Hey, I know the Regulus adopts Harry trope is all fun and games and I love it but like you can't honestly tell me that he wouldn't (also) cuasi-adopt Draco, Luna and Neville because like
Are you seriously telling me that Regulus wouldn't be the proud uncle of his favourite cousin's son!? He would probably steal Draco at least twice a week!
That he wouldn't have his bestie's daughter at his house as many days as the year have? He would probably take Luna and Harry on vacations. To the beach or the mountains together they go. And when Pandora died he would offer all the help possible to Xenophilius, and he would tell Luna, just as he does Harry, stories of her mum, and she had always been his Soulmate even though they would never have a romantic relationship. Also he would raise hell the first time he heard about Luna being bullied.
Then whe have Neville, who is such a sweet kid, and after hearing that it was his cousin the one that did that to his parents he can't help but feels guilty. So he goes and apologises to Augusta. And somehow, she had just lost her son, and she feels old, and has found herself raising a toddler. So she accepts his apology, because he's young and somehow he reminds him a little to the boy she lost. So she cries, and is Regulus the one that is there that day and many others. And from that moment on, Neville becomes a common fixture to Regulus's house. There aren't going to be any window child dropping this time around.
And Harry couldn't be happier, it was strange at first. Finding himself suddenly in the care of this man child of wizard. But he feels safe. And loved. Oh so loved. So he never felt jealous when kids started appearing, in fact he is just happy about it all in general. Having a parent, having siblings, and cousin and a sister in all but blood. So he feels content.
Also, Regulus having to send three of his children to Howarts at the same time is just an emotional wreck

Please more sugardaddy moonwater hcs. Pls!!
this might get long sorry (but this is kinda what i wanna write next so pls give me feedback) xoxo
they met through a sugar daddy website that james showed to remus one night (he's on it and is absolutely not telling him that he's met a guy)
remus is so embarrassed at first, he was on tinder like twice and had bad dates because of it so he isn't exactly confident this will work but he does get a lot of attention
he gets messages from kinda old guys, and a few older women, that are either way too pushy with what they want in return for an 'allowance' or just kinda creepy and he almost deletes it
then he gets a message off of someone young, maybe his age, and he's gorgeous
remus is so sure its a scam, no one can look that good and be on an app like this but he messages them anyway when they say hi first, and he asks about them and the guy is regulus arcturus black (he gives his full name, he's a loser) and he's literally just looking for company and someone to spend money on, nothing in return, he doesn't need it
remus is kinda shook because like what?? how is this guy lonely he must have friends but turns out regulus just has rich friends that can buy their own things, he doesn't have anyone to spend time with other than when he goes to family events which he hates
and remus is like okay,,,,maybe drinks first and regulus sends him the location of probably the nicest bar in london and remus is close to passing out because he cannot afford this at all but he said he'd go
he wears his nicest outfit (its a brown jumper and some nice trousers and his converse, he cant afford anything else rn because his cat started a hunger strike against the food he's had for a year and remus had to upgrade, kids eh?)
regulus is already there because he is never a minute late, and checking his rolex thinking he's been stood up but remus runs in like 'hi im so sorry i missed the train hi' and regulus is in love already, just straight up his heart starts hammering in his chest because not only is remus gorgeous in a weird, dorky way but he's just...he's adorable
regulus is calm tho, think levi ackerman levels of expression, he just kinda sits there arms folded and asks remus questions about his life and what he would like as an allowance and remus is just,,,confused?
he asks why regulus wants to spend his money on him and regulus insists he's bored (he's so fucking lonely and wants someone around him to dote on) and just needs a date to events as his parents are giving him shit for being single at 26
remus is unsure but decides fuck it, james can probably throw hands if regulus tried anything, and they agree to attend some gala together for regulus' family and remus says he'll have to get new clothes and regulus then sets up a date the next day to buy him an outfit and its a lil montage of regulus giving remus clothes to try its very cute
and is remus confused and guilt ridden for this man spending money on him? yeah, duh, but also he doesn't have to pay his bills anymore, he has amazing clothes, his stress levels are so fucking low than before, and he likes regulus....he really really likes him
and regulus is getting what he wants, but also he has remus lupin as eye candy and that's an added bonus, and god remus is so adorable and nerdy and he wants to climb him like a tree
also yes remus sees james at the event and he's like what the fuck are you doing here and turns out james is with HIS sugar daddy, aka regulus' brother and its a whole ordeal
and maybe one night regulus invites remus to stay with him for the night because its too late to get the train and he doesn't really want to let remus go and maybe they drink wine and maybe they touch just to see what its like and maybe MAYBE they kiss and make out and fuck slow and deep and then AND THEN—
i might write more if people like this idk,,,,

Our children yearn for the waterpark
part one
barbie dolls: Jegulus x you
word:3.9k
summary:James takes you and regulus (along with your children) to a waterpark
warnings: your son is named Elliot, also you're referred to as Ren and Rena like the gn term for your parent so just yk it's not an oc i promise, pushing the trans James agenda, James is a baker and regulus is a stay at home dad/writer you’re a teacher just so you know, modern au I'm SORRY, James’ parents are alive, Regulus has freinds, Regulus hates the public water, Allusions to poc Luna harry and james, your race and elliots race is not menntioned everyone is welocome, you dont get in the water, Regulus is a sunscreen god he loves sunscreen so much, Harry is mentioned to have moms theyre giving divorce core mom and dad’s house, james drives a minivan, allusions to autistic reader and Elliot but its not specified, your swimsuit is not mwntioned or described so again everybody welcome, i hate typos oh my god
You liked dating James and Regulus. Your relationship was still very fresh, but their effect was hard to miss. They made you laugh all the time. James was very energetic, matching your kids well. Regulus was blunt and it relaxed your nerves of missing a hidden message in a conversation. And they were both great parents. Your kids already loved each other and they got along well.
School was out. Meaning both you and Elliot had loads of free time on your hands. With summer in full swing, you set up frequent playdates with Elliot’s two best friends. You wanted him to keep his strong bonds with them and it definitely wasn’t because you missed Regulus and James. Regulus was really self-employed. He stayed at home to raise Luna and to write his books. He could easily add a playdate to his schedule. James however was a baker with hours he had to meet. So he didn’t always have a clear schedule. Harry would stay with his grandparents, Euphemia and Fleamont, while James was at work. Harry also spent a lot of time at his Moms’ house. So making a playdate with all three children involved was harder than expected. Elliot still liked hanging out with Luna, and sometimes even Harry too on certain weekends.
Your phone rang as you were cutting up celery for Elliot. He was going through a peanut butter phase, eating it on everything. You picked up the call, holding the phone with your shoulder and the side of your face.
“Hello?”
“Hey, Pretty. It’s me.” You smiled at James’ voice. Just as you were about to tell him hi again, he started talking. “Lemme add Regulus.” You stayed silent as his side went quiet. You heard Elliot in the other room, clacking his toys together on the dining room table. You snagged a pretzel from the small pile on his plate. Soon enough James and Regulus both joined.
“Are you guys busy this weekend?” You scoffed at James. You heard Regulus sniffle a laugh on his line.
“James, baby, we’re always free. Do try to remember our professions.” You said as you smeared peanut butter onto Elliot’s celery.
“Right yeah, well I just accidently bought exactly six passes to this really cool waterpark,” James said, whispering the last word. You oooed while Regulus snorted.
“James, do share with us how you accidentally bought exactly enough passes for all of us and our children.” Regulus pressed. You heard Luna in the background let out a yell filled with laughter.
“Was that Luna?” You asked. Regulus explained that her uncles were over and attacking her with tickles. Regulus returned the conversation to the waterpark passes.
“alright fine, you caught me. I missed you guys. I’ve been so busy with work, I feel like I haven’t seen you all summer.” You cooed at James while Regulus let out a whine.
“He cares.” Regulus mocked.
“How adorable.” You joined in making James groan loudly. “What day were you planning on going to the p-a-r-k, James?” You spelled out where you were going so Elliot wouldn’t overhear and get excited. You turned around to the color-coordinated calendar on the fridge. It was mostly empty, you and Elliot preferred the company of each other than strangers. Though you had a really exciting playdate with Luna planned next Thursday. What a wild life you lived.
“This Saturday if that works for you two.” You glanced over at the empty box.
“Yeah, I could squeeze you in.” You muttered into the microphone as you turned back to Elliot’s plate.
“Lemme check my planner.” Regulus waited for a second. “Oh that’s right, I hate human beings. I'm completely free.” James let out a sigh of relief. You picked up Elliot’s plate, walking it to the dining room. Elliot was sitting in a chair, his little arms just barely reaching over the edge of the table, smacking two toy cars together. You set his plate in front of him. Elliot thanked you, shoving the peanut butter-covered celery into his mouth. You kissed his forehead, ruffling his hair before pulling back. You noticed his bare legs.
“Baby, where are your pants?” You tilted your head. Elliot pointed to the bathroom.
“Hamper,” Elliot answered.
“Well, good job putting them in the hamper but why aren’t they on your legs?” You asked.
“Didn’t wanna wear ‘em,” Elliot said, his mouth full of celery.
“Can’t argue with that, make sure you chew all the way okay.” Elliot nodded as you left to go clean the kitchen.
“One thing I will say though, I’m not getting that water. Do you realize how filthy those things are?” You tuned back into the conversation listening to Regulus list off statistics of how gross waterparks are.
“That’s okay, I’ll be in the water so I can make sure Luna doesn’t swim away or anything,” James said, clearing up the problem. You nodded.
“I’ll dry off Luna if you don’t want to touch the water on her, and we’ll lay a towel over one of those chairs that are shaded so we know it's clean. If you feel lonely, I'll sit with you and James if you feel tired we can swap places.” You offered, wanting to fill in any potholes in your plans.
“You are very kind, darling,” Regulus muttered. You cooed at him as you shoved the peanut butter back in the high cabinet so Elliot wouldn’t eat it all in one sitting and hurt his stomach.
“You guys are nasty. I was thinking maybe we carpool so nobody gets lost and it saves gas.” James said. You hummed while Regulus made a disapproving sound.
“James, there’s like twelve of us. Are you driving a bus?” Regulus said, poking holes into James’ ideas. If you were looking at James you assumed he’d be rolling his eyes.
“I have a big van. It has enough seating for us, I counted to make sure.” You hummed.
“Okay, baby, whatever you want.” You agreed, putting the celery into the refrigerator. Regulus sighed.
“I suppose that could work.” You snorted at Regulus’ faked disappointment. You heard Luna call for Regulus on his side.
“I’m being called for Yeti in my Spaghetti, I have to go.” You all said bye before hanging up.
Saturday came faster than you thought it would. You were packing a big bag of sunscreen and towels, in no time. You told Elliot he didn’t need to wear his goggles before you even got in the car but he was excited. You let it slide, you’re only seven once. You were a little anxious about the whole thing, you worried one of the kids would splash Regulus. You were worried they would slip on the wet concrete and crack their head. You worried Elliot’s goggles were too tight on his head. You heard an engine approaching. You looked out the window to verify it was James. Definitely his red minivan, bumper stickers littering the back. You turned around to Elliot.
“You know who’s in the driveway?” Elliot jumped up off the couch, bouncing on his feet.
“Harry and Luna?” You nodded. Elliot bolted towards the door. You were opening the minivan door in no time, a wave of hello’s meeting you and Elliot. Luna and Harry were next to each other in the back row.
“They wanted to sit in the back because they’re spies.” You hummed at Regulus’ explanation. You were able to fit Elliot’s booster seat in the back, next to Luna. You pushed the seat in front of them back, sitting in the row in front of theirs. Regulus was in the passenger seat, tilting his head back to see you. You smiled at him warmly as you buckled your seatbelt. James’ face appeared next to his, looking at you.
“Hi,” James said, a light air to his greeting.
“Hi.”
“Okay, waterpark here we come!” James said, loud enough for the back row to hear. The kids all squealed, thrashing their legs and arms around. Your trip to the waterpark calmed your worries. James and Regulus’ presence already working numbers. James apparently made a summertime fun playlist specifically for this. The kids seemed to enjoy it. Luna made her doll dance and Elliot made his car dance. Harry just made himself dance.
You six easily made it through the gates. You were holding hands with Regulus on one side and Elliot on the other. When you look back to see Elliot holding onto Luna’s hand and Luna holding onto Harry’s hand, you had flashbacks to watching ducks cross the road. James was in the front leading you all to his Harry’s favorite part of the waterpark. Regulus narrowly avoided a small kid with Nemo arm floaties splashing. You rubbed his arm in sympathy.
“I'll dry you off if you get any water on you, and I have hand sanitizer and butt wipes in my bag. Regulus knocked your cheek with his head in a thank you. James ran ahead, snagging a sunlounger for Regulus. You pulled a towel out of your bag, handing it to James. Regulus settled onto the chair, digging into his own bag. He motioned for Luna to come over, squirting a mountain of tinted sunscreen into his hands. Regulus smothered Luna in sunscreen, making sure she was covered entirely.
Luna had on an adorable bright orange swimsuit with ruffles around the edges. She had matching arm floaties that she talked Regulus out of, pinkie promising to stay in the shallow end. You knew that within an hour she’d want to go into the deep end and Regulus would have to talk her into a life vest and arm floaties. Luna was free though, slipping her Tinkerbell flip-flops off and splashing into the shallow end. You were in the kid's area so there wasn’t even really a deep end but you could easily imagine Luna tricking someone into taking her to the lazy river.
Harry was next in the sunscreen line. Harry had on a long-sleeved swim shirt and Lighting McQueen shorts. James had on just red shorts. He had already tossed his coverup tee off. You didn’t want to oggle him. James had antler tattoos following the path of the scars on his chest. Regulus’ shorts were blue, you expected him to stay under the shade the whole time.
James pulled his spray can of suscreen out of his bag. Regulus looked aghast at James even thinking of covering a human in that. Regulus slapped it out of James’ hands, using Luna’s sunscreen on Harry instead. Regulus forced James into using Luna’s sunscreen as well. Regulus smothered some over James’ cheeks. It made James fluster, giggling and needing to turn around to take a moment to himself. After Regulus smothered James and Harry in sunscreen, he pulled Elliot over.
You sat next to Regulus as he rubbed sunscreen into Elliot’s skin. You held onto Elliot’s hand, he was squeezing the life out of it. Elliot hated the texture of sunscreen but he liked playing in the water more than sitting in the shade. He just needed a little bit of comfort through it and he was okay. After Regulus was done Elliot moved into your arms for more comfort. You hummed, squeezing him tight. You rocked him gently, giving him all the praises he needed. Elliot eventually pulled back, leaving his shoes next to his friends’ and joining them in the water. You smiled at him splashing with his friends, the three of them flinging water at James, who pretended to die and crash into the water.
