take all the sleepiness far away from the bloody busy girl she has been being the last couple of weeks.
After a long breath, [y/n] grabbed the quill again and came back to the essay Slughorn had asked for everyone - except for his dearest students fucking dipshit - to the next class. Well, he had asked for this essay more than a week ago, but just as [y/n] started to read the book about the topic asked, the full moon got before she had time to think anything related to classes.
The Marauders never let her help them outside, so [y/n] would always wait for them at the common room, but this one was by far the worst of the year. Remus had transformed before they got to the safe place in the forest and where he couldn't come back to Hogwarts and attack people there, so they (basically James and Sirius, because Peter couldn't help much on his animagus form) had to contain him the farthest away from the castle, what caused a lot more bruises than the expected.
[y/n] first helped an almost-passing-out Remus, who couldn't remember what happened outside but was feeling so bad with himself that not even all of them made him feel a little bit better. Then, after Moony and Wormtail went to sleep, [y/n] helped James and Sirius with their worst bruises and cuts until the very late night.
Besides the fact that [y/n] was tutoring a third-year in Charms almost every day (because, oh, the little boy needed help with the new spells...), McGonnagal had been overwhelming her with Prefect duties. It wasn’t on purpose, Minerva just never thought that it was too much for her because [y/n] never said anything and always accepted any challenge.
But the girl was so overwhelmed…
The first one to notice was Marlene. She saw how [y/n] was barely getting any hours of sleep by being awake in the middle of the night plenty of times with the girl cursing under her breath while getting something wrong on the paper. Then Marlene talked to Lily, who is a heavy sleeper and didn't notice the missing hours of sleep from their best-friend.
After Marlene talked to Lily about [y/n], the red-headed started to notice the big bags under [y/n]'s eyes, the tiredness on her voice, how she dressed the first clothes that appeared in front of her, the way she was always looking so stressed over something that no one could point to…
Lily then, warned Sirius about how his girlfriend needed his help more than ever and she also told him to not ask her if she wanted his help to anything, because the fucking stubborn woman would never accept help from anyone else.
And when Sirius saw [y/n] almost crying with angriness over her essay at the other side of the common room, he knew that was the moment he should act as the perfect boyfriend he was and help his love. Ignoring all the questioning looks the other three Marauders sent on his way by suddenly getting up and forgetting all about the prank they were planing on a few Slytherins, Sirius got up from the chair he was sitting at and walked in the direction of [y/n].
As the girl started to write again with her quill and the harder part being to keep her eyes open, Sirius sat on the chair beside her making [y/n] jump in surprise. "My God..." She muttered with her hand above her heart and trying to calm it down.
"Sorry for the little scare, love," Sirius said and grabbed [y/n]'s quill from her hand and closed her book before she could even protest. "but now, I'm taking you to bed..." Sirius started putting all [y/n]'s belongings on her bag while she tried to hold a few things back and protest with him, but Sirius wouldn't just give up.
Just when he had finished, Sirius began listening to her. "What the fuck, Sirius?!" The girl said furiously at her boyfriend, that gulped with her angry expression. "I need to finish this essay today! What do you think you're doing?" Sirius didn't give himself the work to answer all the questions she was throwing at him, but just threw her over his shoulder instead. "Sirius Orion Black put me down right now! I swear I'm gonna kill you, you bastard!" [y/n] screamed at him, while struggling to make him put her back down.
"[y/n] [y/l/n], shut up and let me take care of you." He simply said and she just groaned out in frustration, [y/n/n] knew that whatever she did to make him put her down wouldn't work, and just let him take her to wherever Sirius wanted for her to be.
Sirius started to walk towards the girls’ dormitory but just as he stepped his foot, the stairs became a slider and he found himself being grateful that he wouldn't be able to take [y/n] to her dorm, where there were plenty of tired girls already sleeping. So he turned around and walked upstairs to his still empty dorm with [y/n] over his left shoulder and her bag over his right one.
The first thing he did after passing through his door was to put [y/n] down. "Thank God, I was becoming nauseated on that position..." She muttered under her breath when her feet touched the floor. "Why did you bring me here, Sirius?" [y/n] asked with a monotonous tone and sat at his bed, knowing that he wouldn't give [y/n]'s bag back to her.
