Been thinking a lot about Tobias' identity struggles as a parallel to being mixed/biracial and had to do some sketches about it

#like i definitely get the gnc parallels too #esp as an adult i find Tobias very Gender #but as a young mixed kid who didnt know what queerness was i related a lot #to tobias struggling to “pick a side” between his human/hawk/andalite #and all the accompanying baggage of not being able to fit into any one group comfortably #and trying and failing to accurately code switch etc etc you see this vision #animorphs #fanart #tobias animorphs #also related a lot to the facial expression stuff lol #as someone who uhhhh #definitely spent a long time by the mirror practicing facial expressions as a kid

i did a pretty good job i think

#i like how nicely talons nose apex and ala formed the kitty nose #usually i struggle with animals with more visible nostrils when a character has less visible ones #in the case of al but his cow form has never felt like a total misrepresentation of his human form ykwim...igts so fitting #also i cant draw talon as nicely as i did on that first day of september and ive been drawing him all month aroo #talkys #a doodley #still have to find a way to incorporate talon's lips somehow...that was easy wit cow al

People don’t talk about MC needing to wear a magical ring to not accidentally yk cause NATURAL DISASTERS with their powers??? Not only accidentally but without realising???

Diavolo or smthn is asking too much of MC or being a bit too annoying and their other hand slowly drifts towards the ring and they hold onto it while maintaining dead eye contact. Like continue to piss me off hoe I’ll blink and blow a hole in your castle idk

there was a time, esp after the 2nd drb ended, when everyone was holding their breath scared/excited that hypmic would introduce new divisions to their lineup and thank fck they didn’t lol, but i like to think in a roundabout way, they did give us a new one by allowing chuuoku to have a division like dynamic lol

#vee queued to fill the void #thank you kr for giving us women instead of more men LOL #a sentiment that’s kinda resurfaced with the chuuoku stage is that ‘hypmic is def for girls bc even the women are popular with the women’#and that’s so fcking funny to me LOL #hypmic has a bunch of male fans it’s just hard when the series is marketed as for women lol #but chuuoku fits right in and it was a great call to include them and their struggles #like some of their struggles do stem from their gender but they’re still very human struggles and i ADORE that #it also helps they are the reason for the lore they don’t have to struggle with story beats as hard as nagosaka does LOL

#this is about #Frankenstein #again #classic lit #sorry but it's nearly 5:30 am and im biting and screaming about the whole Prometheus business #and how much it FITS BUT ALSO DOESN'T #Victor WISHES he had a modecum of Prometheus's swag #but in a non joking way -> It makes sense he uses Prometheus as a descritor for what he's doing. creating a man and all #and dramatic irony dictates that it also fits in the sense that he ends up tortured #but Victor lacks the one thing that made Prometheus's fate tragic #that being the love for his creation(s) . Prometheus made humans and cared for them so much that he went against the god of gods #to give them fire when he saw them struggle in the cold #and wound up paying a heavy price for that good deed #Victor made a man and cast him out INTO the cold the moment he realised the creation wasn't the ideal thing he hoped it would be #Adam is fitting for the creature because Victor by all accounts acts more like god than Prometheus #but point is his fate is as hand made as his creature. a result of choices based on bad assumptions he refuses to ever acknowledge as wrong #compared to prometheus his losses are kind of. well you know the tripping over own bike with a stick meme #anyway disclaimer pls don't take this that seriously as a text analysis- again this is just my 5 am brain going crazy

Honestly the indecisiveness makes it even better!! Esp when you consider headcanons about the twins being shape-shifters, or when you think about it when we wish for characters we wish on shooting stars [much similar to the origins of the twins]

All in all, if the star creature's form shifts and changes, I think that's just an extra interesting detail! Almost like how an elderitch is described as incomprehensible, it's as if the world of Teyvat is desperately trying to make sense of a form not made from it in either a pseudo-chameleon way or an ethereal/elderitch way - almost like a glamour, but it's unintentional, it's just how their form comes through