You turned back to Regulus, happy you were all together. Regulus was staring at you with a deadly serious look in his eyes. His palms were pointed towards you, you glanced down at them. Your smile slightly fell when you realized they were coated in sunscreen.
“Oh Regulus, I actually put some on at ho-“ Regulus shut you up by smothering your face with his hands. He removed them, smearing his hands down your arms. You sputtered, he avoided your eyes and mouth shockingly. Regulus returned his hands to your face, now gently rubbing it into your face. You understood now why this flustered James. Regulus had both hands on your face treating your skin with such love, making sure you were fully protected. He eventually sat back, adding more to his hands before looking up at you.
“Can I do the rest or do you want to?” You shrugged.
“I’m cool with whatever you want, babe.” Regulus sighed. He hated when people made him make decisions.
“I'll do most.” You hummed in approval. He rubbed sunscreen into most of your skin, handing you the bottle to finish. When you were done you squeezed some of Regulus’ sunscreen into your hands, facing him with the same severity. He looked up from rubbing some into his arms. He raised an eyebrow at you.
“I'll get your back, baby.” Regulus squinted his eyes at you. You grinned.
“Are you trying to steal my job?” You shook your head moving to sit behind him. You applying sunscreen devolved into you just rubbing the tension out of his shoulders. Regulus dropped his head back against you. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders, lightly pecking his cheek on the way. You both watched as James picked Harry up by his ankles, wrapping his arms around Harry’s legs, and swinging him around. It made Harry giggle loudly, squealing and swinging his arms around. James gently set Harry back on his feet, splashing all three of your kids with a large swing of his arms. James left the water, squeezing his shorts out. He slumped down into the sun lounge chair next to you that you claimed with your bag.
He pulled his arms under his head, sighing. You admired the way the sun warmed his skin. You were not checking him out you were just checking for sunburns. Regulus pressed a kiss to your arm, leaning out of your hold. James opened his eyes, looking over at you both.
“So I was thinking, maybe we go out to eat after this.” You hummed nodding your head.
“You pick, I hate making decisions,” Regulus muttered. You patted his shoulder.
“Parenting must be hard for you.” Regulus nodded at you. He looked up when he heard Luna scream. Harry was splashing her. Elliot was near them staring at the lost water shoe sitting at the edge of the shallow water.
“Elliot, leave the shoe alone.” You yelled over at him. His head shot up, caught. He stood up and pointed down at it.
“Rena, it has no brother. Where’s the owner?” You shrugged at him.
“I don’t know, baby. Leave it alone, you don’t know what somebody could’ve stepped in.” Elliot pouted at you. Your yelling caught the attention of the other two. They stood around the lost shoe staring down at it. You stood up, joining them so now all four of you were standing around this lost shoe and inspecting it. You told them not to touch it running over to the nearby snowcone stand asking for napkins. You picked the shoe up with a napkin. The three children follow you to the trashcan. You set it on top in case the owner came back, and looked for it. You tossed the napkins into the trashcan, turning around to your little huddle of kids.
“Why can you touch it but we can’t?” Luna asked, staring up at you.
“I had napkins, and I’m an adult so I can make my own decisions about my health.” Luna pouted at your answer.
“That’s unjust,” Luna muttered under her breath.
“Can we have napkins?” Harry asked. You shook your head. Elliot scoffed.
“This sucks, you took away my shoe.” You dropped your shoulders.
“I’m sorry hun but you can’t have that shoe. it’s not for you.” You looked around the huddle to make sure they all understood. Luna pushed her wet hair away from her face. Elliot turned around and left, the other two following after him. When you returned to James and Regulus, you noticed how much Luna was fighting with her hair. It kept sticking to her face and annoying her. Her eyebrows were pushed together and she looked close to drowning her mermaid doll.
“Regulus, could I put Luna’s hair up? It keeps getting in her face.” Regulus shrugged. He reached over to his bag, pulling two hairbands off a key chain and handing them to you. You asked Luna if she wanted her hair up. She said yes and settled in front of you on the chair. You had James run to the snowcone stand and ask for a cup of water. You made sure her hair was damp, so you wouldn’t hurt it. You gently pulled her hair up into a ponytail, using the hair ties Regulus gave you to hold it. You patted her arms when you were done. Luna turned around and gave you a tight hug.
After another hour of the kids and James being rowdy, you were all tired. You stayed true to your word, drying Luna off with her towel while Regulus packed up his bag. With everyone buckled in the car, James started towards whatever food place he picked. The ride back from the waterpark was much calmer and quieter than the ride to. The kids were tired, you were tired, the car was tired. You glanced over at Regulus when you heard him mutter something. You noticed James’ hand resting on Regulus’ thigh. You smiled at that, glad you were all close. James smiled brightly at Regulus, making the car heat up with his joy.
“Well thank you, I like your swimsuit too.” You glanced at the backseat making sure all three kids were asleep.
“Oh, that’s why you invited us to the waterpark. To see me and Regulus half naked. I get it now.” James looked at you through the rearview mirror.
“No, I wanted you guys to have fun, don't soil my good name like that,” James said, giving you a playful glare. Regulus ignored you both, resting his head against his arm on the door. You noticed James’ thumb swiping back and forth in a soothing manner. You smiled at him before returning your attention out the window.
Eventually, you were gently rocking the kids’ knees so they would wake up. When they realized they had the prospect of chicken strips and french fries, they were scrambling out of their seats. You were sat at a round booth. It was more of a fast food than a restaurant place so your wet swimsuit coverups weren’t really a problem. You helped Elliot pick out his meal as James helped Harry. Luna apparently already knew what she wanted, busying herself with the sugar packets.
Your food arrived and you cut up Harry’s chicken strips while James caught you and Regulus up with what was going on with him. You slid Harry’s plate back to him. Elliot handed you the small bowl of ketchup like it was going to bite him.
“Nasty, Rena. I don't want it.” You nodded, taking it away. You set it between you and James so Elliot wouldn’t have to look at it.
“Oh thank you.” James dunked one of his fries into the bowl. You weren’t going to correct him and tell him you didn’t do that on purpose so you just smiled. You checked on Elliot, seeing him chomp into his chicken strips, tearing it away. He rawred before chewing properly. You put together that he was probably pretending to be a dinosaur. His favorite was a velociraptor. He liked that they looked like ‘stupid chickens’. You glanced over at Luna. She was chowing down on her burger. She ordered for herself. She did a great job too. Luna was very well-spoken, she seemed to have a big vocabulary. It probably had something to do with living with a writer. Especially a writer like Regulus.
You tore off a corner from your paper napkin. You rolled it into a ball before chucking it at Regulus. It hit him square in the forehead. Regulus set his fork down, looking down at the paper ball in his lap. He looked up at you and James both smothering your laughter. He reached over and covered Harry’s eyes before flipping you off. Elliot was luckily under the table getting his crayon off the floor. James dropped his fry. Regulus picked up his fork taking a proud bite out of his own fry. You ignored the fact he was eating fries with his fork and that he passed it to Luna.
“What about Luna?” James asked. Regulus removed his hand from Harry. Harry glared at Regulus before picking up another chicken strip.
“Oh, I already sawed that. Uncle B said it means I love you but Uncle Rosie told me the truth. Uncle B likes partial jokes.” Luna said, matter of factly. She kept her eyes on her burger before taking a bite. Regulus nodded at her.
“Practical, not partial. You used the phrase practical jokes correctly though. Good job, Lue.” Luna smiled with her cheeks full at Regulus. You understood why her vocab was so big now, it was Regulus. Elliot rawred again, making three claws with his fingers to pick up his chicken strips.
You were all strapped into James’ minivan and on the way back home, in no time. The kids were entertaining each other in the backseat. James had his playlist softly playing in the background.
“We should get together just us,” James said. Regulus looked away from his window raising an eyebrow at him.
”Is that not what we just did?” Regulus asked. James shook his head.
“No I mean like we should go on a for real date, not a playdate that we happen to flirt in the background. We go out just the three of us. Maybe not the waterpark though.” James explained, keeping his eyes on the road.
“I want to but it’s kinda hard getting a babysitter.” You said, looking between them. Regulus turned around to make eye contact with you.
“Elliot could spend the night at my house, I have like a thousand free babysitters,” Regulus said, waving his hand through the air.
“What will Uncle B teach my kind how to say fuck in every language?” You teased. Regulus pressed his lips togehter.
”He’s actually not that bad, he’s really good with kids. He just also has an odd sense of humor.” you squinted at Regulus. ” It's alright if you don't want him to babysit I can have Evan and Dorcas babysit. Evan is just as insane as Barty but he lowers it while around children. Barty doesn’t. Docas is super cool, she’ll probably teach Elliot how to sword fight with wrapping paper tubes.”
“Docas does sound sick.” You muttered. James cheered.
“See we can go out for real, Regulus you do the planning this time.” Regulus nodded at James.
“I actually really like planning, I wish I had my joural. I would’ve taken notes.” Regulus sadly muttered. Once you were back home, Elliot passed out on the couch. You smiled at him clutching his car to his chest. You were excited for Regulus to call you and start his planning process.

Black Heart Part 2
Regulus Black AU
Link to Part 1
Request: Will you write a Regulus x Reader fic where Regulus is older than the reader? She comes to help the Order and Regulus falls in love with her. The relationship isn't easy because of the war and Regulus' denial that he would be a good boyfriend.
Summary: Admitting that he was in love had never been something that Regulus wanted to do. Now that you were in his life, Regulus didn't know how to react. Should he love you or push you away just like he had everyone else?
Warning: slight smut
Pairings: Regulus Black x Reader
_____
After leaving Regulus alone, Sirius went outside where you sat with Tonks. He hoped his luck with you was a lot better than it was with Regulus. You looked up when he stepped out.
“Good afternoon, ladies. Anything exciting happening?”
Both Tonks and yourself shook your head before Tonks burst into a fit of giggles.
“Y/n was telling me about a kid that came into the hospital who had shoved a ton of jelly beans up his nose.”
Sirius smirked as you shook your head.
“That was my existence as a healer today. Some people put other people back together. I get jelly beans out of a kid's nose.”
Sirius chuckled and sat down. He mentally smacked himself in the head for not telling Regulus that as a healer, you could put him back together if he got hurt working for the order.
That would have been a promising lead!
Sirius thought before speaking.
“Someone has to save the children. Say, Y/n, how would you like to go on a date?”
You frowned before partially choking on your lemonade. The last thing that you expected was to receive a date offer from Sirius. You considered your words. As much as you liked Sirius, it was totally in platonic way.
“Umm…with you? Look, Sirius, I…”
Sirius immediately cut you off.
“No! Not with me. I am working on that whole being single thing. I mean with my brother.”
Neither Tonks nor yourself moved for a moment. Regulus? You felt yourself staring at Sirius yet again as if he were insane. Would you date Regulus? Of course! You had a shameless crush on him from the moment that the two of you met. A crush was all that it had remained too. While Regulus was nothing but kind to you, the relationship had never gone beyond the “platonic” phase.
Did he like you? Your heart pounded at the thought alone. If Regulus was interested, you would be more than receptive to it. You didn’t care about the age difference. Clearly, it worked well with Tonks and Remus so why couldn’t it work for Regulus and yourself?
Regulus never seemed interested in that. In fact, you had never so much as seen Regulus go on a date. He went to his job at the Ministry, did jobs for the order, then went back home. Whenever you visited, he was never in the company of anyone other than himself.
“Did he ask you to ask her?”
Tonks asked, totally stunned. Like yourself, Tonks had never seen her cousin in any kind of a romantic relationship. Sirius shook his head.
“No, I am trying to set him up so I don’t spend the rest of forever looking after him.”
Tonks groaned as your hope plummeted miserably.
“Sirius! You idiot! Regulus isn’t going to appreciate you trying to set him up without his knowledge!”
Tonks snapped. Sirius held his hands up defensively.
“He likes Y/n. It may be news to you, Y/n but he likes you a lot. You are the one person that he is remotely pleasant toward. That should say a lot in itself. He’s just shit at sharing his feelings. Sharing them, having them….feelings just aren’t Regulus’ jam.” You sighed.
“Thanks but no thanks. If he isn’t in on the know, I would rather not be involved. Besides, with my schedule as a doctor, why would he even want to bother?”
“Why wouldn’t he? I mean, you're smart, you're pretty, and there is also the fact that, again, he likes you. He stares at you pathetically. It's kind of cute to be honest. I am enjoying seeing my snooty brother finally having human feelings. As I said before, I don’t want to spend the rest of forever watching my brother be single.”
You chuckled and stood up to ruffle Sirius’ hair.
“You can have him talk to me like a big boy if he is interested. Thanks for your concern though. I really don’t want to watch him hex you to kingdom come for interfering in his life. Well, I’ll see you lot later. I have a procedure to get to. Are we still going to that new bar later?”
Tonks nodded, eagerly.
“See you at 8!”
You nodded and left your friends to it. As you walked away, you could hear Tonks giving Sirius hell over his pathetic attempt at fixing Regulus and yourself up.
I would have better luck with a rock than to ever get Regulus to like me that way.
You thought before apparating away.
For the following few hours, you tried to keep your mind off Regulus. Anytime that your mind wasn’t fully focused on your work, you were drifting back to thoughts of Regulus. You couldn’t help but wonder if Sirius was right. Did Regulus like you? Did he see you in any other way than friendship? Were you overthinking everything?
Something told you not to get your hopes up. You had never had much luck with relationships, so why would you suddenly start now? It didn’t matter how attractive that you found Regulus or that you could stare into his grey eyes forever. If he wasn’t receptive to the feelings then nothing would go anywhere.
It would be nice to have someone to come home to. Being lonely really does get old.
You thought as you walked into the bar. Never in your life had you ever really felt “wanted” by a member of the opposite sex. It all started with your father abandoning you at 2. After that, you felt pretty much unlovable. Being left with your crazy Aunt Ida and her house full of cats didn’t seem like a great thing to do with your child. If one loved their kid, they wouldn’t leave them in such deplorable conditions.
Your friendship with Tonks was the first time that you felt as if you had a real friend. When Remus, Sirius, and then Regulus came into the picture, everything felt complete.
What if we actually date and it goes to hell? I could lose one of the best friends that I have ever had?
Your head was quickly becoming a pretzel. The last thing that you wanted was to lose your friendship with Regulus. It would be beyond difficult sitting across from him at an order meeting knowing that you had a failed relationship.
I have to stop.