"You need to rest my love..." He started while walking to his bed and standing in front of her but just as his girlfriend was going to protest with him, he continued. "Don't worry about your Potions essay, I'll finish that for you tomorrow while you take care of the tasks Minnie gave you… Just don't worry, ok?" Sirius asked with both of his hands on [y/n]'s cheeks, making her look at him right in the eyes and she softly nodded at him, already feeling her eyes heavy with his caring and loving touch.
In a matter of minutes [y/n] was wearing just one of Sirius' favourite muggle-band shirt and sleep shorts and Sirius was getting ready to bed with her.
Both of them laid on his bed, under the warm and comfy blankets and held each other as close as they could. "How long has it been that we didn't do this?" Sirius muttered with closed eyes and sleepy voice.
"I don't know… But I'm never letting you go again." [y/n] whispered back against his neck and softly sighed. "It feels like it's been years since I got relaxed like this for the last time..."
Sirius just hummed back at her, but too focused on her touch to care. [y/n]'s body was laying above his, with their legs tangled together, her head buried on the crook of his neck, his nose feeling her scent coming from her hair, her soft hands resting on his bare shoulders and his hands under her (his) shirt caressing her back.
"I love you." "I love you, my love."
[y/n] fell asleep in a question of seconds while Sirius was trying to memorize this feeling of their bodies pressed against each other.
It was in moments like this that Sirius knew that home wasn't a place where you lived and it was comfortable, home was a person who you can always ask for help when needed and it doesn't matter where you'll feel like you're home.
[y/n] is Sirius' home and he couldn't be more grateful to be hers.

3 hours and 20 minutes || r.l
request: (i accidentally deleted the first bit, but i still have most of it!) Remus where it’s their birthday the next day and the reader really wants to stay up until midnight to celebrate but they just did their first animagus transformation with the boys at the full moon a few days ago, so they get really sleepy instead and end up falling asleep and being carried up to bed (possibly for sleepy cuddles?) I’m in a big cozy mood right now & I’m imagining the reader in Remus’ sweater mumbling things as he carries her up
pairing: remus lupin x genderneutral!reader
warnings: fluff
word count: 495 (sorry its a bit short)
“Moony, it’s my birthday in 3 hours and 24 minutes,” Y/N giggled, sitting on the couch in the Gryffindor common room in front of the fireplace. “Yes, Y/N, you’ve been doing a minute by minute countdown for 3 hours already,” Remus smiled over the edge of a DADA textbook from the couch opposite Y/N. Sure, it was a bit annoying, but he loved them.
“3 hours and 23 minutes, Moony,” they whispered, a mischievous smile on their face as they hid behind their sweater covered hands. “Y/N L/N!! How many times do I have to tell you, I know your birthday is coming up!!” he laughed, slightly annoyed, but loving their excitement.
A few days ago, it was even worse. Y/N had just done their first Animagus transformation with the rest of the boys, and had the time of their life. The only thing is, it sucked the energy right out of them and they were extremely tired now, even though it was a few days later.
Remus had noticed; they were constantly yawning, rubbing their eyes, walking around like an adorable zombie. “Y/N, I think you have to go to bed, darling,” he chuckled, but was also kinda worried that they weren’t getting enough sleep.
“Moony, I’m fine! Also, 3 hours and 20 minutes til’ my birthday!” A huge yawn and stretch followed that little statement, giving Remus a view of their lower belly when their (actually it was his) hoodie lifted up slightly. ‘Merlin, I love them,” he thought, standing up and rolling his eyes.
“Come on, up we go!” On ‘up’, he lifted them with ease and carried them to the dorms. “Now, pumpkin, do you want to sleep in my room tonight, or your own, hm?” he nuzzled his face into their neck, breathing in their intoxicating scent. “Yours, Moony,” they mumbled, sleep starting to take over. “Ok,” he hummed, turning left towards his dorm.
Once inside the cozy room, he laid them gently on the bed, covering you in dozens of blankets, knowing they ran cold when they slept. “3 hours and 19 minutes...” their voice trailing off as they drifted off. Remus giggled from behind them, scooching in behind them, always favouring being the big spoon.
“Moony, when’s my birthday?” their voice came out as more of a whisper, not having enough energy to form complete sentences or use their voice for that matter. “3 hours and 18 minutes, my love,” he whispered to the shell of their ear, making them shiver a bit. “Thanks,” they mumbled, sleepily.