You thought as you walked into the bar. Looking around the room, you smiled the moment that you spotted Tonks and her bubble gum pink hair. She instantly waved to you from her spot at a quiet table with Remus. You held up a finger before going over to the bar to order a drink.
The moment that you saw Regulus standing there, your heart began to pound.
“It is just Regulus. He may not even know about all of this. He's my friend and he cares about me."
You told yourself before walking over. He turned as you reached the bar and gave you a small smile.
“You’re late.”
You nodded with a sigh as you ordered your drink.
“It's been a very long day. Oh, by the way, your brother is insane.”
Regulus rolled his eyes. This was not any news to him. Internally he was panicking over if Sirius had actually said something to you or not.
“I have dealt with him all of my life. Trust me, I understand. What did he do? Ask you on a date or something?”
When you blushed, that told Regulus what he needed to know. Sirius had caught you. Did he mention Regulus’ shameless crush on you? What exactly had Sirius said? Regulus’ mind began to race as you down the shot that you were holding.
“No. He’s just insane. Add that in with crazy at work and it was recipe for disaster. Why I chose to be a healer is beyond me.”
You downed another shot earning a raised eyebrow from Regulus.
“Was it tequila day at the hospital?”
You chuckled.
“Here’s an example, I had a kid that shoved his nose full of jelly beans. I mean like Christmas dinner full. After that, this man comes in with a cucumber shoved up his ass…his excuse was oh, I fell on it. I don’t think that people understand that we hear that excuse every time someone comes in with that condition.”
You were relieved when Regulus laughed at that.
“People really say that?”
You nodded.
“All the time. I have really had to learn how to control my face.”
You took another shot without hesitation. Regulus mentally counted where you were at.
“So, I have never really seen you drink…do you think that you should slow down?”
“Bad thing is…I don’t feel a damn thing.”
Regulus blinked a few times.
“That’s some tolerance.”
You shrugged.
“More like a curse.”
A few drinks later both Regulus and yourself were beginning to feel the drinks catching up. You weren’t even sure what the two of you were giggling about but you loved it. Regulus was laughing about something that you had said and that was enough. You were making him happy and by extension, you were now happy. The events of the day weren’t even on your mind and you told him all about the weird injuries that you had seen so far in your career.
“You know, you are really cute when you giggle.”
Regulus said as you leaned against him to stop yourself from falling in the floor. Regulus quickly wrapped an arm around your waist to stop you.
“Oh, you hush.”
You slurred. Regulus shook his head. Neither of you noticed your friends watching with concerned expressions. Tonks had started to come over but was stopped by Remus who muttered about the two of you being adults.
“I’m dead serious. You’re absolutely gorgeous! You have the prettiest smile in the world.”
“I’m gorgeous? You are the gorgeous one!”
Whether it was the alcohol in his system or something else, Regulus finally felt braver than he had in years. Leaning forward, he pressed his lips to yours. You were totally stunned at first but quickly returned the kiss. Wrapping your hands in the lapels of Regulus’ suit jacket, you returned the kiss eagerly.
“Do you want to get out of here?”
Regulus asked when you finally pulled away. Your eyes were closed as your mouth still hovered over his. Was this a bad idea? Yes, but you also didn’t care. Neither Regulus nor yourself were thinking with your upstairs brains. Alcohol, feelings that had been suppressed too long, and sheer desperation was driving everything.
“I do.”
The next thing that you knew, Regulus had you against the door of his bedroom. How he managed to apparate both of you back to his house, you had no idea. You also really didn’t care as he held your arms over your head.
“Are you sure that you want to do this?”
He murmured against your mouth. You didn’t hesitate in answering with a yes before locking your fingers in his curls. In all of the time that you had known Regulus, you had wanted nothing more than to get your hands in his perfect curls. Now you were getting your prize and nothing was going to stop you!
“Just hurry up.”
You replied before tugging at Regulus’ belt. Regulus wrapped an arm around your waist with one arm while opening the door with the other.
“As you wish.”
Shutting the door with his foot, Regulus moved to stand behind you. Tilting your head to the side, he leaned down to inhale your sweet scent. Was he really doing this? His head was screaming yes and cheering him on. For once, Regulus was getting exactly what he wanted and you wanted him back. YOU WANTED HIM BACK! Those were the four best words that he could come up with at the moment.
“Let’s get you out of these clothes, sweetheart.”
How the two of you managed to undress and get into bed was still a mystery all in itself. You didn’t care that this was a bad decision. Your logical side was off and your impulsive reckless side had kicked in. Any hope of being responsible flew out the window the moment that Regulus wrapped his mouth around your breast.
“Fuck, Reg!”
You groaned as he started sucking harshly. As he sucked your breasts, you felt his hand drifting toward your pussy. You moaned the moment that two fingers worked over your clit.
“I have wanted this for so long, Y/n.”
He groaned as your pussy tightened around the finger that he dipped into you. You wrapped your arms around Regulus’ neck.
“I have wanted you too…so bad.”
Regulus smirked against your skin.
“Well, let's make this a little more exciting.”
….
The following six weeks were a repeat of that first night. It wasn’t always sloppy drunken sex. Most of the time sex was done when the two of you were 100% sober and thinking clearly.
As much as you enjoyed the sex, you had begun to find yourself frustrated that Regulus was only keeping the relationship as a friends-with-benefits thing. Anytime that you had mentioned the prospects of a relationship, Regulus always dismissed the thought with the response of either “We can talk about it later” or “Why ruin a good thing with a title?”
Outside of the bedroom, your friendship with Regulus was just as it always had been. This made you question if Regulus actually saw you as worthy of a relationship or if you were just a quick piece of ass for him?
“You seem moody today.”
Tonks comment pulled you from your thoughts. She was well aware of what was going on between Regulus and yourself. Something had told Tonks from the beginning that you weren’t completely thrilled with the whole friends-with-benefits thing.
“Sorry, Tonks. It's been a long week and I’m not feeling great.”
Tonks reached out to check you for a fever. She thought about her next sentence carefully as you picked at your bagel. You hadn’t been eating much as all the past few days. Tonks had noticed this when she made a lovely roast chicken and you nearly bailed out.
“You don’t feel warm. Look, Y/n, I know that you don’t talk about your arraignment with Regulus much but is there the remote possibility that you could be pregnant?”
Tonks watched your face carefully.
“We are usually really careful. I started a new….oh crap.’
Tonks’ face went pale.
“WHAT?”
She nearly shouted, ignoring the looks of the other diners in the coffee shop. You put a hand on your face before blushing.
“That first time. We were sloppy drunk and we didn’t use anything… Oh god. Some healer I am, I didn’t even think of that. Oh Merlin, what if I am? Better yet…what will I tell Regulus?”
Tonks was silent a moment before clasping her hands together.
“You’re going to tell him that his drunk ass knocked your drunk ass up. Let’s go buy a test, just to be safe. Who knows, you may not even be pregnant. You may have caught something from the hospital. All of this worry could be over nothing.”
An hour later, you sat in Remus and Tonks bedroom as she paced the floor. Neither of you had said much of anything since you had taken the test. You had stopped watching Tonks after about minute 2 and let your mind go to Regulus. How would you tell him? How would he react? Would he want anything to do with the kid? Were you ready to be a mother? There were so many what-ifs and how’s that you couldn’t think properly.
“It's time.”
Tonks commented before approaching the table that the test was lying on. You studied your best friend’s face carefully. The moment that her eyes widened, you knew exactly what the test was…positive.
“It's positive.”
Tonks said in a disbelieving tone as you jumped up and walked over. You took the test from Tonks and started at the word “positive.”
“Positive…”
You murmured. Tonks stood quietly. She didn’t know what to say. This definitely wasn’t an ideal situation. She wasn’t sure how Regulus would take this news. Tonks knew that her cousin never had an interest in children. In fact, when she was pregnant with Teddy, Regulus told her to never consider asking him to babysit. If she did, he would make sure to send Teddy home hyped up on sugar and out for blood.
“Well, how do you feel?”
Tonks asked, nervously. She watched as you walked to the bed and sat down with a frown.
“I don’t know. I’m scared but I’m relieved at the same time. Not relieved that I’m pregnant but relieved to know the truth. I don’t know how Regulus will take it. He’s one of my best friends and I don’t want to ruin that but he’s got to know. I don’t see him taking it well. I’m hoping after the shock wears off, he will be receptive to what we’ve done. Ugh, I better go tell him and get it over with.”
As you stood up, Tonks raced over and pulled you into a hug.
“Everything is going to be fine. You have Remus and me. We are in your corner…no matter what.”
You closed your eyes hugging your friend. At least “someone” was in your corner.
A few moments later,
You stood outside Regulus’ office door taking a few deep breaths. After a small pep talk and a few deep breathing exercises, you knocked.
“Come in.”
Regulus called from the other side.
Here. We. Go.
You said before stepping in. Regulus looked up and instantly smiled when he saw you. You had been on his mind all day. Regulus slightly snorted at the thought. There was no “all day” to it. You had been staying on his mind since the first hook-up. Regulus hated admitting it but Sirius was right. He did have it bad for you.
Admitting it was the only problem. Regulus had been trying to tell himself for weeks that he wanted you in every way possible. He didn’t want to be only a friend with benefits. For some reason, getting those words out was hard.
“Hello, beautiful. What are you doing here?”
Regulus felt his ego boosting the moment that you blushed. Every time that he made your perfect cheeks go scarlet, it was a bigger confidence booster.
“Hey, I needed to talk to you about something.”
You watched as the pleased expression on Regulus’ face vanished and was replaced with the stoic mask that he wore so well.
“What about?”
Regulus questioned, carefully. You took a few deep breaths, trying to control your now-pounding heart.
“Regulus, I…uh…I….”
Regulus blinked.
“You?”
Why did he have a feeling that he was about to be dumped? Any relationship that he ever had, ended this way. You bit the side of your cheek before deciding to rip the proverbial band aid off.
“Regulus, I’m pregnant.”
You nearly fainted when you got the words out. Regulus stared at you going totally pale. He sat in silence for a moment before being able to speak. When he did speak, his voice was strained.
“Are you serious?”
You nodded,
“Yeah, I took a test. I know that we’ve been careful but there was that one night when we were drunk…”
“Are you sure it's by me?”
Regulus questioned. He immediately regretted his question when you stepped backward looking completely floored.
“Yes, by you! You’re the only man that I am sleeping with! You know that!”
Regulus frowned.
“No, I really don’t. There could be someone else.”
“I don’t believe this. I have told you from the beginning that you are the only person that I am seeing. I would think that you would give me a little more credit than that. I have been begging you to make our relationship exclusive. I wouldn’t be asking to be exclusive if I was seeing other people.”
You watched as Regulus sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
“Fuck, I never planned on having kids.”
Regulus was about to add that he didn't know anything about them when you rolled your eyes.
“Fine, I can handle this by myself. I don’t need you.”
You turned and walked from the room leaving Regulus in a near panic attack.
Half an hour later,
Sirius stood in the kitchen making coffee when Regulus came nearly sliding into the door. He raised an eyebrow, noticing how disheveled his younger brother looked.
“Reg…”
“I don’t have time! Has Y/n come here?”
Sirius shook his head as Regulus groaned putting a hand over his face and muttering to himself about something.
“I take it there is trouble in paradise? What did you do?”
Regulus looked up with a frown.
“I’m an idiot…a bloody fucking clueless mother fucking idiot!”
Sirius moved to sit down. He hadn’t seen Regulus this worked up in a long time. Whatever was happening was clearly making the control freak lose control.
“Uh huh…why are you an idiot?”
Regulus rubbed a hand over his face before turning to his very confused brother. He hated admitting it but Sirius was right. Regulus should have spoken to you and asked you to be his girlfriend. He should have told you that he really adored you and you could be exactly what he was looking for…but no….he had to be a big old IDIOT!
“I fucked up, Sirius. I fucked up badly! Y/n is pregnant.”
Sirius looked like Regulus had hit him with a brick and was making him apologize.
“She’s…WHAT?! You got her pregnant?! Regulus, you’re supposed to be the careful one! Wait, why are you looking for her?”
Regulus sat down and slammed his head into his arms on the table.
“I blew it. She told me and I asked if she was sure it was mine then, in all of my infinite wisdom, said that I never planned on having kids. She didn’t take it well, obviously and said that she didn’t need me. I didn’t even try to stop her. God damn, it Sirius, I adore her and treated her like that. What the fuck is wrong with me? I acted like she was ending my damned life.”
Sirius sat in stunned silence for a moment before being able to speak.
“No, you aren’t an idiot. Reg, you don’t like to do anything if you don’t have it planned and written down on a pad of parchment. I agree the way that you handled it probably wasn’t one of you crowning moments but this is Y/n that we are talking about. She adores you. Give me just a second.”
Regulus watched as Sirius took out his phone and quickly sent someone a text. When Sirius’ phone dinged, Regulus nearly yelled.
“She’s at the hospital. Come on. We are going to talk to her.”
“We?”
Regulus questioned. Sirius nodded.
“I am taking you to her and you are going to talk to her before you lose her for good.”

how about reggie with a s/o who has an oral fixation? <33
Absolutely! I literally love this prompt. Mwah. (Also, this is a bit short, sorry!!).
S/O With a Oral Fixation (Regulus Black)
Prompt: Reader sucks off Regulus in the library.
Reader: n/b
Word count: 1.5k
Warning: smut (oral, male receiving), finger sucking, risky sex (in public), “lovely, love, baby”, soft dom Regulus, oral fixation, and spelling mistakes.
Regulus didn’t know why, but it became pretty clear in the first few weeks of dating that you had an oral fixation. He wasn’t sure how this occurred and he wasn’t going to ask in case it was personal, but he always became weirdly worried whenever you always began to chew on your hoodie strings or fingernails.
He found it gross at first, he won’t lie. He always mumbled something like a “don’t do that,” or “take that out of your mouth,” he felt like he was watching over a little kid.
He didn’t want to indulge himself into letting you keep this bad habit, but before he realized it he was replacing your chewed up hoodie strings with his fingers. At first it wasn’t sexual, a simple replacement for the already abused strings and ridged fingernails.
Soon you had become reliant on his fingers, instead of reaching for your hoodie strings you would suck on his fingers. He noticed that half the time you didn’t even realize what you were doing or the way it was having an effect on him. And when his friends began to tease you about it, he snapped at them. Without realizing it, Regulus began to like whenever you seeked him out just to suck on his fingers.
“Baby don’t do that,” he scolded you quietly in the library, you looking up from your book pages not understanding what he meant. He gently took his fingers from your mouth and you puttered at the loss. “M’sorry,” you mumbled embarrassed, wiping your wet lips on your jumper sleeve.
Regulus sighed, rubbing your head gently as he cupped your face in his rough hand. “You can do that later, not right now. We’re in public love,” Regulus promised and you nodded. Your heart felt heavy and with the scolding he gave, you felt a need to suck on something. You ran your tongue across your teeth, sucking on them to try and soothe the urge but it wasn’t enough compared to his fingers.
You lost interest in your book, sighing while laying back in your chair as your eyes fixated on his fingers. You watched him turn the page of his potions book, your eyes following everytime they moved.
You had waited a good few minutes, making sure Regulus was deep in thought before you took his hand and slipped his fingers into your mouth again. Your eyes closed in relief, sighing out deeply as you were finally given something you wanted.
Regulus had snapped out of his daze once he felt his fingers in your mouth, his chin in his hand as he watched you suck on his fingers. You were really such a simple thing.
“I’ll tell you what,” he caught your attention, your eyes snapped open as you pulled his fingers from your mouth, rushing out an apology that he dismissed.
“I still have some work left to do, but if you really need to suck on something you can get on your knees and use my cock,” he offered plainly, and your heart thudded at his word. Your cheeks grew hot, mouth slightly opened as you tried to find an answer for his appeal.
“But- but we’re in public,” you whispered, he always scolded you for sucking on things in public, was this a test?
“I know, but my baby’s needs are a bit more important than mine,” he soothed, he took your elbow, directing you to the edge of your seat. He planted a long kiss against your lips, before pulling away. “Come on,” he whispered. You where completely loss for words or movement and Regulus laughed at your dumb state. He helped you to your knees, placing your hands on his belt.
“Lovely,” he caught your attention and you looked up, he smiled down at you and rubbed a hand through your hair. “Take off my belt,” he told you and you fumbled with the lock. He watched your shaky hands try to push the steel away from the hole, and he caught notice of your frustrated expression.
“Shh, it’s okay,” he comforted after he saw the tears well up. “I’ll help,” he clarified as you set your hands on his knees and waited eagerly. With ease he pulled the steel from the hole and unhooked his belt, he pulled the button from its hole and then zipped his trouser down. Your breath caught in your throat as you watched him pull out his cock, lousily stroking the base. Your hands slapped his away, taking it in yours as you squeezed the flesh against your palm.
Regulus gave a look that you didn’t catch, he was about to pull you away for a punishment but he caught the sensitive look in your eyes and the way you whined like a dog, he decided you needed this a lot more than he thought. He was fascinated with the way your shaky bodied stilled as you took his cock in your mouth, your sigh making him flinch.
This was immediately better than his fingers, your mouth sucking hungrily for more of his length. Your tongue felt at home as you slid it around the underside, you could even pinpoint the thick veins. You paid no mind to the way your knees ached, your cheek resting on his thigh as your eyes slipped closed. This was exactly where you needed to be.
Regulus had to pull himself away from looking down at you, focusing on his book. You became deaf to any noise, not hearing the footsteps that passed by or the scratching off quills. Even with this risky task, you felt safe. You could almost fall asleep, mouth sucking against his hard skin. You didn’t even realize he was close to climax, completely numb to the idea that this also felt good for Regulus too.
You felt a hand through your hair start to gently rub against your scalp, Regulus whispering a gentle encouragement for you to open your eyes. You blinked, looking up with a mouth full of cock. “Hmm mmh,” you gurgled and Regulus nodded like he understood.
“I'm done baby, let’s go to my dorm,” he gently spoke and you squint your eyes confused, how long had it been? You felt his cock slip from your mouth and you grabbed it from his grasp, slipping it back in. Regulus gave a small chuckle and pulled you away while you gurgled and whined for it back.
“Reg I’m not done-“ you told him, drool slipping down your chin as you looked up at him with wide eyes. “Reg I’m not done,” you repeated.
“Shh I know I know,” he shushed gently, rubbing your cheek to calm you down. He slipped his cock back into his trousers and you felt the urge to cry. “I’m telling you we’re going to my dorm,” he finalized once again, your hands going to pull his trouser back down to get his cock.
“No baby, that’s enough,” he whispered, taking your hands and pulling them away. He buckled his belt and you became frustrated. At this point you had begun to cry, tears slipping down your cheeks as you rubbed his thigh. “Please Reggie, I’ll be good, I’ll be really good, can I have your cock now?”
Regulus softened at your words, bringing you up as he sat you in your chair. He leaned close, rubbing your cheeks to wipe away the tears. “I know you’re being good, I just want to take this to my dorm-“ “can I have your cock then?” You cut him off, desperation leaking in your words.
Regulus kissed your forehead and rubbed the low of your back, “I’m not taking my cock away, okay? Please stop the waterworks and listen to what I’m going to say,” he whispered in your ear. You faltered, nodding as he pulled away. Even though you nodded, you began to talk over him once again. Regulus sighed as he grew angry, his thumb slipping into your mouth. You sucked on it without being told, nerves settling as you calmed down.
Once Regulus knew you were going to listen, he began to explain to you again. “You can't have my cock right now,” he started and he saw the flash of anxiety in your eyes and quickly explained himself.
“But, once we get to my dorm I’ll take out my cock and you can suck on it until dinner, you understand?” You nodded, taking his thumb out of your mouth.
You got up quickly, ready to sprint to his dorm but Regulus tugged you back and onto his lap. He firmly placed a hand on your stomach, keeping you from running.
“Lovely, what do you say when I give you something you want?” He whispered and you shuddered, you turned around kissing him quickly. “M’sorry, thank you for the opportunity sir,” you correct yourself.
Regulus let you get up, standing up behind you as he purposely pushed his hard cock against your thigh. You breathed in deeply, stomach whirling.
“Don’t forget your manners again, last time I let it slide today,” he warned, you nodded and Regulus placed a hand on your waist for a warning. “I understand sir,” you corrected yourself again.
“Go on, I’ll see you in my dorm,” he patted your ass and pushed you towards the library exit. Regulus chuckled as he heard you run down the hallway.

Marauders going to a public British secondary school headcannons
coming to you from a real-life Brit who went to a real-life British secondary school
James would be the guy in their year to date someone from the year below and be called a pedo by his friends throughout the entire relationship
Mary would wear so much foundation that if you hugged them they would leave stains on your shirt
Peter was 1000% that kid in bottom set who just didn't care and would do anything in his power to distract the teacher from teaching (and everyone would love him for it)
The “popular” kids would try to talk to Regulus for fun
If Sirius ever got excluded he would still show up at the school gates at the end of the day
Lily and Alice definitely got into a screaming match with each other in the middle of a lesson at least three times despite the fact that they’re best friends
Remus and Lily were together in year 7 for like three weeks and whenever someone brings it up they both deny that it ever happened
Marlene was that one girl that took PE way too seriously
Marlene was also always the last one standing during the bleep test
Speaking of PE Remus always had a doctor's note saying that he couldn't take part so he would be the referee
Since their first day, Emmeline would always wear her hair in a braid and never anything else until year 11 picture day when she came into school with her hair down. The majority of the year didn't recognise her at first.
Pandora joined the school when they were in year 9 and literally everyone JUMPED on her. She was friends with everyone for her first two weeks.
Sirius was the first in the year to come out in year 9 and after that one by one everyone else followed

could you write a coops getting a piercing or tattoo (one or both of them)?
Part 6 of the Coops wedding fics! Thank you to everyone who has read this series--it’s been so much fun writing these, and hearing everyone’s thoughts made the past week an absolute blast. Hope you enjoy!
Check out the rest of the series on the Series Masterlist!
If someone had told twenty-year-old Sirius that in a few years, he would be walking into a tattoo parlor, hand-in-hand with his husband as they prepared to get their wedding date permanently inked on his skin…well, he probably would have laughed in their face. He had never been a big fan of tattoos—they looked cool, sure, but he never understood the point of going through all that hullabaloo for something that would stretch and fade.
Now, though, he saw the point. Wedding rings were amazing, but they were easy to lose; tattoo ink, on the other hand, was a permanent reminder that he had scored the most wonderful person on the planet as his husband.
“Right this way,” Jaya, the young artist with bright blue hair said, smiling as they waved him and Remus into the back. “Congrats on the wedding, by the way. How long has it been?”
“Three weeks.” Remus squeezed his hand and Sirius smiled, running his thumb over the ring. God, he would never get tired of seeing it there.
“It went well, I assume?” Jaya asked as they began setting up.
“It was perfect.” Sirius felt a jolt of fear in his stomach when he saw the tattoo gun, but quickly quashed it down; they had done their research and worked on the design with Jaya even before the actual wedding. He wanted to do this.
“We talked about the process over the phone, but do you have any questions? I’ll go over aftercare again once we’re done.” Jaya paused for a moment, but neither of them spoke up. “Alright, then, which brave soul wants to go first?”
Best to get it over with, Sirius thought. “I can go,” he said, much quieter than intended. Remus raised his eyebrows and he kissed his forehead quickly in reassurance before settling into the chair. He let go of Remus’ hand for a second to pull his shirt over his head, then took it once again and tried to stop the fluttery nerves in his gut.
“Right in the center, yeah?” Jaya leaned down with a stencil, their silver-lined eyes flicking up to Sirius’ face.
“Yep.”
“Alright.” He swallowed hard at the cold feeling of the paper on his skin, just below the hollow of his throat. His neck felt bare without the necklace, but it would be back soon enough. Jaya held a mirror up to show the small numbers. “Look good?”
Sirius nodded. “Let’s do it.”
His heart hammered in his throat and he let out a shaky breath as Jaya cleaned the area and cleaned up their drawing, then picked up the tattoo gun. “Je t’ai,” Remus murmured as he closed his eyes in a last-ditch attempt at relaxing. “You’re alright.”
“Oh, fuck,” Sirius hissed when the needles touched his skin. He clenched his teeth and tightened his grip on Remus’ hand, breathing slowly as pain prickled all across his chest. It felt like a million bee stings, or the last week of his broken ribs healing.
“Do you need a break?” Jaya asked without looking up.
“Just keep going,” he managed, blinking rapidly at the ceiling. The buzzing sound wasn’t quite as frightening as the strange kind of pain, but it certainly didn’t settle his anxiety.
“You okay, baby?” Remus folded his other hand over Sirius’ and traced a pattern into his wrist.
“Mhmm.”
“Lily and James invited us to dinner next week. Harry’s been asking to see the new baby lions at the zoo with you specifically. He’s also learned the word ‘lame’ and won’t stop using it on James.”
“Really?”
“Yep. Lily says it was her fault, but she told James it was me who taught him to say it.” Remus rolled his eyes, but he was smiling.
“It’s karma. You taught him to actually swear, after all.”
“You’re supposed to be on my side,” Remus complained. “The line is, ‘that’s so unfair, sweetheart, and we need to get revenge’.”
“Right, sor—ow.” Sirius blew out a harsh breath as the needle skimmed over a sensitive patch of skin and bit the inside of his lip.
Jaya made a sympathetic noise. “Just a couple more minutes in this area and then we’ll take a break.”
Sirius turned his head toward Remus and quirked an eyebrow. “Were you trying to distract me?”
“It worked, didn’t it?” He moved one hand up to brush the hair off his forehead; Sirius melted into the touch, channeling his attention into the tingly feeling of Remus’ fingers in his hair. “Almost done, love.”
“I’ve got most of it done,” Jaya said, sitting back at last. “Just cleanup work now, and that’ll only take a few minutes. You’re lucky with all the muscle on your chest. It would hurt like a bitch if it was closer to the bone.”
“It already hurts like a bitch,” Sirius laughed, grimacing as Jaya flexed their hand and leaned in again.
“When you two told me your placements at our first appointment, I was a bit surprised,” they murmured, back in the zone already. “Most first-timers don’t choose such sensitive spots.”
“The placement was the important part,” he said, wincing.
“With your necklace, right?”
“Yep.”
“I always like it when people have cute meanings.” Jaya swiped their cloth over the small tattoo before continuing. “I mean, I got most of my ink because I thought it looked cool, but hearing people’s stories is the best part of the job.”
“Would you say the wrist or the chest is more painful?” Remus asked.
Jaya bit their lip. “Depends on the person. The chest area has more bone, but wrists are notorious for hurting.”
Remus hummed, but Sirius heard the edge of tension and kissed the side of his hand. “You’ll be fine.”
“You’re one in the chair,” he laughed. “I’m supposed to be reassuring you right now.”
Jaya glanced up at him. “Count down from thirty for me?”
Sirius frowned in confusion, but obliged; as soon as he reached ‘zero’, Jaya set the tattoo gun down and stretched their back out. “Was that—is it done?”
“Yep. Congrats, you’ve got a tattoo!” Jaya grinned as he sat up, then handed him a mirror. There, in black ink covering a space the size of a quarter, laid a perfect ‘6/12’. The skin around it was bright, angry red, but Sirius was more focused on the familiar slant to the six and the curl of the two; he had seen it written on the PT room whiteboard countless times and, more recently, their mock-up wedding invitations. “Do you like it?”
Sirius cleared his throat as a lump tightened it. “It’s—I love it. Thank you.”
“You’re very welcome.” Jaya handed him his shirt as he stood. Remus took his place, looking a little pale as he rested his hand on the small table Jaya had set up next to the chair. “Still okay with the inside of your wrist?”
Remus hesitated, then set his jaw and nodded. “All good.”
“Are you sure.”
“A hundred percent,”
“Alright, let’s get that stencil on.” Jaya worked with clear intent and smooth ease—that had been one of the main reasons they decided on this shop above the others in the area. The cleaning was quick, Remus approved the stencil, and then they got to work.
“Holy fuck, you weren’t kidding about the wrist,” he half-laughed, gripping Sirius’ hand in a white-knuckled hold. “Now would be a good time to start talking, baby.”
“Oh! Um, we need to pick up eggs from the grocery store.” Jaya had to sit back as they both burst out laughing; Sirius put his face in his free hand to hide his blush. “Sorry, I panicked.”
“Why don’t you tell me about your day with Tremzy?” Remus suggested, wiping tears from the corner of his eyes as he settled back down.
“Yeah, okay,” Sirius said lamely. “Uh, I kicked his ass in Smash Bros.”
“You’ve got yourself a keeper,” Jaya said as they started working on Remus’ wrist again.
He smiled up at Sirius. “I know.”
The next fifty minutes passed much the same as they had while Sirius was getting his tattoo—he chatted almost nonstop, rambling about Logan’s terrible cooking and the standing invitation to bring Regulus along for a ‘we survived the Dumais house’ party. Remus scrunched his face up every few minutes, but Sirius kept their shoulders pressed together as he toyed with his free hand. Jaya gave him a thirty-second countdown as well before wiping away the last of the stray ink with a smile.