He found them absolutely adorable this way; all sleepy, but still excited. ‘Wait until they find out what I have planned for them tomorrow!’ he thought to himself, a smile growing on his face.
“I love you, Y/N,” he whispered into their hair. “I love you, too, Remus,” they mumbled, a sleepy smile remaining on their face for the rest of the night.

Word count: 1,592... the goal is less than 1k but- | Warning/s: none | Contains: HP Universe, magic, Slytherin!Stiles, Slytherin!Theo. Was going to make this a separate thing, but it's been a while for this tag, so.
---
Having a newly-turned werewolf best friend is taking a toll on Stiles and it's showing - but he's also not about to abandon Scott to his predicament. What kind of a best friend would that make him? So, he spends most of his time now helping Scott through the shift; in remaining semi-conscious even as the moon pulls at his sanity, and in adapting to the enhancements of his senses. Stiles even brews the monthly supply of Wolfsbane potion himself, in the old girl's lavatory in the presence of Moaning Myrtle - the worst tattletale ghost in history. Luckily, Stiles is an expert at bribery. You'd think it was impossible to bribe a girl who's been dead forever, but goes to show how little you know about the world.
Stiles knows what he's committing to is risky, and Salazar Slytherin would have sneered at his display of severe lack of self-preservation if he could, but it wouldn't make a proper Slytherin of him if he turned down a challenge he believes he can win. And he can win this. In fact, he's winning so competently he's perfecting his animagus form without proper training or legal consent - both of which are required for all witches and wizards who wish to become one. It's his way of showing solidarity to his best friend. If his friend transforms into an animal, then he transforms into an animal as well. Albeit, of all animals, he chose a fox, and foxes and wolves tend not to get along. But eh, that's all right. There hasn't been an accident anyway... yet. Also, he has always wanted to do something illegal just to prove that he can get away with it. He always does something illegal, yes, but, like, hosting illicit parties in the Slytherin Common Room has nothing on becoming an unregistered animagus, isn't that right? This thing with Scott is an excellent opportunity to broaden his horizon.
But it doesn't mean it's not without consequences on his social life, physicality (he's still fit, mind you, just lost a few pounds, is all), and most of all, his studies. He knows his chances of usurping the first rank from Lydia is borderline impossible, but he would damn well do everything not to be that far behind her. If he has to settle with second place, he will do so with a hairsbreadth of space between them and nothing more.
But goddamn if he isn't bedraggled, half-unconscious, bloody hungry, and terminally late to his potions class today. None of which would help his academic goal. He'll have to fight tooth and nail to get that 0.5 difference again.
He's lucky it's his Head of House, Professor Laura Hale's class and not Deaton's (who would purse his lips in disapproval, take 5 points from Slytherin, and look at him disappointedly the whole day), Professor Derek Hale's (he would huff and let his eyebrows speak the 10 points he'd take from Slytherin, and make Stiles the dummy for whatever curse they were demonstrating that day), or god forbid, Harris's (he would happily take 50 points from Slytherin without batting his eyelash then and there). Professor Laura would only turn her head away and pretend not to notice Stiles awkwardly sliding onto the seat beside his potions partner.
Merlin, his potions partner. Theo "I know what you've been up to and you better well know I'm gonna use it as leverage when the time comes" Raeken. He can't, for the life of him, guess how Theo knew about the animagus thing when he'd been so careful. Then again, Theo isn't a Slytherin if he doesn't have bags of tricks up his sleeves. Theo has repeatedly hinted that he's aware, and it's another thing that keeps Stiles up at night - well, more than usual. Theo already keeps Stiles up at night without trying. Theo hasn't blabbered yet - Stiles doesn't have to worry about that, at least - because a proper Slytherin would always go the blackmail route. Honestly, Stiles is only waiting for the shoe to drop. It's not like he doesn't have blackmail material of his own against his infuriating housemate. If Theo ever opens his stupid mouth, Stiles will call him out on his hypocrisy. Because apparently, there are two unregistered animagi in Slytherin.
Panting, he enters the room and immediately meets Professor Laura's eyes over the busy heads of his classmates. Wordlessly, she smoothly shifts her gaze away and turns her back to "check" on the progress (or lack thereof) of some Hufflepuff fellow as if she didn't at all notice Stiles by the entryway. Taking the chance (the hint is what it is), he crosses the room towards his partner and exhales loudly in his seat.