“How’s it look?”
Remus’ breath caught when he looked down, running his thumb along the lower edge. “That’s exactly what I wanted, thank you so much.”
“Any time, dude. Both of you have good pain tolerance.” They slid their cart to the side of the room again and stood, gathering some gauze and plastic wrap.
Remus leaned his head on Sirius’ shoulder with a sigh. “You have the prettiest handwriting.”
“And you have no excuse for forgetting our anniversary,” he teased, kissing his cheek. “How’s it feel?”
“Like I just got stabbed by a bunch of needles.”
Jaya snorted as he held his arm out for the bandages. “This might shock you, but…”
The three of them broke down laughing and Sirius shook his head, fiddling with the edge of the tape that he could feel under his shirt. A dull ache had begun spreading warmth over his skin and he knew the itching would drive him half-crazy over the next two weeks, but it was an easy price to pay for having his husband’s handwriting on him for the rest of his life. A permanent ‘I love you’, he had said the night after they decided on the design. Sirius smiled to himself as Jaya outlined the aftercare procedures. Permanent. Permanent sounded good.

A timeline of Yuri Leclerc, up to his enrollment in the Officer’s Academy, consisting of both canon and headcanon dates and events.
He’s born, 1160. (It’s theorized his birth name could be Regulus, but he will be referred to as Yuri throughout below.)
At around seven or eight years old, his mother takes in a struggling old man. She and Yuri nurse him back to health and help him with his needs thereafter. The three of them bonded through his stay, especially he and Yuri, as they would spend a lot of time together while his mother was out making ends meet. The elder taught Yuri to read and write, and Yuri was happy to help the elder with anything he needed. Over time, Yuri would come to see the elder as something of a teacher and grandfather figure.
A little over a year later, an outbreak of the plague sweeps through his hometown. A lot of people catch it, and almost all of those who do die. Yuri is among those who catch it, and having no access to a doctor, or the means to pay for one anyway, he gets very sick very quickly, with an almost certain death imminent. Then, when it’s clear Yuri won’t be getting better, the elder treats him, his methods entirely mysterious, and Yuri recovers. The elder dies shortly after.
Once the outbreak begins dying out, having taken much of the town with it, the remaining people get back to living as best they can. Yuri’s mother moves the two of them to a nearby town where they continue struggling to get by. It’s here that Yuri makes new friends his age and in similar situations, and with a population that hasn’t been almost entirely wiped out, the young ones begin getting creative with how they use that population to get by.
Yuri becomes a part of what he would call a gang (they’re a bunch of street kids doing petty crime together with varying degrees of proficiency from member to member), and with high intelligence and the naivety of a kid, and very little actual adult guidance, Yuri is quick to believe he’s ready to set out and do bigger crimes with better payout. His mother protests, but he does not listen.
And, true to his goals, he begins roaming around the Adrestian Empire, committing higher-stakes crimes. Mostly frauds, scams, and burglaries, but anything he can use his charm, intelligence, and dexterity to do well is on the table as an option, as far as he’s concerned. Frequently, he has portions of his earnings sent back to his mother.
Some time in the year 1172, Yuri is hired out as an assassin. His target is the young Bernadetta von Varley. He sets out and is able to become the assistant to their gardener to get close. Unfortunately, finding a true friend (something he hasn’t had since he set out from home) in Bernadetta, when the time comes to kill her, he can’t bring himself to do it. He is, however, caught in the act of trying to go through with it by Count Varley, and he’s taken and very nearly beaten to death for it. In fairness to all involved, it did look like he was about to kill a young girl, and it’s very likely they intentionally stopped short of actually killing him due to him also being so young.
After he recovered, he continued roving about the Empire for a little while, carrying on very much as he had, though never taking another assassination job as a kid. Soon enough though, he heads back to Faerghus, to visit his mother for the first time since he’d left. He, of course, expects her to be angry with him, but she cries and embraces him when she sees him. Yuri promises himself then that he’ll not abandon her like that again, and that he’ll make sure she can live more comfortably when he’s not there.
When he sets off again, his mother wishes he wouldn’t go, but Yuri promises to visit more frequently, and they part on better terms than they did the first time.
By the year 1174, Yuri is able to use (stolen) old records of family lineage to cherry-pick a distant and isolated Rowe relative (descended from a female relative who married into a Leclerc family) who had, naturally, tragically died in a plagued village, along with his other parent, when he was just a child. He’s able to convince Count Rowe of this, and that he’s worth being brought in as his adoptee. It’s at this time that Yuri actually takes the name Yuri. From there, he leverages his new position for all manner of new advantages in life.
From there, in year 1176, Yuri is able to be enrolled in the Officer’s Academy, where he learns he is in possession of the Crest of Aubin, and that he is the only one who is.

Asher was crawling. Crawling.
The doctor had said to start expecting it around nine months or later, but apparently Asher was determined to prove him incorrect and started at eight months. Remus and Sirius had just finished putting the baby gates and childproofing more of the house when Regulus arrived.
Tonight was their first date night out of the house in a very long time. James and Lily had come over to theirs to make it easier a couple nights, but now they were finally getting to go to a restaurant.
Sirius swung open the door, looking frazzled as Asher followed after his dad, albeit a bit slower but he was moving. Regulus’s eyes widened, “He’s crawling.”
Asher looked up at the new voice, squealing happily as he saw his Uncle. Sirius swung him up off the floor once he got close enough, “Yeah, just started last night. He’d been trying for a while but now he just doesn’t stop. We’ve got baby gates and everything up.” He said, running a hand through his hair as he led Regulus into the house, showing him on the gates worked.
Singing was coming from the bathroom, some top 40s pop song. Regulus chuckled softly as Sirius pulled the door closed all the way, “James and Lily are picking us up, so the car will be here if you happen to need it. Sometimes Asher will fall asleep easier there.” He explained, picking up toys as he went.
Asher babbled happily, tapping at Sirius’s shoulder until he let him down once they got into the living room. He crawled across the floor until he got to where Regulus sat before plopping back on his butt, smiling up at him proudly as if to say look what I can do.
Regulus smiled softly, a smile that was mostly saved for his nephew. He had never been around kids much, except for when he was one himself, but he was learning. He glanced up at his brother, blinking in surprise when he found that Sirius was already looking back, “Uh.. so where are you guys going for dinner?”
“Just Sids as far as I’m aware. We really don’t wanna go too far, just in case. Still makes me nervous to leave him.” Sirius said with a shrug as he watched Asher play with some blocks on the floor. Regulus nodded because he’d be nervous too. Mon Dieu, he was nervous. He was about to be the only one watching this baby for at least 3-4 hours. Maybe he should’ve asked Leo to come over and help.
Just as Regulus was about to panic, Remus walked out, hair still wet from the shower. He smiled when he saw his soon-to-be brother in law, “Hey, Reg. Thanks again for watching him, we really appreciate it.” He said, leaning on the arm of Sirius’s chair.
Regulus shrugged, “Of course, you guys need to get out of this house for things other than practice.”
They chatted for a little bit when there were multiple honks from outside, repeating obnoxiously. Sirius rolled his eyes as he got up, “Lily must’ve let James drive.”
Remus picked Asher up, smothering him with kisses, “You be good for your uncle, bub.” He turned to look at Regulus. “He’s been going down to sleep around 8pm, so he’ll probably start getting whiny in an hour or two. He has formula already mixed in the fridge, but there’s also some cereal he likes on the counter. If you need anything, just call or text us.”
Leaning in to press a kiss to his baby’s chubby cheek, Sirius took Asher and passed him over to his brother, “Thanks again, Reg.” He said, giving him a hug before they were gone.
Asher sniffled softly, his lower lip pushed out as he stared at the door his parents had just walked through. Regulus rocked side to side a bit, trying to distract him, “No tears, Ash. We’re gonna be okay.” He turned on the TV, finding one of the shows Sirius had said Asher liked to watch.
Sitting down with him on the couch, Regulus let out a shaky breath as Asher’s eyes glued to the TV. They were going to be fine. He had helped take care of Asher before. He could change a diaper. He could feed him. Just the thought that he was the only person between his nephew and uncertain death. But it was fine. They’re fine.
Around an hour later, Asher seemed to get bored of the show and crawled into his uncle’s lap, tapping at his chest as he started babbling.
Regulus smiled, “What’s up? You hungry? Should we get a bottle, mon petit?” He asked as he got up, resting Asher on his hip. Together they headed to the kitchen, Regulus grabbing one of the pre-made bottles from the fridge.
Asher reached for the bottle, eyes wide as soon as it was in his sight. Laughing as he got him settled in the crook of his arm, Regulus brought the bottle to Asher’s lips, “Un garçon tellement affamé.”
Latching onto the bottle quickly, Asher started drinking the formula, his head resting happily on Regulus’s chest. It was still crazy to think that this was his brother’s son. He had a whole nephew that he would get to watch grow up, and do amazing things.
The bottle was finished quickly, Asher smacking his lips around the empty bottle. Regulus set it aside before grabbing a towel, throwing it over his shoulder to burp Asher.
He propped him up on his shoulder, gently patting his back as he paced the kitchen until he heard the quiet burp. Regulus wiped off his face with the towel before bringing him back to the living room, setting him on the floor to play with his toys.
It was going extremely well, and he said so to the group chat he was in with the cubs. Finn sent a thumbs up emoji, and Leo told him he knew he could do it. And he had. Regulus had confided in Leo when Sirius had first asked him, nervous that he would fuck it up. Leo was shaking his head before Regulus could even finish his worries. He told him that he would be fine, that Asher loved him and Sirius obviously trusted him enough to ask. He was lucky to have Leo as a friend.
As he set his phone aside, he realized he had a problem. A big problem. Regulus couldn’t have been on the phone for more than 30 seconds, but apparently in that time, Asher had managed to crawl out of sight.
His heart was pounding in his chest as Regulus jumped up from the couch, “Asher!” Looking under the couch, the table, searching the living room, the baby was nowhere in sight.
“Oh no, no no no no!” He ran his fingers through his hair anxiously. He lost the kid. He lost his brother’s baby. Sirius was going to kill him. Remus. Oh Remus was going to have him murdered, and no one would ever find his body.
As he pondered over who would let him hide at their house, he heard it. A loud clatter coming from one of the other rooms.
He followed the noise, which led him to… the kitchen? Shit. He had forgotten to close the baby gate. When he walked in, he couldn’t help but laugh.
Asher had found his way into the pots and pans. All of them. They were strewn across the kitchen with his nephew right in the middle, a large pot in front of him. He grinned happily up at his uncle, slamming tiny hands on the pot.
Regulus squatted down in front of him, chuckling, “You scared me, petit homme. Planning to be a drummer? Should I get you a little drum set?” He asked.
Letting out a loud squeal, Asher leaned onto the pot before a big yawn interrupted his smile.
“Getting tired? Should we get to sleep?” Regulus picked him up, carrying him to the nursery. “Let’s get you in a clean diaper and some pjs.”
Regulus changed his diaper quickly, not wanting him to be cold for too long before slipping him into a pair of soft dragon pajamas that he had bought for Asher.
Turning on the mobile above the crib, Regulus gently laid Asher down while making sure his blanket and lion stuffie were in reach, “Good night, Ash. Love you.” He whispered, running his hand through black curls.
Just as he was about to close the door, Regulus heard a quiet whimper. He turned back and was met with the worst case of the puppy dog eyes staring back at him through the side of the crib. He walked back in, “What’s up, bub?”
As soon as he leaned over the crib, Asher was making grabby hands at him, his lower lip pushed out in a pout.
Regulus let out a sigh, picking him up, “Alright just for a little bit.” He murmured as Asher cuddled into his chest. He carried him back to the living room, laying down on the couch. Letting Asher rest on his chest, he pulled a blanket to cover them both.
“Just for a couple minutes, d'accord?” Regulus murmured, wrapping an arm around Asher’s small body. A soft snuffle was the only answer he got, Asher clutching at Regulus’s shirt as he dozed.
Not long after they laid down, Regulus was out too. Who knew taking care of a baby was so tiring?
Remus and Sirius got home an hour or so later, quickly shushing each other as they saw the adorable scene on their couch. Sirius couldn’t help but take a couple pictures as Remus wandered into the kitchen.
“Why is every single one of our pots on the floor?”

THINGS I LOVE ABOUT:
Sweater Weather, by @lumosinlove
... and other related works.
SPOILER FREE
Short(er) Remus Rights. One of the big things I dislike about a lot of people within any fandom is how much they can sometimes gatekeep different interpretations of characters. Remus and Sirius get a lot of this - there are interpretations of their characters that the majority of the fandom has decided to agree on, and anything outside of that is somehow wrong. For me, Remus is the hardest, because my interpretation is at times the exact opposite of what the fandom seems to have agreed on. I won't go into too much detail here, but one of my points is that I imagine Remus as shorter and smaller than Sirius. A lot of people will come for your next if you don't think that Remus is like seven feet tall or something ridiculous. Overall, Hazel's Remus has always lined up a lot with my interpretation of him. It's just nice to see Remus written and described in a way that I also imagine him in my head. (I may make another post explaining myself more in depth on this one...)
Use of French, and Hockey Accuracy. When reading Sweater Weather, I would be constantly translating the French that is used by multiple characters in the story, and was pleasantly surprised to find that the use of the language seemed to be a lot more accurate and genuine than a simple google translate plug (which... No hate, I've been there.) It made me wonder if Hazel actually knows French? At least a little? Also the descriptions of Hockey both on and off the ice feel really real and accurate, especially after I finished the story and started to look more into Hockey (because I'm probably on my way to becoming a Hockey fan now) and was ecstatic to find a lot of the things being discussed in the story also being discussed in real hockey clips and videos. This is most likely due to Hazel being a Hockey fan and actually understanding the sport instead of just fudging it. (Which again, I would be guilty of.)
Healthy Polyamorous Relationship(s). I have very rarely read anything with a polyamorous relationship. Period. But when I do I have that awful monogomous-normative voice in the back of my head that tells me which two are "actually in love" and which one is "the third wheel" and I definitely don't have that awful voice regarding the real life polyamorous relationships I've seen. Hazel does a wonderful job at developing every interpersonal relationship with O'Knutzy as well as how they all work together. (And O'Darwin is new to me, but I already love it so, so much)
Varying Relationship Lengths. There are relationships of varying shapes and sizes. Some take years to say "I love you" while others are engaged less than two years after getting together. I think it's easy to forget nowadays that you don't need to be dating for years before getting married and starting a family - and it doesn't need to be in that order.
That Hurt/Comfort tho. Hurt/Comfort is may favorite genre perhaps ever. And in Hockey there is a lot of hurt, so it makes sense to be followed up by a lot of comfort. It's perfect. *chef's kiss*
Feeling Things With The Characters. In almost every scene I could feel how each character felt and kind of get a sense of what's going on in their heads. There were times in these works where I could really feel that longing or loneliness or pain or sadness. I don't get to feel that intensely that often when reading fanfiction, and these fics make me feel all the things.
These are just a few of the broader themes I enjoyed while reading Sweater Weather.
SPOILERS AHEAD
TOP FIVE FAVORITE SCENES:
The All Stars Game (AKA all of Chapter 15) I loved this chapter, because it captures the entire arc of the pain Remus and Sirius feel after being outed, the steps they take to actually talk about it and talk to eachother again and get through it together, to once again being on the same page, and rooting for and protecting eachother more fiercely than ever. I loved the team members coming over to be with Remus and watch the game, I loved Remus's past coming to light, I loved Sirius punching Greyback in the face, Regulus being rescued. I even loved hearing the terrible things the press had to say, because I love that kind of drama it gets me so worked up (... In works of fiction. In real life that stuff would make me very, very angry.)
Remus Talking to Logan (Chapter 13) I love this scene because it really shows basically every side of the O'Knutzy drama, and because I could really feel Logan's pain and panic in this scene. I loved how soft and kind Remus was in trying to talk to Logan about it, at the same time trying to keep him calm. I loved Finn walking in and seeing that Logan was hurting and immediately wanting to fix it, nearly ready to fight Remus, who was getting in his way. And I love the final part, where Remus suggests Logan tell 'them' he loves them, all the while promising himself he would tell Sirius the same thing. I think this scene is the perfect crossover point between Coast to Coast and Sweater Weather, and progresses both storylines flawlessly.
Family Skate (Chapter 12) I think it's hat I liked most about this scene was the Team learning not only that Remus used to play, but just how good he was, and still is. I loved how shocked they are, and the foreshadowing when Arthur asks Remus if he has any tapes. I really like the somber tone around Remus's injury, and how tragic it is, and the team can really understand that. It also sets the time for just how much this injury is affecting Remus even to this day. Aside from all that serious stuff, seeing the Team with little kids is also super cute. And James finding out about the necklace.
The Game Against Vegas (Chapter 16) I liked this scene a lot because you can really feel how much the team wants to avenge Remus. I liked the tense interactions between Remus and Greyback, especially the part where Remus said "you're not my teammate". One of my favorite moments is at the end of this chapter when Remus is spiraling in a gas station parking lot, and all of his old superstitions are coming back to him. The Angst Levels are astronomical.
Leo and Finn Like Eachother (Coast to Coast, Chapter 4) I honestly loved this scene so much, the emotional roller coaster Leo went through, the hesitance surrounding the whole "all three of us" question. The pain Leo feels when he thinks the kiss was only out of confusion, and that Finn only loved Logan. The relief he feels when Finn says he likes him. It's just a master piece. (Honorable mention for when all three of them get together in the next chapter: it was such a close tie.)
All in all, Sweater Weather is such a good read, and I love that I'm still immersed even after I've read the fic so many times. I'm going to keep following Vaincre, and I have a lot of ficlets planned out for this universe, coming soon.
Lots of love and praise to Hazel, who wrote not only such a good story, but wonderful characters (both Harry Potter, and original) as well.

Note
tiny pansy rant, cut short so it’s *hopefully* not too long:
i. wanted. to. see. her. change! and in my opinion the reason she never got the chance was because jkr used her character to make fun of people she disliked :/
pretty much all the other noteable slytherins had some sort of redemption arc,, and yeah they’re still mostly problematic people but they got chances: snape, draco, narcissa, regulus, slughorn, leta and technically andromeda? you get the point i just—
like miss ma’am decided to make pansy,, the like slytherin stereotype? and have her want to betray harry? she was seventeen ffs, not bellatrix lestrange. she was in the middle of a war? in my personal opinion i don’t think that she wanted to hand harry over out of cruelty like. it’s possible? but maybe she was just scared? also don’t we know that pansy was terrified at the thought of like. voldemort coming to hogwarts? again: everyone expects all of the children in harry potter to be these selfless brave individuals,, they’re kids :( yes ik it’s ya fantasy but cmon. they were supposed to be stressed about the N.E.W.T exams not the upheaval of their society?
and don’t get me wrong i know that she was. not a good person. she was a bitchy teenage bully who was taught hateful views. but i wanted to see her change even a little– even draco marries someone who presumably teaches him how to treat people equally? like. there was so much room for change: she was a prefect, she was capable of some kindness seeing as she liked draco, or alternatively, we could’ve seen her break away from draco and potentially stop hating harry/all his friends quite so much or develop her own opinions. or maybe her group of friends that she used for validation throughout her school years was uprooted during the war and she had to learn that independency? or her pointing out harry could’ve been turned into trying to be selfless, like she thought they’d be safe that way, or she returned later fighting with reinforcements to show she was on Hogwarts’ side. jkr is always like "well they technically came back to fight, if you squint » but that’s not enough. also? let’s say we did get a glimpse of her during the actual battle: there could’ve been anything, the smallest scene, that showed some sort of support or reconciliation or something between her and hermione, considering how hermione was often pansy’s target. everybody wants to see forgiveness between draco and harry because of minor events/details (i dislike drarry but that’s besides the point), but imagine what could’ve changed with some semblance of apology or assistance from pansy to hermione. there were so many chances for r*wling to give her a smallest redemption
but instead we got her characterized as evil and a stupid, cowardly traitor. she the only person we ever see her care for marries her friends younger sister. she’s the written depiction of jkr’s bitterness and her arc is jkr’s vengeance.
also, another reason that i’m so mad she got nothing is because of the whole slytherin=evil thing. she’s made into a stereotype of a “slytherin”— cruel, selfish, shallow, ugly, and asinine. (also i could rant about slytherin forever, but can we just mention that jkr consistently refers to slytherins as physically ugly and just how fucked up that is? i– wtf). but anyway: to give pansy a chance to change is to give the slytherin house a chance to change its reputation. trying to justify that the slytherin house got its redemption because of the actions of ppl like snape or regulus, etc isn’t possible. because all of those “slytherin heroes” were described again and again as being “different from all the other slytherins”. they set themselves apart by being decent. they weren’t normal slytherins, no, they were set apart, they were brave and smart and kind— not evil. there’s no redemption to be found there. i wish jkr would just fucking say that being sorted into slytherin was being made into a villain. she dodged around it with rhetorical questions and pointing out how not All of them are bad,, and then will go on to mock the other slytherins and talk about how the heroes were Not Like The Other Snakes... again: there’s no redemption of slytherin as a house, as a quality, as a concept there. it’s just the redemption of an individual.
in pansy, however, we could’ve found so much more. like i said, she’s The Average Slytherin: not a hero, not a villain like voldemort. she’s made out to be a depiction of the typical slytherin student, one without a “destiny”, so to speak. and so to give her the chance, to see her change, to have her redefine herself? that would be a starting point for restoring slytherin as a whole (obviously not the best way, and the real best thing to do would be not to make an entire house be the bad guys in the first place, but–) to have someone who’s the figurehead of slytherin (like actually a figurehead,, girl is a even a prefect) show remorse and growth gives the entire house the seed of redemption. it would mean that after over a thousand years there could be peace between the houses. obviously not the only factor in reconciliation but still so important.
and not to just continue to heap on my own issues with it, but look. i know that there are so many other ways to introduce “mundane” antagonists without making them a symbol of anything. pansy could’ve been a bitch without representing slytherin. also pansy doesn’t have to break character and become kind for amends to be made. they don’t even have to be fully made, just started. but jkr chose to:
a.) go with bullying as a minor antagonistic element
b.) create and develop a character around that theme
c.) make this character only based on her own negative personal experiences
d.) turn that character into a representation of a much larger group of people
e.) deny that character any final moment that could begin to make amends for her actions and instead, chooses to make her “defining” moment an act of evil and cowardice
f.) either neglects the character or chooses plot points that would humiliate the character in all the glimpses of the future we are shown (ex. how dracos marriage is)
g.) openly mocks and insults the character repeatedly and never directly comes out and proves she didn’t write slytherins as evil
h.) to the best of my knowledge, ignores that pansy personifing slytherin, whether intentionally or unintentionally, and then characterizing both as “bad” and not giving them a chance to grow, is a summary of her thoughts on slytherin ls and is a possible interpretation of the text (i mean her opinions are already TRASH)
i. ignores the consequences of this or the possible effect it has on her entire fanbase and doesn’t seek to remedy it
but yeah, jkr, it was such a good idea to base a character off of your loathesone memories, take your anger out on her, and that choose to have that character partially represent a large percentage of your fanbase. thank you sooooo much. i really appreciate it!
summary:
I. Pansy— deserved an opportunity to have some character development. everyone else’s mistakes get overlooked to some degree save hers. had so many places to draw inspiration/opportunity from. could’ve progressed other ideas in the book and the analysis of her house while still remaining a “dislikable” character
II. Writing— from a “technical?” aspect, Pansy is underdeveloped and stagnant, used for personal reasons instead of as a plot device. perpetuates the slytherin=bad idea via a sloppy and repetitive characterization and emblem. there are ways around this that weren’t used.
III. I have no qualifications to be saying any of this lmao. Am I reading to much into it, knowing that Rowling tends to be shitty with writing details? Am I being dramatic and repetitive? probably!
IV. Fuck JKR (for everything. she’s an awful person)
anyways this has been: my mini-rant on pansy and her analysis,,, and i am terribly sorry,, i offer my apologies in advance for randomly dumping this into your inbox. it’s long and opinionated and there’s no real reason behind it! i just thought of it and then thought about it some more and then. here we are
ilysm mwah <3 should’ve definitely done something more productive but shh😭 rat brain hours
this is everything, you're completely right. i don't have much to add but i agree all the way. and people give pansy so much shit for the harry thing but she seemed genuinely scared of voldemort coming back and i really think that she believed he would leave them alone if they gave him up. from her perspective, it's either her and the people she cares about get to live or this guy that she not only isn't close to but probably sees as the bad guy considering she dated/was best friends with draco and witnessed their rivalry from his side. did she make the best decisions? no, not at all but i see her reasons and i don't think it makes her this antichrist that jkr makes her out to be. she pulled the “he's just a boy” with draco and had people sympathise with him when he did so so much worse than pansy did so why doesn't that apply to her? she's a kid. they all are. i love harry, ron, and hermione SO MUCH but jkr really said fuck everyone who isn't them ─ especially any girl who isn't her precious hermione. she projected her own pettiness onto fictional characters who are CHILDREN and proceeded to get upset when people connected to and loved other people that she herself made. creating such an underdeveloped character and expecting people to hate her just because she imagined her as her bully is beyond immature and ridiculous. anyways. jkr take a fucking chill pill and leave my girl alone.

The Answers to your wonderful questions😌💙💜
1) Would he ever settle down?
No, I don't think he'll ever settle down. He's pretty content with the life he's living.
2) Who would he end up settling down with?
If he ever did settle down with someone, he'd pick someone kind and sweet. Maybe he'll start an actual relationship with Xenophilius & Pandora.
3) Was he ever a stripper? (he could have definitely been the next Magic Mike💀 "Now welcoming to the stage The Half-blood Prince")
Severus has an account on one of those expensive live pxrn wedcam sites. There he strips and does other things, he doesn't wanna be around drunk people. He does what he can to stay safe.
4) Does he sleep with older men and women because he thinks that they would have more respect for him and his body or does Sev have a Daddy/Mommy kink?
Sort of, Severus doesn't really care about a person's age so long as they're of age. If they aren't then he won't spare you a second glance. He may be a whore but he has rules that he and anyone who wants to be with him have to follow, otherwise you're out of luck. He's very careful on who he sleeps with. Also he does infact have a daddy/mommy kink.
5) Does he do make-up designs?
Severus does do make-up designs. He learned how to use make up from some older girls back in cokeworth. He's been practicing how to create gorgeous designs ever since.
6) Does he make his own clothes/trends? (He's probably a thrift shopper huh?)
I like the idea that Severus was taught how to sew by his mother, so I would say that he does I'm fact make his own clothes but not all the time. The rest of his clothes is bought from small businesses. He does sell some of the clothes he makes for a very cheap price and does make custom clothing for also a cheap price.
7) How does he sleep? Naked, In Underwear, a Nightgown, Short-Shorts and a tank top maybe, or full Pajamas?
Severus sleeps in a large loose shirt and shorts. He use to sleep naked but Regulus once barged into his room after having another nightmare and asked to sleep in his bed that night. Since then he no longer sleeps naked seeing as Regulus still gets nightmares but not as much as before.
8) How does he like his coffee? Iced, Frozen, Hot, Creamed, or does he just eat coffee beans straight from the bag like a sleep deprived monster?
He's addicted to all types of coffee, mostly iced coffee.
9) Any Pets? Cats? Dogs?
He's has 2 cats, several fishes, 2 owls, 1 snake, and 3 dogs that are very well trained to attack intruders without making a single sound.
10) Babysitting? Does he babysit Draco on his days off?
Severus always baby-sits Draco and he baby-sits Luna as well. He loves them both and he treats them as if they're his own kids.
11) Does he scold Regulus for fighting other kids at school? (Kids are mean they probably make fun of Regulus because of Sev's profession)
You best believe that Severus scolds Regulus for getting into fights. Severus is upset but he understands why, so he does what he can to get Regulus to control his emotions and how to make snarky comebacks to burn his enemies
12) Alcohol, Cigarettes, or Weed?
Severus drinks the finest of wines, something his clients gift him. Sometimes on dates he'll drink whatever alcohol they offer him but only after he checks to see if it's safe. Severus doesn't smoke a lot but he does from time to time. Sometimes he, Regulus, and Barty smoke together up on the roof of their house. Severus only smokes weed whenever he has an extremely stressful day.
13) Would Sev rub it in Sirius' face that he slept with his mom/dad (maybe both lol), adopted his brother, and has an unlimited amount of money at his disposal?
He does, he really does. Severus seduced Orion and blackmailed him into giving him custody over Regulus. Eventually word got out and Walburga was furious about it but Regulus was all but thrilled cause hey he no longer has to live with them. Everytime Sirius insults Severus about being a whore, Sev would simply take out a few gold galleons toss them at Sirius and say "Here now you can afford to breathe in my direction" and then walk away like the bad bitch he is.
14) How would the Hogwarts Staff during the Marauders Era react to this new Severus?
They would be shocked as hell, and a little concerned but they wouldn't interfere.
15) Would Severus go back to Hogwarts for Regulus and Barty's career day? Would he get up and speak? Omg would he arrive late and with style or early and just observe?