Theo is stirring the pot, the concoction quietly bubbling, as he smirks down at Stiles with an all-knowing look. "Long night?"
The git, the absolute bloody bastard. He probably slept the prescribed 8 hours, the prat. Albeit... an attractive one at that. But still the biggest git of all, of course. And, yeah, the most attractive git, loathe as he to admit it. But- Merlin, shut up. Shut up. He needs to bloody sleep and drop unconscious already. Or drown himself in firewhiskey and drop unconscious. For at least 15 hours straight.
Stiles sneers, looking for a clever slight to throw at Theo. He knows he can't insult his potions skills because he's actually decent at it, actually bloody good, the prick. And he can't pick on his appearance because, well, there is literally nothing to pick on about his outside everything, is there? Even that stupid slight graze on his left eyebrow looks fitting on him, like a fashion statement or something, and soon the Slytherin boys would go knicking themselves in their stupid eyebrows to copy him, to be half as echanting as him, to - Merlin. Shut up, for Salazar's sake.
Before Stiles can open his mouth, the onslaught of cedarwood, mint, and chocolate knocks his words back down his throat, and all he's able to do is inhale. Deep. With pleasure. With so much pleasure that it's an internal battle not to drop his eyelids and part his lips for a moan.
For seven years, Stiles has been haunted by it - sleeping so close to the boy who wears the scent that he can't eat a single bar of chocolate without thinking of Theo. It's both a blessing and a curse. Kinda cliche, but kinda true. Absolutely true. Also absolutely a secret.
So, he pulls his face into a sneer once more - as if his brain isn' melting into cedarwood, mint, and chocolate pudding - throwing a glare at his roommate. The long-time bane of his existence, long-time subject of his wanking fantasies (and disgustingly romantic daydreams, but Stiles is not about to address it because then he'll be admitting that shit's getting real), long-time crush. "None of your business," Stiles snaps. He'd like to add "eloquently", but it just isn't.
Theo only chuckles as if he already expected the reply. Or because he is immune to Stiles's attitude after dealing with it for years. Whichever it is, Theo's infuriatingly unaffected. It's so bloody distracting. He's so bloody distracting. Especially to a sleep-deprived Stiles who hasn't had enough rest, meal, or wank for far too long than reasonable.
"Well, make your tardy ass useful then and tell me if the potion smells like it's a flawless brew," he cocks his head sideways, lips slanting to an obnoxious smile, and adds, "Though, I already know it is."
Stiles scoffs (while he inwardly sings praises, because, damn if he isn't hot. Merlin, he needs to jerk off. Twice, in a row. Then drop unconscious. Wake up for dinner and masturbate twice more before bed most preferably). He glances down at the swirling mist coming from the pot and slides his unimpressed gaze back to Theo. "If I can smell anything at all over the entire bottle of cologne you poured on yourself today."
Theo looks taken aback for a moment, five heartbeats if Stiles is not wrong (he isn't) before his face breaks into the biggest, brightest grin Stiles has ever seen him make. Then he laughs heartily, genuinely; his eyes look extraordinarily joyful, and his neck even starts flushing. Stiles would've preened (he totally does inside. He caused that smile, okay?) if he didn't think that he probably did something embarrassing based on the absolute glee in Theo's reaction.
"Well," he drawls, still freakishly happy, like what in Merlin? He's a sight, yeah, bloody gorgeous, but Theo's happiness is usually in tandem with Stiles's distress, you see. It's perfectly rational to be suspicious. Then, Theo pins Stiles with a smug and satisfied look, saying, "I'm glad to know that's what amortentia potion smells like to you."
The statement gives Stiles a pause - more than a pause, he freezes - and he gapes while processing it. It doesn't take more than a few seconds for it to hit him.
Amortentia. Love potion. Today's task is Amortentia - a potion that smells different to each person, depending on what attracts them. And he's just announced that the air around him is basically marinating in Theo's bloody cologne. Salazar bloody Slytherin.
Stiles never imagined ever stooping so low but let it be known that what he does next, he will bring to his grave as his biggest disgrace.
Taking out his wand swift as lightning, he points it to himself for the easy way out. With a murmured spell, he grants his wish and knocks himself unconscious.
His idiocy is future Stiles's problem now. He'll stay bloody asleep for 15 hours straight, thank you very much.