Ah yes career day. The headmaster would ask Severus to come speak about his profession in potions. Severus of course agrees and once he sets foot on the stage people are confused. Why? Because of his appearance. He has ripped black skinny jeans, a black tank top along with a loose dark purple crop top with the word prince written on it in dark blue, combat boots, he has a double ringed overlap piercing on his lip, chained earrings and some ear piercings, his has a few tattoos on his body, and his hair is up in a bun which is being held by his wand.
He then proceeds to talk about his experience at Hogwarts and everything he does. He talks about being a Potions master, a crafter of clothing, a whore but he doesn't say much, and of being a care giver. He talks about his home life and how he became the very person he is now, he also speaks about how the school didn't do well in protecting him and why he took matters into his own hands. The Professors and Headmaster try to get him to stop, but it's of no use. He's an expert in wandless and wordless magic so all their attempts are useless and he speaks every word with pride. By the end of it everyone cheers and Severus simply stares at the Headmaster and gives him the finger before leaving.

Can you please write a fic where James is a rich, star footballer and Sirius comes in to work as his super hott personal bodyguard??? And then James starts crushing on him hard but Sirius is hesitant because he could lose his job over this!!!! Please please please write this... I am a biiiig fan of your work... God Bless❤️
"What? I don't need a bodyguard," James said. The very idea was preposterous.
Coach glared at him, but the rest of the team was slightly more reserved in staring him down. The whole administrative team was there, from the head coach to the team's PR representative. "There have been threats."
"So? I also got threatened when I was seventeen and nothing ever came of it."
The team manager jumped in then. "This isn't a schoolyard threat made because you stole someone's girlfriend. Or- whatever," he said, fumbling a little-- as he always did-- when he said something thoughtless and remembered that James was gay afterwards. That being said, James definitely had stolen some girlfriends at school because it was the best approximation he could get for what attraction to women was. "These are extremely conservative people who want you dead and aren't shy about showing they're serious," the team manager continued. "Even if they don't manage to kill you, they could permanently injure you, effectively ending your career. Is that what you want?"
James huffed, knowing that he was being a little petulant and not caring. "No," he admitted. If he'd been just talking to his mates, he never would've admitted it, but they'd all gotten together to sit him down and make sure he listened to them; they wouldn't have bothered if they weren't seriously concerned.
"Then get a goddamn bodyguard," Coach said. "It won't be forever-- just until these people realise they have better things to do with their time than harass a popular footballer."
"Fine." If James had known it would be this much trouble to come out, he wouldn't have done it. He'd just been thinking that he might like to date someone for real. He'd also thought about himself when he was younger and how he could've figured out that he fancied men before he was twenty sodding three if one of his favourite footie players had been gay (and out. He wasn't discounting the idea entirely just because they hadn't said anything.). "I don't know where to find one though."
"We've got a list of possibilities," someone else said, handing James a sheet of paper-- for the life of him, James couldn't remember what she did, but in his defense, he'd only met her once as an introduction and then seen her in passing at the past six years of holiday parties. On the paper was a list of agencies, their websites, and phone numbers to contact them. There wasn't any mention of price, but it's not like James was pressed for cash or anything. Hell, he'd already reached his lifetime savings amount and didn't really know what to do with the salary he was still getting. Might as well use some of it to stay safe and pacify his bosses.
*
James had weighed all his options and looked at all of the information he'd been given, and he still couldn't decide. He'd handed the list to Remus, and he'd picked one at random; James took his choice as a good decision and called the company up. They made everything so easy for him that he was beginning to think Remus had special choosing powers. From now on, James was going to run his decisions by Remus before doing anything.
And then he actually met his bodyguard. He couldn't decide if this was better than before, or worse. Either way, he didn't think asking Remus for advice would really be the way that he wanted for his life to go.
He was told that his bodyguard's name was Sirius, and they had a first meeting at the company to sort out a few details. If James was a smart person, he would've taken one look at Sirius and said, "Thanks but no thanks, can I get someone else?" But James wasn't smart. He was a dumbarse. A dumbarse that let his heart make decisions for him. Sirius was, in a word, gorgeous. He had a face that looked like it belonged on the cover of a magazine, and a smile that stopped James's breath in its tracks. He was sure that Sirius was good at his job, but James rather doubted his decision to accept him as a bodyguard. He wasn't going to be able to focus for shite.
James explained the situation to Sirius-- the boring stuff, about why he needed a bodyguard-- and he didn't blink at him being bent. Either he already knew that because he followed football, he didn't care, or he cared but was a very good actor. James imagined that there was a certain amount of acting as a bodyguard, but he'd also like to think that Sirius wouldn't have accepted if it bothered him.
James had been afraid that Sirius was going to walk slightly to the side and behind him and stay resolutely silent the whole time, but he carried a conversation alright as they walked to James's car. "I'm sure you get this all the time and you're annoyed with it, but why's your name Sirius?"
The look on Sirius's face showed that he was very much used to the question, even though he didn't look annoyed by it. "Named after the star in Canis Major. Being named after stars is sort of a family thing."
"Really?" James asked. He was instantly charmed. Sirius hadn't even put much effort into it, but James was head over heels after exchanging two words with him.
"Mmhmm. My brother's Regulus, my father and great-grandfather were both Orion, and I've got a cousin named Bellatrix."
"Wow. Your family must've been made fun of a lot when they were kids."
Sirius snorted, and James looked at him curiously.
"What?"
"I wouldn't call any of us... well-behaved children. Got in a lot of fights."
"Ah, and it led to you being a bodyguard?"
Sirius shrugged with an easygoing smirk. "Might as well do something you're good at, right?"
*
"It's total rubbish that they're putting McLaggen in before you," Sirius said one day after practice.
"Right?" Then he paused. Sirius hadn't been around long enough to be so certain of that. Which meant, "I knew you were a fan. Why didn't you say anything?"
"I didn't want to freak you out. You're dealing with enough right now that I didn't want for you to worry about your bodyguard fawning over you."
"Aww, you fawn over me?" James asked, unable to help a pleased smile.
"It's called knowing who the best is," Sirius said with a wink.
*
"You don't get along with your brother?" James asked. Personally, he didn't have any siblings, but from what he understood, those relationships were often complicated. Lily, for example, cared about her sister even though-- as far as James could tell-- she was kind of an irredeemable twat that didn't seem to like Lily at all.
Sirius shrugged. "He wants to like our parents, but now that he disagrees with them on everything, it's not easy. I keep telling him that his life would be easier if he stopped talking to them, but he feels all guilty about it." He rolled his eyes expressively. "I think he thinks that he owes them for them not being worse."
"You both should get new parents," James said. "I volunteer my own."
"I think you stop needing new parents when you're an adult."
"Words that can only be spoken by someone with shite parents. Maybe you don't need parents anymore, but if Regulus is still trying to connect with them, it means he needs someone. My parents are great. Mum will probably see him smile once and then demand he come to Saturday night dinners for the next ten years."
Sirius snickered.
"Oh, I'm not joking," James insisted. "Lily and I haven't been together since we were eighteen, and she still comes over for dinner when she can make it."
"Only you would be on such great terms with your ex that your parents would do that."
"Bold of you to assume my parents wouldn't have done it whether we were on good terms or not. They blood adore her, and that didn't stop because we weren't dating anymore. I swear, they love every single friend I let them meet. If I introduced them to your brother? He wouldn't make it out of that house without them knowing his favourite dessert. He wouldn't stand a chance."
"Maybe that's what he needs," Sirius said, sounding amused. "We'll have to set that up when this all blows over."
*
James's first problem with Sirius had been that he was so gorgeous James couldn't think for shite. His second problem with Sirius was that he was an attractive person all around, not just in his face. Honestly, who had decided that someone should get to be that pretty and also be that funny? It wasn't fair to the rest of humanity.
He'd never been shy, so he told Sirius that he fancied him shortly after figuring it out. Thinking a bloke was fit as hell was one thing. Actually fancying him was quite another. People were fit all the time, and James had never lost sleep over it. He knew he'd regret it if he sat around and pined after Sirius uselessly though.
He told Sirius, and Sirius looked at him for a second, then blinked. "Erm. James, I can't- I could get fired for dating a client."
"Right." That made sense. "I hadn't thought of that." He really hadn't thought about it, but who'd want to hire a bodyguard that had a history of hooking up with who they were protecting? Hell, the company could get looked into for solicitation if it happened often enough. If James had thought of that, he would've kept his mouth shut until the end of Sirius's employment with him. "Just... y'know, if you were interested, I'm probably not going to need a bodyguard for much longer." He'd checked back in with the admin team, and they'd said that by next year, he should be good. New information was popping up on people that James's despisers hated more, so they were starting to leave him alone. At least, that's what he'd gotten from the conversation even if it wasn't entirely accurate.
"I know," Sirius said with half a smile. "I was there for that conversation, remember?"
"I'd forgotten," James admitted, a little ashamed. He wasn't the best at paying attention to several things at once when he really cared about one of them more than the others. In that case, he ended up thinking about the one thing and trying desperately to pay attention to the rest. That day, he was pretty sure he'd been so focused on getting his life back to normal that he'd ignored Sirius, and even the talk about their upcoming game.
*
"Bloody hell," Sirius said, one arm around James as he half-carried, half-guided him down the street so they could catch a cab. "I signed up to be your bodyguard, not your designated driver." Despite his complaining, he didn't sound upset, more amused.
"You could be both," James said slowly, having to put more effort into his words than usual since he was sloshed. He preferred speaking Hindi when he was pissed; it was just easier than English. He didn't think Sirius knew Hindi though, and the only thing he wanted right now was to enjoy Sirius's company.
Sirius laughed. "Maybe so, but I preferred just doing one."
"Heeeey, you could do the partner thing soon."
"I don't remember mentioning a partner thing."
James licked his lips as he tried to remember what the phrase he'd first used was. "Designated driver. Only, instead of just dragging me to a car, we'd be getting sloshed together."
"That does sound more fun."
James was always talkative, but now that he was sloshed, he wasn't stopping. He really liked Sirius. He liked him for lots of reasons, but right now he liked that Sirius was encouraging him. He wasn't getting mad at James for continuing to talk all through the cab ride, or as he helped him up the stairs to his flat. "You're so wonderful," James mumbled.
"Thanks," Sirius said with a laugh. He fished around James's pockets for his keys. James turned and rested his head on Sirius's shoulder, which did make it easier, but somehow he thought that wasn't what James had had in mind.
"You're so pretty," he said, turning his face into Sirius's neck.
"Thanks," he said again. "It's nice to be appreciated."
"In all my life, I've never met someone that made me feel like you do," James said.
"I don't know what you just said, but I'm going to assume it was complimentary."
James nodded. He kissed Sirius's neck because it was there. "The prettiest damn thing I've ever seen."
Sirius swallowed thickly. He didn't need to understand the language to know that whatever James said was something he would appreciate. The kiss sent tingles down his spine, and James's mouth was still resting close enough to him that Sirius could feel his breath hot against his skin. "As much as we would enjoy that, I thought we agreed to wait."
"You're right. You're just so pretty," he whined. "It's really not fair. You should try to be less pretty; it would make my life easier."
"You can live with it," Sirius said. He finally found the keys and put it in the door for him. He unlocked it and pushed the door open. James looked pretty comfy where he was, and it made shuffling him inside his flat a bit harder than getting him here had been. "C'mon mate, you've got to get in bed."
"But you're not there," James said, sounding awfully petulant about it.
Sirius chuckled. "No, but you'll get to sleep just fine without it."
"That's what you think."
"Love, you're drunk enough that you'll definitely pass out before the night's through."
"Aww, you called me 'love'. No one's ever done that before."
"Really?"
James nodded again, but since he wasn't leaning on Sirius as heavily this time, he swayed a little. Sirius was still right next to him though, so he was able to keep him from falling over. "My last boyfriend called me 'babe' but I sort of hated it."
"You do seem like you'd prefer the sweeter pet names. Sweetheart, things like that."
"Feel free to call me sweetheart as much as you want."
"I think I will. After I stop working on protecting you, that is. We've still got to wait, remember?"
"What I remember is issuing an invitation that never got an answer."
"I assumed you knew my answer. Or was I not obvious enough about my interest?" Sirius asked quietly.
"I would say that subtlety passes me by," James said. "But I got it now, thanks. You sure I can't convince you to stay?"
"Not while I'm working for you, and definitely not while you're sloshed." Sirius brought him to his room and took off his shoes when he collapsed back on the bed. "If you want to get undressed more, you're going to have to do it yourself, sweetheart," he said, then kissed James's forehead. "I'll see you tomorrow."
*
The day for James to no longer need a bodyguard felt like it took forever, but he could grudgingly admit that it had been a good idea. None of it had been serious, but he was told-- by Sirius-- that that's because having a bodyguard was often a large deterrent. In his time as James's bodyguard, Sirius successfully intimidated several people and got physical with one. James would be lying if he said that it hadn't been hot to watch, but he also wasn't going to say that out loud-- it made him feel like he was the heroine in a teen adventure book.
"So, do I have to take you on a date before I get to kiss you?" James asked.
"I wouldn't want you to think I'm easy," Sirius replied with a wink.
"You like curry? I know a good place."
Sirius made a face. "I only like it from one restaurant, and it's all the way up in Wales."
"Wait," James said slowly, a smile creeping across his face, "are you talking about Andi's?"
"Yes, you know it?"
"Bloody love it. I can't make the trip as much as I want, but if you're willing, we can definitely go up there."
"I can think of worse things than spending time with you on the way to the best curry in the UK," Sirius said.
*
James rented a car because it was easier than taking a cab that far, and it was definitely more private than a train-- which would only be able to take them part of the way anyhow. He wanted for them to be alone anyways, so that they could catch up on all the flirting they'd missed. Not to say that there had been a drought of flirting while Sirius was his bodyguard, but after they agreed to date when his contract was up, they'd tried to tone it down.
They didn't have to worry about that anymore.
The drive was okay, dinner was great, and Sirius snogged him for a bit after they got back in the car but before they drove back to London.
"How the hell do you feel even better than you look?" James whispered, stealing another kiss.
Sirius chuckled. "I was about to ask you the same question, love."

for a prompt, if it suits you: sirius and regulus as younger kids, and sirius saying he'll marry remus (a friend from the playground)? just some brotherly content and baby sirius being very determined to marry remus, if you like that idea :)
HELLO!! thank you for your prompt, i’ve not written anything in months so this was good practice for me :) i’ve written the boys to be slightly older, in their teens, but still pretty young nonetheless. this is kinda short and kinda vague, but imagine it however you like it to be! i’m sorry if it’s shit, i wrote this in under an hour and i’ve been really woozy the past few days from sleeping so much 😅
p.s. there’s implied child abuse here so be careful if it’s something that bothers you!!!!
————————
“Reg, wait! Don’t run so fa– Shit.”
In that moment, Sirius Black knew he was done for. He’d be in for a whooping once he got home.
Hurrying over to where his younger brother had crashed into another boy on a skateboard, Sirius was mentally preparing his apologies for not taking care of Reg, knowing they’d be futile anyway.
“–so so sorry, are you alright?” The other boy was already fussing over Regulus, checking him over for injuries and wincing at the open wounds on his palms.
Regulus dazedly nodded up at the boy as he was carefully hauled up to his feet. Sirius came to a halt in front of the pair, hurriedly grabbing Regulus by the shoulders and turning him to face himself.
“Reg, shit, I told you to be careful, mom and dad are gonna murder me, but nevermind that, are you okay? Any broken bones? Oh dear god, your palms are bleeding, I–“
A hesitant tap on the shoulder had him whirling around to face the other boy. He had forgotten he was even there. And oh god.
The boy’s golden tanned skin was flushed from the adrenaline. His chocolate brown eyes were wide and fearful, and he averted his gaze to the floor, bringing a hand up to run through his mass of golden curls. He chewed on his bottom lip nervously, and Sirius found his eyes locked onto the sight.
He was beautiful.
The boy looked back up at Sirius, and it was then he realised that he was actually saying something to him.
“I’m sorry, what?”
“Erm, I have some... Some bandages. I–I’m sorry. I should’ve looked at where I was going...” He trailed off, looking at Reg.
“Don’t worry about it, I’m fine,” Regulus was in a strangely good mood for someone who just got barreled into by a stranger on a skateboard.
The boy led the two brothers to a bench by the side of the pavement where Regulus planted himself onto. Sirius was still staring at him as he fished his bandages out and started tending to Reg. He was clad in a loose fitting white graphic tee, baggy, black denim jeans which were ripped at the knees, and black vans. While he looked like any typical teenage skateboarder, which Sirius abhorred, he found himself immediately drawn to him. There was something about this boy that made him different. Sirius couldn’t place his finger on it.
He watched as the boy sat on the floor in front of Reg to clean his scraped knees, and how his hair caught the sunlight, giving him the sudden desire to run his fingers through those curls. The two boys were making easy conversation, their small accident forgotten. Reg was smirking at the boy and he blushed furiously, making him even redder than he already was previously. Even after he had finished cleaning up Reg’s wounds, he leaned back on his hands, grinning at something Reg was saying.
“–he’s kind of an idiot. Just look at him.”
Two pairs of eyes turned to him, and his brain snapped back into focus.
“Huh?” He frowned at his younger brother.
“See what I mean?” Reg gave the boy a smug look, and the latter promptly burst into laughter. He stuck his hand out towards Sirius.
“Remus. Nice to meet you.”
Sirius grasped his hand, finding the warmth of Remus’ palm very comfortable and very welcoming. He never wanted to let go.
“Sirius. And you’ve met my brother, Regulus. Are you alright?”
Remus smiled shyly as he let go. “Yeah, only I’m twice the size of your brother so if you should be worried about anyone it’s him. I’m fine. I hope you’re not gonna get into too much trouble with your parents, though.”
Sirius waved it off, feeling the distinct absence of warmth and trying to push the thoughts of wanting another excuse to touch Remus to the back of his mind.
They talked for hours, realising that they were enrolled into the same school, starting in a month’s time. Sirius learned that Remus just moved into the neighbourhood weeks ago, which was why they had never met before. He picked up skateboarding years ago, and he loved skating in the park whenever he could, feeling his worries leaving him and reveling in the way the wind in his hair made him feel like he was flying. He also loved photography, and would roam around the neighbourhood from time to time, taking photos of this new environment he was in, learning every street one by one as he explored them.
Sirius wanted to know everything about Remus, and vowed to do so someday.
It seemed that the boys lived only a couple of blocks away, so they headed back together as the sun was due to set in half an hour or so. Remus cruised alongside the Black brothers, and Sirius found himself staring for too long on more than one occasion, captivated. He stayed mostly silent as Remus and Regulus chatted on animatedly, with Reg practically begging Remus to let him have a go on his skateboard sometime. Remus chuckled and directed his next question at Sirius, “What do you say, Sirius? I can teach you both if you’d like.”
Sirius’ face split into a grin.
Later that night, Sirius lay in his bed, rubbing aloe vera on the stinging marks left by his parents all over his palms. He winced on reflex, but his mind was on the golden boy he said goodbye to hours ago.
“Sirius?” He looked up, seeing Reg’s face peeking through the small opening of the bedroom door. “Can I come in?”
Sirius shrugged, and Regulus slipped into the room as silently as he could, flopping onto the bed beside where Sirius was sat.
Regulus stared at the ceiling. “I’m sorry they hit you again. I should have been more careful.”
“I should have taken better care of you. It’s alright. I’m used to it at this point.” Sirius smiled ruefully.
“You seem to have taken a liking to Remus earlier, haven’t you?” Reg’s elbow nudged Sirius’ thigh playfully, and without even looking at him, Sirius knew he was smirking knowingly.
“He’s gorgeous, and there’s something about him. I dunno, he’s just a puzzle I can’t seem to piece together. There’s more to him than what he lets on,” Sirius laid on his back then, shoulder to shoulder with Regulus.
“Are you going to ask him out? Date him?” Reg prompted.
Sirius looked thoughtful for a moment. Then, his lips quirked into a soft smile. “I’m gonna marry him someday. Just you wait.”

All in the Family
Chapter 80: The Unexpected Task
Lily's landing was actually not uncomfortable for once. She floundered in place upon her back, but it was soft material ruffling behind her whatever it was. Worry spiking if this was some sort of trap to compel her to get comfortable, she sat up abruptly, bunching the silk blanket in her hand suspiciously. She found herself in a luxury room fit for a princess.
The canopy bed was baby blue with pink lace, the pillow looked scandalously shaped perfectly for her head, there was even a thin film draping's that were almost see-through and felt cool as rain to the touch, but were blocking out almost all the light. The moment she pushed them aside, they glided away without a second thought, and she could see a window, leading out onto the Hogwarts grounds. She stood at it for a long time, seeing Hagrid's cabin in the distance, and got a strange guess of where she was, but wanted further proof. She got it almost immediately when she passed the trunk at the end of the bed wide open with Beauxbatons uniforms neatly folded inside, and The Book resting on top. They must be inside their carriage then, possibly with Fleur making a larger appearance in the coming chapter.
Inspecting the area just a bit more, she found a private bathroom that resembled a spa more than anything, and would have believed it if someone told her she spent a weeks worth of time just enjoying being by herself and not thinking of anything but how warm the water was, even if she couldn't read any of the french labels. Once she got out she swayed on her feet for a few moments with comfortable exhaustion, for once, deciding that as she'd landed in here and nobody had come to call yet, another good rest was in order. They'd all stopped plenty of times in the past with mutual sleep at hand. It took nothing else to convince her to crawl back into the strange bed and the slightest of tugs had the curtains back around her before she was out.
Frank dithered uncomfortably in the hallway. He'd grudgingly passed several open and inviting beds in the long, candelabra lit hallway just to find Alice, to assure she was alright and this wasn't some weird trap for Harry's next task, but he'd found her peacefully asleep. She'd even found a room with some muggle invention that had music playing from a big black disk she'd figured out how to work, it sounded like a nice string quartet in the whole room. However, he didn't want to assume just because they'd shared a bed together once she'd be okay with it again, especially in even more, ah, private quarters as all of these rooms seemed set for individuals. He'd just turned away and decided to just sleep in the room across, honestly the floor looked comfortable enough to nap on at this rate, when a giggle behind him made him twirl around to see she'd rolled over and was laughing herself silly at him before beckoning him to get in while wiggling to the far side of the bed.
"But Moony!" Sirius whined, managing to sound like an irritable six year old despite being ten years plus that. "Why not just take the opportunity while we can to not have to sleep in the same place as those two wankers, I quite enjoyed it last time."
"Because last time, we hardly slept a wink," he didn't need to elaborate, and was glad they hadn't found the other two yet as he couldn't quite suppress a blush. "We're finding them first you dolt."
They'd already passed several rooms containing their other quest members asleep, and Remus was just beginning to wonder if he'd passed them accidentally somehow when he came across a room with stripped bedding, and now sure at least they were thinking the same as him, he kept his hold on Sirius and dragged him along until he found what must be the equivalent of a living room in a mansion inside this pumpkin carriage. Peter was already curled up on the queen sized sofa, fidgeting with his school tie despite the fact it was loose enough to come off. James was upside down in a squashy armchair Maxime herself could stretch out in, his glasses placed carefully on top but eyes wide awake.
There hadn't been this much awkward silence between the four of them since their first year, those first few months before they'd even decided if they liked each other, let alone would become the best friends they were supposed to be. Both of them still grinned when they entered, and Sirius couldn't stop a small, albeit grudging smile as he shook his head at the lot of them, calling them sentimental fools as he snatched some covers from the floor and padded down in yet another available couch next to the purple lit fireplace that had wine goblets only half empty he'd save for breakfast. Remus barely had time to smile before he too passed out amongst the synchronized snoring, letting his feet tangle together with Sirius' but resting on the opposite arm of the couch.
Regulus stretched languidly as he awoke, still as disoriented as ever to find the light outside was exactly where it had been when he'd gone to sleep, but the comfortable bed had rivaled his own and who evers room he'd borrowed had good taste. There were posters of all of the French National Quidditch Team doing their signature move, the Blitzen Ballet, across several posters, which had been what had drawn him into the room in the first place.
He pulled some individually wrapped macaroons out of his pocket and began eating those as he went through the rest of this persons belongings, finding several textbooks all in French he couldn't follow, but not the book they needed. He didn't really fancy going through every room to find it, but he also didn't want to start until he knew everyone was awake- "The Unexpected Task." He crumpled a purple one up in his hand in surprise all over the blokes belongings. Well, clearly Evans didn't have those same reserves.
James startled awake with a yelp, flopping right out of the chair and confused for several long moments. Whoever would have thought waking up to the sound of Evans' voice would give him heart failure? The others were stirring with only slightly more dignity, he couldn't even blame Sirius when the first thing he did was reach up and snag those wine glasses to finish them off as her voice echoed around them before they'd even had morning tea.
"Evans does an impression of McGonagall telling off Harry too well," Peter groaned, trying to shove the blanket through his skull.
Remus looked like he was trying to burrow into the couch for more rest without comment, and James and Sirius woke up too hungry to really be paying much attention as their head of house held up Ron and Harry after class for something as silly as not paying attention. The two of them were busy trading a basket of fried fish back and forth and lamenting how fast it was vanishing when they simultaneously choked on the cold batter upon hearing no detention was being served, but quite the unexpected task indeed.
"Harry has to wha-?" Remus actually jerked his head free from his cocoon.
"Get a date, and dance her?" Peter repeated, inspecting the sleep he'd rubbed from his eyes as if expecting to find something else contaminating him.
"Or him," Sirius corrected with a suddenly wicked smile, "maybe he'll ask Ron, you don't know Wormy." The snide remark had slide easily from his tongue as he envisioned the fun of Hogwarts hosting something like a dance, it wasn't until he looked over to see his mate blush and stammer at the idea that he really, fully woke up. He wouldn't have believed it five seconds ago himself.
Peter was smiling to himself despite not able to look over at Sirius, and James swooped in to save the awkward silence. "Listen to this poor kid telling McGonagall he isn't going to do it! A books not good enough anymore, I'd pay money to see this in action!"
For just a moment, they all got a good laugh out of that.
They weren't the only ones, Frank and Alice were having their own fits of laughter still curled up in bed. Frank could at least sympathize with Harry though as he struggled to even conceptualize asking Cho out, he'd had a crush on Alice for months before he'd over heard her struggling with Charms and offering to tutor her. Asking her out, outright and to a dance, would have been insanity at that point. They both listened intently for any hint of what Neville would be up to during all of this. As much as they sympathized with Harry not being able to go alone because of his public dancing, they very much hoped Neville would at least be mentioned going with some friends rather than not at all.
Lily was giving herself a very hearty pat on the back for deciding to read this one alone. She was sure it wasn't just her imagination hearing the obnoxious laughter of the Marauders over this adorable idea, barely a teenager Regulus' pompous expression and possibly boasting he'd been trained to waltz before he could walk, and worst of all Frank and Alice's adoring looks at each other. She liked the both of them, more and more as they talked honestly, but her own life right now didn't leave her in a good position to be happy the only two people she could possibly count as friends during all this were dating and she felt like she was a third wheel half the time around them.
It was even more than that, if she were being honest with herself. While the idea of getting to dress up like that for the evening sounded nice in theory, she had about as much chance of going with anyone as Harry did Cho. Her heart sank for the poor lad as his crush admitted she was going with Cedric. Her prospects were even less endearing. Potter would ask her, of course, and anyone who proceeded to afterwords would likely end up in the hospital wing for one various reason or another until the offers stopped for a time again. And Sev...
She flipped the page hurriedly, it would be too obvious now if she stopped to stew over this, someone may come and see where she was and she wanted to actually enjoy this alone chance while she had it.
Regulus listened with the most absent of attention to these teenagers getting turned down left and right, the Marauders laughter echoing out into the hallway as he went exploring the rest of the carriage. Was he the only one who still remembered someone had put Harry in this tournament for more than embarrassing him? Nobody had even bothered to speculate on a suspect in ages, Regulus didn't really buy it was Karkaroff himself. It wasn't improving his mood he'd had no one to talk to in a while now, of course now that Peter had made up with his friends and they were all chummy again he'd go right back to being ignored. He should have known nothing about his life would ever really change no matter how much he heard.
He startled in surprise upon opening the next door as an orange cat came tottering out of the room, immediately twirling around his legs and purring in affection. Shaking his head in disbelief someone would bring their pet on this trip, he bent down regardless and gave a friendly scratch on the felines rump as he looked around once more, finding something new to wonder on. Why was it the pets were usually present? Magical animals as well, he reminded himself with a shiver of disgust at the basilisk. The paintings had all been present to, but he'd have never considered them as people. What was the criteria then for what was left behind as they were thrown around this place? It was something to ponder on at hand anyways, as he found himself sprawled on the floor, covered in cream colored fur while Hermione Granger dropped the surprise she'd gotten a date but wasn't telling who.
The chapter was finally coming to an end with everyone successfully getting dates, and Regulus snorted in disgust, was he the only one not obsessing with romance around here?
